Fun way to complete tasks. I like writing my tasks on post it notes and crossing it off when I’m done. And I still do that, but I also use this app because it makes crossing those tasks off more fun. We get along so well and I love leveling up.

Always entertaining, if you’re REALLY bored.... I couldn’t wait to try the 4-pack of Carrot apps! Unfortunately, I wasn’t really feeling like this one in particular, hit the mark. Although a weather App is a Weather App, I was surprisingly impressed with carrot Weather. If you get into the Settings and make a few tweaks, and then push ahead to get some Rewards, these Carrot Apps ultimately had me looking forward to using one again. My favorite has to be the task listing that you can popular and then cross off when you’ve completed it. The more you complete, the more rewards. Which then ups your Player Level, which in turn allows you an ability that you couldn’t do up till then. Long story, short, I expected something a bit better, BUT as the days progress and the rewards PILE UP, that’s fun. Theirs one thing that does bother me a lot, there are about 5 different voices to choose from, and there EXCEPTIONALLY BAD. And I’d have to purchase one of their other voices if I wanted to make any changes. Plus, I don’t even get a preview of the voices. The Carrot 4-pack was on sale when I made my purchase, but I do believe that I’d buy it again, as long as it was no more than $5. The Carrot Weather App is the BEST weather App I’ve ever used. The Graphics are wonderful and the customization available to you is fantastic. I hope this helps if you’re trying to decide on the purchase. Go ahead and buy it...you’ll like it!

Best to-do list ever!. I get very busy and tend to get overwhelmed, and when that happens I don’t accomplish much at all. This app is absolutely amazing! It’s easy to add things, and I keep adding to it all day long as more tasks come to mind. Then, whenever I reach a point where I’m tired and can’t think what to do next, I scroll through and find something that I actually want to do ... or, at least something that is not too terribly difficult... And then I do it because I look forward to finding out what CARROT will say or do next! Thank you for making my never ending to-do list so much more enjoyable ... AND productive!!!

I keep coming back to this app. But then I wind up leaving it again. It’s fun and engaging. I routinely wipe out my progress so I can feel the joy of leveling up. It’s basic. No categories. No sorting. But if your life is simple like mine (Read: boring), then it gets the job done.

Worth it. It’s sarcasm is excellent! For the system it is I understand there needs to be some reward, there’s some essential features that are locked that shouldn’t like notification reminders should be unlocked by default or lower on the unlocking system. Other than that I give it 5 stars as long as you actually check in and use it

Effective and Gratifying. Making me laugh when she’s angry, and making me actually feel good about myself when I complete tasks. I really like how this to do list app is different from all others. It’s not that it’s overly simple...it’s that it’s training you to be consistent and reliable...and there’s a lot of thought and psychology put into that to do it right. You level up, gaining confidence and unlocking more and more complex (relatively) options until it revivals other apps that come with everything right away. CARROT is personal. The simplicity at the beginning helps those of us who don’t get around to things BECAUSE we get overwhelmed and BECAUSE other apps and lists can feel too complex. Starting on an easy level and gradually boosting your confidence until you are comfortable enough with the app, and before you know it , you’re actually tackling your goals. For real. And I’ve tried everything. I have over focused adult ADD, and while I have good intentions and can be highly motivated to begin with, I lose focus quickly. Like with this review. Done. Also I echo what LOLAJEFF just said.

Kind of fun. I procrastinate. I do stuff to see what response I get when I take them off the list. And when I put off doing stuff for 17 hours, it gave me attitude, which made me laugh. So it has helped some. Remains to be seen what happens on a stretch of hard- core procrastination, lol!

Very helpful to be productive!. I love this app! My boyfriend introduced me to it and I was skeptical at first if it would really be helpful. I have tried so many things to try to be productive. This app is the only thing that has truly helped me be consistent with getting tasks done. Carrot is so funny, and sassy! It is a great mix of her positively rewarding you when you do tasks within a certain time and also getting upset when you haven’t done anything in a while. It’s so weird, for the first time in a long time I’m actually excited to get stuff done! This app is great, 5 stars all around and I highly recommend it, especially if you are someone who struggles to get stuff done consistently or in a timely manner or just in general. I hope to be able to try the other Carrot apps too!

Standard features locked behind level system. I love the Carrot weather app. I’ve spent far to long reloading locations to see what hilarious things it’ll say next. So when looking for a to do list this seemed a no brainer! However not being able to set repeatable todos (for example go for a run every other day) and not being able to set times / notifications for todos makes it near useless for me. What better way to encourage me to get out and get stuff done than a delightfully offensive AI calling me a worthless meatbag? Every other todo app I’ve messed with has these simple features but sadly no evil AI. I can however still poke it in the eye. So that certainly goes in the win category. Edit: while I stick to what I said these features apparently are unlocked at higher levels.(18 and 28) But I since I can’t really use the app with out them I guess I’ll just sit here and farm tasks for a few hours ? This seems like a bad design choice. These should at the very least be unlocked at early levels. 2-5 maybe.

