Dario Health App Description & Overview

What is dario health app? SMART THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES

Dario makes monitoring blood glucose easy thanks to the small size of its medical device. The Dario Blood Glucose Monitoring System combines the meter, lancet, and a pack of 25 test strips in a unit so small, it can fit in your pocket. This makes it easy to keep with you, whether at home or on the go. With Dario, checking your blood glucose is quick, easy, and discreet, one drop at a time. It’s an all-in-one diabetes tracker.

NOW SUPPORTING BLOOD PRESSURE

Dario is more than just a diabetes tracker for monitoring blood glucose. The app also pairs with the Dario Blood Pressure Monitoring System to record and store blood pressure measurements in the same logbook where you track blood glucose. This gives you a more complete perspective of your health. Track these two medical conditions together to learn more about your health for better conversations with your doctor, and to help you live better every day.

WHAT MAKES DARIO DIFFERENT?

Dario was designed with convenience in mind, to make it easier to see your medical trends and help build healthy new habits according to your results. With insights gained through the Dario app, you may learn which foods and activities lead to better results. You may see how following a treatment plan improves your blood pressure results. Getting this positive reinforcement in real-time can be a powerful motivator! One drop is all it takes to see where you stand with this innovative diabetes tracker.

KEEP YOUR DOCTOR & LOVED ONES IN THE LOOP

Keep your medical care providers and family members up to date on your diabetic measurements. You can share all the data and logbooks inside the Dario application with anyone you like. Simply tap the share icon and select a contact from your address book to share your data instantly.

COUNT CARBS & TRACK ACTIVITY

Any diabetic knows how challenging it can be to keep track of carbohydrate intake. Dario does the math for you. Simply tag which foods you ate, and Dario will automatically calculate how many carbs that gave you. With time, you may even start spotting patterns between the foods you’ve eaten and your blood glucose results and learn how to choose foods that your body responds to better. The same goes for activity. With Dario, you can keep track of your daily exercise (even washing the dishes!) and see if it influences your blood glucose levels. The results of this diabetes tracker may surprise you!

HOW ACCURATE IS DARIO?

Dario has been tested extensively to ensure it meets FDA guidance for accuracy, that 95% of measurements are within ±15% of a true lab-tested value. This means you can be assured that the Dario meter will provide results you can trust. Dario has also presented several studies to the ADA, demonstrating how its system can help improve life for people living with diabetes.

HYPO ALERT SYSTEM WITH GPS LOCATOR

Hypo alerts may save your life! If you have diabetes and have suffered from hypo events in the past, or have a child with diabetes, Dario's hypo alert system with GPS location can help bring you peace of mind. Simply connect the Dario meter to your smartphone, and upon recording a dangerously low glucose reading in one drop of blood, the Dario app will prepare a complete text message, including current blood glucose level and GPS location, to send to up to 4 emergency contacts. Because when a hypo strikes, time is of the essence. And you may not feel well enough to describe your situation. Dario is here to keep you safe.

Bad Test Strips. I had this system for a year why I was trying to lower my A1C down from 6.9. From time to time I would get high readings and I thought it was just me and then after a week of getting high readings I decided to test with my old device and got a normal reading. The readings were as much as 60 points apart. I work with the company and they sent me a solution to test my test strips and it turned out they were bad. So I opened a new pack and things looked okay but after a week I started to get high readings again. I opened up a new package and got a normal reading. It seams that the test strip go bad after a few weeks because it has now happen again. I am going to ask to cancel my subscription.

Love it. I LOVE GADGETS I have been using this for about a month and i LOVE IT. What i love the most is how everything is all together in the palm of your hand. I don’t have to worry about pulling out a meter, bottle of test strips and the lancing device. I use to honesty not even take my sugar how i was suppose to because it was so much to do and pull out but with this it’s so easy and cool to use it makes it impossible to not check them. It will even remind you when it’s time to check your sugar. I don’t use all the features yet but day by day I’m learning to use it more. It’s amazing if your dr wants u to keep a log this app is the best u can even log if u did a workout how many carbs u had and how much insulin u took. I cant wait to order the the blood pressure monitoring system. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS

Can’t test sugar without internet connection. So I was at work this week and the ATT tower near me had an issue and we were notified that it would be down for a week or so( probably a fiber cut) we don’t have WiFi due to security concerns so my phone had no internet connection. The Dario App will not even load to allow me to test my sugar level. So I had to go all day without knowing my levels. This is completely unnecessary. You can try it yourself, turn on airplane mode, then turn WiFi off and try and open the Dario app. You can’t get it to load. This is horrible design and potentially dangerous. I didn’t have a backup sugar testing kit on me, because the Dario is supposed to be convenient, but now I can’t really trust it.

Long live Dario. Can blood sugar monitoring actually be fun. You probably think that’s going a step too far. Intrigued is maybe a more accurate description. I’m a nurse and I’ve checked hundreds of blood sugars on a variety of models. But I haven’t been this intrigued since the advancement in technology that analyzed just a tiny drop of blood to give pretty accurate results. When I started in nursing a “large hanging drop” of blood was needed for analysis. That meant the patient often had to be stuck more than once. Now just a tiny drop is needed and the accuracy is really great. And the idea of it being documented and saved on the app w/o doing a thing is awesome. I can’t wait to see my doctor to see what he thinks. It’s so easy and convenient. Thanks, Dario, for bringing us this great device.

Dario. I am not a diabetic but my husband was and passed away in 2015 from complications of it. I was diagnosed 2 years ago as a pre-diabetic and then I made up my mind to start checking my numbers and keep up with it. I went totally off sugar and pastas and potatoes and white rice and breads that are high carb and started keeping check in a regular meter. I saw the Dario and decided to order one. I love it better than any other meter and so thankful for it. Thank you for this meter that is easier and amazingly small to carry with you. I’m thankful for mine. I hope the strips keep coming to me as I subscribed for them but don’t remember when they’re suppose to be here. Sincerely Sherra Turner

Design flaws. 1. Lacks a facility to calculate insulin requirements based upon current reading and expected carb intake. 2. Lacks the ability to record insulin injected and carbs consumed. 3. Lancing device is a wimp. It does not deal with fingers callused by many years of testing. 4. Lacks a place to store used strips until I'm somewhere near a wastebasket. 5. Needs to recognize that MediCare pays for the strips for many of us. The touted convenience does not justify the cost of the strips, especially in light of the flaws cited above. Summary--great idea, but not there yet. Update. Right now to utilize your your device, I need to get the Dario out and set up with my phone, eventually get a reading after two to four tries and ruined strips. I then go to Glucose Companion, insert the bg result and the expected carb load. I record the results in GC, take my insulin and enjoy my meal while it's still reasonably warm. Or I can start with my old meter, good lancing device, not a lot to put together, get a reading, plug the data into the onboard calculator, record bg, time of day, units of carbs eaten and units of insulin taken All done in about 1/2 the time; meal is delightfully warm and tasty.

Great product, quality could be better. I love how convenient Dario is, the sleek, modern, all-in-one device that doesn't scream diabetes the second you see it. My only complaint after using it for a year, is that the quality is a little lacking. The cap for the strip compartment cracked within month of having the device, and recently the lancet launcher button broke, leaving me to buy a new one altogether. The needles are also much thinner, and bend easier than typical lancet. Fine for me, but can be a issue if you have thicker, calloused skin.

Easy and all in one place. Love that it reads off my iPhone and not having to have another device to sync with. Wish i could track standard solution better. Yes you can use the measure the standard solutions but it is not saved. If you can tag and filter the standard measure results that would be great. I love the graphs and other matrix it give you but want to be able to use tags and filters to see trends better please update thank you

Dangerous. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and went through quite the ordeal with my Dario this weekend and would like to warn others. I have been using Dario for my meter readings for almost a year. A few days ago early in the morning when I went to test my blood sugar, the test strip read something along the lines of “Strip Error, if you try again and get the same error, contact your physician immediately”. I got the error twice, contacted the doctor, she told me to do several units of quick acting insulin, I began to get very shaky. My husband didn’t think it felt right so he went searching for one of my old One Touch meters. He brought it to me, I tested my blood sugar, it said 92… I tested it on the Dario twice more and got two consecutive readings in the 500’s. I tried different test strips for the Dario and they read 89… this could literally have killed me if I had injected more insulin thinking my blood sugar was dangerously high. I’m hoping that what happened to me doesn’t happen to anyone else. When I alerted Dario of the situation they sent me a generic email template with about 100 questions rather than addressing my concerns directly. BEWARE.

Dario Blood Glucose Monitoring System. Being diagnosed with pre diabetes I looked for a system that was good and affordable At first Dario seemed a good deal. While it is somewhat affordable test results are not the most accurate. I can take 3 readings in about 1 minute and get up to 30 points different. But my biggest complaint is that I cannot call them from Alaska. I get the number you dialed cannot be reached from your area. I don’t know about other places in the USA but I like to be able to talk to someone when I have a issue or question. For now I am continuing to use Dario but if I get diagnosed as diabetic I will be going with another system that is covered by my insurance at no cost to me. with 0 deductible unlimited strips.

