Getting better with every use. Had the free version earlier on but upgraded because it has been the best timekeeper and invoicing app so far. User friendly, straightforward and easy to grow my business with. Only recommendation is for the invoicing area...where the invoice number would be a unique generated number and consecutively changes with the next invoice generated. This helps posting payments against the correct invoice especially when vendors memo the invoice number on the check.

Great App. Very helpful, would like to see some improvements. Like making it easier to enter clients hours on my phone app and making it possible to delete old clients and something that could allow to repeat what you enter from previous weeks.

ALL HOURS ARE GONE AFTER UPDATE. The app recently updated or is under new management, and when I was logged out and had to sign in again, I found that all my hours have been wiped out and no way to get them back. I tried emailing the customer support email, and it gets bounced back due to the fact that the email is not set up. So, absolutely no way to get ahold of someone to help me. I liked this app, and even pay for it, but I don’t know what’s going on with it. Hopefully someone at the company can actually get ahold of me please??

Discontinuing app from loyal customer. So sorry to have to write such a negative review but I’ve made multiple attempts at contacting Hours Keeper for help. Since updating about one month ago, I have lost over five years of personal business information, including three weeks of September’s billable hours, and thousands of dollars of unpaid invoices that are going to probate. During the years of my business, I have referred countless others to the app because it was so easy to use and reliable. Now I feel I owe the potential customers the warning- if there was a zero star option it would have been my choice.

Great except one issue. I love your product. I can easily track hours. Sign out for breaks and create invoices. My main problem revolves around the fact that I find send the email often problematic. It doesn’t send at first. At least it doesn’t show up in my gmail as sent. I send another one and then they get two. Or it sounds like it sends. I assume that it sent and find out 4 days later when I check again that it never sent. I recently deleted the app and reinstalled because I couldn’t get it to send anything. It sends now and back to not always sends right away. Can I do anything differently to make it work better?

Partially fixed: recent update killed my data. The recent update deleted all of my data (and everyone else’s). By logging into my Polycents account again and then doing a local data restore, I was able to get back all data 2021 and older, but was still missing the last 10 months. Emailing their tech support wasn’t helpful- they just suggested that I try restoring data, etc- things I had already done. Based on the developer’s reply to my App Store review, I signed out of my Polycents account and then logged in using Apple ID. I don’t recall ever logging in in the past with my Apple ID, but I tried it anyways. This helped- I am now only missing my most recent data (about a week’s worth), instead of 10 month’s worth of data. You need to add the ability to merge data (without duplicate records) between a Polycents account and an Apple ID account ASAP. Once you do so, you need to email your user base with specific instructions on how to merge the data between the two accounts. Unless you do this quickly, you will lose your credibility and we will all be switching to a different app.

v3.7 update is jacked. Just like many others reviewing around this time, sometime in the last month or so it signed me out (can’t remember that ever happening), lost client and time data, and can’t recover it. I feel for the folks that have lost years of data. Luckily, I probably only lost a few months because I export the data to a spreadsheet when I invoice and then start fresh. I have used this app for almost 3 years and it has been fantastic for the most part, but this is awful. I’m not a developer and don’t know there process, but #1 on the list of things to do before an update should be “make sure it does the thing it does”

Most recent update fixed this app deleted data!!. I wrote a bad review because the previous update deleted all of the data without warning. Tech-support was non-responsive at the time but since then tech-support has been emailing me every other day, they released a new update that fixed the issue with all the data being deleted. the issue I was having is that even though I knew my email address, the auto fill had my first name capitalized and so I had to have the exact spelling of how I logged into the app when I signed up. All of my data is returned, and I am back to recommending this app because it is amazing.

LOST Clients and billable hours—no warning!. Read recent reviews! Everyone has lost their data! I’ve been using this app for six-years. Today I went in to start recording time for a client and everything was gone! I have billed for two projects with two months of work—all of the hours I recorded are completely gone. How do I approach these two clients and explain I no longer have the records of my work on their projects? I lost six years worth of client records. How does an app company do business like this? Completely wiping out your client records? I see they’re starting a new pay scale for the app. After this stunt—who would upgrade? I’ve no faith in how they do business. Unbelievable. It’s not this is a game app, this is where people kept their client lists and billable hours.

Super simple. I’ve been using Hours Keeper for years and I love it! I do wish that I could see a running total for each client before I send an invoice, and I would love a feature where it auto creates and bills and invoice at a set amount. For example, I charge hourly and bill every $2500, but with a lot of clients it can text that total without me realizing it, so I would love to have that auto generated.

HoursKeeper is my office manager. As a freelance artist, one of the tasks I deplore is keeping track of my time and writing invoices. This App does both efficiently and enables me to spend my time being creative. It keeps my time organized and billed to the minute at my rate. My client(s) also appreciate knowing how I spent my time. I bill monthly and it’s easy to forget phones calls or why I spent 3 hours on something.

