I used to play daily. I updated my phone yesterday. Now I can’t play the Word Crack I loved on it. It’s been replaced by a horrible mess of a game that doesn’t appeal at all. Why in the world couldn’t you have left the original game alone and introduced this as a new game? Now I have to decide if I want to update my iPads software and say a permanent goodbye to my favorite game😿 So now if I’m playing someone on new version, I not only don’t know if they’ve used power ups, they may also be taking all the extra time offered. Really skews the game away from using actual skill. Too bad you’ve jacked it up. Offer a choice of original WordCrack or your crappy new WordCrackmix2! Finally had to update my iPad and lost the original version. Seldom play now😢

New version. I usually love this game, but lately it throws me out of a game during a round. Highly frustrating. Does anyone else have this problem? If they can fix this problem it would be good, otherwise I’ll delete the game. I hope it doesn’t’ come to that. That is the only reason I didn’t give the game a five star. Hope you fix the problem.

Horrible Horrible Update. Hate it with a passion. I had paid for no ads on the previous version, now I have ads. All of my coins I had 13,000+ disappeared. The game freezes after each round. It gets stuck on the screen with the cartoon character wearing a crown. I have to exit the app and go back in. Because of that, I lose the ability to see the final results and I can’t rematch. I really think they should ditch this version and go back to the original. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!!!

Was great until version 3.0. This was my favorite game, I played it multiple times a day for years. The new changes just went into effect and it’s terrible. The graphics are childish and headache inducing. I loved how simple the old version graphics were! Also You can’t easily see how many games you’ve got going on. After each round, it just goes to a stupid screen with a king blinking at me. The only way to make it stop and get back to the home page is to close the app and reopen after each round. The power up thing has completely changed. There’s a ton more ads. The whole thing is just dumb now. I guess it’s time for he to find a new game.

Can’t Add Friends. They took away the feature where you could add friends so you could play them anytime. I had over a dozen friends that we played each other regularly. ALL my FRIENDS left and the list is useless. Can’t delete or add to the list. They took away being able to see the puzzle and where each word was when you scrolled through the final list at the end of ea round. That was very helpful. They also took away the final word count. WHY WHY WHY?! I keep hoping they will restore the old features, but obviously they don’t read the reviews or care what their audience wants.

BEST GAME. this is absolutely the best game in the world far as word games go & i just want to say thanks a million for giving us such an awesome word game & for setting it up so perfectly to play or replay if you wish other players. & the big plus...no annoying ads. honestly there is no other word game out there that could even come close to being compared to “word crack”. thanks again guys for your awesome app.

It's fun, but.... I love it! Like the old time game of Boggle. But things I don't like are that in the random challenges, opponents don't always take their turn, so you sit around and wait for them ok take their turn... it's a waste of time! And one time there was never any opponent given. Wasted time! Also, I didn't realize that when I downloaded the app you get a certain about of coins. So on my first few games I was picking 3 power-ups per game, then by game 4 it said 'Purchase more coins?' Duh I didn't know I was spending them lol. Fun, but not sure how long I'll be playing this app.

Lousy customer service/feedback. If you purchase this app, do not lose your password. They offer on the app to email it to you and they don’t. Every time you contact them, they give you a claim number if sorts. They say the matter has been forwarded to their developers but you never hear back again, unless you email them and they give you a new case number with an automated reply. This has been going on for over a month and I have yet to get the email with a way of either retrieving my password or resetting it. Thanks for nothing Etermax!

Great except one thing. I love this game! The only quirk is that It occassionally pits me against myself and I can't seem to remove it. It gives me the option to "reject" the game but it doesn't go away. I started playing a few days ago and I have four "pending" games against myself that I can't remove. Annoying but it doesn't stop me from playing other opponents.

New version is just OK. Basic gameplay didn’t change and is still fun. This is basically Boggle with some additional features. If you like word games, you’ll probably enjoy the gameplay. However, there are some issues in my opinion. Nothing shows you the total number of words you or your opponent found in a round. Old version had this feature. The current version looks like it was designed to appeal to a 5 year old; I’m guessing most people that play the game are adults...5 year olds aren’t good at or probably interested in finding words. Too many opponents just quit and won’t finish a game; it takes 7 days for a game to expire. Players should get a loss and game should expire in 4-5 days in my opinion. Also, a previous opponent can create as many new games with you as they want; there is no way to reject a new game in this case (another good feature lost in new version). This is an extreme example, but I had one annoying player start over 30 games in a week with me.

Timer!!!. The timer on this game is always off the game is suppose to be 2 minutes per round. It’s not. I’ve timed it from 20 seconds to 45. I am an avid player but, it’s so irritating. I don’t need two minutes but, one minute would be nice. This is a continuing problem. I’ve played this game for over a year and I’m getting sick of it. I have also time it on evenings and weekends the timer is even shorter. Fix it!!! PLEASE!!!

