Unreliable. The app is unreliable. Daily forecasts are not always updated properly. For example, the app displayed a 40% chance of rain throughout the day with a heavy flooding alert with no time table. However, WSOCTV News at Noon predicted a 10% chance of rain with no flooding threats. The entire day had almost no clouds and not a drop of rain. There have been other inconsistencies, but another issue with the app is that sometimes it will no give me the current day's forecast. The seven day forecast will begin with the following day. I have closed and relaunched the app to see if it the issues would be corrected. I even tried installing and then re- installing the app. It's broken. Steve Udilson is wrong; the app is not mu best friend.

Good weather app. WSOC-TV weather app is the best local app I have found. Very user friendly. Other channels’ apps have too many ads. A weather alert sounds and some of them take me to an add. Not so with WSOC-TV. It is easy to use radar to show what you want to see. I recommend it.

Weather. It’s too confusing, most of the time. I don’t want videos from yesterday or last week. Want to click the news.. half the time it doesn’t work. Commercials too many. Thinking of changing stations. Too, bad, I like the meteorologists

Great job!. I am 51 years old and I have been watching channel 9 news and weather since I was a young boy having to change the channels on grandma and grandpa’s TV by hand, turned the knob😂 I drive a truck and haul logs all day long so I am outdoors all day and I’ll follow yawls forecast and radar all day long! Keep up the great work I will try to get some videos or photos when I’m out in the weather! God bless all!

Fake weather. Never gets the weather right with all this technology……it was better in the 80s and 90s …..deleting app due to fake news

Poor updates. The app parallels The Weather Channel, which I just gave a one star also. The live forecast on TV was better, but I sure wouldn’t want to plant crops or harvest based on this info.

No longer works.. I’m not sure what happened but the app hardly ever works right anymore. The temperature nearly always says it’s 77 degrees, morning, noon and evening, every day of the week. Also, the radar no longer works. I’ve tried uninstalling and installing it again but it didn’t help. I’m going to permanently uninstall it and find something else.

pretty good but some downsides. I like this app but in the summer they can hardly prodict a weather forcast a day away and they say it's not going to rain and yet it rains or they say it's going to rain and it dosent rain at all its a 20 percent acuricy for the summer and spring time the good part is the notification they send out the alerts and sometimes there fucher cast so it's good to have but watch out the acuricy needs to be a tad better

My Favorite News and Weather. I really enjoy WSOC-TV News and Weather. I feel the news coverage is honest and non-sensationalized. I don't care for the "first seen" on WSOC-TV. I am more concerned the facts are correct, not being the first to broadcast an event. I like all the members of the news team: anchors, weather, sports, community assistants, reporters in various locations, etc. As a journalism minor in college, I have been appalled by the poor job being done on various stations. You should be proud of your station!

WSOC-TV weather app.. This app and the weather team behind it is simply the best for the Charlotte metro area.

Weather App. I work outside on a daily basis and the channel 9 weather app is very helpful in preparing me for the day and alerts throughout the day!

Interrupts phone calls. I am deleting this app today! This app keeps interrupting my phone calls over and over and you cannot hear the other person speaking! It could be your father’s last dying breath and words, and it will interrupt what they are saying and you can never get that back again! I am over this!

Horrible. The update ruined the app. It crashes constantly. Missing features the other app had. Deleting it and getting another local app. Very disappointing..

Wonderfully Useful. Just downloaded the app. Easy to navigate, looks great, well-thought-out. I could do without the ads, but what can you do? Better than the stock iPhone app.

Awful. White on blue letters are awful

Daily highs/lows not accurate anymore. Not sure what happened but for about a month now when looking at Daily high/low it is not accurate. Have to open up Hourly to get an accurate high & low for the day. Example today its showing High of 70 & highest temp it gets all day today is 56. Please fix it. Thx

Bad update. The app was great before the update. It is no longer user friendly and difficult to navigate.

Last update ruined it. I used to love this weather app, and would’ve given a 5 star rating for the previous version. But removing the video feature has really ruined this app for me. Without the video updates, this is app is just like the other weather apps. Very disappointed. And I’ve noticed most of the recent reviews say the same, and it’s not being addressed.

