Countries. Since I live in the U.S I was hoping that they would add the US and other countries and it would be great us and other people who also want to shop in the app that can’t purchase because they can’t ship in their area. If they could do that, that would be wonderful!

Getting worse. I’ve been using carousell for about 5-6 years now because it has been a good platform within singapore to buy/sell things. But over the years some of the new features have been extremely confusing to use, and it’s clear that carousell’s motive is to make money instead of just providing us with an online marketplace. I have switched over to depop and I find it so much better, many things that carousell can learn from and they also allow users to buy/sell internationally!!! The only reason why I’m still using carousell is because it’s still what most locals use here in Singapore. The new feature which allows users to only have 30 new listings is absolutely ABSURD. to have more than 30 listings, we would need to purchase a carousell business account which is literally crazy as it costs so much money! I know many carousell users who are upset over this and if weird features like this keep coming up, no one will use carousell anymore. This is extremely upsetting as I used to LOVE carousell but now I find myself using other platforms like Instagram or Depop to sell/buy my things. I would not recommend carousell to anybody until things go back to before.

Love browsing with Carousel. Choices is wide and was able to put gas. I have a very pleasant experience with Carousell. I was able to communicate with ease with prospective buyers and sold few items in a matter of 1 week. I'm a happy user. It’s user friendly and I’ve recommended it to my friend

Promote Listing Facebook Link Failed. Still same issue. I was trying Promote Listing to Facebook. It will ask me to login in Facebook (which I already did but I still tried) then after clicking Continue, error will say “Linking to Facebook failed”. I tried to unlink my FB account. So same procedure in Promote Listing, it will successfully link. But when I click share, it will hang for a while then say “Failed to upload. Please check you connection and try again.” I’m connected thru my wifi so I don’t think its a connection issue. It’s a app bug.

App crashes. App crashes after viewing a few search items. As you view more items loading becomes slower, till it crashes.

Simple fun and effective. I’ve been using Carousel in both Singapore and Hong Kong and it’s one of the easiest platforms to find second-hand items. The ability to buy and sell easily, “like” items so that similar ones are suggested to you, and leave reviews for each transaction builds trust between users. Thanks team!

My go-to-place for spring cleaning. Really easy interface and access to buyers. Managed to give second lives to a lot of household stuff through Carousell within a matter of days.

Sloppy Dev - No US Support. I downloaded this from the App Store (I live in the US). I attempted creating an account a few times but each time I received a generic error with no explanation of what I needed to correct. I contacted support with a screenshot. They told me I should not use capital letters in my screen name. There would be no way of a user knowing this since it doesn’t state that on the registration page or in the error message. Additionally, the app doesn’t correct it for you. I could only imagine how many other bugs live in the app if they couldn’t even develop the registration page correctly. The other problem is they don’t support the US market yet they have the app in the US version of the App Store. Makes absolutely no sense.

Notifications are so misleading. I keep thinking I received a message but it’s the annoying carousell news. I click read all but it still shows up. I might need to delete this app soon if they developers don’t get their act together. Please add filter for seller ratings so we can filter accounts with bad reviews. Too many fake accounts with no reviews selling counterfeit products.

Sold in 6 days!. It is my first time selling an item online. I listed my piano for sale on Sunday and sold it in 6 days! The piano just got collected today...the process was amazingly simple and fuss free compared to my experience going through a second hand piano company. I will definitely list other items for sale on Carousell in the future!

Bad update. Carousell developers have created a great market place. But this latest update is sloppy. The browsing tab loses your place if you respond to a chat. If you go back to browsing tab, you have to start over! What?! To make matters worse, I get an email asking me to write in when details are already given above. Taking away another star...

Check carefully what you by because Carousell will not care. I made my first purchase from a seller who had posted fake description. I checked while meeting in person but when I went home to double check again, found out the person had lied in his description. It turns out I can’t post a negative description about the seller until Carousell reviews my comments. This is a modern version of Craigslist from the past. Prefer eBay because it takes your claim and disputes on seriously! With Carousell, you are all on your own. App wise, it’s ok! Just another shopping apps among many! The seller deleted his messages in Carousell chat so there is not a whole lot I can do.

Inconsistent App. I discontinued my subscription after 1 year. So obviously I had the impression that my latest listings will be kept and the rest deactivated. Instead, the app randomly took 30 listings and activated it. Rest of my postings including my most recent ones were deleted at random. Obviously, without a subscription, I am limited to 30 listings. The app should retain the latest 30 lists or some sort of logic e.g. most likes, most clicks etc. But not random picks!

Scammer issue is HUGE PROBLEM. I wanted to gv a 5* but after the recent incident of losing more than RM3000 from a scammer in Carousell, and how badly Carousell handled the situation. I am forced to put 1*. Why? 1. Carousell didn’t even allow me to post the scammer’s account and my proof on scamming incident because ‘they want to keep Carousell a happy place for everybody’. 2. There’s nothing much they can do even when I gave them proofs and also a police report copy they asked from me. I try to cooperate but it is such a waste of time.

Good but could improve. Carousell is a really great app and I’ve used it for many years. The only thing that annoys me is that there is no selection for US when choosing your country. I moved from Singapore so now I can’t use the app the buy or sell anymore. Would appreciate if you could add in more countries.

Too frequent updates. Why does this app get updated so frequently resulting in constant prompts? New format to view images is a step back. Before you could tap and immediately view and zoom images now there’s a another step to view a strip then tap again to view and zoom. Please take away unnecessary taps,not add them.

