Yummly recipes. Yummly has a variety of recipes for each recipe title. For example, there are several recipes for something as simple as a bacon-wrapped filet mignon. I reviewed all of them to see if I could learn from them and pick up any hints. I followed one of them and the filets came out perfectly. I’ve followed many of the recipes for soups, side dishes, and salads. In fact, my wife said the seafood salad I made off Yummly was the best thing she had ever eaten. I have to make it frequently. We have an assortment of cookbooks, and all they do is collect dust since I’ve started using Yummly. An update to this review, my wife went on the latest Weight Watchers diet, so I needed recipes that satisfied my needs and were in line with Weight Watchers. I was surprised to see how many there are that meet our needs. I’ve recommended this app to many people.

Best recipe app!!!. I’ve tried pretty much all the recipe apps and this is by far the best. I use it nearly every day. I have food allergies. Yummly let’s me select foods I’m allergic to along with foods I don’t like. That’s nice because it allows me to expand my allergy list. I can pick a specific diet. In our case, pescatarian. I can also pick our favorite cuisines like Mediterranean, Greek, Indian, etc. I’ve not found a lot of the other food apps to be so specific at narrowing down your searches. I don’t want to see foods I’m not interested in. I love the fact that the recipes are easy to make. You can even select how many ingredients you want. I don’t want to have to research ingredients or cooking methods. I want simple recipes that my picky tween and teen will eat. My family raves about the stuff I make from this app. I’ve made some things two nights in a row at my kids request because they love what I’m making. I’ve always hated cooking, but since I started using this app cooking has been less of a chore. The recipes are interesting.

Love this app. I have been using this app for probably around 7 years now. Definitely my go-to app for recipes. This app makes it super easy to find what you’re looking for by asking questions like what kind of protein you want in your dish, desired cooking time, number of ingredients, type of ingredients, dietary restrictions, etc. in order to filter the recipes. When you find recipes you want to save for later, you can create categories (I have one called “Recipes for Dad” where I save easy recipes that I know he can make) or use the ones that come with the app (breakfast, lunch, dinner) to sort them. The recipes always show a rating and written reviews from people who have made them. I find this extremely helpful in deciding which recipes to make and how to alter them based on reviews. Overall, this app is super bomb and I recommend it to everyone!

Useless non free app. Found a recipe I was interested in, had all the ingredients and when I clicked on directions it took me to sign up for a subscription. 1 month free trial and then $3 something a month, not bad for recipes so I went for it. Signed up, clicked on the directions again and it took me to Word Press where it wanted me to sign up for that now. Well, I think it was free so I signed up for it. Third times a charm, so I click on the directions again but this time, in Word Press, it was telling me I needed permission from the author of the recipe and I had to wait for a reply. Sooooo, my understanding is that Yummly has no rights to these recipes and we still have to go straight to the original author. What’s the point of Yummly then? And why pay for the service? There’s so many other ways to find recipes that are a free service through Google. Just copy and paste them to your notebook. I might understand if the entire app was $3 total but a month is just stupid. Waste of money.

Nice app to find a variety of recipes. Love the app. There is one thing about it that I’m not 100% sold on: some (most) recipes link to an external website. But it doesn’t have to be a link. Users just have to put in the instructions which they don’t usually do. It would be nice to not have to go through a webpage within Yummly to get the directions of the recipe because the ingredients are listed on Yummly anyway (for nutrition facts on each recipe which I dig). At that point it’s not really a problem with the app if the users aren’t making use of the feature so no star taken off for that. Been using it for a few months now and it’s been pretty handy with how robust the user base and amount of recipes are. I definitely recommend it!

My go to recipe site. Whenever I am trying to figure out what to cook today, I start with Yummly. Especially now that I am trying to use whatever I have in my refrigerator and pantry. I love that I can just put a few ingredients in my search query and a slew of recipes from sites all over the web pop up. It doesn’t stop there, when I find something that looks interesting there’s a unbelievably useful number of servings option that adjusts the ingredient amounts automatically. I have found a bunch of interesting cooking sites also by using Yummly since Yummly does the web search but the actual recipe directions send you to the source site. If you like the style of cooking or a new cultural cuisine, you can just explore the website you’ve been directed to by Yummly.

Yummly in my tummly. I’ve been using the Yummly app for a few years now. I can find every recipe I am searching for, and believe me it has come in handy. In the last year I’ve switched diets from Mediterranean to Vegan to Keto, now I’m low carb. All the while I’m gluten free. The app makes it easy to obtain allergy free recipes and recipes geared toward my diet. I also receive emails from Yummly. Just before Christmas I receive cool kitchen recommendations. I may put some items on my Christmas list for me or buy items for my friends and family. I am an avid gardener and sometimes need fresh new ideas for an over abundance of vegetables or fruits. With Yummly I can search the vegetables name and find all sorts of recipes. This year I canned my very own tomato sauce with a Yummly recipe! I also learned how to cut a whole chicken in half and roast it! The amount of “Yums” on each recipe make it simple for me to chose what recipe I want to try if multiple recipes pop up under my search. I’m rating Yummly 5 stars because I can always find an outstanding recipe to suit my and my family’s needs.

Vegetarian person given meat recommendation. Such an advanced app with so many people on it, and yet such a basic thing makes me want to delete the app and use my alternatives (e.g., NYT cooking, Tasty, Food Network, etc.). The app asked me what my dietary restrictions were, to which I said "vegetarian," and it had a second page of which to exclude (and ironically I had to tap a whole bunch of meat items which is not vegetarian), and after that, I was given a recommended page full of meat options despite what my preferences are. Personally, I feel this shows little care for the customer, which is only really a problem the moment the customer pays. I am lucky there was a free trial. It makes sense a service like this charges, just not when it doesn't deliver on what it says on the most basic level. I am not continuing based on these impressions and how it's recommending me things that 60-70% are not based on those preferences. Please improve the app. Thank you.

Very good. Good app. Relatively easy to use. Great customize categories for ‘filing’ recipes. Very good content. I will keep using. Could be a little more intuitive on tech side, esp when searching for recipes. It’s nice to search by ingredient/omit ingredient, & would be better if could just search categories of food by type of food or main ingredient or basic type of recipe name...in other words the equivalent of searching by subject at the library. Have found it hard to do that. When opening a traditional cookbook/recipe book, you can do so and it’s efficient, esp w/an index. It took me 45+ min to find a recipe the other day. Easier access to FULL recipes would be better/appreciated, although I understand why clicking to the recipe author’s scroll-thru-29-ads-and-other-misc-stuff-to-get-to-free-full-recipe-directions is necessary in the current pay-for-play-with-time/distraction/ads/broken up text-model of receiving “free” content via electronic media/apps. I’m not sure if there is a paid version of Yummly and even more important, I have my doubts that a paid version would eliminate the above mentioned scroll-thru-15pages to get to full recipes/instructions.

I love this app!!!. The design of this app is awesome. It manages to pull recipes from many sources smoothly, and it’s great about searching specific ingredients/certain types of meals. It consolidates all the recipe info in a clean, straightforward way, so when you spot something you want to try you can quickly see nutritional info, ingredients, prep time etc. from the app, without having to scroll through the actual site the recipe was posted on trying to find all that information (if you choose to make the meal you will THEN go to the full recipe site for the directions, but it’s still from within the app). It lets you create different lists, which I really like, and you can even tell it to create shopping lists for you based on the recipe you’ve picked. You can also tell it what ingredients you have on hand and it’ll will give you recipes that you can make using those ingredients, or what time you plan on eating something. It will give you reminders on when to start prepping the meal if you give it a time. So cool. Seriously, this thing is great. I love it.

Great app, prompt support. The Yummly app is great because it compiles recipes from all over, which I would be too search-fatigued to track down myself. (At the end of the day, let’s all admit it: we want to spend less time on electronic devices and more time living.) I also really appreciate being able to tell it to exclude certain ingredients; for example, if you avoid soy, it can be excluded; and during Lent you can exclude meat and then reintroduce it later in settings. I had a question for their support, and they promptly got back to me. This wasn’t an automated, “Thank you for submitting your question. We will review and get back to you as soon as we can [read: never].” Instead, they got back to me with an actual reply from [what sure seemed like] a real person. Much appreciated.

Can I “Yum” Yummly?!. I have been using (and loving) Yummly for years. I love it for gathering and saving recipes. I also use it to meal plan and create my grocery list. I’ve recommended it to many people when they ask where I find my recipes. In one of the recent updates, however, we seem to have lost the ability to see quantities for ingredients when added to the shopping list. Before it seemed that every recipe would work to add, for example, 6 cups of chicken broth and it would keep the quantity in the shopping list. But now the shopping list just says “chicken broth”. I have to go into the recipe itself to confirm that I’m buying the correct amount. Some recipes still display the quantity in the list, but the majority do not. I know that I can manually go in and change it, but...I hate doing that when it used to work so seamlessly! This is all not a huge deal and doesn’t stop me from continuing to use Yummly. But...it is frustrating when I’m just trying to make it in and out of the store as quickly as possible! It’s the only difference between 4 and 5 stars to me.

Genius cooking. For anyone who has ever shopped in a supermarket while hungry, it is the worst - you buy everything you crave, and sometimes have nothing that actually “goes together” in a healthy fashion. Yummly is FANTASTIC for breaking the process of cooking/preparing down to: being able to shop in your fridge/freezer/cabinets before you go to the supermarket. You can get exactly what you need - look at nearby stores that have the ingredients - and basically shop before you even leave your kitchen. Also, Yummly gives allows you to time all of the preparation and desired eat time that you would like - and all of this can change: to the day/time, which is wonderful. I enjoy this application immensely - even doing recipes that sound so bizarre.

Amazing, so many good features. Yummly is a great app. I have found so many recipes on the app that I never would have found otherwise! If you aren’t sure about a recipe, just look at the reviews for the recipe. Reviewing recipes is honestly such a good idea, as most recipe-filled websites or apps don’t have such features, meaning that you have no idea if the food will turn out well. You can save the recipes, which is another great feature. Find a recipe you would like to try? Just save it so you don’t have to go back and find it later. If you are planning on making several different things at the same time, you can add the ingredients you need to the shopping list on Yummly, sorted by category of foods. When you first log on to Yummly, the user can choose what foods they dislike, what they are allergic to, if they are on any diets, and what kinds of dishes they enjoy preparing. This filters the recipes you see, and you can then find more recipes you would like. Yummly is my #1 choice as a baker and chef.

