SketchGuru cannot import pictures. It used To work flawlessly and was one of my favorite apps. Now, not sure if it’s the new iOS version or the new version of sketch guru, but I cannot load pictures into the app from my photo library just shows a blank screen even though I selected something. Can’t go back have to reboot try again same result. Would love some help to make it work again really could use it thanks

Perfect App. I was looking for something to convert photos to a hand sketch drawing and this worked great. Simple to use and easy save features.

Out of place out of touch. Everything was fine until now when I tried to pull my roast recent pictures it’s like pulling scrambled eggs you never know what you’re going to get, they don’t sync with my picture file after the new updates, I know I’m scatterbrained, but come on..!!

Latest update makes it undesirable.. This app is just about average quality. Sometimes the filters get the point, many more times can’t. With the latest update, they decide to narrow the choices we can use while telling us we have to pay subscription for the rest of the filter. I won’t use it anymore.

Not happy. I’ve had your paid version for years and found it very useful. Then overnight you turned it into a subscription based app. Now I have no reason to use it anymore. I feel like this was bait and switch.

What was paid for is now a Monthly Fee. I owned the $2.99 app and access to all Effects. . . Now, after the shameless Upgrade. . . I only have access to two (2) filters. . . Disabling my previous purchase. Instead if creating a new App and charging. . . They've messed with what i’ve already paid for. . . Who knows now what would do with a subscription service. . . Cannot recommend this Developer.

I love Sketch Guru. Whenever I photograph an image I think Sketch Guru! I DO Sketch Guru! I can turn a simple image into a work of art!

Disappointing. This was a favorite for years, but I’m not seeing the point for users in the change to a subscription model. No new filters or significant features or even a decent resolution size since the added cost. I can make screenshots with larger dimensions than the export. I canceled the subscription within a few minutes. Too bad, because I still like some of the filters.

Great App!. Exactly what i was looking for. Adds complexity to boring pictures. I have found that what works for one pic doesn’t necessarily work for another so it’s like starting a project from scratch each time I use it. Great fun!

Love the Results but. Love the results of so many of my photos Because I make my own stationary. I use photos of my own paintings & also sketch guru photos I have taken & make cards I buy from Blick catalog. But it is not an easy App to navigate to get the photos from my gallery-have to scroll forever to find ones. Do not understand why it just does not go to photos or albums like on my iPhone. I am amazed by the transformed photos into art. I can not find my version in the App Store. Other friends want it! Thanks -have had so much fun with SketchGuru!

Kinda basic. But it seems to work just fine

Best photo app. I use this app all the time to make pictures look like paintings. So fun.

Quite decent. Does a nice job with making photos look like sketches or paintings. Not a huge number of filters, but might be fine for a given purpose. (There are other apps that do better with “painting” filters, but SketchGuru seems to have the best “pencil” filters, especially for MMO screenshots. I won’t say it’s the only app you need, but it’s a very worthy member of the photo-filter arsenal.)

Portrait. Easy to use and instant results

Great app if it let me use my gallery. It will only access 34 picture out of 1,500 in my gallery. I was using this for work and now downloaded another app because it can actually get my picture and yes it has full permissions in the settings. It’s sad because this is a good app for what I do but it fails to let me actually use it. Poor developing

Stopped working!. I have used this app with no problems for years. Suddenly all I see is a white screen after selecting a photo or a black screen if I choose camera. I deleted the app (losing all my previous data) and reinstalled. It’s still doing the same thing. Sadly, I will need to find a different app to use.

cutting off image. Used to be legit. now cuts of pics on the right side. I e written and asked about it and got no reply. so, why pay for something, stay loyal for years, even promote it…and get shunned. Don’t do reviews ever, however, this calls for it.

This is why we stop buying apps. How do you switch an app that a person paid for— into a paid subscription right under their nose? This is the type of stuff that should be investigated. Plus, the app is way worse now! I wish I could rate zero stars.

Offset picture. Need to fix the framing why is the picture offset to the right needs fixing please

SketchGuru is my go to app for creativity. I have been using SketchGuru for over 10 years now and it’s my number 1 app for creatively trying out different modes of color and textures in my photos. Both sketch options make is easy for me to print a sketch of my photo for tracing onto real media for painting and sketching. The watercolor modes add that extra pop to digital artwork too. I think the subscription price is fair, too.

Early on. I just got the app. Did one picture. It’s pretty cool. Only got the free version,so the pro version could be really cool?? That’s bout best I got for now. Don’t know why these apps alw ays want a review immediately after you get it? Give a person a minute to check it out! Late

Love it. It's fast, whether you take a photo or use one from your gallery. This is the best I've seen to create sketches or paintings of photos. There's even one that looks like crayon coloring. 👍🏼👍🏼

New upgrade a takeaway. Many functions and filters nor require purchase: unfortunate but solid

They removed access to my premium options. With this new version I don’t have access anymore to several options/tools that I had before included in my premium license. Very disappointed

easy to use. Seems so simple and intuitive. I like it.

Can not use a current photo. I really liked an earlier version of this app. The current app does not allow one to pull from your current local library. It requires one to pull from 1. Albums - for me it has a couple thousand albums listed. Or 2. wants me to connect the app to a FB, Flickr ~ account. I choice only a two apps to connect to social media. This is the first app like this which does not allow me an option to pull from a local library like ”Moments”. I really liked an earlier version of this app. I will keep this unusable ”brick” installed, cross my fingers, and hope an update will add back the function to pull a photo from the current photo library, like Moments.

