This app changed my mindset!. Initially, I was very reluctant to use this app. It encouraged me to weigh daily, which terrified me. But I found out that weighing daily actually helps give a moving average of my weight. In all actuality that gives me a better view of how much weight I'm really losing. I can now see after using this app for several months that weighing daily has helped me lose weight. Weight that I have not been able to lose since the onset of menopause three years ago. Today I am celebrating! Typically people are encouraged to weigh once monthly or weekly. But what if on that one day you decide to weigh, you consumed too much salt the day before? It's going to show up on the scale. possibly in a weight gain of 1–3 pounds. And in your mind, you think you have failed... again. By recording my weight on the HappyScale app every day, I can see what progress I have made that week, that month, etc. I don't flip out over occasional weight gain. I can see that my overall trend is weight loss. That has changed my mindset. I do not beat myself up if my weight is up a pound or two. It encourages me to keep going forward with my healthy life choices. What have I learned the most with this app? WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT LINEAR! This app lets me see the big picture and not just one small piece of the picture. I tell everyone about this app! Thank you, Happy Scale!

Versatile, useful, helpful, encouraging. Easily worth the few bucks I spent. This app does several things I really like that most other apps don’t. First, it uses your weigh-in log to predict your actual weight (smoothing out the daily variances) which is helpful psychologically if you happen to weigh a bit more than yesterday despite sticking to your calorie goal. Second, it predicts the dates you will hit your goal weight based on your theoretical calorie deficit target, your actual current rate of weight loss, and your actual overall rate of weight loss. This is very helpful to see how I might need adjust my goals and to see how well I’ve been meeting my goals based on results. Third, it takes your total weight loss goal and breaks it up into many mini-goals (“milestones”) that are much easier to deal with. My goal is to lose 30 pounds and that seems daunting on its own, but it’s much easier to consider myself working towards each milestone of just a couple pounds at a time. The app does a few other things, but those are the features I like most. I’m using this along with my Fitbit and it’s app for exercise and calorie tracking. I’m down 8 pounds so far this year and have 22 to go. Happy Scale is helping me reach my goal.

Motivates me to persevere in loosing weight.. Love this app! It’s the most healthy way to look at weight loss. Some days, especially as a woman, you may go up a little or fluctuate. This app applies those logged weight entries and still gives you a good idea of your TREND. So, I don’t get as discouraged when I see a 1-2 pound increase because the graph still shows that my overall trend is going down. I have a lot of weight to loose to be healthy. So I love that I can break it down into manageable milestones that aren’t as overwhelming as my BIG number. I love the animations as I’ve hit milestones (confetti!) and the progress I see on the arch, especially when I’m getting close to that next milestone! I’ve tried other weight loss tracking apps and non compare to this one if you have a big goal in mind. I like looking forward to the predictions (knowing it’s an estimate) that if I keep up the work I’m doing to get healthier my overall goal should be achieved in ____ months. Definitely worth buying premium! I was lucky to have bought early on and was grandfathered into the premium features. I love that the builder is honoring that commitment they made in the beginning as they work to keep improving the app. 5 stars for sure! I’ve shared this app with many friends and family!

Happy Scale For Life!. I love this app! I’ve been using it for almost a year and am down 19 pounds! I had used the free version for quite some time prior to upgrading to the full version. After the upgrade I had reached out to the developer and had gotten a quick and immediate response. Just recently my iTunes account crashed. I reached out to the developer again, and to my surprise, I received another quick and immediate response. The developer had remembered me, and was able to help me get the app back up and running in less than a 24 hour time period from when I had reached out. The professionalism of the developer was and is outstanding! I’m so pleased I had upgraded and don’t regret spending any money on the app which I do use daily! If this developer were to create any other apps in the future, I personally would instantaneously upgrade to the full version. The developer has put a lot of time into the “Happy Scale” app and it shows. This is my unbiased opinion as a consumer. I’ve used some really bad apps and some really good apps, but after finding Happy Scale, I’ve stopped looking for weight tracking apps because Happy Scale has everything I need and more! My favorite app. I’ve been using this app for about 3 years now and it all started because I was obese and needed to lose a lot of weight. I started keto and tracked 2 years using this all, it was quite motivating seeing what the weight loss goal was if I continued at the rate I was going. I lost over 80lbs and bypassed my goal and then I decided a baby needed to happen in my life, even though sometimes out of your control, I kept the same weight gain to 20lbs and I knew this app would help me again on the weight loss journey of losing my baby weight. Well I’m 14 days after baby and I’m down 12.6 lbs part naturally and keto. This app really really really helps me stay motivated and it’s not super complicated. Clean, easy and simple!!! Love this app!

5⭐️Happy Scale makes me HAPPY. It won’t let me click the stars but is is a 5⭐️app, this app updates often and makes it even better each time. I got this app years ago and paid for the one-time lifetime charge for the premium. I love how the powers that be honored that agreement. And I also absolutely love the app! It really shows and highlights progress which is very motivating. My weight varies but this app focuses on the average weight as well as showing the goals you’ve met so far. I know it is a monthly subscription for the premium service now but I think it’s worth it! It’s not an in-your-face get it done but more like a good job -keep going vibe. I’m working hard now and going to reach my goal in the next 6 months, happy to have this app to document the journey! To this day -I STILL LOVE THIS APP!

I can see the future.. Puns intended. Like most people I have many ups and downs with my weight. I’ve always been in the plus size weight range, and I love my body, however I do acknowledge that being on the lower end of the PS spectrum is much more beneficial to my overall health. So when life hands you pounds you’ve got to make lemon water, its number crunching time. However, I can do just about everything right but once I see the number on my scale start trickling up or plateauing (even if just for a day or two) I lose most if not all motivation. My mood for my entire day can be adjusted by that dumb little number on the scale. The moving average is amazing for someone like me. It’s helped me stay on track and not get discouraged. I’m also a huge HUGE fan of the milestones section I love that it lets you know what your percentage is until you reach your next milestone, and if you gain a few oz that percentage won’t go down, again helping to not discourage. I’ve never stayed with a weight tracking app as long as I’ve been using Happy Scale and I ain’t going anywhere but down. I Love This App!

Simple and effective. I have been using the app for eight years. So many apps are colorful fluff that lack the information we truly need for success. Happy Scale is the very opposite of that. This simple app effectively tracks your weight and records your trends. It logs everything you need without fancy distractions. The reports and summaries line out your progress without complications. It is very easy to use: the entry of your weight is automatically applied to your log and other charts. It is very easy to add entries and does not require tons of clicks to get information, even to get your stats from years ago. It is very motivating to see progress and which direction you are trending. It gives you the facts of your weight loss journey and helps you see what you are doing. There are no excuses for not recording your weight. You can add notes to tell yourself what is working or help explain unexpected results. This tool can make a huge impact on tackling a weight problem, especially for those of us tackling it alone. Happy Scale is a valuable partner that helps without demanding anything other than a simple data entry.

Best weight loss app out there!. I can’t possibly describe the ways this app has changed my body image, my relationship with my weight, my approach to weight loss... really my LIFE. I used to DREAD stepping on the scale, so much so that I would only do it consistently for short periods of time, meaning I had no check ins with myself to notice weight gain until it was excessive. Now, I’m EXCITED to step on the scale every morning. The developer of this app who, I’m told, created it to aid in his own weight loss journey, has leveraged the power of data to move weighing oneself from a headspace of personal valuation and judgement to a less personal, fact-based, statistical headspace. For me, the depersonalization of the weight loss process is revolutionary and life-changing. Now, I don’t have to feel bad when my weight fluctuates naturally because I can keep my eye on my total average or 10 day best numbers. The goal-tracking feature is also super helpful and motivating. This app is amazing— I highly recommend it to everyone and I know, and even people I don’t. Like you. ;)

Gets a Lot Right. All in all I like this app. One thing I would change is the reporting of lowest weight this week and using that number to determine stats and trends. I would prefer if a weekly average was used for this purpose as that is a more accurate reflection of your losses. I also don’t understand how the rolling average is being calculated. It is not the average of the past seven days because I’ve done that calculation and it’s different. As far as the premium version goes, the only thing I find useful is the ability to keep notes. Because all the other info is based on the low weight of the week instead of the average it doesn’t really mean much. Maybe one of the settings should be the ability to chose which number the user wants to use for these stats.

Happy Scale was one of my first app purchases as a college student many years ago. I have used the premium version of this app for years (i believe since 2014) and have always found the predictions so useful. I love having a graph and milestones to track my weights. I have a couple of suggestions though. It would be SO useful to have a notes section - I like to write what I ate that day, or perhaps my ketones or blood glucose that day. It helps me look back and see what my levels were for that particular weight. In addition to that, perhaps having milestone “prizes” that you write in for yourself such as “you have unlocked a new milestone - treat yourself to a pedicure.” I can keep the latter suggestion in my notes app but it would be so much better if I could attach notes to the weights 🙏🏽

Good free app. Perfectly useable as a free app. No intrusive adds. Trends help keep one bad weigh-in from being too discouraging. Suggestion: I’d really like to have a way to visualize where my period falls on the trend line and have some sort of statistical information on how it affects my weight. I suspect from casual observation that it has a big effect on things—my weight seems to temporarily shoot up in the middle of my cycle and at the end of my period, stay mostly flat in the second half of my cycle even when month to month I’ve been losing weight, and drop significantly after my period. This sort of feature would tip me into paying for premium. I know premium currently has a logbook feature that I could use to self-track to some extent, but without graphical features or statistical analysis, I feel that’s not much better than keeping track in a separate app and comparing dates.

