Pricing model ransoms basic features. This app was great during the trial period. My favorite feature was that port forwarding didn’t time out after a few minutes, like it does for so many other apps. For two weeks, I was truly able to use my iPad Pro as a mobile workstation, working on Jupyter notebooks hosted on my desktop at work. Then the free trial expired, and port forwarding sessions began to die in the background after just a minute or two. This breaks the functionality of the app for me, rendering it basically useless. I understand why some of Termius’s advanced features can justifiably be sold as part of a subscription, but the way their pricing is currently structured, the developer gives you a taste of a working app for two weeks and then tries to charge you $100 to not intentionally break the app for one year. I refuse to pay anyone a subscription to keep them from breaking their own product. Charge me $20 up front and I’d be happy to pay. As it stands, I’ll go back to hauling my laptop around before I give this extortionist developer a cent of my money.

Pretty Great but Lacks One Thing. Overall, the experience with Termius is incredible. Often I’ll SSH into another computer to do my work, and Termius has made the experience nearly flawless. LOVE: - Keep Alive works extremely well - Remapping Caps Lock — I remap to ESC because of the iPad Keyboard/Trackpad case lacks ESC. - Having ^B as a UI button — I’m a heavy tmux user, and it can be handy. - Port Forwarding — This has been randomly handy working with containers. - Being able to really customize the on-screen keybind buttons to a lot of pretty useful things. - Sync across all devices that can run the app. LIVE WITH: - The subscription model feels a bit steep, but overall the app is polished enough to justify. ROOM TO IMPROVE: - “Custom” / “Better” Themes! Even supporting the community’s “iTerm2-Color-Schemes” (GitHub) list of themes. The project has been great about adding in “exports” for other applications. Even being able to tweak the standard color set would be a huge step up. For example, the blue can be way too dark on the darker backgrounds. - Nerd Font Symbol support - Ligature Support

I downloaded the free version years ago. Now that I find myself in a new role, being able to use my iPad for more of my actions has become possible. Additional changes in iPadOS which promote the substitution of an iPad for carrying around a laptop have pushed me to l see how much I can get done just using an iPad. Part of my role is directly interacting with a handful of Cloud Based Servers. I looked over the many choices in the Store and found I had already gotten this one. So, I give it a fresh look. First it is still being updated regularly. It gets me quickly to the creation of a new Host with exactly the right questions and allows me to group hosts *with sensible defaults* including the ssh-key to be used! I was just blown away, when I needed to construct a tunnel forwarding, that this too was part of the FREE product and EASY to describe / turn on and off. This is now my GoTo tool when I need to bring up a fresh server or maintain and existing one. With this much features and support for the FREE version (no timeout, etc.), it is worth kicking the tires for yourself and about time I shoot money to the author to support this great tool.

Great ssh / terminal app. I've been using it for a long time and almost every day at one point or another. It's interface is fluid and easy to follow. There no fighting with termcap settings and genuinely for me it just works. It has a lot of features and support for things that I have not had a need to use on my ipad (port forwarding, pubkey auth for example) and really all the basic and not so basic features you would want with an SSH client. Anyone looking for a ssh client should really give this a go you won't be disappointed.

One small tweak. Perfect! Well, almost. The app will close the connection if you are not active for a short time. But I have to say, that's my ONLY complaint. Make that timeout a bit longer and it is absolutely perfect. Not just a "good" app.... there is nothing even close! That makes it absolutely essential. Whatever flaws it may have, such as the short timeout, are grin and bear it because there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that even comes close. I give it double the number of stars above.

Great!. This is a great app! I use it all the time, especially when I am not near a terminal. Or even when I'm near one but just want to do a spot check. You can set up identities and keys. I just configured it to use RSA public key encryption. I can associate the key with a login and use that configuration to login. Very easy! You can also save multiple configurations for the different hosts and logins you need. I can now admin my system from anywhere. At dinner, on the trail, or anywhere I have my phone, or tablet, and internet. You customize your view so different terminal sessions can easily be distinguished. There is also a handy history log of all your login sessions. I don’t need sftp, but that can be added for the price of a subscription ($10 / year, I believe). For that price you also get snippets (macros), fingerprint recognition, plus more. (Edit) There was a keyboard issue that made ‘shift’ characters hard to enter (caps/special chars/etc) (There was a workaround, but inconvenient). This was fixed, so I keep my 5-star rating. There is a lot packed into this FREE app! Very nice!

Termius is amazing. This should be an editors choice app. I have used Termius on all my devices for managing hundreds of servers for quite a while now. I can say with confidence it is the best application of its kind out there right now. However, there is one critical issue. We will be implementing ProxyCommand with cloudflare for security on our servers, but ProxyCommand it is not implemented in either the Linux or iPhone apps. We won’t be able to use Termius anymore unless it’s implemented. I love this software and I really don’t want that to be the case 😢.It would definitely be extremely appreciated if this could be implemented! Thank you so much!

Good feature split between paid / premium. I appreciate that the free product includes most features I want to use as an individual non-business user, and that most of the premium features are ones designed to support a business use case. It’s kind of crazy to see people complaining about the developer charging subscription pricing for features designed for professional use. Nearly all software used in business today is priced this way, and if this software is bringing you value at work you or your employer should be happy to pay for it.

Serious Problem with new iPad. I’ve used this app since it was called ‘Server Auditor’ and until now it has always been outstanding. I purchased a new iPad a couple of weeks ago (standard 9.7 inch with cellular) and Termius now becomes unusable within a few sessions after new installation. Keyboard response times increase until the app simply locks up. I’ve verified that ssh sessions from my Mac work fine, as it seems do those from my old iPad 2. I’ve been unable to get any response from the developer regarding any of this despite numerous attempts. Sadly the other products out there don’t come close to Termius in features, but at least they seem to work on this iPad. If Termius works for you it’s great, but unfortunately that’s no longer the case for me. Down to one star since its unusable on my iPad and I can’t get a response from the developer. Still no response from Crystalnix and no update. I’ve switched to the ‘Prompt 2’ app which seems to work well so far. It seems to have all the features I need for the moment. Not cheap, but if it continues to work properly that’s what’s important to me.

Hmmmmm .... Worked fine yesterday, but hung up with "Waiting" on the app icon today. I had to delete and reinstall to get it to work, and lost all the customization, groups, and hosts I had put in. Not good. Not terrible, either, but I sure wouldn't want to have to regenerate all the configs while I was, say, on a long trip. A way to export and import the configs would be REALLY handy. I work in computer security, and have to wonder if the developers keep up with the latest problem reports.

Best free SSH client on iOS. This is a great SSH client, with support for saving identities, key generation, and port forwarding even in the free version. The only downside is sessions cannot stay open in the background for more than 3 minutes, but that is a limitation of iOS itself, not Termius. I also wish it advised users to use SSH instead of Telnet the first time they use it because Telnet is unencrypted and you should really avoid using it if at all possible. I use Termius for connecting to my Debian server when I don't have my computer on me and need to do something that I can't do through the Webmin interface. The port forwarding feature comes in handy when I need to do something like connect to said Webmin interface remotely or use OpenVPN in public places when it is blocked (Surprisingly, I have run into this problem before, at an airport). Overall, a great app if you have a server and don't want to carry a computer around to access it.

Termius is great.. Termius is excellent. I’ve been using it for a year or so. It supports TrueColor. It handles Unicode well. The UI for configuring new hosts is clear and straightforward. It has the best UI by far for setting up port forwarding, making a process with lots of confusable details fairly straightforward. It has great integration with the iOS keychain for managing secrets, like passphrases for encrypted private SSH keys. So, yeah, it’s one of the more expensive SSH clients on iOS. But you’re not paying for nothing. It’s got many features, solid support for subtler aspects of good terminal functionally, and (most rare of all) excellent user interface design that makes it easy to use.

