Best Hidden Object Game. Having played several hidden object games -including others by G5- this is by far the best. It’s hard enough to be challenging yet easy enough to not dissuade you from wanting to play. The game is also doable without having to buy in-app purchases. Something unlike others I tried. If you want to speed along faster, the option of in-app purchases is there. It’s not hard to do without, though. I personally never had to spend and I’m still singing their praises. They have monthly events to acquire totems, rare items and such which are easy enough that anyone can do them but again, challenging enough to keep your interest and still be a “challenge”. Adding other players in-game to ask for assistance is key. It will help you a LOT. Quests are always flowing which helps keep your interest and make you feel accomplished upon completion. I play another G5 hidden object game that differs a lot from this game in every way that I mentioned. I wish it was more like this one. This game is one of my favorites which allures me into playing every day.

Changing from fun to frustrating. The game is addictive, as another reviewer noted, but with the most recent updates is has become less fun and much more frustrating. It has become very slow to respond at times and can shut down even in the process of playing. Three weeks ago, I had over 700 friends. Then it reduced me to 300 plus, let me work back to over 400, and yesterday and today has me at 0. How did I lose all those people? I visited, sent gifts, and hired regularly. I have also experienced problems with in app purchases (again) with the message "cannot connect to the App Store" popping up. It seems as if these type of bugs come up periodically. The frustration of dealing with these issues takes the fun from the game. I will not be making any purchases for a while and may stop playing altogether, as some others apparently have done.

Downward trend with recent updates. Update: 2024 Game has improved since I wrote the last review. They have added some features and corrected some mistakes of the past so I now have upgraded the rating to 4 stars . March 2019-I’ve played this game for at least 2 years and the major updates lately have been bad. Useful talismans have been removed from several scenes, several scenes have been redesigned to make the objects unrecognizable, and the rewards upon completion have been reduced. In short, the company is clearly looking for more $ to play to the point that it is now ridiculous. DON’T FALL FOR IT. Let’s send a message by not paying another cent. 2016:I've paid money more than once for this game so I find it very irritating that both a uTube and regular splash ad launches each time I play the game. Paying customers shouldn't be interrupted by intrusive ads. Both ads need to be cancelled to return to the game. The game play itself is fine and I will raise the rating if ads are removed. Update 7/18: the ad splash problem described above was fixed but the latest update has created a new problem. Zoom has been restricted so you now can’t zoom in closely to find hidden objects. Talisman rewards are hard to get. I enjoy the game overall but dislike how updates constantly seem to push users to spend more money. I have spent enough.

Recent Changes in Events Too Frustrating. I had recently quit when new event assemblers only became available in Gem Match, a game I really dislike because it’s long and tedious. I came back last month when event assemblers became available in a location as well. However, this location requires items to search it. Luckily I have a huge stockpile but when they’re gone, if future events make assemblers only available in this same location, then for every event, I would have to search and earn required items for the event location AND the assemblers location. Too much extra work for the same reward. I’ve already spent HOURS of extra time on the current event and am nowhere near having enough assemblers to complete the final collection. I am done. I am forced to assume the game creators decided to make these changes only to benefit themselves because it certainly isn’t making the game more fun for me. Best of luck to other players who think these changes make the game more fun; I have other things to do with that time.

I'd give five stars if only.... Okay, been playing this daily for about a half hour for six months. I am at the level where I get 500 to use. It takes at least 24 hours to recharge. Way too long! Of course you can spend money, cash dollars, but that's silly. Achieving a level gets you one diamond, should be 100. Need diamonds to go further, thus forces you to quit or, buy more ...diamonds. Hate it when the quest requests a certain mode and it's not the one you need. Especially for the monthly feature. Never came close to accomplishing one. Gem one is so frustrating. I only do it to get an object. And when I have lots of time. Usually I need 6-8 extra times. Lastly, and please hear me, explain better about those collections. Apparently I need mores screws (no pun intended) to complete the collection. When I look at my inventory it says I have them? Hope this helps. The game is helping my inevitable memory loss as I enter my senior years. Love the challenges and graphics are non pariel.

Very enjoyable up until the latest update. This is a good game with beautiful graphics. It’s a good time waster and you can progress without spending too much money. However, this latest update is about to be a deal breaker for me. After solving each puzzle, instead of the very slight loading pause ( for the home screen to return) I am being shown an advertisement for 1 of the hundreds of other games this company makes. It’s annoying. You can’t bypass, you can’t ignore, you are stuck watching a 10 second ad over and over and over again.......we already are shown an ad to all these games when we first log into the original game. We are also invited to play other games by the “friends” we make in this game. Now I get to watch a loop of 2-3 different gameplay demos for 10 seconds each, every time I finish a puzzle. And did I mention this time waster also does not pause special talisman I’ve activated, or special offers I’m using in my real game,.....the game I actually want to play? So it appears that the makers have found yet another creative way to lessen the rewards of their game. Surely they wouldn’t do that on purpose......?

Fell in Love with Secret Society as is…. Awesome game, I became dedicated after my very first time checking it out in 2014. So I would not come here to complain! Thank you for NOT making this game too easy. I have been playing regularly for 10 years, so I was able to start when the game was still fairly new and build up a lot of tools before ever using them. Therefore, I do have a quite an advantage over newcomers to this game; They must start all the levels from the beginning at once which simply would not be as fun as my personal experience. I adore the story lines, graphics, skill levels, artwork, events and the way the game is designed. I have never missed an event even though they are set up just right to challenging for me. I respect this game! Keep up the good work team!

Never Achiever Game. Lates Update: Aug 21, 2017 - App takes 1+ minutes to either load content, send gifts, or visit friends. "Ain't nobody got time for that!" This game is mediocre if you just want to explore/find hidden object games and never win any quests and hardly progress at all. There are quests that require certain modes in pictures in order to complete and also certain pictures require special 'keys' to enter. Whatever G5's program is for you getting the right mode and the right amount of keys to complete a task is set against you. You'll never have enough energy to gather enough keys and play often enough to complete a quest or challenge. I have 10 days left on the current quest and need 2500 keys to play that quest picture. I also need a particular mode for collecting items. I would have to play the quest picture 10x with 250 keys daily to win. But I have to collect the keys first and this uses up all my energy before I can even play the quest room! It has taken me 5 days to collect 125 keys! And when I played and eventually got the mode I didn't get the item! At this rate it is impossible for me to achieve/win the quest. G5 makes their software/games to never benefit the player and forces you to pay to play. You'll never achieve in G5 games unless you pay $$$.

Stop inviting friends on behalf of players, add filters to news page. Most G5 players have many games downloaded and many friends on each game. However, we are being removed as a friend because G5 sends invitations to download other games on behalf of a player (who is unaware that this generates and is sent but G5 automatically when they download a new game for any reason). Also, for those of us who play multiple games, the News Feed page should offer a variety of filters such as: Filter Level 1. Specific game choice Filter Level 2. Combining elements requested by players (free gifts) Filter Level 3. Collection items requested by both (a) gifts and (b) friends since there is a maximum amount that we are a allowed each day. Filter Level 4. A counter that indicates how many Collection Items can still be given out Filter Level 4. Add items such as Carrots, Arrows, Tokens, Ladybugs, etc. to the wishlist. Filter Level 5. Does the player wish to sort newest to oldest or vice-versa. There are so many features in every game and I want to participate in all of them but since I can’t narrow down my search parameters, I rarely get to enjoy the games because there just isn’t enough time. Why would I buy an in-app purchase if there is no way to play to the “end”?

Greedy. If you don't spend money, it is VERY slow going. And it takes a very long time to gather collections. Also, you keep getting the same objects over and over instead of the ones you need. You can explore a location ten, twenty thirty times and still not get the item in the quest, EVEN IF YOU USE A TALISMAN WHICH SUPPOSEDLY INCREASES YOUR CHANCES OF FINDING THE OBJECT. It becomes so boring searching the same locations over and over; frustrating too. It takes WAY TOO LONG to get to a level where you can open a new location and experience some variety. Other hidden object games and companies are more generous and this keeps your interest by moving you forward and giving you rewards. Come on, don’t be greedy! Be generous, and treat others as you’d like to be treated. P.S. I needed to get to level 55 in order to open a new scene and this took a very long time; having to play the same scenes over and over again to move up the levels. I was at level 54, close to 55 and then the game automatically updated and with the new update the required level to open the same scene jumped to 62! Bullocks!!

I absolutely love this game. I have been playing this game for well over five years ….one of the things I love best about this game is that it changes frequently so I don’t get bored. Also, I like the fact that they are are some pictures that are easier and some pictures that are harder. This allows me to improve my game by playing some pictures more often in order to learn where the parts are. This is challenges, my brain to remember the location of items in the picture. And yes, the location does change of the items forcing your brain to remember more than one thing. This game is excellent for not allowing my brain or my eyes to age. also one of the things I love is that I don’t have to pay to be able to win these games. It may require me going back to another picture in order to gain the items that I need to complete a collection. But that makes it even more fun. I have to work for what I get. I will continue to play this game as long as I have eyes and a brain.

Secret Society. Do not download this game. It is full of problems that the developers either don’t care to fix or unable to fix. Used to love it. Not now. They really need to fix this problem with the inability to connect to friends to receive the gifts. The timers are off in all aspects of the game including any hard earned special talismans you activate. They will just disappear and you can do nothing about it and no help will be given from their support team at all. It has gone on long enough. Maybe time to put in some overtime to get it done. The game has even frozen before after I had activated several talisman. Really not happy about being unable to play although its timers were counting down. Support teams need to improve. With so many varied glitches in the game throughout the year it makes it almost impossible to participate in the events or advance in the game. Will probably delete this game very soon. With no answers to the multiple glitches and no one in their support team able to solve them the game is just using up my iPad memory. I was at level 323 on my iPad 2 and 188 on my iPad Air 2. It used to be a great game but with each new update the problems worsened. Apple should not even allow this game to be offered in their App Store. It reflects badly on them too.

I’m about to quit.. I am TIRED of having other game players send me personal messages, scolding me like I’m a child because they don’t get the gifts they want from me. If you don’t like my gifts, find another friend that’ll give you the gifts you want. Even better, BLOCK/UNFRIEND me. I am GROWN. bullying me about “ugh, it’s a FREE gift, WAAAAAAAAAH” and “life hack” is not going to get you what you want any faster. If gifts are given without penalty against what I have earned, then what is the point of the monthly challenges? I literally can wait until it ends and just ask for what I want from people and not do anything. So I’m over it. I’m tired of trying to get to 1,000 friends but I’ve hovered around 975 for about a year, I’m tired of only having about 150 active friends out of the 975, I’m tired of people getting angry when they don’t get what they want but they don’t give me what I want. I’m tired of putting in a ton of effort to finish challenges just for others to decide they want someone to hand everything to them. And I sure as heck am not going to listen to a nameless, faceless entity tell me anything existing in a virtual space is a freaking “life hack”. This game is a GAME. It’s not reality. Life hacks are for REAL LIFE sweetie. So yeah, this and the word game about about to give me some memory back on my phone and computer.

