Tremendous-Especially from a biblical perspective.. I love this dictionary. It not only gives the definition, but he gives biblical examples as well. Which I love in this app. If all you had was the word of God and this dictionary, we have godly scholars today!

Too many inaccuracies. I just happened to look up the word 'sin' and the definition is full of inaccuracies which do not match the printed version of the 1828 dictionary. There are at least seven words missing in this definition on the app.

Noah Webster's 1828. I love this dictionary! I use it to witness to people right alongside with my Holy Bible. People today don't understand how the English language had changed. I point out that Satan has been changing language in order to change the Word of God. I point this out between the NIV vs. the KJV & then have people look at the differences in the definitions of the word "morality." I am very glad this book is still with us today & an app on an iPhone, no less!

disappointed. I’m literally watching my friend open his original version of this dictionary and it does not have the same definitions. I honestly, feel like it’s a waste of my money.

Who Penned this dictionary?. Not Daniel Webster. It was written buy Noah. Two totally different individuals. I am So glad to finally have the dictionary that gives meanings the correct biblical foundations.

Suggestion:. Please offer a word a day of the 1828 dictionary. Maybe an app notification. It would be nice

Hugely disappointing. The app won't work on my phone but I was still able to purchase. That is terrible dishonesty!

No good ( iPhone 4). I was excited to see this app for iPhone but was disappointed to see that it won't work with my iPhone 4.

Great!. Love this dictionary! As a Christian I love how the 1828 version has definitions to words in the Bible that most modern dictionaries do not. However, I do believe it would be even better if it had a thesaurus to it as well.

Fantastic App!. By Dark Killer 356 (R. Dom F.) Amazing app! I use it several times a day when I'm reading the bible or when I'm writing songs. Lest & beseech not in 1828?. Update this app! Basic words in hardcopy would make this app official!!!

A Lot of Words Missing. I read a lot of archaic writings, and I have been disappointed that this dictionary has so many words omitted.

Awesome!!!. I was so excited when I found out that there was a 1828 Webster dictionary on the App Store. It is so worth the five dollars. It is great to have the dictionary on my iPod to take it wherever I go. All in All Great work!!!

I like it.. I like this app because it's the only dictionary that still has scriptures from the bible to go with the words.all Christians should get this!

Great app, wrong name. I have been looking for a Webster's 1828 Dictionary app for a long time, and I love this one! One problem though: The app is wrongly named the "Noel" Webster's Dictionary in 2 places—on the cover image and the app title. Please fix as its a bit embarrassing!

Yes!. I have been wanting this in my pocket for a some time now. This is a definitive work. Some of you just got that... ;-)

Excellent Resource, however.... This is a remarkable resource. The interface is clean and easy to use. However, as someone who is vision impaired, it would be very helpful if I could enlarge the font sizes within the app or zoom in on the screen. With that being said, I still highly recommend this app.

Not bad!. It's all you need just to see what the word means. If there is anything I don't like it is everything is smudged together and words misspelled!

Great complement to the KJV Bible. One star deducted because I’d like to have the option to report any typos found (ex: under the definition of “mammon” it says “god or riches” instead of “god of riches”).

Powerful and Insightful. First of all: THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE DICTIONARY! It will not have modern words/definitions! You will be disappointed if you want that! Having said that, I have found this unique dictionary to be incredibly useful, when trying to understand words from a different era. It is insightful how a word can evolve over time and have a different meaning from one time period to another. I don’t like assuming what author’s are trying to say- and interpret their words through MY viewpoint. So when I’m reading American Authors at the turn of the century this dictionary is so enlightening! (Side-Note: as to where this dictionary originated) Daniel Webster (the author) felt compelled to write a dictionary for Americans and set a standard for how to spell and define words from an American’s point of view. Prior to his dictionary there was quite a bit of confusion for what a standard was for so many words that were spoken/written in America. You can imagine how school teachers, writers, lawyers, judges an so forth had a hard time communicating/educating. For this reason Webster took it upon himself to painstakingly work on a dictionary! Which makes him a very intriguing man to me. As a lot of men from his time- he was not boxed in by just one career or fixated on One speciality- but rather was multifaceted. This dictionary is a direct result of how American English broke from England’s way of spelling and vernacular.

Lacks full definitions. I have the real Webster's 1828 dictionary and this app does not have full definitions. It's very incomplete and I want a refund.

Disappointing. I have a copy of the 1828 Dictionary and this isn’t even close! First, what is up with putting a German eagle on the cover? Secondly, where are all the amazing sentence illustrations? Where are the depth of definitions? And where is the entomology of the words? This is like some middle school dictionary! Maybe I purchased the wrong one but I’d sure like my money back. This was pure deception!

Leaving out the word LEAVE. I was looking up the word LEAVE in this app and it was not there. I have the Webster's 1828 Dictionary on my bookshelf so I took it out and looked it up in there. Sure enough it was there in between LEATHERY and LEAVED. I think you need to do an update to include the word LEAVE in your app.

Nonfunctional. Paid the $5 but doesn't work on iPhone 3GS, no content whatsoever. There is no indication of this in the compatibility listing. FIX IT!!

Missing quotes. It lacks quotes, which are part of the pleasure of the original work. Clearly, this is the handiwork of Satan. Not only does Satan erode our divine, English language, but he knows iOS development and dilutes our App Store.

Nothing in the app. I have two stars because I am a fan of the 1828, but this app is not working for my iPhone 4. If you fix this problem I would appreciate it since I have paid you five dollars. In my opinion that is a great price for a working product. Please fix this. Thank you.

If you have a KJV bible then you need this.. This app has enhanced my revelations and allows me to come to deeper understands of Gods Word.
