Rainy Mood = Best Mood. I've used Rainy Mood for as long as I can remember and I really love the recent sound additions. Rainy Mood lulls me to sleep every night and helps me stay asleep, which is no easy feat considering that I deal with frequent bouts of insomnia. There are many white noise and background noise apps, but Rainy Mood is consistent in getting me to a relaxed state, which makes it a really great anxiety reducing tool as well. Factoring all that in with its easy controls and customization aspects, Rainy Mood is definitely one of the best sound generators on the App Store right now :)

Worth every penny. This really helps my issues with overstimulation and executive dysfunction. If listening to the rain soothes you or helps you focus on your tasks, GET THIS APP. I love the customization sliders and the volume is good (you don't have to max your volume just to hear anything). There's 4 main types, like ocean, countryside, cafe, and whatever the fourth one I don't use is. Probably just generic rain. You can add things like seagulls and waves on ocean rain, or completely mute those options, with a simple slider. Value: I think I only paid three bucks for this app? Definitely wasn't more than five. Give it a shot and play around with the options. The sound quality is top notch.

Okay, BUT.... I want to first say that I do like the app, but have a couple issues with it. First, the sound effects cannot be set to random (like how the website version normally operates) so I can either have birds constantly chirping in my ear or not at all. Second, and most importantly, the app doesn’t integrate with the iPhone’s (not sure about androids) sound UI, so if you try to pause it with a controller on your headphones, you will start playing Apple Music over the rainy mood audio (though in some ways, that could be seen as a plus for some people). These are merely improvements, aside from those issues, the app works as you would probably expect.

What happened to Airplay?. I don’t use this app often, but in the past I used Airplay to send the rainy mood audio to my Apple TV > Receiver > bedroom speakers. The airplay functionality has changed so that now I can only do screen mirroring, which essentially results in the same audio output but absolutely kills my battery and is less convenient than Airplay because it prevents me from having other content displaying on my iPad while playing rainy mood through the speakers. It is an app killer and I now wonder what I paid for this.

I love it and don’t regret downloading it.. Best way to do anything is listing to this sounds of the rain and thunders, I love how beautiful and relaxing the sounds are. Best part is you can do something else in your phone while listening to the rain it helps me a lot to sleep, study, relax, and organize my thoughts and stop me from thinking too much and it really make my brain and head feel light and not heavy.

Always loved RainyMood, always will. This app is fantastic, and I'm a big fan of the ocean sounds more than anything. As a college student that doesn't get the best sleep, the 1-hour timer is great for getting to bed and saving a little battery too. (I do wish the timer could be adjusted to a half-hour or longer, though this would be my only suggestion.) Thank you, RainyMood!

Only one thing they need to change to be perfect for me.. The app is too quiet! When I try to play my music along with it (which would be a great feature to take advantage of), all I hear is music, not rain. If possible, boost the max volume for the app so it can compete, or make a way to balance out which source is louder than the other. I like my music to be playing softly underneath the rain, not the other way around, and I can't do that while I'm on a trip with other people.

I love you. Rain, sometimes it isn’t the thing we want because our social being needs constant attention. However, it creates a catatonic state for any human, since the dawn of our ears. The devs should rest peacefully knowing they made so many souls content with the world around them. I love you

Excellent Customization. The free Rainy Mood is great, but I didn't like the thunder. Now I can turn the thunder frequency way down and adjust the bird frequency as well. But I've gotten to prefer the countryside rain lately, because it sounds more like the rain's falling in a forest. An amazing of work went into the details in this app. If you use the free Rainy Mood and enjoy it, buy this app.

You will love it!. I love rainy mood! I’ve used it for years now. When I was in high school I would use it when I would read books, and in college when I would study. Now I use it to help my kids go to sleep and it really helps they fall asleep within minutes! Definitely recommend!

Tweaks please :). I seriously love rainy mood. I use it all the time and I wouldn’t want to go to sleep without it. I even use it a lot during the day. Two things I’d like to request if possible: bigger volume range. I find that when I listen to music with the app, the rain is very often inaudible even with the rain volume set to maximum. The music drowns it out most of the time. The other request may not be realistic...would like an EQ a lot. Not for my music, for the app sounds. I love simulating soundscapes and EQ helps with that.

Love. Rainy days were always my favorite. This helps me fall asleep much quicker. My two year old twins also love it. It used to take them hours to fall asleep, but now when I turn the app on, they get so excited, "yaay it's raining!" They grab their blankets and lay down and they are out within minutes! It's a miracle really. My only complaint is one I see often in the reviews, I wish it had more rain "scenes" for the price I paid. I agree with other users in that there should be a "rain hitting the window" setting. Possibly also a setting of how rain sounds when it hits the roof of your car with some light "traffic" noise. Maybe also a "rain in the hood" setting for us who grew up in the hood, maybe some subtle sirens in the background?? Thanks!

Perfect for study and sleep. I love this app because it is great at drowning out background noise while I study or sleep. Admittedly, I only use the rain sound, but fidelity is just right. I never detect any overlap. In fact I love the sound of the (fog horns?) in the distance. I've passed on many sound apps because I actually missed those lazy, groaning horns for some weird reason. Anyways, PLEASE don't change a thing! This app is perfect for me the way it is. Thank you!!

