Great!. This is my third review... After using this app for a couple of days after the redesign, I have to say that the new design is really nice and packed with quite a few nifty features! It isn't as simple as it once was but it now gives so much more information and new features which are awesome! I absolutely LOVE that the app knows what I'm going to put as a new item just by the price that I enter! :D However, one thing I really wish that you would change is the following: • When you pull down to enter an item, there are the 3 lines which you can press and it brings up a menu of everything you have ever entered (for quick typing I guess).. In previous versions you could delete the names that you entered, however in this version, this feature is unavailable.. So I am stuck with all the items I had put in before the update. To me, this is really cluttered and a little bit annoying, if you let us delete the items then this app would be epic :) (If you can already do this then I'm sorry for ranting lol) But overall, an incredible application with a beautiful UI and a ton of nifty features!

STARTING BALANCE? HELP!!!. I just now installed this. However, I cannot figure out how & where to enter my beginning balance. I’ve been wanting a simple finance app, and this sounded like it might be what I need. Hope you can help so I can use this.

Export function no longer works. I have enjoyed using this app... until a recent update prevents me from exporting my data. Every time I try to export I get an error message which says "email not configured. Please configure email account on your device before use this feature". I have an email account on my device already configured...

Essential for Retirees. I’m on a limited Social Security budget. I’ve found it invaluable at giving a quick snapshot of not only am I maintaining my budget, but how much I’m spending on food.

Convienent and Motivational. Having it in my pocket ready to write down my expenses as soon as i purchase something is very helpful. Like an old fashioned booklet that comes with your checks except this does the math for you. Very very convenient! I put 4 stars because there are things that can be done to improve it like customizing the week start and end days. (I have my homemade budget starting on Saturdays and ending on Friday aka payday.) Also it would be nice to be able to use multiple tags on one entry, so that i could tag it with a category (like groceries and rent) AND payment type (like apple pay, paypal, credit, debit, etc.) Add these features, and I will rate it with 5 stars. :)

Currency. Make home currencies changeable

Everyday Expense report. Easy to use. Keeps everything pretty detailed.

Add more currencies. Used the app for some months now. It’s simple, user friendly and has a beautiful layout. But it annoys me when I am forced to use a different currency because my Malawi Kwacha currency is not there. Please consider adding more currencies.

Please get rid of the “other” category. I’ve been using this app for over 5 years and it is so helpful for my monthly budget reconciliation. Recently you made a change where you group dozens of expenses into an “other” category and it has destroyed my work flow. Can you please get rid of this feature? I can’t imagine any benefit

A little too simple. Not much here. Missing bare minimum features. The UX flow is a “bit” off as well. After trying to find a way to make this app function in a manner that works well, I gave up on it. Simple does not always mean “user-friendly” in fact, too simple is more frustrating for the user. The tag setting isn’t really “tag”... It’s just a title. If I could at least create real tags, group expenses, create recurring expenses/items and have incoming/outgoing or +/- to have a legitimate number to draw against when budgeting... This app would be useful.

Cool interface but missing features. The interface is simple, that’s cool. But I missed a lot feature like: pre setting tags or categories, there are not possibility to add different source of account and etc.

well designed and easy to use app to keep track of spending. and export for later analysis. only wishes are if it would have 2 or 3 levels of categories and the ability to take a picture of a bill to link to the expense.

I use this every day. 5coins is super convenient and it helps me stay on top of my spending. It only takes me about 10 seconds to enter an expense. Then I can view past expenses by the day, week, month or year. It seems to get pretty regular updates too that make it easier to view your spending data. I definitely recommend!

Sleek and elegant. Thanks for the fix that restored the app to its former glory! This is the only financial tracking app I’ve ever kept up with longterm. Data entry is super easy. The app generally recognizes repeating payments to the same entity. One thing I would like to see is a way to tag with more than one item. For example, I would like to be able to see my expenses on all groceries as well as individual stores. Other than that, it’s more important to me that the app covers the necessities and is a pleasure to use.

Do Not Use. I had deleted this app a year ago and just noticed that all data was still being backed up on the cloud! All data should have been deleted once the app was deleted!

Nice and decent. It gives you everything you need to track you spending. Easy to use, easy to check. Perfect.

Handy way to track cash. I love how simple and quick this app helps me keep track of my cash expenses. Even without receipts I have a record to help balance my budget. $5 here, $2.75 there- it adds up to a lot over time and this makes me aware of where the money goes. I can enter these expenses into my Quicken accounts and have a better idea of where the money is going. Thanks!

