This mobile app is crippling OC’s potential. Seriously. I’m looking for a new solution for my cloud storage backend, actively seeking alternatives. I have used OwnCloud and this app for a long time now and the app has barely evolved at all... I need a basic editor, not much but slightly better than the current bare-bones dialog box you can type in now. That’s just pathetic. Calling that an editor is a stretch anyways, because I can’t even see how to take existing files and edit them, only new text files. What a joke. I love OC on my server and desktop machines, but this iOS app is a joke, and it’s sad really because they should realize these days that mobile is more important and deserving of a real app if they want anyone to take OC seriously! This ship is going down unless they hire some real iOS programmers ASAP!

Almost Works. This app works great on my iPad, but it just crashes on my phone. I had previously written a review about this issue, which can be seen below. [Old review] Crashes when any URL is entered, unless you force it to use HTTP, in which case it "logs in" and lists no files. It also doesn't save login information (which wouldn't help anyway since it doesn't list any files).

So close. Was going to use this as my main cloud solution but the app has one fatal flaw. You must enable location services in order for auto upload to work. Other apps (Google photos, one drive, etc) allow this feature without using location services (just you have to open the app since obviously without the service the app doesn't know when you have moved). The lack of this is odd, because now I have to manually upload which is a bummer. If this feature was added I would definitely use this and change my review to a much more positive one.

Great app. You need to have your ownCloud server setup before using this app, which is requires some sysadmin knowledge. I've had no issues using this app and love that I can control my own data. It could use a bit of polish, but it works really well as is. I really like that I can save files for offline use.

Save your money unless you have a SSL cert on your server. Google for yourself to see this app is not working for many with OwnCloud 7. Browser on my phone connects to the OwnCloud server just fine but this app always says server not found. Desktop clients also working great as is connection with WebDAV. Probably wasted $100 of time on this crappy app. Also be warned there is no support. Support link goes to a community support open sources forum. My expectation is if you charge money I don't get open source figure it out on your own support. If I have to support myself then don't ask me to pay for the app. Pretty sad when a commercial company takes your money then try's to play like its open sourced. Shame on you OwnCloud

Uploading photos problem. No way to select all photos to upload. I have to select one at a time manually.

Same problem sync photos and 2 factor problems. Purchased this app to sync photos from my iPhone to my ownCloud but they just don't sync. Also enabled the Duo two-factor application and now the app can't even log in to the server. Edit: Added a 4th star, the developer cleared up that it would require using an application password with two-factor and it worked perfect. I'll continue to mess with the photo sync, but nothing so far. I'd dev is interested in any testing, let me know. -Jeff

Excellent, but missing a key feature. I’ve been using the app for a few days now. The service and the app work really well, and I can see this being an excellent substitute for dropbox. My only request is to allow automatic uploads of photos/videos. My reason for setting up my own cloud-sync storage solution was to have more storage at a much cheaper price than Dropbox. It seems like a natural fit to add the automatic upload feature to OwnCloud.

App connects but only sporadically uploads. There are very problematic issues with this app. The app will open, connect to my server, and allow me to view files from my server but that is about all that it will do so far. Recent updates allow for automatic uploading of photos and movies, but it works only sporadically. The app allows for forced uploading of selected photos but will not, no matter what I've tried, show more and a few of the most recently captured photos or videos. I have 100 pics on my phone and ownloud will only see three right now. This app would be fantastic if it would just work. So far I cannot drop my sugarsync account because I cannot rely on owncloud to do its job correctly or at all.

Needs improvements.. I use this to connect to my raspberry pi cloud storage. On the PC it works really fast with my network. But this app is SUPER slow to upload. Also it'd be nice of we could select multiple files to move into another folder instead of doing one file at a time. Please improve the performance of this app. I left drop box for this and I really want this to work!

Nice Start. This app is a good proof of concept that seems to lay a solid groundwork for future enhancements and features. Hope those features come soon! I would be happy to pay more for an app that would download whole folders and keep then in sync with the server, and like the andriod version an automatic photo upload. Will continue to support ownCloud!

Great for private cloud. Works great with a standard ubuntu system running apache2 and ssl and owncloud server version 5.0. I use it for accessing our archive of scanned documents, and the built in PDF viewer is very handy for that. Own star deducted because the button to remove a document from just the device is the same as for permanently removing it, which is usually not what I want. I'd give it five stars if removing the locally cached version was trivially simple but removing from the cloud a little harder.

Great Potential. The app itself is ok. It keeps signing me off after some time. It's kinda bothersome as I really want it for the Instant Upload feature so I don't have to manually upload pictures. The app has a great deal of potential to finally get me off Dropbox, but the issues still stand. It will also crash when viewing pictures back to back after a few.