My favorite for studying!. I can spend hours on end listening to this while I study to concentrate. There's something about rain that is soothing and this definitely does the trick! You can play music with the sound of rain if you want or surround yourself with the sounds of a cafe with the rain. It's your liking to be honest. (:

Love this app. I’ve had it for years and used it for years, I absolutely love it and the fact that you can close it and it keeps working, I also like that you don’t hear any kind of looping with the sound. I use the rain turned all the way up and the other two things turned all the way down for studying and it works like a charm!

Perfect combination of sounds. I used to run the web versions of Rainymood and Coffitivity together so I could get the sounds of background talking along with the rain. Lo and behold, the Cafe option on this app now has that as one sound, with adjustable volumes for the people, rain, and street noises, all in one. Honestly it’s fantastic - I get to turn off my hind brain and focus on the task at hand. Love this app!!

I’ve had this app for 12 years. Throughout every year I have had this app installed and used on every phone I’ve had over the years-I have always had the benefit of wonderful sleep when I direly needed it. I’ve never had issues with this application since I discovered it and I’ve yet to experience any issues so far. Highly recommend, you can adjust almost all aspects of the sounds and even disable some sounds such as the birds if you wish. I love this app.

The Best App. This app is so helpful and beautiful. Whoever thought of it deserves a medal. You can control the volume of the elements of each soundscape, you can play music with it. But best of all, it soothes your whole soul. It’s perfect for during the day when you’re doing stuff and falling asleep with it is amazing. You need this app. You might not know it yet, but you do.

10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Works the best for the apps I’ve had.. By far one of my most favorite things to put on right before bed, always calms me down and puts me to sleep. Coming from a person who loves thunderstorms the way you can change the settings to have more thunder and less rain makes it by far one of the better apps I’ve tried. It puts you in a state that you can control with the environmental sounds. 11/10 would recommend. Worth the buy. Plus with the new updates it’s not just the classic rain fall, countryside is by far my favorite one of them all (for the soul facts of crickets chirping in the background), but now it offers ocean, and cafe. Plus if you want you can still play some soft tone music in the background and fluctuated how long the music is over the rain and thundering. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars

Amazing app. I’ve used this app for years! Using the website before I knew of the app. By far my favorite sleep tools. I just wish there were more options to choose from. The rain also sounds more like white noise than it does rain now. Still an amazing app.

Worth Every Penny. This app is exactly what I needed. As an artist, I need to block out the world to really focus on my project. As a mom who works from home, that can be next to impossible. The customization options allow me to dial the sounds in to what’s actually going to cover the household noise. I could not be happier with it. (Should note that someone is watching my kids when I work. Lol.)

Fantastic App, developer please read. Let me start by saying this is the single most used app on my devices. If you are reading this review, buy the app. It’s literally my favorite app. However, a recent update seems to have broken the ‘play in the background’ ability, when you can also put on your own music. This hasn’t been the case in the past and hope it gets fixed soon.

A wonderful calming app!. I like to sit in coffeeshops and restaurants and use my iPad. Sometimes, the surrounding noises can really distract me. This helps to both mask those noises and to calm me down so I can focus. As a bonus, it will keep playing until you stop it, even if an app would normally stop any other sounds that are playing. This came in very handy when I was trying to enjoy a few animated Kindle books with any of the three music playing apps I have, since the Kindle app totally stops any regular music players when you’re viewing a page with an animation. This app keeps right on going, letting me read in peace.

Sleep Aid. If you’re looking for an app to help kill silence, this is the app. I use this app in a variety of settings. I use it while studying, as I fall asleep, during hangouts, as I shower, to help soothe snoring. The sounds from this app have totally helped improve my mental wellness. Sometimes I’m tired of hearing music, as much as I love it, but to hear the ocean, then close my eyes and picture it. Nothing compares. This app is a great stand alone but also is compatible with any orchestra piece you’d like to hear. It adds a new dimension. I had a roommate who snores heavily and whenever I turned this app on, my friend’s snoring decreased in intensity. I’ve enjoyed this app for the past couple years and I hope to use it for many more!

Best on the Market. I use this every night to sleep. I have it on when I’m studying, writing or doing just about anything. It’s so relaxing. The interface is easy to use and the options provide a nice set of sound profiles. Truly a must buy if you love rain on demand for sleep or study.

Not as good as original. I agree with another reviewer - the app isn't as good as the website due to the sounds being not as distinct as they used to be. I liked it better before the last update; for some reason the "classic" mode sounds different than the original. Maybe another update can be done to fix the issue? I used to like rainy mood better than other apps due to the rain/thunder mix and varying volume/speed of rain, but now it sounds more like white noise.

TO CREATORS. plssss release an update where you can control the volume of the rain and so when you open your music in a different app, the rain volume can be changed differently, as well as the music app volume different. That way Aaliyah is not blasting in my ear while I can barely hear the rain 😭 basically being able to manipulate the volume of rain while in the app but once exited out of, the volume can be changed for everything but that

Sandy S. My daughter introduced me to Rainy Mood 8 years ago when I was staying with her in a small apartment. I loved the soothing sounds of a real thunderstorm. Other apps I had heard before always had a loop that would not allow me to rest as well. I had the app on my IPad and didn’t bring it on one of my trips and couldn’t sleep without it. So the next day I loaded it on my phone. So I wouldn’t be without it again! Thank you for Rainy Mood!