Please add the US and other countries & improve the app and site 😑. Since I’m from US, I made my profile under Singapore, even though I’m not from there. Though I really do want to buy certain things that I liked on Carousell, I only made a profile to see what it was like on the app and site. I did see a few issues they need to fix that a lot of people, even from the countries that are available on the app’s ‘reviews’, are talking about, but overall, in my opinion, I think it is a ok app and site for buying and selling certain items. Sadly, for me and possibly everyone else who are not from these countries, it would be difficult to buy or sell anything, even if they have PayPal. For those countries, I think that issue will need the most improvement. To the Carousell staff- Please update this app so that US and other countries around the world can finally use this app. I understand that you are improving this app app as best as you can, so that your customers will have better experience while using it. But, I suggest that you should at least add these countries since they are available in the App Store. I will be patient to see if it will available. A nice place to buy & sell used goods. Easy to post as its interface is mobile friendly. Just snap a photo of the item & embed it. Do a simple write up about the item, expected price & sealing method. Voila all done. But do be careful of potential scammers & not to be so trusting of postage delivery

Good but can use some improvements. The app is good for selling new and used items due to its convenience and high volume of users. They also have a customer support team that replies within minutes. The only problem I have is sometimes the app doesn’t operate smoothly as expected. Loading messages and user pages are sometimes delayed. Other than that, it’s been going well.

Notifications not working in ios. Don't know if anything was tweaked in the latest update, but notifications are not popping up for ios users. At least, for me. It's frustrating because the impression of the counterparty is that I'm not responsive. But it's very hard to be... when I don't know they are reaching out. Hope you can fix this soon. It's frustrating.

Changes in Algorithms make Selling a Nightmare. On Wednesday (Jan 23), I realized that none of my listings were showing up on any search results. Clicks have drastically fallen and new chats have become completely non-existent. Upon contacting Carousell Support, they simply threw me a link to one of their latest listings highlighting the “Changes in the Ranking Algorithm”, with a solution: Buy Bumps. Essentially, Carousell is making it such that you can’t sell your items without paying them money to use the app. This is extremely disappointing and inefficient to all parties. Buyers can’t find the items they are interested in, Sellers can’t sell any products, and Carousell is all the more, not getting any of my money. I hope the management reconsiders this change and puts the old way of buying/selling back in place. Till then, Carousell is no longer a worthwhile place to do business.

Useful and convenient. Since I joined Carousell, I discovered that I am able to see a lot of items in various categories. Useful and convenient to buy and sell! I strongly recommend others to use this platform.

Would be a great app if they allowed you to sign up. I am in the US and found a bra I’ve been searching for online for months. I am so excited I can finally buy it! But not without making an account and not if you’re living in the US. So sad. I think this is ridiculous and I’m very sad that I can’t buy this now. Please make it available for people in the USA, I could be a great customer if you allowed me to be.

Great app enabling a vibrant c2c community. Love the app. Been great so far, with one major bug that annoys me to no end. This is the bug where it doesn't remove notifications once read. It's always got a red bubble. I know I can remove it from my settings but then I won't get message notifications too. A carousel engineer I know says you're aware of this so please do fix it. Otherwise love your app. Thabks!🤗

Errors and bugs. I first made my account and instantly nothing was working it’s says something in wrong or bad request try again late but still never works all I see is blank screens and If this keeps happening I’m just gonna delete the app I can’t access to settings or anything

NOT AVAIL IN THE US. Tried to setup an account using both available methods offered (Via Facebook or email address). Nether worked. Upon reading some more reviews, I ran across a review stating that they were having the same exact problem, and the developer replied to that review stating that this APP IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE UNITED STATES. MESSAGE TO DEVELOPER, why list and waste people’s time in the US if it’s not available?!?!? You need to remove it from the US Search if it’s not available to us!!!!! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

Not Supported in USA. I was excited to give this app a try. When I tried to register an account, it said the country I selected is not available. Nowhere in the App Store did I read anything that said it’s not available in USA. Do you have any plans to make it avail to the USA?

Spammy notifications. notification settings in the app were reset to allow notifications (“listings you’re interested in” and “from carousell”) which I disabled previously. they also use transaction notifications (which I allow, because you need them to get message notifications) to send you even more ads asking you to boost your listing and how your listing is priced higher than others. those are definitely not transaction related.

Sign-in Issue. I’m rating one-star temporarily, I’m getting errors for anyway to sign-in with facebook, or even registering. The app recommended me to sign up through their website but the website provides a new issue. When signing up, you’re required to select your country which is supposed to add the “1” for my US phone number, but there is no United States country to select, therefore I’m not able to sign up with my phone number which means no sign up at all. I would really like to be able to use this app as it looks inclined compared to apps.

Useful but some tweaks would help. As an avid thrifter and DIY-er, Carousell is one of the apps I use the most. Have gotten some great deals on here. I do wish the search algorithms were smarter though, sometimes the results are MAD. would also be great to be able to search within your own “liked” items.

This app does not work for me. Update! This app only works for non USA , which is a shame they could be making soooo much more business. Lots of errors and bugs on this app, it rarely lets me list items and when it actually does go through it never shows that I have any items for sale.. I’m guessing it hates iPhones which is sad because I was really looking forward to trying this app out. Also at times when I try to list it gives me options but sometimes it doesn’t.. I just don’t understand why this app is like this , it’s frustrating though.

Smooth operation. Listed item and within a few hours had an offer. Buyer offered and we agreed on a price. Meet up to pass item was smooth. # Harshana 👍

Great venue for online sellers and buyers. Easy to use app, very convenient to buy and sell. Been using the app for almost 3 years now and I must say, I've been able to buy and sell items conveniently and at very affordable prices. Reviews from both buyers and sellers help me to verify accounts and trust the seller or buyer I'm transacting with.

Listing quota is a nuisance. I like the ease of use of the Carousell app. However, having a small listing quota and charging an exorbitant amount to add additional ones is a pain. If the fee was small I would have been willing to purchase it. But we are selling secondhand products here, it’s hard to make money but they charge so much to even list products.

Carousell used to be good. I have been using carousell for about 2 years now. The first year was great. I sold almost 7 things out of 20 that I had listed. I could see activity on my listings and I would get a notification at least every other day. The sales helped me as I am university student. Ever since they initiated this coin thing and my profile has been dead. I barley get any notifs & I barley sell anything. Even slashing the price of my listings to almost half didn’t help. Nothing. They want us to pay money to make our listings show which doesn’t even make sense. The app is supposed to show my listings regardless. Just take a percentage of the sales like other normal apps? Why should I pay money to SELL something? Not to mention the ads bombarding and the useless giveaways or promoting influencers?

