No starting balance. Next is basically useless for me, as there's no way to input a starting balance. Why would I check an expenses app that doesn't tell me how much I have left to use?

Number of categories. How do I edit the number of categories? I just use 10, but I can’t find a way to delete the unnecessary ones. Thanks.

Broken. Been using your app for two year. It’s broken af right now. Fix it please.

Confused. It's good app if I didn't own money book app (developed by the same people), i am having money book app, i liked that very much. i bought it to see something interesting but disappointed. There is no money book integration .. this app will be good as update to money book rather than a separate app, hope to get money book integration soon .. Either way I end up in wasting couple of bucks .. I don't require two apps to track my expenses ..

Love to manage my spending. The app fits my need to manage my spending each month. I like to see how much I spent per week, month, and year. This fulfill my needs so far. Only thing that should be added is a budget function.

Icons confusing. Agree with others about the beautiful design but weakness when it comes to icons/categories. There are multiple icons for things that don't relate to me (sports, cars, shopping) and I'm unable to find icons for some of my expenses such as music equipment (buying music isn't the same thing). Would be good to either have more icons from which to choose or ability to create our own.

Just a little to basic. The app perfectly simple and it is easy enough to use but it’s just to basic. All it does is add. You can see what you have spent but not how much you have left. You can add expenses but you cannot reconcile the information against your bank statement. You can track expenses but what’s that point if you cannot also track income. This app needs a bit more and it would be a perfect simple finance app. As it is it’s not a finance app it’s just a calculator that only does addition.

Very promising app but.... ...missing the ability to enter your account balance to track it against the expenses entered. Needs this ability to be truly functional. Also, would love to have the decimal automatically added to the number entry field. Great interface...best looking expense tracking app. Hope there is an update soon.

App crashing. For this version when I tried to edit the description of a blank entry the app would crash and goes back to the home screen.

Beautiful and functional. This is a great looking app and has most every feature you could want from a micro transaction tracking app. Export, iCloud Sync, aggregate views and both an iPhone and iPad clients. The iPad client is a separate download but there are additional features and a different yet equally beautiful interface. Tracking my expenses and spending using an app such as this tends to cause me to spend less because I'm constantly being reminded that I'm spending money. This app causes the opposite reaction! I can't wait to spend money because it means I'll have a reason to use this app!

Could improve. The app is clean and smooth, but it's annoying that you're forced to have so many icons on the main screen. There are only 9 categories I want to use, so the other icons are just clutter. It would also be nice to have the option of words rather than icons. The icons-only style sacrifices functionality in the name of clean design.

Perfect.. Super fast entry of expenses. Nice iOS7-style look. Easy to see totals and category breakout by day/week/month/year. This app is the only one I can use consistently because it's not overwhelming. It does just what I need to track expenses and does it in a really clean, intuitive way. This update adds ability to include a description with your expense. I had emailed the developer to request this (along with hundreds of others, I'm sure) and they replied right away, letting me know it would be in the next update. Responsiveness to customers and frequent useful updates are important factors, and they assure me that this app is going to get even better over time. Well-worth it.

Recurring Expenses!. I absolutely love everything about his app. It's simplicity and functionality go hand in hand to deliver the best expense tracker on the App Store. The ability to view your data across all devices with iCloud is absolutely spectacular. The only thing this is missing is recurring expenses! There are expenses that happen frequently and it's a bother to put them in time and time again. If these could be viewed as "upcoming expenses" and be faded out until that designated day, that would be amazing. Then the user can know that the expense will still show.

Icons also need titles. Found some of the icons confusing. Would have liked a category name to also display either when I selected the icon to enter an expense or display when I swiped left to the transactions list page..