It's alright.. It connects fine, and saves your user/pass and domain, even has the option to protect the app with a pin. Some requests: 1. add a media player; if I'm using this app to connect to my account that has music, I probably want to listen to it. A dedicated tab for music would be cool, but just having the ability to listen in the app would be fine. 2. a better photo viewer; I can view my photos on my account, but they're set to stretch to my screen res, I can't zoom or anything. 3. Polish it up a bit better. The online version looks amazing, the app not so much. Some problems: 1. .txt files crash the app when loading I haven't used the app enough to have any others..

Login is broken. Keeps saying user/password incorrect

Total garbage. I can connect to my owncloud from safari on ios but this app keeps telling me “not found” when i use the app. Total garbage. I am asking for a refund. Stay away and save a $1.

Missing lots of features. Aside from being an online data store (like Dropbox), ownCloud itself has a lot if other abilities and features not present or represented in this app. For instance, it's Instapaper-like bookmarks and it's RSS newsreader. Even something as seemingly simple as it's Notes section is missing. I would very much like to see all these, and more, in the iOS app. That would make this app extremely more useful.

I find it very limited and narrowed use. At the very basic level, I have problems with this app when changing connections. I have to delete the app every time because it hangs up on the connections. Also, there isn't a straight forward logout. I have several accounts and it isn't easy to logout as one user and login as another. If those two things were improved I think it would rate 4 stars.

Great Product. Love your product and have enjoyed sharing files. Are you able to add a search feature when you create a public link or have an entire ownCloud as public?

Bye Dropbox. I finally set up my owncloud server last night. Honestly there is no need for any other 3rd party Dropbox-like service. I have much more security over MY files with no space limitations. The only issue I have at this moment is the ios app doesn't even see my mkv's. The folders show they are empty.

Can't Connect to the Server :-(. I'm another Owncloud fan who cannot use this to connect. I've tried what it says in the Personal settings help in the app but it keeps giving me error messages, like the others have said. However, I can easily connect via two free Webdav clients, Over theAir and WebDav Nav. They work great, so nothing is lost. Owncloud looks very promising and I'm confident that this client will come around. If anyone knows the magic that can make this work, please post. I will re-rate once I can try it out.

Works great!. I'm very surprised to see such negative reviews. I've really enjoyed using this app and I haven't had a single problem. There are some more features and improvements I'd like to see, but this app has been totally stable and integrates with my ownCloud server without issue. I hope that the developers aren't put off by the negative reviews and can see that there are some very happy users out there. This has been a perfectly fine app, and it can still be improved, but it's working great for me

Excellent app, works with no problems.. ownCloud is great and it works very well. It works as you would expect it to and I haven't run into a hitch yet. It even has the added benefit of being an active photo cloud storage. If you enable InstantPhotos in the app, whenever you take a photo on your device it will automatically upload it to your ownCloud server! That was an unexpected and very much appreciated feature.

Have to address another reviewer. First I will agree, when compared to Google Drive it does lack features. I would also love native support for notes. Another reviewer had a list of issues and most of them can be addressed. -there is an open in feature so you can indeed upload anything you want. -you can move, delete, and rename files. Simply do a long press on the file and the options show up. -the upload failing issue is because they use a different method to upload from the app as compared to uploading via the web. Do a web search for ownCloud ios upload fail and you will see what you need to do to fix it on your ownCloud server. Just wanted to chime in with some corrections. I like ownCloud and hope they develop this app further.

I mean it's cool but really buggy. App crashes for no reason multiple times within 5 min, no clear UI for what is happening to the user - guys please update your app and get a good PO in there that can map out a good user experience together with a design team: you could be the sole answer for people wanting their own cloud. It's just too techy to use for the main market, as in, my girlfriend or mom would never want to use this over google drive for example. Please update!!

Not fully baked. 1. I can’t upload anything, but can browse just fine. The UI is horrible. You have to switch over to the “Uploads” tab to see file(s) uploading. It just says “Waiting for server connection.” I’ve yet to see anything uploaded, however I can use my WebDAV client and it uploads content just fine. 2. I like that the app supports the iOS Share Sheet, however it isn’t fully baked either. After you use iOS’ share sheet, it tells you that you have to go open the app to actually upload it. I get that, because I know you have to select a folder. But then it does the same thing as #1 and just sits there. It never uploads. Hopefully this recommended app for ownCloud can be improved. As it stands, I have to upload via another means (such as an iOS WebDAV client) and then return to this app to get a public share link. It’s a half baked and frustrating multi-step process. Until it’s head is on straight, they shouldn’t be charging any money for it. I feel a bit robbed...

Wau! Super fast compared to Nextcloud. Syncing via NextCloud app is very glitchy and slow. I installed OwnCloud and it is way more fast. I wished OwnCloud server was a bit better supported, I would switch from NextCloud. As NextCloud server is kind of slow too. But it has all I need now with all its plugins and community support.

