Awesome for buyers ONLY, do not consign!!. Consigning with The Real Real is NOT WORTH IT. Buyers are happy with this site at the consignors expense. As soon as I even inquired about consigning, I was bombarded with phone calls and emails daily. When I did send in my items, I was still getting daily calls and emails asking me to send in more items. To give credit where it’s due, any of my questions were quickly answered, and I was removed from the contact list when I asked to be. My items took over 6 months to sell (yes they were good quality, trending items), and only did so after the items went on sale for 50% off without my consent or being informed, on top of which, apparently coupons can be used. I’ve received $13 for 3 separate items that I’m confident I could have sold on Poshmark or eBay for ~$50 in a couple months time. I’ve had an incredibly long, annoying, disappointing experience as a consignor. I used to love buying from TheRealReal, but now that I know it’s at the sellers expense, I can’t shop in good conscience anymore either. Never using this site again.

The Real Real is addicting.. I recently started shopping online using my safari mobile and on my laptop. However, I downloaded the app and I love it. It alerts you automatically when a price has been discounted or if your following a certain item from waitlist. I am always checking it everyday for items I am on the hunt for and I love that they always have a sale constantly. If you new to downloading the app or using this shopping platform, I highly recommend it. Easy to roam through and access your profile. In addition, customer service has been extremely kind. Especially when I encounter an item I received as not as described even though it was a final sale. Customer service still helped me return the item and properly refunded me. Give it a try! You might become addicted. 💖💜💙

Excellent app and model. This is an excellent app serving a great concept. I think the concept is self-explanatory, so on that I’ll just say that, in my experience, it’s worked out really well for the most part. The app is great. It’s intuitive, stable, useful, and very professionally done. If PM would allow me, I have some ideas to make it even better: (1) a width filter for neckties would be fantastic. For example, I don’t really like ties that are over 3.5 inches in width; I’d love to be able to filter out the wider ties. (2) you NEED a help/feedback button by item. Sometimes, items are wildly mis-categorized, or their pictures don’t match the description. With a Help button, users could ask questions about an item or alert TRR to mistakes. (3) the “recently in bag” section really should filter out items that have been sold. There is no point in creating a shortcut to put stuff in your bag that is no longer available. (4) under My TRR, user should be able to sort searches. E.g., I’d like to see my search for pristine dress shirts at the top, always. I have no way or arranging my saved searches as is. Finally, it’d be great if you could bookmark/favorite brands, so when you’re creating a new search, you can select your favorite brands faster.

Most have. I love real real, for me is the better consignment side ever, they are very good in check all the merchandise and very trustworthy to let customers know of conditions. I love the side. The only problem I have they don’t have a option on the side of item good and very good condition, so I have to look one by one. Hope they change that soon , sence I only get very good or prestine . I do recommend this side to everyone. If you not sure about your shoe size just go to a store , try a couple on the brand names that you like so you know exactly what to get, some brand name shoes rum very small and narrow. I found wonderful things on real real. I truly can say is my new addiction, I use the side a least 2 times weekly.

Lost all consigned items and no answers after six months. I only consigned with them once and all the items are lost. No answers so far I consigned nine high-end items last August. They came to my place to pick them up. Ever since these items have been shown as “in transit” on my account. Four months later still not hearing about anything, so I reached out. It’s been two months, their investigation has not gone anywhere. Instead, they have been asking questions about the details of these items and even asked for pictures. How could I have pictures for items that I already consigned… the concierge took a bunch of photos when they picked up but I’m not sure why they don’t have them. Now it just seems like they continue to delay an answer. It is truly heartbreaking- although I don’t need these items but I had emotional attachment once and hope they end up somewhere nice. Not knowing where they are is just like the worst feeling

Wish I had found them sooner!. LOVE this app! First, I have not purchased clothing much as designers are notorious for being slightly big or small and I am hard to fit with some pieces. However, every piece I have purchased has been EXACTLY as advertised. Second, had I found them sooner, all those designer items may not have ended up at Good Will after our recent move! Ugh! Third, if you have Hermès taste on a K-Mary budget, I highly recommend this app! You can save things and add them to your wish list if they get sold which helps when you are trying to save up for that next must have. To date I have sold more then I have purchased and will re-consign items when I am ready for the next one!

Pleasure to shop in here. The experience I have had so far shopping with TRR has been great, no complaints. Recently however, I purchased two different items for which the size listed on the website wasn’t the same with the items. Although I was able to return both items after talking with customer service, very friendly and helpful by the way, it doesn’t take a way that a lot of time and energy was waisted. I decided to take a look at the returned items on the website to see if the size was corrected; however, it is still say the same thing… I love shopping with TRR because I get items that are not usually everywhere on the market, but now I’ll be wondering everytime I make a purchase if the size would be true to what it is posted on the website… is there anywhere to make sure the individual seller post the right size Thank you

Iphone app keeps getting worse. I have been using the RealReal app for 9 years and it has only gotten worse. It started off being a fast, user friendly interface and now there is always a glitch. The glitches have only become larger and more disruptive to the user experience. On a few occasions the technology hasn’t been useable at all, nothing loads and you get a pop up message “Not Authorized”. One example, I haven’t been able to view “my sales” in the app for about two months. The screen stays stuck on the loading circle and nothing happens. Also, the quality of photography and presentation has gone way down hill. I’ve seen clothes put on the mannequins backwards or upside down. I’ve seen mislabeled designers numerous times, as well as mislabeling which article of clothing it is - calling a romper a dress. Each example above only hurts the Seller’s chances of it selling quickly at a higher price. I’m giving two stars because more times than not I am very pleased with their customer service.

Used to be great, quality & customer service has gone hill drastically. I love the concept of the RealReal. Occasionally you get a score. However as of lately I have had numerous issues with them. Items have been consistently misrepresented on the site. Items are described in great condition but upon arrival have considerable flaws. Customer service is not consistent and severely lacking. Example, I received a coat that’s condition was misrepresented. I contacted them and requested a repair. I was informed over the phone that they would not repair it but after contacting their chat three different times was given three different answers. Finally an agent agreed that a repair would be covered then after I had the repair and sent the invoice they claimed that was not possible. Only after calling and making a fuss did they make an “exception”. This was after two separate representatives promised that this would be honored and gave me a fake case number. Another example is recently I placed a large order, two items were missing, one item I did not order was included in the package and another dress arrived in a disturbingly soiled condition. This was a $500 Valentino dress. I was appalled. They offered to remedy this by not charging for a return label. However these mistakes and oversights have been a consistent trend as of late. They really need to invest in their warehouse protocol and customer service and put less money/energy into their branding.

Never pay retail!. I love this app! I used to purchase my designer goods on resale apps, but I’ve received numerous counterfeit items. TRR is amazing. You get items for substantially lower than retail, Afterpay is available, checkout is simple and shipping/returns are a breeze. I can purchase designer items at a fraction of the cost. The only issue I have with their app is the carting process. Anytime I click on my Cart, there’s a delay of numerous seconds while it loads. I’ve tried WiFi, cellular, different networks, but it doesn’t matter. It takes a long time to process anytime you go to your cart. And sometimes those seconds matter. Speaking of, I’m not a huge fan of the timer. They give you 20 mins to checkout, but it goes quickly. An item is held for You after it’s added to cart, but since you pay for shipping, you want to get your money’s worth. But alas, the cart likes to freeze and then I lose my cart. I try to add items back quickly, but it’ll still show they’re being held (by me) and then I have to close, reopen and try to recart. Anyways, that’s the only issue really. Otherwise I live TRR!

Deceptive. I have purchased a few items through them and consigned one. Every time I have bought online, the items have never come in the condition listed on the site, resulting in me asking myself: “okay, can I live with this?” Most often, I just don’t go through the hassle of returning. Now, if I ever see something I like online, it has to be in the SoHo store where I can look at it. Still, I have found pristine items with tags at the store are often not pristine when I arrive to look at the items, though they may still have the tags. Excellent items, which they deem to have no wear, are often not the case either, just by zooming in on each of the photographs or using the store method. Be very, very careful of this when purchasing online. If you want a bargain, end of season sales with the designers and the department stores are often your best bet. You have to have the patience of going through the racks virtually or physically. They often get the price to cheaper than TheRealReal during the sales, sometimes even when TRR has received that same item themself.

Once upon a time TRR was a reliable way to shop. Now they get so much clothing categorize, describe and price that they barely pay attention to the item in front of them: Cardigans described as plunge necklines, Double breasted jackets or coats described as pea coats, butterscotch described as yellow and even navy described as black, Incorrect measurements and sizes that do not correspond and condition of garments inaccurately described such as fading and pilling where there is none. It is now impossible to buy a garment without wondering the size and condition, and with the shipping charge increased, it’s not a pleasure anymore to try, and it is impossible to consign without wondering just how inaccurate the item will be described. Everything has its moment and TRR’s has passed. Updated review: Your response that my above poor review will be “sent to management” is further proof that I will receive no response from “management” because there is no true concern that my poor review will make a dent in the TRR machine that it has become.

The buggiest app, never improves. I have emailed support a couple of times over the last year about app issues. Never got them resolved. This app is just SO buggy that using it is insanely frustrating. Combine that with the high cost of shipping and returns...and basically I don’t have much incentive to shop TRR. The bugs are always related to my feed. Saved searches disappear WHILE I am scrolling down my feed, and they will reappear if I force-close the app and re-open but then they disappear again. Random ones. I just searched for a designer and there’s one item available and a lot of items sold, I saved it to my feed and it says, “Nothing available.” A search for a different designer - only sold items show up - I save the feed and it shows up as normal (showing me all the sold items). It’s just a super unpredictable and buggy app. I’ve also emailed support with suggestions (1. Filter loved items by “sold”, 2. Return from a loved item “detail” view to the same spot in your loved items page instead of back to the top). I’ve waited more than a year for those features... This app is just a hot mess and is increasingly frustrating to use.