Very Promising V.1. This app isn't everything I would want, but I'm sure it will be eventually. At the moment it is beautiful and intuitive, but lacking just a little functionality. With a lot of feedback and some work, it will be 5 stars. The main improvement I foresee has to do with expense categories. The symbols you select from aren't exactly exhaustive or crystal clear. I'd like to be able to customize this part a little. Like being able to ditch buttons you won't use (I'd lump coffee in with snacks and eating out) or adding buttons for specific expenses (I *guess* my Internet bill goes in with my rent?). Like I said, works at the moment, will work even better soon.

Simple and pretty; not quite intuitive.. Needs the option of descriptions. The keyboard would make more sense to withdraw after each entry. Automatic decimal points should be a given at this point. The aesthetics of the app are on par with Apple, but the intuitiveness is nowhere. It's still my favorite expense tracking app because I only look at total dollars spent.

Great but expensive. Very easy to use and very quick, this is just to track your expenses which you can commit to it easily since inputing the data is quick, but its a bit overpriced. Dont get me wrong there is no way you can find any other app this simple to input your expenses, but $2.99 is too high for just tapping numbers!

simple and perfect. Easy to start using, unlike other expense tracker apps I've tried. Just start entering expenses. Easy to edit entries (e.g., wrong date, wrong amount). Easy to see sorted totals by Week, Month, Year. This is *exactly* what I was looking for in an expense track app! Wishes - allow user-customizable text instead of pictures on Expense Category buttons - Passcode protection - And ability to dive into detail from Report/Graph view (but detail is available and edittabe in a different view). Just a great, simple, effective app.

Simply perfect. Dealing with anxiety over money is something very few apps do, particularly those that are based on personal finance. This app is the only one I have found to do so. It is beautiful, it is smart, it gives you a way to track your spending and figure things out, without headaches and confusion. I recommend it to my friends.

Fantastic. This app is great! Given that it's on version 1.0, I think we can definitely count on many new features in the future as well. I'd love to see iCloud support along with an iPad version. But this is leagues ahead of all the other expense tracking apps. Simple, beautiful, and intuitive.

Needs improvement. It's a good app but needs some basic functions: ability to label a transaction if need it, edit transactions, more icons and more descriptive ones, option to hide the icons I don't use, better use of the pallet color on the icons to see the most used ones and back up transactions to iCloud.

Great budget app. Apps come and go, but this one has stayed with me for yours.

The simplest and the best. Truly the best app for expense logging. It’s as simple as it gets and so as fast as it can be. It’s not an app for tracking your balances, you can use mint for that, this one is specifically for tracking where you money go to and keeping yourself on track. P.S. Also, on iPhone 11 pro with iOS 13.1 there’s a minor bug when sometimes top 1/3 of the screen gets empty, could you please check it? It’s not a problem as simple reopening app helps right away, but still.

Great app, but buggy in current version. The app crashes when inputting notes. Please, fix ASAP. I love using this app, and I want to keep using it, but it needs to be functional.

Tracks Daily expenses well. Often simple is all we need.

Great UI but lacks key features. Very nice app with a great UI, intuitive and fast. Unfortunately lacks with some key features needed for expense tracking. Does not have: multi currency support, tags, the ability to add notes to each expense, nor the possibility to define payment methods or groups. I'm on the road most of the time, between different countries and I use different currencies and payment methods, such as my company's credit card, mine or cash, therefore this app won't work for me. Guys at noidentity; One suggestion; if you didn't, take a look at CashTrails, they have the features and functionalities but they lack design. Best of luck.

The best personal expenses tracking app!. It's ridiculously simple to add your expenses which makes this the best app out there. Simple and easy to use. It's nice to see constant improvements and additions without compromising the simplicity and ease of use A Simple request is to be able to see the full list of transactions for a category in the week/month/year reporting screen, not just the top 3

Great potential, needs network sync. This is one great expense tracker app. Looks crisp and modern, allows entering of expenses in seconds, makes the user experience simple, intuitive, fast. Awesome features for an expense tracker. The best expense tracker - particularly for cash expenses - is what you have at hand and are likely to enter the expense when it happens, not wait around till you have a few minutes and forget the amount in the process. Should have had a 5 star rating, but it lost *two* stars for complete lack of sync. This is a significant oversight. This makes the app target singles only - anyone with a family would want to know the state of affairs of the entire family for the day / week / month, not just a single person. Hoping they get around to adding sync. Without that it's an app with a lot of potential that will go to waste.

