We've introduced a new feature that makes downloading audio books-in-blinks a one-tap breeze: you'll see a new Download icon as soon as you open your library. But don't fret—all those audio files won't eat up all your device's precious memory! You can easily delete all downloaded audio files at once in your app settings. And with this latest update, you can toggle on auto-delete, so downloaded audio disappears in a cloud of digital smoke the moment you're done listening. POOF! More free space for the next titles on your list!
Love hearing the "Blinks" - the key points of each book. Allows you to get the gist by reading the blinks or listening to the audio. I review books i wouldn't normally but and broaden my horizons as a result. It is a timesaver and if a book intrigues you you can always buy it for more details.
Great tool for getting a sneak peak at what matters the most to you. Just enough to make your mouth water.
I agree with Dr. Nemo, aka Narwhal. I've deleted Blinkist but am still receiving their useless emails.
I love books. The dream of reading two or three books a day is out of the question. With Blinkist I get the sensation of reading several books a day and easily retain the main point of the book. Since it only takes about 15 minutes, I can now get through books that would not normally make it to the top ten books to read. I'm learning about things that I'm curious about but don't have the time to look into those topics. Great app!
Very difficult to work with and help is very slow. Good idea, terrible service
As travel, learning and being out of the country for months is my standard. This app is a great way to catch up on current issues in the USA. Very much enjoy the variety and efficiency provided.
A must have for quick reads and great tips on the go!
The focus is basically on book reviews summary in a specified time which adversely affects the quality of reviews. I read several books already summarized. Unfortunately the summaries, to conform within a time frame, preclude delivering a thorough review. The time allotted should increased to allow meaningful summaries.
This App is what I have been looking for all my life. Like most successful entrepreneurs we are all pressed for time but to maintain our competitive edge we all know that we need to keep reading and feeding our brains. This App is the Answer to my Prayers. Strongly Strongly Strongly Recommend Kevin Brody LandFall Data
I found this App to be a good idea, but ultimately found the info is very vague and doesn't really leave you feeling like you know more about any of the subjects. It's essentially like a cursory glance through a wiki page or your friend telling you what a book is about. You're not exactly an expert after said explanation and at best you'd be inspired to learn more which defeats the purpose of this very expensive service. That said I cancelled after the 7 day trial and they won't refund the auto subscription they charged because I purchased through iTunes and not their website! $60 wasted (they automatically charge for a premium membership during the trial)! Not worth it, just read the books or buy the audible versions.
anyone use this app??
Blinkist - Nonfiction Book Notes in Audio & Text. Available on the #AppStore #Education
Does anyone use Blinkist? Anything positive or negative to say about it? Seems like an interesting concept.
Excellent way to hear cliff notes on non fiction books!
Awesome app, very engaging and informative.
If you'd like to read a lot, but don't have as much time as you used to then this app is for you.
Inspirational quotes? I'm interested. Choice selections of books that motivate? Awesome! Quick summaries of entrepreneurial lit I want to read but don't have the time? And it comes with audio? All great. But I get a 1-day free trial and then you want me to pay continuously for content I can't own? Works for music, not for this. Lost me immediately. There needs to be a 3rd option here beyond the two sub plans.
I really like being exposed to titles I might otherwise not encounter as well as the many "classics". I use the audio version the most, it's convenient and great to listen to in the car.
I simply love this app. Very useful for people that want to always learn yet want to do it quickly. Also, updates are always pleasant as far as I've seen; no horrible bugs introduced just because of new features. All in all, if you're reading this, you should get Blinkist.
Blinkist enables me to have a new hobby which is browsing through book summaries before purchasing it. Love it
I love the app and read a book every day or listen to it. I have a premium membership. Is there a way that I can listen and read from my library on two separate devices? I have two iPhones and a iPad. Thanks
Very nice the Send-to-kindle option and the audio feature. Only thing I wish the collection would focus as much on history, autobiographies and science from legit authors as it does on self-help, money making and that other sorts of books which the same material can be found on blogs all over the Internet
Simply, make the app like Netflix for readers, monthly subscription opposed to a hefty yearly fee, consumers don't like to spend big chunks at a time (especially on a app) use the opportunity to appeal to the eyes and mind... " it's like Netflix, for readers" $8.99 basic $12.99 premium , if not continue to discourage customers with lofty prices; which leads to the deletion of the application never to be re-downloaded again and a once happy consumer forever lost and on to (which is free)... You're welcome.
