Lost hundreds of dollars. I use to love this app. I purchased hundreds is songs before they went to subscription service. Ever time they upgrade I lost all my songs. I was told to “restore purchases” the first time and I got back most of my purchase but there were still a lot missing. This last time I was asked for receipts for songs I purchased years ago. Who keeps receipts that long? I understand move to subscription due to licensing but not to lose what I paid for. 4 Chords should keep that record.

Lovin’ it. The interface on this is awesome. Bravo! I’ve had it for over a year, and I love the new song uploads. Others are commenting on how well I’m playing.

Best guitar learning app I’ve found!. I have severe adult adhd but I’m able to focus to learn to keep in time finally!

At first I was like what’s this I can’t keep up with the chords but later after practicing I found it got easier and easier I hope to start singing along while playing the guitar with the tracks lots of good choices too ain’t even a song suggestion my rating is superb now if I could just master yousician Well it’s been several months since I subscribed I haven’t used as much but I wish you could make a bass guitar program.

Great way to practice piano chords. Try to practice cord progression that meet your needs and your own speed and style. The bpm’s can match your rhythm machine and visa versa. 4 chords will handle the melody so it’s pretty much like your own band rehearsal. It world be nice if four chords had a melody tutorial section so advanced players could make the effort to learn the chords and melody simultaneously. Hopefully in the near future.

Best app ever!!!. I'm using it to learn both guitar and piano, basically you can turn off either one on the app to play along and it lists the chords you need to know for each song and the beats keep me moving along at the proper pace. Tons of modern popular songs which was always the turn off to prior archaic learning! I cant say enough good things about this app!

The best, but…. Is it worth the $30 a year? My answer is yes, because I love the songs in there. It reminds me to pick up my Martin more often than I do and I can solidly pick three or four songs to constantly play to the point I can actually do well. If you aren’t jamming these songs and you have a dusty guitar in your house worth more than $30 you should have this app. At the least, for one sing-along a year with friends it pays for itself. Losing my religion, House of the rising Sun & anything CCR.

I'm enjoying this. It's easy to use - especially with the jamstikPlus, and I like the range of music. I particularly liked the links to videos for some of those tricky chord and transitions. That helped me a lot initially. I know this is 4 *chords*, but the only thing missing is some exploration of fingerpicking - that would definitely make me maintain my subscription.

Definitely got me to play quicker. I think this is fantastic playing and singing songs in no time! Have noticed a few hiccups and beat not keeping up at times fix them and 5 star all day long thank you

So rewarding to jump in and play. I learned violin growing up the hard way and this was the total opposite - just jump in and learn a few chords and already play some of my favorite songs. This is my favorite app to blow off steam and take a break from analytical work. I’ve been subscribing to it on and off for years now to just enjoy making music and relaxing a bit with my favorite songs. Thank you for making this app! PS Please bring back my favorite feature (now gone?) “similar songs” that really helped me discover songs I could play and enjoy and motivated me to learn more chords.

This app is what I needed 55 years ago!. I started with guitar with the books that had you stick colored things on your fingernails and match them up to play silly made up teaching songs. Total failure. Over the next 40 years, I tried numerous times with series of bad guitars and worse books. You tube was a little bit better, but carpal tunnel, ripped rotator cuffs and tennis elbow made for misery. I gave up and gave away my guitars. Got the badness fixed. Enjoyed Rock Band on the Wi and said let’s try again. Found Justin Guitar and that led me to this app. What fun! And finally found music coming from my hands!

4chords. I’ve been taking your beginner course and jumping ahead on 4 chords. All I can say is wow !!! Justin you are amazing, I’ve progressed more in the last three weeks than I have in two years without you lessons. Best value. As a beginner learning to play guitar later in life, this App has helped me progress very rapidly to where I want to be. Without this App I would have stopped learning within months (when fingers became too painful) but following songs on the App even when using simple down strums only and recognizing the song you’re learning was a great incentive to keep ploughing on. Worth every penny!

