ZERO STARS! Stressful and Inconvenient!. I booked a trip for my family and it has been a nightmare for weeks, and we havent even gone to the park yet!! I have had to call customer service 5 times and wait for hours because every time I log into my account all of my tickets and reservations are either completely missing, or they have our ages all mixed up and one family memeber missing! After my last call they assured me my account was all fixed (again), so I paid thousands of dollars, then got an email ** the next morning at 3:35 AM ** saying my family no longer had admission and my reservations will be canceled in 24 hours!!! Then I come to read other peoples reviews and find out everyone is getting denied access to the park for these reasons! I am so stressed about this trip already.. I would just cancel it if my 5 kids wouldn't be completely heartbroken!! Disney really needs to make purchasing a park pass much more simple! Why does their system keep switching my tickets and canceling things for no reason??? This does not make me excited to drive my family across the country to a place where I'm not sure if my money actually purchased the things I was promised..

Disney lost its magic!. This is utterly ridiculous! Instead of waiting in anticipation to go enjoy my time at the park my family and I are stressed trying to coordinate and plan our day. After spending a splendid day at Universal (which was extremely enjoyable and easy…. unlike a similar park) we were exhausted and waking up at early hours to try and get tickets and lightening passes was just awful. The kids were tired but wanted more than anything to get on the famed “Ride of Resistance” but the app carried a host of issues that made it next to impossible. First of, the app was down and my daughter (who may be the BIGGEST fan in the world) could not join our party and we would rather not get on the ride at all than go without her. Second, it made a lightening pass reservation FOR US which made it difficult to get lightening passes for other times and rides we really wanted to go on. Third, WE NEVER EVEN GOT ON RISE OF RESISTANCE! I could write a whole other review on the “Rise of Resistance” ticket choice because I am most definitely not waiting 3 hours to get on that ride. I do enjoy Disney and believe they have a lot to offer but something needs to change. We will not be back unless they figure out a better way to do this.

Yikes. So, i have a few complaints. First, the whole system with linking your family and friends so you can fastpass together is so unnecessarily confusing. None of us could figure out if we needed our ticket numbers, and when i put it in for my friend it linked to my account and had to call disney to fix it (i was also on hold for 30 mins but that’s a different story). After you link your friends, they randomly linked some of my friends, but not others, and only one of the tickets would link after that. Within ten minutes, i finally was forced to exclude two of my friends, the avatar ride was completely booked. Secondly, this app can’t even function on its own. If any other app is open, this app simply will not work, which is very inconvenient if you’re plugging in a number from your camera roll. The app frequently glitches not only for me, but for almost everyone else in my group as well. When everything surrounding your vacation is depending on the performance of this app, and the app doesn’t function, it makes us very stressed. And we’re high schoolers who are coming for marching band, so we’re already stressed about a million other things. Overall, it’s great when it works, but that’s not very often.

Room to room. We were on our way from airport to our hotel at Pop Century and received a call that we were awarded an upgrade to the Art of Animation. Were told our room was bigger and would have a two bedrooms one with a king and one queen. With it almost being midnight after along travel day we were ready to settle. Once we got to room we discovered it was a wheelchair accessible room and not accommodating to what we were to have at Pop Century. Room was also very dirty. After a very long phone call to front desk, by now 12:30am, manager said they didn’t have any rooms like that in inventory and didn’t know why we were told that. We did get moved again to another room. Still not what we were told we were getting from having to be moved from Pop. We have had our reservations for almost 7 weeks and still don’t understand why we were moved. On top of all of this, as I write this review our room is at the end of the hall and I can hear every individual going in and out and every conversation going on. Disney is and can do much better than this. We are very frequent visitors and our experience has been anything but acceptable for the first three hours.

Magical disappointment. Absolutely terrible app experience.. We come to the parks ever couple of years but this trip was supposed to be special. We are here to celebrate our anniversary and reminisce from our honeymoon experience here 26 years ago. There are only a few rides we’d like to ride. We woke up well before sunrise just to get into a required virtual queue. After waiting patiently and refreshing over and over for 7 a.m., we found we can’t get into that queue even with all the extra purchases required. This is an absolute absurdity with the app constantly failing to update appropriately and now without access to the very ride we planned on for months. Our only choice now is to spend an additional $27 per person to gain access. As if the $1,700 for two days and genie + pass wasn’t enough? This experience is horrible and has taken all of the joy out of our anniversary celebration experience. Throw in the fact we’ve waited for 45 minutes for a bus to Magic Kingdom from Port Orleans and are now well behind the opening of the park PLUS all the expenses we’ve paid, it should be quite understandable why we will likely not return. We’d simply be happy to stand in a line all day but, that’s not even an option. Magical disappointment is more descriptive of our experience.

The Grand Construction Zone. My family and I are staying at the Grand Floridian Jan 6-13. We have waited a year for this vacation. One of our favorite and more relaxing moments is when we sit on our balcony, soak up some sunshine, and listen to the classic 40’s style music that plays over the PA system. However, this year, the Grand is under major renovation and all we can hear is machinery, power tools, and construction workers. Yesterday, a construction worker was blowing dirt off of the sidewalk and blew it right in the face of myself and my nine year old daughter. Ever hear of a broom? Anyway, I feel I’m being generous with 2 stars. I get it that these renovations are necessary. However, if it had been disclosed to us that this much construction was scheduled, I would have either changed my vacation date or stayed at another resort. The fact that I’m paying full price for this stay is all the more aggravating. I did not pay this much money to hear construction work from 7-4 everyday of my trip. I don’t feel like Disney was upfront and honest about the noise, inconvenience and commotion we have experienced during our “vacation”. Furthermore, I doubt they really care.

One Time Situation. Now, normally I’d give this app a 5 star. I’ve had it for years and have been using it in every trip to any Disney Park I’ve been to. UNFORTUNATELY, however, this trip that I’m currently on while I write this review seems to be a little different. This time around the app seems to have gotten VERY slow and buggy, contrary to recent years. Every time I try to check times on Fast Passes, check the times of a restaurant or peek at the map to make sure we know where we’re going, the app takes longer than convenience would want. I even manage to make it to my destination every once in a while before the app manages to finish booting up. Fun stuff. Bugs and lagging aside, I don’t want this review to be seen as something of a “Do Not Download.” This app is EXTREMELY useful and if it ends up running smooth for you, it’s a MUST DOWNLOAD in any of the Walt Disney Parks. Between Fast Pass reservations, to the maps, to the restaurant times and times/places to meet characters, the app will ABSOLUTELY make your trip a neater, easier and more enjoyable trip. As the title hinted, this review is based off a one time situation. Disney normally never fails to deliver and I hope they fix these bugs so I can get back to praising them for their awesome delivery of service and experiences for guests of all ages!

A lot of promise.... Disney does a lot of things very well; making apps isn’t one of them. This app is so unstable. It crashes all the time, repeatedly. It shut down on me four times in a row today at the park, three times. It continually “signs me in” and then freezes on that screen. I have to close the app, restart it, it finally gets through the sign in (again) only to freeze on the home screen and you can’t tap the map to get to the wait times. So you have to close it again and typically, the third time is the charm. Even then, if I use another app then go back to the Disney app, it will try to sign me in again. That’s just not how this is supposed to work. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It doesn’t need to sign me in every time I touch the app. Just leave me signed in. Please??? 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I do LOVE this app when it WORKS, however infrequent that may be. The capability loaded into it is exactly what a good app should have but it’s all for naught when it’s so unstable. Every time I see an update in the App Store I just shake my head bc I know it will fix one bug and introduce 10 more. Please, please make this the magical app it has the potential to be.

Great app just needs some bug fixes. So the original review is down below but I want to add that the app has been crashing more and has been insanely slow! I went to epcot last week and I could not even open the app once to check my fastpass times because of the crashing so I just went through google chrome. I would say making this issue a top priority I love this app it’s pretty easy to figure out and it’s great whether your planning a vacation or you have an annual pass and are able to go often. I live a couple hours from Disney and it’s nice to be able to plan even the day of and get some fastpasses, dining reservations, and check wait times or times of parades. The only thing is the app does crash way too much. I was about to get a fastpass for 7 dwarves minetrain and boom it crashed on me. Super disappointed since that’s such a hard pass to get. Not a huge deal for me since I have the ability to go often but I know this would be upsetting for someone that is planning a trip and has to travel a long distance. I agree a fastpass notification would be great, the app being faster and not crashing would be the best thing though

Genie Plus. We are DVC and this is our first trip back since Pandemic. We were set to enjoy Animal Kingdom at 7am this morning. We arrived at park at 650 am and entered, my wife purchased the Genie Plus feature for the four of us. We made our way to Pandora and purchased the Lightning Lane for our family. Upon entry to the ride, we were told there was an issue my me not being linked to the Lightning Pass. We showed staff members, who were not accommodating at all, my wife and I were forced to walk back to the guest service area, the rep indicated he understood the issue but was unable to assist, so our twins went on without us. The whole reason we came this early was to enjoy family time. We were deprived of our experience on Avatar. My family has over 25 trips to DisneyWorld, and this Post Covid Disney experience is incredibly sub standard to our past trips. We were sold DVC and Annual Pass programs based on certain expectations, it has significantly deminshed our experience. It’s amazing how the Disney Bar has been lowered. PS Bring Back Fast Passes

Worst App ever. Seriously Disney my experience app went from hero to zero. We became major fans of Disney parks about 4 years ago and got obsessed with Disney after our first trip! The ease of the parks, the help of the fast passes and estimated wait times helped up navigate the park like pros. When Covid happened Disney did away with fast pass and replaced it with lightening lanes embedded on the my experience app via Genie and Genie+. Total disaster. You go to book lightening lanes and the time changes instantly. Then you are stuck with a time 4 hours away from when you clicked and you paid for LL for the whole day and get to use it maybe 3 times. Total waste of money. The genie app addition by itself is completely worthless and totally annoying. Doesn’t help in anyway and just makes it so that more guest in the park are waking around with their noses stuck to a screen(because it’s not user friendly). The amount of times my husband had to help families in the park that were just completely confused was astonishing. He honestly should get paid. We’ve traveled from Michigan 5 times in 4 years and this has been our worst trip yet. So many things have changed. So many of the perks of staying at the resorts have changed. It’s crazy to me and I feel really bad for families that saved all their money to come here only to get to ride 3 rides.

Park tickets. We too love Disney and spend every new year holiday with them. Why in God’s name can the resort not get your park tickets linked to your magic band??? Going to customer service at the park is horrible!!! A little bit on my magical experience dies when the resort staff says they do not have that ability. Why????? Also, the new hall of presidents is horrible! New voice (I miss Morgan Freeman) and new theme. I’m sure it’s to prevent the audience from booing our current president but it’s still just not the same. Your staff that works before the fireworks are exhausted I’m sure but still quite rude. ( both feet have to be inside the white line! ) we were not allowed to be in one section because it was full and moved across then 30 minutes before the show, it was packed with more people than before. Even not during the holiday season the staff has lost something. 10 years ago they were awesome and fun. Now they’re hurried teenagers pushing you to “get out of the way” and talking over you when you’re asking a question. I hope they can get it back one day.

Sometimes progress isn't a good thing. This app has been one of the biggest downfalls of a Disney vacation since it was introduced and it continues to get worse. Currently, you have to log in every single time you want to use the app, which when you're on a vacation that relies very much on this app, it becomes tiresome and frustrating. "Sorry kids, hang on, daddy has to enter his password for the 50th time to figure out where our next Fastpasses are for again." Kids live sitting in the 90 degree heat for that. Oh yeah, there's a nice Touch ID box that looks great and does nothing. But, this is all assuming your tickets link to the app in the first place. Two times on one trip we sat with 4 kids at a window while cast members had to fix errors with our tickets not linking correctly. Want to eat somewhere? Figure it out ahead of time. Not one single menu at any restaurant on property loads in this app. Use the handy order ahead feature? Sounds awesome, won't load anywhere on property. Things were not broken when Disney didn't rely on MagicBands and Fastpass Pluses. Now that your entire vacation will revolve around an app that is so riddled with bugs that it lacks basic functionality, be prepared to feel completely robbed of your hard earned money after your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Terrible App. Please fix this app. It’s an embarrassment that a great company like Disney would endorse such a poorly designed and dysfunctional app. It could haven been a tool that genuinely maximized the enjoyment of our Disney experience, but instead it has been a headache which has only been useful for ordering food and using the map (which itself was often ineffective for guiding us where we wanted to go). It’s great that I can search for restaurants, but not great if the restaurant is at a completely different resort or in a park that I don’t have a ticket to. Enabling users to sort what exactly they’re looking for would be a great step towards allowing them to use the app to effectively plan the day. I want to know what’s going on in the park that I have tickets to. We were pleasantly surprised when we happened upon 3 different live performances in the Animal Kingdom during our visit, but we didn’t even know to look for them. Presumably, someone has a schedule that they would be able to publish in the app, and can figure out how to tailor it to the park that the guest is actually in. If any of this app’s developers are reading this review, please, for the sake of future visitors’ experiences, fix this terrible app.

