A really great platform!. Have been really enjoying this app for the couple of months that I've had it. I have a few friends who broadcast and I can tune in with this on my phone, play music in the background while I'm doing other things, interact with people via built-in chat functions, and it's even got setups in case I decide that I want to broadcast a show. It really is a very powerful platform and the interface is very well thought out, so it's easy and intuitive to use. Recommended! :-)

This app is nothing but problems.. Most importantly, it crashes a LOT, stops playing and starts over from the beginning, has a terrible means of navigation in the timeline of audio, and more. The app's UI looks decent but kinda plain, there's not that many features (then again it IS free) ugh. I really expected more from this app. Download downcast if you're into podcasts. It's 1.99 but can't be beat. iPhone 6s Plus 128GB 9.2

Did Mixlr become Twixlr?. In the new update for iPhone, only the top line of a message can be sent by user, any text lines after the first line either fall off or are not visible in the app. Also only the top line of messages sent from PC users is visible. It's like Mixlr and Twitter had a baby... Twixlr. Also, still can't heart individual messages in a thread. Miss that!!

Great!. I’m on my 3rd year of broadcasting my hometown high school football team. It works well and is user friendly. I use a sound mixer with this app and the broadcast comes through clearly. I use eclectic mode because the two times I used sport mode, I lost connection. Could have been coincidental or internet issues on my end. However, no major complaints. Thank you for the great app!

Needs support for streaming SoundCloud playlist. This is a great app but it needs to have the functionality of broadcasting using SoundCloud playlist just like you can on the website. This would be a great feature as sometimes I'm on the go. I'm giving this a 3 star rating only because I want to be heard. Hopefully this feature will be added in the near future.

Great app for hearing music. I dig this app for the multitude of music options. Especially the bands that broadcast live performances. I’d give it 5 stars if they made an Apple TV version. Since the tv is now the home portal for entertainment it really makes sense to have a compatible app.

The Service is Unreal. I host a weekly livestream of Band Practice. When I broadcast my first show I was having difficulties (user error). I opened the live chat feature to air my frustration. I was met quickly with a response from John, a most helpful app developer. I had been improperly routing my own boards signal. I haven’t had an issue since and when I’ve had questions I’ve gotten quick responses from John. I can’t really say enough about this app or the guys and/or gals who support it. They’ve won my loyalty and it feels good to have a solid partner in our music adventure. Thanks Mixlr, you guys rock!!!

Fantastic!. I used to have my own radio show, doing all the engineering, and this a app is a pretty good approximation of a live radio show, but simplified in setup. The only drawback is the echo feedback you hear constantly while broadcasting, but it is a new app, and I'm sure it will go through updates to fix the issues. I can't upload a picture through my iPad, but I was able to do it through my Mac. So no big deal. Once you start getting the hang of it, this app is a lot of fun! My friend could hear me and my music clearly all the way from Los Angeles to Argentina! BTW, you have to use MP3 format only, so that can be a bit of a drawback for Mac users, but still, it can be done.

I like it!. I like everything except the fact that I don't seem to be able to turn off the notification part of the app from the tools and it alerts, even in the middle of the night, if someone I follow goes live. Other than that, it is a great app! Thanks

Failing to Load. I tried to open it three times, and it failed to load. It gave me an error message stating something about internet access, and retry. My Internet was obviously on, and I signed out of other apps that may be draining/overloading internet and stopping packages from reaching their destination. I deleted the Mixlr app, and downloaded it again, still... same thing. Otherwise Mixlr app has some good benefit that I’ve experienced. Thanks.

Good but. Please can you make an option to brodcast music from internal phone not from external mic. I want to brodcast my music but i have problem of sound not hearing good and there is many sound from surrounding that make my brodcast not good. Please add this option thanx.