Very nice. Knocked a star because there’s no way to delete inaccurate readings. On the one hand, this keeps you honest and means you can’t delete scores you just don’t like, but on the other, now my stats are screwed up because there wasn’t enough blood on the strip, I tested from a bad site (scab that came off and happened to bleed. I’m lazy, so sue me) and got a wonky reading, etc etc. Also, I have to undress my phone every time I want to plug in the device (I have an Otterbox for a reason, and it’s not so I can take it on and off twice a day and risk dropping my phone) Otherwise, I really like this system.

Run away!. I love the concept of this however the execution was horrible. Got my meter in the mail opened it up tested my blood and it was 70 to 80 points different from the meter I’ve been using for years which has been tested with my doctor. Tried to calibrate the Dario unfortunately they force you to buy the test solution separately. Spent close to $300 and the meter is useless until I buy the test solution. How hard is it to put a two dollar bottle of test solution in the package along with the test strips.I fear that while this is a great concept the company is only interested in getting your money. Unbelievably shortsighted and not fiscally responsible. Tried to call customer service, they’re closed. What a shame would’ve been so easy for them just to include the solution.

Logbook keeps closing the app. If you are taking a reading, it works, but as soon as you try to add notes or any other distinguishing marks (like fasting, premeal, postmeal, or bedtime), it closes down. When I try to reopen the logbook to make these changes, it closes immediately. They need to get that fixed because that is information my doctor likes to see. I have the latest version of 5.3.4. A new update that fixes this glitch would be nice. I’m tempted to go back to my old meter and the logbook I used on my phone with it until this is fixed.

Works Fine technically, however too intrusive to get just a reading. with regards to getting a glucose reading result, it works, but there are Ads allover and sugestions and requesting information that gets in the way of its simple purpose of getting a glucose reading i recently installed it again to see if it had improved and now i have to provide my cell number to get it to work "fully", and only an "emergency" reading can be taken in small leters way beyond the bottom of the page. my original 4-star is now a 3-star app, sorry reading glucose is serious business for diabetics and have no time for distractions the concept is fine, the hardware is good the final product is not workable for a diabetic when in distress I hope they manage to work around these issues around the diabetic person and not the other way around force people to an intrusive app regards VH

Makes life easier. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I am bee busy and wanted a monitoring system that was small and compact but recorded my readings. This Dario is by far one of the best purchases I have ever made. It is so small and compact, but is packed with all the essentials needed to monitor and manage my blood sugar. The app helps me to stay on top of my overall health when’ll as it relates to diabetes. I am anxiously awaiting the 25 day mark because it states that the app has a function that calculates and averages the reading and gives an approximate A1c reading. Since using this Dario, I am motivated to make good food choices and exercise more regularly because it feels good to meet my daily goals. Anyway, I can’t say enough good things about the Dario and no... I am not working for Dario. I am just excited about how much more practical my life became after purchasing this system.

I got the dia-beetus. Newly diagnosed with Type 2. My Dr rx’ed me with the one touch meter, except for the part that it would keep getting turned on in my purse because of the constant bumping around. I didn’t like that...what happens if I need to take a reading and the dang thing is dead? Did some research and found the Dario. I absolutely love the fact that the meter is powered by your phone. Now I have the iPhone 8+, and the little dongle cord is awesome and keeps the reader far enough away from my phone that I don’t have to worry about getting blood on my phone. I don’t use the bags. I would recommend this style for anyone who is adept with today’s technology.

Control Got Easier. Love the Dario smart meter. I was never very good at checking my readings. First, I’d have to find the meter, then the lancets and finally the strips. I hate mess, so they were all stashed away - usually in 3 different places. With the Dario, everything is neatly contained in one small container. Plug it into your phone and you can check in seconds. I’m using it more often which gives me greater control. I’m ready to order another one to carry with me in my purse and keep the other one at home. I will not go back

Amazingly good and very portable.. bei The convenience of this compact unit makes measuring and monitoring so easy ng consistent with measuring my glucose because of the portability of my “other machine.” Now that I have Dario I can easily carry the unit with me and it makes taking my glucose measurement fun and easy! I just love pulling out that little attachment and plugging it into my iPhone! So technically saavy for a 62+ yr old woman!!! I am working with my insurance company to get the strips and lancets covered. Lots of work through the medical insurance maze to get it done but this is the only machine that has ever inspired me to be diligent about measuring so its worth it!

Update not performing well. For the last two days after each test on my Dario the results or not working properly. when it’s on timeline it shows the results perfectly well but when I go to logbook my records go all the way back to August 2018, it just jumps there and it will not let me see the logbook as soon as I try to do it manually to get it to show today’s testing it jumps all the way back Please tell me what to do, although I will try to download the Dario app again. That might correct it.

Loving this machine. I’ve had this about 2yrs ago and I later bought a spare. The 1st one I use about 3x/wk. I don’t chk daily. I also use another popular brand that. I got free to compare the 2. The readings are always within 5-10 points difference. THATS NORMAL. This is convenient, compact and easy. I had to use it in an emergency situation one and let me tell you that’s when you really get to know the importance of having this simple TOOL handy. The 2nd one is still resting in my storage kit. I don’t know when I will need to pull it out. Very happy

Suki. I have been a Type 1 diabetic since 1986. Glucose monitoring has changed tremendously and often since that time. Seeing the Dario advertisement, my husband and I thought that it would help me. It has done even more. I don’t have to carry a big glucometer in my purse or on my person. Just having an iPhone, which everyone has, is all I need. All the information that is needed to help me monitor my glucose and A1c readings. This app also notifies my husband when my blood sugar drops and where I am. Like the previous review my doctor also was impressed with it. Thanks, Dario!

Wish I could add notes. The Dario glucometer is easy to use and carry around. I particularly like the versatility of the app. But the one feature the app does not have, or I cannot find, is the ability to add a note when testing my blood. The app allows me to easily share data with the doctor but there are situations I also want the doctor to be aware of unique circumstances. Currently I must record those in a separate electronic app. Why can Dario include a 256 character log field at each test?

Works for me. Last year I was told I was diabetic and my Dr put me on medication. I'll back up some, had an issue with seeing flashes one night, saw my eye Dr next morning. He suggested I see primary Dr and set up an appointment with eye specialist.... he asked about history, told him the Dr just said I'm diabetic. He said I'd like to see a history of your blood work. Told him my Dr didn't think I needed to do blood work at this point. So, I took it upon myself to get a monitor tester. My research led me to Dario 4-5 times. I ordered and started monitoring my blood sugars. I also put myself on a very low carb diet, increase excise and monitoring my sugar.... my eye Dr was impressed with my logs and my primary Dr was impressed with my numbers.... I'm no longer on medication..... numbers are very good. In part, want to thank Dario.... but sure would be good if I didn't have to use my adapter on my iPhone 7+.... yes, the Dario works both on my iPhone 7+ and my iPad Pro.....

Loving the Dario way of checking BG!!. I’ve was diagnosed as diabetic 10 yrs ago this month....UGH! I have struggled since that time to check my BG regularly! Tried just about every new meter out there and hated them because I was either constantly having to re-charge or change the batteries!!! Seemed like every time I went to check it the meter was dead!! Not to mention the SIZE of it and the hassle of carrying everything you need!! Can I get a witness?? LOL! I had basically given up and was relying on my A1C test at the Dr’s office every 3-6 mos. I had seen my dad using a Dario device but didn’t realize exactly what it included or that it used my PHONE as the meter!!!!!! My phone is ALWAYS charged!!! ROFLOL!!!! I am checking at least in 2 or 3 times a day, sometimes 4 depending on the situation. OH YEAH......I OOVE the fact you don’t have to have a freakin’ Rx for it either!!! And then there’s the fact that they will accept my HSA debit card!!! WHAT is NOT to love about this????

THE EASIEST EVER. This app, even if one uses it only for blood sugar and nothing else, yields a big plethora of information for one’s doctor. Yesterday, My doctor started asking questions I didn’t expect. I told him give me a minute and I pulled out my IPhone 7 which retrieves information from my husband’s IPhone 6 to be able to tell him my average blood sugar. Not only that it would show my Highest and lowest blood sugars over a span of time. He had never seen anyone use Dario. The next time I go, I plan to print out the information. He thought it was very easy to get the information he needed without having to calculate it himself. So I’m hooked. I can wait for the approval of the IPhone 7 adapter. What’s really nice is that I can have my account on two phones and that they’ll sync the information.

Simple & compact. I love love love my Dario BG monitor. It’s so easy to use. It’s so simple and Compact. One unit approximately 1” wide and 3” long that house the testing strips lancet and a miniature glucose monitor. My iPhone can be asleep and when I place the monitor into the charge area of my iPhone it will wake up with Dario asking me to allow it to use my iPhone to which I click ok and then it asks for a testing strip to which I insert and the lancet end you can adjust the depth of the stick. The amount of blood it takes is a tiny and I do mean tiny amount which is awesome.

An exceptional product!. When I was first diagnosed with diabetes, I was angry! I resented the diet changes and necessary daily testing. I even resented Dario, just because I was upset with anything pertaining to this condition. But once I started to adjust my thinking, I realized the Dario System has so much to offer at an affordable price. I’ve taken advantage of most of what they offer. It is easy to understand their suggestions and the system. I still wish this was not a part of my life, but it is. And Dario helps me cope to minimize the potential pitfalls I could easily make. I’m grateful to have this product.🍀

Buggy-crashes frequently. Upgraded to 5.0. Can’t enter much before it crashes. I then need to dump the app and try the same thing over and over. While a great product, the software has been getting worse and worse. The last app generation wasn’t much better. Hopefully they will fix this soon. 5.2.0. App is just getting worse. I have had several tickets in and support is useless. I can’t even enter a meal this morning and it fails/crashes every day, multiple times. I will probably be looking elsewhere as I can’t even use this app anymore. I have a new phone and have done everything I can but nothing works.