Responding to 34ahdh. While I understand your dismay as well as concern, I believe that it was improper to rate the my Disney experience app so poorly. There are wait times and photo-pass options right handy whenever you need them, and yes the app logs in every-time you use it, but only to prevent theft and improper activities. I am a huge fan of Disney, I have visited many times with my family and I enjoy it very much, many times the my Disney experience app has helped us to plan our meals and fast passes, and gotten us out of trouble planning and prepping, we know where to go and where to be, when we want to be there. As a long time Disney lover, I suggest that you take your concerns and badmouthing elsewhere, because the designers of this app have work to do, keeping many families’ schedules and vacations happy and magical. I don’t mean to cause trouble, but just as you came out and expressed your discrepancies to the people who try so hard to help you, I decided to express my discrepancies with an ungrateful user. Thank you!

Another Horrible update (zero stars). This is my 7th review of the My Disney Experience app over the years. The update they did yesterday is probably the worst ever. It is so bloated with crap, that it is difficult to find anything. It appears they’ve removed the “my plans” section from the app, which I think is incredibly stupid. To find my future plans or to do online check in, I had to do a search. After the search, they disappear again. I tried to do a chat, but of course, they’re flooded with requests. I did get an automated response that implies you need to use the website to see your plans. How dumb is that? I shouldn’t have to go back and forth between their app and their website to do everyday stuff. It is annoying. I hope they fix it soon. Update: I received a response from Disney from a chat I tried to do, but of course, it takes them hours to reply. To see any future plans, you go through the stupid Genie service and choose my day. Then you choose the option to change your day. But it doesn’t help at all, since you can only see one day at a time. I want to be able to see a complete list of my future reservations/plans and my family and friends reservations like in the past. It might not matter soon, because my Disney trips may soon be a thing of the past.

Very helpful app but Adding Guests for Planning needs better explanation. After spending an hour on the phone with support to clear up the mess made by some very excited adults in our party, I was told that it’s actually very common for duplicates and triplicates of people to be made and shared in the family and friend lists when people start connecting; leading to tickets being assigned to the wrong place, etc. My simple idea to fix this would be to change the wording under “How will you add this Guest?” It should say “Find through a Connection’s Party” or “Add a Managed Guest (recommended for small children and other dependents that will not have an individual Disney Account)” or “Invite this Guest to Connect by Email (recommended for teens and adults).” Those last two options should THEN open the menu to add biographic information. Once this information is input, the app should check for duplicates within the parties of connected guests and give a warning that “You only need to Connect with the Adult who manages this Guest, not the person individually.” This would prevent a deluge of emails with different invitations as well as prevent duplicates!

No support. We downloaded this at the ticket counter when the agent said it is the way to reserve fast passes. Since it was the day of our visit, there were no fast passes available, but we could use it on future days. That’s not their fault, that is just my ignorance in believing that there was a “fast pass”benefit for each day of use. The next time we were armed with experience and ready to plan our fast passes for our next visit. However, the app wouldn’t properly scan my card. I had it in the system the first day, but it was no longer there, so I scanned it again, and again, and again...to no avail. After way too much time trying to get my ticket scanned so I could order a fast pass with my party, I tried to search for “help”. To be told by the app that there is no “help”. There is no phone number, there is no customer service, there is no frequently asked questions, there simply is no help. So, we’re back in the same boat of not ordering fast passes before going. Hence, what is the point of having the “Disney experience” app, if our only Disney experience is the one that makes us wait in the stand bye lines on every single ride? If I were to do it again, I would not buy a pass assuming this app would allow us to use fast passes. Instead, I would only buy a single day ticket with the understanding that lines are just part of the Disney experience.

Crashes often, frequent errors, very slow, burns battery. With the app exception of the insane battery drain, It looks like many of the problems with this app are server side errors. The server errors manifest in the user interface as being super slow at times, popping error messages to tell you to “try again” and outright crashes. The app burned through 40% of my battery on a new iPhone XS Max in an hour of use trying to plan our trip. Battery on my iPhone usually lasts 1.5 days. Disney can do much better. Their app experience should be as good as their cast member customer service in the parks. Also, Max Pass at Disneyland is WAY WAY WAY better than FastPass Plus at Disney World. Getting secondhand shot at fast passes to resort hotel guests is bad enough. The resort guests already get “extra magic hours”, they don’t also need first shot at fast passes 60 days out. But worse, you can’t get more fast passes until you use ALL THREE. So if you want to go to an evening fireworks show you get only three fast passes for the whole day and the resort guests take all the early fast pass times so they can re-up midday for their extra magic hours in the evening while you get to wait in line. Disney World has much to learn from Disneyland.

Love the Mouse...just not the app. The My Disney Experience app is definitely the tool you need when visiting Disney parks. As advertised you can access your reservations, fast passes, see wait times, etc. However, the app is incredibly painful to use. It frequently logs you out and when you try to log back in to view your plans again it will freeze or be unable to load anything. It’s also incredibly slow to use in the parks, which may be Disney’s WiFi in general and while it’s nice and free you certainly aren’t getting the speeds you’re probably used to at home. It seemed that on very busy days at the park, the app was even worse than normal, presumably due to high volumes of users. I would love to see an app where, 1. I don’t have to log in every time I open the app, 2. It reliably opens my plans and allows me to edit them quickly without slow wait times. I did enjoy the mobile ordering feature for a couple of quick service meals and it did process our meal plans correctly. My family and friends is not a feature that’s easy to use, and actually had to go to our concierge to fix it because only half of our planned fast passes were showing up correctly. For now, it’s a necessary evil but I would love to see some dramatic improvements before my next Disney trip!

Terrible & ruins vacation. Don’t count on getting in to Rise of the Resistance even if you get up at 4:30 am and arrive at the park at 6 am... even though all members of your party went through security an had admission scanned at around 6:30 am, and are standing well inside the park by Grohman’s theater....BECAUSE you MUST use that lively My Disney Experience app to join a “ boarding group”...and as people around us were getting group 35 , the Disney Exoerience did NOT work for any of our phones until my husband pulled his out and got us Boarding Group 105...Which would still be ok, if we didn’t need to leave and drive 4 hours home today. So while people around us had their groups called at 8:30-9:30 am... we are still sitting here, knowing our “group” probably won’t be called until late afternoon or early evening...too late for us. Ift wouldn’t be so bad if we just didn’t make the group but to be here and only because of Disney, not be in the group is EXTREMELY frustrating. Cast members were not helpful or sympathetic...so maybe we won’t be renewing those very expensive Premium Annual Passes after all. And this is all with having a DAS card. Getting too old for this 🤔

Cumbersome & an energy hound. I downloaded My Disney Experience for a one-day visit back to WDW. In the rare cases in which logging in was actually successful, it took a long time and used many % of my battery’s charge. Usually, logging in failed, and I had to force the app to quit, having accomplished nothing but draining more juice from my battery, already a precious commodity on a busy Disney day, when recharging is difficult to arrange. In addition to the app’s own problems, I have a bigger criticism: Disney has taken all the joy of spontaneity out of a theme park visit. Everything has to be booked weeks in advance or the Guest is assured a day full of long lines, missed opportunities, limited dining options, and general disappointment. Standing in long lines was never fun, but having to plan a day at WDW like a military advance on an enemy nation is no improvement. It’s a shame that Guests who might want to let inspiration and surprise be a part of their day are likely instead to feel deprived of not just some but all of the resort’s highlights, and as if both their time and money was wasted. FastPass+ is a real joy-killer.

On the edge of Galaxy’s Edge. I love Disney World! It’s my favorite place on planet Earth and I come here from out of state at least 2-4 times a year. I came here this time specifically to go to Hollywood Studios to experience the new attractions, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance & Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. I was informed that we had to do a virtual que for SW: ROTR at 7am or at 2pm. We asked a very helpful Disney cast member about how to get to it on the My Disney app. At exactly 1:59pm I waited at the que so I could be on time to join and not 1 second after the clock turned to 2pm all the ques were full. This was the main reason I even traveled to Disney World on this particular trip. I even booked our stay at the Disney Four Points Resort so we could have a very merry Christmas trip (which we still are), but this was very, very, very disappointing, especially for me because I am a huge Star Wars fan and I was really looking forward to experiencing this attraction. However, I fullyunderstand the times we are currently in due to the pandemic so I will still make a magical day out of the wonderful place Disney World is. I just wish there was some way I could’ve experienced this awesome ride.

Good app but could use some improvements. Works really well to book your fast passes and dinner reservations. Canceling and changing fast passes is a little buggy in the app. For example if you try to cancel a fast pass you might get a spinning wheel of death and you force quit the app. When you go back into it, it will say you still have that FastPass but at some point it will cancel but it might take hours later and could mess up your plans. The biggest improvement would be to offer a Watch App where it could give you notifications of upcoming FastPasses or dinner reservations, with walking directions as an option. The dinner reservations are really slow. The wheel just spins when you try to go back to see a different restaurant. Would be nice if there was an option to pick a restaurant and see all the available days and hours for your selected time period. Instead you have to look by Day and time and then see which restaurants have availability so it takes a long time if you’re looking for a specific restaurant’s open reservations.

More Issues. This App would be amazing IF it worked as designed (minus all the bugs). The newest version may fix existing problems but it also created new ones. As soon as I updated the app my existing (previously linked) Disney Resort Reservation was deleted and I was unable to re-link it to My Disney Experience account through the app. This meant that I was unable to make fast pass + reservations for my trip (which is still more than 30+ days out). While sitting on hold for technical support for 20+ minutes I went on the computer and was able to re-link it there. However it still isn’t showing up on the app. This app has a lot of potential if it actually worked; however, instead of enhancing my “Disney Experience” it has been a source of annoyance, frustration, and wasted time. IMO Disney needs to allocate more of its resources, in order to bring this up to the standard that I have come to expect from this company and its subsidiaries. That’s why people are willing to spend thousands of dollars to visit Disney Parks; believe me it isn’t because the food is great, the weather perfect, or the lines short.

Not user friendly but not impossible. As someone who uses the Disney + app I can say that the same amount of effort, money and thought was not applied to this app. I can also say that I am not a Disney World regular. Because of this the app is not easy to use AT ALL. It’s confusing and there really isn’t that much information or help in the app itself. It’s slow to load. It takes forever to load any of the times of the rides. This makes trying to get Genie reservations at even 7am hard (and I won’t even go into how ridiculous all of the rules for Genie +. It barely makes sense and is not easy to understand). The app also takes so much battery power. I’m order for park information to stay up to date they recommend having location and Bluetooth on at all times in the park. My battery was dead by mid afternoon the first day. I also work in IT with customer facing apps and the user interface is not easy to navigate or understand. How about a simple link for checking rides at the park you’re at? Is that to easy to ask for? Instead it took me a good 2 hours to figure out where I needed to go to find this information regularly. All in all, I’m very disappointed.

Let down. The quality of the Disney experience is lacking and yet the prices have went up and no meal plans are quite frustrating and the food prices are ridiculous high. This is supposed to be a family experience not a squeeze every penny out of people experience. Walt would be extremely disappointed in what Disney has become!! The park hopper is a joke now, but you still pay extra for it. Having to reserve a time for certain rides is also frustrating because the only time you can do it is if you have that park reserved for that day or are in that park. When you have to do this at 7am or 1pm you can’t even use the park hopper to get to that park because you can’t park hop till 2! Also in the personal experiences trying to reserve a time to do an activity is a joke seems there are never any times. Ppl should be limited to so many times in a day as not to hog them all. Our family has been very disappointed in this Disney experience. We had great ones in the past! Expected so much more seems corporate greed has ruined the Disney experience!! Disappointed majorly!! Again as I said earlier I believe Walt would be extremely disappointed in what Disney has become!!

Enjoyment. I love Disney World I came here the first day it ever opened that’s how old I am but now I’m here with my granddaughter and my great grandchild and I find great confusion and I have young minds to handle all the technical things my husband is handicapped we were told at least three different stories on how to make it easier for him we followed checking in at City Hall at magic kingdom he can only stand for maybe 10 minutes at the most I can walk possibly 30 feet she said I’m putting this in but I’m gonna give you the card to go to the first amusement ride we were going to thank goodness we had it when we went to the second one haunted mansion they said we don’t even have any information on you you have to go to guest services we went there first of all the lady handling on the verge of rude finally she said you were declined we do not have anything for mobility disabilitiesWhen we went to jungle Cruise absolutely no problem Very polite considerateHopefully all management and supervisors have meetings in the morning so everything can run correctly throughout the day it’s very difficult and inconvenient for people that are hate to say it a little older and have disabilities Carol Beck

Hard to use. Figuring out the app was very confusing. When I bought the lightening pass, I thought we could just go in the line. I guess that was my own misunderstanding. Instead, you have to book times. Most of the time, those bookings were no less than an hour out, sometimes 2 or 3 and the occasional time when it was all booked and you didn’t have the option of the lightening line. Booking time so far out, you end up wasting time trying to find something to do until your next ride when it probably would’ve been better just to wait in the stand by line and you would get done faster. We rode more things in the stand by line than we did in the lightening lanes. I do not think it was worth the money for the lightening passes at all. I had so much trouble with the app freezing up or just not loading. The WiFi worked sometimes and the cell signal was spotty, I’m sure due to the overload on the towers. When you can’t get data or WiFi, you can’t book your next ride. You also can’t do mobile food orders. There are restaurants that will only take a mobile food order and if you can’t get your app to work, you just don’t get to eat there. VERY FRUSTRATING.