Unhappy Consignor. Consignors BEWARE! I was initially really happy with this site as a buyer but after using as a way to consign my designer items, I am hugely dissatisfied. They have “lost” 3 of my expensive designer items. The first item was “found” and returned to me finally after 3 months, but looked like it had been worn and had makeup stains on it (I originally sent it in clean and freshly drycleaned). Two other items are still “missing”. When I call and email, TRR responds with vague responses saying they will look into it, but it has been months now that my items have been missing and they are no longer responding to my emails or offering to compensate me for the hundreds of dollars my items are worth. THIS IS THE EQUIVALENT OF THEFT! The items that have sold are often discounted very quickly on the site to prices very low and that I did not approve. TRR has made a lot of money off of my items but has mistreated my trust in them. There are other ways to sell your designer items. Don’t use this site!

OBSESSED - Wedding Season Must. I’m obsessed with so many items on this site and have spent hours sitting through items and creating a dream closet. I love the real real for 3 main reasons: 1) I can make money on clothes that I normally would have given to friends or donated. 2) I can afford items that I was always to cheap to buy full price, but tried on over and over again at Nordstrom’s. 3) This is sustainable!! After going through the site, I realized that you can buy gorgeous high quality engagement rings and designer weddings gowns. This is where I will be going for my wedding needs. When you’re shopping on a budget, but appreciate quality and trendy items, this is where to go. Additionally, I’ve been buying high end dresses to wear to weddings and re-consigning them afterwards. I get so many compliments and only need to wear the dress once.

Slow loading times and questionable UX decisions. The load times for certain screens is pretty bad, particularly the cart and Obsessions. Not as glacially slow as before, but still often 4-5 seconds or more. For times when one has to be quick on the draw, I’ve learned to never EVER tap on the cart icon unless I wanted to stare at the gray spinning icon for ages. Yesterday I noticed that the app no longer shows sizes on search pages or in your saved searches. I don’t know if this is a bug or some dumb misguided scheme to increase clicks/engagement but it absolutely ruins the browsing experience, because there’s no way to tell if an item is in your size from looking at the photo. It’s extremely frustrating. Fix your mess, TRR developers. I hope somebody reads this review, as it’s actual feedback about the app that needs fixing, not complaining about commissions or fakes. People can’t seem to separate the service from the app on here.

Commission payment. I’ve done a good amount of business with The RealReal, both buying and selling. Last month, I’d sold a couple of high-priced items for which I was granted a 65% commission with an extra 5% “loyalty” bonus. That commission remained the same for about 3 weeks until about 5 days before the payment was to be made, when the 5% bonus was reduced to a 1% “influencer” bonus. I’d called to ask why this happened, and did not get a clear answer, and was told to wait for the payment to be made to see if it is correct. The payment was made today for the lesser, incorrect amount. I’m currently waiting to hear back from an agent, but this experience is terrible, as I’ve spent a couple of hours trying to resolve the problem. It shouldn’t be this complicated, and there shouldn’t be changes made to commission payments that benefit The RealReal, rather than the client that is giving them business.

Garbage app. So apparently they have a new CEO after Julie was ousted or left? It’s mind-boggling that they say they create new updates on the app however nothing has ever changed. I’ve been a customer now since they started and this app and website have had no significant changes. You can’t toggle back-and-forth between certain searches and resellers use bots to get items (thanks technology). Or people on the inside see which items are listed and they buy them for their selves to resell or tell friends. It’s really obvious at this point as they immediately go in carts and then I see them weeks later on eBay for 4 times the price. So in most searches items are already in carts as soon as I refresh the browser at 7 AM and 4 PM. Also like others say they hound you to sell and then it takes forever to sell items since people can wear and return them and you have to wait until payouts.

World class customer service. Ok so I’ve been shopping with TRR for several years now. I never have issues with quality or description of purchases. Recently however, I purchased a belt and a handbag (both of which are items that typically are not returnable.) the belt was far too large (yes I checked the measurements, it was listed as an extra small, which by standard measurements it was but, it being a waist belt, rather hip belt complicated the issue.) I digress, the handbag, I simply did not care for once I saw it. Two short (POLITE) conversations with customer service later, I was able to return both items for a full refund, not just site credit. The title of this review says it all. World class customer service. They had every opportunity to tell me, sorry nothing we can do, after all, I am familiar with the return policies, but they chose to go the extra mile and offer me not one but two exceptions. I cannot stress this enough, being polite will get you much further with them than being an entitled, demanding jerk. This company will forever have my business. I may not be the biggest spender but I am consistent. And I will also send referrals simply because of the exceptional customer service, not to mention the amazing product.

Good service, slow app. I love TRR’s offering (am a First Look member), and overall the app works well, but some of the APIs are painfully slow. Specifically everything in the checkout flow, from loading your cart to initiating the checkout process to actually completing payment. I’ve lost items because I started checking out with 2-3 minutes left before my cart expires, and the checkout process took so long (loading screens for ages) that by the time things loaded my cart had expired. Sometimes I’ll add items on mobile and then complete checkout on web because it’s faster. Mobile could be a superior experience to web because it’s faster to add items to your cart, but they’ve completely neglected some of these core parts of the experience. Loading the Items section of the My Sales page also takes forever, but this is less important than the time-sensitive checkout flow. Please fix this!

Consigner. This place is pure trash we had a bunch of hi brand expensive items many of them even had tags being brand new it was 15 different name brands all of which were on their list of designers that they except I checked each one one by one and it was on there the lady told me to pack it all up and get it ready to ship to them then after I spent all day going through it and packing it up nice and neat then she messaged out of nowhere and said for me to send her the list of all the designers so I did some of which were Michael Kors Calvin Klein Salvatore Ferragamo Hugo boss Balmain BugatchiRalph Lauren banana republicPerry Ellis Kenneth ColeTom Ford Thomas pink Bloomingdale’sSaks fifth Avenue and and bogosse and after I sent her that list she just messages back and says sorry we don’t take any of those are you freaking kidding me! Every one of those designers is on their list I even told her that and then she said sorry we don’t take them and she was even kind of rude when we were on the phone with her but that is completely ridiculous 15 designs and telling me you don’t take not one of them not only am I going to find another consignor I’m gonna make sure everyone I knowKnows about this

Good site, bad app. I love theRealReal, but the app itself has a ridiculous and unforgivable flaw: when you hit the back button, it doesn’t take you back to the last page you viewed (like every other website/app ever) but all the way back to the home page. Which means if you search something, click on an item, and then click on the brand/designer to see what else is available, you can’t go back to your search results. The back button will take you back to the home page. What? This is especially annoying if you’ve narrowed your search down with various filters because you have to re-enter it all in a new search. I am in the habit of quelling my curiosity and not clicking on brands when browsing bc I won’t be able to get back to my search results without doing extra work. The only justification I can imagine for UI this bad is that it encourages you to save your searches (which ostensibly encourages you to repeat those searches). It’s dumb, and it hate it. That being said, my buying experiences with the app have been great.

Sellers Beware. This review is for sellers- use Poshmark or literally any other consignment site. I have sold about $25,000 worth of designer goods on TRR. The last 3 items, they’ve listed at prices substantially lower than what the exact item had sold for the week prior. Hundreds or thousands of dollars difference. I sent an email. No response. Emailed my “account luxury manager” who first ignored me, and then sent me a number to call instead of helping herself. The number of course didn’t help. I emailed again- nothing. The same “account luxury manager” had the audacity to call and ask me to make an appointment to sell my Rolex. As if I would ever sell with this “company” again. Don’t trust them. They will take your things, ignore you when you have an issue with their listing price, and sell the item so quickly that you don’t even have time to get it fixed (because they’re underpriced it so severely). Horribly disappointed in ever having sold anything with them.

Hit or miss.. I’ve ordered from here several times. Typically things are as described. One Prada purse came with broken zipper, it was less of a hassle to buy it again than go through repair process. I continued to buy from TRR, thinking TRR must not have seen zipper was broken. Hit or miss. Then I bought a purse for a little over 400 dollars that was described as “ in good condition “ the purse arrived and it was in unusable condition. There is no possible way anybody would use it. The purse was severely cracked and handle was cracked and shredding. TRR had said the pictures showed cracking. There is no way I would have purchased a purse in that condition especially with the handle cracked and shredded. After long discussion I was told that I can return purse for store credit. I was not told that TRR would deduct approximately half of what I paid over $200 in fees for return which is exactly what they did. Most items I buy on site have been non returnable and they are not inexpensive. I can’t risk my money and just hope I get lucky and item is in good condition and have no true recourse. So I will not be spending my money here anymore.

Don’t bother. I brought boots into a Manhattan location. They took them and explained the whole process. They were so polite and I felt really good about my choice using The RealReal. That’s where the niceties ended. The size was listed incorrectly. Twice. I couldn’t get in touch with anyone. I felt ignored. I finally reach someone to get the merchandise back and now I have to wait a month for it. A month. It will most likely be too late to sell them anywhere else because of the changing seasons. The person who finally got a return going was rude btw. I can’t recommend doing any business with them. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. Pay retail. At least you know what you’re getting and it’s a nice experience. Also when you sell if they offer a discount that comes off your end. You’re lucky to get 5% of the original price back. I did receive my boots back much sooner than expected. And there’s a damaged spot that didn’t exist when I attempted to consign with them. Even more disappointed now

The best - and that’s real!. TRR has redefined sustainability through luxury consigning. In-store they extend that approach to customer service in brick-and-mortar form. I love utilizing all of the services as a consignor, and learning of both the policies for products, and the history of each item. TRR is a place where you can invest, save, make return on past investments, and learn. Other competitors just don’t make the grade. It’s all about sustainability, and in that, we’re able to move even closer to a zero waste model. Shout out to my SA in Marin, CA at the Larkspur location, Michelle and to all those on the virtual Consignor Relations team at TRR HQ, as well as the handbag specialists. Learn the process to know how to make it work for you. Buy, sell, save, invest- come into the cycle for the future of sustainability. All vintage everything.

