Not worth the money. Laughably poor navigation, but the joke’s on me because I was foolish enough to buy the premium version. Directions are often wrong - with obvious inaccuracies that would take us well out of our way if followed, or had us leaving highways only to be told to circle back and renter them. When I ignored incorrect directions, the map acted as though I hadn’t and remained centered on roads I was not on for up to 30 seconds after which it had difficulty plotting a new course for several minutes. Maps themselves appear be be based on old data and graphics look dated. Lane assist a nuisance as it pops up seemingly randomly. Buggy spoken directions failed to name many streets, stuttered, repeated itself frequently, and hilariously used wrong units with alerts like “speed camera in 1000 miles.” Unsure where they are getting their traffic data but it is not even close to real time. Also unsure where their five star reviews are coming from. Wouldn’t be a real issue if this app weren’t so expensive.

Issue for 6 month. I have priced multiple Addons in Sygic then I changed my device till know I am not able to restore my purchases or update my maps, already contacted sygic support by email and provide them with the screen shot of error and that I was that I am not able to update my map and I got some feedback at the end I was bored and saw that it was not going any where it was just emails from my side and to there sides still I am trying to find a way to make it work it’s not logical for me to spend this amount of money for it not to work properly I hope some from sygic read this so they can provide me with support by the way today I opened a new case with them regarding same issue to see if something can be done after 6 month I am hoping for the best but I am not optimistic

IT CRASHES. Constantly crashes for me. During my last trip it did it 3 times. Every time it does you have to restart it, confirm that you're still on the same route, and wait for it to do whatever it does for several seconds before it goes back to giving directions. This is completely unacceptable and has not been addressed in any of the many updates this app has received... But they sure do like to add paid add-ons like HUDs and dashcams! And that's not even getting into the shady map update practices. Not even a month after I paid for a lifetime subscription to updates and traffic, they added a new super-duper premium map update option that gets you monthly map updates instead of quarterly... Except sometimes months get skipped and the maps are still out of date. I just can't trust it anymore. I'm canceling whatever subscriptions I have with Sygic and deleting the app. Enough is enough.

Junk App for Navigation. This app is junk compared to Maps, google maps etc. Lies about lane preview but I’ll I’ve seen is a window with a with a picture of what’s supposed to be a road and just two blue “lanes” and this pops up randomly, Horrible navigation, at least in LA county, tells you to go the opposite way of destination sometimes and tells you to go one way then changes at the last min, also if your going to be driving in the same direction for a mile or longer all it tells you is follow directions and doesn’t preview what to look for next till its almost late, had to switch to maps to get actual directions and and a direction and street name to look for. Had this app open while my gf had maps on this was giving a completely different direction that would make me want to make a u turn or jump on the freeway while were close to my destination but not too sure of getting there. Don’t buy this app its your better off using a different navigation app

Downloaded for Use with CarPlay. Disappointed. I was looking for a solid, offline backup to Apple Maps for use with CarPlay. Apple Maps is great, but when you are in a low signal area, it can’t re-route you should you need to go off-route. Three issues with Sygic’s app made it a no-go for use with CarPlay: 1. the app, while using CarPlay, had trouble keeping my vehicle centered on the display, while constantly turning the map so you cannot see what the route and upcoming turns are going to be - seemed like it was having trouble locking onto GPS; 2. the voice navigation instructions were robotic and SLOW - not late in announcing, just spoken slowly; 3. the app crashed twice while navigating. I gave up and switched back Apple Maps. By the way, I tried TomTom’s app for CarPlay and it was not much better. If only Apple Maps had an offline mode.

It Is Freaking Quirky BUT, I Gotta Give It A Chance!. I’m somewhat confident this App has great potential. Frustrating silly things constantly ruin the experience. Eventually, I hope, I’ll get all the bugs worked out. I wonder if BRP Connect and Sygic could find the time to focus more energy on the end user and make this (my) adaptation process easier on the otherwise technically challenged folks amongst us? SUGGESTION … Consider training your Can-Am dealers, then enforcing a policy that ensures every dealer take the time to set up in-house training for poor (apparently simple minded) people like me. I’ve wasted a lot of time YouTubing! All I see in that environment is Can-Am owners succumbing to handlebar mounted, stand-alone navigation devices. Not acceptable in my world!

The worst and most expensive GPS app. The crew cares about taking your money but not to fix this broken app. You put so much money into it and yet this app useless. Very pricey too. I thought this would be better than Waze but it's a complete garbage. Customer service is horrible. It's takes almost a month for customer service to contact you and when they do, they can't even help you with your issues. At least Waze is free and dependable and reliable (does not crash). Making an address or POI search in like impossible. It does not even come up and it's constantly crashing. Stay away from this over priced garbage GPS app. DO NOT LET THE NICE INTERFACE FOOL YOU!!!. It's all for the money but not about fixing this app. They also use very old maps. The arrow on the map course falls off the map and then rotates in confusion. THAT RIGHT THERE IS AN EXTREME HAZARD THAT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. Stay away from this app until they take the initiative to fix this app.

Needs work. I tried this GPS navigation software about a year ago.I loaded it up again today after a year they should’ve been major improvements to the software. If you drive a car it’s not too bad but if you drive a tractor trailer it leaves much to be desired. Instead of listing truckstops the way it supposed to for trucks when you have the truck profile loaded it lists gas stations that trucks cannot get into. There are a few other things that need improvement and I pointed this out to Sygic A year ago and they’re all still the same problems. I see that he has come down in the price of the software quite considerably. All I can say is purchase at your own risk. I offered a year ago to help this person make his software better by using it and pointing out where are the floors were. The only problem is I was not going to pay for software while I was helping him correct the problem. As a truck driver in the United States I could’ve helped him extensively but he refused the help.

Doesn’t need mobile data connection! Great everywhere.. We used Sygic for two years touring the western USA in a Sprinter Van type RV. Other than downloading maps, it does not need cell data for navigation. Even in the desert where there was no cellphone reception, and therefore no Google or Apple maps, Sygic never failed us. The app keeps getting better and better with updates and features like head up navigation on your windshield — which is so helpful driving at night. Much better than a Garmin or Rand McNally dedicated GPS. On the iPads you get an amazing large navigation screen, unlike a small GPS screen. The small lifetime payment gives me Sygic on my iPhone, iPad and iPad Mini. This is one of the top ten apps of any kind I’ve ever used.

HUD doesn’t work like it says it does. I downloaded this because it markets itself as an app that works with a HUD. It’s a separate mirror component that has a mirror and gives you a HUD using a normal phone. All it needs to work is for the phone to project backwards. Think of how something is reflected in a mirror. I paid the $5.99 to unlock this “premium” feature. But it doesn’t give you navigation on the “HUD” display. It just tells you your speed and the speed it shows is wrong. Don’t waste your money. HUD does NOT work on this app. Update: They added a response that says to contact customer service. The app does not work as intended. I have never had to contact customer service for anY app in my life. Especially a navigation app. I downloaded another app with HUD capability. $2.99 and works right away. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. IT COSTS MORE THAN THEIR COMPETITION AND DOESN'T WORK. GARBAGE.

Sygic is limiting itself. I am using Sygic for about ten years. But, my usage was decreased because of their money trap approach. For example, car play connection and map updates. These are an integral part of a navigation map. When I purchased Sygic, it was included all of them. Actually Car Play is required an additional purchase for once. Now, it requires a subscription membership. But, I don’t agree to pay for a subscription if I purchased an app. For me, a navigation app must offer all options together and can be priced either one time puchase or subscription only. Once, I was Sygic’s advocate in the past. But, not anymore. Still, I use its offline map feature but very rarely.

I like it but why so limited free features?. So, I only used this app just because I wanted to try something new but unfortunately it didn’t last long for me because basic features where locked behind a pay wall like voice navigation why? Plus the change you car icon on the map is also behind a pay wall again why? So basically if you don’t pay for premium your features will be limited and free users don’t get a lot the app is basically almost useless if you don’t pay I don’t like this I fell like most features should be free like voice navigation and changing you icon on the map and anything else so afterwards I just deleted the app I don’t think I will come back after I see if more features are free but the things I do like is how good the sky looks for day and night very HD but overall I really wouldn’t recommend this app you can get it if you want be I just don’t like how many features are behind a pay wall :(

Professional and Powerful GPS. GPS for automobiles is serious, very serious thing. Nowadays, erring the route is always a sign of lost time, unnecessary spending and nervousness. If you are looking for a professional geolocation tool to navigate safely and not be hostage to 3/4/5g and Wi-Fi, do not hesitate! Sygic is an excellent off-line browser with incredible accuracy and updated maps. Drive safely and assured that Sygic will always lead you to the best path. I did several tests with other GPS applications, but none proved so stable, precise and with an essential characteristic: Do not leave you in the hand, when it is more precise: when there is no internet or satellite signal. Sygic will take you wherever you want to go. Congratulations!

A little too glitchy for me!. I really want to like this app. I’m running it on an older iPhone 6 with the latest updates iOS. Two things especially in my experience: the upper left hand menu often defaults to a screen that tells you to speak one of several commands.....and of course you can’t close that screen to get back to the menu without suffering the same annoying crash; secondly, the trial version of the app that is supposed to give you an enhanced Apple Car Play experience crashes EVERY time I attempt to use it. My car uses the latest Ford Sync 3 infotainment which supports Car Play. Won’t be throwing good money after bad for that “upgrade”. Overall the interface is slick WHEN IT WORKS but It needs improvement and I hope they can get it done properly, but for now I’d say don’t waste your money here.

Not what I paid for. I have just driven from El Salvador to the US border. This program has taken me to parts of Puebla and San Luis Potosí that I would not recommend anyone traveling to. The routing algorithm is flawed, or the maps are not up to date. In Mexico, where I was advised that they had up to date information, there are hundreds of petroleum stations not in the database. I have not been able to find hotels that have been built for at least five years. Just this morning I wanted to leave San Luis Potosí for Monclova and even though I could see the correct road in front of me, just 20m away, the program tried to route me down backstreets that were not in any way main highways. I drove to the highway and the program continued to try to route me elsewhere. It’s flawed, no doubt in my mind. I ended up having to use Waze to find my way correctly. Waze knew every point I put in. It found all the hotels I wanted to stay at. Also, the color scheme for the day is absolute rubbish, it can not be changed, and it’s almost impossible to see roads around a route. Want to try to divert to a different route? Forget it. Once the program runs its impossible to try to look for an alternative to avoid accidents or roadworks etc. In short, it’s a flawed product.

Pay to CarPlay.. pay pay pay... There’s great features in this product. I love the stop light camera warnings, I love that it warns you if you’re going over the posted speed limit in an area. The traffic updates are far better than competing products or the built in iOS app. There are some quirks: speed limit zone aren’t accurate in my area - sometimes being off by as much as 15 MPH and there are weird artifacts like my next door neighbor’s house being listed as a restaurant(it’s not). Also - everything is an upgrade or a “premium feature”. Some things I can see why: Their real time dash cam is an upgrade - ok that’s fair. Their real view AR navigation is an upgrade - ok. I can see that too. Map updates for life? Painful but at the moment cheaper than competitors. But CARPLAY SUPPORT IS A PAID ADDON? Really? That’s just gouging people. Either offer support or don’t.

Don’t waste your money.. In order to use this with Apple CarPlay, you have to buy the premium subscription which is more than $50. I did this and regret it. You cannot post alerts through the Apple CarPlay interface. You have to unplug your phone from your charger and do any postings on your cell phone. Using your cell phone while driving is illegal in many states. And it is not safe even where it is legal. I have used Waze for several years and I am totally satisfied with it. I don’t know why I spent money for this app. Also, the maps don’t seem up-to-date. There is a Kroger grocery store that moved from down the street from my office to the next street over about five years ago. The new grocery doesn’t show up in the database but the old grocery is where this program will take you. If I didn’t know better, I would be lost. Don’t buy this program.