Too fun for words. This app is the first to do list program I’e ever enjoyed using. Carrot’s rewards and admonitions are funny, and I love being able to earn rewards and new features. If you don’t take yourself too seriously, really want to keep track of what you have to do, and feel great when you‘re completed a task, I suggest you give Carrot a try. 💜🥕&🐈

Makes you want to do a todo list. Simple design, psychopathic AI that gets angry if you have been too busy all day to make up things to do so you can complete them. Actually makes it a bit more fun to check your list. Just wish there were more phrases to interact with Carrot rather than just “Carrot I’m Bored”. Although getting prepared for the apocalypse was a good suggestion.

If you like sarcasm and wit .... I’ve been using carrot apps for a while and I would have to say that this one (and the alarm) are awesome. Simple to use, the bot is awesomely sarcastic and actually gives a person an incentive to be productive because she gets “mad” and start being very snarky. 5 stars!

CARROT tell me a joke. If you enjoy a sarcastic wit and need a homicidal taskmaster, you this app. In fact, just get the whole CARROT bundle. You’ll thank me. There are no bugs because this is a artificial super intelligence you are working with. The level ups and rewards are fun and not to be forgiving is CARROT’s fantastic sense of humour.

I really like this app.. I think it’s the only app program I have stuck to - and I have purchased them all, I am sure!! Lots of the do categorizing, have nice themes, check off boxes... but I just get bored with them. I want a to do app. I don’t need it to import recipes from the net or sent a missile to the moon. I need a quick way to add things I am bound to forget. After a few levels you can move the items around and batch all calls together, all shopping, all conversation with you best forever robot friend. CARROT⁵ is entertaining too. Who doesn’t need a little giggle with your to do’s? Or an angry CARROT³ when you procrastinate for two or three days? Highly recommended.

Great but some suggestions. I love the carrot apps. I was very happy when carrot weather let you choose what level of language as a setting. Carrot todo has a few quirks: - Carrot doesn't understand that you have to sleep and seems to count that time against you - No language setting, you can't get carrot to use more colorful language which would be motivating in the todo app and is awesome in the weather app - a widget would be great - completed items export - more unlock items such as themes - having to pay for options that are standard in other apps is rather tedious. I get you have to make money but its a but excessively employed. Otherwise great apps, pretty stable for the most part, good back compatibility for older ios versions

Funniest to do app, needs update for new devices.. I remember when this app first came out almost a decade ago. I loved poking and prodding Carrot, and fearing for my life with every tap. I saw the weather app last year and it brings me joy every day. So I thought, dang I should buy the todo app again! Only to be disappointed that it looks really bad on my XS. I get it, it’s an old app and it’s a wonder it still even runs! Hopefully with the renewed interest from other people using Carrot Weather, the devs will have a reason to spend some time updating this app too.

ADHD. I have rather bad ADHD, and as a side effect for my type I have a tendency to forget things such as tasks I need to do, before this I basically panicked myself into remembering things which meant I was constantly in a state of panic, now I can just write in the app tasks I need to do when I first think of them, and check the app whenever I draw a blank, and it's so easy to use and the unlock as you go is so nice so it keeps you interested, almost like the app get a new update feature the more you use it.

Great if you’ve got ADHD. I’ve struggled my whole life with ADHD and the associated symptoms. This app makes getting things down enough of a game to draw you in. Then once you get that mini dopamine hit from the first “reward” it’s much easier to keep going. It’s also great for helping you prioritize. As someone with ADD, I get easily sidetracked with other things that also need to be done, and wind up forgetting the things that need to be done first. Carrot helps me remember, oh yeah. I need to do the thing son the list first. I can add this thing to it. Such a great gamified app!

Best To Do List Ever. I love this to do list. I get things done and checked off my list because I can not wait to hear what she will say next. She is hilarious. Make sure and check out the other CARROT apps also!! The weather guy has an attitude and it makes me smile in the morning!! Even before coffee!! You will not regret getting all of the apps!! I haven’t!!

ADHD and awesome. Hey! I have been recently diagnosed with ADHD and this app has worked te best so far for me to get things done as long as I remember to look at it! I try to check in throughout the day and when I add new items I look for old ones I’ve already done and more I should do. It’s a hilarious app. One thing I wish would change is the ability to add categories instead of one list. I have a lot of “eventual” to-do items that I would like to put in a sub list.

So far, so GOOD. I have ADHD and I've struggled to find a to do app that works for me. So far, CARROT has kept me interested, stimulated and on track! It's bare bones when you get it, but the more you use it the faster you level up! One thing, it seems to take a while to get reminders, which has caused me to have to get creative! I use 4 apps...a programmable timer, an alarm that's hard to turn off, iCal and CARROT. The true test will be how long before I get bored...

She seems... kind of dead. I am very into CARROT. I've tried lots of other to-do apps, but none of them could motivate me like her. However, I do have some ideas that could make CARROT seem... even more alive (and more terrifying to anger): 1. Make her oculus sensor move! Make it adjust like a real camera, and adding blinks would give it an extra oomph! 2. I haven't made CARROT angry yet, but if her voice doesn't get deep and gravelly when she does, I'll be mildly disappointed. 3. Let her have random mood swings! You could be doing tasks perfectly, but she suddenly gets angry for no reason; that would be terrifying! I highly recommend this app to anyone who's tried everything expect for a sadistic robot.

