Wi-Fi Map is amazing!. I love this app so I try and download any Wi-Fi’s that I find available. Sometimes it really comes in clutch for me when I need it most download and help add to Wi-Fi net work now, please!

The best of its kind. Have been using (and contributing to) WiFi Map for a handful of years now, and really can’t say enough good things about it. Had several similar apps on my phone before (to “field test” which was more useful when on the road), and over time have deleted all the others. For reference, I live / work overseas and am basing my comments on years traveling throughout Asia (and to a lesser extent Europe). Hope this review helps other travelers.

WiFi Map. Great app for finding WiFi’s that have been added to the huge data base. It is not a hacking app, but strictly a way of finding free WiFi’s; some with passwords and some without.

Oh, the ads!. If you can find what you need in 8-10 seconds, this seems helpful. However, I was literally screaming at the screen in frustration because the ads are so frequent that I couldn’t get the address written down before another popped up.

Very useful app, most of the times…. I downloaded this app thinking it would be very useful for when i cant find wifi connection which happens to me a lot, it was quite useful the first time i used it at a nearby coffee shop, until the next day i came by another coffee shop and looked for the wifi password on your app only to find that the app kept crashing for some reason. I went home and tried to restart the phone and even re-install the app, but nothing seemed to work. This disappointed me very much that day and i hope you find a reason for why this happened and a solution to it. Thank you

Hi. There are 4 WiFis near us, of course, in our 10 meters, unless any of these are shown on the map, unless it shows a very far distance, can you tell me why?

Really great. Shows WiFi and how fast that WiFi is, and helps show you how close to the WiFi you need to be to get on the WiFi, which can help explain why it’s not working if it isn’t. Very good, at least for me.

Pretty good 👍🏻. It’s really good for traveling and etc. maybe I can use it as a magic trick 🤔 because it shows the hotspot password. Also, I figured out how to get rid of ads without paying. but I wasn’t telling how so it doesn’t get patched. Pretty good app

This app is amazing!! One thing that would make it even better…. This app has probably became one of my favorite apps on my phone! I travel a lot and sometimes abroad so wifi is essential when traveling. The convenience on opening the app and finding the closest wifi hotspot is amazing… However, a useful thing that has more uses than you would think, would be to have a search bar and you can search a certain location or wifi name and see all the results. For example, if I searched up “Chick-fil-a,” it would show me all the chick-fil-a wifi hotspot locations on the app. That would make it so useful!! Thanks for making a great app - Kyle

Awesome idea for an app - if it had current data. I’ve had this app for about a week and haven’t found a single active WiFi hotspot through this app that I can use. Nearly all networks that I’ve tried in my area (which is a large metropolitan area) are not there anymore and the handful that were have changed their passwords.

A good app but with its pros and cons. So the app is really good for getting wifi passwords for places. But it has so many ads and that is why it gets a 4 star. But I still think the app is very much worth it for wifi passwords.

Awesome. Great app and service and life saving if you neeed some WiFi in a bind or just want some free interwevs regardless of how you got to that point or not fantastic app and best yet you share enough undiscovered WiFi spot locations visas to the human eye you can slowly unlock the paid version of the app best one out there I think because it has its own e-sim , VPN go from free to paid just by actively assisting its own community what more can you ask for other then a rewards or point system to be a bit more engaging I see tons of potential or include a step by step e-sim tethering vpn guide for one time all access internet no matter where you at could honestly save lives literally keep it up fully support 5/5 you have the model core idea of what others try to be

Great trip toolkit and easy to use eSim. I was visiting in Israel and for four euros got one gig of data within five seconds sitting in a coffee shop. Your app is great. Kudos to the product managers and to the cool interface. Good Luck and keep up the good work

Authentic reviews?. The app is very aggressive with its ads. You must enable location at all times so it's not useful for planning. That'll only drain your battery much faster. App won't let me rate WiFi access points. Many are bogus like Joe's Basement. It's a good concept but the implementation is terrible. I'm also concerned with what data it scrapes from your device and if they resell it.

I’ve been using this for over a year- helps all over the world!. Hey so- I’ve been using this for over a year - and it helps all over the world! I found wifi on my trip to Portugal, Lisbon, Spain, Mexico, and in airports and subways and in a cabin in the woods using this wifi app!

Scam. Pirates your home wifi and you cannot delete. The app tricks you into adding your home wifi password and then it is impossible to delete your home wifi from their map. You have to change your home wifi password to re-secure your own wifi.