Useless now. This was a great app when I purchased it a year ago but greed has corrupted it since. Ever since they started the map subscription towards the middle to end of last year the software is full of bugs. It will no longer give you the fastest route and will give you a route that is 1-3 hours longer. Will not reroute it’s directions. Crashes at least twice each 2 1/2 hour trip. Maps are still incomplete such as 3D building feature. Incorrect info on maps such as street names. And the dash cam plugin is the most frustrating bugfest. The dash cam will only record for a certain amount of time and when you go to start a new recording it will over write your last recording. Customer service will not actually read any bug reports you send them and reply with a canned email that doesn’t actually address the bug reported and try to up sell more of their plug ins. The core software has bugs that are overlooked while they focus on adding more pay-to-use features that have their own bugs. It’s just a cash grab now with little tech support and broken features.

Real review. I paid for Premium lifetime world and maps and all the add ons- I just screen shot ALL the things I paid for lifetime … and then they let it go and it stopped being a good offline navigation app which was very disappointing. I paid almost $60 for this app when apps were like .99 and a couple bucks! Thought it would be worth it for such a good navigation app and would be lifetime updates. So now here they are back with updates and using my contact info to send me messages about updating to Premium + subscription… why should I have to when I paid for Premium LIFETIME UPDATES and they didn’t even live up to their part of the bargain then?? Why would I put MORE money into this app? Don’t believe the phony 5* reviews. You can see some just like me on here who are fed up with being defrauded. It’s a huge app eating up space on my phone, for nothing anymore. Thanks Sygic, for ripping me off, a loyal longtime user. Very, very disappointing.

Still the best offline NAV option. For my particular location, the offline option from Sygic with downloadable maps is the way to go. While Google Maps has offline maps, it won’t go into offline mode even if you have the poorest cell coverage and you end up having to turn off mobile data. The downside to Sygic is the lack of currency even with monthly map updates. For example, newer restaurants and closed restraints aren’t reflected nearly as fast as they are in Google Maps. Overall though, the best alternative when you need offline NAV.

Angry Carplay Customer. This would have been a 5 star review. Let me start off by saying that this was the ONLY app I used for GPS. I loved it better than Google Maps, Apple Maps, WAZE, if there was a GPS app—I tried it. It’s an amazing app with really great features that you would get on an extremely fancy GPS unit (TOMTOM,Garmin, etc). I did pay to have accessibility to all of North America and some of the other add-ons you can purchase. I honestly didn’t mind paying the $20+ fee for all maps because of the offline map capability and the $5+ fee for the add-ons because the heads-up display is pretty cool. My frustration set in when Sygic was finally compatible with Carplay. I received a notification that it was finally available. I open the app, connect my phone and saw LIMITED CAPABILITY. I opened the app to see if I was doing something wrong when I saw the $35 fee to get full access on Carpay. You mean to tell me I am probably going to end up paying $60+ for a GPS app? It’s pretty messed up for this company to charge its already paid users a pretty hefty fee to have full access to a screen mirroring image on my dashboard. Thanks, but no thanks Sygic. You just lost me. If you make the fee $5 like your other add-ons, then sure. Although it really should just be included.

I want it to be 5 stars!!. I love this app- I really do but after the last 2 updates, the crashes- while I’m trying to follow the directions! :( it’s happened a few times. When I restart the app after the crash or even just opening the app getting ready to go somewhere, the app won’t load it opens but it’s just blank. I’ll force close and restart and sometimes that helps, sometimes it comes up when it’s ready. I work early mornings and last thing I need it the app not to work while I’m driving on an unfamiliar road at night/early morning. Also the voice promoter cuts off and you can only hear a portion of the directions. Thank you for creating this app!

I Want to Love It, but . . .. This is a great-looking app, and I really like that you can download maps for offline use. And the other cool functions seem awesome. But the problems I’ve run into so far will keep me from using Sygic to replace my current driving app. The first problem is that my place of work doesn’t show up when I search for it (it’s a high school, and a big one at that.) I had to go to the map, find the school (it was listed by name there), and drop a pin on it. After reading another review with the same issue it seems like it might be somewhat of a thing with this app. The second problem I’ve noticed is that as I’m currently trying to use the app the GPS is placing me about a mile north of where I actually am. That doesn’t bode well for navigation accuracy. Also, the map I downloaded for my state is not up-to-date. One of the main roads I take to work isn’t listed. It’s a more recent road, but it’s been there long enough that I’d expect it to have been added at this point (the road was completed about 2 months ago.) I hope they get things fixed, because I really do want to love this app.

Avoid this App if You Can!. No separate between land and water. All the same color. Major towns and cities cannot be seen unless you zoom in very close. V18.8.6 had a superior graphical interface. Update: Resolved most land and water GI issues by deleting and reinstalling app. The map still needs better road contrast. Colors between land and roads too subtle along backroads. Looks like this is moving to a subscription base app. I will pay for an upgrade if it’s worth it and not a subscription for mediocre updates. Time to start looking for a replacement to this app. 9 updates to version 20 and everyone has the same description. No mention of what was addressed in the updates. This is lazy. Are you fixing the app or what? OMG This app keeps getting worse. It now defaults to the robotic TTY voice when you don’t have internet connection no matter what other voice you had selected. This app is now officially a train wreck.

Just purchased many of the apps!. So far so good. Am giving 5 Stars and will be updating my thoughts after using each one and getting a feeling of the functionality of each. I have paid for every other app and am Hopi g this one will prove to the best one over time. Update: 1. Ability to reach customer service and no where on site map can I locate a customer service link for assistance. 2. I have been a long time customer and user of Sygic and have always been disappointed with the lack of customer service and also unable to find workarounds for iOS application issues. 3. Sygic does not recognize past purchases, such as my dash cam and front display (app for night driving). In other words, Both in the sygic website and App Store I am being ask to pay for a service that I already paid for months and even years back. Sygic has to step it up making it easier to reach customer service which is now nonexistent to be frank. As a longtime customer, I do hope that Sygic puts more time in assisting customers either by email or better yet an 800 number to confer with a live Sygic CS Representative. I hope someone from Sygic reads this below satisfactory rating and reach out to me being that it may be the only way to get in contact with someone

Not good enough. Admittedly I have only been using this for a short time, but since the free trial period is almost over I believe I’ve had enough experience to know that I don’t want to pay for the full version. I use the app via CarPlay in my RAV4 since it enables me to use other apps as well. The problem with Sygic and CarPlay is that the app is always in Dark mode, no matter the time of day, and even when other apps are running in Light mode. Side roads are hard enough to see in Dark mode at night, during the day time it is near impossible. The area I live in is mountainous, because of this cellular tower connections aren’t always reliable. This happened during one trip causing the app to lose track of where I was. The other problem is that when I was back into cellular range the app never recognized it, and so didn’t re-establish navigation. Sygic claims this is a GPS navigation app, but it is not. It requires strong cellular connection to function properly. This is great if you happen to live in Cupertino, but in the real world there are just too many places where cellular service either isn’t strong or just doesn’t exist. Traveling cross-country several times a year I need something that is truly reliable, Sygic isn’t it.

Crashes constantly …. Update: App has been stable for the last few days with no app update. This makes me think the issue was in the backend when it was calling home (traffic updates etc). Going on a trip to test. Finger crossed (which is not something I should be thinking of). This version or combination of iOS causes this app to crash constantly. I have been unable to keep this running while driving and driving/navigating. (Will not stay active for more than 10 minutes before crashing). It will crash and go to the home screen. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, including the maps, but have the same issue. For me, the app is unusable. Went back to an older unsupported nav app and it seems to work fine on the latest version of iOS.

Not worth the 20 USD high price tag, and the annoyance of the app upselling every additional feature. Two major issues: - It’s not a good product that’s worth 20 dollars. If you want a good real-time app then go for “Waze” app. If you also want offline map feature, then also add “Here Maps” app from Nokia. But for 20 USD!!, Sygic app just combines these two features into a low quality product. The Sygic app should have been worth maximum 5 USD. - On top of it, the app tries to upsell every additional feature. For e.g. 1) for the „Premium Carplay“ feature for 18 USD extra!, one has to pay again for basic features such as speed limit just for the Carplay. 2) And for 11 USD more!, one can have every month, map updates feature. I have not seen any place in the world where the map changes constantly every month for 12 months straight. The app seems to be constantly ripping off the customer. It is very annoying, when the app has become more of a pure profit-making app than a quality-built app. I think the only solution is to move your business model from a pure profit driven to a more quality driven. Otherwise, with time, there will be a long queue of frustrated customers lining up

Basic Functions Bug-Ridden on iPad Pro. I have had Sygic on my iPad for years now, hoping the developer would eventually fix the software issues. It has been to no avail. While new bells and whistles have been added, bugs in the basic functions of the app have not been fixed. I will focus on the two issues that concern me most. The most debilitating issue is with map management. Map updates are highly problematic. The app often crashes during map updates. If a map update is interrupted for any reason, crash or otherwise, the app does not recognize that the update is incomplete. This means you can never finish the update. In the past I got around this by deleting all my maps and re-installing them. However, in the latest version of the app, I am unable to delete maps at all after a botched map update. Therefore, the maps remain in a state of limbo. My second major issue is with the Favorites list. It is impossible to delete a location from the Favorites list – if you open the Edit window, select a site to be deleted, press Delete, nothing happens. I get the distinct impression that the IOS version of this app is not high on the developer’s priority list. Otherwise, why would such basic functions still be glitchy after so many app updates over a period of years. I have paid a significant price for this app and its add-ons. I expect solid, reliable software for my investment.

Unnecessary highway exits.. I recently drove from Dallas to Bristol, WI and back. Several times the navigation told us to get off the highway just to turn around and get back on, which sometimes means you have to route a couple blocks away just to turn around and get back on. So frustrating. No, it wasn’t because of traffic as their wasn’t any. Not that it would matter as the exit and entry was the same… Everything else is really good. Offline maps are good. Has up to date roads (unlike Tom Tom which is missing rural areas). Lane markers are very intuitive. Once they fix the erroneous get off the highway for no apparent reason bug. It’ll be my go to Navigation. Until then, I honestly can’t trust it.

Good overall. Nice app, It takes a while to get the hang of it as the blue lines at the beginning confused me to whether avoid or stick to these. Volume was down though and it all made sense when I heard and saw the instruction. Would suggest to change to green colour though as green is always “go this way”. I travel a lot to different places and I bought the world unlimited version. I’ve just tried it in Spain where in Madrid worked pretty nicely, the only problem was when inside a tunnel with junctions in it as these are not shown (I reckon due to loss of GPS signal) but the commands need a bit of improvement to get in the correct lane. Between Oliva (Valencia) back to Madrid, the app got lost four different times showing junctions that didn’t exist and erroneous turns when is not even possible. The way is very straight forward, very much a motorway where there is only one time at which you need to make a slight turn to move onto another motorway (Barcelona or Madrid). I just ignored the spurious commands but this definitely needs to be looked into as may cause confusion. Once the turn commands were ignored the display reverts back to normal. Also, a heard quite a few times “slight turn” when it was a nearly 90 degree turn. All the best and keep updating and correcting these minor bugs. It’s definitely a worth to have app

A disappointing “Follow the Route”. the “follow the route” is very annoying, you will not know your next turn till the last minute or 1-2 miles before it tells you the name of the exit of your next turn. In this case its very hard to prepare your next route or especially if someone will ask you whats your next turn? Because it doesn’t show up on your screen constantly. This is my only problem with this app and its very annoying. AGAIN VERY ANNOYING “FOLLOW THE ROUTE” instead of showing the name of your next turn!!!!! So im deleting this app till they will fix it😡 i paid premium and i say what a waste....