Excellent App with Frequent Major Problem. Termius is really well done and a joy to use. The amount of customizability that it offers is very impressive and I found it very easy to great around the application and use it the way I wanted to. However, every 5 times or so that I open the application it will just load to a completely blank screen and nothing at all will be displayed. It’s frustrating because I really want to love this app but the level of unreliability makes it impossible for me to rely on it in any production / critical capacity. Others don’t seem to report this issue so it might not be something that happens across the board and hopefully it’ll be resolved in an update.

This is such a great app!. This is one of the best designed apps I’ve ever owned. I often need to connect to raspberry pi’s running 3D print servers, and it’s actually more convenient to make config tweaks using my phone or iPad than just grabbing a laptop in another room. The fact that I can make edits to config files on a server from my iPhone is cool, but not earth-shattering. The fact that it’s not just possible with this app, but actually useful, fast, and not annoying is a testament to how well it is designed. Bravo!

working even better than before. I have been using this app for connecting to my external and remote servers for years now, and they have made many necessary improvements to the app over that time. It has gone from usable to useful. I use it enough, and have enough confidence in their maintenance of the app, that I am now putting in my own requests for improvements and features I'd like to see in future updates. I rarely write reviews for apps or anything else, but when they requested it this time, I am gladly giving them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. 😀 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍👍 😀 🖖 Live long and prosper

Almost there. I use this app to administer my Linux/Raspberry Pi systems on my home network and it works wonderfully. My one complaint is the delay when switching apps. When I first open or switch into the app it will not allow input for around 5 seconds or so. This is frustrating if you are following troubleshooting or installation instructions from a webpage, because every step gets needlessly delayed. It’s not enough to stop using the app, but it’s annoying enough that it should be addressed. Otherwise, love this app.

Stellar (Free Version). I use the free version and have been pleasantly surprised by the features of the free version and lack of aggressive ads suggesting you upgrade. I am a light user without the need for advanced features so this fits the bill perfectly. The interface is clean and pleasantly/intuitively designed. There is no time out or limit as I have encountered with other terminals in the past. I have been using this regularly for quite some time now and have noticed frequent updates that noticeably improve quality with each update. There is also a companion app for windows that allows you to sync your sessions (I believe this is a paid feature, but convenient ). Both Termius for Windows and IOS are my terminal of choice and with that I would recommend at least the trial, you may be pleasantly surprised as I was.

Termius on iPad. I use Termius all the time to take care of tasks on my three remote Linux Debian 10 servers (as well as my Debian 10 laptop when I'm too lazy to go to its normal location). The documentation has improved over the years and Termius' stability has, too. I would like to see a split screen capability so I could watch two servers or two different directories at once. My only real complaint is about Apple's virtual keyboard which takes up WAY too much vertical screen space for a single-finger typist as well as its lack of a left single-quote character which I need often as a programmer in Bash, Raku, and Perl. (I have bought and tried other keyboards but they still take up too much vertical screen space.)

My go to terminal. I’m a software engineer and use Termius to ssh and/or mosh to my Mac in my office. I use it many hours each day, seven days a week. I’m very happy with the current version. I do have one currently unresolved issue — when I run Termius on my iPad Pro and split the screen with a second app, I cannot get keyboard focus back into the terminus terminal window after using the 2nd app. Using termius in split screen mode requires a lot of patience to continually unsplit the screen as a workaround for focus. Termius support has told me it will be fixed in the next couple of weeks. I do appreciate the quick response.

Use Everyday For Work!. I am a Network Architect, and I use this app on my iPhone and my iPad to be able to do everything besides the most intensive day-to-day stuff. It is literally life changing for me - as a fully remote worker, because it gives me the freedom to take full advantage of working from home (not being tethered to a single device / a single computer / sitting at a desk, etc. I highly recommend Termius as my go-to terminal emulator on iOS devices for all of your networking needs.

Subscription fatigue. I cannot use or recommend this app due to the subscription. I understand development and maintenance of the app is not something that is viable for free. In addition to the subscription model please consider sales alternatives to accommodate a broader user base. A higher one-time purchase is one path, but since you are already locking features behind a subscription, maybe a onetime purchase for the main app, and additional one time purchases for other pieces of the app. It would let users choose between smaller subscription payments and a larger upfront cost. Also features for features that are not needed, users don’t buy those specific modules.

Simply works. Works simply. I use this to ssh into several different machines around my house. I can reboot a server in the middle of the night, etc. Mostly a drawback of the limited screen size on the phone, but I find myself frequently going between portrait and landscape, to get the keys I want available on the on-screen keyboard. Also, I wish a few keys (del) would auto repeat better. All in all, quite usable, which few iPhone ssh programs can actually claim.

Great Terminal App for iPad. This is a GREAT terminal app for the iPad (especially when using the new Magic Keyboard). I don’t have to regularly ssh onto servers (just my local NAS and VPS from time to time), but when I do this really comes in handy! Unfortunately, since I don’t have a regular need for SSH (outside of work), I can’t really justify the subscription cost. I get everything I need out of the free version, but I wish I could pay the developer SOMETHING for how great this app is! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an SSH Client or CLI Solution app!

Great stuff. Great and awesome app to carry everywhere you want and use it to connect at anytime to your server through the ssh client it provides. No needs to carry your laptop with you all along the day. Just click on the app on you your screen and type some informations and you’re connected to your server as if you were with you laptop. I completely recommend it to everyone who is looking for something small and robust.

Lost all of my hosts config & keychain during sync. I’ve been using Termius for three years as a paid premium user. Their latest updates has significant flaws where it got the idea of syncing so wrong: I bought a new laptop lately and downloaded Termius as my first thing, however after logged in the app it automatically starts syncing all of the hosts config and was somehow corrupted. Then I tried to manually click the SYNC NOW and RELOAD DATA button on my account page and it start uploading the corrupt files back to the cloud… I’ve tried contacting Termius but haven’t heard from them for the past 48 hours. What should I do? And how do I recover the data? I’m being nice to leave a 2 star review, honestly this app has a major flaw, and the UX part could’ve done better: UI is just a pretty face, UX is the key.

Great Extended Soft Keyboard. Cleanest look and feel too., but SFTP is locked behind a sub. model. I’d drop $59 for this in a heartbeat and consider up to $99, but even that would only get me 6 - 10 months of use under the subscription model. I have no fewer than 6 Raspberry Pi’s running throughout my house (not enterprise business) at any given time. Oh how sweet it is to do all I could want from my new iPad Air 3 without leaving the Lazyboy in the evenings. Well almost all. Not sftp. I don’t mind copying my Termius public key around by hand. That’s a good enterprise-pay feature. Ditto for on going Mosh dev, automated execution snippets, and so on. Until there is a one-time purchase option for personal use, or sftp is moved out to free, I see this as a product for business users. I could not recommend this product to makers or hobbyists. If you’re getting used to doing functional things on iOS/iPadOS now, hobbyists may as well get used to the individual quirks of something else with sftp instead, if you haven’t already tweaked your setup or copied your keys around.

This app is great and so easy to use. I use this app to ssh into my laptops so I can get some real work done (thanks apple for putting a M1 in an iPad with such a limited OS). It handles keys and whatnot in such an easy to use manner. It’s a bummer that iPadOS kills anything in the background after 20 seconds so you can’t leave this app if you want to keep a connection open. Overall though, this app does nearly everything I want. It would be cool if we could have split windows like tmux/iterm.

Perfect all in one app. Used this to mosh/ssh into a google compute engine flawlessly. SSH Tunneling (port forwarding) works perfectly with safari as well for my Rstudio server. (Had a minor bug on iPad where my kernel wouldn’t connect to my Jupyter notebooks on my other server, but it’s probably nothing to do with this app and more to do with iOS, since the ssh tunnel worked fine as far as being able to connect to the jupyter server). There’s even an unexpectedly convenient workaround for keeping your ssh tunnels open in the iOS background through the location tracking option. Everything I could have asked for as a first timer working with servers. Amazing job Termius team!

