Not Impressed with Latest Update. Until this update, sg was one of my fave apps for ordering food: I love the many, many options for order customization, the detailed item descriptions and topping images, and as a vegetarian, the ability to apply personal dietary restrictions as profile rules sets the bar for other meal order apps. On my first try, this latest version was a fail for me, though ... there is now no customer control over when to use rewards credit (and one has to use the app to order to get credit in the first place, which I have grumpily accepted). In my case, I have rewards dollars that don’t expire for three months, but they are automatically added in the app to my order with no option to ‘save for later’. Also, there is no notification that a store is closing soon - the app just kicks orders to the next day with no explanation if an order is made in the app within 30 minutes of a store’s closing. I understand that sg employees might want a half-hour buffer for app orders before a store’s closing - the app for a certain ubiquitous coffee shop does the same thing. But unlike said coffee shop app, there is no explanation that a store is closing soon and sg operation hours aren’t provided on the ordering page, so it’s easy to miss and really frustrating to go through the motions of making an sg order only to get to the order pick-up page and have ‘tomorrow’ as a customer’s first available option. How about a ‘closing soon’, sg?

Get this app.. I have always been a longtime fan and obsesser over sweetgreen & when i found out they had this app it became a whole new level. i now live and breathe sweetgreen and my life is significantly better because of it. this app is simple and has every feature i could hope for. i am a longtime supporter of the chipotle app and i would say this app tops it. Also the sweetgreen in Chicago (Wicker Park) is incredible. they’ve been serving me for 3 almost 4 long years. i owe them my life.

Great app—unless they run out of ingredients. I appreciate the convenience of being able to custom order online and avoid the line to pick up my order. The one drawback is that one evening the store I order from ran out of kale so they just didn’t make my order or even let me know that it was a problem for them until I walked in and couldn’t find my bowls on the pick-up shelf. There was a great deal of confusion about getting a credit issued and a new order placed, though those two things eventually happened. Unfortunately, my husband who expects the trains to always run on time was starving by then and wanted nothing to do with Sweet Green again. I also noticed that there were two big bunches of kale ready to be cut up so it seemed like the manager hadn’t allocated staff properly to keep food prep running smoothly. Another woman in line to make a new order had the same problem so anyone who wanted kale that evening was out of luck. This happened only once during the dinner hour. I order dinner online maybe twice a month and lunch about four times a month.

Spammy notifications. This app violates Apple’s guidelines by sending push notifications for promotional purposes, with no way to opt out except disabling all push notifications for the app. This should be remedied, or Apple should remove it from the App Store. I’m tired of apps spamming me with push notifications, especially when the only way to turn them off is to disable the app’s useful notifications. Edit: Developer has responded and says they hope to roll that out in the future. The developer should consider that they’re violating the Apple App Store guidelines. Section 4.5.4: “Push Notifications should not be used for promotions or direct marketing purposes unless customers have explicitly opted in to receive them via consent language displayed in your app’s UI, and you provide a method in your app for a user to opt out from receiving such messages. Abuse of these services may result in revocation of your privileges.” It would be great if Apple would actually enforce this.

Great, except …. The app works well. Delivery is always quick, orders are always correct, quality is always high. BUT sometimes the app itself just can’t get out of its own way. There are certain little friction points and bugs that just hang around for months and never seem to get fixed. Examples: - starting a new order, it ALWAYS says you have an order already in progress, which is actually the previous order that’s completed (whether that was yesterday or two weeks ago). So you have to nav to your previous order and manually “complete” that order - trying to check out, if you need to modify an order or go back, it often either gets into a loop where you keep having to start over, or won’t let you do anything because it thinks you’re trying to start a new order rather than edit your cart - if location services is off it defaults you to nyc, rather than the last location you ordered from

Great Food when You can get it. Food is delicious! I use this app for ordering lunch while I’m at work and it usually runs seamlessly but tonight I wanted to order dinner from home & almost everything I wanted to order was sold out - not at one store but multiple stores!!! So perhaps this complaint this isn’t so much about the app & more about the SG supply chain. I wish The app showed you in menu which things were sold out - it does tell you when you order the item but not when you just browsing the menu. Nevertheless I will keep using it and keep ordering b/c the food is so good

Marketing Notification Spam. I mostly like the app/food but I am frustrated by the constant notifications. Aside from the actually useful order alerts, I receive: 1. A notification asking me to “rate my experience” after every purchase 2. Notifications pushing me to try new items Over this last week I have received 15 notifications from Sweetgreen, with only 8 of those being relevant to my orders. Please add an option to disable marketing notifications without also disabling order alerts. Also, I saw another review on the app store mentioning this exact issue with a developer response saying they were working on it THREE YEARS AGO!! This is not something that is hard to implement. I can only assume that the continued lack of the feature comes down to a business decision to keep pushing as much marketing at users as possible. For a company that clearly prides itself in their social good and community-forward values this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. Marketing spam (when it is unwanted and cannot be disabled without penalty) is just another form of pollution. Please fix this.

DO NOT USE THIS APP…. if there is any chance that they may be out of a key ingredient of your order. They could not make my salad and told me to use the app again to get my refund. The person behind the counter was not very helpful, just directing me to the app. I asked for a receipt to prove that I did not receive my order. He just told me to use the app. This leads me to three major questions. 1. How can I be charged for something that I don’t get? 2. Why isn’t my card immediately credited when I don’t get it? And 3. Why do I have to spend my time begging for a refund on the app, with no real evidence that I didn’t get my order. This is a joke. And probably should be illegal under consumer protection laws. I am now waiting to hear back from the app. Fingers crossed, that I get my money back which should never have been taken from me in the first place. Let’s not even mention the fact that I wasted my time going to the store in the pouring rain to pick up something that wasn’t there. If the app is so good at taking my money, why can’t the person behind the counter hit a button saying the my order could not be filled and offer me another option for my order or an instant refund before I even get to the store. That’s what a professional app for a properly run business would do.

App so so. Food great. Even though I’ve used the Sweetgreen app dozens upon dozens of times (I’ve probably ordered over $1000 worth of salads), whether or not I’m ordering pick up or delivery often gets confusing. They need to re-design the app so you choose from the outset -in an obvious way- whether you are about to choose delivery or pick up. There is an option, of course, but the way it’s designed right now is confusing. I can’t tell you how many times I’m about to place my order and suddenly realize that it’s simply pick up… And there’s no way for me to change it at that point I have to delete the entire order and start over again,

5 bumped to 4 — Too much motion. I like how sleek and clean the interactions are in the app. It’s fun to swipe through the screens / menu. One thing I noticed though was I started to feel motion sick, oddly enough. I realized the direction the screens slide in is “backwards” from a US user perspective at least. For instance when viewing a menu item and then tapping on bag, the menu screen slides up and to the right. When navigating back the bag slides to the right and the menu comes back from the left. It should be the other direction: menu slides to the left and bag comes in from the right; navigating back pushes bag to the left and menu comes in from the right.