Encouraging App. Set up OwnCloud locally for my family and am liking it so far. The feature set is pretty basic and documentation is quite basic but once things are up and running everything works smoothly. If they continue to refine the app and server end it will continue to move into my family iCloud replacement territory. I would ask for improvement consideration around the family sharing experience and photo library management.

No problems, good to have. I could just use transmit or another WebDAV client, but this is way more convenient. Worth it! Works great for me and all of my Owncloud users. I suppose most people haven't setup their server correctly or updated it in ages? Perhaps they could help out by submitting a bug report on the GitHub issue queue?

App is Perfect. Once you download something from the app. It stays on your phone memory and then you have the option to delete it from the phone or from both the phone and server. The app is fast and very responsive when navigating.

It. Sorry guys who developed this app but it is useless! It needs a lot more work. I have about10gb of files on my server and this app can't even keep track of last edited files. It usually replaces document with sync error or keeps saying "new version" available but never opens the document or music file. I think that if you releasing something in to production you should do extending testing before it goes public. I think your main process of how you sync files are broken. Keep working and you may want to check out how Google drive handles that and get some ideas. Also, desktop client has problems as well.

Not so obvious errors. I just installed a fresh server release on Ubuntu and threw it behind my nginx reverse proxy. It is possible to make it work, but nginx and possibly PHP need to have max upload sizes tweaked. Nginx does for sure. Second is that you MUST have the application available under the /owncloud URI path. If either of these are wrong, this app will not tell you what to do. You have to see the 413 HTTP status codes in your log. You have to try the app out in a browser in debug mode to see that hard coded dependencies cannot be found. Finally, I knocked this app way down because I primarily want to upload and explore my pictures, but uploading in iOS doesn't provide meaningful names and it won't show you the Pictures app for slideshow mode; an obvious use case. Was glad to pay $1 to support the cause though. Keep chugging folks. This tool is close to being a match for more popular cloud file system boxes.

Exactly what I needed.. The entire ownCloud solution has blown me away. I had spent some time working on my own solution for keeping my *nix environments in sync when I stumbled upon ownCloud by proxy of csync2. The full ownCloud solution couldn't have been packaged any better. I play around with a lot of open source solutions and yours is the first I have come across that offers the installation from a yum repository(or at least informs you.) Very slick and convenient. Great job!

iOS 8. Some of my class mates and I have recently installed the update iOS 8. When trying to send a pdf file into Owncloud, it will send but it will say 0bytes and you then I opened it and was a grey screen. When my teacher tries to open it, it said file cannot open, has been damaged or removed.

Works, but missing key features. I've been looking for a solid personal cloud server I could run on my home server, and so far I've tried Tonido and ownCloud. ownCloud's app is missing some key features, namely disabling automatic photo uploads on cellular data, and having the option to browse your photos with a larger thumbnail. The existing thumbnail is so tiny I can't see what the picture is.

Can’t upload files from the files app. Unable to open any files, shows 0 bytes when attempting to upload.

Nextcloud app better than ownCloud app. There is no auto upload functionality

A very crappy app for a nice service. I came across with this owncloud service using my Qnap, I thing is neat, I even stopped using OneDrive and Google Photos BUT, this app is a total piece of junk. Is unstable, huge lack of features (are you kidding me, there is not even "Select All" function!!!) at the point that I'm considering go back to OneDrive. I'm not a business, I was just looking for cloud solution that allows all of our Smartphones make pictures backup/sync to my home NAS but in the background without any user interaction, well, the app does that, but only does that. I'm not even going to mention how slow it performs, my whole network is running gigabit and the wireless radio at the maximum and this thing synchronizes probably 1 picture every 30 seconds, is ridiculous, and I setup the service using MySQL, not the crappy SQL lite they have from default. Bottom line, I will love to see a real app for this service, I will pay even more than a buck if really works and do the job right.

Buggy at Best. When the app works, it works great. Unfortunately it has two issues that keep it mostly useless: 1) it constantly asks for my credentials as though it is the first run of the app. It doesn't seem to "forget " my account, it just pretends to need setup. I can see the multiple accounts created. With multiple accounts of the same location it shows multiple instances of the same files. 2) the app stops uploading InstantUpload data randomly. It just seems to do it whenever it wants. Most of the time I realize the data hasn't synchronized and, upon opening the app, it begins synchronizing. Background data is allowed. I want this app to replace Dropbox. We aren't there yet.