The moving average is the best!. I've tried in the past to put my daily weight into an excel doc and calculate averages to help even out the huge daily fluctuations that can be super frustrating while trying to lose weight. The calculations that do the moving average on Happy Scale are so much better than what I could come up with. Even when I've had three "high" days in a row, the moving average helps me keep my focus on the long game, reminding me that I'm probably still losing weight based on the trends, and it keeps me from getting discouraged. I'm far less likely to do unhealthy things to get low numbers on the scale in the short run, like skip meals, because getting a super low weight in Happy Scale is just as ineffective on the moving average as a super high weight. Slow and steady, and doing it healthily!

Super helpful & positive :). I love this app! I was looking for something to track just my weight (not diet/calories/exercise, etc.) because with apps like that I start obsessing about every single bite I eat, wasting time and mental energy figuring out how many calories I can have. This app is PERFECT because it has a ton of features for tracking weight without all the extra stuff I didn’t need or want. I love that it can break up my big goal into smaller milestones, which helps me track small accomplishments along the way so I don’t get discouraged. I also LOVE that it graphs changes in weight as “trends” rather than individual points, which helps account for normal weight fluctuations while still showing it as overall progress rather than a setback. It’s important to me to stay positive along the way to my goal so I don’t start feeling defeated or overwhelmed. This app is helping me to make healthy changes without obsessing over calories.

Very user friendly, love it!. As the title states happy scale is incredibly easy to navigate and use for people who are newer to healthy living and just want an easy app to keep track of your progress. Me and my wife started Keto in December of 2020 and as of today 6/6/21 have both lost about 70 pounds each and although a small part I would say happy scale played a part nonetheless. Being able to easily pull up and look at the progress you’ve made and at what dates you achieved this or that weight and also being able to look ahead at your projected goal achievement date and the like is incredibly inspiring and helps to keep you motivated as you go through your journey to being a healthier person. I would absolutely recommend happy scale to anyone trying to either reach a goal weight weather it’s loosing or gaining weight or just trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I can’t stress enough how helpful it is to be able to go back and see what your weight was at a certain time for reference instead of just trying to remember in your head.

It’s the BEST weight tracking app!!. If your thinking about downloading it, DO IT! I purchased this app in 2019 on a friend’s recommendation and I’ve used it ever since! All the way from 50 pound weight loss into maintenance. You can customize parts to help you with your goals like the option to use moving averages or breaking your goal into smaller chunks so you see progress in different levels. It also gives you projected weight loss data so you can see how it’s going as you move towards a date or timeframe & you can choose the color schemes for loss or gain which is nice, instead of a gain being bright red like you’re in a danger zone & have failed, you can choose a color that doesn’t add to thoughts that aren’t helpful. I love this app, it’s simple to use and the layout is really, really good, you can tell the developer put a lot of thought into how it was done. Get it, you won’t regret it!

Works with new tech. Added to my review. Happy scale. I like it. I weigh myself every day. It shows whether I’m trending down or not and how fast. With my weight going up and down the app Happy Scale shows what my weight will be on future dates. If my dieting stays the same, gets better or gets worse. When I blow my diet I am encouraged to move back to my diet when I see how happy scale displays my my past up and down weights and shows what my weight will be in the future, even with my weight going up and down. Full disclosure says I should tell you I bought the upgrade so I could get all that it could do. And it’s worth it. Adding to my review I’ve been using and happy with Happy Scale. Happy scale syncs with my health app. I just bought a new Bluetooth scale with its app. It syncs with health app too. I’m still using Happy Scale but I don’t have to enter the weight. The syncing and Bluetooth weight scale is inputting my weight into Happy Scale. This just made using Happy Scale even better.

LOVE THIS APP!!!. This app actually makes me excited to get up and weigh myself every morning because it’s showing my progress and predicting when i can reach my goals. Not even just my major goal but it breaks your goal weight down into smaller more reasonable goals so that you don’t give up. When you make progress everything updates and shows you your new trends. This app is helping me to keep up trying and not give up! Not only does it track your weight but it tells you what your moving average weight is too because you go up and down in weight a lot when trying to lose weight so even if you’re up a pound it shows you that you’re not really a whole pound up your body is just fluctuating. If anyone is having trouble losing weight this app definitely is helping me!

Best App Ever. I am not one to write reviews for applications on my phone but I wanted to take a second for this one… It is simply the best designed and most wonderful little app that I’ve ever used. It is thoughtful, easy to use, and super practical. The way that it has gamified tracking my weight has taken away all the anxiety of stepping on the scale and it actually makes it fun for me. I look forward every day to seeing my progress and even when I have bad days the smoothing helps me keep things in check and keep perspective that weight management is a long-term goal. Obviously I have had to change my behaviors to see real weight loss but with the help of this app I have tracked over 20 pounds of weight loss and this encourages me to embrace a long-term strategy to keep it off. Happy Scale rocks!!!

Great little app!!. I’ve been on a weight loss journey for over 15 years. This year I started a program that seems to be working. I’m using a couple of tools to help me track what I’m eating and exercise but neither are able to use these metrics to predict where I could be if I maintained my pace (calories in versus calories out). This app is near perfect. It uses my current weight and past weight to calculate the rate of loss and where I could be if I continued losing weight based on: my weekly weight-loss goal rate (2 lbs per week) or what my actual weight-loss rate. I started out inputting my weekly weight but found that more data points make the app more accurate (of course). For me - it is motivating to view these details into my journey because it along with my other tools completes the picture of my progress. It actually keeps me determined to stay on track with my food & exercise because I want to see the numbers change in the app. Technically/Functionality - I’ve not experienced any glitches or bugs since I started using this about 2 months ago. Features wise - it pretty much displays everything I want to know. My only wish would be that the prediction chart would show weekly predictions up to 6 months out. While it shouldn’t matter to the functionality, I did purchase a year subscription.

Transformational view of weigh loss. I’ve had this app since late 2017. And I’ve seen some dramatic improvements in the experience. I’ve lost more than 20 pounds, now less than 5 pounds to my goal weight. And as someone who never wanted to weigh in, ever, this app has helped to change my perspective. The predictors are amazing! The data presentation helps me feel great about my journey. The graphs are very helpful as well, really gratifying! I can’t say enough good things, in fact, I’ve never done this before, but I deliberately sent money today to the developer of this app, via the tip opportunity, that is optional. Because what I realize, is I spend more time using this data to help me on my journey to control and maintain my weight, than any other tool. Thank you so much! This app Is SO helpful and encouraging. I’ve lost 30 pounds this year, and this app has been the friend that says “don’t let gaining a couple pounds ruin everything. Keep going and you’ll get there”. It wipes away the fear of “I did so well this week, WHY didnt I lose more??” It evens things out and sets realistic and ACHIEVABLE milestones. So you can celebrate small successes along the way. It lets you segment your overall goal and helps you to avoid the frustration of fluctuating weight. Just TRUST the app, log your weight daily, even if you don’t like the number. KEEP GOING and you’ll get there. It’s all about small changes and baby steps. Nothing worth having is easy, so do it right and use this app to help with one of the hardest parts of getting healthy and losing weight...being patient!

Happy Scale makes me happy!. I have never been one to weigh myself more than once a week. Usually less than that(I guess that's how the weight creeped on me to begin with). It's really interesting to see how much your weight fluctuates. The number on the scale is almost psychological. If my weight goes up a pound in a day when I know I didn't eat nearly enough for that to make sense, I will still get discouraged, but then I look at my moving average and it has gone down even though my weight on the scale went up. I noticed this is how my weight fluctuates throughout the month. I get to a new low weight and then it increases 1-3 pounds until maybe a week later it drops off and I reach a new low weight. I have lost 6.5 pounds this month! It's a little bit, but it's more than I've been able to do before this app. I also like the milestones. It's better than going "Ah, I need to lose 30 pounds." I have it broken up into 10 milestones. I have passed two and have eight more to go! A very simple interface but highly effective! I recommend this app to anyone!

Life changing. I’ve used this app daily for three years. In that time, the gently calculated “moving average” helped me approach my scale with a better feeling. Instead of “I’m awful. I went up a pound!” I now think, oh that’s today’s entry. How’s my progress going overall? I’ve lost weight every year since I started with this app. I’ve improved my nutrition, and I have kept with a regular exercise routine (nothing extreme). The overall progress I’ve made includes a trend to go down every summer, and up every winter. This trend is really obvious when I look at the graph of my weight change in the app. It shows me that it’s ok to go up in the winter. That’s my natural pattern. And overall, I’ve gone up less and down more each year. It’s been a gradual improvement, and this app has been a huge part of keeping me feeling positive. The way it shows me my progress and trends is the key to my weight loss success. I’ve stuck with this app for three years now. I’m down 22 pounds. Little by little. The app is incredible. Game changer. Update: This app continues to be huge in my weight loss journey. I’m down 27 pounds now. I hope I can use the app forever!!