Five-year snark update please!. Obviously Carrot to-do isn’t your biggest revenue stream… but for her die-hard fans, please do an update. The first thousand times she wanted my teeth for an art project, it was hilarious. Now Carrot desperately needs a refresh to maintain her overlord status.

Makes you work for it & worth it. I adore this so much! I got this app because I’m trying to be healthier & the Carrot Workout App & my lungs don’t get along well. I love this because you have to complete things to get access to the entire app/ what a normal to-do lost app would be. You have to use it for it to be useful for you!! I have recommended this to multiple people & it helps motivate me when I’m low on energy to complete things!! My main issue with this app is the colour scheme. I know you can buy the pink ocular lens and the mood ring look but blue and white is not soothing for me but if I’m doing well (completing tasks daily), then those are the colours I’m stuck with. Wish there was an “goth” look to buy, or something with darker colours. Even with that, I 1000% recommend this app

Wish List. Wish you could setup repeating activities or have a list of my most common tasks created for easy placement/replacement/scheduling. I'm using it for food and water. Kind of annoying retyping "drink water" everyday and for each time throughout the day. I like how the app makes eating healthy bad tasting food a game for me.

Makes your "to-do" lists fun.... Best to-do app ever! But Ya' def need a good sense of humor w this one!! I would think this app would help a kid having to do chores have a little more fun w them since this borders on a to-do list app turned game (I know I coulda' used something likes this as a kid.. Back in the 70's when phones were still attached to the wall lol!!) So Ik it Sounds crazy to say but she amuses me.... It turns boring old cores etc into a type of silly game...U should give this a try.. Esp if u have a good sense of humor! .. a few tips: Just don't make her mad! You earn points for every completed task and move into higher "levels" which can sometimes earn u a little surprise from her.... And lastly... Don't forget about your kitty kat!! Yup.. you get a pet cat u have to keep happy n fed (or else she'll b mean to it n u lose points.... Those cheats seem kinda silly - no surprise since the entire app is totally whacko ... But they come in handy sometimes n not super expensive....

I’m a todo list app junkie... I've tried many to-do lists and this one is the most fun for me because of how she/"Siri" interacts with you. It's not really Siri, but sounds like the one you got in older versions of iOS... and I like that. I still use other to-do lists: "Due" for repetitive reminders, and "Omni Focus" for big projects. But here is where "Carrot" fits in... I use her for "on the fly" things I want to get done. Generally, this means I want them done by TODAY! If it falls into tomorrow that's fine, Overall, this app is just fun and that helps motivate me to get-er-done! I'd rate this 5 stars if we could get repeat tasks and a modern siri voice. But overall I'm highly satisfied.

Entertaining at First, Just Average after that. At first it keeps your attention, while you are getting basic functionality improvements as rewards. Once the basic functions are unlocked, it’s provides useless game like rewards. I don’t have time to waste playing with a virtual cat... Has a good simple interface and auto complete suggestions as you type. Major problems: Cannot just repeat items, have to re-enter, and there is no bulk delete for done tasks, you have to delete one at a time....

Love Carrot Tasks. Life gets too serious way too often and people are mean so practice laughing at them when they get angry with Carrot! This is a functional and great task app for keeping up with things I don’t need clogging my calendar and I love the ability to duplicate and repeat now. Carrot has been growing up to meet society’s demands for daily silliness and also giving us tools to ease the stuff we gotta do on the daily. Nice synergy. If you can’t handle anything at all there are plenty of things to entertain you while hiding in bathroom stalls or under the covers too. Added bonus. I feel more heard than when I yell at my car Blue tooth. I appreciate this.

Rewarding on many levels. This is a very useful and cleverly designed app. At early levels it’s a straightforward check-off-your-to-do-list — but over time as you accomplish tasks it becomes increasingly sophisticated. (I love that I can add things to it thru Siri now) The rewards and story line keep me coming back, as does the humor/snark/etc. eg, I know the kitten is just silly but I’ve become very attached to Wilhelm von Furrbottom and the various aspects of his story that develop and are told as I accomplish things. Hence I’m highly motivated to continue completing tasks... mission accomplished, CARROT! Thanks, MakerofCARROT, the app is both fun and effective.

Finally, something that motivates me. This smarty pants does the impossible— she gets me to actually check things off my to do list. Using more of the stick than the carrot sometimes, but still... If the point of a to-do app is to get your tasks written down, then pretty much anything will work. Even pen/crayon/marker and paper/napkins/etc. But if you’re not gonna get them done, then what’s the point? Carrot gets me to get it done. (Or at least to lie about it.)

People have to sleep too. I like the concept of this app, but one thing that frustrates me is the hours spent sleeping always seem to count against me. It would be nice if the app integrated with the “bedtime” feature on the phone so CARROT would know when I’m asleep, or supposed to be. Other than that, I think a “reminders of all the unlocked things you have” feature within the app itself would be helpful. I forgot how to do the swipe down to add another task thing for weeks because I didn’t immediately try it before accidentally doing it and figuring it out. Who knows, maybe these are features that will get unlocked when I reach a certain level, but for now they are making the app less than ideal for me.