Pictures blurry and save searches glitch. Previously these were not issues, but with some update the app got worse. I can’t see high quality detailed images easily and every time I try to access my save searches it glitches to only show me half of my searches until I reopen the tab. I actually stopped shopping at therealreal due to my frustration of the app making shopping more difficult than the competitors. If an item is selected from the favorites tab, the images are insanely blurry as if it just zoomed in on the display icon instead of opening the higher resolution images. Even adding to cart and opening from there displays blurry images. Only opening the same item in the saved searches or from a search shows the normal higher resolution images. The saved searches won’t let me scroll to see all my searches anymore in one scroll. Once I reach the bottom of the page I can only see the bottom 3; it stops displaying the ones I just saw and misses any searches between it and the bottom 3. Additionally, when I click a saved search then go back, it start me back at the top and I have to go find where ever I was at before. This is really really annoying because I would check this regularly to see if any item I wanted to purchase was added but this is now useless

Worst customer service - they don’t care about their clients. I’ve been a VIP seller for years with The Real Real - I am extremely unhappy with their customer service and I wonder if they treat their supposed VIPs this way - what about other people. They discount my items without my authority and undersell things even though I have consistently made it clear I don’t want my items prices further reduced. My account rep never texts me back - he could care less - I’ve called several times to resolve issues with my consignments and no one ever gets back to me. I really don’t suggest anyone’s consigns with The Real Real - they are a nightmare to deal with and no one will ever get back to you if you have an issue - even if you are a VIP client like myself. I think the company has the worst customer service and they just don’t make an effort to help their clients at all. Stay clear!!! They are horrible. I’m so frustrated and unhappy with the way they have handled my large account.

Unbearably intrusive sales attempts. I requested to sell on the app but had to discontinue halfway through. I intended to come back until I fully prepared with all the items. However, since then, I've been bombarded with more than 40 texts and voice messages from 5 different sales representatives within just 7 days. They’ve been consistently inquiring about pickup services. Some disregard my time zone and call during the early morning. Maybe their primary app user demographics are those who prefer human interactions. But personally I found that approach being way too intrusive. The mere fact that I initiated the process on the app should have indicated that I was comfortable proceeding without those assistance. And I highly doubt that this level of customer engagement will persist once they determine I'm not a high-value customer. The company needs to take steps to understand and respect the mentality and behaviors of Gen Z?

Buy from here, but Don’t Sell here!!. Items I’ve purchased have almost all been really great. Shipping has been quick, most of the time, and I’ve only ever been truly disappointed with one item. That said, I have consigned a number of items with them, all of which I sent at the same time. I was not given an option or an opinion, on what my items would be listed for; not to mention whether they would be used in a sale, and then 20% off on top for some things... really disappointing. I consigned a nearly new (I wore them 2 times) pair of YSL gladiator sandals, and my consignment check was for $80 for a pair of $650 shoes. A designer monogram tote, was sold in a specific brand sale, and my consignment check was just over $100 for an $800 bag. So, if you’re looking for a good deal, it’s great, but if you’re planning to sell your items, you’re literally only going to get pennies on the dollar for what you spent. Sell it somewhere else!!!

What the point of this app if you can’t buy anything. I’ve never had to work so hard to buy something. I placed an order and the next morning I got an email saying the order had been cancelled. I have no idea why. I did not cancel it. I tried reordering and got a few different error messages, including card decline, which I knew was not the case. My partner tried order under a new account and card, same error message. I emailed customer support, but they take a day to respond to every email, so unless your question can be answered in one email, don’t even bother. I then called, but they told me it was too late in the day for them to help me and that they would call me back. They never did. So after going back and forth with customer service for almost a week via email, I called again. I was on the phone for almost an hour, and nothing was resolved. They did tell me that I should place the order only through chrome, not through the app or another browser. What is the point of an app you can’t purchase through?? Finally I made a new account under a new email, and ordered the item in a different color (with the same card that was being declined on the other order). That finally worked (for now). Who knows, I could get a message tomorrow saying that the order has been cancelled. For a company that touts themselves on luxury and concierge service, this is just embarrassing.

Wish I could give it zero stars.. It’s the worst app and it keeps getting worse. I’ve been a TRR customer for years, and I am hardly ever on my computer so I rely on the app to do my shopping. Once you put an item in your cart, you only have 15 minutes to purchase. No problem. EXCEPT, if you want to buy multiple items from your favorites, the app keeps refreshing so that you lose your place, taking up precious time trying to find where you left off. It’s especially frustrating when you are trying to put a whole outfit together and every time you click on an item and then want to go back to all your favorites, the app takes you back up to the top of your favorites, not where you left off. 2. If you’re just looking at all your favorites and let’s say you’re 15 items down and you click in and out of a photo and the app refreshes, you can have to start all over again to figure out where you left off. 3. Even worse, if you filter least expensive to most expensive, or vice versa, when the app refreshes, your items are no longer in the sorting order you chose. It is absolutely frustrating. 4. I just updated the app and now when I try to filter my items by color, the app has whited out all the colors. It’s a shame that such a great website has an absolutely horrible app when so many people use their phone rather than their computer for shopping.

Some functionality quirks.. I have been shopping on The Realreal for a couple years and overall have enjoyed my experience. There are a couple quirks with how the app works( at least on iPhone) that I wish the team would address. Essentially, the Back button does not function like a true back button. For example: - if I tap Obsessions, tap one of my saved items, tap the designer name and then tap Back, it will return me to the app home page rather than the Obsessions page. -if I execute a search, tap a search item, tap the designer of that item and then tap back, it returns me to the home page rather than to my search results. This especially stinks because I have to re-conduct my search and scroll through the search results to find where I left off.

I love this site and app!!. Overall I love this site and spend hours searching for the perfect item. You can get great deals on designer goods for the fraction of the cost. I have ordered several items, at least 15, and have found most of them to be accurately described and sometimes even better quality then described. However, a few times I received items that were not as described. For example a pair of shoes I purchased were labeled on the site as size 8 and they were actually a size 7. I returned them, stated the reason, and saw them re-appear on the site listing the same wrong size! I've also purchased and returned a sweater that had pulls in it when it was described as in excellent condition. Overall this site is awesome and you can score great deals. I see my friends eyeing my clothes and wondering how the hell I'm affording it all. Shhh it's my little secret!! I would definitely recommend.

terrible customer service, great clothes. Most of my wardrobe is from this site. I love all my finds, but the ui and the customer service is not all there. I bought my literal dream dress— a black lace dress with a beautifully tailored black silk slip underneath. It was pictured with the slip and priced as though the slip was included. However, I received no slip. The dress is lace and completely see-through; I was unable to wear it when I got it. When I contacted customer service, they said they would check with the warehouse. They said this three times over the course of two weeks and didn’t follow up all three times. They said that they could take the dress back (which costs money to send), but I did not want that. This was an important dress to me, and I couldn’t just buy a new one because it is vintage. I wanted the slip or some kind of credit to buy a new one. I paid for a VERY expensive dress that I received HALF of. Customer service never even acknowledged that they never sent me an integral part of the dress that I paid for. I had to purchase a new slip for an expensive dress that should have already had one. Extremely disappointed since I spend so much money on this site and they don’t seem to care about their customers.

Soooo frustrating. I love this company because of their prices and selections, but this app is straight up AWFUL. Anytime I search, sort, refine, then click a product, go back to my search, it refreshes and unsorts, unrefines, and places me back to the top of the site. I lose my place in the search and have to start all ever again (I’m not using any other apps or switching between apps, and I have background app refresh off in case I absolutely have to). It’s so insanely frustrating that sometimes I just give up searching because it’s such a waste of time to redo it all and find my place back down the search. I also have the problem someone else mentioned where when I click a product picture to view it more closely, and the quality is TERRIBLE, even blurry. This deters me from buying stuff because I can’t even see it clearly. Please fix these issues!!!!

Amazing customer service from the top to the bottom very happy. The customer service from the acc manager Jessica to the drive wish I remember there names they were so kind and helpful and Trent at customer service was so helpful Thanks again Jessica T not gonna say ur last name privacy. I want to thank you for making this so easy. Your are going to want to empty your closets and buy from the real real it’s has be beautiful cloths and great pictures. So great job. I am also icustomer service in high demand all the time emails phone. Don’t blow them up she will always get back to you . Just remember these i teams are being shipped being checked in at each way to make sure they get there and then looked over so be patient they are gonna get it done. Thanks you it is a very stressless time you don’t have to waste your time selling i teams answering answering people every detail and not get a sale this dose it for you

DO NOT USE THIS APP. I 100% do not recommend using this app, especially as a seller. I made an account here about a month ago to see if I could sell two pairs of designer shoes I had. I saw that the high commission wasn’t for me, and decided to bring my business elsewhere. A few days later I get an email saying “we got your items!” I was so shocked because I had NEVER sent anything in. They had put someone else’s items on my profile, as if I was the seller. If I wasn’t an honest person, I could have made money off of someone else’s clothes!! I immediately messaged them and requested they remove the items. At first they did not do it, but then they finally removed it. Today, I got a package for them with a sweater I NEVER ORDERED. I don’t know where this sweater came from, but to have such deep disorganization in a marketplace that sells luxury goods is baffling. They sent me someone else’s designer sweater! Waiting for them to do something but this is totally unacceptable.

As a seller & buyer. As a buyer, the real real prices are okay, they do tend to be on point with their product descriptions providing confidence on what you’re buying. The shipping is also fast & secure. I will definitely continue to purchase items from them. As a seller, I don’t recommend at all. I started off with 20 designer pieces to sell, everything went good first two weeks until someone made a return which I had no issue but the refund was taken twice. When I tried reaching out to support to understand why the refund was taken out twice they couldn’t provide me with any answers leaving me with the only option but to take all my items back from them. For example if my payout for the month was $700 after the legit return it should’ve been $600 but it was taken twice so it came out to $500. They couldn’t explain this in any ways possible to me. Huge red flag for me & I didn’t want to leave my items with me if they would play with my money & then not be able to do the math to understand they messed up.

I don’t write review but this is a stand-out app. I have made numerous purchases with The Real Real and have continued to be impressed. I’ve had maybe one piece that smelled a bit like mothballs (it was worryingly low-priced anyway), but nothing has arrived anything short of authentic and as-described. I recently placed an order that didn’t ship out when it was supposed to. I called, was on the phone with a real person within a minute or two, and he offered to expedite the shipping free of charge so I could have the pieces for an event. Some of the most exceptional pieces in my closet have come from here, and I wear them often while other pieces I’ve paid thousands more for stay in the closet next to them. Can’t speak for consigning experience, but have heard good things.