Brain Booster. When you need to take a break from whatever you are doing...this is a great way. It makes you think quick and is a perfect way to dust the cobwebs from the underused parts of your brain. I only gave it 4 stars because the letter tiles should, in my opinion, be a little further apart so you don't accidentally touch one and create an unintended word. It would also explain the "power-ups" better/make "at a glance" "power-up" definitions quick and easy to read.

They bricked it. If Etermax were smart, they would restore the original app and release this "update" as the completely different game that it is. The people who like the old Word Crack are an entirely different demographic from the people who might like the new one. Why choose to lose half (or more) of your existing players instead of keeping all of them and also gaining downloads of a separate new app? The March 1, 2020 update completely bricked the app. I get the opening "etermax" screen and then the whole thing abruptly crashes and closes. I'm far from the only unhappy player. Before the update Word Crack had 1,620 reviews and nearly a 5 star average. As of 3/7, there have been 250 new reviews since the update and they're all extremely negative. Some can't open the app at all, but most can, and they all hate it. My husband and I had enjoyed challenging each other in head-to-head rounds for years. Word Crack was one of our go-tos for quality time. The game was straightforward, challenging and lots of fun. From the app's own description of the update and the new screenshots, plus the post-update reviews, the replacement game (I wouldn't call such extensive changes an update) sounds absolutely horrible. If I could even play it. I've deleted and reinstalled many times, including after the 3/5 update, and still nothing. I have almost zero hope that it will return to a function app as enjoyable as the original. I may keep checking periodically, but I won't hold my breath.

Good, almost great!. Can play anytime against friends or random opponents. The only missing feature relates to the ability to use special powers to increase one's score. Win or lose, I like to be on an equal footing and after I play someone who has won because of points racked up through "fire" I simply block them for the future. But I don't know when opponents have used some of the other Powers. This doesn't happen often, but it is something that could be fixed in an update.

I play for fun.. I like this game. It's one of the few I have on my iPad that I actually play. I don't like the extra boost things...I don't understand what each does, or how to use them, so I don't. Problem is, I think some of my opponents DO use them, so it's not a fair play. I personally don't care much about that, but others might. I'd rather the boost things weren't there. But, I play just to have fun...I don't care if I win or lose. This game is fun!

New version is full of nonstop ads. The new version is a mess. The constant ads glitch the game. So at the end of every round you have to watch the ad, then when it finishes, nothing happens. It doesn't return to the active game. So you have to close the game and go back into it. Every time you close the game it seems to forfeit your winnings. I've won multiple rounds and multiple games and have not received any of the coins from winnings that it shows. Also it doesn't show your or the opponent's word count per round anymore...Just who won the round based on the points. With so many power ups available now, it would be nice to see who actually had the most words per round like the old version showed. This version needs a lot of work.

Love this game updated.. It’s simple and I don’t have to spend money. Only thing is some people assume I use power ups and get mad and accuse me of cheating. I think some of them are sore losers. Just because someone beat you doesn’t mean they cheat. I just got forced to go to the new version. I don’t like it as much. It’s not as responsive as the old version.

Power Ups Ruin the Game. The game gives you so many "power ups" that it ruins the game. They provide so many free words/hints that you are forced into spending MOST of the allotted time collecting free words and are only left with about 15-20 seconds to actually play on your own. You have to use them to remain in competition with your opponent. If you passed them up and played the whole game on your own, your opponent could easily win having taken advantage of the power ups. So you choose between 15-20 seconds of actual play or a guaranteed loss. Deleting the app for this reason. I love the game itself and would gladly play again if the power ups were taken out completely.

Good But.... I enjoy Word Crack and play it often. However, I like to play without coins and powers. I usually lose to a random opponent whose score is so high that they had to have used coins. I would love to have an option to play against others who also aren't using coins so I can play on an even playing field. I don't like that players are using various numbers of coins and I don't know what they are using until I see the inflated score at the end.

Revgrl. I generally like the game because it's over fast. However I have found that if I am winning, my opponent frequently just doesn't finish the game. You then have to wait the 7 days for it to disappear. They don't get credited with the loss that way. The rules indicate that when that happens, the last player to play, gets the win. But alas, such is not the case. The game allows these cheats so I deducted 2 stars for failure to follow their own rules.

What did you do???. Where did my word crack game go?? We woke up yesterday to a totally new game which is no where near as fun or satisfying. It did not display our scores or our opponents score or the round. It does not display our words and our opponents words at the end of each round. I’ve been playing this game for years and you’ve ruined it! Please bring back my original game. It also took our coins away which we used as boosters. Word crack 2 mix can not come close to your original game! We are very disappointed !