Fantastic learning tool. I’m about 5 weeks into learning guitar - someone taught me several chords but I needed more structured lessons. This app has be very helpful to learn how to play songs. There is a weird glitch that happens frequently for me where I can practice one song just fine but if I go to another song, the app will open the song, give the countdown to play, but there is no sound and the song doesn’t progress. Overall the app is still good, and I would give 5 stars if that one blip were fixed!

Great App. UPDATE The developers fixed the issues a few months ago and I forgot to update my review. This is an amazing app. If you are learning to play the guitar this is a great song book for beginners. You will enjoy practicing and learning at the same time. Old review: This app deserves 5 stars but the latest update now causes it to crash constantly rendering it unusable. If it weren’t such a good app I would have given it one star. But I’m confident that Musopia will resolve this issue and I will change it to 5 stars.

Love this app. This app has taught me to play. I’ve recommended it to several friends and family members and each one loves playing along with the songs.

Karaoki guitar. It’s a great learning and practice app. I'm a returning guitar player after a very long hiatus and it’s fun just to play along with. I use it on the iPad with an acoustic guitar at home and with a JamStik and iPad and headphones while traveling, even on an airplane. App support has been great because I didn’t realize how simple it was and tried to over-complicate it. And they continue to add more songs—lots I’ve never heard and a lot of oldies for me! Plenty of selection!

Great resource. I use this app in my classroom, and it is incredible. My students love rocking out to songs they know. I do wish there was a way to sort songs by chords that are used. It takes too much time to find sit and search for songs using specific chords. Other than that, this is a great tool!

Well Done, Easy to Read. Great app for any guitarist or serious beginner guitarist. Nothing better than an app that's going to help you learn songs - one of the important principles to learning to play the guitar or just to keep your chops up with fresh material.

Real life guitar hero. So many chord and tab sights are hard to read and know how many beats for each chord. If you’re learning both the words and the music it can be almost impossible. The back tracks with melodies make learning and playing so much more enjoyable. Keep adding more songs please. Also lead options would be awesome.

Makes practicing and playing more fun. As a beginner, this apps makes learning new songs fun. I highly recommend it for beginners and maybe intermediate players. It’s easier to learn the song with the beat and melody going with you. Worth the money to me. Update. It’s been a year since last update. Still using and liking the app but have some improvements it needs. The major one is editing the play list. Adding and removing is all good but you have to move each song line by line to change the order. I.E. if I add a new song, it’s at the bottom of playlist. If your list is 40 songs long, and you want it at the top, you have to hit the move button 40 times. 2nd update. 2 years since the last update. It’s looking like what you see is all they’ll be. Still liking and using the app but it could be so much more. 3rd update. Still no app updates or bug fixes. It’s been several months since they’ve added any new songs and customer support has quit responding. Looks like they are abandoning it. I won’t be renewing my subscription

Great App to Play along. Love this app. Lear a few chords, a few strumming patterns and strum along to hundreds of fun songs. Makes even a beginner sound good. Guitar karaoke!

Great app. Wonderful app! I’ve been using it for several years and it keeps me very busy always working on songs I actually really want to play! I’ve been playing for many years so just following along (I turn the volume on the app down all the way) and just play and learn new songs on my playlist (about 800 songs I have on my playlist) so I never get bored with what I’m playing. The chord boxes let you know what chords to play and the lyrics are included. You can slow songs down as you are learning them and increase the tempo as you become more comfortable! You are able, on some songs, to transpose to a different key, which I love for singing in a key in my range! It also has a tuner and lots of videos for beginners as well as strumming patterns with each song. I highly recommend this app for anyone, beginner to advanced players!

This is an awesome app. For someone who has only been playing guitar for six months, this app, coupled with The Justin Guitar app, has taught me a huge amount. I can play about 15 or so cords and have learned about dozen strumming patterns. While it might not be an app for accomplished players (I don’t really know) this is precisely what a less accomplished player needs. It is super important to be able to have fun while learning and the Hal Leonard traditional method wasn’t for me an adult. This app makes it fun to learn and to practice. Just a great idea and so worth the money! This is a must get app for anyone serious about improving. I love it! I’m 56, and have a Martin D-28, a Art & Luther Cedar, a Fender PM-TE travel guitar and a Fender Tele. This app has given me the gift of being able to play respectfully within a few short months and I look forward to learning more from it. Can’t want enough good things about it.

