Did work but not the latest update. Worked great before the last update but after I updated the app the cameras are offline.

Crashing. App keeps crashing, need update! Can’t even get to the point of seeing footage as the app won’t stay open long enough before crashing!

Great System. I don't understand all the negative comments. Apparently all these people don't know what they are doing. I've had my system for 3 years and other then replacing one camera it works great! I have no problems with the app. I'm a truck driver and gone from home a lot and it's nice to able to check on the house while I'm gone. The few times I had trouble with connecting customer service was very quick to answer and very helpful. Took all the time I needed to get things going. Only suggestion I have is, I think it's time to update this app. Last update was 2years ago!

App issues. This app work great until December 2020 and now it’s slow to pull up the Cameras. This is a security issue if you need to view cameras quickly.

Not working with iOS 14.?. This app was working well until one of the iOS updates, maybe 14.5 or less. When can we expect it to work again? Using will CAM-IPPT-HDW

Playback footage. Please improve the playback options. It just shows a black screen every time. If I can’t even download the recorded footage, then why have the option?

App is useless. I bought the system about 6 months ago. In all that time the app has only worked once. Whenever I attempt to connect to the device it shows disconnect. Verified the settings removed and reinstalled the app to no avail. If you intend for this product to be used as a means of security, you've lost me. I can't trust the app.

Please update the app. You are still selling this product, having bad reviews for failure to update the app can not be good for business. Do right by your customers and make the necessary updates

No Support!. I have been trying to get this night owl wifi camera to work on 4g with no success. Works fine on wifi but that doesn't help me when I want to check on things when I'm away. Tried to contact support and all I got was music for over an hour. Not worth the trouble.

Big problem!!!!. Worked well for one year, except for one camera burning out. Today we were actually getting the camera feed of other people! One was a small restaurant, another some kind of construction yard with a forklift, and another of some girl's apartment with her walking around in a t-shirt!!

Very Pleased. I have had my system for two years now. I have not had any problems and am very happy. I am not a tech expert and was able to set up my system. Happy with the product and the app.

It doesn’t work. We have four stores all with Night Owl and this app does not show video, ever. And for customer service ? forget it, they sent you to their poor organized outdated website. Do not buy their systems so you won’t have to use their (many) unreliable apps

Great for the price. I'm tech savvy. Setup was not easy but was manageable. I have multiple wireless cams. Still working on multi-view. Once I figure it out will update review. I can watch 3 halls, front and back doors, stairwell, and all windows on bottom floor. As of today everything has been fine for 2 weeks.

App rarely works. The cameras are great quality but...the app crashes constantly and takes forever to load! It’s a shame because it could be a wonderful product but it isn’t worth it at this time.

Worked... App worked ok for a while then all of a sudden shows cameras offline and takes an eternity to load up a live stream even when I'm on the same network. Losing all faith in the Nightowl brand.

Yes it is a great camera system I’ve been a customer for about 8 years now but I have a little issue now that I can’t my cameras from my app it says is offline I don’t really now if is with the Drc or the app it’s self will appreciate the help I’ll be calling the tech tommorow thank you for your service

Works sometimes.. I am not happy with this system I purchased for my house. The app works on and off .Some days it works great some days it don't work at all. Currently the app is not working and I called support but no answer and left a voicemail with no call back. I bought a laView camera system for work and it is great I would highly recommend it over night owl. The laView system I set up once and have not had one problem over the last year with it and the night owl I constantly fight to get it to work correctly. All I can do now is save my money up so I can replace this with a system that works. Very disappointed .

Great App. I've had my Night Owl for 3 years now. I love it. The app is easy to set up and loads just fine for me, assuming you have good service/wifi. I am very satisfied.

Retail store owner. This app worked great for a couple of months. Then, only when I was inside the store where the camera was located. Now I get no picture. Please help. I have hardly used this camera & app!

What happened?. I used this app for over a year with no problems, then a week ago it said my cameras were offline. Well the cameras are online but the app is not totally connecting to them. Please get your updates together for this app because I would have gave it 5 stars before this happened.

PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP.... I have the 16dvr system installed in my home. It’s not that out dated and it seems the developers have deserted this app. I can’t even view my cameras from my phone when away from home. I can’t play back video either. From ANY DATE that’s entered. What’s the sense of having this system for security if I can’t even view my videos? I spent a lot of money to buy and gave your nightowl system installed. OMG. I wish there was a way to have apple remove this app until it's repaired. I wish I had read the reviews here before I purchased this for my mother. The system in general is good as far as recording but I picked this over the others because I was supposed to be able to view them remotely but the app is nothing but trouble. DON'T BUY the "support" hasn't picked up after 2 hours.

Used to work decent until a month ago. Used to work decent until a month or so ago. The cameras are working but the app says failed to connect to server! So much for being about to monitor my home while I'm away! Please fix this issue! The app has always been slow to load but I could deal with slow better than not at all!

Bad app support. Love the camera system have had it up and running for over 3 years but for the past 6 months after Apple did an update. Now the app keeps crashing and takes 10 or more tries to open. Called tech support and asked when they are going to be updating the app and his answer was they are not it is an outdated system you need to buy a new one. So if I replace it with one of there new models I guess in 3 or 4 years will have to do it all over again. O wait he also said the new DVR’s don’t work with the old camera’s so need to buy everything new.

App needs to be make again. Start it from the ground up with a new design more modern and better features. Half of the stuff doesn't work and the app is trash.

No stars if that was an option!. We've had our camera for almost a year and it worked twice. Once after I installed it and then I had to call tech support and they went through a difficult manual setup and I had to use two different options; depending if I was at home or away... What a pain! Fast forward a few months and we got new phones... Never got the camera to work again. Do yourself a favor and buy a different product!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM.. DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. Seriously? This is the best you can do? The app works alright SOMETIMES. But it ALWAYS takes FOREVER to open. I have tried in on my Iphone 5s and on my ipad AND my Iphone 6! I have fast reliable internet and even with that, the system takes FOREVER to launch correctly. (That's if it even does) the app crashes half the time, and it's really annoying to deal with this. I would advise to get better developers, or i'll just get a better and more reliable system that actually works. UPDATE. I am now telling all friends and family looking into this system to look elsewhere. The costumer service is HORRIBLE. They NEVER answer calls, emails, etc. my system has been installed for a month at most, and cameras are already starting to break down, most look extremely blurry out of the box.

Night owl pro. Worst app ever, can't believe this company only has one app for its products. I found a app that works well for my night owl pro , cost 4.99. It's call Ip cam viewer pro . They need to fix this app or make another one that works. Would not buy again

Not working please fix. This would be 5 star however the app just stopped working for me stating the server is offline. Is anyone else having this issue. Or was I just lucky it worked for this long?

Support for this app stopped long ago.. Doesn’t even get to logon attempt. Additionally, the developer no longer supports nightowl pro. Why not simply remove it from the app store?

Do not buy!. I have had so much trouble with this app. The cameras two do not work. The tech reps are no help. This app is very poorly made. I noticed when you connect to a camera the camera light turns green indicating it's connected to the wifi but the app says that it's the wrong password for the wifi! So I then exited out of the app and then added the camera again while the light was green and it connects. This app has so many flaws!!! I have had to add the cameras three times and I've only had the cameras for a week. I think it's the app that is poorly made. Not the cameras.

It is time for an update. Please update this app! It hasn’t had an update since 2014 and to be nice it just is not up to par with other similar apps. It closes down every time I try to go to Liveview at least once. Once in live view, I am only able to view 4 cameras instead of the max amount of cameras I have connected which is 8. I am very disappointed in this app and will most likely replace my system with one where the company stays on top of what their customers need and want in a security app. So disappointed.

REMOVE THIS APP. You said “the developer” stoped updating the app in 2014. ITS YOUR APP and you have not made a replacement app to work with equipment you are selling. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They sell products they do not support then blame their “developer”. What a rip off! Don’t get me started on how frustrating the app was when it was supposedly working. If you make an app, expect to update it or make your equipment work with third party apps. It’s not hard.