Excellent App!. I'm a sound engineer for a national touring band. I've been using the MixLr app for just under two years and can't say enough good things about it! I DO monitor the chat room enough during the show to see if everything is cozy on the listeners end, but do enjoy going back and reading some of the chat made by people from one end of this country to the other. I know connections are being made. I really don't get the negative reviews I'm seeing here. Any "glitches" or "crashing" I've experienced have been directly related to the cell service I had when I was using it (I either use my iPhone 6 as a hotspot and tether my MacBook to it or use venue WiFi). The "showreel" is always accessible to the fans whenever they want it. Good job Team MixLr!!!

Please extend character count in the bio section. First of all I love the app and the concept it’s great that I can play in real time and express myself the same way I’m doing that id like to also express myself wholeheartedly as an individual. I’m being hindered from doing so.

A few suggestions. As an avid Twitch streamer and user, I’d like to see tagging and a dark mode. Maybe even emotes. The tagging is the most important, because it’s easier to connect with others. The app itself is great, but these improvements would make it a lot more user-friendly.

Please read this!!!. Luv the app and believe something big is going to happen. Can't wait to post my radio channel. Only problem I have, is the category of music I'll be hosting. My music is abstract or experimental hip-hop. In all honestly abstract/experimental is a separate category. Please take under consideration for this category and apply it as a category. Can't stop notifications.. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!! I have changed all my notifications and saved them and when I go back in the are all checked again! Repeated this step, multiple times, with same outcome. Used and Liked this app when following a family member on his Campus Radio Show. He has graduated and I want to delete. Took a good review and turned it into a negative one.

So much potential, but totally unreliable.. Using the paid version, and find that the product simply isn't consistent and results in lost content and wasted hours. Brilliant concept, but poor performance all around. From opting out of email notifications, to constant failed attempts to publish recorded audio. At best, currently this product is a toy, rather than a professional service; in my experience. Lots of potential, however I cannot rely on performance.

Great app lets me listen to my favorite live podcasts. I use Mixlr to listen to my favorite podcast network, GOLiverse. They doing live shows on a regular basis, and it's fun to be able to listen and chat with other listeners.

Why do I always have trouble uploading my profile picture.. I would of gave it more stars but every so often I'm unable to change my profile picture for some asinine reason. The latest one is "Your request has timed out". What does the mean? The app needs to be updated. Why are there never any updates for this app. This apps needs A LOT of bugs fixed.

Great App. I use the app mainly to listen and occasionally to broadcast live. It does everything it said it would. It not only works on my newer iPhone, but it actually works on my old iPhone 3GS as well.

Great but was my favorite till they changed it. Was perfect always a good connection and could look at other apps and check texts, calendar,etc but now they have it fade out and you can't check stuff on your phone. Plus when I lock my phone it fades out and drops connection so you have to keep the app and phone open! Bummer hope they fix that bug/issue..

Cannot turn off Notifications. I go to the Notifications page and uncheck every box and hit save, it backs me out to the previous menu. Click on Notifications again and the boxes have been rechecked. Still receiving a TON of emails I do not want.

Love the mixlr app. I love the mixlr app. It is very useful! But, lately my followers are not able to listen. I have showreels published, but they can not see them on their side. I need to figure out why they are unable to see my showreels.

What’s Going On. I’ve used this app almost everyday for YEARS!!! Now I’m getting the message regarding an active internet connection. I know I have a connection. I have reinstalled the app and still not working. I can listen from the webpage however but prefer the app.

It works.... It works fine until I answer a phone call. When I hang up from the call the app doesn’t resume playing. This gets pretty annoying. When I open the app after the call it’s constantly “loading” not playing. I have to close/reopen the app to get it to resume playing. Opening and closing “show reel” seems to wake it up in this situation too. It seems like a “refresh” etc button would be helpful. Also a “pause” button and a more predominant/easily assessable “play” button might make it more user friendly. I listen multiple hours daily and these little quirks get tiresome

Crashing with iOS 14.2. This app had been great and had been using it for years. I had to delete it yesterday because it would not even launch. It kept crashing. Please update the app. Thank you.