Got a new phone. After paying for I year of pro.. I paid for pro version a few months ago I recently got a new iPhone, and it says I have to buy it again. I’ve requested help, sent multiple emails in the past month with no reply whatsoever this company does not stand by their app.

Last Update Leaves me Hanging. Used this app every Day until latest update ... Not compatible with my device. Can't afford new device, so I'm cancelling

Makes me want to practice. I’m picking up the guitar later in life and being able to play along w songs I know and love is a great motivator. Support team is responsive (had a set up problem that they solved quickly) and app is easy to use. W over 2,000 songs to choose from, it’s been easy finding more than I have time to play.

Great way to learn guitar. Update: app goes into “updating songs“ mode multiple times per day. Usually in the middle of a song. Often it takes 3-5 minutes. Is really irritating. Getting the strong sense app is doing much more than “updating songs”. App only allows you to create 1 playlist. Rearranging songs in that 1 playlist is a haste the larger it gets. App is good for a true beginner but you’ll want to migrate to other apps that offer more flexibility and options soon. I love this app. There isn’t a better way to learn. I’ve been using if for about a month but it recently started acting buggy. Seems to hiccup a bit ( not when I’m receiving email or text). Also, stats for number of songs played doesn’t count properly. Closing and opening program doesn’t ‘reset’ it and only sometimes does turning the iPad off/on work. Lastly, noticed that the score for some songs show a chord that isn’t even in the song and docks you 200 points for not playing it. Please fix the bugs - then it is a 5 star app.

This app crashes on older IPads.. I have used and enjoyed this app for almost two years. Now it however crashes and is not useable on my first generation I Pad and my older I Pad mini. It used to run fine on them. I was told that recent enhancements such as tracking {no use for that at all} made this happen. I do have an I Pad pro now that it runs fine on but I prefer to use it as a midi controller using Sample Tank etc. and not have to tie it up running the 4 chord app. If you have an older Apple device this app will not work well. This is a known problem for them but they have not made it a priority to fix it.

Doesn’t work with jamstik!!!!. I bought a jamstik+ for my kids to learn how to play the guitar because they get frustrated with me teaching them. The ENTIRE reason I bought the jamstik was to use this app! The demo worked perfectly but the second I paid the $37 for a yearly subscription it stopped working. To make matters worse apple refuses to refund my purchase. If you’re looking to use this with jamstik it is NOT supported.

Wow!. I love it! Absolutely love it! It makes me want to practice right now while my family is asleep! The songs and lyrics and chords are easy to understand. One of my favorites is “Eye of the Tiger”, but I also like The Weeknd’s “I feel it coming” rendition. Wonderful app! Thank you!

Put the time and you will Shine. I am basically lazy. But when I put forth the effort, I can play. Don’t think you can’t do it because you can.

Great way to learn simple versions of songs but ..... With the new update I lost full access to all but a few of the songs that I’ve previously had access to for years. I believe I probably paid at some point to access the songs that I am now unable to access because of the update. If I remember correctly, I was a VIP customer before the update. Update: The software developer responded immediately and brought me up to speed on my status. My subscription had lapsed, so losing access was a “bad” on my part for not renewing. It was just a coincidence that an application update occurred at about the same time that my subscription expired. I owe Musopia an apology and have correspondingly adjusted the star rating upward by two stars. The app is very good for learning strumming patterns, chords, chord changes, etc. I particularly like that the tempo of songs can be adjusted faster or slower as you are learning. Also, the catalog of songs available is very large. Some talented people have put a lot of work into developing this application. Well worth renewing my qsubscription. Thank you.