You will be penalized for trying to use your store credit. So my experience with TRR has been extremely frustrating to say the least. I had $75 worth of store credit on my account and I was very excited to make my first purchase, that would’ve hopefully been the first of many. However my order was cancelled just minutes after placing it, not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES after trying to buy the same shirt. After the third cancellation with zero explanation as to why the order kept getting cancelled, I saw that my store credit was not returned to me. I reached out to TRR customer service and was told that my account was flagged for fraud and was under investigation. If I was given some sort of explanation as to why the order couldn’t have been completed, I could’ve corrected the issue on my end. After trying to resolve the same issue for the third time, I was given $25 of store credit back onto my account. I have no respect for a company who provides credit to their customers, and has no intention of reinstating that credit when an error is made on their end. Thank you for making my first time on this platform one of the most infuriating shopping experiences I’ve had.

Love this site so much!. I found this website after I went on an all things “Schitts Creek” binge... I found out that this is where they bought most of the clothing for the show, because it needed to be upscale and authentic without breaking their budget. Ever since, I’ve been hooked. Part of my order was delivered in just 1 day and the clothes far exceeded my expectations! They don’t look used, they look like I bought them at the store today! I’m sure to do my research every time I’m ready to purchase, making sure the quality is up to my standard (if it says moderate pilling or a stain, I usually skip) and I exam the pictures very closely to make sure it looks the same as described. So far, I have not been disappointed. My favorite thing is sifting through the ridiculously low-priced items. I got myself a few great $400 sweaters for what I’d pay for a sweater at H&M! I now plan on redoing my entire wardrobe with pieces from designers I thought I’d only ever dream of owning!

Seller Beware!. This app is designed to accommodate the buyers. As a seller you have little to no say on your items. Photographs condition etc are completely up to TRR. Be prepared that if your item sells the buyer can return it and the window to do so is 14 days. If your item happens to sell without complication you will have to wait till the 15th of the next month to receive payment. Also, be prepared to have your items deeply discounted on a waterfall sale. They start out with automatically dropping the price within a week of your listing going live. (Which it can take them as long as a month to photograph and get onto the website). You will watch as your expensive designer items go from 20%off-80%off. For a buyer its amazing to snag a designer item for a 10th of what its worth. Their commission rate is tiered depending on the listing price so that is a whole other layer. Overall if you sell to TRR keep your expectations low on the whole process and be prepared to basically give your items away!

I’ve tried every app like this and this is number one!!!!. Every purchase I have had has been really easy and I was very comfortable with my very first purchase now that says a lot Imo because nowadays you’ve got company’s scamming people and taking off with everyone’s money but this app is the exact opposite they have the same mottos as I do! What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong!!! I want both parties to walk away happy with the deal! I walked away happy with every deal and I’ve been scammed/robbed alot so I have a hard time trusting anything! You can one hundred percent trust this app/website great service, fast shipping and on point descriptions! Can’t really say anything bad about this app don’t know how it’s not higher on the list!!!!??????!!! Should be top 10 for sure!!!!

Terrible management. I have put a lot of jewelry at TRR and each time I put a lot in there, there is less and less rhyme or reason to how they do anything and price. Makenna who handles my account in Arizona told me I would get 75% when she collected my last two batches of jewelry. I should be at a minimum of 70% and TRR is all over the board with my percentages. Makenna doesn’t text back or return calls as this is my fourth time contacting her. When I called in, the people that are answering the phone have no knowledge of anything and then they tell me all management is not in? I know this is a public company and should be a concern for all stockholders. I had hoped management would have changed by now, but do not see that is the case.I would consider me a great consignor and the customer service has been anything but poor. I am frustrated and tired of sitting on hold to get no answers by the people that work there and have no training.

How the great has fallen. I used to be an avid RealReal consignor and shopper. I am a VIP seller. I no longer sell on the site. The greedy change in the commission, the constant mistakes in undervaluing my consignments and the “experts” listing and photographing women’s items and men’s and men’s items as women's. It doesn’t take a degree in fashion to see a men’s Dolce & GABBANA tuxedo isn’t not a women’s “pantsuit” and should not be photographed on a female mannequin. The size label, fly and rise in the pants and where the buttons are place. The same is true for three of my Loro Piana women’s sweaters that are listed and photographed as men’s. It’s been two weeks since I spoke yo my rep and it’s are still not corrected. The same issues hold true as a shopper. Prices have gone too far up, promotions to shop are less often. When I have made a purchase, 80% of the time the item had a problem such as wrong, wrong measurements as incorrect description. I always take the time to point out the problems do the next buyer doesn’t have ye same issue and the consigners item isn’t constantly being purchased and retuned thus selling for less. The piece always get immediately re listed. Speed wins over attention to detail. Shame on the people running the RealReal. Your reputation as luxury consignment shop is no longer accurate.

Amazing. I personally love this app for buying designer items. Since so many people use this app you may be able to see a few of the same items. So if one item already sold, there may be another one waiting for you. The only complaint I have is that you can’t talk to the seller to negotiate the price. In the app each item has a starting price, and as long as that starting price stays the same you can get a 20% discount, but if the seller drops the price, that 20% discount goes away. Sometimes it can be really frustrating when the seller drops the price by only a small amount, because you would’ve gotten a better deal if they hadn’t dropped it. Other than that, the app is great, you never have to worry about buying something fake.

I get to dress and feel really nice! Thanks TRR. I have spent years selling my clothing, shoes and handbags, all designer, on several sites. I never thought I would BUY resale until TRR changed my mind. I’m reading about them selling non authentic goods or poor customer service and I don’t understand where this is coming from. I am very astute at recognizing the real from fakes and everything I’ve ever purchased has been clean, authentic and in excellent condition. This is the only place I buy 2nd time around designer goods because I trust them. I visit the store frequently in LA and it’s a beautiful boutique with some amazing pieces. I can easily find anything I’m looking for from the easy to navigate website and I trust their authenticity. Their staff is very knowledgeable and they love what they do and are very good at their job. The descriptions are accurate and I feel I can buy with confidence. I’m so happy you’re here TRR. You’ve made wearing really nice things very accessible.

Buyer AND consigner. I’ve never consigned before and I’m lazy-ish, so while I guess I’m not completely maximizing value at TRR I really like that they pick up your consignments from your doorstep and I’ve unloaded a ton of old stuff for store credit (probably the best option) that I otherwise would have just held onto or donated. And I’ve gotten a TON of store credit for stuff I bought years ago on consignment!! Also, eBay is kind of a pain to sell on (like I said, I’m lazy and I hate shipping stuff on a deadline and having the condition ultra scrutinized and argued over). Now, as far as my purchases, holy heck!! I have completely overhauled my wardrobe and pretty much upgraded everything to designer. I’ve gotten GORGEOUS things and if you search less popular brands you can get steals (beautiful Italian trousers for $15 and flats for $40, umm yes please). Just make sure you are diligent about returning stuff you can’t fit into (I find sizing a little risky since you might not know the brands that well—like since when have I even tried on a Balmain skirt ever in my life?).

Amazing finds!. I absolutely love TRR. I haven’t consigned with them but as a customer, I find such amazing pieces for a fraction of their retail price. The only reason that I give 4 instead of 5 stars is because shipping should be covered for returnable items: like I would pay the shipping to receive them but they would come with a return label. I think it would help sell more. Customers are more likely to keep the things they buy online than they are to go back for items that they hesitated to purchase. I don’t take as many risks with things I’m not sure will fit because paying the return shipping adds up! Today I purchased two pairs of shoes but really would have gotten 4 if they came with a return shipping label. Especially because I’m in Hawaii and shipping is expensive! Just my two cents ;)

Easy but need more. Super easy to use especially for browsing and buying but no other support. The 'Account' tab does not include past purchases, no 'Return' tab to organise returns, the 'Obsessions' tab has no options to exclude sold items. The 'feeds' is not optimised as it is too complicated to use.

Customer service pathetic. Tried to buy a Dior hat, no size listed. Contacted staff via chat. Told me they would get back to me. Never did. Sent an email. No reply. Sent another email no reply again. Contacted again via chat. told they would get back to me. Never did. Contacted staff via chat again, they gave me the radius or diameter, I told them I need the circumference. Promised to get back to me again. About a month later and I still don’t know the size. This should have been listed with the product all along just like Dior does. I’d hate to have actually bought from them and had a problem if this is their customer service

Latest update keeps closing. Downloaded latest update. Shuts shuts down while it's loading. Please fix this bug as I love shopping at your site

Tracy in Australia!. I'm in Australia & discovered this app quite a while before anyone outside the US could buy from it, then they let me become a member...BRILLIANT!!! Postage always very quick, items always as described! An absolutely solid app and one of the easiest to navigate! I'm hooked for life, haven't brought anything new since I joined... Happy, happy camper indeed!!!

My TRR GONE. Taking away the My TRR tab gives me a good reason to not bother coming back. They’re forcing me to start a new search every time. I’m looking for specific items. Clearly they want me to impulse buy. My impulse is to go where I can find what I want.

Express checkout needs work. I just placed this order through the app and it never gave me the chance to look at or update my payment details or my address that were apparently stored during checkout. I no longer live at that address and it was using the wrong credit card! There is also no way I could see to update these details through the app. Now a stranger is going to get my order and I don’t know how to get it back

So-so. I bought quite a few items, but in the end, when I looked at, I only really liked about 40%. Every designer has duds. Like Prada velvet heels—looked good in photo, but when they came. Did not look like impressive. Not anything I would buy normally. And either not returnable or postage too high from Australia. Ok for scarves but anything else I’d give a miss

Five stars. Best services

Ms. Reliable: efficient, easily tailored to search. Response very swift. Worth downloading.

cant log in. app is literally useless cant log in via social media nor standard email + password method

Why so expensive?!?. This app is great but when I went to the bags You are still having to pay a lot of money... I mean I would recommend but don’t get to carried away.