Ducati partnered with the app. But the app doesn’t seem to have partnered with Ducati. I bought a brand new motorcycle in Italy, and it connects directly to my phone to display a map function when navigating. It’s super helpful but the only map application I can use is Sygic. I thought it would be fine, but when I went to look up directions to go back to the dealership for routine maintenance, the map software couldn’t even locate the Ducati dealership in Naples, Rome or anywhere nearby (I bought in Caserta). I had to go to Google to get the coordinates eventually to copy and paste into the app. On a later drive, I had an appointment and the navigation sent me on a new route it said would be faster through an area I didn’t know. It was directing me to go through an area that has been closed for two years and I ended up late to my appointment due to backtracking. To top it all off, I keep getting asked by the app to upgrade to premium when I can use Google maps for free, which overall provides me a better experience. I don’t care for the spam, the bad instructions or lack of a proper search function (other major landmarks are equally difficult to find, regardless of searching in Italian or English thus far). One star

Jimspeedy1dino. I purchased this app about 5 years ago, and purchased the premium package and other options. There was a learning curve to mastering this app, and it did credible job. But there are important fundamental functions that are now extinct, rendering the app useless for navigation beyond giving verbal instruction. And now the biggest issue is the frustration I have with their customer service that has ignored repeated requests regarding legitimate performance failures that were once promised with the Premium +Traffic North America-Lifetime License, Head up display lifetime license, Real View Navigation-Lifetime License, etc. etc. This app no longer has a landscape mode for either Head-Up Display or Real View Navigation. They only way they blue line/arrow within “Real View Navigation” had any value was in landscape mode. I finally grew tired of being ignored every time I addressed this consistent issue through their “give us feedback” venue. I also have the Sygic Travel app, and both have become a waste of money. Since I happened upon the complaints here, I decided to add mine to the heap. I want to see if this addition placed in this forum will stir this recalcitrant Sygic team into enough initiative to respond to me on this forum. I want the “bug fixed” with an update and apology afters years of complaining.

Great app carplay is lacking. I love doing road trips and as such I occasionally lose service. This means Apple Maps is a no go. Don’t care for Google Maps. This lets me use maps offline which is awesome. I have no issues other than I am subscribed with the Premium+ for the monthly map updates, yet mine are stuck on July with the next update being this month. Additionally, on occasion, CarPlay doesn’t work well. It’ll show the map, but will freeze and not resume until i open the app in my phone. Turn the screen off, then after a few seconds, the map on CarPlay freezes again. As long as i have the maps open on my phone with the screen on, it works everytime. Most the time it works like it should

Disappointed. Downloaded this app months ago but only used it once or twice because the search bar was horrible. I was using Google Maps and I never had issues finding places near me. This app seems to expect you to know the full address of where your going. You can’t just type in the name of a restaurant. This is just frustrating. A few days ago, I decided to give the app one more chance because I liked the idea of the augmented reality feature ( which I paid for). I tried it for the first time today and it was a total let down. The idea is awesome but it’s hard to tell where your next turn is. The AR screen tells your speed and distance but there are no cues to warn you about exits, turns, NADA! Nothing! I missed my exit because the sound was turned down and you simply can’t see the turns in AR mode. I’m going to triple check that I didn’t miss a setting somewhere because I really want this to work. If not... I’m going to request a refund. UPDATE: still no sound! Then when you get online to try and contact the seller, they just send you in circles. There is no clear way to request a refund. I’m sure I can call itunes but why not make it easy? BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO GIVE $$ BACK FOR A POOR APP! Sometimes customer service is what makes or breaks your company...hiding your non existent service Dept behind links that send you in frustrating circles. I WILL BE TRYING TO CONTACT SOMEONE to try and get my money back.

They still haven’t fixed the city names in North America not populating correctly. After years of submitting request to get city names to populate correctly in North America, instead of suggesting that everything is called a “District”, The developer promised fixes years ago and still have not resolved this issue. I even supported this company by purchasing lifetime licenses for certain features. The developers just don’t care. Do yourself a favor and use Apple maps, Google maps, here, maps, or any other mapping program that actually calls a city by its’ name and not a district. I’m sure that developers will tell me to submit an official response via email, which I have multiple times. Again the developers don’t really care. They’re much more interested in pushing premium or leadtime subscriptions for utterly useless features. It’s a shame, this application is actually pretty good with this one exception. I’ve always used it as a back up, however, take my advice and pass on it.

Very unstable with Car Play. Installed ver. 22.3.1 to use with Car Play on the brand new VW Golf car in Italy. Connected with USB and Bluetooth with my iPhone. The app is crashing very often, especially close to the end of the trip. Had a hard time enabling voice instructions. Made voices work after reinstalling, the app stops speaking after every crash. Switching to phone speaker does not help. Occasionally drops the destination and once replaced it with another. Speed limits are shown incorrectly, for example, shows 90km/h on the road between Como and Bellagio, where there is no way you can drive that fast. Although I switched display to 2D, the Car Play still shows maps in 3D, even after restarting. Those are two many bugs. It’s a shame because the maps look nice and list of nearby gas stations is a helpful feature. I use Sygic Travel for many years for trip planning and wanted to take advantage of integrated navigation app and down loaded maps. However, due to the issues, I will more likely cancel my premium subscription before the trial period ends and switch to the old and faithful Waze instead.

Best offline maps app. We used the free version of this app for 100% offline navigation around several European cities without issue. It’s not perfect as it does have the tendency to crash on occasion and gives directions that could be a little more efficient but if you’re cheap and don’t want to pay for mobile data while abroad, this app is better than the rest. We tried Google, Here We Go, Apple Maps and a few others to no avail as those apps still needed connectivity to function. We used Sygic to navigate to major tourist destinations, bus and train stops, restaurants, hotels and stores. It never steered us wrong.

Good maps. Poor navigation. The maps are good but not the best. The off-line maps and navigation increase their value, however. The turn by turn directions has some good features including speed camera warnings. The navigation needs a lot of improvement and can be confusing and possibly dangerous if you don’t know the route. Directions are often vague and confusing, and sometimes even incorrect. While driving on a highway, the directions often do not give exit names so you don’t know which road you exit on. They often told me to turn where there are no turns. Directions tell you to simply “turn left” instead of “turn left to merge onto the highway”. And the directions missed the Walmart 5 miles from my house located in the the middle of a major US city, instead directing me to the back of the strip center one block away from the Walmart. I bought the heads up display option which is a good feature — basic but well done. But it’s useless if the rest of the app is going to get me lost along the way. For turn by turn directions, the two major iOS map apps are much more accurate and easier to follow.

Please fix. App is ok but my home address is wrong and sometimes gives the wrong directions or sends you the long way around if your gonna charge so much for the app you should be doing better research of the state maps and roads can’t ask customers to try and recall every missed turn or wrong direction the app gave them on a trip that’s why we pay for the app so we don’t have to do your research for you I hope you get the app fixed soon I had to stop using it for now considering it doesn’t even know my own address and I can’t change it I should be able to change the address myself at least on my map so I do like the design and the way it’s laid out but am disappointed in the way it executes the directions

Not quite ready. The lack of route editing makes it somewhat useless for car rallies and similar events. The latest update causes the screen to freeze when using it in vehicle dash. Fix it and stop changing things! I paid for Sygic Car Nav when it was out. When Sygic GPS Nav came out I bought the individual components and in Aug. I will have to pay a yearly subscription. Don’t think I will. Maybe, when it settles down and stops changing fee structure and the way it works, I might check it out. Earlier problems - I use this in BRP Connect which is a smartphone integration to a motorcycle dash. The most current problem is after a short while Sygic goes silent. The only way to get the sound directions back is to stop and restart everything. So many hiccups in using another navigation app. Map colors are limited. Announcements are quirky. When using it in a vehicle dash the route you set up on the phone disappears when you open it in the dash. Time consuming have to set up again.

Still frustrating!. Update:the search function has greatly improved, but now the directions leave much to be desired. I have noticed that the map shows all lanes of a highway are fine, only to find that it tells me it is time to turn less than 1000 feet from the exit, sometimes it finally tells me I am turning right when the exit only lane appears. Also, on my last trip it kept telling me to get into the carpool lane so it showed me turning, every mile or two; this made it impossible to know when my real turn would be. It would be nice to get more specific info about future turns too. Finally, why is the info bar at top sometimes blue and sometimes green? I am sure there is a reason but haven’t figured it out yet. At this point I only use Sygic when I am in areas with no cell signal, otherwise I use Apple maps. I used to love Sygic and keep hoping they will finally work out all the bugs. If I can get the program to understand where I am going, it is top notch, but actually getting it to recognize an address or find a location is frustrating at best and an utter failure at worse. At one point you could share an address from Apple maps and that was great but then it was removed, by Apple or Sygic I have no idea, but pretty much an epic failure now most of the time. As I do like the maps, once I have gone someplace I mark the location so I can find it again.

Some good, some bad. This app is great for those that want a truly offline map option and the lane assist is great....in theory. What I don't like is the fact that it waits until under 2 miles to tell you which exit you're looking for, which doesn't give you enough time to get over on some interstates. And quick interchanges are very confusing. I'm talking about those interstate exits that split into multiple lanes for different roads. This app doesn't give me enough information to get into the right lane fast enough. The only way to help this is to make sure you have the sound turned up because the voice seems to give you a bit more information. However, I prefer to drive with voice off.

Money Grabber. I’ve had Sygic for several years now and have really loved your app. Its best feature is being able to download maps and use them offline as many places I go have limited or no cellular service. I like it even though the maps aren’t always correct and one time led my wife to a cow pasture instead of the Hershey park! I’ve always given you a break since your a British company and I’m in the US. Despite these issues, I’ve purchased every lifetime offer they’ve put out. My only issue is that, as of late, you’ve switched their business model to a subscription service instead of allowing your customers to buy your product outright. This is why I dropped my rating by two stars and have switched to mainly using a competing product. The main reason I was attracted to your product, besides the offline maps, is that I could pay once and be done. Your latest add says “you can get a yearly Premium+ license for a special loyalty price”… “Loyalty” they say… I’ve already purchased EVERY product offered to date and THIS is how you reward my loyalty? By changing the rules mid stream? I’m sorry, but I’m not going to play anymore. I’m sure you don’t care about losing just one customer… but I’m placing this review out there to warn all your future customers. Slowly but surely we’re losing more and more of our hard earned income to this type of business model and I for one am not going to participate.

Maps don’t have real time traffic update. Maps don’t have real time traffic updates as Google/Apple/Waze maps have. Please improve in this area. I have tried offline feature. It works good. We need the app to also remember where I parked when the car is parked so it can guide the user back to parking if needed. Google /Apple/ waze have this feature. Please help incorporate these features in your next release . Update:: Lowering the rating to 1 star. Reason is that I have been giving constant feedback for over 2 months about app crashing when connected to CarPlay and all I get is standard response that reinstall the app. I even did that, but it still crashes. Developers please fix the issue. Also many of locations which you can find on Google, Waze and Apple maps are not shown on this app map. Don’t know what the issues are for not getting proper updates to maps. I have even updated the map when I reinstalled the app. Is this company still working? Or because of COVID-19 they have bundled up , shut down? Totally disappointed with this app .. Update : still the app crashes when you pass through net of freeways crisscross each other . I tried the app in india. It crashes here too.. Ok more update. I was sitting at a location in Palo Alto and searched for the same place in this map and it showed the location is in Ventura and is 70ft from me. Really? Do you think we are fools ? Apple Inc. please help delete this app from app store as this is scam .

Poor Directions. I got this because I was going to be traveling in the western U.S. and knew I would have sparse internet connectivity with my phone and tablet. However, when I put in a destination and asked for directions, it gave me a 155 mile 2:51 minute route, which I knew was wrong. Fortunately, I had WiFi at my hotel and was able to produce the correct route in Apple Maps: 43 miles and 1 hour. As it turned out, the mis-routing was a result of the fact that the shortest route sent me across the border of another state for a couple of miles, and I hadn’t downloaded that state’s map. But rather than inform me that I needed to download another map, I got a route that was three times as long. Not great. Also, when navigating, if a road changes its name, the app instructs me to “turn right”, when I really need to go straight. This means that I have to look at the app and cannot rely on audio cues alone while driving - also not great.

