Best yet. I’m 62 years old and have read many translations, used many concordances, read many reflections and this Bible is the best, without a doubt. Insightful and thorough, connecting the dots like no other. I strongly recommend using this Bible as everyone’s “go to” Bible. You won’t be sorry.

Best bible study. I especially like the ability to corroborate verse with other scriptures ans read fine footnotes without losing yout place. This app allows you to listen to the NT with a timer. Just an all around perfect study guide with all the bells and whistles!

Not user Friendly. Every click requires you to buy something. Not useful for learning the Bible.

Good, but issues.. One of the few apps I’ve found with good study bible integration. However, after purchasing the full study bible, clicking on various notes seems to randomly navigate me through the current chapters, losing my place. Additionally, whoever you load a note, the note opens, then it immediately reloads into a different font each time. If these issues didn’t occur it would be fantastic.

Bible at my fingertips. With all of the negative things that we have on my iPhone these days Ignatius Press and Augustine Institute have provided me with the Living Word of God anywhere anytime at my fingertips. WOW

Opening my heart to the Lord. This application is a great help to me. It is easy to use and navigate. The hyper links open a window to connecting Old and New Testament passages and thoughts. When used with my bible and the daily readings, I am better equipped to understand the Word and comprehend Salvation history. This app is a boy. Michael A Cruz San Jose, CA

Date error. Why is the date for daily readings incorrect? Deleted and reloaded the app. No help.

Latest Update?. I love this app, but not thrilled with the latest update. The phone screen is too small to have 2 columns of text. Also it’s off-centered on the iPhone X screen, so some of the text gets cut off. Any hands you’ll change it back to a single column of text?

awesome. I am visually impaired and therefore have a difficult time reading. This gospel and dad’s audio ability is a lifesaver for me.

Ignatius Press Bible App. Please update! I love this app! I have many purchased talks and love them all.

Finally I found the RSV-CE!. Great app Highly recommend it especially for Catholics.

Love this app!! Game changer. This easy to use and convenient app helps me stay on task with my faith… love the footnotes and ways to bookmark readings. I have been using it for years now and cannot imagine my life without it!

Audio Shutdown. The new update stops the audio when the phone goes to sleep. Please fix this ann no d restore it to play when the phone is sleep.

It's not free. I can't have access to some books in the Bible unless I pay for😕

Easy!. This app makes it very easy to follow whatever books and verses in the Bible that are important to the reader.

Support not helpful. I paid for the audio downloads. I am only able to playback one of the gospels. I have asked support for help. The one person who replied has not been helpful and then stopped answering my emails for assistance.

Lighthouse Catholic Media. A powerful evangelization tool to allow the Holy Spirit to reach the hearts of all those who are exposed to this application. I would like to add something later when I have more time.

Audio with study Bible good but broken. The study Bible is excellent. The audio is good as well. There's a long standing very annoying bug that causes the app to scroll to verse 1 of the chapter when looking up an exegetical note.

Great study bible!!. Great app to read and study Gods word! Highly recommend it. Also check out the content you can read and listen to.

Audio needed for Old Testament. I don’t like that the New Testament audio skips words that I’m reading like, “then he said.” Also we need an audio for the Old Testament. And not those computer voices either because it sounds so off and words are not pronounced properly. Homely you can get this done soon.

GREAT APP!. It’s wonderful to have instant access to both the Old and New Testament. Being able to listen to the New Testament fills time nicely when driving. I also enjoy the Daily Readings!

Ignatius study bible. I am very happy with this bible. I am able to highlight, take notes etc. The study notes within the text are wonderful. And it is the RSV version.

Great content, needs polishing. The ‘unread’ bubble on the top right corner of the Related Content tab does not go away no matter how much I click through the content. The number will change but often settles on the number 6. This can be distracting. Otherwise, general menu UI needs polishing. Some of the boxes you click on when navigating the app look clunky and makes things feel not so smooth. Polish that UI!

Love. Love the app and the audio bible just wish the Old Testament was in the audio part as well

Great bible app. Love the app and the dramatized voice ever feels like your there, the only thing I think would make it 120x better is the header and footer box Blue color, it’s very bright and annoying to look at when you are reading on the app, maybe if there was an option to change the color or just make it white or full screen text would be amazing

Great resource!. What a great resource for bible study. So easy to find the verse you want quickly and easy to refer to earlier verses or continue your reading.