Awesome!!. I’ve been using Dario for about a month now and I love it. It’s easy to use and perfect for on the go!! I’m borderline diabetic and they recommended that I check my blood twice a day so I ordered this and I fell in love. The best part is I don’t have to have my insurance pulled up to see if it’s covered because I can order right from the app!! The whole system gets 10 stars from me as this is the first system I’ve tried and actually love to use. I definitely recommend this meter.

Completely unacceptable!. First of all I haven’t used the app for about a year and back then it wasn’t like that. This app forces you to share all your medical information whether you like it or not! You also have to select that you either have diabetes or hypertension or both! So I guess healthy people can’t use it. It forces you to enter all kinds of medical conditions you may have and there is no skip! Basically there is a skip button but it doesn’t work! If you need and app you could use in order to take casual readings for your family, avoid this one! To make things worse, there is no way to remove this info! I was trying to get a measurement of my wife’s blood sugar and it was asking me a million questions! No skip now to get an urgent measurement! So I entered anything to go though and now I can’t remove it! I have changed to not diagnosed, however the date of diagnosis has to be something. Again, you have to have diabetes to use this app!!!??? That’s insane! I wish I could have my money back!

So small, so complete. I’m Type2 and on an insulin pump. I also have a history of back problems and can only carry a small, lightweight bag. I love that I can get my test strips and test device into that bag - something I could not do with my previous One Touch. I can always have my meter with me! I’m also thrilled with the logging and reporting capabilities of my Dario. Now when my doc asks how high or low have I tested, I can show him my results on my phone (iPhone 8). I do wish Medicare covered my test strips, but since they don’t, and as long as I am able, I’ll pay the extra for the test strips.

Doesn’t Do Anything!. I just downloaded the app and it doesn’t do anything. Just shows the “promotional” images carousel. I tried closing and restarting the app a couple different times and once it told me to install the latest version. What? I just downloaded and installed it. Tapped the button to get the latest version which did nothing but go to the store. I guess I already have the most current version. The “Get Started” button does nothing but move to next image. This is a totally useless app. I would have given it zero stars but that’s not an option. Maybe test your app before you upload it to the store?

The system itself is wonderful. I love using the Dario. I don’t accidentally stab my fingers anymore. I love that I don’t have to write down all my numbers anymore. I especially love that I’m not stabbing my fingers. (Had to say that again 😊) The lancet doesn’t hurt anymore. Customer service is amazing too. I’m glad they even have a number to call!! The rep was fantastic, extremely helpful, and patient. Now for the cons... I almost gave this 4 stars because of the cost of the strips. They are almost twice as much as I was paying for with my other meter. Then I tried a non-Dario strip AND IT WORKED!! That made me happy and angry at the same time. Happy that I can still benefit from Dario and use cheaper strips but angry because all meter makers claim you can only use THEIR strips.

Amazing product. Disgusting in app ads and pop-ups. First off, a type 1 diabetic reviewing this app. I love this app. I love this product. Literally holds me back from upgrading to a CGM or something else, this app is easy to use and perfect for an active lifestyle without carrying the bulk of a traditional glucose meter kit. I felt embarrassed bringing my old meters around that beeped and the obnoxiously large Fanny pack pouch. This product was a godsend since it uses my number one carry on: my iPhone. Now, the app. First, it’s useful and user friendly. Simply plug your Dario into the lightning port and even the app will pull itself up to get a glucose reading. Super simple. Where this company goes wrong is the HORRIBLE and RIDICULOUS advertisements they push off almost every time I launch the app. I’m used to a quick test method and before I can measure my blood sugar, the company shoves a full screen advertisement for their test strips, plans, and offers. No thanks Dario, I’m good. This is repulsive. I’m only using the app to test my blood sugar, not spend even more time wasting my time and money on plans. The app used to not have these pop ups, but there’s no other way to turn these off. Ridiculous. Shame on you Dario.

Nice almost all-in-one device and useful app. I used to use the meter with the testing strip cartridge, but it was discontinued, so I looked around for a device with other features, and I like the app on phone idea. Of course I need to remember to have an alcohol wipe with me and to carry a few lancets. So far, so good, but I have a hard time getting the used lancet out without a few extra jabs, so I’m wondering if I need to carry pliers also 🤔 I like the app, but it simply will not record my daily steps accurately. I have it synced with the Apple Health app and with Runkeeper, but my steps just don’t come over. Yesterday, my health app recorded over 2500 steps, but the Dario app only recorded 874. Not sure where the disconnect is yet, but I’m going to watch more of your videos. Update: finally my steps synced today. Not sure why, but glad.

Great System- Type 1 Diabetic (16 years). Dario has been an amazing app for me to use. Being a pregnant diabetic, I have to keep a log of my blood sugars along with my food intake. This system allows me to do everything at one time! I can check my sugar, enter my carbs or take a picture of my food, enter how I’m feeling as well as add notes. I can share the information with my doctors office. Its small enough to fit in my pocket and the fact that it eliminates some of my diabetes supplies amazes me. Dario is a great system.

Great unit. It’s compact and self contained. Just pop open the cover, start the program, insert the reader and use like any other. When it gives a result it asks for notes such as pre meal, fasting or whatever you want to say. It uses very little blood, less than my accucheck. When I got it, I ran a few tests to check for precision and they were all within a couple of points. It reads lower than my accucheck but I always thought that ran high. I’ll compare it to lab results next time I go. All in all, it’s an awesome little meter!

Good So Far, just wish they had an option for you to enter in pregnancy. I got the Dario monitor and app with the purpose of monitoring my blood sugar during pregnancy. The app is great for tracking and pretty easy to use (though finding my purchase history was a little confusing). However, there’s no way to tell it that I’m pregnant and therefore want to be gaining weight. I might not be their usual customer so I guess that’s fine, I can still use the blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring just fine, but it would be nice if there was that option.

Makes it easier. Let’s face it being a diabetic is not the greatest thing in the world. Dario does help it’s easier to carry around comes with multiple capsules that you can use and take with you if you can travel, it does what it says is going to do in the program app and does keep track of everything for you in addition it does sync well with my other health apps so I can keep track of my blood sugar and give that to my doctor. So if you’re going to get some thing Dario is one of the best and I’ve tried a number of them give it a try it’s well worth it.

Almost perfect. This is so compact and easy! My husband almost wishes he needed to check his BS so he could have this cool device, too! I say “almost perfect” because of the blasted lancets. If there was just a way to store them in the Dario, this would be perfect. But having said that, I bought Optima staples at an office supply store. They came in a small rectangular metal tin that is the PERFECT size for a layer of lancets with the Dario on top. That set up solves the lancet issue for now. I can line up 19 lancets and put 3 more perpendicular to those. Hope this helps someone else.

Excellent app to go with great glucometer. The device and app pair exceptionally well together to give very accurate results quickly and with very little blood. It also connects with Apple health app so results can be passed through to that app. My only frustrations with the app are that it forces the user to swipe through about 5 pages before getting to the login page. That’s fine for the first login, after that I don’t need the tutorials and having to swipe through so many screens is just annoying. The second is the login with Apple option doesn’t allow Face ID so the password must be typed. Overall it’s an excellent app that does what it advertises and does it well.

Device is terrible!. The strips work fine, but then so do the strips from other companies. No big deal here. That’s the bare minimum. Where the whole system fails is that it tries to do way, way, way too much. Updates have ruined my experience every time because they take away an important feature so they may add yet another premium feature (for the low, low price of $240 a year “discounted” from $360, hahahah!) that I will never, ever need or use. 95% of the app reminds me of buying a new computer and finding it stuffed with bloatware. Suggestion: make all these unnecessary complicated doodads an option to be added, and offer a clean, simple app that just keeps track of the data. That’s all anyone needs.

New Dario Glucose tester kit!. My daughter and I love our new Dario Blood glucose tester kit that we share using our IPhones with the adapter to test our glucose in am since Diabetes runs in our family and we’ve both been diagnosed with Pre-diabetes in the blood draws from labs so we’re being cautious now and monitoring our levels in the am before meals! I highly recommend this testing kit to anyone with a history of diabetes in their family, or if you’re diabetic, or Pre-diabetic! Thank you DARIO! 🙏♥️☺️

Latest update. Since the latest update the app is harder to work with. When I open it to get a glucose measurement I have to go in and out several times before it will take me to the screen where it ask for a test strip. The app doesn’t work if the phone rings during a measurement the B/P function doesn’t register even though it looks like it is connecting I still have to input it manually. The look of the app Is childish also. I hate this latest update and I am considering looking for another program that is more reliable. The A1C readings are off by a lot. You should be able to put the A1C reading you receive from your lab work so that you are starting at the same place. The app said my A1C was 5.2 but my lab results were 6.4!