Great app with very useful metrics. I love this app! I have been using this app for close to six years now, and I always recommend it to any of our new employees. Unfortunately once apps started switching to subscription-based payment plans it made it a little less appealing to newcomers. I was fortunate enough that I bought the pro version when it was still a one time fee. I gave it four stars because it is a great app that allows you to track your hours based on your clients and allows you to create invoices that I use as my timesheet. I would’ve given it five stars however the lack of a desktop function limits me to only being able to add entries on my phone, which is very tedious. Also it doesn’t allow you to copy and paste an entry so you have to go in and manually enter every shift. Outside of that, I can keep track of my hours, and can look back and see how much I made in a month, a quarter, or a year. Very very useful!

Lost Data Beware. BEWARE! STILL SO AMGRY MY 2022 DATA WAS ERASED AND NO REMEDY. THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN FIXED! DO NOT DOWNLOAD ! It looks like the latest update is affecting other people and not just me. I was fortunate enough only to lose my 2022 data. well I shouldn’t say fortunate that’s still a disaster. I feel for others on here that have lost more data than me. I did receive instructions from Support the other day and they told me how to restore the data but that did not work. They asked me to let them know if that didn’t work which I did and I have not had a response in two days. I have a feeling they are so overwhelmed and trying to figure out how to help us. Unfortunately I am very leery of continuing to use this app. Update: Support said it was fixed but unfortunately NOT! Is it going to be fixed? Can you please let us know? !

It’s all fine when it’s working however. After three years, they killed the server on my version, I never knew about new version (or taking down the server), I cannot log in anymore on old server and my data - three years of heavy invoicing across three clients -0 appears lost. Support by email is fast and fine if you remember China is roughly 15 hours ahead so 9 pm is Noon tomorrow - and if you can get past the entry level support techs. I would rather pony up for a more solid and robust app for invoicing even if the cost is higher and the features too much. Better that than losing three years’ worth of invoicing data.

Was great, but then ruined it with too many pop up ads. I never write reviews, but I used to love this app. It worked great for keeping track of hours and time worked. Now, there are just too many ads that made it unusable. I get that they want me to upgrade to the paid version, but I don’t need all those features and I am not bothered by the occasional ad banner or even pop up. This app though has started serving ads everytime a button is clicked basically, so I have to wait to exit the ad, and then when I click another button the ad pops back up immediately. It’s made the experience horrible and takes way too long now to do the simple task it used to do. I have stopped using this app now for this reason.

Excellent App. This App is amazing. I’ve been using it for about 3 years now. I’m a police officer and I was looking for an app to keep up with my off duty jobs. This app has done that. I’ve been able to keep up with the jobs I’ve been paid for and the ones I haven’t. I’m able to do an invoice for each company I’ve worked for throughout the year showing what I’ve made. This allows for my tax prep to be smoother. I highly recommend this app.

Wow... be careful! Don’t trust 100%. I kept all of my hours for my business in this app and it was wonderful for two years. When I bought a new phone in December for some reason the hours wouldn’t transfer over even though I was logged in to my new device on the same account. Yesterday I plug my phone into look back at the hours before December and since the update happened they asked if I wanted to sync with the hours on my other device and I said no because I didn’t want to lose the hours that were on my old phone. Go figure erased all of my hours that I had logged in since this past April and it also erased a bunch of clients. I won’t be trusting this app after this mess.

Ambivalently using this app for now. I loved this app when it first came out. So intuitive and easy to use. The last two updates have gone horribly wrong. The pervious one before the most recent update made all my entries and invoices disappear for almost 24hrs. I was freaking out! Then I opened the app the next day and every was back. This last update I wasn’t so lucky...EVERY SINGLE ENTRY AND INVOICE FROM THE LAST 3 YEARS WAS LOST!!!!!!! I contacted customer service via email and while they were prompt in their response (why I’m giving 3stars and not two), could offer little or no resolution. The developers need to know that the password and restore data functions in the app are completely glitchy and never work. I haven’t found another app to replace this one yet so I continue to use until I do.

Great ap but poor customer service. 5 stars except there is no customer service... Easy to use.. Love it! I had some issues but have been unable to get ANY response from them and there is NO phone number. I lost 5 months of data and cannot get them to tell me what happened, or if I can get it back! my advice: print EVERYTHING out. or try a different app where someone will at least answer you when things go wrong!

So helpful. I own my own business and I have always just written my hours in my calendar then have to add up everything after. This is so helpful and timesaving! The only thing is I wish there was an option for a description for each entry of the work that was completed.

