An Extra Perk. I have had checkout 51 for a couple years now. I have tried other apps but I have found this app to he the most user friendly. The 1st year I joined it was a short couple months and I received my first rebate check! Now I find less and less items I would buy or have even heard of. I had a problem with not receiving credit for an item, just a couple months ago. I wrote to the company and shared my proof of purchase again and they responded right away and apologized for their mistake! I have to give a company like that credit for their prompt response and willingness to admit & correct. I really like this app but wish there was more everyday items to be redeemed!!

Worst app in the world. I love money saving apps like ibotta and SavingStar, and I used to like Checkout 51. Now I hate it. It’s always been inferior to ibotta and other apps in terms of design and the variety of offers. But it has really gotten worse in the last several months. There are never any offers to claim b/c if you’ve ever even clipped an offer in another app, Checkout 51 shows you “0 remaining” for that offer. In other words, the language “cannot use this offer with any other print or in-app coupon or rebate” doesn’t just prevent double-dipping on deals when buying one item of a product. No. According to Checkout 51 customer service, it means that if you’ve ever “clipped, claimed or redeemed” offers on “another savings app or website, they will no longer be available for you on Checkout 51 and will display as ‘0 remaining’ even when the new offer week just started.” It’ll be unavailable even if you never actually redeem the offer elsewhere!!! What a waste of time. Unless you are willing to make Checkout 51 your one and only app, it’s completely worthless. In my mind, it’s the worst app of it’s kind, and I will be closing my account.

Frustrating. I use to not have any problems with this app, but for the last few month it seems like every receipt is an argument. Once you scan a barcode and circle it for them, that should be the end of the discussion. But no, every receipt has to be argued out to 3 or 4 reviews. I can't even imagine how many pictures of my fridge these people have just from me having to submit my claims 2 or 3 times every time. It's so annoying. If your employees can't see an item on a receipt, then just make scanning barcodes part of your app. No other rebate app is this much of a pain. Also their "double dip prevention" is just getting creepy. Did you claim it in another app? Did you use a coupon? Did your store have the item on sale? Was there a discount involved? Don't worry Checkout 51 KNOWS!!! It always knows!!! And even when you haven't done anything, it assume you have. Muahahaha. Creepy.

Disappointed. Downloaded this app shockingly without reading the reviews, should of just read them from the beginning and avoided it completely but anyway, I was kind of excited when I uploaded my first receipt, until just moments later I got a notification saying it was rejected or unable to process. When I tried to tap on it to see why it did not go through the app just kept closing on me completely and taking me to my home screen! Besides the fact that I can relate with other reviewers that many of the redeemable offers are things people don’t normally buy. So... yea very disappointed I waisted my time, I was really looking forward to using an app that can help me save on every day items, but honestly I’m not surprised in companies like this that say one thing but give you another and really don’t help save at all. Already deleted the app and will stick to coupons and sales in stores.

Best site for receipt cashing but…problems.. I use such sites to cash out my shopping via receipts submitted… This checkout51 has been one of my favorites along with Ibotta and receipt hog. The clicks are fastly responded with quick and right payments. And you can cash out easily too. Only new problem or caveat is : lately, checkout51 has very very few items of their own / w. limited choices - to use for cashing out. Also, the items are connected to buy from a particular store too. Thus you are stuck. So, it’s only those “few open to all stores “ items- every new Thursday you wait for. I wish they can add more products /grocery items/ seasonal as well… just like Ibotta. Yes, the site’s payment is fast And there are no other hassles. App is Very fast / simple to use. I will probably not use this app. Maybe use Very less or not at all. Not liking it much now. Thankyou. Rs.

Customer support is zero. I’ve been using this app for years and they don’t approve your receipts from Walmart or any other store if they don’t have the exact same brand title spelled out since some store abbreviate on their receipts. This is the only ap like this that doesn’t have an option to scan an items barcode which would easily eliminate this reoccurring issue. So you can prove that you purchased the correct items. I fact Walmart has a barcode on the bottom of their receipts that other apps like Ibotta can scan to verify your items. Instead this app someone looks at your receipts and tries to read them to verify purchases. And customer support doesn’t care to listen or double check so your money doesn’t add up. User beware, you’re much better off using Ibotta or any other money savings app that’s not stuck in the Stone Age or you’ll be wasting your time.

Won’t be using this app anymore. With the offers this app has, it is very hard to get to the $20 requirement for cash out. Took me over a year to get there because the products do not change often from week to week, or if they do it is products I literally have never heard of or use. I recently started doing the online grocery order for pickup at Walmart, figured I’d get some of the brands of hair products on Checkout 51 that I have never used just because it was $1.50 cash back for each (even though they were more expensive than the brands I normally get), and when I uploaded my e-receipt it was denied. Why you ask? Because it was an e-receipt... Apparently they don’t accept those even though it has the exact same info as a regular in-store receipt. Not gonna waste my time anymore with this app and going to check out (no pun intended, hehe) others.

Not worth Download. It just is not worth it. They’ve declined my receipts several (over 20) for approval of the rebates I purchased on the receipt. I’ve gotten $100+ back from iBotta in 6 weeks. Been 7 weeks and I have only $4. And I’ll say this: I go shopping for both individual apps such as checkout 51 and purchase only rebate items and when I submit my receipts I should ha s $5-$10. But since November of doing this every two days bc I Shop a lot ... I have gotten pretty much nothing to be credit to my account. IBotta is same concept just much better bc u can actually make enough to cash out within a month...... Feel free to email me $ or $10-$20 credit Checkout 51 and I will update this review... but as of now.... you’ve turned down a good $30 of rebates that I would never take the time to go through and point out again.... it’s bad when a customer has 1-5 receipts a day submitted and after 6 months can’t get $5 when you need $20 to cash out ...

Its ok.... Of all the apps Ive tried, Checkout51 is the Worst with scanning time frames. It’s *At Most* a Week, BUT they run specifically Thursday to Wednesday. SO, if you shop on a Tuesday or Wed. and forget to scan your receipt THAT Night, you lose out on any cash back! Very Lame. [Receipt Pal is a close second.. they start Their week on Sunday, and you have until the following Tuesday to submit receipts. So up to 10 days at most - But Still, if you forget to scan your Monday shopping trip by The Next Day, you lose out on those points...] There should be a minimum of 7-days-from-purchase for all these savings apps. Better yet 14 days - because we all have lives and get busy! Especially with a pandemic. Kelloggs so far is the best with a 30-day time frame (unless it changed recently..).

4 out of 5. I actually still enjoy using Checkout 51. They’re stricter on limits for items, but it’s better than nothing. There’s a lack as far as selections for their items offered. I would recommend this product to a friend though. The added feature to filter by store is great! I guarantee that over time Checkout 51 will only get better. There’s a lot of bad reviews recently, but I think Checkout 51 is still worth my time. I would probably get more out of it if there were more popular items offered, but the products offered are better than nothing. Keep up the good work! I like seeing the added features here and there.

Love this app but could improve. I love using this app! Its real simple and it give instructions to submit your receipts. I even love that once in a while they’ll have videos you can watch to earn a couple extra cents. However, I gave it a 4 star rating because of the offers they have. I check it quite often but usually they have things that I would never want to buy or have never seen so wouldn’t even know which store to find it at. The offers are hit or miss and if you want to partake in a popular one, you need to do it the day it comes out. I love the Pampers deals that have finally popped up! They only thing I don’t understand is why some of the offers say not to be combined with other offers? It gets super annoying when you really want to save some money.

Gas rebates are a pain to collect. I mostly used the app for their gas rebates. Their offers were the best compared to other gas apps. It worked great for a couple months. Then something changed with their computer system. After that they started giving rebates about 95% less than advertised. I would always have to email back to get the proper rebate. I would often have to resend the receipt that they already had. Eventually they would see the problem and manually correct the rebate. I had to do this for about 10 consecutive receipts. Eventually I got tired of always having to fight with them just for a few bucks so I cashed out and closed my account. Overall, beware of their gas rebates. If you decide to try it then be ready for a fight. Update: I just complained to the company about all the problems they have given me. I asked to just close my account if they can’t correct their problems. They closed my account with no apology or attempt to try to give them another shot. Beware of these guys.