Crashes. Crashes on latest version of iOS on iPhone 6S Plus when trying to give expenses names.

Fastest app. I love this app, specially because of how quick and easy it is to record an expense: just 2 taps besides the value. The one thing I wish was back are the big buttons— the new version has more white and useless space than clickable area.

Best and easiest expense tracker. I’ve been using Next since it first appeared. After trying many other apps, this is the one I’ve stuck. I use it with iOS and Mac daily. Recently, I had a problem with naming expenses. About four days after writing the developer about this, the update was there fixing my problem. Well worth a look if you’re hesitant.

CRASH. App is crashing on iPhone 7 Plus, IOS 11.1.2, when I try to insert a description/name to my expense.

A good app (if you're single). I love this app. Entering info is really easy, although the icons sometimes confuse me as to their meaning! I think for this app to be great, it needs to be syncable. As I alluded to in the title, if you're single this is a good app. I'm married though and although I use it my household expenses as a whole are not up to date. It would be nice to have a copy of this on my wife's phone and be able to sync between our phones to keep expenses current.

Top-Notch Expense Tracking. This is hands down the best expense tracking app I have used. I downloaded this app purely for the beautiful UI, and I discovered an amazingly organized, functional backbone. Next makes it fun, simple, and astonishingly satisfying to track my dwindling expenses. 👍

Moneybook isa better app than this one. I have been an user of moneybook for many years until now but because of the impossibility of download data to my computer I decided to try with next. It is a good app but I still think moneybook is a lot better.

Love this app!. I have been using Next for 5 years. I track all of my expenses and it is so convenient to put in one time and recurring expenses. I can quickly see by category how much I spent by month or year and selecting my own categories using the icons was great.

Pretty good, though.... This company is the same one that made moneybook, and there were features in that app that I feel like they could have used in this one: Backup/restore from backup. Link to mymoneybook online, so I can use this with all the data I've accumulated over the last two years. And notes, to type what each transaction was. That being said, I love the user interface of this app. It's slick! Much more so than MoneyBook ever was. And an iPad version would work wonders as well! I look forward to future updates. If they provide a way to link to my MoneyBook info then I'll just switch to that app. That's be lovely. It's still theirs. Still a loyal customer to this great company!

Great app!. This app is just what I was looking for in a expense tracker. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't track your balance, it just tracks expenses. I have to use another app so I know just how much I have in my bank account, which really takes me away from this app. Hopefully this will be added sometime though.

Missing basic functionality, five stars if fixed. I bought this thinking based on the pictures in the description that I could use my Apple Watch to input expenses, but discovered that I can only see the expenses I've previously inputted. The iPhone widget is equally useless. There should at least be an option to change the functionality of the Apple Watch app and the iPhone widget. I'll unfortunately sticking to the older Expenses OK which is much more functional with a widget that allows for direct input is expenses without having to load the app. But if the developers fix this problem, then it's four or five stars.

Perfect, but need Apple Watch version. It is all about ease of use and quick entry. That is why Apple Watch version is highly needed. For those who needs track complex transactions ( divided on multiple categories) or have many accounts etc. This app ain't for them

Clean and Simple, Immensely Useful. Next is great little expense tracker. Input is very simple and easy, and the visualizations are fantastic. The lack of clutter makes it very easy to keep track of your spending habits at glance. The iPad and Mac apps are also great, but I use the iPhone version the most by far.