Perfect little app. Lets you put the daily ups and downs in perspective and see you’re actually doing fine even if one day looks bad. Also tells you if your overall trend is on a bad track. A big improvement on the usefulness of daily or periodic weigh-ins. The design is very elegant and easy to use — the developer is clearly someone who loves math AND has great design sense. No extraneous bells and whistles— everything is useful.. I also like how you can get the original app for an irresistible one dollar, provide an optional tip as a thanks If you like it, and upgrade for a few more dollars whenever. So far I’m loving the basic app and provided a tip but will probably upgrade. I do wish there was a diagonal line for predicted progress at the goal at loss rate you set — it would make a even easier to see if you’re on track.

Love it - 10 years of use! Best app for a weight loss or maintenance journey. There has been research that shows people who weigh themselves daily are more successful at maintaining their weight over time, perhaps because it reminds them daily about what they are trying to do, so they’re more mindful. However, human nature being what it is, sometimes seeing a blip on the scale when you feel like you have been doing exactly what you need to do to maintain or lose can be disappointing, which can lead to people giving up on their good behaviors. This app is wonderful in how it allows you to weigh daily but visualize the changes as part of a trend, rather than a single point in time. There are so many features that let you customize it to meet your needs. I highly recommend it.

It just gets better as you go along. This weight tracking app has been awesome. At first, I didnt really get what the numbers were all tracking because I hadnt put in enough data. After a few weeks, it started to become clear and it is very accurate and helpful. It also really showed me how close I am to my next weight loss landmark which has made it seem more doable to pass up going on some eating splurge in order to reach it. I definitely find it rewarding to enter in my weight from my scale now. And even when I have water retention or some other fluctuation, the app helps me to take it in stride instead of feeling like I must be doing something wrong and getting flustered. Sure enough, a few days later, my weight will drop down again just like the app's trends had suggested, so it really helps the scale to be less of a roller coaster. This app is wonderful. Seriously has helped motivate me to lose weight and not become discouraged. With weight loss, in particular, if you can't see the overall trend of your weight, it is easy to get psyched out and give up. The way this app is configured, it helps to see the bigger picture in a way that most people trying to lose weight cannot quite manage to see. This is a truly beautiful creation. UPDATE They've added even more customizations and I've found even more ways to use the features on this app. Seriously, this app is probably the best designed, most functional app I have downloaded.

Happy Scale. Hello there. I hope to catch your attention!! This app is the secret weapon for my weight loss success, AND KEEPING it steady for years. What’s so special about it? Statistics, for one. And I’m not a math or statistics person. You simply weigh on a scale of your choice, weekly, daily or whenever you want. Then enter your weight in the app. You get goals options and much more. It is easy to use and private. Great charts show your progress over time. You see the changes as a “floating average” of change. So what? Well, those up weight gains that we all have don’t freak you, or I should say don’t freak me out, bringing a bit of self-loathing because of an over eating or drinking, or whatever vacation with no fitness or eating restrictions. It helped me keep perspective and just keep returning to my healthy habits. Try it! You have a lot to loss (probably). I did! Elizabeth. - Ps— I have zero relationship to whoever developed this app. I’ve spread the word among my friend and family. And I’m getting no money for this review!

Must have app. About a year ago I was at my heaviest weight ever, just over the threshold of “obese.” I wanted to lose 60 pounds, but it felt like an insurmountable hurdle. Something made me give it one more try anyway after turning 40, and in May 2021 I set about doing the only thing that had ever worked for me before: portion control and taking opportunities to make healthier choices. I tried other weight loss apps, but they were overly complicated and discouraging. I saw someone mention Happy Scale and decided to try it. The app is very simple, but I find it so motivating. I weigh myself almost every morning before eating. The fluctuations of the scale can be frustrating, but Happy Scale gives me a wider perspective and helps me see patterns. Less than a year later, I’m down 36 pounds (slow and steady on purpose), having just achieved a healthy BMI for the first time in about 8 years. Still making steady progress and expecting to reach my goal weight this summer. I’m really glad I found this app. It’s the little things like having to click to view my new trends when I make progress, and seeing my milestones fill in that keep me going! If I could change one thing, I’d like to see some confetti every time I reach a milestone 🤣

Set realistic goals and see patterns. Update: 8 years later I still use Happy Scale regularly. I love that there are trends that help me know I’m still doing the right things and not just hard numbers showing ups and downs and leaving me frustrated when there’s an up day. It’s a small thing, but that’s the great thing about this app. It’s full of small things you didn’t know you always wanted. Nice touches that help you track weight in whatever way works best for you - milestones, charts, historical data, start dates if you wanted to try something like Whole 30 and specifically track that experience. I also like that you can have more than one named account. I keep track of my home scale and one for my doctors’ office weigh ins - because those scales are always way off. And the recent update includes widgets for the Home Screen that are so customizeable! Just a great app. Thanks! Happy Scale has been invaluable to me in my weight loss journey. Down 60 lbs and counting! I can see trends in weight loss or gain and set realistic goals for myself as to when I might meet my goal weight. LOVE IT. thanks!

Non-shaming Weight Tracker. This app is simple but brilliant. It dutifully tracks your weight but not with this crazy jagged line. It smooths everything out so you can see where you’re headed for the long term. I get a better sense of the arch of my journey, rather than be bummed out because I gained a pound from eating too much salt one day. I didn’t think really needed the upgrade, but reading the little bit about the app developer pushed me over the edge. Using this app, the developer lost more than 100 pounds! This app won’t make you lose weight, but it will help with the ups and downs of weighing in, keeping your head in the game. It only tells you when your trends have improved, so you don’t have to feel bad if you have a few tough days. I love it and am so grateful it’s on the market. Happy to support such a non-shaming health app.

My Favorite App. As someone who has struggled with weight all my life, my relationship with the scale is complicated. I am a lifelong dieter who has lost and gained 20-70 pounds over and over. Now, in my 50’s, I’ve come to embrace fasting as a lifestyle and it is allowing me to lose at a clip I’ve never experienced previously. The tricky thing psychologically is that fasting weight loss is very unlike normal weight loss. After a fasting day I might be down 2-3 pounds but after an eating day or two, I’m back up 1-2 pounds. Happy Scale keeps me grounded in seeing that my trend line is down despite the variations I see every day. It’s exciting to watch the trend and really helps me put it all into perspective. I love this app that has helped me learn to see the scale as a tool rather than as a judgmental enemy!

Really “Happy!”. Happy Scale has been the best app for my weight loss journey I’ve ever purchased. It is such a better way to track your weight. It is better for my mind and self-confidence as well. I have had it for years and love that if I’ve stopped tracking for some reason and want to start fresh from where I am, I can just create a new profile. I love the trends, the stats, the graph, and the different ways of calculating your moving average. I also love that you can choose to break up your goals into chunks that work for you. I am a bit impatient, so I have mine set to 5 lbs, but you can choose a different amount if you want or even just break your weight loss goal into 10 smaller ones. The app works for you and is so easy to use. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Perfect!. I love happy scale! It works perfectly for my needs, watching the weight trend helps keeps the level of encouragement up by giving you progress updates, and having your goal broken into smaller bites. So you can not only see your progress but so you can achieve the small goals quickly and keep your fire burning! There are some paid features, I have not purchased the pd version yet, but I probably will soon. Not because I really need anything more than what the free version offers, but because I want to support the creator of such a great app. Also kudos on not over advertising the paid version in the free on. I have downloaded and deleted apps that may be great, but every few taps a question to buy the other comes up. I’m so happy this app IS NOT like that! Makes using it enjoyable. I think the only improvement I could think of would be a place to add body measurements.... and that may very well be in the paid version.

Great for your mental health!. I get really sad when I see people falling into the realm of eating disorders or just downright having an unhealthy relationship with food because they’re simply unaware that weight fluctuations are unavoidable during any weight loss journey. I’ve been there myself and could never understand why I could gain weight after starving myself one day, then lose weight after getting fed up and gorging the next... This app helps you make sense of all the noise. The one thing keeping this from being perfect is that there isn’t the option to view your weight predictions based on your current weight trends (AFAIK). It only shows you predictions based on what you committed to losing each week, but when your trend is working out lower or higher than that, it’d be nice to see your updated predictions alongside your original ones. I really hope the dev takes this suggestion as I’ll happily buy the app when he does!

Works like a charm!!. Another Update: I’ve been using this app for seven years now, and everything I said previously still holds. It’s a wonderful tool for good health, and it just keeps getting better with each update. Update: I've been using this app for six months now and still love it. I use it to adjust my food/sodium intake, depending on my daily weight fluctuations. I love using this app. I weigh myself daily and used to get upset by the daily fluctuations of the scale even though I know that it's normal and natural. With this app, I can see the general downward spiral of my weight in spite of the daily variances. That helps keep me happy and focused on my goals. I also appreciate the mini-milestone feature. Again, achieving those mini goals keeps you motivated. This app shows the user their progress in an easy to use, intuitive manner. Thanks for a wonderful tool.

Rational and encouraging.. I install this months ago, never used it, and forgot about it. Recently, I gained another 30lbs after becoming less active. I bought a HealthKit comparable scale and sought weight tracking software. From all that I tried, this one had the most encouraging features. I paid the “full feature” fee and am compatible satisfied. IT has been worth every cent. I configured the goal and milestones to something rational and have nearly reached 50% of my first milestone in only two days! I can now have a rational and feasible guided path to improve my body weight. I have 100 mile stones. Those little steps are helpful. Update: This app remains the best! The moving average helped me to remain confident during periods of struggle. Thank you.