Ok. Update May 2020 - so for 2 months the game won't open. Can't get past opening credits. Done! Update August 2018- the game can be fun but once again there are constant glitches and G5 does not respond to emails. Crystals that magically disappear, collections that won't update, earned prizes that never materialize and the inability to accept friends. Update-was great for a while now all 250 of my friends are gone, collected items go missing, and timing is screwy. It's been a week already! Fix it! __update- for the 3 rd time this game has "lost" my crystals. At one per level they take forever to get so this is huge -tokens, ladybugs, etc are impossible to collect in a timely manner -been trying to collect the object from banquet for 13 days. 25invitations per attempt+ must be in morph mode+takes repeated attempts to get the object = beyond frustrated -can no longer get to friends at all. - some pictures are so dark and/ item is created in shadow makes the object and/or picture an irritation to play. -1 crystal to per level is ridiculous too.

G5 stole our sets which we paid to win. I have really enjoyed Secret Society, especially the friends you make there, for years. They just did an upgrade and took many sets that gave 5 instruments to me, that I paid to win, and made them worth 1 instrument! I feel that is theft as I have paid to win those sets over the years and saved them to play challenges. I now have lost over 500 great sets. What’s the point? You can’t combine them when you win them because G5 doesn’t let you win enough combiners. What they did was just wrong and a lot of us (i mean a LOT) are looking for a new game that is not G5. We don’t know what they will do next. Stay away, this game is toxic. UPDATE: G5 fixed some of the wishes we had complained about and I greatly appreciate it. I am raising them from 1 star to 3. There are other issues that need to be fixed. New worthless items are thrown into sets making it hard to get the pieces you need. But I do enjoy the game. Thanks G5 for fixing this mistake! Kudos to you!

BESTES HOG BY FAR!. This is one of the absolute best hidden object games I’ve ever played! It’s done so well with gorgeous scenes that aren’t overdone with objects. Each object placed goes so naturally with the scene. They’re beautiful to look at! The background music is so peaceful and you almost feel like you’re in a trance. The game itself has an awesome storyline that is easy to follow. You play at your own pace and you’re not forced to complete anything in a specific timeframe. Mostly, it’s extremely intriguing, captivating and fun! I thoroughly enjoy playing this game! You can play scenes to coincide with the story, play scenes as you wish to or both. No age limit, it’s easy enough for a child yet challenging enough for an adult. There are also mini games to play which are all about strategy, keeps your brain sharp! I’ve played many HOG’s and this is my all time favorite. I highly recommend this game. Sincerely,Glory

What happened to the game I loved?. I played this game a few years ago and loved it but it was too hard to see on my iPhone. I recently bought an iPad mini and was excited to be able to play again. After three months I am frustrated to see that it’s impossible to play without spending money. 100,000 coins to open a room - Really??? Repeatedly the items I need to find in order complete a collection can only be found in rooms that can only be opened at a much higher level than I am currently on. Today I decided to check out the reviews as I couldn’t believe people were happy with the changes. The reviews are all negative and I agree with every complaint. There are plenty of free games out there and I don’t make a habit of throwing money away so I’m deleting the app. It is a shame because it has great graphics and can be a challenging past time. I hope the creators will listen to their customers- unless they don’t think of them as customers but “suckers” and of course there is one of those born every minute.

I love this game, BUT.... The concept, graphics, and design of this game are great and can be addicting. At least initially. I've been playing for about two years, and the game does appear to be endless, which is frustrating. More meaningful advancement of the plot and ways to win more crystals without having to spend money would rate more stars. The crystals are extremely expensive and quite a few are needed to purchase needed items. The philosopher's crystal appears occasionally or trunks are offered in the store to offer bargains, but compared to other games, the cost is still high. Overall, if you like this type of game, it's one of the best, but there is room for improvement. The most recent update crashes frequently but probably my biggest disappointment has been my inability to easily transfer my game progress to a new device. I've tried several things, but nothing has worked. Reviewers here have made other worthy pro and con points about the game. It is well worth the time and effort, I just hope the developers are listening to their loyal gaming customers.

Fun but Friends?. I really enjoy this search and find game. I enjoy the scenes, the difficulty isn’t to hard or to easy, and the story line is interesting. I do have a problem with the Friends aspect, unfortunately. I am currently at a little over 550 friends in the game, my mom has just under 1000. Both of us are unable to invite other players of Secret Society to be friends with us “at this time” to quote the message we both get. That is supremely unfair as one of the achievements is to get 1000 friends, and possibly more than that. I am sick and tired of invites to play other games made by this company by other players, so I imagine that other players who I have in the past sent invites to are probably just as sick and tired of that. So I stopped inviting non-players to play. Please correct this oversight. I’m sick and tired of being stuck on the friends thing just because “at this time” isn’t over yet.

Stingy developers. Updated review: Both this game and their other one (I think it's called Hidden City or something like that) stop being fun bc it is almost impossible to earn the components needed to assemble collections to advance. Also the graphics on this one is not good...it is ridiculously difficult to see some of the objects bc they are so blurry/unclear. MyTona (another developer) does a much better job in their mystery/hidden objects game. Old review: This game is fun but it is costly (nearly impossible if you don't pay for gems) to complete collections, etc. Also, none of these type of games seem to be developed for use on the Apple Hi-Res screen since the pictures are often fuzzy, esp when you zoom, which makes it difficult to find some objects. Also, the sensitivity to touching objects is not sensitive enough...I have touched objects that were the correct ones (which I had to use a hint to find) but the game did not recognize my touch. Annoying!

Great game with one complaint. I’ve been playing this game for a long time and I love playing it. Graphics are great and the game is fun. I have one major complaint. When the game advances to the next level, energy gets restored, but if you have a lot of energy left, the game just restores to the total for that level instead of adding the energy to when you had left. Since energy restores slowly, I really don’t like that it steals your remaining energy that you had before level advancement. I would like this game much more if the total energy for the new level was added to your remaining energy. I’ve seen other reviews saying the same thing, but nothing changed. If I use items to make combinations that give me energy, I really don’t want them disappearing when I advance to the next level. I’m hoping the developers will fix this because it’s very annoying.

Pop up ads and non working keyboard. I can hardly believe how much you have ruined the enjoyment i have appreciated for quite a few years by your recent use of pop-up ads for your companies other games. They are so frequent that i no longer really enjoy playing. I am considering giving up on this game entirely. What bad choices on your part. You have always tried to encourage the purchase of items in game. I would happily make such purchases if they were much more reasonable for what you is received. But these new, Constant pop up ads totally ruin the rhythm of the game and interfere in concentration which destroys the enjoyment and reason for playing. In addition I sent a report of a seriously aggravating issue with the game since the last update that is preventing my purchased keyboard the i use to hold my IPad from communicating with the game. This Bluetooth keyboard works with all the other apps I have on my IPad and previously worked with this game. Now however i cannot type anything, which is essential to be able to play this game, unless i remove my IPad from the Bluetooth keyboard. All these issues are seriously ruining my enjoyment of this game. You have not bothered to respond to my previous communication at all. Not even the usual we have received your letter and referring me to a sight that is worthless. HELP

Gift glitches. I love this game except for the problems with gifts. Several times it has started crashing every time I try to collect gifts. Re booting my iPad does not work. If I cancel the game then download again it re opens with hundreds of gifts from people who are not my friends. I have tried deleting these but it crashes. I collect them but before I get the last couple it crashes. I re download again and all the stranger gifts are back. I am not getting any of the gifts from actual friends. Very frustrated. It needs to be fixed or I will quit. Bummer. I have not had the above problem since I quit for a year and came back on my new iPad. However, G5 did not recognize me and made me start all over. I lost avatars I loved and 100 levels. My son in-law has had to start at the beginning every time he gets a new device. You need a better recognition system for players. I do not spend a lot of money to play because I do not have it. I used to be able to win avatars because I play a lot but it has gotten so hard to get the last level it is not fun just irritating.

Annoying pop ups!. I have been playing this game for a really long time, and enjoy it. However, lately, (especially when I’m using a timed artifact, amulet, etc.), annoying and time consuming pop up ads “exclusively for Secret Society Players” fill the screen. Waiting for the ad to count down to close also brings up another full screen yet again advertising said “exclusive “!!! I know where to find other available games by G5, if I want to play one, I’ll download it!! Your reply was pretty lame - do you really think your players need “to be informed about special deals” through irritating pop ups? Give us some credit!! Why not just put info up when the app is loading- with all your other available games? Your use of pop ups- basically for your own advertising is insulting, and way too frequent.

Gift box size increased. Thank you G5e for responding to player requests for a larger gift box. Even though I played multiple times a day, my gift box often exceeded the 50 Item limit and many gifts from friends were lost. With the larger capacity, I’ll not only be able to collect more of the gifts sent to me, but also have more confidence that gifts I send will be received by my friends. I’ll upgrade my review to 5 stars as soon as G5 allows players to opt out of having invitations to other games sent out under our names without permission. I’d love to try some other G5 games, but don’t dare download them, knowing my current friends will all get ‘join me in playing’ requests. If I like a new game and want to invite them, it’s a nice option to have. But it’s not ok to send an invite in my name without my permission, and before I have time to evaluate the new game.

Ms.. Cruel, sadistic and anti-gamer! This last special event (I think honoring Mothers' Day) was virtually impossible to finish. While most objects were findable within a few instances of looking in the picture, there were some items which took waaaaaaay too many---more than 10. There was one which I think took more than 15 but I was too frustrated to keep track. It felt like 100 times! I only kept going to see if the item would ever actually appear. And of course it was the last item so l had already invested a lot in completing this. To add insult to injury, the objects needed to combine the collections were hard to get, and the amounts needed increased a lot over the course of the event. Frustratingly, I did not have enough to combine the last 5 items. A gamer works hard enough to get whatever is needed to look in a picture, and then find the items. The requirements to combine items into a collection should not be so punitive. My suggestion is to make combination elements common for all collections, and make only a small amount necessary. I have shared my enjoyment of this game with friends and family in the past, but no longer. It is just too frustrating now, and I want to discourage others from feeling so stressed over what should be, and could have been, fun. Soon my impulse to rage-quit will overcome my addiction and I will be free of this game. In the meantime, heed my warning and do not get sucked in to this sadistic travesty of recreation.

Sds3112. This is a great game to past the time and it's always got new things to do returning to it again and again. It could use more energy resources so that you don't have to wait as long to restore your energy. It also lets you help out friends and in return they can help you as well. There is a downside to this game though it gives you more of the items you don't need and less of what you do need. It also needs more puzzles up top and more anomaly fighting items in more locations. Ok already you said friends list was fixed but it's not haven't been able to visit or send gifts for 4 days have tried everything but no luck getting thru to server so get it fixed please !! And also put a chat box in so you can chat with friends. This is starting to get frustrating why can't the sever be reached and why does this continue to happen. You have said you fixed this twice now. It's a great game but without the friends and gifts it's not fun and I find myself not playing until you get it fixed. Please hurry !! Thank you. Ok now I have no friends I'm still getting gifts from people but all my friends have vanished. Please fix asap. Thank you.