Super!. This app is wonderful. It's more useful than I even thought it would be. I love the audio warnings for severe weather that is coming to my area and the school closings tab. I have several locations set up throughout the country for my travels. Great job, this is a keeper!

Disappointed in latest update. I used the video feature daily and now it’s no longer available. Very disappointed with this change. Also, the previous version seemed faster to access the hourly forecast. Now you have to open a completely separate page to get this feature. We used this app at work regularly to plan our jobs based on weather conditions and it was great. Now it’s just another app.

Jack. To much air time on weather!!! It is the same thing on all the broadcast .Most of the time it’s wrong.

No thanks. The old version of this app was my go-to weather app of choice. Too many lousy changes on the new one, I won’t use it anymore. Have switched to a competing app. Will be deleting on 5/1 after old version stops working. Why not keep a version that runs on iOS 9?

AWESOME WEATHER APP!!. No matter where I go I can always get the latest and greatest local weather report and especially the local radar plus warnings well in advance of all types of hazardous weather storms…. AND THEIR ACCURATE!! Best weather app of all of them and I’ve tried many, this one is a keeper…and a user for your weather forecast!!David

Newer not better. Earl April downloaded the update as old version going away. What a mistake. Would have been better just to delete the app, as most of the features I loved, like hourly rain probability using icons, local radar, easy navigation are gone, ads moved to center of screen. Right now it is just taking up memory. You can do better with a different weather app. Adios!

John Ahrens fan…. WSOC-TV is my go to for news and weather. Been a fan of John Ahrens for years.

Radar. Excellent resource for weather prediction.

Dew pt. & accuracy with some emoting on air. Since the station no longer accepts email, we’ll use the app. Neither the iPhone app nor the part time chief meteorologist provide Dew point, but every other station in the area does. I will not watch someone who can’t enunciate, slurs and emotes over weather and is usually wrong. I will also not watch anyone who drools over whiz-bang radar at the expense of ignoring the balance of the viewing area. As for the app, put the dew point in the iPhone app and you have 5 stars. You have radar options. In the meantime, I’ll watch Keith and Ashley, or another station when they’re not on.

Uses a ridiculous amount of data. Used 5 gigs of data in 10 days and has cost me $60 in overage charges so far.

Don’t rain on my road. So many times when it is raining in Rock Hill City on our road it doesn’t. Like the storm yesterday, my daughter lives in town just a couple of blocks from the fountain, poured down at her house didn’t rain at all here. So funny we say it don’t rain on Dunlap Roddey Rd. It like stopes at the end of our road , maybe a few yards will get some but not many. This happens a lot. But got some last night. LOL

Won’t work half the time. Since the new update it says I need to connect to WiFi when I open the app or error failed. I have to reboot my phone to get it to work. Not very useful

Severe storm notices.... We really enjoy everything from these people...We rely on this valuable information for our safety and well being...

WSOC-TV. Their weather app is the best that I have ever used, it alerts me well ahead of what is on it’s way. I would recommend this app to anyone it gets a Thumbs up from me.

New weather system. You had a good working radar. The new one is seriously inadequate. Please go back to your previous radar. Radar is important to me.

Weather Radar. Format it great, but your future radar cast is best!

Ad’s Ruin App. Enjoyed the app until they started making you watch an ad before the video. Get a notification of “Breaking News”, tap on it to see the “Breaking News” and have to endure a 30 second video ad before seeing the “Breaking News”. By the time the ad finish’s, the news conference or video about the situation is concluding or you have missed major portion of the information.

Great app. Easy to use and understand. Updated regularly. Love the WSOC team.

Last Update. I love this!!! I can't live without it. However since my last update I can not open the app. My IPad software is up to date. Can anyone advise?

Forecast. Today was not at all what you forecasted so I would give 0 stars but it made me give you one!

Hourly viewing. Would be great to be able to see the weather hourly and to click on that day and see outlays for each day

If it Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix it.. The old app worked great so why change it? The menu on this app is easy to navigate, but that is about all I can say about the new set-up. The contrast is lighter. Which makes it harder for persons with poor vision to read. I prefer a weather app without adds. The adds are very distracting. I appreciate the time and work that went into making the new app, but am asking that you consider making a few improvements that would help those of us with poor vision.