Hands down the BEST weight tracking app! 🙌🏻. My husband and I have been using this app since February. And together, we’ve lost just over 22lbs! I love the multiple login feature, and the moving average weights, and the customization is brilliant! It’s everything I ever want to do and see with weightloss! The milestone break down is encouraging, and it’s so helpful to have a tool track our current weightloss rate. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this app!! Best weight tracking app out there. I’ve been a premium/paid user for years and have tried many other apps. Happy Scale is the best app by far - easy to use, filled with great data, stats and graphing, great multi-device syncing, and great integration with Apple Health. Even better, the developer responds to feedback and suggestions. For me, the only thing that is missing that a few apps have is the ability to add text markers to the graph, so you can show a date you changed diet, exercise programs, or medications and then see that marker as you review your data on the graph. Marking a diet change, a trip, a medication change, a holiday or whatever is important to seeing the full picture of your health journey on the graph over time. Submitted this as a suggestion and had a great interaction with the developer and he has said that he likes this and they will try to add it at some point in the future. Wish it were prioritized a little higher since the app is already so full featured today with this one big exception, but super impressed with the engagement we had about this feature. I remain a loyal and enthusiastic user. With that one addition, this would definitely be worth 5 stars and clearly take the crown for the best app in the category.

This is the first app review I’ve ever done!. I am so impressed by this app. This is probably one of the only apps I’ve used that the free version is excellent. Today I just upgraded to support The developers of this app for doing such a good job. Other apps have forced me to upgrade for a higher amount. This time I did this to support honest people. It’s really exciting to watch your weight go down. The charts and graphs and goals are so helpful and really catching to the eye and fun to use! I weigh myself every morning right when I get up and I will continue to use this app even when I reach my goal. It’s a great way to stay accountable and be honest about where you are. I would rather notice if I gained 2 pounds then after I’ve gained 10. It’s pretty easy to fix a 2 pound gain. As old as I am getting 50 LOL I need to keep track I don’t want to ever get out of shape again. People, just because we’re getting older does not mean we have to get fatter that’s a lie!

Happy Scale Saved My Sanity. It has literally kept me sane! I have been using it since February 2018. In 2011 after losing over 100 pounds I weighed every day to ensure that I caught myself if my weight started to trend upwards. By 2016 my weight was trending upwards. I was still a healthy weight but each day every fluctuation in the scale determined how I felt about myself and was driving me crazy. But it I couldn’t stop weighing daily for fear that I if I didn’t keep track would regain all of tthe weight. I started using Happy Scale and it truly helped me put my weight into perspective. Now I do not fret about minor fluctuations in the scale. If my weight is up one day I look back to that date last year and see that my average weight is the same. And if my weight is truly going up I can catch it at the 2-5 pound mark and get back on track. Now I realize that I am, and have always been, will probably always be somewhat neurotic about my body shape and size, but Happy Scale has really improved my mental state and for that I thank you.

Best weight tracking app to date!!. Since I’m over 50, it’s been even more challenging to maintain a healthy weight. This app has been a game changer in the way I can keep track of my weight loss or gains. The most important thing is to trend in the right direction!! This app helps me see my trends. It keeps me on track and allows me to adjust my diet, workouts and hormones accordingly! If I’m treading up; I make a few tweaks to start trending down. I have even adjusted my supplements based on my trends. Everyone has their own reasons for weight gain and losses. I figured out that mine is “mainly hormones. That was the thing I had to adjust for my downward trend. You can find yours by matching your own patterns with your own trends. Stick to what works best for you! Good luck. It’s not an easy task! All in all I’m keeping this application for ever!

The first app I use each day. I got this app over a year ago based on a recommendation from a friend. Upgraded to the paid version a couple months later. Over several months, it tracked my goal to lose 50 lbs. Even at the goal weight, I didn’t want to stop using it, so now it tracks the small ups and downs as I maintain. I’ve n get had a problem with it and would recommend it. When I upgraded phones earlier this year, I was able to transfer the history. I had to create a drop box account though. It would be nice to have a more seamless option. For example, phone to phone if on the same WiFi, or maybe a transfer server hosted by the app developer that’s used to temporarily copy the download behind the scenes. But that’s a minor thing. Love the app.

One of my favorite apps. I’ve struggled with weight my entire adult life, and I love having data, so this app is pretty much perfect for me. Seeing the normalized trend, the rates, and various ways of projecting out into the future is incredibly reassuring and insightful. I can’t give this app high enough praise! If I could ask for one feature request, it would be a way to mark a date as a breakpoint in the trend. For example, I went on a week-long trip and by the scale weight I gained six pounds (it was AWESOME). I’d love to be able to not normalize across that range of time, and instead set the beginning of the trip, meaning the last date of regular weigh-ins, as the end of a trend line and start a new one upon returning. This would make it easier to appreciate the different phases of weight change overtime, or to see more discretely how a change in diet or regimen effects weight. Another example: I recently started intermittent fasting and my weight trend is very different. I’d love to be able to pin that date and the moving average trend leading up to it, because now my prior moving averages are all sliding down and I can’t see a clean break in the moving average where I started IF. The scale weight tells the story well, but the moving average smooths it out too well.

Wonderful! But a little anticlimactic. I have been using this app for a little more than 3 years. It’s been a great motivator to see my progress over such a long period of time. I initially dropped a lot of weight but then it slowed to a trickle over the last year and a half and having my total weight lost sitting there as a reminder was a great way to ensure I kept going. My only complaint is that today, after 3 years, I hit my goal weight and… nothing. When I first started, I set my goal weight as something I didn’t think I would ever actually achieve being in my 30s and having had three babies. But today I did it, and I actually beat it by a few tenths of a pound. I’m proud of myself but there was absolutely no acknowledgement in the app that I achieved my goal beyond it saying that 10/10 milestones were completed 100%. Maybe a “fix” that celebrates the hard work? 70 pounds (and I’m sure other people have lost more!) lost is no easy feat!

Goal Oriented - This App is for You!. Over the past few years, through stress eating, I had put on about 40 pounds. Two years of dieting only put on more weight. Happy Scale provided an visual and goal oriented alternative to other apps or programs. I set my goal at my target weight (about 40 pounds), with a lofty goal of three pounds a week. The app then breaks your goal into smaller goals. I chose 10 smaller increments. It given you an expected target weight date and a target date for each smaller goal. When you lose, an animated meter appears showing your progress. After weighing each morning I was able to put in my weight and see my progress. Gain a few pounds? The only way it shows up is on your graph. Your smaller goals still remain the same. I am proud to say that 7 months I have not dieted, but worked to change my eating habits all to meet small weight loss goals. It is much easier to work at losing 4 pounds than 40 pounds on a daily basis. I am now down 40 pounds with only a few more pounds to go. Thank you happy scale for making weight loss charting easy and fun!

Happy scale, happy user. Hey there :) I just wanted to write and say how much I love this app. I have downloaded probably 40 or 50 different weight tracking apps and every single one was a flop. I attribute a huge amount of my success in weight loss to your little icon (and obviously the app it opens 😉). I’ve battled eating disorders, I’ve tried every diet and eating trend, and I have always felt my scale lurking in the corner. Whether it was there tempting me to see if that 15 minute bike ride helped me lose 1/2 a pound from my previous weight, or mocking me to let me know how much weight I’d gained from the 9 fast food meals I’d had that week. The scale was never my friend. Now this may seem silly, but your app name was what attracted me, happy scale. The little icon is so simple but I couldn’t help thinking “awwww that little face wants me to succeed”. Then, through using the app I realized something: weight trends. Over the months I started noticing patterns. I wasn’t just a fatty McFatfat. This little app gave me a happy place to see that it wasn’t always one step forward two steps back. I love the color schemes, I love the set up, I love watching the trends change when I log a new weight. There are so many wonderful aspects of Happy Scale thank you so much!!

Best weight tracking app on the market. This has been the most influential weight loss app I think I’ve ever used! I lost ~50 lbs while using it, and while of course the app isn’t completely responsible it played a huge role. One of my big hang ups with weight loss is that when I see that I have gained weight, I get discouraged, even though we have completely normal fluctuations everyday and so many factors can contribute at any given moment (food weight, water retention, hormones, etc.). Happy scale let’s you see past that, and see that despite a slight increase on the scale you are still on track, which keeps me encouraged to keep going. The only thing preventing me from giving this app a 5 star rating is what happens once you’ve reached your goal weight. I have now reached my goal weight, and use happy scale to make sure I am on track with maintaining. However, even if you are below your goal weight, if you lose weight the app tells you your trends have “improved” and that you have “made progress”. This is a very bad mindset, and encourages disordered habits. If I lose more weight I will be underweight! That should not be encouraged. If the developers could find a way to make this language more neutral, I would happily change my rating to a 5 star (and even without would still give it 4.5 if given the option!).

