Terrible. I don’t like the changes made. Not user friendly. Please go back to the old format where need to know info was available at first glance.

New update = no usability. Since the update, the app only shows the homepage photo of the anchors. There is no menu, there are no icons, I have swiped and tapped and done everything but all I see is a photo. This is not useful. Am I missing something?

Weather Forecasting. I have an electrical contracting business and I have to work outside often. I depend on WPXI ‘s weather forecasting to help me pick the best days to do my outside electrical work. I only use WPXI’s weather forecasting because I have found them to be very re liable and very accurate.

Tapping between Radar, 10-day, hourly takes way too long. my iPhone 14 keeps taking 3-5 seconds to recognize that Ive tapped "radar" or "hourly" making your app, very clunky and borderline unusable.

This is the weather app to have in Pittsburgh Metro Area. Completely love this app. Especially the feature of past and future radar for rain and storms. You have the ability to even slide the radar loop to see specific times. Also if you have it set up right the phone does a little vibrate when it hits current time. Love it remembers you areas of choice and the lighting feature. Plus you don’t have to download the entire station app to get the weather app. Unlike other local stations who discounted their weather app and must download the full news app to see the weather. Thank you Channel 11 for keeping the weather app separately. I now use your app for all our tracking of weather on all our smartphones & tablets l, and uninstalled another networks app that requires news app to get to weather. I am very grateful for you keeping the weather app separately. You gained our trust and we now count of WPXI for our weather needs. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌝

Much more cumbersome. The radar used to be so easy to see and the tools self-explanatory. The new app radar is cumbersome and I still can’t figure out some of the tools. We live above I80 so would add/subtract a few degrees to the forecast and just use the radar. I wish they would have just kept it simple! 😫 Deleting this one and trying another.

Great weather app. I’ve had a few from accu weather to The Weather Channel and this is by far the best. Show you everything you need to know and then some. Thanks.

I agree TERRIBLE. The old large weekly format was MUCH better. You could tap the app and view the week at a glance and NOT HAVE TO SCROLL THRU to find the tiny print that is hard to read for us older users. GO BACK to the app format that worked. Whoever thought this was better, must not use it very often. SIMPLICITY is the key.

Best, most logical, & easiest to use. I’m a Veteran and a retired computer engineer with 40 years experience working for four different computer companies before retiring from HP. No clue. I just WISH the weather people in PGH/ western PA would be honest and say on air “ Look people, we have no idea what the weather is going to be, and quite frankly NO ONE does.” And that would be the truth. Just list the days and put on there Monday not sure … Tuesday don’t know …Wednesday might be anything could rain, could be sunny, possibly cloudy… Thursday check the almanac because your guess is as good as mine and Friday Saturday Sunday just play it by ear because there’s no telling. That’d be great.

The Best Weather App I’ve Found!!. Easy to navigate and extremely accurate, without having to sort thru tons of ads and other garbage. All at no cost!! I only wish I’d found it years ago.

Accumulation. I can never find a forecast for accumulation of snow when there’s to be a winter storm watch or warning. I have to go to a different app to find it.

Little Information. The forecast videos are short teasers that try to manipulate you into watching the TV broadcast. Worthless information on the app.

My go to weather app. Active radar has stopped loading smoothly.

Flawless local weather app. Of all of the local news/weather apps I have used (in various cities) WPXI is the best. While many news stations have bloated, bug-ridden apps, this one is straightforward, stable, and reliable. Pittsburgh’s weather can be fast-changing and unpredictable, so having a high quality way of keeping track can be indispensable.

Monthly. A projected monthly forecast feature would be helpful for predicting the weather beyond 7 day forecast

Radar. I have an old app on another phone and a new one on this one. I’m a delivery driver so I keep up on the weather.... I keep the old phone in my car but even tho it’s an old app the radar on it is sooooo accurate EVERTONE asks to see it... 👍

Excessive storm coverage. Listing to repeated information for over an hour is excessive. People are not stupid, we get it

Dr.. Weather forecast appear to always be uncertain! Never seems to be definite! Basically ANYONE can say we “COULD” get this and that weather! Be CERTAIN with your forecast. Present the forecast with CERTAINTY!!! We are adults and REALIZE it is a FORECAST. I left WTAE when Stephen Cropper did and followed him to WPXI. I have had to look to WTAE for clarification lately. ***SIDE NOTE*** WPXI’s “hourly” forecast on the internet has been malfunctioning for MONTHS!

Radar. Radar screen has to be swiped away after every viewing, not just my device my wife’s is acting the same , it’s basically annoying, im not using it as much anymore

Almost everything. Love this site ! It has a little bit of everything ,except the parts that tell me it’s going to be sunny and 70 all week! LOL Have a great day

Couple things it could use. Not a bad app. Works smoothly with no crashes. But it is missing two key things. First, videos need to be "stamped" with a date and title. I've no idea if the video is current or three days old. And in fact this Monday morning I figured out at the end at the video was from Saturday. The other thing is a "text" forecast. If I want to know what the weather is going to be like today, I want to read a paragraph that describes it. Seeing the stats of a snow cloud, the dew point, and the humidity doesn't help me to determine how tall my boots should be. Give me a sentence or two describing what the day will be like. Fix those two things and you've got yourself a four- or five-star app.