New subscription version 20.9.4. Purchased the older none prescription version. With US maps it was $100 US. This version works much better! Easier to get addresses into the app and save them. I like the list of gas stations that comes up on my phone now. Phone is cradled right next to the map display in my ST. Maps and verbal instructions are good. I’m on a iPhone 11 with IOS 15. Apple Maps seems to have more business etc but there are loading problems out in the boonies with Apple Maps. Route won’t calculate if your needed maps are not loaded. So figure out which states you need and load them. I have a long trip from Illinois to southern Ca. Once all the maps I needed where loaded it calculated the route just fine. I’d like to have verbal hands free address capabilities. The builtin GPS in most cars has that but it can be frustrating to use. Further comments to came.

Is it Sygic or Apple 14 pro max?. I give up on gps. I don’t know if apple screwed this phone up, or if every navigation app is just trash. This is the fourth one I have used and all of them are unreliable, buggy and let’s be honest dangerous because we all get distracted and confused when the gps freezes, starts flipping around, changing your turn at the very last second before changing it again as soon as you commit to the turn. Also, it would be very helpful if you could click on roads and change your route that way when you set it. Instead you have to put in a ton of waypoints so the gps doesn’t constantly try to change your route. For instance I have family in Dallas Ft Worth who know the local secrets to avoiding traffic and construction. It’s impossible to take this route with the gps on because unless you put in numerous waypoints it’s constantly trying to fight you and redirect you into a traffic nightmare. Maybe one day gps companies will realize that having someone draw their finger down a route they want to take in order to change on the fly is a no brainer. Obviously also spit out the generic traffic filled route if someone doesn’t know or have a preference. Quality of life for customers is something very few companies seem to care about though. Navigation is only as good as the reliability. I could care less about HUD, or any of that other mess as long as the gps works 100%. When a gps works like crap then even if it’s pretty it’s still crap.

Update to previous 1-star rating. New Review: I love the graphics and Lane prompts in this app. Development team is prompt about responding and they’ve fixed a lot of issues that made the app hard to use. Landmarks and locations now are searchable. Yesterday the app was nimble enough to find the best route through an Interstate closure with traffic slowed to a stop AND multiple road closures in downtown. Never encountered stopped traffic on the drive using Sygic. It takes a little getting used to but well worth it. First review: This app has very few landmarks loaded into its databases. You must Google a landmark then put the address into Sygic in order to navigate. Love the graphics but I’ve never found a single location in the app by name, including libraries and schools. Not worth the money. Company offered to enter each one I report but would not refund the purchase until they have more appropriate map and search capabilities.

Pros & Cons. In terms of showing speed limit, heads up to change the lanes etc. the app works really well. However, even though I loved this features and paid for this, I still have to use google maps simply because sygic does not reroute the path when I follow different street other than what was suggested by the app. Google maps does that and it is extremely important thing in the middle of the road when I mistakenly used different path but need to know the real time revised route to reach the location. How it can be solved? Thanks.

App has an update. I got a notice to say I need to update my Sygic but when I click on the App it won’t open this is the first time it has happened in the 6 years I have been using the Sygic. I have the same problem on my iPhone as well as my iPad. Is there a problem with the up dates?

Good, but has CarPlay problems. The app works well but when using CarPlay as the main display with the instruction list showing on the iPhone, the CarPlay screen and instructions are not in sync. Distances to the next turn don’t line up and the instruction list seems to jump around. Also, the compass doesn’t show on the CarPlay screen and when using EV mode, the battery percentage doesn’t show on CarPlay.

Great app that got us out of trouble... Used the trial version as we were lost in the back blocks of northern France. Performed so well we bought the lifetime version for the remainder of our trip even though we don't plan on driving again in Europe. Considering purchasing the Australian version to use. My only concern is that lifetime updated remain lifetime!

Good on iPhone, but CarPlay?. I’d love to give the app 5 stars as on the iPhone it’s a great navigation app. But the lack of CarPlay support means I can no longer use it as my current car doesn’t position the phone where I can see it. So I’m now using alternative navigation apps like Waze and Magic Earth. The lack of meaningful communication on the CarPlay issue has left a bad taste in many customers mouths. In the lead up to Apple opening CarPlay to 3rd party developers Sygic were very quick to show that they were on the ball, however it has been several months since release and still no update and no official communication. Magic Earth offers off-line maps for navigation on CarPlay.

Disappointed. I am from Australia and went "Premium" thinking that more up to date maps etc would make my experience better. How wrong I was. Searches could not find some points of interest, restaurants or businesses. I noted that some are businesses are searchable but had incorrect addresses. I was unable to advise errors via the app. I am unlikely to renew if there is no improvement. Apple (TomTom) is not much better with Google / Waze clear winners. Perhaps developers of Sygic could do a deal with the best of breed (Google) to improve their data.

If You Just Want Directions, It’s Good!. UPDATED REVIEW: It has got a hell of a lot better since I last used it a few years back. Without a doubt a very nice interface. I have sub’d to traffic alerts and mobile speed cameras, big fail there. I won’t be re-subbing in June2022. If you spend a lot of time on the road like me, this isn’t for you. It would be a 6 star app if road users could have interaction to help other road users with hazards, collisions, mobile speed traps, etc. Similar to Waze. Goood effort though from a few years back. Hopefully Waze like interaction comes to fruition.

Can't find proper address. I've used this app for a long time. Not so long ago developer has updated the search engine. It used to be so easy to search an address. You put suburb then street then number. Now you need to type whole address. The problem I have now in Australia when I put the address for example 5 John street it shows 5 results but you see as a suburb just Brisbane or Sydney. No actual suburbs. So out of that 5 addresses I don't know which one is the one I need. Very frustrating.

Need help. I already purchased the app and it’s blocked n me and I can’t use it anymore why ? And please try to make Sygic better I’be been using this app for a while and sometimes it’s not working well I had experience using Sygic it takes around the circle I remember once I was going to go somewhere and I was only 5 minutes away from destination and i decided to see how well sygic works and it’s was saying that you are 15 minutes away from your destination and a few days ago I sent a ftback to sygic app admin and now they blocked me and I can’t use sygic anymore why ?

Works great most of the time. I’ve been using this for the past 5 years and it’s been working really well and with regular updates with the maps and program. The last few updates have caused the app to crash on me, it happens a few times while driving which is annoying specially when the app automatically closes. Hopefully they fix the problem soon with one of the updates. I paid for the service and works great with my phone as a gps unit. You don’t need phone signal for this to work and you can search locations as well without phone signal, great for those areas with no internet connection.

Re-routes without asking. Great potential but the basic navigation does not work well at all. When presented with few route options and you select one that suits you, during the trip it automatically reroutes without asking, what is the point in a gps that does this? Therefore good for very short trips only. I wrote to development on this months ago and they replied promising they were aware and the next version would fix this, when the new version did not fix this 3 months back and I replied, no answer at all to 3 messages on this subject and again a new version out yesterday (June 2019) and the same colossal fault still there, unbelievable that they focus on new features when such a glaring and known fault exists?

Steve j. Had this app for years, and are still fond of it, but why on earth has the topographical features in 3D, which was one of the major things I enjoyed about this app, been deleted. No longer can I see the horizon with the hills and valleys marching the surroundings. Gone js the immersion factor for me unfortunately. It’s now just like any other app of its kind alas. What a shame, to me at least, and I really hope topo comes back.

iPhone X and iPad sound problems. Whilst travelling in the USA found that the directional voice support is erratic or does not function or is at a very low volume, which cannot be increased. Sometimes can be started by shutting device down, then restarting, search destination again and press start. Voice support could start at a normal listening level, sometimes??. Sygic say that they are working on a solution for their next update. To get voice support I need to resort to using an unpaid app ‘google maps’ this works every time with full voice support!!! Unfortunately, you sometimes do not find these things out until you need them!!! Hope this helps:-)

Bad Application. Slow and confusing application... you may got accident if you follow the routing change because it needs about minute to correct the directions if you miss your way. Waste money as well. I highly recommend apple map or google map they are more reliable and fast response...

Not good for Melbourne drivers. First the good news. CarPlay implementation is pretty good with the map looking really great. Now the not so good news. 1. GPS location on map is really quite slow and seriously lags behind actual car position. 2. Too vocal. Spoken directions just won’t stop, providing hints and pseudo directions seemingly continuously. 3. Can’t tell the difference between lanes and streets. 3rd on the left could actually be the next left if there are 2 laneways between you and the actual turn. 4. Melbourne tram-lines are “seen” as rail lines. So every time you approach a cross street which has tram-lines on it you are warned of the railway crossing ahead. 5. No visual lane guidance. 6. Straw that broke the camel’s back: totally out of date data. I typed in the name of my local hardware store and was pleased it came up. Off I went, via a meandering route but soon arrived. Unfortunately I arrived where the store had been located over 5 years ago. If I can’t trust the veracity of the data the app is not only useless, it could be hazardous.

The maps always disappear. I’ve purchased the life time maps but this app has been less than useless for me. I’ve always had the maps pre-downloaded and every time the maps disappear after not using the app for a few week or months. I’ve been on holidays overseas and opened up this app expecting the maps that were predownloaded to just be there and work, but no, they always somehow disappear/delete themselves. This is terribly inconvenient when you don’t have internet in a foreign country. Running an iPhone 10 on the latest iOS. This glitch has been happening for years. I’ve given up on this app. Waste of money.

Maps. I have used this system in a few countries. Back in 2012 I used it in the USA and Canada. It was our life line. The only negative I had was when you leave the Southern Hemisphere and go to the northern Hemisphere there was nothing to tell me this. I woke up that I had to alter my IPad. May be a warning in the app could solve this as in letting you know you have to alter the device you are using.

Value for money. I purchased the premium edition and webcam add on a month ago and have used both regularly during this period. Pros. Navigation works well within Australia from my limited use at time of writing. Love the way you can turn off and on and custom set alerts and notifications. Customer support was quick and addressed my issues within a few hours of sending email request. Very impressive. Cons With dashcam and navigation on it drains battery power even when plugged into the car power supply. Should be noted that this is more likely a function of the phone (iPhone 6s) and not the software. Dashcam file takes a long time to save to photos you need to be patient when saving and no close the app as I have done. Personally I would like a bit more contrast if on the map details I find it difficult to pick out the roads from the background on the map unless their is a route running. In summary I would recommend this app.

Great app the best customer support team but. Great app but really drains the battery also maps aren’t a 100% though I still prefer it over google maps due to googles products policy of invading privacy too much actually they don’t give you any privacy whatsoever Though this app needs a bit of work as it can still work wonders but can’t complain to the fact it suits my needs at time it still need improvements in things like real time traffic management and update if they could be improved somehow

Money grubs. I’ve been a Sygic user since it first came out (was the most expensive app at that time) and now a lot of the features I paid for have been removed and are part of the premium package only. I used to recommend it as a valuable app to have and many friends and colleagues have added it over the years. If this cash grab continues I’ll have to delete the app and use a more competitive nav app.

CarPlay. This app is fantastic. Easy to use and runs smoothly. The only issue I have is that unless you read the really small print at the end of the page to purchase they don’t really tell you that apple CarPlay is an extra cost and after I purchased I found this out and found that it’s way overpriced. If the developer could at least make it plain that its extra, that would be nice. And maybe half the price stipulated.

Terrible App. Trying to navigate from Adelaide to Robe in South Australia which is about 350klms. Input the Robe address and it navigates through Broken Hill in NSW, then through Victoria and eventually back into South Australia to Robe. A distance of over 1,400klms! I’m set for “fastest route”. I have had some other issues as well and admin takes more than two months to respond - or doesn’t respond at all. I’m sorry I paid to purchase this app. Don’t buy it, it’s no good in Australia - use Google maps! I’ve reset defaults, restarted the app several times and still have the same result.

Excellent, but a couple of bugs. I purchased the world plus pack, and am delighted. However, a couple of problems: 1. the dashcam feature works fine on my iphone6, BUT it won't STOP! I have to can it, and restart the app again. 2. On longer trips, it regularly gets into a freeze condition, where it insists that I activate the speech mode, which I don't want to. Requires a reboot of the app. 3. As an EV driver, I want to turn off the petrol station feature, and ideally, find possible charge points.