Better than any other business app. Carousell User for 2+ years, used to be a Great App Update: Carousell messed up the feedback system. The buyers or seller says they clicked on 5 stars and yet the feedback becomes 3 or 2. Mistakes and feedback cannot be edited unlike on other apps as people can have a change of heart or mistakenly post an unfinished feedback. There are also too many accounts which are inactive or unverified that messes up the feeds too. There are accounts that repeatedly being featured. I tried purchasing bump on my two listings, expensive and ineffective in my opinion prices should vary in each category. Carousell was great when it started right now yes I can still sell and still works for me but it takes a lot of time and effort reposting and disappointments.

Good app, wrong business model. Good app for selling any item, large content, easy to use, helpful chat function, but there are issues. On the platform model, stay away from the coins, as it’s not a global app, nor a superapp, so there’s no added benefit in getting into that unless you’re a Carousell junkie. A simple fee off the selling price would be a better revenue model. On the market place issues, beware of many bad buyers, known as low ballers, who are offering far below asking prices and will waste your time. Also beware of many bad sellers, who sell well used stuff, often poorly maintained, for close to new price, especially with electronics. Some even price items above the new price. Do research first, before engaging with sellers.

As an individual seller / buyer. I start to earn ll sell my preowned items after few weeks, well definitely you need to be patient ; for those who says thy can’t sell , and you need to deal with a lot of people with respect because you would never know who is going to buy , this is great I start to trust the app and I’m happy and nevertheless it is free .

Great!. Absolutely love Carousell! It’s my go-to app for buying and selling everything from clothes to electronics. The interface is intuitive, and the community is friendly. Highly recommend for anyone looking to declutter or find great deals!

misleading. I don’t want to seem like a shopper that got grumpy because of bad sellers, but I’m gonna be honest in this review. I have messaged 11 sellers, all for k pop albums, and have gotten little to no responses back. Now I understand this itself is not because of the app, but what is misleading is that they get badges and stuff for being fast or slow responders, and ALL that I have messaged have badges saying they are fast responders when in reality that is no where near the case. It tells you about their activity status, like when they were active last, and a lot of the time I will have messaged them two days beforehand and see that they were active twenty minutes ago. I feel that they have to be much more direct with giving these sellers badges, because in the end I am not able to purchase from this app because of their lack of interest. How am I supposed to buy things without knowing how much they are willing to negotiate, or if they prefer PayPal or a card? PLEASE get I touch with your sellers! Update : It’s only gotten worse, I’ve waited a while and MULTIPLE sellers just leave the messages seen. It doesn’t matter if you’re talking to or asking a seller about a certain product, they so easily just take it off the market. Not only that, but they keep things up WAY after they have been sold or reserved, and the sellers are honestly not the best. Please have a talk with them on making things more clear!

Terrible App. This app continues to return bad error messages when trying to really do anything. I tried contact support and it’s an endless loop that gets you absolutely nowhere. I design apps for a living and I would fire the developer who is responsible for that before I do anything else. What a joke of a user experience. Imagine if you’re account is hacked or worse, and you actually need to speak with someone… good luck using this Elmer’s glue and chewed bubble gum platform.

Scammers’ paradise. While the site is still functional, it’s not nearly what it was 5 years ago because the scammers have taken over. We’ve been scammed twice this week, and that’s not including the ridiculous lowballers — I’m taking actual empty-your-bank-account criminals. Fortunately we know what to look for and didn’t lose a cent, but obviously others are falling for it or they wouldn’t be here. This is an existential threat for Carousell.

Finally a good experience. It seems the app has done a lot to upgrade its security measures against and remove scams. Am slowly learning to trust the app again. Kudos to their team. I just did a deal on their site and it went smoothly.

So easy to use!. Love Carousell for years! It’s my go-to now for all my buying and selling of pre loved goods. So easy to post stuff. Hope they’ll release a feature where you can check out multiple items in one transaction.

Issue with Apps. I’m newbie here, find the apps frustrating as always got this- tap to reconnect or failed connection issues, messages , comments are delayed though perfectly connected to my net . On top of this nowadays notifications doesn’t notify me at all! It’s a great app to widen network and sametime make some money and helps community massively, hope you guys can resolved the important issues which is communication!

like this app. I like that it's easy to use, I've been using this application for 7 years, it had been disabled for a while and came back again, it's a shame all my reviews and followers are gone

Impossible to change system message language. I am currently living in Malaysia where English is used everywhere. All of my adverts are in English. All of the communication to me is in English BUT for some reason all of the system messages to me are in Malay. A language I don’t know as I am not from here. So I get messages that I guess are about renewal or whether something has been sold or not, but I am guessing. I have struggled through the useless help system to see if it is possible to switch the language but it seems it wants to be too smart and force a language on you. I can only imagine it is like this in Thailand, China, Korea, Russia and various other countries . This should be EASY to implement in the settings area, but it isn’t. Please fix

Easy and convenient app. I've had good experiences with this app it's easy to upload pictures and post items for sale. Also easy to communicate with interested buyers. I use PayPal for the extra seller protection and use auspost tracking services to make sure my item makes its' destination. It's really a great platform. There have been scams on this app but most buyers and sellers are genuine people attempting to get a great buy, build their platform, or make some extra cash. Unfortunately there are people who abuse the purpose of this app. I would recommend this app for both buyers and sellers

Incredibly efficient market place. I only started posting a few weeks ago but intend to use this platform to reach a diverse audience for my products. I was very positively surprised by how easy it was and the quality of buyers is also very high.

Fast & Easy. I’m brand new to Carousell. I spent the last few days looking at cars and yesterday I bought my dream car from a very helpful seller. This morning I listed old own car, although I really thought it would take awhile to sell, if it sold at all. Within the hour, though, my listing had lots of action and by early afternoon I sold my car. Yay for Carousell! I can’t imagine it being faster or easier.