Its okay... but. I love it! But one thing... i got this in iphone 6 plus, and when i go to school it doesn't connect to the internet (im in reading central middle school) and when I tried to get it it said i need to pay. I dont have that much money, but keep doing what your doing ^^

Interesting Idea. Let’s see how it pans out — but app works well and the crypto rewards timed with the likely 2024 bull run, make this app a must have.

LEGIT!!!. This app is legit you guys! You can literally use your phone ANYWHERE and will have the passwords to everything!! It has so many other features as well. GREAT JOB FOUNDER!

Very Useful (especially in natural disasters). Just rode out a category 4 hurricane ida in New Orleans and had to evacuate. Having this app was great so I could find WiFi and start calling people when my service went out.

Favorite Wifi Finder. I am often always trying to find public wifi from my car so this app has been a blessing. I couldn't ask for something better.

It registered my wifi password automatically to the map and no way to delete it. Its automatically saving your own wifi password to the map for everyone to see it, its forcing me to delete it first then change my own wifi password to keep it secure and its impossible to remove it from the map

Incompatible with the iPod Touch. EDIT: I’ve been informed by the developer team that the iPod Touch is unsupported. However, this is not documented anywhere I can see, and the error message I get is unhelpful. ———————— Totally worthless to me. I just wanted a map of available WiFi networks. I downloaded the app, and all I get is a screen saying “a critical error occurred.”

Useful for Travel to Foreign Countries. When you’re traveling to a country where you don’t have mobile Internet, this app is fantastic. It will get you online without having to search or ask for Wifi passwords or deal with language barriers to do so.

It’s NOT as advertised. The application does work. - NOT worth a subscription !!!! The app does not really provide you with anything new - it only indicated previously found locations, and it is really not functional to the degree of keeping things updated so it’s nothing more than a dead app - it does not do anything once it has the locations indicated - It is NOT fully baked!!!!

The only WiFi app that really works!. I have tried other WiFi finder apps, and this one was the only one that worked due to the fact that finding WiFi enabled hotspots was quick, easy, and the maps actually worked! The only things that I don’t like about this app were the ads and they really got on my nerves, and it keeps on telling me to subscribe to the addition services that I can get, and I cannot afford them at this time!

App is convenient and finally has the features it claims to have.. Edit: the offline feature was missing for a long time, even though it was a touted feature. It has been added, so I wanted to update my review of the app to reflect that. As it stands now, app does what it states, which is a cloud-sourcing database of WiFi connections. It is convenient to make connections and can prefill passwords when a WiFi in the database is recognized. I continue to contribute access points when possible and have found the app is useful and convenient. I’ve contributed over two dozen WiFi points, and paid for a membership specifically to get access to offline hotspot data and it is not available. Even though the app description lists it as a feature, when I attempt to access it, a message pops up saying it will be available on the ‘next update’, yet The app has been updated 5 times since I paid and still it is unavailable. The app description should be accurate, but it is currently blatantly lying. I want my money back for a paid feature that is being falsely advertised.

Disappointing. My iPhone can already let me know the closest available wifi and whether I need a password or not. When I do come upon an open wifi this app tells me to walk to the location when I’m already there and won’t allow me to do the speed test or documentation because it insists on my walking to it when I’m there.

App serves no purpose. Not sure what you are paying for with this app on the Pro version. Even the free version shows no reason one should rely on this application. If you are looking for wifimap hotspots better resources exist for more secure locations and if you want Esim plans, go with a provider that owns significant telecommunications infrastructure. The VPN option is also a poor deal as well.

Great App— or Was. This used to be the gold standard for finding WiFi. But the developers took the app offline for a few years to update it, which is great— the new app is amazing. But in the meantime they lost all the users. Traveling the world and almost all the data is 3 years old, and only very sparse updates. Not sure how they can lure the users back- but might be worth ditching this app to find where everyone went while the devs were on hiatus. Life lesson: don’t take your platform offline for 2 years at the height of usage. People will _not_ come back.

Amazing App. Innovative idea and great encouraging rewards! Every time that you add a WiFi network, speed test, etc. you get points which can be used to get benefits like VPN, offline maps, and more.

It Works So Well. Ngl this worked so well and I actually got WiFi on these tough times 😞. This app doesn’t provide WiFi it tells you places that have WiFi near you like your neighbors WiFi. It also provides passwords 😁.

Doesn’t work free version.. I just downloaded this App. Walking around with cellular data off. Searched around me - not ONE of the hotspots they had showed up on my list or if it did saying “no password”, inevitably it was required. UPDATE. Developer contacted me to upgrade app to PRO. Hasn’t happened yet :( but I appreciate the gesture. Will keep posted.