Fun Game BUT.... I HAAAATE THIS NEW UPDATE!!! I've enjoyed playing this game for a couple of years now. The graphics are beautiful and the puzzles are challenging. However, I do get a bit frustrated at times. Each update brings a new "quest". The achievements in these quests are virtually impossible to attain unless you spend money (which I do not do because well... I'm cheap) to buy items needed to play the new boards. Then when the time period is up for the new quest, you can only get a few of the needed items from one or two other boards and that takes FOREVER. I think once a quest is over, we should have unlimited access to all the boards while we wait PATIENTLY for the next update. It's bad enough to have to wait for the correct "mode" and then not get what we are hoping for time and time again. I also think the items should stay the same and not change each time you play that picture. A dog is a dog, not 4 different dogs. Especially when the "silhouette" does not even come close to resembling what I'm looking for! C'mon!!!! But overall, this game is challenging enough to help me escape my circus of a life for a few minutes throughout the day! But the "quests" are just too stupidly impossible to keep my attention. I'm just sayin'...

Friends & Gift changes are awful. Librarian leaving game for real. I got a newer iPad and now I can’t access friends without logging in. I won’t log in or give my location, so deleting after playing for over 3 years. The new friends function is horrible. I don't want to communicate with others or download other games or link to Facebook. In order to give someone a gift and also visit them it you have to back to your game page then go back to the Friends screen, which is so cumbersome. I used to give multiple friends gifts daily and now it is a pain and too time consuming. Too many clicks! You can't easily see how many elemental items you have before giving one to a friend. All sorts of messages show up before you can play the game. I don't care about communicating with anyone, I just want to play a game. Unless you are familiar with Japanese items, you have no idea what you are searching for in the newest puzzle. I am a senior and play to exercise my mind. Edit: I also agree with another reviewer, the changes made to Japanese House, Buddha Square and Throne Room scenes make them look cluttered and dark. It is now impossible to find all the items once you are at a higher level. I have played this game for a number of years, but am ready to delete and go to a hidden object game from another company. I am playing down coins, and gems and then it is bye G5. I really liked the game and played it for years.

Don’t force me to write a review. It makes the makers appear cheap to force players to write reviews by making it a quest in the game. In other words you’re buying reviews. Normally I’d give a game 1 star just to encourage you to stop buying reviews but the graphics are good, quests challenging & tutorials helpful (for the most part.) I am disabled so I do not spend money to play, it’s more important to pay my bills so if this game gets so challenging to win that I have to buy anything to advance I will delete it. I do agree it’s difficult to tap some images & images should remain the same within a picture but then again we asked to be challenged. One thing you do need to fix for those of us who are slow readers, leave the comments on the screen after a quest long enough for players to read them. Most clear off before I get to read half of it.

The good, the bad, the ugly. I have played this game for over a year. The graphics are good, updates on a regular basis, scenes/ objects challenging, etc. It’s possible to play without pay if you’re patient. However, during this same year there have been constant update glitches, lost progress towards rewards without cause, and changes to scenes resulting in cluttered graphics. In addition, the new quests have become impossible to complete without buying your way to the end— which, from the developers’ perspective, is probably the point, but from a players perspective just plain aggravating. G5 has 64+ games and their response to customers issues has gone downhill. The latest update, January 28, 2019, has caused multiple cases of load and crash. G5 in general states they are aware and are working on a fix. To individuals, G5 blames the crashing on either lack of storage or IOS systems not current (an excuse when players state this isn’t the case). Check fan forums for all the glitches on this game before you start playing. If G5 repairs the crashing problem, I may keep playing a bit longer. But I confess I’m at the delete point—- this is supposed to be fun, not another source of frustration in the chaos of daily life.

Frustrating game. I have been playing this for a LONG time and had enjoyed Gem Match the most, though I knew that it “cheated” some like getting very active right near the end and eating up the clock. But it has now reached a whole new level off cheating that I feel is unprecedented. You have changed it so that you do not know which piece to move, it turns out that you have to move the square you are trying to clear rather than what has normally been. It is constantly rearranging the layout preventing you from trying to develop a “strategy”. It often only allows you to have moves just in the middle (or one side or the other) so that the outer/inner spaces are NEVER cleared. And its’ continuing to play by itself is just another way you have come up with to eat up the clock, while the player can only sit by and watch it happen. I have not “solved” it in such a long time that it has become not worth your time even trying. It is ashamed as it was one of my favorites.

There are better games available. As an experienced Hunter in these types of games I am sorely disappointed in this one. The amount of energy you are allowed lets you play one maybe two games before you’re out of energy and have to buy more. The prizes you’re supposed to get for completing a puzzle are nonexistent. At least 50% of the time you get nothing But I message saying “better luck next time”. The puzzles themselves, while a good concept of having to complete a puzzle in order to open a puzzle, have made the objects you’re supposed to find too small and too difficult to find so that you end up running out of time and then you have to buy something to help you complete the puzzle. The puzzles should be challenging, not completely impossible to complete without having to buy something. And everything you have to buy is way more expensive than whatever it is you have in your cash so you have to go to the store and buy more rubies or coins or something else. I understand making money. I’m an accountant and very pro business. But there ARE limits. This group is simply too greedy for my taste. Too bad because I tend to spend a few hundred dollars a month on puzzles I like. But I don’t feel that I should have to spend a few hundred dollars every time I want to play a game. The creators need to wrap their heads around the concept of small profits over a lot of people. Coca-Cola has managed to become a multibillion dollar company by making $.02-$.03 on every can of Coke.

Secret Society. I enjoy playing the game. There are, however, times that the game slows down, “matrix” style. It is frustrating, because the picture is rarely cleared. The slow down starts in the midst of attempting to clear the picture. A phone call, and/or using the timer app can trigger it when playing on my IPHONE or IPAD. I have read other reviewers talk about the slow down……I guess it is a, so far, unfixable glitch. I have tried to get this addressed before. In any case, the game reminds me of the “highlights” magazine that I read as a child, where there were pictures that had “hidden” items that needed to be located to complete the puzzle. That part of the game is fun and challenging. Some of the pictures I avoid because they are too challenging. I am writing this review while waiting for an update. It should be completed by now.

Worth Coming Back. I played this game diligently for more than a year until my iPad could no longer handle the upgrades and even entering the game was so slow it was at first torturous and then impossible so I deleted the game from my device. Recently I replaced my iPad and decided to try again. It has been like finding a former friend while being older and wiser. I have started from scratch but many scenes are familiar. Some older scenes have been updated, so they aren’t exactly the same but are still a challenge. I’m taking the collections less seriously and looking to complete the ones that will give me the reward I want then saving the versatile collection items for the more obscure collections. I miss the way friends were added in the past, but I am adjusting. I don’t necessarily want to befriend everyone in every G5 game which seems to be encouraged in this newer version. I don’t mind the ads, they are briefer than in some other games these days. The scenes are beautifully rendered and that is what I enjoy the most. All in all I’m glad I decided to give this game another chance.

10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend. A beautiful game with an amazing community! The developers put a lot of hard work into creating new content every month…new puzzles, music, and game items! They also address any glitches that may arise very quickly 🥰 You can tell that this company and their developers care about their players and are proud of their work. I have always felt like they treat the players with fairness and respect 🥰. You can play this dense game that is FULL of content for free with no strings attached, but you may want to buy some crystals from time to time in order to support the continuing, excellent work on the game ☺️ There are pictures of a wide variety of exotic locales with varying levels of difficulty, so you are sure to find several that you love to play. The objects are hidden in ways that continue to keep me on my toes after years of gameplay. There is so much to do that you can play as casually, or as deeply as you wish. There is a fun storyline, with new “event” stories every month. Come for the awesome gameplay, but stay for the amazing friends that you will make from an international player base. The in-game message system includes the ability to translate! Gem match frustrating. There have been numerous times I’ve activated the Explorer’s Eye but the game expires because it takes so long for the gems to come to a complete stop, that I then have to use the Time Machine to extend the game for the EE to take effect. Thus I end up using two tools to not loose my game progress in my awards status. The fact that you have to wait, and wait, and wait for the gems to completely settle before you can make another move eats up a lot of time and is very frustrating. It would be okay if they settled quickly and you could keep moving, but that is not the case. Wouldn’t hurt to have some more free plays. I’ve been at this for more than two months and have one free hour of energy play in that entire time. Another game I play offers one free hour of energy play every day. Overall still a fun game. I love that we can chat with friends within the game.

Is getting impossible to solve. Update 11/21. Rcvd canned response from G5. They don’t get it. DID ANYONE WHO PLAYS THIS ASK YOU TO MAKE THE ITEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE! I doubt it. As I said before, I appreciate challenge but when the pieces we are supposed to seek & find are impossible to see then it’s not a challenge. I’ve got plenty of tools to use and I have to use them every time I play. It’s not meant to be more challenging—it’s intended to get our money. G5 didn’t address the issue of having to find items in a certain order. Since I’ve played many years I’ve got trillions of coins available to buy the tools I need. But new players will find it frustrating that they can’t play for long. G5 is losing players for this reason. Original post— I’ve played this for years. It used to be fun. I appreciate challenge but they’ve made it impossible to even see the items, or to finish in the time allotted. I’m only playing a little now. I see more and more friends dumping the game. I can see them push to get your money behind every upgrade. Not fun if you try to seek items but can’t find them. It also seems that you must find items in a certain order in every mode (there’s a special mode for that), which is not how it’s supposed to be. Game is going downhill. Too bad. Seems to be happening with G5 Entertainment in all of their games.

Take back my original review. These games are not relaxing or fun. I am am disabled, but I used to be a software engineer. I play these games to relax and have fun with friends. It is isn’t either of those. I have complained and they never do anything about. They bombard you with ads to buy their extras throughout their game. And their games get faster and faster so that no matter how good you get at it they are trying to force you to buy their extras so you can keep up with the game. And the game has a lot of glitches. While you are playing it and going along it keeps flashing the screen and changing your entire screen so that you can never keep track of anything. For someone like myself who has epilepsy this is concerning. I can see changing the screen if there are no moves, but it also changes when you do have moves. When you try to send a complaint in, they send you back a conformation email asking you to send back an email with your complaint? Can’t they read? And their email states if you do not send one back they will consider your case closed. How convenient. Why send one in at all. It’s like dealing with AT&T. I could go on and on, but really why bother....

Items in pictures. I’ve enjoyed playing this game, but recently after an update, the Venice picture and Buddha square have acquired more items and the ones you look for have changed. The picture looks so cluttered and I can’t find what I used to in these pictures. I’ve enjoyed going into these pictures and they were challenging enough but now it’s impossible to find what I’m looking for because there’s so much other junk in there that don’t relate and the pictures look cluttered to the point that the objects might burst from the picture. There was nothing wrong with how it was because it was still challenging, but now you’re making me not want to visit the pictures I enjoyed. Either this temporary for the holiday or planning to become a regular thing to the other pictures, I’m just stating my displeasure with it as it has become frustrating for me to find things amongst the clutter. I have enough problems with that in reality, I don’t need that in my game!