AMAZING!! But I have some requests!. Hello! This app is amazing, you don’t have to use a physical map where you get confused or anything, and you can track your resort room and use the cool watches the let you pass through. But I have some advice for additions to the app. First off, can you please add more mobile pick up to restaurants? It is very convenient and helps many who are rushing to get their food easily. Another thing is I think you should improve the map a bit. When you move it’s frozen until you reach a point and keeps going. I know it doesn’t seem bothersome, but when you are trying to go somewhere and it’s frozen and you forget a turn, it gets frustrating. Another thing are the photos. When I’m looking to book and attraction (fast pass) or just looking at it, I want more photos so I can see what it’s like and more of a description. Finally I think you should put more merchandise or different merchandise in different shops. Most shops have mostly the same stuff, so nobody even bothers to enter because the last few shops were the same. Please take my advice to improve the app, and the Park. Thank you!!!

Rude Disney Ferry Line Monitor. May 11, 2023 Thurs Night at Magic Kingdom waiting in Ferry Line to exit the park, a short White lady was line monitor. She was being aggressive, rude and totally disrespectful to customers. She kept yelling this statement “ get close to each other, move up the line, if the person in front of you is not moving, go around them, it is their fault they lose space.” Does she not understand coming out of a pandemic people may want/ need personal space. Does she also not know “that is how fights/ or violence can start when you intentionally tell people to cut in front of someone else all because the person is trying to keep distance between theirself & the person in front.” People were truly complaining out loud about her actions, and people in wheel chairs & kids in strollers were being boxed in literally with crowds of people being pushed together. Disney is supposed to be a fun and family oriented place. Employees like this lady need to be trained properly on how to handle large crowds: but telling people to get tight, cut around people, etc; this is a fast way to cause violence.

A MUST for a stress free Disney vacation. I love the My Disney experience app. It is a MUST for a stress free Disney vacation. Do you hate waiting in lines... yes, duh! The ability to book fast passes and change them easily, check wait times, and plan your day in the park is the best! I would say sometimes when booking fast passes for a large group it will glitch and only show it’s booked for 1 person, but in reality it has everyone on the system. Only once when I changed to a fast pass did it not sync but the cast members were very helpful. I like standing in line picking the next ride for my family, it makes visiting the parks effortless. Waiting in line to eat... Not about that life... I like ordering food in the app and just skipping past the queue for my food. When character hunting this app is a the best map! I’ve been able to see when hard to find characters are out in the parks and their exact location. Recently, I have been using it to open my resort door which is nice. I also use it to show my annual pass to get the discount on merchandise or food. Again my only complaint is sometimes it is a bit glitchy and I have to re-start the app multiple times. Overall 4/5 stars for making my Disney vacations stress free and magical with my family!

Getting Too Expensive! No Longer Worth It!. We have been coming to Disney for 25 years and have been vacation club members for 10 years. The service has been deteriorating for the last five years and continues to decline. The costs have risen 50% during this time while the quality has decreased by at least that much. They terminated all of the long term dedicated and loyal full time employees and replaced them with part time students and retirees who do not provide the same level of service. The wait lines continue to be outrageous while the rides are continuously either breaking down intermittently or are closed “temporarily” for repairs (splash mountain has been out of commission for over a year). Most decent guest conveniences have been removed completely or have been replaced with paid options (fast pass has been replaced by genie which can cost $80 per day extra for the same service that used to be free). Charge me $110 per day to visit a park and then charge me another $80 to fast pass rides that I used to get for free? No thank you. This will be my last Disney trip until Disney starts to respect their customers by getting rid of Bob Chapek, who is a money hungry corporate clown, and bring back Mike Eisner who knew how to lead a family friendly company.

Convenient but still a lot of bugs. Overall it is a good app in concept. It is very convenient linking tickets and reservations for a whole family/group. You can let people go separate ways and still coordinate activities. For example we were able to park hop from animal kingdom, and then park hop and meet up with our group in magic kingdom. Being able to sort and filter by wait times, find bathrooms and other amenities was very convenient. Features like booking lightning lane, mobile ordering for food and shopping really help maximize your day. It seemed there were a number of bugs, though. First off you’re competing for bandwidth with thousands of people, which may have affected some of the functionality. There were several times all the wait times would drop off, making that function worthless. I also experienced random problems. For example my hotel reservation inexplicably dropped off on our last day, and I wasn’t able to take advantage of early lightning lane, missing out on some of the more popular rides. The chat feature is not sufficiently manned. Trying to ask for help took 6 hours to get a response. The

Very disappointed in our visit to Disney.. Your technology was awful. Stayed in a Disney resort and ordered food ahead by using the i-phone. wWent to pick up and phone said our order was being processed. Waited about a 1/2 an hour and when we went to check on it, they didn’t have our order and had to reorder and wait again. We paid extra for the Genie plus pass . Tried to use it and wound up canceling because rides were down and decided to go on regular line. We waited for one ride for 2 hours and 40 minutes. The signs in Hollywood Studios were hard to find and the map was no help. There were no signs on shops telling what it was. Very few people around to help you find places. When we brought are kids in the 80s and 90’s it was a great experience, this time when we brought our grandchildren, I don’t want to come back.😡We have super grandchildren and they deserve better. Start improving your technology so it’s friendly to everyone and improve your signs. Also improve your garbage cans. Label the place where you are suppose to throw the trash and make that section bigger. I was standing on line and this jerk went to throw his milkshake out pushed on the unopened side, dropping the milkshake on the ground and having it spray all over me. Yelled at him because he wasn’t going to pick it up and waited for an apology that I never got. I hope you make some improvement so Disney can live up to it’s former reputation.

Nothing will link and app is frustrating to use. I have tried numerous times to link my resort reservation to this app so we can book reservations for dining etc. It will not let us use our reservation confirmation number. We have called support 3 times over the last week and got no resolution to the issue. Each time the cast member gave us a different answer for how to resolve it. None of it worked as we attempted to get this resolved prior to our 60 day mark. Now we are at the 60 day mark and some of the reservations we wanted are not available. :( Also, went to Shop Disney on the app to purchase a new Magic Band+. When the purchase was trying to go through the page would freeze and appear as if the transaction didn’t go through. I would try again over and over. My cart would still be full and I never got a purchase confirmation. The next day I got an alert from AMEX, my card was charged 5 times for the magic band. I called AMEX and they flagged the charges. Then I had to call Shop Disney support to verify that the purchase was for one magic band and not five. The cast member said none of the sales were completed. She completed a new one on the call but said it would take several days for the other five charges to fall off the card. Let’s just say that the app is unpredictable and doesn’t work very well. Keeping my fingers crossed that all of this can eventually be corrected and will work for Genie+ etc. once our days in the parks happen.

Closed rides in Animal Kingdom. Day one of our vacation and Expedition Everest, the Na’vi River Journey and Kali River Rapids were all closed. I understand the occasional breakdown but it appears to me that Disney is very slack about performing maintenance on a very regular basis. When park passes are $121 it is unforgivable that 3 of the main rides have been closed all day or at least a large portion of a day. The fast pass deal where you can get 3 fast passes but you must use all three before any others can be obtained is not fair if one of the passes is for the night time light show. That should be an exception. So here we are without being able to ride the Na’vi River ride, I cannot ride the Avatar ride due to motion sickness so I lose out entirely on anything Avatar. Thanks Disney, the Animal Kingdom is packed and out of 10 fast pass available rides in Animal Kingdom 3 are closed. 30% of your rides are closed to a packed park. As a guest who had been to the Disney parks since it was only Walt Disney world I am saddened by the current state of affairs. Paula Unversaw, New Bern, NC

Disney World Vacation. We had the best time at Disney Work Resort French Quarters. The food was good the parks were great and alive. Although it was extremely hot and humid. I would do it again I’ve been there before with my daughters that are now grown. We had the greatest travel agent. Her name was Tara Radulski. Off to Neverland. She was the greatest! She did everything and anything possible for us. But now I got to bring my little 4 year old granddaughter. And it was great seeing it through the eyes of a parent but it was more great to see it through the eyes of a grandmother. It is the most magical place on earth. We will do it again when my granddaughter is older. We stayed a week and honestly could have stayed another but we had to come home. I have so many great memories of Disney World. Since I was young with my parents. Now I’ve added a little more with the help of our very own TinkerBell 💫. Tara Radulski. Thanks to her our vacation was the most enjoyable most memorable one I’ve ever had. Much Thanks to Walt Disney for being so smart as to make this enjoyable place. That is Disney magic 💫❤️❤️❤️ Marcie Tessa Tara Bragg and Ryland 😘

So confusing to use and how the heck do you book a hotel!!??. This new version of the app is terrible. It’s slow, clunky, freezes, and is extremely confusing. I’m a hard core Disney World fan and visitor, usually several times a year. Genie+ is awful. You’re limited to one fast pass per ride per day. The times offered are terrible and pretty much non existent. It’s hard to find wait times for the rides and lightning lane times inside the app. I’m pretty sure this was done intentionally to force you to pick rides that aren’t as popular. The app also constantly shows me things I don’t care about like parades and singing shows even though I didn’t check any of them off as interests. Additionally, the app continues to show lightning lane times for rides I’m not even eligible to book. I have used mobile food order a lot the last few years but this visit with the new app, it constantly freezes, locks up, and tells me I have no order. I finally had to seek assistance from someone with a tablet. I told him how awful the new app is and he agreed and said there have been so many issues and complaints. He finally got my mobile order to show up. Anyways, not sure who designed this and came up with this terrible new lightning lane/genie+ system. It gets an F- in my book. Please revert back to the old app and previous fast pass system. I don’t care about paying for fast passes but the new system is legit horrendous.

App Failed. Hi - today was the first day I could make dining reservations. Had to use the app since I had to commute to work (bus). Every time I tried to book a restaurant, kept getting a spinning wheel when I picked the time. I would not move forward. I switched to the browser/website on my phone. That worked, but was much harder. The website wouldn’t recall my credit card on file, and it made me manually add it for every reservation. Not a good experience. While I have you, for the love of god get rid of the park reservation. The parks are still ridiculous crowded, so we’re seeing no benefits. In top of that, Parker hopper costs the same if not more, and you have to wait until 2pm, and you must go to your reserved park first. Just awful, inconvenient, and stressful. I blame the guests to a point too. Idiots complained about making their fast passes ahead of time. Well guess what, now you’re paying for the fast pass, you may get one or two good ones if you are lucky, and now you need to know what park you want to go to each day MONTHS ahead of time. Really, who is making these awful decisions. Sorry, sure you hear it a lot, but you need to keep hearing it until you come to your senses. Clean it up, your better than this. At least you were. Thanks.

Horrible App. There are very little things in regards to Disney that I could ever see something wrong with, but that was before using this app. I am shocked Disney pushes this app onto visitors. I was told I HAD to have this app to make dining reservations, special event packages, buying tickets, and the memory maker. It was a bold face lie. I bought my family’s tickets to Epcot via the app-stood in the security line, got up to get in the park and was told I had to buy tickets at another gate! I had to go to a completely different line, buy tickets in person, get a ‘card’ then get back in line to go inside of the park. Another problem I think is horrible with the app is their dining reservation tab. First you can’t search for a restaurant or even by park, only by meal time. Most importantly and annoyingly though was the reservations are useless. I couldn’t get a reservation on Christmas Eve to a restaurant in Disney Springs, well my family and I were getting hungry about 7pm and decided to walk around to that restaurant just to see what the wait would be—-absolutely no wait at all! The app tricks you to think that if the restaurant doesn’t have reservations then you can’t get a table but it isn’t the case! The mobile ordering didn’t work on our entire trip. And every single time I opened the app I had to re-sign in. I expect better of Disney and I don’t like being lied to. The only reason you have to have the app is for Memory Maker. Do not use this app.

Great ideas, terrible execution. I love the ideas behind the app and believe the data foundation supporting it is incredibly usable. But the app is screwed ip beyond belief. Highly unintuitive, unstable, and generally not well tested. Points lost in every facet: design, development, and testing. Any navigation more than a click from the home screen requires a search on the web to figure out. Want to cancel a fastpass reservation for a part of your group? Sure! Modify the fastpass, select the people you want to cancel for, select something else to fastpass for them, then go back and cancel THAT one. And here I thought it was a simple use case. Want to make a restaurant reservation while I. Epcot? Too bad. You have to scroll through every restaurant in every property because there’s no way to filter by location. There are crashes multiple times per day. Getting logged out multiple times per day. And the time it canceled all my fastpasses without me clicking submit for something else - it happened but I can’t retrace my steps. Regardless, how it could cancel ALL fastpasses in one step is beyond me. But you are held captive because it’s the only option. So much potential with all the data stored by Disney and they screwed it up with a terrible UI.