Works Again. After several weeks of extremely slow loading of the cameras (over 60 seconds), sometime between 8 & 10 PM (Eastern time) on Tuesday March 8, the program mysteriously began to work properly again...but for how long!

Push alerts don't work. Push alerts don't work, as they advertise. Night Owl support is horrible. All you get is an answering machine or hold music. The app also does not hold your device, you always have to select it to load it. I would rate this a zero but it don't allow you.

good but push alerts are not working. The app is extremely useful and easy to use for watching the live feeds. For accessing old footage, not as much, so I usually use the browser first. That isn’t a really big deal for the most part.... My main issue is with the alarm and push notification settings... simply put, they don’t work. I tap to enable and it toggles right back to OFF. I am not always on wifi so hoping to get a push notification when something happens when the alarm is triggered would be useful, specially while I am away from home/work and wish my alarm alerts me of intruders.... I have it setup to send me emails with snapshots, but I still won’t see that until I open my email... so please fix the push notifications!! thank you and please fix the push notifications... they don’t work on my ipad2, iphone 5s and iphone 8; so it’s not just my device. Thank you

iPhone 5s. Whenever I try to connect my iPhone to this app via Bluetooth, the camera shows up and the when trying to connect, it says Night Owl not supported !! I cannot get it to work !!

Zero Stars - The End of Night Owl. This may be the end of Night Owl products,I use to recommend the product (1yr) now I told people stay away stay far away, they cannot seem to fix simple issues with applications allowing you to view cameras or have push notifications work at all!

Not so good. The whole system is not what I hoped for. The phone app works off and on. Crash’s and out dated. They have move to a different set up and now left us hanging. The PC app for viewing is also junk and hard to work. I’ve moved on to a different brand. I would like to be a loyal customer but can’t do it with all these issues.

App just got worse. PTZ still doesn't work properly. With this update, settings function does not work. Motion area feature is missing now too. Knew I shouldn't have updated app. Please fix or let me go back to previous version.

NVR system with POE cams. Love this system. Plug in cat5 cables and boom. Power over Ethernet. "POE". Been 6 months one cam quit working. I got 2 systems to see on pro app. Works god. Takes a fee mins. But manageable... Would recommend over any-others from night owl

Crashing. When I go to take a snapshot of a video surveillance. It saves it on the night owl app. I can view the picture as soon, as I try to delete the picture it crashes the app. Also I enjoyed being able to lay in bed overnight and watch my security system. After a few hours the Apple shut down and crash. Night owl lite never did that.

Doesn't work. This used to be a good app. Then all of a sudden it started crashing all the time. Sometimes I have to try to load it 5 times before it works another times it may take 30 try's. I called and was on hold almost an hour before they got to me. Then they said it was Apples fault. Someone needs to fix it. They advertise it works on Apple devices but that's not true any longer. Need advice!

Update this thing. Another one of your products that is useless because you wont update your apps.

Works fine!. Don't know what all the "doesn't work with iPad" and other negatives are all about. I have it installed and monitoring 8 cameras on my iPad, iPhone 5 and 4 with no issues. I would suggest calling tech support if you can't get it to work. I have not had to call yet but understand they are there 24/7. I am fairly tech savvy and had very little issue getting it up and going. Granted, the manuals and instructions could be made a little more consumer friendly. Remember, this app is designed for the Night Owl system as far as compatibility.

Lousy App. This app takes forever to load. Need this fixed. It is a disgrace. Is there another app that could replace the Night Owl Pro?

Not working. So not happy right now, I love my Night Owl system had it installed on Monday no problems, called Tech support that night to get it connected with my Apple devices, no problem. Got my push notifications to my phone I was on cloud nine. Then Wednesday night I get home go to bed wake up and BAM... no more push notifications. I can see live video and and do remote play back but no event play back they don't even load anymore. NightOwl has worked with my for the past 3 day to no avail, I think we need an app update or a new version

Program & Support Issues. This program has many problems. The external works for a few days and then doesn't for a week. Tech support has no clue about what they're doing. They told me it was my New modem which I force the phone company to replace and the phone company came and tested old and new one on-site and found nothing wrong. Have talked to Support more than 25 times. Both software and support not reliable at all. Just did their update on iPhone and iPad and it wiped out ALL my settings and had to start over again from scratch. I would like this program and hardware if I could depend on seeing the cameras when I needed to.