AWESOME...But just one thing.... Yummly is seriously so amazing and I'm surprised I haven't heard about it until now. It definitely inspires me to want to cook more often. Also, the way you can filter through recipes is so cool. I will usually look for different recipes on Pinterest, but this app just makes everything so much easier. You see something that looks good, and can instantly save it. Then you just tap the picture, and boom you have the recipe. Also the way you can filter your allergy/diet specifications is one the coolest things about the entire app! The only thing I wish it did have (and i understand this isn't very high demand compared to diet) is a weight GAIN filter. Thats one of the toughest things that I struggle with, with having such a high metabolism, is finding HEALTHIER meals that help you gain weight(more protein, calories) . If there was even just an option in the “Nutrition” filter where you can select “higher calorie amount” or something like that, would be super awesome. Just my personal feedback and this is the ONLY negative thing that I have to say about Yummly! :-)

Cancel subscription. Yummly has too many ads, requires multiple clicks to get to the heart of a recipe, and profiles recipes for me that don’t fit my needs. But what is the most frustrating is trying to cancel my subscription. It’s a never ending do-loop of logging into website to access my account, then being sent an email that asks me to sign in. I have then gotten to the place to cancel my subscription, which I do, but then the website will not allow me to cancel my account until I have canceled my subscription, which I have already done (or think I’ve done). But at each step, I have to log in to website where it again sends me an email with link to sign in and I have to start all over. It just keeps repeating. This doesn’t make any sense, does it? No. I can’t even explain what is happening because it is utter nonsense. I want to cancel my subscription and delete my account. And it doesn’t appear that I can. So, my advice is to avoid this app at all costs. It’s a trap and there are better cooking apps out there. And if I did successfully cancel my subscription, please cancel my account. I have tried multiple times and it just keeps telling me that I need to cancel my subscription first. Which I tried to do. That’s how bad this is.

Worst Recipe App without a doubt. I hated their website and app several years ago when I tried to use. But one of my dear friend sent me a recipe “Super Energy Kale Soup” via email I tried click the link and open it in my browser, ingredients comes up but when I click “get directions” , that page never stop loading and nothing comes up. I’m kind of person who have insane amount patient!! So I go to App Store and download the app, and follow through the 10 minutes worth of crap to finish signing up, then even get the pro version. I searched for the kale soup recipe and and when it came up I clicked “ get directions”, same thing happened and it opens a blank page. Now most people would give up by then, but I decided to try one more recipe to see if only that one kale recipe soup has issue, but second and third recipe same thing. I use an IPhone XR and all the software are up to date. I don’t care what million other people say, after spending 25 minutes of my life I will never get back... this is the worst recipe app or to be honest any app I have ever used. Your incompetence is nothing short of unspeakable!!

Pleasantly surprised. I was looking for recipes to make for thanksgiving and I needed fast and multiple food options. Yummly quickly sorted out the ones I wanted and the ones I didn’t want. It gives me a planning time to work with and lots of new food ideas! I would recommend it to people who have to make meals for special occasions like Christmas or thanksgiving but normal day to day uses are also very good. The only thing I would like to change is the planning to eat part. When I have to cook multiple dishes with only two ovens and 5 pans, it does get rather tight. So if Yummly had a function that can plan cooking time over multiple recipes would really make my life a lot easier. Other than this little thing, the app is awesome so good job!

Updated - lowered to 3 - plus it a couple of suggestions. I gave it 4 stars but I’m down to three right now. I respect the right to have a paid/subscription service but if I’m not interested in that please let me know if I’m going to have an offer thrown in my face every-single-time I start the app. I don’t mind periodic reviews but I am getting annoyed. When I get annoyed I begin to look at alternatives. Prior review: As a person who is just getting much more into cooking because of COVID I really appreciate this app and it has really helped with coming up with some great dinner ideas. There are three ideas that would make this 5-star for me: Allow the ability for something to be “tagged” for me as a “not Yum” so if I try something out and don’t like it that doesn’t show up in my search (this is different from a negative rating of the recipe), allow “All Yuma” to be at the bottom of the screen to be able to be hidden - I categorize my recipes and have one for “ideas” to consider trying but viewing everything in one bucket is not useful to me and, finally, some better sorting when looking at recipes based on popularity, reviews, diffulty, etc. Thank you for a great app.

The only reason I cook. Any time I try a dish that I love, I want to learn to make it myself. Before, I’d just use google, but it was difficult to keep things organized. Yummly has made it easy for me to search and save recipes that I want to attempt. I’ve attempted a lot and the app lets me add all the ingredients to a shopping list too, which I love. With the added comments on recipes from the Yummly community, it helps me better understand what I’m in for when attempting a recipe (add more or less of an ingredient, cook longer/less, etc). I could go on and on about it. There are still features that I have yet to utilize. I just think it’s great and this app has single handedly fanned the flames of my passion for cooking at home.

Yummly Recipes. Yummly Recipes is a well designed application that can be personalized to the users tastes to better become a great assistant. The interface design pops off the screen with bright high quality images of foods. The app allows easy navigation to all categories whether articles, recipes or the shopping list. The app is resourceful in many ways. For example users can get suggestions for meals just by scanning an ingredient you have at home. The app also collects recipes from other popular food sources such as Epicurious reducing the need for other applications or sources you rely on. It also works with Apple Health making it easier for whose who rely on the platform to guideline their well being. Yummly is well worth a download for all home chefs whether the free or Premium Pro version.

Love this app but needs a notes feature. I've been using this app for a week and it's already basically changed my life. I can much more easily find recipes to try, add all the ingredients to my shopping list, and schedule what night I want to cook each meal. I'm saving money because I'm not eating out, and my family is happy because they aren't getting the same three meals on constant rotation. HOWEVER. I have one quibble. It appears there is no way to leave yourself a note on a particular recipe (like "try this with half the sugar next time," or "this is my new favorite but the husband doesn't care for it, so make it when he's out"). I instead have to rely on leaving public reviews for each recipe that includes my notes, which isn't ideal. If they were to fix this issue to allow users to leave private notes on recipes, I would easily give this app five stars, as it is otherwise fantastic.

Great App for Certain Uses. This is a great app to find new recipes, but it is not so friendly when you want to save and compile recipes that you already use. I was able to find many, but not all, of the recipes I like to use (from certain blogs/websites). I do not use any filters, so I am unsure why the search function does not recognize certain recipes that easily come u when I google search. To my knowledge, there is NO function to either import a missing recipe from another link or manually enter a recipe (that may not be online). I would prefer to have all of my recipes in one place, so that I do not have to check multiple websites, apps, or personal notes. Maybe this is not the purpose of this app, but it would make it easier for people that are trying to get everything in one app. It would also be great to “follow” blogs or websites that I like within this app so that the recipe feed can include recipe makers that I already trust in addition to recipes the app suggests to me.

Only recipe app I use.. I love this app. I can save recipes (and they make it so easy to do) and I can categorize them too. I love being able to customize my apps like that. This is pretty much the only app I use for recipes. I don’t even google that stuff anymore. Yummly has nearly everything I want when it comes searching for recipes. The only thing is I don’t really like how they have some of them attached to videos, it’s not as simple as clicking into a certain recipe and reading the ingredients. With the video ones, you click on it and the video automatically starts playing. And I had to figure out, at first, how to just get away from that and onto the ingredients and instructions. I still find I have some minor “trouble” with those. But I think that’s a pet peeve of mine. I’m just a control freak. Lol.

This app got me to start cooking!. I was telling myself that I will start cooking more for months... There were times where I would cook for a week and then it would wane for a couple weeks because I wasn’t really sure what I was capable of cooking. Looking at food blogs was becoming tiresome because I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for... Enter: Yummly. I downloaded the app after seeing an ad on Instagram and I was immediately hooked. The UI is super intuitive and and satisfying to use. I can simply just type in what I’m in the mood for (e.g., “chicken breast”) and then I have a plethora of diverse recipe options to choose from. It is so simple to browse through recipes on the bus, find something I’m in the mood for, add the ingredients to my shopping list with the click of a button, and then use the app as I walk around the store to ensure I get everything. Highly recommend!!!

Awesome app! But always room for improvement. I love this app and use it just about every week depending on how busy the schedule is. There’s recipes for almost everything on here. Every recipe I’ve found has detailed instructions for prep and cooking. I can almost guarantee you will find what you’re looking for here. Convenient meals available at your fingertips. Only spots for improvement in my opinion is not having pop ups to go to some blog every time you want instructions for a recipe. The instructions should be right on the app itself. Not that it’s a major hassle or anything but sometimes I don’t want to read about how much mom loves this recipe and wants to stroke it for ten minutes before she shares her secrets with us, who just want simple instructions so we can accomplish making the meal and enjoying it with family/friends. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I really enjoy reading the blogs when they’re well written or I’m in an interested mood. It would just be cool to have the option of looking at plain instructions along with going to the blogs as well. Also an improvement would be being able to see the recipes my mom has saved or yum’d, and vice versa. Because cooking with mom is how most of us learned or started to learn!

Best Recipe App for All kinds of people. I love Yummly, I don’t remember how I found out about it. But it has been a lifesaver, it’s great to save recipes I find online that I want to look at later and not get lost in the bookmark section of my phone. It’s also good for a vegan like me to find recipes, but also serving size and nutrition facts.I scan look at all the egan recipes in one place instead of looking them up online and finding out it isn’t vegan. Plus I can look for recipes using certain ingredients I have laying around. They have such a inclusive dietary preference all types of vegetarians, paleo, plus all kinds of allergies. They have now guided videos, I’ll check those out soon and see what they’re like. I honestly can’t think of anything to complain about. It’s a useful tool for me and one of the must-have food apps on my phone. All the other exclusively vegan recipe apps , or just general apps are overpriced and don’t do half the things Yummly does or if they do you have to pay a ridiculous subscription fee. The best part it is all free! Not a free app with a lot limitations on certain recipes, but there’s a premium membership with access to over thousand of recipes and videos. Or it’s a free trial , it’s actually legitimately free, I mean it has prompted recipes from brand companies but its clearly labeled. Plus I mean the app has to be paid for somehow. If that’s the only ads I’ve got to deal with, I’ll take it!

Concept is great but…. The app is extensive and certainly makes searching for recipes that are specific to your tastes, food sensitivities items or allergies, or preferences more streamlined including creating shopping lists that are integrated with where you shop. However, the time you save gets lost when you click on a recipe and it takes you to someone’s rambling blog or an influencer’s blog filled with click bait ads. I just am looking for recipes. I really do not want to read a a 5 page article about it. But I guess that’s how Yummly and the blogs that they point back to make their money. I probably won’t keep it past the free trial. I don’t have time for the fluff. If it was just a recipe only app without the articles, would be better.

Yumly makes cooking a breeze!. A few years ago I was in a rut cooking the same recipes week after week. My two kids would ask, “What’s for dinner mom?” If I said chicken, they would reply “No! Not chicken again!” With the voice of agony that I never want to hear again! It made me realize how boring and routine my cooking had become. Not wanting to disappoint again, I quickly started looking for a solution to our problem. I found yumly and my kids are now wondering what new and exiting recipe I will make each day!! I can’t thank yumly enough and I share about it with my friends every time I get a chance!! Thank you! From the bottom of my heart and the bottom of my kids bellies!!! My kids will never be bored with my cooking again!!!

Yummy Yummly. I’m a major Foodie. I have found so many incredible and interesting recipes on Yummly. Even ones I’ve used over the years myself. I really enjoy the ability to research so easily. I try a lot of recipes that fall into several different categories. So it’s always a pleasure to come on to the app and be able to research in less time than books, especially when the recipes give you nutritional information that is accurate. However, with all the great things one thing has begun to bother me somewhat. I go to the recipe and the page is gone and that is when you go to directions. It’s very unfortunate to find a wonderful recipe only to find that it’s not complete or accurate. If you fix this Yummly I will give you the 5 stars. I switch from this app Yummly and Food Network to create a planned menu weekly. I also use true and tried recipes I’ve counted on throughout the years. I try as often as I can to give a comment on the recipe I am trying for the first time. However, with so much cooking and daily life, commentaries can get pushed to the side. I do eventually get to them just may not be the same day. Keep up the great job and work Yummly and please fix that error page, I have been disappointed quite a bit lately from that ordeal. Thanks for asking for a review after I used the app for a while. I appreciate the timing.