Necessary Evil. It's annoying to have to book a rides daily for a week a month (or two) in advance of our trip, more annoying dealing with the constraints of being there for 3 weeks and coordinating with friends/family coming & going in that period. This app adds insult to injury since it often crashes, lists bad/outdated data, and requires repeatedly scrolling to the day you're interested in. I've had to redo plans multiple times to adapt to available rides and accommodate friends/family who don't yet understand how mandatorily it is to know exactly what park and ride they're going to be at 30 days in advance at 7am. Often the app lists the old fast passes plus new ones, sometimes with the correct # of people and sometimes not. Clicking on old/canceled ones results in an error. I then have to scroll all the way back down to the day/time I was viewing in the my plans screen to continue where I left off (that happens even if no error, when returning to the list after viewing a fast pass or mean reservation- be annoying it doesn't remember where I was). I've found the only way to clear old data is reinstall the app, and I've done that many times on my iPhone, my work iPhone, and my iPad while planning this trip. I can't wait till my vacation comes and goes so I can delete this app for good on all my devices! This needs to be better Disney! My advice is to use the website - it's got it's own errors and drawbacks, but works less badly than he app.

Disney Genie, Genie+ and Individual ⚡️ Lane. Disney Genie is embedded into the My Disney Experience app. I didn’t really have any issues with the old app. Disney Genie has made it a little more cumbersome to navigate. I did not find My Tip Board helpful as it had us pinging all over the parks based on our recommendations of interest. We just really use the map and looked at wait times (which was there before Disney Genie). I do like the waitlist concept for restaurants but they were always full. This Disney Genie+ awful. It is not worth the money. Do not pay up front for your whole stay. We paid for it on the day we went to HWS and only got TWO lightening lane passes! We parked hopped to Epcot in the afternoon and only got TWO additional rides (4 - $60). We should have complained and asked for a refund. We also paid for individual lightening lane rides which felt like we were being nickel and dime by Disney. Lets see, Remy $36, Pandora $32 (only 2 out of 4 in the group) and one day of Disney Genie+ $60. I can’t image this is Walt’s vision. I’m disappointed with the direction Disney is going. At least make it more like Disney MaxPass, so I can make 3 at a time. Also, if you are going to charge me a premium, I should be able to ride whatever ride I want, as many times as I want.

Needs Imagineers pixie dust. The app try's to be one-stop shop for all things WDW but has execution problems due to back-end interconnectivity & great bandwidth needs for ease of use. Disney may want to rethink one app concept & come out with a couple of specialty apps or figure out a better way to import content from multiple sources. Populating reservations is hit & miss. Sometimes it's automatic sometimes you have to manually put in. No historical reservation access so if you're waiting for an attraction & reservation lapses there isn't a way to show you had one. Very clunky switching between areas of coverage & not very clean interfaces. May want to revamp interface so it's more intuitive, more visual & more Disney- like. Nothing magical with interface; aside from picking an icon that ID members of family etc there is nothing that's says Disney in the interface. Would like more 411 options, more "realtime insider" stuff tied to gps. Like alerts the parade is 60 min and best place to watch from your location is - restroom tracker, table availability, character alerts. Sync magic band to app for better in park experience. Maybe desktop version or a iPad version with more muscle. Need imagineers working on app not generic IT hacks without Disney experiences to draw from.

Confusing for a large planning party. We are a large family of 10 with multiple households. It was unclear about linking tickets. We are managing through the bumps and bruises but it has been somewhat difficult. As the vacation planner setting everything up, I didn’t realize until it was too late that children should be set up by their parent. Once all the tickets were entered and I began sharing family & friends we realized I couldn’t share their info with their parent. We also lost a member from the list when invites were accepted from the same email, that person received 2 tickets under their name in their account. Once we got that figured out, we realized he had also been deleted from our park reservations. I could no longer add him back to correct it since the ticket was now linked to another account. It looks like she can reassign the ticket to the proper account/ticket owner. It also appears that you must share with each person individually or you don’t all see the entire party that was originally set up (a security feature?). As we sent invites between us we began to see the list of family & friends grow. All in all, it’s not as seamless and easy as it seems if you are a large group. We still have to call for help with corrections for fear of deactivating or ruining our tickets before we ever get there!

Crashes constantly. I hate this app. It constantly crashes. It’s supposed to work with magic bands, reservations, fast passes, pictures, etc. the problem is it constantly has issues. It tries to log in EVERY TIME. And you’re using it at least 30 times a day to keep track of everything or figure out where you’re going. I have the worst time getting pictures to link with others in my party. Or trying to see wait times or where dining options are nearby. In theory it should bring all this up but in reality you stand around either waiting for it to load or closing the app out for for the 5th or 6th time while you wait for it to just come up at all. And I have a current phone with current iOS so don’t use the excuse I have older generation hardware. This app seriously put a damper on our trip because you have to use it for EVERYTHING. To add to it because the app doesn’t work well it slows down traffic in the park. People are constantly looking at their phones and trying to get the app to work. Whole families slow down in the middle of the park and then have to pull off to the side while they wait for fast pass times and schedules to load. Seriously Disney? You can’t figure this one out? You make mechanical dragons breathe fire during a parade, seems like you could take a little time and make an app that is CRITICAL to the park experience at least function 80% of the time. Call Apple or Microsoft. I’m sure they have an engineer who can help you.

You need to hire a travel agent to visit. Disney has kind of lost its zest. If you plan to eat while your there everything has to be reserved on and off the properties. I also added everything to the app and had to stand and line and do the entire process all over again while at the 1st park. We are used to the lines by now but it is very unfortunate that there isn’t a way to healthy unless you reserve a dinning seat and even then the options are limited. We are traveling with a vegetarian so we had to run to Publix in order for them to be able to eat. Also being a smoker which yes is taboo but there were no signs saying you can or cannot smoke. I asked one of the staff members who were very helpful. But she mentioned ppl just light up and then it’s a whole thing. Well how are ppl who do smoke supposed to know? I understand we are coming out of covid and staff is limited but for what you are charged I am not sure it is worth doing more than once anymore. We celebrated a 6 year old birthday I was hoping it wouldn’t have been so hard to just eat. Maybe next time we will do groceries if we decide to ever come back.

Waiting to be impressed.. We are disney fanatics. We have enjoyed the many visits to Disneyland and California Adventure and have always been blown away by their customer service. This is far superior than what our experience has been so far at Disney World. The resort rooms are not worth the money at all for the lower budget rooms. They are CRAZY small and ours was not clean to the Disney standard. We were recently traumatized by the Northern CA fires and we couldn't get our mail as planned due to significant delays. Some was Disney attire (costumes and such). I called the resort and asked if they would accept a package. They were so gracious about it. Come to find out Disney is CHARGING us a handling fee. Never mentioned that and it's like we are being punished for having having fire wreak havoc on our beautiful county. We ate at Art of Animation and it was disgusting. Best of all- they lost our stroller. We never received it from the Magical Express and they blame our airline, Virgin America. I checked it in. I watched them load it on the airplane. We are at the parks with no stroller. It was a simple umbrella one but our 5 year old gets tired. So now we have to PAY to rent one each day. I'm shocked Disney. I expected more from you and hoping to make the next few days magical...just waiting for that to happen.

Hollywood Studios. My experience only gets 3 Stars because I booked my vacation 3 months ago. And one the reason why I came to Disney is because of Star Wars Rise of the resistance. Once I got to the park, come to find out a I needed a reservation to attend that attraction. I not only was not able to book a reservation that same day. My park ticket was swapped from Animal Kingdom to Hollywood studios on my final day so that I can attend the ride however when I tried booking at 7am in the morning within 30 secs the ride was already booked for the day. Out of all the years I’ve attended Disney Parks this has been the most disappointing. It makes no sense. You need a Park reservation and tickets to get into the park yet on the day you arrive one ride has reached its capacity within 30 secs of the ride being opened for booking. I should’ve gotten an email or some type of communication from Disney letting me know that I had to make a reservation for this ride. Now that I know I will tell all my family and friends about this experience and how who ever you speak to tells you they have no control over the booking system. This experience has truly left a bad taste in my mouth and has forced me to consider attending other Non Disney Parks

First time user. Good app. Lots in there if you press all the buttons. Great to be able to book all direct with Disney. Happy

Happiest place .... ??. You pay $119 to wait 150 mins (not the 125 stated on app) for a ride that last, say, 10sec. While the staff at the front allow people who have a fast pass with a set time in earlier than their scheduled time to make the standbyers wait longer. The fastpass were long gone earlier this morning. Occupational health requires food/water breaks every 2 hours for staff, obviously, not patrons. Plus no staff to monitor the queue jumpers because Who wants conflict in the holidays.

Appalling app. This is a truly frustrating and appalling app. It is so not user-friendly. Difficult to navigate and find what you are looking for. Better off not bothering with it at all.

Star Wars tours photo. We have been waiting for almost 30 minutes in line for our photo to be taken yet there is only one person in front of us in the line. We was told twenty minutes ago that we only had to wait for ten minutes.

So easy to use. This app has really helped me plan my trip to Disney world! It’s super easy to use and you can feel the magic radiating through the screen! The wait times are extremely accurate and the detail in the map is amazing!

Saturday 4th January. Lines are exceptionally long. No cover in rain. Ponchos too expensive and should be part of the ticket. Where are the characters?

Chat with us is gone?. What happened to the “chat with us” function in the app, it suddenly got removed. This is the most useful function in this app, it allows you to ask questions without the need to wait over an hour for a cast member at a counter.

Why can’t the app be viewed in landscape view? It used to be so. I used to love this app, but it won’t rotate to landscape, which is extremely annoying when I want to use it on my iPad

Poor customer experience. Worst mobile app I have ever used. Disney should read these reviews and fix the issues. We have had the same problems with linking tickets and fast passes experienced by so many others. Their personal customer service is also worst than their app as they made us wait for an hour to apparently resolve their issue which was their problem in the first place. My son is very disappointed.

Amazing. Great app very convenient you can find wait times anytime and you can make fastpasses and reservations tickets and more couldn’t get any better

Great app. Great app - makes everything so much easier. Good map. Accurate wait times.

Disney app. Very easy and helpful to navigate for international visitors I live in Australiai

Pandora Expansion Mismanaged. Both rides at the Pandora Expansion are terribly mismanaged, leading to 3+ hours wait times. All due to constant closures and malfunctions of the rides. Further, after the exciting waiting queues of Space Mountain etc, I am terribly disappointed that Disney didn’t put a little more effort forward in making the waiting experience more entertaining. Overall, overwhelmingly disappointed with the Pandora Expansion.

The Johnson’s from Australia Vacation Jan 2023 at WDW. This is our second time around in WDW. We love the environment in the resort. Love the Grand Floridian resort the whole area. Play area are great for young and adults. There are constructions going on but didn’t bother us at all. We love GF! Our first time in Riviera Resort is excellent love the environment, love the Italian primo restaurant, swimming pools there are three swimming pools on the site, love the gym where our granddaughter use the treadmill they provided towels, snacks and coffee where you can help yourself, love walking around the resort and nearby resort like the Carrabean Resort where it is overlooking from our room in Riviera Resort, can watch over the fireworks at Epcot at 9pm at the front entrance of the Riviera Resort, from our room you can watch the moving skyline, we went through the skyliner visiting the Pop Century Resort and The Art of Animation both Resorts are colourful and beautiful for young and adults, we had our lunch at The Art of Animation and we love the food as they have varieties to choose from, have a huge play area in particular their swimming pools. All the cast members that we came across are all helpful and happy to assist. Our room in GF is excellent! Similar to Riviera. Our granddaughter love going to the fire pit to roast the free marshmallows. We’ve been to the theme parks where this is our second time around and surprisingly they still have the Christmas decorations and playing Christmas songs which gives a taste of Christmas atmosphere though it’s January 2023. So far we are going to move to Disney’s Saratoga, this will be our second time staying at Saratoga resort.

Perfect help. Love this app. Second time using it and it’s so very helpful

Avoid this app. Absolute waste of time, can’t do anything unless you create an account but when you try you can’t accept the terms and conditions so you can’t create account

Best fun ever !!. This place is amazing, I really would love to come back love from Australia.!!

International shipping. Shopping @ Disney springs spent an hour getting all the Christmas gifts together for the family that we cannot buy in Oz. Processed payment filled out all the shipping documents only to be told Disney couldn’t ship out goods to Australia anymore from Florida.

Terrible dining reservation system - glitches out constantly. Tried tried reserving and wouldn’t take my oversea credit card

Great App. REALLY helpful when planning your trip and has a great map for when you are there!! It’s a must

Love the app!. Something I would like to have would be a countdown feature for the big D-day!

Holiday at Disney world. Wait times, wait times, wait times... need to limit the amount of people into the park daily so everyone gets a go without having wait 70% of the day in lines..

Absolutely the worst app I’ve ever attempted to use.... We have booked 8 days at Disney World Florida and unfortunately this app is completely necessary if you want to do anything at Disney world and it is a complete waste of programming and memory. It doesn’t work for more than a minute or two without locking, crashing or sending and error message. If we weren’t forced to use it we would definitely steer clear of this POS app. It is perhaps the most frustrating part of the Disney experience, this app is where nightmares come true. I can’t believe a Fortune 500 company that pulls in more than $100mill per day at Disney Florida can’t pay someone to create a decent app that actually works. If you are like us and have paid for Disney tickets good luck and best wishes for using this junk. Universal Studios Florida app actually works well, Disney should just pay their developers for rights. Anyway good luck...