Love this, and export your data periodically!. This app is amazing and you should totally get it and pay the one time upgrade if you can afford it. It is worth it not to be afraid to step on the scale. It is very motivating when the smoothing shows you the fluctuations are just fluctuations and your trend is still good. There is an option in settings to leave a tip if you are so inclined, I found it so worth it so I did leave a tip. Thanks for making this app!!! But my iPad had trouble and was a brick, I am typing this on my phone... but my data was gone, I was very sad to lose my data. I do not understand backing up through Dropbox, I do not trust such sensitive data to Dropbox. So you will have to decide what to do. Missed that there was the option to do my own encrypted data file, export to excel etc, so do a backup! So much of my life was on my iPad, the apple store wanted to replace mine, but eventually they got a restore done and I did recover my data... but is was scary... back up your data

Excellent App. We all know that familiar feeling of getting on the scales and it seems our weight has jumped around. In those moments it’s hard not to get disappointed and be tempted to go off the rails a touch. But this app helps iron out the bumps on your weight tracking journey so you can see the trend line. Instead of feeling like quitting it really helps you stay on track. It’s very motivational with all the reports, graphs and intermediate goals. Motivating but simple. I love this app. I love the way it shows progress in several different ways. The predictive capability is remarkably accurate. The best thing about the app is its simplicity. It isn’t over-engineered, just simple tracking.

Worth the money. I use the premium version of this. At first I bought a yearly subscription, then when I came back to use this a year later, I decided to buy the permanent premium, one off version… because this is the greatest app! The premium version has so many great visuals that I find motivates me more to lose weight. The summary progress scale is particularly good, as it also tells you what percentage you’ve currently completed of your goal weight. Good colours. Good graphs. Good scales. Highly recommended. Best weight loss companion. Encouraging, realistic, predictions. A great ‘smart’ trend line that allows you to see your overall progress, even on the days/weeks you plateau or gain weight. I used to get so discouraged if I ever gained weight (when working hard to lose it), this app has me understanding that gains are part of the process and excited to jump on the scales! Also excellent for those that fast.

I use this app everyday and I love it!. Just upgraded to the add free version after using the free version for ages and loving every minute of it (the ads in the free version are really not that intrusive compared to some other apps). This is the best overall weight tracking app that I've found so far. I love the simplicity, the design, the colours and the way that it not only tracks progress but helps to keep me encouraged and motivated with predictions and milestones as I get closer to my target. You've done an amazing job guys and I wanted to say thank you, you really are helping people with this app :) My only feedback/suggestion would be an option to display BMI ranges/progress. I know that not everyone uses/counts this as relevant but it's another area where it could be helpful for people to see the progress they're making. I currently use 'AktiBMI' as well as Happy Scale so that I can monitor my BMI progress too, I like the speedo style dial which shows me where I'm at. Thanks again and lots of luv! Xoxo

I love how detailed it is and how it breaks weight loss down into doable goals! I love how customisable it is and I love the graphs and animations! Good at what it does. If all you want to do is track weight loss than this app is great. I tried a bunch then deleted them as I played with functionality and appearance - this is the only one that made the final cut. I love the milestones - it takes your goal weight and breaks the journey into 10 very visible milestones and tracks your progress against each one.

Happy Scale. I have used a number of weight tracking apps and Happy Tracker is by far the best. I like the forecasting section which drives my food and exercise behaviours to meet the targets. I also appreciate the many ways to customise the app.

Awesome app. I’ve been using this for years. It has helped me lose weight in a sensible manner, with its feature of being able to reduce a large number down in to small goals.

Had it for years. I’ve had this app for years at premium level. I like that I can change settings and predict future weight loss. It’s important to record regularly (in my opinion) whether you’ve gained or lost. Don’t be afraid to document the unfavourable results. I like how my long journey is broken down into smaller goals that I’ve customised. I can see what % of my goal I’ve reached and how many steps / stages left in my journey. The app rewards you when you’ve reached a goal “You’ve made progress”! I’m in Australia and I use this alongside Dieter’s Diary which has Aussie foods in its database whereas My Fitness Pal is geared towards US users.

What a weight app should be. Having used Happy Scale for about 5 years now I can say, well, I am very happy! I purchased the app only recently, after it gave me a friendly reminder I’d logged over 500 entries in it. These reminders only come once or twice a year, and I thought it about time I stumped up the cash. Happy Scale does exactly what it says it will do, log your weight. It’s design is very easy to follow, and the record keeping, with graphs over time etc. are easy to access and understand. Plain and simple this is just a great way to track your weight. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Best Weight Tracking App. I have used Happy Scale since it was first introduced as an app, and have watched it evolve over time. This app is perfect to track and weight loss goals, or as a tool as a part of your fitness journey either it be for weight gain or lose this app allows your to track all the key metrics you need to stay on track. Highly recommend this for and beginner that is starting out on their journey or any experienced athlete that is looking for another tool to track progress.

Best I have tried. Like all the diets out there I have tried just about all the weight trackers.. Happy scale seems to be the most motivating and easiest to use. Recent updates however made it so you had to look a bit harder to find your overall loss (or gain 😫)number to date. I think it used to show on the front nice and big to keep you going. It’s great how you can break your long term goal into smaller ones, makes it feel more achievable. Has been a big part of my 30kg weight loss journey so I would recommend it. Only gave 4 stars because I really think the overall figure of loss should be a bit easier to see when the app is open. I do love this app.

Love this app!. $7.99 to upgrade to weekly reports is way too much though. I’d pay $2.99 to support the developer but definitely not $7.99! If the developer would make their price more reasonable im sure more would buy it. Aside from that, when you hit goals it just flips over to your new goal but a little fireworks display or balloons exploding would be super cool to acknowledge hitting goal. Aside from the expense and no acknowledgement of reaching goals, love this app and use it daily.

Best way to monitor your weight.. Whether your trying to lose, gain or maintain your weight this is the perfect app. So easy to use and provides reassurance to get you out of your head after weighing in. Only reason it’s not 5 star is lack of a watch app. Would be great to be able to see my weight or trends as a complication. Would really help when temptation calls.

Such a great app!. This app has helped me maintain a positive mindset with myself and my weight as I work on weight loss. It celebrates all the wins - big or small, doesn’t throw BMI in your face and let’s you set your own goals so you’re going at a realistic pace for yourself. The interface is customizable too which is nice. I’ve had this app for years and will keep coming back to it any time I need it.

Not so daunting. Breaking up my weight loss into smaller chunks has helped me forget about how far away the end goal is. So user friendly its doesn’t need prompts. The app is so user friendly that you won’t be random prompts it’s actually laid out really well and it’s great so be able to see the small progress without the random spikes demotivating you

Best weight management app available!. This app is fantastic! It has so many excellent user-friendly features and is highly customisable! It's great if you want to lose, gain or maintain your weight. I've been using it for years and it has been my best tool to help me keep on top of my weight to make sure I can manage that aspect of my health as best I can.

Motivational app. This app has a lot of smaller goals to reach which are motivational to reach. It has easy-to-read mini tallies: lost in 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and all time. I have to use a second app to tell me my BMI, which the free portion of this app doesn’t include. Over all, I like this app. I give bonus points for the developer speedily helping me fix an issue I had where all-time weight loss was lower than ninety-day weight loss. That was impressive.

Great App!. I love how the app is laid out, so easy to use and it makes tracking your weight less stressful through seeing the trends. This shows you the overall picture and I love seeing the predictions of weight loss over time too.

Little deceiving but still good!. I really like the App but I found the pricing to be deceiving. It showed a price to pay for a year and upon making the payment it charged basically DOUBLE what I believed I was paying because I’m guessing they didn’t show me the pricing in AUD? I think that’s the only way it could have happened! So I’m not very happy about that and am considering asking for a refund.

A little basic. I upgraded to the full app to access the projections but I would expect a lot more from an app that costs this much. I have other paid apps that do far far more so I think this isn’t really very good value for money. At the very least I would expect it to have BMI scale. I wish I had shopped around first before upgrading.

Amazing. This app is honestly amazing. So simple but so effective! I lost almost 20 pounds in a couple months because I wanted to beat the app and it’s predictions. Towards the end I got stuck for about 2 weeks without losing weight, so I just deleted and reinstalled the app because I felt like the longterm predictions made me lose the motivation I had. Now I’m on my way to another 10 pounds!

The best weight tracker. This app is the reason I have an iPhone. Exclusive high quality apps that improve my life. I love that it syncs with the Health app because I have a smart scale and it’s magic to simply weight myself in the morning and have Happy Scale updated almost immediately. Keep up with the good work! And if I might suggest an idea for a second app it would be an intermittent fasting tracker with the same philosophy.

Great app!. I got in on this app early it seems so it seems I was given a premium membership. However I would pay for a year’s subscription in a heart beat. No need for you to make up a spreadsheet to get your average weight loss as the app dies it for you. Enter your current weight , your goal weight and the rate you wish to lose at. Milestones are set up for you. Love watching the signs flip over to know that I’ve accomplished another milestone and that lets me know how many days I can expect to reach the next milestone. Very easy to use!!!

Happy Scale, simple to use and info that’s practical. I have been using this a long time and I find this weight tracking APP easy to use and it’s information that’s shown in graphs and goals are very practical. I like pulling the graph showing one years data when I go to my doctor. It really shows the ups and downs of weight loss. Most important it shows info over time and weight loss takes time. Looking at the app and the different reports help validate what I feel. In a lot of ways if helps you be accountable to you, and that works for me.

Great app but premium is problematic. I absolutely love this app in its design and functionality. It’s been great for tracking progress but also keeping me sane for those fluctuations. I took a star away because the subscription option makes zero sense for an app like this. I would absolutely be willing to pay for this app but an ongoing subscription is stupid in this case.

A great motivator. I weigh myself daily, and this well designed app gives me tons of data to monitor my weight. It is a great way to be accountable and it is rewarding to see your progress to your weight goal and then have a tool for the hard part-maintence. Money well invested in my health.