Method not allowed. As of yet I have been unable to access owncloud through this app. I receive a PROPFIND method not allowed. Have not found any workarounds yet

Good start but needs some work. Auto upload is the feature I want the most. It works sometimes but not consistently. I have to keep killing the app and restarting to to kick off the upload. If auto upload doesn't work it is impossible to see what files you have already uploaded because the display is truncated. So then selecting all will work because it will throw errors when there is a conflict, but the errors are notifications that show up on the badge count and you have to swipe each one individually to dismiss. The photo browsing is also nowhere near what Dropbox and carousel offer. It works, but is really slow and doesn't seem to prefetch anything so you have to wait for each image to download. It would be nice to at least have a thumbnail generated to get a rough idea before clicking through to load it. Absolute basic functionality works and is effective, it just needs quite a bit of refinement.

What happened?. This app used to work just fine for me, but between then and the last few updates it has been less than useful. Start with the app refusing to persist my login details. Whenever the app is closed (whether manually or though eventually being terminated), I have to enter all my info again. Second, and I really don’t know why this is, but I have a problem on my iPad that I do not on my iPhone where I can see the directory list when I first establish a connection, but any subsequent taps on any folders just revert back to the main list. Other than that, this app does work as I expect it to for the most part. Unfortunately, these two items have caused it become almost unusable. Especially when trying to “Share” a file with the own cloud app as the login details aren’t remembered, it’s essentially impossible to add a file to my instance). Running version 8.0.2 on the server for what it’s worth. Side note: I am incredibly appreciative of the own cloud team and the work they put forth. Aside from this mobile app, my experiences have been absolutely tremendous on the desktop. Simply one of the best open source projects out there!

Works fine. This seems to work no problem for me. I'm on OwnCloud 7 and have a self signed certificate. Camera Upload would be a nice feature, but I currently use Plex for that. I use OwnCloud to manually upload my videos since Plex won't sync those. The other missing feature is the ability to send to OwnCloud from another app using the built in sharing. Instead, you have to open OwnCloud first and then click upload from in there.

My view.. Hands down owncloud is outstanding software, unfortunately the app for ios that integrates it has failed. Horribly. With MUCH trial I have had no luck getting the remote to connect on my local network or from and outside source. I sure hope they provide some documentation for troubleshooting or resolve the issue. All in all, the free software was better tenfold than the $1 app I bought, but with time it will become a valuable purchase.

Works great thank you. While I'd like access to other items such as contacts and calendar within this app, as others have mentioned, it's not a bother. I have setup carddav and caldav on my phone. Works like a charm. The app works as advertised and am really happy with this app and the ownCloud platform. Great work guys. -- Gabe

Correcting my previous review... I am giving this app 5 stars as it works perfectly. The issues I had connecting were due to an improperly configured install. I correct the config issues and all is working properly now. 👍.

🌟Awesome Cloud☁ Solution 🌟. This app works exactly as intended! I have no problem whatsoever syncing with my on cloud server! Files sync seamlessly. I have a iPhone 5 on OS 6.0.2 and iPad running on OS 6.0.1 Great job OwnCloud! ⚡Suggestion⚡ This app needs the ability to stream music. I recommend you update app with a media player.

NO FILE Synch. ALA Dropbox. I’m able to use the client to connect to my own cloud server and see files and upload etc. As far as I can tell there is no ability to synch your files. I realize that Apple has iCloud…however I don’t want to trust my important data to someone else. The functionality of this client is basic and the fact that I had to pay for it and it does not do what I need it to do is a minus.

No Search Functionality. After looking to get off google drive, I have transitioned all my file storage to OwnCloud. After being satisfied with the web interface, I decided to fork over the money for the app, assuming the stock features would be in the app as well. I was wrong Global, or even folder level search is missing. Upon finding the TestFlight version, I am finding the same It is extremely disappointing to see such a basic feature missing from this software, especially since it exists on the desktop interface. I am forced to use the mobile web interface, which is awfully claustrophobic to use.

Basic app but works well!. This implements basic file upload, file viewing, and mgmt capabilities. The app has never crashed, responsive, and uses gestures to manage files. No complaints from me. I would like to see offline sync capability rolled out for iOS someday. And for ease of use, would be cool to have it automatically setup cal and contact sync. It was easy enough to google how to do it manually. Great app, keep up the amazing work!

Ok...ish. Agree with Outbreak Monkey, the owncloud app needs to be added as an extension to other apps so you dont need to go back to the owncloud app. Also, it installs ok on iPad but on iPhone the installation hangs at 80% or so

Previews not working. Previews of documents not working anymore... Sharing to other apps not working either :-(

Great first release. Hooked up to my ownCloud server with no issues. Basic functionality is good (no bugs yet). A few more features and I'll drop Dropbox!

Very happy. I think the app is terrific, particularly given its low price, and the even lower server app price - free! I now happily run my own cloud via a cheap cPanel account. The mobile and desktop clients top it off nicely. It does need more work, which I'm sure will come (e.g. app as an extension and able to handle documents, plus user feedback during upload are a couple of good starting points). I note some folks have had trouble with auto upload and use of location services. I have not enabled that feature, but haven't noticed any other problems.