Word crack. I love this game, but lately, having a lt of problems, it constanly freezes while you are playing and would not let you play. They should fix this issues, because is really frustrating to play like this. I would giv it more stars if they solve these issues. After 3 days and still dont like this game. I don’t know what you did to it. Also it seems to have a mind of its own.. when you are finished with one game, it freezes and you can’t continue to the next game. If you are going to change settings of a game, it is to make it better and more functional, not to do the opposite

Highly enjoyable. Word Crack is enjoyable and addictive, especially if you're inherently competitive. I find it challenging trying to find the lengthier words hidden away within the puzzle. My only qualm is the PowerUps feature of the game. I've noticed that some people use them during gameplay and others don't. While I believe they add an interesting element to the game, it would be fantastic for players to choose before starting each game whether they would like to play a PowerUp-boosted game against an opponent who also uses PowerUps, or be more purist and go the non-PowerUp route. I choose not to use PowerUps, and I've often had to resign games after one or two rounds after I've noticed that the points discrepancy is indicative of the other player using PowerUps. That's my only suggestion to make the game more satisfying. Other than that, this game is definitely worth downloading. Great to play for passing time.

I use to be totally into this game and now it’s not even worth looking at it. THIS NEW “VERSION” stinks!! Very very disappointed. I was an everyday, very competitive player of the pre- “updated” game and then you ruined it! I don’t know why you didn’t just create a new game instead of drastically changing the tried and true one with so many users and great reviews. Why would you do that? Why?? I can’t even sign in with my old user and password. AND, although I for the most part don’t use power ups I still took pride in the almost 16 k in coins I earned that have disappeared! BRING BACK THE OLD GAME!!!

Update to the new version is just as bad. Looks like they updated this again and I don’t know how they did it but it’s even worse!! The rounds screen is smaller. It doesn’t show the coins you’ve won for each round. You still cannot catch the total of each world score because the numbers add up so fast and so tiny and it resets to 0 just as you complete the last letter of the word so you never catch the total. So annoying. Then now when the timer runs out it asks if you want to watch an ad to keep going?? How stupid is that? It’s so childish!! There is so much going on in all the screens it’s so distracting and difficult to play what once was a simple and clear game I used to play every day. I was trying to give the new update a chance but I’m gonna find a new word game.

Word crack 2. Does no longer work in my phone. I’m really angry because I used to play it daily sometimes hourly. I’ve tried to communicate with Etermax but they’re just spending their money and laughing at poor schmucks like me who keep trying and keep spinning our wheels. Anyone else have this problem? At least they could reach out and help me. My game plays once and when it’s time to refresh with a new game it does not go past the instagram ad. Oh well. This is word crack 2 and I’ve refreshed everything except my attitude. Please do SOMETHING ETERMAX.

Latest Update Not So Good. Word crack always worked pretty well and wasn’t prone to the same bugs that made me finally quit playing Trivia Crack. Sadly, with this update to Word Crack 2, the game freezes after I play a round, the UI is confusing and I no longer know where power-ups are or what they do. Having to choose a power up while you’re playing is lame, too. We’ll see, but doesn’t look like I’ll play this much longer either

Horrible Update. My mom and I have been playing Wordcrack for a few years. We have played over 2000 rounds and when they updated to this new, more animated version, we stopped playing. It’s horrible. It’s slow. It freezes as soon as the game ends and you have to completely close the app before you’re allowed to see the remaining games. It’s horrible. There should be a “revert to original” option. I’m only 20 years old and I guarantee the audience of players isn’t much younger or tech savvy. Please fix it.

Just fun. I play this game for fun. I find the opponents and the scoring questionable. I know that I have not been given points for words that I had discovered. Sometimes it feels like maybe I’m playing against the computer because the opponents are mostly winning. I won’t say I get perfect scores but every time I increase the level that I’m playing my opponents scores increase. Win or lose I do enjoy playing.

Not crack, rather a good wine. Mostly a solid game with some seasoned players having completed (10k+) games. While I enjoy the challenge of competition it would be good if the practice "mode" could evolve into "modes" (multiple levels of challenge, with more than a single play board). Playing against a robot based on the above would be a welcome addition as is true with many other board games available. This would also allow users to play offline and further enjoy this word-crazed challenge. ~With age and meticulous attention to detail I believe this good wine can mature into a fine one~

Terrific game with 2 big problems, 1 smaller one. I have given Word Crack 3 stars. Since it is a beguiling, addictive game, why the meh score? First, because the game will NOT change the game board in "practice" mode. I get the same screen, no matter what I do. I even UNinstalled Free Word Crack and signed up for the paid version... Same single screen for practice. Fix this, PLEASE! Second, it is critical that, when you play opponents, you know in advance whether they are using power-ups. It is needlessly discouraging to have a very good round without any help, only to be beaten over and over by people with obviously inflated scores. There needs to be a way that non-power-up users can identify themselves and not be paired with people playing with them (unless they want to). Last, I'm not even sute whether the other player gets the same board as I do. That should be spelled out and verifiable.