Was the Best moneytracker app. I like the app, but last modifications are horrible 1) I miss it’s classic widget part from iOS 13, current widget is not so informative as previous one, please add the old style on Lock Screen:) 2) please get back Expense Category Picker to app like in version 7, it’s annoying to input category every time with keyboard or tap on arrow to open category list. It was so easy to add expenses with Category Dial Picker, but now it takes more time for simple things… :((((((

Lacks prior features and functionality. Prior versions of this app showed red when you were over budget in the day, week, or month view. That was a very useful feature so you could see, in real time, how your budget was going. That feature appears to be gone, and despite numerous contacts to the developer over the past year, there is no restoration. Without that feature, this app lost a lot of its usefulness.

Best expense tracking app. This is the best I have used so far. Please consider adding recurring payment option, thank you!

Back to loving the app. The only thing I wish wasn't changed was the auto fill of the categories. --- I bought have loved this app for years for its simplicity but now that it updated, every time I try to open it, it crashes IMMEDIATELY. I’ve deleted, re-downloaded, restarted my phone, etc. still haven’t used it for days.

Currency. I’m a first time user of your app and I haven’t started using it because I don’t see my country - Tanzania Can you please enter it in next update but for now I can’t start using it, consider an extra currency where you can change the name and country

Would not open on iPhone 8 iOS 11.2.1. Worked fine on iOS 11.0, failed after I upgrade to 11.2.1. Quit immediately when I open the app. Pls check. Thanks.

Feature poor. I enjoy your app but its usefulness is limited in the current form. I would like to be able to see a breakdown of my expenses by category. That way I could see how much is spent on what and try to rebudget accordingly. Is this possible and I simply can’t find the feature? That would make sense because an inability to filter or view or manipulate the data doesn’t serve the user. If this isn’t possible for some reason and all the app can do is show overall expenses and trends, can you make the ability to see expenses by each category possible? Thank you.

Exceedingly user-friendly and slick, but.... Downloaded the app, launched it and — boom — was taken right to the interface without even as much as a tutorial. But after a few minutes of some minimal poking around, it was easy for me to get the lay of the land in no time. I have one major quibble: there is no provision for credits. Sure I can spend my money, but how do I add back in refunds? Or deposits for that matter? It is simply not possible. Until then, this app will go to my curiosity junkpile. Sigh...

simple and beautiful. great looking, easy to use app

After updated, all data gone. It could be an awesome app because of the simple design and handy functions. After track my daily spent about a month, the app updated itself. Then, EVERYTHING gone!!! It said the data is backup in iCloud but it seems like it doesn't work in that way! Extremely disappointed!!!

Nice and Simple. It's fluid and easy to use. Please make the swipe-up to input a cost FASTER as you have to wait for a few seconds before you can type numbers. Also, add an "earn" feature where you can enter money that isn't a cost.

Not good. I entered a lot of data and one day logged out of iCloud. After logging back into iCloud all data was lost. In principle a good app, keeping things simple, but not fit for purpose when it comes to retaining data.

Great app. Love this app. The simplest I've found to keep track of expenses. PLEASE PLEASE can you allow it to track fortnightly. My budget runs fortnightly from wed-tues. Would be perfect if it could track within those parameters.

Simple and practical budgeting app. I like the GUI, simple and practical. Having top five list of my common expenses is really a time saver. Another feature i like is the spending projection based on my expenses on average. Albeit not really that accurate but it is good enough to warn me to not overspending my budget. Overall it is a nice and working app. Worth to try for someone into managing budget and expenses

Some features were good in older version. Great small app for everyday use to keep your expenditures. Some features were good in older versions such as it used to refresh on the day the app is opened but now it stays on the day you last used and you have to refresh yourself. Also I wouldn’t like the app to go to future dates like it used to be in older version but can’t say much about it as some prefer to add in future date. What I used to do was enter to current date and edit it to future date if I needed to add to future date. I liked the layout in older versions too but current versions are not too bad either.

Good utility app. Overall a good and useful and simple way of tracking expenses. Latest update with flashing numbers is a bit weird though. Is it possible to add the ability to show a grouped view via categories as well as timelines?

Erased everything!. I am so disappointed in this app. I have been using this since January to track my expenses and have been quite fond of it.. Until today. I just found out that I lost EVERYTHING up until 2 days ago. 5 months worth of data all gone. So angry!

Still the se issue. Since the last update, i lost ally data saved.it's very bad. I hope you will retrieve it in the next update.

Good start.... Not too bad. It has some nice features, but... It would be great if we could scroll side to side with a swipe. More importantly when viewing the itemized expenses, we should be able to scroll left and right by swiping to quickly see where and on what we're spending; not bouncing out and in to each day one at a time. I'm sure it will evolve so that when viewing expenses you'll be able to easily see a list for total amount spent for items that are purchased frequently so you can quickly see how much you're spending on those particular items. When viewing the percentages, it would be great to see ALL expenses, not just what appears to be the "top 5". Looking forward to the updates!