Not quite there. ownCloud is an amazing solution for people that want to use their own storage and want to have DropBox like functionality. The fact that there is an iOS app is good and helps me use my iPad Pro more and more as a replacement for my MacBook Pro. The app is straightforward and clean. It integrates well within the iOS system so most apps can use it to save files. And it supports document previews for many common document types. What the app is desperately missing, I state "desperately" because in the end it is a file browser app and as a file browser app it should allow for file sorting by date and type, and it should have a search function. So, not quite there. But when those features are added it will be a five star product.

Great!. Great app, does what Dropbox does but without exposing all your data to the U.S. Government 😀

More than happy. Able to access my ownCloud from anywhere.

Switch between account crash. App crash when switch between accounts

Never works. Constantly in maintenance mode

Modest Application with more potential. The application is enough to upload and download files. There are few functions missing like: - search capability. There is no search in the application which is really hard to find files on the go. It is a big pain point. - automatic upload of pictures from your devices.

Works Well. Used in test environment and works well, haven't tried it with a massive amount of files, but its all joy with my iPhone 4S (IOS7) and with the owncloud running over https and authenticating against Active Directory

Crashes when scrolling in files. I have my an ownCloud server set up to back up our photos off our phones but when scrolling through the files in my account, the app crashes. Pretty frustrating.

Gets stuck on getting connection. Can't even login to my server, as it just hangs on the login screen.

Poor functionality. This app is ok when you simply want to view documents in your ownCloud, however, the bugs emerge once you start to do more than that. When I create a folder I'm presented with the option to name the folder, but there's no keyboard, and no way to bring up a keyboard. When attempting to upload photos, I was requested to supply my phone's login pass code numerous times. Needs some polishing before it rivals the Dropbox app.

Ok. Instant uploads needs a over wifi only option

Buggy, needs work. Basic functionality is OK - downloading & uploading files is fine within the app. Unfortunately the UI is a bit dated, and the auto-upload feature is bugged. It requires location services to be on and uses your location constantly: even without uploading any files. Completely unnecessary & a nasty battery drain. Plenty of other similar apps with this feature don't need location services.

Obviously you need a cloud to sync to. ... But if you are running an instance of owncloud, it does exactly what you would expect. Upload/download, play media, view images, etc. seems pretty slick so far. Update: crashing on iOS 9.2.1 when I try to enter settings within the app...

Kinda broken. It detects the server but won't connect using valid usernames and passwords. Even know app doesn't work I'm happy to leave the 99 cents as a donation to developers for their server efforts.

Support non existent, don't bother.. I installed owncloud on my own server and had nothing but trouble with the iOS app. I could use other webdav apps with no problem but this app is hopeless. I contacted the support, they replied once and when I gave them all the evidence that the issue was with the horrible app, they never responded. I tried to get an update from them but they refuse to communicate with me. I now use nextcloud and it's a thousand times better. the app works better, looks better and the server is much nicer to use. it's a shame, I never leave negative reviews like this but if I had to pay for it and get zero support, I'm going to speak my mind. in short use nextcloud instead of owncloud, better software, better support, better app, better everything.

Pathetic. So till you decide to update what do I do in the meantime? - do not update to iOS 8.1 if you use this app!

its horrible. (Update 2017) It’s ok.. Needs much work.. Updated last 2017: After living with this subpar app for so long, I finally ditched it and went to the nextcloud competition. It’s much more smooth, consistent, reliable, sensible. There are no weird error messages, failed uploads for no apparent reason, credential errors that don’t make sense, hardcoded folders that I can see. PhotoSync seems to work and doesn’t just keep spraying error messages. Reading support forums the nextcloud guys seem to me to be more responsive to problems too. It’s sad because owncloud was a great idea and one of the first good DIY cloud products. Goodbye owncloud! —— Previous review early 2017: I've reduced my rating from 3 to 2. The development on this is pretty slow. Many feature requests seem to go nowhere. I have a home directory full of instant uploads. The app has rookie mistakes like hard coded paths for uploads. Regular credential errors but files still seem to transfer. The settings and admin are pretty non existent. I still encourage users to pay for the app to find more ownCloud develop. But considering this is the official app, it's really pretty average and reflects badly on the ownCloud server product. -- Previous review early 2016: It works, it syncs but it lacks much of the finesse required to make it useful. I purchased the app to help support the developers, but really, to be useful for me, it’s going to need more work. The logic of the user interface is a little backwards. You need to be in the ownCloud app to be able to do anything, as opposed to nearly every other ’sharing’ app which provide extensions that allow you to share from within other apps (e.g. Facebook, Flickr etc). Ideally, the app would enable sharing from within whatever document, or photo I happen to be working on. i.e. It should be possible to be in the built in “Photos” app and be able to click “share” from within that app. I would like to see “ownCloud” as a target for sharing. Support for many document types would also be great. URLs, Pages/Keynote/Numbers, Photos etc.. Downloading from ownCloud works fine. I look forward to seeing later more polished versions. Cheers! PS: I tried to leave feedback “in private” on your site, but I can’t progress past the “Enter a valid email address” so I had to do it here.