Not working. Ever since the first update my game hasn’t worked. One day I played in the morning and then in the afternoon....it updated and I no longer was playing. A black screen with etermax appears then about a second or two it kicks out back to my phone screen. So I’ve played for a couple or so years have a huge amount of coins, game friends wondering hey where are you because I can’t get in! If it was this simple to put this game update out.....seriously how hard is it to figure out this problem that my game isn’t loading at all ever since day 1!! I’m on an iPhone 6+ with the newest update iOS. Get it working!!! Karen

Mix 2 Version is awful!. The old Word Crack was awesome. Looked great, almost never froze, ads didn’t interrupt your games, and was easy to understand and play. Unfortunately the latest version makes playing the game more torture than fun. To start with, the look is EXTREMELY childish and cartoonish. It’s like an extremely tacky toddler carnival on acid. The point system and UI are bonkers, completely different than before. And every single time AFTER EVERY GAME THERE’S AN AD WITH A POINTLESS CARTOON SCREEN THAT FREEZES and you have to exit the app and open it up again to continue playing. I’m seriously crying and missing the first Word Crack!!!

Fun. Really love playing against folks but wish you could have more practice options, right now it is the same board. Boggle is one of my favorite games. This game is just like boggle but I wish you didn't have to hit the check mark to submit the word. In the boggle app you double tap the last letter of the word and it gets submitted. That would be a nice short cut. Also would love to know if your opponent used coins to win. I like playing with out the coins but I always wonder if the person I am playing is using them.

Review of changes. This an interesting game, and most recent changes have improved the game to some degree, but I don’t understand why you have opted to remove the total number of words found in each round. I believe it was better when you indicated the total found as well as the total possible. Change it back to include these and I’ll be very happy!!

New version is terrible - Zero Stars!. i do not like this new version at all. If I could choose zero stars I definitely would!! I hate the new look, sounds, the words, and it does not respond to swiping which is absolutely annoying! One day I was playing the game like usual and the next day after the update it was a completely different game. My friends that I play with still have the old version and their scores are always higher than mine now, and not because I suddenly forgot how to play. It’s because we are challenging each other using two different games. This weird new pirate theme going on makes me feel like I’m 4 years old. Should have left it the old way. I seriously don’t know why they changed the entire thing. They should have just created a Word Crack 4 and left this one alone. I’m very disappointed and am deleting this app.

Love this game! But..... Updated review: since the format of the game was changed, I can no longer play it on any screen but my phone. Which is too small! Why did you make such changes??? Your new version should be called something else ! Why ruin this wonderful game??? Yes, very addictive! But I justify that by remembering it is stimulating my brain. Only complaint is that it doesn't refresh more quickly to get to the next round with your opponents. Love that it doesn't cut you off after certain number of plays ( like Trivia Crack).

5 stars. Update: The game is working again, customer support even replied to my email. Thanks, back to my addiction! Been addicted to this game for the past few years. Now suddenly as of yesterday, the game won’t load. I’ve been using the free version all this time with no issues until yesterday. What’s going on? I still had rounds pending.

No thanks. If I had wanted a different game, I would have looked for one. Instead I was forced from a game that I throughly enjoyed into this kiddie version of a word search. This is not an update but a completely new game. I enjoyed the original game and would dearly love to go back to it. Unfortunately the powers to be have decided that I “don’t need or want it”. I have complained when asked for my opinion and was told “you’ll learn to love it “. Well guess what I don’t love it and will delete it. How you can say you have a four star rating is beyond me. Wake up and realize that you goofed. Hopefully someone else will give us the old game back!!!!

This app is a boggle crime. I love the game boggle and was excited to light upon this app. However my joy quickly changed to frustration due to a couple of key issues: 1. The app closes you out repeatedly and when it does it takes your tokens as though you had played. 2. Their call center was non responsive after repeated requests for assistance 3. If you want to keep enjoying this game you will inevitably need to pay in order to play 4. You can not gain tokens through winning and lose tokens even when you play against yourself. Overall, I wouldn't suggest this app. I have had much better luck with word crack, no cost, no crashing, opportunities to win tokens and no need to pay unless you want to buy the fancy cheats. May the force be with you on your quest for some good word fun!

Word crack2 🤬🤮🥶👎☠️. The redesign of word crack is totally not worth it. I liked the older version, and was going to remove the ads. This new version is a total annoyance. Used to play the older version and enjoyed. This one if it loads, is self annoying, and you can count on it shutting down( crashing) or pausing where there is no way of making the game work. So I am forced to shut down iPad and restarting to be able to do anything. Very disappointed with it and most probably going to be holding finger on app icon and using the delete option, unless they fix it back to old version. Better suggestion, bring back old word crack as it was and make this version 2 for the person who likes it. 2 versions adult and kids. Email when it goes back to original.