Local weather. I need to know what’s the weather is every morning, helps my day go alot easier. Especially the radar and hourly weather. Great job 👍

Hi. Well WPXI Weather app I’ve been using it for years sometimes it works right and sometimes it don’t work right at all. Sometimes it says it’s gonna rain then it don’t rain but then when it says it’s gonna rain then turn the snow that don’t happen like today where I’m at down Claren PA it says it’s cloudy outside only, well I couldn’t go outside but I was trying to how she ran it so WPXI the person who asked she fixes or out basis weather app needs to do a better job of making sure everything is done right and ask you works right

New Version Terrible. Major bugs need worked out. The old version was fine, now it doesn’t even work. I’ll probably just delete app :(

This app just doesn’t work well at all. The video on this app doesn’t work well at all. One wonders if the creators have ever actually tried to use it on an iPhone.

Awkward in use and appearance. Not user friendly

Love it. I love this app. Yes, a few things have changed but I think it’s better. I really like the radar and the hourly forecast. I haven’t seen anything wrong in the app but the ads. Most of the apps nowadays, have ads. Thanks for continuing to improve my weather app!

Latest version poorly designed. The latest version of the iOS app puts interface elements in the space reserved for iOS so when you attempt to interact with them you’re obstructed by the iOS interface instead of the app itself.

Weather reports…... I need an explanation to what the colors mean…..

Since update crashes. Use to be my favorite weather App. Have no idea why they felt it needed changed. Have to open and close several times to get it to work. Use to have a great look now looks like every other weather app.

School closings removed?. I can’t find this information anymore. Has it been removed? If so, I’ll just delete it. It was the one thing I had it on my phone for.

Weather forcasts. WPXI is probably one of the worst forecasters of the weather in Pittsburgh they often can’t get it right when it is happening. I look often to see what tomorrow or next weeks outlook is. It rarely match’s what actually happens. You can’t even get accurate temperature readings from their sight.

Don’t like changes. Ever since you changed your app I don’t get alerts even though it’s turned on. Also it’s just seems more complicated than it has to be.

Waste of time. Why do I have to watch a video for a storm warning? Just list the counties/ areas affected. Quick access to that info could be valuable in an emergency situation.

Good local weather app. Neatly designed app with features such as social media, photos, radar, forecast, and live viewing at certain news hours. The app could use more features to set itself apart from others such as average and record high / low temps. The only real bummer with this app is an unadvertised in-app purchase for $4.99 to enable the NWS safety alerts! If not for that, I would give it a higher rating.

Weird. Half the screen is taken up with a picture of one of some news lady. I'd rather see weather information. Also it has banner ads with no option to get rid of them. No thanks.

Review. Great app, don't like the fact you have to $4.99 to unlock everything else, but I do like this app!

Needs to be updated more frequently, not once a week. Update: 2/3/14 The video forecast I just watched is for THURSDAY, this is MONDAY... We just had 4 inches of snow today... Please fix this app so we get frequent updated forecasts in the video. Ridiculous otherwise. Make an effort people! This could be a great app. ***** We've had severe weather for 3 days, today is Saturday and the "forecast" is for Thursday. What a joke. This used to be very good. I've demoted it to one star.

WPXI weather app. Update not working...Better before ...Freezes up Please fix....would give minus star if I could

Used to be my favorite weather app. This app used to be clean and organized. Before today, it was a five star app. The update I got today looks nice, but the actual forecast part of the app is so small, I can't even read it. Half of my screen is taken up by a video, which I will never watch. I'll be looking for a new weather app today.

Update made it worse. Didn’t care for the changes in the latest update. The old interface was far simpler and I could quickly see the weekly forecast and expand to see the hourly. Now I have to scroll and flip through tabs to get to what I want to see.

What has happened. This used to be my go to app for local weather but is no longer dependable. Crashes almost immediately upon selecting a tab. Please fix it!

Poorly done and annoying ads. Used to like this app. Will be changing to another one as soon as this review is written If I wanted to play the lottery I wouldn’t be looking at a weather app. Shocking poor taste. Who’s bright idea was that???

New UI is less productive. This new UI has made me and my wife switch to another app. The old UI was easy to use and didn’t auto start video

Updated app 2019, May. I can see the weather people but, there is no weather report. It is plain white, blank. I'm very upset over this, this was my place I counted on for my daily weather reports. 😡

Ad Interference. The Ad pops up every other second. You can't see the weather.

Horrible app. Layout is awful, updates are horrible. I deleted this app after 5 mins and installed wtae's app which is much nicer

Very limited video. Video only available when weekday tv newscast is broadcast. Would be nice if the latest one is always available to view, even if they are only updated on the broadcast schedule.

Best weather site in Pittsburgh. WPXI has the easiest and best weather page.When I travel, especially in inclement weather your site is the first and only place I look . It is easy, thorough and accurate. The best!

Broke. You broke it. status bar is white when it loads and it freezes the entire ipad.

Not working. App is saying its 14 degrees its July doesn't make sense

This app crashes my iPhone 4. I am running ios 7.1 on my iPhone 4 and the iPhone completely freezes up when I use this app. This is not the first time that this has happened. After trying everything else I needed to do a hard reset to get back to the home screen. I decided that enough is enough and I deleted this app from my iPhone 4 a few minutes ago.

If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. Used to be great...now it ain’t.

Lots of bugs. Crashes and when it doesn't crash, continuous ad loop. You can't access any content because ad reappears as soon as you X out. You can't get to support page either. Another bad WPXI app