I really like the app!. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that for some reason recently once I open certain apps on my phone, the audio is automatically cut off. I'd like the option in settings to choose what cuts off the audio, for me that's only phone calls. But seems mixlr allows other apps take precedence over it regarding audio. I'd like to be able to read chats on whatsapp without what I'm listening to cutting off without my say so, please try and correct this. UPDATE!!! Thanks Mixlr! The problem has been fixed, 5 stars for swift action 😁

Love the app, fixing my Shoutcast addiction. Love this app and some great channels for some of the live music I listen to. Since most of my Shoutcast channels have slowly disappeared, this becoming my go to app. Just wish we could get casting added to it for Chromecast or available as a streaming app on fire TV, (Roku), or smart TVs.

New Update won’t let it start.. Been using it fine previously but the new app update won’t let the app load. Please fix the issue and get the remaining star

Profile problem. Love the live audio streaming quality on this, but I've a problem editing my profile, it won't let me upload a profile pic in the app, nor in my browser on my iPad. Why?

Too much bugs. Hi guys, could you please try to do something with the player because the app lack of ⬅️ and ➡️ bottoms to go forward or back. Also if you're listening a recorded podcast an you receive a call, the audio as normal pause and after the call it start all the way from the beginning

Great App and Website!. I run my own radio broadcast here and I don't know what the deal is with the negative reviews but I know that everything installed and synced well. From the pc and my phone and Lappy. You cannot 1 star an app because you are too ding dong to figure out. It's easy and sliding though baby oil. It does not crash, I can update my picture. Streaming is awesome. The free version has slightly reduced quality but still sounds really good. I run vsthost through a mixer and back into mixlr using a studio quality mic, Tascam and heads. The is the perfect place to stream without dealing with ads and tons of restrictions. Ignore these comments, they have no idea how to uninstall a freakin app off of their phone!!

Do I have to open this app regularly to receive iPhone Notifications or something?. I never receive phone notifications and banners, though I have the settings active. I mean, I work most of the weekend but I’d figure that any notifications would have gone right to the Older Notifications screen, when I swipe down on the iPhone. They don’t though, unless that’s me accidentally having it to where the notifications delete themselves after so few. I’ll have to check. But still, I have sound on for these notifications and I never heard it beep when I’m out. Maybe I’m tone death, but I don’t think so. Other then this the app is great. I found the best Star Wars Radio/podcast threw here and I couldn’t be happier. Although I remember when I use to interact with their broadcasts more I always had chat glitches where my comments would disappear. Idk if that still is a thing, but I didn’t want to leave it out of the review, just in case. Thank you for your time

Won’t connect. This app has been awful since their redesign. I use this app for one thing: to listen to a specific broadcast. After the redesign, it will not connect. The problem is not my phone or the internet connection, because I can listen to the broadcast on my laptop using the same connection, and I can also stream from something like Google Music on my phone over the same wifi connection. So it’s the app, and it will not connect and stream anything. Please fix.

Please bring back the old design. I don't know why you would change something that worked just fine. This new app is complete garbage. I'm a broadcaster. I can't even tell if I'm recording or not now. That spinning circle thing is a joke. It spins and the timer always stops at 06 seconds. It's impossible to see your input levels and it's impossible to know if you're even broadcasting. Forget about the chat because that doesn't work either. Mixlr was the greatest thing ever until they decided to redesign the app. I use the app to broadcast but unfortunately it doesn't work at all now. AND my new shows are not appearing in my showreel. What on earth is going on?

Works well, but.... I have been using this app for a few weeks without problem on an iphone and an ipad. My only complaint is that it only has one orientation for ipad, which is seldom the way my ipad is set up on a desk. I wish they could at least allow the app to flip sideways, even if they do not change its layout. Otherwise, it has a nice interface.