Anne in Australia. Love buying from the real real , I always find what I want reasonable price , the only problem I have is the shipping price I find it expensive, and if the product doesn’t fit I have to sent it back another charge, I have to be very careful when I’m choosing now , overall I’m satisfied and reaching with the staff at real real is prompt , I had no problem at all , one other thing to add you not doing the if I bought over 1000 get the deal 🤗

App is awesome. The app is even better to navigate than the website. I’ve bought a couple of things and am so impressed!

Addictive!. This app (and store) is addictive. Beware. Very user friendly (easy checkout) and always new markdowns. A+

Great way to shop for luxury goods. Prompt shipping and quality shopping! Grab a BARGIN with this easy to use app.

A dream. For someone who loves and respects quality products but can’t afford the habit this app is a dream. Postage to Australia kills me but is so worth it. Never taken more than 7 days to receive a package even at the height of COVID delay chaos.

Takes forever to ship. One of the items won’t ship and the customer service people keep telling me to wait 48 hours for a new update. I’ve spoke to 4 people within a week and they all gave me the same response rather than tried to solve the issue. Really unhelpful and disappointing robotic-like service….

Yessss. the best for consigned luxury !

Constant log in errors. In the past few weeks it’s been impossible to log in via email or any social login option (I’ve tried them all). As you can only browse once you’re logged in - the app is now useless and I had to delete it to be able to use the website on my phone without constantly being redirected.

The Ease of Shopping on the TRR App. I have used TRR App many times, as you are never at a PC when need to buy those perfect shoes. I love this app it is intuitive and easy to use. Takes only a few seconds to purchase, I definitely recommend!! :)

Amazing. Addictive.. This app is so good. Loving it.

Authentic or fake!?. Are the items (clothing ect) really authentic?? It's hard to believe they are!!

Love it. Great App to find second hand designer stuff for a fantastic price. Shipping is very quick and return policy is great. Keep an eye out to their promo code in the first page too right.

Love the app. The only improvement we it's be to stretch the pics for a closer look without actually going in to click on the item Easy to purchase

Fabulous!. Fast, easy and convenient shopping. Express shipping and payment is processed instantly. Love the products, love the app!!!

Love it!. The easiest shopping experience ever. Couldn't be more of a breeze to browse and shop. The dust bag makes everything feel like new.

New updates are bad. App runs slower. Impossible to find saved searches. The new update makes this harder to use.

Great quality & prices. I love shopping through therealreal the app is so easy to use and the items are spectacular!

I love it. I got few things I wanted badly because they sent me email it was in sale or back in stock, super!

Absolutely Fake and Scamming. The most worst website or app, seems very fake and scamming.Claiming such less prices and trapping the customers, when asks for refund they play games, we forwarded to the team, the team will respond to you, but in truth every thing is fake and scam. Please and please do not buy anything on this website. All the good rating is given by their own workers and they are all fake reviews. I purchased a watch and asked for refund before it gets shipped to me ,but they started playing games as they need the courier service to return the item and they process the refund which eventually haven’t happened by the time I were writing this review. PURELY ORGANISED FAKE AND SCAM WEBSITE. PLEASE STAY OUT OF IT.

Great App. Makes it very easy to search and refine results. Shopping this unbelievable website has never been easier. Dangerous for the wallet!!

Track order. Great app but can not track my purchase or credit through the app, have to log in on browser to check the status of my purchase, please add this feature to this app. Thank you

🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂. I found nothing interesting then I deleted this app, they send five emails per day 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

Charged my credit card way more. Absolutely terrible customer service; they don’t respond to questions/comments. The purchase amount I agreed to pay at time of purchase was much lower than what was taken from my Visa. Won’t shop here again.

Dishonest business, almost fraud. Marked as new with tag, received item has stain and wear sign, button was tear off. They agree to accept return and give full refund. After they received the item, they refund as site credit only and deducted shipping. We lost money from their cheating. Whatever you will see here, it is not worth your money and time. They post brand new product photo only, not what you will receive. It is a business fraud!

My new obsession, but..... I am obsessed with cruising the items but placing an order is hard because sizing and measurements are often contradictory. How is a Large sized dress able to have a 24” waist and 28” hips for example. So much of the clothing thing have poor sizing details. They also need to improve their photos of dark and black clothing.

Great shopping experience. I'm new to TheRealReal, but I am very impressed with the app and their buying experience. I will keep coming back, for sure ... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Terrible. I bought two items from trr. A supreme hoodie (200C$+)and a Raf Samons backpack. The delivering fee is extremely high which is 40Canadian dollars and I have to pay the fee which is 80dollars. At the moment I opened the box, there only a hoodie in it. Which means the second-handed hoodie is 320c$. And i don’t know why the price tag in this item is 144$ and someone used black mark pen to cover it. I sent the email to ask them and it’s been a day without any reply. Until now, I haven’t received the backpack. I would like to say that the app is good for domestic customers and not friendly to international customers. Won’t buy anything from here in the future. Terrible online shopping experience ever :(

The worst possible customer service. They’re super disorganized and I can’t count how many errors were made in the handling of my consignments. 1) They sent me a shipping label for a country other than the one in which I am located, and the parcel I had taken to UPS was denied, and I had to take it home and wait for them to issue me a new label. 2) They straight up lost a Gucci necklace I sent to them and just straight up didn’t mention it to me. I had to contact a service rep to even get a case opened about it. 3) The consignment agent I was assigned just straight up stopped responding to my calls and texts midway through the consigning process and no one has explained anything to me about it. Did she get fired? Am I no longer eligible for an agent now that TRR has my items? 4) I recently got a pop-up telling me I had a discount code I could use on the app, and when the code didn’t work, I contacted customer service, providing a screen cap of the pop up. They told me they needed a screen cap of not just the discount code offer, but the offer on a screen where my email ID was visible, otherwise they would assume I was lying. It’s now time for me to be paid for the items I sent them a few months ago, and they’ve just rolled out a new policy where if you don’t have a bank account in the US, you have to pay $10 (!!!!) each month to have a cheque mailed to you. I only made $14 this month. So… Please avoid this terrible app/site. The Real Real doesn’t care about you. They don’t care about me. Anytime I go to them for help, their customer service team says stuff like: "it CLEARLY says right on the pop-up…" Just garbage service. Please do yourself a favour and consign with your local thrift shop. 🤍

Inaccurate listings, don’t trust what’s listed. I purchased an item from this app that was inaccurately listed as being from a designer label. The listing also said the item was in excellent condition. When the item arrived it turned out to be the diffusion line, not the designer label. There is a very big difference in price and quality between the designer label and the diffusion line. Additionally, a large button on the item was mostly broken off, which was not indicated in the listing at all. I would not order from this website as you cannot trust the listings and they won’t help you if the listing is wrong. Do they even know the difference between a designer label and the diffusion line? It seems that they don’t, even though they market themselves as experts who can vouch for the legitimacy of designer items. You also have to pay a huge shipping fee and duties, which you can’t get refunded if there is something wrong with your purchase. So even if you return something you’re throwing this money down the drain. Overall this experience is just not worth it

Good selection, great prices. I have purchased several dresses and shoes through the app. All come in their own dust bag and have been in great condition. Returns are easy. A few items were similar to my local designer consignment for less than 1/3 of the price. E.g. Akris dress, new with tags ($1600), for $99. Many items go on sale with a code for further discounts. It’s fun to watch for items in my size that I might wear.

Amazing authentic quality. As a first time client I was a little weary on the quality. I was shocked to find my first shoe purchase so clean and well packaged especially during this time with Covid-19, I was expecting less attention to detail. I am hooked and have just placed my second clothing order! Love!!

I used to like shopping on this website!. When I first started shopping TRR. It was great. Shoes, bags.etc were good deals. Brand name slightly used but in great condition and prices were reasonable. Now I find the prices are way too high. Especially being Canadian and having to pay duty and taxes on top of the price. It’s cheaper to buy the item brand new here at home than to buy it for more on TRR used. Just my opinion.

Good but could be better. Good app and a great site but would like to be able to refine by more options such as condition of item and construction material.

Scam. They sell you things that don’t look anything like the picture which you incur ridiculous COD charges on and then they don’t compensate you for the charges incurred because of their misleading/fraudulent depiction of items. Support does not have basic reading comprehension skills. Terrible experience.

Annoying. Forced to update!

Vanity. If you are vain, self conscious and completely full of yourself this app is for you!

Ok, not as good as other luxury consignment apps. You can find some steals on here, but I find that they don’t show the true quality of the items in the pictures. For example a pair of boots I bought conveniently did not picture one half of them, and they arrived heavily scuffed. I also wish they were more transparent with the cost of additional duties and taxes like other apps are. If you live outside of the US then it will cost at least $100-150 more than the listed price.

Easy browsing. Great way to catch the launch of new sales when I'm on the go!

easy to use and quick. finally found the pants i ve been searching. 25$ first purchase coupon in top. i get constant updates on my package and the app is easy to use.

The new update is terrible. The saved searches went missing, then they reappeared, and now their missing again. So unreliable and unhelpful

Helpful customer service. Just had the best customer service experience with Jermaine from the Madison Avenue store in NYC! She went above and beyond to help me purchase a handbag, made the experience and purchase so easy especially since I am visiting nyc from out of town!

Charged wrong currency on credit card. Be careful -net price online was 500$ cdn. When payment was completed they charged me 500$ US - (around 750$ cdn) - add the duty of 200$... 950$ doesn’t worth it for a pre-owned pair of shoes. I called Customer service and provided all the proof and they refused to correct the error. Never again.

Worst customer service. I ordered an item to Canada not realizing I’d be paying +50% of the value of the item in extra shipping and fees. It would have been almost the same price to just buy new. And, their customer service team was horrible - took 30 minutes of waiting for them to tell me I should have known before buying. Will not be shopping with them again.

Check your products. I encourage anyone who orders from here to check your products thoroughly and compare them to the order you made. I ordered one particular item and they sent me something that wasn’t even the same colour or material. When I reached out to customer service they told they will look into it and I still have not heard back from them. Make sure your products are what you actually pay for.