The UX UI can get better. There’s a lot of UX and UI problems on this app. First of all, the navigation has bugs; you can’t go back to the menu without ruining your current order. It is also confusing when you have to choose a place where to order from. When you want to repeat an old order, it’s hard to find where to edit your shopping list. Layout and visual design are on point, I’m a big fan. It just needs some user testing to fix navigation issues and interface placements. Not exactly a problem of Sweetgreen, but with the partnership with the delivery system/apps. Right now it seem to be fixed but before the orders would take forever to get picked up.

Not good. Normally, I don’t like confrontation, but this food was so inedible I literally could not swallow. It was coated in dressing, and I could not eat it. I tried to ask for a refund, even though I had taken a bite because it was so bad, but they would not give me a refund and they would not give me more. not to mention the food was really bad and all of the dressings and toppings were over priced. I wanted a little bit of cheese and even a piece of a potato but then they said it would cost me two dollars extra for each. It already cost $10 for a little bit of lettuce and a little bit of sweet potato and there is no way I could’ve paid for more I’m not gonna come back and you guys shouldn’t either.

Areas for improvement. When you go to the HP of the app, a prompt to review your last order takes up half the screen. I’m not sure why this is prioritized so much on such valuable real estate…do people want to rate every salad they eat? The food is all very consistent which is great. I wish instead new offerings and the menu would be prioritized on the homepage. I find it crazy hard to find the menu…I’m still not sure where its at. I just order from the past orders on the bottom of HP which is easy..but would be nice to have some product discovery.

New version is unusable. Was just forced to upgrade(believe it is to the iOS 11 version) and it just doesn’t work. Takes several minutes to simply load location and the ability to select the store, then I can’t even add anything to my order, getting an error to say to try this operator again or reload the app, which just starts the cycle over again. Can’t use until there is a new full version pushed out, clearly the number of bug fix versions in the last few minutes isn’t fixing the core issue.

Maddeningly Bad App, Good food. This app and the transaction experience is infuriating. Signed up, oops my email is already in use. Reset password, email takes several minutes. Create new password, then use it to log in. None of my info is in the account, except an old credit card. It took upwards of 30s to add any item to my cart. I set an updated default payment method, which was not honored at checkout, so the transaction bounced. Then the restaurant was out of both items I ordered. Then it “forgot” to apply the free delivery promo until I backed out and restarted the transaction. Fixing many of these things is easy. Add single sign on from Apple/Google etc, support Apple Pay, PayPal, etc. so I don’t have to trust people who can BARELY a salad app with my card info, email, and a password. Overall, not having these features made the transaction take longer than walking down to the restaurant.

Wonderful app! Highly recommended!. I absolutely LOVE the SweetGreen app! Not only does it make ordering and storing favorite meals easy but it also rewards you a ton! I’ve already earned TWO $9 credits in the last month or so. The more you order, the more quickly you earn another $9 towards your next meal. I love the way this app functions. It has beautiful interfacing, plenty of options and lets you know exactly where your food is in the process of getting to you. I love it! Way better than ordering off of a website- I recommend downloading this app.

Works Well. I enjoy the ease of ordering and picking up my salad at my convenience. I gave a 4-star rating because I placed an order a few days ago and when I arrived to pick it up the store was way behind in processing and I had to wait another 30 minutes. They seemed to be moving as quickly as possible but it was very chaotic, messy and at times some staff appeared to be standing around instead of helping. I have seen a notification on the app before when they were not able to process online orders but it would be nice to have a notification when orders are delayed as well. My co-worker submitted his order at the same time as me (and I know this because I was there when their ticketing system spit out the labels) but I got my order 15 minutes after him.

The Uber eats partnership is terrible. I like sweetgreen but their partnership with Uber eats has been terrible. My food is always late but today it’s even worse. The courier delivered the wrong food (that happens) but sweetgreen’s only response was ‘sorry, we can place your order again.’ They courier must’ve been 2 blocks away and he couldn’t come back to bring me my order? At the end of the day I never got my lunch. Sweetgreen support was not helpful. I guess this is their way of saying I should go on a diet.

Big Fan. The Sweetgreen app is nothing short of incredible. I’m a frequent at Sweetgreen, but this app greatly enhances my experience. I’m able to order ahead of time and stroll into my local Sweetgreen to pick it up when I am ready for lunch. The app not only makes ordering convenient, but customizable and intuitive/easy for the consumer. What’s more, the app has beautiful images of my options and reminds me of how healthy I’m being by eating salad! Even if you’re not a frequenter at Sweetgreen, the app has a scanner to track your rewards and allow you to pay with your iPhone in store (you have to connect your credit card / Apple Pay).

Confusing and Annoying. I think the way the app is set up is rather confusing and annoying. I also placed an order for pickup instead of delivery by accident because of this and so I immediately tried to cancel and re-order. There’s no way to cancel once you’ve placed the order through the app. So I had to call the phone number and you can’t talk to an actual human being. They text you. I did get refunded but the whole experience was really frustrating. You should be able to contact a human at the store somehow to resolve the situation more quickly.

Still kinks to work out. 3 things. First, when I checked out I got an error that said the transaction was incomplete. But I immediately got a confirmation email that said my order would be ready at the requested time. I also verified that my credit card had been charged. But the app still says I never made the order. Second, when I showed up at the designated time I waited by the shelves for my meal for seven or eight minutes. I then went to the cash register and asked about it and it turns out it had been ready the whole time behind the counter. Third, they were out of bread crumbs. So my meal was missing them. If I had just ordered in line and discovered this I would have ordered something else. This seemed like such a good idea but it was NOT a good experience. I regret using the app.

Two Annoying bugs. #1 After a favorite order is added to the bag(repeat order), clicking the “Modify” hyperlink opens the customization options for ingredients and there is no way to change the dressing from “on the side” or “mixed in”. I tap cancel and returns to bag. When I tap modify, I’m presented options to modify ingredients multiple times. Only method I’ve found is to click Modify cancel a bunch of times until I’m presented the sauce quantity options again. Weird glitch. #2 When initially ordering an item I find it confusing I add it to my bag, then decide if I was dressing on the side. I would think adding to the bag is the last step. The food is great though. But that is what Yelp is for.

Great! Except one thing.... This app has always worked well and has a great user interface! However, it would be great if you could get your salad mixed with dressing on the side. The salads are very generous, which is awesome, but unfortunately makes them hard to mix yourself (and the design of the bowl is such that you can’t shake it). However, whenever I’ve ordered a mixed salad, it is always absolutely saturated with dressing. Would love an option to have the ingredients mixed that would allow me to put the dressing on at home.