Changes made over time have been uniformly negative. I started playing this game over a year ago. In that time, the game has gone downhill with each new update. It used to be easier to gain rewards after each completed picture; now I can have multiple items active to increase my chances of finding rewards and still get nothing. And playing one room ~10 times in order to find enough of a special item just to be able to play another room once, in hopes of finding a reward that is needed to continue a quest, when the chances of finding such are going down with each update...well, that becomes an interminable grind, not an enjoyable pastime. Add in the fact that the last three rooms added have the unpleasant feature of having multiple versions of each object, and the game becomes an exercise in clicking randomly. “Find this dog that is shaped nothing like the silhouette displayed, and also looks different from the dog shown the last time you played this room.” No thank you. The graphics are still lovely, studying settings is still immersive; if you download it, my advice is, ignore the quests and “storyline” completely, and just enjoy searching for stuff. Since the game is obviously intended to be a money sink, I won’t be buying anything more from the developers.

Special items/ crystals deal. I have been playing this game for several years now and I enjoy it. A couple of complaints though. When I first started playing every once in a while a crystal deal would pop up, 100 crystals for $1. That never happens anymore. Also I think it’s way to difficult to earn ladybugs, the arrow for tree of dates room etc and when there’s a new room, the new items to connect the prizes. I’ve been playing for over a week and have gotten very few pink bows and the other new ones. I don’t think that the push to force players to spend a ton of money is fair. I buy things every once in a while but without the $1 crystal deal and long droughts of acquiring ladybugs and other items you need to search a room is very frustrating. Also back a while when the time ran out for the new room goals the special item would turn into ladybugs etc. and it was in the 100’s for each. Like I said I don’t mind buying things but it seems now that it’s far to often and I’m getting very board. I do like the new rooms to get something new to do. Thank you, I hope you will consider my feed back and make some minor changes.

Great Tech Support!!. I have been playing this game for probably 10 years and I had an issue where I received a new quest but I hadn’t collected any of the collection items for it and it had said all was collected and I needed to combine them which wasn’t the case. I got all but 1 collection item from friends and I could not get the last collection item. I tried for a month or so when I finally decided to submit a trouble ticket with G5. The tech support team had me delete my game from my device and they fixed my profile for me and when they were finished I was able to reinstall the game. I logged on and the quest was there and I was finally able to complete the quest and combine all the collection items. Thank You to Aleksandr and the rest of the G5 tech support team!

Secret society. I am so disgusted with this game I’m about ready to quit! I am on level 60, have 87 completed collections, have 123,000 + points and all of my open scenes are in the night mode! Have the time the unlocked scenes which you have to put together to play you are unable to complete because when you tap on them they won’t move!!!! This uses up precious time and thus you can never complete them. Especially heinous is the wedding party. None of the pieces will move when tapped😡! And the jigsaw puzzle forget! Allowing only 90 seconds to complete is ridiculous especially when the tapped pieces won’t move! And if you don’t complete a scene in the allotted time you lose all the hard work that has gone on before! And the fact you keep asking us to buy, buy, buy is offensive 😡. I have enjoyed and played this game for a long time but I’m finished. 87 collections collected and you want me to buy something to get the “prize”😱🤦‍♀️. Not happening! I will offer a suggestion to those looking at possibly downloading this app-DON'T!

Current Issue Game Freezing when Visiting Friends. Tech support quick to respond to game freezing while I Visit Friends function of game. Game links to Facebook, and yesterday there was an update to Facebook for iPad version anyway, to correct Facebook crashing issues among other technical issues. So I will Visit Secret Society friends now to see if problem resolved or not. Update: 2nd time FB has issued another update to fix recurring crashes, installed FB update. Now previously fixed game FREEZING now recurring. As former information systems professional, does this then require G5 to do another Fix for now Freezing issue? There is no Secret Society update. So I think I will have to check email from G5 which did fix Freezing link, possibly a Case # to provide. I can not troubleshoot error I am Player of game, not G5 Technical Troubleshooter or Game Programming Professional. Facebook not so good in fixing things historically. Needless to say, this is very aggravating. Have improvents been made with Rename of Facebook to META? Or is Meta holding company or is it Technical arm of Facebook?

Secret society. I have enjoyed playing the two Christmas pictures in this game but those are about the only two pictures I have really enjoyed. I gave it a 4 rating due to the graphics you provide, they are indeed outstanding. But in saying that how you hide objects and the difficulty to pick them up leaves me frustrated and sometimes screaming at my I-pad. Nothing frustrates me more than to have tapped on the object two or three times and then use a hint only to find it goes to the same place I was tapping. I also do not like to have to connect to social media to be able to complete a scene or rather a collection. I feel if you found all 5 items in the collection you should get the prize for collecting them not have to find or buy other objects to complete. I also think if you have looked for a fish in a particular picture it should remain the same fish each time not changing from a real one to a stone one or a picture of a fish, it is ok to have a different fish in each picture but it should remain the same in that picture. Also the cost gets too high as you go up in levels, my income does not change as I solve your puzzles. Some of the complaints go for some of your other games as well so I have to decide how many I can afford and which one please me the most. I will say bye to this one.

What "gifts"?. I used to love this game. Even though it is frustrating to have to work so hard for clues and tools, it WAS my favorite game, but no more. It is too hard to get the tools/items needed to enter the rooms and complete the scene, and if that weren't enough, now I can't get my 28 gifts that have been piling up for days! The game crashed-I started over, I couldn't get the tools/items to finish the collections-I tried harder and longer. Not being able to get gifts is my final straw, I don't want to play anymore! For example, why do I have to work so hard for arrows for Tree of Dates? I see others have been complaining about the same thing, along with few diamonds/rewards, so it can't be you aren't aware of the issues! I'm recommending my fellow players try out "Mirrors of Albion". It is similar in many ways but you do have regenerating tools and you do get gifts, and you can complete collections. A game is supposed to be fun, not stressful, I hope you get it figured out!

8/8/18 Frozen wishlist and progress. New glitch since last iOS update affecting all iOS players! G5 won’t respond to me any more and all our friends cannot gift items we currently need! Our progress is frozen and our friends think we are not playing! Also the percentage progress in the new picture cheats you out of 20% of plays while using up the items needed to play the room. It has been over 3 weeks since the update that caused all this and g5 has no customer support! They send a form letter, then nothing for weeks or months! Fun to play when it works but impossible now! Spending my time and $ on other games now. The server glitch is fixed and another fix that really helped me was adding a second chance to the cancel button on the puzzles! It saved my streak when I hit it accidentally, so hanks, G5! It's still hard to play the game when you're on a fixed income and can't buy very much, but it is possible. I know a lot of us complain about the glitches so I wanted to point out an improvement!

What happened guys?. I’ve been playing this game for a few years now. So far, I’ve lost all my “pictures in a row without a loss” TWICE! I was pretty mad as you can imagine. But that really only lost me some bonus stuff so I let it go. Now the new pictures they keep coming up with are so difficult that it’s not possible to even do them without using various little cheat tools. I’ll be the first to tell you that you can’t play this game for free and expect to progress. I limit myself to about $10 a month on this game. It’s getting to not be enough. But now with these new pictures and quests I’m about ready to find a new game. I mean who really thought in a “finding hidden object” game that it would be fun for the players if the developers wrote the new scenes so that instead of a “scale” being just a “scale”, it could be one of about a dozen or so different kinds of “scale”. You know, just to be sure that the players don’t even know what it is in the picture they’re actually even looking for!!! It’s crazy and it’s super-frustrating.

Hate this part. The part of this game that really makes it no fun is the pictures where you have to find pieces of a whole. They make it so difficult that it just isn’t any fun. It is one of the reasons I don’t play this game as often as I used, I got frustrated. I also try to avoid those puzzles that have the split circle, but sometimes in order to find something you have to do them. I just finally give up. It’s not worth it. Some of the pictures are also too dark.. This game also never lets you earn crystals. I have been playing for at least three years and have never had more than 12 crystals if that. I am down to four my fault did not realize something costs me Crystals. Unless you spend money crystals are pretty much off the table to earn. The last thing is that this game penalizes you if you play at different times during the day they X out your rewards. You lose credit if you play in the morning one day but play later in the day the next day. We all have different schedules. We also have a life. I really dislike the new puzzle it is creepy. I hate listening to people eat. It’s like watching someone with their mouth open and listening to the sound. The laughter is creepy too.I would like to mention I have played this game for several years and only have 6 crystals which is worthless. They need to find a way to award crystals so you can continue doing the picture that is currently at 5he top. Quit being so stingy!

Carebear Kerrie. I have been playing this game for a while now and I'm finding it extremely expensive why do we need to purchase crystals All the time ? It's starting to cost me a fair amount of money and as much as I do enjoy playing this game I'm going to have to delete it once the crystals that I have now are gone . Maybe you could have some challenges where you can get free crystals it would be nice if you could make it a bit fairer that way more people would be able to afford to continue playing.

Grandma. I used to rate this game a 5 but since the new layout, etc I have down graded it to a 4 as there are so many issues with it. It is very annoying to get constant invitations to other games, a few would be fine but you have over loaded that system. Some of the new items are super tiny and there is no way you can find them without using the tools. Some of the settings have been given new items which have nothing to do with the picture at all. Hopefully some of the changes can be reversed as I see a lot of people are complaining. I hope that you heed these messages as the basis of the game is great. Still far too many new games, every month, no break in between them, no unique helpers being offered. Remember less is more!

Could be good but too many bugs. Tried most recent up date and I cannot get in. Often cannot connect to server. Timer often stops so energy fails to renew. I think it has fake friends in the system as I have over 300 waiting to respond to my requests. On the positive side when it does work it is fun.

Must need a lobotomy to play this game. Too repetitive. You need to find things to collect “rewards” needed to make other rewards but the rewards are “random”, so they can literally make you play the same game over and over to keep trying for the specific thing you need and if it’s not given you just have to keep playing....I’ve played the same scene 37 times and still not got the item I need. There’s no skill or tactic involved, it’s random. I’m done.

Big game small problem. I have been playing for 57 days now and I think that they don’t give enough time and I don’t know how the heck you even invite friends . I lost all my tools last week dude to internet problems! This games OK but I must say that can improve it!!!

Great game. Love this game totally addicted. I recently bought I new iPad so have to start over again but that's all good. Recommend it to anyone that likes finding hidden objects. It's great that the objects are in different places when you go in to find them.

Great Fun but buggy. I love this game. Have played for years- literally. However, I am is having an extremely annoying bug where when I accept friend requests in the waiting tab, they add to my friends for about 30 seconds then vanish back to request/waiting tab! Extremely frustrating.

Best hidden object game. This is certainly the best hidden game I’ve found and have been playing off and on for over 10 years. Some scenes are better than others, some have clearer images and items than others and some are more appealing in design. On balance, a very good game. I have 2 negatives. 1 is at times to achieve a reward it takes a crazy number of repeats. 5, 10 or even 20 sometimes is ok but more than that is just boring. Similarly the repeats required for the special gem match is truly boring particularly as it’s required for every special quest. And some time ago 3 of the more simple games - Japanese House, Buddha Square and Venice - were updated with additional random items that have no relationship to the scene theme, are not included in any quest and have just made the scenes messy and unattractive. Small point but it’s a shame that they have changed. I would always recommend this game to others, younger and older players.

