Excellent, 5 stars
This app help me relax and let me think about my life and learn about planets, stars, and galaxy's.
This app provides the best scientific information and mythological imagery for free that i’ve found of yet!
I’ve been using this app for about a month now, and can say without hesitation that this is the BEST sky guide I have found to date. The level of detail, the craftsmanship, the ease of use makes this a wonderful experience—particularly with my young child and astronomy-related projects. I installed the supermassive add on, and it it amazing. The developers have been fast with responses to my questions, and when I thought the app was not functioning exactly correctly, I discovered that not only was it working exactly correctly, but in an intuitive way. The ISS went over my home last night, and I was surprised not to see it. After an email inquiry, I learned that the app shows the relative brightness while the satellite can be seen, and fades out the satellite when no longer sunlit. I backed out the time to last night and was blown away by how it works so well. Amazing work!
Beautiful easy to use app. Brings the universe, past, present or future right to you anytime you want.
I love this app...it makes learning the constellations so much easier! Very relaxing too.
I would recommend downloading it for road trips. There is just something about driving cross country and looking up at the stars while at rest stops, and of course your gonna wanna know what your looking at.
Well worth the investment as long as you have cell service.
Please find a way add Starman to your guide. That Tesla in space is the Bomb.
I watched the video and looked at the photos and I was all ready sold on it, I bought it and in my opinion it was better than the video and photos, the AR and everything works perfectly
Although I only paid $4.49 it has features even $30 astronomy apps don't have such as filters and REAL photos pieced together in a collage 360 of the sky instead of crappy CGI like many others. Sky guide has a quick start guide and a help/troubleshooting guide in the app itself so if you are camping with no internet there is no need to panic. Whenever changes, minor or major are made, they are clearly described so you know all about it. Another awesome thing is the filters. You see the night sky very differently in other wavelengths! The andromeda galaxy looks extremely different in Hydrogen alpha or infrared. Don't forget to check out the Orion Nebula in ultraviolet and Centaurus A in radio waves. 3D planets are good too, the developer seems to have completely replaced their old app with this. I can spin Jupiter upside down, see what Uranus looked like before it spun on its side. There is now a lot more info about their characteristics, location in the sky and rise and set times have been added. You can zoom in super far on Saturn and the other planets, even Jupiters largest moons are added! I use Sky guide on my iPad and iPhone and whenever I find something interesting in the sky in my telescope, I put Sky guide on the front of the telescope and zoom in. It instantly tells me what star/planet etc, I'm looking at. The today widget is awesome too, you can view rise and set times for the sun and planets right there in your notification centre. The Apple Watch app is very useful, it shows the upcoming events (Eclipses, comets, satellite passes) right there on my Apple Watch. The developers reply to your suggestions and feedback you send to them and actually add your suggestions. Sky guide works perfect without any subscription, but for the price of one month of Spotify Premium, you get a full year of superzoom and 100 times more objects and stars. The developers also respond within 48hrs if you contact them via their website and they add many features you request and patch bugs. The support is wonderful but seeing how cheap this app was it's just amazing. UPDATE 6.5 NOTE: The new Augmented Reality is awesome. The developers are really updating this app to keep it the very best of the very best.
Thanks so by gu yuh
I am amazed at the time and effort put into this app. It was pretty cool once I saw this app and bought it straight away. I love all the information and the detail. I also really really like how the smallest stars that you see you have to zoom in and all of them are named.
Skyguide lets you get up close and personal with the planets, stars, and constellations and alerts to cool Astro phenomena like iridium flares and meteorite showers.
Excellent app, really interesting. Great learning tool for adults & children I enjoy showing it to people & seeing it peak their interest
This app is the best on the market AND it’s affordable as well. The SUPERMASSIVE add on is great as well (worth subscribing to) because it shows all the deep sky objects in detail. But most of all thank you for adding Augmented Reality because now we can see what part of the sky the objects are in. (YAY!)😄😄😄
This app is awesome :)
It helps locate all the stars and constellations. Sincerely Callum.
This app shows me the part of the universal and I feel that human beings are so tiny compared with the universal. I love this app.
If I won’t keep the subscription can i stop paying? BTW I like that app so Beautiful and interesting
Easily the best star viewing application on iOS right now. Definitely worth the one time purchase because it will keep you coming back to learn new things. The rate of accuracy is incredible when I go out and see things in real life whether it’s using a microscope or just with my eyes. Definitely a must have for anyone who loves space or looking at the stars!
I can’t see most of the Sats you list. Let us filter on magnitude! Like min 0.0... geez is it that hard? Also, for iridium flares, show us the current time in seconds on screen.
Love it! My friends are jealous. I have had this app for about 3 years and have loved it since day 1.
I have learned so much about the Sky since I got this app
Sky Guide is s great way to learn more about outer space. Whenever I’m having a night walk, and I’m looking at the stars, Sky Guide is always right there. Experiences
This is a great App. You can explore the night sky for all the planets, space junk, and actually go back in time to see the past in the night sky.
What fun to quickly zero in on constellations, stars, planets ! So easy to then pick things out with the naked eye or help with a telescope. This is so helpful to find the space station coming so you can then see it quickly. Kids love it as a learning tool. Never have had any problems technically.
The universe in an entirely new way
I can finally see what the AR fuss is about. Sky guide makes great use of the iOS 11 augmented reality feature to give a seriously cool and fun AR mode. You have to see it in real time to get it. Stunning.
Excellent app showcasing the night sky in real time, you won't be disappointed
Nice useful tool for astrophotographers. Well worth the price of the download.
AMAZING... FABULOUS...ADDICTIVE.... BEST THING EVER.!! LOVE IT.!!!
Perfect for astronomy / photography
Great value for money
An ideal companion to your telescope . Highly recommended !
Good app, if not a bit expensive.
This app gives me hours of constructive and exciting entertainment. By far the best value for an app like this, I would value this (and spend) about 20 euro for this it's so worth it for astronomers like myself, beautiful visuals and sounds absolutely brilliant.
Beautiful, intricate and simple to use.
Great app must say. I really use it. Watching skies Ect.
A combination of sheer poetic beauty and incredible detail: whenever I use this app I'm blown away. A planetarium in your pocket: how cool is that?
I've been using SkyGuide for a few years now, and more and more find myself opening it up just to get a 'snap shot' of something I see in the skies... Love it
Love it! Can play on it for hours. It's very educational
Best star app ever!
One of the best apps available for the iPhone! Fantastic performance and graphics coupled with the most beautifully designed user interface to show off our night sky.. Fantastically coupled with the phone's motion sensors for terrific tracking of the night sky. This app can teach the user so many things about the night sky and it does so beautifully! Truly deserves an installation onto everyones phone!
Love this App
A great app that is so easy to use and so informative. Highly recommended.
Best app ever
