I thought you could use your camera to point it at the sky and it could show you which constellations would be near by.
I added this app to my new phone and I immediately started getting the congratulations web that exploits web sites. It happened non stop until I deleted the app. After I deleted the app the congratulations big went away. I paid for this a year ago and am greatly disappointed in this aspect. Paid or not I’ll never trust this app again. Do your research on congratulations exploit and you will see it is showing up because of some apps, this app is one of them.
It’s simply amazing how clean and fun this app is; The quality is top notch and new things are added all the time! I use this app for my astrophotography to show future astronomical events and where to point my camera. It’s fun to explore especially if you get the supermassive update and even without the update it comes with so many cool little things to play with, it would be to hard to type it all out.
AWESOME. Thank you for showing me the universe!
PLEASE, I like SILENCE when I’m looking for my home planet👽
We have had this App for years. Like it very much. Worth the money
Love the music.
I’ve been a star gazer since my youth and this app helps me remember so much of that time in my life plus more! It’s a great tool to have on hand!! I love it☺️
Point and be amazed
This app is the best on the market AND it’s affordable as well. The SUPERMASSIVE add on is great as well (worth subscribing to) because it shows all the deep sky objects in detail. But most of all thank you for adding Augmented Reality because now we can see what part of the sky the objects are in. (YAY!)😄😄😄
This app is awesome :)
It helps locate all the stars and constellations. Sincerely Callum.
Although I only paid $4.49 it has features even $30 astronomy apps don't have such as filters and REAL photos pieced together in a collage 360 of the sky. Sky guide is the best astronomy app I have ever used, here is why: Sky guide has a quick start guide and a help/troubleshooting guide in the app itself. Also whenever major changes are made, they are clearly described so you know all the new features. Another awesome thing is the filters. You see the night sky very differently in other wavelengths! The andromeda galaxy looks extremely different in Hydrogen alpha or infrared. Don't forget to check out the Orion Nebula in ultraviolet and Centaurus A in radio waves. He new update adds 3D planets. I can spin Jupiter upside down, see what Uranus looked like before it spun on its side. There is now a lot more info about their characteristics, location in the sky and rise and set times have been added. You can zoom in super far on Saturn and the other planets, even Jupiters largest moons are added! I use Sky guide on my iPad and iPhone and whenever I find something interesting in the sky in my telescope, I put Sky guide on the front of the telescope and zoom in. It instantly tells me what star/planet etc, I'm looking at. The today widget is awesome too, you can view rise and set times for the sun and planets right there in your notification centre. The Apple Watch app is very useful, it shows the upcoming events (Eclipses, comets, satellite passes) right there on my Apple Watch. The developers reply to your suggestions and feedback you send to them and actually add your suggestions. Sky guide has just one in app purchase, for the satellites. Unlike other apps (Like star walk 2) you get everything except the satellites when you buy it. And you can add satellites for just $0.99. The developers also respond within 48hrs if you contact them via their website and they add many features you request and patch bugs. The support is wonderful but seeing how cheap this app was it's just amazing. Money well spent, highly recommended whether you use it as a star chart or read information about the heavens above. UPDATE 5.0 NOTE: The new update isn't a big deal for me. I don't use this on a device with 3D Touch and I rarely use notifications HOWEVER the new HDR sky looks absolutely amazing. When I do use notifications when I'm out stargazing I get a map of where the satellite is and how long till it will be visible to me. Very good update. On top of all this this company has excellent customer service. Within 72 hours of me writing a piece of feedback hoping they could fix a bug I had a reply and a bug fix release in the App Store. No where else on the App Store can you find this kind of service. UPDATE 6.5 NOTE: The new Augmented Reality is awesome. The developers are really updating this app to keep it the very best of the very best.
This app shows me the part of the universal and I feel that human beings are so tiny compared with the universal. I love this app.
This app has expanded my knowledge and helps me realise space ain't just planets and garbage but that it's a life experience download best app
Using this app, I was able to locate Saturn with a telescope, Stunning view!
Awesome app. Free and no ads. Easy to use, full of information. Turns me into an expert! Best app I've ever downloaded - get it, you won't regret it.
A must have if you're starting out like me. Allows you to enjoy the sky more
Download it... dont think..... Download!! If you dont, you need to seriously think about returning your smartphone so it given a new lease of life with some tech savy foster parents...... in the hope it can be used as intended, and achieve its full potential........and then revert back to the original and rugged motorala brick .... ...Nubrik make them in ferntree gully, under license, and there tradie tough, as well as load bearing!!
I’m just a casual user of this app and the kind of person who knows very little about astronomy. I, nonetheless, very much enjoy learning about it. Every time I open this app I’m sucked into another world that is always there even if I can’t see it during the day or on a cloudy night. This app is wonderful.
I love this app, I use it all the time. I never have any issues either.
This app was my star guide while circumnavigating the USA on Amtrak and is about to be my tutor in the Southern Hemisphere while circumnavigating Uluru in Australia. Every time I use the app I watch satellites and space junk traversing the sky in real time and am amazed and delighted with the amount and presentation of knowledge about our night skies.
AWESOME APP, LOVE IT👍
love it everything about it.
Now I am sure of what constellation I am looking at.
This app is awesome. First time I was able to track the international space station across the sky and then see it with my naked eyes made this worth it. Now whenever theres a bright star or planet in the sky I can immediately know what it is.
Entertaining ✊🏽 Love it 😍 Get it🙌🏾 💯 ✊🏽👍🏽✌🏽
Worth every penny.
It's fine for star gazing but I see satellites all the time and there's never any info or notice