This is an amazing application. I don’t usually write reviews, but wow. For a CS major, this turns an iPad into a serious production machine. I can connect to my Uni’s SSH and take advantage of the pico and VIM editors, as well as GCC for my school projects. I essentially have an entire development environment at my fingertips, weighing in at less than 2lbs, from anywhere; you don’t get much better than this after you take 10 hours of battery to back it up into account. Time to grab yourself a keyboard cover, or Smart Keyboard for a Pro user, and get to work. The paid features are great for professionals as well, just really not necessary for lightweight development. If you don’t have an SSH server to connect to with this, it makes it worth it to pay $5 a month for a droplet or similar cloud platform and load it up with tux, VIM, GCC, and all the goodies a developer could want to maximize workflow. The addition of MOSH support only makes this 100x more viable for this type of implementation as well. Keep up the amazing work!

Mostly good. Been using it for almost 2 years now, suddenly within the last month or so I’m unable to scroll while using screen. In some cases attempting to scroll causes multiple issues with garbage being entered into the terminal. In one case simply rotating(or changing the size of the app) my iPad caused this as well. All of this started after trying to load it one day and it crashed, even for quitting and restarting didn’t fix the crashing. I uninstalled and reinstalled. After doing this the keep alive stopped working and I’m unable to locate the option anymore. It use to use GPS to keep the terminal alive in the background. Now 10-20 secs after leaving, iOS sleeps the app and I lose everything I was working on, unless I’m in a screen, which now has the above mentioned issues.

Fantastic for remote coding. I’ve used the free version of Terminus from my iPad for about a year and by now I do pretty much all of my coding through it (I’m a deep learning and robotics researcher for context); as long as you’re comfortable working over ssh, the portability of an iPad coupled with near-universal access to the internet (especially if you have a data plan) makes remote work absurdly convenient. For anyone looking to get the most productivity out of this app, I recommend you also become proficient with tmux (or something equivalent).

Functionality is locked behind a VERY expensive subscription. I really want to like this app. It has excellent UI design which you don’t find often in ssh applications. My main problem with it is that a lot of its functionality, like SFTP, is locked behind a $10 per month subscription fee. That’s a LOT of money for an application like this. If it were a $30-$50 one-time payment, or a $5 subscription, I’d have no problem. For reference, 1Password is one of the all-time best utility iPhone apps for developers and it costs $4 per month. But $10 per month is $120 per year on top of all the other types of subscriptions that I already pay. That’s just too much. It’s 75% of a full-priced Adobe app. It’s more than I pay for Capture One. For an SFTP client. Why in God’s name??? I can’t imagine that they’re making as much as they could have if their pricing model included casual users and hobbyists as well as the professional user base that it’s currently priced for.

Can’t import SSH key via Files. I know it’s harsh to give this app one star for such a small reason, but it’s really such a basic feature it’s inexcusable. When adding an SSH key, you’re given an option to generate one, paste one, or import one from iTunes. I don’t have iTunes installed and don’t want to deal with that. If I have the key in the Files app on my phone, or in my iCloud, I should be able to select it from there. It’s 2022. The “Files” app was introduced three years ago. Every app that supports files supports the “Files” app. Get with the times and add an import option to select a key file from “Files” and you get five stars.

Replaced several other SSH/SFTP clients on PC/Mac/iOS. I have been in IT for 15 years at this point and have used basically every major terminal emulator and SFTP client there is on every platform (PC/Mac/Android/iOS/Linux/Solaris/BSD/HP-unix/et al.) Paid, free, doesn't matter, I’ve shelled out the cash to buy serious SSH clients. But none have really cleaned up the whole experience as well as Termius here. I can shift between any of my systems, iPad, iPhone, Mac, PC and share the same set of devices, public key auth credentials, and scripts. Nobody does it like this, at this level of quality, in such a great looking cross-platform UI. Yes, it costs money for the subscription. SO WHAT! Do you want to have a cloud service that does all the above and gets better with time while responding to new tech? You gotta help pay the developers that make that work. Just give it a shot, the 14 day free trial thing will tell you all you need to know. For me, I have paid upwards of $700 for other systems that provide these features.... on PC/MAC... but not mobile as well. So is Termius worth a few bucks a month? Of course. Would highly recommend.

Perfect app - a bit shady review prodding. I am a paid subscriber. It is cheap for what it does and it does it very well. I would have given 5 stars but docked a star for the following. The app asks you what you think of the app and gives you some smiley/frown faces to pick from. I picked the max smiley face. Then it asks if I would review the app and I said yes because it is an amazing app. It then pops up a screen to where you can give it 1-5 stars and looks like an Apple rating. I give it 5 stars and then it has a button "for Write a Review". I think I would not and skip that and then it just goes away. I then check on Apple and no ratings are there. So, they are basically tricking people to get them to Apple ratings only if they are already loving it. So the ratings here will be skewed by this.

I cannot switch keyboard in my terminal. dear developer: Your software has higher response speed between server and terminal. However, I cannot switch keyboard in my terminal. Because server will recognize “control + space” as what i input in command line like ”ctrl + c”, but actually it is the operation to switch language from english to greek keyboard for example. I sincerely hope you can develop some functions that i can switch my keyboard without exiting “terminus”. Thank you very much!

Great App, Bad Pricing Model. I love this app, and use it several times per week to mess around with my raspberry pi. It's very well-designed. I would also love some of the premium features like autocompletion, and would be happy to pay for them. Unfortunately, the minimum non-free pricing is a $9/month subscription! I definitely get value out of this app, and would probably pay up to $20 for a lifetime unlock of premium features. But I just can't justify a subscription. TO THE DEVELOPER: Please add an intermediate premium tier with a one-time purchase option. Maybe premium but without sync?

Fantastic utility. Very competent SSH client. Easy to configure, including for instances that need public keys. The killer feature for me: works on PC/Mac/iOS/Android and the config syncs automatically between all my devices. Add a connection profile on one device, it’s immediately available on the others. Great for anybody who uses multiple devices. Add a new profile on one device, it’s immediately available on the others. 5 stars for sure.

Nice functionality, overpriced subscription, broken functionality. I’ve used Terminus for about a year now for infrequent access to my hosts with an iPad or iPhone. Positives are easy to use, good configuration options, easy key syncing. Port forwarding works well. The main negative is the insanely overpriced subscription, an SSH app with all the bells and whistles should be a 1 time purchase, period. As a subscription what am I paying for? Support? No, features. I’d consider paying for this if the monthly price ($9.99/mo) was the annual price, but never more than $1/month for something that should be a one time $10 app (like this). The next negative - I’m not sure if I’m doing this wrong, but I swear the back button used to work even if I exit a session, now I have to kill the app to get out of an existing session. It works if I don’t CTRL+D or ‘exit’, but if I do either the back button to go to the app does nothing. Going to go look for a replacement that doesn’t have an abusive, rip-off your customers business model.

Great SSH Shell. Termius is a joy. It is a breeze to install, easy to use, 100% reliable, and visually appealing to boot. One minor issue is that the edit server buttons are a bit unintuitive—some explanatory labels would be nice to have. Another feature that could be helpful is feedback on failed connections: I stumbled a bit while configuring Termius to access my server via both a domain and an intranet because the software did not report whether it tried to connect through the intranet or through the open web.