Savings For Christmas Shopping. As a mom of four, I have to plan ahead to budget for Christmas. I love using Checkout 51 because I get cash back for Items I’m buying anyway. I leave my earnings in my Checkout 51 until almost Christmas and then cash out. The only negative aspect of this app is a lot of times I see an offer I intend to buy but they are all used up before I even go shopping. Other rebate/coupon apps allow you to activate the offer and it’s yours to use, as long as you use by the expiration date. I really wish Checkout 51 would consider updating to that type of offer. However, I do recommend this app to all my friends. I mean you can’t complain about free cash :)

Must Be Fast!. I love this APP & I’ve saved a lot of $$...Thanks to “Checkout 51”! For that reason, I would’ve easily given “Checkout 51” a five star rating, but the reason for my four star rating is...I’ve been having problems w/the availability of the rebates! Whenever I get excited because i see a offer for an item that I will be purchasing, I get ready to add the offer on my list, then I see that it says “0” (meaning I will not be able to get the extra savings that I could’ve, because the offer has reached the limit)! And what’s frustrating is...now w/more & more people finding out & using “Checkout 51”, I’ve noticed that majority of the offers on their APP, have reached the limit (especially if it’s a popular item)! The other thing I feels their APP needs work on is...when the offer is no longer available, it still shows up w/all the other available offers. I would prefer it if they would remove the offers that are no longer available! Other than that, this is a GREAT APP to save $$, & it’s REALLY SUPER EASY TO USE!!! One more important thing to remember...it’s not “Checkout 51’s” fault for running out of rebates. Every offer has a limit from the manufacturer, & when that limit is reached, then that offer is no longer available on “Checkout 51”. That’s why when a new week starts, you gotta be fast, before they run out!

App has turned to CRAP!. I have used Checkout 51 for several years, but after finally reaching that $20 mark again - I am deleting! It took months to rebate that last few dollars so I could cash out. Earlier this year I contacted support because all of my items were “0” remaining and nothing seemed to be updating. I was told to delete and reinstall and that should fix the problem. It did not. It wasn’t until I read reviews that I found out “0” remaining is because Checkout 51 is scanning your other rebate apps and don’t want to you to claim duplicate rebates on the same item. I’m ok with that, what I’m not ok with is that those items will remain as ”0” even after they are no longer available on another app. Ibotta and SavingStar both have rebates that reappear after claiming, but not Checkout 51.... “0” is what you get. The offers that aren’t “0” remaining are food & cleaning items I don’t use or booze, plenty of booze! I’m also not ok with being denied a rebate because the store has a sale that discounts an item that Checkout 51 has a rebate on, store discount and manufacturer discount are two completely different things. This app might work for some but certainly not for me any longer! If you do try this app, if you keep it and make it to $20 for a rebate, the checks (yes checks) do come in the mail in about two weeks.

Started out good, now not so much. They rarely have offers I’m interested in so it takes me a long time to get to $20 to cash out. Usually when there is a good offer I will buy as many as the it allows, usually 5. Lately I’ve had a lot of trouble getting full credit. Every time I submit a receipt that has multiple of the same item I will get an email that says they can’t find all of the items on my receipt. Even when all the items are right together on the receipt I’ve gotten this. How can they not find all the items if they are all right together? They have a review process where I can circle the items and resubmit but even then sometimes they still deny it.

Good luck redeeming. Last week, I checked my phone before heading to the grocery store. I marked three offers to redeem, went to the store and purchased the items. When I came home, I pulled out my receipt to redeem the purchases. However, the offers were no longer available. I contacted customer service and was informed that the brand partner told Savings 51 that I had used Smart Source or Kroger app to clip additional coupons. I have no Smart Source app and the coupon was only redeemable at Wegman’s. I went out of my way to go specifically to a Wegman’s rather than target, which is 20 minutes closer. I explained this to customer service. After a week, I was told “Sorry. Not our problem. The offer has now expired.” There is no point in a cash back app when you don’t know if you can redeem your purchases. Don’t waste your time.

Takes a long time because the offers are “limited”. Like others before me, the downfall of this grocery cashback program is they only offer a limited amount of rebates on a first come first serve basis and you could be shopping for something in the storm by the time you get home the Rebate is no longer available. I also get frustrated that it seems they can clear out the offer once it’s gone so it’s just a very cluttered page of items that seem to taunt you. There are definitely a lot of other better choices but I still hold on to Checkout 51 because you just never now every site does offer different items. However if you are looking to reduce having to print out coupons then check out 51 is not the grocery rebate app that you wanna use because you’re better off clipping a coupon most of the time the offers that were very very quickly and it does take a very long time to cash out.

Big brother alert. Useless app. Blocks offers that are duplicated in other apps (big brother). Half of my offers are for stores not even in my state. Why does it big brother for content but not location? Another update: Do not be deceived by developer response: this app will BLOCK some duplicate offers for products offered in other apps!! Defeats purpose of saving $ AND acts as Big Brother. No thank you! Update: Deleting this app; it not only tells you that some offers cannot be used with any other coupons or discounts but also actually makes offers completely unavailable that are duplicated in other apps! This is in no way a manufacturer decision; otherwise, the discounts would be merely reduced or not offered at all. No thanks; too big brother for me. Review from 2014: Yea, another shopping app, but it is DIFFICULT to use. *Twice*, I have had a legitimate purchase rejected. Once I can kind of see, but the second time for the same product tells me they do NOT have a “learning database” to correct issues. One week, *THREE* of my offers were rejected, and they took over 48 hrs AFTER my dispute to correct the “oversight.” Cash-out check (finally) took a WEEK to process and another WEEK to arrive: have they heard of e-payment or instant transfer??? Neither a time-saver nor consumer-friendly.

7 years to cash out!. I downloaded this app 7 years ago and have only been able to reach a cash out limit once, about a month ago. I’m surprised by the hype and the star ratings. But if you are willing to buy everything on their 20 item list that is eligible for cash back, then I guess it works. But if you are like me and want more options for cash back products and guarantee cash back, then switch to Ibotta, Fetch, And Reciept Pal. I am able to cash out every few months and know it’s worth it every time. I’m embarrassed that I spent all those years wasting it on an app that literally took forever to finally cash out. Not any more! I’m glad I learned my lesson and found better options. Hopefully Checkout 51 will catch up these other cash back apps and do better. But until then, I won’t be wasting my time with them anymore.

Not as happy as I once was. I still enjoy Checkout 51 but not like I used too. I feel Checkout 51 is becoming the coupon police. I’ve noticed that if something shows up on Checkout 51 and another app on the phone; the offer on Checkout 51 tends to either get sold out or reached its limit of redemptions if you just activate the other offer. If the manufacturers are the issue then why are these limits only placed on Checkout 51? Also if and item has no more rebates available, why does it continue to show up week after week? The list gets really long with rebates you can’t take advantage of. I’m like the other reviewer; I’m probably going to delete the app as well.

An “AWESOME” App!!! 😃. I love the fact you get paid to grocery shop and fill up your tank. I have only had the App for a couple of weeks now and my cash back is adding up! The only suggestions I have are: - Show product prices for all the stores in your area. - Build a coupon section into the app, wether it works on cash back products or products that you don’t get cash back on. - Build a learning/healthy foods game into the app for your kids to play while shopping. As a bonus earn rewards that you can use on your transaction, wether it be in the form of coupons, rebates, raffle tickets or extra cash back.

Too many 0 remaining. I’ve been using checkout 51 for a while now and it’s was great at first. However the number of offers that quickly become 0 remaining in the last few months has been on the rise. Today there are 31. Yesterday Udi’s bread showed up as an offer and by 9:30 this morning there were 0 remaining. One would hope it would reset the next week but the rebates with 0 remaining could stay posted for weeks. If you aren’t offering it because you’ve run out then please remove it from the list. Honestly, I prefer SavingStar’s method where if you select the offer it’s yours to use or not use and if they have exceeded the limit then you can’t activate it. It gets frustrating to plan to use a rebate to have it quickly disappear. Please figure a different process out.

Really enjoying this app. Been on this app since more or less this past mid-October. When I got started the only product for which they offered cash back that I was both familiar with AND bought in the past was 4505 chicharrones (pork rinds) - disappointed they discontinued it but hope they will bring it back. When it was offered there was a $2 cash back offer for ONE multiple serving bag with 5 maximum chances per deal period/week and I routinely amassed $6-10 per deal period just on 4505 chicharrones. Then I got introduced to this Asian food specialty brand called Ocean's Halo. Miso-pho-ramen is miso-pho-ramen is miso-pho-ramen, except when you have to buy 2 packs of the Ocean's Halo brand on the same receipt for $5 cash back from spending $8-11 (practically a semi-investment). Ditto with Ocean's Halo kelp/de-salinated sea water drinks (2 bottles on the same receipt for essentially $6 with a $2.99 cash back award)

Cheating. I use this app for long time when I make couple bucks they suspend my account telling me that they find that I scan some receips against the rules. Tell me that I cheating and how we are can cheat on this app I don’t understand They lied to me to not give me my money I know that because I never scan receipts Like that, I know a lot of the people and a lot of my friends who told me to not use this app, because they have this app before, when they make money they suspend their account just do not give him back money they make, they find fake the reason ,cheating lying to the people not give their money back on this app and never receive anything from it, and four of my cousins have been happen same, this is so sad how can cheat the people like this ,you working hard for months to make a couple bucks and then they don’t want it to giving you back that money you earned.