Used to be one of my favorite games. I played this game constantly. I liked being able to see the words I didn’t find and where they were on the board so I could improve. I liked the simplicity of the interface. I never used the power ups just plain old boggle game with my UK friend. Now the interface is like something for a three year old. It hangs after every commercial showing a grinning king until I kill and relaunch the app. I can’t play this game any more. * Update - the issue with the game hanging and requiring constant relaunching is fixed! I still miss the removed feature to look at the board but it’s working and I’m getting used to the new interface. Enjoying the game again.

Great game too many ads. Love the game and very addictive, but the number of ads is really ridiculous. Also to X out of an ad does not always work and requires more clicks. Can avoid by paying, but not wanting to do that. Some ads are fine on the free apps, but too many is not cool and eats your data unnecessarily.

Addicting. This game is totally addicting and great if you're a passenger in a car. On long trips, the time flys by!!! I do agree with the other reviews, it would be nice to know, for sure, that you are playing against power ups.... No one is that good, so you know they have to be using them, and often lots of them. Either way, it's still super fun and you do get better and better the more you play. Since it's free, I'm ok with the advertisements, esp because you can skip them after a few seconds.

Went from a pretty good word search game to a steaming pile of sleazy garbage. I’ve played this game for years as an enjoyable, stimulating “time waster” when i have a free moment or am waiting on something, and have logged thousands of enjoyable games. I’m uninstalling after writing this review and not ever thinking about this game again. After installing the recent updates, this game is totally different and is now absolutely awful; it now inserts ads for garbage at every opportunity and added a bunch of pay to win mechanics. Its no longer about finding words - now its about seeing which player can suffer through the most ads. Didn’t find enough words? Just watch some ads to make up for it. I understand that free apps need revenue and to some degree this is how the market works, but the changes are so over-the-top and jarring that it can’t be anything other than a shameless cash-grab by the publisher as they run this game into the ground and squeeze every penny from their userbase using all the worst aspects of today’s mobile game scene. All good things come to an end, and this game’s time has come.

GET RID OF “KEEP GOING”. Ya’ll took a great game & just sucked all the fun out of it & im writing this even after purchasing your new version w out all the annoying & incessant ads. Only reason you have the rating you do is because of the newcomers that dont know any better & half of them arent crazy abt it either. Also its not cool how you force the “keep going” on players that have purchased the no ad version. The 3 free uses should be for us to decide NOT YOU!!! You need to get rid of that crap altogether bcz we’re still choking on the millions of ads you were alrdy shoving dwn our throats we dont need another one. plus it makes the game so unfair that you dont even want to play it anymore. Hell you dnt know if your opponent has plenty of time to watch that crap or not.

Good game. I enjoy playing this game because I am able to select my opponents, generally my mom and dad. It gives us interaction even though we don't get to see each other. I agree with the other reviews that it would be nice to select to play random players similar gameplay. Using power ups are certainly part of the game, but if you play against someone that uses them, and you don't, it can be frustrating.

Pro's & Con's. Very addictive game! Almost perfect actually! Easy to learn how to play. Love the ability to see the stats of your opponent before you actually start the game so you can decide if you want to use your PowerUps or not. Like being able to compare the words you've found VS opponent ~ as well as ALL possible words available for that round. Opportunity areas include: There have been a handful of times that it simply would not accept a word I had found ~ and I KNOW the word was spelled correctly (& verified via dictionary post-game. Two such examples: Stash, Stashes, Stashed and Color. However, it did accept the Old English word(s): Stache (et al) and Colour. Very frustrating ~ especially in the example of Color/Colour because it would have won my game! Grrr! (P.S. It does not allow certain cursewords or certain vulgar words ~ but does allow some). IMHO: If it allows some it should allow them all. Lastly, it does not allow one to use the offered 'Practice' mode; whether using the Free or Paid versions of the App. Overall, it is a very fun game. What happened?. I was playing word crack and just like that it turned into a whole different app. I can’t get my original app. I still have it on my phone but can’t get it back on my iPad. I had like 1500 points all gone. Well if anyone knows what’s going on please let me know. I don’t like the new game. I will simply delete.

No!!! I was tricked!. I wish I never would’ve hit that update button! Where did my awesome word crack go??? 😭☹️ I don’t think I can play this anymore, this new WordCrack2 version is much slower when dragging the letters to create a word which is the whole point of the game! How fast can you find words! Plus it’s all very cartoonish and a bit childish in appearance. I’m so bummed, I’ve played this game religiously for years, before bed, even as a quick escape from my day to day. I understand needing to refresh things, but in my opinion, this is a whole new game vs slight update changes. Super bummed. One more thing, I tried to “redownload” Wordcrack and this scrabble version of a game is now what WordCrack has become. I’m deleting both, what’s so sad is that I’m actually so upset about this lol I need to read a book

Unusable. Have downloaded and redownloaded this game about 4 times now on two devices and it doesn't work. It keeps freezing and I can't even load a game my friend tried to start with me without it crashing. Needs to be updated and fixed.

Even better than trivia crack...!. Only thing that would improve it is trophies like in trivia crack.

