Love the app. I’m an licensed installer & have installed many Permaconn PM45 units & both myself & my clients love the app. It switches their Security Alarm System on/off plus has a history of which User did what at what time. Excellent. No problems whatsoever with the app for some time now.

Not worth the cost. Paid $1.49 for what is just an on/off switch. This app should automatically alert you when alarm is triggered and also has the ability to send a panic alarm to the monitoring company in emergency

Slow feedback. The feedback/update whether alarm is armed or not is slow. After arming the alarm it's take ages to update and if screen turns off its doesn't arm

Please don't buy this????. I recently bought this useless app from App Store by reading the 2014 reviews. Honestly it's not even arm and disarm the system. Please people don't waste your money on dodgy products like this. I recon the developers have not done any updates to this app recently.

Simple. It's a simple app. It arms and disarms the alarm, but would be good for it to include instant notifications for when the alarm has gone off as well as what zone was breached.

Not worthy. Paid app but can’t even arm and disarm alarm. Need to activate alarm manually in-store. Very frustrating.

Workable, needs improvement. The app allows you to turn your alarm on and off remotely which is good, however the app doesn’t notify you that the alarm has been tripped.

Totally unreliable. 9/10 times fails to work. And that’s about it.

Pocket secure. As an installer. I use this regularly. It works perfectly on most alarm panels if enabled by your installer/service provider. However I am having trouble getting it to work with DSC NEO panels. No need for the + version the $1.50 one does all you need.

Does what it should.. Licensed security installer with hundreds of the Permaconn units in the field. We offer this app to most clients for free (cost of the app to developer applies naturally). We have had no complaints in over 3 years. It arms and disarms their alarm remotely for free and allows them to view user arm/ disarm history. Something they cannot do remotely without adding expensive interfaces to their alarm. The Permaconn is the best solution for making an existing or future alarm system have NBN communications compatibility. As having your alarm trust the internet for communications to a control room is asking for trouble. Seems to be a lot of disgruntled users that likely are having issues with their actual alarm and firing off poor reviews before actually diagnosing the issue. I’ve not experienced these issues and oversee hundreds more than they do. I call user error! Thanks Permaconn. Always easy to deal with and go out of your way if any tech issues. Glad to support such a great company! A+.

Unreliable. This app only works around 60% of the time - other times it fails to connect. Needs some significant improvement.

The worst. This app is slow, takes 1-5 minutes to actually turn an alarm on , if you get out of the app while in this process it doesn’t set . Horrible to use very slow

Name change. App works really well, I can’t say I have had any issues with the way it works. However, there is a weird bug that’s cropped up as a result of the name. Since iOS 15 any time I try to type 10 in an application where autocorrect would work, it changes it to 1.0. It turns out that it’s because I have an app installed that contains the digit 1, ie this one. I know that the bug isn’t of your making, but maybe a name change from 1 to One might save some frustration!

Plus version. $9 a month subscription is way way way too much.

Not much for your money. I paid $1.49 for the app that is basically just an on/off switch. It wont even notify me if the alarm detects motion, unless I pay $8.99 per month for the privilege. I have other motion detection devices in/around my home with free apps that notify me of any detection without any additional fees. Motion detection notification should be an inclusion in the app without additional fees. A bit of a ripoff.

Needs more features. This would be so much better if it supported the Apple Watch to enable/disable my alarm. Siri Shortcuts would be nice too. It could also support geofencing so if all phones were out of the house it automatically armed the alarm and vice versa.

The app doesn’t allow you to partial arm your premises. The one major let down with the app is you are not able to partial arm your premises via the app. You can do so on your keychain remote, but not the app. So if you’re away from home and wish to partial arm your premises, you can’t. It’s defeats the purpose of having the app where you can turn off the partial arm via the app but you can’t arm it up with the partial arm. Wish the developers would listen to their customers and would add this feature. You’re essentially purchasing an app that only does half of its capabilities.

