Amazing !!. This is the most amazing app ! It gives real-time updates . If you, (like me) love the ocean and all sea life you have to get this ! Reading the profiles of each amazing animal tagged and released and watching the tracked location is phenomenal. Sea world tracking app. If you are interested in animals, this is a really cool app! The only thing I wish is that it would update or sort by activity or something so the animals that haven’t pinged in a few years would clear out of the feed. I don’t want to lose their history, but would like the more current activity to be easier to see.

Really cool idea if only more people would participate!. The premise, of being able to see any shark or marine animal that has a tag on it, where it’s been and what it is doing is so unique and cool and something anyone would be interested in. The only reason I demoted it a star was because there are so few animals in the system right now that it looks pretty much the same day to day. It would be awesome to see more scientists and researchers engage with this app. I live in Southern California and to be able to look at this app and go, “oh Jamba the shark and Olio the sea turtle are out today. :)” would be really cool.

Please bring back the comment section. This app used to be a solid 10/5 stars, but after they got rid of the comment section it’s lost it’s magic. I miss Bu-cee’s comment section the most. The love we all had for the animals. The sense of community. It’s all gone now. It used to make me so happy to be with my fellow shark lovers. Now it’s… just not the same.

I recommend it. This app is very cool. I like how it tells us all of the Shark’s info not just the location. It lets you see tiger sharks and great whites. It also gives you info of how they tag the sharks too. This app is very great and would recommend it to everyone

Amazing app. I’ve had this app for about 6 or 7 years. I love it! I use it a lot but mostly during the summer. I live in Massachusetts so I know there are so many great whites at the Cape. I just love tracking the sharks. I first heard of this app on Discovery’s Shark Week. I hope everyone checks it out

I love this app.. I will never plan a vacation or go to a beach without first checking this app. I’m amazed at the number of great whites along the North and South Carolina coastlines and am enjoying following Unama’kai in the, whose been between Pensacola and Tampa in the Gukg if Mexico, as she had lingered there several weeks now. She is about a 15 foot long, over 2,000 pound great white !

Really fun app!!. I am a shark fanatic and this has been a really great app! It’s fun to see where the different sharks go and hang out. I enjoy waking up and checking on the different sharks. Of course, this will not show you EVERY shark in the ocean, as it is impossible to tag every single shark, but it is very exciting to see the sharks THATS re tagged and learn of their habits. I really love this app!’

Love this app!!!. I have been seeing epic sharks and all different kinds! From baby’s to almost adults and then adults I am on this app 24/7 it’s my fave app ever!!! I love all the sharks I see they are amazing and all of them are so cute there are even alligators, turtles, and seals!!!I love this app never change I really want to meet the creators it’s so cool!!!

Amazing!!. This app is literally so amazing. I love being able to learn more about my favorite sharks and also about other new sharks that pop up. They also have turtles and this is just such an amazing app to have. Comments are gone? Lame!. This app is super fun, informative, and helps keep my mind at ease. When I first downloaded it, I loved looking at the comments under each shark because they were always so funny and made the app distinctly enjoyable. Checked the app again and saw that they removed the comment section for no apparent reason. Sadly I have no incentive to use this app anymore so I’m just going to delete it. RIP Shark Tracker comments🙏🏻

Great Whites. Growing up on the eastern coast and a surfer, we encountered sharks. The fact that Great Whites are in our waters is scary but it is the natural part of living near the ocean. At one point while our daughter and son was being pulled on an inner tube, we saw a shark surface that was long as our boat. Needless to say we gently pulled our kids to the boat. And that was the end of inner tube riding in the waters near FRIPP ISLAND AND Beaufort SC.

Once was great. I loved this app when Mary Lee was around. Simple and more user friendly than the current app. The upgrades are counter intuitive. The ability to move easily between sharks is tedious. The map itself is not worth the frustration. If you going to build on an app make it worth the time. I have since uploaded and deleted this app a number of times in hope it will better. I am nearly at the point of not trying.