Not one of the better apps. If you’re looking for a cash back app, there are so many better than this one. Poorly organized, and not updated to show offers you no longer qualify for, you will get offers rejected often. I was told I had redeemed an offer 5 times. Did I? I have no idea. But if I was not eligible, why is it there? Another time, I had one rejected because it ran out (all the fixed number of claims were issued). Again, why was it still there? If you use it, ONLY use this app for something you were already going to buy. If you’re lucky, MAYBE you’ll get the promised cash back. Update - Now they are rejecting a claim because they ‘couldn’t find the item or I used a coupon’. Those are two very different situations to address. Since I didn’t use a coupon, I sent it back circling the purchase. It was rejected again. I figure they must have mistaken my big gulp discount for a coupon. I don’t know who a 7-11 Rewards discount on a Big Gulp could be mistaken for a Lenny & Larry cookie coupon, but I have submitted this for the third time. This app is strictly amateur. Why am I still using it? I ask myself that same question. The only answer I can come up with is, I probably shouldn’t be.

It’s ok. So...the app is OK. You do have to submit your receipts right away because of their strict date policies. The problem I have with this app is the products available for rebate. It’s either a bunch of products I would never purchase or products I would purchase but are only available for rebate at certain stores that are nowhere in my area. Not every store on this app is located in every city. Another thing is, I do not shop at Walmart and a lot of the rebates are available only at Walmart. And at that they run out super fast. It takes so long to get money saved up for redemption. Also, I feel like it’s slow. Is, it’s just not like other apps (Ibotta, coupons etc.) In my opinion, a massive improvement is needed and a huge revamp is necessary to make it more user-friendly and more competitive with other apps.

False advertising, worse customer support. This app has gone bye bye. They know that somewhere in past I bought a product, yet they still provide exact same offers every week and make that product available. I buy it because of their advertising and they tell me “you’ve already redeemed in past” and won’t give rebate even though it said “available”. This app does false advertising. I know 17 ppl already who have same issue. Everyone is closing the app because it’s pointless as they give same offers for months and you might or might not have bought that item a year or 2 ago but they still tell you that you’ve redeemed. I ended up returning items. This is a scam, illegal advertising app and don’t recommend to anyone. They blame all app glitches onto a customer ALWAYS. There are better, more loyal apps like Ibotta and SavingStar. I never had any issues for years.

It’s just okay. Yes, I do enjoy occasionally being able to save a dollar or 2, but sometimes I do get pretty frustrated with this app. The products seem to hardly ever change and there ends up being products that, in my opinion, people don’t really ever buy or use. On top of that, common things like Advil, Tylenol, bandaids, or even paper towels and toilet paper can only be bought at sams club or dollar general. Not saying it’s all the time, but more often than not for the first 3 things I mentioned. About the products hardly ever changing, I’m specifically talking about the beverages, home and personal care items. I think I’ve been using this for about a year, and the same or almost the same lotions, perfume gift sets, beer, wine, etc. are always on there. It’s almost like they purposely put things on here that people don’t buy! And yes, I have emailed about this a few times and they change things for about one week and then it goes back to the same. Because of this, it takes FOREVER to even reach $20. In the year that I’ve been using this, I can only remember getting 1, maybe 2 checks.

Could be better. The app is fairly easy to use. I’ve been disappointed with many of the offers though. Not a great number of deals available and not many new offers come available. I’ve had the app a month and not many of the offers have changed. Also, not a lot of products I’m all that interested in. I also had an issue with a claim. There was an issue with the barcode on the product I bought so the product didn’t show up appropriately on the receipt. It showed up as “merchandise” as the cashier had to manually enter the product and so the claim did not go through and I did not get the cash back from the deal. There is a review process where I can circle the item on the receipt in case they miss it in their initial review, but of course all I could circle was the “merchandise” line and not something that matched the product name. In the review process, I’d enjoy an option where I could explain what happened and take a picture of the product or its barcode. The only reason I bought the product was because after the rebate, it would have been cheaper than a competing product... I just ended up paying more than planned and would have just bought the cheaper competition instead if I knew the claim wouldn’t go through. Just hasn’t been what I had hoped for but tough to complain too much about a free app.

One of the best apps ever!!. I am skeptical about the claims of apps in general. This one? I have not been disappointed! I follow the instructions, take notes of the specific items, snapping pics of my receipts then wait for the email confirmation that money was added to my account. I especially like how I can go thru all the items for that week and add them to “my list”. Then I don’t have to think about which items I will claim. Some weeks, there is only one item I claim, but over time, even multiple .50 claims add up!! One day, after months of using Checkout 51, I reached over $100 in my account!! I cashed out using the simple instructions, and guess what?? I received my check as promised!! We needed it to pay a recent bill too! If you shop and you want to save money, this app is for you!!!

Almost useless now. I used to enjoy using Checkout51. Not anymore. They are being really aggressive now in the measures they take to make sure you don't "double dip" savings on the same product across apps. I'm not talking about when you try to claim an offer with Checkout51 AFTER you've claimed it on another app like ibotta -- I'm talking about even when you activate an offer on ibotta and if it features the same product for a similar offer in Checkout51, Checkout51 will deny you access to that offer by labeling it with a "claimed limit" stamp -- BEFORE you even buy the product or claim the offer on the other app or any app. How ridiculous is that?! In response to your inquiry they will claim it's all manufacturer's decision blah blah. Yes blame it all on the manufacturers. I find that hardly convincing. Another recent change for the bad Checkout51 has adopted is locking up the 25cents fresh produce offers. You'll have to meet a certain saving $ threshold to unlock those offers for the NEXT week. In the past when I rarely found anything interesting on their long rebate offer list, the only reason I kept the app was that at least I could still save a couple of dimes on bananas or lettuce etc no matter where I bought them. With this any brand produce offer going away on top of the new intrusive restrictions on savings I will most likely be deleting this app very soon.

Worst of it’s kind. I thought this would be ok for a couple bucks here and there. The quality and diversity of the products is much lower than similar apps. (Edit due to typo) $20 cash out threshold is hard to get on this ap. My main problem is the disappearing offers... I’ve had multiple times where I looked at the offers right before going to the store, just to have them say ”0” available a short while later when I get back home and want to redeem. Of course, 51 will take no responsibility for it while they pass the blame on product manufacturers. I would ask, why don’t any of the other big rebate apps get these unicorn “weekly quotas”??? And what ever you do... don’t complain to them. Nicely voiced my frustration about the disappearing rebates.... got a canned response that had nothing to do with what I was asking about. Then, found out my account was suspended from redeeming. Screw these guys! Edit: Notice how the developers response is canned and makes no mention of the problems I addressed except to push off the blame.

This app is a scam! Stay away & don’t waste your time.. I previously submitted a review indicating that this app is very restrictive and it’s competitors are much better and get you way more money. Now I am adding to that review because this app is deceptive and has horrible customer service. I attempted uploading a receipt from an online order (which the instructions clearly say is acceptable) only to get my submission denied. Then once I finally reached the $20 threshold to qualify for a payout, I get an email confirming a check will be sent and then a week later get a vague email stating that my account has been suspended because my receipt “violated the terms and conditions”. I go into the app to see my check has been recalled. Seriously, do not waste your time on this piece or garbage! They stole my head-earned money! UPDATE: developer replied asking me to contact them. I did. Twice. No response. Sent them a message on Twitter, still no response. Just horrible.

It’s Not Worth It. Checkout 51 use to be one of my favorite apps. Unfortunately, I’m now at a point where I’m just looking to claim offers to cash out for the last time. It is happened to me for months where I will have offers saved to redeem, and by the time I leave the grocery store, minutes after I activate the offers, they are already claimed. It is extremely frustrating. Checkout 51 launches their offers on Thursday. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve tried to go to the grocery store as early as I can on Thursday morning, and the offers are still claimed. I’ve emailed support about this and they have been extremely unhelpful. I also mentioned that my offer feed is filled with offers that are already at their claim limit, and that is a bug that should be examined. They note this issue to be a good thing for consumers - because you know what you can claim and what you cannot. Unfortunately, until last week, I haven't been on able to claim an offer for nearly 6 months. Also, it’s important to note that you cannot do a PayPal transfer like other apps. You will receive a check once you hit $20 and cash out. It’s very antiquated.

Hard to earn a lot. I've been using this app for about 7 months now and only have earned about half of what I need to cash out. Most of the products/deals that are offered don't appeal to me. The receipt scan is easy to use - easier than a competitors app, actually. But, twice now I have been told that the products either didn't qualify (when they did) or could not be found on the receipt (which they were.) This requires messaging support to get your dollar. I've been waiting a week now for my last tech support message to be returned. Not worth the effort to make money. I might try to earn my minimum and cash out, but then the app is getting deleted. [UPDATE] I have been using this app for several years and have earned as much as $87.