Looks good but crashes on iOS7. Can't use any features at the moment. Not even simply view an image. I hope it's fixed soon.

still broken. ok so it doesn’t crash, but now it asks to enter id/pw again because theyre expired, but i can’t enter user id(it doesn’t highlight). how bout just roll back to couple of updates ago?

Works fine. They must have fixed the issues because this app is working great. A little slow sometimes when loading files but overall great app.

Needs work. The app options are too limited and why is location tracking mandatory ?!

Gets the job done. I was cautious about buying this app before I noticed that all the very negative reviews are many years old. Decided to go for it and found that the app seems to be well polished and very functional. Haven’t used it extensively yet but if I run into any major problems I’ll update this review.

Meh. ..

Excellent. ownCloud for iOS is a very polished app. I love being able to host my own cloud data but still have the convenience of apps like this. Thank you!

No help, no support... Just don't waste your time asking for help, even if the problem is on their side, even if you have paid, you will have NONE! Zero star...

No search function. A step backwards compared to NextCloud with crucial features missing.

Excellent system!. Easy to deploy on the server end and the app integrates nicely. Well done. I will cancel my Dropbox account now.

User. The new version 2.02 of this APP is not working using specials characters in the password to meet the password complexity requirements (like the dot "." in the password). Please fix this because this APP is not usable if it cannot support complexe passowrds. The previous version of this APP was working great. Advise to all : Please do not update your APP with version 2.02 before this bug have been fixed. Regards.

Refund please. Not working at all, crashing right away!

Terrible. Does not work with lan servers. No option to connect to a local ip!! I want a refund.

Worst App Ever. This has to be one of the worst apps I've ever used. It started out bad and updates have made it useless. I cannot keep a file open for more than several seconds before it crashes the entire app. Broken, useless, hopeless. Should be a zero star review

Good APP but missing features!. App works fine. You can navigate to your files, loads fast and allows you to delete of local or local and server. Missing features: * You can't choose the quality of the picture if uploaded by phone. The app degrade the picture quality to almost null. At least a low, medium and high option. * You cannot open any word or excel files if they're password protected. (Free apps does it) * No pictures preview or little icon so you know what file you'r opening * Dose not support Touch ID if protected by password * it would be nice to have a 2 steps confirmation to delete of the server (I already deleted files of the server meant to clear local cash)

Useless apps. Pls don't pay to buy this apps. It doesn't work to upload any video from your iOS devices and this is simply cheating. They don't have any solutions about this problem

Yessssssssssss⭐️. Great for my class

Crashed In The First 30 Seconds. ...and now it won't open at all. Refund please!

Works great. This app works great for me but I would like to see more features and work done on it.

Impossible de le réinstaller. Bonjour J ai eu le même problème que kinuseel a qui vous avez dit de le supprimer et de réinstaller et maintenant il ne veut pas le réinstaller!

Update fixed self-signed cert. I love this project (must say I really hate the rest of the cloud pack), loads of potential. Thanks for the update, it now allows me to login to my home server with a self signed cert. I look forward to more features, would love a media stream, share from app, etc... 3 stars for current status of the project, no doubt it will be a five in due time.

Nicer UI but lacks features. Each release is a step in the right direction, but still missing features other apps have. No background uploading of photos? No auto upload of photos? Hopefully these will be added in time. Keep up the good work, ownCloud is a great program!

Good app. No issues here. Works as expected. If it has the ability to share (via link) within the app it would be a 5 star app. Maybe some day.

Works perfectly. Tons of bad reviews here, but all from years ago. Everything must have been fixed because I have had no problems at all. Great app.

Love this App!. I use ownCloud for my cloud storage and this app helps me control what I need on the go. Just a suggestion but a music player build in would be nice. Keep up the good work!

Awesome app. Thank you!. I like the app very much and use it daily. I am looking forward to more features (better thumbnails browsing pictures, "delete all cached data" button, etc..)

Works out of the box, but.... It worked great out of the box, then I learned there no way to select all pictures, had to choose them manually, over 1000. Once upload was done, a few hours later learned that only 200 were uploaded.

Not improving.. Credentials bug breaks InstantUpload hack, owncloud devs blame iOS. Upload failures don't attempt a retry, or offer a manual option, leaving you to guess whether or not you have a copy of your pictures on your server. Regardless of your Internet connection speed, or the performance of your server, the app will frequently fail to download a file.