No words to describe my love for this app. As an anxiety riddled college student I often have trouble focusing on school work and falling asleep at night. I find music and television too distracting to use as background noise. This app creates the perfect background noise that I need. It's just enough that it drowns out other sounds but not so distracting that I can't get work done or fall asleep. The sounds are relaxing and I love that you can adjust the volume and frequency of each sound. My favorite is the classic rain and thunder. I highly recommend this app to anyone and everyone. I feel that no matter who you are this app will help you in one way or another.

One of the best apps I’ve ever installed. I don’t normally write reviews, I think I can make an exception for one of my favorite apps. If either I or my significant other have trouble sleeping, I just put this on and it knocks us out in minutes. Love it to pieces. The only complaint I have is that it hasn’t been updated in a few years and I’d love to see some improvements like a new soundscape, or making use of the new iOS widget system. Even without those it’s still great.

My most used app!. I swear I nearly have this thing on 24/7. When I go to sleep, when I watch a movie, when I have music on and I’m cleaning the house, reading, etc. I like how you can control each individual sound to better suit your needs! However I do agree with other reviewers, rain hitting a window pane would be wonderful! Other than that, I have 0 complaints.

Great but could be more user friendly. I grew up with the rainy mood website and now that we have an app, it's awesome! I just wish that your be able to adjust the music volume from your background apps as well as the rain just in case you want your music more in the background rather than drowning out the rain sounds! Is this something you could program in? I'll totally give this 5 stars if independent volume control is added. Then it'd truly be like the website I remember! Thank you!!

Average. I'm a bit disappointed. It should be a $0.99 app, not $3. The radio loops after 20 minutes or so without a smooth transition. I find it annoying when I'm working. I was also disappointed that there were only 4 mixed available too. I wish that for this expensive price there was more effort put into it. I think people are better off using a white noise app that has more variety for a similar price. Or better yet, just use their rainy mood website version for free!

Liked it enough to upgrade. Rainy Mood Lite is perfectly usable. I love that there’s no obvious place where the sound stops to loop. The various sounds are appropriate and independently adjustable. I liked it enough to buy the paid app. My one feature request would be for a lock screen widget so that I can stop the sound without reopening the app.

More explination. I really loved the huge update you did recently. I know several people were confused by the new timer and how to use it, but I think removing that option all together was uncalled for. If there had just been a small tutorial that showed all of the features of the newly designed app, then everyone would have found what they were looking for!

I hope the desiPLZ consider enlarging the maximum volume of the raining sound. I have been using this app for a really long time Love it But I really want the designer to consider to enlarge the maximum volume of each session especially the volume of raining. The reason is that I like to have raining and music playing in the same time and when the music is playing the volume of raining is usually too low even if I set it to the maximum volume. It is really affecting my experience using the app!!

Worth it.. This app was recommended to me a couple years ago by a good friend, and I've bought plenty of dumb things over the years, but this isn't one of them. I play this over some nice speakers when I want to get a really refreshing night in. Worth it, especially since it doesn't have any of the nonsense in similar apps.

So natural compare to other apps. I had this app for 4 to 5 years and I play it often when I first have it. Time pass and I had problem with sleeping so I look for app with raining sounds. Many on the market who come with great appearance and a lots of features, but their sound effect wasn't natural. I am glad I had this app. After all those years, it is still the best!

I LOVE this app!. As someone who has trouble sleeping as well as anxiety, I HIGHLY recommend this app. Not only is it nicely immersive in the choices given for classic mode, but you can also choose the ocean, the countryside or a little cafe! And I love having those choices and the control of the different elements of each. I’m so grateful for this app, I really am. When it’s hard to relax and quiet your mind, this is very helpful. My trouble sleeping comes from my chronic pain condition, so this helps me calm down, too. Again, I really recommend this app. I’m so grateful. ❤️👏

Great Sound!!. I work in a medical office and get here a few hours before anyone else in the morning. I do all my admin work in the dark work candles and this app running, no lie! There’s something soothing about soft rain and thunder in the morning. My only complaint is that the app only runs in portrait mode, and not landscape. Seems a silly thing but I use the app on my iPad Pro while it’s standing up with the Smart Keyboard attached and the sound balance is amazing! It would just be nice to see the app rotate is all.

Love it, except the crickets aren’t crickets. The crickets seem more like a dull roar, indistinguishable from anything insect-like. I was hoping to actually hear crickets. Otherwise I love the rain and the thunder sounds they’re very realistic,And likely are actually real. Oddly I’d like to suggest an office background. But not a TOO busy office, a quiet sort of “there’s people here” working, shuffling papers, computers clicking, distant phone ring, single rings, answered quickly, one-sided conversation as in a call center. Reason; I work from home, as a call enter agent, and I often get people asking if I work from home, and I’m not allowed to tell people that I work from home, and I’ve heard my caller say “but it’s so quiet in that office“ (which is actually my hall closet) and I have to say well I just have a good noise canceling headphones. What I’d like to have is a little bit of background noise,So that I can fake the real deal. (and not feel so alone either). The café is way too noisy for this purpose. People would think I’m talking from the break room. Thank you for considering this.

Possibly the most relaxing app ever. This app is totally worth the small price you have to pay to download. It runs in the background so you can leave it and look at other apps while listening to the soothing sounds of rain (as well as customize how the rain sounds in several different ways). If you’re like me and suffer from anxiety, this is an incredibly relaxing background noise to listen to when you’re feeling stressed out. I recommend this app to anyone who loves to listen to rain and loves to relax.