Screwed over contributors that built the database. The submit review button asks if you like the app and you have to say yes to write this. The database of WiFi hotspots was built on the backs of longtime contributors who now have to pay monthly for the privilege. This app’s ability to crowd source updated wifi access points and passwords is going to suffer. Trust and goodwill are precious things. Think twice before using this app.

Amazing!. It’s been really cool to see all the work that a community of users has put into something like this. The fact the app hosts a Wi-Fi hotspot map, VPN service, AND even a global eSIM is pretty epic! Yearly membership with all the bells and whistles with none of the ads is only $35/yr so that too is super well worth it.

ESIM works well in Paris, France.. Just finished a vacation in Paris, France. I got reliable coverage with the Global eSIM. Data was LTE only, and mainly connected to the Bouygues Telecom network. I used data for Google Maps, WiFi Calling, Google searching/web browsing, and uploading photos on Instagram. The data worked well for those tasks. I recommend WiFi Map if you’re visiting Paris.

I appreciate the app and add networks to it often but please encourage speedtests or perhaps have a pop up for the option after the initial add so people know it exists. Very impressive. When j downloaded this app I thought I would be a scam and eventually have to delete it, I took the chance of installing it. Luckily I did. The app show many passwords and networks in my area and out and about. Although it has many just know that there is not wifi everywhere you go. But overall a great app.

👎 Waste of TIME and Money. Sorry to say, BIG disappointment. Great idea & design, just no quality control. I have extensively tested both the free AND paid versions. Covering the CBD & much of metro SA, I found more public FREE wifi hotspots on local government websites or with educated guesses than were shown on this app. ZERO success with password protected networks despite focussing on recent entries (most shown in app simply no longer exist or have changed).

Great app. It's an awesome app where u can get wifi, but, it would've been better if this app showed all the wifi networks because it doesn't even show my neighbours?! And the price for the full version should be put lower if they want people to buy it. But overall it's a great app if ur going out side or anywhere other than ur home.

Can not use due to ads. This app works fine until it loads advertising then the advertisement covers everything on the screen and it won't get out of the ad it just stays on your screen You must exit the app to get out of the advertisement This app can not be used because of this I understand the need for ads but when they stop you from using the app then go elsewhere

Freezes Often. Very disappointed that it freezes quite often and then unfreezes as you go. Especially while downloading. Paid for the add free hoping that this will not happen. Sadly still the same problem.

So get this. It works amazingly I had to go holidays and I got wifi in the car and in my beach house

Hadn’t tried the trial yet before they upgraded it and charged me. Just got a year of the PRO version for downloading the trial. I just got it and hadn’t even had a chance to try it yet

Handy app to have. So handy to be able to check out where wifi is before you travel there.

Lowering the price. The pro version's price needs to be lowered a bit so people will want to get it and will have the money to get it. I mean I don't want to spend about $5 on an app the I won't use that often. So at least lower it down to about $2.50

Great app best. When I bought this app I was saying this isn't going to work when I was at the pools the pools had internet and it said pools wifi I saw the app it said it to and I saw the password I got in it was a miracle 😀😄🙂

Awesome. Very good application with excellent help desk for anyone struggling. Fixed my problem straight away. I recommend thoroughly. Only negative is the UI is a little complex to navigate for absolute beginners but there is plenty of help if your willing to read.

Must have app when traveling with minimum roaming plan.. Such a well designed app, once you’ve granted permission, will automatically lookup password when you connect to a new WiFi. Still requires an internet connection (thus the need for a roaming package), but is so easy to connect and use.

Amazing app. Doesn’t use a lot of cellular data to find wifi hotspots and gives you free wifi. Who wouldn’t want free wifi! And I can even share free wifi! This app is just amazing. I just think that maybe the vpn and downloading offline maps should be avaible when you share a lot of wifi hotspots.

Easy to use, does what it says (best by far). While travelling I find this invaluable for finding locations with high speed internetto transfer media and saving my cell phone data. It was super easy to add some access points and earn unlimited map downloads too.

Don’t use them for eSIMs.. I got a 10GB plan with them and only used 2GB, but through some unknown passage (neither me nor my partner) The rest of my GBs were taken through my personal hotspot (after I noticed the first 4 disappear, I turned off my hotspot, so I have no idea how this happened.) This has never happened with any eSIM I’ve had before. They were unable help identify what happened or refund me even though I didn’t use the GB in my plan. Big waste of money. Also the set up process was complex and the interface is so busy, it seems this is not an ideal app for eSIMs. It’s designed for something else and the eSIM function is basically an afterthought.