Love this, but.... I love this app. My husband introduced me to it a couple years back and we both use it on a weekly basis. The layout makes it less intimidating when finding something new to cook. It has options to help with shopping and has videos from chefs to help with some recipes (you have to pay for that portion.) which is nice. Unfortunately, the app stopped working for me about 2-3 weeks ago. It started right after an update in Feb so I thought maybe it was a bad update. However I have had I believe two updates since than and it hasn’t fixed itself. I went to help page and that didn’t do anything for trying to figure out what is going on. I still use Yummly on my web browser but it is not as good as the app and keeps me from using it as often as I use to. I deleted the app and downloaded it again but it’s saying there is something wrong with my user. Not sure what happened but if this keeps up I may end up not using it. I pay for pro because I like it so much but if I can’t use it to the extent I’m used to there isn’t much keeping me from canceling my subscription.

Great!. It’s the best free recipe app! You can save recipes to different categories. The app starts you off with some categories, but you can create your own categories that make sense to you so that you can easily find what you have a taste for. You can click on ingredients right from the recipe, & they go to your shopping list which is organized by type (produce, meat, etc.). You can check it off in the app as you buy it, but it doesn’t disappear. It just moves to a completed section of your list, then you delete it when you want. In the shopping list, it also tells you what recipe the ingredient is for, AND you can get to the recipe right from the specific ingredient in your shopping list. 🤗 There are SO many recipes too AND different recipes for (ways to make) the same dish. Some recipes for a dish may be easier or have a different twist. There is so much possibility.

Yummily searches for me!. Yummily is awesome! Great recipes and great ideas for almost every occasion!! Love how the emails have a theme... and I can search any topic and find at least a dozen ideas to try! For Example, My diet used to be nachos, pizza, and pasta..and anything fried... with a side of bacon. But we all know that all that fat catches up to you.. so I gotta eat healthier. But the problem with eating healthy, it “tastes” healthy. Yummily can find recipes to make beans and legumes taste like burgers n fries! (Ok slight exaggeration there). But seriously you can find dozens of ideas and recipes for anything you are looking for... Yummly is my go to app! Update**** I’ve tried to change my dietary preferences and it continues to send me recipes from the old settings. Also those emails that have a theme, well those too are the same recipes being again. I mean how many times am I going to make chia pudding?

Repeat Customer!!!!!!!!!. I have rated this application several times over the years!!!!! I am an avid application downloader!!!! I currently have 410 apps on my IPad and almost as many on my iPhone!!! This is one app that I have on both!!! AMAZING!!!! BY FAR the best cooking app that I’ve found to date!!!! I rate most apps that truly deserve my praise!!!!! This is truthfully one of the best I’ve ever seen!!! The reason I’m on here RIGHT NOW, is because I want some eggs for breakfast and I’m tired of the same old same old. This IS my FIRST GO TO app for cooking!!! If NOTHING LESS, I get inspiration for what I want to cook!!!! I love that I can select ingredients that I don’t want to use!!! I have a severe kiwi allergy, and thus it doesn’t show me any recipes with kiwi in it!!! A MUST FOR DOWNLOADS!!!!

Great source for wide variety of recipes!. My sister and I are fanatics for cooking and absolutely love to find new ideas to try out. Her and I have been using Yummly for probably, 5-7 years? It’s been a good long while! Some recipes still need a judgement call on them as they need to be edited some for errors - some are exact copies of others - and some are just completely far from a recipe (open can of soup, add water and cook on stove till warm). Then there are the majority that are good recipes and ideas. My sister and I have made countless recipes from this app and will for as long as there is this app probably just simply because it is a fun pass time of ours to just go recipe window licking and just make a weekly or monthly planner of meals from time to time... We hardly ever follow a recipe exactly lol but we follow a recipe mostly especially the first time to see what they cook, then if it is liked or “just needs a touch of” - I keep it for the “family cookbook” which is a planner binder of recipes that members of the family has liked. This application has really helped me enjoy an escape and my family has really enjoyed majority of the meals. The only thing I would suggest is a team of “cooks” to review the recipes to weed out ones that are a waste of time like the can of soup recipes and such that really don’t belong here. The instructions are on the back of the bag or cans...

Needs Improved Calendar Integration. After a week of using the Yummly app I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5. My biggest pet peeve is that it only wants to sync to my Apple calendar. I really only use the google calendar app on my phone and in my general life so that’s been one issue with the app. I would like it a lot better if the app gave me the option of choosing to schedule directly to the google calendar app. Otherwise the app is like a nice Pinterest for recipes only. It lets me stay focused on meal planning instead of getting distracted by all the other potential category of pins on Pinterest. It’s also easy to add recipes I already know and love to the my collection of “Yum’s” and to apply multiple labels onto each recipe (for example I can classify a recipe as both a dinner and a chicken recipe and a instant pot recipe) allowing me to find what I’m looking for faster.

Great source for ideas. For cooks new to the kitchen and those looking for a challenging recipe, this app provides plenty of inspiration! Yummy, straightforward options sorted by cuisine, diet and nutrition goals, Pro Tips and more make this an easy app to navigate. Love the ability to create and name my own collections, as well as meal plans and shopping lists. Ideal for planners who want to get ahead and make sure their pantry is stocked. Two requests: 1) Update the recipe carousel based on number of sessions in the app. Often times the same recipe will be displayed in the iPhone widget for weeks at a time. Once the recipe’s been viewed and not added to a collection, plan or shopping list, it should move lower in the ranking. Sometimes I avoid the app because it seems there may be nothing new to view when the same recipe is on repeat. 2) Allow users to change the preferred serving size. Most recipes are intended for four servings. Editing this value up or down, making automatic changes to ingredient amounts, would be *super* helpful. When preparing a recipe for two, I halve the ingredients on my own. Would be nice if the app allowed me to change the serving size, giving me updated ingredient amounts, and also allowing for those updated amounts to drop onto a shopping list.

Great App!. I love that Yummly has so many recipes when I’m hunting for a specific ingredient, cooking process, season, event, etc. I also appreciate Yummly including the number of people who have “yummed” each recipe which tells me how popular the recipe is (tried & true) & that you can keep track of your preferred recipes by yumming them then filing them in an appropriate category for future ease in finding them again. This is a very stable website that I use multiple times a day & appreciate it for what it offers users. Thanks Yummly!! Although this review was auto-filled, it is totally reflective of my experience & my opinion of Yummly. I did not have to change one comment. It is my go to for any recipe I’m looking for. Thank you Yummly...really!

Huge variety of recipes, very useful. Yummly is a great app for finding, collecting and storing recipes. Yes, Google also works well for finding recipes, but Yummly gives you a virtual storage place to collect your recipes, sort by type, and each recipe has a shopping list function as well as detailed instructions. These recipes are culled from cooking websites all over the interwebz, and some of the individual cooks have a little too much prose on their pages. I may not need to read 8 pages about that wonderful trip you took to that quaint little town in Italy on your honeymoon when all I want is a recipe for cannoli. But that’s not Yummly’s fault. I often print out or write down recipes that I’m particularly fond of, because I’m not sure that the recipes survive on Yummly if the person’s individual webpages are taken down or age out. But again, that’s not any fault in the app per se. The interface took a little getting used to, it’s a bit cryptic, at least for me - but everything is there. I just sometimes get lost and have to back out of the recipes to find the basic Yummly functions. But that’s probably more a me problem than a Yummly problem. Overall, as an enthusiastic home cook always looking to expand my repertoire, I find Yummly incredibly useful.

Awesome!. I have made more meals in a week than I ever have! Meal planning was always so hard for me to do with a little one - never enough time to look up recipes, always forgetting something at the store, etc. but with Yummly, I have been able to get all my groceries in ONE trip to the store, and find the recipes easily! My favorite new find in this app is that you can set a schedule on your calendar that will remind you when you need to start prepping the ingredients & throwing it all together to have it done by the dinner time you’d want!! THAT is HUGE for me!! I am very bad at planning out the meal prep time, always causing our meals to run into the night, or having to throw some last minute dinner together that is below exceptional. So far, I love this app! Only downside is I have noticed a few glitches and bugs that get annoying, but nothing that can’t be overlooked for the convenience!

Yummly is yum but.... I have recently noticed a deterioration in the simplicity of your app. Other sites are posting within your site and it’s becoming very frustrating. For example, If I want “Allrecipes” site, I would go there. Unfortunately, now when I click on a recipe now it could take me to another site where there are unrelated recipes. Not only can I not find their version on the recipe, but there is no way too search for it within their app. This is wasting my time and forcing me to click multiple recipes just to find one that takes me directly to what I’m searching for. One of the things I loved about your app was the ability to go directly to the recipe that was posted and look at the overview of ingredients prior to viewing the recipe. I hope you can fix this issue. This is getting too hard!

Generally Good. But there are several very annoying aspects to the app. Complaint #1– While having folders to organize your favorite recipes is a great concept, these folders can’t be “locked” into place. It is SUCH A PAIN, to have my folders constantly resorted, even within the same session. Even having the folders alphabetized would be a better option. Complaint #2— I wish it was possible to organize my folders as I see fit. If so, I would organize the meat dishes together, the vegetable dishes together, etc. Complaint #3— It is such a time-waster to have to “click” on a recipe in order to save it in a folder. Complaint #4— I wish it was possible to add our own (personal) recipes.

Searching needs work!. I use the app because I like how it gathers from so many sources. I don’t like a few things . The search by ingredients function gives limited choices and no ability to customize the search. Also, When typing into search, there is no spell check so for example, if you are looking for an exotic dish, you have to know EXACTLY how to spell it. Or if you just can’t remember how to spell cauliflower, it doesn’t help you. The MOST annoying thing is that there is no “History” function. If you were just deciding between recipes and didn’t Yum all of them, you cant find them again without starting at the beginning. I also wish there was a way to save a recipe to a file before I decide to Yum it, or review it. For example seeing that a recipe has been Yummed 39 times with one review, tells me little.

Almost There. This a review of the app only. I give this app 3 stars because as others have mentioned, the user interface/experience (UI, UX) leaves a lot to be desired. - Login was my first obstacle. I made the mistake of trying to use my own email address rather than Google or Facebook. Each time I left the app in my iPhone X, I was forced to have an email sent to my email where I had to click a button (never worked) or a long link (ok). That opened the app for me, but I spent a couple of hours trying to correct this issue. - Hoping that perhaps the app was not friendly to iOS and X, I tried logging on via MacBook Pro. Here I tried to set my password (mistake). This involved resetting my password (wait for email again), try to set a new password which gave me the message that the reset time period had expired. - I really did NOT want to use either my Google or Facebook account to log in but it was my last attempt. Finally, I tried that and all went smoothly. I was able to skip all the choices I had made before since their server remembered them all. - Also, to see the directions/instructions for any recipe, I was forced to turn my iPhone horizontally in order to press the button. Once I got signed in, the app presented a lot of nice options (When to start a recipe, shopping list, food allergies to avoid and more), but for now, I'd say it's not ready for prime time yet if it's going to make it so difficult to sign in.