Early days user. I downloaded this app when it first came out. I have NEVER been disappointed. User friendly and easy to navigate. Keeps me motivated and on track. If you are looking for an easy to use weight tracker this is the best one you’ll find.

Great tracker. Main app is visually very impressive. Trends are more important than individual data points. Lots of modifications can me made to colour scale and makes the journey enjoyable. Time Saver for me as I used to manually generate these plots in excel. Note to dev: widget could do with some scale bars. I assume it’s very difficult to create a widget that looks like the monthly report complete with lagging colour code but that would make this so incredible.

Most Used App I’ve Ever Owned. My first entry in my log in this app was back in September of 2013. Since then, it’s been my constant companion for tracking my weight. The ups and downs of my yo-yo dieting in the past were recorded with precision. That information spurred me on to get super serious about losing my weight once and for all. The app is very easy to use. It’s simplicity is its strength. Simply enter your weight every day and it will track not only your ‘raw’ weight, but it can predict your future weight based on your past trajectory. I’ve had the ability to ‘go back in time’ by seeing a good photo of myself, wondering, “how much did I weigh then?”. I would go back to this app and find the date in my log and see what it was. The app congratulates you with your achievements and breaks down your weight goal into little chunks you tackle one at a time. I cannot recommend this app enough to anyone serious about losing weight and keeping accurate records of their journey.

What a great app and company. Wow, I’m so impressed with this little app, the free version has so much to offer I didn’t even need the paid premium but I bought it anyway cause I just want to support this amazing company! If only all app makers put this much love into their apps! What I love most about this app is the algorithm it uses to show your average weight. Sometimes my weight will flux by as many as 4-5 lbs in a few days which can be really triggering if you see your weight go up suddenly, but this app is teaching me to think long term not just what happens to show on the scale today! So thank you for such a useful app, I love it!

Perfect for what I need. I’ve had this app for a couple of years now and I really enjoy the degree to which it tracks both short-term and long-term progress. I have had a 5% weight loss during that time which has significantly improved my health. I can see my trends over the past couple years and when I have trouble and how to adjust. For me it is very motivating to measure what I am trying to accomplishAnd it focuses just on one thing – weight and trending. I am not hard-core dieting but just changing my food selection. Although my weight has gone up and down it is gratifying to see a gradual trend lower towards my ideal weight. Because I can see my trend if it is going back up it motivates me to re-commit to my food choices.

Amazing features to keep you motivated. This app has been a critical feature to keep me motivated over a long weight loss journey. It shows projected weight a week, two weeks, a month in the future, with options to add when you’ll reach a certain weight (like your bmi change from “overweight” to “normal”) or weight by a certain date (like your high school reunion). When I’m thinking about a second piece of cake, I open this app and look at my predictions. It makes staying in my calorie range feel like a game when I can see the numeric rewards. In addition to this, you can see your progress and trends, and a nice chart of you like that sort of visual. Really amazing app!

Great app. It’s too bad that I can’t give this app 6 stars. Not only does it do its job well, it also cares about the little details that make for a great user experience. Most apps these days force you to dismiss a modal dialog when they want you to read their release notes. This can make for a poor user experience especially if you want to get in and get out of an app quickly. Thankfully, Happy Weight does it right. When there are updates that you need to know about, you get a discreet badge on the configuration button. Clickable on your schedule not the developer’s. It may seem small but attention to detail like this is a hallmark of a great app.

Effective. It won’t win awards for Apple-centric design and the widgets are nothing special. It doesn’t look or feel like an iPhone app. But it does one thing very well that few if any other apps do: calculate your weight as a moving average (in fact it is a little more sophisticated than that, but that’s the idea). So instead of weighing yourself only weekly (because the data is so noisy) you can weigh yourself every day and trust all those ups and downs will get averaged out into a high-quality prediction of what you actually weigh and where your weight is going. The solution to noisy data isn’t less data, it’s more data with better analysis.

It keeps you sane!. I’ve always been stressed about losing weight, and any time I see any gain I’m upset and sabotage myself in some way. However with Happy Scale I can see the bigger picture, and can see my general progress. What I lost over a week, 30 days, 90 days etc with moving averages. Which continues to update and tell me how close I am to my goal. Also the milestones have helped so much! They keep my goals small and obtainable! I had 60+lbs to lose. Over the course of 2ish years of ups and downs I am 56lbs down and Happy Scale helped me make it happen! I also love that the developer honored those who are grandfathered in to the purchase of the app. Seems like a real stand up person! Thank you!

Genuinely the best weight tracking app. If you weigh yourself every day, you’ll know it can be hard to see the patterns in that data. Up a pound one day, down half a pound the next, but where are you really at? Happy Scale takes the guesswork and the emotion out of the process. Weigh yourself every day, enter the weight (or get a smart scale that integrates with Apple Health, and it’ll do it for you), and Happy Scale will tell you where you’re at. Tell it your goals (weight loss, gain, or maintenance) and it’ll celebrate the milestones along the way without judging you for your stumbles. My only quibble is that it doesn’t help track body fat percentage as well as weight.

Best most reliable app ever. I’ve been using this app since, no joke, 2016. So many apps just expand and expand beyond their original mission and become buggy and bloated and annoying. Not this one! It is the ONLY app that has remained on every one of my phones over the last 7 years. And throughout that time, this app has never once crashed or lost my data. Recently I dropped my phone in water — and that’s how I discovered that this app’s backup system is also amazing. Basically, Happy Scale is the platonic ideal to which all other apps should aspire: it offers one service, which it provides brilliantly and reliably. Long live Happy Scale!

Great find!. The developer, Russ, was very helpful to me to figure out quickly a few of the important capabilities of this nice app. I was looking for something that would take the place of my spreadsheet, and this is perfect. No hassle, does all that I need. Just input your weight each day, and get a nice visual chart of your progress, for time periods of your choice, such as a week, 30 days, 90 days, a year, or all. Nice capabilities, such as backup, moving average, goal weight, and others. I wish it didn’t depend on Dropbox, however. That dependence has caused me some difficulties over the years I’ve used Happy Scale.

Love this app!!!. I’ve been using this app to track my weight for about a year. The free part is all you might want , it really is very easy and helpful to show you how the weight is moving in either direction. Reaching each milestone is satisfying amd watching the reels move is satisfying too. I did just recently “subscribe “ only because it was a reasonable price and I do use the app daily. I did meet my goal weight. Only thing is I do wish it would give you some kind of “ pop up message “ when you do. It was uneventful 😂. I like to see the “great job!” When reaching the goal I guess. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

Glad to have found this when it first came out. I have used this app since it's early stages. It has been very helpful in my health journey. Unfortunately my fiancé passed in 2021 from Covid. I gained back the weight I lost. today marks 20 months he's been gone. I'm pulling up my bootstraps and starting to live instead of just existing. I turned 60 this year. My metabolism has certainly changed. I know this app will be helpful and motivating to help me get healthier again. I also want to get back to bike riding. Are used to average 100 miles a week right now I'd be lucky to do a 2 mile trip n be exhausted.

A++ Rate w/ only 1 Flaw. I have been using this app for two years now. It is a great for showing you an ACCURATE weight change overtime. Even if you skip a day or so you will be able to see your overall weight loss in weeks, months & years. This IS a highly positive visual reinforcement tool for days your body natural fluctuations. My ONE COMPLAINT is that my old data did not transfer with my new phone. I didn't have to repurchase the app etc. But all of my data for the 18mos prior to my current phone was lost. It is not the end of the world but definitely heartbreaking to loose this motivation. I still HIGHLY recommend this app

Perfect. This is a fun app for helping you understand mild weight fluctuations that occur along the way of your weight loss journey. I also love the milestones feature that help you set mini-goals for yourself. When you have a big weight loss goal it’s good to pace yourself slowly for permanent weight loss and celebrate. Celebrating mini losses of 2 to 5 lbs can help. There is a great graph feature that helps you visualize that journey. My weight loss has been slow but turning on the graph feature and seeing how much those slow mini losses add up to big changes overtime keeps me on track. To the developer: You have created a clean user friendly interface and kept the cost extremely affordable along the way. Well done!

Effective Tool. While a lot of people don’t want to weigh themselves daily, and in fact most health experts say once a week, this app gives me better info if I weigh in daily. If you get discouraged or triggered by that scale number, don’t look! Let the Bluetooth do your recording. Then check it out once a week. Watch your body weight trends and more importantly let this app tell you through its predictive algorithm which way you are headed! I love it! And when I put my goal weight in, and it tells me when it thinks I will meet that goal, I get a little competitive and try to beat it! Cuz ya know, the machines can’t win! 😅

Lost all my data. Pushes premium down your throat.. You can only use one month at a time unless you pay. They push “premium”constantly. (This app used to be completely free). There are other options that are for pay only, but the one month limit is a deal breaker for me. I only want a simple place to log my weight and there are a lot of free apps available to choose from. Then, if that’s not bad enough, I opened the app yesterday and all my previous log-ins were missing and the date was March 2023! It wouldn’t let me move to the current date. I closed the app and reopened several times without success and finally I deleted the app and reinstalled. The date is now correct but of course all my previous weigh-ins are gone forever. I need a reliable weight tracking app, so Happy Scale is gone forever too.