Scoring system is wrong. I used to like this game but since the overhaul, the game is so much slower and the scoring can be just plain wrong. I find there are times when I add up my score and the opponents’ and simple arithmetic would indicate the result but it doesn’t add up at all! Please fix up the scoring system!!!

Wordcrack. Gives the old brain a workout!!! Favourite game!

Seriously disappointed. Where has the original Word Crack gone!? It was a fun, simple game. The new version is not user friendly the power ups are not clearly defined and seem to chew into your coins at an alarming rate. Bring back the old version! A good game ruined. Finally forced by an Ios upgrade to upgrade this as well. Absolutely loved the old version but this one ……..it’s slow, doesn’t recognise valid words, is like a child’s version. It didn’t need pretty pictures and graphics over substance. If it had maintained the speed of the old version I may have persevered. So sad. A game I played every day is now gone forever.

Will not load after log in, says error. I got a new iPhone and tried logging in under my fb account and also tried under apple as a new account. After choosing an option in just keeps loading then says error. So frustrating as it was my favourite game!

Not loading either.. Another update. Same pile of buggy crap. Wonder why you can’t rate this hot mess as a zero. Had left five star review as I thought they would fix it. Quite a few updates later, they still haven’t bothered fixing it. So 1 star it is. If you have an iPad, it won’t work. Don’t bother downloading as they obviously do not care about players. Changed for the worse. I used to love this game - played it all the time. The last update was unexpected, and now it won’t open. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and all I get is either a blank screen, or a picture of a head with a crown...but it never moves on to the game.

V 3.0.19 Still broken. March 29 update, v 3.0.19, did not help on iPad with iOS 11.4. There’s still just a purple guy wearing a crown. Background music plays, but the game never loads. We are switching to Boggle With Friends, which may have its flaws, but it works.

NOT happy!. This game changed and it sucks big time! Why change a game that was fantastic the way it was! I had just bought coins then the game was changed to Word Crack 2 and my coins were gone. I’ve emailed them about this 3 weeks ago and still no refund. Etermax, you’re a dreadful company!

Used to be great but is crap now. I played this game daily for a years. I can no longer play with the new update as it doesn’t load. I used to love this game but I guess they didn’t want to keep the loyal players.

Looking for a fix. I’ve been playing the game for at least a couple of years and love it originally on my iPhone 6s and recently on my new iPhone XS since sept. 2019. The game has not been working since the beginning of March 2020 when etermax introduced their new version. After emailing back and forth they decided to tell me the problem was with my phone. Here’s their exact response “We have verified that, since your device is too old, you cannot access to the latest operating system version, and therefore to the last version of the game.” Total rubbish as the latest versions have been downloaded both on the iPhone XS AND MY IPAD PRO. If these are considered old devices then etermax should be going out of business!!!

Used to be 5 star. Would rated update in the negatives if possible. I played this game daily for years. My friend told me about the updated version and I crossed my fingers I wouldn’t get it. But today I joined the group who s app no longer works. From what I can see and heard from the few who have an app that works, it has become a game catered to children. This was the only game on my phone that has been consistently played on my phone over the years and it seriously feels like I just got dumped.

The first time I ope it (after deleting and downloading again) is music with a king’s face. After that, every time I open it I get the music with a black screen. Loved the original ap. Pitiful Support. This was without a doubt my favourite game but can’t even access it any longer from my iPad. It went away overnight, no notice given, and it’s never come back. Repeatedly reported this to their support desk and nothing has changed. It’s unreal to me and many others I’m sure. So sad this game had to go away, you know people get frustrated at this and move onto other games. etermax, what have you gained here, or maybe you need to ask yourself what you have lost.

Give me my old word crack!. There should be some sort of warning when you running updates on your iPad/phone that you are basically downloading an entirely different game. This “update” has ruined this game! The screen is so small, the ads between every round are super annoying and you have to mute each one individually or listen to the ridiculous carnival type music in the background. I would have never run an update if I knew this was the case. Give us the old version!

Worst update ever. What happened to regular word crack?! This update is literally the worst update to any app I have ever used. The app constantly freezes after I finish a round, requiring me to close down the app and restart it over and over again. Not to mention it’s now chock full of ads, I lost thousands of coins, the graphics are horrible, and I can’t see more than half of the current games I was playing before this updated automatically. If I could rate this a 0, I would.

Finding opponents is a challenge. Love playing this game, but it leaves games pending for "finding random opponent" for far too long. I have games that are sitting over 24 hours that I can't play because I have no opponent yet. I find it highly suspicious that there are no people out there playing on random mode. In their other game trivia crack matchups are almost immediate. I just want to play the game.

Nice but the scoring is not clear. You should at least show how my opponent got a higher score since we both got the same words. The fact that my opponent got a higher score is questionable! The only time I could the computed points is when I am the only one who got the word. I recommend that detail scoring of points per word should be transparent for both players who got the same word, this is most helpful and explain why when the other player gets a higher score.