Freezes/glitches. Freezes too much

Freezes and drops out often. Keep trying to use it but it drops out quite a lot or freezes while trying to use

Very buggy. App causes phone to freeze. Had to reset phone to computer as it would not shut down. Reloaded app and now inserts two last passes when I only book one.

Walt Disney world app. Helps me better when the paper maps because this tells where we are to

Hotels. Would have been great to search and purchase hotels in your resorts through the app we are overseas travellers and it’s very overwhelming the choice and selection, so purchasing tickets and accomodation together would have been great But you can’t do that

Bad check in. Our flight was cancelled and despite notifying Riverside resort of arriving a day late there was no booking for the Magical Express bus or at Port Orleans Riverside. The whole process took much longer than required resulting in missed time in the park and very disappointed children.

Makes fun less work. Easy to organise your entire trip from this app. Couldn’t be more intuitive or easy to use.

Marina Tsoukalas. So far the linking of the tickets was not an easy process, it doesn’t confirm when each ticket is working or linked. Here’s to hoping the remainder of the app works. I was disappointed I couldn’t shop online either

Fabulous App. My family & I used this very valuable application daily whilst in Orlando. Such a great way to save wasting and enjoy the Disney journey.... hope to use it again when we return .....

Amazing. Had no problems with it. I downloaded the app without going to Disney world to get some insight on what the wait times, experiences and events would be like. The virtual map is also very helpful.

So Useful. This is a very useful App especially when you are on the go & something you want to do or know about pops into your head.

International travelers beware. Disney is great. However there is so much that you just don’t know about when booking internationally. What ride are suitable and this whole fast track option. Basically don’t try to use fast track when you arrive. It’s way too late. Next is the constant hand in your pocket from Disney in general. Kids come to meet the characters but it’s book and pay make that happen if you want that photo. Want to sit down and eat somewhere nice without having booked? Forget it. This the challenge for international travelers. Your only going to come once but unless you know the system you only get a small part of the experience. It’s a long way to come to be disappointed.

Can I give no stars?. Utterly useless app . A trillion dollar company cannot produce an app that recognises our tickets. No recognition - no fast passes. No fast passes - two days attendance and eight rides in total . Average wait per ride? 70 minutes. If you have kids anything older than being smitten with a character mouse go to Universal Studios instead by way of comparison we went on EVERY ride we wanted to in two parks on one day. Average wait time 10 minutes. Quality of rides waaaay better than Disneys. Miss the rat.

Navigation. When I get taken from the beginning I can’t find my way back. This is bad because I’m computer savvy

Low grade entertainment. Stupidly crowded with poor attractions. Whole park is in a time warp. Ticketing and fast pass is a farce and all the staff look like they would rather be working at Universal Studios. Disney can afford to sleepwalk along as millions will visit even though it is rubbish.

Terrible App. Agree with other reviews about this app. We are going to miss out on so much because we can't plan properly as the app crashes or says try again later, so you try again later and it does it twice. So bad that a company such as this, can't provide a decent app. We are travelling from Australia and I am having to call them to make dining reservations. Two dining reservations took almost two and a half hours on the phone !!!!! Come on Disney, get this sorted out and fast.

Fast passes and entry.. Currently having the worst experience with entry and fast passes. Spent 20 minutes at guest services this morning now standing in a line at guest experience team as issues with linking and app not letting me select all 4 of us for fast pass.

App crashes every time - useless. Won’t even load since last update

Unresponsive, crashing nightmare. First time ever to Disney World and the app is just atrocious. Constantly crashes, locks up and needs restarting multiple times and still doesn't eork. Doesn't ever remember your password even with face ID set up. Why does it need to log in all the time? And when it finally does work you switch sections and then becomes unresponsive again. Pointless

Can’t do without this app.. Best app ever. Using it at Disneyworld and it working as intended and makes the day easier.

Fast pass. This app would benefit from having average wait times for experiences, that could also be checked while booking fast passes.

App is amazing but not stable on new iPhone. App is great however just swapped to new iPhone 11 pro and the app just kept shutting itself. Can we please have a look at it as I really need the app to work when I’m at the park in two weeks time. Thanks!

Poor service. 5 day pass, 3 rides cancelled. Just waste time walking around. Then they deny you any compensation when you try to redeem their passes.

Difficult to use. This app is slow and difficult to use. You have to constantly sign in to access your information. It glitches and is difficult to navigate, need to look at Disney California app or Universal Florida app for upgrading

Slow to refresh and messaging is useless. The app as a concept is strange, you’ll spend all day refreshing your phone and looking at your phone instead of enjoying a pre planned day. But the messaging feature is what earns 1 star, it’s pointless. The people on the other end have no capacity or authority to assist or help in any way with and you just get shuffled around for hours without resolving issues which would take a 20 second phone call (But you can’t exactly make a phone call during a show or lunch).

Olive King. What a fantastic place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Buses take you to where you want to go. Rooms are clean tidy and have everything we need although we did lose a bed! It went up to the wall. Would highly recommend.

Terrible. It does not work well on androids, keeps closing all the time, not intuitive at all, neither has good explanations for each button

Way over crowded. We came here during holidays in 2019. But 2023 is way too worse… wait time to ride is almost 2 hrs and ride canceled.. Lightning lane is even worst than stand by…It seems like, Disney over booked the “overbooking” such a disappointment to travel two days for three rides in a day… 😌😌😌😌😌

Cant cancel Dinner reservations. Everything in this app worked fine for me except the dining reservations. It was a pain to reserve and impossible to cancel. I’ve been trying for hours, even re installed the app, but cancelling a Be our Guest lunch reservation is impossible. I get the mesage “we’re having trouble loading this page” no matter what. The other option being calling, but if youre abroad making international calls is a no no. Other than that it is so nice that you can see the waiting times, and basically manage everything with the app.

Nothing seems to work. Genie Day service doesn’t actually populate with anything. Nobody responds to the chat. Aside from having a map of the park, I’m not sure that the app has any value.

Linking Family. It’s incredibly difficult to link family members. The QR code never works and manually entering the code also doesn’t work. Email seems to be the only way.

Too complicated. Can’t link two accounts genie is bakwaas

Confusing beyond belief. I did not expect this from Disney, as the experience on the app is complicated, disjointed and everything NOT Disney!! Not even sure what Disney Genie Plus is for, paid for it but again what it is for who knows?

Walking directions. This is my most used function. I’ve even shown a few others how to use it. Great feature!

Unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. Seems to work well, but has been designed to infuriate any normal human to the point of giving up.

Avatar ride. The waiting time is inhuman - almost 5h!!! Once you are inside - 4h - there are no washrooms, nowhere to buy drinks or sit down. This is supposed to be fun for kids! How can that be enjoyable for families?! Disney you need to find a better solution!!! There can be virtual lines or do not accept people once the fast passers represent more than 50% of the riders.

Feel sorry for anyone not a millennial or Gen Z. I’m 50. Not young, but definitely not old. I’m having the hardest time figuring out the app for our trip.

Connexion. Pas capable de modifier une réservations pendant l’attente dans une fille même avec2 ou3 bar sur le wifi.

My Disney Experience. It is a great tool to help manage your park days. We are traveling with our grandchildren this trip and has been of great benefit to prebook attractions and help plan ahead. My first time using it so I had to use the tutorial to help get the most from the app.

Cold evenings. Disney should really invest in outdoor heaters for those places for paid sittings for Fireworks Buildings that are marked on Maps should correspond with large numbers on buildings and restaurants Identifying/corresponding Magic Bands Should actually tell time and have tracking steps!

Awful. Huge waste

All about the money!. There needs to be a limit on the amount of people that pass through the gates per day. Close to two hundred dollars per person, then stand in lines for one to two hours to get on the rides. Disney only cares about how much cash they can bring in. Walt must be turning over in his grave! Shame on all those who claim to call this the happiest place on earth ☹️. Very disappointed

Lightning pass is a farce. Lightning pass is not worth its money. Can’t book more than one at a time. 3 times attractions or rides were rendered out of service wasting our time finding others. I felt like I was scammed the money for the six of us.

Line ups. Too long

Hard to navigate. App layout is randomly thrown together with no logical categorization or common UI elements. Difficult to find what you’re looking for.

Not what it used to be. Disney World overbooks, it became quite apparent it looks after shareholders way before customers. Prices have skyrocketed since my last time here 7 years ago, yet we’re greeted on every ride by a dozen employees whose work could be put to better use. Whoever developed the Genie+ program should be fired, it’s not only confusing, it’s also extremely frustrating

Version française svp 😊. 😅

Crashing. Continues to crash, iPad and phone. I was so looking forward to using this app while on our trip.. but I can’t trust it to work

Correct my name. I cannot find to correct my name that it should be Raymond instead of Taymond. Please correct my name. Thanks

Great support tool, but not to be relied on. There are several problems with this program. I don’t know if it’s on the backend or on the interface, but after 10 attempts, we weren’t able to cancel a restaurant reservation. We had to go online to the website. That was the first issue we had. Then when I accidentally added something to my day, I was never able to remove it, despite making multiple attempts. Another issue when adding an activity to my day it didn’t add my entire group by default. I had to go back in and try to add the rest of my party but even that wouldn’t work either. Not a big deal for out party but if people split up they didn’t know when to be somewhere. Also, don’t rely on the interactive directions because it will occasionally misdirect you and take the wrong route. Example we were literally standing right next to Monster Inc. in Tomorrow Land and it wanted us to walk eight minutes around to get to it. Another drawback to the program when you’re in the individual park hours and you’re looking at Showtimes if you change the filter somewhere else, it will show you that parks showtimes, regardless of which one you’re looking at the hours for. Another flaw in the program I found was the times didn’t always reflect accurately. For example, we were going to see the fireworks at Magic Kingdom for 8PM and when I tried to add it to my day, it said the time was 1 AM in the morning, not sure why that was. I suspect this was a display problem.

Ticket. Can’t purchase ticket via app. Keep “loading”. No one answer you. And no operation time offering

Awful web service. We tried to access accommodation services multiple times and faced many issues on both the website and the process so we gave up. I tried purchasing magic bands for my family but I can’t select purchase or update my shipping address. So frustrated.

Unexpected bad app. I can’t belive how this app is inefficient N 2022, common Disney do something about it

Avoir le cité en français également. Cite Juste en anglais j’aimerais pouvoir avoir des options de langue

Uses ALL my data!. This app has used 136MB of my cellular data in 4 days! This app alone! What is it DOING? The map is clearly not cached, since it reloads it every time I Zoom in or out, which is ridiculous. Like, how often does the map of Disneyworld actually change? Annually? The app is also CONSTANTLY making me log back in. So annoying. It earns one extra star, since it opened my hotel door when I forgot my magic band.

Useless. This app literally ruined our experience at Disney! I do not know where to start! Unfortunately no one has time to read these reviews until after they finish their visit. I wish I had read all these negative reviews beforehand. I would have done much better without the app and without the genie +. The app kept me busy all day trying to book lighting lanes that are not available for the times that suits you. There is no park schedule anywhere until it’s past their time and you see their scheduled times after they become inactive. Navigating through the app is very confusing and there is not enough guidance for the first time visitors. If you are buying tickets for family members, let everyone do that on their phone individually. We could not add the family members tickets to their Disney accounts. Parks guest services could not help us either after wasting one hour… Very disappointed! I did not expect this from Disney!

RC. Can’t sign in

Map. Map directions are glitchy, work on it

Freezes :-(. The right review option always seems to show up at the moment that the app is frozen for minutes at a time lol

Good. Lines are a little long but fun!!!!⭐️⭐️👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Frozen screen. Screen freezes “ introducing your new dynamic home screen” upon start up. Have re installed app etc and still not working for iOS.

Chaotic. The genie plus app adds to the general chaos of the park. Booking rides on the apps is confusing and the time restraint on booking apps is EXTREMELY INEFFICIENT and FRUSTRTING

App is very slow. The app is very slow making it very difficult to book activities and restaurants for our upcoming trip to Disneyworld.

Not frictionless - BIG FAIL. It takes 4 clicks to find my room key - not smart. Self app checking fails to delivery actual key cars and pre paid dinner cards with the needed PIN. BOB IGER. GFY

Doesn’t work. If it worked it would be good but half the time it doesn’t work

Amazing!. First time visiting Magic Kingdom!!! I had a blast!!❤️❤️❤️

They keep making it worse. Unfortunately, Disney keeps working very hard to make this app worse. With the introduction of Genie+, the app became clunky and almost useless.

No french. No french

Poor design. The design of the app is very confusing. One family member just bought a ti key and we can figure out how to share with other family members. Isn’t that a very common situation that should be straightforward to solve?

Not a magical App. Not a magical app! This will just give your trip stress and if you pay for Genie+ for LL it’s just a money grab nothing else. If you’re not fast enough you’ll end up on the LL booking late. This App stressed me my whole trip at Orlando. This app is the worse app I’ve used.