Fix a few items. Dario test device needs a stronger spring. I set it at 4 (the strongest setting) and it still won’t pierce my finger. I am using a standard blood glucose piercing device which works fine as an alternative. Dario app needs a couple of fixes. One is the meals in history doesn’t hold previous meals beyond a day or two. The app also needs more regional products in is barcode database. Finally, the app needs an auto rotate function so that users can see the full description of foods when you rotate phone from portrait to landscape view. Overall, I like the idea of the self contained test unit and the app. Just a bit more intuitive on the app side. Maybe Dario can use users food entries to creat a larger database. Thanks

I have been using my Dario about a week now. I love it.. More explicit directions on opening the lancet holder and strip case would be helpful to a new user . The diagram is helpful in that it labels everything. This would be a great place to add instructions. “To open, press firmly against flat edge of of lancet holder”. “...strip holder” Using the button to release the strip device was more intuitive. I ran dual tests with my Dario, CVS Monitor and OneTouch Ultra2. Dario consistently ran 5 points higher than OneTouch and 4 points higher than CVS Monitor. I am usually in the normal range and most of my life have been a Hypoglycemic (under90). I read about other monitors not being accurate in this range. That might be why my Dario reads higher. However since I am diet controlled and take no medication it is not an issue. I just need to monitor the level.

Would be better if weight synced with Apple Health. I like that the glucose meter is compact and easy to slip into your pocket. The app is okay, but I don’t really use most of the features. I’m only interested in my blood sugar and weight readings. It would be a 5-star rating if weight also synced with Apple Health. I have another scale which does sync, but it requires you to open an app while weighing yourself, whereas the Dario scale is Wi-Fi as syncs automatically with the Dario app. I don’t understand why they have glucose and blood pressure syncing but not weight. It’s definitely an option in Apple Health.

Decent app. This is a decent app and the service is great. Cost of test strips is low as well (huge benefit for me) but a few improvements to the app would be useful: Firstly, displaying a count of test strips the app has recorded me using so I know if I am near the threshold for the automatic reordering. A general progress bar for this would be awesome. E.g x number of days predicted before order is automatically placed. Second, remove the upgrade button in the app if I am already on a membership plan. Makes me think I am not on one which is disconcerting. Third, perhaps some menu option to track deliveries?

100% honest review. I love the convenience of having the Dario glucose tester for many reasons. One, it is very light weight and small so I can easily carry it with me in my purse, backpack or pocket. Making it very easy to test myself because, I always have on me. Two, Dario actually reminds me when it is time to test myself and that in itself is very nice feature to have because life can get so busy. Three, the Dario meter also keeps a log of a lot more than just my glucose readings. It also keeps a log of the food i eat plus my carbs intake, along with my daily exercise and goals that I want to reach. Four, Dario company actually gave me my very own counsellor who calls and check on me plus I too can call him anytime with any questions I may have. Five, there is a feature on the meter where you can list up to four different people phone numbers for them to call if your glucose were to drop to low or, get to high. I only have one complaint and that is it takes a little while to figure out on how to use all the features. I only wish that they had a more clear video on how to use them all but, with lots of practice you’ll get the hang of it. P.S. I am on the program with the unlimited lancers and test strips and it is completely true. When I ordered more there was absolutely No Charge to me at all.

Great device. Easy tests.. Device took about one week to be delivered. Device is relatively easy to use. Best thing about it is that the lancing can hardly be felt. Just try to make it the lowest penetration possible, and it hardly feels like a pinch. You can get enough blood out to work with the device, which isn’t that much and it stop bleeding immediately. Most times I have to pitch to get some blood out but the very limited amount is fine. Getting the test strip cartridges out is easy but a little cumbersome because they’re so super thin. When you have to replace the full cartridge, it can get stuck because it’s really tight, so you possibly need a plier. Otherwise, device is really good, the recording of the measurement is really good too. Not as clear about recording your food and making them combos, and/or changing the address of where the test is at on measurement screen which seems to be fixed to the wrong address, but it is good. Counselor calls you when you sign up, and as you start using it to discuss your situation if you go on the professional plan. My lowering of blood glucose levels given a change in diet, exercise, and use of another app to help with food GL loads has been substantial in just a week.

Is not compatible with iPhone 7. My readings were way off. I updated to an iPhone 7 which uses the adapter for the earphones. This made my readings more than double. Talk about stress. I love the system being all in one but just beware that the current model Dario is not compatible with iPhone 7. There is a new model being developed, and I wait with anticipation. Great customer service too.

Why sometimes Dario asks to sign in?. I love using Dario as my logbook and also to test my sugar levels but I had a bit trouble when I’m out of the internet coverage area and I need to test my BG, why sometimes(randomly) the app asks to log in?

Very Good App. I don’t use Dario meter but use the app as a logbook and I must say the app is pretty good and simple to use. The only few things I would love to have in the app are the options to enter time manually because sometimes I check my blood glucose and forget to add the result in the app. Also if we could have more options such as pre workout and post workout options or ability to add text to name the activity would definitely add more value and usability of the app.

Love it. I have been using my Dario blood glucose monitor for over 12 months now and I have not had any issues, both the meter and app work perfectly for me and are very easy to use! I wasn't sure if it would work after I upgraded to an iPhone 7 but I have continued to have no issues!

Freedom. I love this monitor because of its compact, all-in-one design, and great companion app. It's the first monitor that made me feel free of the bulk normally associated with Type 1 Diabetes. I find it super intuitive to use, even in low light, because everything is within the device. No more separate bulky blood strip containers. The app does everything I want, and the averages keep me striving to improve my blood sugars. You can capture fairly much all the data you need, with various data displays and outputs. Dario has definitely improved my day to day!

Great meter!. I have been using this meter for two or three years, it's brilliant! It's easy and super convenient. I keep it in my phone case so it's always with me. I love the reminder and I have been able to lower my BGLs and keep them in a good range. It's super handy as it's all self contained! Fabulous meter!

Portable and Convenient. I switched to the Dario meter a little while ago now. Since they brought out the lightning fitting I never have to be restricted test my BSL ever again. I take it everywhere. My readings are more accurate than my old machine and I just love everything about the Dario app and device. Do yourself a favour and purchase this handy, compact unit. Looking after your diabetes health has never been easier. Thank you Dario for freeing up my maintenance to my own health. 5 Star Rating.

Best tester I've had. Compact. Smart. Fast. And hasn't stuffed up once.

Adele. I love using Dario after learning how to use it very convenient then it changed and l was devastated now l am unable to buy the taps for the Dario and was given another blood glucose machine to use that l am not as happy with why did it change ??

Great app. DarioHealth has change my life, it is so easy to use convenience and and learnt so much from the application about my health, it has empowered me to exercise more and eat healthier.

What an Amazing App. I recently bought a Dario and installed the app. I have found both extremely simple to use and have had no issues with the testing strips or the app. The device is so small and compact. It's easy to put in my pocket and take anywhere. I love it. Thanks Dario!

Great device. The Dario monitor and app are the perfect pair to monitor my sugar levels. The small pack kit travels easily and the simplicity is awesome. I especially like the easel reporting to my Dr. That helps my overall management plan. I’m getting off meds because I have been able to keep control!!

So compact. Dario meter is genuinely nothing more than the length of 2 Tic Tac boxes. I’m so fed up with all that paraphernalia that goes into yet another pouch... Dario fits into my spare little Frio outer bag along with 2 syringes and needles- total diabetics kit is 10x20x5cm. Love it! Customer services service is excellent too

Joseph borg. I’m quite happy with the Dario glucose meter I’ve had a couple of small problems with it and I have rang and spoken to Andy who has been very very helpful I find it extremely quite a good unit easier to carry around and use it on my iPhone which gives me a history of all my measurements and it’s just so easy to operate I’m glad that this product is out in the market place I really don’t know how much more you can improve the product thank you regards Joseph Borg

Chemist in your pocket as easy as 1 2 3. An amazing App. I have been using it for several months now. It's so useful , easy to use a time saver and a reminder for medication status. All I do is press a couple of buttons , my order is sent . A short time later an email and reminder is forwarded from my chemist of choice that meds are ready for pick up. How easy.

Great app. Very comprehensive app that interfaces to the Dario blood glucose meter. You can use it without but I find it easier to just plug in the reader and let it upload and display your results. It gives you an estimated HbA1c, all kind of reports and stats, and syncs across devices. Would like it to talk to the Health app but this is a minor point. Also would love it to be a universal app that took advantage of the iPad and iPhone 6/6 plus resolutions. Meter is about $69 in Australia but I claimed the full cost back on private health.

Dario. This is the best, so simple to use and small to carry in your pocket. I’d recommend it for anyone to use!

Work right. It’s great when it works. But I get annoyed when it won’t connect. Then I have to go to settings, general, the accessibility. Go back to Dario

Great. The Dario is great everything compact in the one unit makes it easier to to out and about as it all fits in my pocket and for the most part I have no issues with it with the exception that it would be handy to a lancet ajustment for those of us that have thick skin on our fingers

Great Technology but Not Tested. I love both the simplicity and innovative aspects of the device but the strip errors are costly and painful. 1 in 2 strips doesn't recognize the blood drop, and when removed and put back in, the app says it is used. I tested 3 tests in a space of 2 minutes (using 7 strips total due to strip errors). The first 2 reported blood glucose levels of 2.7/2.8 and the third came up as 11.7. Clearly more testing and development needs to be done before people use this device definitively as a source of support for their health plan.