Comments gone. What a cool app that allows worldwide animal lovers as a community to track and comment to support these amazing animals. Oh wait- the comment feature has vanished without any note on app as to why? I don’t use shark tracker as much at all now, seeing all the great comments are no longer available? My kid and I loved tracking and reading and sending cheers to our fav sharks. In a recent update, the popular interactive side was taken away. From what I read in a similar review, comments removed from the app due to the very few not deemed appropriate— why not offer to have a review filter then users post appears shortly after? Bring comments back!!

PLEASE BRING BACK THE COMMENT SECTION. I was absolutely heartbroken to learn the comment section was removed. It was one of the few good things on the Internet these days and it brought us all together. Please please restore it. My heart can’t take missing out on such a positive part of my day. Thank you.

Sad day. I’m finally deleting this app. After over half a year of the comments disappearing and being unavailable, I am no longer interested. Peoples comments made this app 2x as enjoyable as the default version of it. I like tracking the sharks, sure, but there are other apps and websites where I can do that. What was special about this one was the comments. And that is obviously gone forever. I’m sad because at one point this was my favorite app. Goodbye and good luck

Super cool app, could be improved. Firstly, i love this app. it’s so cool to be able to see where these sharks are going and have been. but i do have a few critiques that could definitely improve it: - i think we should have an option to receive a notification when one of our favorited animals pings. i don’t usually check the app several times a day and there’s some pings i’ve completely missed. so getting a notification would definitely keep me more active on the app and overall more excited to know who’s pinging and when! - we need a variety of animals! i’ve noticed that there’s a lot of different animal categories, but the only animals we can currently track are sharks and 1 turtle. it seems like there just hasn’t been any new animals tagged recently. being able to track more turtles, dolphins, seals, etc would be so exciting.

I have always loved sharks and appreciate their importance.. I love this app because it has educational features that help my daughter and I learn about our favorite ocean creatures. When my financial situation is better I will definitely donate to Ocean Research! We the people need to fight for the life of the ocean because if we selfishly keep abusing it we will loose everything that we need to survive. God bless the men and women who dedicate they’re lives and time to help preserve theses beautiful animals!

It’s fun but not always accurate. I love this app but it shows any tag in the water and because of that you’ll see animals that are most likely dead but it still shows them in the water. So in simpler terms, half of the animals are dead, I still recommend it.

The more known, the more we can understand. I have been drawn to sharks since the movie,”Jaws” came out, I guess instead of fear I found curiosity in these beautiful creatures. This app allows me to take in information and believe it or not,… the personalities each project in the photos taken. I would love to know if the crew ever retags after the shark ping is lost, hoping Mary Lee will be back on a current list. Wishing all the best!

Thrilling Katherine. I have been tracking Katherine a massive great white shark, since she was tagged about 7 years ago. Exciting to see she is still out there with last ping in May 2020. I sit here and Katherine swims on and on. Only on Ocearch. The app is regularly up-dated and runs quickly. Find a favorite and stay in touch. Ocearch connect me to the adventure of a majestic creature.

There ARE sharks in Hawaii. This app pretty good, pretty good. Was it amazing? Not really. I understand that you really cannot track every shark in the ocean. But I downloaded this app as a worried individual, looking for a way to feel aware of the sharks in my area before I hit the sand. And you know what, I saw the sharks on the map... but they were from like 2017. Now, I did see that you are able to see “pinged” sharks. Those sharks were updated only a phew days ago. That was helpful. And as I started to become less worried, then I looked at the entire map. And what did I see... NO SHARKS IN HAWAII. Concerning? Yes. Again I know that you can’t track every shark in the ocean, but like... common. I’m no marine biologist, but I know that sharks ARE in Hawaii.👁👄👁

Nice app, decent idea.. Nice app, it’s fun to look around at the sharks but the “real time” tracking isn’t really “real time”. I understand the sharks have to stick their fin above surface to send a signal, this the signals don’t come very often. It would be very useful to be able to sort by ping date in the tracker map page. Thereby allowing the user to eliminate pings that are years old.