Fresh, delicious, and convenient. The app makes it so easy to order, and they have great salads as well as custom options. I live close to the Brentwood store so I am always ordering from there, but it’s so simple to switch to other locations when I’m out and about. The Brentwood store has great customer service and they are always so friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious and makes it so I can get some nutritious meals in several times a week. If I order through the app I get notifications, and it’s always ready on time. Picking up is a breeze. Highly recommend!

No default store setting. Need to be able to set the app to automatically order from my default store, not my last ordered store. Thanks for the refund when I accidentally ordered to the wrong (most recent) store, but I didn’t have time to wait for another one today. Fully worried I’m going to open the app in a rush again next time and order to the wrong (most recent) store again. Map also needs fixing. Takes 10+ seconds to load my current location even though location services are turned “on” and “always.” In this day and age that’s long enough to make you think the app is broken.

EDIT: Incredibly Broken App. EDIT: deleting and reinstalling the app fixed whatever glitch I was having below. I love sweetgreen overall, and the app is great when it works, which it is doing at this point. “I love sweetgreen and typically have a great experience all around. However, the recent version of the app is incredibly broken putting me in a perpetual order loop that I can never complete. I select delivery, add an item or two, but at checkout it defaults back to pickup. I go to change it back to delivery and it resets my order to nothing. I LITERALLY CANNOT ORDER DELIVERY. It rarely works.”

Doesn’t accurately reflect what’s in stock. I’m not sure who’s at fault for this, but the app CONSTANTLY tells me that my local NYC sweetgreens are out of certain ingredients when they’re actually not. This is especially annoying when I try to order an online-only salad and it claims they’re out of a key ingredient. I know it’s probably not true, and when I show up at the restaurant I can SEE it’s not true, but they still don’t allow me to order the salad in person. Then when I order it through the app, the ingredient they’re “out of” doesn’t even show up on the ticket. I’ve had the reverse problem as well: I had a “reward” in the app for a free can of a specific beverage. When I tried to redeem it in an online order, not only did it not show up on the ticket the store received, they were entirely out of the item. They kindly offered me a different drink instead. Stop aggressively pushing customers to use the app when it doesn’t even accurately reflect the items in stock at the restaurant!! And stop with the “online exclusive” nonsense!!

Love sweetgreens + super easy app. Everything about the app is awesome, very smooth functionality, and I also love the scan to pay function when I am in the store and forgot my wallet. Only complaint - there is no way to give custom instructions. For instance, if you want the salad tossed instead of dressing on the side (which is the default when ordering with the app), there is no way to let them know. And you can’t call a particular store either. Would also like them to customize the nutrition facts of certain ingredients - how many cals is the scoop of goat cheese?

ANNOYING Maximum Modification pop up! I hate this app.. I was trying to order on the browser when I realized it would be easier to download the app. I will say, positively the app is very simplistic and is easy to maneuver around however the editing your initial order is extremely frustrating! Specifically the “maximum modification” pop up which ultimately forces you to go back and re-enter your modifications to the order you want, even if you were to touch the option just to see for a price. This feature is so terrible and a clear gimmick to make you pay extra to build a bowl without being shut down! I understand the incentive of not switching up the bowl completely but then just don’t add the modifications and more salads options. I don’t want almonds and kale, I WANT TO SUBSTITUTE and I WOULD like to add lemon but can’t even pick a darn 2nd dressing options without the app cutting me off.. Don’t want to stop supporting because love the salads but will not support electronically.

Just want to order food!. This app is not working for me at all. These are the problems I encountered: - Was told by the in-store personnel that I could order after closing hours for the next day but the app cannot do it for my location! - was told by the same in-store personnel that I could enter my in-store purchase into the app to get credit for the purchase - but this is NOT possible - when I attempted to contact troubleshooter through the app, I ended up on a screen that led nowhere - I had to exit the app and start over - there is no easy way to delete an item from my order for example, if I ordered a drink and then realize I don’t need it, there is no way to just delete the drink from my order. Also, I doubt that it would be easy to go back and change an order - ie if I need to remove beets from an item that I already confirmed for my shopping basket. - all of above makes it frustrating and impossible to use this app - certainly for my geographical location. I don’t know about California but I’m not going to fly there to pick up my lunch. And of course even though I’ve now downloaded this app, I will not be able to apply my in-store purchases to the rewards that you are offering the app users. Please take a look at the Starbucks app - while not perfect, it actually works and I can get my coffee.

Pretty good, a few tweaks would make it great. It’s still faster to go to the store than to order on the app, though that’s starting to get better. Other weird quirk - the app doesn’t let you access previous orders once you start ordering from the menu. The problem is that when they’re out of some ingredient, it replaces it automatically which is fine. But when you reorder, you want the original order not the one it did the replacement on. So when you start ordering from previous orders, you end up with the auto-replacement order not the thing you want.

The best of places with the worst circumstances. I’m so torn. I love sweetgreen, it was my food spot in college park and now in Baltimore. Today the amazing people at sweetgreen mistakenly made an extra salad when making my to go order and gave it to me free of charge, so generous! The people that work at the Baltimore location are sweet, personable, and amazing. I have nothing but great things to say about them! However, unfortunately when I got home I found a bug in my salad. It was a small white inch worm (1cm) which was coming out of my salad on the inside wall of the to go bowl. This has never happened before in all of my years attending sweetgreen and I’m aware it’s a risk with eating lettuce but it really really grossed me out. I have a video if you’d like me to send you to dive deeper into what specific contamination was present. I’m not sure if my stomach will let me go back. Hopefully you guys are able to fix this in the future somehow and continue to reward your employees and recognize how amazing they are. Thanks!

Awesome App Awsomer Food. Love the app, more restaurants should take note of Sweet Greens interface and use it. I absolutely love that you can identify your allergies on your profile and they indicate what salads or bowls contain an ingredient you’re allergic to. I’m allergic to tree nuts and often places only highlight dairy or peanut allergies so I appreciate the inclusion. Additionally, I like that they have the option after you order to request a ride share or get directions! The tracking of your order is also nice and it’s been accurate thus far. So easy to place my order, walk in the front, grab my food, and go!

Nice app, horrible delivery service. Overall I’ve had a great experience placing my order in the app. I like the way you can easily make modifications and the overall UX is easy to use and well designed. My qualms are truly with their delivery part of the app/service. The estimates are never accurate, and it’s a part of the experience that needs to be improved for app users. I’ve tried ordering in 3 different cities and I have never once received my order within 45 mins of the estimated delivery time. I’ve complained before and they gave me some credit but it’s a really unfortunate downside of using the app.