Useless app ignores dietary needs and allergies. I said I don’t do dairy and want vegan recipes, also that I don’t like any kind of cheese. The recipes are almost nothing but cheese dips and cheesy foods. Gross! So glad I didn’t pay for this. Update: I have already closed the app and re-opened it days later. A staff member at Yummly confirmed that this is a system-wide bug with your app and he was able to recreate it on his end. He has apparently notified your entire team already. Please feel free to email me if you get it fixed, but his offer of 6 months’ free subscription to the app is quite useless given that the app does not work. Update 2: While I understand this is a current limitation of the app, there is a profile of recipe called “vegan keto” where recipes are both vegan and keto, and it also happens to be my interest. In any case, if I say I’m allergic to dairy while having keto checked, then I shouldn’t be shown tons of cheesy recipes. It looks like the developers have been working to fix this, so I look forward to an app I can actually benefit from.

Can’t find what I want — impossible you say, right?. It is an anomaly — what with the hundreds of recipes — there are times when I have searched for something so simple that, instead of simple, I get everything but. Take just a basic beets-from-a-can recipe, for example. All I wanted was how to jazz this veggie up, especially since now “canned” almost everything is safer than fresh. Try it yourself: you will get a page that gets stuck, literally, on “marinated” beets that you practically need to power off to get to another page — going to the back button won’t do. Or you get exotic recipes for “fresh” beet dishes. What I needed were some herbs and spices that go well with beets “from a can.” Who has the time to plow through every fancy recipe to find one or two “herb/spice” suggestions? A section on what basic herbs and spices go with each category (canned or fresh) — like carrots, green beans, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, corn etc. — would be a welcome addition.

Love it! With just a few exceptions.... It’s easy to use on the computer or app. I can quickly find recipes that interest me based on dietary preferences, specific ingredients, or other search filters. I love the shopping cart feature, it’s very helpful when I’m at the store because I can add everything I need and have it all in one place without taking the time to write it down. I wish I could add and edit recipes even if it was just for my account and not public use. I use Yummly so much that when I come across a recipe not in the app I don’t know what to do. I also am not a strict recipe follower so I often combine 2-3 recipes On Yummly and then I have to write down what I actually did or I won’t ever be able to replicate it. Overall a good app and would recommend it to anyone who uses digitized recipes.

A M A Z I N G : a thorough review. Right away when you get the app it gives you a quiz about foods you prefer and don’t prefer, if you have any food allergies, or if you are on a diet. You can always change these in settings. There is a home page of foods the app thinks you would like and an explore page if you want to try new things. There is also a search bar. All of the recipes have the nutritional facts and tell you how long it takes to make. You can also set a reminder on the app of when you would like to start preparing your meal. You can give the recipes reviews and comments. You can also save the foods you want to make and there is even a way to organize your saved recipes. You can even make a shopping list on the app and there is a spot on the app where it tells you of good cooking tools you can buy from different brands. Love this app!

Life changing app 🙌👏. I never agree to write reviews for apps but this one deserves it. I love this app! I use it every single day for at least one meal if not more ☺️😋 Yummly has the most amazing options and filters. It coordinates how long the prep and cooking take and can even add a reminder to your phone calendar to notify you of when to begin your meal based off the time you want to serve it. It lets you select if you have a food allergy and will choose recipes without that. It lets you list foods or ingredients you dislike and will choose receives without those. It has an option to let you list what ingredients you might have laying in your refrigerator or pantry and will show you a recipe with those ingredients. And it even lets you take pictures of food/ingredients and will help you identify them to choose a recipe based off that. Great app. Thank you!!!

It’s ok…. But not what I thought it would be. The app could go miles to become more user friendly. Setting a target temp is… I guess impossible after you set it the first time. Navigating the app is a pain. And if you BBQ, and planned on using it in that application… here are some of the problems you might encounter: most people will download the app on their phone. A lot of people are going to want to walk to an ice chest or fridge filled with cold beer. Some will even want to go to whatever device your listening to your favorite music to make adjustments. Some will want to visit a bathroom from time to time, whether a short break or an attempt to clone the President. All the above won’t be thinking about leaving your phone behind so it stays connected to the thermometer. THAT ALONE makes me want to give one star instead of two. The good news is: there will be vast opportunities for improvement, and if achieved, the bragging rights of how much has been accomplished in the improvement stage will be legendary.

Best recipe app I have ever found!. I never review apps but I just had to with Yummly. It is by far the best recipe app I have ever used. The database is bottomless and the filters make it easy to remove any foods you cannot have, or don’t like. You can then search for food items you want to use. You can add recipes to favourites and I’m not sure there is a limit, I have over 500 in my favs. I recommend this app to people all the time, a girl at work downloaded yesterday on my recommendation!

Great app, easy to use. Great app, easy to use. Love how you can save recipes in different categories and add your own folders. So many options for desserts and sweets. We’re not full vegetarians but do try to eat less meat - the vegetarian recipes are a bit on repeat and not much in the way of vegan. I’m guessing as the app gets bigger and more popular these options will increase.

Add a note section. Love this App. My only recommendation would be to add a space where you can write a note on each recipe. I sometimes like to add or change a recipe slightly and I can never remember what I did exactly, so somewhere you can write this would make this app even better!

Excellent recipe site. Yummly handily collects recipes from all over the net in one convenient place. If you are looking for something to cook today you will definitely find a great recipe here from all cuisines and cultures.

Eh....pretty good?. My only qualms with this app are that a) all the recipes seem to be written by and for americans (it took me so long to figure out what “all purpose flour” was!) and b) it takes a long time to get to the actual recipes, some of which don’t include quantities!

Yum could be much more user friendly!!. Hearty lentil soup: A failure i guess because i used brown lentils out of a tin instead of the called for green lentils; perhaps the recipe should point out the significance of which lentils to use!? I want to point out the repetition errors in the ingredient list. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY COMPLAINT about Yum’s policy of separating the ingredient list from the instructions. i know its done to keep the brand up front, but it greatly inconveniences your client users if they wish to print the recipe or export it to pdf (doesnt export the complete recipe) i found this so frustrating i was near the end of my tether with using Yum in future. After all its easy to find good recipes straight off the WWW!! So pls address this user friendly issue.

Fabulous variety. Yummly is my go to app for discovering different recipes, the variety is endless. I love that you can put an ingredient in the search and an endless list with beautiful pics is right there to scroll through. I have made numerous recipes and keep coming back to them, they are so easy to find in my favourites. Thanks Yummly

Perfect aid to becoming a kitchen wizard. I love this app and use it everyday. It’s essentially a compilation of nearly all the recipes on the internet, so much easier to find a good recipe rather than search through pages and pages of blogs on the internet to find what I’m looking for. It can recommend recipes based on interests and dietary requirements too, which is so helpful. The ability to add comments on each recipe is one of my favourite features. I always read the comments to see if it’s a good recipe, what other people did differently ect. All in all it’s been a game changer for me

Perfect for working families. This app is perfect. When I can’t think of anything to cook or want inspiration I go straight here. Love how people comment on the recipes which helps your decision. I have only had a couple of disappointing meals but I didn’t read the comments to see what others did or see what they didn’t like about it. Over all though it’s the best and I use it all the time!

My go to app. Can always find something when I need inspiration, quick easy, usually have all the ingredients in the house. Love the search feature where I just click on the ingredients and away it goes

Highly recommend!. This app changed my cooking for life! I regularly find great recipes full of Flavour and am able to put in the ingredients I have to find a meal easy to cook or sometimes more complex but always delicious. If you’re looking for inspiration for any meal, for me - dinner, this is the app. Enjoy!

Best recipe app. This is by far the best recipe app I’ve ever used, I don’t use books anymore or search google everything I want is on here and there is so many great recipes that it recommends for me things I wouldn’t have thought of to make

Review. I have been using Yummly for a couple of years now & I find the recipes very easy to follow & I’ve found nearly all of them Yummly enough to save for future use! I love how they are put into relative sections! I have recommended the App to many friends.

I love Yummly. I love the fact that each day you open Yummly it comes up with wonderful new recipes that you are interested in. It’s great that you can save the dishes that you want to try and also categorize them making your recipes easier to find. Yummly is fantastic. Thanks Yummly. 🌶🥑🥕🥓🥗🍚

Used it for years. Many years ago I searched for an app with these functions and happily started using Yummly. I don’t use many of the integrated features for scheduling or lists but I have lots of collections and love being prompted by new recipes. I exclusively use this app for my recipe keeping. So thankyou to the developers. I’d be lost without it. Still using it regularly.

Shopping list hack. I love how it makes instant shopping list! I just have a few wishlist to make it more efficient for the user. I hope there’s an option where you can convert all the measurement to adjust the servings you need. I usually double the recipes coz i do batch cooking. Also, please add an undo button for the accidental deletion of an ingredient. Thanks!

Great for recipe hoarders. The perfect app for saving and hoarding loads of different recipes. My only complaint is that you can’t run a search through your saved yums. Sometimes there’s a recipe I’m looking for that I know I’ve “yummed” but I have to look for it the hard way. It’d be great if I could choose one of my caterpillars and run a search through it

10/10. This app is amazing - it is my go to!! Everything I have tried off here so far has been outstanding and it is now a regular meal! I also like using basic recipes and adding my own flare to them!! Definitely recommend to any level of cooker!!

Great inspiration & easy to follow. I love Yummly, I get board with making repetitive meals, and now I have an easy way to pick and choose what meals I want to try, based on what I have in the pantry, and so far all the recipes have delivered, I love the way I can categories them into types, like dinner, lunch, sauces etc.

It’s awesome. I cannot encourage you enough to give this a try..... I like to plan ahead for the week and shop accordingly... while we all have our “go to meals” this app helps to add to that list and makes a change to the norm... brilliant work whoever you are!!

Continuously broken and barely usable. The app is more often inaccessible and unavailable than it is functional. It usually crashes while loading multiple times. Extremely frustrating when I am trying to access my recipes to cook but can not get into the app - leaving me no choice but to try googling the recipe and hoping I can find it outside the app.

Yummly and seasonal produce. Essentially other than the occasional flathead tails or chump land chops, all of our meals are vegetarian with that added, for me the carnivore in the family! I go to the Talbot Farmers Market and just buy what seasonal, looks nice or takes my fancy, plus a bag of spuds! I enter it into Yummly and see what is suggested, for different combinations and a selection of herbs is always ready to add! This has resulted in some favourite dishes where the taste combinations are so rewarding! Oh and I always have lemons, unfortunately I lost the lime to a frost, but will replace it! So I say thank you, because especially in the case of courgettes that come at you so fast it is almost a plague, multiple ideas have meant they are on a totally different presentation for several meals .... so zucchini has gone from something I grew, but overwhelmed me, to having to have more plants! I won’t give you any menu tips because so much of Yummly is exploring and making your own decisions, but, corgettes (sliced thin using a vegetable pealer) Dijon mustard, diced parsley and coriander, fresh squeezed lemon on a little salt and pepper, or maybe just the slightest hint of mint! Amazing!!!

There’s a whole world of food out there & this app knows how to find it. Searching blogs the world over means it’s easier to find what you’re looking for without needing to go through google pages (& lets be honest whoever actually gets to page 2-3 on that thing?) Search by pantry items, cuisine, cooking time & more. Save your faves in folders to suit your own brain filing system.