LOVE THIS w/ 1 exception. This is the only task management app that I have ever committed to and enjoyed using! I am a compulsive list maker by nature (ADHD) and my method of choice has always been writing on post-its/making bullet lists. I have tried SO many apps, quickly losing interest; until I started using this app. The only thing that I need this app to have is Apple Watch compatibility, and this is the only reason that I can’t give it 5 Stars; despite the app, itself, deserving a 5 star rating.

Makes me want to be productive. I’m not a big fan of ‘to do’ lists because they tend to turn into great big piles of self-induced guilt. I usually end up throwing away “to do” notebooks and never opening productivity apps because they promise to make me feel better but make me feel worse. This app tries its best to make me feel bad about myself and ends up cheering me up. This app actually rewards you (with a laugh) for crossing things off, so I find myself more inclined to add things to my list and make an effort to get them done. Plus I’m scared of her when she’s angry....(I worry for the safety of a certain reward that lives in the server) Recommended.

Best and favorite task app. I’ve tried several dozen. I’ve got ADHD, and a slew of other mental health issues and this app is just effective and hilarious and has grim humor like me. If you’re someone who sometimes literally can’t function without lots of external motivation, here’s a great app. If you’re set off by angry comments, there’s a cheat for chilling CARROT out so she doesn’t shame you. And it’s still awesome. Very very helpful with my various recoveries. One thing- it would be even better if there were a way to have more than one list at a time. And I love the other CARROT apps. Brilliant!

They work great together to help this lowly meatbag get stuff done and keep track of what I’m doing. I look forward to waking up, checking the weather, going over my to do list, getting in a workout, and keeping track of my calories, playing the AI game, and caring for my cat. These apps brighten my day!

Worth it For Me (YMMV). I love the simplicity of this app in terms of the list itself. I often find myself sitting and watching TV, thinking I have nothing I like to accomplish on a day off, only to remember several important things once it’s too late. Having an interactive, funny, sometimes mean AI to chide you or “encourage” you is a neat feature. ... I suppose I DO want to please it and that helps me get my stuff done. I populate the list with literally everything I want to accomplish for the day, from the mundane (take a shower, brush teeth) to errands and important events, so that I continually keep this rabid taskmaster at bay ... and the result is that at the end of it all, I feel really good about what I’ve accomplished at the end of the day. Great app. I do wonder about the kind of person who would rather spend more money (cheat codes, etc) to keep the app from yelling at them than actually do their list, but I’m sure they are out there and the app developers are right to profit off of them.

She’s mean and effective and I like it. I’ve been using this app for like six years and I love it! Her creepy messages in the middle of the night — when I’m not being productive as she thinks I should be because I’m lazing around sleeping, how dare I — make me so happy. Lol. Funny and helpful. Only thing I wish she could do more easily is to rearrange the tasks. You have to drag one by one. If there was a way to select several at once, that would be amazing.

Pretty good.. I wish is could add daily tasks and didn’t have to type everything in each time. I like the snarkiness and it does make me want to get stuff done. I just wish it was more streamlined or maybe had a way to add back frequently typed in task. I was using a daily decision wheel that I could add and take away stuff but didn’t delete things as they were done just blacked them out so they wouldn’t be selected again if we could just merge the 2 I’d be happy.

Effective but tiresome after over a year.. I’ve been using this to-do app for over a year now, and while it has been effective, a year later I’ve grown tired of the constant nagging and snarky comments to motivate me (I used to be more amused by them, but am now weary of them). And so I’m going back to another to-do app that I liked and used in the past. My biggest wish with this app, which still has not been granted, even though I emailed the developer regarding it about 10 1/2 months ago, was to set windows of time that are off limits to CARROT, such as for when I’m sleeping or working, during which times I’m not able to complete tasks in my to-do list. I received a response saying this was a good idea for a future upgrade, but that was many months ago, and the functionality still hasn’t been added (I read another user’s review that echoed similar sentiments). I just find it disappointing that I get CARROT in a good mood by completing a bunch of tasks and later find CARROT in a bad mood because of time I was not able to spend completing tasks due to the need for getting sleep or working at my job, which in my opinion is not fair. I really hope the developer adds this ability in a future update.

Not like any other To Do app. I’m usually a procrastinator but I got this app after using carrot weather and because it is partly a game with rewards I find myself completing tasks sooner and sooner. Starts out lacking in features but it feels very rewarding as you unlock them.

Phenomenally Useful. I’ve been looking for an app like this for years. I’ve needed a central repository where I can instantly write down whatever pops up in my brain and not have to worry about forgetting it. In the past week I have used this on a ski lift, at the airport, while cycling, at 2:00 AM and during meetings. It’s the small things I always forget and this app has already been a Godsend for: remembering names, appointments, books, and most importantly, small details that I need to take back to my office. Those to-dos are so critical. I’ll bet I forget 50% of them by the time I get back to my desk or to my house. Great job on such a great design.

I dig it. This app is cool and I think it’s funny when she’s mad. However I think the time it takes for her to get mad is too short. I completed a task last night which put her in a good mood and when I opened the app right now (13 hours later) she is back to being mad. Maybe a full 24 hours before her getting mad would be better.