Beautiful expense tracker, easy to use~. Pros: - Beautiful looking app, great icons & interface - Really fast workflow for adding expenses - Nice-looking graphs help track money usage over time Cons: - Holding finger over icons to switch to another image (and other gestures) hard to discover - Quick at adding "today's" expenses, takes more time to add earlier dates - Different from other apps, doesn't connect to your bank accounts & other advanced features (I don't mind though) All-in-all, the app is very nicely designed, and feels like its made to be purposely simple, and not overly complicated. While it doesn't have every feature under the sun, if you want to jot down expenses really quickly and track expenditure patterns over time, I highly recommend it.

Great update with recurring expenses. This app is awesome. I'd like to see more filtering options to view more than just the last five weeks or five months, but other than that, it's great! New icons are a bonus too. Great work.

good start but room for improvement. I like it a lot thoufh there's a few hassly bits. For it to be a 5 star app it needs: 1. a simple 'add' icon to add a new tile (category). 2. ability to delete tiles that aren't being used. 3. put the tile most recently used in top left-hand corner. This way the top few rows would always indicate what you are spending on most often. 4. be able to delete a mistake from any of the 3 screens. 5. a neater way to swipe away the number pad once done. 6. Cloud sync

Pretty Good. Simple tracking of expenses. If you want a log of spending, this is not for you. A total spend for the day would be great. And in response to other comments, the love heart can be used for medical.

Nailed it. I love just how focused this app is on getting expenses logged. By far the easiest expense logging experience I've had, which is great since I'm prone to not logging. Love the ability to sync and get more details on expenditure on iPad and Mac too. One thing that seems missing is a breakdown of total expenses over a month, and what categories made up percentages of that month. Other than that though, it's flawless.

Can't delete tiles. Can't delete tiles. Also can't set recurring bills (ie I will get at least 86$ a month for my cellphone bill so I want to set it once and forget about it for the next 17+ months

more development. I am unclear what some of the symbols are for, there's a paintbrush ok, but some are obscure with no info button to explain them. also cannot delete an entry. long way to go on this app.

Thanks for a great app!. I've had this app since early on and the improvements have made a big difference. At a glance you can tap in expenses for whatever you're spending on, then see daily totals as well as graphs on spending on, say, coffees or hardware. Very flexible and versatile. And a big plus is being able to edit/delete your entries, or add expenses after the fact if you've forgotten. Thanks team for an enjoyable and useful app!

Simply beautiful and fast. This is the simplest and fastest personal budget tracking app I've ever used. I like how easy it is to enter expense and view it at a glance. Best app hands down needs widget. After using several horrible apps I found this gem. This app designer deserves an award and apple should notice and reward such amazing talent. I can't explain how user friendly this app is. Finally I never fail to add an expense and everything I need is already there on the app. Please add a budget option and a widget. Would be great to quickly add expense with a widget. Apple should make this one app of the week for its design..

Easiest to enter expenses. It's a breeze to enter expenses..the quickest way I've found on any app. Very modern interface as well. However, I do agree with other reviewers on two points of improvement: - Ability to add more categories - Ability to label categories It's get a bit difficult when you have resuse some unused icons/categories for other categories that are needed.

I like it. The look of the app is very neat and the sounds make it more fun to use, pretty useful as well, expense tracking made good looking!!

Love this UI. Pros: fantastic, dead simple UI for tracking expenses quickly and easily. Cons: I would rather see a two-step price (Mac and ios) rather than paying three times. Exporting data to a numbers doc should be more direct than treating it as a backup.

Good but has weird limits. You can’t add/remove categories. You’re stuck with the once they gave you. You can only change the icon. Like Why? That’s just dumb. If you want something simple, I don’t want to see categories I don’t use. There is no way to label categories, you just have icons. It’s hard to remember abstract things such as healthcare or “fun stuff” via random icons. I’d like to at least have the option to have labels. Overall, this feels not well designed like apple, but more as unfinished by a guy who is busy doing other stuff.

Can be improved.. I would need to see the total amount of expenses for previous months not just individual expenses. A graphic would be great too to help visualize where you put more money and which months were more expensive etc. I would also like to determine a monthly budget and expenses substrated from that amount.

