Good area news coverage. The News-Press app provides good area news content and is easy on the eyes. Recommended.

Frequent lock ups. Locks up frequently. Also often times won't let me access my account due to "not available right now.

Best way to get local news. I appreciate the News-Press in bringing me our local news in an easy to navigate app.

Utilities Reporting. I’ve seen very little reporting on progress and prognosis on bringing each of the utilities back or scope of gas stations open and where.

Won’t let me in. I called and spoke to someone to reset my password I followed her directions and signed in It didn’t let me put in a new password and I can’t read any articles They don’t make it easy Now I probably have to call them again

The best source of local information. I was a paper subscriber for years to the News-Press and when the digital world took over, I stopped. Recently purchased online subscription and am extremely pleased with format and relevant content.

Good news. Sometimes is a problem with other Florida articles

Used to be good…. I’ve been using this app for years, and it used to be good and reliable. Recently, it has been logging me out, and refusing to allow me to log back in. I know this is a problem specific to the app, because I can still go to the website on a pc without a problem.

I don’t know about the app but…. The News Press is garbage. Not just because they’re completely left leaning. No, they also overcharge your account and give terrible customer service. Also missed plenty of deliveries

News-press mobile app. I am unable to log into my account using mobile app. Works fine on browser but not on mobile app. Spent half an hour with technical support to no avail. She finally said well you have it on the browser. Try the app later and I’m sure it will work. Very frustrated.

Best news source for what is happening locally’. I can catch up on what is going on every morning very informative

App. The app has changed directions that it will open up a page. It used to be landscape which made easier to read & adjust. Now it’s portrait- the print is smaller & it doesn’t expand as easily. Maybe I’m missing something. Help!

Review. Please make an effort to update the Real Estate section more frequently. The same top story has been there since May 25th. Surely some other event or news worthy article could be found to replace it!

Pop up adds. First you took off the print edition from my l-pad and I want it back Then you give me e-newspaper and the adds give me back or tell me what to do to get the print edition back

Great way to read paper. App seems to work well and is quick and responsive. Sometimes I end up opening an article when I am trying to move to next page, but otherwise works well. Ads that must be closed at beginning of each section are slightly annoying, but can be closed quickly.

Best news source in the Fort Meyers area!. Best news source for the most in-depth and up-to-date events in Fort Meyers. I live in the Central Florida but have family in Southwest Florida. This App provides me the ability to keep up with weather and events happening in SW Florida.

Outstanding. Aside from a smooth-operating app, the News-Press provides exceptional local, regional, and state news coverage plus national and world news. Great journalists using terrific technology.

It thinks I’m not a subscriber. I enjoy readingThe News Press and USA today. My frustration is with the app. I can’t tell you the number of times that I have been signed in to my paid subscription and it gives me a screen that asks me to subscribe. I actually canceled my subscription a couple of months ago and eventually renewed it because I really wanted access to the stories. Now again, the app is asking me to subscribe! And not letting me read the article!!!!!!

The News-Press. Great newspaper! Love the in-depth coverage of Ian impact and personal stories. Reporters go to great lengths to be on site and talk in person to people on the ground. Really appreciate access to this paper in so many different ways. Thanks, News-Press!

All the news I want. The News-Press is the first thing I read in the morning. I can skim articles that I don’t want to read and read articles that grab my attention. Always love to read “letters to the editor”.

Great local news. Old school journalism. Facts & solid information. No opinions, no wokeism.

Poor online access. I subscribe to the print version of the app but can’t access the online version while traveling. That makes it rather worthless.

Expensive not free. The app gives you alerts to stories. When you click to read it wants you to subscribe for $7.99 a month! You get a few free stories (3-5) to read then it blocks it and asks you to subscribe. Don’t bother downloading. You could get a real paper delivered to your door for that much.

May have to drop subscription. Since your recent upgrade, the paper is nearly unreadable. In addition to a number of quirky issues detracting from reading enjoyment, the last 2 days, I have not had access to the News Press itself. Today the index screen froze and the system is not usable at all. I have yet to receive any response to a complaint sent a week ago.

Delivery issue. Am a weekly subscriber - 7 days a week and lastly at least 1 day a week I have not been getting my paper delivered. Called customer service was told you have shortage of paper to print daily pAper!! I have not heard of paper shortage in USA! Also the recorded messages are unable to process my request when I call to tell them the delivery issue- very frustrating! I don’t think am going to renew my subscription when it expires- the news press!

Easy to read and keep up. Nice clean interface keeps me up to date with the local news with no nonsense.

Doesn’t recognize subscription. Even though I follow instructions provided. Signing out and then back in through FB seems at first to work—the app displays my name in a greeting. But when I click through to an article I hit the paywall. Restore Purchase button hangs the app. Never had a problem with any of this until the latest major IOS release. I have contacted support several times and never heard back. Perhaps this will get their attention

Support local journalism! But please respect testers’ desires. Love the app, and love the News-Press for publishing hard-hitting news and enterprise journalism for a local audience. I only wish you would respect readers’ request to opt out of different news alerts. I have Sports Alerts turned off for a reason. I don’t want to know about sports updates. It’s different when it’s a huge breaking news story, but listicles and other things of the like (i.e. “Top things to watch at Florida v bla bla”) shouldn’t be pushed to readers via notifications who specifically opted out of that in their settings (namely, me, and others in my situation). You gave us the option, so thank you, but please stick to it and be mindful when crafting the push alerts. Thanks again for all your hard work.