Latest download not working. I play this game a lot and love it. However I just downloaded the latest update and usually most of my icons show as a tan box for a few minutes and then change to the actual item picture. But it’s been a few hours now and they’re not reverting back to the actual item pictures. Any help?!

Just started....some issues now. I've now been playing for a week or two. Several issues: you don't get enough time on majority of the scenes to find everything. I realise you probably want us to buy crystals (or whatever you call them) and I have brought some but don't think I'm getting value for money so won't buy any again. Secondly: you only get about 1 minute 20 seconds to do the jigsaw puzzles - not enough time as most of the pieces need turning 3 times and you can only turn them in a free section of the puzzle so you can't always turn them, it definitely isn't enough time - I'm trying to get the second part which I need to earn flowers for to get which you can only get playing the jigsaw, which you can't do because there isn't enough time. Also, I accidentally purchased something using gems which I didn't mean to do, please set up your game so that a question asks you if you want to purchase the item so that you can get out of the purchase if it was a mistake. I think that's all for now but please think about the time allowed for play each scene especially the jigsaw or don't have rotating pieces as it just takes too long. I've only been playing two days but so far so good. I think the energy runs out too quickly - perhaps you need to give us more to work with. I'll add to this as I play further into the game (I was offered free crystals to write this now.....)

Judy. Not happy after the latest update! Some items in the latest pictures are ridiculously small, with some almost totally hidden, and in silhouette mode they change shape! This means I have come to rely on the zoom to find these items. Then in this newest update you change the zoom in feature, so you can only zoom in half as much! I sincerely hope this is NOT a permanent feature but an oversight or glitch that is fixed in the next update. If the latest pictures and changes to the zooming, are an indication of the direction the game will be moving in, it might be time for a change of game. G5 I understand change is inevitable, but it should add to the enjoyment and make a game better, not this latest exercise in frustration, get your act together!

Enjoying it!. Having fun, keep trying to challenge myself by not enlarging the pictures to find everything ... I like that I can pause I The game if needed and come back. Takes a long time to collect items if you don’t buy the crystals though. Will keep playing😊

Best in-game puzzled. I have played this game for years, and it's still my favourite! I only play it for the four in-game puzzles, which are the best selection I've ever found in one place: high quality versions of match 3, pipes, un-block me and memory. I can't function without my daily dose! Pleeeeeeease add some new puzzles soon!

Ok but some issues. Game is fun but most scenes are a bit difficult- I.e I cannot find all items within allowed time limit . Also it’s not easy to play on a phone - screen is too small. I realize you prob want players to buy diamonds but I don’t think it’s great value for money. The energy does not last for very long (as I fail to find all items most times) so most times I only spend like 20min on the game.

And with such low Rewards of 2,3,4,5 when trying to collect items in special events to complete the collection items Takes too long to collect items to complete collections in special event. Been playing this for years. Have enjoyed this game for years now, as an oldie I personally like the games that stay the same, I was disappointed at the upgrades of the original rooms, to the point where I no longer play them. I also like the larger size of the items to be found due to my older age! 🤓

Events. I just wanted to let you know that I’m loving the events every month! It really makes the game more enjoyable and interesting. Although I keep finishing the event too fast! I wouldn’t mind if it was a bit harder...

Love but…. Love the game however my main issue is that when I’m playing and an alarm goes off on my phone or I get a call and then go back to the game the sound is gone. It’s really frustrating have to restart the game again and again. Also things are expensive and it’s hard getting free gems.

Awesome game. Love this game!! It makes you really pay attention to things in a room. The only down side is you don’t get enough energy or rather the rooms you play use too much energy therefore you can’t keep playing when you have the time to. If you fixed this it would be a perfect game.

Disappointed. Have been playing this game now for a couple of years I think and although sometimes having sound issues I have enjoyed the experience. However the latest update refused to open on my iPad even after rebooting it. So I deleted the app and now for the first time have lost all my data... I don’t want to start from the beginning again so won’t be playing anymore!

Secret Society. I’ve been playing this game for at least 10 years. Started on my first Samsung tablet and continue with iPad. Well structured game with regular updates. Never bored. Highly recommended.

Already addicted. i downloaded this game 5 hours ago and can not stop playing since. help! also, energy drains too quickly. this game also asks for players to use real money too much. better than ads tho i guess. lol.

Addictive, but a couple of tweaks would make it awesome. I really enjoy this game because there's so many facets... there's a bug that isn't keeping my friends in my list, I have to accept the requests again every time I play.... the other frustrating thing - energy gets used up way too quickly meaning I can't play as much as I want to... please fix these things and you'll have one of the best games ever.

Great game but it has problems. This is not a game to play on a small screen as the items you have to find are too small to be able to tap. The game depends on earning energy points which only accumulate over time or through purchasing food items. So either play in short bursts or be prepared to spend cash. It is fun and not just a "find this thing" but adds quests and collections. The friends aspect gives a different idea too. You can gather friends who can help by gifting items or helping with quests.

Enjoyable but can be expensive. I am enjoying this game and can see how people get addicted to gaming and for that matter, gambling. I can understand there being in-app purchases but they are extremely expensive for what you get and I found myself spending way more than I should have. I am now more judicious about how much I buy. I think that it should be about 1/10th the price! Also, I play on both my computer and iPad, which means I have 2 separate IDs as the game does not sync between them. Lastly, I have a problem with the iPad version where the Joy Cafe shows boxes instead of pieces of the picture, and the game crashes if I try to open it. I have written to G5 about it, but no fix as yet - and that was 6-8 weeks ago.

Need my daily fix. I’ve been playing for four years and visit first thing in the morning and last thing at night. I can forget about all the other things that have been happening and just play.

Great game!. I love playing this game...I’m 69 and enjoy keeping my mind as sharp as possible 😊. I love the variety this game offers...mind you I don’t like the crashed plane game, creepy! I’m nearly on level 100 and have never bought anything...sorry guys 😢...but thanks for a great game!

Too Many Crashes. Have not been able to play the new scene yet as the game crashes every time I open it. Have been playing this game for years, but have almost had enough!! My Wishlist has not refreshed for over 5 months and they don't seem to be able to fix it, and now I can't play the latest update - very frustrating.

Random shut downs?. I’ve been playing for over a year and lately there have been random shut down of the game. This has cost valuable points in my game . Another issue is not getting anything when you explore an area. I feel no matter what there should always be a small reward for playing that particular game. Not a “ sorry you didn’t win anything this time” I like the game but feel it has been more frustrating lately due to the random shutdowns.... at least a dozen times.

Waiting for event to download. So I have been waiting 2 days for latest event to download on iPad and still nothing. My internet speed and connection is strong. I have the latest version of the game and also latest iOS. Never has this issue in the past. Not sure what is going on?

BEST GAME EVER!!. Love this game!! So addictive.... Beautiful pictures to explore, not too hard to level up, don't need real money to have a good go at it, objects not too hard to find, ample energy for exploring pictures and much more! I seriously recommend downloading this all out fun game :)

Really addictive, only a few small issues. Issues: the gems fall waaaaaaay too slow in gem match, you waste a lot of precious seconds when the gem match board is stuck in a sequence of falling, auto-matching, falling again etc. would be great to speed that animation up. 2nd gripe is that night mode is far too often and always 2-3 times in a row. It is BY FAR the least fun mode as you’re just dragging your finger around the screen, no actual and enjoyable searching, so I’d love to see fewer cycles of night mode on the pictures. Otherwise very addicting and I’ve been playing for 3+ years!

Crashed again. Cannot access the game because it says there is a new update to download and the just takes you on a merry go round and I’ll it grant access to the game

Glitch in New Games. New games have a technical issue. When playing them, they slow down a lot! So takes me 3 times as long to play them. Has been happening the last 5 or more New Games. No problem with others. There’s plenty of room on my iPad. The App itself is not slow just the New Game added. It is slow when playing the game every now and then until a New Game is added.

Timer runs to fast at the end. I do not believe that the timer is done in normal seconds when it gets close to the end. I also think items come up in places where you have already looked for them. I also believe that there is not enough time given for some of the tasks. And it seems that items are hidden in such a way that you can not find them. The game is more relaxing than Hidden City.

Secret Society. Love this game and have been an addict for ages but suddenly I am getting an ad after each level. They are totally annoying😬 would like the ability in collections to search by tool/item I am trying to acquire eg. dinner or lantern etc Would like this to be compatible with iPhone X so I can get it full screen again

Pretty awesome!!. Edited to add that I have now reinstalled on a new device and have to start all over again :( but that’s okay as the game is okay. Fun. I have been playing the game for a while and recently upgraded my iPhone, I’ve had to restart the game from the beginning. Is there a way to be able to use different devices and be at the same level. I enjoy the game but not wanting to have to start again.

Game review. Love this game and have been playing for quite some years, I was starting to get disillusioned when the pieces were getting so small I couldn’t see them. It takes me so long to finish the special gem with one time going down to the last hour of the event as I only get 2 at a time, and I didn’t think I was going to get the whole 16 items to finish the last quest but I’m addicted.

Seeker's Notes.. I played this game a couple of years ago and recently returned to play again There many more photos to unlock from what I remember which is an awesome addition. One drawn back I find annoying is that when playing the 'Gem scene' I can move any goes until all other gems have stopped moving this wastes valuable time because I have to wait! Any chance this anomaly can be rectified? All in all a good and interesting game to keep a player entertained.

Addictive. Used to play this a couple of years ago and loved all the scenes and levels, engaging friends to help you with your collections. just got in to it again today. Only thing new I don’t like is it forces you to use some of your own tools as it’s sort of shows you what to do. Still great fun

Secret society. My go to everyday. I have managed to get to higher levels and find it very rewarding. Even have a sister who now plays the game. We enjoy comparing where each of us has proceeded to over the day. Such a relaxing and fun game. Enjoy all the new events Keep up the great work

I like it. Been playing this and other Secret Society games for 4 or 5 years and I like them as I am not a True Gamer only a house wife and mother I find that it’s great because I can have a play put it down change a nappy or mop a floor and when I pick it up again I find the points are back up and I can play again. I have bought crystals once or twice but usually I only use the crystals,coins and energy I have earned. For me this collection of Hidden Object game is ok with me. Make some more.

Secret Society annoying drop down thingy. Can you please tell me how to turn off or get rid of the annoying drop down thingy that tells me all of my achievements and blocks me from seeing the top of my search pictures? REALLY ANNOYING

One of the best...but.... This is one of my most favourite hidden objects games ever (free ones), but since I’ve recently re-downloaded it on my new phone, it’s started to crash all the time. First, I couldn’t even open the game at all, but eventually after an update it opened. Now I have the problem that I can’t unlock some games, as it just shuts down. I’ve recently been able to unlock a few screens since the Halloween update, but not all. Which is annoying because I can’t get some items to complete collections, as well as not being able to complete objectives. I love these free hidden object games from G5, almost as much as the paid story line games, but it’s a bit upsetting that one of my all time favourites is starting to do this. It’s even doing it on my old phone that my daughter has. Please help!