Must have for systems admins. I have been using Termius on all my iOS devices. Though I wished they had a 1 off payment option coz the app is that good and they deserve the payment. I love the sync option and this is one of the best ssh apps I have ever used. NOTE: I am using the free version and would be willing to pay for a cloud sync service through iCloud but as a 1 time payment for individual users where it syncs to their cloud server and restores/updates from there. The developers stand a chance to make money by braking the services to have some that are monthly(for business and teams) and some that are one off (for individuals)

Best FREE terminal app. Finding a free terminal client app with no ads that gives you the ability to save commands and unlimited hosts. They do well at telling you what they offer with their premium services, but do not push it or ad pop ups like others. Or watch this video every time you connect. Apps like these, that give you your ssh connection and if that’s all you want then have at it, but if you want more you can pay are few and far between. I suggest using the free version, and just on principle alone purchase some premium or the premium app. They are constantly updating and very active. I don’t leave many reviews for apps. And yes, us Linux, bash, terminal snobs are picky…but they do a very good job at having options for everyone. From advanced to noob.

Probably the best SSH/SFTP Client on iOS. Termius is tough to beat when it comes to a clean, feature-rich SSH client for iOS. Everything else seems to not have as much polish or the barrier to entry costs more. Previously, the SFTP access was locked behind the subscription but has recently became a free feature. The subscription still exists and offers extra features like Touch ID & cross-device sync, but if you only use it for basic SSH access on a couple devices, it’s more than great with the free tier if you don’t mind re-adding your hosts on each device (I don’t really).

Newest Update is a Step Backwards. With the newest 5.0 update they made things worse. At least for my use case. I edit through the terminal a ton, and it’s always been quick and easy. I loved the gestures to scroll the cursor. But with the newest update that gesture is beyond slow. What used to take 2 seconds now takes 15. And that’s not an exaggeration and the is no way to speed up the gesture. There is an option in settings to make cursor speed faster but it does nothing. It’s very disappointing because this update basically makes it unusable for what I valued it for. I really hope they can roll back some of the changes.

iPad Pro 10.5 with Keyboard buggy. So while I like what I see with this terminal emulator -- it certainly has a lot of great features, I'm using it with IOS 10.3 and the new Pro 10.5. Using the apple external keyboard, causes scrolling to go off the screen, unless you tap the one line keyboard shortcuts away. If you background the app and then foreground it again, the shortcut bar is on top of the screen but missing all the icons. Tapping the screen twice fixes it and brings it to the bottom. Needless to say, external keyboard support needs a help with this release, but otherwise a feature rich program. Wish it supported RS232 via a Redpark Cable.

What happened to the snippets button?. This app was great but the recent update took the option away to use snippets inside an active terminal. The snippet button “{}”disappeared from the keyboard and there’s no option to add it back. I had a nifty maintenance snippet I’d run on my raspberry pi periodically. UPDATE: I figured out how to add the snippet button { } back. On the keyboard hit the 3 dots (top right) then the gear icon. From there press the “+ ADD KEY GROUP” text. Now just make a new group including the snippet button (located at the top of the button list). Boom.

Wow... premium is expensive!. App is effective. The lack of a keep-alive is painful at times, but it does the job for me >90% of the time. Premium “subscription” is now $60/year. While my essential needs are satisfied by the free version, the price really seems like gouging, especially since it used to be much lower. Too bad, as I would prefer to support the developer, but that is a lot to pay for occasional use and some features I don’t really want. $30 for lifetime is more in my budget, understanding that most lifetimes are a couple years at most.

Password locked without letting me set a password. When my phone was totaled by someone pushing me into the corner of a table, I could not transfer my settings to the new phone. I never set a password on my terminus, but now it requires me to enter a password to get my settings back I can’t get into the app and now it’s threatening to lock me out if I try to many times but what the &)($& is the password? This is less than useless because I just want to use the app I don’t wanna have to login and yet I’m forced to login to an account that is going to be locked because I never created a password and now it’s forcing me to enter a password, this app should be Dlisted from the App Store because it is unusable and the support is nonexistent!

Occasional users… read the user guide. I’ve not found a more functional and feature-rich ssh client for iOS. I don’t use Termius often, mainly because tapping on a phone is challenging, especially for long strings of commands that must be syntactically correct. Termius tries to help with that with Gestures mode (among other usability features), which you can conveniently toggle on/off. You’ll want to pay attention to that though—I wasn’t aware of the feature and it felt as though I was unable to scroll in the terminal pane (couldn’t see the entirety of command output). Same too with some necessary iOS input accommodations like “locking” the key in order to allow, say, -c. If you phone buzzes and it’s not behaving like you expect. Check for some of those other keys!

Used To Be Great, Now Pure Greed. Until recently I would have said Termius is the best terminal app, but others have caught up (Blink is excellent and reasonably priced but fully functional as a free app). Termius got greedy and shady. $120/year is insane - A YEAR. And they do this in a shady way by making it a “web app” so they don’t have to pay Apple their cut, even though without the Apple App Store they wouldn’t even exist. Add to this that they now also collect your data to sell to the highest bidder, it just screams “avoid like the plague”. The subscription price is just absolute extortion for features that many other apps already have, such as not timing out after 60 seconds. Do you need the silly bells and whistles that Termius thinks is worth the exorbitant yearly forever subscription or do you need a shell? You decide.

A very functional SSH terminal app. I have not had any issues with this app, in fact it has made it just way I use SSH on a desktop computer. I managed to work around the limitations of the iPad very quickly. The keyboard functions are a bliss, with some customisable keys. I have been connecting to my Linux PC, and Raspberry Pi with ease. Absolutely Awesome!

Was a - Good terminal. Unfortunately I can no longer use this app because my iPad is apparently too old. A secure terminal, using well established protocols, has been rendered unusable because of Human Interface considerations and an OS update. Dissapointing. --------------- previous version. ----------- I am constantly amazed that this app has made the touch screen so useable in what is a very keyboard-centric environment. I still prefer a keyboard, but in a pinch this is my go to terminal on the iPad. This app is functional with a useable user interface. Easy access to terminal special keys like Control, Alt and Tab. I use it daily.

Great for remote console on iPad.. I’m using Terminus for as remote controlled camera , it is simple to use and the connections are always robust responsive. I would recommend this app especially for anyone using raspberry pi systems via ssh. peter _ b.

Couldn’t paste command properly. Had been having same problem with all previous versions and latest. I have a very long command (with pipes) but couldn’t be pasted properly into the shell prompt. Kept having cursor running around, and commands mixed around, very messy. Couldn’t get things done especially with pasting commands.

Raspi Pi. It’s good for quick access to my piiiiiiiii’s brooooooo. Just totally sshing into my stack of pi’ssssssssss. From wan or lan I’ll ssh into anything bro no ones going to protect those sweet juicy ports when I’m around. I’m gonna get up in everyone’s ports!!

Brilliant. If you need SSH on your IOS device this is the App you need. I would buy an IOS device just to use this App for my SSH sessions.

Perfect, my most used app. Love it, use it every day to access multiple servers on my iPad Pro. Now that I have a physical keyboard, this is my most used app.

Port forwarding doesn’t persist. Very good app. Been using it for a while and I totally recommend it. Port forwarding, though, doesn’t persist in the background; connection usually terminates after a minute or so. Other than that, the app is really handy!

Everything you’d want from a terminal on iPhone. With the sole exception of maintaining sessions, which is an iOS limitation anyway (I mean just install tmux on your target machine), it’s perfect.

Really great app, but I have some suggestions. I’ve been using Termius for a long time now because of how easy it is to ssh into servers on mobile devices using Termius, but what I think could be added is the ability to edit files in SFTP, as while I can edit files using nano, I’d much rather edit it on my phone where I can easily go to places in the file and not be limited by the server (backspace speed, etc) Overall experience: really great!

Superb software. I’ve never used free software of this quality. One day if I get serious about coding I hope to subscribe.

Outstanding!. No idea how I got by before I discovered Termius for iOS. It’s one of the most used and useful apps on my device.

Great free option for command line terminal on the ipad or iPhone. Long time user of terminus - It’s been so long I forget the program I used to use before terminus. But it was discontinued. And so terminus filled the gap, and I have been happily using it ever since. It has a nice interface. Good features, such as ssh-keys. It works really well over VPN. It’s served me well. I appreciate that they have made a free option available all this time with few limitations. I will consider paying the full version to help support them.