Won't open. I just updated this APP to the latest version and now it won't open at all. It shuts down as soon as I try to open it. Please fix it!!! I use this APP every day.

Quick, simple, to the point. I have been using this app for several years now and I love it. It is so easy to input expenses as you go on the fly, as every expense added defaults to today's list of expenses. This saves a few "mouse clicks" and makes it easy to use, which makes you want to use it even more. If you accept donations, I will gladly contribute.

Handy and easy. I have downloaded a BUNCH of apps to keep track of my expenses, but none of them where so lightweight and easy to use. I have only used for a few days, so I don't know what to add to make it better, but it would be nicer if the bars changed color, from green to red, as the amount goes up.

Fast, easy and to the point. This app is extremely easy to use and very simple. Adding and keeping track of your expenses is a breeze without having much clutter.

Look No Further. After trying out 4 or 5 other daily spending apps, not one if them was easier to use. This one was/is undoubtedly my favorite. And the interface is so beautiful, you almost want to spend money simply to be able to use the app more haha

Simple, best spending tracker out there. This is a great app. It's easy to use, and very basic. Just put in the money spent, then what you spent it on. Can get any easier than that. My only complaint is that if you have a long description you can't see the whole thing. If you could make the text wrap into a second line, or be able to drag across and see long lines then this app would be absolutely perfect!

Excellent app. Worked great up until latest update which came with some great features. App crashes on my iPhone 5s if I try to view entries back a few days. Otherwise it is a great app as long as you remember to enter your expenses. The % expense feature is a big vague though. Needs to include all expenses rather than just a few.

OK but.... Generally speaking it does what it's supposed to do in an elegant and useful way. Problem is the blue background and white lettering are very difficult to read, especially in bright light and the authors of the app just replied "oh well". They need to make the color scheme changable. 2/13 now the upgrade comes along making the thing unusable. Can't upgrade my previous data, can't e-mail support, doesn't use any of my previous categories, and crashes constantly. I'd give it no stars if I could.

Easy!. This app is perfect for what I need. It's a simple, easy-to-use way to keep track of spending habits. I'm not trying to create or stick to a budget; there are other apps for that. But if you need a money tracker, give this one a try.

The most useful app for budgeting. This app is a life-saver for those who have trouble keeping track of their spending. It's great that you can create as many or as few categories as you want, based on how you as an individual spend your money. I was recommended this app by a friend, and I'd recommend it to anyone else.

Still buggy. Have used this for a month straight, and still finding problems. Would have sent through a feedback email but there is none. 1) Cloud > export > no mail set-up in iPad. Need to export without mail account. (Want to sync between devices but can't since mail isn't synced.) Also, app crashes if I go from non-setup to month overview. 2) tapping anywhere in main screen should show day's spending, not just tiny button at bottom. 3) Need to be able to cache monthly/daily/weekly view in overview screen. Currently it ALWAYS goes to daily despite last views. (I only use monthly, so it needs to show last screen I was in.) It's a pretty app, but I think it still needs work.

Perfect for everyday spending!. This app was just what I was looking for; an easy way to track everyday spending. I'm giving four stars instead of five because a) I'd like to see the day of the week accompanying the date and b) I'd like to be able to access the spending snapshot for individual months.

Simple = Perfect!!!!. This is the app I've been waiting for to get a handle on my spending. I have downloaded every finance app but I have never stuck to using any of them. The UI is pleasing, simple and easy to use. After entering the amount spent I like the automatic switch to enter a note. To those reviewers already asking for accounts, tags etc. read the description about the app. It was designed purposefully without those cumbersome features for those looking for a way to record their daily transactions only. I'm looking forward to using this app. Please don't change a thing!

Newbee. Just downloaded. Think this app has potential, however, it needs more work unless I'm missing something! Thus far, the app does not allow you to revise an entry or, delete an entry which is very important. If this gets fixed, and/or a simplistic set of instructions are included in the app, it can be successful.

Almost perfect. Love this app. I only use it for cash that I spend daily, not for bills. It is however, MISSING the day of the week. On the main page, if I I want to add something from two days ago, or three, I need to know the date. Just wish they would add the day of the week. Also color choices would be nice!