Great little side hustle. I joined Carosel nearly 3 years ago as a way to rid myself of excess stuff and try to make a little money on the side. It’s very easy to use the app and communicate with potential buyers. It costs nothing to use, which is why I joined in the first place. I’m still enjoying making a bit of extra cash

Safe and secure. So much better than Gumtree and Facebook marketplace. Love that it has secure money hold and once the item is released then the payment is released. Fantastic app to use and have had zero scammers compared to other sites. Just such a shame that it’s not as popular in Oz as it was in Singapore. Hope this app takes over gumtree as 50% of enquires on gumtree are from scammers. Please invest more in marketing in Australia and offer the same awesome features.

A-mazing. I joined carosell a couple of weeks ago and am so impressed already! It's so good if you need a bit of extra cash or if you just need a good clear out of whatever it may be - clothes, gadgets, books etc! The app itself is so easy to use and navigate and the best thing is that it's free!

Carousell ❤️. This app really changed my life in a good way. I say this because I’m young, still a student in high school and can’t get a job. I was in need of money like all the other students. I had many items and video games that I never used etc.. This app helped me sell all my items and I ended up making a great amount of money. I also ended up becoming a highly known seller with lots of reviews (positive ones) a very recommend app. Must download!!

Where’s the dark mode? This is 2021. Really like the app. However one thing which is really annoying is that there doesn’t seem to be an option for dark mode. This is a real deal breaker for me. Would love to see a dark mode in an upcoming version. Thanks

Great way to sell those things collecting dust in the house!. I am new to this app, but this so far has been a great experience and a good alternative to selling things online. So far I have sold a few items and I am very happy with the way the app works ... worth trying it for yourself :-)

Good site for scammers. Its a good buyer and selling place for cheap stuff. If you are buying things more than $50, then younhave take extra measures yourself. Ive been scammed before and after that i noticed there are sooo many scammers on this site, especially with electrical, phones and designers stuff. They have many knicks and knacks ways to scamm you SO BEWARE. I reported to head office many times when i noticed a scammer but they DONT so a single thing. It took forever dor their reply and all they tell you is they look into it and dis their best and after that they disappeared from the planet and never hear from them again. In regards to blocking a seller, well they wont because they potential lose some business which means money of course. Don’t bother shopping here ir call their customer service to ask for justice, the staff just wants to get pay and anything else you want to do is wasting your time. I had to go gathered some other potential buyers who got scammed by the same seller to open a case against my scammers This site is rubbish, believe me! You will when there is a problem!!

Loving it! Great buyer + seller community + no fees!!. I discovered Carousell a couple months ago and i thought, “brilliant! Time for a wardrobe clean-up!!” so that's what I'm doing. Loving the ease of the whole experience. Already scored a great deal on a gadget too.

Great but beware. Carousell is a great place to sell and buy however there are a lot of sanders so be careful! Not too sure how serious Carousell take it? I recommend not buying from anyone who has no feedback on their profile.

Not generating enough business. The concept of this app is great, however I feel that when I first joined my items were getting so much more exposure and now they are not. I have not changed the way I post, if anything I am more descriptive. From my understanding the only way people are able to get more followers and more exposure is by revealing themselves on their other means of social media. I don’t have Facebook or Instagram so this is really frustrating.

Terrible!!. The concept was great when I first joined, although I have been posting things everyday to sell and will get only a few likes but not that anyone is willing to buy, I’ve been joined for over a week now and still have nothing, the items I have posted are decent and most are fairly new items at cheap prices so I’ve been pretty fair on my end, will definitely deactivate my account as I haven’t seen a difference yet, this app needs a lot of improvement.

Better than depop. Exactly like depop but without the fees! Great app always runs smoothly for me, I would suggest making it so you can purchase and sell worldwide instead of just your country though.

One of my favourite apps!. Been using Carousell for almost 4 years now and it’s one of my most frequently used apps! Best second-hand marketplace I know of. It’s so easy to use. I’ve sold, swapped, and bought numerous things on here; 100% would recommend!

Great range of items and easy to use. I’ve been using Carousell for a few months now and have found it excellent to use as both a buyer and a seller. I find the people who use this site a lot more trustworthy than most other sites. I think it’s great that they have a review system so that you can see buyer or seller ratings, I wish other selling platforms had this! I’ve found some great bargains on this site and I was also able to sell some of my items quickly and with no fuss 😊

Pretty Good. The app is very easy to use. I have made a few small sales since signing up 2 weeks ago. No bites on my better quality more expensive items yet- but the app itself is pretty good.

Ridiculous pop-up video every 5 seconds. The app REPEATEDLY plays a stupid animated video of a fan blowing leaves over a city as trucks drive around. The video pops up over the whole screen and plays non-stop and it’s hard to get it to go away, and then it pops up again 5 seconds later. The video has no purpose and I have no idea why it pops up. It’s the most ridiculous and frustrating thing I’ve ever seen in an app.

Fantastic app!. I’ve been using Carousell for more than 5 years and it’s been so easy to use. It’s a great platform to buy & sell. I find that it’s underrated & I very much prefer this platform better compared to Depop and Poshmark. If you guys could find a way to win over more users and be number 1 in the market, that would be wonderful as it would make trades faster 😊

Not enough protection. I’ve lost $350 over two different transactions in a couple months. Person using fake names and email address and with this type of fraud you can’t get help from the police. Carousell didn’t help at all. They blocked the user and that’s it. Wouldn’t give out any info or statements to take to the bank or for online. Just said sorry and goodluck. Big thumbs down from me

BIG LOVE for Carousell!. Gotta love Carousell, makes buying and selling so easy - everything is just a click away. A great platform to connect people based on common interest - being shopping online. It is free for everybody to use, no servicing fees apply not even for sellers which is perfect as not everybody has the same “selling” luck. The app could do w a bit more improvement as sometimes the messages don’t come through at the time of delivery but all at the same time once refreshed. But yeah other than that, Carousell is great!