Lost 10 months worth of data. After an update, I noticed that all of my data had been lost. The Polycents Support team gave some suggestions that recovered all but the most recent 10 months of data. When I inquired further, they responded with "We are trying to retrieve the cause of this problem. If we retrieve the data, we will notify you as soon as possible. I'm really sorry for the bad experience. We will strengthen the optimization in the later period so that this will not happen again." I have yet to hear back from them and they continue to ignore my emails about other solutions to recover my data. It is far from just a "bad experience" since I rely on this data complete my taxes.

Great app for time tracking - can't wait to see what's to come. I use this app for tracking all of my time with clients. It makes it super easy to keep track of my billing based on worked hours. The invoicing function could use some dressing up, but is fully functional and I depend on it. In as much, it has been very dependable and their syncing across devices has been flawless. I highly recommend this app for anyone that needs to keep track of hours and invoicing of clients.

Changed my life. Ok, little dramatic title. But this app changed my billing habits and has already paid off big time. Took a while of 3 minutes to go from free to paid version. It's brilliant and didn't need more convincing. Things I'd like to see added: pausing of clock. More custom invoice options or option to export to a invoicing app (like invoice2go or something similar). That's all. Love it! Update: hasn’t work since your latest update, “please try again later”. Help!

Long Lag Issues. This app would be great if the lag and response time would increase. Currently after many updates and re-installs, every time I make a selection it takes a few seconds to acknowledge and respond to the command. When I am trying to clock in or out, I have to wait until the screen moves and if I happen to hit the selection more than once, it will then repeat how ever many times it is pressed. It keeps the time well enough that I am always parallel and accurate with my jobs clock, but the responses have to increase dramatically.

App ruined. I have used this app for over a year and it’s worked well for me, until this latest update. Now it is awful. It forces you to sign in, which it never required beforehand, and every time I sign in, it creates clones of my accounts (I track hour for 3 different clients) and each file contains partial information. It has duplicated some hours, and has corrupted all my information. It is a total disaster and I am going to look for something else and ask for a refund of my premium account fee. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!

Leave me alone!. You’ve aggravated me to death with the persistent pop-up message, interrupting my work flow, trying to get me to write a review!! I keep taking the extra steps necessary to delete it….and I’m hoping that now that i’m taking the time to write this ridiculous message… That you will discontinue that most irritating pop-up message asking for this review. It’s the pop-up message that is causing the negativity… STOP with that, & let me stay focused on my work already!! Don’t particularly like the changes you’ve made to the new app either… But couldn’t really say for sure until I adapt to them. Your obnoxious persistence… Insisting that I must write a review before I can log my hours… Is a truly horrible idea. That pop-up message better be gone after this review is done… Or I’ll be looking for a different hours tracking app.

Pretty good overall. A few features would improve this 1. showing the time clocked in and out - currently it has to be added manually in the notes to show up on the invoice. 2. showing the hours total on the invoice - currently you have to add it up manually which takes time if you’ve got less than an hour increments. Overall though, good

What the heck happened to this app?. I’ve used the free version for several years without any problems and never had to log in. All of a sudden I have to log in, click on a link in my email to confirm. I do this and it happens all over again. I have not been able to submit my consulting invoices in on time. Now I tried it again only to fine all my data from the last 3 years is gone. When I click on the option to restore it, I can’t because it won’t accept my password which is the same one I used to access it in the first place. This is a ridiculous waste of my time. I think it’s time for a new APP.

A necessity for contractors!. Having picked up multiple contractor positions during COVID, this app is a MUST for keeping track of hours and sending invoices for multiple companies. The reporting feature is also helpful when viewing where time was distributed between my 4 jobs. I highly recommend paying for the pro version to avoid getting served ads every time you log into a job though.

Poorly designed. App does not make keeping track of hours easy what so ever. Does not seem to be able to calculate over time hours automatically. None the less are you able to add and or edit over time hours even by changing pay. It only allows you to pick an over time free option. Which makes no sense seeing as every time I look at hours it never says any over time hours. Very poorly designed app over all. I only picked this one because it was the most up to date app in the App Store. BAD CHOICE.

Used it for years. Used it for years, it’s fine but the more they change the worse it gets. In the latest update I can no longer mark things paid. When I clock in, it goes to dashboard, then I clock out and if I want to make it paid/change something. I have to go thru my giant client list to get there. Why? Just put me on the client page I’m clocked into when I clock in. Newer versions are less intuitive. To save an invoice now you have to hit a random check mark in the corner rather then a button that says “save” Stupid

Great until my data was lost. I have used them for years and loved the product. I purchased the premium edition for Cloud based backup, but a couple of months ago all my data for the last 2 years was lost. I emailed them and they asked me to try a couple of things. None worked and I haven't heard back from them in weeks, even after I emailed them several times. Now I'm going to find a new product. I have tried restoring my data and contacting the developer privately and they have responded only to this review.