Not a lot of options - more for amusement than getting things done. Can’t really do much without leveling WAY up! This is more for amusement than actual getting anything done. You can’t schedule due dates or times, or schedule repeat reminders. And while the app will sync levels across devices, it does not sync tasks so that isn’t helpful. Unless you are turned on by poking ocular sensors and hearing Carrot’s droll, gravelly, 2 pack a day voice just use iOS reminder app or get something like Appigo’s ToDo Cloud

Amazing. I love this app! I'm hoping carrot doesn't mind a few happy pills.. I have a few ideas. If you gave her basic understanding of certain words, like blink, or eat, she calls you a cheater for just doing random tasks. Also, another user had a great idea, of making her blink and look around. Please have mercy carrot

Meh. I’m sure there’s a snarky response to this - and I sure don’t care. Just like I don’t really care about the snarky responses I get from this app. I am continually searching for an app that helps me get crap done. And even paid the $3 bucks based on the reviews but it’s nothing special. Okay, I got a cat. There are points. Cool I guess. It didn’t help me at all and I’m deleting it now. I wish I would have spent the money on something better. Pros: Easy to use right away Once you “earn” features, it helps Kinda funny - just kinda Cons: Very basic in the beginning (I get it, you earn features) Not funny, I mean come on Wish it could have even better features like: - daily “to dos” you could repeat - a timeline for features (I need to do this task this week, not necessarily today) - little nudges - being able to set up reminders (aka, drink water every hour, get up and move every hour, something). Like I said, I’m deleting. Good for them that I gave the $3 to try it.

It’s so helpful it’s ridiculous 😇. Carrot has helped me get SO MUCH DONE!!! Every time I miss a day of checking off what needs to get done and I get a “Mood Swing”, Carrot just motivates me to get more done! My ADHD self has benefited greatly from Carrot reminding me that a meatbag like myself can help get Carrot back to a good mood😂

Different but a great tool.. This app is unlike any I've ever used. It is a creative way to be productive. Every level you gain new features on the app. It makes you laugh but encourages you to get done the things we all put off. If you’re looking for a fun way to keep track of your to do list get this.

Promised Updates. I’ve been using this app for a while and really like many things about it and, especially in the beginning, it was motivating. But it’s getting tiresome and desperately needs refreshing. Syncing across devices is pretty pointless without also being able to sync tasks. I may be looking for a new app if updates don’t happen soon.

Awesome To Do App. I’ve been terrible at getting things done since Covid-19 derailed my life plans. Carrot provides me a humorous (and easy) way to give myself credit for doing things, which is really what matters most- trying. Thank you Carrot, you crazy task mistress.

Great app. Love they way it seems to keep me motivated to do things

Love it!!. I love this app. CARROT is the only one who understands how to truly motivate me. And she gave me a kitten! My only request would be to have some sort of vacation mode. It’s kind of sad when you go on holidays and CARROT gets mad at you because you spent a day at the beach. Maybe it could be an unlockable or time you can accrue with good behaviour (like time off from work) so it doesn’t get abused.

Carrot is a git, a loveable and amusing git!. This app is great. I really enjoy using it. Carrot is very funny. Best app for making to do lists that I have come across, I'm going to download the weather report app next. Super happy with this app. If you don't have a sense of humour tho, this app is not for you!

Good sense of humour. An ultra-simple todo app with a sense of humour. Easy to use but no bells and whistles such as repeating or scheduled tasks. Type it in, mark it done, that's it. The fun is in the personalty of the "AI". Think GLaDOS from Portal and you'll know what to expect. One thing this app would really benefit from is text to speech. If the AI spoke its comments aloud it would be more engaging.

Good App!. Interesting that you have to use it lots to unlock functionality. This almost made me delete it, but I stuck with it. It needs to not get angry while I sleep. How does it expect me to do stuff while I'm sleeping?!

Hilarity and motivating. A fantastic idea and has really improved my productivity. This app has made me laugh so many times, and I look forward to finishing tasks so I can see what it will do. I love the sense of humour. It's also very easy to use! Just don't touch the ocular sensor.

A to-do list that makes you laugh!. The most brilliant app I've ever used. Makes you actually want to get more done, and I've laughed out loud at it's comic replies more than once. It'll abuse you. Unconventional and addictive todo list app. Keeps you comin back to make her happy; its actually hard to stop using it for a day. Although there should be a 'busy hours' option where you can set time periods where she wont be disappointed with you since we people have things like: sleeping, school, etc. Overall, get this app over other todo lists. It will seriously get you motivated to swipe the items off your list.

I'm a 2 x A4 page list and delete guy. I have always got more than 50 To-Do's and I am a 'Doer' ... CARROT is the first App that matches my simple method - get it out of my brain when I think of it (so I can think about something else) and cross it out when it's done. CARROT motivates me to write EVERYTHING and swipe to delete and be rewarded with petty but fun responses. I am a CARROT slave now, and outputting more than before!

Sensational, task-based app. I am very happy with my purchase. A simple UI, which is complemented by a "robot computer" with an attitude. Task can be added with a simple gesture and the leveling system keeps me coming back, positive reinforcement at its finest. I recommend this app to anyone that enjoys the satisfaction of a tick list.