My Favourite App. I have always been a keen and somewhat adventurous home cook, loving to entertain at home with my friends by providing good food. Whilst I will always love the many cookbooks I have collected over the years I have come to rely heavily on Yummly as my go to for cooking something different, or something appropriate (special events or dietary needs) or to rejoice in an old favourite. The ability to store your favourites, look up by cuisine type and the many variations on a theme are marvellous. If there was anything “more” I would like to see on the app it would be more videos and maybe a “history” section on various dishes and cuisines. All in all I love this app!!

A handy useful source of recipes and tips and tricks. Yummly is my “go to” source for most recipes. Vegetarian recipes are clearly indicated. The various options are sometimes a little tedious and repetitive to work through - but not a major complaint.

Great for ingredients list, not for actual cooking instructions. Any chance of getting the instructions to be native in the app instead of in a glitchy makeshift web browser? Sure I can just open them in Safari but really? I’ve opened 3 instructions so far and have gotten a fullscreen, un-exitable ad on opening each one, one being for OnlyF***s, which is quite inappropriate for a cooking app

Yummly wow!!!. Hi there, I don’t really do reviews all that much. However when I find something as good as this site I think it’s only fair to give it the recognition it deserves. Anything and from anywhere this is a cooks heaven it’s inspiring and makes you delve into a sea of recipes. I especially like the visual aspect after all we eat with our eyes first. I really like making my own little sub folders to save for times throughout the year when I need a little bit more inspiration. So I am absolutely loving using Yummly. Clarebear.

My Go-To Grocery App. Honestly worth the money if you're on the fence about paying. Make cooking less of a hassle by adding recipe ingredients to a shopping list, or tailor your experience for whatever diet needs you have. It's also a great way to explore different cuisines. Only downside is no Chrome integration with adding your own recipes. I have to open a recipe in Safari for it to add to my Yums properly.

My most used app!. This app has given me so much pleasure by introducing me to such a massive variety of recipes. The search function is fantastic, it is aesthetically pleasing and most importantly it has provided me with a new found love of cooking. I enjoy reading people’s reviews and suggestions on recipes they have tried too. Highly recommend.

Great recipes. There is an awesome amount of recipes on this site and it is easy to navigate and save your favourite recipes into your own folders to go back to and make again and again.

I love it and share with my friends all the time. I like all the filters you can have... you can choose from an array of options or dietary restrictions from different meat types, veg, vegan, sugar-free to allergies and cuisine preference. It’s been very handy since I became vegetarian and then vegan as it provided me with options to meet my needs. I always tell my friends about it, especially when they’re trying to eat more healthily but don’t know where to start.

Absolutely love it. I have been using this app for quite a while and I love it. I can always find something for dinner no matter what I feel like. This app is good with all types of international foods, and is great how you can add your own diet requirement. I think this app is great for anyone especially if your looking for quick and easy meals.

Great range of recipes & delightful features. I love that I can look in my fridge to see what I have to work with, search recipes by the ingredients I have and a great range of matching recipes are returned! They are all converted to the metrics I’m used to, I can add ingredients I need to a shopping list AND I can add those recipes I want to cook into my calendar and yumly will alert me as to when I need to start preparing! Yumly, where have you been all my life?! Love this app.

Doesn’t stay logged in. I’m over every time I use this app that I have to resign in, go through the motions for getting my emails checked before I can use the app with my saved recipes & sometimes it can take up to 2 minutes of trying to log in! Very annoying, but once in the app is great.

Amazing app!. Probably the most comprehensive collection of beautiful recipes I’ve come across so far. This is my go to app for all inspiration when it comes to meal planning for my keto lifestyle! It really does look after your dietary and individual requirements.

Yummly at your finger tips. I love Yummly. What ever my mood or taste buds desire, an idea to create a new presentation of food, Yummly never fails me. Owning a cafe and researching for new exciting tastes, I turn to Yummly and research what I have pictured in my mind. Yummly gives me a chance to see their recipes and helps me to be creative or I use an already tried and rated recipe. I can research an ingredient and Yummly doesn’t fail to have that ingredient in a recipe or presents a wonderful idea for my next scrumptious food.

Yum recipes. I have been cooking fifty years and I’m still looking for recipes , life is too short not to enjoy every meal , the good thing is there is only so many ingredients but endless combinations. I call it inventing a new colour and I know that without a recipe I can’t duplicate it again or improve it .

Best cooking app ever!!!. I love this app!!!! It’s free and has such a large selection of recipes and amazing ones at that. I love that you can categorise your recipes and it even has a section you have cooked and tried. I really like the display of ingredients, the directions and photos added. This is honestly my fav cooking app that through the years I’ve deleted everyone one and kept only Yummly. I love it and hope nothing about the app ever changes!!

A bit pointless. Why have an app with half the content requiring subscription when subscriptions are not available in all countries? Typical USA thinking where they believe they are the only people on this planet that matter! Great recipes by the NON YUMMLY blogs included but there’s no reason you couldn’t just search these in Google and probably get even more results. Fairly pointless app UNLESS you're in the US

Very handy app!. Love the simple navigation, layout and inspiring photos. Can get a bit clunky at times when viewing recipes within articles from the app - when you click into a recipe from the article, it thinks you’ve exited the app so it loses the personalisation/login.

PLEASE introduce seasonality for the Southern Hemisphere. It’s a great app however for the 50% of the planet that isn’t the northern hemisphere, the recipes which tend to focus on fresh seasonal ingredients - arent very relevant because we are in winter when you are in summer etc. Please add an option in the settings that allows seasonal recipes to suit the right hemisphere. Thanks.

Great search and filter functionality. I really love this app. Always find multiple versions of what I need, even if I'm not exactly sure what I was looking for. Also, loving being able to save recipes under multiple categories.

Seriously Easy. I looked up best menu / food apps prior to downloading this and am so happy With the outcome. It’s only been just over a week and I’ve tried several recipes! Couldn’t be happier. Two in your ingredients and bam. Theirs a recipe to try or tap in a recipe and learn all you need to master it. 5 Stars Thank you

OK. Pros: can personalise recipe choices by adding liked/disliked foods or dietary requirements, all recipes are one place, can add recipes to your favourites. Cons: if haven’t used app for a while, it will forget your saved recipes. Recipe instructions take you to food blogs where you have to scroll forever to get to the actual recipe. A lot of the same foods with slightly different recipes. Not a lot different from Googling a recipe.

Yummly. I really enjoy Yummly and regularly cook 4 or more Yummly recipes every week. The recipes are always well written and almost fool proof. The very few fails have been because I rushed, didn’t fully read through or guessed some parts. Other than that I like the huge variety, the ease of use and the great tasting end result.

Excellent search engine, but I’d like to skip straight to recipes please. Really appreciate the ability to filter for allergens and dietary requirements. Am playing with the timing option - would be great to be able to schedule 2 or more recipes (as in cooking multiple dishes for a dinner party) but that might be tricky? Would also like the option to jump straight to the recipe rather than have to trawl through blogs to get there.

Really handy. I've been surprised how much more I've tried new recipes since using this app. It converts measurements to metric for you (although one recipe was hilariously wrong, calling for 200 litres of pork, mostly they're right!). It also helps to sort and save them. I didn't think I needed an app for this, but since I've had it, it's been really handy.

Life saver!. There is nothing like a last minute dinner party and you have no idea what to cook or you lost your recipe and you need to find a new one! This app is the best and has absolutely everything you can think of. I love how it suggests items at your standard of cooking and it is so easy to use. Definitely recommend to everyone who loves to cook or who like to try new things

Love it. I use this app almost every day. I love the shopping list feature although it can be a bit glitchy at times and needs to be fully closed and opened otherwise it sometimes hides items!

Useful for ideas. I use the app for getting ideas. Notwithstanding the focus is on USA in food and seasons, I find good ideas and try a few, making adjustments for Australian season and foods. Shame I didn’t have this ap before we gave away our pressure cooker.

Easy searching. So easy to search and find a recipe. I should throw out my old recipe books!

Paywalled to the point of uselessness. Pretty much every feature that would be worth having seems to be stuck behind a paywall. Subscription is “unavailable” in my region (Canada). And then the premium recipes I can’t use get stuck in my recipe collection and I can’t remove them!

Okay, not for specific diets. Downloaded this to get ideas for dinners and was excited it wasn’t a subscription. I was on it for about 40 minutes looking for things that looked good or inspired me and was left defeated. Could be because I was mainly looking for vegan recipes. Wouldn’t recommend. But it was easy to start and save recipes.

Disappointed. I used to love this app. I used it for filtering my preferences to find recipes within dietary restrictions, to find easy to understand recipes, and for discovering new food. They recently introduced a subscription. Without this subscription, you can’t view the majority of recipes on the app, or filter any preferences. You also can’t filter to not show the locked ones, so if you want to find a recipe you have to scroll thru hundreds of locked ones to fine the one or two ones you can actually open. I live in Canada, and the subscription isn’t even available to buy, so even if I wanted to, I don’t even have the option. I’m disappointed with how this app turned out.

Use to be better. I can’t find my saved recipes easily anymore : don’t like the update

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Loved by all

Rae Duthie. I’ve been using this app for a long time & loved it! Not any more!! It won’t let me sign in & freezes up when I try to use it without signing in. Trying to make me upgrade & pay a monthly fee!! I’ll go find another app instead! Too bad I’ll lose all the recipes I saved though.

Cooks delight. Love this app. So helpful. A wide variety and no matter your skill level recipes that apply to real life.

I can’t delete or remove a recipe. This latest update has made it so I can’t remove a recipe from my favourites without searching for it again in the search then deleting it from there.

Great app. Use it every day!

Was a great meal planner and recipe index. This app used to be great, sure it had a couple of hiccups with syncing and had recipes that weren’t available anymore, but it worked well enough and was great for finding new recipes. The newest update, however, had removed an absolutely CRITICAL feature, or hidden it in such a way that it makes this app much less useable. Yummly, why on earth would you get rid of the ability to remove recipes from our “yum’d” list? We try a lot of different recipes and if we don’t like something, having the ability to remove it so we wouldn’t accidentally do it again in the future was an invaluable part of our use of this app. This change feels like an unnecessary thing to me and how no one caught this as being an issue is a little silly.

Go to for recipes. Go to for recipes

Updated the app and now can no longer log in. It gives an error message every time. This is so frustrating when I use the app often and have numerous recipes saved!

Every update makes it worse. The last few updates seem to have changed the functionality for the worse. Instead of having recipes in a grid they are now presented in larger rectangular tiles, which requires significantly more scrolling to look at options. Also, once you click on any recipe, the app brings you back to the top of the list making you scroll through everything all over again. With close to 4000 recipes saved it’s a lot of work to get past the first hundred or so. There new layout is pretty, but seems to have missed user experience testing.

Add personal recipes. I would like to add personal recipes into the app so that I no longer have to look at old recipe cards or use my memory.

Love yummly. I got this site a number of years ago . Still loving the recipes it provides. I look probably 2 times a week for inspiration , and have found some outstanding but very simple things to make. I love that most of what is recommended or search for have simple ingredients that I either have at home or are easily found in the local stores.

New update. Long time happy user of the app and I have to say it has been great these last few years. But, I just finally got around to downloading the new version and it is now a horrendous user experience. So bad that I don’t want to use it anymore and will have to look for an alternative to Yummly. Why make such unfriendly unintuitive changes to the app???