Great food, great app, but can’t place order. It’s been more than once that I create an order and all is fine except for the fact that I receive an error message when I try to place an order and choose the delivery time. Everything else is great but this one thing blocks me to actually place the order. The first time it happened I thought it was due to app update or some other glitch and it took me the total of 40 minutes to place an order. A week later i ended up ordering from a completely different restaurant since it wouldn’t unblock and the next day I spent another 40 minutes playing with desktop version and mobile version and had issues on both until it magically fixed itself and I could finally order from mobile app. It just way too complicated and you guys are definitely loosing business

The limitation of 3 modifications can be frustrating. When you order one of their salads and have modifications, it is limited to 3 and then thereafter you cannot make any more changes. If that is to reduce the “complexity” for the staff I guess that makes sense, but the limit of 3 should not be applied to the number of dressings you can get. Once you make 3 modifications to the items in the salad you can no longer order extra dressing. And in my humble opinion 1 dressing per salad is almost never enough and I need to order at least 2 sides of dressing per salad. So that really reduces the flexibility you have to change items in the salad. I’m vegetarian so I always have at least one modification taken up by swapping out the chicken or other meat for tofu.

Good food garbage app. - SLOWWWW. Oh my god it’s so slow! I spend 75% of my time in this app staring at the 3 loading dots. Any time you click basically anything! This applies to the user interface in general too. I want to click two buttons and have my lunch arrive like I do on DoorDash. Instead buttons are small and in the wrong places and you have to click a million of them. - the “Kustomer” powered chat support is so bad. It ends chats randomly. Instead of replying to your message inside the same chat window, it will spawn a separate conversation you can’t even see unless you happen to go backwards. The prefilled response option buttons for you to choose from don’t load in the chat window sometimes. So frustrating. Such a waste of time. - if you have DashPass, SweetPass has zero value proposition compared to just ordering on DoorDash. Side note, the selection options are limited or buggy on DoorDash which makes it so you have to use this app to select multiple dressings for example sometimes. Also, the SweetPass benefit has to be clicked every time to be redeemed. - having to constantly select “delivery” and my location is a pain and constantly re entering your address is just asking for a typo - reordering is not 1 click. Things like utensils and delivery instructions don’t save. - no Apple Pay or PayPal Really disappointing. It feels like they’re not trying. A huge missed opportunity.

MF. My family goes to sweet green for take out so often I think we are gold members. We love the product/ concept but 2 issues I have experienced lately , 50% of our pick up orders have an error, (usually missing bread and dressing) even when we requested it on the online system. Other issue is that many times certain ingredients are missing, for the price I would think that this would not happen that often. A plus is the online system does allow for substitute items.

Worst app can’t order food. This is literally the worst food app ever. The home screen only had the option to let you order things before and the drop down menu bar doesn’t even have an option for food menu. I’ve pressed every single button on this app and no where does it take you to the place where you can actually look at the menu and pick something to order and adjust it. It must be severely broken because I have somehow ordered before but remember having this issue too. Also they updated it to “making ordering your favorites easier” and by that they mean you can only order something you’ve ordered before. AND if you do, you can’t see what was actually in that order besides the name OR edit it. THEN when I try to add this random bowl that I don’t even know what is in it it just says OOPS something went wrong. I’ve tried updating. Also I’m not an idiot I know how to use other apps and I’ve ordered food before.

Amazing Food BUT... customer service is ehh. The dynamics of how this company can make food so fast, this healthy, this amazing, is absolutely serene; and I would love to keep coming to this restaurant. But, if you are having troubles with your order (pickup or delivery), there is absolutely no call service line that would allow access to calling the Sweetgreen store that you ordered your food from. Not being able to call the store to update my address, resulted in me having to go over to the store physically while the order was supposed to be delivery. My order would have been delivered to the wrong location if I had not. This lack of in store customer service is a strong turn off, no matter how good the food is.

They lied about a promotion. When I opened this app I got a message that said there was a $5 credit for all orders in the Atlanta area until tomorrow 4/26 When I placed my order there was no credit. I contacted support and chatted with someone via text message who lied to me about the promotion and acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about. Then I asked to speak to a manager and refund my order. The person refused to escalate it to a manager. The person then cancelled my order, not refund which is me getting my order and getting it refunded. I had to reorder. My order was cancelled again after waiting another hour for my meal. I emailed support this time and attached a screenshot of the text message where the person from support lied to me about having knowledge of the $5 promotion. I am awaiting a response. If this review is still up, then they ignored my email as well. Sweet green customer service is the worst I have ever seen and blatantly lying about promotions, bait and switch, is illegal and they need to be investigated.

Terrible pick up experience. I have been using this app for a couple of weeks for occasional lunch orders. Conclusion: the pick up experience is a deal breaker. Both their Bryant Park and Grand Central locations are the victims of their own success. It starts with online orders. Every day the app says one or more ingredients of the bowls I want to order are missing. Pickup windows are only available every 15 mins. If you pick 12:30, for example, you will find yourself at 12:30 in the shop with another 50 12:30 customers plus all the 12:15 customers who whose orders they botched. It’s so full that you can’t even reach the pick up shelf. Everyone touches every bowl they can get their hand on to check if their name is on it. Completely overwhelmed staff have no clue how to handle the situation. Dozens of customers want to talk to 2 staff about the whereabouts of their orders. Meanwhile dozens of orders pile up on the counter because there is no way to put them on the pick up shelf. Angry delivery drivers shout at staff because they can’t find the orders they were supposed to deliver half an hour ago. It’s a mystery to me why sweetgreen is so popular when the execution is so ridiculously poor.

not so sweet, poor sweet greens!. I wish I could pay to market this and get this vital. Order for sweet greens and expect a few ingredients missing, always! I was very happy with SG prior COVID when I ordered from the NYC branch. But from the time I have started ordering from the Jersey branch they swore to not deliver me the the food I ordered. Spilling bowls in COVID times, items missing and sometimes my warm bowl came without rice itself. Definitely, I shouldn’t have ordered from them at all after the first time they goofed up! Had they not lured me with minor credits for each time. My message - stop making Instagram filters, instead put some effort in quality check and delivering the right food for the money you charge.

