Used in northern Wisconsin last weekend on a new lake. Great depth measurements to help with casting!
This app is easy to use and the vibe is way more positive than most fishing forums. Most fishing forums consist of a gaggle of "experts" that think they are the best fisherman in history. This app promotes the sport of fishing to all experience levels rather than anglers constantly bragging about how long their "catch" is. Don't get me wrong... there are trolls everywhere, in every hobby. Fishidy seems to have a fair sense of community that promotes the sport to all levels of anglers. This app is informative and one of the best.
It's very helpful to learn the local area of your unfamiliar. People participating helps out. I'd buy the app again.
Really cool app wish it had more waterways and info but otherwise really cool
Offers a lot with the app but there is only a few pros (low level) that comment on the lakes that I have fished. I wish there were more pro tips included. The bait recommended through the app is outdated and usually not accurate for the area and season. This app will not replace experience and local knowledge, so be aware of what you are looking for. If the app and membership was priced around $30 dollars a year, then that would be easier to swallow.
Incorporate in the app the forecaster that you have on the website.
I've had premium for over a year now. Generally, the app is useful. I've used it in Michigan and Florida. Topographical maps are great. It'd be nice if there was an outline of public shore access, but maybe I'm asking too much. I also wish there was a display of water temperature. Like any user-reported app, it relies on a strong user base to populate catch results. In this regard, it's /okay/. I absolutely have to knock a star off because premium members still get ads, which is ridiculous.
The detailed mapping is very helpful when my go to spots are not working or I'm on a new body of water. I also like to log my catches quickly and then use the website later to fill in all the details. Love the social features as well.
You can't add a spot or fish catch at the exact location on the map. Just the body of water it was caught on. Absolute junk
Part of FishingCrew merger, took away my "premium" membership, won't return emails, and when did, said they'll add me to a Newsletter to answer my question. Been a month, no newsletter. Fishidy's interface basic compared to FishingCrews application. Can't select my followers, no back button feature, makes you restart search. Has features, however, staff doesn't seem to set the customers above their own. I foresee a delete and search for new app or just stop sharing. Shame they bought FishingCrew, excellent app and community of people.
Awesome, the maps are amazing! Fun to connect with other fushermen.
I live on the Mississippi gulf coast and the app cannot find a waterway near me..... App is garbage deleting immediately!
It's a great idea but paying for a subscription is absurd. It's pay 10 bucks for this but no way on God's green earth is it worth any kind of subscription fee.
Search will not find a lake I fish a lot even though I can see it on map within app. Also, should be able to set spots without having to search for lake.
Do not buy!!!
Offers in app purchases. Don't upgrade. It runs on a social platform but doesn't have enough users to make it work. They shouldn't be charging 10$ a month for it.
Poor info and no easy way to get out! They keep charging you!
Great app for enhancing your fishing experience through low impact technology. I use Fishidy every time I'm on the water for navigation as well as cataloging successful locations, conditions and presentations. It's even useful on lesser known waters that don't have contour maps because you can plot "catches" and "spots" on satellite image maps. (This might be my favorite feature.) I also use the fishing hot spots points of interest for help on unfamiliar waters or to take a shot at a new structure on my local lakes. It is important to make sure your gps is working properly on your phone or tablet to get the most out of Fishidy. Overall very good piece of tackle!
This is a good idea it just doesn't have enough people using it for tips and stuff.
I got this app because I fish and this app is very resourceful, it contains stuff about fish and stuff 9.6/10 would recommend to friend