Trouble changing password. Old account and password can’t be reset

Does not work. I’ve been trying to make a ticket purchase for 6 hours with no success. I even called the Disney phone and after 46 min they hung up the phone. I had to end up buying the ticket with a third party. Now I am trying to buy genie+ and the same, “unable to process the payment”, “unable to accept Disney gift card at the moment”. Total mess for a huge price! The magic is over.

Staffing. Rides are understaffed resulting in long wait times.

Not a good app!. It’s hard to check your fast passes and there should be an option to navigate to a place in the map. Currently it’s difficult to find your destination

Won’t open after update. Sure hope the issue gets fixed before we’re in WDW later this month.

Genie plus and LL. It’s a miserable process to connect a group to get Genie plus. Most miserable is that you can’t get Genie plus the days before but only after midnight of the same day. You have to get up at 6 am to go to the app. Who came up with this messy plan?

funny thing is we paid for lighting lane and then waiting in standard lane. We are not happy at all today, seems like ripped offf openly… i would like to get my money back for lighting lane and stay in the park until we have energy to stand in line. If avatar is really busy they should have system to do online booking so we can plan day accordingly. How someone know same day and in the morning 7 am. People who ate travelling from far also need to arrange high speed internet now??? It looks like totally waste of money. If there is fast lane or so called lighting lane then there should not be booking and blal bla… we are paying for park, then paying for Gini and then pay for individual lighting and still is not available. Unbelievable, so frustrated that should we continue or go somewhere else. I need my money back for lighting lane

Overly and Needlessly Complex. Disney has made the park experience overly and Needlessly complex with this app and the new services / features. We're 2 days away from our 4th trip to DW and neither I nor the app can tell you what time we are to check-in to our resort, if we have genie+ or just regular genie, or if we have the photo pass setup. First - check-in, I adjusted check-in to 9am on the app it shows 9am, on the website it shows check-in is after 3pm. Obviously there's something misaligned here. Second - Genie and Genie+ I couldn't begin to tell you the difference but for $15 per person per day I'd rather have it than not. However everytime I click to buy it I'm sent through a loop that never concludes with a genie+ purchase. Third - Photo Pass I have a receipt but it's not linked to our experience although I have attempted to link the service numerous times. Fourth - Mobile Magic? What is it? Why do I need it if I have magic bands? Why does it show up with members of my party that aren't going but had gone on prior trips? They're not in any of our plans this time yet they show up in Mobile Magic. More importantly 1 person who is going does not show in the list. I plan to call in the morning to get these issues straightened out but I shouldn't have to and I shouldn't have to take a class or watch videos on how to use these services. There's too much friction in the app and the process to justify the effort.

Polite Pig. My family and I were looking for a quick service gluten free restaurant. We inquired at the polite pig and learned that there were some gluten-free options for my wife, she has celiac disease. After ordering we sat down and were quickly served our drinks. Our food, however, was nowhere to be found. As we had flown in from Ny earlier we were quite ravenous. Our patience was wearing thin. Nicolette, the manager, came to the rescue. After being informed that we were waiting by a server she assured us that she would take care of us. She asked for our receipt, apparently our order never made it from the cashier’s machine to the kitchen. With compassion and care Nicolette assured us that we would have our order in just a moment and we would be receiving a complimentary dessert. Our food arrived seconds later and we were gratefully enjoying our meal when she asked if there was anything else she could do for us. We were so appreciative and thankful for her kind and caring service.

Current version is clunky and confusing. I think this app needed a bit more time before rollout. Many things are confusing and frustrating. The genie keeps showing me things I said I did not want to see and filled my day full of dining when I only wanted thrill rides. The map feature is nice, but the walking directions do now update and freeze often. Wait times on the app are consistently different than those in person. The app stalls and takes a very long time to load. You miss competitive things like virtual lines because of it. I got genie plus. It was confusing and frustrating. 5 rides were canceled during my stay and because the app is not clear, I was under the impression I had to create a new fast pass reservation at a later time. Turns out, they just give you a free fast pass to use on anything. The way they do it is so confusing though that the poor cast members had to explain everything for me. Fast pass max at Disneyland was a great app. It was similar to this one, but worked much better. I would like to go back to that system please:)

The genie+ needs some serious adjustments. So you have to have this app or you have to go online to use the genie+ (lightening lane) or sign up for virtual queues. It has very limited explanation for how to use or the the rules for using the genie+. There’s so many unexplained rules with little to no explanation without leaving that page. You can only sign up for genie+ the day of so no trying to figure out how it works early or pre-planning which park you want to be in if you want to park hop. You cannot use the lightening lanes like any other park and simply go stand in line. You have to reserve the time on the app. You can only reserve every 1.5-2hrs. You only get one time option to pick from per ride, so that can be literally be 1min away or 4 hours away and you have to plan your day around that. So overall the genie+ portion of the app is so stressful and literally keeps someone on their phone ALL day long trying to figure out the rules, selecting times and planning routes. Plan on memorizing a how-to way in advance and then keep it handy as a reference because the only how to is a very vague video reference.

When I wish upon a Star, I wish this app worked better!. If it would work properly, this app would be the best. Pages constantly never loading (and not just on my phone or with my data plan but on everyone I know who uses it). Seems like it’s not designed for the amount of people using it/high traffic and is constantly showing errors. Same goes my MDE on the disney world website. When it does work, it’s easy to use and makes my days in the park run smoothly now that you basically have to book everything in advance for your Disney vacation. I’ve been trying to online check in for a week now and everytime I try it says come back later. Also, not all of my fastpasses show up on the app but they show up on the MDE website? And yes, I know I can call Disney tech support but it’s just annoying. Hope this app gets better in time because all in all I do love it.....when it works!

Genie+ unable to purchase | Struggled for an hour. Nothing happens when trying to click on purchase genie+ . Have been trying since 12 am as I will visit the park today . Developers should have some courtesy to display a message if something is wrong with the app. I restarted my phone , disabled wifi , tried with my data still no luck. Disney app is up to date, I know it’s not my phone issue or app version issue coz when I try to do the same on my wife’s phone see the same behavior. Developers , plz have some ways to ensure app does what it is suppose to do so that we can have less struggle while booking genie plus . Wasted 1 hour of my time . Didn’t expect this from Disney developers purchase genie+ .

5 Stars is all it will allow me!!. Never in a million years would I have thought this would be the vacation of a lifetime but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Forget the beach or the mountains , this is the only place to vacation !!! They make sure you are taken care of at all points of the resorts , parks , etc. I can’t believed I’ve waited this long to finally come here with my family!! We will become DVC (Disney Vacation Members) Members after this trip and will be coming here every year from this point forward!! Kids loved it but I think we (parents) loved even more!! It’s a must and highly recommend you vacation!! Couple things to point out , Set everything up before you leave ( Disney Agent) , use the free provided transportation system ( Don’t try to drive!!) and most importantly setup fast park passes as you go and continue to refresh the app over and over til you get the fast pass you want ( You will see what I mean when you do this!!) Good Luck!!! 5 Stars!!!!

Well-Made and Useful App for Disney Trips!. I have used this app twice now on two separate trips to Disney and it's a LIFE SAVER! You can easily plan your day, check wait times, order food, and store your tickets in one place. I know others have mentioned having issues loding tickets in, but that has not been the case for me. Anither common issue seems to be glitches, but once again, that has not occurred for me. All 5 tickets scanned easily into the app and gave me quick access to them. The ability to order meals helps a lot when you want to fit as much into your day as possible but don't want to wait in food lines. My favorite feature is the ability to check wait times. It helps out a lot with planning and the best times to hop in line. Overall, this is a very useful app for anybody planning a Disney trip.

Could be more helpful. The app is nice to have but certainly doesn’t meet my expectations of Disney. I haven’t found a way to check bus times except for “from your resort.” This is not helpful when you are away from the resort and trying to get back. The app needs to provide a way to check the number of meals and snacks remaining on your meal plan so you don’t have to keep track of paper receipts. Finally FastPass, please allow better management of FP. If we deleted one and tried to rebook a different ride we would get a notice, “Not so fast” because the app thought we had already booked our maximum. If you buy a park hopper, why not allow FP for multiple parks. Only allowing three FP per day isn’t good enough for the money you spend to get into the parks. If you have the technology to tie pictures you are taking of our family to our app log in id even when we did not use FP and scan our magic band, you should have the ability to provide the suggestions we have noted here.

Very helpful, but.... It is a great app if you constantly go to Disney world and Disneyland. It can help you easily book fast passes, and give you offers for fun events. It shows you wait time for rides, attractions and shows. It can even give directions from one ride to another. Overall, it is a great app that can help you plan your adventure. On the other side though, when you are looking at the map that shows wait times and where parks are located, it dosn’t always show up. The screen will either kick you out back to the app’s home screen or will load slowly or will go light brown. Sometimes, when you press on the app the castle will appear like normal then will kick you out of the app. This even happens when your connected to internet ad have WiFi. It can be a little slow. I would say this is a great app if your willing to pay the sacrifice for it to load. It can be really helpful and I know me and my family use the Disneyland one all the time and it is pretty similar to this app. If you are new to this park or not new at all it can be used to your advantage.

Simple billing request. All I’m trying to do is get a copy of my bill for a recent stay, I would have thought this would be in my Disney app but it’s not, I can’t access my profile to confirm my email which was just confirmed as wrong by a cast member who then transferred me to billing only to be told about a 167 minute wait time. The app didn’t allow me to check in when I arrived so I guess my email was entered wrong at the front desk that day. I have too many hours wrapped up in trying to get a bill for a one night stay during a Disney Learning Institute seminar, if nothing else I’ll get this resolved in May when I’m back for another seminar and can actually talk to someone at the front desk instead of getting transferred to billing for a three hour wait! I’ve tried the chat a few times too, maybe my last message will get this resolved as I didn’t get an immediate “we’ll get back to you in 24 hours” reply. And to top it off I need to enter a nickname, how many millions of the are there and how many times do I need to see that “this one is taken” to get you this feedback? This just keeps getting more frustrating by the step!

A better way to experience the magic of Disney World. The Disney World app is a way to basically navigate the entirety of Disney World Orlando, such as Disney Springs, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and such forth. It provides a novel experience to plan out what food you may be interested in trying, what the fastest wait time on rides are, and shops that might have what your looking for! With the app, booking reservations is much simpler, literally a click of a button! There is a big issue, though. With reservations booked at the click of a button, it basically means EVERYONE in Disney World can click that same button, making it a struggle to ensure that you are able to do what you want to, to the point of waking up at the crack of dawn to do so. Other than that, the app promises better ways to navigate Disney World, and is a major factor to anyone who wishes to get their Magical vacation fix.

You can’t do Disney World without it. Disney World just cannot be done without this app. It makes planning in advance and in the moment very easy with fast passes and attraction wait times all available in the app. As soon as I finish one ride, I check the app to see where to head next based on wait time. Mobile ordering is huge, especially now with most places requiring it due to COVID. This is where my frustration arises. More options / modifiers need to be available. For example: I always get a (basic) cheese flatbread at Contempo Cafe. This isn’t available through the app. I have to order a meat lovers flatbread and then ask the cast members for just cheese. Two of the five times I’ve ordered this entree this trip have come out as incorrect. There are other examples of additional modifiers, but this is the most important example to me. Other feedback would just be to improve overall responsiveness and performance with more rapid feedback for navigation options. Definitely positive feedback for the continued improvements over the past several years. Keep it up!

Cumbersome and not user friendly. To start with the good…. I really like the interactive map with location finder and estimated ride wait times. This by far was a great feature by itself. However , overall it’s a very awkward app to use and Genie plus is restrictive/cumbersome. Unable to reserve lighting lane for everyone in our group at same time unless we set there and sync our selections at the same exact time. Was difficult to plan our day in advance. We could only stay planning at 7am the day of our visit which is not beneficial, especially for parents. Genie plus is a rather difficult to use system. Just let us plan our day with reservations to make the most of our day versus only allowing one at a time. Finding our daily plans was difficult and required focus. I felt like I was looking at my phone all day with this app just trying to figure it out and search for my plans. With as much technology that is currently available, this app falls short.

My Disney experience app before I have even departed on my trip. I haven’t yet been to Disney but even with a group of two the app is confusing. And often though I’ve downloaded the my Disney experience app, I cannot access any of our reservations or park tickets and other dining etc. as it says hello but then tells me the app can’t access anything including my hotel. I have to go in through the internet to my Disney experience as the only way I can finally get access to my reservations on the app has been to constantly delete and reinstall it. I realize with COVID etc there are only a certain amount of people allowed in the parks (though I’m sure social distancing is not a thing and they will still be crowded) and that we are supposed to link our accounts. My friend’s only way in is to use my password so security there is useless. Luckily I trust her and this will be deactivated after our vacation. I do wonder being a senior and not very tech savvy how older folks are supposed to ‘get with the program’ of this way of navigating the parks when nothing about it is easy nor user friendly and is actually very confusing and time consuming.