Many flaws & no customer service. I think my biggest complaint is that you can’t adjust or cancel an order. I understand that the company doesn’t want people to adjust or cancel once a salad is made, but there should be a window, like 10 minutes after ordering. I placed an order the night before pickup (15 hours in advance) and realized there was a mistake. I reached out to customer service twice and they were no help. I can’t go into the store to have the mistake fixed due to COVID, so I had to order an entirely new salad because the mistake meant that the person who got that salad wouldn’t eat it (realized there was an allergen). Also- ridiculous that you have to make an account to order online. I had to jump through hoops and then once I made my order, it was 30 mins before close and they wouldn’t accept it. There isn’t a warning that last orders are taken 30 mins before closing. Also- when making an account, I got 4 verification emails that don’t work. I started making my original order at 7:15, jumped through all the hoops, and then submitted it at 7:35 which I then found out was too late, so then I placed it for the next day. Customer service can not help you with mistakes in orders or cancellations. And don’t call because you won’t get to a person. Overall tedious and wouldn’t recommend.

Delivery system is bad. The food is good but the delivery system and tracking on the app are really awful. I’ve had multiple bad encounters with delays, my food being left outside my apartment building on the street for anyone to take, not answering my calls when an order says delivered and it hasn’t been. The app and customer service are not helpful at all. They are unable to resolve issues in real time. It’s very disappointing. I really enjoy sweetgreen and it used to be my go-to for healthy food when I could just pick it up myself, but I’m planning to no longer order from there as the delivery unreliability is not acceptable.

Reorder functionality doesn’t work well. I usually like the app and find it convenient to use. However, I tried using the reorder functionality for the first time today and reordered my most recent purchase. They got most of the order correctly in the reordered salad, but they said to remove goat cheese from the salad when the original one I based my reorder from had goat cheese! I just noticed this after I submitted the order and now sweetgreen won’t let me change the order. Worst of all, I’m still paying the same amount (paying regular price for harvest bowl even though I’m not getting the cheese, which is usually at least a dollar more to have cheese added to salads), so I’m paying for the goat cheese but not getting it due to sweet greens technical errors!

Just got much worse. I’m a loyal Sweetgreen app user and have ordered scores of salads over the last year. Today I opened the app to find the whole visual identity changed in such a way that it’s MUCH harder to use. Harder to see the ingredients in the photos, a completely unnecessary addition of beige tones to replace white, new serif fonts added purely for style vs functionality. Major downgrade. One separate issue I’ve had with both versions of the app: if a store is out of certain ingredients and I need to replace them, I often can’t because of a “too many modifications “ issue, making it impossible to use the reorder function. Many times I’ve just ordered from someone else that day rather than recreate the salad from the ground up.

Unable to make any adjustments to your order. I have some intolerance to high fiber foods so at my local sweetgreen I usually order the Shroomami with extra rice, less Kale and an extra piece of bread. In the app you are completely unable to make any modifications like that to your order. It is very strict that you cannot have two of the same base or add any sort of comments. It’s strange to me because if you order through DoorDash they have a comments section but the sweetgreen app does not. I’m sure this is to streamline online orders but it’s a little silly to me that if I build a custom bowl I can barely customize. I got very excited my office got an outpost but I’ve literally only used it once because of the lack of option to edit.

Underwhelmed in Berkeley. I walked up to the window to order a salad and asked for a menu. I was given a card and told the menu was online. I held my phone’s camera over the card and informed that I would have to download an app. All the time I’m doing this I can see the menu and watch employees checking their phones. I download the app, look at the menu and gesture that I’m ready to order. Employee tells me that I have to order online. A line has formed behind me now. I attempt to order and encounter drop down menus for every possible combination and all the while my blood sugar’s dropping. After the 3rd menu asking what kind of seeds I want, I throw up my hands and walk away with my lunch break fading in the distance. Unbelievable. I actually have to give you a star to review this? 1 is too many.

The potential is there. Hello, I am a former Hummus Tahina superfan. I’ve never met anyone who had the same amount of passion for a salad as I had for the Hummus Tahina. Since the release of hot plates and the hummus Tahina has gone away, I have felt empty inside. It feels like my dog has passed away, and now I’m just staring at a pet that looks similar, but just doesn’t feel the same. I know it’s dramatic, but I can’t brush this feeling off. Please I beg of you, at least make falafel and hummus once again so I can make the Hummus Tahina-oh how I miss you- once again. Honestly I feel like hummus and falafel are the two most sophisticated and cultured items on the menu. Even if they aren’t popular with average folk which is most of your customer base, the daring ones who are willing to experiment and discover new taste combinations surely feel unwanted right now.

Issue with rewards program. Beware of ordering (and paying) for pickup online - amounts spent on these purchases are not applied towards the progress of my rewards. Reached out to customer service twice - acknowledged my transactions but did not amend the situation (update my status).

Not for non-American credit card holders. I was excited to try Sweetgreen’s app when I travelled to NY a couple of months ago and LA two weeks ago but it doesn’t accept other zip codes than American ones unfortunately. So wasn’t able to register my Credit Card nor use the app

Doesn’t accept non-American credit cards. I can’t submit my Canadian postal code, so it won’t accept my credit card and therefore I can’t use the app. This needs to be fixed. People travel!

Canadian Visa doesn’t work. I tried adding my Canadian Visa from Scotiabank. I couldn’t because I don’t have a zip code. I have a Canadian postal code. Bummer. I like tour salads but can’t pay.

SG. I order from here almost everyday. For lunch, ordering through the app makes your life a lot easier so you can avoid the massive line that starts around 12. Food is always fresh & workers are nice, but some times I find the serving sizes to be inconsistent. A couple times I ordered the same salad on different days, and they loaded up the salad (which is great), but some days I felt like I got the crumbs of whatever was left for those ingredients before the next batch came out (aka not a lot/bowl wasn’t filled).

Ordering is non intuitive. I’m a huge fan of sweetgreen salad and love the order ahead feature but it’s so non-intuitive. I’m always confused by the navigation that requires you to choose an outlet first. Since I have used the app so many times - and it’s mostly the same salad (harvest bowl with a few changes) - I have learnt how to not waste time but I don’t know why the app doesn’t follow the ordering UX common to a gazillion food ordering apps.

Love SG, dislike the app. SG is my favorite healthy food brand out there. The delivery options of this app just make the ordering experience horrible. There needs to be an option to add a location via drop pin and not just by typing an address. On campus, there are numerous streets that don’t exist on Google maps, hence why I can never put the exact location of my building. When ordering delivery, one needs to be able to see the drivers location more accurate and needs to see the license plate or at least car make and model of the delivery guy. Otherwise it’s a pointless cat and mouse game. Other than that the app is pretty good.

Needs finer chopping but plus for organic and great flavors. I really love that Sweetgreen uses organic ingredients. This is a HUGE plus and the main reason I choose to buy their bowls and salads. Amazing flavors and many vegan options. I do really wish they would chop their vegetables are bit more finely. Most of the time you get massive chunks of raw vegetables that are hard to chew such as beetroot and red cabbage. Don’t get me wrong, I love it raw, but it’s difficult to chew such big pieces. Finer cutting and this place would be a 5 star!