Total disaster. I have used this application for several years and until I upgraded it to a premium subscription it worked well. However, after I upgraded the service all data included suddenly vanished. I have written many emails to its support service and so far the reply has been late and unresponsive to my concerns. If you are using this application do not upgrade it for you will most likely lose the data stored. After many emails I finally got a reply from Hourskeeper informing me that because of a problem in the server all the data was lost. Now they are telling their users that they have fixed the problem and a new version will soon be released. Apple should not allow this company to use its store or more clients will be deceived by the information included by Apple.

Helpful. I work for state government in a job with no overtime pay nor comp time. I've made my own Excel worksheets to track my time over the last several years. Tracking time I s not required, nor encouraged - it’s for my own sanity. This app is extremely easy to use. Very helpful. Nice to have it as much as I travel and as many hours as I put in. Thank you!

Doesn’t work as claimed. The app won’t acknowledge that my clients have email addresses so it won’t export or allow invoicing. Also, I signed up with apple originally, then the same issue with email happened where the app won’t recognize email addresses. So, I logged out and created an account and now I still have the same issue. Had to re-input all information and it still won’t export any data. What a bummer. Glad there is a trial subscription for me to cancel.

Great app. I work as a 1099 at several places. I currently use this app to keep track of my hours at different facilities. The app would be better if it showed the time start and end “actual hours” on the invoice itself. I get paid differently per hour at all the facilities. I save “the client” as the name of the facility and save the hourly rate along with that facility. However, some facilities have bonus pay for certain days or different pay for holidays. I finally learned a way to add bonus pay to a certain day but it wasn’t user friendly. I found that under “add items” you can click on “other” and list one quantity, price your bonus amount and no tax. If the app would show the time start and end on the invite for everyday, mor facilities would accept my invoice. For now, I use the app so I can keep track of my hours and then I transfer the data manually into an invoice sheet I have created.

Easy to use, but.... The free version is quite easy to use. I have only had it for a couple of days. But the lack of ability to enter rates seems a small thing to require paying for the use. I may have to decide whether to look for an alternative, although the market is confusing. I am a sole proprietor looking to track my time for billing purposes. So many apps seem to be largely oriented toward timesheets. It is difficult to figure out what is a really good app for this.

Love it, but needs one simple thing. So far this has been a god send and I am so grateful for it. I would love something to be added. A simple tally of how many hours I’ve worked on the top of each client page would be so helpful. Some clients only want me to do 20 hours of work. So it would be helpful to be able to see how many hours I’ve worked at glance without calculating it myself or exporting an invoice. Dear Devs, is this possible? Thank you!

Recent update lost all my data,. I’ve used this app for a couple of years now,and really found it useful,but the most recent update erased all my data,and support from Appxy has been useless so far. I’m hoping they’ll step up so I can go back to praising them,but the last couple of responses they’ve sent don’t have me all too hopeful. A couple of months have passed now,and still no effort on their part to help in anyway. Customer service is nonexistent and the companies statement that they will help solve problems is a lie. Don’t trust them ,keep your own backups !

Latest Update lost all data- No support. I have tried contacting the developers (BHI Technologies, Inc) for 2 days now because the latest update lost all my account data. None of the restore options work and now it says my user profile can not be found. The login button and enter password button does not work. Been using the app since January 2022 and suddenly all my client data is gone and I can not run payroll. I also paid for the premium version and have received zero support from the developers. I even contacted the support emails for their other apps and no response. Someone needs to get the earlier app version restored, data retrieved, refund for the premium version, and bugs fixed ASAP.

App. Had this app before and paid for it because it dif what i needed multiple rates and clients but on an update last year i lost the ability to log in and use it now i have it back wit-out all my clients and info not sure if l will pay again will wait an see if it works

The update is not syncing the information. I lost a whole year of information. While it was no other option then accept the update which messed everything up now looks like I can’t even create a new invoice unless I upgrade for a charge $$. It was wonderful app until the update. Do anyone know how to retrieve the lost information?

Thank you for the great app. This app has really been a blessing for me it has saved me so much time and energy thank you for creating this app I easily record all of the hours and I love the report feature. The reporting feature is probably my favorite part I like the updates made to the details as well.

Hours. I wish I could be as successful as one user was in communication with the app developers. I have gotten only two responses and nothing in the last few weeks. The following issues still have not been fixed. When updating, All my data just disappeared. I managed to get some hours back but still missing current hours from June to present. Those are the most important because they are customers that I’m still working on. I emailed but no response. I still wouldn’t recommend this app until they will resolve my issue. The customer service is next to nothing.