Crashes. I love the app when it works but now it won’t open & crashes. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled numerous times. It will work one after reinstalling then problems start again. I’ve spent a lot of money to purchase audio content and not able to access it. Initially would have given app 4-5 stars but just very disappointed now.

Study bible not free. I think this is disingenuous. The Ignatius Study bible is not free. It costs $20 extra.

I like everything about this app except…. I’ve used this app for awhile now and really like the layout, content, and all except whenever I listen to an audio program, I can’t see no “time duration” timeline indicating where I am on the listening program or if how many minutes are left to listen to. Would it be possible to add in a time line duration indication where I am when listening??

Everything I need. This Bible app has it all. It uses the RSV-CE version, which is used by many Bible scholars. The ever-increasing explanations in both the New and Old Testaments are quite enlightening. The audio of the New Testament that is dramatically read is an amazing bonus. And lastly the ability to use tags, highlights, and notations on verses and access them so easily makes this my go to app that I use every day during prayer. An amazing resource for spiritual growth!

Catholic Study Bible App. This is a most valuable resource for any Catholic. The breathed Word of God at the touch of your finger tip. It is a daily blessing to have this available to me. I can share, instruct, study and be enlightened so easily at any given time of the day or night. I highly recommend this app to anyone who is pursuing a closer walk with God.

Life Changing. I use this app all the time for apologetics. The highlighting, notes, and quick reference are wonderful for those of us who do not have books and chapters memorized. The only issue, that I have had in the past, is that if your phone crashes, or you get a new one, you lose all your saved notes, highlights, etc. Hopefully this has been fixed. I highly recommend this app for everybody who wants to learn Scripture and use it when challenged someone who does not understand our beautiful faith.

Audio Old Testament Please. I love this Catholic Bible app. I would give it 5 stars if it had audio for the Old Testament, but awesome app still. Hopefully, an audio Old Testament will come out soon. I’m most unfamiliar with the Old Testament and i find it more difficult to just open up and read the Old Testament. However, i really want to hear and know the stories at the same time. I feel like if there was audio for it, it would help a lot, even if it is not dramatized. That way I can just easily play and hear the stories in the background. I also just don't want to have to download a non-Catholic Bible app just to hear the Old Testament in audio which would take up extra space on my phone 😄 But, I love the app so far!

Great Bible...but. The bookmarking feature has been broken in my app for a while now. They just disappear.

Last Update?. Always loved this app but since the last update, the app will open up and then immediately close. Uninstalled the app and then reinstalled hoping that would fix the issue but it didn’t. Have them same issue. Hope you all are able to fix this soon. Thanks.

Audio Bible NT. I love this artfully directed audio New Testament. How long will we have to wait for the Old Testament?

Not your ordinary Bible App. It’s a Life saver.. I can’t begin to thank you what a blessing this has been in my life. There is so much content to unpack here for any devout Catholic to learn scripture and the teachings of the church. It has Study guides, St. Ignatius notes, references to specific sections in the Catechism, Topical Essays, you can save and share favorite quotes with ease. But the notes have been the most helpful. I frequently utilize them and go to the CCC section it mentions. This Bible app is especially perfect for Catholic Bible studies and Catholic High school and College students. Keep up the good work. Great Bible app however.... I paid the $20 for what I thought was the full app. I only got the the Gospel of John read out loud. Do I need to pay $20 for each book of the New Testament?

Good but sad. This is a great app but it’s sad that we have to purchase certain things just to learn or understand what you want to know. The Bible is something sacred and you shouldn’t have to pay just to learn and have a deeper understanding of your religion and things as such

The Best Bible App! And it’s genuinly Catholic.. You can highlight in various colors, add notes, bookmark, search by word or chapter and verse, find previous searches you made, has daily mass readings, and more! I have tried many bible apps and this is the best! I have come across other bible apps that claim to be Catholic(Verbum) but have protestant content that deny the Eucharist and other Catholic doctrine. In content section choose Ignatious Study bible which has the best catholic footnotes and commentary!

