Love it but can you change one thing. I really love paramount + because it has all kinds of shows and movies I can’t watch anywhere else but the only thing I would change is how it is when you just press the home button. You know how apps like Netflix or Disney + have it where when you go to the Home Screen and other apps it will have the little screen in a corner that is still playing the show/movie even if your not in the app that provides the show or movie? That’s what I want for paramount +. It would make things a lot easier for when say I have to look something up or something like that. I don’t want to have to get off of the show to do something small while I’m super invested in what’s happening. I really hope you take this suggestion and put it in your next update. ❤️❤️❤️ Also I have never had any of the problems so many people are complaining like idiots about. Whenever I watch paramount + on tv or on my phone, I have no problems at all. The most problems I had with it was that it skips a couple of seconds into a new episode.

Good content with horrendous app performance. Honestly this app has great shows but the app itself is totally unusable on the iPhone. First of all, I paid for the premium membership because it was advertised as letting you download your shows for airplanes, car rides, etc. In reality you get to choose from about 20-25 shows. All of them are either MTV shows like Jersey Shore or kids shows like rug rats... I can honestly say that neither of those genres are for me and in my mind that was misleading advertising. Second, sometimes the app completely denies me from pausing a show. I can skip forward and backward but under no circumstances will it let me pause it. I literally have to close the app to get it to stop playing which can get very aggravating. Third, if you close out of the app to answer a text / call / get your show to pause / any other reason it will crash when you get back to it and put you on an entirely new episode. Hopefully you have incredible memory or else you’ll never find out which episode you were on ever again. Every update solves 1 issue and creates 2 more. I’ve had this app for a few months now and it just gets worse and worse. Other than those issues the Smithsonian Chanel has some good shows that make this app somewhat worth it but to be honest I would never recommend that anyone spend a penny on with this app.

This is a awesome streaming service. I love this, streaming service it, has some very amazing shows that, I like and, movies like Star Trek and, more and this, show has some of, my shows that, I watched when I was little which is, amazing and, I think this, streaming service is, so sweet because I get to, watch some of the, shows and, movies that, I really wanna watch on here like Star Trek and, even ICarly too, which is, also another thing that, I always have energy to, watch with its, reboot and, original series because that, show is, so awesome so I love this, streaming service! and, also I also wanted this app because I wanted to, watch the, new ICarly revival so I don’t miss it, because I love ICarly and this, app made me watch all the, other awesome movies and, shows on here because some of them, were from when I was little and there, were some that, I was very interested in, watching that I have not seen too that, I get to, love too, like Star Trek ICarly and it’s, seasons and, revival Paw Patrol and, more which is, amazing too, So I think this is a, nice streaming service.

Not up to standards. What goes through my mind every time I open this app for ios, or the TV version (LG) is that the folks who designed this app tech never watched Netflix. After many years, Netflix got it right and these guys (Paramount) somehow thought it was a good idea to start from scratch. It’s a very heavy app, so your network speed needs to be stellar at all times or it will buffer every few seconds (Netflix circa 2017). It doesn’t remember shows in a series that you’ve already watched, so if you forget which one you are on, you have to scroll through all of them and guess. It does sort of remember the one you were watching last only on the main screen of the show, but when you click Episodes, you always start at season 1, episode 1 even if the last episode you watched was season 6, episode 24 (again, the developers never watched netflix apparently). However, since they removed all of their shows from other streaming networks, if you like Star Trek or Frazier, you have no choice but to deal with it (and pay for it, of course). Very substandard in the most basic things, but I’m sure they will eventually get it right and make the app experience as enjoyable as the the content.

Crashes, loses spot, makes you watch unnecessary commercials. If I could give this app 0 stars, I would. When I use this app with Chromecast, it constantly crashes and not only does the app crash, it causes my Chromecast to crash as well. Then when everything comes back up, it doesn’t start your show at the same spot AND makes you watch commercials before it even starts at the wrong spot, then chances are you’re gonna have to fast forward thru a scheduled commercial break and then you’re gonna have to wait for those as well. It’s ridiculous. Such a horrible bug needs to be fixed and be fixed NOW. Then there’s the horrible lack of certain content. If people are paying for this service, ALL of the CBS library should be available. I imagine a lot of people want a CBS service so they can watch shows like The Big Bang Theory. Welp. Sorry. YOU ONLY GET 5 EPISODES. Are you kidding me? One of their most popular shows and you can only watch the last 5 episodes?? Do your fans a favor and give them the content they want instead of asking for more money on top of the money you already ask for the streaming service. Horrible.

Improvements needed. I subscribed to this app to watch 1883. Upon opening the app it is hit and miss if it’ll work. Sometimes it works but most of the time I receive a streaming error. (All other devices in our home work fine). If the app decides to load, maneuvering through the various shows is temperamental. Just when I think I found the show I want to watch and click on it, low and behold the delayed cursor moves over and decides I need to watch a different show. Also, there are waaay too many ads during the shows. For an app, that I pay for each month, you’d think the ads could be lessened. *Edited to add after the developer responded to my above review: 1.) The technical issues seem to be happening with everyone that has the app. I’d say that there is still an infestation of bugs and the developer should try to fix those before pushing the “premium” plan that doesn’t have commercials. 2.) I never said the $4.99 per month that I pay to use the app should negate any and all commercials. I said there were too many commercials. Too frequent. Too long. More than on “television” (as the developer pointed out). My hope would be to see less frequent, and shortened commercials considering this is a PAID APP and not television.