Great app. Could use small changes. Perfect for my uses. Tracking expenses as quickly and effortlessly as possible. Worth $2 for sure. I think in an update they need to change just minor usability issues, and enhance the emblem system it uses as expense categories which at the moment can be a bit confusing. Also, I need help now on how to decide between this and MoneyBook. What do I do noidentity?!

Love the app, hate the response time. I have used this app off and on between my time using YNAB. I love it. It's clean, quick to input, and useful. I don't love the fact that I've emailed the dev and tweeted at them with no response.

Simple and fast. I love that it's a quick process. You punch the numbers and you're done. But, I really wish it would keep the total of each month expenses. Then it would be perfect.

Needs more options!. Great app very simple to use. Would be nice to have a label on each category icon that was visible so you know what they are.

Great looking app. This is one of the best looking expense tracking app out there! It is very simple to use and handy when it comes to just keeping a record of how much you spent and on where. I just wish they can have an area for income, so we can compare how much we are making to how much we are spending. Plus, I hope they will add more icons in the near future.

Works great! Some minor improvements needed.. Is fast and simple to use. Would help it had a guide to exactly what some of the icons are. It would be nice if you could delete or hide certain icons. Also, if you could change the whole UI to black instead of white as an option would be perfect.

Great interface, function needs improvement. I like the feel of this app overall but the lack of ability to edit an existing item is a huge flaw. It needs full edit functionality. Otherwise I'm liking it though, I just would like an update.

It really just works!. This is the first expense tracking app on iOS that I love. It does what it says, tracks your expenses with simple categories. No connecting to your bank, no budgets or bloat! It's smooth operation and intuitive interface is beautiful. There could be some improvements here and there (ability to remove unused icons) but overall it's great!

Next. This app is simple and useful, but a few things which I think are missing are: - a way to add money, such as when I cash a cheque (this way I can track how much money I make, not simply spend) - a way to remove icons which I do not use, as currently there is a set amount of icons which cannot be changed -lastly and least important, if possible, a way to remove "shortcuts" added to the 3D Touch menu Overall the app is useful, the simplicity of it is the best part, and there are some subtle features which make it nice, but i think making a few small enhancements would largely increase its functionality, thanks!

Great interface, but needs a budget!. This app is exactly what I want, but it needs a monthly budget function and it would be nice if it would calculate a daily budget based on the money you've spent. Add those two things and I'll bump it to 5 stars... The interface and simplicity is really nice, though!

Not for 6 plus. Looked promising via reviews; however, current version does not display correctly on the 6 plus. The app only uses half the screen. Very strange. Also it wants to display information off the screen and when I try to see the partial image I can't scroll to view the data. Hopefully this is addressed quickly.

Easy register. Just needs option to add deposits & would make it even better. Beats using a checkbook to keep track of transactions when I remember

Pretty, but lacking in features. Things I don't like: 1) Data is locked to app. There's no option to export or import, even from Moneybook, which is made by the same developers. 2) No text input. Although the app will display a list of transactions, bizarrely the transactions can't be labeled. 3) No balance support. The app only lists transactions. It can't show you how much money you have left. In the same vein, there's no option for transactions where you earn money. I can't recommend this app. Get Moneybook instead.

Nice look but too simple. love the look and feel of this app for tracking spending but needs a bit more info to be useful. No way to add name of expense, place or even a note! Good to look at, hope it become more robust in the future.

Great simplistic app for keeping track of expenses!. This is as close as you get to an effortless expense tracking solution. Well worth the cost, because this one will stick on my homescreen!

Not bad, but not for me. Great idea, but it is too "cute" for me personally. The icons for expenses, for example, do not fit me personally. Less cuteness and more practicality is what I prefer. It does have some good features, so it might work well for you.

Descriptions. Still hoping we get to give some description towards each expenditure! eg. Lunch, dinner, etc

Basic function is not complete. After entering a transaction, the dialog would persist, preventing me from entering another transaction. This is, in my opinion, the most basic function that should be working perfectly well for a paid app.