Doesn’t Work. Does not arm or disarm even when sitting at home with a full speed NBN connection - a total waste of time and money - don’t waste your money buying

Don't like the update. Needs latest iOS to work properly.

Very basic. Would be good to be able to receive notifications of activations etc. this app barely replicated the features on my remote control!

Must be the limited edition; limited functionality. Very very simple app that makes basic operation a breeze but falls disappointingly short of offering any different functions and settings. Based on feedback from previous versions of this app it seems to be a problem with a lazy app developer. Not worth the money paid unfortunately.

Worst App Ever. It only has one job to do. Switch on and off and can’t even do that. I contacted the developers nearly 2 months ago about reliability issues and no one bothered to respond. Don’t waste your time with this dog.

Crashes all the time. The app crashes all the time. Times out when trying to use the app to arm the alarm and won’t actually arm it.

Bit basic. Certainly seems to report status of alarm and turn it on or off. I would like the app to be able to manage more than one alarm, eg home and work.

Shortcuts Support. I wish this app had support for Shortcuts to allow for automations. Of course HomeKit would be great too.

Horrible app. The app doesn’t work at all, I can never activate or desactívate the alarm. I had to always do it manually. It is a waste of money

not compatible with newer iphone. just bought this app and it will not let me log in, other members of my family are able to log in with older models of iPhone. please fix this as it seems like i have wasted $1.49 on nothing.

Awful app!. Won’t actually arm the alarm! Crashes whilst trying to do it! Pointless

Takes too long to activate, didn’t advise what alarm state is in. Only On or Off. Takes a long time to switch the alarm on and off. Does tell you what state the alarm is in. Just armed or not. Doesn’t advise if alarm has been triggered. Disappointed

Good App but can’t change contact details. Had this for 6 years and has worked well. But I now have new contact details and it won’t let me change my prodile

Useless. This is such a disappointing App, constant issues with connection and times out. Recommended by RACV Security for remote operation of alarm, but doesn’t meet expectations. Find another way.

Does what it’s meant to. Doesn’t do a lot compared to V2 but it does what it is meant to. ELK systems etc need a bit of reprogramming to tell the key switch to send open and closes as if it’s a user.

Apple Watch. Adapt for Apple Watch would be wonderful

Works, basic functions. App does what it needs to do. Arm dis-arm.

Slow and doesn’t reset. When it is working, the communications time from alarm to app and vice versa is excruciatingly slow. It makes knowing whether an alarm is set or disarmed a long wait, with certainty it has worked at all. Also, once the app gets out if sync with the alarm, there is no short way to reestablish sync. All told, forget the app.

Slow. Sooooo slow to arm disarm the system. Also has only on and off, no notifications of a trip alarm and no partial arming

Works. Works very simplistically. Would like option of arming in either home or away modes

more off than on. Unable to connect to pocket secure most of the time. Pleasantly surprised when able to connect. Not of the first water, rather poor.

High risk when phone losing. Better have password to lock and unlock, too risky if u lost the phone

Arm / disarm button missing?. In the latest update the button to remote arm / disarm is missing? Otherwise love the app

Too basic. It does what it says it does - so if simply switching your alarm on and off is all you need then go for it. I'd like it to do more: - send me notifications if the alarm is activated - have geofencing capabilities. I.e. If my alarm is activated and I leave a preset radius around my home and then return the app should automatically open and present the Disarm option - allow timed auto arming/disarming of the alarm

Does what it needs to perfectly. Works every time perfectly. Customers love it and I have picked up work upgrading alarm systems.

Notifications.. It could do more like standard notifications when system is armed and disarmed. Also is not an effective app if it does not allow for partial arming Should be able to be hooked up to a video system as well Not really convinced that it’s worth the money I spent getting this service.

Useless. Absolutely useless app and product Permaconn does not work and they don’t respond to email problems. RACV should dump them