Why would you break a perfectly good app.. Last update just made the app terrible. Why would you put overview/directions/ ingredients on 3 separate tabs, when it was nearly together before. The directions used to be just a button click away - now you need to go to directions tab and after clicking the button the app just shows blank page. This was 5 stars for me before. Now it is not usable. Bring back whoever designed it previously.

Love it. 10/10 would recommend

Amazing app. Best app I own, would definitely recommend

Horrible Update. Newest update is awful to navigate. Tried to browse dinner recipes and gave up. Won’t be using the app anymore unless they change this layout.

Meal planning made easy. I have been using this app for a while, but I have just started using it for meal planning. I was using a paid subscription to plan and this app is better.

Not a favorite. Used to really like this app not now. Poor selection of recipes. Poorly displayed, no easy directions. More difficult to use

Why change it when it’s good?. I have used Yummly for years but I must say that I can’t stand the new look of the app. Will likely delete it and try something else.

Subscription needed…. Need to subscribe to view numerous recipes. But subscription is not available in my area.

No printable shopping list. Useless without ability to print shopping list

Don’t like New format. Don’t like New format- too many steps to get to recipe directions!

Updated App now it won’t open. I’ve been using this app for 3yrs and it does have its issue but I’ve found some great recipes, then it ask to do an update and now it won’t open, so all my recipes are gone!

👍👍. man i loved this app but then it got more popular and you need a subscription for many things you didn’t before and i can’t even get the subscription cause im not in the states 😒

Really dislike the last version 9.5. Unfortunately this new 9.5 version is really not a winner. All my favorite features and why i kept going to the app are gone

Was a five star…. This app was amazing but now it’s really difficult to manage since the last update not fun anymore.

Dinner-saver!. Really enjoy the recipes from this app. Just wish I could turn off the videos - kills my data when I’m not home and I’d want a filter to turn them off. Also many times I don’t want to sit through a video and would rather just have the recipe on read-only. Also, when searching through my own “favourited” recipes, when I try and go back it always defaults to the beginning of the list. That’s annoying.

Awesome baking recipes !. Awesome baking recipes/ I love every bite of all the desserts I’ve made!

Great place to find new family favourites!. When I’m looking for something “new’ (to us) this is the first place I look, and I usually don’t have to look any further. Love Yummly!

You’ve made it worse!. Well, you’ve done it again, and now I’m angry! How and why would you take the app that people were already complaining about the last update and make it even worse??!! Where are all my ratings??!! All my comments??!! I have made over a 100 recipes on the original, previously wonderful app, and now all my ratings and reviews are gone! Thanks a lot - I am now looking for a better app…

Not available in Canada. Don’t bother downloading everything is locked and no subscriptions in Canada it’s just another pay to use app that you don’t know is until you waste your time downloading and giving your information! To bad I may have subscribed to the meal plans!

Changed app. You changed things and I’ve lost all my yums.

Yummly’s new version is simply awesome!. Great app! I always find recipes that will interest my family. I tried many recipes and it generally turns out very well.

No meal planning in Canada. This is a good app with great recipes and it’s very well-made. It’s unfortunate that it won’t allow meal plans or subscriptions for Canadian users.

Update is horrible. The new design of the app I find is horrible. The site is way to cluttered now and difficult to just browse,I will be looking for a new option.

Why just why. I have had this app for a very long time and loved it, but you have ruined it. I don’t like the layout of the app anymore and I’ve also lost about 4000 recipes that I had saved o over time.

Disappointed. Downloaded the app as a way to organize my own recipes, but only found out that this feature is locked or otherwise unavailable to people in Canada once I had gone through the steps of signing up for an account/log in. This should be more clearly stated earlier in the process.

Keeps freezing. I am having a problem with the new version. It opens up and searches but then nothing. I click on the recipe I want but does nothing. Frozen. I love with app it has wonderful recipes, Wish I could still use the old version. 5 stars for old version, 1 star for new version

I Used to love the app but now. I used to love the app but not that a lot of recipes are locked behind a subscription I can’t see half of them. Tried to signup and it says it’s not available for subscription in Canada making the app way less useful. Can’t even filter recipes to exclude stuff on subscription.

Great app but improvements can be made. Excellent app but you could try to reduce the pop ups. Wow!! Also talk to your developers and get an option to add notes to the recipes.

Useless in Canada. The majority of features don’t work in Canada but it doesn’t tell you that until you waste time on the survey.

New download is awful. Downloaded the new version of Yummly and it seems I have to sign in every time and pick the type of food I like every time, very annoying. Once I get to the recipes the screen is frozen. I love the app, but will be deleting it because of these issues.

Broken links make Yummly app worthless. Spent the afternoon shopping for and then prepping ingredients for a recipe only to find that when I clicked the button for the preparation directions the link was broken and connected me to an entirely different recipe. Wasted my time and money—don’t waste yours with this app.

Too many videos!. I love many of the recipes and this is my go too however there are too many pop up ads and videos!

Great recipes. I found an alcohol free fondue recipe and I can’t wait to eat the fondue.

Fantastic!. My wife and I started keto a few weeks ago, and Yummly has been an extremely helpful resource. It's easy to search for recipes, and I like how I can save recipes in different collections so if I want to make breakfast I can just click on my "Breakfast" collection and check out my options. For a long time I couldn't find the "Yum" Safari button to add recipes that aren't in the app, but I finally got it working so now I can even save recipes I find online. And I love how Yummly includes reviews, so I can see what other users thought about that recipe. This is a well-implemented app and I honestly can't think of anything it's missing.

Yummly keeps me sane!. So easy to search for recipes. Save them ("yum") and then make a shopping list. I check my pantry and fridge, then go shopping and check things off the list. When I come home, I go to my finished shopping list to remind myself of the recipes I planned. Everything is in one place! Now with the rating and comments section I hope to be able to make notes and remember what I did to the recipe. Thanks, yummly! That 👆🏼all being true my only issue is that I have lost my Yums more than once with phone updates or app updates. Very frustrating but I like the app enough to start over again, so that says a lot!

amazing app. I have used this app for years. It has been my go to app for meal planning. Most of the things are great and it makes meal planning and cooking easier. It used to be really good for grocery shopping too. I do wish that when I browse through the “just for you” section that it wouldn’t include recipes I have already saved. I also wish that there was a way to dislike or stop seeing certain recipes in that section. This used to be what I used to do grocery shopping because it would be so easy to add ingredients and quantity of ingredients, but now I no longer have the option to do that. It doesn’t show how much of an ingredient in the shopping list portion anymore even when I add from a recipe that is already on Yummly.

Best cooking app there is. I never leave reviews.... but this is the best cooking app I’ve ever found. I’ve used it for a couple of years and love that it’s full of food bloggers recipes and linked directly to their websites. I used to just google for recipes, but never found as many quality recipes as I do on Yummly. There’s a massive variety of recipes in this app and that’s what makes it priceless. You can set food preferences to make sure that each recipe that pops up is something you’d actually eat. The grocery list feature is the best. Saves you time and effort and you can add in others items you need. I tell all of my friends about this app and they always love it too.

Amazing but under explained. This app has been my go to to make some truly amazing meals for my family, but functionally tends to be hidden away unless you have an idea what to look for! Adding health data is hidden away in the nutrition section, which I understand, but would never know existed if websites didn’t show me. Just recently after several months of use I discovered you can change the portions and in turn the ingredient amounts, and I would have never looked that up because I thought it just what it was and thus had to do the simple math myself. It has a lot of little cool features, I just don’t know where or what they could be!

Best Cooking Database. Great app! This app is my favorite. It’s awesome for individuals either looking to follow a particular diet (keto, low sodium, etc.) or just have other parameters or restrictions they need to adhere to. As opposed to vaguely browsing a search engine for something that stands out, this app makes it easy for me to say, “Hey! I want chicken with cilantro but I only have 30 minutes or less”. Furthermore, seeing how many people have liked the recipe and being able to easily adjust the serving size is another plus. And I can’t forget about the ability to easily save and organize recipes that have interested me. I recommend this app to everyone! There are even drink recipes as well.

Wonderful, Valuable, Educational. I downloaded this app at the start of COVID as my wife and I challenged ourselves to cook more. This app made it fun and easy to try new recipes and dishes. You can just type in pretty much anything you want into the search bar and have a number of different recipes to choose from. The “Yum” function is awesome and I use it to save recipes and put them in ‘lists’ so I can go back and browse my past likes easily. For example, I have recipe lists for chicken, beef, (any other meats), sauces/marinades, desserts, holiday, etc. I’ve really annoyed using this app (daily!) and recommend it to most everyone I meet that wants to get into cooking more. 5 stars all day.

Learning to love this app!. I’ve been playing around with the shopping list feature while attempting to use my crockpot more often. I haven’t figured out how to schedule meals on the calendar and then view my calendar - I can schedule something for a certain day, but have to click on the recipe to see when I scheduled it- I just need to remember to write them on my personal calendar I guess. So far I’ve like most of the recipes (General Tso’s crockpot chicken was especially enjoyed by all!) and have been using this app a lot! I love how the shopping list will organize items by isle at your favorite store - impressive!

Chock full of advertisements and links. Unless I am delusional, Yummly used to be much better. Today, my wife sent me a link via text and it wouldn’t even load. I searched for it and found it manually. Then, I had to work my way around advertisements and unrelated images like a knight dangerously navigating the evil gauntlet of death. Eventually, I made it to the recipe and had to read far to much fluff to get to the details. Why does this have to be so difficult? Is armor and weapons really necessary? Can we just get a cooking / recipe app that is easy to use, has great relative pictures without all the linking and scrolling to circumvent the advertisements I’m not going to pay one ounce of attention to anyway. I’d pay for an app like that. A reasonable monthly fee that is shared across a single family would be appealing. Much unlike this current app.

I used to love this app. Discovered this app a few years ago and used it constantly. I had a huge collection of recipes saved then there was an update to the app which completely wiped my collections. Disappointed to say the least, but I continued to use Yummly and started rebuilding. The new layout feels more convoluted and I’m not sure if it’s the app or the recipe links themselves, but I feel like every recipe I checkout now has persistent pop up videos that literally will not go away! I can’t scroll through the recipe instructions without a video opening and totally obscuring everything. And yes, I close the video every time it pops up but the moment I try to scroll the instructions it’s back again!! The older version of Yummly was much better imho. Time to look at other options

Recipes Galore!. This is the first place I go too, when I’m looking for a delicious satisfying recipe. And the best part is the variety and quantity of recipes available. It’s a veritable pantheon of recipes just waiting for you to try or explore different cuisines. I have did some extensive traveling around the world and in the process I’ve come to enjoy different foods that I experience in those travels. I also think I missed my calling! Ok back to reality, I’m not a bad cook but I’m no chef. But the recipes come with excellent directions that even a novice (want to be chef) like myself can follow with ease. Dig in all you novices and WTBCs! You will not be disappointed.

Liking app less. I have used many recipes that I have found on Yummly with mixed results. They are not all complete and leave out such details and the size of pan or temperature of Oven or length of time in oven. This week I was looking for a traditional sugar cookie, like we made when I was a little girl many many many years ago. I had to search through a lot of gluten-free, sugar-free and Ingredients I had never heard of to find anything close to what I wanted. I am all for healthier diet but if you Yummly is becoming more health and less comfort foods, I’m finished. UPDATE: After receiving prompt explanation and helpful suggestions, I am upgrading my rating to 4 stars.