Showreel bug. The showreel is completely messed up, it will reset the show back to the beginning randomly. And won't play back until I close the app and open it back up. I've had to do this while commuting by bicycle several times and it really makes me hate this app. I will change to 5 stars once it is fixed. I believe if you make it so it's not streamed the same way the live audio is streamed it will be fixed..

Favorite app but PLEASE FIX. First and foremost I am not sponsored by Mixlr but if they want send me a dollar then I would be fine😂👍🏼 jk lol they are 100% my favorite app and I love to listen to church services on here and I’m thankful that I can listen anytime I want to UPDATE: I still love mixlr but for the past week it won’t load it just check for connection and retry..

Never Know What's Next. Love this app. Downloaded it to listen to WP, but found all kinds of fun in this musical labyrinth. If you're looking for something familiar, turn back and go play with your boring I-Heart radio. If you want to expand your musical pallet, this is the place to experiment.

Hate the update!. A recent update was made and I hate it! Mostly-seeing who is joined in. All it shows now how many listeners. I could get past that but I despise that recordings go back only 3 months. Years of recording no longer accessible. Please fix this!!!

Great App just needs some Enhancements. Thanks for this great App. Function-wise regarding listening to broadcasts I have nothing very negative to say except for the sporadic Server Error. Other features like recommended stations doesn’t really align with what I like so some room for imrpovement there. Lastly, the font size used on rhe chat box is a bit too small. Either increase it by default or provide option/setting to make it larger.

Cool app!. Love the aop, let’s me listen to The Cheeeeese. But a Ui update would be cool and some dark themes

Oh, the design!. I absolutely LOVE the design of this app. There's something mesmerizing about the splash screen-- I feel like I'm at the helm of some space ship. Anyway, been using it to stream a local band's live shows and I works very well! Nice job!

Love it. I have recorded a few live shows now with the band. I sit my iPhone in front of my mic and the sound is great for live shows. The only thing I wish for is a way to export the recording into a mp4 file. I understand why they don't have it, but I would be willing to pay more for an app to have that ability.

Love the app!. Great app! I use this app nearly everyday and love being able to listen to saved showreels for pass Church services. I am so grateful that recent problems with the showreel was addressed promptly and corrected by the developers. Thank you!

Needs some fine tuning. It’s a great app. I’ll start with that. I took 2 stars away for connectivity and esthetics. I hate, no matter how strong my connection is, that it’ll start buffering in the middle of what I’m listening to. And my last complaint is the lack of support for iPhone X, xs, and xs max. They could take advantage of these new large screens, but instead we have these large black borders.

No fast forward or back option. I use this app to listen to football games. However, there’s no way to precisely move forward 10 or 15 seconds. So it’s always a guessing and waiting game if I’m either still in halftime or skipped a few plays in the second half.

Great app, but not with iPhone 11 Pro. This app has been great for us but since I got my new iPhone 11 Pro it has been causing issues. It appears that it records for about 15 seconds and then plays it live all condensed to 5 seconds at 3x speed. It repeats that continuously. Hopefully this can get fixed ASAP.

No full screen??. Desperately needs an update to take advantage of full screen real estate. This app uses only 80% of my iPhone XR screen. Keyboard is outdated, hasn’t been updated in years. I think they’ve given up on this app.

Cool concept but needs work. Should be able to do private broadcasts that's a big flaw. I don't really want to share with EVERYONE.

Lots of Good Live Music Around The World. I was influenced by the Force of the Star Wars viral meme and got this app for my iPad. Not only are there a lot of talk about Star Wars but, many other genres of music and talk shows that are live and from all around the world. You can even enter chat rooms per broadcaster! Addictive.

Not accessible, not acceptable!. Before this new update I was able to access the chat for the channels I follow. All of them provided a link that I could access a transcript of the program after the live program. After the latest version, chat function works only during the live program and that's all. Shameful that users with accessibility needs were not even an afterthought, when accessibility should be up front and by design. Seems like the focus on this release was to make things pretty but functionality was stripped down with zero consideration about users with accessibility needs. Please bring back access to all previous chats. We used to access chat from few months ago. Now I can't even see it 5min after the live program ends. You just deleted a whole lot of data to make a perfectly working app look pretty!!! Please fix this.