DOWN RIGHT WEIRD!. This app was funny to begin with but after awhile it has started to come up with weird things like: I can see you, what was that sound? & also another that said who was the weird man staring at you this morning? That morning my boyfriend was looking at me while I was asleep. This app is not good for anyone who may be or is paranoid and I think I may have to delete it. Just way to weird for me, waste of money!

Love this app. To all the people saying you can't delete tasks.. You can, you do however need to achieve a certain level first! Great simple easy use with amusing little quips that help you get through your daily list!

Very good app. This is an awesome app. The whole 'completing tasks to get to the next level' thing is very cool. I don't really like how it gets in a bad mood so often, makes you want to start inventing tasks to tick off, but other than that its great.

So much fun!. This app is just hilarious! She's so hormonal and needy!!! Hahaha. Definitely motivates me to get things done, but more than that, the interface is absolutely beautiful and so easy to use. If you need that extra motivation or just a good laugh this is a must buy!

Motivational app with progressively unlockable features. This app is excellent at motivating people to work hard and to feel good about being productive. Functionality is excellent, and the witty banter is enjoyable. One small quibble: -there is no readily apparent way to note vacation or sick days, so any time away from the program counts against you. I found this annoying. I say 'readily apparent' because there is such a feature, but it is not easy to find for a new user. Overall, among my all-time favourite motivational to-do apps.

Swift kick in the rear.. Not so over designed that you spend more time messing w/ it than actually getting stuff done. I like the levelling up stuff, and gradually unlocking more features is cool.

Great but counterproductive. After a while the attitude gets in the way of a basic list todo app. I think the idea is novel but dislike how it animates everytime I launch and abuses me after a while it gets to me and I get scared because I'm disappointing a machine. Still a great app but personally too real for my liking.

It's emotional. This app will make you happy and then make you sad. You'll write down Todos that you've already completed just to keep stay on its good side and then avoid it for a while when you know you're not getting things done. Awesome!

Great app. This app is so handy!! It is like a human robot contained in my very own iPhone! It even has a sense of humour, just like my PA. It's amazing! And I recommend everyone getting it as it urges you to complete task just so you can hear/read the witty/funny remarks it comes up with!!

Gimmick gets old fast. I’m a big fan of the snarky AI trope popularised by a certain 2007 video game! However for me the negative reinforcement provided by Carrot as I complete tasks doesn’t translate to a sense of accomplishment unlike the typical dopamine rush of ticking off a to-do list. I find myself only using it for work tasks and not hobby or home chores because I don’t want to associate the feeling of using the app with things I enjoy. Unfortunately that leads to another problem: Carrot gets mad way too fast. In between going to bed for the evening and arriving at work she will already have decided that you’re not productive enough. If you’re easily stressed, breaking down tasks into a list can be your biggest ally in understanding what you can achieve and avoiding feeling overwhelmed. What isn’t helpful is a little red reminder telling you numerically just how much you have left to do. If you have mental health issues such as anxiety or you want a to do list app that won’t exacerbate the feeling that you’re not doing enough, you should avoid this app. The gimmick is cute if you find negative reinforcement neutral or even motivating. I felt like since I paid for it I had at least try to use it, I got up to level 14 in about 4 months but I think I’ll go back to the notes app.

Great fun. The app is structured so that you do well completing a task about once every fifteen minutes. Breaking longer tasks up into 15 sub tasks really helps keep my motivation strong. There is one feature I wish it had: the ability to set certain tasks to repeat (say, daily). The recent update improves the experience of the app; though I'm considering turning happy pills off as it almost feels too easy now.

Probably my favorite app of all time. Really. It would be great to be able to get/buy some of the required functions early (repeating tasks, reminders, etc.). But overall it's brilliant.

Great app!. Tasks the way i like to do tasks, add a task, do the task. I don't care weather it is for a project, home, work or whatever, just add it and it is there staring back at you to do. And, when you get to a higher level you can set a reminder! Brilliant!

Still my favourite to do list app!. I really love the design of all CARROT apps. This is a great app for daily to do's full of incentives to get stuff done. Not to mention the humor. I LOVE CARROT! The reminders and recurring task options are great! Categories would be awesome if there's a way to do it without ruining the simplicity and the option to access from the lock screen as a widget would be my only requests.

Scary, but effective. A decent interface progression system will help in getting your tasks done. Especially if you don't want your ASCII cat being abused. I'm lazy and that cat has taken such a beating.. I don't recommend this app for anybody who has paranoia issues as it does have a tendency to send creepy notifications in the middle of the night ("You should leave town.", "Did you hear that?")

Awesome App!. Helps heaps in keeping track of my todo list with its moods and how you feel it's "talking" to you. My only suggestion is to add a sort option, like a list of categories for different tasks because the list can get quite long and takes more time to scroll through as opposed to a more neatly sorted list. I meatbag hail the carrot master lol. Sure, other list apps have folders and stuff, but this is the must have to do list for sure. It helps with everything from getting stuff done and organising my day, to having a laugh. Tip top!!