You have to get one!. As a female I carry around enough stuff in my handbag everyday! Being diabetic just adds to the clutter of things in my bag. But now with my Dario, I can fit all my diabetic needs in one simple needle pouch. The Dario is streamlined and multifunctional and eliminates the need for a large testing pouch, plus your needle case. The lancet is awesome- you need half as much blood for your sample compared to other machines. And having the test strips incorporated into the sane design is brilliant. I can see this would be invaluable for guys - you can keep it all in your pocket. Everyone has a smartphone these days and it's awesome to be able to look back at your results... I even email my log to my Dr. It cuts down on my appointments as he can just keep an eye on my levels and lets me know when to come in to see him. This little machine and its app have changed the way I manage my diabetes and I just love it!!!

Amazing for teenagers/young adults ♡. I’ve had my Dario for about a year or so now and it has helped me manage my Type 1 Diabetes so much better. When I was 16, my Diabetes was out of control and I didn’t care about it at all. Since getting my Dario, it really helps maintain my levels and makes testing/logging a much easier task. Thank you for creating such a beautiful little device!

So compact. I love Dario!! It is so compact and easy to use, everything in one place. Just put it in my pocket or bag and ready to go!!!

Modern solution to blood sugar management. Small and discreet with a truly integrated mobile application make this one of the best and most modern blood sugar management systems around. Have reviewed many but Dario really stands up as a clear leader in the field. Most competitors use legacy devices with blue tooth which make them bulky and cumbersome, this has been designed from the ground up with the mobile being the focus with portability being the key factor.

Can’t edit readings now… again. Update Dec 2021 - Unfortunately in the In the latest Nov update they have gone back to the stupid decision to make readings not editable again if you make a genuine mistake……. Very disappointing Update Sep 2021 - They did change it back so that readings were editable again. you can no longer edit readings. If I make a genuine mistake like tap before meal rather than after meal or don’t round off insulin to a whole unit then I can’t go back and edit the reading. Why Dario Why???

So compact. This is so easy to use and I love the ability to share record foods

Life made easy. Dario is discreet, compact and easy to use. The app holds great information that can be sent direct to your doctor. It's great!!

Best monitor there is. Diabetic for over 20 years now, I've had several monitors from different brands over the years, Dario is by far the best. The apps has been attentively designed to keep track of my BGL's. I can get to send my GP and Specialist my weekly graph results via email. And love the convenient compact design of the monitor itself, it houses the lancet, the strips and phone adapter. The monitor and the apps are both very user friendly. Try it, it will not disappoint you.

Support non existent. It has now been over a week of contacting support to no avail. My app is stuck on Region USA, even though I live in Australia, and each time, my support queries are answered by an automated reply that my feedback has been forwarded. No mention of resolution for a seemingly simple problem. Unless you live in the USA, this app is quite useless

Great device. I love my Dario ... it is so compact .. very easy to use with my IPhone ... keeps my readings so my GP can check my progress ... .. fits easily in pocket or handbag 👍

Not happy..... Used this app for some time, and was happy, the strips at $0.60c each was expensive, but, they had them on special, I bought a couple of hundred dollars worth to save money, unfortunately I did not realise they had a use by date, and I wasted my money, a reputable company would not put them on special with a low use by date. If they are out of date, readings can be way out.....I have changed to a far cheaper alternative, The app is designed to bleed your pocket, if you don’t keep using the strips regularly, your final readings will take longer to get. WOULD NOT WASTE MY MONEY AGAIN...... App designed in Israel, made in China, that was disappointing as well......

My Dario. Extremely easy to use. Guides you through taking a measurement. Shows all readings in a timeline or graph allowing you to keep track of your results. Can be shared with family and GP. Thanks for a great app.

Great meter, terrible app. I love the design and function of this meter. However for me the app barely functions. I take a reading which it records and averages but I can't access the other features of the app such as Charts and Timeline. The app just freezes and shuts down. It does this every time I take a reading too, not sure if this is a 'feature'. Loading is sometimes hit and miss and it's slow to load. Maybe I should blame it all on my iPhone 4 being too old but it runs plenty of other apps without any drama. If you're reading this Dario, GREAT meter, TERRIBLE app.

Ask your users!. I LOVE the Dario. However I do NOT love that you have removed the function of being able to delete individual readings from the app. Since the update that removed this function I have had quite a few readings that were wrong! Many high readings that after I retested they were normal. I understand your (flawed) reasoning for removing this function: accuracy of results. However as an ADULT who is responsible for my own health I need the function available. As readings that are errors ALSO skew the data. Have a parental function that allows parents (who are responsible for their child’s health) of a diabetic child who use this app, to switch off the delete function or to approve the delete function. Your app developers are very clever and talented, I’m 100% sure they can figure it out.

Completely stabilised how I manage my diabetes. Absolutely the best and most portable system available. Sorted out my approach to testing and management. Would much rather you reinstated the delete option for measurements. I occasionally measure others or double check and no longer having that function ruins the calculations. If you removed it for people who don’t like high results then they are just kidding themselves anyway.

Anna. Tried the device and with the blood sugar monitor from pharmacy the reading was a minimum 2 mml of the r adding. Not too sure if is a reliable reading if you are looking at treating your diabetes

Do NOT update app if you measure in mmol/l. I updated the app to the latest version 5.0.0 and unfortunately the new Home Screen is not displaying the last measurement in mmol/l, although the units are displayed as mmol/l the number doesn’t match e.g. my lady measurement was 4.7 mmol/l on the Home Screen it displayed as 84 mmol/l. This is potentially life threatening if someone glanced quickly at the measurement and made an ill-advised decision based on it. I have contacted Dario support but their response was not at all helpful.

Awesome monitor. I've had several blood glucose monitors over the past 15yrs. I have to say that Dario is by far the best I've ever had. It's so small & convenient to carry in my bag, I can take a reading anywhere I am on my phone. The lancets & strips are easy to get too. Do yourself a favour, if you have a diabetes problem, get one of these, you won't regret it.

New phone. I have just brought a new phone and guess what no ear socket to plug into so now what. I love the machine very convenient and easy to use but Dario will have to come up with another way to connect to the new phones please. My reader is one off the first ones out so have they changed then to a newer version. Thanks

Great App. The Dario product/app is absolutely fantastic. I had the BG Star product until they stopped supporting it. This product is perfect and well supported.

Couldnt be easier. Have had the dario for 3 months and find it very convenient. Everything you need in in the one pack and all your records are kept on your phone which is convenient when reviewing with your doctor. Accuracy is good and ordering replacement strips is quick and easy.

Dario doesn't read test strip. Have had the Dario for a while now, using on a Samsung Note 4. Changed over to iPhone 6 plus, but lately when you put the strip in, it asks for a drop of blood, then doesn't read it. I feel like a pin cushion lancing several times for a test, also wasting several test strips to get one reading. I have reset the iPhone & program several times. Very disappointing.

Facebook error. I have just installed this app after buying the device but it won’t allow you to log in to get started? it says you have to log in with Facebook but I do not understand why unless you want everyone to know your business? this app should have and interface that allows you to use and set up without having to rely on apps like FB? in this day and age not everyone wants the whole world to see everything about them……...

Dario. Compact easy to use best thing I can take it everywhere gym motor bike beach iPhone and away we go Totally Stoked John

Health integration missing. Still doesn’t exist. When is it coming?

A GREAT AID FOR DIABETICS!!!. The best BG Meter I have used and I have tried most of them. It is small and convenient with everything needed in one compact unit..... no fiddling with unzippering cases and then trying to extract all that is needed to test. The way results are shown is also the best of any meter I have used.... it is so easy to open the app and let my doc see all my results from whenever to the present moment. It is with regret that I now have to change to another meter for which the test strips are still subsidised. I feel that with better marketing this should not have happened. Whenever people saw me using my meter they were always very impressed particularly when I pointed out all its benefits and explained how well it documented results. However, since I have retired, money is not so easy to come by and disappears so quickly with medical expenses. I hope that you are able to bring this wonderful machine to the notice of those who count, particularly diabetics and their medical teams. Most of my doctors had never even seen the DARIO which is a real shame. I will watch and hope that you are able to once again get the subsidy for this great piece of gear and will be happy to return to using it again.

Recent app changes are poor. App changes are still poor. The original graph of highs and lows worked far better than now. Please change back.

Mary Hand. I have been using Dario for about 6 months now I find it not only convenient . Also easy to use , carry on my hand bag, the fact that it stores all my measurements neat and easy to see. No more having to look for the blood measure diary. So So précis to me now .

Very good app. I found Dario very good and easy to carry with you Never failed

Fantastic meter for people on the go. I love my Dario meter. As a person always travelling around for work it is convenient to carry with me on the run. If this product didn't exist I wouldn't have any control of my blood sugar levels

For Adults Only. The Dario System is awesome however the app is less than perfect. I had a convo with the distributor and this is why its titled for adults only. The original versions of this app allow you to do more with the readings such as delete. now due to children tampering with readings and measurements that feature is not availible. My suggestion would be passcode the app or readings so when one needs to be deleted than you can enter the passcode.

Does it's job well. It has lots of features but the best thing is handing my phone to my doctor for the log book.

Best size of meter with best results. I love the size and no batteries!

Works like a charm. ordered this and am satisfied with this tiny portable piece

iPod touch not supported. I received this from their support team. The iPod touch is not supported for use with Dario. For a list of our supported devices, please visit our website at www.mydario.ca/getting-started

Retiredinbrooklin. Recent upgrade has left me unable to connect. I have tried exiting the app, turning my phone off and on, changing the cord all to no avail. Been waiting forever to see what Dario was going to come up with when the iPhone 7 was released. Seems like I have to buy a whole new Dario as opposed to purchasing just the lightning connector. Looks like it is time to buy either the Freestyle Libre or the Dexcom CGM.