Beware of misleading scam. I had the free version of this app on my iPhone. I then download the FREE version of this app on my iPad about 2 weeks later. When downloading it on my iPad, the only option was to accept the ‘FREE TRIAL’. As soon as I accepted what was clearly prompted to me as a 3 day free trial, it charged me $40 for a yearly subscription. They completely lied about a free trial and I was essentially scammed out of $40 for a stupid app that I will never use. Highly recommend staying away from this misleading company.

I had to talk to three apple support agents and they could not identify or solve the issue the app was causing. Deleting this app was the only solution and fixes my issues. be careful. good app no complaints, however i’ve noticed it’s taken a lot of battery usage without the app being open, and it’s been messing with my wifi for some reason. uninstalling the app fixed my wifi issues and battery, hopefully developers see this so they can improve the app for everyone.

I tried it for 5 minutes. I tried it for 5 minutes and it didn’t work for me at all. I am looking for something more than this with far more capabilities than this has. NOT FOR ME!

It works. Perfect for traveling

Doesn’t download for iPad. I’m in iPad and when I download it is still loading. The next day is still downloading so l check my Wi-Fi Signal and it was great. Please fix this issue

Doesn’t work. I travel a lot and the very few times it actually found wifi, the password it gave me never worked, not even once. Great concept but it doesn’t work.

Not Free. I bought this app because I will use it when traveling but it’s forcing me to buy the pro version of it I really need some thing that I can use and isn’t pricey

Atrocious ads. Had this way back when and forgot why I had uninstalled it. Installed it again today and remembered why: seriously atrocious ads in the free version. I uninstalled it in less than a minute.

Idk. It is a good app.. But one thing is that I don’t know how to get them wifi passwords when I’m at a restaurant or something. I’m still struggling 💀Please help me figure out on how to get the passwords

Pretty reliable. Would recommended for the most part.

Disappointing. I expected to be able to get access to wifis near me, but apparently it just shows the closest crappy free wifi from like starbucks or stuff along those lines. Really disappointed, and I cant update my computer now.

Love the gamification of this app. The app is absolutely easy to use and bunch of Wi-Fi networks while the gamification is so fun!

Keeps Closing out. When I download and open the app, it shows me the loading screen and then shuts out no matter what I do.

Useless. I remember this app was a life saver in the past. It actually gave me a map of WiFi’s close to me and the passwords were typically correct however, now you see like 10 WiFi’s half a kilometer away from you and that’s it.

Terrible. Lots of ads that ask you for kore information. I get that is the business model but there are so many that this is unusable.

Not working. I downloaded this app and out of all the wi-fi’s there was only one on my map so i told my brother if we could go to the park and find more wifi but didn’t find anything only that one wifi that was on my map

lol not worth the time apparently.. when i downloaded this app, i thought it’d be like a hotspot or something like that. i didn’t realize you’d have to go to the location for the wi-fi. this doesn’t give you free wifi. you have to go there and get it yourself. what’s the point of this when i guess i could walk myself to the mcdonald’s. not what the ads implied at all.

Wifi keeps disconnecting. Everytime i turn my Iphone off it get disconnected from the wi-fi , when I deleted this app the problem vanished.

This app consumes A LOT of data. Wifi map appears to run constantly in the background - when i checked my cellular breakdown it accounted for 50% of my data usage and i never even opened the app once in that period!

Please, don’t even try the free trial. I signed up, but the info the app had was very out of date. I unsubscribed from the subscription a few minutes after trying it, but they still tried to bill me for the annual subscription.

Great app. I’m so happy that the developers made this app, it help me connect to my school Wi-Fi because I forgot it but yeah great app 10/10!! 🦫

I wish I had pro. I had a good time with this app until it started acting up so I wanted to go pro but I don’t know if I could trust it so please let me know and if I could get pro for free to check it out

Incredibly misleading.. The description and images lead you to believe this app lets you view submitted WiFi passwords. Nope! You have to pay $30 for that.

Not useful until you subscribe. A nice app and well designed, but if you want to find passwords for WiFi networks, you’ll need to pay for a subscription.

Disappointed.. Upon downloading this app, I had high expectations. I believed that when I opened the app I would be getting a ton of options to connect to near me, only to find out that crappy food place’s wifi would be my only option. Was really hoping for more.

Charged Me $15 Even When I Deleted It The First Day. I was looking for a WiFi app and downloaded this one to try it out. Deleted it when found it was not the right one for me. They still charged me a $15 fee for a year subscription… give me my money back app people