Awesome app!. The app itself is amusing and makes me actually want to do stuff. When I downloaded it, it wasn't working (crashing) and I emailed the dev and he helped me fix it very quickly. Would recommend to a friend. And remember, don't touch her Ocular Sensor.

Clever. The best reminder app I've ever used, it has a personality and actually motivates me to complete tasks for funny dialogue or app upgrades. Don't think the app is bad at first, the upgrades make the reminders better. Love the app, good to use and its great for a procrastinator like me.

Very effective. There is no danger of forgetting to do anything with CARROT. The UI is simple, but very effective. I've given it 4 stars because I agree with other users that it would benefit from some additional features. I hope developers will include these in future updates. In addition to what's already been suggested, I'd like to be able to set-up tasks to repeat periodically without having to associate a time of day with that task. There are many tasks that I know I need to do daily, but I don't do them in any particular order or at a set time. I just want to tick them off during the day & have them reappear the next day to ensure I remember to do them.

Gimmick - fun for five minutes. Fun to fool around with for a bit but way too gimmicky. Carrot gets mad when you aren't being productive, and apparently that includes sleeping. You will soon finding yourself creating pointless tasks for the sake of checking them off and earning points to try to unlock better rewards. Neat idea but needs more thought and practicality.

Task. I only had one task that I needed to do 5 times a day. This app was not able to do that (reward me when completed) and not enough info was provided before I purchased it.

Gets better with use. Cute app. Mean and snarky, abusive and generally unhelpful app announcer. But it’s entertaining. With more use you get more levels and features become more useful. I admit it would be better to have some features right from the start. But this way there is incentive to create a list of things to do. And complete them. You can cheat of course. Create a bunch of useless and meaningless things to do and then mark them as complete (who knew breathing should be on a to do list!) All in all a fun app which is also useful, or vice versa.

Infuriating trash. This app has a mood based on how much activity you complete in it. But I paid for the improved mood boost and it STILL gets super pissy if I do my job at work without using the app. Complete 14 tasks over the weekend and the app will still scream at you and tell you you are failing on Monday. Demotivating needy whiny garbage.

Please. Put. Sub lists.. The only to do app that works for me. Simple, blunt and to the point. It'd be great if you add sub lists, so I can organize bigger tasks into small chunks. Please consider adding this feature; frankly, this is the only reason that I'm still considering to switch to other to do apps. Other than that, it's perfect:))

Wow just terrible. Waste of money. Locks most of its usability behind a “leveling up system” completely out of place in a to do list app. Then pressures you to pay more money to “unlock” these features. Greedy money grab, could have been great if executed properly.

Great app. If you love the carrot weather your gonna like this multi tasking app. It’s a fun way to get things done. Although I do think there is room for improvement for that perfect 5 star rating. A few suggestions. The biggest complaint is when the app turns on , if there’s music playing it cuts it out to have the robot talk . LET THE MUISC PLAY or give the option too over ride it . Besides that the app is great. I’ve been using this app for a week now and would recommend it 😁

Incredibly Entertaining, Not Actually Good at Lists. I love the Carrot group of apps. Their weather app is my default weather app on my phone, and I enjoy the workout app when I don’t have a ton of time. And while I love the story and goofiness of the list app, (I’m level 72), I had removed it from my phone for quite a while because there’s no easy way to get stuff into it. I use Clear, because a) there’s a companion app on the Mac, and b) because of that, I can easily copy/paste lists directly into it. Not to mention, if I’m typing something on my phone, I can type, then just drag down to add another item. In Carrot lists, you have to hit done before you can move on. It’s just not as easy and intuitive to use, and the lack of a companion app means its not as easy to put my list for the day in there. If it didn’t have the story line, the great evil AI, etc, it wouldn’t get 4 stars, I’d give it one star. It’s a very basic list app with no companion app that really offers nothing but a weird AI sense of humour. It just does that exceptionally well.

To Do List with Some Fun!. Make a simple list of things to do. Do them and level up earning new options or prizes along the way. Always fun.

Great if you hate yourself. Carrot is fantastic, I’ve been consistently using this app for several years now and it has really helped me be more productive. If you don’t like being told you’re a failure, this app is not for you.

Great fun!. I love CARROT. It pushes me to do what I need to do, but there aren’t any negative repercussions in app other than her getting really angry at you, and that’s more funny than anything. I’ve tried several different list/to do/productivity apps and this is one of my favorites by far.

Love it but want more. Dear Carrot, I love you, you sarcastic evil A.I. Your vicious humor and taunting edge makes pleasing and annoying you equally fun. Sadly, your list only works for me if I make other lists in other apps too. I need to be able to set priorities on my items. For reoccurring items, I need an easy way to verify that I’ve done the thing today. I need to be able to sort my items by date: today, this week, whenever. Insane how motivating it is. She really makes u want her approval! I can’t tell you how much its helped my productivity. And I am a shamefully lazy person. As Carrot likes to remind me😅 I will think up things to do just to get in her good graces sometimes!

Works well. I usually download a new to do list app, add a few tasks, and then promptly forget all about it. I have a feeling that won't be the case this time. CARROT⁵ is passive aggressive and downright evil at times, and it actually works.