Great for Beginners. I LOVE THIS APP! I’m new to cooking and Yummly couldn’t be anymore perfect. It gives reviews and pictures of others cooking the recipes and even helpful tips from other who have already tried the dish. Each dish list the ingredients AND It will even put it on a shopping list for you so you can mark it off as you grocery shop! The list even put the ingredients in order so you’re not running all over the grocery store (like myself). Not to mention all the food I’ve made so far has been soooo good! I could go on and on but if you’re thinking about getting the APP… do yourself a favor and download it!!

Use to love, now it freezes... UPDATED AND UPRATED!. I use to love, love LOVE this app, now it drives me crazy! Ever since the last upgrade, it constantly tells me I need to upgrade, reboots the page, then freezes. On rare occasions (like today), I actually still get to use my recipes. Please, please, please fix this so I can continue to tell everyone I know how awesome this app is. UPDATE: within a couple weeks, I was contacted about my issue, and my app no longer freezes. Now I love Yummly once again and can continue to recommend it to everyone I know! Thank you for immediately knowing how to fix my problem and helping me with this issue!

Delicious Fun. I have never had so much fun finding new dishes to try and enjoy. First of all, Yummly really works at getting you recipes that may be of interest to you based on your previous searches and saves. Then be ready to look all these gorgeous pictures of deliciousness lined up for you to peruse, salivate and eventually try out. If these were not enough, I would simply enter a couple of words in the search box and BAM!... more recipes! I am new to vegan cooking and the selections here make me wonder why it took me so long to figure out what I've been missing all along. My body is thanking me for the healthier meals. And I thank Yummly.

Gone downhill. I loved this app when I first got it years ago, maybe 2015 or 2016. It was a great way to browse for recipe inspo, search according to preferences and try new things; and to save and organize recipes, including thise that I saved in Yummly from other sources. It’s consistently gone downhill with time. Less about inspo and organizing your own recipe book; more about paywalls and premiums. I could get over that, if that didn’t degrade the experience of the rest of the app, but it really has. I just spent hours organizing a backlog of recipes I save from other sources because the app is so buggy and resets the page and goes to the top of a category page any time you tap into a recipe or edit its categories, so you lose your place. It’s just not an enjoyable experience anymore, and horrible for both browsing and organizing.

Best app !. The only part I wish was improved is that a premium version be made to allow me to import or type in family recipes and a menu planning area. . Otherwise it’s wonderful!!!! Lets you Organize your recipes the way you wish . Shopping lists easily made ... I can sigh. In from any device and use in the store as I shop ... I can find a recipe online and search for it by name and site then find it on Yummly as well to save it. I rate , review and add any notes to help me next time and even a picture if I feel like it. You can choose foods you want or to eliminate in searches such as allergy foods too! Can’t say enough about the App!

No Independent Recipes or Online Profile Security/Protection. I’m came here for specific recipes.... not to be redirected to skinnygirl49s or piggypigsfatshacks or anyone else’s online blog, their useless filler content or their pop-up ads. Yummly has an amazing amount of recipes for anything you could ever imagine cooking. That being said...I’m bothered by the fact that Yummly list all the ingredients you’ll need for any given meal on the recipe page and then makes you click on a link to a third party blog or page for preparation and cooking instructions. Yummly directs you to a an independent bloggers 3rd party site for every recipe!! I get pop-ups and click-bait and have to infinitely scroll through stacks of steaming trigger words and third party adds(which makes tons of money for the bloggers Yummly sends you to) just to get the full recipe. Its like walking through a minefield and since there’s no security from Yummly, your personal information is open season for hackers and your devices to malware. Avoid Yummly, go with an app like “All Recipes” instead. Much safer and and every recipe is front and center with no hassle when you need it. **I would give the one star or less, but people dont read those.

Not the same since the update. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Yummly!!! This app is a lifesaver and makes cooking at home (for ANY dietary restriction) easy and fun and different. However I recently updated the app as per the app recommending it, and ever since the app hasn’t worked nearly as well. It freezes quite a bit and I have to close the app and restart it, and the search function hasn’t been reliable. Sometimes it provides the usual great results and other times it will tell me it doesn’t have any recipes that use ground beef. I would recommend this app to anyone, if they fix the bugs in the most recent version.

The Food App I Use the Most. I have a number of food apps and most of them are decent. However, my most beloved one—hands down!—is Yummly. Nearly every dish for which I request recipes is instantly provided in multiple versions, from simple to more involved. Many of the recipes have built-in videos to make the preparation process even simpler. Since I love the Instant Pot so much, I often search for recipes specifically for cooking in that device. Yummly focuses on that type of recipe nearly as much as I do, and they never fail to provide me with ingenious and delicious options for that cooking genre. I love Yummly and I believe that every cook or chef would be happier with this great app in their culinary arsenal.

Finding good foods to eat finally!!. I am probably the worlds pickiest eater. Because of that I have a hard time finding new foods to eat and I get sick of the same things over and over. I decided to take some chances on internet sights and YUM is the best place I’ve found so far! I love the potato, ham, corn chowder! It’s so good! And the ground beef minestrone soup and stuffed cabbage, truly yummy!!! I make meals a couple of months in advance and freeze them. It is so nice to just pull the out, heat them in the microwave, add a salad or fruit, or a muffin or some kind of bread — try the banana bread with the streusel, it is to die for!! Everything I have made has frozen nicely and tasted just as good after thawed and reheated! Love this site!

The BEST Cooking App..PERIOD. I have tried the AllRecipes Dinner app, Tasty, and Evernote’s Recipe keeper app. NOTHING compares to this app. I love how in-depth the initial questionnaire is, to automatically weed through recipes you won’t want. The flip side is that it highlights recipes that are awesome and new. So far I’ve tried 3 different dinner recipes that impressed my house of picky eaters! I am from the Southern US and my style of cooking has been soul food. My husband has more creative tastes in food, and I’ve been wanting to experiment with middle eastern and Mediterranean flavors. This app has a wealth of recipes from all different parts of the globe. I rarely review apps, but I had to give this one 2 thumbs up!!

Nice pictures, little else.. Sadly it’s either a very poorly designed site and series of apps or it’s simply incomplete. It has nice pictures and ingredient lists. I can’t figure out how to navigate to anything else on my appleTV. They really need to make this not only intuitive (swipe down to see something come up from below? Unlike every other app?) but clearly explain somewhere how to do more than “yum” things to a list. You need to use a website on another device to logon and set up the account - same problem there but even less intuitive to use. It asks you to install and use their app on your phone for a better experience- tried that, but the app won’t recognize the login info used on the TV and the website. Overall very disappointing experience. 30 minutes, not a single recipe, downloaded multiple apps and websites just to not get this far.

Fabulous app for the busy family!. I use Yumly several times/week to plan our meals, organize our shopping etc. I love that I can filter through all the ingredients I do and don't want to include - we have family members who are vegetarian as well as those who don't eat shellfish. I also am excited to try the new feature of recognizing ingredients and suggesting recipes. That could make this a home run!! The only reason I didn't do 4 stars is because the layout is a little less than perfect. Many recipes, you have to weed through an entire blog post to find the actual directions. When I have time though, some of these posts offer good insight into the recipes.

Love this. Yumly is great! I find so many dinner ideas on this app. I browse this everyday to see what is new and how I can keep my wife’s palette guessing. But....when it comes to the functionality, that’s where the issue lies. First thing is the directions to the recipes. I think it would make more sense to have them within the app instead of having to go to another page. Also, there are way too many ads. I’m using the app to make a meal, not have to scroll through 7 ads that just annoy me. The user experience on that front can not be good. Lastly, the emails that are sent with recipes. I love getting them but open in the web browser, then when I click to open in app, it brings me to just the recommended for you home page. That is annoying. Overall, good and helpful app, just needs some TLC on the UX.

Tell your friends!. I often say Yummly is the Pinterest of foodies. We all know how easy it is to get sucked into the massive abyss that is Pinterest (yes, I love that site/app too) but this is a great place to just look for dinner, cake, breakfast, all manner of tasty things! There are a lot of good features to explore. I don’t even know the extent of it yet. And it is worth telling your friend about! I know I do all the time! (I have and regularly make recipes for pumpkin break muffins, turkey meatloaf, cookies, and on my list of up-next recipes are things like Pad Thai, breakfast brownies, Russian tea cakes, and others besides. Just to offer a handful of examples of the tasty stuff I keep finding and adding to my little family menu.)

Great app, I use it a lot!. I use this app regularly to find new recipes. Its filters are super helpful, you can easily narrow down what you're looking for. Diet restrictions, ingredients on hand, time it takes to cook, methods of cooking, and so much more. It has quite a few options I haven't even tried yet, like pairing a smart thermometer with the app! I use it on a regular basis, and would absolutely recommend this app. The developers recently added a paid subscription option, but the free version is still super useful so they don't force you to pay for the subscription(they didn't throw in a bunch of adds when the premium version came out either!) So thats nice

It could be so much better. Lots of potential, but falls short.. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Yummly. I use it a lot for recipe searching. But, I kind of have a love hate relationship with Yummly. From the standpoint of tons of great recipes, 5 stars. From the standpoint of ease of use and navigation, Yummly coulda kept huge improvements. For example, if I want a seasonal appetizer, there is no way to easily find it. I can search their appetizers, but I can’t filter their seasonal category down to appetizers. Instead, I select seasonal and have to look through everything trying to find any appetizer. With a database as massive as what Yummly has, they have done kind of a poor job with navigation. Give the ability to do deeper and multilevel filters and it would be perfect.

I love it almost everything. I’ve had this app for years and years and love it so much! There are so many recipes, so many search options and ways to cater what you are looking for! I love how your recipes are saved right there and can be organized how you’d like. The only complaint is when you search the recipes in your Yummly box it can be hard to find the recipe you are looking for...since I have hundreds of recipes saved I hate going through them individually to find the one...time consuming! I feel like it’s gotten better recently, but I still find myself scrolling more than I’d like.

Great Variety. My go to recipe app! Love that there is recipes from all over the world-great variety of recipes. The layout of the app makes it so easy to use & it’s easy to get to my saved recipes. I love that you can set up a schedule for meals too. Easy to share my favorite recipes with my friends thru social media also. So many new recipes, that I stay busy cooking wonderful new dishes for my family weekly! I’ve recently started printing some of the recipes & making some small little recipes books for my friends! I’ve shared the app numerous times now, so my friends & family can start using the app also!!

Best app I’ve used for recipes. I just downloaded this app and it honestly makes searching for healthy and delicious recipes SO easy. It’s fun and easy to use. Not only is there so much variety but I love that it caters specifically to your needs, from selecting your allergies to selecting what dietary plan you have in mind. I would however love to see more videos on how these recipes are made. I still enjoy reading the articles on how these meals are made step by step but it sometimes makes it more fun and feels easier to make the recipe when you follow a video. Other than that, I’m very excited to continue to use this app to make some delicious meals.