Not a functional app. Most aspects of the app were down. I can’t express my disappointment with Disney over the headache this caused on our vacation. Two days spent on the phone waiting for a person. I found a back door pressing new reservation at the end of day two and got into a shorter queue (3 hours). All other attempts disconnected after hours of waiting. I kept hearing around the hotel everyone was having trouble while I waited. I was able to make a purchase, which timed out during checkout from the Disney site. There was room on the schedule for a reservation, but after I bought the tickets, the part where you make a reservation was down and I couldn’t reach a person by phone for two days. So I finally get help to get a reservation, but I can’t get a mobile ticket from this app now. So I will have to stand in line tomorrow to get a physical ticket. So, unless Disney gets it together prepare for a lot of waiting and trial and error to get help. Hopefully our actual day at the Magic Kingdom goes better than the booking process. Good Luck to all of you on your trip to Disney.

Very nice app, a few suggestions. Very good app. It was easy to use and had the majority of features and functionality I was expecting. The mapping and filtering functionality is great, as is the mobile ordering. Fast pass booking felt a bit flaky, as you can attempt to schedule, see nothing available or only extremely late times, refresh and have a completely separate list. Selecting a specific time in the filter would also provide booking times that were not previously available based on the general ‘afternoon’ or ‘evening’ filters. A few things I felt would increase the overall UX: 1. Clicking on details for a ride or attraction wait time could show trends, up or down. For instance, there were times I may have chosen to walk to a ride if I knew the wait times were falling based on the previous update, or previous time frame. Or I may have avoided a ride altogether if I saw the wait times trending upward. This would give guests a better idea of the lulls in the day and help us make more informed decisions of what to ride and when. 2. Push notifications for when fast pass times approach, similar to mobile ordering push. This could even be time based, as you know our location to the park, and how long it will take us to walk from our current location to the next fast pass. This could also offer an option for directions (preferably linked to Apple Watch), as it’s easy to get turned around in some of the parks. Overall really good job though, keep up the awesome work!

Rise of the resistance. In order to enjoy the rise of the resistance experience you are expected to join a queue. You have to join it via the app but you can only try it on the day of your visit to the park, and not one minute before 7 am. Guess what? It doesn’t work! I was an obedient little soldier and stared at my phone for a few minutes. When the clock turned to 7 am I clicked on “join virtual queue” and it immediately took me to a screen that said the queue was full for the day! What? That seems impossible unless Disney is giving preference to guests staying at “Disney” hotels. What about other guests that have also spent thousands of dollars visiting Disney? This ride experience was solely the reason for our trip to Disney. My son flew from NC to meet us specifically to experience the rise of the resistance! What a disappointment and a waste of thousands of dollars 💰💰💰 Thanks Disney.

Not intuitive, crashes all the time. The Disney App is one of the less intuitive and disorganized I’ve ever used. It is slow and locks up easily. It is so bad that at some point we decided to just go with the paper map and schedule. What is even worse is that now you have to request a “boarding pass” for some rides using this app. It is pretty much a lucky ticket based on the boarding group you are assigned. It doesn’t matter if you are at the park at 4:00 am or just arrived when the attraction opened. It depends on whether you can get on the Disney servers at exactly the same time the attraction opens. The problem is that the app “locks you out” because of the hundreds of people trying to get in at the same time. I arrived at the park before 7:00 am and at 8:00 am when the Ride of the Resistance ride opened, guess what happened? The app crashed on me!!! Five minutes after battling with the app I finally I got a boarding pass for group 121. BUT, then I read a disclaimer indicating that only those on group 71 and under will be the ones riding that day. After my last weekend trip to Disney parks I decided that I am done with them for the rest of my life!

The app has a lot of flaws. It is very inconvenient. I don’t have enough time to share all of the problems but one example is the food ordering. We order. We select a pick up time from what’s offered. We indicate “we’re here” and then the food is ready 50 minutes later and THEN there’s a line 15 people deep to pick up the food. Meanwhile, people can walk up and order and get their food in less than half the time! This is ridiculous. Your customers are beyond frustrated and your employees are frustrated too. The approx wait times posted for rides are waaayyyyy inaccurate—as in off by up to 100%. You cannot plan your day any longer using lightning lane. The “old” way to book fast passes (for free) you could book 3 at a time 60 days in advance. Now you pay $16 a person for the privilege of getting up at 7 am in the day of and scrambling for 1 ride at a random time? It is just not a workable—and not an improved system. We’re long time frequent Disney guests. This is a major disappointment. We have no problem paying for convenience and service but the prices have gone way up and the service has gone way down! We also understand that covid has caused issues with staffing but you’d think that would mean your overhead has gone down…so profits are way up for your stockholders but it’s at the expense of the customer and the experience. Walt Disney would be embarrassed.

Lightning Lane Reservations Horrible for Big Groups. I was in a group of six and we had the worst time booking lightning lanes. Because we didn’t book our tickets under one account, we’d have to compare times to see if they were in sync. Sometimes I would book one thing and the time slot would change when I booked it. I miss the times of being able to generate groups to book under one phone. My other frustration is finding the capabilities to book lightning lanes. We’d either have to use the genie plus feature (which sometimes not all the rides showed up there) or search up the ride on the map (which also sometimes didn’t populate all rides). I’d rather just have one designated page to book things rather than have Genie plan my day for me. I also tried the mobile checkout for World of Disney and it said I could find the receipt in the app and I couldn’t. Otherwise this app app does a great job with online ordering at food stalls, filtering, and navigating people. Love how they added the directions, but I don’t like how you can’t zoom out of the map while you’re looking at directions.

Worse Than it Used to Be. They did a major overhaul of how the app looks and navigates a while back and made it completely confusing in the process. I had little to no trouble before the update and now it takes longer to do anything because it's so difficult to find/do what you're looking for. And I'm a local/frequent user of the app! I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to visitors. It works and all, but only gets a passing rating from me. I'd rather use the full website when possible. It's much easier and has options I use that aren't integrated on the app. Is there no way to view menus unless you've got a reservation available? That's annoying! What if I just want to view the menu regardless of whether there's a table available? I can't find that feature. It's on the website! The app also lacks the favorites option from the MDX website which I utilize to prioritize restaurants I've never been to before. Should be on the app! Come on, people. Integrate features that already exist before you add new stuff. <_<

Information. There is little to no information when it comes to how to move around the parks. If your not in tune with your phone and are comfortable navigating through your phone for just about everything then you will struggle. There is little to no help with answers either. Just go to the app.! Is what you get. I was understanding that The bands are supposed to allow you to pay so you don’t have to carry any credit cards or money. Well that is simply not true. One place takes the band and the next one doesn’t. Very inconsistent and challenging as you are sitting out in the heat trying to load a credit card number all while ordering your food and someone leaning over you telling you to continue to social distance and where a masks. Overall crowds were light and made moving through the park much easier. Lines were much shorter and for the most part moved pretty fast. It’s been years since O have been here and it is no longer the happiest place on earth. There not rude, but they are not out of the way friendly.

Wait times and rides closed. Specifically came to Disney for the Star Wars ride and while on a 3 hour wait time, ride was closed down with no way of saving our place. Why can’t they give people some sort beep on their phone to tell them to come back in the ride when it reopens? I spent more time waiting on lines then anything else. One line told me 100 minutes only to find out after waiting g for an hour, the 100 minutes started at a different location. Paid for the Disney lightening fast pass thing, only to find out I wasted $95 because some of the rides don’t take it and you can only make a reservation once every 2 hours. Spent a ton of money and got to go on one or two secondary rides. Not right. Disney you gotta do better than this for your customers. There has to be a better way to do this. Perhaps limit the amount of people so there won’t be these crazy wait times. Or how about allow someone to reserve a time slot months in advance for your most popular rides. People base their one and only vacations on going to the park and shouldn’t leave dissatisfied.

Terrible experiences. This has been the most disappointing trip to Disney World I have ever had. First off, the lack of merchandise for your 50th and Christmas is ridiculous! My kids wanted to have fun purchasing the cool attire and Christmas pins and ornaments but they are no where to be found. We were told to order them on shop Disney . I should be able to get stuff during my vacation not online. I could have skipped the vacation then. Then the rudeness of some of the employees is awful!!! Hollywood studios is the worst. My kids got on the rise of the resistance line and I was a little behind due to a disability. When I went to join them in line the guy told me the ride is down and they are not letting anyone in . When I explained the situation he was so rude and told me I couldn’t go in anyway. Even when they sent a picture that they were in line. I finally hunted down a manager and was able to get to my kids!! The wake up calls haven’t happened so I missed early park entry and the front desk was not nice about that either. The Disney experience app clinched and I didn’t get my dining reservation ahhhh and this is only day 6 out of 15 .

Old app was better. We went to Disney World about 3 years ago and it was much better!! The app was much more user friendly and things were easier to navigate. Now there is very little entertainment at the park other than rides. a lot of those have malfunction issues while we were in line and on the rides. At least 6rides I can think of stopped while we were in the middle and had malfunctioned. We were only the for four days and the last day we did go to a major park, we went to the water park! Some of the rides are so outdated and old, plus there are a lot of Disney movies that are not featured. Where is Lion King? Still nothing with Frozen II. Tangeled got bathrooms and stroller parking. Why is there still Tomorrowland?? Sooo outdated. My hubby fell asleep! Big Hero 6? Non-existent. So very disappointed in our second visit. Nothing changed and and way less entertaining. I realize there was COVID, but way too late on loosening restrictions. Everyone in lines was pulling down masks because no one cared anymore. My youngest is 10. I might be back in 15 years when I have grandchildren. MAYBE!

Unable to use unused ticket days. Our son was sick on our last Disney trip about 6 months ago so we were only able to use 2 days of a 3 day pass for myself and my daughter and 1 day of a 3 day pass for my husband. Since the tickets had originally shown that they expired more than a year out I thought unused tickets were ticket days where we had not entered the park at all that day. Thinking we technically had 4 days left combined, we decided to head home with sick child and return another time in the year. Now that we are able to visit again (6 months later) I checked into app to find the tickets are expired. I’m super upset because of the situation with my son being sick and that it’s not like I’m trying to get something I did not pay for out of this. Just very upset because it was hard to be at the park while he was sick and now it’s upsetting to realize we made a quick decision to leave and lost unused value.

Disney world resort information. The wait times for help was more than an hour. The website wouldn’t except my tickets for linking so I couldn't make a reservation. So I felt I spent over 1200 dollars for nothing. The chat said too many people they could not respond & or help No technical support at all. Was told I have non refundable tickets that have to be used before December which is impossible at this point. I should have been able to link tickets with ease instead there are issues that now have prevented me from going to MAGIC KINGDOM WHICH IS THE MAIN DISNEY PARK I was taking my son to for his Birthday. I should have been able to manually Input ticket info without issue or errors. I am saddened n extremely disappointed. I’m a single mom & it took 2 years to save this money along with every dime of my income taxes to give him n us a special trip. Now hour by hour day by day not able to link so I can’t reserve n park reservations are filling fast & now I can’t go to main park. Extremely Disappointed.I wonder at this point if I’m going to be able to go to any park reserving weeks ahead of time. Sad sad 😢

App. People, like myself, who are not familiar with Disney World, the app is hard to navigate through. Ex: when I look up a ride or restaurant somewhat suggests all it gives me is info about it, without the option to book a reservation. It’s confusing to then have to go to another place on the app to add a reservation that makes u put a time and then gives u a list of all restaurants that are available. Sometimes the one you are looking for is on the list sometimes it’s not. There should be a way to search for something and then click on add a reservation and show you the time slot available for the day you are choosing. It would be more than awesome if there was an itinerary of your day to day with available times that u have open to book more things. The constant going back n forth to book reservations and do fast passes is confusing and annoying. Some features are nice like being able to check in and set up your pick up and drop to the airport. In all it’s a decent starter set up for an app, but definitely needs some tweaking and updating.

Literal Insanity, Genie+ Is Awful. This app is awful. The new Genie+ system is horrible. First of all, the app has SO many glitches. For example, sometimes if another member in my party books something it says I did. Sometimes things don’t show up on your home page, or don’t show up in your “My Day” section. Genie+, sometimes you book something and it changes the time it says you booked it for. And then it’s no longer a convenient time for you and you have to rework your schedule. I understand it gives you the earliest time available, so if someone cancels it changes, but it should let you choose from the available times. Speaking of canceling, neither I nor the other member in my party even have the option to cancel bookings. We talked to a staff member, they said it should be under “Manage Details” but we don’t have any options under that. Overall, the app is glitchy and needs MAJOR bug fixing. Side note, whenever you click “Tip Board” in the Genie+ section, it defaults to Magic Kingdom which is super annoying if you’re trying to book for another park. It should default to the park you’re visiting that day. Please fix this horrible app!!