Great, but.... It would be really convenient if there was a little note section to say what the money was spent on.

Almost there!. Phenomenal visuals but I can't see it as a winner until it adds a few features. The only two features I'm craving are labeling and income tracking. Those would have me using this a lot more. In its current state it is just a simplistic and gorgeous app.

Great update, developer listens to feedback. Finally updated with recurring expenses as requested! UI improved, nice new features. Use this app every day!

What's the point?. What is the point of tracking expenses without being able to subtract the expenses from a current balance? How hard would it be to just let us add a + transaction that we can subtract from? As it is, this app must be ancillary when, with 1 simple additional feature, it could be fully useful.

Nice first release, hoping an update will bring features. I'm all for minimalistic and fast expense tracking, but I would like to see a choice of more categories/icons. For example, I don't own a car, but two icons relate to cars. That's a waste of screen real-estate for me.

Nice!!!!. But please make an option to have the expenses repeat each month and have it remind you 3 days before the bill posts.

Income. Finances are more than just expenses. How does someone keep record of their funds if they can't enter in their income. I think an income option should be available as well.

Updated!. I've been with this app since 1.0. it's great for tracking expenses ( not how much u make) and is really simple yet has the depth that you need. I use it everyday

So fast to use. I love using this app because it's simple and helps me track my budget without wasting my time.

Opinion. I wish it would let me name the icons even tho they have pic I want to use one for a diff purpose that what it was intended like the coffe icon I don't got coffe shops I would just use it for for food or drink all together for example

Killer app for the Watch. When I first started thinking about what apps would be good to have on the Watch, Next is the first that came to mind. Pay with Apple Pay, launch the Watch app and log the expense… perfect!

Good idea. A good product design ideas. recoding is difficult to persist. You make it become easier!

Even better every update!. Recurring expenses! Filters! Plus everything else that made this one of my docked apps for years.

Perfect balance of info and simplicity. I've wanted an app like this for a long time. For expense tracking purposes, it doesn't matter what specific restaurant I eat at. All that matters is that I spent money on eating out.

Best expense tracking app!. Love the update :) And thanks for putting big careful considerations into the Watch app. This is one of few actually working & useful apps among thousands of Watch apps.

Great update!!! Great little App. I usually dislike putting in expenses. This app makes it very quick and simple. Some icons are very vague and have no clue what they stand for, maybe add a description when you hold down on an icon. This app has lots of potential.

Great app! Just for expenses!. Awesome app! In my point of view the only thing which is missing is that you can add income or budget. Otherwise, really easy to use and starts fast!

Great potential but needs work. Love the lay out but there are no names for the categories and no way to customize them either. Also if it had a budget feature that would be even better. Other then that great concept and layout.

Lacks a lot of functionality. Simple and clean UI, but that’s about it. It only uses icons for the categories without any type of text description. When you export expenses the icon show up in your spreadsheet, not a category name. That’s not very useful if you want to use this data for any other purpose on a PC.

Great!. Simple, with an elegant UI. Does exactly what I need it to, nothing more. Really quick, easy, and convenient way to see where your money is going.

More than I thought. I knew this was simple to use....what I needed. Now that I've discovered and played around more with various totals, filters, graphs-- easily accessed tho not all in plain sight ....superb.

Not impressed..... I am not impressed by an app with only cartoon like icons for each category of spending. I am not interested in trying to remember which silly picture means what. There should be a way to add a text label to categories or create your own.

Awesome. But a data save or export feature would be nice.

Great but missing one key feature.. I understand there is cloud sync, but the ability to share a database between two separate iPhones (my wife and myself) would be ideal I assume a dropbox sync would be expected - but this is certainly needed!

Should have more options in recursive expenses. Great app. Please add in daily, weekdays, weekend option for recursive expenses too. If can add from widget is much better