Love it. Needs mileage. I’m loving this app and it’s functions with invoicing and calculating for my clients! The one thing I would love to see added into the same app is a mileage log for my vehicle. Something with a GPS seems great but not necessary for me. I’d rather just put in two addresses and have it record my billable miles in the customer invoice. I really don’t want to use an additional app for billable miles.

Works OK, gets the job done. Using it for part time business. Adding clients is fairly easy, putting in descriptions, adding time seems to be working. Its very basic, and that works. A couple of the reference fields combine the client/owner text fields together & has a little bit if an unprofessional look. The logo bitmap scaling is terrible, have used a couple different file types & sizes and it justs doesn’t ever look that good & no option to delete the logo & have nothing.

I changed my mind. I was optimistic when I first used and reviewed this app, but it has problems. I am unable to sync my data between my iPhone and ipad, and when I contacted them, their "help" was very vague and didn’t solve my problem. Also, be aware that you are giving your information to a Chinese company, which is worrisome as their government has been known to compel companies to share information they gather. In theory, it’s a great idea, so I will look for another app that offers the same functionality.

All of my data and hours gone.. I’ve used this app for about 4 years now. I’m self employed and use it to track time that I put towards different work and such. I also use it for one other employee. It’s very important that I know how much time I am devoting to work and how much $ I should be making. Out of nowhere the app got an update and when I went to track some of my work hours all 4 years of my data stored was gone. No warning, no heads up, nothing. Just deleted forever out of nowhere. All my of important recent data from work in this year is all gone and now I can only give a very rough idea of how many hours and time my employee and I have devoted to work. Would not recommend. Get a different app.

Disaster. I’ve been using this app for years and loved it. It wasn’t perfect but it was perfect enough to allow me to track time for several of my hourly consulting contracts. Imagine my horror when I went to do my 11/1 billing and could access exactly NOTHING. Tech support was very polite but ran me around a tree, winding up by saying basically two thing: the information I needed was now only accessible by using their premium version, and; their premium version server was down. Their answer to my question, “What do I do now?” Was met with a deafening silence. I hope this gets someone’s attention. Of course, I’ll update this if there’s a successful resolution. But for now - I’m screwed.

Latest update is a flop. I loved this app and recommend it to every self employed person I met. With the new update everything takes way more clicks. The app opens to a page that I can't even figure out what it is. It takes longer to do everything and is just not as intuitive. Please listen to your users and rethink this latest update. Not to mention I payed for the add free version and apparently they decided to take away that option and now I have the free one again. When clocking out please show what day/ time I clocked in. Allow creation of custom email title when sending invoice.

Ecstatic-The BEST app EVER!!!. This is absolutely FANTASTIC. After test driving every possible app-I chose this one-it is so so much better in every way than all the other apps of its type out there. I especially love the professional and clean looking "invoice" that can be sent to the client I work for. I will definitely be buying the paid version as I have no doubt at all that this app will continue to be useful. Thank you so much to the creators of this app for making my life so much easier. I can now log my hours easily and actually get paid!!!

Overtime. Would be great if you could add more overtime rates and weekend rates. Also crib and meal allowances.

Change back. Hi, new update looks good but has lost important features to clock in and out at a selected time. It will only let you clock in on that moment which is nearly useless if you have multiple employees. Need to bring back clock in at button and clock out at button. Without this feature it is difficult to work with and are better off using a pen and paper. A on and off break button would be very useful while clock is running instead of remembering multiple workers break times after they have finished the day. Great App. I already loved this app, it’s very simple to log hours and track your work. I recently had to replace a handset unexpectedly and then had issues restoring my iPhone from the backup, so I’d feared all of my hours data was lost...but HURRAH the Keeper app saves it all for you. A great thing to know when you work for yourself and you rely on tracking hours to get paid!!!

Useful!. I found this app really handy to be able to track the hours that I've worked, you can put in your rate of pay and then create invoices for weeks or in my case fortnights that I then use to determine how much I should be getting paid each fortnight. Love that it's all in the one app. REALLY easy to use and super convenient 😊 Been using this app to track and make sure I'm getting paid the correct amount. Would recommend 🙌🏻

UPDATE: It’s working!. I loved this app until the last update before this, when it became harder to I spent 20 minutes going in circles between the new “log in with email” screen and my email client. It appeared to be a continuous loop! I downloaded a few options that didn’t quite fit my needs, and then tried again with this last night. To my astonishment the validation link worked and the app is working fine. So... if you’re having trouble with the latest update, stick with it:-)

Change app back to previous version!. The previous version was more user friendly, less confusing and messy. I especially hate how they've taken away the option to "select all" when creating an invoice without having it include jobs/hours that have already been paid. It doesn't make any sense if youve already invoiced it and marked it as paid why would you want it to then be included in another invoice? So stupid and can cause SO many issues and make you as the user forwarding these invoices look stupid and trying to get more money when you're not.