If buying in Canada be sure about your purchase. I bought 3 items from TRR and had to return one. By the time they all arrived in Canada, I had about a day’s turnaround to ship the one item back based on the store policy that you have 21 days from date SHIPPED to get the item back to the store. It took a really long time for my items to arrive (perhaps because it was around Christmas) and it cost me over $30 CAD to return that item because I expedited it (and it was bulky). HAVING SAID ALL THAT I am super happy with the 2 items I kept. I can’t buy anything like them here. I’ll buy from TRR again. They have an incredible selection.

Awesome. Great customer service, awesome return policy, all my items have been amazing!

Too many errors to be functional. Every time new items drop at 10am and 7pm, I get errors and have to re-sign in multiple times to be able to view the new items, and this takes up so much time that I miss out on buying the things I want. Totally useless app, stick to the desktop version.

Wow. This app makes buying pre loved clothing a breeze. Even with the shipping and duties into Canada, I’m paying a fraction of the price I would locally. Huge selection. Support second hand and get incredible quality too!

Real Real Great. They send a few too many notifications but aside from that, I always find something great and it’s fantastically easy to scroll through, order and pay.

Very good. I’m hooked ... so much variety ... I love it

quality.. received multiple items from here and the care quality and customer service is outstanding.

Jewelry.... I found several lovely pieces at an awesome price. I enjoy checking things out !

Love it!. Got hocked on the minute sign up!

Addicted in the best way. Finally shopping second hand clothing is a fun experience!

Great value. Even with the exchange, there is great value.

Fantastic, easy-to-navigate app. This is a great app for shopping designer deals. I like that it's easy to navigate back and forth from the menu to specific items. The settings also let you select sizing for shoes and clothing, which are automatically applied to the various sales. It's convenient and saves time from having to select item sizing for each sale. This is the best shopping app that I've seen do far!

Amazing!. Absolutely love the quality products. Everything is authentic and there is amazing variety. I would highly recommend checking out this app!

Several purchases no complaints. I have made several purchases over the past several years. All were authentic, and exactly the condition and quality stated on the site. Do know there could be duty on some items, take this into consideration before you purchase, but for me not a deal breaker at the time. 5 stars

User friendly. Very easy to use. I love it!

Do not use your Apple ID to create an account!. I created an account using my Apple ID, and now that I have sent in an Yves St Laurent purse (*that I BOUGHT from TRR and NEVER USED), I cannot switch the email address from the private I.d. email assigned from Apple to a usable email account so I can set up a direct form of payment rather than simply take a store credit when the item sells. I have gone around and around with someone who finally stopped responding to me and can prove my account security but they won’t budge on unlocking my account so I can change the email address and letting me change my own settings through the app OR on the desktop. What gives!? Caveat emptor! Now they have my Yves St. Laurent purse and who knows if I will ever see the money for it. I wish I had never done the transaction with them.

UPDATE WHAT INAM TELLING U, PL!!. - Timing is getting annoying, if I try to put 20 items on my bag, you should stop showing the timing, it is a bad sales technics. What you can do is open a bottom for people to save the bag for 2 hours or something like that. - When I try to delete some items from my card, I have to do it item by item, but a better option is open a “box” to select as much I want, we can change our minds, you know?! - Increase te way we need to select the size we want ( here when we select the size the ideal would be it update the page since we are changing it, also the bottom “update” isn’t working well. - You also could increase the sale posting a page with “flash sale” where you find really good deals but it is to buy just for about 5h, and after it back to the real price. - Why the products I buy from China come to San Francisco really fast and things I buy here takes so long? Also (they give us free shipping if we are buying up just to 50$ 😬! For now, is it, but I will still using and come back here if needed. If you want talk about it, here is my LinkedIn: Tatiana Novakovic. 😌

Designer at amazing prices. This has been my go to site for years. I've been a loyal customer since 2014. I love how easy it is to shop, that each item is certified to be designer, they have drop off authenticators in most major cities, and how you can customize your sizes and always apply them to your queries. Now they even have Afterpay! The only thing I wish they would add is a way to sort by condition of the product. Other than that, I'm in love and will continue to find my designer deals on the real real.

Worth the Hype. I am an avid jewelry collector. Most of my pieces are from the RealReal. I’ve paid a fraction of the price I would have paid for my jewelry if I bought it retail. The range of the types of jewelry they sell is AMAZING. For earring in particular. My ears are super sensitive and can only tolerate Sterling silver of gold. I’ve been able to get multiple pairs of silver and gold earring for a serious STEAL. I’m also very impressed with their standards shipping speed. Sometimes things are slow to ship if you order something at a busy time of year (like the holidays) but generally I’ve gotten my purchases within a week of ordering them.

Needs fine tuning. I like the app and I love the company and what it’s doing with fashion, having had a background in consignment fashion myself. But with my background comes an eye for details the app and site lack, such as 1) more photos that highlight every side, feature, and singular part of the bag 2) efficient quality photos that are not blurry and depict the exact quality the item presents 3) better descriptions of the items and functionality 4) consistent descriptions of wear, they’re not uniform. The app itself is good however I still feel as though it’s not 100# efficient

They sell fake. Do your research on the brand before buying. This is my first time to a review of any sort, because I’m so disappointed in dishonest business. Not everyone takes the time to learn what a fake looks like, even though they’re willing to pay the price for luxury items... I bought Berluti sandals from this website, and I was very lucky to own the same thing in smaller size. From the size difference to the color, I listed 7 proofs of non-authenticity on a piece of paper and returned the shoes with it. I talked to a customer rep as well. When they received the package, they refunded me ... and reposted the shoes. I was sooo frustrated, I called to have the ad removed before the next customer is fooled. Their website lists a bunch of authenticity experts by brand; it seems to be all made up. I’m warning you: if you don’t know how to spot the counterfeit of a brand, DO NOT buy from TRR.

Will not do business with them again!!. I decided to do a consignment with the Real Real and sent a item in to be sold it was accepted and that was the last thing I heard from them!! It’s been a month and a half and I haven’t heard anything about my item!! It hasn’t been listed or sold !! So where is it !!! It was brand new never worn item!! Until a few days ago Someone reached out to me and informed me that the person handling my account was no longer employed there!! Ok well where is my item or my Money for the item!! They wanted me to send more in !! So I emailed them and said “wait “ you haven’t told me about my first item that hasn’t been sold!! WHERE IS IT?? I’m still waiting on information!! I WILL NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN!! I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF!! SEND ME BACK MY ITEM AND I WILL GO TO POSHMARK!! DO NOT SEND EVERYTHING TO THEM TO SELL!! SELLER’S BEWARE!!

So disappointed.. I initially raved to all of my friends and family about TRR. I’ve made several handbag purchases and was always pleased. Until I did my first consignment. I purchased a Prada bag and I didn’t like it. I never carried it. It was placed directly back in the dust bag and box the day it arrived. I was going to sell it to an individual and then thought, why not consign it!? So I read the guidelines, followed all directions, and shipped the bag. About 2 weeks later I get a notice that it has been denied and is being sent back to me. The reason was, “could not authenticate “. Uhhhh......so you SOLD me a bag that you now can’t authenticate?! After reaching out to them numerous times, I was assured over and over that this would get resolved. I finally just gave up. Super disappointed. Not making any future purchases and certainly not recommending them again.

Beware of Fakes, Consign Elsewhere. Two handbags I have purchased through The RealReal have been fakes. Not a good indication that their authentication process is as rigorous as claimed. Today I received a Chloé bag that had zero labels or tags inside.. what it did have are the words Cheng Xing inscribed on the snap closure & a single blurry Chloé stamp on the top handle hardware. What a joke! Updated review: Lowering to 1 star after my first consignment with TRR. I sent about 20 items, they reduce pricing quickly which I expected. After a few months I had three items left at 60% off, and I decided to ask for return of those items because I knew they would sell elsewhere. T&C says return within 30 days. I have followed up 3 times after that thirty day period & am still waiting for them to ship my items back. Don’t consign unless you would otherwise be donating. There are so many other great resale apps.

Never gets things for men much. The selection of TRUE high end brands available on TRR is so slim it’s just useless. I am no longer going to waste the 10 mins every other day I check this app for the few things I’m in search for. Two Ugg things and 4 Prada things I am in search of but even though they have gotten the exact item in one single time in the wrong size. I know TRR is only able to have what the people send them that they don’t want but geez they can’t seem to convince anyone to send actual high end items to them unless they’re like crazy expensive. I thought TRR was going to be a real boon but it’s just fizzled into a selection of the junk no one wants and far over priced high used and basically unusable level too almost ready to be thrown away.

Terrible for sellers. Don't use this site to sell your luxury items. There is no transparency as to your starting price point ( and therefore your commission.)Also, their authentication process is often inaccurate... causing untold time& frustration for both buyers & sellers. Additionally, the " consign 20 items and get $200 site credit " is false advertising. I consigned 23 items that were brand new/ with tags & retailed for $200 to $2100 each, and they rejected 3 items and changed the date of a fourth to the first of the next month ( even though they were all sent in the same box and I have tracking proof of the date of receipt.) As a result, I only had 19 qualified people items & did not get $200 site credit as advertised. Read the customer complaints at the Better Business Bureau. You will see my experience is NOT unique.

The worst of the worst.. Let me share my story. I had an account since 2017 never ordered anything. Everything was cool. I ordered an item in Dec of 2022. Came out fine gréât. For valentines I was trying to place an order, all my cards declined( completely worked with other merchants) ok weird. A week later I tried to place another order it still declined. I checked everything and there was no issues with my cards. I went ahead requested my account to be deleted. Created another account ordered the same items (3000$) went through with the same card the other account was declining. Ok cool Im waiting. They CANCEL all my three orders stating I have multiple accounts (having debited my account of the money) they now claim it will be refunded. So now I can’t order and I can’t do anything it’s absolutely outrageous. Never again

Complete scam. I listed a pair of limited edition Christian Louboutin heels on the website that I had never even worn, only tried on once. I bought these for $1,095 and little did I know that I would be making an incredibly low amount of money after selling them. First of all, they put them on SALE as if they were dirty and old! Second of all, these were apart of the 2022 collection and are no longer sold on the website, so there for they are exclusive. They listed them at a low amount to begin with, then put them on sale to an even lower amount, and then they only gave me about $250. This is absurd and I would not recommend selling ALMOST BRAND NEW ITEMS on this website if you have absolutely no desire to make any sort of profit whatsoever. 0/10 tbh. This is not the real real, its the real rip off!!!! :(

Realreal shady! Check your receipts. I’ll be honest, I’ve found some gems. And then once I got a pair of shoes covered in black mold. But my real concern is that there’s something glitchy about their website where the order total changes depending on what order you put items into the basket. One order with three items, added to basket in different sequences, resulted in a ~$45 price difference. There’s no reason why it would have happened - not tax, not shipping - but because of the way they subtract “markdowns” (aka sale prices) AFTER the cart total has been calculated, it can make these discrepancies somewhat difficult to catch. Double-check your receipts and remember, the BBB and the FTC is just one click away….