Worst app ever. No star to them. They suspended my account because i was redeeming more offers. I asked for a check and it took two weeks to send. When I reached to $50, they suspended my account saying that you violated our terms and condition. I emailed them back and asked what terms and conditions are violated by me? Send me a copy of my receipt and highlight your terms and conditions that have been violated by me. They never reply me back and still holding my money. I know that I haven’t done anything wrong besides redeeming more offers, which is not violating terms and conditions.I don’t understand what their problem is? At least be professional and reply back. I would suggest people to stop using this app because they don’t want to pay you when they found out that you’re redeeming more offers and have them pay you for that. Really disappointing with customer service and with all the inconvenience I had to face.

BEWARE!!! Unethical business practices!. BEWARE!!! I had an issue with an offer showing as available, I checked right before I purchased the item that it was still available, yet right as I submitted my receipt it said zero offers remaining and would not accept it! There was no warning like “not many left”, I thought maybe it was a glitch, wrote customer service and they could care less. Here is there response: “Quantities are limited for all offers, so hot offers like this one can run out quickly. Unfortunately, there are no rebates left for that offer. We encourage our members to refresh the app before and while purchasing the item, and upload their receipt right away to avoid disappointment.” Ha! I did just that. They are unethical and do not honor any glitches such as I had. I’m close to cashing out, once I do, I am not going to use this app. I just end up buying things that I end up paying more for because I don’t receive credit for the item. This has happened to me several times, even when taking precautionary measures such as verifying the offer is available and submitting my receipt right away. I’m done with your games Checkout 51! Very unethical business practices!

App won’t stay open on my iPhone 7. I’ve used this app since it first became available. I’ve never had a problem with it. Suddenly today it won’t stay open on my phone. I tap it to get started as usual. It start to come up the disappears & I’m back to my phones home screen. I’ve tried looking online to get some help but didn’t find any answers or any way to contact the company for help. I’m not even sure how much I have in my account but I’m afraid if I delete the app & reinstall it I’ll lose whatever I’ve built up. Can I get some help please? Are you having a problem with the app today or is it my phone? I’ve tried opening it thru the App Store it still did the same thing. I also use Ibotta & Fetch rewards & they are working fine. Hoping to hear back. Thanks.

Great money saving app. BUT ..... Had this app for a few months and my only complaint is the continuous repetition of the same products week after week. Very little variety.....same products over and over, with an occasional item addition, not like Ibotta that adds new items every few days. I got really excited when I saw 2 new items FINALLY added to their list that I was going to buy anyway but missed out when I wasn’t fast enough to get to the store to buy them. The manufacturer’s limit had been reached, so my advice is to quickly claim an offer and buy it immediately. There are also a lot of rebate items that are not commonly purchased and/or limited popular branded named products. Still, this is a great app to save money if you can take advantage of the offers. Hoping that the developers can add more items every week to enhance the saving experience.

Meh. I’ve been using CheckOut51 in addition to numerous other receipt/cash back apps. I’d say roughly for every $25 I accrue on similar apps, I accrue about $1 on CheckOut51 in comparison. This is mostly because the cash back offerings are minimal (usually about 40-50 of the same products for a few months at a time) and on seemingly very random/niche-type products. It’s definitely towards the bottom of my list in terms of favorite receipt scanning apps, but I have learned over the years how to make this app work for me specifically through redeeming gas deals. Again, it is specific in terms of having to pay with a debit or credit card and this being displayed on the receipt. For some reason, it takes about 5-7 days on average to be credited for each gas receipt, so that is probably the top thing I’d love to see a bit of improvement on. Also, I wish they’d broaden their product/brand offerings or at least switch it up more often! Overall, a decent app if you can find the hidden gems inside and/or happen to purchase the products offered on a regular basis!

Pointless rebate app. Don’t waste your time.. I liked C51 at first but now there’s really no point in keeping the app. I’ve never heard of a rebate app that can actually run out of rebates. They say it’s because the manufacturers of the products will only allow so many rebates but how is it that Ibotta NEVER has this issue? There have been countless times where I’ve added a rebate in Checkout 51 and then gone to the store within 20 minutes and right after I’m done and try to scan my receipt there are “0 remaining.” It’s ridiculous! Checkout 51 has made it nearly impossible to redeem rebates now. Every once in a while they’ll add the rebates again aside from their normal Thursday reset but even then it seems you only have a matter of seconds to redeem the popular rebates before they’re all gone. Unless you’re sitting on the app 24/7 at the store waiting for the offers to reset and checkout you’ll never be able to redeem. Saving Star is a better rebate app and that’s saying a lot! Last thing; you have to wait nearly a month to get your rebate check in the MAIL. Why can’t they do PayPal and make it simple?Think I’ll stick with Ibotta unless things change with Checkout 51.

Would be 5 so easily. I love this app I have made a lot of money off of the gas part. However recently I cannot get the gas offers to load as soon as I hit the gas offers it shut the app down. Everything else on the app seems to work but as soon as I hit the gas offers the app closes. I have looked for ways to contact customer support however it’s just a list of articles and none of them address my problem. I have logged out and log back in many times and also deleted the app and re-download it several times. None of these things have helped. I am losing out on gas money as a result. I cannot find a way to contact customer support which is a big negative

Frustrated to say the least. Well initially starting out using Checkout51 I really enjoyed it I was excited to upload receipts and then it got even better when they started offering cash back for gas purchasesAt gas stations near me one that I frequent at least 4 times a week. And then two weeks ago I did an update and now I’ve not been able to logon I press the icon for the application it opens up and closes up every time I’ve restarted my phone I’ve deleted the app altogether and then download it again and still so the update that was done “ a bug fix” CLEARLY DIDNT WORK!!! So now I wonder how much money I’ve missed out on and now what happens with the money that’s in my balance I mean it’s just under the $20 limit to be able to cash out which is what I would do is cash out and the deactivate my account completely but I can’t even do that conveniently overall extremely frustrating!!!! To say the very least!!! Especially when I used it DAILY!! 😡😡😡

Good for Gas but Slow Approval. This app is okay. I installed it years ago but almost never redeemed any offers, due to the very limited and random grocery offers available. They added cash back on gas about a year or so ago and I then started using it much more. I used to get my cash back on gas receipts after a day but they’ve since changed their process and it now takes a week or more. They’re also not always approved in the order they were redeemed. This can make it difficult to keep track of, because I’ll often redeem 2-3 gas receipts in a week and have to dig through emails to determine which ones were approved and which ones I’m still waiting on. Sometimes they also won’t approve and you’ll have to wait 10 business days just to be told to submit additional verification of purchase. The support team is helpful and I’ve pretty much always gotten any issues I’ve had resolved eventually but it would be nice if the process was a little quicker.

😐. This app was wonderful when I first started using it . Who doesn’t love some cash back on product you’ve purchased . But recently, I’ve bought products and then when I tried to redeem my offer , it said it was out of stock or there’s 0 remaining . When I add my offers from ibotta it also says that 0 are remaining , so I have to switch over and use ibotta . I recently tried to cash out for $184 , and when trying to cash out they suspended my account . If they had already honored my receipts and put the cash back into the “account” , how are they able to not pay me. When contacting them, since I find it pretty unfair that they suspended my account AFTER trying to cash it. I got an around the bush answer with you violated the terms and agreement . Asked them once more which term did I “violated” and got “by signing the terms and agreement , we are able to suspend your account due to the fact we’re not sure if you purchased the items. My friend also had the same issue when she tried to cash out for $346 for their trip her fiancé and her were taking. She has Yet gotten an email back from them . I’ve cashed out before (less than $50) and never had an issue . I wouldn’t recommend waiting cashing out for a large amount because it seems like they just want to suspend your account for trying to cash out any large amount of money .

Very upset. I submitted a claim for welch’s Frozen avocados and the offer did not say that it would not be valid at Walmart- I actually searched high and low for this product it seemed like wild goose chase”....I visited Bi Lo, Ingles, and then Publix....I could not believe that Publix carried frozen jack fruit, frozen rhubarb, frozen açaí....but no frozen avocado....finally I found it at Walmart and was excited to get my rebate and then checkout51 wouldn't honor it Because they said “this offer is not valid at Walmart” -BUT WALMART WAS THE ONLY PLACE I COULD BUY THE PRODUCT!!! I reached out to customer service and they refused to help and honor the rebate. This is about the last straw, as I have been fed up with the lack of offers on products I actually buy and the “strings attached” offers now in produce...I used to be able to get at least one rebate a shopping trip using the produce offers but not anymore. Very upset and disappointed.

Works but takes awhile to earn. Checkout 51 isn’t a bad app but it does have its glitches, specifically in the Survey department. Taking surveys through the app is a relatively new feature, but it’s very glitchy. Most of the surveys don’t load and I have to end up picking a different one. It’s almost like a treasure hunt to find out which survey will actually load. The surveys that do load, never pays the amount advertised. I’d say this department definitely needs improvements. The other features, like uploading receipts and watching videos works. Majority of the offers just don’t apply to what I buy. Therefore, it takes many months for me to reach the $20 cash out threshold. This isn’t the app’s fault, just something to note.