New user. Just got the app last night out of curiosity. I noticed similar apps, but this ones more popular so thats why I chose this one. Being able to track sharks/other animals AND make it available to the general public like this is wicked awesome! 😁 I noticed people sad about comments section being removed. I have nothing to compare it too since I’m new to the app, but I’m also very aware that sometimes commentary from other people can ruin a good experience, so it’s not a big deal for me. Also there obviously needs to be someone monitoring the comments and quite honestly that could be a significant waste of time/money resources. Considering conservation projects and public outreach is almost always run on donations, limited funding and tons of volunteer work, I think what has been done - from tagging sharks to creating this app, etc., - is simply amazing. I hope to see much more tagged specimens showing up in the future. Thanks everyone who’s helped make this possible ❤️

Definitely download!. Wow! This app is amazing, if my friend never showed me this I would have nothing to do on my iPad! This gave me real time places of where sharks and other animals would be. Recommend instantly! If you see this you HAVE TO download it! It gives you cool videos and all the info about these sharks and other cool interesting sea creatures that roam around in the sea! Love this app and I’m learning so much interesting facts 🩷💜💙

I love this app!!!. I love getting to see where sharks have been, what their stats and all that good stuff, I just don’t really like the pictures :/ the sharks are usually dead and they aren’t probably the actual sharks. They seem like stock images. I could be wrong though, I recommend this app to everyone!!!

Incredible!!!. This is the most incredible app I’ve ever seen. I know for many years scientists have tracked sharks and many other animals migration patterns, but now the general public has access to this information at their fingertips.

Best shark tracker ever!. So helpful! This app has so many details and so many different animals you can track! I can’t even imagine how these these researchers and marine biologist track all of those animal! I definitely recommend this app!

Enjoyable app. This app is incredible. It’s not Real-time, though, for many of the sharks shown. There are sharks that haven’t pinged for over 5 years. App could be more Real-Time if old-ping sharks could be hidden from the map without removing the shark’s data? Sharks travel long distances within days so they could be anywhere. Thank you to the app developers for sharing all this info. Incredibly interesting👍🏼

Interesting but old information. I like the idea and it’s really cool, but the nearest sharks to me were last pinged in 2016 and 2018. It’s now 2020. I thought this would be more of a thing to use before I went to the beach not just to see that there have been sharks in my area. Maybe I misunderstood. Also, it would be nice if you could select an animal and have a small amount of information pop up without losing the map view. Fun, but not as practical as I’d hoped for. EDIT: I made a mistake, the blinking dots are the recently pinged, so it does have some up-to-date info. The other suggestion still applies in my opinion.

Suggestion. I think it is a great app. I enjoy watching where the shark has gone, one thing I like doing is seeing how close they get to shore it sends shivers of excitement and fear through me! What I think would improve the app is if I tells you how far it is from shore or a specific location on the map. I give a round of applause to the creators of the shark tracker and the oceanographers who tagged the sharks and other sea animals!

I love this app but there could be a few things done to improve. This app is great but one of the things I feel that would benefit this app and the users would be a favorite option for the animals. So if you favorite the animal there could be an extra tab where all your favorites go so you can track them individually. I would really like this feature since it would save me and a lot of other users time finding the animals we like to track.

I love sharks. If you’re like me and you love sharks this is your app. You can go anywhere in the world and track sharks. These sharks have tagged and photographed. It’s quite an amazing app. There are no in-app purchases so it is completely free unless you want to make a donation.

I am so intrigued by sharks.. This is a really interesting app. You are given information about individual sharks and shown where they last pinged. I keep track of them and am motivated to help these most awesome creatures. I really suggest to give your age appropriate access to this app also.

Great app!. This app is great for marine animal lovers. You get to see so many animals like sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, and seals/sea lions! All the animals have names. Just one thing I would change about the app. I wish there was a way to favorite specific animals so that you can easily check back in on them later. Over all I think it’s a great app for ocean lovers. Highly recommend if you are into that kind of stuff.

Fun but one addition could make it more so!. This app allows you to see all the various animals that are tagged and you're able to follow their path throughout the seasons based on "pings"- basically every time the animal surfaces. You can also choose certain animals as favorites. I choose my favorites based on the ones who tend to visit the area where I live every season. But what would make this app more exciting (and useful) is to be able to set up alerts for when your animal either pings or better, pings within a certain radius of your area. As the app is set up now, you cannot receive notifications or alerts so you will miss when the animal is close- unless you go onto the app and check every day. I realize this is a science app that is kindly being shared with us nonscientists, but I'm sure one of the undergrads could easily take this on as a simple project?