More entertaining then useful. As entertainment its a 5. As a set of productivity apps its a two. If CARROT was writing this review she’d give you a 3 and tell you to try harder. The to-do app is easy to fix by rearranging the unlockables. The exercise app and food tracker are severely limited. (You have a right to make a living, but I feel like I bought a car and then found out I had to buy the tires separately.) The weather app is brilliant. Don’t change a thing. I haven’t used the alarm app enough to rate it. If you’re looking to expand, how about a traffic app. CARROT would make the best back seat driver.

Use it everyday...have for years!. I love it! It's definitely fun and helps me stay productive. But, having used it for years it seems like she doesn't offer much in the way of any creative response after you use it for a long time. Not a great way to maintain a strong customer base. Time to breathe some life into this AI!

Loving my to do list while getting insulted. I really like having Carrot be angry and thinking how I can get through my to-do list in ways that will get Carrot to say something nicer to me.

Reminiscent of GladOS. I've gotten more done with Carrot than I have with literally any other productivity trick/hack/help. Billet journaling, physics lists, other Productivity apps just haven't done it. This is such a cute app, fun to play with and actually pretty motivating. Highly recommend and worth the price.

Question. Is there a professional personality just like the weather app has? Also, can it sync with calendar reminders? A suggestion: lists and then reminders allowed for this app directly from local reminders.

My favorite to-do and one of my fav all time apps!. This app is funny AND very useful. The app actually gains abilities as you use it and the snarky comments make me look forward to using it. Couldn’t be happier with it! I love it but then I also like tornadoes, hurricanes, and Trump voters.

Effective and hilarious. It took a couple of days to get to the levels where it truly helps me stay on task, but I loved the app from the start. It cracks me up, and gives me extra motivation to cross things off my perpetual list.

Sassy and handy. Carrot has helped me get my to-do list organized! It’s nice to be able to check things off and feel like I’m accomplishing something by leveling up. I also appreciate the snark as it is oddly motivating. I wouldn’t normally pay for an app, but I’m happy I did!

Not the right app for me. I’ve never wanted my money back on apps before but this one as well as the alarm clock have been major let downs for me personally. The functionality of these apps does not work with my lifestyle nor my personality. If the alarm worked without all the specifications to make it work it may be worth it. As far as this app for productivity I’m not impressed. It’s not been motivating nor useful to me and I paid for another app that I’ve liked far better.

Love it; iPhone X Support?. Absolutely love it; I’ve been very productive since getting it, and it’s making tasks much more fun and entertaining. Thanks, CARROT! Will we be seeing iPhone X support anytime soon, though? I would definitely like to see CARROT in full screen!

CARROT is life. I love these apps so much! I have recently gotten the To Do list and she really makes me want to fight myself if I don’t do tasks and I like that cause I do tasks now 😎 Thank CARROT. I’ll name a kid after you one day.

Fun. Fun app which is rude and pushy in a way that is not nagging. The game aspect is cleverly done without losing sight of this being a productivity app first. I'm not normally a list person but the design encourages me to put stuff on my list, and check them off.

Carrot works!. She may give you a pet only to use it as a digital hostage that it/she tortures when you're not staying on task. I can't knock it though because it is strangely effective.

Dig in..... I would guess most folk that have this app already have Carrot Weather..... Well, I got the weather app and then finally picked up this. Worth is a nebulous, indisputably personal thing. By the five stars you can see how much I value poking the Ocular_Sensor.....

Hilariously helpful. This thing is great! Hilarious even and after leveling up a few times it has all the functionality that a simple todo list needs. Highly recommend.

Motivating and fun!. Not for organizing anything, even tasks. However, GREAT for keeping your most pressing things right in front of your face, and making you want to DO them to hear her talk smack. She’s your own, personal GlaDOS! I don’t THINK she’s trying to kill me... Directly... 😂

I love and Hate It. What upset me with this app that I PAID for is that it doesn’t send you notifications to help you remember your to do list at all. But it’s a fun way to keep track of what need to get done , if only I got notifications.

Fun To Do Your To-do’s. Mainly just a list but the more you get done the higher the levels you go (kind of reward-game-like) Also, funny feedback and prompts CARROT style.

Hilarious and awesome!. This is the best all around app I have ever used. It is witty and really motivates you to create tasks and get them done. I cannot wait to see what additions are made in the future! Also, the Carrot Weather App is great as well. Check it out!

Nothing motivates like self-initiated shame. I like how Carrot sends me notifications that seem personal, and an easy to use interface. It’s a witty way to organize your to do list... and ironically motivates me to be more productive.

Love this app. You know i was really not sure about the app when i first saw it . But now after i got it , it is the most funniest app ever! The to do list is so much fun! And the work out app is awesome! I can wait to see what the weather is like! Its just a fun app!!

Carrot rocks. I have been using Carrot for years. It is a good balance between functionality and fun. There are two functions I would ask you to consider adding, list sync between devices and nested lists.

I fear the Carrot. It actually motivates you to get things done, which is something no to-do list has accomplished for me before. The motivation comes from fear of the wrath of Carrot (also the fact that it’s pretty fun).