Getting a whole lot better. I have had Checkout 51 for quite some time, alongside my other savings apps. One thing that was lacking was a search function within the app to quickly look up and find products or categories without having to scroll through the entire list. This is a great time saver and has made the app much more user-friendly. I would suggest that another way to draw users and get attention would be to have more rebates on staple items, like bread, milk, eggs, cream cheese, ketchup, etc. Even a dime or a quarter is useful to get back and like one of the other reviewers said, it keeps us motivated to browse the app and use it when at least we have a generic offer like that available. In all, I’ve saved well over a thousand dollars on other apps and only $41 using Checkout 51, but I still use it every time I go to the store in hopes there are a couple items I can pick up through the app. Thanks for helping me save!

Must have. I like this app and it is well worth having. I haven’t earned no where near what I have through a different rebate app but any money back on groceries is a plus. I haven’t been able to cash out yet. I tried awhile back to have it put in my PayPal account (that’s an option for me) but I never received the email I was supposed to and when I contacted them they needed info (I didn’t have) order # transaction #,etc. I was told if I didn’t accept it in PayPal In 30 days it would go back to my Checkout 51 account. Well it did go back into my account but I’ve debated on trying again or just having them mail a check. Still recommend this app.

SCAM, AVOID. If you make any sort of money, they will permanently suspend your account, send you an email saying how you have violated their terms (will never say what rule you broke BECAUSE YOU DIDNT), and keep the money in your account. They will never respond to your email after that. Don’t even attempt to try touching this company, Scam at its finest likely with fake 5 star reviews.

Revoked sign in. The app allowed me to create an account using Apple ID and then a few hours later they revoked my account. Apparently I have to give them my email address to make an account instead of using Apple ID. They just want to collect our data to sell.

Hate the new update!. I dislike the new update! I hate scrolling left and right and having categories. Just a list all in one place is all you need. Made it way less user friendly.

Good concept but disappointing offers. I like this app and try to use it every week however the quality of products offered leaves something to be desired. I've also noticed that over time the variety of products offered has decreased as well. It's difficult to build up a credit when I purchase so few of the products that are listed every week. It's taken me about three years to get thirty bucks, so I'm going to cash out and delete the app. Not worth my time or phone space.

Love C51!. Been using for years and have saved a ton of money! Love the selection of products, however fresh meat, vegetables and fruits more often would be awesome! Maybe cashback to other stores for clothing, books, toys etc? The old snap saves app used to give cashback on toys! Awesome for Christmas time. Loved when you had regular sized chocolate bars on there too, I would stock up for Christmas stockings!

Why?. Why would you guys change the layout from something functional to utterly clumsy… 😭

Great way to save some $$$. I like using this app and try and use it weekly. I do find products tend to repeat especially hair care. I would like to see more grocery items like fresh fruit and vegetables and coffee, milk and bread more of the staple household grocery items. However I do like the $$$ I save on the products I do pick weekly. The app is so easy to use anyone can do it

Waste of time. It's kinda annoying that you have to take a picture of the receipt, then go through their list of cash back items check the item(s) that you bought and then scan the bar codes of each item.. seem like a waste of time for .25 if you ask me...

Good Idea But Takes Too Much Time. When I saw the ad for this app I thought I just needed to take the picture of my receipt, and the app was supposed to do the rest, but it turns out I have to browse through hundreds of deals and find the ones I bought and then take the picture of my receipt, which is just too much hassle for a $0.50 discount... My time is more valuable than that. Would be better if it just went through my receipt and find deals for me and apply the discount automatically. That’s what I would recommend, at least. Also would be nice to be able to see which stores has the product when I click on it. Thanks.

Survey not giving payment at the end. I like the app however sometimes when i have completed a survey the page at the end of the survey goes blank and I have to exit the survey and dont get payed even though i completed the whole thing. It had done this to me at least 3-4 times already

If you have the time. Takes a long time to get much because for some reason my choices are not within the grocery that I usually buy but sometimes i get quite a bit Good app - just takes time

The best app ever!!!. I love checkout 51. Works very well and I never had problem.

Terrible app and terrible customer service. This app sucks. and their customer service is very RUDE

Love It. I love this app. New coupons every week, super easy to use. And money comes to you. The coupons are for things you actually buy too! Pretty wonderful. So far I have gotten over $100 for things I would normally buy!

Too much fine print nowadays. Useless app with too many restrictions on where to buy stuff to qualify for discounts. Avoid.

Scam. If they see that you are making legitimate money and submitting legitimate receipts, because you are making too much money, they will close your account and keep the money. Therefore, I no longer use the app. Apple should pull this from the App Store. I’m sure it is breaking their terms and conditions. This app should be vetted investigated to the ninth degree.

Need to update pic upload. Stores are issuing paperless email copies of receipts. You really should be updating the app to allow for photo uploads not just taking pics

Garbage. I’ve had this app for a few weeks now and I’ve actually picked up some stuff that was listed in the offers I’ve scanned bar codes and taken pictures of receipts but have gotten nothing in return. Deleted the app

My favourite app. Checkout 51 has saved me bundles over the years, it has so many offers each week and is easy to use

0 stars and scam. If there was a 0 star rating I would give this that! I couldn’t possibly believe that I believed this.I loaded every single recipe and when I cashed out at first, they said good job cheque coming in 7-10 business days and u know when it came ? NEVER.When I checked my cash out again ,It said I can’t cash out anyone and now they have my address where I shop and everything.Just don’t download it.This is a scam and also a waste of your time. The people that rated this good are probably bots but just listen to me and don’t do this, who knows maybe this is a virus.

No PayPal?. You gotta grind so hard for a rebate, can’t cash in less than $25, and then they MAIL YOU A CHEQUE 😂 no.

It used to be easy…. Now it’s a pain. Left to right scrolling with extra clicks is a waste. Hopefully will go back to previous version soon

Love it. I use this App every time I go shopping and I love it!The offers are great and I am always able to redeem my cash backs with no hustle.

Doesn’t work for Canada. This app doesn’t work for Canada as of April 3, 2020.

Dislike new update. App use to be easy to scroll through and find items now it is annoying and more clicking buttons to see everything. Was great and easy to use old way!!

Latest update is no good. I’m finding it very difficult and annoying to navigate since the last update. Why make it left to right scrolling?? I much prefer having offers listed top to bottom.

Good But.... I like that his app but I find that most of the items I purchase are not listed. I have earned a bit of money but not lots.

Disappointed. I used to love this and and recommended it. That was back when offers were on products I wanted to purchase and you would get 1$ back just for uploading your receipt. It’s was great! Now with these surveys, that don’t work or screw up half of the time, it really isn’t worth it. Offers are on such random products too ( light, lactose free, store specific, unpopular flavours). And I was excited about something new and grand arriving in early 2022, but if it’s the cash back on groupon and wtv else the other one was, wow! A very GRAND disappointment indeed! 😒

Violates Apples location rules. App is set to use location only while using yet when not in use remains tracking location and consuming battery. They comment on this but this is not allowed.

Customer service needs a review. After 8 years without an issue, one receipt looked off in a photo and they closed my account without warning and refuse to cash out my balance. The receipt was approved so I tossed it and then had no recourse to prove it was legit. I explained to customer service what happened and they were not helpful. Refused to reinstate account and cash out balance referencing their terms that state they have sole discretion and can cancel your account at any time. The offers are not as good as they once were and they close your account without giving you your balance; which they have clearly been paid for from companies. Seems like a scam now.

Love it. I love this app it’s awesome have not had a issue yet

Survey is a SCAM!!!!!. The specials are fine but watch the surveys. They’ll make you do a survey until the end but then tell you that you don’t qualify so they don’t have to pay you. ITS A SCAM!!!!!

Very good. Excellent in terms of function. Wish more fresh product was featured in locations other than Walmart. For example, ground beef, chicken. Fresh vegetable offers would be great. Would promote more affordable healthier eating.

Scam. Had a big amount of money in my account I was about to withdraw, was just waiting for my most recent receipt to process, when they emailed me to say they were closing my account and wouldn’t give me the money I had been working years to earn. They claim that since I agreed to their terms and conditions they have the right to suspend the account without giving you the money.

Good App. I like this app. Just cashed out $47.00.

Undesirable/uncommon products. Please can you start adding some more commonly bought items. I haven’t even seen, let alone thought about purchasing 98% of what is available for cash back offers. Please bring in more products, otherwise this app is useless. Also, I’ve noticed that most of the items on there have been there for months. There is not a lot of variety at all. Please try to improve.