Beginner has learned a lot. Has selection for rhythm parameters with an excellent how-to for chord construction and strumming. New songs added that provide chord and strumming variations across the group of songs. Also songs have lyrics if you’re talented enough to play and sing (I am not, at least for right now). So far I his app has provided me with a platform to learn, the play and practice songs using basic chords, adjusting tempo and backing up to replay a section as needed. I like that it can be done with just a touch or swipe of my finger on the screen. From the library of songs available I’ve built my own playlist of songs for learning and practice. As new songs are posted it’s easy to add them or later delete from the playlist. As someone who previously had not spent a lot of time with an acoustic guitar, I find this app useful and worth the money. What I haven’t tried yet is setting up a progress sharing account (mic on you device set to On) so I could receive “a more tailored user experience, song recommendations and playing tips”. Wanted to get my basics first so may try it, now that I’m more comfortable with my playing ability.

Very Good App for Beginner. I was surprise when I see this app, first I download it in my Apple TV but later I look at my iPhone since I can take my phone and my guitar anywhere. I love it. Please keep adding more song but there’s already lots of something I can learn to play. Thanks for making this Guitar Karaoke.

Great Value!. After spending hundreds on private lessons I stumbled on Four Chords. This is without a doubt the best beginners resource available. Worth the very reasonable price! They're adding new songs almost daily, and it's really a lot of fun to play and practice. I don't dread the hours spent practicing anymore. Try this app you won't be disappointed. The chord recognition piece doesn't work very well, but even without it it's still a very well thought out solution to learning chords and transitions. You will learn chords faster and better using this app, and as a bonus, you'll have a lot of fun too!

Fun App but Glitchy. You can look at the other reviews for what is likable about the app, so I won’t duplicate those praises. The biggest problem with this app is that it glitches on a regular basis. One of the most important thing as a beginner needs to work on is their timing. But this Apple often mess up on the downbeat advancing about a half a bar which will totally messed with your time. This is very frustrating and should easily be fixed by the developers. The other major shortcoming is trying to figure out strumming patterns that go with songs. You can easily start to think that you’re a better player than you really are because of the backing tracks. The interface is pretty sluggish changing from one Menya to another. Also the songs should remember what tempo you’ve been playing out. So for example knocking on heavens door is 74 BPM, but if you’re learning it at 59 BPM, the app won’t save what speed you’re trying to master. It resets to 74 ppm every time. Likewise there’s no tracking of your progress at any particular BPM. That would be a super simple feature to implement. There’s a microphone icon which I guess is supposed to allow you to record, but it doesn’t work.

Learn to play. This is the best app ever I have learned happy birthday and I’m playing it to my mom this app is so cool definitely recommend I learned happy birthday in like 4days so happy😆😁😄😃😀wow so great

Love this app but it stutters badly when combined with airplay. During the covid-19 lockdown i am playing guitar with my daughter using 4 chords and it is awesome! Sadly, we are using airplay to cast to a TV, the better to see it, and this causes all kinds if havoc - tv and app often not synching, stuttering, etc. 5 stars if you fix this behavior.

Love this app. Makes playing and singing together fun for beginners. Just hook to a tv or projector and instant hours of fun for families, parties, youth groups etc who just want to have a good time sounding good together with songs they love.

Good songs, app a little buggy sometimes, ver 3.2.0 locks up on iOS. Have enjoyed this app for the most part up until recently. Sometimes the app speeds up, slows down, or skips. The last update has left the app useless, upon opening it freezes at initializing song list.

Love playing along. Wish the starting countdown was consistent. Most songs start with no opportunity to get ready so you miss the first few beats.

Great app. I’ve been flirting with a guitar for 20 years. Never really was any good at learning how to actually play a song all the way through. Since upgrade app is slow. I've had this app for around a year and loved it, did the upgrade days ago and it has just about made the app unusable, it still has the jumping problem it had before but now it's just about impossible to download new songs as it take forever. Tried to play songs off the playlist today and even thou it counted into the new song and put it up on the screen it was the track of the last one that played.

Nice. I think this app is very nice, it's worth downloading it and it's really nice to have good songs in it but the 'One Thing' I don't like about it is that you have to pay for the good songs ^^^(Get the Joke?) I really recommend making some of the paid songs being earnt to actually attract more people to play this but overall it was pretty good I learn some new chords like A minor, I'm just a beginner but I definitely know D. It's nice to have people reply to the feedback or song requests really quick that shows that the creator of this app, uses the ideas of users of this app. -Anthony Le

What’s going on. I open my app and it just closes on me.