Crashes. It crashes all the time after upgrade to ios8 ,not able to check cameras because of this. I also get pasword error, device offline and cant view cameras.

Works great after some set-up. I had one heck of a time setting up the camera with the app. Since this is a review of app I have to say it works great. The company does a poor job at explaining the set up. I had to call the tech support line and have them walk me through the steps.

Fix your app!. The camera has a great image and works well when accessed from a pc (the mac doesn't work with the plugin provided because it's a windows plugin, thanks ...) the iPhone app is complete crap. It almost never works, even when at home on the same wifi as the camera. Very lucky if it shows the live view. Push notifications sometimes show video but usually don't even stay in the log. Fix this bs app! The reason we chose this camera was because of the push notifications but if you can't watch the video what's the point??

Works as expected. No problems setting up...i did have to call night owl for help with router settings for port forwarding to remote view from away... The app parts was easy to setup and use.... It does crash often when first opening, but once restarted it works great.... Maybe they will read this and offer an update..... I would recommend the night owl pro and the app

Camera works, app does not. iPhone 6. I purchased the camera the day before yesterday. Setup through the app was easy and I was up and running. The app worked for a total 1 day. Now no matter what I do I cannot get the app to show a picture. I know the camera works because I can access it through my PC. This app needs some work and the sooner the better. Without the app you cannot get push alerts which is one of the major reasons I bought the camera.

Works 50% of the time. I am able to see my cameras on both my iPad and iPhone, however, push notifications are non-existent. They worked about a month ago and now it doesn't work. I called customer support and they indicated that it's a problem on their end and are trying to resolve it. Mind you this was over a month ago and still no push notifications. Good cameras but the worse support ever. Apparently they don't care about fixing their push servers. If I could I would return these cameras and buy from a different company.

Worst App. WORST APP EVER! GOES OFF LINE ONCE A WEEK. TECH SUPPORT IS NO HELP. IT'S BEEN OFFLINE FOR A MONTH NOW. DON'T THINK IT'S COMING BACK.

Crash Owl. If I could give no stars I would. Motion detection text alerts stopped working about 4 months after install. Called their "24 hour" customer service numerous times after enduring a long wait time over and over and no fix still. Now App crashes non stop after finally getting it to at least stream some video then bam iOS 8 upgrade. No more app. Frankly, this company doesn't have it together. Bad service, bad app and tons of bugs...Frankly if you are trying to protect your family or property/ business or whatever, Don't depend on Night Owl to provide that.

Absolute Garbage. At first this app was a great resource to be able to see my home when I was away. Now after iOS 8 and my iPhone 6 I may as well not even have my security cameras at home. Crash upon crash upon crash every time the app is opened. It is a complete joke that Night Owl is so behind at getting an update out. Not happy with them at all. Next time I will be buying other brands. Keep dragging your feet Night Owl. It's not like home security is important or anything.

Works great. I bought the system called tech support they hooked everything up through my computer and walked me through on how on to get it working on my iPhone. It works great and it's great seeing it from the phone when ur on vacation.

Night Owl Pro Review. Night Owl Pro App work great. Able to get all 8 cameras up and working on both IPhone and IPad. This was with a Netgear router and local access only, not through the Internet. Not able to connect to Verizon Myfi device wirelessly with Night Owl. It would be a nice feature for night Owl to add a wireless device to connect to Verizon and AT &T wireless routers.

zero stars. You're product is bonkers. The time delay on this "live view" camera is about 30 seconds off. A lot of stuff can happen in that time. You're crazy to think that this product can give any sense of security for any person. I was going to use this as a baby monitor but immediately regret ever purchasing it. I do not recommend this product to any person. If you have one and are looking to see if it is good, just return it and get something else. Night owl products: no good.