Great app but not many offers. I like the app been using for years, but not a lot of offers, and mostly offers on American Products and brands. I get one or two useful offers once a month on average. Would love to see more offers.

Horrible. I used this app for a while and got 90$ last year. I finally managed to make near 400$ this year and they suspended my account saying my receipts are apparently not valid so this app is garbage and fishy

Not worth it. Hadn’t loaded a receipt to the app in a few months as I bought nothing they were offering rebates on Checkout 51 penalized my points for every month leaving only $4 in my account. Had been using the app for years prior but just now deleted it as it’s useless to me if they take away my points when I’m not buying the products they’re offering rebates on. The app was good many years back but it was revamped…and not for the better.

Taking my cash back. I recently noticed that a lot of my cash back that I earned through this app is gone. It went from 30+ dollars down to 8. This looks like a scam to me.

Useless. Takes FOREVER to get to $20, time frame for offers is very limited & some are only from certain retailers.

Great app. I really like this app, easy to use and can have shopping list right on my phone. Save about 300 a year which isn’t huge but it’s easy free money!!

Scam. App is a scam. Avoid this one

Easy to build cash. Just shop like normal and you’ll be ready to cash out in no time. When the cash comes in, treat yourself to a drink!

No deals here. Same products week after week. Would be nice if every week had new items

Not worth the time. This used to be a decent money saving app but recently has become basically useless. Less everyday savings every week. Not worth scrolling thru the “deals” as it will take years to get enough for a cheque.

Easy to use. I don’t know why more people don’t take advantage of free money! I just load my offers every Thursday and pick the things I’m going to buy anyway. The upload process is easy and the app is well designed. A definite essential app in my books.

locked all the grocery reward. locked the most useful reward:grocery

Great app but. Love the app, but mostly use it for laundry related products and sometimes haircare stuff. Would love to see produce and meat offers. Also lactose free milk savings and not just the almond or soy stuff.

No longer feel like I'm getting a good deal. I used to love this app. Every week there was a different selection of products I bought somewhat regularly, and the produce was always a variety. It didn't take long for me to reach the $20 checkout. BUT now it's just annoying. Basically the same products every week that I never buy. Unless you're buying toilet paper, cleaning products, and otc meds EVERY week, don't waste your time. Not very many healthy options either. It's frustrating you have to unlock the produce now, which I'm never able to do because I'm never meeting the limit. As soon as I get to $20 (which will probably take me a couple months, I'm at $12 now) I am deleting.

Nifty way to get little extra savings. It excites me to save on anything, retail prices are not m my thing & saving in groceries is not an exception. Rebates savings is like having a piggy bank and this app is easy to use, not having to select the store and ads rebates separately makes is user-much more friendly. I would like to see more variety on products though, if compared to other rebates apps out there... hope they continue to add. Very please though!

Easy but frustrating. The app is very easy to use and now that you can narrow it down by offers in the store where you are shopping makes it easier. My frustration is that when an offer is no longer available, it is still viewable. (It reads that there are zero remaining.) I have messed up multiple times buying a product only to not get a rebate because I saw it but didn’t see the “0” or it turned to 0. It’s like the app is mocking me. “See what you didn’t get!” That is the only thing I would like to see changed.

Fabulous app for saving $$!!!. I’m stoked I found CheckOut 51! Great app for not just saving $money$ but being introduced to new products. Overall, I am very happy with the app and receiving rebates listed. There’s only been twice in the last 8+ months that a rebate was available and by the time I checked out it was no longer available. I have saved so much money & you can too if you buy items you know you’re going to need when rebates are available.

Way too long to get earned money after requested.... The app itself isn’t too bad....what frustrates me beyond everything is that it takes forever to get my money in my pocket once I request cash-out. The first time I did it, there was a check-only option and it took over 3 weeks to receive. Now I am awaiting another payment to be paid out through Paypal, and it has been 16 days. If this was iBotta, I’d have my money within minutes of cashing out to Paypal. This should be an automated process....instead it feels like the 1970’s waiting 4-6 weeks for anything. Customer service so far has been useless, but alas I will try again. I just hate that money I have earned is essentially being held hostage.

Waste of your time. I’ve been using this app for about 2 years. The biggest problem is that if you have other savings apps (Ibotta, Checkout 51 will tell you that you can’t redeem their rebates because you saved a rebate for the same product in another app. Checkout 51 isn’t even up front about it- they will let you unlock the rebate but when you come back later it says there are 0 remaining. This is ridiculous. I use multiple other grocery apps and none of them do this. The only reason I haven’t deleted yet is because I want the $10 that’s currently in my account. Don’t waste your time here, stick to Ibotta.

Used to be great but is garbage now.. I used to love this app but with how much it’s changed it’s been forever since I’ve used it. My submissions for the exact item get rejected. If you so much as load a coupon from another app even if you don’t redeem it (Some stores I can’t use the other apps so I wouldn’t be able to redeem it twice anyways) they lock the offer on you. They claim you can get credit for items purchased online by uploading a packing slip but every offer I’ve ever tried to redeem from a packing slip gets rejected. They did away with the fresh produce offers. Lastly they sponsor the same items week after week anymore. I’ve seen some of the same offers for months now. It’s really become unusable.

Love it!. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and I don’t really have many complaints other than I wish it had a better variety of offers. Most of the things I see on here are things that I don’t normally purchase. Also, a lot of offers have ran out and show you can no longer claim them. For whatever reason they stay with the other offers so I often get my hopes up and buy something, only to find out later that it’s no longer available. All in all a good app. I get my money back pretty quickly, so that’s a definite bonus.

Better apps out there!. I have had this app for nearly two years and using it every time I shop I have earned a grand total of $43! Now granted that’s $43 more dollars than I would have otherwise but still.... considering the time and effort I have put in... it’s just not worth it! They don’t have very many offers and if you don’t shop super fast then it’s gone. You can’t stack it with any other offers and even if you do everything right you STILL may not get it because the limits are so low for an item! If I have reached my limit remove it from my queue!!!! Ibotta is where it is at!!! In the same time frame I have earned over $1300!!! And no where near the hassle that checkout 51 makes you deal with!

Mostly a good site. Mostly a good site for earning cash back the only major problem they have is the gas rewards since they did the gas for awards I have submitted a gas receipts almost weekly with the exception of one time I have to constantly keep resubmitting my gas receipt I’m told the problem is that the gas burning is in beta testing but come on it’s been in beta testing for almost 6 months and it used to take a day or two to get my credit for the gas now it’s taking 1 to 3 weeks if I get my credit at all there has been twice that I have been asked to resubmit my receipt and I was told that I would get my credit and I never did so I would highly recommend anyone using the site to consider not doing the gas option it’s nothing but problems and the help you receive is not worth it

Not worth the effort. I used to like Checkout 51. But there are fewer and fewer items that I’m interested in. Also, you have to mark the items you use or it will not be included with the scan and you don’t get the points. You also have to recheck the items each week. There are so many other apps out there that are easier to use. For example, Fetch Rewards gives you 14 days to scan a receipt, it picks up items automatically from your receipt and you get points for each receipt you scan even if there are no qualifying items in it. You turn the points in for gift cards. I have to admit, it was nice getting a $40 check in the mail, but it took me two years to do it with C51: it’s too labor intensive.

Show offers that are actually available!. This is so frustrating. I’ve pretty much gave up using this however just got an email about Clorox bathroom products and figured I would give it another try. Guess what ? Surprise surprise shows it unavailable. The response I will get is “it’s available on multiple platforms” whatever that’s supposed to mean. Just because many other rebate apps offer the same products, whether I use those apps or not, it’s not available to ME? A total sham... Furthermore, many rebates are unavailable , forcing the user to scroll and scroll and scroll to find ones, maybe a dozen, that actually ARE available. I could care less about what offers aren’t available, Show me the ones that are!!! Waste of time

It’s a bit challenge. When I started using the app I knew it won’t be that easy to ear some cash based on experience with similar app. I kept buying items that required and after I reached required cash out level $20min) I sent out the request. Using the PayPal as an option I was told it takes 5 -10 days to receive confirmation. I waited about 6 days then I received email saying “ after reviewing your account we found out that some receipts are copies “ your account is disabled. So go figure . Very nice scam here. Not even a response from customer service after I replied to their email and complained. Stay away before you waste time with this app.

Still yet MORE Vaseline…AGAIN??. I haven’t even used this app and against my “Rules for apps process”Which is always read the reviews FIRST. anyway, I went ahead and download this app THEN I read the reviews. I’m sorry I didn’t do this first because I think I will be deleting this app because I have too many problems with sounds like trying to rip your customers off. I’m not into that because I get ripped off enough out in the world anyway. I’ve even had to borrow by the economy size of Vaseline and I don’t need it from an app either. So good luck with your app andTry to keep it ethical, from a business aspect anyway.