Awesome app, but.... In my honest opinion, it's a good app to control how much you're spending, with beautiful graphics and easy control... But it should be possible to choose which day of the month you want it to control how much you spent, cause everyone know that the cards are not necessary counting from the first to the last month... Just an idea that i think you guys should think about

Fantastically simple. I've been growing so tired of all the over complicated, unnecessarily busy finance apps, and especially because I just want to monitor expenses. I don't need to balance anything, link to accounts, etc. this is a great tally of my expenses and I love the "bubble chart" with every category tag a percentage of the overall expenses. My one addition would be a filter that would show the bubble graph by week, month, and year, rather than just year like it is currently. Other than that, fantastic app!! Thank you so much to the devs for creating it!

Exactly what I needed. It helps me to keep a simple yet most handy record of where I spend my money and how much I spent for the entire month! Don't have to brows my online banking and go through the long list since I've got this app! Ammazing 😊😊

Great expense app. 5coins does a great job tracking your expenses. It is simple and easy to use. I have tried others who turned out to be burdensome and frankly quit using them. 5coins, however, makes it a breeze to conveniently keep up. I highly recommend it.

It really helps. I have been surprised at how much more aware it makes me about spending my money. When I account for every dime spent, I'm able to see the things I buy that are a want instead if a need. Plus, the app is super easy to use!!

Beautiful app but hard on eyes. This app seems to change in its lighting from morning to night. I can really only work on this app at night when the screen is not so light and "sunny." It's very hard on the eyes during the day time. I wish there was a way I could change it.

Helpful and easy. An easy way to keep track of your spending. Categories are easily customizable. Too helpful, simple and convenient not to use.

Finally found what I was looking for. For the past few months, I've been looking for a simple, clean, and easy to use finance tracker. I've finally found it with 5coins. It's beautiful, it's minimalistic and simple, and it's easy to use. It's almost perfect. The only thing I want is cloud sync (iCloud or Dropbox). Or at least a way to export the data because long term it's not going to be easy or practical to view past data. I also want this app for income. And have them talk to each other somehow.

Hard to Read. A beautifully simple app, but very thin white text on a light background make this app a pain to use. Especially for older people or people with vision problems. Please consider offering font alternatives or consider changing to a more readable font. Also it would be nice to see a yearly total as well as a printable report page for the year with category like totals or an itemized list. One last thing. It definitely needs to support landscape orientation on the iPad! A nice start!

Missing features from previous vs.. A number of issues that take away from the experience: 1 - there's is no way to input a future charge like there was in the previous vs. when selecting a future time or date the scroller bounces back to the current time and date. 2 - reporting a bug or requesting a feature opens the mail app but no email address is provided to the send the email to so both these features are useless 3 - website has no contact info either. Please bring back the future charges which I used all the time

Nice app but need more functions. This app is super simple and useful for my daily life. There are no ads, notifications and even no setting options. But if the developer can add some more useful functions such as multiple currency selections and income selections, this app would be much more better!

All the info you need. You can record what you spend and where you spend it and can check your information on a daily, weekly or monthly basis at any time. The app is simple and basic. There are no unnecessary steps or distractions and this makes it very clear and quick to use.

Cant read the type in daylight!. I use this ever day and recommend it to all my friends - that said, the thin white type on a light blue background is almost entirely illegible. Can you offer different color schemes or themes? or just make an option for thick white type on a dark blue background? Also editing of categories is not obvious-can that be done? thanks!

Beautiful, but.... ...needs the ability to track the balance of your account(s). For me, that's a deal breaker. It would also be nice if the decimal point were automatically added when entering the numbers of a transaction. Aside from that, very beautiful expense tracking app with some really clever UI tricks. Definitely keeping on my phone to look for future app updates.

Missing One Thing. I'm really enjoying this app and have decided to switch to it. It would be nice if you could add a description to the expense. That way you could see exactly what item or service you paid for. I really hope you decide to add this feature thanks.

Awesome money saver!!! Please read!. This app is fantastic and allows you to easily keep track of where all your money is going. Very well designed and very easy to use. BUT... I would love for there to be an update that allows you to put more categories in the circles with the percentages. As of right now it only lets you put 1 big one in the middle and 4 bubbles connected to it. Please fix!

Simple and Very Useful!. I love this app. It's intuitive, simple, clean design makes it easy on the eyes. It would be nice to have a search option to look for a particular item(s) to see how often or how much you've spent on an item over time.

Great, add currencies. Wonderful design: beautiful yet simple and intuitive interface. Great functions, I like how they keep it simple. But the app needs to add the option to change currencies, and quickly. And not just dollars and euros, but currencies for other countries too. For example, I live in Colombia and I can't use this app because it's only set to dollars, and our currency works different from bucks. When you add them I'll rate differently, but for now it's a great app I won't be able to use.