Loading issues. I installed, removed and reinstalled this app a number of times. Frequent problem with the Scripture content not being available.

Thanks for a great app. I found this app many years ago. I journal, take notes writing articles and find this app a place to store all of my notes and thoughts. A few years ago I had to reset my tablet and when I did, I thought I had lost everything but after about a day it all came back. When God speaks to you and you keep a journal, it is good to see a pattern of how he is calling you in the journey. I recommend this for beginner and anyone doing biblical studies who wants to retain their thoughts and notes for a long period of time.

Was my go to bible app. I have spent over hundred dollars on all the recordings and studies, but once I got a new iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 11.3, all it does is crash upon opening and is totally unusable. I know others have the same problem. Please fix and I will put my rating to a 5.

Love having the Bible read to me. The audio feature makes this app Version of the Bible superior to others. I love it!

A joy to use. The audio bible and downloadable recordings have been fantastic, so easy to use in my car during my daily commute. The recent interface update has made this app even more enjoyable to use. Good stuff.

Catholic Bible. Easy to read and understand.

Great but very slow to download. Very slow download then stops downloading in the middle of it. I have to keep restarting! I only listened to 3 out of 38 since these are the only ones I can download. We have a fast Internet connection, so I not sure where the problem is.

Excellent Lighthouse Bible App. The Lighthouse Bible App is excellent. It is very easy to use and so easy to check reference notes. There are several useful articles that cover some topics in greater detail. The audio for the New Testament is the best that I have heard. Great Bible!. Love it, it really helps with my understanding of the faith.I just wish the notes came with it but it is a lovely bible and I’ll get around to purchasing the notes and commentaries at some point. I have the paperback version but this is way more convenient to carry around. I’ll be glad to have Scott Hahn’s biblical commentaries at my finger tips.

A few personal issues. I use the app in the car with iPhone.The app will come on and the audio reading wiIl start as soon as I start my audio system in my vehicle, even when I didn’t select it to play. The program takes over the audio Bluetooth connection and I am not sure how to control it, so I deleted the app. I also don’t like the dramatization of the audio reading. I rather have objective thoughts than emotional directed feelings because of the dramatization.

Great to use with “The Bible in a Year” podcast. I’ve been using this with “Th Bible in a Year” since it’s the same version. The underlined notes are really helpful.

Needlessly complex. As a Catholic, I tried your app, but tapping the Bible icon takes me to the daily readings and not the whole Bible. While I appreciate having the daily readings close to hand, I am also reading through the Bible. As your app does not seem to allow this despite appearances I have deleted it and used another. You need to supply some short guide to the various icons.

Excellent - EXCEPT.... After using this app for a year it is easy for everday reading of the Liturgy. However it seems you can never access references or underlined clauses because there is always a "Purchase required". Can't you make more of these available? Verbum is much better for Bible STUDY.

More concerned with selling than ease of use. Unfortunately, the update made the bible even more difficult to navigate than before. The buttons are smaller and closer together and the shopping cart is right between them, all of which makes accidental clicking more likely. Worse, the red "buy me" badge on the logo intrudes into the reading area. I guess it's better to cover up the word of God than the company logo. Overall, this is a step backward in usability.

Beats Ebook Versions. I have the Ignatius Study NT in both the Kindle version and Nook, and while I like both of those well enough, this app beats them cold. It's much easier in this app version to explore parallel verses, to trace allusions and to take advantage of the many essays and word studies and then to return to your starting point. The free download includes the commentary on The Gospel of John, but you will want to buy the complete commentary. Well worth it.

The best audio Bible yet!. I love the audio Bible, The voice of the person speaking keeps you engaged with the Scriptures. I also like the extra contents of the app. My only reason for not giving it this App five stars, is that for the price of the app it would've been great to have the audio for both The Old Testament and the New Testament. AWESOME!. I've been using Lighthouse Catholic Media website to download Catholic mp3's or buy their CD's. I've listen to over 30 of them and they're fantastic! Now you can download the talks right to you iPhone thru this app. Listen anytime! In the car, on a walk, listen and learn your Catholic faith with excellent speakers. Plus, there are freebies all ready to listen to. The Bible is also amazing with easy use and bookmarking. I paid extra for the footnotes and they're worth every penny!! Explains the typology by referencing other books and verses. I can't say enough about this app!