Review. Honestly the best app, love the colours and all the features, would love to be able to change icons for different servers added though! Other than that, I rate it 10/10

Pretty Good, But.... It'd be nice to be able to customise the font. I'm using it for VT100 telnet sessions and the glyphs for graphical elements are munted (question marks in diamonds showing instead of horizontal & vertical pipes).... Also, it'd be good to be able to customise the keyboard key output per terminal... standard keys like tab, arrows, backspace etc are sending incorrect escape sequences to my server... I need to be able to configure what keys send...

No longer working in the latest update. Hosts are now unreachable. Upon further analysis, it seems the app now forces us to give it access to finding other devices across the network to make hosts reachable. As someone who is focused on privacy, I always decline giving apps this permission. And had even done so for Termius and prior to the latest update, it would work as intended. But now I have no choice but to give it access to the entire network. In which case I’d rather delete the app instead unless I’m overlooking something here.

Not worth subscription. I have been using this app for years even before it was bought out and changed names to Termius - but have come to realise there are apps now that are just as good as this offering, and have moved on. It was the subscription that killed it for me- priced way too high for what it is. Also - there were many community requests for certain features highly voted for that never warranted attention from the dev team. Felt like paying for nothing. It dreams. Moving off subscription, got sick of being pestered to subscribe. I no longer use this app - ssh pro does what i need.

It just works. I’ve been using only free version of the app and it just works without any fuss or issues.

Good app but Tab button needs attention. This app is great and I have been using it for years. Back before it changed names, the tab was easily accessible. Now it’s hidden away and tab is a sysadmins best friend.

Good but.... Great terminal app, just not happy that you’ve made the password paste a subscription only option. Also looks like the price has quadrupled.

Good, but buggy and unfinished. good, but advertised features are not in all the clients. The snippets are useful but could be developed in your bashrc anyway in some cases. The fact that it syncs across all my devices is very handy. Right click copy paste is also missing. Middle mouse button does the trick but it takes some getting used to. Overall an OK tool if profile syncing is helpful. Otherwise it feels a little unpolished. good support though for paying customers and it seems to improve with each new update.

Not perfect for individual use. I think the subscription cost is unacceptably high to an individual user who wants premium features like Face ID and SFTP but who only uses the app once a week for personal use. I think they’ve made a mistake by bundling too many features together behind the high cost paywall. Business customers could justify that cost if they use it everyday working in teams. An individual user doesn’t need all the features in the subscription. Please give us some choices for a one-time in app purchase. Let your business customers be your month-to-month subscription based bread and butter.

It was the best; today I’m unsure.. The worst thing is every single SSH connection shows a non-blockable prompt every single time to enable location tracking even if that’s definitely something you don’t want to do. The persistence of asking with no “permanent ignore” button feels disingenuous like the location tracking is for monetary reasons rather than an app keepalive bypass. Let us hide it! Otherwise; they recently listened to the community and removed the splash screen animation after its first play. That screen introduced a huge loading delay preventing instantly diving into a terminal. Being able to do that once more is a relief! But that location tracking prompt needs a permanent-ignore button as it’s taken it’s place.

Works as expected. Have not encounter any problems or limitations that would send me back to the App Store looking for an alternative.

Design at its best. I’m a bit of a dilettante in this space, using Termius on my iPhone, Mac, and PC to manage private servers for personal use—such a Plex media server running on a Raspberry Pi, a Minecraft server for friends and I, and a scratch server where I learned C++ on my iPhone while I was without a computer—but even I can see that Termius is beautifully designed, both in its visual polish, intuitiveness, and functionality. This app alone makes me wish I had more servers to manage.

Needs better entries sharing. It needs more flexibility with sharing host groups with and without credentials between multiple teams.

Super easy and well thought out. Get it for the swipe up command memory

Incredibly useful app. Amazingly convenient. I log into my network over vpn and keep working on my linux servers just as I do with my macbook. Handy not having to carry anything more than a phone.

Latest update deleted all saved hosts. Really the title says it all. Opened terminus today to find that all my saved hosts have been removed in the latest update. Not sure if a bad update or now this is a paid feature but really annoying. Going to loom elsewhere for ssh on apple devices.

Great App. I’ve always found this app very useful. The keyboard and shortcuts are great. Port forwarding is a great feature too; I use it all the time to access internal websites. The previous version was crashing on my iPhone 8, iOS 13.3 - but the devs fixed the problem in the latest release.

Need to fix background connections. Prompt has resolved with there connection manager work around, using GPS work around, need todo the same here. I think you need to put this at the top of the help page, Because I looked at this page however I didn't read the very last sentence on the entire page because I didn't think 'History' had anything todo with resolving connection issues.

Perfect. I can’t say anything less than perfect, although it’s a bit pricey for personal use!

Great s/w. Easy to use + fairly intuitive. Maybe cheaper solutions but this works well for me.

Amazing tool. Love it. Highly customisable. Combine with a VPN and it can remotely manage my servers and home. Shake as Ctrl-C is a good example of a productive customisation you can do easily.

Unbeatable. Unbeatable ssh client - set it up properly and it will be good for life. I live on a terminal & ssh connectivity, I know. Thanks. Amazing work and it only gets better and better.

Excellent. Excellent SSH client. Usable on a phone even, very useful when you are out and about and something has crashed. Now supports Mosh! Thanks!

Pretty solid. It’s pretty good, gives a good unified interface across many devices. It’s expensive for what it is though; if you were just using this on desktop use FileZilla and putty and you’re set, but I know no one is maintaining something like this on iPad for cheap.

It’s a pretty good app - but needs one off purchase. This is the type of app that I want to support. I’d love to give a one-off payment to support, however the subscription cost is absolutely astronomical / bonkers for what this app is! So unfortunately, you’ll never receive a cent from me. I think there’s lots of people out there with homelabs or those that like to tinker, but at $200+ a year for this app… there’s just no way people will cough up! I 100% believe you’re missing out revenue. Consideration should be made around tiering your product around - a free version, one-off payment version, and subscription version. Even if features were gated off by versions, i.e. new features wouldn’t be made available to those that made the “one off payment version”, unless they buy the new version.

Fantastic. If I could give this 10/5 stars I would! It’s free, ssh and Telnet work perfectly. Has a dark mode and a customisable keyboard - what more could I ask for? Great application.

Fantastic. Love the new redesign! They key groups under Customize Keyboard are impossible to view though.

Great App. I use it several times a week to keep an eye on personal servers and AWS instance on my phone or iPad. Access with or without ssh keys, clear interface, user friendly terminal interface. Great App.

Thanks Termius. It’s never been such a pleasure to program in pure Linux system on my iPhone and iPad , it literally changed my workflow. With a Bluetooth keyboard connected to iPad, the 3rd gen iPad immediately comes back alive with Termius, thanks guys you’re doing amazing works

Requires Account. This review is set to be neutral as I did not get a chance to try it because as soon as I opened the app it asked for me to create an account, I want an SSH app not something else to have my details or require a login for, sure have the login but it should be an option not a requirement

No problems at all. The only feature that I think is missing is the ability to have multiple concurrent sessions.... maybe I’ve just not found it

Fantastic app. Really enjoy the app and the features available, most easiest ssh application with features other ssh clients don’t support like Port Forwarding, SFTP and etc. Would it be possible to add an feature to allow multi servers to be added automatically possibly with an json api. For example name,host,ssh_pubkey, user.

Great App. After using this app for a while I was surprised at how well it functioned and how smooth / easy to use the interface is. Would recommend!

Does what I expect and more.. I don’t often need an ssh client on my phone but when I do Termius has been exceptional.

Makes remote working a breeze. This app allows me to not just check on my servers, but also to run simulations from anywhere and the multiple tabs allows me to transfer files between servers whilst out of the office. This app makes life so easy and I highly recommend it.