Annoying. The constant piano playing over the songs was extremely annoying and it doesn’t show you the picking patterns.

Actually Useless. This app is actually useless. As far as u can see this app just encourages you to strum chords while a track plays in the background. The chords that you strum do not relate to the song playing at all and u don't learn how to play the song, you learn to strum random chords while the song is playing. Useless app.

Loveee it!!!. Im completely self taught and was at a loss of what to do untill i brought this app it actually gave me the confidence to get over the dead end i was stuck at... Honestly love it so much so good for beginners actually id say best guitar learning app ive ever come across...

Really good but.... I'd really like to be able to add my own backing tracks and lyrics. The app is really good for screen mirroring onto big screen tv and using it for small group jams at home. If I could add tracks and lyrics then we could also explore song writing in the group too.

App is unstable. After 2 weeks the free version of the app will not load. Very frustrating

Awesome. Great App! This app makes learning to play the guitar fun and easy by using your favourite songs so much better than the boring songs in lesson books! It doesn't matter if your a beginner or a master it teaches what every guitar player wants to achieve to play and sing your favourite songs! I use this app everyday to practice in fact I've tried heaps of other apps and now this is the only app I use! Fantastic great job keep it up!

Great concept! Actual backing sound needs improvement.. This is an excellent concept and a wonderful tool for group and individual guitar tuition. My gripe is with the quality of the backing track, it needs to be less of a vamped backing karaoke track and more like the real song. I am sure this can be achieved by getting a better guitar timbre and a more modern rock feel to the backing. Well done a great concept, look forward to your updates.

FourChords is really good. Started with the free version and then bought the annual subscription. Well worth it Heaps of playable four chord songs. Great visual delivery. Easy to identify chords. Strumming pattern to help if needed. Hundreds of songs good diversity of music. This is the best guitar app. It has really helped me stay interested. I just search a artist and then I am strumming along. Really good

Wonderful. Ive tried heaps of others, but this app is the easiest and best way to be able to play songs!

Unimpressed. Hmmm the app says 50,000 free songs for a limited time but it would be lucky to have about 100 songs all up (most of them paid)! The songs need a lot of work before they are good enough to pay money for. I would suggest to just look up songs on google yourself rather than waste your time downloading this.

Music to my ears. Love the app. Very easy to follow, has greatly improved my chord progression and I've learnt many more songs. Tend to play until my fingers are sore, because the time flies by. Never a bad thing :) highly recommended

App is awesome. The app is fantastic “Excellent” Easy to use and follow. lyrics can be displayed or hidden. Paid for a subscription and worth every cent. Current song list is great and concept is fantastic. Song list constantly updated. Recommend for students who want to progress. This is a 10/10 app And lots of fun to use. Get the app, you won’t regret it. If it had tabs to the Song - it would be super awesome.

Beginners dream. This is a great app to teach you the basics of guitar. Its easy to follow, and before you know it you'll find yourself playing along with a song. You can even video tape yourself doing so. If you want to just learn the chords and not concern yourself with reading music and a whole lot of theory then get this app and get straight into strumming. Highly recommended

Tuner is trash. The built in tuner is absolute garbage, it kept telling me that the g string was far too low and caused me to snap a string, I pulled out an actual tuner and every string was far too high and I noticed strain on all of them

Fun. Not a bad app for a bit of play along fun. Great for karaoke for the kids too. It's not 100% accurate as in it only gives you 4 chord versions of songs but it's a good place to start. I enjoy using this app.

Easy & fun. I love this! I get simple songs to play at a pace I can strum & sing to having never done this before. All I want to do is play & sing so instead of dreading practicing I do it 5 min a day and it's working!!

4 Chords. Boring app... Waste of time unless you are a complete beginner to guitar, and even then you would out grow it in a few days.

Great app to learn and enjoy guitar. Using this app will improve your proficiency if you are just learning guitar. It is also fun for those that have more skill.