Pushing adds to users. I'm a premium user, so why the hell are they pushing apps to my device in the form of notifications. Opening the app I get adds, when the app is closed they push adds to my Home Screen. It just never stops. Non stop adds. Now they are putting emojis in the notifications to make them look like messages. But enjoy this 1 star rating and pass on your thanks to the tools in marketing. Don't waste your time with this app, just stick to a free one, that will do the job better and non bombard you with adds.

Trouble with suburbs in Australia. I used this app a few years ago while working in a delivery job and I loved how convenient and easy to use the app was I've recently started a new delivery service job and I'm having problems, suburbs in my area are not shown, for example I could search for a 27 smith street Sydney (there are multiple smith streets in Sydney) but it will not show the particular suburb in Sydney it will just show the multiple smith streets in Sydney without showing suburbs which is very confusing. It shows how close you are to it by showing the distance away from you in KM but it would be much easier if it would just say the particular suburb. Other than this I love the app!

Sygic car navigation. Wow! Last 4 years on tom tom for iphone and thought that was ok. Now forced to look elsewhere and thanks tom tom for making me look. This map is so easy to read. Had so much trouble with tom tom's small lane guidance. Being colour blind (read deficient) doesnt help, but this sygic is sick! So clear, nice big lanes. Just want to remove POI's from map. I'm sold. Could there be any better? Don't think so.

Hopeless app. Stopped using completely. I had full premium purchase then kept purchasing all additional bits and pieces. All good when app was working. But for last year or two the app has given me so many issues that I have completely stopped using this crappy app. I still get emails for subscriptions purchase etc.. which is another nonsense. Due to their smart sales tactics and confusing material all across emails and platforms, I ended up buying some items twice once part of premium plus purchase and then individually. Anyway not ethical practices. Left behind as I don’t use the app anymore. Nor do I recommend now that I found much better options. Basic functions not working in this app now. I had to close the app and open alternative apps many times so finally got rid of this app.

Well that was a waste of money!. I downloaded it a little while ago and paid for the premium with CarPlay. Problem Number 1. It dumped a random number in front of both my home and work addresses, rendering both of them useless, “unknown” addresses. Problem Number 2. Followed all the directions to install Siri voice instructions- but it didn’t work. Sygic didn’t give me a voice record option, despite me enabling voice instructions. It’s back to no-frills but reliable Apple it Google Maps for me, I’m afraid. As soon as I receive the receipts for my Sygic purchases, I’ll be requesting a full refund and deleting the app.

I’ve been patient since the major update but what a joke.. So major update came along 2 months ago & ive seen 12 updates since then trying to fix the mess they have made of the app. For me using CarPlay I have night time maps during the day & switching between the two randomly. The main concern is since the original update, I have no voice guidance. Actually to tell you the truth it does work but only when on the phone & talks with vet the top of you. It basically operates in reverse & 12 updates later it’s still broken. I’ve persevered with this app for a long time with all of its problems which before the update were finally fixed it seems & now here we go again. Do you guys actually know what your doing here??

Request. A very good app. I have used it Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia and haven't had any major problems. Is there anyway the highlighted words in green to be changed to other colours. Quite difficult to read the embossed green words to be read in a green background. Ha, what a disappointment as in the latest download, point to point navigation has disappeared. It requires the person to be in the actual place for navigation to where he wants to go. Now to plan a trip in Thailand is impossible or from any other place. It is also impossible to note the distance more to cover from the current position. Somehow the past seemed to be perfect and latest improvements have only worsened with the updates. They should maintain the old features of the program in the changes and not delete them. Sad .. !!, 16th June, 17 Thanks for the corrections and am glad that the omissions have been rectified and replaced. Hurray and kudus to the correction team. Your green embossed letters on green background is if no use as it cannot be read. I used it just about three weeks ago on my motoring trip from Sydney to Melbourne by Hume Highway and back by the Princes Highway along the coast and had to use Google maps to keep me on track. It is a pity that Sygic has yet to take remedial.

Limited ability to customise features?. Most features still missing - This should be call Sygic Lite. How disappointing. Am I missing something? This new version appears to be a cut down version with very limited customisation available. No ability to change or customise notification warnings for over speed, speed cameras etc. No ability to change sounds etc. for the notifications. All you appear to be able to do is turn a feature on or off. No idea what the default settings are that the app is using, I’ll have to do some testing. Points of interest are all gone, as is the ability to select which ones are shown? Not sure if this is intended functionality or a bug in the new version that is preventing me from accessing all these settings. Time will tell I suppose. If it’s intended, it’s a huge step backwards. No use looking at the online help as it references the old interface. Hopefully they will update this so I can see if the missing settings are hidden somewhere else? Why do I have to pay for a full subscription now to update the maps (monthly update). I have lifetime licenses that I’ve payed for for all the add ons. Not interested in paying a second time. Bring back the ability to pay for monthly maps only. I’ve used the paid version of this app for years. This app use to be a 5 star app.

Great but not perfect and not cheap. Great app but please fix this issue: When trying send directions from wikicamps app to Sygic it just doesn’t work anymore. It only works with the old version of sygic. Also fix that annoying voice change that doesn’t always change when restarting the app. Thank you.

From great to VERY DISAPPOINTING. This USED to be the best GPS app. Since they “improved” it, it’s sadly lacking many of the features I originally purchased it for. Sadly, you can now no longer customise it so your stuck with it giving you a random speed limit warning sound when you are TEN KM OVER the speed limit!! This is really stupid! (you used to be able to customise sounds and speed limit triggers to suit yourself). After using the app for about 8 years I was used to the sounds I chose for all the different warnings. Now there is no choice and I have no idea what sound is for what warning. And as mentioned, the speed limit trigger is set by default to 10km FASTER than the speed limit area you’re in. This is dangerous. I’ve emailed Sygic many times but they don’t want to help. They just want your money for this “downgraded” version of what used to be a fabulous app. Very disappointed.

Very good, until Apple Carplay!. I’ve been very happy with Sygic for 4 years now, until Carplay integration became a payed service. I was very happy to find Sygic had finally integrated with Apple Carplay, and it ran great for a few days, with access to all my Premium features. Then BAAAM! From nowhere all Premium features were stripped off and we now have to pay A$55 for Carplay integration. No voice assistance No 3D mode No speed warning No lane selection assist No traffic (even though Ive paid for it) No NOTHING! Sygic on Carplay is unusable without this payed feature. What makes it worse, even when I want to use Sygic on my phone with access to my paid for premium features, and still charge my phone via USB, Carplay will automatically switch off my phone screen and switch the app to the Carplay screen OMG! Sort this out quick, before you lose customers. Im not paying A$55 to access features Ive already paid for, just because they’re now on my car’s screen.

Used this for years... now I’m almost done. The maps on my iPhone X is pretty decent now with Lane guidance and all that, works when I have no credit/data with speed limits.. This app needs to be optimised for the iPhone X as there is so much screen real estate just sitting there, it also crashes and is glitchy on my iPhone X, this was updated a couple months ago, why it wasn’t optimised then I’m not sure, please don’t make me add this app to the folder on my iPhone for apps that are stale and forgotten about and ready to be deleted..

Beautiful but unstable navigation that keeps spamming with offers. This review applies to the paid premium version. Sygic has one of the nicest gps interfaces amongst the available apps. It runs on old iPad mini 2 with iOS 12 as well as on an old iPhone 6s with iOS 15.5. When working it’s fantastic in particular the lane guidance. But alas the only things Sygic is guaranteed to do is 1) crash while navigating (irrespective of hardware or iOS version and 2) keep bombarding me with offers to upgrade to premium plus. My iPad and iPhone run waze and magic earth and apple maps without crashing. So to Sygic I would say instead of bombarding me with more offers fix the stability issue. If Sygic didn’t keep crashing and didn’t keep bombarding me with premium plus offers I’d give it five stars.

Great features. Excellent app, very accurate and updated with great features. I’ve been using it for over 4 years now , the most I use it is when I get overseas, it’s the most useful app I’ve ever seen not for navigation only but for all other important landmarks, restaurants, tourist attractions, amenities and the list goes on . Qibla direction and prayer times was an amazing addition to the app as well. Great work.

Real view navigation don’t work with dash cam. I bought sygic and been using it for years. Sygic AU NZ. But hasn’t had the update to iPhone X screen size yet. Being that I use sygic a lot in my car for dash cam. I thought I’d buy the new version on special as it’s compatible with iPhone X screen size. I bought the lifetime Australia maps and dash cam and real view navigation. It’s only once purchased these in app features that app says you can’t use both dash cam and real view navigation together. I’m so disappointed with this money grabbing and no upfront information relating to these features. Plus the fact I’d already purchased a version of this app 5 years ago. It’s outright money grabbing just so it’s compatible with the latest phone.

Great concept - very buggy. This app got me lost for 3 hours in Thailand because it couldn't make its mind up where to go. I am using iphone 8 plus and its perfect condition the apps positioning when driving isn't accurate and tells you turn left then immediately after tells you to turn right and sometimes there isn't even a street to make that turn (the part of the country I was in the roads where built 14 years ago so it can't be that development occurred - please make changes to improve the location accuracy and perhaps it's N S E W co-ordination

Disappointed with new version. This used to the best gps guidance app you could get but it is now mediocre at best. I am very disappointed that the latest “up grade” is more of a “down grade” I have used it since 2013 and found it to so good I recommended it to all my family and friends and to other tourists who I met. For one particular reason, the speed alerts!!!! I researched all the gps apps and this had the best speed alerts above any other one. I drove around Australia and Europe and it always gave me the best warnings when I was driving above the speed limit. It helped me to drive at safer speeds and to avoid inadvertently driving over the speed limit. However, the latest upgrade has removed the speed alert warnings. You still get a small visual warning but you cannot get the Audio warning that was the best among all the gps systems. This was the most outstanding feature of the system! Why did you remove it? Please bring this back so that once again this will be the best gps app on the market!!!!! Michael

No battery management control (been deleted and voice nav). Previous iterations had battery management which improved the animation of the maps as driving and for routes, however this has been removed and maps animations are now jerky. Having to set voice instructions every time the app has been reopened to ensure correct instructions are provided which is getting tiresome to do every time, won’t save set voice and having to log in each time app is opened is frustrating

Excellent!. I was looking for a GPS app that would allow me to use maps offline. Google Maps was a nightmare for this because of the very limited radius each downloaded map would allow. However Sygic is the complete opposite. I was able to download an entire ‘map’ of Australia and I paid a small amount to have the voice direction activated. I am very pleased with this app. It does everything I want to and more. Highly recommend it!!

Still Needs work. I reviewed this app July last year, and it hasn't changed all that much. If you are looking for an offline maps navigation tool then this will serve you well but otherwise stick to google maps or apple maps, both have superior points of interests, road names and much more up to date road changes not to mention free traffic and built in voice control. Sygic app has some good things though like lane guidance, road speeds, built in dash cam and, trip recording that you can load into google earth, but it's downsides include very slow support, overheating if you attach it to your windscreen, poor and incorrect point of interest locations and very poor routing with no easy way to report or tag areas to fix. It also lacks microphone/voice support while hands free so you can't re-route using voice only. I've had an issue with a shopping centre car park with speed bumps and low speed being used for routing for 3 years and Sygic has been unable or unwilling to fix despite repeated feedback reports and very few of my interactions with support were enjoyable. Summary: It might be of use if you are going somewhere without mobile coverage, but with Google maps now supporting offline maps that is a weak excuse. Recommend you stick to your phones native maps app.

Bugs in latest version. I have been a user for many years. I recently bought an APPLE Car Play device and paired my iPhone XS to it. I love it and loved how Sygic worked on it UNTIL the newest update in June '19 released allowing automatic dashcam operation. Everything crashed. The APP. And My music on Apple Music won’t play when using Sygic and also crashes. The only work around is not to use Dashcam at all when linked to CarPlay. the large sum of money I paid to use the app with CarPlay is now worthless. Here's hoping there is a bug fix in the next update. For now, don’t buy it.