Easy to use, just a few problems. This app is simple and fun to use. It really helps me to see where my money is going. Just a couple of problems....for some reason it will quit on me in the middle of using it. Also I entered something in the wrong month and it wouldn't allow me to delete it. But otherwise this is a great app.

Best money management app IMO. This app makes me aware of how much money I'm actually spending--and I haven't even put all my transactions on here. I just like how the app looks and how easy it is to use. I tried to see if other apps that did similar things were better, but I quickly deleted them. I like this app though.

Great and simple. Simple, easy to use, looks AMAZING. This is exactly the app that I have been looking for. All the other apps get too complicated and don't have the % for year. It was nice to see that here. It would be cool to have income as well but great great app.

This would make it perfect!. I'm giving you five stars because at the moment the app is simple, beautiful and works really well to it's purpose. I do have one wish though. Now that iOS 8 is out. Could you please have a notification center extension where we could manually enter our spendings instead of having to open the app all the time? This would literally make it perfect! Please do this. Simple but adequate. Fine for what it promises to be - a simple way for me to log what you spend every day by entering each expenditure. It will add up how much you spent each day,and also add up your spending per week and per month. There is no way to break things down into categories (how much for meals vs how much for gas money), but I suppose that is asking too much for such an inexpensive app.

Simple, Elegant, and it Works!. This app helps track daily spending, which is a great method to know where your income goes. It simply allows you to input the amount spent and it calculates the daily, weekly, and monthly totals. If more people kept track if their expenses like this people would have a better idea of what is going on with their financial situation. If done correctly this could identify the latte effect in one's spending.

Perfect travel tool. The app is easy to use and is the ideal tool when traveling. I note expenses as they occur, it's quick and easy and I like the way it breaks down expense categories. Simple and extremely useful

Basics only, but it works!. This works just the way it claims. When you spend you enter the amount on a keyboard image. The app saves this and you can view your total spending by day, week, or month. You do not have the ability to categorize spending

The only app of this kind that sticks for me. As mentioned in the title. It is so simple that it is easy to re-enter stuffs you forgot to enter all at one go without feeling overwhelmed. You felt like there's missing features here and there but sometimes that's why it works.

As simple as it gets...good enough for some purposes. Tap +, key in the amount and a short note on what it was for (or tap a button for shortcuts to recent notes), hit Done, view the day's total. If you forgot to key in something from a few days back, just swipe to that day and do the above. Easy peasy. The app does provide a few basic summary reports (daily/weekly/monthly histograms), but if you want to track expenses across several accounts, this is probably not the app for you.

Beautiful and simple. Really nice, functional app that does what the description says. Not more and not less. Hope to see some additional features in the future though!

Love it, just one thing missing. This is one of the cleanest apps aesthetically and functionally. Adding entries is a breeze, and everything looks and feels beautiful. The problem arises with international users who tend to use more than one currency at a time, I'm hoping to see multi currency support in the next version, that would transform this app into a true five star app and an incredibly functional tool.

Crash. The app is simply awesome! The best I've ever used. But it crashes in my iPhone 5, and it would be far better if you add income 2.it will make the tracking of expenses and savings easier. Thank you for this great app.

Makes budgeting easy. We've never had to be on a budget until now. This app looks like it's going to make the whole thing easier. More manageable. The app is easy to use. Seems to have flexibility in categories.

Simple to use, easy interface. If you want to keep the record of all the coins mysteriously slipping through your fingers, then it's a pretty useful app. It's easy to use and check all the money I used so far Though it doesn't provide detailed pattern of your spending, it's suitable for a mobile phone so that you can keep track of your coins whenever you use them

Nice. Simple and attractive to use. I wish there was an option to choose which currency you are spending (for those of us who don't live in US dollars). Also, an export feature of some kind would make the app invaluable - exporting by month or year into a PDF in Dropbox or the like.

Love the functionality. Great app if you could only see it during the day. If any sun at all might as well forget it. I would use it all the time if I could see the screen. Defeats the purpose if I have to try to remember what entries I have to put in when I can see the screen again. Would be a five star if it wasn't for that.

So Good I Actually Use It. Ive wanted to use a finance tracker app since they first showed up on the app store but this is the one that finally has me logging my expenditures. Beautiful design, intuitive features and would easily be 5 stars when the developer allows me to set it so it opens to the add expenditure screen (basically the numbers-pad). Since this is the most common reason to open the app it doesnt make sense to have a tiny little plus sign in the corner I have to tap.

Love it!. It is helping me keep track of my expenditures. Despite getting other more expensive apps I never managed to keep with it. This one has a simplistic interface and is fast and easy to use. I hope to not experience the deletions others have noted, but so far it has been great.