Used to love it, but now it’s a chore.. I loved how quick, easy, and reliable Yummly used to be as how I used it, a recipe box and gatherer. Now, I have an older iPhone. But the app has progressively become more clunky, cluttered, and frustrating to use. I don’t want videos or sponsored posts clogging up the entire feed. I understand the need for advertisement and sponsorship, but it’s gone to a point to where I am just not enjoying the slog to just pull up something I saved to figure out what I need. I feel the direction of the company/app is to become a one stop shop for all things recipes and learning how to cook. But there’s no way to share this app with others when it’s painful to use. I no longer recommend it. It’s functionality in my life is all but lost for the few obscure posts I was able to save long ago. I will still use it, I appreciate the work that has gone into the app. I think it’s a neat idea, and it was well executed originally, but became bogged down and lost its tool like efficiency. I appreciate this app when I can collect recipes from many sites and when I want to cook, I have those at my fingertips, easily.

Try it and love it. I’m the type person who never does reviews, always clicks “later” when the app keeps asking lol. But Yummly has been very patient with me so I said “why not?” I’ve been using this thing for years. It’s a great app. You can filter for certain ingredients you (don’t) want, cooking methods and cooking times. Dietary restrictions. You looking for a crock pot meal? They got it. Want dinner to be done in ten minutes? They got that too. As a mom, this app is a lifesaver! When I think to myself “what was I going to make with that chicken?” Or “I’m so tired of regular pork chops”, I can open this app and find tons of new things to make. Just download it and give it a try!

Revolutionized my meal planning. I’ve been using Yummly for about a month now, and it has seriously changed my life. I’m a working mom with two littles and used to feel so overwhelmed my meal planning. Yummly to the rescue! It’s SO easy to plan and schedule meals! Craving Mexican cuisine? Yummly’s got you. Starting a keto diet? No problem! There are tons of recipes. I love that the app alerts you when prep needs to start. This helps keep me on track. And the integration with Instacart? Game changer! I seriously had meals planned and groceries delivered to my house within two hours last weekend- all while still spending time with my baby. Thanks for all you do, Yummly!

Robust Cooking app!. I love Yummly, in addition to having millions of recipes available from top chefs to cool bloggers, it allows you to filter your search by ingredients that you do or don’t like as well as by what ingredients you already have at home. Love the shopping list feature, you can creat 1 shopping list for multiple recipes for the 5 course meal you plan to cook and it automatically sorts the items by grocery store depts (ex diary, meats, etc). Lastly the schedule feature is perfect, pick the day you plan to make receipe and when you want it to be ready and it will give you an alert/reminder on when to start prepping. I use this app more than I expected.

Difficult to learn and filters don’t work. I’ve been using Allrecipes for many years. Recently, their app stopped working on my phone so I’m looking for a replacement. Reviews seemed to point towards this app. Too complicated to begin with. It took my ten minutes just to get started and even then I was confused. I set my filters as Gluten-free AND wheat free (why both choices are there, I do not know) and dairy free. Out of the twenty or so favorite cuisines they offer, I selected about half of them. Typed in ‘chicken’ as main ingredient and first recipe it suggests is one that hasn’t yet been rated, AND contains two cups of flour?! So I added to my filter - do not want wheat flour. Try again with ‘chicken’ and this time the first choice it gives me is one from a cuisine category I didn’t select, also containing dairy. Sorry, but I’m very much unimpressed!!

Quick, fast, easy, simple. I work on average 45-50hrs a week. I have 2 jobs and 3 kids. Boy Scouts , extra curricular activities , meetings, clients. And then the dreaded phone call..... what’s for dinner? Ughh—- I haven’t even been home!! This app makes planning my month easier. I usually bulk shop for the month, and buy produce and dairy fresh when I need them. Being able to make my list directly from the app, choosing all ingredients I need and have it at my finger tips makes this busy mom look like she spent hours cooking !! Still get a great, healthy , customized meal!! Love it !! Wish it would sync to my calendar tho. Still struggling with trying to fix that. Not sure if it’s the app, or my calendar. Says it’s synchro but keeps giving me a Oops message

Great app!. Yummly has a ton of delicious recipes!! 😍 I love how you can personalize your diet restrictions, allergies, dislikes, etc. The search has awesome filters such as health factors; low sodium, no sugar, vegetables, no fat, etc. All the recipes they include on this app have worked so far and are really tasty! Some involve more work than others, but there are filters for how much time each recipe takes. One thing I don’t like is the format of the recipes. When you click on the recipe, it shows you the ingredients and kitchen tools needed, but NOT the directions. You have to go to the website to find the directions, and it usually takes a while to load! 😐 Overall, I wish the directions were listed when you click on the recipe.

Yummly turned me into a chef!. I’ve always loved to bake sweets, but never enjoyed cooking, partially because I am not very creative, so coming up with ideas was difficult. Nor am I good at just throwing some ingredients together to make a dish. Since I started using Yummly, I now make the most delicious meals! My husband, who used to do the majority of the cooking, is thoroughly impressed by my new talent! Everything I’ve made has turned out perfectly and has been revisited several times. We call it “putting in on rotation.” 😊 I love just being able to decide on the type of food I’m craving and finding numerous suggestions for it. I also appreciate being able to select a recipe based on the amount of time or specific ingredients that I have on any given day. The only aspect that doesn’t strike my fancy is the extensively long “story” that accompanies the directions for each recipe, but I respect that the author enjoys adding that creative element to the recipe; I just scroll down to the actual directions to get going on it! Whether I want to make something savory or sweet, I know that one stop on my Yummly app is all I need!

Many, many recipes to choose from.. Maybe it is just me but I kind this site difficult to use. I am the first to admit I am anything but a computer expert but I can’t even make a recipe a favorite. I try to search for a recipe that I have seen before but it seems to be lost in the abyss of computer land! Now I just print it out as I see something interesting. That being say (or typed as the case may be) what I have tried is delicious! I do love that they they include the nutritional info and make it so easy to see but you have to scroll way past all the ads to get to the directions. They do have loads and loads of recipes consolidated from many different sites, to choose from. I just wish this site was easier to navigate.

Long Time Yummly User. Yummly is a very convenient way to find and organize the meals I like and want to keep handy. I like that meals are rated and commented upon which helps find the recipes that have been vetted out by many users. I especially like that the app somehow allows your phone to stay awake when your on the directions page of a recipe. There’s nothing worse than having to refresh your phone in the middle of the preparation! We’ll done Yummly. HOWEVER, I am becoming increasingly annoyed with the advertising that pops up as you scroll a recipe. I have had some videos pop up that I cannot get to close or shut off. THIS is a major turn off and I will start looking at other apps as I can’t live with this anymore.

Rubbish. Directions aren’t included in the recipes!!! There’s a link (that often doesn’t work) to take you to a website. I learned this after trying to figure out the directions for an interesting recipe on both Safari and Chrome with no luck, figuring surely the app would work. So I was vastly disappointed to click through all the garbage they want to know about you, search for the recipe by its name and url to no avail and finally finding it in a long list of recipes by using the search I’d originally used on the internet only to find that the link to the directions was broken. Also, SO many recipes call for prepared foods as ingredients. On the occasions when the app can find the directions, it’s slow and takes you to the long and worthless prose that no one wants to read. Deleting the app as useless and will avoid the website in the future.

Reignited my love for food. Yummly has been one of the best apps I’ve downloaded. It works flawlessly and updates frequently. Whether I have a few ingredients and I’m trying to figure out what to make, or I’m looking for something specific, Yummly has been there for me. I used to love cooking a few items. That got old and boring. Now, I enjoy cooking everything, and my family will eat my cooking now too! 🙃 One of the best features has been the grocery list. I plan out a week of meals and go through the list to see what we need to get from the store. It’s so convenient!

Would have given it more buuuut. I normally don’t review apps, but Yummly literally did not give me the option not to. No matter how many times I said I didn’t want to rate it, don’t show me this message again, it would. Not. Go. Away. Besides that, I like the app rather well. The recipes are normally pretty bland, but I mostly just need new ideas. I’m a recent vegetarian, and this app has been very helpful with finding new things to cook! There does need to be an easier way to mark meals you’ve liked or made and didn’t like besides the “yumm’d” think you can click or adding the recipe to a collection. My favorite thing about the whole app is the grocery list, though. If Yummly didn’t have that feature, I don’t think the app would be worth it.

Amazing App that Has Really Supported Me Entering a Healthy 30s. I love this app - not kidding, but it has literally changed my life. I’ve been trying to eat healthier for stomach/digestive reasons I've had my whole life and this app has made that so easy for me. I’m not a chef by any stretch of the imagination, but it allows me to customize my dietary restrictions and them sends me emails weekly or puts recipes on my feed that fit in those restrictions. They even will tell you what recipes are the fastest and easiest if you’re not the best cook, like me but getting there(!), or just want a snack. I even started the Whole30 and it suggests recipes that are Whole30 friendly. Without the support of this app, I wouldn’t be able to do it. Thanks guys! Good work!

Love Yummly!. We have four people in our family. With Yummly we can all share one calendar on our phones and my two teens can plan their one family dinner where we can check up on their groceries or that they’ve planned it out. I’ve loved it for years. The update has me SO EXCITED!! I can now schedule a meal, then choose buy and they have fixed the link. I can now choose from several options instead of just instacart. There’s Walmart, Target and most exciting, the local supermarket (kroger family) AND I can use pickup on my local account. Saves so much time for myself and in nagging my kids. Great job guys!

Great concept, super buggy.. I’ve been using this App for about a year now after my husband was talking it up. It worked great for awhile, until it didn’t. Nothing ever loads (not an internet issue) and I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling, as well and restarting my phone. I love that you can save recipes and come back to them later, except because of the bugs, my saved recipes never load. My husband was having the same issues and finally deleted the app. Mine worked until recently. Today, I was looking up a simple recipe for ‘pancakes’ and it told me “we searched the World Wide Web and couldn’t find what you’re looking for.” I think if all the bugs get worked out, this app would be incredible.

Does not say recipes for me.. I installed this app three months ago on my iPhone 7 Plus, I have updated my operating system’s to the most current update on the operating system for the iPhone. Ever since I downloaded this app, even today, it will not save recipes for me I keep getting the error message “we are experiencing problems saving your recipe right now please try again later” I press OK , try save it again and keep getting the same error message over and over and over. Seriously Yummly/Yum app developers, what’s up? I have even uninstalled this app and reinstalled it three times and it still keeps doing the same thing. Ugh! 👎🏼 Meanwhile, I use the Yum/Yummly app on my desktop computer and it works fine. So I can save recipes there, but how much easier it is to do on my Iphone when I am surfing food blogs and looking for recipes.

Nut Allergy here! This is wonderful. I have had this on multiple phones. Just Googling recipes is fine for plenty of people, but when you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, it can become stressful. This is also the easiest way to filter by ingredients, the tool I use quite often. I even have recipes saved to try another day, gotta remember to buy some of those key ingredients! This does not eliminate my family resources for their recipes, it just lets me add something new to the rotation or plan for something interesting! About to make Salmon With Everything Bagel Seasoning from A Taste of Joy and Love for the second time this month. Not a paid review, just wanted to recommend it!!!

Super Frustrating Bluetooth. I have never actually written a review on any app……ever. However, I felt compelled too for this thermometer app. I am currently using the thermometer. It is in a steak during a reverse sear in the oven. It is working great! I only use this about once every two weeks and about every other time it looses connection and “can’t find” the thermometer. My phone’s Bluetooth says that it is connected but for whatever reason the thermometer won’t connect to the base. I then have to spend 10 minutes disconnecting and reconnecting everything for it to connect. Then it works great. Maybe I’m wrong and maybe I’m just missing a step but either way it is extremely annoying.