Bring Back Comment Section. Cool app with interesting details about individual sharks and their paths. I’m disappointed that the comment section has been removed though. It was always fun and entertaining to check that feature. I referred several friends to the app because of the comment section. It was just a fun little bonus area that should be brought back.

Wonderful Window into the unknown. It’s real research on living beings in the ocean. To be able to see where Greats track for a year to me is the bees knees. Add on the turtles and porpoises there’s always something pinging to see. A great educational tool and a great cause to support. Maybe if more people knew about this they would care a little more saving the sea life…

Love Shark Tracking very interesting!. WeSo fortunate to have the technology to do what we can do in tracking the sharks. They are a vital part of our ecosystem. Educating people about their movement’s helps us be a part of their lives in a good sort of way we’re not invading their privacy or changing their behavior but understanding them is important for all

COMMENTS PLS. like many others I love checking my shark tracker app, it’s super cool and interesting to see their movement! I miss the comments a lot though. I love sharks & their one of the things I hyper fixated on learning about, and it was awesome to see other people comment on the shark pages so I knew other people liked looking at this kind of things too :) I miss the comments, please bring them back if you can

not the same w/o comments. This app is one of my favorite apps of all time! I love sea life and the concept is great. However the comments brought so much more to the app. They were funny and kind of like a community. I never saw any inappropriate ones. Without them the app has lost its spirit and sadly I rarely use it much anymore. I’ll never delete but you should REALLY find a way to bring comments back with a filter. Not the same

no comments = no fun. the comments were literally the only reason i downloaded the app originally it was so much fun and made the whole thing a social experience as well as an educational and environmental one. now the app is dry and bland and it considering uninstalling. i understand wanting to make it child friendly since it is clearly supposed to be educational, but why not put an age limit on the comments? you can only view them if you are over 13 or something? or just add a filter like many others suggested? it’s extremely disappointing seeing them and all of the life in the app go away. i’ll still be there to support buc-ee and fast ball, but i don’t know how much longer i’ll stick around, and i definitely won’t be using the app nearly as much :( big disappointment.

I LOVE this app. I absolutely love this app. It’s great and I completely understand on why some pings are all the way back in 2017. Honestly there is no complaints about this app. The only thing I would like to add is that when there is a new ping I can get a notification. Other than that I love this because it brings out my shark lovingness.

Where did the comments go?. I got this app a while back and I had forgotten about it but I came back to it the other day and I have some things I want to mention. I used to love checking on certain sharks and seing the comments people left so when I checked the app again and saw the comment section gone I was really surprised. As far as I can tell, the comment section was a well loved feature so I don’t understand why you would remove it and would love to have it back and I am sure other people would too. Another thing I noticed is the fact that though you can search for many different types of sea creatures, The only ones you can actually see are several sharks and one single turtle. I understand that you cannot track ever animal in the ocean and that with covid-19 it is probably much harder to track animals but I would love to see at least a bit more variety. Other than these this is quite a good app and its quite enjoyable so I would love to see my recommendations added to the app.

My favorite social media. This app is so cool, I love all the sharks names and the comments people leave on their profiles. I’ve been putting so many people onto it and go on it all the time. I do with the app had a favoriting system so I could have a list of all my favorite sharks and maybe even get alerts when they ping. It would be nice if people could donate money to name some of the sharks or fund an expedition. I also really like how there are other animals like swordfish and turtles but I wish they were more recent. I think opening the app up to other aquatic animals and research groups could be a good way to adapt the app further, whales in particular would be cool. All in all, I love the app and am so glad I found it!

Not bad. I think that this app is a good app and it’s very interesting but the problem with it is that you can’t put your phone on a location. Let’s say that I’m going to Miami later this summer and I want to use it to see if there are any sharks in that area, the app won’t let me do that.