Lei/Misleading about consignment. I purchased brand new items from the website and needed to consign them right away (because they didn’t look the way they did in the photos)- but although I had previously been told that any items that still had the tags on and were purchased from trr would be accepted - these items weren’t. It should say when you buy an item if it will not be eligible for consignment or not. Instead there are a thousand emails telling you to consign things and a button next to the items (they they didn’t accept) on the app telling you that you can consign them. I feel like it was intentionally misleading. I wouldn’t have purchased something that I didn’t think I could at least consign if not return.

BEST APP EVER. I love designer brands and also a good deal! This app combines them both. They give great discounts on awesome clothes. It’s also a green company, they make sure the goods are authentic and of quality so you’re not being wasteful with cheap stuff. Recycling clothing and thrifting is awesome, but the RealReal takes that to a whole other level. I have some Lord Piana coming today, and in the past I’ve bought Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo and much more for under $200! It’s one of those websites where you can spend money and feel great about what you’re buying. If I could rate it a thousand stars I would.

Bundle Feature. I would LOVE a bundle feature where you could keep making purchases over a week but combine shipping. And free shipping over a certain total would be nice too. The 20 minute hold is fine but I have had frustrating moments in the past where something else great pops up an hour later but not wanting to pay double shipping. I’d order a lot more if you could do a bundle similar to what poshmarks model is. Also would be nice to get push notifications through the app for things we want to be notified up - things back in stock or new items from certain brands.

So easy to browse, shop, buy, and track order!. Love the app! You can find amazing deals on fantastic sartorial items at any time of day. TRR really is a game changer in that way. I like that you can “heart” things that catch your fancy and then refer back to them later. The only complaint I have is that when you are browsing through your saved likes, when you try to go back to what you were looking at before, it takes all the way to the top of your liked items list and then you gotta scroll up back to the last item you were looking at. Time waster. Or at least that’s what happens on my iphone 8p.

Do Not Recommend. I do not recommend. The two times I have made a purchase, I have bad issues. I called to customer service and I got hung up on twice.... I was trying to explain my situation and they were very rude. Not only was it very hard to understand their accents. I could tell that I was throwing them off their scripts because I was put on hold several times, my questions were never answered, I was told different things, and neither were able to help me out. I will probably not buy from The Real Real again given that I always have a problem with my order and customer care is rude. This has come to be a complete waste of time and false hopes of buying things through your company. Not to mention the app is super glitchy, and navigating through it by yourself is hard.

The Real Real Palm Beach Worth Avenue. Phillip (our lead Sales person) and the entire Sales team (Managers et al, etc) at The Real Real Palm Beach along with front & back office support persons are consistently knowledgeable, well trained and overall exceedingly professional. All regularly exceed expectations, and are always a pleasure to interact with and transact with principally because of their integrity of process and product knowledge of high dollar items. Thank you to all at The Real Real Palm Beach for your attention and consideration to our wants & requests.

Good app, mediocre business. Despite the high shipping cost, I do like shopping on the app. I did have an issue with an order of mine where I was overcharged and the customer service was not good and the problem was not resolved, meaning I had to go through my credit card company. However, from the sellers side it is a total nightmare. I sent multiple items in to sell and never received a confirmation email or anything. I never heard anything from them even once I could see my own items listed on the sight for sale! They were not linked to my account and it took a lot to get that fixed. If I hadn’t put in the work I wouldn’t have received payment on any of those sales. Very annoying.

Incorrect Commission. Today I received an incorrect commission and now need to “fight” in order to get the correct amount. I have had a number of previous items lost by TRR and the commission error isn’t the first time this has happened. To top it off, I received someone else’s order without any paperwork and when I brought the is to TRR attention, they said just donate or toss it away; this is someone order and I’m totally surprised with how customer service handled this. Customer Service is not what it used to be when I first began OMg with TRR. Having to “fight” to get the proper commission amount or to just accept that TRR has lost an item isn’t professional and I’m sad to see how the company has gone down hill when it comes to quality of this company.

Love the Real Real!. I heard about this store through a few commercials when they first opened but never got around to checking them out. It wasn’t until I was scammed over a LV wallet back in April that I decided to see what this store had to offer. I have since then found some neat and otherwise unobtainable items through their app, (whether they may be discontinued or out of season) and I am forever obsessed! I have my eye on a few “obsessions” items on the website as we speak but I just made my third purchase since downloading the app two months ago and I’m not only happy with my purchases but thrilled to see what neat and or rare item I can find next!

Do not use to sell jewelry!. I sent them 3 rings. One engagement and 2 wedding bands. They said they wouldn’t accept my engagement ring because a stone was missing. Which didn’t make sense to be because when I sent my ring it was in perfect condition. My ex only wore it for less than a month. I wish I could attach pictures because I took pictures before hand to sell on OfferUp. Also, I’ve had the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Can’t get them to write or call me back. I emailed them 4 times, all to different people and a general email. No response. They also notified me via email telling me they sold one of my rings, I got on the app to find out for how much and both are still for sale. Not sure what happened there.

My TRR ruined in last update. I use this app all the time but this last update for my iPad has made it impossible for me to view my saved searches easily in the My TRR list. The product images are now so huge that I can’t see the full image with the description and prices on one screen and it takes forever to scroll through the images whereas before the update I could do super quick views through thumbnail-like images. What happened? I used to be able to quickly view my TRR saved searches so fast. Now it is taking me ten times as long. This is really hindering my ability to shop using this app. I love this site and want to be able to use the app. Maybe there is something I can do in settings to fix?

Easy to use. I like shopping apps that have a good back button. It’s annoying to pick an item, then when you try to go back to where you were on the page, it takes you to the beginning of the page. Maybe they think a shopper likes looking at things they’ve already looked at…not. It makes me want to go do something else. TRR is user friendly. Wish there was a way to alert you when an item you like goes to a certain price or %off. Usually the items are described accurately with regard to condition and size. Only had a few that were off. Overall, it’s a good app.

Please fix the app!. 2 issues with the app: 1. For months now, it has not been possible to add new designers to my saved searches if I have to search for the designer. You can only select the designer if the designer is already in the limited drop down list. If you must search for the designer within the saved searches, you cannot select it. 2. The app seemingly cannot handle traffic well, because whenever I sign on, after about a minute of browsing, pages stop loading and I must restart the app and log back in several times before I can resume browsing.

Glitches & Bad Comm. I won’t dig too deep into my complaints about the company overall, since this is the place for reviewing the app, but the bottom line is they are both genuinely an issue. The app itself is slow and glitchy for both browsing items and checking on your sales. Even with updated preferences, communication is faulty. I never received notice when my items were accepted, or for how much they would be listed, or if it sold, or if anyone returned an item. I had to find out by logging into the slow app. Customer service through the app, while quick via text, follows the same culture of not clearly and efficiently communicating for clarification with you on the issues being addressed. Spare yourself stress and insane losses (because prices are a rip off when consigning) and just go to Poshmark.

Inauthentic item- buyer beware. I have purchased from the site for a few years, the prices seemed most reasonable. The description of items has been off multiple times where significant stains are referred to as ‘marks’ which sometimes made the item unwearable. Many items can not be returned (and that’s my fault for not looking thoroughly before purchasing). The last purchase I made I bought an Ulla Johnson dress, which stated it was silk with silk liner. The dress had no liner and the fabric felt like a scratchy jute bag- not silk in the slightest. I did return the dress and marked it as INAUTHENTIC, however it was BACK UP ON THE SITE FOR SALE, even before my refund was processed! The response from them was canned- items are authenticated by machine learning AI. So beware of just TRUSTING that the items are authentic or authenticated- certainly not by a person.

WORST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE. I sent 19 items to the real real, including Gucci Louboutin, Balmain, All Saints, Michael, Kors, etc. etc. They priced a $3000 brand new with tags Balmain dress grossly under value at only a few hundred dollars, and my near perfect condition Louboutin‘s at only a couple hundred dollars as well. They were both sold within about a day which point my total commission should’ve been $590. However, the payment that was reportedly sent to me was only in the amount of just over $392, and never arrived at all. After realizing how undervalued they priced my items that I requested the remaining 17 items back, but apparently they LOST every single one of them. Now, I am out all 19 of my luxury high value items without a single cent to show for it. I consider this fraud and theft. At this point, I’m ready to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the police report. Do not fall for the SCAM. I don’t know how they have been operating this long, but I have never dealt with such an unprofessional consignment company in my entire life. You send them all of your high ticket luxury clothing, purses, and shoes, and they flat out will steal them from you.

Pretty good experience. Sometimes they get the description wrong even though you wrote it down. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get TRR to change a description! That needs to be corrected, otherwise the item will just keep getting returned, price lowered, and sit there forever. By the time the description is finally changed, it's reduced to 40% off! Nobody wins. I think TRR should edit better, describe better, measure better. Edit, edit, edit! Don't accept everything, don't accept inferior items. Just wastes everyone's time. Still until something better comes along, this is it.