Stick to the free website. The sound quality of the rain is somehow of a poorer quality than that free website. I agree with the rest of the reviews: unless they fix it, I’m going to stick with the free site. Maybe if I had never heard the free site I would have enjoyed it more. If you’re really all about the rain or used rainymood before I don’t suggest you buy it unless you’re dedicated or just want to support the developers.

Best white noise for baby. I’ve used this every night and nap for 14 months. The lightening or chirps of gulls can be customized for different occasions. For example if she’s asleep and I need to clean up downstairs the random strikes or bird calls help to disguise any bumps or thuds she may hear while I’m downstairs. At night when it’s peaceful we just use the waves and rain. It’s perfect for us!

As long as it continues to work I’m happy. This app is no frills but does exactly what you want, which is listening to some rain. It works offline and has no subscription and always works. As long as none of that will change and they keep updating it to maintain iOS compatibility, it is money well spent!

I Love it BUT. Please please please add more varieties of rain like your website. Please. I love this. I really like Rainy Mood. The website has been one of my favorites for many years and I definitely like it during an anxiety attack. For whatever reason I can’t get the website to play anymore with the screen sleeps on my phone so I decided to purchase the app. I don’t buy them often. Now, it’s nice to customize and there are a couple options but I would really like to see some of the rainstorms that the website has on the app. The website is random but it would be wonderful to have those options on the app. I really like some of the ones on the site that are not in the app. Please keep adding options. Montians, forest, tin roofs, etc. Thank You.

Comforting. Sometimes I can’t sleep. Listening to the rain makes lying awake less stressful and boring. There are little noises in the background that I wait for. I ran across this app by chance a while back and have been listening ever since. It is very easy to use especially compared to finding similar items on a music service. Rainy Mood is among the best things I have ever gotten for free.

Excellent Rain Sound Quality. I came across the website almost 10 years ago and I’m happy I’m able to download this as an app on the phone. At work it’s the best when using headphones to drown out noise from cubicles. Also played it during my entire 9 months of pregnancy and loved the relaxation component. The baby loves it too as he falls asleep to it. The sound quality is impressive compared to other apps. You can hear the pitter patter of the rain and it doesn’t sound like white static noise. The transition of the loop is probably it’s best feature. I am satisfied the app has adjustable sound for rain, thunder, and the birds. I also like the simplicity of the app with limited rain sounds. It serves its purpose. 👍🏼

Monsoon magic!. It’s a brilliant app! The one things I missed in California were the Indian monsoons. Love the freedom to customize and choose between where it’s raining and how much rain/thunder etc. The cafe is my favorite setting when I work from home and countryside when I’m just reading or going to bed. It runs alongside anything else you’re doing on the phone/computer. I discovered it in grad school and it’s still perfect:)

Rarely does an app make me want to write a review.... This app is especially great during quarantine as you can simulate what it might be like to be out in a coffee shop reading or doing work. You can adjust whether you want chatter to be at a minimum or a bustling cafe. Same with rain, do you want a particularly thundery night? Or chill slow rain drops? Incredible and worth the dollars!

Great for sleep and study. The ability to adjust individual aspects of the soundscape is fantastic, however it would be appreciated if the sound of traffic in the ‘cafe mood’ were able to be adjusted independently of the patio rain sound. Simple and wonderful app that I use multiple times daily!

Great but Lacking. Hey, I’ve been using this app for years now and although I love it, it always seems to be missing a feature. Would be great to be able to stream through Google Home, Apple TV, Sono Systems Or Bose System. Overall great app just missing a few features.

Love.. But disappointed.. Absolutely love this app! The new update is amazing and I love how you can control what you hear for each sound. However, I'm extremely disappointed they chose to revert back to using the 1 hour time frame. I loved having the ability to choose how long the app ran for and most nights I'd have it running for hours.. I would really encourage the makers to revert it back to having an open clock and the letting users choose how long the app runs for.

When I really need time and rainy mood alone at this hard situation. Right, I know this is the best app I ever paid for. I’m always a pluviophile. When I really want to be alone like at a cafe, do my own stuff, study and work. And it’s not possible to find a quiet and safe place like usual. This freaking pandemics. Trying my best to be make it similar

So Happy. This application has been on my phone for years and years and I noticed it had recently updates itself. The new update is great and makes for a refreshing lot of sounds. It has helped me to sleep on and off since i bought it and I hope this new update will continue to help :)

Costly and very limited. There are multiple free apps that do much more than this $5 app.

Stop the background chatter!. The reason I am writing a review is because I am unable to completely turn off the voices in Rainy Mood – Cafè. Despite unchecking the barista, chatter and patio checkboxes there is still a persistent background chatter with the rain. This is annoying. Please fix this so there is only the rain sound, thank you. Also you could add some extra rain sounds scenarios eg. rain on a window pane, rain on the tin roof. Otherwise a simple and elegant app.

Not worth the price. To begin with, I don't know why but for some reason I can not seem to get the volume changes for the thunder and rain on my app which is extremely frustrating because I don't like the sound of thunder. Secondly it only has one timer and that's for an hour, no in between or anything else. For the price you pay it would be nice to choose your timer and be able to change the volume of my rain and thunder which is annoying that I can't. There are free apps out there with way more features. For the price you're paying for this one it would be nice to have some other features. The one good positive would be that the sound is good quality, but I'd still recommend checking out the free apps first before buying this one.