So useful and compact. I appreciate being able to use my phone to record ... having everything together makes life so easy. I will be so happy when the Lightning adapter is available in Canada!

All in one is so convenient!. The Dario system works really well. You never have to stop and download your readings as a separate step to see them on your computer--the logs are available every time you test your blood glucose. Convenient, small and easy to use. I found the lancet device went too deeply, even on the lowest setting, but others may not have this issue. Other than that, I have enjoyed using it. Great online community for extra support as well.

Dario Meter. I have been using this little meter for 6 months with my iPhone and believe it is the best meter I have ever used and I have been using all kinds of meters for 10 years, this is the best for me!! I am able to send reports to my doctor and the Healthy Living Centre so they can review wether I'm doing good or bad. I would not be without it EVER!! One thing on the reminders it should remind you whenever you want it to instead of the increments they have now. When you are on insulin you might have to be reminded the best time to eat. This meter and company is definitely a 5 star!!

Dario. This app still doesn’t work even with all the updates Do not buy if you have a iPhone 7 and up and certainly if you’re a canadien

Blood sugar measurements. I purchased the Dario meter and am eagerly waiting for help in changing mg/dl to mmol/L....I have contacted the canadian support phone number twice. Please let me know so I can start using my new meter!!!

Fix profile. I have filled it out complete but still wants me to input oral medication. I don’t take any but still says profile is incomplete.

Excellent Monitor. Have been using for months and been more than satisfied with the results. *****

Toujours en train d ajuster le volume pour active dario. Pourris comme systeme dario Ca pourrais se faire automatique. Au lieu d sller ajuster a chaque fois que l on prends une mesure de glycemie Je pense serieusement a revenir a mon ancien glucometre

Love it. This is amazing to use, and I enjoy not having to carry around a larger meter. I'm a 15 year old, and it honestly makes my life way easier as a teen. I can literally put it in my pocket and go.

Very accurate meter. I've been using my Dario for over a year now and have found this meter to be very accurate when compared to my lab. The A1c estimation is always like labs.

My Dario. I love this device and system it is way more convenient than anything I have used before My pharmacy orders in my supplies and it should be available to everyone can't say enough good things about this device I'm 71 years old and can manage the app easy peasy

Love love love. I have been using a Dario for about a year now. I love how portable it is. Having all the information on my phone is super convenient. The ability to input additional information, such as exercise and carbs makes this a great app.

Simple, easy, flawless. My Dario is indispensable for monitoring and managing all my blood glucose monitoring. It is simple, easy to use, and it flawlessly syncs with the cloud to store all my readings. This save me a lot of time and effort recording in my journal like I used to do. Thank you Dario.

Game changer for me with more frequent testing. The DARIO has been amazing for me, I love it's size and compactness. With work - meetings are easier to go to with to be able to check my sugars if the meeting provides lunch or if I just need to confirm where I'm at post a meal. Going out - as a female my purse is not always large and very often when attending a formal event is small and so bringing along DARIO has been so convenient!! I love it! Sharing results is easy to do as well! My only wish list would be for it to pair with an insulin pump! I'm a pumper and to have the ability to share with pump results would be the icing on the cake!!!

Love it. Just switched over from acu check to the Dario meter. I love how sleek and modern it is , and I also love how I can use it all on my phone! Great safety features for if I go low as well as you can add a contact if your blood glucose level is low it will let your emergency contact know . And send your location. Great app , I recommend for anybody looking for an easy diabetes experience.

Life changing!!. I love my Dario meter! Just being able to grab it on the go has made my life so much easier. Just slip it into your pocket with your phone and away you go. My doctor is also pleased when I go on for checkups to see my statistics in an easily readable array of choices. I recommend this product big time! Love it and would not want to go back to carrying a kit around. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My Dario. This is the best monitor I have ever used! I love having everything I need to test my blood in one little compact. The monitor is easy to plug in because it is stored right in the monitor, you will never forget or hunt for your strips because they are stored right in the monitor. Plug it in take your blood and in seconds you have your reading. It's so very easy and compact to use. I absolutely love it and won't use anything else now.

Dario. This is probably one of the best meters for monitoring blood sugar. Small accurate well interfaced with my iPhone. Great product.

Integrates seamlessly. Love this app and Dario meter combination. Super convenient; great stats that mesh well with bloodwork.

Best Glucose Meter and App in The World!. Dario is the Best app I've ever seen! Extremely convenient extremely compact and extremely easy to use. Access your records from anywhere right on your phone! Who doesn't have a smartphone! Don't have a phone? Use an iPod touch! It's too easy and too important not to have if you have diabetes. The meter itself is also cheaper then most other meters that aren't even close as convenient! If you have diabetes get this meter and get this app!!!!

Awesome. Great meter so convenient all in 1 !

Love my Dario. I'm not a diabetic, I'm following a nutritional ketogenic diet .... my Dario is wonderful, compact & super easy to use .. I can put it in my pocket & have it available anytime & anywhere I'm at! Thanks Dario! 👍

Dario meter. The Dario meter is easy to use, nice and small and easily carried around

Perfect for Parents. My daughter uses the meter and loves how compact it is. I love the app because I can connect to her and see her readings without her remembering to send me a text. One less step for a teen!

This little device and the app works great. The simpleist device yet can carry all your supplies and stick it in your pocked no baggy case to carry and everything just clips together I was asked by my pharmacy to test it against my other meter for accuracy and after a week of testing with both the Dario was spot on. when I used it with an iPhone SE Can't go wrong with this device and so convienient to slip in your pocket when you go out Addition to review July 10 2017 Have been using it for a while now and still is the best meter I have used and the app has some features you don't find on other meters like projected A1C which seems to be fairly accurate there looks to be some more features going to be added to the app so waiting to see what that has

Bandelette. La ramq refuse de payer les bandelettes ce n’est plus couvert , d’ici quelques jours je devrai opté pour un autre glucomètre !

Makes life a lot easier. Im loving this app, after a year of using it, there's not much too be concerned about. I've had tight control of my diabetes for 15 years, but restaurant meals, and holidays always were a pain. The carb to insulin calculator is unmatched in my world. And the compact nature of the test device is very handy.

Love the device, the app needs work. I love the Dario meter, especially the convenient compact size and the the tiny amount blood needed. The app on the other hand is just ok There are a few annoying glitches : - I hate that there is no way to delete a measurement once taken. Let me control my own data at my discretion! -The app is a bit glitchy occasionally freezing totally hanging requiring me to kill it snd restart. -Most annoying of all are the endless “helpful” tips when the app, for some inscrutable reason, thinks I am having trouble connecting the meter. I have never had a problem connecting meter but have spent countless hours seeing and clearing the same notification over and over again. Please fix this and it is 5 stars for me.

Unable to change to mmol/L. Not as user friendly for Canadians who are used to measuring in mmol/L. There should be an option to change this. I am also unable to figure out how to change my region... it says USA even though I’m in Canada despite turning on location services

It’s a lousy meter if you truly care about your disease. Unlike the person above, my meter is out by 30%. I’ve contacted Dario for it and they say that with the tests they have me do and the results that come back it’s excellent. I’m not going to argue with a hospital lab that tells me otherwise. My other issue is, when the meter, strips, or my fingers are cool (not cold) it doesn’t read. In Canada it gets cold, nothing I can do about it. My AccuChek meter works flawless. Unfortunately it’s not as compact as the Dario which was the main reason I got it and dealt with the shortcomings for as long as I did. Now I have an iPhone X and it’s got even more issues with that but to their defence they may not be compatible.

Fantastic product. I am able test and keep an eye on my blood sugar wherever I am - even when traveling overseas.

Nice and compact. Have used it for over a year. Using it with 6s in a charging case so a headphone extension is used. No problems and comparison with lab results have been very close or right on. I’m type 2 doing my best to stay away from needle. Dario is helping me do that.

It's great. I love it!It's small and it has everything I need to test your blood.

Very convenient app. It is so nice to have everything needed to test blood sugar in one tiny package. It's not much bigger than a package of gum in your pocket. Not often I am without my phone so it is just a matter of having the DARIO unit with me and I am all set. The app records info very easily and efficiently. I would recommend it to all. I have used other devices but they are bulky when the test strip container, the lancet, and the device itself is in the package.

Dario glucose system. By far the best glucose meter I have used

Pretty good. I was a bit skeptic about using this. I am not prediabetes but sometimes after eating something I feel sick or will feel symptoms of low blood sugar. I read online that when that happens it is because your blood sugar spiked high and your body over produces insulin which causes it to absorb too much sugar. Forgive me if I am wrong. But I bought this so that I can see what foods are keeping my blood sugars levels good, and which ones are bringing it up too high so that I know for sure to avoid symptoms of low blood sugar. Thank you Dario for helping me out!

Meh. Does not work with voiceover

Compact and convenient. This is a great little device! Easy to use, easy to carry around, reliable. Can’t say enough good about it. The only disappointment I’ve experienced has been with online ordering in Canada?

Convenient. Portable and reliable device and app.

Really fantastic. I love my Dario and the app. One thing to carry, plus the phone. App is easy to use and give us many information if we take time to configure correctly.