Love it but. I really like the app. Lots of features. I love the Bible and look forward to downloading the whole thing. The audio player is not so user friendly (sole reason for taking away a star). I am used to the Podcast and its controls. This one has no rewind function and will pause it temporarily but will then go to the beginning. If you could make it just like the podcasts on my iPhone I would truly be in love. It would make this app go from excellent to amazing.

Great App. This is a great application. Provides access to a lot of Lighthouse media and the audio Bible is outstanding. I only wish, like other apps, that you can listed to the audio when the screen times out--it just dies out and you have to open the screen again. For long flights you don't want to burn batteries for a screen you are not looking at--so perhaps you can fix that feature so the app continues playing when the screen goes into savings mode.

Excellent. Great app. Really useful. I would have had a lower star rating recently, but the last round of bug fixes has solved every issue that bothered me. The one-touch daily Mass readings are really great to have. It's a simple enough thing, but this is just so uncompromisingly convenient that it makes the difference between following the readings every day, or not. At least for me. Worth downloading the app for that feature alone. My one request- there seem to be new Lighthouse talks out there that are not available in-app yet. I spend a long time in the car, and I have spent an embarrassing amount on these downloads, and I'm just saying... if the new ones were made available, I would end up dropping more money here. I know I can order CDs and podcasts and such, but the app is the most convenient medium for me to listen to them. Anyway, great job with this, everyone involved. Highly recommended.

One problem. I cannot log into my account from the app. It says that a verification email has been sent, but I have yet to receive one after several tries.

Such a blessing!. This Bible has made reading daily scriptures really easy .The layout and search features have really enhanced my Bible study and encouraged me to read more deeply than I ever would have with my paper back.

Great app!. My daughter have reading through this Bible together. I can't believe I've gotten a 7 year old through 3 of the 4 Gospels already! Well worth it. There is more than enough content with greater depth to satisfy an adult in the full version as well.

No audio!. This bible looks great and the most important thing is that it has a table of contents, but unfortunately there is no audio although they mentioned that there should be audio. Please add it and I'll give it 5 stars.

There is premium content you can buy, but there is enough FREE materials to keep you occupied for quite a while!

Best Catholic Bible App in the App Store. I use this app everyday! Really easy to search for verses in the bible. Audio bible follows along the verses so you can read along is the audio is played. Paid for both the full New Testament audio and the related Ignatius Catholic study commentary. Worth every penny for those who want to learn the bible. Wonderful, Deep, Study Bible. As a former Evangelical, this study Bible helped me convert to the Catholic Faith. God's Word is amazing and life giving. Thank you, Dr. Scott Hahn, for such a thorough commentary. I believe Mother Mary lead me home! Praise God for His Church!

Best catholic bible app ever. This is a fantastic study aid and great for supplementing prayer. Along with a super easy to use scripture search, there are the daily missal readings as well. I love this app!

Too much chrome. RSV translation, approved by US bishops. No problem There. However, in the text view there's still an ugly toolbar visible at the top and bottom that don't get out of the way.

Great Start. I love the ability to download to my mobile device. Audio player needs ability to show time/location and to bookmark. Also users should have ability to show what they have listened to and what they haven't as its had to tell if you download all the free content. It would also be nice to play without downloading.

Catholic Bibles. Am grateful for the free Catholic bibles (Ignatius and RSVCE). App works well, bookmarks etc can sync across iPad and iPhone. Would be great if there could be some way to set up the syncing to be automatic.

Interesing but needs a few upgrades. by Theophilus The app is realy promising, yet it shows some limitations. Great free features as a RSV-CE, no notes though, 1audio free book for John, some of Scott's Hahn free podcasts, and maybee something else I might be forgetting. But it really makes you wonder. Why are we Catholics so money prone? If you want to get what other apps offer free, you will have to pay a real bundle. Adding two by two dollars for any new addon you can sum what they expect to gain from you. An example sufice, if wou want to buy Mark's Gospel audio you will have to pay 20 bucks for the whole NT. If this app is some sort of apostolate why not break that down. Did Pope Benedict wrote a Forward for this app. Don't think so. Why do they thank the Vatican publishing house for the use of the so called forward? Don't get it. Buy the way I love Latin, and there is a univeral Bible app called Biblium. It has the NeoVulgata text, for which the Vatican holds the copyright. And a magnificent audio for the whole New Testament. Obviously Catholic content. And It is free without adds.