Worst customer service. Although I love saving money on my groceries, the customer service (or lack of) with this app makes it not worth it. After purchasing one item that had a five item limit, the app credited me with all five, then reversed to just the one. That’s fine, because I only claimed one. But then I asked for the five to be reset to four items left to claim (as it usually would) and I’ve had a week of emails from someone who hasn’t even bothered to read my request to fix how it says “claimed limit”. So a week of emails, no resolution and this is exactly what everyone should be prepared for. It is the most difficult of the apps in this category and they couldn’t care less of you are happy or not.

Never get my checks. I have waited a long time to post a review because at face value I love this app but unlock its competitor Ibotta the follow through or cashing out your rebates is awful. The only reason I am giving them any stars is because their customer service reps themselves are very nice but cannot help very much since all checks are only issued once a month. I have cashed it three times and all three times now my checks have been VERY LATE and I have had to write to customer service for them to be reissued EVERY SINGLE CHECK so I am writing this review after my last email requesting my last pay out. This apps needs to move to the 21st century and use some other form of payment like all of their contemporaries. Disregard the atrocious grammar I am very upset.

Excuses Excuses!. I gave them 2 stars only because I can still find something on there I can use from time to time. However, I have a McCafe offer from way back last year and due to a mix-up with another website never got to use it. In this app or the other. They cancelled each other out! I have not claimed the rebate people! Anyway, Checkout 51 says they are unable to remove the offer. Huh? You remove and add offers all the time. It’s what you do! But, because you won’t remove it I can’t EVER use that rebate ANYWHERE ELSE. Your email says “thanks for your understanding “. Well, I DON’T UNDERSTAND. And I think you’re trying to prevent me from using other grocery rebate apps??

Not Worth The Effort!. It takes forever to reach $20, because there is very little that most are interested in. It took me 9 months. They send you a check. Why not use PayPal like all the other apps. Also, other reviewers have complained about the offers being 0 at 6am on Thursday morning. This is what I have noticed. I live in Pacific time zone. If I get on this app at 9:30pm Wednesday night, almost everything is available, but by 5am Pacific time Thursday morning, anything worth buying is gone. I do not believe everybody on the east coast rushed to their local grocery store and bought everything up. This is just too much effort, and to be honest, it is unlikely I am going to play anymore.

GREAT USER INTERFACE. Great app! Easy to use and simple to understand! Less offers than other places, BUT the offers that are here, are all the good ones and not the “fillers.” Best part about this app is the user interface! It can ACTUALLY read the receipts and pick up the items better than any other app I’ve used. Hands down. It’s very easy to get frustrated with receipt-scanning apps but BELIEVE ME - it actually makes you grin a little when the receipt is read CORRECTLY and within a couple of seconds instead of “ERROR” “UH-OH” “CANNOT READ” 😂😂

Daylight Robbery. If I could I would give them minus (-) stars. They are the most unethical dishonest daylight robbers. They have resorted to taking away your money that you have already earned by spending time and effort in submitting receipts. So basically they have stolen what you have already earned. And they come up with all kinds of excuses to justify their abhorrent behavior. There are other better and straight forward Apps out there who don’t do such things like IBotta and Receipt Hog. Stay away and keep away. Don’t waste your time and effort over thieves. I am reporting this to Apple and asking them to delete this app and throw it into a trash can where it belongs, and definitely not in an iPhone.

Depends on how you shop. I use a shopping list religiously, on days when my husband and I are doing a weekly grocery run it’s more trouble than it’s worth. However, when I just run to the store for a few items it’s great. If I need cheese I put it in the search and if it shows me something I was already going to get I add it and before leaving the register I take a picture of the receipt and done. I think it adds about 2 minutes to my quick runs and I get a little money back with little effort.

Was once a good app. I’ve had Checkout 51 for a very long time. The app needs a total overhaul or something. I used to be able to find offers to work for me. Unfortunately, it is harder to find a good deal for something that I can use. Offers need to be updated more frequently, and a wide variety of things or stores are needed, or some other kind of incentive could be used. Sweepstakes, etc.. It’s just so slow to get anywhere with this app It’s not a bad app, but it just takes a very long time to get results.

Definitely stepped it up for our family. I’ve had this app for a while. It has come a long way from the very few limited options to the a larger variety of products and memberships with cash back. A recent update now lets you get cash back for gas! Our family does a lot of traveling for work so the $$ has been accumulating faster. I have not experienced the issues of other reviewers with “disappearing” offers or fighting for a redemption of an offer. Checkout51 pays out :). Overall very happy to use this app while shopping for gas and groceries!

Awesome app. Love this app and it’s very easy to use if you know how to read and follow directions, sometimes they tell me that they cannot process because they don’t see it on my receipt but after I circled the item they give me the credit right away , they have always resolved my claim and have never had a problem, yes sometimes you have to check to make sure that you can only use certain coupons at certain store but if that’s the deal then either go to the store or don’t use it , over all I’m enjoying my Check Out 51

I love Checkout 51. I have been using the app since it began, and consistently enjoy receiving rebates on food, cleaning products, and household goods for my family. There have been some changes, but hey, everything must change at times. I absolutely love the “filter” feature so that I do not make mistakes on purchases at stores not included in the rebate. I also enjoy the new feature that allows you to filter the specific item categories. Kudos to you CO51, now if I could only win one of those $500!!😍❤️

Just waiting to delete.... I’ve had this app for a few years. If you don’t eat a lot of processed food, it always took a long time to earn savings on this app, but it’s ridiculous now. No fruit or veg rebates unless you’ve bought a ton of junk food to unlock them first. Basic healthy staples earn nothing. I’ve earned only 10 cents in the past six months because you get nothing if you want to eat well. I had taken a long time (over a year and a half) to build up $15 (most of it happened before this app got super stingy), and at this point, I’m hoping to just somehow build up to the $20 I need to cash out so I can just delete this stupid app. Go to Ibotta if you want to earn savings.

Company is not what they say. Checkout 51 was awesome for well over a year. Loved the offers and awards. Then all changed. I had in the past and continue to have offers that I had been granted reward for. Suddenly with 24hrs rewards where giving but my account was suspended for “on their sole discretion, state I misused their terms of condition” No explanation as to why all has been fine for over a year just state I missed used checkout 21. Any communication with them has been accusatory on their end and sadly very un customer friendly. Any reward accumulated sits uncollected and company won’t release. They also won’t abolish account. I realize some people are cheats but that’s not all people. If I was misusing account way wasn’t I told and why were rewards still given. Participants beware. Not worth your efforts in the long long.

Scam App. This app was designed to lure you in with a few savings on some offers. They actually re-submit all of these receipts the public sends in to them to other apps i.e. GetUpside, Fetch Rewards, Ibotta, etc...and make a killing off of the public doing all the work submitting receipts to them. Once you’ve finally reached a payout level ($20), they need your “personal information,” which they sell to advertisers. After you reach your payout level and have achieved collecting your personal information, they lower all their offer payout levels to next to nothing, from saving $3.00 on gas purchases to $.15. Steer clear, they are all about you collecting receipts for their bigger payout, along with selling your information.

3 months and still not to $20. I downloaded this app in hopes of easing some of the financial strain on my family. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the last few years and yet pay has not. Any savings is considered a blessing. I’ve had this app for 3 months and still only have $7 right now. The products are very limited, products I wouldn’t buy or can’t afford right (I.e. tons of glade products, large quantities of expensive paper towels or toilet paper, or unhealthy snacks) I’m feeding a family of six and I buy only what we need, when we need it. Disappointed in this app and it’s offerings. However, I still use it maybe about once a month. For a dime or quarter rebate.

Reliable and straightforward. I was skeptical at first; other rebate apps give you different cash out options whereas Checkout51's "cash-out" process involves telling you that "the check was in the mail"...but it does show up! It's nice nice boost to my budget every time! Their customer service/claim support is stellar-if you ever have an issue arise with a submitted rebate claim, they send you a notice with easy-to-follow steps so you can quickly correct it. I would like to see some more everyday products in their roster, but I seem to always find some offers that I can take advantage of. It's become a consistent and favorite way to save for me!

Awesome!. I have used this app for a few months now and it is totally legit! I have even received a reimbursement check through the mail and everything was fine. It has deals for you to choose from without specifying what store it has to come from and you just upload your receipt. Your account is credited with the amount in no time and you can see the savings grow! There are good deals on everything from laundry detergent to fruit. Definitely recommend to get back a little money on groceries.👌

Thorough Earning History Would Be Nice. UPDATE: hoping this function could become reality soon. I can’t imagine it would be too difficult to implement, as it would help track all rebates and cash back, not just those through grocery. I use primarily for gas rewards and surveys and some grocery items every now and then (I don’t believe I’ver ever used it for online shopping), but an earnings history that includes ALL rewards (instead of just a “trip history” that only shows my grocery rewards), would be great. Just a suggestion that I hope developers take to heart.