Good app, just too pricey just for the ability to send “tab”. I used this app for a long time just for ssh, that was until they decided to charge money to be able to use tab for autocomplete on the host device. Now I’ll have to use another app 😔

A handy and well designed app. Wouldn’t want to miss this app on any of my iOS devices to quickly manage a remote system via SSH. Key based auth. and grouping is well supported and designed.

Great remote client, except... …the last update wiped all my local configs: saved hosts, history, SSH keys - all gone.

Became intrusive. I liked it until it forced you to create or link accounts. I just wanted an ssh terminal. Delete.

Great product. Termius does exactly what I need for accessing Linux systems from the iPad.

Great. Use it all the time to do minor management.

Slick, works well. This is a great terminal client, especially when they have background running available for free users.

A breeze. Makes logging into multiple ssh servers a breeze. Supports key files, utf encodings and all that you're accustomed to.

$16 a month...Really ?. I find it absolutely disgusting that even small minor apps like these on the Apple environment see fit to ROB US BLINDLY with these ridiculously inflated prices...Disgusting

👍. 👍👍

amazing client. Thanks for sharing so many features for free and hope it doesnt change anytime soon :)

Excellent app!. Helps me update server changes via ssh in emergency situations. Very good app even when using the free version.

Easy to use premium ssh client. Using this is really easy as I tend to forget server addresses and having them ready to access is very convenient

Really nice app. Ruined by unrelenting prompts to subscribe. Every single time you try to do anything in the app it requires that you either pay $70 per year, $9 per month, or decline a series of 3-4 whole screen prompts. It’s become unusable. No thanks. I don’t think an occasional terminal app needs to cost as much as Netflix and, no, I don’t feel like letting you know that five times every time I use it.

Great SSH app. I use it on an almost daily basis. Great app with lots of useful and thoughtful details baked right in. Gestures are super useful. Highly recommended!

Very handy. Very handy little terminal letting me manage my servers over ssh. I wish it had a local terminal emulator too, but its great at what it does

Really good app i my opinion. Works well to remote into my Linux VMs

Great App.. Thank you

Used to be good. Now it makes you sign into google and other unnecessary things. I just want a simple SSH app!

Excellent SSH. easy to import key file, easy to use!

SSH server. Simple tool to connect SSH server. Like it.

Insane pricing plan. $135 a year for access to sftp? Are you joking? I'd pay $10 maybe even $20 ONCE for access to all premium features forever. All this stuff is free on desktop and in other apps stop trying to scam people.

Everything at your fingertips. Terminus is very powerful and flexible. It gives you all the features you need at your fingertips.

Works well. Works well for day to day ssh.

Fantastic app for SSH. Incredible app for SSH with a great built-in SFTP tool. Themes could use a bit more customizability though!

Great client. This is much like the PuTTY client I know on PC. Great to have this on iPhone for remote management. Thank you!

love it. Easy to use; adaptive keyboard; excellent for a quick check

Meilleur outil. Meilleur shell gratuit sur iOS. Aucune pub ou contrainte gênante forçant l’achat.

It’s good. Solid, just works.

Very well made app. Is super clean, love the design. Well written app. I wished there was one time pay option to remove faceid restriction only or certain elements. but the app works amazingly either way. Inspiring design.

Great!. Very nice app. Great for ssh. I use this quite often while on the go

no longer woking. live this app vety much. but the last upgrade broke everything 🙄

Nice terminal, some privacy reservations. It's a nice app with some well-made features. But there doesn't seem to be a way to upgrade to the pro version without signing up for their sync service, which slurps up all your settings and likely your keys. What are they doing with this information? How is it protected? No thanks. I'd rather use a lessor tool and keep my keys and information off some unknown cloud server.

Great terminal client BUT way too expensive. Great UI and feature set. A real pleasure to use, but $12.99 CAD per month to unlock all features? You got to be kidding me! I’d pay $20 one time maybe even $30, but cannot justify even their “discounted” price of $129 CAD per year. Pure insanity! This app deserves 5 stars, but a greedy development team force me to give it only 2 stars.

Ferociously bad. Fails at simple SSH (working on the same tablet with Reflection) but of course it wants you to log in and share all your private information. Uninstalled.

Garbage. Garbage

Nicr. Really nice. The only thing is the paid version which is abusive for a simple ssh terminal

Great ssh client.. Even without premium this is a great way to get in and run commands.

Way too expensive!. It’s a great SSH terminal, however the pricing is outrageous. I don’t mind paying for a good app to support the developers, however an annual subscription for this kind of app is unwarranted and it’s way over priced. To put this in comparison, Office 365 is cheaper (monthly and annually) and far more advanced than this.

Everything I need. Nice interface, easy to configure

All saved connections gone. After an update all the connections are gone even though known_hosts file is still there. Have to re-enter everything again

Crash. The app just keeps on crashing Also got an error says private key is not selected that I have never seen before in the old version

Works brilliantly. I’d always thought that a mobile ssh client would be hard to use, but this just isn’t the case. From the toolbar to the gestures, it’s almost as if the Linux terminal was made for handheld devices; editing in Nano, for example, is just as easy as it is on a desktop.

Very good. Very useful, good emulation, using it to connect to my raspberry pi.

Amazing app. This app hands down is one of the best quality apps that I've seen in a while. Also developers are amazing. I had a question and got a response quickly with clear instructions.

Really good. Makes ssh connections super easy, while still maintaining all required features, even on free plan

Pricing is outrageous. It’s a terminal emulator. Annual subscription? You’re nuts.

Le meilleur. Le meilleur client SSH parmi tous, prend en charge le sftp, snippets, port forwarding, etc… Hautement personnalisable, impossible de trouver mieux! :)

Does the job. Just one recommendation, please do a connection check to port 22 before asking to put username and password everytime

Crashes instantly on JB devices now. Used to work great, now doesn’t get anywhere without crashing. iSH is a much better alternative now

Outrageous pricing. Termius is a very, very nice SSH terminal but at the end of the day, it is JUST a terminal emulator. A one-time price of $20 would be reasonable. A $100 annually recurring cost is so outrageous compared to other IOS apps with much more functionality, the developers should be ashamed of themselves.

Best terminal app. …and it’s free!

The Best Terminal App by Far. I’ve been stalling on setting up Termius for awhile now because I’ve had everything in prompt. I can’t believe I’ve wasted this long everything that it allows me to do, groups, snippets, sync between devices and everything just works, extremely fast and responsive. I’ve had a few conversations with support and they’ve always been super polite and helpful, good product, good support; success in my book.

Great for headless Raspberry Pi. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to be as efficient with an iPhone app, but Termius has changed everything. The modifier key rows on the keyboard are great for ^c, tab, and arrows. I definitely couldn’t be a power user on this app, but it’s great for logging into my headless Pi and making quick changes. Would def recommend this app to anyone who doesn’t feel like busting out their laptop every time they want to rename a file or run a script.

Free version breaks formatting. Apparently my free trial ended today. The features in the free tier seemed good enough to me but what they don’t tell you is they will also break the formatting to render the app useless. Now when I ‘ls’ or ‘nano’ files the text goes off the screen. I closed and reopened multiple times and it kept happening. I request another trial for a different tier and suddenly formatting works properly again. Seems disingenuous to offer a free tier and then cripple the UI completely. It’s too bad because it’s a great app, but not great enough to warrant >$12 month forever.

Good but keyboard bugs. This is by far an amazing app for connecting to a ssh, but there are some keyboard bugs for iPads, when i first got the app, it worked perfectly, then later everytime i press something on the keys, it enters like ?? or backspace, or CTRL d or something, its really bad and i cant seem to enter any commands, meaning its unusable. If you could fix this, it would be really great and id use the app.