BRING BACK THE COMMENT SECTION. I never leave reviews. But this app really helped me out during a dark time in my life this year. I checked on these sharks everyday but I knew a big contributor to that was from the comment section. The internet is powerful and this app / research organization was able to bring a community of strangers -young and old -together to a place where we could all share the same thoughts and enthusiasm for these beautiful creatures. It was so fun to read all the various comments people would leave. For example one comment would read something like “Mary is a runner, she a track staaaaar” to the next comment saying “wow, Mary is bigger than most of the sharks in her species ( insert smart quote about shark here)”. VARIETY WE LOVE IT. I’m not sure if this comment will change your mind at all. But I have never been so upset over an app update before. I really hope my first review of an app will pay off ! Thanks.

Deleted Comments. I thought this app was amazing! I came away with a much better understanding of shark behaviour and started to see them for who they really are, sea creatures who deserve as much respect as any other. However, the comments helped to connect the people and the sharks. It added such an amazing element to a scientific and educational site. Without the comments, it seems its just another scientific and educational app. I don’t feel like I belong here any more.

Shark fan. Used this app for ages, tracking my favourite sharks. Sadly an update screwed it up and it hasn't worked properly for a year.

Amazing concept. I think this is an amazing concept and I applaud the hard work that goes into making this available to us. I would like to suggest some improvements: 1. There are many animals who have either died or lost their pingers. Could those animals have an update on their status to explain what happened. If this app aims at creating public support for individual animals, it’s only fair that we are also informed of their sudden disappearance. It also gives us a better understanding of areas where we may need better fishing regulations etc. 2. It would be great to see different species of shark in different colours. 3. Can we have an option to see all tracks at once. That way we can see what animals potentially crossed paths or mingled with one another :) Thank for aiding the cause to help save vanishing sea creatures!

Fantastic idea but has bugs. We need more scientific and educational apps like this. What a fantastic idea to bring sharks into people's lives. It seems the app is buggy though, the menu screen occasionally pops out of view and the social media feed is in the way of the map. It also lags and doesn't respond a lot. With some work this app could be revolutionary!

Great but could be better. I watched the Osearch documentary and it was really interesting. This App is defiantly a great idea but I do agree that it would be great if more Sharks were tagged in Australia, defiantly along the Queensland and New South Wales coast. Also, there is, what I'm assuming, a typo in the shark Mary Lee. It says that she was tagged in 1715, somehow I think that is wrong. But this is defiantly a great app

Totally awesome. This app is such an awesome concept. Unfortunately it does fall down on performance a little and the menu system 'hangs' on my iPad Air. However if this was fixed I'd give this great Eco idea the 5 star rave every day of the week. Great potential here!.

Don't bother. I thought it would be a great app however was disappointed. This app is only about sharks in South Africa. This apps opening screen is more concerned about Facebook pages then their supposed research. Don't waste your time with this app. The research is great but this app is not.

Needs much more improvement. This app seemed promising at first but acts extremely clunky and slow moving. I use an iPhone 6(latest iOS version as well)and it frequently crashes and randomly clicks on sharks or icons I haven't even touched. It has well thought out features but doesn't even let you use the scrolling feature to view a sharks information. Please update I would love to use this app but at the moment it just seems like a waste of space on my phone.

Great but needs improvement. This app is great but it keeps crashing and the reason no sharks have been tagged in Australia is because the federal government hasn't yet allowed sharks to be tagged please fix the crashing problem

Great idea - poorly implemented. I was so excited to download this and so disappointed once I did. Great idea, so poorly implemented and constructed, The App developer who created this needs to go back to school and learn the basics. Locked up, quit, locked up again, no clear direction on navigation. I GAVE UP. Now take note, I'm also using the latest high speed technology, imagine the poor souls on iPad 1s & 2s. Big money with sponsorship by CAT, hey CAT you need to get them to re write this and fix it or pull your sponsorship otherwise your associating your brand with rubbish. Get them to call all the Ws dot Iapps dot net dot au they'll fix it for you.

Weirdly love this. It's good fun! Would love if there was an option to "favourite" certain sharks so I could be alerted when they pop up again (e.g. always want to know where Oprah is touring next).