Great App!. Love being able to discover new content

It's ok.. when I click a Mixlr link from an email or whatever, it opens the app, but doesn't open the stream, I then have to search for myself. Other than that, good stuff!

need improvement. let me connect to my followings even when they are off-line, so i can listen their showreel w/o searching them.

Terrible Update to App. This new update is not good. I was following a channel that had 3 years of context and this new update got rid of at least 2 years of postings/audios from the channel I follow. I can only view content from 2022 Nov until this date. It’s really sad. I’m very disappointed with this update. Mixlr please restore the old functions of this app as well as previous content posted by channels on the app. The app does look nicer aesthetically, but functionally this has downscaled.

Wonderful app. I love this app! It’s so amazing! The quality is suburb and unbeatable. So many great and creative people utilize it. It’s a great platform for creatives to make so many people happy and uplift their spirits! It’s also not complicated to use and easy to understand. NOT User Friendly. Probably the LEAST user friendly radio app there is! The ONLY reason I have it is to listen to my daughters station!!

No Facebook Connection. I went into my mixlr and my online profile and setup my connections. It says connected for Facebook but in the app it still says that I have no Facebook connection so I can't invite friends. Bummer, could be a better app if this worked.

App has stopped working. Last weekend received numerous “Unable to Start Session” error messages when trying to open- message said to check internet connection ( Home Wi-Fi working fine). Deleted app and re-installed, same problem. Guess Mixlr is dead.

Good! needs some self management.. Great, works like a charm! Needs an in-app edit my profile, as being redirected to safari is quite a pain.

Great App, BUT!!!!!!. This app would rock IF we could play music from the mobile app, and also needing a iPad app too; Spreaker app allows music to be played on iPhone & iPad app. Help us stay with you!!!!

Drops the stream frequently. There should be a reload button.

Love the app but still needs some fixes. Usually works great but the showreel has been having issues for the last couple updates. Every time I re-enter the app while listening to an archived show it resets.

"Your provided details are invalid". I can log in to the website, but nothing I try is logging me in to the app. I'm using copy/paste so there's little chance I'm entering the wrong details. Update: Able to log in using Facebook authentication. Now having trouble with constantly needing to buffer while listening. If the streaming and authentication issues were fixed, this would be a nice app.

😔. I love mixlr but am sad with the email I have received. I should have known that it wouldn’t stay free forever. Now all the work I have put into the showreel is gonna be just deleted!?!

Great!. Actually is a pretty good one, but you guys need to embeed showreels inside the app, it's kind of anoying switching between the app and my browser everytime I want to listen to a different showreel.

Recent app upgrade. Please fix the problem with only the top line of the chat response only being seen. I have an iPhone and was able the see the whole chat response before the recent app update.

CRASHES. App has been randomly crashing a lot lately maybe since the last update.

Can’t delete account. I went online and the green tab to delete account didn’t do anything after pressing it. The grey tab that says “contact us” didn’t work either. I tried to use the red contact us tab and THAT didn’t work. You need to check your page functions.

Great App. Love this app & appreciate it very much. Since the latest update, can only update the profile pic and bio and not the artwork image.

Notifications issue. I haven’t been receiving any notifications lately and have been missing live broadcasts.

Sounds bad.... When we go live on my iPhone 11 Pro Max it makes everyone sound deeper than they are. When will there be an update to fix this?

Good, but needs lots of work. This app has lots of good qualities, but I find it difficult to hear a broadcast and change your profile pic and artwork.

Typing issues. As with the past version you still can't see what you're typing while on the iPhone 5 in chat. Otherwise it gets the job done.

Audio works fine but chat is broke. When you write a comment in the chat part of the time it only shows part of the comment. Chat doesn't refresh as it should or show all the comments. Latest update broke more then it helped.