Best Bible I have found!. Incredibly easy to use. Packed with information. The audio is amazing! The children and I listened, spellbound, to the Gospel. And the read along as the highlighting moves with the voices. Worth every penny!

Just a vessel. This is a well-designed app, but it's pretty much a pig in a poke. The content is not complete, and the app is almost entirely a vehicle for selling recordings from Lighthouse Catholic Media. Good stuff, but what kind of Bible app is it if it doesn't have a complete Bible in it? (You have to buy it.) So five stars for app development, one star for lack of content and misleading name.

Great app for in depth study. I love this app. I downloaded it for the talks and love the audio version of the scripture. My only critique is I wish they had a 30 second/1 minute rewind button to quickly go back over what was just said in the talks.

Best Catholic App. I use this everyday for scripture reading and the hundreds of audio books have changed my life and brought my family and I closer to God. LOVE this app!!!

Not downloading. I think this is a great app, and one that I've been wanting for a while, but there are some problems. For one, I cannot delete the CD covers from "My Talks", only the talk itself. Also, I purchased Fr. Calloway's "No Turning Back" for $1.99 and it will not download. I can download the preview, but not the entire talk. PLEASE FIX SOON.

Awesome App!. Love both the translation and the interface. Great to be able to save your place in the reading. RSV-2CE is the best modern English Catholic Bible on the market. Only suggestion I would have is allow color change on the footnote/Study Bible linked text - it disappears when I switch to black screen/white text (it remains black).

The Best!. I use this at least 3-5 times a week in study, discussion, reference, etc., and it's the BEST Bible app I've ever used, including "non-Catholic" apps. I've been able to construct notes, highlights, and categorical citations with ease, and I am able to pull up verses related to content I need in seconds! Great App, and a great user interface!

Great Bible App. This Catholic Bible App has the Daily Readings and has many options like highlights and bookmarks. The Study notes are useful to me, there is also New Testament audio that I purchased which is nice to listen to after reading the verses. There are some free audio teachings to download. There is a sync option you can save everything online, the app has always saved my highlights & bookmarks except the two times I changed my phone but I think I forgot both times to manually press sync. Great Bible app I hope they keep up the good work with it.

Finally. So glad there is finally an app to listen to all these great discussions. I was growing so tired of listening to talks thru the website. It was cumbersome and often difficult when on a road trip, which is the perfect time to get catechized. The app really needs the ability to share with friends, I want to alert certain friends about things I have listed too. It also needs to be able to play thru your phones auto-lock feature, like iTunes. I am a mother of 5 and the only time I can listen to this is when cleaning house or running, so I need to be able to have the screen lock. Keep uploading those CDs , there are a few I can't wait to listen too. Thanks for updating and adding the app. Kelly

AWESOME!!!. This app is amazing. I love it. I use it all the time. I recommend it often. I love downloading talks and playing them for my kids in the car. They are learning so much (as am I). The other features of this app are also outstanding. The one thing I find lacking in this app is the audio player--it's awkward to use. It's impossible to find a particular part of a talk or rewind a bit if you missed something. And, unfortunately, the audio player is VERY buggy now since the latest update. It's often unresponsive when I select a talk to play and the 'Now Playing' feature doesn't work anymore. Please fix this!!! Thank you. 2-1-17 UPDATE: I still love the app, but since the newest update it constantly crashes. PLEASE fix this!

6-step highlighting?. Through the years I have downloaded and still regularly do use all of the major Bible apps, yet for several reasons I cherish this one above all. The January update was great overall. However, the one feature most lacking is the one I utilize the most: highlighting. You now must make SIX taps in order to highlight just one verse? Please fix this feature to bring it in line with the other Bible apps and e-readers: one or two touch highlighting (finger drag highlighting, like e-readers, if possible), more color options, and especially partial-verse highlighting!