Starting to get frustrating. After playing for a week and reaching level 22, I've found that the game is getting increasingly frustrating. Gem Match. The gems fall ever so slowly and before I know it, I've run out of time. It looks like I'm not the only one who agrees, so perhaps you should increase the speed at which they fall. Ads. I understand that the video advertisements you insert frequently are for your own games. However, seeing the same ads over and over again and having to wait seven seconds until finally closing them annoys me greatly. My mother has just started playing too and she thinks they are placed inconveniently - ending up in the App Store as a result of tapping on them rather than the “Well Done” pop up. Either decrease their length and frequency, warn us before they appear with a timer or drop them altogether in favour of a less aggressive means of encouraging us to play your other games. Drop rates. The ‘Ouija board’ quest in the Throne Room had taken me approximately 15 attempts. My mother has attempted more times than that and still hasn't found it. She is level 18. I do not have this worry, but my mother finds locating the Badges of the Order difficult. Besides that, the game is enjoyable and the art superb. I also love how generous it is whenever you earn an achievement and the ease of locating energy boosters.

Not Working again!. With the latest Christmas update (Dec 2018) there is yet another glitch. The game appears unable to download which means that one cannot play at all. This is becoming a very tiresome game to play with the continual glitches that seem to accompany so many of the updates.

Videotron users.. Those of you who are having trouble with the game crashing even before opening, is your internet provider Videotron?? That seems to be my problem. I have taken my ipad to a friends house who uses Bell as a provider and my game works, then I come back home ( Videotron) and I can not open it and play. Let us fustrated user know here in answering this post and maybe then we can try to find an answer to this problem by letting the app developer know what might be the problem. Hope to hear from all of the fustrated players out there soon.

Way too many ads which interrupts game. I was really angered today that after I would play three pictures there would be an ad. I noticed it right away and after playing it for a while I was tired of the frequent interruptions in the game. You may not notice it but when using a talesman there is a time frame on it. The interruptions take away that time for playing the game and after a while a person stops using them because of the wasted time from the ads. When are you going to get it that I hate ads! You don’t seem to really care how the players feel about this. It seems that all you care about is your pocket book. I just want to play the game without interruptions. Can that be too much to ask?

Horrible update Oct 2017. My last review titled “Horrible update Oct 2017” included the sentence “no more MANDATORY updates!” Clearly the developers are not listening!! Having enjoyed playing this game, one of only two I play regularly, since around 2012, I’ve seen a lot of updates but the ones for the last couple years are awful. Some pictures contain too many items, making searching annoying, and the needed search items’ pictures change each time; even in “pairs” the 2 items will look different. The game has also started jumping to offers of other games from the same company and going straight to the App store, even with wifi turned off. If I wanted other games, I’d look for them. Cut it out! DEVELOPERS, PLEASE READ PEOPLE’S COMMENTS! NO MORE MANDATORY UPDATES REQUIRED TO KEEP PLAYING. Stop changing the puzzle’s required item shapes. Do not jump to App store automatically.

I hope Apple is reading this review. I'm tired of being screwed by this game.. I deleted this game. I'm tired of being ripped off. I'm tired I have played this game too long and waisted too much money on this game. It's not worth it anymore. Apparently they like having dissatisfied players and give a crap. Since the latest update every time I close the game ...... 1. They started a new day at 6pm everyday. I start my game at 1230am almost everyday the time the new day is supposed to start. 2. When I close the game, the time stops on everything. Then, when I reopen the game the time resumes from when and where I closed it. Example: the time that energizes the energy stops when I close the game. I closed the game energized at 11, when I reopened the game 6 hours later the energy wasted still at 11 then resumed from there. Same thing with the talismans and the when I visit friends. This game is not only expensive but tired of the drama. I hope Apple is reading this review. I play this game because it's addictive. These people don't really care if there game has major flaws in it. They only care about the players especially since it's supposed to be free and yet we still have to pay for stuff and even that stuff isn't cheap. Yet they don't mind taking our money and ripping us off at the same time. I am a player who wants to play. I use to love now I would rather delete it and not recommend it to anyone

My favorite. This game is my favorite game by far! I Love it!!! My only dislikes are my gift box is way to small and always overflows. If you have a thousand friends and your gift box only holds 100 gifts you end up losing a lot of your gifts. The amount of collection gifts you are allowed to give away could also be higher, but I do like the requests feature. I also think that there should be an easier way to find collection items rather than having to scroll through endless items! I hate that G5 sends out invites in my name. This irritates my friends and has deterred me from playing any other of their games. But…G5 listens and keeps their word, so I am sure that these things will eventually be updated!!!

Idea for match 3 - Gem Match. I love this game! What I don’t like is that it seems like it gets expensive to continue on. I rarely get back to older rooms to advance them to at least Academian level or higher. I also wish it was easier to advance experience to open rooms that I missed out on the event for. It also seems wrong that some “rewards” are collected in the 10’s or hundreds, and I can’t see what I can do with them except accumulate them en masse. I’m sure this has already been considered and discarded, but in case it hasn’t, I have an idea for a new reward or hint for the gem match game. Maybe a “swap” option, moving 2 gems to allow the player to create a match 3? Just an idea. I’ve used it in other match 3 games, and I do like it. Thanks! Ann

Clock issues. This game is challenging - sometimes TOO challenging but my major complaint is the “clock”. Sometimes my 24 hour talisman lasts nearly 8 hours beyond the 24 (which, honestly, I don’t mind) but sometimes my 24 hours have ended after less than 8. If I put my iPad down and it goes to “sleep” the game clock is totally a mess. I have yet to figure out which circumstance makes it gain or lose time but I wish it would just count 24 hours as 24 hours. It’s very frustrating. The only time it is consistently reliable is when I play it all weekend...but even then it messes up when I go to sleep. It does seem that every “fix” makes new issues apparent. Still, it’s fun to play - thus the 4 stars.

Less is More. I like the variety of the game, but the dark shadow palette makes it difficult to locate items in many of the puzzles, even with the contrast in settings set at the greatest level. I think that the monthly challenges have begun to be redundant. The jigsaw puzzle requirements of hitting pieces multiple times to rotate them is a frustrating waste of time, especially when the puzzle picture is challenging. Overall the games within the Secret Society are fun enough to keep one coming back to play. The graphics are quite interesting just to look at. I’m a reader, but the diary part of the game takes up space in my opinion, and doesn’t help with completing the puzzles, which is the point of these types of games. Less downloads would be appreciated by this player.

I want my tools back, as well as money, and energy. I played many pictures to collect enough bells to play christmas bazaar, when i went to search christmas bazaar the game closed and i lost my bells and my life to play 3 times, i want my tools refunded. I like the game, it is a real challenge, but i don’t like losing all of my lives and tools i used to collect the bells. It happened again 2 more times. I paid for tools that was a waste of money. I used multiple energy rewards. Spent many hours building up my bells to play christmas bazaar, when i clicked on the search the app closed. Please refund my money, my money, my diamonds and my lives. It happened again. Please refund what I have lost so I can finished the christmas challenge. This is first time I have spent real money on a challenge it will be the last. It is a real rip off. It just happened again. It takes me multiple energy resources in my inventory to earn 25 bells, click on christmas bazaar app closes. I have one day to complete quest. I am not spending more real money on tools, energy supplies or anything. PLEASE give me back my energy, tools and bells. Right now. I am not happy it takes so long to get an item in the quest. Even more not happy with wasting all of my items listed above.

Finally!. I have loved this game for years. For more than a year, I have been barely hanging on for numerous reasons (plenty of reviews outline the problems). The Halloween quest this year got it right though, for the first time in a long time! Thank you G5 for bringing back beautiful pics that are challenging but not bc the items are so small you can’t see them. The new images are sharp again and we got two scenes this time. The most exciting thing about this quest is G5 brought back the FUN. The drop rate for items needed to investigate the new room is now based on the difficulty of the scenes you are searching. This is PERFECT. You still have to work to complete the challenges but it’s not depressingly impossible. I was able to thoroughly enjoy every part of the quest and not end up frustrated bc the goals were hopeless unless I wanted to spend upwards of $40. I have changed my rating from one star back to five. Please keep the drop rate formula in place, G5. I’m happy to have my favorite game back❤️

Enough already! No more special gem match!!. UPDATE: reduced to 1. No response from G5 re ridiculous small rewards and special gem match. Long-time players quitting left and right. Stop rolling out events on top of each other in a money-grab and fix existing issues!!!! I am reducing my rating to two! Go back to rotating puzzles. We have all had enough of gem match! I have played this game for several years and it was my favorite game. It is waaaay to hard to get rewards when you explore pictures. Even with several active amulets etc, the number of rewards has gone waaaaaay done. It takes forever to build up a collection or go for the high value rewards. Losing interest fast. The only thing keeping me coming back right now is the friends feature. Frustrated player PS the graphics are great. UPDATE #2:put the gift menus back or else add search function!!!

Dissatisfied and Dissaponted. I’m finally ready to review this game. I’ve played it off and on for a while now. But lately I dove right in and was enjoying it. I think the D word I’m really looking for that truly fits is disenchanted. This game has so many glitches. I can’t believe I’ve spent nearly $60 to $80 on this game to try to finish sections. But now I have seven collections that say they are ready to combine yet it does not let me combine them. I’ve spent lots of time on the special gemstone section looking for birds. When I ask to show hints to help me find the birds it continues to take me to the Tree puzzle and there are no birds pictured there. At any rate I’m over it. I wish I could get my money back for all the effort I put in trying to gather my collections that won’t gather. This is pretty much a rip off with your giant sales on items to help you that don’t actually help you. I’m so disappointed, dissatisfied and disenchanted.

Fun fun fun. I really enjoy the hunt in this game and I've been playing it a long time but it is now stuck (for lack of a better word). It no longer gives me friends to add unless I pay with 4 crystals and then when I add friends it doesn't give me the capability to add them into the game. So...many of the friends that I currently have are no longer playing and I'm unable to replace them. Also, when I sign in it welcomes me back from being away so long-so there is a misconnection there... The game does however take my crystals. This is kind of lame. I'm at level 133 and think I'm going to stop playing (buying crystals) because of these issues. Last but not least, even though I sign in every day I don't always get my free one for a full week of playing. Grrrrr...

The Secret Society. I would like to know how to get in touch with someone when my game is having problems. You have a envelope on the screen for people to contact you, and when you open it, there is no contact information at all. Only an advertisement for this game. My issue is regarding the amount of Brown Oval Animal Coins you are giving to the players of the Morph games. I get on an average of ONE coin every other MONTH. Please read that last sentence again. Yes, it is every OTHER MONTH. Is that what everyone else is receiving? Tonight I played 3 or 4 Morph games and have not gotten a single one. I pay a lot of money to play your games, I wish there was a better way to contact you! Thank you, Joan Halverson

Pretty fun game. Have been playing for over two years and enjoy this game. Wish you could accumulate crystals as rewards for playing in some scenarios. Also wish the top four games accumulated more then .1% each time you play, it takes forever to move up a level. Also why do you have to play 500 games to move up a level in match, blocks and pipes, that’s a bit much and you dont get any reward when you play. Also think you should earn an icon to give you the option of highlighting " not found" items when time runs out so you can become familiar with what some of the foreign items are.