A great app, ruined.. Ruined by pop up and subscription model. I am an infrequent user on my phone and while the advanced features are nice, I do not have a need for them nor do I want any of this subscription model fad. Had this been a perpetual license I might have thought about it. Now the premium pop up splashes on and screens must be clicked through every time you switch to the app. Trying to copy configuration info from an e-mail is water torture. Going to find a replacement elsewhere. Let me know when you ditch this overpriced subscription dream you have.

Free shell. Awesome free shell/terminal app had come in handy homesteads of times now. Fully functional free with nice features added for premium. Would recommend to anyone with an iDevice that uses the shell or had need for telnet. I don't like the subscription model for premium features, but it's the model and not the added features that prevent me from upgrading. But even without, I love this app.

Fantastic Tool. But please dispense with the subscriptions. This is a fantastic SSH client that does everything I need. But I refuse to subscribe to get the rest of its functionality. So far I haven’t needed that functionality, so if you’re looking for an SSH client that does the basics well, this is one worth considering. I’d much rather pay a large one-time fee and get all of the app’s functionality.

Best just silly pricing scheme. This is the best app. Clean polished and curated, does everything you need to do. However the developers are nutty if they think I’m going to pay 10$/mo for this. Maybe I guess some people who are frequently mobile and travel might be willing, but you’d probably actually make more money having a few tiers as I’m happy with the free version but would happily pay more for a few extra features, just not 10$/mo willing...

Surprisingly simple. So many features but they didn't get in the way of my simple use-case. I can't honestly say I can think of a way this could be better. But the author keeps finding ways - I was finding tab completion more time consuming than it would be with a bigger keyboard, then suddenly there’s double tap for tab. Brilliant!

Feedback. The only benefit I have gained so from this app is that my ability to use it is null do to the fallowing error, (SKErrorDomain error 0.) I have been trying to establish a safe method of communication for all of my traffic. This has proven extremely difficult do to the extreme likelihood that someone has intentionally targeted me and has already established this connection, and is intercepting every last tap and swipe, if anyone with any knowledge of how this is possible and can help, please feel free to do so

Up And Down Arrows Need To Be On The Main Keyboard. Toggling between the keyboard and the up and down arrows is a waste of time. I use the arrow keys to repeat previous commands. Now I have to switch keyboard modes to get to the arrows and then switch again to get to the enter key. Can this be changed or reconfigured? Thank you. Edit: I found the keyboard configuration area. Much, much better now!!!

Deleted this app. In free version I had to generate private and public keys, copy private and public keys to notes. By the time it takes to post both keys the app closes the keys input page before both of them can be pasted, but something comes up and says syncing is a feature please upgrade. I refuse to be hijacked into a subscription . Guess I’ll buy another pc as any iPad is too difficult to use for such an easy task. Developer you can comment if you want but I won’t bother to read it when I get emailed about it.

Apps really just do not get better than this. I don’t really have a single thing I can criticize about Terminus - it is just amazing! It has saved my bottom on more than one occasion by being an actual functional terminal on my freakin’ phone! This was what the stuff of dreams back in the early 2000s! And now it is real and better than I had ever imagined! Thank you so much!

One of the best free SSH clients. Even among desktop ssh clients, this stands out. I have mostly used my laptop for any remote login needs that I have, but honestly the battery is terrible and it’s a super heavy behemoth to lug around. This app works well on mobile, better on iPad and absolutely best with a keyboard mixed in. I use vim a lot and that has steered me away from a lot of terminal emulators and systems which are unfriendly to that. The ability to remind the CAPS LOCK key to ESC is indispensable. This app allows that and more at the free tier. It has a clean interface and a very full set of features. I might consider making this my default SSH device.

Love the app, hate the subscription!. This is a great terminal app. My favorite so far. I’d like to support it, but there’s no way I’m going to subscribe to a terminal app. Even if there was a one-time fee of $20 for this, I’d buy it. And if they wanted to charge me for incremental feature updates that I probably wouldn’t need, I might even occasionally buy in just to support. But I’m not paying monthly fees. Reeeeeeeaaally tired of all the subscription plan nonsense everywhere.

Excellent terminal into Linux. I use this free version to open a terminal window on my iPad Pro into several Linux boxes. It's the best I've used out of several, even allows the keyboard extension to type accent grave (essential on Linux command line.) Also handles all character displays as if I'm actually sitting at the monitor in front of the physical machine. Beautiful!

Terminus is the Best.. Do yourself a favor and download this app. I've tried many other terminal apps out there and none of them compared to the power & flexibility of this app. I found Terminus a couple years ago, and it still continues to provide exactly what I need. I think I'll switch to premium account just to see what other awesome features Terminus could be capable of.

Love this app. I run a few servers from home and this is perfect for controlling them. It’s simple, elegant, and the graphic interface/themes are strikingly beautiful! I have nothing but praise for this app. I only use the free version, and quite frankly, it’s all you need. It’s simple, free, effective, and an all around great app. I highly recommend this to anybody with SSH needs at any level, from home brew server to the corporate environment.

Please give us the ability to change xterm settings and Smart Invert. I fixed the weird issue I was having with the emacs text editor, but it seemed to have been a bug that occurred because of the xterm mapping of backspace= ^H. You can turn this on or off in settings, but i would love even more control! Also please support Accessibility feature Smart Invert Mode on iOS 11

Five star for free version. Really like the free version. Helps to be able to do putty type operations on phone vs booting up computer. Wanted to support dev and get premium until I saw price. $60\year is ... well not affordable. Would be willing to do so for $5-10. Especially for personal use. 5* is for free version. 1* for premium as the cost is crazy.

Works great for ssh to Ubuntu, needs 80 cold. Works for what I need, but it needs to offer a font reduction so you can get 80 columns by 24 lines on portrait orientation on a cell phone. My last emulator allowed that, but that app was discontinued, and when I upgraded to a new cell phone I could not transfer it. (Stupid iOS does not allow discontinued apps to be transferred to a new phone if that app is no longer in the App Store, even though you backed up the app. So what’s the point of backing up apps?....)

IT professionals dream. First, the desktop and iPhone sync work perfectly! SSH keys, passwords, all settings ! It is wonderful. SSH tunneling is really slick. I take care of networks and PBX’s - my job is soooo much easier withSSH tunneling. The current model of using GPS data to keep the app running and connection open works perfectly. My connections stay open until I close them. Support for mosh is cool and useful. The implementation of SSH logs is way cool. Upon remote disconnect, Termius shows the log by default. I love the implementation of indexing the history file. It makes typing common commands really easy and useful. Finally, the dev team keeps adding more features. Sweetness Totally worth the subscription!

Great SSH experience, crazy expensive. Terminus has been the best SSH client experience so far. Very intuitive and just works well. I wish the pricing model was a bit different. $10/month for full features is just not worth it, anyway I look at it. I’d be ok paying some one time fee for non-commercial license .. up to about $30, lets say. Really care only about TouchID, Terminal Tabs and maybe SFTP.

Excellent App. This is an excellent app. The least I can give is 5 stars. Update: after using this app for years, my opinion still hasn't changed. This is an excellent app that has never failed me. I recommend it to everyone who needs a quick ssh/sftp access to their servers.

Enabled me to do a LOT more work from my iPad. Love it!. This app has never given me any problems. It works really well. My only thoughts are it'd be great if when you changed a theme for a connection it would take affect (seems to only affect new connections) and it would be cool if if could hold a connection a little longer in the background. But I think that is on apple.

Only had it for a few hours, but amazing so far.. So far everything I’ve tried has worked flawlessly — getting my keys in, defining all the hosts I need to log into into groups, all my keybindings, vile works perfectly. The app forced me to write a review only a few hours in, but so far I am MASSIVELY impressed, and the fact that all this is for free is just crazy. Well done, Terminus!!!!!