Shocked by the good reviews. This app literally NEVER works and I would know bc I am a frequent customer. It never lets me apply my rewards to orders on the app, but the in-store workers always apply it for me in person bc they say they hear from people the app never works. BUT now I can't even access my account (message: error retrieving your account data, try again later) to show the people working that I have valid rewards to use. I was never offered a deal or anything on my birthday. Honestly the whole thing is so frustrating bc I'm a good customer.

Easiest healthy dinner. LOVE being able to assemble my own salad via the custom option. A perfectly healthy, delicious dinner (calorie count included - yay) without having to cook. BUT: SG should try to do what it can to stop running out of popular items like blackened chicken thighs. Sometimes the app won’t let me order them. Really frustrating because that’s the only chicken I like. Also, there used to be wonderful shrimp as an option. Wish SG would bring that back.

Delivery Feature Eliminated. I used to love this app! I work from home, and when my days are really busy I used to rely on the delivery feature to source a healthy lunch. As of 2021, delivery is no longer offered in my area (for reference, I live close to downtown Chicago). I do not live close enough (within walking distance/public transit) to a Sweetgreen location to pick it up on my lunch break. This is such a disappointing update, because the food is great and the delivery service was so fast (and more affordable than Grubhub and Uber Eats). Will probably delete the app until this is resolved, since I no longer have a use for it.

App costs you money. Bad service. You order in advance, it’s not ready. It’s past your pickup window, it’s still not ready. But they make you wait outside as walk-up customers show up after you, get served immediately and then leave with their order. Then you get your food after it’s been sitting for a couple minutes. Maybe they bring it maybe you have to get it yourself. You take your food to go and you realize that the portion they gave you is pathetic. Why waste your time and money? Just order when you are at the store and make sure they give you as much grain/salad as you like. Fast and better bang for your buck. Once they get your money via app preorder, they already have you and can treat you however they want without immediate consequence. Deleting this app. Sweetgreen I’ll be eating your delicious salads without this useless piece of technology. But mad respect to the app developers and app designers—app itself is fine.

Disruptive push notifications to review experience. I love Sweetgreen and am a big fan of their food and the whole in-store experience. However, after every pick-up order I receive an incredibly annoying push notifications to review the experience every time I pick up an order. I’ve reached out to technical support and was basically told that I can either enable all notifications (which I need to know when my order is ready) or disable all notifications. It’s an extra an completely unnecessary distraction that should be easily eliminated.

Dropping quality and annoying app. App does not remember the locations you have picked up from. Just the most recent. The UI to pick the location is very slow. I need to switch between two locations. Always makes you select the sweet pass reward. Select it by default. Food has dropped in quality. Not sure if they are slowly reducing quality to become McDonald’s or are just bad at making food consistently. I have noticed that dressings now seem to be made the day before and don’t taste the same. The food itself has unusually taste. Not sure if’s not washed correctly or some kind of growth has started.

The amount of times I’ve waited over an hour to find out my order isn’t being delivered. Numerous times my order will get stuck in the searching for courier stage. I’ll wait over an hour from when I placed my order to find out there is no courier to deliver it. Sweetgreen PLEASE confirm there is a courier BEFORE you accept someone’s order. Additionally, there is no customer service like that you can speak to. They only text and it takes forever to respond, so you end up in limbo having no idea if your food will ever arrive and can’t make alternative food arrangements. Please implement better customer service.

Love the new app but can I get the additional salad dressing as an option. New app makes it simple to order a salad and save it to your favorites especially if you’re like me with different allergies you can customize your salad so that there aren’t any of those things that will make you need an EpiPen but when it comes down to the adding salad dressing why can't I just pay additional for more green goddess or balsamic? would love to do that thanks!

One glaring issue. I actually like this app for the functionality around looking at the menu and ordering for pick up. However, the challenges never log when I’ve completed a challenge even when I’ve opted in and ordered the correct item. Every time, I have to email support to get the reward instead. Support keeps telling me to update to the latest version but I’m already on the latest version. If they ever fix this issue and I can stop contacting support, I’ll up this rating because I like everything else about this app.

HealthKit is fantastic feature!. I never review apps but I think the HealthKit feature has oftentimes made me choose sweetgreen over the other lunch spots near my job. SG and Panera are the two only apps that I am aware of that integrate with HealthKit. It’s so convenient and I love that the sweetgreen app offers it! I also think their app is very good since I’ve never had any issues with my order. I wish SG did allow the customer to request their salad to be mixed in since the mobile order salads only offer dressing on the side.

Needs some additions like cancel and change order. The app is well made overall but it’s missing some serious things like cancel/modify. These are like the basics of UI/App design. I get that they don’t want people canceling after the salad is made but within a short period of the initial order. Like a 5 minute window in case you made a mistake or a double order. Additionally, the ability to modify the order. Again, within a short window to let us make changes in case we made a mistake. Oh, and the option to have your salad tossed???? Joking aside, who the hell doesn’t want their salad tossed as you have to do it yourself when you get home... You should give us a discount for doing the work. Finally, calling the location directly doesn’t let you talk to a human to make a change so you have to go in to make the change. P.S. Grubhub and Ubereats let you modify your order and contact the location. Why is this not possible?

No Apple Pay?. This app seemed worth downloading to save time on pickups, but they ask for so much personal info to prepare salads. I’d feel a lot more comfortable if I could log in using Apple to obscure my email and pay using Apple Pay to obscure my card details. I’m stunned that they don’t take Apple Pay in their iOS app and not really willing to use the app without Apple Pay support. I’d even be down to pay at the register and just have them prepare the salad ahead of time, since the register takes Apple Pay.

Worst app. This app is so clunky, buggy, and overall a terrible way to order food. I can’t believe this company calls themselves a tech company when they can’t even get their ordering system correctly. I was logged out of this app for some reason and now I can’t even get back into my account. What is worse is that if you want to order something, YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN ACCOUNT. You can’t just “Continue as guest” like you can for ANY other retailer. How am I suppose to order your food if you can’t even let me in my account? There is no real way to get in contact with anyone about this flaw. Sure I can go into the store, but then what is the point of having this app?

There is ALWAYS an issue with our order. Anytime we order from here, either the carrier can’t pick up our food or they get the order wrong or it takes extremely long between the time your order is made and the time the carrier picks it up. It is now a rule in our house NOT to order from this company. You’re losing business over it. How hard it is to connect to a carrier in Philadelphia. Honestly, you are telling me there are no drivers and giving me a refund. But when you cancel my order after it was a SCHEDULED DELIVERY, and I order new food on Uber eats, it’s at my house within a half hour of ordering. THERE ARE CARRIERS EVERYWHERE IN PHILADELPHIA THERES NO REASON YOU CANT MAKE AN ON TIME DELIVERY!