Going downhill. I have played the game for years and really enjoyed it until the last couple of “improvements.” The developers have changed too much too quickly. Venice and Buddha Square are ruined. The morphing items can be challenging, but the pictures are too crowded now with many extraneous items. Pictures that used to be beautiful now are busy and crowded with sometimes silly items. The revised pictures still require the same number of “found” items but we are not given a break-in period to learn what the new items look like in their many morphs. Also the quests are sometimes impossible to finish. I’ve worked on one quest dozens of times and I still haven’t been able to complete it. What was once a pleasant and pretty diversion has become a stressful grind. I don’t know if I will continue playing.

Dark. This game is too dark. The hidden objects are almost impossible to see. On some screens, the shapes look nothing like the actual items. Some are hidden with only a few pixels showing. The tools are hard to earn. Games cost too much of energy, making playtime very short. Wasted my money on this one. This addition is much, much later than the first review above. I am still disappointed in this app. I log into the game daily to stack up the energy so I can play longer than five minutes. The gem match game is next to impossible to solve. After each move, you’re stuck until the auto play finishes, which is very slow. Other apps of this sort let you continue matching while the auto play finishes. I deleted this app once, then decided to give it a second chance. Still disappointed, dropped a star.

Secret Society. Don’t download this game I have played this game for years and I had over 1,000 friends now I only have around 60. And they are not the friends who I played with all of the time. The friends who gave me gifts and help I only have a couple of them the rest have disappeared. Even after telling you the problem you can’t or won’t do anything about it. I have had no written results one way or the other. I play several of these types of games. I am not putting money into a game where the company is more interested in making money but NOT doing anything to help keep the players. You have lost my faith in you doing what’s right. You just like to charge players over and over but we just keep waiting for you to change things to help us. The costs of playing this game is simply NOT WORTH IT. Save your money people go find another game that is not G5. It will be worth it.

Enjoyable yet challenging. Have played this game for a long time and still enjoy playing it! Many challenges, puzzles and a variety of quests keep it interesting and fun. To encourage more players, G5 should offer incentives such as an initial award of 50 crystals, etc. For established players, offer additional coins/crystals at new levels rather than a single crystal. Additionally, more usability for tokens, presently I can find no use for them and I have quite a few. Finally, a glossary for playing the game, identifying items and tips for better play. Thank you for the opportunity of reviewing and if you are interested in a good game, this is the one.

Secret Society. This game is fun, but it is not as well explained as Hidden City. There are some holes in the directions that leave me shaking my head. However, it is less expensive to play than HC which I love, but can no longer afford to play. I have one seeming insurmountable problem. I played these two games several years ago and just returned to try to play them again. Now, every it asks me for my email, I get red letters telling me that my email is already in use. Missing crystals. For some reason my. Crystals keep disappearing. 3 times when I hit 10 and just yesterday (I'm not sure) they disappear when I go from one screen to another. I've been plays for several years and I really disappointed, ready to quit this game. You work so hard to get them. Is anyone else having this problem. Thank you Done know where the friends button. I am not computer savvy like the young people. I'm going to check on a place. I hope it's there. November 18, 2021 Just lost 21 crystals. AGAIN! I was building up my points to play the feature. I am about ready to erase the game. I'm really mad!

Good but room for improvement.. I really love this game but honestly I HATE the match three puzzles in them. They don’t have anything to do with skill but rather luck, as the gems aren’t set. They are random and a never guaranteed win no matter what you do, versus the pipe, memory, and block puzzles always have a solution. So I have to knock a star off for that. The other trouble I have with this game is the terribly low chance that you will get one of your quest items from ANY of the puzzles and it doesn’t seem to increase terribly much with the talismans. I don’t know how many times I have done a picture or puzzle trying to get just ONE item. My tasks/quests are so many it’s hard to keep track of which picture or puzzle I should do next. I feel like there is something that could be done to fix both of these issues.

Great game. This is one of my favorite games and I have been playing it for years. At first it was hard to finish a picture or puzzle in the time but now that I I have collected a lot of helps it’s more fun. I have also not spent actual money getting the helps or extra tools, you can earn or collect them all over time. The graphics are amazing, the pictures are challenging, and I like that a picture from the very first changes over time with more objects. I also like the challenge of an item changing shape in some of the newer pictures, it adds variety. I hope this game continues to be updated for a long time!

Incredible!. Absolutely love this game! Have played this for the past two years and am still finding this fascinating! Finding all the items in this search game can be exciting yet frustrating but with all the scenes to explore I find it hard to stop. The game has changed some over time with great results. The only thing I can say that would help me when choosing others to help me would be to have the picture either dim or have a check to let me know that friends have already been selected. Then I wouldn’t have to visit each one to find out if I’ve used them in my searches. Does this make sense? Otherwise this is a game I will continue to play with my other friends. Thank you.

The gem match. I really love this game and been playing it a lot...however the gem match game bugs me a lot cuz u can’t move any other jets why the other gems are falling in place for example I can match a set of gems in the middle of the game board they clear and new ones fall into place well while they fall into place I see a move at the bottom of the board and I can’t move them until the new ones are in place some times the news ones could match by them selves and it could take up to 5-10 seconds before they stop so I can make my other move and then I run out of time before I make my last move so if they could change the then I would rate a five star rating

Sick of being held hostage.. Very sick and tired of not being able to move forward. Your gem match is a joke, I have spent too much money and coins to be able to complete one game. Degree of difficulty has nothing to do with it. I have spent over 20-30 gems just to finish a game. Not doing this anymore. I don’t have that kind of money. Also you seem to give thousands of fireflies, but no ladybugs or arrows. Carrots are everywhere. No arrows or ladybugs. I am really not sure if I will play anymore. Also, why no elements to complete a collection? All collection items. When you grant an elemental chest, there is no items that can help. I hope you take this to heart. I will try for one more week and then I am done. I do enjoy the game, when there are elements up for grabs, or needed items such as arrows or ladybugs.

Fun. Every month a new challenge is created to keep things interesting. Kind of addictive, so can end up wasting a lot of time. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? 😂 If you just want to play a good, solid search game, with some fun little side puzzles, and (mostly) good scenes, this is a nice one. The “mostly” refers to some scenes where you need pretty keen eyesight and good lighting to find stuff. I took the game off my phone for this reason. These are frustrating and not fun. Do pay attention to the friend aspect. There are some small bonuses for that. I’ve been playing for a long time. To the developers, check out the scene in the Japanese garden (lots of pink) and one on a waterfront with an old ship and a carriage. Sorry, can’t remember the names.

Ridiculously addicted to playing this but wish it was cheaper. The puzzles are an amazing variety and challenge but the prices are a bit outrageous! Let's face it you are asking us to pay for the intangible items that allow us to play this game. I would prefer a flat rate monthly subscription than the current prices for crystals and coins. Plus as much as you charge for them, we receive so paltry few in return when we level up. It might be a nice thing to add to the items we earn like energy, coins, and experience are. Moving my rating down due to continued bugs that don't allow for collection of gifts. It is frustrating trying to play a game only to have the app close constantly in the middle of actions. Update** giving this game another try hoping they fixed bugs in the last few years, but do not plan to spend money on it ever again, learning from past experience.

Not so fun anymore. I used to play this game, Secret Society, and another by G5 called Supernatural. Supernatural didn’t have anomalies, which I liked, and what I liked in this game is that the images were the same each time. In a particular picture, a glove always looked the same way. Then Supernatural gained anomalies and now this game is having the images changed to a variety of images within each picture. It is like the company is trying to make both games the same with all the things I like least. I quit Supernatural awhile back shortly after anomalies were added. In Secret Society, there are still a few pictures that haven’t been altered yet, like eastern bazaar and banquet room, and I like the gem puzzle, but as they continue turning this into game into Supernatural, I doubt I will play much longer.

Frustrating and expensive. I played this game once before and got so frustrated with it that I deleted it. Almost every other game(s) I’ve played give you the item promised when you finish the puzzle but this one does not. I dislike the night mode. The items are difficult enough to find without having to find them in a minuscule area. I like the graphics/pictures and some of the music but that does not compensate for the difficulty of the puzzles nor the lack of prizes. And don’t get me started on completing collections. So far I have had to purchase all the items needed to complete a collection. I play games to relax not spend my hard earned money and be frustrated cause I’m not awarded the prize or item I was investigating the photo for. Sorry but after I use the last of the crystals I bought I’m going to delete the game again.

Secret Society. I love the game it has it’s glitches and sometimes it’s mistakes but all in all I think I have found a pretty good game. I have about 6 auto immune diseases and I’m stuck in my bed all most 24/7 so this game helps me break up the borden for my bedroom .i have tried reading but to someone with Dyslexia it makes it boring!!iss I just stared up playing again because I was so sick I couldn’t play. So I play when I can. Sometimes I feel like now that you are not letting me play because I have not left a message for a long time. So I am leaving one hoping to be able to play again I am so bored just living in my bed and staring at the four walls or watching the same tv shows night after night. I need this to keep my mind off my pain. Please help me.

Need to improve energy regaining. The puzzles are fun and I like that the maximum energy increases every time you level up, but it just takes way too long for energy to fill up. Many of the puzzles I have to complete require 60+ energy and that takes over 2 hours to get, meaning I can complete 1 puzzle that takes less than 5 minutes once every 2 hours. This is ridiculous. At the point I am, my energy can’t fully recharge in 12 HOURS. You need to implement something like as you level up, you gain energy faster because players should not have to wait this long to play a game they have invested a lot of time in. I have playing this game for many years and have not seen any improvement with this issue.

Meh.... I like this game but... It takes WAY too long for energy to regenerate. If you’re working on pictures that require high energy, you can research 4-5 times, then that’s it for 24 hours (or more) unless you pay for energy boosters. And the higher you get in the game, the more energy you get but it doesn’t renew any faster, unless you pay for energy boosters. And, while I like a challenge, I despise being tricked, meaning if I am supposed to look for a dog sitting up, and the actual correct item is a dog lying down, I’m not happy. If the silhouette is a traditional croquet mallet and the correct item is something that looks like a hammer, I’m not happy. If the item says hours and I’m supposed to look for a clock, well, get the effing translation right. I realize this game is written by Russians but somehow I think that a Russian strawberry is red, as is an English, French, Italian or Japanese strawberry. Not the white strawberry shape that shows up. Challenge me by changing where you hide things, not what I’m expecting to look for. Developers of this game, you get a big fat F on consistency. You get an F for energy renewal. Not really sure I’ll play (or pay!) anymore

Finding objects. I do love this game and have been playing for years, but the collections are always the same. Some objects I have so many of and others I have been waiting for forever. Also, some of the pictures are blurry and it is hard to see the objects. The pictures should be sharper. I’ll continue to search…… I really do enjoy playing this game. Another thing is that if you do not play for a couple of days you lose your status. What’s the deal with that? My internet went down and I lost 5 days of play. Why? I hope you can give better objects for rewards instead of the same old, same old. Thank you

Fecking ridiculous. Update: now when I try to log in after the reminder of consecutive daily logins will expire, the app will not only not acknowledge my rewards and the daily bit, for more than 18 hours, it wants me to spend more coins to keep my place in the daily rewards program for the magic crystal. Also, no matter when the app sends me a badge/banner/notification that a specific reward is charged, when I go to collect, it’s not ready yet! I’ve got this app installed on two tablets. Tell me how one has the game loading properly and giving the daily/hourly rewards on time but the other (which has had same fecking game longer) won’t load as a new day, shows hourly rewards as 2+ hours away despite waiting 12 hours, etc. I’m starting to lean toward deleting on both tablets just because I have no desire to put up with this BS.