Wow!!. I seriously can’t believe how much this has helped with my weight loss goals. After a few weeks of steady loss, I usually get tired of dieting which causes a stall and then I give up entirely. The double-exponential moving average makes a huge difference to me. The second I go above my trend line, I become very motivated to “catch back up.” Being an analyst/statistician by trade, I have always used my own trackers, but none have been nearly as effective as this one; primarily because of its ease of use and the fact that it only takes a day or two of being “off the wagon” for me to go above the trend line, encouraging me to get serious again. Fantastic, app. Thank you SO MUCH!!

The Best for Weightloss. Staying on a diet is hard. This app makes it easy to see your goals and that it will take time even at a steady weightloss rate. I like how you can personalize the milestones and when you will reach a certain goal and what weight you’ll be by a certain date. It is fun to log in every day to see how your progessing. It is a quick process to add an entry. Simple and inntuitive. The charting is great! I’m having success on my diet very much in part because of this app. I’m not discouraged by how slow its going because it looks fast by the charts. I’ll make my goal because I can see the finish line.

Happy Scale APP. By using this app it has been the first time in all my years of trying to lose weight that I have reached my goals!! The app lets you break down your ultimate goal into short term goals and seeing the colored dots change colors with each completion is very motivating if you are a visual learner. Having the confetti blow up , the “you’ve made progress “ and “ your trends improved have been so encouraging and has made trying to lose weight and weigh in FUN!! I set my first goal for 9 months and when I reached that I printed a screenshot and then set my next goal for 8 months! This app has ingrained in me that consistency is KEY and don’t give up!! I lose very slow but this app kept me motivated to not give up! Thank you HAPPY SCALE!

Blissfully simple. I’m the type of person who OBSESSES over metrics. So the fact that this app only tracks my weight is a welcome relief. Instead of having to check a million things I can only input my weight. Daily. Now I may still look at the charts a few times throughout the day but I don’t have to worry about a million other metrics. Also, the moving average graph is incredibly helpful on those dark days when you feel like you aren’t making progress. The final goal date helps me frame the weight loss in the long term which also helps maintain perspective. I’ve been using the app for over a month and my goal is still 5 months out. However, I know I’ll keep using this daily to track that progress.

Body Fat Feature Requested. This app is very well done and presented. Interface was seamless, the charts and graphs were detailed and visually appealing. The ability to export to CSV is an amazing (and for me) a must have feature. This saves so much time in my overall fitness effort. The app lacks ability to track body fat which is a huge gap the developers should fill. Many people have access to body fat analyzer scales at home or at the gym and not being able to track that data here I think is an oversight. More importantly my personal fitness goal is not a weight number it is a body fat target. I would like to be under 15%. I imagine many other people have similar goals. If happy scale adds ability to track body fat this app instantly becomes 5 stars.

LOVE this app !!. Been using this for almost a month and I love it! It shows you your weight trends in a million different ways, adjusts each time you submit a weight, and gives you a lot of room for customization. The free app without the upgrade is awesome enough, but if you want to upgrade it’s just one charge, not monthly or anything, and I think it would just make a really awesome app even more awesome! All the animations and ways I can see how I’m achieving my goal even if my weight fluctuates makes me excited to check the app instead of dread it. It was definitely made by an amazing programmer and it’s user friendly and colorful to the eye to boot! Definitely would recommend, download it now !!

Very reliable weight loss app. I have used the Happy Scale app for more than 90 days it has proven to be very reliable and no crashes. I see my ups and downs in weight loss and this app is encouraging to keep going. I like the colorful graphs for progress. What I especially like about this app is that the small amount of weight I lose will still show up in my progress. Losing weight is difficult because there are so many temptations with fast food and large servings at restaurants. Plus the appetizers have turned into full entrees, almost. I am ready to make a purchase for this app and look forward to the other options that will be available. I hope the developer will keep going with his app as it is proving to be a good one for weight loss.

Finally “Seeing” Weight Loss!. I LOVE this app. My weight fluctuates wildly from day to day, making it hard to see the impact of daily food choices (some may call it cheating) on my overall rate of weight loss. With Happy Scale I finally have a way to see how I’m really doing. I’m able to more easily spot patterns, such as what happens the several days after I eat a restaurant meal. (I’ve apparently been underestimating calories.) My weekly weight loss rate has accelerated as a result of using this app. Also, data privacy is important to me and I was glad to find an app that doesn’t store my data on a corporate server somewhere or sell my data to third parties. Kudos and gratitude to the developer!

Just downloaded!! Love it so far!. So far so good! Love the dashboard customizations and the metrics are phenomenal. Super motivating and exactly what I was looking for. I was using a irl journal to track this stuff but when I lost it my progress went down hill. So happy to have found an app the does the same thing but better! One feature request: being able to drag the dashboard metrics around to reorder them instead of having to do it in settings. Similar to how you rearrange apps on a phone. Also not the hugest fan of the icon/app logo. It feels a little childish instead of motivating, but these are both small things I can totally live with given all the awesomeness the app provides!

Keeps me on trac. This is my most used health app. I love the averaging aspect which keeps me from panicking if my weight varies from day to day. I’ve been using HS for over three years almost daily. For anyone who needs daily accountability, as I do, this app is perfect. I love all the different ways in which you can view your progress, even entering a weight and getting an estimate as to when that weight will be accomplished. This is in addition to the actual goal weight. It’s a small goal within a goal. This is a must for anyone interested in losing weight and having personal, private accountability.

Love the data I get from this app. This seems like a simple tracking of weight loss app, but since I am very goal driven it helps me stay motivated. I have a lot of weight to lose, so being able to slice it into milestones is great. And when I slide back up a little the smoothing effect of the app makes me feel better and see I am still on a downward trend. I also love how the app shows the weight I have lost like a countdown when I open the app. Rather than getting overwhelmed with the amount I have to lose (from years of being put on prednisone) I concentrate on the next one to three milestones, which I have set up as 100 increments. If you are goal oriented this app is great.

My Silver Bullet. My weight loss journey changed completely when I started using Happy Scale. I wondered why I was getting fluctuations when I weighed myself, and had such trouble figuring out what was working and what wasn’t. Then the tracking began. Switching to a mindset of weighing every day can be hard, but it pays off in heaps and heaps of data. From that, I get to focus on trends, and not just a bouncing number on the scale. I can see what works, when it’s just a plateau, or if it’s time to mix things up. Most importantly, the UI is approachable and the app is geared towards meaningful, achievable goal setting that builds to larger goals. It keeps you honest and it keeps me motivated. Edit to update: 50lbs down! This app continues to be my companion and cheerleader through all the ups and downs.

App Provides What’s Missing In Weight Loss Plans!. This app is great for people that need to see immediate visual results! Since weight loss is a slow process, being able to see immediate results in the graph, and seeing the progress towards the weekly goal provides badly-needed motivation. This is what’s been missing in my weight loss plan. The only way this app could get any better is if it provided a way to input daily caloric intake, and maybe a little better instruction on how to sync the app between mobile devices (it makes you think you have to buy the app again in the new device, but that’s not the case). Great easy app!. I love the layout of this app. Easy to navigate, and i like the color schemes. I wish there were more color schemes centered around vibrant colors and flowerlike patterns. I also wish there was a button to track BMI... but that’s not necessary. I’ve been using the app for a month and have no complaints! I want to move to premium version ($5 is a very reasonable price if you ask me) but there aren’t that many extras which compel me to do so. I understand that the free version can’t be too plain, but I would love a few more bells and whistles, and I’m certainly willing to pay for those. Thank you for a great app! I look forward to seeing it develop.

Exactly what I needed and nothing more.. My whole family decided to work together this summer to get healthy, to lose weight, and this little app has been our constant companion. My husband, my teenage son, and I have the app set to break our goals into pound intervals, and each time one of us meets a new milestone, that’s “our night” to choose the family activity. Yesterday I hit a milestone and we all did Wii bowling! :). We love tracking our progress in the app WITHOUT also having to log calories or water or exercise...apps like that are too complicated for our purposes. We just want to clock and celebrate our progress. We lie Happy Scale!!

Happy Scale is awesome. I have tons of apps that I use or have used for tracking macros, and all of them have weight tracking. There is nothing new there at all. The thing that keeps bringing me back to Happy Scale in addition to the other food tracker I use is the ease of use and the different smoothing algorithms you can use. I can log in 10 seconds, glance at my progress, and be done with it and be confident that all my data is still in Dropbox. I make it a ritual to feed happy scale daily with data and am rewarded with insight. Until recently I haven’t been using the progress meter but now that I am back In action mode it is coming in handy. Highly recommended

Truly Happy. I am a dedicated LoseIt user. I follow the rules to a tee. The weight loss graph showing my progress is too depressing, so I only record once a week. It’s still discouraging. Then I found Happy Scale. What an uplifting perfectly crafted platform to help us defeat the down sides of achieving weight loss. I still weigh when I feel adventurous or curious. I only do it if I suspect a possible loss. And when it is even a .1 loss, I enter it on HS. On Saturdays, I log my weight in both apps. And I note my weight on my Google calendar every Saturday so I can do a search and see the weekly progress, which there always is, in numbers. And customer support is state of the art. Your future self will thank you for getting this app.