I love this app but it’s wish it had this. I love this app a-lot its so calming my mum uses it a lot of times throughout the day but i wish we could make our own rainy day or even sunny day or anything. Second i wish we had more options. Third its the best app ever

Couldn't live without it. I love using this app for meditation. The fact that you can play this in the background and then listen to your music as well is superb. 10 stars.

Simple and lovely. I love the clean design of the app, it’s very easy to use and the sounds are very soothing. Thunder makes me uneasy so I really enjoy having the option to turn that specific noise down without compromising the rain noise.

Love it!. Really helps me concentrate and wind down from a long day! One thing is if possible to make the sounds louder or more controllable, I sometimes use it with my music and it gets drowned out... I love the cafe one because it’s the loudest!!

Rainy Days Review. Great app; most enjoyable. Would be nice to have a rainforest; forest and other options. Better integration with music would also be helpful. As an Australian, would also like rain a corrugated iron roof with a thunderstorm. Worth the cost! Thanks..

Useful study aid and relaxer. I loved the website version so I bought the app as well partly in a appreciation. I agree with the general consensus that this is grossly overpriced for what it is. That being said, the app is fantastic for relaxing if have trouble sleep or focusing when studying or working. I've been using the website version for weeks now.

Best. App. Ever.. I've had the Rainy Mood app for a few years now and before that I used to listen to their website. I still to this day, fall asleep to the sounds of rainy mood and recommend it to all my friends. The rain, thunder, crickets sounds are all adjustable, as is the setting in which you hear the rain e.g. Countryside, beach, coffee house and just plain rain. Love love love it!

Awesome job but could be much more!. The app is 100% perfect but it would be great if you updated it with new settings and different variations. It would also be cool if you made a fully custom panel where you could add in any of the samples and combine!

Needs improvement. I love using this app to help get myself to sleep, however I find that I much prefer the website to the app as the sounds are more defined/louder, therefore I can actually hear the rain, as I struggle to hear the rain without putting the volume up too loud. Otherwise overall I throughly enjoy using the app and it has some really good features that enhance the experience.

New version. New version after many years! I really enjoy the new update however I prefer the old bird sounds. I use it to sleep for years and I enjoyed the birds but this one is a bit too noisy for sleeping.

Sweetly soothing. The option of four different rainy 'settings' and variable volume settings for each scene's components make this a versatile and convenient app. The 1-hour sleep timer is also very handy. Love it!

Like home. I’ve had this app for many years now. The nostalgic ocean and rain sounds cure the homesickness when I’m traveling for months at a time

Rainy Mood Review. I love going to sleep with the sound of rain falling and hitting the roof. I set the timer for one hour and I’m off. It blocks out other noises in the neighbourhood so I am I disturbed. If I wake during the night I just set it for another hour and back to sleep I go. I love the peacefulness it evokes.

Best rain app! A must have!. This is a must have if you are a rain lover like me. I have been using rainy mood for years now, since it was just a web page with no app. I listen to it every night while falling asleep, I can’t live without it. I have tried other rain apps and none of them can touch rainy mood. The different types of rain, the sliders, the timer, the nice clean ui. It is truly the best, and well worth the money!

Restful 😌. I have been using this app only a short time, but find it really restful and relaxing. It’s very easy to use, able to adjust sounds to your preference. Really happy with it.

reliable and quality. Have used this app since it was released and it’s my go to when I need to focus on work or study. I think it’s super high quality and well done. The only thing is that the iPad version is portrait mode only so when using the iPad in landscape mode it’s orientated incorrectly. But other than that really love it.

Essential app. Thank you developers for helping me relax and sleep better.

Updated their update by removing a feature of the last update....??. They finally updated the app with a new fully customisable timer, then a week later they patched it out, replacing it with the same original single 1 hour option. Why? Appreciate the new sounds, but I don't get the cafe one. The worst thing about coffee places is the noise. I'd never choose to listen to that.

my go-to for sleeping or relaxing or tinnitus pain. found out abt rainy mood on old school tumblr and haven’t gone back since, you guys did so great w this and thanks, you saved me a lot of sleepless nights and ear pain

Longer sleep timer plz??. I hate silence and I've always used the rainy mood website when studying. Only just bought the app and feel like 1 hour isn't always enough time to fall asleep. If you had it connect with the "Stop Playing" feature in the IPhone's timer I think that would work really well; if that isn't possible then a timer you can set to a specific length of time would be great.

Worth the money. Helps me get to sleep at night and the one hour timer is perfect so I don't keep it on all night. Would be good if you could set the timer for a different amount of time but I'm not complaining.

Works. Very helpful in reliving my stress. After trying the online version it was a no-brainer purchase. Thanks. It would be great if further soundscapes were introduced in updates.

Pretty basic for the cost. There are many free apps that offer the same sounds. This has limited options and not worth the price.

Lovely. Worth it! Even better than the website. Love the countryside crickets, sounds a bit like Australia. The option to turn down the thunder is also really clever.

Great app. I think this is a great app, it is very calming and great for studying, sleeping and relaxing. One improvement I would like is a "storm" feature, with heavy rain, thunder, wind and possibly hail. Also, it would be great if you could adjust how heavy the rain is, not just the volume. Other than this, it is awesome and worth downloading.

Got me through a difficult time!. I was using the lite version whilst suffering from severe vertigo as it was recommended by my doctor. When feeling a bit better I upgraded to the full version just to give a small bit back to the immense amount of help it gave me! My eternal thanks to the developer. P.s it has also been very much loved for bedtime settling by my 5 year old and 10 month old kids.