Difficult to navigate. Difficult to navigate - instructions confusing

Keeps me in touch with Fort Myers. How else could I know what’s going on around me! Informative and useful and entertaining! What else can I ask for? It’s like having everything served on a Silver Platter!

Customer Service and Tech Support bait and switch. We are consistently disconnected from News Press customer support and technical support mid sentence. Usernames and passwords do not work regularly. We were baited and switched when offered a bundled subscription for the News Press and Indy Star for $1 for first 6 months and $9.99 per month thereafter. We were disconnected and then called back and customer support said they don’t bundle and only had access to the News Press.

It’s an adjustment. I switched to digital due to the amount of paper waste I was contributing to. In addition, some weekdays the print copy was scant. While I’m not navigating it as well as I had hoped, I’m working at it. I do feel better about not adding to the garbage pile

Size of page. I used to open to the front page and it was full screen. Doesn’t do that anymore. The size was perfect for vision impaired people like me.

Great app. Very pleased with the News Press app. Great getting updates especially away from Ft. Myers.

All digital access. All digital access is problematic on the first two days of purchase. When speaking to customer rep, apparently there is some delay.. What is up with that? My iTunes acct has already been charged but the all digital access is not available and the News Press has none of my acct information. Disappointed

Works for me. This app works great for my needs. I have always liked the paper. But the paper waste of the daily paper is crazy, even the Sunday alone. Less waste is good and I have adapted!

Could be better. Hate that my email and password don’t populate like EVERY OTHER APP that I use.

Charged erroneously. Can’t contact anyone. I signed up for a special offer but was charged full price. I would like a refund, but cannot contact anyone. Help!

I love it. I love it for one big reason, when I get a notification of a news article, the notification will take me to it if I ask for it. Unlike Fox for example, you get the notification and have hunt for it and sometimes it's not to be found. Good work folks.

Terrible. This may be the worst app ever. Certainly will not continue my subscription after the month expires

Current subscriber but cannot get content. I subscribed, my account says I have access, but when I attempt to open an article the app tells me I need to subscribe to get content.

News Press App. Countless times of having to sign back in and greatest percentage of time it is telling me my email or password is incorrect.

Works well on some devices. Fairly well suited for iPhone. Crashes frequently on kindle. Sometimes crawls. Frequent ads that are difficult to close on video content but reasonably placed ads elsewhere. Mysterious selection of content (some stories never seem to hit the app) as related to the print edition, but overall a reasonable replacement for it.

horrible. i subscribe to 4 newspapers and Gannet’s interface is the worst BY FAR. The app forces me to sign in at least twice per session, a lengthy process that occasionally fails to work at all. I’m at the point of canceling my subscription since accessing the content i’m paying for is such a hassle.

Best way to stay engaged in SW Florida. Found everything from business, education, nature, things to do, places to eat, politics, traffic need to knows and so much more. Looking forward to staying up on my town with this easy to use app.

Stinks. App does not work

Reliable. I think overall the app is really good. I like being able to read articles right away – rather than wait for paper. I do receive delivery twice a week of the paper at home – which is less reliable!

Love the updates messages. Great way to stay up on the news in Ft myers area. I have the app set to send breaking news updates as they are made available.

Up to Date Info. I think the best thing about this app is the feature where they notify you immediately of any breaking news or headlines. You then have the option of going to the website to find out more when it is convenient for you.

Me. People it did say in the app that u need to have a subscription to the News-Press which I do. I also set up the subscription so I can read it online as well. Since I have both, I think this app is wonderful. It keeps ya updated on what's happening around town, local high school sports, etc. it's a great app

Love Versatility!. I enjoy reading the paper every morning and doing the puzzles. However, I also like my digital connection. No matter where I am, I'm up to date! Love my News Press.

Guaranteed Fish Wrapper. Missing women. Drug dealers and shootings. This poor excuse for a newspaper blocks the stories so we can’t help victims by knowing the facts. Absolute trash and all about the money

Great sharing function - works great!. I like how well it works on both the iPhone and iPad. Keeps me informed and the push alerts work great. I also like the share functions for one step posting on Facebook and Twitter.

Nice app. Easy to navigate and visually appealing. Could use more news categories like the website (education?) and the ability to view comments on the articles and make comments via the app.

This is ridiculous. First thing one learns when opening this app is that you must have a subscription to the newspaper, but there's no way to set up a subscription in the app. You folks don't seem to understand online marketing. Also, if you want to sell subscriptions on line you should be listed on Apples's newsstand section. Please get with the program so I can get the news.

Excellent collection on news stories on the App Version. My wife and I are annual, season-long snow birders and the app enables us to have a sense of connection to the community while we are up north as well as when we are in Ft Myers Beach for the winter.

Dependable. We like getting up and having the print version waiting for us in the driveway. I mostly read the online version, but my husband loves the print version. I appreciate reading updates throughout the day online.

The Best User Experience in Local News. I follow local business news very frequently and this has become my go-to way to be on the cutting edge of some the cool things happening in SWFL! Great UX!

Terrible app. The NewsPress content repeats itself over and over. Only 1 or 2 new stories a day. Same old stories over and over. Not worth the money.

Timely and important. I only get the paper 2 times a week and check twitter periodically during the day for the national news. This app lets me know the local news immediately.

Helpful to me. I get the paper at home, but I am often not at home to read it. So this is helpful when I am away from home, or just haven't yet had time to wade through the paper copy. I also like the opinion page and breadth of coverage.