Experience points for nothing. All I have to do is listen to the song and I get experience points. How am I learning anything from that? It should be when I get the right cords at the right time I get experience points. The video lessons are OK though, but when you hit total beginner it should be pointing you in the direction of tuning your guitar then learning the cords before going to a song to play. Not straight to a song.

My take. I have this app loaded in my latest iPad mini and it rocks! However the tuner is not sensitive enough, hard to tune and not useful!

Wow. This app is really cool! I am learning my chords and a new song along the way. What a great way to accelerate learning the guitar!

CAUTION. I downloaded it in the hopes it would help me play some songs, but it was only available for the free preview days... After free preview ended there was nothing on it to assist a intermediate player unless you purchase full access pass Even the "FREE SONGS" only playted for a brief time VERY LIMITED APP... not very helpful in the end

Useless. You only get previews of the songs in the app. You have to purchase full songs.

Love the app but would like some new songs.. I had thought there would be new songs added regularly but I haven’t seen any since I joined. Other than that I love the format and it makes playing very easy. It’s a great app just love to see new stuff.

VIP. The app is useful I learned a lot of songs that I like but the VIP is stupid I don't want to pay every week or every month I think you should buy the song on iTunes and not give money every month.

Keeps rebooting. Love the App, but cannot get in. It worked initially on my Iphone but started to fail after I bought the monthly plan. I was hooked on the format, but now waiting for it to be fixed.

Highly Recommend. Has limitations and timing is sometimes inconsistent. Maybe ok for a beginner to learn some simplified songs. A little disappointing for me.

It would seem iPad 3 support has ended!. Unable to update app as I get an error message that iPad 3 is not supported. Sure glad I did not purchase many songs!

Four Chord. This is one of the few free apps that can teach you many things. There are also free songs (and songs you need to pay for) that the app will teach you how to play to. Overall, I really enjoy this app!

GREAT!. This is great, and if you're a beginner btw, you should begin with books and videos, not apps. And please stop saying that the app crashes on you, that's just your phone. Not the app. Get a better phone.

Subscriptions are too expensive. I really enjoy this app. It helps me with singing while playing, which I really struggle with. But I recently got notified that their subscription prices DOUBLED. $60 for a six month subscription is too expensive. I was ok with $30. So I'm out.

Really good app. I have used this app along with Justin Guitar for about a year. Its awsome! I especially like how songs are transposed up. I would like to see more vintage country from 70s and 80s. Also would like all songs to have a stumming pattern other than just downstrokes for some. Keep it up. Very much worth the year long subscription price.

Great App but.... I was hooked on this app right until the trial ended. Now all you get are samples of the songs instead of the full which is how they were when I initially downloaded it. Pretty decent though.

Great concept. I love the idea of this app. And playing with it this far, I could see it being helpfull. Until, I have to buy songs.

Enjoying this app. Very much fun. Looking forward to upgrades such as more chord depth and more sophisticated indications of strum changes. Maybe even some picking. But it's great as it is too. Cast it up on your TV and the party is definitely on.

GREAT APP but why???!!!!. AMAZING APP!! But... Why on earth do we have to buy ONE MONTH OR ONE YEAR?! I would MUCH rather pay once, and get all of the VIP stuff. I don't care how much I pay, as long as it's not too much, but I SERIOUSLY don't wanna have to pay for every single month or year. And the monthly and yearly payments right now are RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! I used to have this app and it didn't cost anything but I didn't have a guitar. So I deleted it. I recently got one and re-downloaded it, but got 100% disappointed when I saw it. Don't get me wrong, if you're made of money and looking to learn guitar, loose all your iTunes money for it. It's a great app Just NOT for the ones that don't have all that money.

Four chords. Amazing apps for beginners!

Won't get you very far. This app would be okay for someone who has just picked up a guitar but it would fail anyone looking to advance their skills. On the upside you can practice new chords in real time with accompaniment. What it does not teach is technique - strumming, picking, notes, chord structure. It's monkey see monkey do only. It's not expensive and it looks like it was designed for toddlers which sometimes isn't a bad thing. I need something.a hair more advanced so this won't do.