Encouraging App. You won’t believe this! I downloading this app yesterday at 9:22 PM, and it is now 12:22PM and I’m already feeling a difference. I feel more confident, I actually lost a pound already, which is not impressive, but it’s been a day. I’m sure I’ll get far with this app! I do like how it gives us a journal to write how we feel and it has a graph to see how much we’ve been happy and a bit down, and it helps people who have depression who don’t know how to explain theirselves to others because no one wants to hear it. I’ve been hiding my depression for years, and even from my parents. I’ve shared more with this app in less than a day than I could ever share with my parents in a million years. This app will, I guarantee, will blow up one day. Keep going!

Great app, great developer. This is a fantastic app for tracking your weight. It doesn’t count calories or track what you eat, so if you don’t need those features and you don’t want them cluttering things up and getting in the way, this is app for you. And even if you do use another app for calorie counting, I still recommend using this app for weight tracking because it does it so well. In addition, the developer is fantastically responsive. I emailed a question and got a friendly and helpful response in less than a day. The app is free and displays no adds, but if you use this app and find it useful, please consider giving the developer a tip in the settings menu.

The Best!. I went back through my logs in this app and discovered that I started using it in July of 2013. I guess I was one of the original users! It’s been updated since then. As I write it is now April of 2023. There were times when I entered nothing for long periods and then started again. I can see the gradual weight increase when I stopped logging — and the downward trends when I started logging again. I love the feature that shows if an individual day’s weight loss or gain is likely to be real or just a fluke, like water gain. It shows both — the weight you entered and what the likely reality is according to your current trend. Excellent! I highly recommend this app.

Helpful and encouraging. I am using this in addition to weight watchers. I weigh myself every day but you can only record one weight a week with weight watchers, so a bad weigh in can be very discouraging. Using this every day helps see if there’s a downward trend and you get a better idea of your progress overall. I love the trends it shows, the dates you’ll be able to reach different rates and the percentage of progress toward your goal. I would definitely recommend for weight loss and I think it would also be very useful if you were pregnant or trying to gain weight. I will keep using it after I make my goal to keep up with maintaining my weight loss as well.

Useful app. I have been using this app for a few weeks, and so far it's been helpful. All I have to do is add my weight each day (or however often you want), and it shows me daily, weekly, and monthly trends all in one location. I like the fact that it simply gives me numbers. There's no judgment, but when the weight goes down, it tells you that your trends have improved. This app has helped keep me accountable, and it will even set goals for you in chunks that it calls milestones. It lets you control the pace and what measurements you want to use. For a free app, it's certainly worth the time to give it a try. I'm glad I did.

Best weight tracking app. Positive change requires good data. I've tried my weight tracking apps over the years including Google Docs and Excel. The biggest downside of each was how much my weight fluctuates day to day. It made it difficult to understand the trends. This app is worth it just for the 10 day moving average that smooths out those messy weight changes and gives you an accurate snapshot of your last 10 days of weights. It's a game changer for trying to mange my weight and lose some weight. I like the dynamic and interactive graphs. It helps me quickly see my progress over time. Normally weight apps for me have been demotivating. This app has helped encourage me by seeing the progress I've already made. Thank you for the great app!

The Right Tool for the Right Approach. I love food. Food is my kryptonite. And then I gained over 100 lbs. For decades I have been feeling depressed and sick. I have lost weight and then got it back with a vengeance. But I have never given up. This time around, I came to terms with the fact that losing weight is not possible with an overeating lifestyle. I still eat anything I want and I still indulge in some excesses once in a while but eating less is the lifestyle now I have chosen. Forever. And I’m not disappointed. The weight is coming down. I lost 20 lbs in 6 weeks. It’s been (paraphrasing my favorite author) as easy as a children’s game and as hard as the work of giants. I am using also an app to count calories but HAPPY SCALE has really helped me with my goals. It is the right tool for the right approach. I’m not afraid of measuring my weight several times a week. Easy to use, helpful weight trends data and visuals. Easy to use. Intuitive features. I’m just getting started using the app, as part of a clean eating program. Using the app helps me stay on point with my nutrition habits, by keeping an eye on weight changes. It’s very easy to open the app and add my weight for the day with a simple click. Then I can immediately see my weight trends, updated in teal time, and if I want to dig in further, I can. I appreciate the trends data, and the ability to set a target weight, with the option for interim weight targets along the journey. Timeline and increments are flexible, and a achieving the milestones along the way feels good. The app automatically calculates milestones (interim weight goals) you can achieve along your journey to your target weight. That’s a helpful feature. It’s interesting to see my weight “consolidate” at a certain weight, or plateau for a bit, along the journey, before progressing lower again. This is isn’t driven by the app, but the visualizations help you see how your weight is trending over time. Don’t be discouraged if you achieve weight targets, only to gain a little back again before progressing … it’s all part of the process.

Fun to use. Love this app! It’s super motivating, and provides a breakdown of bigger goals - which can be overwhelming - into smaller week to week and incremental progress objectives. Naming this app “happy” is on point. It definitely celebrates successes instead of just logging numbers and/or providing sad little graphs that project how far you have to go. Happy Scale celebrates how far you’ve come by letting you visualize each milestone to focus on small steps. Most other weight apps, including those within diet/fitness apps, don’t reflect progress this type of progress. This app turns any loss into a positive gain, giving an overall feeling that progress is progress, no matter how big or small. Thanks for making weight loss not so miserable, and in fact, sometimes not so bad!

The BEST weight tracking app!. I have been using this app since 2019 after hearing about it on a podcast. It goes way beyond what other apps offer in terms of weight tracking because it really crunches the numbers for you and allows you to see moving averages, set goals and see patterns and trends in your weight over periods of time. It shows you charts, graphs and reports, and give you choices about what you want to see and how you want the numbers/ data presented to you. Weight is just one piece of your health data, but this app can help you figure out what it means by showing you the big picture as well as the details. Cannot recommend enough!

100 pounds lost using Happy Scale!. This app is simple, yet effective. It takes the pressure off of weigh-ins and helps you look past the numbers and see the bigger picture. I log my weight almost every day, so it is very helpful to have so much data to look back on. Transferring data between devices was a breeze. After many successful months, I paid for the deluxe version to support the app. I do enjoy the few extra perks, like seeing my estimated weight by a certain date. I was surprised when I hit my goal that there was no congratulatory message. I emailed my feedback and got such a nice reply from the creator. I appreciate that he really seems to care about the people using the app.

Weighing myself is no longer frustrating!. I love this app. I love how it breaks down my goal weight in milestones, tracks how many I lost per week / month and predicts what weight I would be at a certain date with a current rate of loss. But my favorite features is how it smoothes up those daily ups & downs and shows me my average so I know my weight is going down. This way I focus on a big picture instead of that darn +0.8 mysterious gain out of nowhere. If I could request a feature for the pay version, I would love optional fields to add my fat % and muscle % because my fancy scale measures and it would be great to track how my body composition changed with weight loss

Incredible App!!. Thank you so much Russ for all of the time and care you’ve put into this app. My wife and I are using it to reach our weight loss goals after she had our second child. We’re down ~40 lbs. combined and we’re only getting started. As an iOS app developer myself I really appreciate all the work that has gone into this app and that you don’t lock the main functionality behind deluxe mode. That fact alone makes me want to support developers like you! We’ll be buying the full version of the app in next month’s budget, not because I need those features but because I appreciate you and your work. Keep it up!

This Was What I Was Looking For. I just wanted to track my weight loss without it being complicated. I didn't need to count my calories, calculate my BMI, track my exercise or anything else. This app is perfect for me. I told it what I weighed and what I wanted to weigh, as well as how many pounds a week I thought I would have the willpower to lose. Now the app only needs me to enter my weight each time I weigh myself and it does the calculations for me. I asked it to set ten mini-goals along the way, to encourage me to keep going. I can look back over my record to see how far I've come and because the app calculates changes over several days, the daily ups and downs are smoothed out and don't depress me. I like what it does and I've lost eight pounds so far.

Love this app!. This app is so clean and perfect for tracking weight loss. I use the "moving average" feature so that one bad weigh in does not derail my mood or discount all of the progress that I have made. I used to be terrified of scales, and the idea of weighing myself daily felt like a nightmare. This app takes the pressure off of the weekly or biweekly weigh in, because every day doesn't matter as much as long as the trend line goes down. I love looking at all the graphs and statistics, and the look of the app is very clean. No ads really makes the app worth the purchase IMO. Thank you to the developer for making a perfect app! This might be my favorite one on my phone.

Great for weight loss. I love this app! I have been struggling to lose weight all my life. And getting on the scale is the hardest part. By forcing myself to hop on the scale each day I have not only kept my weight on the downward trend, but have also conquered my fear of the scale. I love that this app breaks my weight loss goals into smaller goals! I’m not one that’s going to lose 10 pounds right away, but being able to celebrate the small victories has made me so happy. I love watching the app when I have met a goal! It’s great! Highly recommend to those who have trouble losing weight or need motivation. I also love that even tho your weight might be up one day, it doesn’t reflect negatively on the app.

Used for years! Best weight tracking app. I don’t know why I’ve never reviewed Happy Scale. It has been a comprehensive reliable tool during my weight loss journey. I have dealt with weight fluctuations through pregnancy, postpartum, a hypothyroidism diagnosis, and two rounds of weight loss. I have lost over 80 lbs and while all my other apps have changed Happy Scale remains a constant widget on the front page of my phone. It is the only app that gives me a full comprehensive breakdown of my weight while retaining my emotional and mental health by measuring it on a curve. It connects to my Bluetooth scale without any extra work from me. I recommend this app to everyone I know in the weight loss community both online and off.