Updated game is horrid!. You took a great game and updated it to something terrible! Why?! Players lost all previous coins that they may have been collecting for months or years! Graphics are childish and not relevant to the game. When you do actually make it thru a distracting round of play, it exits the game and you're stuck on a screen that requires you to clear the game and start over. So annoying. I used to play the game daily and now deleting the app it’s so bad!

Great word game. I love word games, and this one is among the best! The combination of competing against others, with a time limit and with various boosters available to be used (or not) make this game much more interesting than many I have tried. And it's free! Thank you!

Entertaining. I like the game. Suggestions for improvement: make the practice board change every time you play it and keep score so you can try and beat yourself; make an option where you can play with others who do not use any coins to power up.

Chat fix. Love the game and agree about the power ups. I understand it’s how they make money, but notifiers would allow both sides to use them. What’s with the chat feature not being fixed all these months? Also? No help from the help folks. Looks like they want us to pay for that too!

What happened?. Great game that hasn’t functioned for several days. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still get the following message: ‘Can’t load game list... pull down to reload’ 5 stars when it works.

Very Fun game.... The deal with an addiction is to,admit to having a problem......lol.....I started out doing this while undergoing an IV treatment for an illness. One of my nurses told me this would help pass the time. Well it's true....wasn't great at first. I don't use the cheats as I try to think this is close to doing a crossword puzzle without clues...have fun and enjoy.

Somewhat frustrating game. Love this game but it makes it frustrating when trying to keep playing games. It takes to much processing between each game, then it crashes. Please fix this problem. It will make for a much enjoyable game instead of regretting you started playing.

Love boggle. I love this game! What I don’t like are the sore losers. Twice this week this is what happened: I beat someone ( heck, I hadn’t even used power-ups); they proceeded to send me 10 games in a row. It’s obvious this was out of spite! Yassss. Let me start off by saying that word crack is extraordinary! Not only did it help raise many people's vocab, but we had fun doing it! I think the game would be even better if slang words were accepted. For example, the don't accept: lol, bae, tmi, and so on! Other than that, word crack is awesome!

Please fix! New update stinks. Used to love this game but *NOT* happy w/the new update. And judging from the reviews, I’m not alone in this opinion. Where are the points/coins I’d accumulated?? Can I even rotate the board during game play?? And what about using power ups during game play?? Fun, but one suggestion. Fun game, but have always wished that players could tell whether or not power ups were used. It seems unfair to know what you're playing against- someone who is genuinely good at the game without help, or someone who just used three power ups.

Where did regular word crack go?. Yesterday I clicked to play word crack and my game has been updated to some new game that I do not like! I had something like 1500 points and they did not transfer to this game. I had 100 which I think is from the daily bonus. Just erased my points I have been saving is bizarre! I have been playing for years but now I’m uninstalling. Should have gave players the option to keep the original game.

I HATE THE NEW VERSION. The five stars is for the old version. I just tried the new version and I HATE IT. It is too busy, too much to look at. And the ads are annoying. I will probably stop playing which saddens me because I loved this game.

Hate the new update and graphics!!. I LOVED this game. Loved as in past tense. Today there was an update of some kind and now all of my points were wiped clean and it is completely different. I HATE IT now. The cartoon graphics are ridiculous and the game is very different. It also keeps locking up on me so all I see is the little cartoon crowned king (?). Gaming. This is the worst update ever. 😡. I have been playing this game with the same friend for YEARS, several games at a time and can’t even figure out how to play but one with friend. Word CRACK!!!!!. The name explains it all. You wind up addicted to the game. I love it. Expands your mind while you play. Don't change it. I still enjoy the game. It's still a challenge to me. I haven't gotten bored with it like I have with other games. Keep up the good work.

Word Crack review. Fun game with awesome support team. When my game suddenly quit working after several years of playing, I wrote to the support team with no expectation that anything would happen. 24 hours later, it was up and running with no interruption to my game status. I was impressed!

Enjoy, but have suggestions. I agree with the others who enjoy this game (as do I) but would like the option to play against others not using power ups...or those using them. In addition, I would enjoy having the practice screen change at least periodically.

Extremely Addictive. This is one of the most addictive games I've ever played. If blows Boggle out of the water. My only complaint is that I would like to always play a real person and not get stuck playing "random opponent" two thirds of the time. All of those "random opponent" games sit endlessly in my queue...

Fun, but.... This game is quite addictive and fun; however, as a newcomer playing with random players I find that I am frequently matched with some one far above my level. It would also be helpful if the little hint things headed brief description of what they do when you're trying to decide to use one

Update not worth playing. What in the world was the developer thinking when they completely changed the formatting to make it look like a game for a small child?! The original game was great. The update...well, time to find another game. What a shame. This used to be my favorite game. The silly cartoons and layout are just annoying, and I don’t require my word game to tell me that every correct word is “Excellent.” I hope Etermax will consider a reboot of the original.