iPad version and deleting past ads. The app is great there a few problems that can be fixed and easy to do. 1. Need to have iPad version for iPad and for other tablets and not limit it to phones and internet browser website only 2. Deleting past ads that been marked as sold can not be deleted least on my account it can't 3. On iPhone version for iPad can't put a description because you can't see what we are typing if any mistakes are made. 4. Tablet versions need to the rotation screen and not just portrait 5. Update user policy for meet up or pick items and mention no internet bank transfers

No longer useful if don’t pay to promote items. Have been using for about 3 years now and didn’t have any issues (except for many users - time wasters but that’s not the problem of app) until recently when I’ve noticed my listings were getting zero views. Then I realised all items I post are no longer visible in fresh finds - as I don’t pay to promote my items. That makes this app being useless. Will have to look for an alternative

Amazing user experience. Having used Carousell for 2+ years, the user experience, overall app functionality, ability to respond to inboxes via email, and payment policies are all SO much better than Depop.

Be Wary. I loved this app and would have given it 5 stars but I got scammed by a fellow user who pretended to pay for something and stole my item. The app literally did nothing so just be wary you have no protection from them so you need to be vigilant and assume scammers are on the site and not just people like you who are trying to earn a buck and minimise waste. My fault for being naive but I would have expected a slight level of protection but there was nothing. They didn’t even suspend the account.

Great place to sell Pre-loved items!. I sold quite a few items since I started using Carousell a few weeks ago, and I like the idea of selling/giving back to the community. In addition, it’s such an easy app to use! I would definitely recommend people to download the app and use it! :)

Scams Everywhere. Be careful with who you deal with even if Carousell has verified them. I’ve been scammed TWICE and the team have done nothing to get my money back, just suspended the users and nothing else. Only good thing is that there are some genuine people trying to sell their things and not scam :/

Michelle Martin. Very easy person to communicate with. Was my first sale as I only joined up a few days ago. Very happy how easy site is to use.

Should be shut down. Similar to every other user here had a bad experience with a fraudulent seller and Carousell did nothing (didn’t even suspend the user account) whilst diligently organising a delivery because our nation is in lockdown and we are not be visiting other people. Carousell - you have done nothing to support users in a time of the COVID-19 pandemic, flouting government rules and still encouraging meet ups (is this not a criminal offence?) What are you doing when every other company is helping the public and trying to serve the greater good during this time and preventing deaths. The company is constantly in the news for scammers and users defrauding others, you set no rules or guidelines, you have done nothing to assist our national situation as a million dollar start up company. Seriously shame on you, the government should shut you down.

Good but frustrating. This app is amazing! I've been using it for just about a year now, and I've bought and sold lots of stuff. My one complaint though is that now when I search for an brand I like, I only see listings for the last 2 weeks. I remember when you could see listings from a year back. I hope it's a bug and it's fixed soon

fantastic!. carousell is the best way to make $$ if you don’t have a job & you’re in school! as long as you’ve got a secure method of postage & an online banking account, you’re set! would definitely recommend to anybody looking to make some cash off pre-loved goods that are still in good quality! would really appreciate if the carousell team could keep trying to make the app a little less clunky in terms of usage. also improving the review system! but apart from that, i love it!

Good. But not yet Great!. Carousell makes buying and selling all sorts of things a breeze. Have purchased a few items via the app and it has generally been an easy and hassle free activity. However, there a couple of things I’d like to see from the developers: 1. Ability to merge conversations when purchasing multiple items from a single seller. Currently they each have their own conversation thread and it can be hard to track. 2. A more fluid notification system so can quickly see the latest communication from all items I am buying. Something like an e-mail app where the latest communication bubbles to the the top. 3. Ability to copy images and paste them in another app. When ordering a pickup service, they often want images of the larger items. Would be good to be able to copy / paste pics rather than taking screenshots etc. 4. Ability to save the URL of an item from the app so can share quickly with others through messaging apps.

Free Selling App. I just started a couple of weeks ago and I’ve managed to sell a couple of things successfully. No listing price required. Would give 5 stars although the app can be a bit buggy at times. I would have to restart the app to be able to load messages. Great app to use overall.

Used to be good. This used to be a great app, now it’s fulled with scammers and people selling fakes and dodgy underpaying jobs. All the groups are run by users who never log on anymore so there are never events. The app also won’t allow you to send a buyer your paypal email address so they can pay which leaves no way to actually sell. Customer service never follow up with anything. Very disappointed and much better apps to sell things out there.

No buyer protection. I used to love carousell, been their user for roughly a year. However I was scammed by a seller BENNYBOY3633 and carousell didn’t even bother to send a reply for my report. This seller roam around relisting an item that I have paid. Mind you that I did my homework checking the receipt of the item (iphone) and the phone serial nunber to make sure it is what it claims to be. BUYERS BEWARE! Only pay with paypal or opt for meet up if you’re using this site. They have no interest for your protection. Terribly disappointed.

Ok, but lots of haggling. Made some sales on this platform but to be honest there is quite a bit of time wasting in the messaging back and forth. Also I’ve found people are frequently trying to haggle down the street price, even when it’s a fairly cheap item to begin with

Great App!. I’ve been using Carousel for a couple of years now. I really like it and appreciate being able to sell items without eBay or PayPal fees. There is a wide range of items available for sale - everything from clothes and make up to services and pet goods. My only complaint is some sellers and some buyers are not very good at replying, but I guess that’s the same with any selling app.

Great for selling things. It’s a great platform for selling new and used items. But I’m only giving 4 stars because at present there is no way to upload videos of items. It is quite important to be able to upload videos especially when instructing use on the items you are selling.