Little confused.. it's the little things. So I'm an avid lover of this app. But I've just noticed something, you can't actually view the sharks profiles from clicking the ping anymore? Have other users experienced this? It was it a change of feature; if so directions to the profiles of the sharks are needed because navigating through the app is no longer simple. Also there's no direct way to give feedback for app support within the app only to write a review? Or come Back to the App Store only to be sent to your website? Guys.. That's a huge miss for any app, your users are your interface into knowing what's going on with the app. These are little hiccups. I love the app, I do, you have five stars from me next time when the apps updated to fix these little things. Or clearly stated where the hell these things are.

Just a little advice people...... Unfortunately there are a large number of reviews, both positive and negative, that are missing the whole point about sharks, tagged or not- they are sharks!! Which means that they don't appear at set times or for appointments, they are wild as wild gets, not to mention perfectly evolved apex predators, who's domain is the largest most unexplored ecosystem on the planet! This all means that requesting more tagged sharks in a certain location, still will not guarantee something to amuse them like a game-app would. To summarise, this is a scientific data study to learn more about the very things these complaints are focussed on!

Buggy and Badly Designed. Great idea. Shame about the quality of the app. From the fuzzy graphics to the poor UX this must have been developed by an unsophisticated programmer. Will try again in the future when management come to their senses and hire a better on-shore app designer.

Track More Australians. Fricken love this app man. I love seeing my shark friends and their adventures. Kinda concerned a bunch of them are dead considering they haven't been seen in ages. Maybe they're just being all James Bond on us. Totally think you should track more Australian sharks (especially east coast). It'd be incredibly handy and interesting. Used to be scared of sharks (still am) but now not so much ... They're just as wild as us. They probably get High on poisonous fish and wake up some place they didn't know existed. Happens to the best of us.

Need the comments back!. Fantastic app, love seeing the migration patterns of these beautiful beings. Very bummed that the comment feature is disabled. Please consider bringing it back.

Great app. This is a great app and I really enjoy following all the great work you do however... I can't find any information on the pings now.. kind of making the app pointless to use 😔

Just a bit confused. There’s a big chance I’m just not doing something right, but there seems to be something wrong? For instance, one shark I always look for, Katya, seems to have the ability to grow legs and walk inland. I’ve seen her about three times on land, one time on a farm nowhere near water. There also seems to only be sharks around QLD- do sharks not like Canberra way? I’d love to be able to see what sharks are near me, but there’s never been a shark even remotely near. There’s also only been one turtle pinged ever near me. Am I using the app wrong?

Free or what!. Did not see any mention of this App cost. It just said “GET”. So I downloaded it thinking it was free. After giving it permission to download, it flicked up payment! It used to tell you if it cost to download an APP. Now it tells u “GET”...no mention of payment. Come on, be honest and disclose what it costs. This is just so wrong.

Great Shark tracking. Love the detail of the sharks that are tagged and to see their tracks

Shark wranglers. I personally loved watching the show and this app is a great way to see what the sharks have been up to and if they're ok.

West Australia. Love this app. Ocearch must get permission to tag great whites off our coast, mostly tigers tagged now. I follow all that are pinging off Aust coast. Great fun.

Don't know what to expect. Hello humans just downloading this app to find my shark friends apparently here in the waters SA this is a new fad. But it would be good for a human tracker cuz I have a taste for human flesh. Bye bye fleshy friends hope to see u again!

Awesome!. Love the app. Love being able to check in on sharks/turtles/dolphins and see what they are up too in a whole different world to what we are. It is interesting to see patterns of the wildlife. Would love to see some more recent sharks tagged rather than all old ones.

US based. App seems to work well but is set for the U.S. East coast. No settings can alter it. It seems there are only a couple of sharks in Aus for the moment anyway. Will give it another go in 6 months.

Great app. It’s a great interesting app, but it was better when we could filter by date. That way we could see better what is happening in live.

Meh. App is ok but other marine animals (not sharks) haven’t been tracked in a long time so unless you JUST want to track sharks you’re out of luck

Very cool. It’s a very interesting app, I can’t believe how far these animals travel is such short a time. I only wish there were even more sharks to track! I met made me get out my measuring tape to see how big the room I was sitting in was compared to the shark I was reading about, it wouldn’t have fit. Great sharks are the apex predator in the oceans, no doubt.