Works well for my needs. No issues so far.. Has everything I was looking for. Selective downloads helps manage storage on the iPhone. TouchID enables security. Syncs fast. Well worth the cost for owncloud users.

Great support for this app!. With the recent release of ios6, there was a bug when signing in. Problem was addressed in less than 24 hrs, and the app was updated, and now works great again! Thanks!

Love OwnCloud. I needed to synchronize files between a home computer and a travel computer and wanted to do so across my NAS, without involving a third-party service. OwnCloud has been a great solution for me. Highly recommend.

Good but not great. I have installed and configured on the server side - no issues. I have the desktop client installed and working - no issues. However the iPhone app appears to need just a little attention. It needs the delete file/folder feature and to be able to rename these.

Not functioning well. I bought this app a while ago and I could not open a file with other apps. I thought the developers may fix it later, but they have never fixed it at all. The issue have been apparent for a while and there isn't reason why they fix it. This was a large disappointment for me.

I like it. I just deploy my owncloud server, and I got to say this app interacts directly with the server. It's just like Dropbox, only its running steroids lol I give 4 stars because I want to be able to administer settings on the server from this app. Overall it's fabulous!

Amazing. The whole own cloud system is amazing for it being free. I was more than happy to pay .99¢ for the app. Owncloud 9 has some improvements, and I'm excited to see more improvements coming up. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I love it!. It uploads/downloads files quickly, uses encryption during transfers, and most importantly it doesn't sniff your data, which after reading their ToS almost all cloud services do to some degree :/

Extremely buggy, needs work. The app doesn't do justice to the great ownCloud server. There are several serious bugs that leave a bad owncloud experience. 1. There are no image thumbnails 2. It can't handle large images. I have a 200mb file and owncloud app just can't download it to iPad. Had to install Dropbox to get the data. 3. The UI freezes between landscape and portrait mode.

Great app. I would like to suggest an improvement. I have 1000 photos on my phone. If I want to upload them to my cloud I have to click each one individually. Great work!!

read the WHOLE description!. This app requires an account (I think on ur computer) before you can have access to this app. BUT the app works and functions quite well.

Still works like it should be a free app.. I'm most disgruntled by it's lack of useful features that most file apps have such as selecting multiple files to move, delete or copy etc... Not to mention the spontaneous crash for almost anything you do in this app! This app should be free! There is better quality in the free knock off versions! Stay away!

Unreliable garbage. You will have to re-setup your account constantly just to find duplicates of your account after you login. Each time this happens instant upload is turned off. Because of this the app is worthless as it won't go back and send the pictures it missed when it self-disabled. Instant upload also requires location services to be on constantly.

Works but is not user friendly. It seems to work, however... Viewing photos is not intuitive. There are no thumbnails and it takes multiple clicks through different screens to download and then open the image link. Overall the UI is inconsistent with standardized iOS gestures and the user experience is pretty rough.

Simple but works fine. The app is simple yet works fine on my iPhone5. I have yet to have it crash. The app syncs with my server, and I can add and edit files. Please keep on expanding capabilities, but this entry app works well.

Uses too much storage. The APP tried to download and cache all the files I opened. But it seems that it never clear the cache. And there is no way to clear the cache manually either. It almost used up all my storage on my iPhone now.

Browser Works Better. Id say just using the a browser works better than this app. Browser gives you thumbnail while app does not among other things better with browser.

App need work. It's ok, it works but has too many limitations. 1) location service is always on chews up my battery. I don't know why it has to be always on. 2) upload automatic should have a option for wi-fi only 3) no thumbnail view for pictures. Get these items fixed and you will get a better review. I would not purchase the way it is now.

Cool and Needs More Integration. This cloud client does a good job of appearing in the Open In menus of many other apps, but is missing in some obvious places such as the Photos app and the MS Office apps. It just needs a bit more integration to feel complete.

Good concept in theory. This has things I don't love but could deal with (like manually selecting every photo I want to upload). But it freezes so often I can't even get all my photos uploaded, not even a small bunch at a time. Very frustrating after taking the time to build a cloud on the server.

Basically useless. App constantly loses login information. Once you have logged in to a server, you have to uninstall app to remove server. Auto upload fails with no useful information. Proper ports are open and Owncloud otherwise works perfectly, this app gets worse with each release.

Still work to be done. If the rating was for the functionality alone, i'd rate zero stars. I see no files or folders running 5.1.1 on my ipad. Even so, the help or feedback buttons don't work. However, i believe they work too hard to provide an alternative to iCloud. That alone is worth some stars.

Simple and elegant !. Gets the job done without any fuss.. Expecting support for auto upload of photos in the future ...