My favorite salad spot. I can’t get enough. I love their list of ingredients and the combos I can create. I was so happy when one opened up in my area. Plus, you can’t beat the app. It’s so easy to order, pick it up at your preferred time and it’s ALWAYS ready when they say it will be. And the app remembers what you ordered last so it’s really just a push of a couple of buttons and you’re eating a delicious, healthy salad. What’s not to love?

Never again. Downloaded the app for pickup since I wanted to try Sweetgreen. Store clearly does not have a mechanism to turn off app ordering when they are overwhelmed or properly queue orders. Waited 30 minutes past the time it was expected to be ready. A massive swarm of delivery drivers were on the hook trying to get orders that were supposed to be ready. Literally saw delivery drivers get ticketed for being in the 30 minute zone too long while I was there. I tried to cancel my order and it wouldn’t let me because “it was already in progress”. Tried to talk to someone in the store and couldn’t even get eye contact. Left. A full 90 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready I finally got a push notification. Obviously did not go back but still can’t get a refund. It is apparent that employees do not have enough control to stop orders when they fall behind. There is also a flaw in the ordering system because clearly DoorDash and app timing estimates were not being affected by the massive backlog.

Great food, terrible app. You are better off going into the store and ordering than waiting for delivery or online order pickup. There is a huge disconnect between the estimated time they show before the order is placed and what the eta is after. I placed an order at 11am today and I still don’t have the order at 1:30pm. Unfortunately this happens just about every time. They definitely take the convenience out of online ordering.

App bug removes dressing every time I order. This has been happening in the app for about 2 months now, so curious if it’s happening to other users. I select a salad and pick-up time, then at the final submit order screen, the dressing has been removed. I then have to go back remove the salad from my bag, re-input it, re-select a time and the dressing is back. I am usually ordering 2 different salads at the same time and the dressing glitch always happens on both, so it’s not a supply issue. I’ve been inputting my order twice each time to get it to go through for the last 2+ months. Today for the first time this workaround is no longer working.

Disappointed. I ordered my salad and when I got there it was no where to be found. I had to wait a bit before they had another one ready to go. Disappointed in the quantity of lettuce they put in the salads. Adding more greens will not break the bank and ultimately make it a better experience for all.

Terrible delivery & customer service. This review is solely for the process of ordering through this app (which I assume is the #1 consumer use case for the app). I’ve had multiple issues with the delivery not being fulfilled, without any explanation or proactive messaging from Sweetgreen. I would wait 60-90 min for an order that never arrived. Their customer support system is non-existent — there is no phone number or in-app messaging, only a generic email that replies maybe once in every 3 days if you’re lucky. Avoid using this app as this is the absolute worst food delivery system.

Best Food App There Is. I’ve used Chipotle’s and other restaurants’ apps and this is by far the easiest to use and best interface. Not to mention it is similar in price to get a salad delivered and the food is absolutely amazing!! I do have two suggestions: (I) allow the user to add more than two bases and (ii) allow for the use of Apple Pay at checkout. Thanks :)!!!

Plus, Minus, Interesting with the App. For several years, I’ve gone to Sweetgreens in downtown Boston almost every week to get my weekly Sweetgreen salad, either Fish Taco or Shroomami. Because of an employee (Wendy) at the Back Bay location, I finally downloaded this app. Plus: The aesthetic The challenges Easy to Use Minus: It would be delightful to see the story of how Sweetgreens started and why within the app. Interesting: What if they upgraded the gamified experience of the app: have a colorful bar with points you can see to reach to get free salads, answer questions about the salads to make it more engaging and interesting, have a Willy Wonka contest with a fascinating prize if you use the app, etc. -Chris

Still has a bug , cannot change your order when adding from ordering history. I usually order my custom salad from my order history. Easy one tap quick order and done. BUT if you want to add another salad to that order you cannot. It tells you that there’s already an order in the cart and you can only start a new order deleting the cart contents. Why can you just add to cart your previous order and keep shopping for more salads? If you want to see a good food app UI check out the Chipotle app. Straight forward UI.

Love both App as wells as Instore experience. I used to hate salad but Sweetgreen changed what salad means to me. Not to mention the healthy and organic ingredients. I waited to give five star for app till I have tried the app multiple times. And now I have concluded both gives amazing final product. I still have slight preference for in-store as I love the smell , sound and interactive experience with a human being.

One word: IMPECCABLE!!. The food AND customer service was impeccable! Definitely a 10 out of 10. I came across this gem on google when searching for healthier food choices. The photos and descriptions on their website were so vibrant and detailed I had to try it. I loved the Buffalo chicken salad so much I revisited them TWICE in 1 week. Needless to say, if you haven’t eaten here yet you should definitely give it try. They also deliver and their fees for delivery are very reasonable. Without a doubt, I’ll be sure to return to try another dish!

App is great but ingredient avail could improve. The app is intuitive and easy to use, and makes it very convenient to pick up / walk out with your order. The only reason it’s not a 5 rating is the inconsistency with ingredient availability. Many times as I order in the morning, some of the key ingredients I’d like to add are grayed out and unavailable; however when picking up the order the ingredients are available for walk in customers. Seems like a real time ingredient inventory issue, which if corrected, would make it a 5 star rating for me.

Great app. Easy to order & make modifications to your order. This is one of the better food ordering apps out. It’s easy to order and make modifications to your order as you can visually see what food items you are keeping and what food items you are removing. My order has always been ready on time and I have been able to skip right past long lines saving tons of time. Highly recommended.

Near perfect. I’ve always been a huge fan of Sweetgreen! The app is awesome and the food is always delicious. I do wish there was a feature to include food allergies though. As someone that has a severe food allergy- I’ve had some unfortunate reactions to a few seasonal salad dressings. This does limit what I eat as I’m now hesitant to try dressings that I don’t know and can’t ask about through the app! Otherwise, it’s great!

No more mixed dressing option 👎. The latest version of the Sweetgreen app doesn’t let you ask for dressing to be mixed in, as in previous versions. As a salad consumer and busy working professional, sometimes I gotta grab lunch - and fast. I’m a woman “trying to do it all” and I don’t have time to mix my own salad while trying to break glass ceilings. Grabbing a salad quickly knowing that the dressing would be mixed in saves me time and let’s me get to my next Big Business meeting on time and with a healthy lunch. Please Sweetgreen, bring this option back!d

App AND website broken. Trying to order delivery previously worked - now it says “something went wrong” everytime I try to order both on the website AND app! The system is definitely broken - and unfortunately reached out to customer support for help but clearly new update didn’t help. Abandoning this app for UberEats 🤷‍♀️

Sweetgreen+ Reward. When in the check out process, it looks like the reward is already chosen because it’s a different color (dark green) compared to the other offers (light green?). When choosing, the only difference is that there’s a thin neon border around it. Changing the color of the reward in the checkout process to match the others, would look not so confusing for us; letting us easily compare it to the other offers

Enjoy using the Application. I like being able to see the selection of salad or bowls in my area or that are only available online. Always quick service and great quality. I like trying a new salad or bowl every day to change my food palette and I can truly say I have not been disappointed. Everyone must try Sweetgreen. I wish I had one closer to my home!!