Mixlr is a great app!. I love being able to livestream my favorite bands! I also appreciate the real time alerts so I don't miss a show!

Recording live shows. Easy to use. I am using just am iphone5 and the responce has been great. I recorded a solo acoustic show at the Basement in Nashville and it sounded great. The show was Jerry Jospeh.

New update is awful. The app used to work great but after the latest update the app isn't near as good as it was. Search function doesn't work and the chat has to be updated if you want to see any thing new in the chat. PLEASE fix this

The best, if not one of the best. Good audio quality and fast buffering. As if you are listening real time. Everyone should try it. Hats off to Mxlr!!!!

I like the app, BUT.... It sends me notifications even after I turn them off, which is annoying. I've had to un-favorite all the channels I listen to so it would stop. Also, sometimes the signal drops. Otherwise, this is a great app that I've used often.

App isn’t working. I have tried to open the app Over the past few days but it’s not working. It keeps asking me to check my internet connection. My connection is great and all the other apps work pretty well.

FRUSTRATION!!!!. I wanna pull my skin off!!! The description of this app say: I can record either live and invite people from FB to listen----- or I can save my recordings and then share them. IV RECORDED 2 IMPORTANT MESSAGES-- I clicked on FB---and all--- and I have yet to be able to SHARE my word. My last recording this morning did not publish and I can't see it under the unpublished listing so it is gone. And the other recording and made yesterday.... I CANT SEE WHERE TO SHARE IT DIRECTLY WITH FB-- and it is really frustrating me like crazy. It's supposed to be simple todo. How in the world do I get my recordings on FB!!!!?

Live Broadcadting. App seems to buffer a lot and crashes unexpectedly. If you are offering live broadcasting I think there should be more support available, not just email. Need to fix multiple bug issues.

Never without the music I need. As a collector it is important to stay connect to all the sources available. MIXLR app now allows me to conduct day to day while staying in touch with all my music around the world. Thanks MIXLR

Great apps for music lovers. Love the apps because you get to listen and share with anyone on the go. Great apps.

Amazing App!. But I think that the only things it needs r a better recording system and not only live but also recorded music.

No labels on buttons. The programmer did not provide alternative text for the buttons. This makes the app inaccessable to blind users. This would be a quick fix and if changed I might give it a higher rating.

Unable to Connect. I try to start the app but it says it’s unable to connect and asks me to make sure I have an internet connection. I’ve tried over celular data and wi-fi and it gives me the same error message. What’s going on?

Great App 👍🏽👍🏽. Suggestion : Ability to auto-connect broadcast channel you’re following as soon as it goes live. Device: iOS 12.1.2

Annoying App. Mixlr will not allow me to turn off email notifications. For every channel I have liked, I receive an email every time they go live and the app continues to do this no matter how many times I try to stop this. So many emails!! It should be intuitive and easy to unsubscribe from email bombardment.

Profile problem. Love the live audio streaming quality on this, but I've a problem editing my profile, it won't let me upload a profile pic in the app, nor in my browser on my iPad. Why?

Initially.... ...an asscramp. Looked like a cool idea, and really wanted to use it as a daily morning broadcasted musical muse log. Wasted close to an hour trying to figure it out and have it work properly. No one likes to be sent something that requires a download to see or hear. Unless I'm missing something, this is exactly the kind a app that's loathable.

Great app when shows work. Concept is great. However, there is no way to tell if a live show should be heard or not. No indicators and wasted time trying to get it to work only to find out the shows I wanted to hear wouldn't work on app version of iPhone. Frustrating. Otherwise decent concept.

Good app, but!. Good app but it's needs a iPad app and also we need to be able to play music from the app not just live casts! Upgrade those two things and it is the best app out!

Great app for hearing music. I dig this app for the multitude of music options. Especially the bands that broadcast live performances. I’d give it 5 stars if they made an Apple TV version. Since the tv is now the home portal for entertainment it really makes sense to have a compatible app.