Fantastic App To Liven Up Your Photos!. Definitely 5 stars because it's so easy to use and I love creating different looks for my photos!

No imports. This was a great app but recently will not let me import pictures from photo gallery. Please fix.

WAS good. Now... not so much.. First, I'm willing to buy this, not rent it. Secondly, I've owned this app for around a decade. NOW you want to charge me. That's like getting a Christmas gift from someone only to be charged for it a few years later. Does it come with a complimentary jar of Vaseline?

Good app. It’s a good app if you need a picture done quick you basically just hit what you want it to look like from a limited selection and crop the photo then hit done that’s it but a little disappointed because this was not like how I thought it sounded like

Dislike your update. I used to have this app with all effects for free, but when I update, it asked me to purchase these free effects!! I hate it, when I update for bug fix and ends to buy the app, I deleted your app. Any way, I found a better app called “pencil sketch” with all effects and much more features.

Great Options.... For creating artwork from photos. Easy to use on my iPad.

Bug needs fixing. This used to be at least a 4-star app. However, the orientation of the image preview screen pushes a significant portion of uploaded photos beyond the screen and the user interface is drastically diminished, as you cannot edit the entire photo. I have tinkered, and went as far as to uninstall/reinstall but the problem persists.

Cannot believe how good this is. I have been looking for an app like this for ages - it turns photos of portraits into watercolour beautifully - no app comes close to the quality and tonal values as this when it comes to portraits. Love, love, love this app - so sophisticated, easy to use and so cheap for what you get!!!

Used to be great. I originally loved this app for its free and interesting filters. Now I have to pay if I want more than 3 effects. Paying for an additional 7 or so effects (all the others I previously had for free) just isn’t worth it. You just lost an app user. Unless your subscription service starts offering a lot more than it currently does, this app will disappear into the mire of photo apps (with more functionality) already available.

Good App but needs some tweaking. Can't fault the pictures that get created. Really good. Just little things that should be fixed, i.e. if you want to change pictures, you shouldn't have to go back to the beginning, when you look through your album you should be able to just hit the top of the screen to scroll to the top,

Absolute delight. For me it allowed a measure of creativity too be expressed, which sadly due to my consummate artistic lacking has opened the doors to new dimensions of creativity!!

Amazing filters. As we all know there a heap of apps out on the market that claim to do a lot and in essence don'r deliver.... especially in the design or graphics category... So when you find one that does and does it well, its worth writing a review and letting everyone know. The filters in this app are just amazing... who needs drawing skills anymore... well worth the purchase.

Great app. Especially combined with Photoshop Touch on iPad.. The pencil sketch function is one of the best I have seen. I especially like the effect of combining monotone and coloured sketches of an original image within Photoshop Touch on the iPad. I use its layer functions and blend modes, like multiply, and also play with layer order. Adding the original image to sketches at various opacities is another way of creatively using this excellent app. The resulting pen and ink like effects are very pleasing.

Great filter and unique sketch up. I have tried different 'sketch' apps but this is very different. The result is just better and more sketch like. Good work!

Potential. This app has potential but is limited by the size of the photograph. If I buy the full version is there many improvements available to me?

Great fun. I loved playing with this. It does not really replace doing your own drawings but it fills a gap for the many people who cannot draw! It is easy, intuitive, and really fun to use. I bought the add free version almost immediately. My only criticism is that I would like it to save images as bigger files.

Sketch Guru. Just got this. No instructions, but after a play with it, I couldn't work out how to add it to my camera roll or even email it. All that "share" got was an ad for the app.

Sketch reviews. I have both ( Sketch Guru ) & ( Pencil Sketch ) Are very similar and are both for free but in sketch guru you can't save a picture or sketch but in pencil sketch you can save a picture or sketch and go to it anytime. Also the sketches are not as realistic or as good on sketch guru then pencil sketch. Pencil sketch is clear, realistic and is very detailed so guru sketch isn't really worth it, I would get pencil sketch instead since it is much better. Hope it helped😊😀😉

One of the best. I've tried quite a few sketch/cartoonizer apps and this is by a mile one of the best. Easy and intuitive. Good variety of effects. Most importantly, effects are adjustable which makes it into a usable app, not just a toy to kill some time at the airport. My only regret is that its hi res is not really all that high 1280x720. Perhaps they can improve it in the future versions.

Just works perfectly. This is the best software for pencil sketch renditions I have ever used. Highly recommend it. I just want to keep trying all the options.

Great app. Great results with this app. Found free version was not too responsive as the at the top corners and bought remove as version. Much more responsive and no ads within program. Would have given it a higher score but when I launch app it pauses for a few seconds then gives me an ad splash page that I have to close to use program.

Not all my pictures..... For some reason my camera roll pictures do not appear when I want to to the app. Very frustrating!!!!

Very nice and creative. An app that let you pick the area of the photo to draw, then it give you a full size picture of your picked area after the save. There are many different ways or forms to you choice of drawings and your creativity. The result are so good that others might think you did yourself by hand with the printout.

Used to work but now..... Takes for ever to access gallery photos - and it does such a poor job of gathering them. Once you have access, it's impossible to select a photo. Worthless now.