Great App. Today I was about to travel home from work and I sat in the car and I was wondering if the motorway would be busy with a festival taking place I was amazed to look at my phone app to see it was telling me the motorway was the quickest way to travel with light traffic and it was so accurate. Well done for making this great app better then my old Tomtom device.

Music plays through phone speaker instead of Bluetooth when using smartcam. One big problem I have with this app is if I’m playing music through the car Bluetooth speaker and I start using the smartcam feature the instant I press start to record, my music stops playing through the Bluetooth speaker and starts playing through the phone speaker

Still too difficult to report an error.. No matter how many times I have asked for this to be made easy or even just easier, nothing has changed. It’s so difficult to report an error. And there are many small errors with things like speed limits and speed limit placement signs. For me to go through the convoluted process that Sygic wants me to do … Just thinking about it gives me a headache. And then they want me to get it done promptly! I can’t do it. Fix the system, please.

Always improving. With the upcoming release of iOS working with CarPlay and being finally being able to use third party apps this will prove to be invaluable going forward. The layout on screen and line guidance proves to be more valuable than say some other GPS apps I’ve used. The only thing I could say would be more interesting character voices other than the Generic ones provided by pretty much all guidance apps out there. However this being said still four stars from me.

Maps not up to date. I have just moved to perth Western Australia. The maps for the freeways and highways around the city are not up to date. I was on a highway on the outer ring of the city and the map said I was off road. It got me totally lost as it was so out of date. During my journey it told me to take an exit and directed me for 5km’s only to come back on the highway and I could see the exit I just exited. I have been using this app for about 9 years. Has been great in the Eastern states of Australia. Western Australia is terrible. I have a trip to the country coming up. I just hope the maps are better or I will have to go to google maps. Not happy at all.

Hands down the best GPS system. Used sygic throughout 20 countries in Europe and when the hire cars' GPS system had us driving in lakes sygic had us on the freeway and heading steadfast towards our journey. Highlight was using it for the transalpina highway in Romania and hectic roads in flood affected Serbia. Saved my life driving at night through the mountain roads of Montenegro when I could not see a thing through the windscreen. The best GPS ever!

Sygic App/Lifetime. FANTASTIC… app👍🏻 Purchased Lifetime MANY yrs ago & has NEVER let me down!!! With wrk I travel thru many different countries & rely on sygic to help me navigate in unfamiliar areas. Precise location/ arrival time/ congestion avoidance/etc; Whether travel by car/walking/public transport.

Wrong side of road house number. Good app but lot of house number are on the wrong side in hearst on.

It okay. I have used it for a few days and my opinion is: make the route long when you walk and it is difficult to understand what direction to take It's good in three diminson but the rest is not very good .

Traveller. The best off line maps . Period Travelled all around Europe, no any issues. Highly recommended 👍

I really want this app to work better. Maybe the Canadian maps aren’t a priority, and that’s why this thing took me down a bunch of back roads in freezing cold weather. The app has issues snapping to the correct road in tight places and finding which way you are pointing. There is such potential here for a great app, but why pay for something when Waze is better and free.

Constant Harassment to. to purchase more even after you’ve made a purchase!

Best. I signed up then everytime i download the app again i login it has all my stuff thanks 🙏

Appli GPS correcte.

My Trip Director. Worth the €s.

Ads through Premium. Ads will pop up, for their own services, even though you paid for premium. Not sure why, but it’s not right.

Best nav app ever. Been extremely happy with this app. Completely eliminates need for a separate gps in the car. It’s a little power hungry as the gps chip heats up, but no problem. My only complaint is I can’t seem to purchase the add on features offered. Works flawlessly. Happy Canuck in Ontario Canada.

Sygic. Great app, have had it for some time now

north america premium. they app purchase indicate that north america premium is $0 but if click premium in the apps you need to pay $24.99…

Crashes. App works great love it cuz I got no data, but about 20-30min into the trip the app crashes. (iPhone 11)

Maps for life. Maps for life should mean exactly that. Do not rebrand the service then call it premium and charge for the service. I bought maps for life because I thought the monies I paid at the time was good value for money not realizing that you were going to do this a few years later. This amounts to false advertising

Unable to open downloaded maps!. Very disappointing!

Connection. The Sygic navigation maps are not connecting to my car. Even though I have Bluetooth and Car pLay on my iPhone I need your help, because I don’t want to waist my money Thanks

Commentaire.

Doesn’t load.. Doesn’t load anything for me.

Not a great offline gps. Some improvements needed like if you are going on a straight road it should say ahead of time the name of the road to turn left or right.

צדיק סבי. בסדר מצוין👍👍

Good, but search engine, gps coordinates, zoom level in CarPlay needs improvement. I have purchased premium + plan. This app is good specially for dynamic lane guidance and HUD. But it does not show up any traffic ( I am located in Canada, GTA area). I see few things still missing. They are mentioned below : 1. Accurate search : while searching in-app text, mostly I don’t find the accurate location or location not found as a result. Is that app can be integrated with google’s powerful search engine which can give accurate location in next update ? Also gps coordinate should be set accurately to its actual location on earth. 2. Responsive zoom: Zoom level needs to be improved. Car play zoom does not show the route lay out even slight far ahead distance since car play display is land scape, not like mobiles’s portrait mode. Zoom quality needs to be improved to sharp and crisp display. I have used several nav apps so far. After analyzing all app features, I can say If those are included in their update plan, this app would be the best navigation app. Otherwise all are good. Good job team. Keep up good work. I just gave 4 stars because those updates are still missing, if those are included in near fuel tire update, I have to give you 10 star..

I like it very much but…. Why does the app take me off the main roads through every little town, even dirt roads when I’ve clearly asked it not to and I want to stay on main roads??! Then it recalculates and keeps trying to get me to turn around. It won’t recalculate a new route. Can this be fixed??

Premium package. I already paid for head up display , cockpit, real wiew navigation , now i cant use them because its part of premium package.

Carte GPS. Dommage que ce soit payant!

Don’t work good. Won’t let me download my map

Descent. Descent enough app but each time a map update comes out for me and I try to download it the app freezes and when force close the app will no longer open. Have to delete the app and redownload all maps

Services keep being removed or become an extra fee. I bought this product 5 years ago and paid for 3 lifetime upgrades. Sygic has since removed 2 and made them part of the new Premium plus I now have to pay for voice and lane guidance which was part of my original purchase. Google maps and Apple Maps are as good or better and include features Sygic charges for. Plus there are other free road map apps that provide better functionality

Missing info. I prefer tomtom , is more practical and accurate

Upset and frustrated. Paid for most of the services. Haven't been able to use even once. What a waste. When I put the address it says not found. Earlier asked for refund no response. Very disappointed.

Great Ocean Road Trip. So simple and convenient

Achat.

Your app out of order. After I updated today, I can't open your app.

Worst app ever. The app keeps popping up with marketing information encouraging to sign up, free trial, premium etc and but it doesn’t actually work. I tried a number of times to download a map to use it offline since I don’t have internet connection when I’m on a road but it says no maps downloaded!

Works Awesome. It works awesome and I would have given it 6 stars except for 1 thing... it can’t find most address I try to search. I either have to find them on the map or go to another app, find something close that it can find and go from there... a real pain. But once you find a location it works amazing. Oh yeah... the travel time sucks too, but that’s a minor issue.

Great app but there is ONE issue. While I use this app in CarPlay mode, my phone has a tendency t get really warm and then it stops charging until it’s cold.

Erroe. The reason of 4 star i can’t able to remove my car speed option on my screen..

Needs improvement. 1- App crashes on car play 2- Routes are not always accurate. Directed me to HOV and Bus only roads

So-so. I have been using Sygic for years and I still find it difficult to program a destination as it will not accept an address from contacts. Speeds limits that are displayed are quite often inaccurate. The address of some destinations is inaccurate, to the point the address is out by 10kms.

Mise à jour obsolète. Ma rue après 3 ans est pas encore dessus mais sur Apple et Google oui

Disappointing- Could be better. Has got good features. However, the route capabilities needs improvement as it is slow in finding an alternative route and keeps routing to take the missed road. If you are in an unfamiliar route, it is bit difficult. Few times I got routed extra distance to reach destination.

Canadian maps outdated. Many things I like about this app but maps here in Canada are so outdated, so the app would have you take illegal turns, go at the wrong speed limit etc. (Even though I keep the app’s maps up-to-date)

Money Grabbers. Appalled to find out that after being a loyal customer and spending $$$$ on the app, the maps, the traffic, the HUD app and everything else, I now find out that I can’t use this app with CarPlay (unlike Apple maps or google maps or Waze, etc etc) this company thinks it is reasonable that it’s users should pay another $39 per month because they chose to create another app instead of just making this one CarPlay compatible. And please don’t tell me it’s map licensing costs because all they needed to do was provide a way for me to transfer my license to a different app and disable this one. Instead you lost a customer. But I guess you already took my money.

Delayed & Poor Support. Trying to get Premium that I had years back. Really unhappy with the way I am being supported in-spite of paying for it.

Don’t bother. It worked great for a long time but now it comes up with an offer to buy premium and the offer won’t go away unless you buy it. Essentially making the app unusable

Best mapping app I have used. Really like the way this app works, reliably showing roads, construction, traffic and speed traps. Have used it for several years now and it just keeps on getting better.

ADS showing while navigating. Got this app many years ago before they started with subscription. Never had a problem with it, now it poop up ads when navigating to buy the premium + and block off the whole screen while I’m driving. Had to reach over and hit the stupid X button multiple time while driving! DANGEROUS! Do not use this app until they get rid of this stupid ads. Just use google map!

Need to improve. Please improve about route information ahead of time. Need to improve GUI.

License Problem. Dear friends My License doesn’t work,I got “SKD initialization error “ and moreover the message explained “invalid license,NSURL session Data Task finished” What should I do? Thanks Right now my app doesn’t work at all, I’ve already paid for this app please help

Does not work. I purchased the Sygic truck because it stated it works with apple car play. From the minute I purchased it will not connect to apple car play. As I was about to leave on a 3000 mile trip and it was not working like advertised I emailed the company asking what can I do. Months!!!! Later still no reply, nothing at all. So stupid me I got the free version, and to my surprise it connects to car play. But I don't need the version for cars I need for truck and RV, so I thought I would attempt to contact sygic and find out why the free version connects but the version I paid for, the premium one does not connect.. Again no response, nothing at all!!!!!!! Customer support is Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop sending me push notifications. I just spent good money on this app so I would have an off line choice for apps. Now the app keeps sending me push notifications to buy useless for features I am not interested in. The app isn’t bad but it’s features are hard to use with notifications turned off. This is the only way to stop the annoying push notification from them bugging you to buy some unnecessary feature. I already bought the world navigation traffic pack and spent good money on it. Why would you pester me like I’m using the software for free. The only way I will give this application more stars is if they I can turn on my notifications and not be marketed to. I only want notifications about navigation.

Stay away from this app. I really wish I could recommend this app and company. I just cannot. The ability to use a navigation app with downloaded maps is very useful, especially when you have no data connection. Sygic does do that well. It was also for that reason I purchased a world+traffic-lifetime licence (which I recall was about $99 at that time (2018 or 2019). Yet, this app continues to throw messages in my face to “upgrade” me to Premium+ for whatever-amount per month. NO THANK YOU. I already purchased all I need. Sygic: Stop bugging me, remove your in-app ads, and leave your world+traffic lifetime users in peace. To all others: go look elsewhere. I love doubleTom which offers much of the same capabilities as Sygic in a non-intrusive clean app.

Wrong update. I have paid for North America lifetime, world lifetime and several add-ons and with last update (18.4) the app simply crashes at start. Submitted help request and get automated answer that you guys are aware on some crashes and work on it. There’s no some crashes - the app refuses to start at all. Period. That’s the first time I ever see on iOS app to crashes and reinstall on the app itself or rebooting the phone doesn’t help at all. This is ridiculous. Did you ever tried this update before submit it? One more thing - before submitting the problem on your website there’s promise from you that you’ll contact me up to 48 hours. After submission the message was stated 3 to 5 days. Great job guys. I’ll contact Apple to see can I by any chance get refund for all licenses that I foolishly spent on that app.