Great app for saving. I use this app all the time checking for things I’m already buying. When I can’t find a coupon on a product this helps me still save. I check it before I shop or while shopping. I try new things and pay less for them. I have to say I will buy something I never tried before faster If I know this app is going to give me some of that money back. I just brought 2 Sally Hansen nail polish (gel & top coat) and this app give me $6 plus the store had a buy 1 get 2nd half price. CO51 keep the offers coming!!

More aggravation than savings. I rarely use this app anymore, but today I opened it to check the new offers. How is it that the new week of offers begins with so many “0 remaining” offers? More than 10 on my list! Why are they even included in the list??? This used to be an enjoyable and useful app, and I was grateful to be able to realize some additional savings occasionally, but there’s a reason I haven’t used it in six months. After you’re disappointed over and over, you eventually stop bothering to check the app. Please don’t suggest that I read the app’s terms or rules—better you should change those terms to something that doesn’t aggravate users, so you can keep your customers.

Great when it works. I consistently on a weekly basis find several items that I need or donate on the rebate list. The C51 rebates make the items super cheap or free enabling me to stock up for me or my sons or donate to my local food pantry. That said, when there is an issue it takes tenacity and perseverance to dog C51 customer service. I frequently have to follow up 3 to 5 times per issue to get resolution and usually by the end my email follow ups are less than polite. There have several issues that have taken so long that the offer sold out. Then C51 tried to not pay the rebate. That is when my emails have gotten very grumpy. I really don’t like having to be that way. For that reason I gave them 2 stars.

Not enough diverse offers or they suddenly have zero left. Why show an offer that has zero redemptions left? And how does an offer run out so quickly, or conveniently right after I left the store? If they wanted to be transparent they could show how many “offers” are left so I could estimate whether I could get home to complete the process in time. I have had this app for a year and am stuck at $7. Because of what many other reviewers are saying: the same 40 products that don’t change and I don’t buy. I do like the updated search/filter function (finally!) but this app is definitely the last deal app I choose when guiding my shopping behavior, which is the point right?

Don’t waste your time. The first time I got to about $48 in my bank and it got deleted somehow. No one in customer service would do anything to fix it. As of a couple days ago, I cannot even get into the app. I’ve updated, and done just about everything I can think to do to fix it. But, apparently I did something that is a big secret and I can’t get onto the app. Also, it takes 8-10 days to get your cash back on gas. And, I had to send an email asking for my cash back on every gas receipt. I think that is wrong. So, don’t waste your time with this app!! Not worth it. There are other apps that are easier to use. And, the cash back offers have gotten to mostly obscure products. Like I said, don’t waste your time.

Like the app! Recommend. I started using the app last year and I love the way it set up. It’s very friendly user. Most of the time you don’t need to scan your item barcode and it can be from any grocery stores. Unlike other app, it is limited to buy from certain store(s) and sometimes it can be very inconvenient. However, they don’t have much variety of selections. It’s very limited. I wish they have more items every week and not limited quantity. Also, they used to have fruits and veggies rewards every week and they no longer have it. Overall, I love it!

Needs more options.... This app definitely needs an option to cash out funds to Venmo or PayPal. I don't get it I have read in the terms that it's an option of receiving your money but I don't see any other way but old fashioned paper check by snail mail. Also with the new update a lot of the most common items went away like bread, milk, produce and was replaced with some weird brands I can't find in any stores. WTH?!? Also when I can actually use a rebate and I try to scan the barcode after it says it's verified it then tells me I haven't selected an item to claim. Obviously I did since I scanned the barcode and you verified it. This app is such a joke. There are other rebate apps out there that are easier and user friendly.

Too Many "0 Remaining" Offers. This app was decent. However, for way over a year, it seems like the majority of offers say "0 Remaining." If there are "0 Remaining," they should delete them from the app. It's frustrating scrolling through the app only to find the majority of rebates have 0 left. I've found Ibotta and Savings Star have many more rebates available. If it's shown in the app, the rebates are available to you. Try Ibotta and/or Savings Star. You'll be much happier! Unfortunately, I have almost $5 waiting to be paid out. You can only cash out once you reach $20. I'm not sure I will ever reach that amount like I have in the past.

New surveys not trustworthy. So I have been using this app for several years - yes it takes a while to earn enough to cash out. Lately they added a survey side where you can complete surveys to earn cents - sounds easy enough right? Nope - very shady. You pick a survey and earn cents based on length of survey - or that’s how it’s supposed to go. I have completed multiple surveys that take longer than advertised- once completed I get a message “uh looks like that wasnt a good fit for you” or “you answered questions too quickly” and no points are rewarded. Not cool. And guess what?? Many of the surveys are political and ridiculously biased. Geez let’s all stop the bashing

Accepts more stores!. I prefer Checkout 51 because there are less or no restrictions on accepted retailers since my preferred (smaller) stores aren’t accepted at other similar coupon applications. It’s so easy to take a quick photo of the receipt and upload it. My suggestion: If coupons are available everywhere like P&G, it seems as if we should be able to get the same in an ecoupon at any store at Checkout 51 to expand offers. So please expand offers. I’m a believer now and love paperless coupons and uploading receipts. Very convenient!

Don't waste your time!!. I downloaded this app last week and have had trouble with it. They only offer a few items each week for the cash back and odd items at that. I added 2 items before I went shopping. They only credited me for one. No where on the app is there a way to communicate with them other then to submit a claim. But there is nowhere to type out anything. It's all preselected responses. I also wanted to change my password. Never received the email with a link. Said there was no such address. Yet the next morning I received the update on my receipt. Go figure!! There are better reward apps out there. Keep scrolling past this one!!

Deals fell off tremendously. The title to my previous review is appropriate for my updated perspective on this app as of today. Hardly use this app anymore and it’s unfortunate. Found out that if you ADD an offer on another rebate app then any offer on Checkout 51 for the same/similar product will be unavailable. I emphasized on ADD because there have been rebates on SavingStar that I have added but never redeemed and even after the rebate(s) is no longer available that I never redeemed it’s still shows as unavailable on CO51. I don’t know what the end goal is for this app but I’m certain the activity has gone down tremendously. Some of my friends that I told to download the app awhile back have now deleted since these changes. If no changes come in the near future, I will be cashing out and deleting the app as well.

Great way to save money!. I really like this app so far! I just claimed my first $20 check and am so excited! Another reviewer mentioned not being able to double dip with Ibotta? I’ve never found this to be the case! They mostly have different rebates, but in the occasion they shared a rebate, I had no problem claiming both. The good rebates do run out quickly, so if you see one you need to snag it. The great thing is when you find a certain brand product you purchase anyway, sometimes the rebate is high, like $3.00. I think this app has paid off and I’m highly satisfied!

Flexible font sizes, please. I’ve been using this app for several years now and have always gotten along great. Good service even when I needed to change my account from Canada to the USA. Recently, however, I had cataract surgery and it’s become difficult to read the all-important fine print. How about an option that lets me set the app to a larger font? Or let’s me pinch the screen to enlarge what is there? Bad enough on the iPad, worse on a phone.

Ehh. This rebate app takes a little more time to earn money compared to “the other guy” and less user friendly...In the same amount of time with the 2 apps, this one has made over $20 and the other app has made over $200!! It’s the same products over and over again 🤦🏽‍♀️ and those products rarely make it into my cart lol Also it is hard to search for products so you have to scroll through all the rebates(that you'll never redeemed)every time. [**updated app & the search ACTUALLY searches now] Bottom line.....There are coins to be made so yep 🤷🏽‍♀️ Get Money!

I enjoy the app!. Love using the app for saving, however, there are those times when I make a purchase, then go to the app and cannot claim the coupon because it says zero left. Thought this would be a better option to using actual coupons and go through the hassle of dealing with them not scanning. Therefore, that has been the only issue with the app, but I tend to use the other coupon apps more. Fix this problem and everyone would enjoy using the app, especially those who buy multiple items of a product.

Almost a 5 star review. If I had been asked to review this app back when produce was a regularly available rebate item, it would have been 5 stars. As someone who doesn’t eat a lot of processed foods, this was a nice feature. So, it takes me a long while to add up my savings and because of this, it has taken me nearly a year to earn my second rebate check. However, I have managed to receive two checks for $20+ which is pretty cool, considering before that I was receiving nothing in exchange for the thousands I spend on groceries every year.

They steal your money with convenience fees. I took a really long time to gain any money on this app due to the fact that they have very few offers on the app and they don’t change very frequently. I had about $10 in my account but I had to stop using the app because I hardly use the products they advertise. I decide to check it after many months of non-usage only to find out they were taking out fees of 3 to 4 dollars to hold the account. I know it doesn’t cost you that and shame on you for stealing my money out of my account. I won’t be using your app again and I will not recommend it as I recommend a lot of these apps to the public. Again shame on you thieves!