USA funds. Nice app, I like checking it out and sent it to a few people - you need to update your prices /donation page to advise it is USA amounts, not your home country where you make the purchase / donation. Bumps up the price from $26 US to $34 CDN.

Cool. Really cool that you can see where all these sharks are going. I only wish that you could favourite some of them to keep track of them at all times. Also some of them haven’t been tracked for a couple years does that mean they are not tracking or that they are no longer with us?

Very fun!. It's a really fun app, it's a great research that they are doing. If you know someone who loves sharks tell them to get this app! You can track sharks and see where they have gone since they were tagged, they give you a profile on the shark and tell you a bit about them and you can see them grow into their next stage of life.

Needs to be updated!!!!. This is the seed to a great app. I love how you can see the names of the sharks. However, it’s not helpful because the sharks need to be updated! I don’t want to see there location from three years ago! I want to see where they are now. Please make an effort to update their location.

Better at the aquarium. App worked fine using it at the aquarium we visited which was what led me to download it. However the filters don’t seem to work- I can see nothing but the sharks specifically which stinks cuz I wanted the turtles but enjoyed that this app had the ability to track so much more. Disappointing the other filter options are not working.

Love the app!. We sit on the beach in Myrtle Beach checking where the sharks are, very interesting! The first time I checked the app, I was telling my daughter that there was a shark right where we were, she looked at it and said ‘ that blue dot is you not a shark’😅. Thanks for doing this.

Amazing. This by far the best app I have ever down loaded for my kids. We track our favorite sharks and then when shark week comes we look to see if the raged sharks on there are in the app. Way to go ocearch!!!!! How fantastic that my kids feel like they are apart of your research efforts

MUST LOVE JAWS. I just absolutely love this app. Love what the OCEARCH crew does. Would love to “tag”😂along with their adventures and be able to tag some sharks myself and also photograph some sharks as well to improve my photography skills.

Great app for safety but...... I absolutely Love this app although there’s this glitch it could be for only my device or others at Australia it says 39 sharks on land I zoom in then it disappears like what🤨🤨🤨 I’m only a kid with permission for all this stuff but how come there’s like 19 sharks on east coast not moving there just sitting there!?!? 🤨🧐

Amazing. I love this app. I have been tracking a select few Great Whites for a few years now. The patterns are interesting... love this! I wish this was around when I was younger I might have gone into a different line of work.

My review. I love being able to look at what sharks are In my area and being able to tell what size, type, and how many pounds they weigh. This is very detailed and just an overall cool app.

Cape cod. My family n I come to the cape every summer , this is our 21st year at the cape and I love this app so much and sharks to the point I try n swim the beaches where the sharks are! Call me nuts but yeah and this app is amazing all around 5 stars!

THE BEST!!. this game gives u all the sharks and where they are the top of the list is the most recent which is almost every day!! It gives u the time they were pinged and it’s not all sharks! There are also turtles, seals and alligators

Sharks Beware!. This app freaks me out! In a good way. There is many sharks that you can track and the map gets updated fast. I love how they actually show other sea creatures such as dolphins. The only bad thing about it is that you have to create a account. Great job!😄

Love the app but have an issue. They should allow you to favorite specific animals you would like to track without having to search.

Can Not Save and Track Favorites. This app is great for my insomnia. The only thing I wish were different is that you could favorite animals and be notified when a ping was picked up for these favorites.

Really enjoy following the sharks. It's fascinating to be able to learn about sharks in general and also the specific sharks in this research study. I enjoy watching their migration habits and seeing when they come back north to Maine and Nova Scotia.

Great for ocean lovers. I check this app fairly regularly as I’ve grown up on East Coast beaches and used to dive a lot. Wish they would show pings only where a shark is located currently. Pings from weeks or months ago doesn’t lend credence to the use of the app.

The Coolest App. This app is crazy you can see tons of species of sharks from blue sharks to whale sharks and from whale shark to sea turtles dolphins and swordfish. Each has its own picture and you can see their migration patterns it’s really cool! Be sure to Donate! White sharks need all the help they can get!! DONT EAT Flake and Chips!