Great way to play quickly. This is a great app. It covers all the basics - chords, chord progression, strum pattern and rhythm. The accompaniment is good for those who don't always have someone to play with. That cheering at the end of the songs is quite annoying though.

FourCords. This is a good beginners tool if your just starting out .

A lot of great guitar songs missing. Besides the occasional update glitch with loss of all your downloaded songs and no backup available, the list of new songs seems to avoid the great guitar solo songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s. If you use the app a lot and are not into today’s music it gets boring.

Really, really helping me to learn guitar!. Very easy interface and a nice selection of songs. I love it, really! I started with a Jamstik+ and learned the basic chords and fretting and then moved to a Yamaha Silent Guitar and am enjoying highly motivational improvements in my ability. It is really fun to see the looks of disbelief on the faces of those who know that I had never picked up a guitar prior to two months ago! Improvements desired: There are a few songs...mostly those with only three chords, that just don't sound anything like the song they are portraying. That's ok though, because as a beginner, I want to focus on proper technique, sound, rhythm and chord changes, so I am still finding these highly useful. I also have Four Chords on my Mac, but it is very quirky and not quite as enjoyable. Still extremely awesome though!

Leaving me behind?. New version apparently drops compatibility for any iPad older that iPad Air. That leaves me and my iPad gen 3 out in the cold. Mixed feelings about that since all the reviews on the new version are bad. Of course, being stuck on the old good version is certainly no consolation as this is an in-app purchase product. Why would I give these jokers any money for songs knowing that they are going to sunset my device. 'F' that. It's not like this little app is hard to run on a machine with these specs. Hey Devs, don't be a douche. It's not your job to sell me a new tablet. You just got yourself cut from the team...

Nope. Horrible customer service. My case was just dropped after they gave me the same generic info they provide on their FAQ. I’ve sent three letters to this point that have been ignored still. It is nice all until you have an issue with the app.

Stuck with payments. We have been trying to unsubscribe from this app but it seems impossible. We have been stuck with monthly payments despite not using the app. There should be a easier way to unsubscribe.

Glitchy!. I love this app but lately the glitches are sucking all the fun out of it. I hope this is fixed soon.

Very cool app. I use to play the guitar 40 yrs ago but, gave it up for other life requirements. I decided that it was time to pick it (guitar) back up. I downloaded this app as a fluke during a search for a music app. I'm glad I did! This app is making things very easy to learn again. I thought it would be difficult being that I'm over 50 now but, O contrair mon friar. I now practice finger placement and strumming while sitting in traffic without an actual instrument just to work finger memory. Justin has a great thing here and I will be visiting more of the app as I improve. Thanks for helping the love of music reappear in my life, and making it easy and enjoyable to do so.

Great for timing and chord change work. Really enjoying the app and it is making a difference in my guitar playing. Has a few things in need of attention (later) but this app helps me where I need it most as an advanced beginner. My timing is improving each time I play along with the songs I have added to my play list. My chord changes are also improving. What I like the most: - lots of songs to choose from and I chose the ones that allow me to work on chords I can handle while other songs have chords I need to work on improving (F) and others with chords (B) that give me something to shoot for when I can. - chords to play are greatly simplified for each song and kept to basic strum patterns making it very doable for me at my level and avoid getting discouraged. - if the bpm is too fast for my level, I can slow it down then work up to actual speed. - love the moving visual of chord letter flashing as the beat hits and to see next chords just below to help me prepare my change. - the feedback after song ends is quite general but helpful to a point. What I’d like to see improved: - auto advance from one song to another should have the option to turn on or off. Usually next song plays automatically but a few times song ends and “results” button shows. On auto advance I have found that if I pause at end, the results button is visible behind “auto play, next song” button and I can touch the exposed top of results button to see my weak points. App used to quit or not respond but this seems to have been solved. A few simple functions would stop and I could close and reopen to get them working again. This too seems to be solved now. 🤞🏻 Overall this app is well worth the yearly subscription and is both, fun and challenging. My biggest weakness playing guitar is timing and this app forces me to stay in time or slow it down. I used to focus on perfect chord finger placement at the expense of keeping time. Now I focus as much on timing and letting my chord sound improve with practice. Highly recommended

Used to be good but .... ... Recent updates turned into useless. It was awesome on all of my iPads (2, mini, 4). Now, it crashes only and no way to make it work again. "Thanks" for this great customer awareness. Make it "better" and btw buy a new iPad...