Dario super convenient. The easiest way to know my highs and lows . Loved the neat way to record your insulin/food intake / moods/ and exercise it's all in one .all set in your iPhone helps my specialist recommending new things to improve my diabetes

Great App. Great app for recording blood sugar readings

My Dario. I love my Dario for its convenience and compactness.

Love this system. I have been very impressed with the Dario System. I travel frequently and love the small size of the Dario set up as well the in-expense of the test strips. Compared to other blood glucose meters I’ve used I find it to be accurate with my blood sugar readings. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is, not having a solution to iPhone’s with only lightening ports. Since the change to my iPhone I really don’t use this system like I want/ used to.

Love the size, accuracy, and logbook. This is a diabetes management tool that is easy to carry, accurate, and gives me a lot of tracking information. It has so many logbook options and integrated functions. Great tool for kids who hate to carry most glucometers. Self contained and just need your phone. I’m 71 and love mine! Lots of help from counselors too, on managing diabetes better

Why no BP & weight syncing with HealthKit?. Dario is the best BG measuring device ever. The app UI is polished too. However without the ability to sync BP & weight from HealthKit, I’ll be sticking with OneDrop. OneDrop syncs hundreds of data points from HealthKit and thus it has become the most used Diabetes management platform. Dario can overtake them IF they learn to allow users to sync & track BP and other data points from HealthKit.

I give it a 5 EXCEPT. When I ordered my Dario I was told that every 3 months I would receive FREE test strips for life - NO One mentioned a membership fee! Now they will automatically charge your credit card - Nope - I don’t like it With that said I love the product - it’s easy - you have everything you need - it fits in your pocket! I really like the product and have had it for over 3 years! Try it

Convenient but not accurate. I love the all in one convenience and small size of the device, but the accuracy is lacking greatly. The Dario consistently reads at least 20 points high compared to my other testing devices, which could end up being very dangerous. I personally won’t rely on it for accurate readings, but at least it will give me an idea of where I’m at. As they say, buyer beware. Make sure you compare yours to your trusted device before putting your faith in this.

Love the product. HATE their ad tactics.. When you buy a medical device you dont expect to have it constantly shoving ads at you. Not only in the app but also via text message. Its honestly really scummy. Totally unfortunate because I love the Dario meter. It hooks into the lightning port on my iphone, it’s stylish, holds the test strips with the dongle and lancet device so i’ve got everything together, and shares my blood glucose directly with apple health. Even after asking about my medical condition and finding out i’m in the pre-diabetes A1C range and not on medicine, the app sends push notifications reminding me to test every two hours so that they can sell more strips and lancets. If you’re someone who wants their data auto uploaded to apple health, this product is probably still a buy. If you’re not, you may consider buying something that is less annoying.

Great app, update made harder to use. This app has been my go-to and has kept me safe during diabetic episodes. The newest update has made it impossible for me to check my blood sugar unless my phone is at 30% battery. Sometimes a hyper/hypo episode comes on when my phone is low and I can’t reach a charger immediately. I really hope this’ll be fixed soon. 🙏🏻

Dario is a godsend!. I was first diagnosed as a Type 2 diabetic 23 years ago; I have been on insulin now for 8 years. The Dario plan is so amazingly convenient and helpful! No more bulky glucometer or logbook to carry around! My blood sugar readings are easy to access and trends and goal achievements are easier to follow! The end result of this and select dietary changes (in close consultation with my Diabetes Educator and Endrocrinologist) is that my HgA1c, which was 10.9 a few years ago, is now 6.4!! Thank you, Dario!

Regret signing up and getting a monitor. Super spammy company. Push notifications and emails multiple times a day. I don’t want constant offers and pointless insights. Timelines of messaging is pretty bad too, I received a message to take my first measurement after I already had taken it. Think about your users and stop harassing them for your benefit which I fail to see how constantly spamming benefits you. Setup tutorial walks through steps only to find out you weren’t really supposed to be following along....one wasted test strip! Do some user testing (or better testing if you are already).

Cannot Cancel Personalization “Feature”. I have been using the device for over a year along with its app. Everything has been great until the app was updated with a new “Personalization” feature which you cannot disable. It now throws you into a litany of questions you cannot disable. I want the app to record my blood glucose levels and synch with Apple’s Health app AND NOTHING MORE! 1984 was not an instruction manual. Since the app cannot leave me alone any further, I’m leaving it.

Thank you SO VERY MUCH. Thank you making this device. I wish it came out sooner. I have 5 meters at home and they are big and bulky. This one is nice and compact. It nice that the data is saved in your phone. I like to also I hated my finger being picked and now it isn’t so bad. Also, you get the EXTRA SUPPORT. And no more buying batteries for it. Down side you can’t share with your doctor the results.

Issue after last update. Since last update, the logbook takes exactly 20 seconds to open. Prior to update it was instant. I called CS to let them know. The lady had Samsung device which worked fine for her. She said she would report but I haven’t heard back or seen fix. I have iPhone. I have rebooted etc. I am anxious to have this resolved or someone call me.

Dario my new way to get better control.. I got my meter for Christmas, it is reliable and I trust it s results. I take four shots a day, and the reminder is priceless, so I don’t forget. The information that it collects for me encourages me to keep on keeping on. I like it’s compact size, and all in one feature. The only thing I wish were a little different is trying to get a test strip, I have neuropathy in my hands and I can’t feel so it’s difficult to get the strip for testing. Thank you Dario for helping me manage my health.

Great at first but keeps asking for personal info. When I originally got the blood pressure machine that is connected to this app, everything was working fine. My blood pressure was recorded and I was able to have the information forwarded to my Health app.. I don’t know what’s going on, but now when I open the app, it takes me through screens requesting personal information irrelevant for what I need, and when I get to the point where it asks me why I use the app, the app shuts down.

Prediabetes. This device is so easy to use. Compact, take in your pocket or purse. Record blood sugars, weight, food you eat and it sets reminders to check your blood sugars, eat a snack, and exercise activities. I love it! It had a few bugs in the beginning but all worked out. And I have a personal Dario specialist that will set up appointments to help with any needs. Showed it to my doctor and she thought it very cool!

Requires a Cloud Account. I just wanted something that was easy to use and worked with the Apple Health app. The Apple Health app is secure, backs up to Apple’s cloud (which I encrypted with my passcode), and doesn’t require all of my personal data such as height, weight, age, location, and also want to connect with all of my contacts. This app shouldn’t need that information just to gather my blood glucose and store it in Apple’s cloud. Nor does it require a membership (or additional money) for anything. I appreciate this app can do averages and stats and even alert my contacts, but so can Apple’s Health app. Thanks, but no thanks.

Best meter ever. Honestly this is the easiest meter I’ve ever used and only needs a fraction of the blood of other meters! The hypo alerts are one of the best things ever my husband worries a lot less knowing that if I have a hypo problem my exact gps location will be sent to him and he can immediately call and tell me to get some sugar into my system while he’s on his way to me.

My Dario Diary. I love my Dario. It’s like having a Blood Sugar Diary. It’s compact & convenient. I really like the fact that I have my own personal coach. One feature that I really like is the “Notes”. This feature makes it personal. It helps you develop a BS picture of yourself. I’m sure that as I continue to use my Dario, I’ll learn other features that I like.

Convenient. I like Dario. It’s convenient and easy to use. I like having everything in one place. It makes it easy to Cary around. The only issue is sometimes I have to plug the device in and out of my iPhone and it does not always immediately recognize the device. In addition, the strips can be a little tricky to get just one out. Overall, this is good and better than other devices I have had.

After update nothing works, customer service is non-existent.. After performing the last update, the app doesn’t work. App opens then disappears. Emailed support, no answer. Called support, no answer or person to speak to, just voice mail. Dario is junk, don’t bother with them. Terrible service and support all around, and the app itself seems like an after-thought. The meter itself doesn’t work without the app, and the whole device itself is cheap Chinese garbage. Avoid Dario like an STD. Terrible app, vacant support, and cheap garbage.

Diabetic Essential. Without a doubt to me … Dario is the most comprehensive monitoring system for blood glucose available. It’s affordable to. The only thing that might monitor as well would be some expensive implant or continuous uninterrupted reading system. But then determining your fasting point or after point meal reading may be difficult.

Love my meter. I love my meter! There is only one problem and that are the caps that keep breaking and have to be replaced. Can they make them stronger? Other than this it is a grea machine!! it love My this meter it is easy to use works with my Apple phone and i can take it anywhere i go. And they’re customer service is awesome! Great product!

Dario program. The program works very well like the fact that I can take blood sugars as often as a light I still have not been able to really understand how to eat properly and how much foods to stay away from. I have not been able to use all the programs in that are in the system but I’m working on it. Arthur Bretton

Great little meter! Spring needs work.. I love this little meter! It’s so convenient, and I can keep everything I need on my phone and even mail it to the doctor! Feature us especially like is the running total for the A1C. My only complaint, is that the spring that pushes the needle into the fingertip sometimes doesn’t spring hard enough to draw blood. I know it’s a balance between pain and efficacy. But I think it could be better. Thanks for this great meter!