Semi-Addicted.. I really like this app too much. After being on the ocean for a few weeks I need to disable it and do some rehab! The videos of each shark live is captivating.

Sharks are great. The platform is simple & easy to use my only complaint is some of these Sharks are most likely dead as their gps’s stopped pinging in 2018 & are on land. please take off the dead Sharks or memorialize them if you can!

Great but wish there was a pin feature. So fun, but wish there was a way to pin favorites to a list so you could follow just ur fav sharks/turtles and get notifications for when they ping. Thank u for coming to my ted talk.

Comment Section. The comment section was such a positive addition to the app. It was so much fun seeing a community of people comment on the sharks and leave funny or kind messages to the sharks. Please bring back the comment section.

Don’t use it since they took the comment section away. I use it b/c I live in Miami but the animals that are tracked never come that close and the comment section was HILARIOUS. Unfortunately they took it away and I find it boring now. Getting rid of the app now

Fun and Educational. Heard about this app and thought I’d try it. My young daughter and I love to track the different sharks. We also watch the other animals. I like the turtles and she looks for the dolphins. She is learning to respect all types of sea life. Even the “scary” ones.

Best app ever!. I was terrified of sharks, and was afraid to swim in the ocean because of my fear of being ripped apart. But then I found Shark Tracker. Knowing that I can use this app to identify the precise location of all the world’s sharks at any given time allows me to wade into to the ocean with a newly discovered confidence. Enjoy this app. If you could get more live videos and streaming, it would definitely make it a better experience. Plus some more in depth information on each shark species and turtle species. THANK YOU!!. Being an East Coast Fla resident (4 blocks) this is extremely helpful for myself and kids. Though we’ve had spinners behind us. And know what times we become “shark bait” plus we know there are way more then we can see! But we love our ocean abd THIS IS JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Love the idea. Great idea and concept but every shark tag I clicked on near the beach we go to was last pinged a year plus ago. Maybe their tags have fallen off or something and maybe since covid has been going on they haven’t been able to go out and tag more? Idk….

IT WONT LET ME SIGN IN but I love sharks and oceana in general so I still have the app. Every single thing I have tried to do won’t work it will not let me sign in it’s like it’s made for no one to sign in anymore it’s so annoying but since I love sharks like ALOT and I love oceana I kept the app if anyone can help me sign in please do

Review on Shark Tracker. I find the app fascinating. To be able to see shark location and movement is interesting. I hope people don’t start killing them again. Watching 60 minutes on how the sharks are tagged,monitored,info gathered and released shows concern from the techs and scientists involved

Awesome tracker. Had this app for awhile now it stopped working for almost 2 years glad it was updated and running again. I love to see what sea life is around us since we live close to the water. Keep up the great work.

Great app, but lacks key for measuring distance on the map. This app does a great job of conveying a good deal of complex information in an organized, efficient way. It would be nice to get an alert when one of my favorited sharks pings. Also I’d love to see some more video. Thanks so much!

Nice App But.... Would like to see an automatic tracking feature where I could select a shark, receive text/email notifications of pings and automatically see locations/track when I activate the app. Perhaps this feature could be available to those who donate?

Very interesting!. I am pleased to see the app working well. I am interested to learn more about some of the oldest creatures on earth. Sorry for my first bad review. I tried to use it the first time when the system was down. I look forward to using.

So cool!. I love this app a lot. It’s easy to use and pretty educational. The only thing I’d ask for is a way to “save” animals that you would like to revisit or get specific ping notifications on. Otherwise, I’d totally recommend to anyone.

No comments?. The part of the app that made it the most enjoyable for a large number of users, the comments, being removed is a big bummer. A community of shark and aquatic creature lovers all congregated here, now it feels desolate and isolated when I use the app. Without the sense of community and the appreciation we want to express for ocean life, it’s a far less enjoyable app. However, I’m keeping the app, because I still want to track my girl Andromache.

Idk why I downloaded this app. Usually I delete apps but I like this app cuz it really feeds my curiosity I just like to look at the shark locations and I like how other people keep track of sharks they like. ... I also live in Florida so it’s cool to know which sharks are near Daytona beach