Hmm!. Not bad, needs more development. Would like it to save previous logins. Also ability to play music files would be nice. First time I logged on it auto corrected my user name and capitalized the first letter and still was able to logon but I couldn't see my existing file structure.

Good, but needs polish. Needs more view options for pictures. The miniature thumbnail view is useless for photo albums. Using background location to determine instant upload is a workaround to a larger issue the developers haven't sorted out. All in all, it's a great client and very reliable. It just needs polishing to take it beyond its open-source roots.

Was good. Tired of it dumping my server address. It used to auto upload photos any time you take them. Then you would have to open the app for it to auto upload. Now you have to open the app and manually select what to upload and some of those fail. Its gotten old

Crashes.... New to the app, fairly new to running an ownCloud server. Everything works great on the desktop, but ownCloud on iOS is unusable with this app. I have oC setup on a NAS at my location. Running 7.1.4. I have a folder with 16 JPEG & 16 raw photos. On my iPad mini 2 (iOS 8.3), running version 3.4.1 of the app, swiping through the pictures, the app crashed the first time on the 4th image, and the second time on the 2nd image. This is not the performance expected of even the most basic paid app. Luckily my phone still has iOS 6, so I could still download a prior version, 3.2.0. Not only does this work correctly on my phone, after manual installation, it works on the iPad too.

It works!!. Thank you for fixing this app - no more crashes! I still get the occasional "the server cannot be reached at this time" but I would gladly make that my ringtone as opposed to the constant crashing before. I love this app again!

Just a file browser. This is silly app and waste of money... owncloud folks should at least disclose in the description that this app does NOT automatically sync all or a selection of folders....with this app you can only browse the files in owncloud and select ONE BY ONE the files you want downloaded in your phone..USELESS.... There should be an option to select which folder can be automatically synced on the phone....waste of money

Good, needs more. Works well, but would like to see upload from photo album automatically start from the bottom (newest photos), and a way to sync all photos

AwesomeCloud. Why pay to give your pictures and private data to companies, like Google, who harvest you and sell you to other more invasive companies? Own your data with OwnCloud. I love it.

Nice App. I have setup owncloud on a VPS, have no problems connecting to it with this client app on both my iPad and iPhone. It gives you the option of connecting by http or https, suspect if anyone having problems they have not setup their web server properly for ssl. Recommend it over Dropbox, it is pretty cool. -Rory

Useless Now. I had this client for a few months and it worked no problems. Then the server was upgraded to 7. Now it won't even connect because the server does not have a registered ssl certificate. Now this client is useless. I'd save you money for now if I was you. Update 12 Dec 2014 This app still does not work. Looks like OC is not listening to the community. Unless OC is free DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY!

Application rarely works correctly. It’s a great idea; replace Dropbox or Google Drive with your own server and this app. The problem is that saving to the camera roll doesn’t work, sharing doesn’t work, and the app just plain freezes up constantly. Very frustrating.

Works very well.. Works very well. Can save files from other apps to my ownCloud using the "Open In".

A bit confused with the negative reviews. Running this with the OwnCloud Community Version 7.0.3 with no trouble. Also at 0.99 cents it was worth a shot.

A Good Start, But Rough Around The Edges. So far, I am liking the ownCloud app, but it's not a 5 star app yet. It is a great start, and does effectively connect you with your data on the ownCloud server. You can upload photos, the same way you do with other cloud storage apps. Viewing photos is a 2-step process, and it shouldn't be. Before you can open files, you have to download them. Tap the file, tap download, wait. Tap the file, tap open. This needs to be streamlined in a future version. Needs work, but ownCloud has huge potential and this mobile app is a step in the right direction.

Works well with owncloud 7. I am using this app with my Windows ownCloud 7 install with SSL using my own self signed certificate. For those having trouble you do need to add the cert to your iOS device. I just emailed it to myself and installed the profile. Or uncheck the "force HTTPS" in the admin pages. Have not tried all functions, but love having my owncloud and access on all my devices. Would like to see thumbnails if that was possible

Not very useful absent the ability to share a link. The main reason I bought this app was to share large file links via email. You can share the ENTIRE file via email and other routes. But you can't share a link to a large file. Kind of useless at this point. Save your money until the capability of the app improves.

Nice looking app, but lacking features. I would like to be able to access all other things like Calendar and Contacts (as a previous review stated) but also I am having an issue with uploading pictures. They just sit there and say "Waiting for server connection", even when I can download things previously uploaded from the web.

Works but missing features. Works good in iOS11 missing important feature. There is no option for instant upload Wi-Fi only in this case I recommend to turn off instant upload or you will waste you data if you are taking pictures outside wi-fi range.

Good, but has some small bugs.. I get logged out every update and have to log back in. Also it seems to crash when downloading files sometimes. Please look into this.