Not What it Use to Be…. Seems Disney has strayed from its “roots”. It’s been a number of years since we have visited and definitely seen the decline in quality of Cast Members, condition of the theme parks and ease of “use.” Cast member grooming seems to have lost its bearings. We saw a little bit of everything. Even costumes in some areas looked worn and not consistently cleaned/ironed. We often encountered indifferent employees. The younger tended to hang in groups. Gone was assertively friendly. I started to take photos of worn attractions. Areas where attractions were long past paint and repair… particularly in animal kingdom in Dino land. I gave up on the photo piece - too many to post. While I appreciate the need to remain technically savvy… it sadden me we can no longer be spontaneous to visit a park. It’s all so controlled now all in the name of enhancing the guest experience, however, both parks we visited - AK and MK, were uncomfortably packed. I thought this new system controlled access to maintain a quality guest experience? And personally… I do not enjoy relying on the phone so much to facilitate my vacation. That’s why I take vacation to get away from my phone. Finally, when booking our FW camp stay… wish someone would have told us - and we did speak with reservations - there was a marathon starting in the dark of night. We woke at 4am to music and an announcer. So disappointing when you pay and plan to camp in the quiet.

Dr. Ameen. As a consumer that eats, sleeps, and breathes Disney, they continue to fail my needs when it comes to this particular application. Once upon a time, I would have given this app a much higher rating, but as the changes keep flooding in, the ease and reliability of this app continues to descend. As an example, I am a Florida resident that always visits the park, yet every time I’ve wanted to make any kind of dining reservation or modification over the past year, it would result in a phone call to the company because the app simply would never process my requests. On another note, I am also a Human Factors Psychologist and I constantly experience excessive flaws in the user experience. There is an abundance of tasks and information that can be found on this app, but it takes an army to book a simple FastPass. Finally, and this may be an issue unrelated to the application, their Disability Access Service has been very unreliable lately. Return times constantly vanish from the app and Cast Members continually send me back to Guest Relations to solve an unsolvable problem. DAS integration into the app is a must and and is extremely simple (trust me, I’ve made a prototype, and it’s not hard).

Would love a fastpass notification option!. Overall the app is really useful. And I rather have it than not. So I'm glad it exists, considering what it was like back in the day. With that said, it'd be awesome if the app gave you notifications when fastpasses were about to start (maybe a "your fastpass starts in one hour" with the time for the fastpass also provided), so that way you don't have to open up the app and go through several screens just to check real quick. Even have a setting when you can toggle how often you want the reminder (1 hr, 3 hr, no notif, etc.) Disney started doing the notifications for photopass which is all well and good. But please do fastpass. That'd be so much more useful. Also an idea: have a setting to change the order for how rides are listed in the wait time screen (alphabetically, maybe favorites first, even a separate tab to look just at favorites alone or something?) Something to organize through all the results that show up, even the ones you don't care about.

Making reservations is not easy with an annual pass. I bought my husband annual passes for Christmas in December 2019 because we enjoy the Epcot festivals and concerts. We were able to use them twice before COVID. Disney extended our passes to May 11. Since we’ll both be fully vaccinated by mid April, we decided to try again in May. I have spent three hours trying to make a reservation and link our annual passes, which should already reflect as linked. Forget using a computer website. The app has worked only once for reservations. Now it states our passes are linked to another account. We had two phones trying to reach a representative for help. After 45 minutes on hold, we gave up. We may decide to not renew our passes as any assistance requires giving up an entire day or evening with no resolution to our issue. I don’t know if Disney World is short staffed. But they are not ready for the public to return.

New app revision USELESS!. Have been unable to get anything accomplished with my Disney experience iOS app. Not at home in Lakeland, not actually inside Epcot on the 8th of October nor since. It occasionally allows me to look at available reservations for dining, offers me a choice of times and then when clicked, the “working” circle just circles. I tried the passholder phone line and gave up after being on hold for 45 minutes and ZERO information about hold times. Just kept trying to get me to purchase non passholder events. I gave up. Finally got a dinner reservation (which is not what I wanted!) on my laptop. That also took forever. Today I tried again via the app to find a lunch time to modify the previous reservation. It again offered me 2pm until I hit the select button. And nothing happened. I ended up calling the passholder line again and with the help of a great cm, were unable to find anything between 12-2pm. So she made us 2 separate reservations. I get that it was a work around, but I am disgusted with the new version of your Disney experience. Will not use it again. There are pages of complaints on the various Disney forums, so I’m not the only one. FYI, I’ve rebooted, deleted and reloaded this app. Garbage.

Worst App Ever. Lots of good ideas, poor implementation. Honestly, I don’t think the human interface could be any worse if they tried. And it couldn’t be any slower. There are other apps available with much better human interfaces. The other apps don’t “automatically” keep track of your reservations, but this app is so unreliable that carving your reservations into a stone tablet is a better option. It’s obvious that too much time and effort has gone into making the app pretty than making it useful and reliable. Really Disney, stop putting so much emphasis on creativity, and put some more into utility. Take a look at the “Magic Guide” app to see what a good human interface might look like. This is a re-review. It’s hard to believe, but they found more ways to make the app worthless. At least 50% of the time I get a not working now try again later message. Come on Disney let the 5th grade Russian kids go, and hire some software engineers!

Good concept. Poor application. Still a Must Have app.. This app is not “show time ready”. A surprise for Disney. App constantly crashes, has long load times, and login issues. Trying to manage a group requires you to be tech savvy enough to navigate the poor layout and understand the many odd nuances. That being said, it is a “must have” app for handling fast passes. Heading in the right direction: 1. Ability to preorder food - Great feature. However, we had a tough time finding an order that was created and paid for so we could mark it as “we are here..make the food”. Again the app layout needs some work. 2. Fast Passes - when attempting to change a fast pass, sometimes it would only pull up one individual, and other times the whole group. Also saw a glitch where when one of our kids only scanned their fast pass at the front gate and not at the end gate, the app returned an error that prevented us from modifying and other guests who were not able to use that fast pass.

A Formerly Great App is Now Worthless. Since the most recent update, the MDE app had become worthless. It won’t open. The little circle just keeps turning and nothing happens. We are in WDW right now and I went to check my fast pass times because I wasn’t sure. Should be simple. Nope. I was on Disney’s WiFi. When it wouldn’t open after 2 minutes, I switched to LTE. Still nothing. Sometimes — rarely — it will open and I can check something, but that’s the exception. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Twice. Same problem. I logged into the website on my iPhone browser (Safari) and about half the time it will load and then switch me to the app. The other half, the little circle turns and turns. Luckily I printed all the plans before we left and I kept a PDF file of them on my phone in iBooks and am checking that now and forgetting about the app. Of course, that doesn’t help if I need to rebook a dinner or a fast pass. Today it took me 25 minutes to rebook a fast pass before we left for the parks. PLEASE FIX THE APP. OH, I forgot. The app on my iPad won’t open at all now — not even that 5% of the time. All I see is the blue WDW screen for a minute and then it crashes.

Needs some improvements.. We have just finished our latest trip to Walt Disney world, and as always we did have fun and the people we amazing. But when it came to the app I found that it didn’t work as well as it did when I was home. I would try to use the bus times portion and it would say “link to reservation.” Which I have had linked since we got the confirmation number. Once I did get it to work I was confused about the estimated times. I had checked it at Disney spring and I wasn’t sure if it meant when it would arrive to me or at the resort. I would try to use it in parks for wait times and it seemed to lag a little, I am sure the park WiFi did have a bit to do with it as well. One thing my family wished it did cover was checking what you have left on the meal plans. Otherwise I do enjoy the app, it has made our trip less stressful since the app was launched, and we can’t wait to start planning our next trip!

Needs more development. This app has been a struggle. I have been making the plans for my husband and I, my parents, and my grandmother; since the tickets are linked to my phone, I have been unable to share plans through the app with the other members of my party. We have purchased Genie+ a few of the days, but since you can only book a lightening pass for one ride at a time, and can’t book another until you have already completed the first, the maximum number of lightning passes we have been able to book in a day is two. When purchasing this option you can see which rides are eligible, but not what time slot you can get until after the purchase has been made. This means that I purchased the Genie+ option at 9:00am, and the first time slot we could get for our ride is 4:45. The wait time feature is great, you can pull up the map and see what the wait times are near you, which is updated regularly. It would also be nice if tapping on a restaurant on the map would bring up information about the restaurant. Information is available about restaurants, but must be pulled up in a separate location on the app. I have had to spend an inordinate amount of time each day trying to book lightening passes, meals, virtual ques, etc. There is no way that two of our party would be able to use the app in any meaningful way. The app is on the right path, but needs further development.

How can it be this bad!? Only gets worse.. It is shocking how a company the size of Disney can knowingly have such a terrible piece of technology and be okay with it. 4 years ago we went to Disney and everyone...EVERYONE...employed by Disney hung their heads in shame when the app was even mentioned. If I had a dollar for every time I heard a “cast member” apologize for the performance of the app...my trip would have been only moderate overpriced instead of insanely overpriced - which Disney is (and continues to raise fees, ticket prices, accommodations, etc. yearly). Fast forward 4 years and somehow the app is even worse. We’ve been trying to link our reservations for 8 months! Forget calling because the wait is over 90 mins and you’ll just get the runaround and get transferred and wait another hour and a half only to get transferred back again. Customer service is so bad I don’t know if I should cry or laugh. Needless to say, this is our last trip to Disney without question and that’s o it because we have no refundable flights. This app should be pulled until they can completely scrap it and start over. If Walt saw what was happening in his parks and what people had to spend, he would roll over in his grave.

Family Fun has become a tech nightmare. Having been to Disney over 50 times in my lifetime, it became for my family, part of our fiber. The technology has taken over. If you have anything to do in life other than stare into your phone and start tapping before the sun is up, it is impossible to get reservations for the better rides or restaurants. Between Disney’s over reliance on technology to manage their guest flow and all of the, so-called self appointed Disney “travel agents” grabbing things up like a bunch of slimy ticket scalpers who rudely just ‘hold’ spots for their “clients”, the entire experience has been ruined. It’s just not worth it anymore. This app works OK. But I am frankly tired of getting up extra early just to find that one dining or ride reservation to no avail. When in the park it’s no longer an immersive experience because the whole family has to spend our time with our faces buried in our mobile devices to make sure we don’t miss something, instead of enjoying all that Disney used to represent. I don’t think there’s any turning back unfortunately.

Horrible trip YET AGAIN. This is our second year in a row going to Disney. We’ve been several times and our last trip a year ago was absolutely HORRIBLE. We went to universal in the same trip and had an amazing time there, I wish we had spent all 5 days there instead. This year, we decided to come back again and do ONE Disney park (our favorite, Hollywood studios) and the rest universal and seaworld since we had a much better time there last time. We are at Hollywood studios today and it has been again, absolutely horrible. We waited 2 hours for a ride to shut down right before boarding only for them to give us one fast pass ticket and of course, you can’t use it on any rides that are “popular”. The lines here are atrocious, the staff is unhelpful, and you can spend all day in the park and only go on 3-4 rides due to the wait time. We will NOT be returning anytime in the future we will just spend our money at parks that know how to cater to their customers wants and needs like universal does so eloquently. So glad we only wasted one day at this awful park this year. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Tickets/Reservations. I’m extremely frustrated. I booked 5 tickets and 5 reservations for my husband, myself and three young children to come experience Disney for the first time (we live in Texas). Unexpectedly, my husband had a business trip come up so I asked if my mom would be able to take his place to help wrangle the kids. I reassigned my husbands ticket to her name and assumed that the reservation that was assigned to my husband would also transfer…I was unable to find any mention of having to get a new reservation when reassigning a ticket. We just got here today and I was looking at the genie + options we bought and it caught my attention that now only myself and my children have reservations!!! They were not able to help me in the chat and told me I needed to go to customer relations in the morning but there isn’t any guarantee that the situation will be rectified. I will be happy to change my review if it is, but am currently bummed at how difficult and confusing this has all been. I’m also at a total loss of how I will manage all three kids by myself wanting to run in opposite directions.

Poorly thought out for Mobile food order and gift card use. This app creates more unnecessary work every time you try to do a mobile food order. They allow you to add a credit card, but if you try to do a Disney Gift card, you have to enter the card information for EVERY PURCHASE. They do not allow you to enter and save the gift card information. So, while you are standing in a crowd somewhere fumbling to try and place a mobile food order, you also need to have a second set of hands and a magnifying glass to read the numbers on the gift card, EACH AND EVERY TIME, and then if you make one little mistake, you have to start all over again. It is also a pain if you try to do your entire vacation off of the gift card to be forced to manually enter all of the same information over and over again, for each food order. NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. The solution is to walk up to the register and tell them your app is not working, and they will have to manually enter your food order, and then hand them the gift card to scan for payment. Don’t let them inconvenience you,… it’s their issue, inconvenience their staff until they fix the problem.

Arrangements. Making my arrangements on line is a little difficult for me and my wife. We are not that savvy with the computer. I was very happy dealing with people and now it’s such a pain. If it wasn’t for your phone staff helping me I would not be able to get anything done. I hope I got everything correct, because I don’t want to lose my money. I am mad about the magic buses you should have kept them for the DVC membership people. This was very important to me and my wife. Everything is now done on line and I don’t know if we will be able to eat, and I still have to figure it out. I have been on mine and my wife’s phone for the past 4 days working on getting things done. I’m sick and tired of all the stuff that I had to do. Before I spoke to one or two people and they got it done for me. I know that Covid changed everything but really stop pushing the on line stuff and help people. Thanks John P S 3 people were great Lee, Jasmine, and Jason