Buggy app wont let me access the songs!!!. I PAiD for this app and its buggy and keeps telling me i have no network connection (not true!) and I cant access the songs, only what’s in my downloaded folder and playlist. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! Now i cant figure out how to get a refund!

Not working. I attempted to contact app support to no avail. The app does not open and I am unable to use it. I have the subscription and I have been able to access the app for two months that I am aware of. Please correct this issue. Thank you!

New songs. Need to add new songs

Back to the basics!. I've been feeling uninspired to play my guitar lately, I just purchased this app and I just played for three hours straight on my acoustic. I haven't touched that guitar in months but there's so many fun songs to play and sing with. Sometimes it's nice to just go back to the basics and strum simple chords. I would like to see some advance chords though, for example "you got to hide your love away" sounds so much better with the advanced cords but on here its simplified. It works but it's not as dynamic.

Excellent Super Duper. Great Awsome. I can know play for hours and never repeat a song. This is like GPS for music. In the old days you had to carry around notebooks and sheet music. This gives you that and so so much more. Like a GPS it's something you need to spend the time and learn how to use. Once you understand the timing of the strum patterns you can play anything anywhere with a great sounding backup band. Grade A instruments with nice reverb tails that give the sound a realistic sense of room space. By far the greatest app of all time. Totally off the hook play for hours and hours. Nothing is finer than the 4Chord. :-) *****

Not free though listed as free. You get a limited trial of an app with very limited songs. Stuff you can get free elsewhere. Meh. Then you get enrolled in a paid app. Not worth it. Wasted my time.

Pretty Good Just Needs improvements. Use this app with my iPad plugged into an amp. I perform at a local shopping mall and everyone really enjoys it. The producers of this app do listen to the customer reviews. Not so long ago I ask about key changes and now you can change the keys but not to any key. Just the easy play along ones say from G to C. It would be nice to be able to have a play list option. I have to scroll through the songs and this does take away my e when you have 120 to deal with. My goal is to have 200 songs at various category's. Please come up with more children's songs. I enjoy playing for the kids at the mall and they love to sing along. Have to use y other app Sheet Music Direct for them. Mary Had A Little Lamb and a very few others can get boring. They love Let It Go from Frozen. I play it all the time. Keep up the Good work.

Good App. Was using the trial version and have not yet upgraded to the full version but am seriously considering it as it is a good tool to learn new songs with on guitar or any other chord based instrument and vocals as well although I am not a singer at all. With the ability to change the tempo and having a metronome built in you can work up to speed required and fine tune your timing so it is not just a karaoke app it has serious music tool capabilities and with a few tweaks from the developer like a tab line and this would be my go to app for any song I needed to learn.

Must have for beginners. You need this app if you want to learn strumming patterns and proper chord changes. Not enough good things can be said about this app for a beginner. Justinguitar is a great resource and coupled with his website comes this unique and much needed application. Purchase the VIP because it's worth it to get access to new songs (which are added often). In addition to strumming patterns and chord changes there are links to Justin's videos giving instance access to how a chord should be formed and utilized. Finally, this app provides great tuning, timing, and other resources to greatly improve guitar playing. If you are a noob or if you have been playing for some time and just want to learn the rhythm of a song, get this now.

Old new guy. App is perfect to keep me interested in attempting to play music to annoy my wife. No fault of hers it kind of like hearing a child learn a clarinet.

More old Christian songs. I have requested many times for older gospel songs but have been totally ignored. I think I have been talking to a computer

“Restoring purchase” big. I’m a paid user, but when I try to launch on my iPad I get a dialogue that I have to subscribe or “restore” my purchase. When I click “restore purchase” the app says “restoring purchase” but nothing happens. I’ve emailed support and they never responded.