Subscription mistake. I was working on my local router using SSH. I saw the Go Premium button at the bottom. I clicked there just to see what this app offers. While my left thumb was on the home button. Suddenly a prompt came and my left thumb triggered finger print authorization. On the next pop up asked my password. Because I didn’t wanted to subscribe, I canceled the pop up. After 2 minuets I received subscription confirmation from App Store. I didn’t input the password when asked for confirmation; not only I didn’t input the password I canceled the pop up confirmation.

Held back only by Apple. This app works great for accessing terminals through iPad/iPhone. The only issue is the fact that the ssh connection is lost ~20 seconds after the app is back grounded, making it difficult to duplicate the typical workflow on a desktop. However, this constraint is one created by Apple, so any iOS terminal app is going to suffer the same problem.

Sixteen times the price of competitors. I enjoyed the free version of this app. I was ready to purchase the full version. I had my wallet out right up until I found out it would cost me $200 to purchase the full version of this app for two years. I have been trying various SSH clients to find which one works for me. This has some nice features, but my favorite feature of the competing app is that it costs $15 forever instead of a hundred dollars a year. I understand that the developers deserve to get paid for their work, but this app is not priced to compete against similar products.

Can't believe it's free. This app is really great, and still gets pretty big updates. There's a paid version I think, but the free version does everything I need. I just check up on servers occasionally. Obviously working on a phone isn't the easiest way to work on the command line, but it's functional, and you can assign volume buttons to different keys. And I have tried it with a Bluetooth keyboard, and that worked great.

Great app, great developers. I am brought here by the in-app popup asking me if I want to rate, and this is one of the few times I'm not upset at all! I love this app and it's great, the fact it's providing hundreds of features you may need during your shell access is absolutely amazing! Hats off to developers doing an amazing job

Incredible. Recently my 2015 macbook pro has been having some pretty bad days when it comes to battery. So, I have started to use my tablet more and more for answering emails, git messages, and now I can check on the status of my servers. This is incredible. Apps like these make the iPad a usable solution for on the go.

Turns iPad into a computer!. I use Termius to SSH into my server, and as a result, my iPad functions as a full-blown computer with many CPU cores and a GPU. I cannot recommend this more for those who need a command line on iPad as it works flawlessly. One critique is that there is a bit of latency between keyboard input and writing in the terminal. It doesn’t break Termius’ functionality, but it is a minor headache when writing and editing text in Vim.

Super Easy to Use. I have several headless systems that I have built, router, micro lab etc. and this program makes it easy to login and check and check them out on my iPhone. It is really easy to add users and keys for your ssh identification. It saves my a lot of time instead of having to do everything from my main computer. No complaints here.

Just love it - and free version available is awesome!. No ads or anything. Just a great, stable SSH client app for the iPad. It really helps me do my homework and doesn’t force me to stay chained to my desktop at home, or buy a whole new laptop just to access my school’s SSH to do projects and labs. Speedy and reliable! Thanks Termius Corporation, you saved the day!

Sketchy In-App “Trial”. Interface looks well laid out, however app is too locked down in the free edition, forces you to want the paid version —standard affair, nothing new. However, when I created a throw-away account to test the free trial, I noticed the Per Month and Per Year options both stated it would start the subscription on May 7th 2020.....it’s currently June 21st. I suspect it’s they’re way to scam unsuspecting curious people out of $10 because the “free” 14-day trial will automatically be over and the user gets charged the $10 for the month/whatever it is for the year. BE AWARE AND BE CAUTIOUS!

Outstanding product ... and customer service. Briefly, I encountered a problem using a Logitech BT keyboard with a new SE running iOS 13. No problem with any other iDevice, no problem with any app other than Termius. In Termius it was impossible to get the spacebar to work. Dmitry found a workaround: be sure Full Keyboard Access is disabled under Accessibility. Works for me. I also want to point out how quickly this was resolved. In the two exchanges with Termius support, I received a reply in less than 24 hours, from both direct e-mail and from Termius keeping an eye on its reviews at the AppStore. I’ve always liked Termius. With this display of customer service, I’m still more impressed.

Mosh support lets me use my iPad as a daily driver programming device. All of my devices run mosh and are on Tailscale so they’re all accessible from my iPad. This means I can just use my iPad as my daily driver, and my ipad has way better battery life. If termius didn’t use mosh it would be a much worse experience because mosh shows the characters in real time.

Expands the ability of the iPad. I use Terminus to SSH into a development VM. From there I am able to use VIM and TMUX to do my work. I am able to compile and test across various platforms all through one app. Kept me from needing to buy a separate laptop to do development work. Highly recommended if you need to do any kind of SSH work but also like using an iPad for other things.

Nothing bad to say. I rarely leave a review but this is by far the greatest iOS app for connection to an ssh server. It rivals desktop experiences, and it gives you everything you need. I work on my linux machine from my phone more than any other device I own at this point because the power in my pocket at all times.

Checks all the boxes for me…. Easy, straightforward key-based authentication, xterm emulation, OS identification, etc. Not much to dislike here. The subscription seems a little pricy, but the functionality provided by the free parts of the app is very, very good. It took me all of fifteen minutes to move to Termius from another highly-rated SSH app I had used for years.

Active Session. Was wondering if the ability for Terminus to have its terminal session kept alive and be prevented from put to sleep by iOS background sleep (which often occurs during app switching), is that a premium feature or can we check this out in paid subscription?

Nice software, insanely priced for premium.. Nicely maintained software that works quite well. But the premium portion is unaffordable for casual use or in my opinion, a personally provided work tool. $120 a year ($10 a month or $100 if you prepay a year), is literally the same price as the entire Microsoft Office monthly/yearly subscription (yes, nowhere near the same software, but certainly a professional software suite). Drop the price to $30 a year and I’d be subscribed indefinitely. $100? Plenty of other options.

No IOS12 support in new version. I wonder what the point of dropping support for older iPads could be for an app such as this. I love Termius, but I will be stuck with bugs and features until I have to purchase a new device. I maintained a subscription for several years, but can no longer justify that if I won’t be able to receive updates on my iPad Air.

Decent for free, paid version a scam. Subscription model for a terminal? The free version is very nice, they have stripped off features over the years (like longer logins, the free version now closes out a terminal if you switch off for more than 60 seconds) to get you into the paid model. I’ve switched to a one-time paid ssh client, as I won’t pay a subscription for a terminal. If you just need some quick server access this is a good program to get, but for more serious work look elsewhere.

Has same look & feel as Mac terminal. Great app. I need different colors to remind me which server I am accessing. This has the same selection as my Mac, making it easy for me to set the same background color per server. I can set the size of the text too. I use it mainly on my iPad but it is usable on the iPhone too. I can now fix things on the go.

Sophisticated and efficient. I’ve been using this for years across a range of devices and it continues to get better. Can’t count the number of times it has saved me a trip to a desktop or laptop by giving me the ability to connect from my phone or iPad.

Still finding new features to love.. For years I only used the Hosts feature for SSH. Then I discovered snippets and how handy those are. Then I realized I can easily create SSH keys and export them to my hosts. Finally I have secure servers. Then I was like, what, Termius does SFTP too? Just now, I discovered the Port Forwarding. It’s awesome being able to access my Cups, UniFi, Router, Portainer, Pihole, Homebridge web guis remotely through the SSH tunnel. No more poking various holes in my firewalls for those services.

Best mobile ssh. Best app I’ve found so far for ssh, port forwarding, sftp, etc. I’ve been sticking to the free tier and it’s allowed me to do all my usual work with the home lab. Only thing I wish I could have on the free tier is leaving a connection open in the background so I can swap between terminal and web browser and not have to log back in.

Great app with a little instability. I was blown away by how good and low-BS this app is. It's a straight SSH-client terminal that just mostly works. I took a star off the full five because I have encountered a little instability and because the on-screen menu interface doesn't really bring up options I want. I'd upgrade to "premium" immediately except I absolutely refuse to support the "subscription" model for consumer software.