Hasn’t failed me yet.. Does seem to get confused over medians in some areas. Will tell me to turn right and then make a u-turn as soon as possible when I should just turn left. This is always in a place where there is a median but there is a break so you could turn left with no problem. Aside from that it took me on my family vacation from IL to NYC them up to Niagra Falls and over to Sandusky,Ohio and back home again without a hitch. I drove directly downtown in NYC and stayed at a hotel 3 blocks from Times Square and didn’t give me a single wrong turn!

Limited Value. I bought the add ones because they were fun and I wanted to see how it compared to other mapping programs, and because I wanted to see how it compared to Copilot as an offline map for travel to UK. I don’t think I really used it much, but then it popped up on CarPlay. The CarPlay map display is ok, but the real problem is that the search engine is completely worthless. You cannot find where you are never mind finding where you want to go, unless you know the exact address. I am currently staying in a hotel which is displayed on the map, but typing the name of the hotel returns nothing. I tried it for lots of places on the map and got the same result. I can give Siri incredibly vague requests and always seem to get a good answer.

Excellent graphics with lots of information. I started using this app on my in-dash Android-based car unit. It was much better than the mapping app that originally cane with it - plus this one has a legal license. There are some difficulties with it though. I live in the Washington DC area and it has issues with finding some locations and is not good with commute lane directions. In addition to this app, I use Google Maps, Waze and the internal Land Rover navigation apps. I recommend it over most other these other mapping apps.

Best app. I was recently diagnosed with cancer so I have to travel to Boston a lot now. and im from Far north ofMaine so there Thousands and more Street in Boston so we tried a bunch of GPS and each of them failed on something or another so we figured we try this app out and it’s awesome it doesn’t fail you can download each state map so you don’t need Wi-fi or cell service so if you need to go under tunnels it’s still there and that means everything when you’re in 6 lane of traffic so thank you would recommend it to everyone thank you

Problem. Hi I have a huge problem with the app it is slow since the before last update even after the last one i did update it but nothing changed, i removed it completely and reinstall it but nothing changed. My problem is that i cannot move the map, like its in slow motion it’s very very difficult to move the map with my finger without talking about running with it in the route... I have an iPhone 5s i am using Algeria map cause it’s my country, and i bought the africain license. Thanks for your intentions and please do fix my problem.

Erratic directions and demonstrate option. I love the app except for the fact that sometimes directions are erratic (makes me exit out of the highway to re-enter next in that exact point, other times it gives me a zigzag route when there is a straight ave to get the destination). What I do not like is the DEMONSTRATE feature instead of having directions. Is there a chance to get rid of the demonstrate thing? Many thanks. I am happy to change my 3 stars.

Not impressed. I don't like the fact that this app you have to pay a subscription for which I can't figure out how to cancel. Description. So I'm pretty sure I bought this app and it's not worth what I paid for it. I actually thought by all the hype that it was gonna be better than Google maps or Waze or something like that but it's not. You can add a home Address you can add favorites which means is not user-friendly either. I hope the developer reach out to me and help me with my purchase or the lack there of I would like to bass we get refunded or lease cancel my subscription so I don't continually get billed.

Needs improvement to compete with others. The search need improvement!! The new search updates provide restaurant and other places but very few near my location, most results are 100 or more miles away! User has no ability to search location(s) or at least those places near me. Also, the search is only using address if I have the name of the place I’m looking for (ie McDonald’s or Macy’s) it is of no use. UI needs improvement too. Zoom doesn’t provide street detail good enough ( ie street names or places don’t appear as you zoom. In general the app seems slow and sometimes inaccurate providing directions even when connection to internet is strong and not an issue.

Helping find my way in my trip to Baja mountains. It was a big assistance in my road trip to the Baja mountains, helping find shortcuts making me feel like a pro in the local terrains and in those strange neighborhoods, big support in every step of the road, I found it very safe announcing the dangerous curves. My only recommendation would be a little update of the map, I believe that It would set this app above all others map apps that I have used. All the options included are just great.

Terrible customer service!. The mobile speed cameras in-app purchase does not work. All sygic in-app purchases require an ‘activation’ step before start working but this specific in-app cannot be activated in my iphone or ipad regardless my numerous efforts. I contacted repeatedly Sygic support and followed every suggestion they had for this problem to no avail. I requested them to either solve the issue or give me a refund but I haven’t heard from them since. Bear in mind that I bought this in-app 3 times without knowing because I tried repeatedly to ‘activate’ it but it led to an additional purchase of itself each time! (This in-app purchase is valid for a year I was told by sygic). Therefore I ended up paying for a service for 3 years unintentionally and the product doesnt even work!

Disappointed. Several issues: • I paid for the dashcam option but it’s never worked right... It’s supposed to retain the last 10 minutes of video but anytime I complete a trip, stop the car and then switch over to save the video it only saves the last couple of seconds, between the time I press the dash cam icon and hit the save button • I like the feature that overlays your route over the live video but using the dashcam disables that feature • if I look up an address, for example 1234 Main St., it finds it, but if I save the location it more often than not does not put the number I searched for in, it seems to find the address that it feels is closest to the GPS location so the address may actually be saved as 1236 Main St. or similar, so the addresses I have saved for home and work, although they will successfully get me to the proper location, show the wrong address. • fails to find many local businesses, even if they are in my address book • the default view when navigating is too zoomed out, no way to save a preference of a closer view or have it zoom in automatically when nearing a turn

It was a good navigation. Good day everyone. I had a paid Sygic license for many years and thought I would have it forever. Now everything is different. Why are voice navigation and traffic situations not part of the already paid license? I don't know why I have to pay a second time for things I paid for once. Well, what can be done, I deleted Sygic from my iPhone and drive with another navigation that has these two basic things for free. With this step back, you have started the process of forgetting about this navigation for me. Thank you for your news in the last updates and good luck with other customers.

Support dont answer mail and fix problems. I pay in app purchase for this app but after install this app when I choose restore purchase it says restore successful But nothing happens and my purchase don’t come back.... By the way I think I put my money out. I send emails to support team but no ones answer my mail or dont solve my problem. Also before i buy 2 other countries sygic app and now both of them don’t work in ios 11 either one of them doesn’t have map updates from long time ago ,so i decide to download this sygic and pay for in app purchases cause I think finally i can use this app but it is the same az before..... I hope finally one day someone fix the problem 🙏🏻

Can't find many addresses. The app doesn't search my iPhone contacts, an inexplicable omission. Searches of the first three addresses I tried of my mother, brother-in-law, and daughter came up with the street in the wrong town. Google Maps and Apple Maps search my contacts and find the addresses Sygic does not. I tried the addresses manually and they still don't come up. I verified my daughter's address with her and the one Sygic found does exist but it's not her town. It's been around for decades, yet Sygic doesn't find it. There's a lot to like in Sygic, but if I can't find the addresses I need, the app is useless. Google Maps and Apple Maps are far more accurate and free. Sygic charges for mediocrity. Stay away!

Not Going to be My Map App. I tried this out for a week and found it unsatisfactory. It plotted an inefficient route home once, and when I took the more efficient route, it re-routed me to an even less efficient route that would have taken me at least a mile out of my way. Another time I asked it for a route to a nearby business. It didn’t look right, but I followed it anyway to see where it would take me. The business was not there. I then used a different map app to take me there, which it did. While there, I asked the proprietors if their store was ever at the location Sygic took me. “Yes,” they said, “About eight years ago.” I’m not going to rely on a map app that doesn’t update more often than once in more than eight years.

Good when driving, but when walking the voice commands go haywire. Generally works as expected, and the downloadable maps are a godsend when driving where cellular or WiFi are not available or affordable. But when I connected earbuds to the iPhone in my pocket and used Sygic to give me directions while walking through Paris, France, the routing and voice commands went haywire, telling me arbitrarily to turn left, right, left, right, left as if I were doing somersaults. I had to turn off the routing and just use it as a plain map. Also, when using GPS my iPhone’s battery drained rapidly; a backup power pack is essential.

Nah. This app has no soul.. I specifically deleted this app because of the app icon. The moment this app completed downloading I couldn’t wait because I wanted to see all these weird and unheard of features other map services don’t offer, but then I saw it on my Home Screen. And I screamed…. It looks like a Children’s play toy screen. beyond that the demand that we i Start a free trial is hilarious. There’s no definition or example of consistent quality control I. These hidden features… there’s no real support structure for issues and it seems like it’s crafted by somebodies nephew who lives in a garage and is attending a pathetic community college. Please hire a designer who knows how to create a decent looking UI. I’ll come back when y’all make something of your app.

By far the BEST. This NAV application is by far the best out there. I've used all of them and this on stands apart. The only suggestion I have is making it easier to find the location your going to EASILY. Often, you are in a rush to get on the road and finding the CORRECT place just doesn't work out right so you need to slow down and try every way to "fool the application" in finding the correct place. Sometimes I need to drop off the APP and go to google where I find the place right off and then just use Google to get me there. ALL THE TIME WISHING THAT I WAS USING THIS APP. User needs yo know that finding the place is just as bullet proof as Google

A Nice Functional Navigation Tool. Navigation tools are a dime a dozen and cell phones have gotten better compared to the simple GPS of old. I saw this one compared to my old Garmin and was impressed. This cell app has very nice features and work well. Very little lag time but if your connection slows it does to. But, so far no issues. Just wish some of the best features didn't cost so much. That seems to be the norm now I will use this one for now. Meets my needs and works.

Satisfied. All functions of Sygic work as intended. This is a big plus for me. What drew me to Sygic was the offline maps. The OEM iPhone navigator fails me on occasion when I am in a cell phone signal blind spot and start a new route. I live in the mountains and there are lots of blind spots. In the western US, these blind spots can be for many many miles and not just a local characteristic. So far, Sygic has performed well when I have been on forest service type off-road trails in my region. The mapping is adequate for my purposes so far. If I get too remote off-road, there are specialty navigators to rely on for that narrow purpose. If something could be improved, I can suggest adding a notification banner to alert when the APP or maps update. I like to know what’s going on in the background. Kudos Sygic team!

Paying for Premium Features is ridiculous when you can get them for free with another app.. After doing a little research, I found this app to be the most downloaded GPS navigation app in the world with free features, so I downloaded the app to give it a try. When it comes to navigation apps I’m very particular. After testing (Sygic) GPS Navigation I found a couple things I didn’t like, this app is hard to navigate while driving, not user friendly at all. Plus the features that are free are very basic, features such as navigation, speed limit warnings, real-time traffic info, dynamic lane assistance, and junction view, you have to purchase the premium package is order to use them. I found another app I will be using that will include all these features, FOR FREE!

Good but dashcam needs work.. This is probably the best set of offline map tools I’ve seen for mobile. I know the dash cam is a secondary gimmick component to the maps app but to really be able to market it as a dashcam replacement please add a mini-map or split screen map/video recording option. The saved video file needs to include more than just the gps location, it needs to show your car moving on the map as you drive along with the camera video. As a dev myself I know this would be fairly easy to do just by copying your map canvas and overlaying it on the video frames before writing.

Very Good. The app is a pleasure to use. It is easy to find destinations, and the directions are flexible enough to take into account traffic changes. One problem with the app is that there is no setting to prevent directions from sending you across through a non-signaled, busy intersection. An alternative used by UPS is the ‘no left turn’ restriction, which is generally faster. Either or both of these options would be an improvement. Don’t let me talk you out of getting this app — it is excellent without my suggestions.