Rainy Mood. There are better apps out there that have much more features and Don't cost you your weekly rent ..(Pretty cheeky price really!) There are very limited settings and virtually only one timer setting, however the audio quality is pretty good. Stick your Head out the window when it's raining ....it's a better experience.

Best app. Honestly worth paying for! I absolutely love the rain so I knew this would be perfect! I have had this app for a few years now and love it. I struggle getting to sleep at night and this app is perfect for me. I fall asleep easily with it!

Same same, but different.. Seamless and clean; love it. I would love to have more control over sounds however. For example, volume of the rain versus thunder is a little pointless when the different samples come at different levels. Rain on concrete is louder than rain on grass. Close thunder is louder than distant thunder. Perhaps, if I may make a suggestion, change the control parameters from rain and thunder levels, to rain and thunder type. My favorite would be rain on grass and thunder being distant and rolling, so I would set those parameters, but on other days it could be different, or again I could put it on random. Just a thought, but otherwise the quality of the samples far outweighs the small price I paid to hear them. Thanks again.

Happy. I'm really glad you added the different settings/rain types. I love rain but rain on a tin roof or plastic, it's super nostalgic and awesome. And it kinda sucked when it was just one type of rain, I was disappointed when I bought the app and a free one I had was more to my liking. But I love you guys so I'm still happy I got it. I'd love to see more rain styles though, if you can

I like it. I have this app on my ipad and use it every night to get to sleep, I use it on my speakers and through my ipad alike and i find no issue in quality. Four stars because it was more expensive than it really should be.

This app is amazing. I have a really bad flu right now and like I can't walk and every few minutes I start having like break down and I start crying because I get really dizzy and this app help me it calmed my body down I love it

Very helpful not customizable enough. I use this for coping with panic attacks and autistic meltdowns. You should be able to make custom mixes of all the sound, and shut unwanted sounds off entirely, not just make them very quiet. In Rainy Mood Cafe, the rain sound is perfect. The cafe rain is the best because what I need is the sound of rain pounding on a roof, but I can’t use it because the barista, crowd, and traffic noise distresses me even at its quietest. Rainy Mood Ocean does have loud enough rain - I would love loud rain with background waves but the rain can’t get loud enough to balance right. Rainy Mood Classic just has weird background white noise that bugs me. I’m using Rainy Mood Countryside with crickets turned all the way down because it’s the closest to what I need but it’s still not ideal. Please make a Rainy Mood Custom, option silencing unhelpful sounds, and increase the potential volume differential between sounds!

Fireplace. Really love this app I use to use the online version but the app version is much better. Would love it if there was a fireplace or like a great hall, just some warm fire that cracked with a rain on roof background

Love it!. It helps me a lot to concentrate while I do my homework and also really helps with my anxiety. It also creates a perfectly calm environment to sleep easily. I would suggest you add a ocean one (with whale sounds) and a fireplace one😄

Minor flaw. Love the app, but it should pause the sound when Bluetooth headphones disconnect, not switch to phone speaker. Folks were wondering why the lift was suddenly full of bird sounds when I clicked off my headphones. Love it otherwise!

Get to sleep and stay asleep. The countryside setting instantly makes me sleepy. I love it and the sound quality on all of them is incredible. Please please please add a fireplace and I like the idea of preset timers. Being on a train ride could be cool too but fireplace would be #1.

Perfect for a noisy office. We have very poor sound absorption in our office which means that you can hear every conversation, sneeze, cough or toilet flush. Getting white noise throughout would be very expensive. A pair of noise cancelling headphones and this app and I'm able to work in peace. The best part is that it doesn't jam up the wifi.

Great for sleep. This is the absolutely best thing to help me sleep. It makes me feel so cozy and is great white noise if there's anything that I need to drown out. It tends to help keep my puppy asleep, too.

Awesome app! And a feature suggestion!. I set the same timer every night, it would be cool in all that sidebar space if we could have preset times that we can just one-click to turn on instead of having to scroll the wheel and click okay every time. Other then that use it every night helps a lot.

Wowie. This is a great app and although I had to pay it was definitely worth it. I love how everything is adjustable to my preference. It’s also a great tool for sleepless nights all the way to plain background noise.

.. wait that's it?. I would have liked to see the option of changing the volume of my music as an independent slider, most often I use Rainymood as method to relax and sleep and playing music directly from my iPhone in this app is too loud and drowns out the rain sounds instead of complimenting them. There is only one timer option: 1hr. Same functionality as the website. As of now I don't feel it was worth the $5. But if money isn't a factor, and you're looking for a portable option, by all means it does play the sound of rain.

Use almost every night. Started using the rainy mood website around 9 years ago to mix with certain music. About two years ago I discovered there was an app and that it’s perfect to fall asleep to. Love the ability to change all the levels of different sound effects. Would love it even more to see new sound scenarios updated in the app though!

THIS IS AMAZING. I love water and it’s sounds more than anything, including crickets and ocean sounds, this is perfect. But there are two things I dislike 1. The cost- it’s a bit pricey maybe bring it down to 2$ 2. There should be more options- it’d be nice if there were different types of rain and customize your own mixture of sounds.

Every night for bed for 4+ years. This app is amazing. The countryside rain sound has been my night time necessity for 4 years. I cannot recommend it enough— it’s perfect if you need something to create a perfect sleepy atmosphere!