Say What?. Previous versions of the app had the ability to view video of the most recent weather forecast. This was useful to those of us who were interested in weather. The WSOC-TV meteorologists do a great job. What knucklehead thought that the streaming video of anything but weather would be meaningful in this app? Whoever that was kick them in the shins or give them a dope slap.

Way off lately. The forecast shown on app doesn’t even come close to match their live, and video recorded forecast.

Needs work... Nice update, but would love to see opening weather graphics with only the colorful pictures, along with wind & humidity. Leave out the weather man pic on front. Put him on the bottom of the page, along with video forecast, & leave the section for displaying weather, for the weather. Also, it would be real nice if you could display your hourly temps in a horizontal scroll, to save space & improve scrolling. Also, if you could display a 10-day forecast instead of 7, on front page, that would improve the experience. Thanks.

Terrible. I really liked this app from the start, but with every update it gets worse and worse. I am trying to find one I like so I can delete this one.

Watchit68. The new updated app is not very responsive and constantly freezes up. Needs more work.

So so app. OK for what it is, but enough rough edges and malfunctions make it seem as a beta release.

Ugh!. Horrible revamp. All my data is missing. How do you see rain on a green map. Bring back the old one.

Crashes. After latest update app crashes immediately. A delete and reinstall does not fix the problem. I loved the app before the update.

New version of Wsoc Weather app. App is too busy and difficult to navigate. I would like to have the previous version.

Ghost alerts. Keep getting alerts from Houston. I deleted Houston a year ago. Turned off all flood warnings. Keep getting Houston flood warnings. Big bad bug......

The worst ever. Tried to install this. It got stuck after 20 seconds. Won't install, can't delete. No amount of re-setting, re-booting etc. will fix. It blocks everything else. NIGHTMARE!!!

Too much. It was great before, simple to use. To much going on now.

Can't open.. I downloaded this but the app didn't show up. From the start I can't open the 9 app.

Humidity. I love the new look but I do miss the humidity.

Completely useless. A rock could predict weather better than this app. The radar is overrated and in no way shows what is really happened or real predictions. If you want to know the weather just look at this app and go the oppostie direction. Such a horrible weather app

Like the old version better!!. Tells me and alerts me when need which is AWESOME but I loved the old version better. The new one doesn’t have a well put together radar and I can’t see news or videos anymore. Go back to the old version!

Not Worth Downloading. This app doesn't work well. Radar is not even close and the app closes by itself all the time.

Crashes. This app worked OK until the recent (July 18) update. Now it will not load -- crashes and returns to menu screen

To many ads. Ads keep popping up to the point I don’t even have time to scroll through the weather it’s very annoying

Leave well enough alone!. 3/29/19 Just opened the app this morning only to find the new version. I use this app daily for local weather as well as for travel forecasts & conditions. First, I had to reload all of my locations. Then I tried the radar....really, trying to read “green” (rain) on the green map background is ridiculous! On the home page, reading white text on a white clouds background is nearly impossible! I liked it when I could pick up my iPad & easily & quickly check weather conditions and/or forecasts. It is way too cumbersome so I am now looking for a better weather app!

Will not open. Just tried to open app, but it failed. Reinstalled, but still crashes immediately.

Update issues. ..... and now unless you buy into the iphone new device every six month madness, this app no longer supports most previous IOS

Bring back old design. Terrible revamp. Always a network error so I can’t view current forecast. It was much easier when you could just click the day and the hourly forecast popped out to the side. The older version was much more user friendly. And where’s the videos???

Decent app. Since last update I've had a heavy rain alert that won't go away. It's sunny with a 0% chance of rain today but I still have a heavy rain event alert.

Not impressed. Hard to maneuver, can't get the radar to work. All day yesterday showed snow over my neighborhood when it was freezing rain.

Last update is terrible. App was great. Now too slow & too much resources used. No problem with the old app. Wish I had never updated.

Videos. Please bring the videos back.

Sweet app!. Glad I found this. It's really cool to look at, has all the weather and I can watch the newscasts. Great job!