Everything good but the app. I set everything up in 1 day. Pretty bad I spend money and rely on this app to keep my home safe. I get alerts and the app won't show what's recorded. Live view takes too long to show camera. This needs to get fixed or I'm just going to buy the Swann camera kit and throw this away. If people are going to spend their hard earned cash on this product then you can atleast offer a decent functioning app.

Works great. No issues ever.. Not sure why others have issues? But it could be the fact that I have common since. Of course you can't access your cameras while using wifi on your own network. It plainly says that in the Manual. Just read.... That is just my two common cents. Lol! No pun intended. But the app works great. I like use it to access about 10 different locations. I installed all the systems and they all work great!

Do not invest. Spent thousands to have 16 cameras installed in my new business. 4 cameras only work part of the day and the mobile app always says " not connected to server" Big waste of money

NOT IOS 8 COMPATIBLE. This app has improved a lot from when I first got it about a year ago, but is still slow even with wifi. Playback is an almost impossible task, and adjusting settings requires too much searching because they aren't all in the same place. Reliability has been the only positive thing that this app has. But with the upgrade to iOS 8 I can't even open it. What other choice do I have?

Don't buy this camera if you did take it back now!!!!. When are you going to fix the problems with this app? It needs a lot of work...crashes, doesn't display anything, just a weak product at a high price. Talk about customer no service! How many people need to give feedback before problems are fixed and how many disgraceful ratings of one star do you need to motivate to fix this? You won't have much longer on the job at this rate cause the company will go under before you get it fixed!

Don't buy. I give this system -5 Stars, it blows, I should have known when it says in the instructions Do not return to store call support 1st.

BG. Got the IP camera for Christmas, and I still can't use it 4 days later with 2 calls to tech support. Tech support doesn't know why I'm getting a wifi password error when setting it up. I've even removed the password from the router to eliminate that possibility, but still get the error. I am told by support that they might be having a server problem, but they don't know for sure. "Just keep trying". This product does not inspire confidence or security. I would not recommend.

The whole setup is a joke. I don't know if it's the camera, or the app that's so bad, but neither seems to work very well. WHEN I can get the camera to show video on my iPad, there's a four to five second delay. Most of the time however, the app acts like it's connected to the camera, but there's just a blank screen on the live view. Good product!!!. Once I figured out how this app worked, it worked perfectly. I can review all cameras at anytime that's what I wanted! You have to have a updated wifi you have to register the product this the crazy part of the setup when they ask for your user name do not use a capital letter if you do you will receive a name or password error message it took me an hour to figure that out but it worked fine after that!

Good app. Can see live stream video on PC, IPHONE, IPAD and play back video clips automatically recorded and stored on camera when it detects motion. View them remotely on wifi and LTE ATT Carrier in Springfield, IL. Can save video or snap shot of video stream being viewed in app, but only snapshots can be saved in iPhone Photo app for use elsewhere. Video is only useable within app or within PC app. Camera settings button work slow in the app compared to using LAN-PC. App uses blue tooth to load wifi and administrator password settings into camera, may take a couple tries. Slight lag in talk function - a little choppy on LTE. App crashes occasionally. Interface could be better designed - e.g. even though the app is designed to show feeds from four cameras at once, you have to select the camera off a list to view live, and off a second list again to view recordings kept on the camera. This must be done each time you want to go live or see a recording, even if you only have one camera.

POS. Save your money, this app and camera are junk.

Horrible app!!!. This app was awesome until an iOS update about 6 months back. I see every other app that I have fixed bugs and keeps up with new operating systems but Night Owl has not! The app doesn't work with the iPhone 5 or 6 on the current iOS. Do not buy this system until the company fixes it!!! What is the point of the cameras of you can't view them away from home???

Keeps crashing after iOS8 update. It wasn't the most bells-and-whistles app out there, and usability could definitely be improved, but it at least worked and showed me my live feed and recorded content. After the las test iOS8 update though, it crashes on the load screen on every device we have. Not cool, especially since one of our camera is over our son's crib. Three stars before, but 1 now!

Biggest waste of money. I don't think they support this app anymore. They don't care I'm guessing?