Lost my a years worth of data!!!!. The app forced me to the login screen and after the login I am now missing all entries for 2022. And I am not able to recover it!

Paid full version, reverted to trial and won’t restore. Paid full price, got a full months of no ads, out of the blue my app has reverted to the trial. Locked features and ads again. Have emailed support, advised nothing can be done. Have been advised the only way to eat a refund is through Apple. The app worked well before now BUT I rely on it for my tracking and invoicing, and am at a standstill if I can’t use the data already in the app. No one needs this kind of problem.

Do not download this app. This app has been amazing for the last few years. Unfortunately their recent upgrade allows for the advertising pops up which block out your whole screen every 30-40seconds while you are trying to use the app almost making this free app unusable. Ads are fine but not when they take up the whole screen for about 5 seconds every 30 seconds. Thanks for the last few years hours keeper but I have just deleted you thanks to this new annoying change!

Lost over years worth of data. Upgraded the app and now over a years worth of invoices have disappeared, emailed help through the app and they cannot be contacted. I did really like this app until this happened. If you use this app be sure to keep seperate records in case of loss of data or just use another app I can’t trust this one now

Disaster. What-With the new update all my time records have gone. That’s lost money to me. Not to mention the need to create an account now where I didn’t before. How could I ever trust this app again?

Last two updates are very poorly made .... This was a great app, but the last TWO updates are shockingly bad! The previous to last one (19 Apr) left many people unable to access the app (and understandably fuming) for 6 days, and the newest update (26 Apr) has a major error in the report - it doesn't seem capable of adding the hours correctly. The background data is correct (I have extracted the csv file and manually doing the additions works), but the sum of hours in the app is incorrect .. I imagine this could have very dire consequences for anyone actually using the app to bill clients! In addition, the new version of the app is a lot less user friendly (and many others are saying so in comments posted here too). This is really shocking ... What are you guys doing? If you can't be bothered to do it properly and test it before pushing it out, what's the point of even having it? App development isn't like news stories - a bad app is not good publicity!

Very helpful app. Love this app! We use it for our crèche for parents to be able to sign in/out. But there’s a few things that I think could make it better: - allow it to connect to Stripe or PayPal for invoicing - let us round to nearest 15 minute mark, not up or down. Also allow us to make every client set to same hourly rate and time rounding in settings. - Search bar to find clients *really need this one* - able to customise the spreadsheet report to our liking

Unusuable since last update.. Apparently the team is now called “Polycents” and all users are required to log in to ‘sync’ our files. Sync with what is the question here. I have been using this app for years and have dozens of invoices and information that I now cannot access. Nor can I invoice any of my current clients because the login screen takes me to an email confirmation link which, when clicked takes me back to - yes, you guessed it- the login screen! Dudes, bad form. I have on sent invoices with information only available on this app which until now, I trusted and have previously recommended to my colleagues. Red faces for me, huh?

Lost data. After update I lost all my data? Where is it? I press restore data, it’s restored and come back empty.

I will give it a 4 out of 5 Stars. Bought this app just today as I have been using it for little while. This is one of the easiest Apps to use and it is great. However if I can only send reports to my self and clients this would be fantastic. I will Give the developers another star if they fix this bug. I wanted to report to them the bug but I just can not sent any emails through this app. Could one of the developers please get back to me as to their email address so I can write to them. Frustrating. I have used this app for over 8 years with no issues. Today it updated and lost all my data and employee hours. There is no way to contact any support and I now have to figure out my employees hours for the year. Guess I’m going to need a new app.

Paid subscription, not working. Very disappointed the app stopped working. If the issue is not fixed soon, I will have to cancel my subscription.

Too many missing features. This was written years ago and they still haven’t fixed the problem. Overall this is a fine app but I'm getting frustrated with missing features. Adding in business is cut off with a "..." On the invoice rather than create a new line. Large gap with missing address beside my business logo and from my business name, Gap, email address. I can't remove the discount and other tab off the invoice when they are not being used. Clock setting front page is useless and have more buttons to find clients. Text is now smaller as well.

Hours Keeper. Been using Hours Keeper Pro app for over 5 years. Now the developer changes names and no longer supports loyal users (user account is no longer recognized and “server cannot be found”). DO NOT USE THIS APP! I upgraded my iPhone. Backed up and then restored. Locked out of my account! Developer that does not recognize previous loyal paid users (“Grandfathering”), and changes app to collect monthly/yearly subscription fees is BAD.

Pushing ads too hard makes customers leave. I used to use this app full-time. It worked great for tracking hours and generating simple invoices. Coming back to the app after a couple years, it’s now full of ad banners and forces you to watch video ads. These ads are also on the Google ad network meaning Google is harvesting your information without consent. I will not subscribe to the app due to ad pressure. I’m looking for a better product.