Glitchy app. The idea of the app is great, but it’s difficult to switch between stores. Once you switch, if you change the page it brings you back to the old store. It also sometimes says that products that are actually available aren’t available anymore. If they change these two things I think it would be a great app. I also love the new addition of being able to add more of one ingredient to a salad.

Limited customization and abilities. You are very limited on modifications you can make to salads. It’s frustrating because what they’re happy to make what you want in person at the store, but not on the app. Other chains with apps let you do whatever you want (Chipotle for example) but Sweetgreen is limited. If you go the full custom route then they charge you a great deal more for the same exact ingredients in a regular menu item. More importantly-you CANNOT specify portion size on ingredients. Why?! I can in person or on other restaurant apps. If I want extra rice, chicken, etc let me choose that. Overall, not a great app.

Decent. Decent in that it has the core functionality that it needs. A couple issues for me: #1 if I’m using this app, I’m in a rush. The epic animation they have for adding an ingredient to a salad takes forever. When I’m between meetings, I want to add ingredients as fast as I’m typing this review. Pausing per ingredient for a 0.5s animation is just frustrating. #2 if trying to reorder a previous order, and there is some issue (like the location you chose has a missing ingredient) you should be able to modify the order. Unfortunately, you have to reconstitute it from the ground up. #3 I would like to favorite my ‘create your own’ salads. Can’t seem to. Favoriting is more valuable for ‘create your own’ than for anything else on the menu, so this is a significant miss. Keep up the good work team. Hope to see more improvements in the future.

Poor option and customizable selection. I rarely leave reviews, but this app is beyond sad, I reach the limit of order items allowed to be swapped without even being able to swap and replace basic items. I cannot add extra items either. I have even tried to go the special custom salad route and it tells me I reached my limit. Why would I want to order from a place where I can’t get exactly what I want or usually get in person? I’ve attempted ordering more than once only to leave the app and buy food elsewhere because I can’t make a salad I really want. Remove the swap limits and allow people to get why they want!!

Salads are great but app is glitchy. The app always makes ordering a lot harder than it needs to be. Here’s the most common glitch, in the “place order” screen there will be no time listed under the scheduled delivery time, if you click place order it will tell you to select a time, but when you click the time drop-down it’s just a bunch of blank spaces with no text and if you select any of the blank spaces it says “your order is scheduled for a future date”. Please fix your app SweetGreen, I just want a salad!

Do they read it?. I’ve ordered multiple deliveries through this app while getting over Covid. Each time I select “Leave at my door,” and I add a message explaining that I have a Covid. And still, the delivery drivers call me and won’t leave until I come outside. I’m trying to responsibly distance myself, but it appears that my delivery preferences and messages don’t get read by the delivery drivers. Also, there’s no option on the app to get dressing tossed instead of on the side.

So disappointed. I’m so disappointed by Sweetgreen. I used to be Sweetgreen’s biggest fan but I’m so frustrated. My salad took 2.5 hours to arrive, even when the expected delivery when I received my confirmation email was an hour less than this. Once I placed my order the ETA gets extended much longer. The usual wait is an hour, which I can tolerate, but I don’t appreciate being told the wait will be an hour and a half and then extend it once I confirm to 2.5 hours. My food also sits waiting for the courier for about an hour. I give up ordering delivery with the app, just not worth the wait.

Terrible notification settings. The food is good (if a little expensive) but they will spam you with promotional notifications, with no way to turn them off in the app, you can only turn off ALL notifications in the iPhone settings. Which means if you don’t want constant useless offer notifications, you won’t get updated on your order status. I had someone swipe my order from the delivery outpost because I had notifications turned off (to stop getting interrupted during my work day) and it was delivered an hour before the expected window. Other reviews pointed this out (and that it violates Apple’s App Store terms) at least A YEAR AGO and the developers responded that they “hoped to roll this out soon” but have done nothing, despite this being an extremely straightforward fix. I want to like this place, but they’re making it pretty annoying to use it effectively to order their food without getting spammed with discount offers I can’t use.

Love this place. The healthiest, fast casual eats that you can ever munch on! The food and quality is always fresh and the variety of salads and meals are the best. Use the app it makes the ordering a lot easier, plus there are many incentives and rewards offered. Personally speaking, I think I use the app more than going into the store to order directly because it’s just that easy. Great job, Sweet Green! I am a fan.

A joke. The website doesn’t work when it comes to ordering online of course to download their app. You download the app but it doesn’t work. You try on doordash only 1/3 of items are available then you attempt yelp and nothing is available on there. Sweet greens get your **** together. ALSO apparently you’re only one of EACH dressing. So if you have an allergy as I do and I can only have a certain dressing I’m out of luck I can only have that one even though it may not be enough. Never in my life have I heard of such strict rules when you’re a paying customer PAYING FOR A PRODUCT. Wow

User friendly Appt. Your appt is not user friendly. It’s hard to get to just the menu items and order from the menu. It bring me always to my favorite items & orders. There are times I would like to try new items off the menu selections, instead of just ordering from your favorite items. Please give other options for ordering new items. I JUST LOVE YOUR CONCEPT .

Missing key functionality. This app is missing the functionality to order delivery for custom salads from my favorites. Also, you can't change from pickup to delivery in a current order. This has hindered me multiple times from successful creating / submitting an order and ultimately leaving me with a bad user experience, wasted time, and giving up to order from somewhere else. I'm rating this a 2 star only because a customer service representative acknowledged my feedback. I love Sweetgreen salads, but hope they can improve this app to keep my business.

Great Customer Service. Yes, there are times when you’ll receive an incorrect order - as all food delivery/alternative third party apps inevitably mess up - however, the SG Team is great about refunding your incorrect order/providing credit for future orders! Customer service is responsive and easily reachable via text. I now strictly order through SG App! Big fan. Bigger fan of harvest bowl.

Out of stock modification is inherited in reorder. I ordered a chimichurri salad which had to be modified to not include kale. Then when I reorder this salad, I get a notification that the store is again out of kale, even though the store is in fact no longer out of kale, and I can order a salad through the menu with kale. So reorder icons are useless once there is an out of stock notification. I would like to reorder the chimichurri without crispy rice and with tofu, and have it with kale if kale is available