After 1 month... Great Device, Lacking App. Update: Doesn’t consistently write to Apple Health. App still missing key integrations. Starting to regret joining the annual program. Please keep in mind that I am rating the app only. The device is a 4.5 star device that only lacks a small bit at lancing. The app is missing some key items that would elevate it to 5 stars. We are well beyond the years when double entry is okay. I have invested in devices that talk to Apple Health. My scale syncs, my blood pressure syncs. I have a great carb tracking food entry that syncs. Dario doesn’t read it. I have to enter my carbs manually. I have to enter my weight manually. The Dario app request permission to read all of my HealthKit data, and I gave it. Yet, Dario doesn’t read or use it. I use Dario to read, then I switch back to another app that talks to everything. I’d rather not, but I have to until they step it up.

Date wrong. Love the device, but noticed that the date in the log was 24 hours behind the actual time. It is Wednesday, and has been all day. App is logging entries for Tuesday. We users are obsessive compulsive, it’s why we have this device and app, the wrong date just tilts me sideways. Please fix this.

Avoid like the plague. Did you get a promotion? Get ready to have to work to get everything you paid for. One promo I had was a discount on the monthly fee for a few months, every month I had to email them to refund me the difference. Then I signed up for the year membership cause I wanted a new meter, I had to email them to get the new meter. The customer service is abysmal to put it nicely. They take forever, don’t read your message and send you a canned response se that just say try everything and the kitchen Sync because we don’t know how to write an app that works.

Great meter, questionable resources. I love my Dario. It’s compact, it’s user friendly, I can test everywhere, and it automatically records to my phone and syncs to my health apps. That said, I do NOT love that Dario is now pushing advice from a “nutritionist” that follows the ADA party line. That way of eating keeps us sick and keeps the pharmaceutical companies in business. Stick to what you do best: putting out great medical devices. Don’t sully the good you do by pushing old, disproven science on your customers, who are trying to stay alive.

Good concept. Would be convenient, but too many parts are not working. All the settings are set properly on my phone but location does not work, it will not read data from Apple health and bring it in like blood pressure, weight, pulse or activity. Steps do come in though. The app is supposed to give you a reminder to check you blood after meals, documentation says at various times adjustable by the user, but is not in the app. You can configure reminders, but only at specific times. That would be plus on top of post meal reminders. Documentation has been difficult to find. Should be right there on the web dash, hard to read on the phone, maybe I should be using a tablet. I hope I do not regret ordering and signing up for a year plan. I already feel like going back to mysugr and the Bluetooth accucheck I was using. What if I run out of test strips on vacation? Won’t be able to get strips at a store. Oh yea, why not a Bluetooth option?

Love it BUT........ I have been using this for over a year now and I really like the portability and convenience. I can slip it into my pocket when going to the gym or a small purse when going out. The one thing I would love to be able to do is add a note so I don’t have to hand write notes for when I see my doctor and not have to carry and keep track of a notebook, defeats the compact size if I have to carry a notebook and pen along with the unit.

Love this monitor. When first diagnosed the hospital cave me a blood sugar testing kit that I didn’t like. The monitor was cheap and and I hated all the different parts to carry when you go anywhere. The Dario is so much easier I love that all my levels are stored on my phone so if I have to go to my doctors I do not need to bring my monitor. My endocrinologist loves it and said she will recommend it to her other patient and I also sent one to my mom.

Pre-Diabetic. I’ve been pre-Dibetic for a few years while my A1C haze gone up and down a little. Periodically I wold take my Glucose meter out to calculate my blood sugar but forget to record it some where. Dario makes the whole process easier. I do the same process as before but now i can track my numbers and can have them forwarded to my doctors. Great App!

Privacy issues?. This app wants your location and cell number, and health information. It won't even load unless you provide your details. Even if they don't disclose or sell, they do not need this info and health monitoring in their database. Sadly, we have all learned that data storage is really not as safe as implied. At the very least, the company should advise that equipment will not work without app and app will not work without personal details, which cannot be guaranteed secure. I made the mistake of purchasing equipment first and can't help but feel I wasted my time and money. Additionally, the equipment not very sturdy.

All in one system to manually check your blood sugar level.. I like the system because it is small and compact enough to comfortably carry so you can check your blood sugar levels with my iPhone 11. Earlier versions of Dario software were a challenge with earlier iPhones. Much better and always reliable now.

Won’t let you test glucose. Had this app for years. Recently, they added a very long user flow in which they force you to share personal information. It’s not dismissible — it blocks you from actually using the glucose monitor unless you share you’re personal info … even though you’re not a new user. This is incredibly dangerous — forcing people to complete a long form before they can test their glucose. It’s also just a disgusting business decision — holding users hostage and making them share personal data before they can see their blood sugar. Been using as a backup to my cgm for years, but I’ll find a new back up.

Accuracy concerns. I have been comparing my glucose readings with the Dario & my One Touch Ultra 2. The Dario gives me readings about +15mg/dL higher (100 vs 115 on average). This is a huge difference in my a1c outcome. I am almost at the point of coming off of medication. I will continue to use both glucometers until I have lab work done in November. Then I will really know the accuracy of the Dario. More to come.

Love the Dario. I was not checking my blood sugar hardly at all due to the time it took and the hassle of writing down all the results. But since buying the Dario, and since it is hassle free and it logs in all the results I have been checking my blood sugar everyday. For the first time in years my blood sugar is under control. It is so convenient that I have purchased one for my wife.

Tired of no answers. Update: Finally a new meter that works with my phone makes me a happy camper Now if only I could get some test solution that has been out of stock for a long time :) I really loved my Dario but I’m to worried now that my readings will be way off I have iPhone 8+ I’m thinking of heading to another meter sorry to say let me know when you get updated for new phones maybe I will come back

Thanks Dario. I can’t to tell you how much I appreciate this glucose meter. I am on medications that cause huge swings in my blood sugars and this device has helped me keep track. I love it! I also like the customer service and the fact that I don’t have to contact them to get more test strips. They are right on top of it!

Love my Dario blood glucose meter. I can’t say enough good things about this device! I am not at all tech savvy but was still able to complete setup with only one phone call to get a question answered. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful. I love that I can get my strips delivered automatically when I need them — one less thing to worry about. And it’s so small I carry it in my wallet!

Constant Crashes on Latest Update. I’d never had a problem with the Dario app before applying the latest update on iOS— it’s unusable now, and crashes constantly. I tried to fix this by rebooting my phone and delete/reinstalling the app, but I can’t get through the welcome questions without it crashing, leaving me without a glucometer.

Best blood glucose device I have used. As a veteran Type 2 diabetic, I'm always looking for the perfect Glucose measuring device. Going on 9 years now since I was diagnosed, and I don't have to keep searching. My Dario brand new Dario glucometer is AWESOME!!! It's compact, all in one and affordable. Perfect for on the go, and if you like the convience of small and no batteries plus a FREE APP, this product delivers 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s On all fronts. PERFECT PRODUCT. PERFECT HEALTH CARE AID. PERFECT PRICE. GREAT COMPANY. THANK YOU DARIO. YOU JUST MADE MY LIFE SO MUCH EASIER ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Doctor was amazed. I gave my doctor a print out of my measurements from my last appointment. I had it all charted out and everything. She commended me me for all my hard work in keeping track of my numbers and getting averages etc. I showed her my Dario and she looked at me amazed brought in the whole staff and I gave them a quick training on the Dario, APP and how I downloaded all my info. As I left she called me a cheater and smiled.

Love My Dario Test Meter. The Pro’s: I’ve had this meter for almost a year now and I just love it. Never needs batteries and is very accurate. Love the other features too, calorie, carb counting & exercise monitoring makes it easier for me to monitor my everyday food intake, & maintain my glucose levels. THX DARIO!! 😘😍 The Con’s: While the Meter itself is excellent, the strips are pricey and the lancets only come in 1 gauge. I would like to see Dario add a few other choices in gauge thicknesses for people with more sensitive fingers. Thanks 🙏🏾 👍🏾

Works great and very accurate. My Dario makes taking and tracking my blood glucose levels very easy. Setup went relatively smooth. Still trying to finish profile. Accuracy is good. I compared reasons from the Dario and my Freestyle meter, and they were exactly the same. The app makes tracking my glucose levels easy. Highly recommend!

Best, Fastest, Easiest, Most Convenient System Ever!. Who buys a blood glucose monitor/test strips/lances/control solution out of pocket when you can get the works for free from Kaiser HMO and Medicare? I did, and I’ll never regret spending the money, because the Dario system is so tiny and powerful that it makes tracking oneself simple, quick, and completely unintrusive. You do need a smartphone, but if you have one already, then Dario will transform it into your single most important health-support device.

Too Complicated. I have to change my phone case to one of those that doesn’t really protect your iPhone because the dongle plug is too long and the dongle itself is too wide. Once you start using it it isn’t any simpler or more convenient than the meter I used to plug in and download the data from. You still have bags and lancets and strips to keep track of, it’s just a more tidy compact package but you could come up with one yourself that works almost as well. The app itself isn’t any great shakes over others you can get, maybe a little more integrated but only if you buy into the whole gadget scheme: fitness tracker, carb counter, weight management, crap you can do on your phone already.

Compared 3 - Dario App wins. I like data and the idea behind the design. If insurance covers it, I’ll start full use immediately. Very good app. I like that they allow input of data that describes mood, eating difficulties like vacation or eating out or traveling, and emotional state. Also, it allows for notes to be made. I like the data for future reference if things require it. But, I contacted Dario to buy their product and nobody responded.