Functional but predatory billing. I found it to be pretty basic, somewhat convenient. However, after not using the app for over 2yrs and my credit card being expired, I had thought the billing would end. A recent app purchase though triggered a backlog of my subscription fees, without any warning or approval to renew. So, no—I will not be using this again, or any subscription based app that doesn’t confirm or notify me.

Not able to send invoice.. This app is fairly ok and simple to use, but it’s very annoying that it won’t let me send invoices. Keeps telling me to “set up mail in order to send mail”. My email and clients emails are already entered in the app. This is a critical app functionality that I’m not able use. Unfortunately I may need to abandon this app for this reason

This app used to be good, it was completely free and did the trick for tracking hours and creating invoices, however now it’s impossible to move from one page to another without having an ad play. cannot access account!!!. I am a Hours Keeper Pro user/client and I am using this channel since I haven’t gotten any response on Hours Keeper Pro (same developers as for Hours Keeper) app channel … After moving to a new iPhone I cannot access my Hours Keeper Pro account anymore. Login attempts fail by timing out. Requests for password resets are unsuccessful (i.e., no response). Emails to customer support remain unanswered after a week. I need to access my account to invoice my clients. I can't afford to lose 3 months of work hour records which have not been billed yet. I liked this program and used it successfully for years. But this is a catastrophic failure. And the silence from customer support is unacceptable. I hope this review gets the developers attention. Please help and send instructions on how to remedy this problem!!!

Easy to navigate. I like the invoice function however I would like to not be limited to specific pay periods. I do freelance consulting work and the pay period concept is not applicable. I sim]ply need to bill from the date of my last pain invoice to today's date.

Won’t work! What’s with gender?!. I have entered every piece of information in my app and it still will not let me email an invoice. It keeps telling me to set up mail which I did but it refuses to acknowledge that. Also why do you need to know my gender? How in any way does that affect me sending an invoice to a company I’m working for? I’m going to figure out how to get my hours off of this and find something else to use!!

New Update Prevented Login For A Month. New update put a fairly substantial hitch in my giddy up, but appears to be all good now. I have never been able to understand why when these app designers attempt to improve the product they usually make things worse (initially at least). Hey boss... if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Best app for freelancers. Been using this app since I went freelance in 2016 and it has been a gem. Rounding up to the minute is a great selling point to my clients, some of whom are non-profit and need to know exactly how much time and money are spent.

Easy then, glitched now.. I used this app for years and loved how easy it was, just what I needed. I recently started using it again and after inputting the details of my job for months, it would not let me print the invoice to be emailed and it does not keep the information included on the attempted invoice, super frustrating! Customer service did get back to me but did not follow up.

MAJOR PROBLEM. I’ve been using this app for over 3 years but the recent update has a major flaw that does not allow you to login and the email link to assist never goes through. I contacted customer service and they insist they “cannot reproduce the error”. I’ve seen other reviews that experienced sane issue yet they offer NO HELP to their major issue. Lost all my data. Simple and easy to switch to a different client. I build websites and do other marketing construct work. So, this is a nice way to switch easily between jobs without losing track of my hours!

Works Well. I recently had to upgrade my iPhone and my previous Hours Keeper app would not transfer over. I upgraded to this version and so far so good. It’s easy to use and works well for my needs.

Not bad. I’ve used this app for about four months. My only complaint is when I delete my hours for the months, it only clears the money but keeps the hours. I am unable to clear it as a whole. It works for small jobs and it’s bad, overall.

Invoicing. I wish the invoice would total the hours by number of hours worked. I need to incorporate your apps report into my branded invoice. The way the tables are written it’s difficult to manipulate what I present to include number of hours per month times my rate equals the invoice.

Beware!. I have been using this app for years with a lot of success. One day it stopped working on my iPhone and I cannot get the support team to answer me. This is incredibly concerning because all of my client data is in there and I cannot access it. As far as I know there is no way to back this up on your computer. I have the pro edition so I have even paid them.I have tried everything to reinstall it and access my information without luck.

Have not received any emails that the app said it sent to be able to login. Contacted customer service from the developer Website, because in the app the is no way to contact or ask for help. I paid for this service and all of my data from this year was deleted in an update.. I can no longer access my pending invoices. There is really no support. I was not notified there may be a loss of data with the new update, I was just prompted to log in. At first all of my data was gone, but the I “restored” and it only restored from 2021. Do not recommend.

ZERO stars. The product was fine for YEARS, then after the last update, ALL of my information was just gone. Every client—gone. Every hour I worked from the beginning—gone. Ever un-invoiced hour in their system—gone. There is no solution. There is not a low enough rating for this app. It simply can’t be trusted, and customer service is not helpful at all. Basically, “log out and back in again, and your data might come back”. Nope.