HOOKED!. WOW! All I can say is the most fun I’ve had on a shopping app was with Groupon. Why? Because he have to sift through a ton of junk to find a rare gem (always compare Groupon’s prices to Amazon’s before purchasing). HOWEVER!!!! THE REAL REAL is cRaZY fun!! The app is RIFE with thousands of consignment high end products at prices that will surely make you a skeptic. So far I have purchased a Versace bag and a diamond ring. Both FAR exceeded my expectations.... I mean FAR. I had the ring appraised to ensure it was really a diamond and not a Moissanite and the bag checked for authenticity. Only now am I’m coming back to review. This app is so addictive, I worry about my bank account. Lol. No, I’m not joking. 8-)

Don’t consign here. I’ve had a generally disappointing experience with TRR - wild inconsistencies…across pricing , customer service, discounting, et al…and I question how “expert” their buyers/merchants are. I’m very hesitant to sell with TRR in the future and have been looking for alternatives. It’s a hustle!! They’re not transparent on their methodology for how they price items and how they discount. They priced a bunch of items conveniently at $145 right under the $150 threshold to get the higher percentage payout. Additionally, they lost a shoe from a pair I sent them and then sent me back 1 shoe and said they never received the pair!! I have a picture from the virtual consignment that then I placed directly in a box!! I’ve even purchased something that was supposed to be in excellent condition and it arrived worn out and threadbare in places! What a racket!

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS APP. If I could give this website a negative million stars, I would. I sent 5 items. 4 pairs of sunglasses and 1 purse. They wouldn’t accept the purse. Said it was discolored (it’s a brand new purse) and they didn’t price the sunglasses properly. I have been waiting WEEKS to get my purse back. They said UPS has tried to deliver my purse (they haven’t. I have cameras and an app that tells me what packages/mail I’m getting that day) When I contact customer service, they’re not helpful. I just requested for them to send my sunglasses back too. If they’re saying my BRAND NEW PURSE is discolored, they’re a dishonest company and I don’t want to be associated with this scam. Plus, they’re commission is ASTRONOMICAL. Do you research before you sell and DO NOT USE THE REAL REAL.

Great app but it thinks I’m a bot. I have an account and shopped on the app a few times. The app itself is great but I’ve noticed after a while it would log me out and and make me validate that i’m not a bot, or rather to keep my account safe. This may not sound terrible at first, but every time the app wants me to validate my account, a page pops up asking me to press a button on the screen, when in fact there is no button to press on the screen, creating barrier against me from using the app. This is something that has happened repeatedly and I find myself having to occasionally delete and download the app to fix this recurring issue.

App Functionality is Good, Customer Service is Lacking. I think the app’s functionality itself is pretty good, but directing live customer issues (the number they direct your query, the follow up that happens, etc.) is lacking. There are a few of the app’s functions that drains my battery if I don’t turn it off entirely, but that’s a minor issue for me. I think the RealReal’s experience is mostly tied to which region you’re requesting it from (so far I’ve had RealReal service in L.A. and the Bay Area). The Bay Area’s customer service is lackluster, mediocre at best. From cancelling or rescheduling last minute to unresponsiveness is frustrating and nudging me to go with other companies that provide similar service as the RealReal.

Solid five stars. This app has worked really well for me and for purchases and most importantly deliveries. I am very happy with the company, I’m very happy with this app. I’ve been a customer of the real real for 10 years and I’ve had this app I use actively for at least 7. As with most businesses mistakes have been made but they should not reflect that the company is dishonest. it’s a mistake. I trust this company and they have always done the right thing by me if they do make a mistake! 5 Solid Stars for The Real Real!

Pricing. I do like the variety in The Real Real but I feel like they always price jewelry based on the most expensive price they can find online for a piece of jewelry. I buy items every week used and so I see what things go for. The Real Real charges a lot. Also they don’t make it easy to ask questions about a product they sell and at times they leave important details out. When buying expensive jewelry I should be able to ask questions or get clarification. Hire more people if you need help. There should always be a customer service line or way to reach you about something specific.

I enjoy TRR. Here’s some feedback.. I’ve enjoyed TRR app for over a year and I regularly purchase wonderful finds that I missed from previous seasons. The UI is pleasant, product filtering is great, standardized photos are much appreciated. There are some things I’d like to see improved; add a totals count to results, add sort oldest to newest, alert on your obsessions when they’ve reached X number of “likes”. The thing that made me cringe recently was seeing the advertisements in their app. It cheapens the experience. Seriously, tell your investors to take a chill pill on their quarterly earnings performance and don’t cheapen your product. I’ve noticed TRR’s attempts to cut costs and appreciate that it’s necessary, but I just don’t like the ads.

Amazing app!!! Highly recommend.. Items arrived in a timely manner, even though the site said shipping delays may happen due to the pandemic. Everything came in just under two weeks. I bought three items— a skirt, a dress, and a pair of shoes. I can tell the shoes and dress have never been worn before, so that was a pleasant surprise. The skirt was in excellent condition as well. The packaging was elegant with everything arriving in little bags with their logo inside of the boxes. And for the price, you can’t beat it! I got super good deals for well desired brands including Michael Kors and Valentino. I will definitely use this app again and recommend it to many others!

Loyal Customer since 2018. Love these guys and trust their quality over competitors. One quibble, however: their watch ratings appear to have lowered their standards. I’m now seeing watches with CLEARLY visible deep scratches on case, tarnishing, even chipped glass, being rated as “Very Good” or higher. So, RR, if you read this, please revise your standards to the prior ones. Our trust in you is on the line. Overall, even with some slip ups, it’s still where I go to for high end stuff because of the sheer volume and variety. And their NYC store has the nicest people!!

Buggy. In the My Account section of the app, all categories of information load quickly, except for the “My Purchases,” which takes forever to load and frequently crashes. It makes tracking orders and starting returns a real pain. Also, if you are in the middle of a search, and the app decides to show you that one of your saved favorites is on sale, it overrides whatever search you were in the middle of and sends you back to square one. Not ideal if you were actually trying to encourage your customers to shop. TRR, please try to fix these issues.

Great for buying but NOT SELLING. If anyone is thinking of selling their items on #therealreal DON’T DO IT!! I consigned a ton of my Gucci clothing and was told I would receive 55% commission but as items sold they were at different rates from 40% to 55%( they said it was in my contract, however I don’t recall ever being told that) not to mention they create the prices that are outrageously low (you have no input), ie. Gucci blazers in great condition selling for around $100 give or take ( originally $1800 and up) then they give an additional 20% off without asking you if it’s ok. I’ve honestly sold for better money on Ebay or Crossroads. I’ve spent more at ROSS for non designer items!! Obviously buying from them is great but I’d advise not selling. #poshmark is probably a better option. On a side note, the people that work there are very nice

Where have you been all my life??!!! Fantastic deals. Just made my second purchase and am excited to get my items. The selections are great and the prices are outstanding. Shipping came quickly and the items were packaged beautifully in little pouches. I only have 1 small thing to mention but it is not a deal breaker. When you sort items it has a hard time going back to the same sort after checking out an item. Again not a deal breaker and will continue to use this site. Told a few colleagues about it and posted some photos on FB. Great work The Real Real, hope the deals keep on coming because I will continue to shop!!

LOVE for buying work clothes. I can always find great business professional/casual clothes on here. It’s better for your wallet and environment to buy secondhand designer than to waste your money on retail. Just bought a Ted Baker suit and a pair of Feragamo loafers for LESS than the cost of just a blazer at J Crew. The app does take some getting used to. There’s definitely a learning curve on how to use all the search features to your advantage. I browsed for a few months before making my first purchase. But I’m definitely hooked.

GREAT STORE. I found this website about 2 years ago and I haven’t shopped for any designer full price since! (Sounds bad but you’ll understand why when you shop with these guys 😂) One of my favorite stores! This company is very open and transparent they tell everything you need to know about the items so there’s no surprises when they actually get to you. Everything is official as well, they also have a store in New York and LA I visited the New York location. The environment and the staff was great. I have nothing bad to say about this company and I love looking on here for great steals i tell everyone about you guys! Thank you for great business!

Mostly positive. As far as the app, overall great. I would like to be able to swipe back or up or something to return to list of products from looking at one, instead of clicking the X. As for the retailer itself, mostly love, but I’ve had some issues. Men’s shoes is the Real Real’s Achilles heel. I bought a pair of men’s loafers, turns out they were actually women’s shoes. Bought a pair of men’s boots listed as US size 10, UK 9, they’re actually US 9. Bought a pair of Prada’s and the sole crumbled in spots when I put them on. Those I’ll keep though, it’s nothing that a little Shoe Goo couldn’t fix. Everything else has been great.

Glitchy app with coupons that are already used. I have been a buyer and seller with The Realreal for several years. However, the current issues may be the ‘nail in the coffin’ of making any more purchases. They sent me a coupon which said ‘already used’. This has happened a couple of times now. Also I was enticed to visiting one of their stores in person over an hour away bc I thought that many of my obsessions were there and I wanted to see them. However the app has a glitch that makes it look like the items are in that location when you sort. Sadly they are not. When I mentioned this to the employees, they seemed to be familiar with the issue but I guess nobody seems to really care. It says support will respond to my issues in 24 hrs but they have not. One item that I wanted to see in person I believe had a huge error in the listing. I feel bad for the person who consigned it bc it’s a thousand dollar mistake. Their loss - my gain. TL/dr - the app is full of issues and errors. They can be used to your advantage or disadvantage. Your choice.

Final sale items aren’t always clearly marked. I’ve made several purchases; the item descriptions don’t indicate that the sale is final until after it’s purchased. It turns out they won’t take it back if it’s 40% off or more, which is in the fine print you agree to when you join. Ok, but if you’re expecting to be alerted to a final sale item in an item description before you buy it, it’s not going to happen. After you purchase, you’ll find that the words “Not Returnable” appear next to the item on your invoice. You’d better know your sizes/brands super-well! They gave me one “courtesy” refund on an item that had a very obvious imperfection upon arrival that was not seen in the online image, but I’m stuck with a few things that didn’t fit that well.

Pretty good, a few suggestions. I’ve purchased 2 items, very happy with both (I have another order on the way). There need to be more photos of the clothing. I want to see what the lining of jackets looks like, for example. I’d like to be able to filter by condition too - you can search for items with tags, but I can’t find a way to filter for items in “excellent” condition. And the photos of the belts are hilarious. They’re super-imposed on a photo of a person, and look nothing like a belt would look like on an actual person. Lastly, standard shipping needs to be free and faster. It’s the norm when you shop directly from luxury websites.