My Nightly Play. I play this game every night before turning out the lights. I know such habits affect sleeping patterns, but a "habit" it has become. This is really fun and addicting. There is only one disappointment. I am getting VERY tired of the interruptive game advertisements. It is set up to pause before you click OK on your game to move on, but then takes you into the app page to download the new game they advertise. If not that, then you have to wait until it runs its add. This started recently and is getting worse - very annoying. If I wanted to play or purchase the other games I would. Quit shoving them down my throat. Some are too immature anyway. I've made purchases on this game; I shouldn't be forced with so many other game adds!

Addictive in spite of some shortcomings.. This game has enough variety to appeal to various abilities. Some “magic pictures” I hate because for some reason I do not view the world that way or even with strong glasses these old eyes cannot find the objects. The puzzle games (to complete a picture or the specific game) are unfair because no matter how much I try the pieces will not turn. Therefore I cannot complete the puzzle in the allotted time. Grr. There is not enough energy allowed at a time to play a lot. Having to buy crystals is very limiting because I do not like to spend my valuable money on frivolous things like the ability to play a game. But that is my opinion, others don’t mind the expenditure or think of it as a cost to play a challenging game. And obviously I like the game as I keep playing it.

New Update. I’ve played this game intermittently for years—like four or five years or more. It was always pleasant to come back to its intriguing graphics, atmospheric music, and nested complex series of collections and rewards. I’ve stuck with it through updates that caused crashes, permanently lost my progress (from over 7000 pictures “explored” to zero over night without an actual failure), misplaced my friends list, because it was still fun, relaxing, and rewarding. It’s been going downhill—the new pictures have lost that odd “Series of Unfortunate Events” feel and are glitzier, cheaper-looking, more cluttered and less imaginative. The reworking of a few old scenes is not an improvement, as others have mentioned. The new update is horrible. The old friends menu was unwieldy—I’ve wanted to be able to send gifts from the same screen I receive them in forever—but this worse, uglier, does not have the feel of the game. It also is not currently working for me; it’s been telling me to send gifts tomorrow for 48 hours. What’s the difference between ‘’asking for help” and a wish list? Is there any way to clear that “news” column that’s already huge? And CHAT? I think NOT. Ugh! I have no deserve for a mini social platform in an introspective game. Oh, and the new scene is pretty ugly, too. Hate seeing my favorite little game die a slow death.

Great game. This is a great game. It really helps your awareness and reaction speed when reacting to any of the found objects. It is very addicting and hard to put down. The only downside I've found is although I have this game linked to my Facebook account, the game where I was well into the 50's on experience level. When I logged onto my account on my new Ipad with the same Facebook account it made me start a whole new game? Then when I went onto my old Kindle tablet and e-reader it had completely lost all of my previous game. This is a great game. But having to start all the way from the begging AGAIN has made me play it less and less. It's just taking to long to get to my previous progress within this game. I have deleted from all platforms except my Fire HD which is unfortunately 30 experience levels lower then my original game . But better then 5. Please, please fix.

Enjoyable but takes too much of EVERYTHING!. First let me say that I love this game! It’s amazingly fun & stimulating. The premise of it rocks. However! I do a few suggestions/requests. My 1st and most important request is let players buy crystals with the money they’ve earned! And it might be good to lower the prices to even get into a room by completing a puzzle. 100K to get into...say...palatial palace?That’s kinda steep. Also, maybe hold off on STARTING so many special tasks without finishing the first, second, third, etc. Also stop with the finishing a puzzle with NO rewards. I can understand a few, but NONE?!! Come on now. And for once and for all, please fix the friends glitch. Please & Thank you.

Addictive but frustrating. This game has a lot of depth. There are many challenges. Several things are frustrating, though. There are no instructions about how to play. I like the chat function and the ability to help other players is awesome. The recent change of making the gift box hold 100 items instead of 50 is a big improvement. Thank you G5. However……..lately there are so many invitations to other games supposedly sent from other players. I know by experience that these invitations are sent by G5. They interrupt and make it hard to continue playing the game. G5 , please stop this annoying advertising ploy!

Super glitchy but super fun otherwise.. I love this game but sadly it has a lot of unfortunate glitches. I have a challenge that wants me to complete 50 puzzles In a row without failing, and every time I fail a game, it asks me “are you sure you want to lose your progress? -/50” and no matter how long it’s been since I failed a game last wether I just failed the previous game or I can’t remember the last time I failed a game, it just throws out a random number out of fifty. Like even if I fail 2 games in a row, the first time will say 16/50 or something of the sort and the second one will say 42/50 ??? Like if I just lost the previous game obviously my progress is zero not fourty two. So I have never passed the challenge. Another glitch is I played last night and left the game with 11 energy. I went to go play again now, 14 hours later, and I only have sixty energy. So thanks for that.

Awful Update. Hate the Friends dashboard, not enough info anymore: Have to visit friends to know which skill they have (eg. sage, merchant). Have to visit to hire. Have to visit to know if we’ve already visited or hired. List re-orders itself so we have to keep track of who we’ve visited or hired, or we waste time looking for a new hire. CRASHES: Crashes every time I try to visit certain friends. Crashes randomly when trying to visit pictures. Would like a repeat opportunity to earn event goodies (eg. aerostat or other things on/above the desktop) Haven’t received any gifts from friends since I updated. Suspect a bug since my friends were usually generous. I like all the new photos to explore, but disappointed in the problems.

Good but frustrating. Not sure if this is a design problem or not but I was looking for the star balloon in one of the rooms, played for over an hour with A diamond horseshoe talisman which guarantees 90% chance of finding things in the game and did not find the item I was looking for. Statistically that didn’t make sense. Really think there is an issue with the design algorithm. If you follow through on a collection to completion you can generally find all the items. However if the collection languishes for a while it seems impossible to come back to it and finish collecting all components. Not good and very, very frustrating which is why I’ve rated the game an overall 3 stars. For the designers-please check into this issue!

Gem Match Games. Please stop using foreign words in your puzzles. It is not fun. I have stopped doing “InspirationPlace,” “Chinese Teahouse” and “Japanese Shrine.” I use this game to help my memory. The different language is not fun and makes me feel stupid. Please stop. I have been playing this game for years. Over the years I have watched your company get more and more greedy. At the beginning the collections were easier to get. They didn’t require 35 items like some of them do now. If I want to move the game along, you need to spend more and more money. The gem match games are ridiculously slow. In order to complete a game, you need to purchase and use tools. Earning the tools is next to impossible sometimes. I understand that you need to make money and you deserve it. The game has beautiful graphics and is usually fun. Sometimes, people can’t afford to play the way you have it set up. Thank you!

Support is a joke. They still haven't fixed a problem from back in Dec 2018. They keep asking for the same info over and over, then ignore the issue. Their so-called improvements now prevent you from seeing your inventory of gifts. So if you want to send a gift to a friend, you have no idea how many you have in stock. Pretty much means I stopped giving gifts. And now you have to "visit" a friend to hire them, which adds useless time to the game. Pathetic. They also have grammatical errors that they refuse to fix. E.g., “women’s hat” or “women’s shoe”. Apparently they cannot grasp the concept between ONE woman and MULTIPLE women. It’s a womAn’s hat or shoe. One hat or one shoe does not belong to multiple women. Suggestions go in one ear and out the other. Why do they not show how many items you have in your inventory? They deliberately make things harder than they need to be.

Great Fun but Frustrating. I started playing this game quite a while ago. When I purchased a new iPad I lost more than 50% of my collections and my level was bumped back from 157 to 63. I had made several in app purchases for this game prior to switching iPads and I feel as though I lost all of the benefit of the purchases I made. It is also frustrating that it takes so long to move ahead without making purchases. I am very reluctant to make any purchases because I do not feel the benefits are that rewarding. However, with that said, it is a fantastically fun game.

Current version is unplayable. I'm on level 161, so I've been playing for a while. This current version is unplayable. I'm sure they'll eventually fix it, but until then it's not worth your time. Pros - challenging hidden object puzzles - new hidden object scenes added frequently Cons - current version crashes constantly - current version isn't allowing visits to friends - current version isn't allowing gifts to be given or received - every version - takes too long for power to restore. Edit: I returned to this game after being away for years. MANY of the puzzles I had unlocked were locked again. My level dropped to 30-something. I’m now up to 52 after playing for a couple weeks. It used to be a lot of fun. Now it seems like they just want your money. Who wants to click on an object 3 or 4 times before the game recognizes it. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Game is fun but........ I enjoy this game. I was at a high level and deleted the game, but came back a year later and had to start all over. I was able to keep my friends though, which was nice. The problem I have with the game is that there is only 1 African American female and male avatar. There are tons for available if you’re White or light ethnicities. So disappointing that after years of playing this game there’s still only one face to choose from, while if you’re white or light, you can have long hair, short hair, dark hair light hair, all different kinds of looks, but if you’re black, you get one look and that’s it. Perhaps there is an assumption that all black people look the same? Or perhaps we don’t deserve options? I’ll never spend another cent on this app. I will continue to play though.

Beautiful but....... My husband has been playing this for years and loves it! He’s at level 134. I played a couple of years ago and enjoyed it as well. My only complaint is that because of space it took up I had to delete it. Now with a new iPad I reloaded it. I was at level 52 and it does not let you recover where you were at. Normally that would not be an issue but when you are putting a lot of money into the game you would like to get back exactly where you were. I tried sending a message to the makers but never heard back. Just know there is a lot of times you pay to get extras on here. And if your ok with that this it is a great game to just forget your day. But it can be all lost if you delete it.

Honey or Vinegar. My mother always told me that you can attract more flies with honey than vinegar. In other words, be kind to others and you’ll receive the same. In most times this is true in my experiences with people who work in customer service. But that has not been the case with G5. I’ve written so many, many, many times to their customer service and as of yet, NONE of my requests have been answered or any of the issues I’ve pointed, have been fixed. Just now, the app shut down suddenly. And I lost so many things, but to name a few, I lost: 1- Energy points 2- Experience points 3- Two collection items required to complete a mission (I worked very hard to get them) 4- Progress made in at least six “pictures “ that I wanted to upgrade to the next level 5- My patience and love for the game 6- My respect in G5’s customer service Not to mention, that my Friendship counter has been frozen for more than a year. I have to ask, do their employees play this game? And the only answer I can think of is NO. Because if they did, they would know how much time, effort and even money it takes to play this game (I’m at level 506) and they should appreciate that level of commitment by responding to game issues. This is the first negative review I’ve written in my life. I’ve always believed that if you don’t have something nice to say, than its better to say nothing. But I’ve just about had it with G5. I will never support any of their games again.