What Happened?. I want to give this app five stars because I have loved it for a long time now, but all of a sudden it’s not syncing the Hours Between devices. On one device I uninstalled and reinstalled installed it only to lose everything after June (It’s December right now). I love this app and want it to keep on working, but right now I’m pretty frustrated with it.

Excellent app. I have been using this app for three years now. It does all of the hard work in my opinion. I have many contracts per year and this makes it easy to track and invoice. Well worth the investment.

App helps me keep organized. This is a good app. I wish that it would allow for repeat occurrences so I wouldn't have to re-enter the info for each week of the month, but it's fine for my needs. I wouldn't be as efficient without it.

No Longer Able to Export Data or Send Email - Support Never Responded. I loved this app for an easy inexpensive way to track billable hours. Seek alternative! Unreliable & unresponsive developer.. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM DEVELOPER. I purchased the premium app around 2014, and it was fine enough. There were kinks along the way with Dropbox syncing and data back ups, and eventually I just gave up trying to back up. The developer made a change without notice to subscription based service. I lost all access to years worth of data. I would periodically reach out to the developer to no avail.

Everything deleted. I had probably 7-8 years of data on this app and went to clock in today and it’s all gone. Reading reviews I guess it self updated?? I would have liked to know they were going to delete everything and given an option to pay if that’s what they really wanted before just getting rid of everything.

Simply input your name or your business name along with your hourly rate of pay. Each work day, punch in and out. When ready, select INVOICE and add desired entries. Email it and GET PAID.

Simple and Professional. This app is perfect for my work as an independent contractor! It allows me to clock in/out with a simple “button”, and produces professional looking numbered invoices for clients. It keeps track of paid invoices as well which simplifies my accounting come tax time.

Great app!. I love seeing the running total of how much I’m making at work. Plus it’s really good if your payroll is off at times to be another way to keep track of all the hours spent at work.

Ads are becoming a problem. I’ve never minded the ads on this free version, but lately they’re interfering with functionality. An ad will run, but then it will be impossible to close, even with an x to click on. I have to close out the app and (in the worst cases) restart my phone. If this isn’t fixed soon, I’ll find an alternative app, because it’s wasting my time and patience.

Good tracker just changed to charge for use. We have been using this app to keep my hours for a non profit I work for. Without warning they are now charging to export your data. That’s how I get paid. So, I will have to pay to get paid. Unfortunately that is not best for me. I will find another option.

Effective and easy. Since we are quarantined and cannot go to work, our supervisor was looking for a way for us to register our hours and my coworker found this. It has helped a lot. We just clock in, clock out, and then screenshot it to our supervisor. It’s great!

Honestly deserves 0 stars. I’ve been using this App for years, both paid and unpaid versions of it. With the most recent update, for the one client I’ve been using this App for, it wiped out all of my trackings from the past two months. When I went to the restore feature, it updated my app information to the end of 2021, so I lost everything. Do yourself a favor and trust a different tracking app.

Some useful features lost. Some features, such as changing and having them update in invoices are no longer happening which makes for much more tedious work when things change. Hopefully this is fixed. I am glad the app is syncing across devices properly now

Keeping track of hrs. This is a great app. It charges by the minute does it matter what time you clocked in clock out? It’s great I actually got more money this month than I ever have working for a contractor in the boat yard

New version is terrible. For years this app was a simple solid workhorse for my hours tracking. The new versions have turned it into a UX mess. The latest update now requires logging in with an email where this was not needed in the past. The email validation process failed, and now I can’t access my hours data. I get it, developers need to eat. The push to monetize this app further while making it terrible though is forcing me to delete this app and walk away. Update: I finally logged into the app after making it through the unintuitive email verification process to find my hours data is completely gone! This “update” has lost me documentation of billable hours in the thousands of dollars. If you enjoy data retention, stay away from this app.

App works, syncing doesn’t. If you don’t have to keep data in sync with multiple devices, this app works great. If you need to keep it in sync, you either have to do it all manually or just only use a single device. Contacted support on several occasions and they don’t help out.

Great App, False Advertsing. This app is great for what it’s designed to do. However, their false advertising is extremely disappointing. You may have been lured in like me by seeing the “1yr Premium Free Trial”. Sadly, even after reaching out to them I haven’t been able to receive the free premium trial they are still promoting on there. Good app, just wish they had more integrity behind their “offers” try promote.

No longer works. I used this app often and really enjoyed it until a recent update making it harder to navigate between clients. Even then I continued to use it, but somehow I got logged out and can no longer log back in. All my data is lost and I had unbilled invoices so this has cost me a ton of money!!! No app support at all. When you go to the developers website there is no information on how to contact them for this app.