Premium vs Premium+. I like the app but I’m very disappointed that being a Premium customer (lifetime) now I’m being bombarded to become a Premium+ (subscription). Sometimes it freezes in my car when using Apple CarPlay and it is because a message with an offer seems to block the App from starting until I reply “No”. I hope the could include an option “Do not show again” when I reply that message. If I ever get interested, an email will do. There is no need to block the App from starting to get my attention…

Don’t waste your money. Terrible product! Help and support isn’t much help either. The town I live is is incorrectly labeled. It says a pest control business is across the street from my house. Which is actually an empty field. It references a business over 30 miles away. As I was driving it said I was approaching a railroad crossing. At two different locations that there were in fact no railroad crossings and have never had in last 30 years, if ever. It doesn’t zoom in on the screen as you approach turns to make it easier to see the navigation. I’m sorely disappointed and so mad that I may be out the money I shouldn’t have spent on this. Poor choice to spend my little unemployment on. It doesn’t work and is not accurate at all.

Much to improve upon. I recently purchased this app and upgraded to premium + traffic & real view navigation. I also downloaded 5 states maps where I travel frequently. I was very disappointed when I put in 2 addresses of prominent hotels, it could not locate them. I feel technology is at a place today where maps can be updated frequently from many other social platforms. I also felt the iWATCH app was not very robust in functionality. The heads up navigation works very good as I'm rental vehicles frequently for work. I also have a hard time adjusting the voice volume for driver feedback.

Good but has a bug. I’ve used this app in Italy and the USA and overall it has been quite helpful. However, I have seen a persistent bug where the app stops providing audio cues. It stops talking for no reason at all, right in the middle of trips. This is very bad because it’s dangerous to have to look at the phone carefully while driving. Without the audio the app is not nearly as useful. I have a standard iPhone 7 and I can’t seem to fix this problem. I hope the company will respond and address it, or suggest something I should be doing.

Canceled on Day One. I got the Sygic app after both Ford and Sygic said it would be a replacement for Waze after their update. I subscribed to the premium version so I can have the GPS show on my car display panel. I plugged my phone into the USB port and started the app. The panel for the app shows on the vehicle’s display and when I touch it, I get the spinning circle that says waiting for device. After a few minutes it cancels out and removes the panel from the on screen display. Before anyone asks, yes I have updated my Ford Sync to the latest version five days ago and my phone is fully updated. And no, I do not have Apple CarPlay. My vehicles are both 2016s and they do not have Apple CarPlay.

Added 1 star for CarPlay support but too little too late.. I gave this app 1 star before for not supporting CarPlay, terrible routing (including no way to avoid carpool lanes and all ETAs assuming carpool lane use, and in some cases routing me into Carpool-only freeway in ramps, which would have resulted in me breaking the law and giving no alternative routes), and a UI that just never seemed to work right....and of course extra money for frequent updates after charging $60 for the app itself? Nope. Today I’m updating my review and adding 1 star for CarPlay support finally but the terrible routing and glitchy UI still make this app pointless especially since Apple Maps has improved so much. I like the HUD function. Too bad the rest of the app still feels so half-baked.

Needs a new data base. I like this app when it works. I love the visibility of the screen. I love that it displays my speed in real time and automatically shows me upcoming exits. It never crashes and works great. My problem is the lack of businesses and places that are able to be located. If it’s on the map, it’ll lead me there fine, but after finding a number of places on google maps when I choose to use Sygic, the place doesn’t exist. I have to repeatedly go back to other map services because I can’t find the place on Sygic. If they fix this, it would be perfect.

Why does it tell me to go straight?. I paid for this app for an upcoming trip. I prefer to have onboard navigation data in a GPS app since I often drive through no-data areas. I was testing this app last week and it is doing something truly annoying. As I was driving up a main thoroughfare (Metcalf Ave in Overland Park, KS) to kept telling me to go straight at each intersection. As this was a long series of traffic lights, spaced pretty close together, it got really irritating, really fast. Other than the fact that I don’t need to be told when not to turn at every stop light, the software is OK. I wish the up-sells were a little less in your face.

Great App for Directionally Challenged. I downloaded this app for traveling on vacation. I’m directionally challenged. Several people have tried to tech me but I will always be directionally challenged. I have resigned that having a navigation system is a must. Little did I know only a few months later I would be using it on a daily basis to navigate in my new town. After living in a small town of 60,000 and moving to a town of a million and a half, I would still be lost without this app. I AM NOT JOKING! 🤣 Don’t let the interface confuse you and give up. After getting used to using the features you will find this map very reliable and helpful. The updates have made it more reliable and easier to navigate. All in all, it’s a godsend to those who are directionally challenged. The only question I have is why did it take so long to find you! 🤗

Lifetime Subscription is Worthless. I've used Sygic for years, and years ago purchased a lifetime subscription for world maps and lifetime for Apple Carplay. For some reason, l don't get the premium + offerings, which Sygic wants to charge yearly for. On my old subscription l had all the premium features of traffic and turn by tirn instructions. I also had junction view. They have been removed and for my lifetime subscription l have basic plus option, in my opinion. This is nothing more than a way for Sygic to attempt to get me to ante up $20 a year for something I've already paid for. It's a terrible business practice. Totally disappointed. If you bought the lifetime subscription and expected more, I'm right there with you. Too, bad it doesn't mean what it used to.

Horrid nightmare. This app is the single worst map application I've ever used. There's so many issues I can't really list them all but the most hilarious one is the search doesn't work if you type addresses the American style with the street number first, the app simply doesn't return any results. Also the hilariously unhelpful CONSTANT traffic warnings tend to lower system volume like music and don't give it back so when you're riding a motorcycle you're stuck with music sort of whispering in your ears but can't do anything until the app crashes and restarts so it gives up volume control. The people at Ducati should feel ashamed to think this is a good user experience for their customers.

Unstable app. Even tho I had a premium subscription for almost a year, recently I finally decided to switch from Google Maps to Sygic. I have to say I was extremly dissapointed. Sygic app randomly crashed two times on a trip with ~100 kilmeters route length. First crash was right before intersection on highway, which rendered app useless because I had to switch lanes on that intersection which was a very unpleasant moment to have navigation app die in a critical moment. Second crash occurred while driving straight on a highway. I was not using any “advance” modes (HUD, camera view, etc.), just a regular navigation like I usually use Google Maps. I gave it two stars only beacuse I really like the UI. App is extremly unstable and completly useless. To me, personally, stability is a must for a product like this and it felt like I was using an incomplete product or at very best an early alpha version of this app. I probably won’t be renewing my subscription after this.

Directions need work, can drive me crazy. I love the app for the little speed limit notice in the lower right corner. It also shows my speed a I set it to turn red a 5 miles over the speed limit. For this, it would be better if it flashed a couple times as I exceed the 5 MPH over. But my big gripe is the verbal directions are quite stupid. I recently drove along a straight road with one route number for about seven miles. At virtually every intersection with a traffic light a voice told me to continue straight ahead! This happened about 15 times before I shut the voice off! Please fix it. I am Stephen in Safety Harbor Florida and I was traveling to the USF eye Institute in Tampa.

Expected better for the price.. The search seems really limited and won’t accept some addresses that google and waz recognize. Also, there are definitely some minor bugs in the voice directions vs what the screen shows. The voice tells you to turn right when a street goes from being divided to undivided highway. I don’t trust the points of interest. I told it to go to Mount Rushmore and it took me 20 miles away out in the middle of nowhere and wanted me to drive through a field. I used it on a 3,000 mile trip where cell service was poor. The offline maps were great backup, but had to rely on google a few times when Sygic was messed up....

Route planning is very frustrating!. I really wanted to like this app for a lot of reasons - it has features that really sounded useful, and the downloadable maps would be good for when I sometimes spend an hour or so driving through areas with no cell coverage. But I put in start and endpoints for a 2000 mile trip I do several times per year, and it gives me several alternative routes. So far, so good. The. I try to zoom in to see where the routes go. Bad news! Even for areas where I’ve downloaded the maps, you can zoom in to see which highways will be used, or even what cities the route goes through! You can go and look at turn-by-turn directions, but that’s mind-numbing for a 2000 mile trip, and it can still be difficult to get context. Turning right on Main Street, for instance doesn’t toll you what TOWN that turn happens in! I may try it out for some simple short trips, but at the moment it seems like it’s been a waste of both time and money... If I can’t work it a route beforehand, it’s obviously not going to be helpful if I have to make changes while I’m in-route... I’m very disappointed!

Had high hopes. This navigation app had so many innovative features advertised so it was a no-brainer to give it a shot. $40 dollars in upgrades later and I’m wondering what the heck I’m doing with my life. That’s like 4 Taco Bell meals. The feature that drew me to the app most was the traffic light countdown, for the life of me I can’t get this to work .. pretty certain now that I’m in a region that doesn’t support this data and of course I would’ve like to have known this before purchasing. Also splurged for the Apple Car play upgrade after using it a couple days .. I don’t see any differences. I’ve made a few support to tickets to ask questions but no one has answered me yet.

Not working!. Bought the complete worldwide package but there arent any maps for central america and if they appear, its i lu the name with ni download available. I provided email feedback to developers but no response one week later. Great app if only it had more than 5% of streets showing. Never been able to use it. Im on vacation in El Salvador and the map download is only 4,5mb in size so as you can imagine it shows almost no response when searching for a destination. This is the response i het 1 week later! “The issue you have described is caused by the quality of the map data we have received from our map provider. As soon as we would receive new data for this map, we will implement them in the next update. Thank you. Jaro from Customer Support" So what the developers are saying is this: we agree the maps arent working, we agree we took your money for the app but its not our fault, good day and bye. The fact is the product purchased clearly states worlwide maps and by accepting the purchase they agreed to provide the service. Apple itunes is not even responding to me on this either.

It has problem running for iPhone5S under IOS 11.0.3. It always crashed just after I opened it. Sometimes crashed after I chose a destination and tried to get directions. It was good while it was working, it gives forecasts, visual, vocal directions. When it crashes several times when you trying to get directions, it frustrates. It didn’t happen before IOS upgraded to 11.0.1. It also doesn’t have small roads map, like the pathway from main road to my house, or main roads to a point in a community which is actually quite misleading. I paid for the package deal. I feel really disappointed now.

Not There Yet in North America. It’s still continues to give me a really weird routes that I don’t have on other map apps. There are times when there are businesses that you could see from the highway yet are on their own street and this app wants me to stop on a highway to access a business rather than going on the road that leads to it. This has a way to go before they can consider charging us for premium which I already paid and regret. The only reason why I am using this is because my Ducati motorcycle only connect to this application, otherwise I use Waze

SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT BUY!. I thought I’d see if there were any new navigation apps other than Waze, Apple Maps, and Google maps. I downloaded this program and saw I needed to download each state I was going to travel in l before I could use it. Okay, that might be handy so I went along. After that, I plugged in an address that I’m traveling to next week, about 400 miles away. Sygic told me 8 hours to drive and took me through the middle of town of a major city. Apple, Google, and Waze kept me on major highways and were an hour shorter in driving time. No thanks Sygic. Maybe another time. You’re not getting me to buy any premium stuff when your basic stuff is so wrong.

No signal? Sygic. I go off road a lot. The locations usually have no cell service and this app is a simple road map that will get you on your way. I do have off road map apps but like the simplicity of this for navigating roads when I have no signal. The view is just basic roads and monocolor background. The key is the downloadable state maps. Because the background is simple, the downloads are small. Perfect for my use.

Not stable. I just bought this and the maps are very cool as well as the interface, but the system does not work properly. I have used this once, and tried using after but for some unknown reason, it shuts the app off on my iPhone 6S. I don’t know if the problem is my iPhone itself, but I really don’t think so. It also causes my phone to overheat, and probably that’s why the app crashes. I was in the middle of the road when it shut down for first time which is very frustrating especially when you’re paying for something, you expect more reliability. (in my case) I don’t know what the solution is, but if there isn’t an update that fixes this, id kindly ask for a refund because so far I’m not seeing my money’s worth.

Pretty awesome navigation app. Only problem. This is a really good navigation app. Only problem I've found is you can not use dash recorder while using navigation. Really??? If I would have know this I would have bought the heads up display instead of dash can. I really like the idea of using a dash cam. But what good is it if you use navigation. Sure record your drive in case of a accident but you can't record as see where you are going. If you could I would give it 10 Stars. Refund my dash can money and I'll buy heads-up display.