Great for on the go. Ive used the website at home to listen to the rain sounds for years. Now I have the app, so I don't need to use data while napping on the train or crashing on a buddies couch. It works in airplane mode so you can use it while flying as well.

Worth every penny. Always used the site during school to try and rest my mind in between classes or after a long day. Nice to have an app on my phone now for travel or quick naps. Love it and would recommend.

Great app that’s used daily!. I’ve been using the app for some years and I don’t think I’ll stop. My only gripe is that the app doesn’t have volume controls separate from my phone. Sometimes I want the sounds of the rain to be a good bit louder than the music I listen to at night.

I Prefer The Desktop Version. I use both, but prefer the desktop one better. There is a difference in the timbre of the rain & thunder that is a bit more pleasing to my ears on the desktop version. The app is just okay, because of this. It’s not bad, I just find the oldskool desktop version more satisfying. Update: I’ve been trying to use this app more than the desktop version. I can’t. The original desktop version of the rain & and distant thunderstorm by far is the best. All the options that this app offers doesn’t even compare to the desktop version. Why the app doesn’t have the desktop version of the rain & distant thunder? This app will not play over a WiFi connected audio system. Only Bluetooth. Why?

Worth it in my opinion. I’ve been listening to the website for years now. I’m so happy I found the app. It’s been free for years for me, so the $2 or so I had to pay was 100% worth it. Still love using it every night.

Super Easy/ Great Sound. This app is user friendly. It is crazy simple to use. But the best part about it is the sound quality. It is really amazing. All I hear is the storm and rain and the subsequent splashes. I can easily relax to this. It sounds as if I am standing in the middle of a storm, and I love it. NO MUSIC IS A PLUS!!!!!! The only downside is all the rain sounds are full of "air". I want to hear just rain.

If you can’t fall asleep.... Get this app. I moved from the country to a very noisy city and was so confused as to why the trees were no longer screaming at night (frogs and cicadas and all that). I couldn’t sleep at all. I use the country setting on this app now and sleep like a baby. Definitely worth it 👍🏼

Great,. This app is amazing, seriously it really is. The only issue is; the dev rarely updates it. I know you can only update so much for an app that only makes noise, but it'd be nice if there were more choices instead of 4. Maybe a way we can combine a ton of things like crickets and a metal roof noise etc?

Absolutely love it. This app is fantastic. I love listening to the rain while I’m in bed, especially on those mornings when I wake up too early but can’t get back to sleep. It’s so relaxing. I also love listening to the ocean waves while I’m doing yoga. The whole app is so elegantly simple and seamless.

Wayyyy better than old app. Not gonna lie, when I bought this app a couple years ago I was so bummed that the sound quality was so much less than the site. I didn’t touch the app for years and decided to try it again, and I’m so blown away. I didn’t know about the new locations like countryside! I’m in love!

Have had for YEARS 💕💕💕💕. This app is hands down the best app I have ever purchased. It has sea noise, country rain, cafe background noise, and regular rain noise. It’s so relaxing, and you can customize what you hear and how much of it you hear. Definitely a 15 out of 10! ❤️☔️

Calming. This app has improved my sleep. It obscures the sounds of cars in the morning and remarkably the hubs snoring too! I love that you can adjust the ambient sounds with in the app! Going to sleep to rain is calming and Waking to rain is a much more gradual awakening and sound quality is great!!!!

Excellent!. I love the most recent update. RainyMood added a dozen more independently adjustable audio components including café and ocean themed accompaniments to layer with the rain. It's still compatible to overlap with my other music, audiobook, and podcast apps. This app really helps drown out external distractions so I can focus on my work.

Love!!. I’ve had some trouble sleeping but this app does the trick for me. I love that I can set a sleep timer and I’m comfortable knowing my phone won’t be blasting this all night. I do agree with the other reviews though, please add more scenes!!! Especially one with rain hitting the windows or inside of a car.

Must have. I am someone who literally cannot sleep in silence, every little sound wakes me if it’s dead quiet. So when I travel and can’t bring my fan with my rainy days is my saving grace. It creates the perfect amount of sound that is soothing and allows me to drop off into a peaceful and deep sleep.

Great for studying. Currently, I’m studying to the MCAT, so most of my time is spent locked in my room or library. I use the Cafe setting with low chatter and it just feels cozy. It’s like I’m in a nice cafe, really rainy outside, not too many people, barista doing their stuff, a car that passes by once in a while. Really immersive, totally gets me in the studying mood.

10/10 I would recommend.. I absolutely love this app! I have a hard time falling to sleep and staying asleep. Ever since I downloaded this I’ve fallen asleep quicker and stayed asleep. It has a timer on it so just set it and shut your eyes. It has rain on a tin roof which has always been relaxing to me.

Anxiety, Stress, busy college student. I love this app. I have been really struggling with anxiety this semester because I'm about to graduate. After a long day of classes, work, or my internship it really helps me to relax. It's the little things like listening to rain and thunder that brings me back to myself.

Awesome. Honestly a godsend paired with my noise cancelling headphones. My roommates on either side of my room have a tendency of being way too loud and even sometimes blasting music in the middle of the night. I pop my headphones on and have this app going and the noise is almost completely drowned out. Well worth it for sure.

Incredible app. When I look for apps, I look for simple but carefully crafted products. It doesn't need to be complicated. It just needs to function well. This app is exactly that. A very simple, but incredibly fine-tuned ambiance generator. Highly recommend this app.