Dusted. I so wish I had never upgraded. I have no positives about the new 2 version just complaints and comparisons about what I’m now missing. - review of the board I played after the game (so I could look at all the possible words I would never have thought of anyway but at least and I could see how to connect the letters to get there) - comparing scores for the same word (and again, reviewing the board for that game) to try and figure out if I just missed a different letter choice that would have changed my score or or if it was all power up - blocking folks who obviously just want to win instead of play the game - who cares how many coins/points you have if you never use the darn things anyway? - the list goes on and on...

You ruined it and stole my paid version from me. I played the old version thousands of times. Sometimes I’d have 10 games going at once. It was the perfect way to waste time. My fiancee, who is overseas, and I spent countless hours enjoying it. I paid for the ad-free version and had saved amassed upwards of 10,000 coins. The update was not requested and not welcome. Game play changed and game itself suddenly seemed designed to appeal to toddlers. Add to that I no longer have a paid version. We played 3 or 4 times, and the app has been unused since. I believe this is the same company that put out Trivia Crack years ago. That thing turned into a spam generator and was long ago deleted. I hope you all will consider making fun games again, and stop ripping off paying customers.

What happened to the original word crack ????. I keep deleting the app And down loading what looks like word crack but nothing ,’same junk . App is full of advertising. Wish they would have left it alone.

Bring back the old version. My app auto updated to this new version that times out after every single game I play and appears to have many bugs yet to be worked out. And after paying to not have ads in the old version, now I have ads again and would have to pay again to get rid of them. I’ve sent support a message and have not received any response. Play let us go back to the old version!!!

Wordcrack no longer working on IPad. For about a week now, (beginning of July) there has been a new glitch on both mine and my husband’s iPads. The game will not load and continually has the following error message: “Oops! We are sorry. An error has occurred”. I have tried multiple times on both of our iPads to restart and even delete the games and reinstall but nothing is working. Please look into this matter. Thank you!

Fun, but needs more.. I don't feel really entertained anymore; it needs some of Trivia Crack's fun colors and characters, perhaps some different difficulty levels, and definitely some different ways to earn game currency, and things to collect with different currencies. I downloaded because I like word games and I like trivia crack, but it's just an okay word game and it has none of Trivia Crack's qualities.

Addicted. Really like this game and can do it when I have a few minutes. I like the boosters, in that you need to figure out when to use them. Most times I don't, but if I run into someone who is significantly better, I do.

Update very disappointing. Updates are supposed to fix bugs, not change things that didn’t need to be changed. Updated version is very unappealing visually and isn’t as user friendly. At the end of a game it used to tell you your stats compared to the other player and compared to the computer...how many words you got out of how many possible words. It no longer does that. Not happy with the update at all.

Addictive. Needs one minor change.... Love the game and it becomes very challenging when playing an advanced player. However, I'd like to be able to play games without power up capability if I choose. How about the ability to click "yes" or "no" if I want to play against someone without power ups? So sad, but now best option is Ruzzle. It is sad that new version of wordcrack ruins all the pleasure it’s first interface provided. This new one is so heavy handed and gimmicky and less use friendly. For those like me and many here commenting same reaction, I recommend Ruzzle, it is almost as enjoyable as what used to be wordcrack. Same functionality and overall feel. Enjoy Ruzzle and perhaps we will even play against each other there!

Crashes & won’t open since new version came out. I downloaded the updated version with a number two on it this week. The app will no longer open when I click on it it starts to open then the screen goes black. I just downloaded an update which I hoped would fix the problem, but no luck. This app no longer works. I am on the latest iOS version, and I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Fun. Its good fun if you like Boggle style games, doesn't crash from overusing memory, and the game works well. The only glitches I get are when I hit a wrong letter, not being able to undo it, and some ads place off-screen to where I have to guess where the return to game button is.

i want the original version back. i am so disappointed in the new version! why didn’t you keep the old Word Crack and start an entirely different game. The Word Crack is terrible! I wish I could give it no stars! Not only that, but I Had purchased the game so there were no ads and HAD accumulated 14,000 coins. they are gone and I have ads....grrrrr. Why didn’t they just open a new version for those who would like it? They really messed up!

Please, please, bring old Word Crack back. Why would you change something that worked perfectly well, and felt like an intellectual, yet entertaining game? The new version feels like a kids game! Could you just create a kids version with the cartoonish characters and leave the previous one for adults? This version is missing so many of the quality features and professional details of the other one. I really enjoyed playing in the past but I can’t say the same of the new version...

It's really sad this game used to be fun, it was actually one of the very few games over the years that I've had and never deleted, that is until now, when I realized it's not the same game anymore. I forgot about it since the new ios update added the "app library" that sorted my home screen, I just found it in my list of apps and now I'm disappointed it's not the same game I was wanting to play again.. :/