A mine for trolls and perverts. This app started out well but then some competitors popped up and carousell became a playground for perverts and trolls. One “buyer” incessantly tried to meet up (i said no) followed by him finding me on social media. Another “buyer” kept asking for photos of the dress on me, and when I posted a modest photo they started sending me shots of different coloured busty women to ask if it would fit them. I have reported both users in detail and they are yet to be taken down. There seems to be no policing. The app makers have abandoned it. Don’t waste your time.

Saving the planet one step at a time. Love Carousell. I’ve been using it for 2 years now and have made lots of $ on my items and I love how I’m helping stop clothes going to landfill at the same time. Recycling and reusing is the key to combating fast fashion and Carousell is the perfect platform for it. Would be great if the search function could be added to our liked list and messages so we can search messages from users we’ve messaged in the past. Would also be great if the sellers who have constant negative feedback either get taken down on sent notices to keep the community more friendly and to save everyone a lot of wasted time. Also currently when I search the most recent listings it’s never in order and a lot of them are displayed on repeat. Not sure if that’s an algorithm glitch? Overall I recommend Carousell to everyone I talk to, thanks so much!

Good overall. Room for improvement.. SAME: • UI still garish, use of hyper neon colours not done well IMPROVED: • Previously purposeless Red and Blue patterned headings now limited to just Red • “Sold” and “Reserve” differentiated by colour now(but colours still gaudy unlike the Web platform) SUGGESTION: • Need a save Draft function. • Promotion indicator needs to be reinstated to allow quick glance at promotions currently running. • Need ability to save more than 3 “searches” • Need ability to send more than 1 picture at a time in chat • Chat bubbles can be better executed. See Wh**Ap* as example of “gold standard”.

Can’t get my money back from CarouPay. The app automatically suggests one pays via Caroupay. However, once the transaction is done, the app requires a lot of personal details like scanning one’s Identification card and bank details. Otherwise, it is not possible to get paid. Till now, my cash transaction is still stuck with Carousell and I am unable to to receive the proceeds from my sale. ☹️

I love Carousell ❤️. I used this apps long long time ago. When I was in Singapore and Malaysia. Now, I knew that they launched in Australia. I keep continuing this app because I always found what I want easily here and direct to seller. Easy communication and sometimes get good bargain stuff and prices. I really love Carousell so much 🙏🏻❤️

The new normal. Great concept. Great app. Love Carousell! Getting to move my past goods on to people who I know will appreciate them makes recycling so much more enjoyable. Hopefully it’s not too long before everyone’s got a wardrobe up! Killer job guys :)

New Update😡. As soon I have got onto my page it comes up as ‘server error’ then comes up ‘forbidden’. Won’t let my profile load, barely loads any of my search results but when it does, I can’t actually view the item until I press retry about 3-4 times. I went to look at a profile and it’s not even letting me press retry. Please fix ASAP.

Quicker than FB market and EBAY!. My very first buy and sell was astonishing! The user interface was quick and easy (in my case I was using an iPhone XS Max)

Disappointed. I used to love Carousell and found buying/selling through the app easy & fun. Since their biggest update, I have found the app unusable and have totally switched to another selling platform. Carousell became confusing, hard to view, less user friendly and with no valuable updates.

listing areas. if were selling things online, i dont see why we cant browse listings in other countries. downloaded this wanting to buy from someone in Japan but cant and theres nothing of the series in Canada…

creeps and pedos. can this app at least try to find a way to filter out creeps? the amount of times i get asked if i’m selling used underwear or if i can send full body pictures of outfits to obviously male buyers disgusts me. find a way to limit the amount of users who can use this. for example depop filters people through paypal (verified paypal) it’s one step more to turn away creeps and pedos. i hate this app nonetheless too bad i can’t give it 0 stars

I like the app but. All of my recent chats have been with suspicious accounts asking to pay by cheque or money order and insist on delivery. There has to be a way to validate new registered accounts because it’s frustrating. I used to connect with real people and make decent sales from this app but I don’t know what’s been going on

Full of scammers. I’ve had an account for almost 6 years now. I never used to have a problem with this app but now I’ve been dealing with so many scammers/odd people… I’ve had the same person under different accounts/emails try and buy stuff from me and then proceed to tell me he has fetish’ etc.. i keep blocking the account but some how they’re able to make a new one each time. I know this as a FACT because I have screenshots of the conversation and them admitting they’ve spoke to me before under MULTIPLE different accounts. This app has gone downhill and I’m definitely deleting it.

Was a great app a few years ago. The perfect app a few years ago before they decided to update and mess everything up The app is always glitching now and I’m unable to post things because it automatically duplicates my listings, which Carousell says is against the rules and automatically deletes. None of my posts now are unable to show up in the search feed and can be seen by other users, making this app useless now.

SO MANY SCAMMERS!. I had the app for 3 days. I tried to give people the benefit of the doubt. Someone tried to scam me $180 worth of things by sending me an e-transfer via email that requested I pay for shipping & submit the tracking number prior to receiving funds! Don't let this happen! I caught it when I saw the email said **FUNDS** with 3 different names from the person. Also, one person was interested in buying a pair of shoes, and she (or he) continuously asked for pictures of my feet!!! Ridiculous!

Carousell. Loving this app! It’s a very convenient way to de clutter your closet and get money off it. You’ll find things you love for adorable prices ! I recommend trading with other people.

Bad. Whenever someone messages me I can’t reply cause it takes 5 minutes to restore “connection”

Beware of scammers on the app!!!. This app used to be great but now it’s full of scams. Be careful of those trying to give you payment via “certified cheques”. All of them use the same script and only try to send you fake payments so they can gain access to your bank accounts.

Bad Customer Service and Scammers. I had to make an account to message a seller, something that they don’t even let you do without registering down to your exact location. I messaged a seller and within 24 hours of even making my account, they accused me of fraudulent activity!! UNREAL!!!!! I appealed to get my account back and they still wouldn’t give me a reason!!!! Don’t even bother with this app.

Great website for purchasing Gently-Used stuff. I am extremely happy to have found Carousell. It allowed me to search for gently used items I need for my 2 year old grand baby who will be visiting for a month. I managed to get a cot, booster seat and even a trike! All in excellent condition without breaking the bank. Awesome website! Way to go Carousell. Will recommend to friends and visiting family.