Love this app! But... This app is amazing! However, I wish that you could turn the music down and still keep the rainy mood app loud. I like music to be the background sound to the rain. Not being able to control volume of music within the context of the app is my only complaint.

Best app ever. I’ve been using this app for years now and it’s absolutely amazing. I use it for sleep and studying. It’s perfect. You could add some sounds tho cause they haven’t changed in a while. Maybe a calm river sound or something. But over all 10/10 app. It’s amazing.

Can’t sleep without it. I’ve conditioned myself to sleep with this app. Been using is for YEARS. First as a website then as an app as soon as they came out with it. Legit can’t be without it and am constantly recommending it to friends, family and clients.

Helps me escape. The authentic, real sounds of the ocean and the rain fall in a forest help relax me and keeps my head clear. I am a college student and a part time worker and this app has helped me keep from building up anxiety. I recommend this app to anyone struggling with anxiety.

Ignore the rest, this is the best.. Seriously, spent the extra money. This has seamless loops that you don’t notice and last 5-10minutes each. It’s impossible to notice repeating clips. Other apps you can hear loops restart, this you don’t. I’ve used them all, and although this has less, it’s 10x better in quality.

Sleep at last ~. I am in love with this app, sleeping through a slow rolling thunderstorm every night is sleep inducing magic. Love how you can manipulate the sounds to highlight your favorite, simply amazing!

Great App!. I have a lot of trouble sleeping. This app has been a great help to me. I like the ocean sounds the best. You can select the kinds of sounds you want. I leave out the seagulls, they’re a little too noisy. I set the timer and I’m asleep before the sounds stop. Give it a try.

Great app for sleeping. Ever since I started using this, my nights have been so much better. You fall asleep quicker and it soothes your mind. I use this every night and it never fails to help give me the sleep I need. Rainy/stormy nights are the best nights. Very much recommended!

Simply the best relaxing app out there!. It’s a simple approach with great sound recordings and it works great what more could you ask for. I’ve used their website for years and this was the very first app I bought when I got a smart phone.

Love. I really love this app and it has absolutely helped me get to sleep. Really the only additional thing I could possibly want from it would be for the sleep timer to default back to the time it was last set at. It's a relatively minor inconvenience so I'd still day the app is perfect.

Far from perfect for a costly sound app. If you are paying for sounds it should be better quality than what you can receive elsewhere. The rain sounds in this app are annoyingly unbalanced, will get very loud for a little while and then die down. Also a very odd whale type sound is heard over and over again in the background. It really should just be rain I'm hearing if I have the other sounds turned off.

I fall asleep to this app every night. Love this app, love the sleep timer. Sometimes I even play the rain sounds in the background of music if it fits (like instrumental stuff or Sigur Ros), or have this in the background at work when I need some noise but nothing distracting. It's just a nice, natural sounding rain, not tinny or canned the way some rain recordings are.

Rainy Mood=Better Sleep Every Night. I really love this app. It has consistently helped me sleep for the past few years now. It's very soothing at night (or whenever), easy to use and is space & energy efficient. I love Rainy Mood and will always use it.

So calming. My husband and I love the sound of the thunder and the rain. We turn it on around 10 PM and we listen to it all night. He keeps me calm especially after a very very long day I am a teacher and when I get home I'm so exhausted I need peace. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

Helps with insomnia and stress.. I fall asleep to this app every night. It's calming and sounds like it's really raining outside. I had originally purchased the app years ago to do homework to, but now I have it on all the time just to soothe every day anxiety as well. Great job.

Peaceful Sounds. I live the sounds of this app. From the moment I first heard it I knew I needed to have it. Had to get the full version. The only feature I would like to see added is support for Airplay 2. Otherwise this is perfect.

24 hour medicine. This app helps me 24 hours a day! It’s playing during sleep, it’s the background music to morning yoga, it keeps going throughout the day for meditation, work, study. I can focus better. It filters out all the chaotic energy while driving. I love it!

Use it nightly. Being a record producer has my ears plagued by Tinnitus. This App has been invaluable at helping mask the constant noise during night’s quiet times. Would like to hear more types of rainfall..but just rain...no added sounds needed...however the turn on/off feature for thunder etc is great..

Amazing app. But could you have more options?. I love this app. I just wish i had more options. Like rain from inside a car or under a porch. I really only listen to the rain and thunder. I don’t use the ocean, country side, or café. I just wish I could have rain from different places. Like a tin roof or normal shingles. Or the inside of a car. Driving or not.

Prefer free app. As mentioned earlier, once I bought the app I was disappointed because the rain is not a distinct sound; it sounds like white noise. I like that you can adjust thunder:rain:birds etc, but I just like the sound of rain, and having heard the free sample am now spoiled. While I believe it is worth the couple dollars spent, I wish the sound effects could be worked on more.

5 Star Rain App. This rain app is the best you can get and we highly recommend it. It is especially soothing for those in parts of the world where there’s not very much rain, like California! If you try it you’ll love it! ⛈

Use this every night for baby. Wonderful white noise app; I really like all of the new options, too (ocean, market,etc.). I use this both in my room and baby's room to block out other household and neighborhood noise and soothe baby. Works great!

Soothing app for the entire family. Our entire family enjoys this app. I am I love with this app. The rain is the most soothing sound to have on at night, to put me to sleep. I let it play all night. Work is less stressful with this on all day!