Glitchy. App is glitchyyyy. It gets the job done but it always crashes or needs to be refreshed.

Poor Communication. A lot of sellers on here that aren’t active but still have listings. A lot of people who don’t respond to messages of interest. Really frustrating.

Pop ups?!. I love using this app, I’ve bought and sold many different things but every once and a few, there’s like bugs or pop ups? It’s disturbing because it can be dating apps or can even direct me to things I or other people don’t want to see.

Bugs?. Good app, but recently every 2 seconds on the app it opens to the App Store and tells me to download some app.

Where’s Canada. Even the support form doesn’t recognize Canada as a option hard to request a group when my options are all in Asia With the loss of let go you would think it would be more user friendly

No sales. I’m yet to get any interest on my items. I feel this site is useless. Much better sites are Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji and even Letgo!

Works for all sellers and buyers.. Great platform to look for bargains and make Sales. Only downside is getting offers, then no follow up or trade completion after accepting offers.

Overall Enjoy this App for Selling Clothing Minus Some Minor Issues. I’ve been using this app now for well over a year to sell my lightly used clothing items and to purchase clothes/other items. The app is very user friendly and easy to use for the purpose of selling used goods. It’s easy to post items as a seller. You can create a profile and customize it with a profile picture and bio (sometimes users will post meet up locations here too). You can upload photos, set a price, and add details to the listing to help sell it. It’s also easy to search for specific items that you are interested in purchasing using key words. If you stumble across a user that has a LOT of listings you can also search key words in their profile too. You can also set a location/radius to search in - which is helpful when finding items in your meet up area. A lot of individuals will have specific meet up spots listed in their profile/under the individual item. Some users have a minimum meet up and/or are firm on their meet up location — so keep that in mind when looking for items if location is a factor. I have sold and bought items using this app. Some Carousellers are serious and easy to make a deal with. However, there are a lot of users who make an “offer” and never respond, or individuals that just stop messaging back without letting you know that they are no longer interested. Not every potential sale works out. Sometimes individuals want to have a discount on your set price. Sometimes the meet up locations or times do not work out. Sometimes after asking questions to clarify about an item, the user is no longer interested. Etc, etc. I have found this with similar apps though too. I just try to be patient while waiting for a potential buyer and I also try to post items often (every few days or once a week) to keep my profile active. In my experience, a typical sale may look like the following — someone messages about a listing. They may ask questions or ask for additional photos to see if they are still interested in the item (i.e. depending on sizing, any flaws, etc). They may ask about pricing or bundle deals (in my experience many users will ask for a lower price). If the user makes an “offer” you can accept or decline the offer. If you accept, the item will become reserved and others can no longer message you about the item (I have bad experiences with reserving an item because the other user tends to back out last minute, not always but it’s happened a lot to me). The deal may also go through without a formal “offer” as well, just means you can’t write a review after. You will discuss meet up locations and times, and set up a day/time to meet for the transaction to occur. Usually there is a confirmation a day before the actual meet up to make sure both parties are still okay to meet. Sometimes users will want to exchange numbers to text when they arrive at the meet up spot, but I personally prefer to keep it in the app for safety. If you accepted an offer then you are able to leave feedback (positive, neutral, negative). Just keep in mind, as I mentioned above, not every message from another user will work out. I am always aware of “sketchy” messages received by individuals potentially not using the app for its intended purpose. I have received messages before that are inappropriate. The app has the option to block and report individuals. You can also look at the individuals profile to see what reviews other members have made about them and to gauge whether the individual is a scammer. For example, in my experience, individuals who are not verified; have no listings; have no reviews; have a new profile within the last day or so; have a blank profile pic; etc, have not historically worked out for me in a sale and often have resulted in uncomfortable messages from the individual. When using this app, or others like this, use your judgement and stay safe. I’ve also used other apps, such as Letgo and Kijiji to sell items. I like the overall format of Carousell better than Letgo and also find that there aren’t as many inappropriate users on Carousell. That being said, I still do receive the odd inappropriate message. I have had success with sales on all three apps but overall I’ve sold more clothing items (womens) on Carousell compared to the other apps I mentioned. I’ve noticed a few “bugs” with the app so far. The main one being listings that you cannot edit or delete. The listing still shows but you cannot edit to delete the listing. Other users can also still see the listing but get an error (“Tap to Retry”) pops up when they click it. This has happened to a few of my listings (about 6 so far) and it’s definitely a little annoying because they are just “stuck” there even if you’ve sold the item or don’t want to sell it anymore. Also, some cover photos do not show and instead there is a blank photo that shows. Overall, I enjoy this app. I do not always make quick sales and I am not always successful in selling the items that I have up. There are times I don’t receive a message in weeks, and other times I receive a few messages within a matter of days. However, it has resulted in enough sales to keep me using the app. I would just advise to use caution when using the app, or other similar apps, so that you stay safe when making sales!

Deleted me for absolutely no reason ?. I downloaded this app because I found a link for a shirt I’ve been looking for for a while on google, and once I downloaded it, I filled out my profile, messaged the seller of said item about shipping options/fees/etc, and added a few more things to my saved list. When I went back the next day, it said that my account had been suspended - I filed and appeal/emailed customer service and they said that I had “violated community guidelines” (they didn’t say how) and that my account was permanently deleted?? Like huh? I legit added my phone number, a profile picture, my name, and messaged someone, and that’s grounds for a permanent ban? I just wanted a shirt 😫😫😫

Not in the right app stores. The problem with this product despite the previous incorrect “review” that this app IS in the us and Japanese app stores. Yet it serves neither the US or Japan... So I don’t know if you just don’t consider Japan in south east asia but it definitely isn’t the greatest app to use for south east Asia for me...

Sloppy Chat Feature. The chat feature is so bad to the point that no matter how hard i restart the app the messages that appear on my screen are delayed and whenever i take a picture from my photo album the photos need to be cropped for some reason i hope you read this because your app is great but just needs some tweaks

App Suddenly Blocked Several Countries from Using It. I had an account on Carousell with hundreds of listings. I used it for awhile, was a featured seller and they even sent me a swag bag in the mail. All of the sudden, I couldn’t login anymore. When I try to sign in, I’m told my country (United States) isn’t supported. There was no warning or heads up before this happened. Disappointing.

Helpful apps. Im thankful that this app is made for us buyer and seller. It gives big help i also earn money. They are right some people are abuse, im thank that my buyer and seller i encountered are good people.

Could be made safer to both buyer and seller. Hope the team can come up with an in house payment platform so that we don't have to do payment transactions elsewhere. A secure payment gateway within carousel that can protect both buyer and seller.

Tap to Retry. This app has helped furnish my apartments in Hong Kong for years. Something is wrong in recent weeks. I cannot log in. I get a continuous “tap to retry” page. Deleting and downloading did nothing. Just checked if they went out of business. Right now it’s useless.

Won’t let me join. I tried joining the site and even by a web account like fb and it won’t let me. It tells me to select a county and when I type one in, mines do not show up. It also says the internet is down in which it is not.

tagging as unresponsive. I was surprised that I was tagged unresponsive. My response to one prospected buyer failed to send and it was just only a day that I did not see the chat of another.

Good and useful app!!. This app is useful for selling items that you don’t need or don’t want like this app although sometimes lags a lot.

Not Available for U.S.. What’s the point of having this available for the U.S. market when you can’t even sign up with the United States as your location and it’s not even supported by the app. So frustrating. I want to be able to purchase products internationally that aren’t available here. Please make this available for more areas.

Can’t even log in on app. Trying to use my one and only account, and keeps telling me I have too many accounts. Have reset password and still will not allow me to log in

Accidentally marked sold, can’t undo. For something tied to your rating the “marked as sold” system is pretty rough. It automatically went to an offer that I had accidentally marked accepted, which I also couldn’t undo. So the person who actually bought it can’t leave feedback and I can’t give him feedback.

Annoying push notifications. Often says “you have an unread message” when i have none. Also should have an option to disable irrelevant promotions.

Error Bad Request. app does not work. I've turned my phone on and off, turned WiFi on and off, reinstalled the app and nothing works! I can't search for anything without an error message popping up redirecting me to customer service, but there's no solution!

Good App. I love Carousell. It’s very user friendly. I would have rated 5 star If only we can promote our post for free. Or at least have a way for us to earn some free stars to purchase likes maybe. Sort of like Instagram. Cuz there’s too many fakers out there.

Ok but aging application. The application is ok but Agung. Sadly carrousel does not do much to curb false price advertising, meaning lots of listing are at $0 or $1 when asking for hundreds or thousands. I fair listed price would make the search a lot easier but nothing appears to be done to curb this behaviour from sellers.

Works great!!!. Wow. What a great community resource this is. Super helpful for moving stuff around. Be careful, there are some crooks online too, but for the most part, I have had so much help from Carousell.

Unable to Accept/Decline an offer 😭. The latest update lost my option to either Accept/Decline an offer. Once I click on the “You got 1 offer” I no longer have them (Accept/Decline). Too bad because it losses a chance of a possible good feedback. 😔 And of course to properly close the deal. Hopefully team you could help me with this. I have emailed the support team however as of this writing its still to no avail even if this is an urgent matter. Thank you in advance. UPDATE: 8/9/18 The app has been relaunched (actually ive done this before I gave the above feedback) and its still the same problem. It just doesnt work.

Where’s all the Dev’s? Lmaoo. I’m not understanding how you got your NON AMERICAN app on the AMERICAN APPSTORE! I’m pretty sure you guys could not done that since you know, you’re confusing everyone outside these Asian countries. And you have not replied to a single person about their concerns. Yeah I hope your app gets taken down from the US store.

Bad Changes. After the recent buying of bumps and coins, it’s now futile to post here without spending more. Isnt it the reason youre selling so you can earn and save. But if you dont buy coins or bumps, you have no chance of selling. Whats the point then.

Better than Lazada. Less scams than Lazada And High Security of Consumer Protection And is very secure when it comes to Phishing

No USA Market support!!. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever how is this application available in the US apple store but doesn’t support USA Market I don’t understand I’m trying to make an account so I can buy I product for my own needs but unfortunately I don’t see the USA option anywhere when selecting your country. Please make it available for the USA

Error: Bad request. Terrible. I can’t even sign up!!! And there’s no way to upload anything other than a real image of yourself if you want a profile picture. Some people don’t want their faces out there for the internet to see! PS, I’m using an iPod Touch. Don’t know if they need you to use it on a device with cellular service on it.

Not worth your time. Don’t waste your time listing on this app if you don’t intend to pay for their “bumps”. Posts never get seen or published if you are not a paying user, despite appearing so. This has been highlighted in “CarlsStuffs1” review as well. Used to be a great place to buy and sell. Simply not worth your time anymore.

Was good once upon a time. I do not like the new listing restrictions on Carousell. After being a 7-year user of Carousell, I am only given 30 free listings with the new update. Sure, it might be good enough for a casual user but it isn’t fair to other serious sellers. It isn’t even worth it to sign up for their subscription plan. Your listings get pushed down as it is a chronological algorithm.

Glad to have the app but a bit clunky.... Glad to have this app but a bit hard to navigate at times and requires you to buy top billing on their interface. Also no iPad version.

Nonsense push notifications. What’s the point of having an option to select what kind of push notifications I want to receive when I keep getting spammed with ads for their services that abuse the notification system. Absolutely shambolic.

Ads Playing Constantly! 🙈. The most recent update now automatically plays video ads when opening every single listing. Absolutely terrible user experience. I enjoy checking the app pretty frequently, but now I find myself having to constantly close ads it’s not worth browsing any more. I’ll be back once this gets resolved.