Great options, poor quality. I have paramount for my PS4. I’ve had it for a few months now, and it’s just ok. The selection of shows is wonderful, however I have an issue with a very specific glitch. Throughout certain shows, the dialogue will go back 5 seconds and repeat itself. The show keeps rolling with the now delayed dialogue. It eventually skips over the forward dialogue causing you to miss some of what was being said in your show. It’s a constant throughout the show and it does get very annoying. Also, it’s plagued with commercials which also are delayed. The advertisement countdown comes on at the top left of the screen randomly, but it doesn’t go to commercial break. It just has an advertisement countdown while your watching your show. At the end of that countdown, then it goes to commercial. Something else that’s strange, is that for the first two or three months of having this app, I only had a commercial at the beginning of the show, and then no more. Now, it’s full of ads. I understand some ads and I’m fine with that, but Jesus Christ. They are long commercial breaks and there are multiple throughout the show. Like I said, it’s not horrible. It just has some glitches. I’m sure they will be worked out in the future.

stability on all platforms. i love paramount+, i upgraded to no ads, canceled 2 other subscriptions i had with other streaming platforms because it’s on here and updated in seasons and i watch paramount on a lot of devices. but for the life of it, it does not work on playstation 4. i don’t know if this is where i write that review but it NEVER loads. it sits on the screen and glitches between pause and play. i even upgraded my network and got another one for 5G use because i learned that it’s very good for gaming as well and there was a visible notice on my applications and updates running really smooth using my new wifi, but still not on paramount+ so i recognized it probably wasn’t my playstation or wifi. i still give this 5 stars because this is technically an app for specifically apple, but this is for people that watch on more than one device. an account with ads is still okay, i used that time to use the bathroom, get food, etc, but i just like ad free shows and it’s good for the price. most of the ads promote more of their shows as well and i watched some through those ads so they’re not all boring. closed captions is sometimes wrong, sometimes doesn’t line up, but it’s not for all shows, for me, only criminal minds.

So disappointed. I got this app specifically to continue watching several series not available on any other service. This app is EXTREMELY SLOW just to load. This app SKIPS and is not fluid in transitions between ads and the program. When watching a series in order, it SKIPS EPISODES every single time. It starts the unwatched episodes at 33 minutes in and NOT the BEGINNING. Paramount Plus needs to take a page from Disney+ and Netflix. Those apps load quickly and always give you the option to start at the beginning or resume at the exact place you left off. They are reliable and don’t dump you out of the app for no reason. I wait about 3-5 minutes every time I launch this app for it to load and it’s not because we have a slow connection. We have the fastest speed internet available. The episodes skip ahead 2-5 seconds continuously and then the audio isn’t synced with what is on the screen. Please make this app more robust so that your customers experience will be better and they will continue to keep it. When I am finished with the series I’m watching, I am cancelling my subscription. So disappointed because Paramount+ has several shows that I love but will look elsewhere for something to watch going forward. Got the response from the developers and they told me to sit tight IF the app is updated. IF. REALLY🤗?!?!!?!?!?!!!!!

Ignorance. It’s as if the developers at Paramount+ took the time to go over every good function that NETFLIX and other streaming services have and said, “Nahhhhhh, too mainstream, let’s go the Bethesda route.” 20% of the time the app crashes, 50% of the time the videos loop backwards and replay scenes while the audio continues forward, and the last 30% of the time the apps functionality is completely unreliable. To be more specific, my List doesn’t pop up when opening the app, 7/10 times there’s a “Fatal Error”, theres never an option to skip intros, the “Next Episode” button stoped showing up, pressing 1 of the 3 middle buttons on screen of back 10 seconds, pause/play, and forward 10 seconds doesn’t work, and even when paying the $10 a month for no ads, THEY STILL MANAGE TO SNEAK SOME ADS IN THERE. So, some advice to the developers. Take some time to go over the architecture of the app and figure out if there’s anything log jamming individual functionality. Check to see if any functions repeat unnecessarily and determine whether or not the current functions are appropriately designed. Redesign the UI of the video format so that it is more conducive to touch capabilities. Finally, stop giving ads when people are paying double the amount you ask for, for your lowest subscription option.

Charged for 30-Day Free Trial. I recently signed up via my AppleTV for a 30-day trial. Went through all steps and was told I would not be billed for one month. In reviewing my billing statement today, I found that I was actually immediately billed by Apple for this service. Upon contacting Apple for an explanation, the agent asked if I’d ever had the service before. I replied that I had not. The agent then informed me that I’d signed up for a free trial of Paramount+ in 2015. Somewhat surprised, I informed the agent that Paramount+ didn’t exist in 2015, having only launched within the last 4 months. The agent then said Paramount+ has been around for a lot longer than that and, again, that I’d signed up for a free trial nearly 6 years ago. Though the agent could provide me no better explanation, as best I can determine, a CBS All Access free trial from 2015 is what Apple is considering to be my Paramount+ free trial, and although that seems a bit ridiculous (given that it’s a completely different service) had Apple simply disclosed that I was going to be charged rather than indicating every step of the way that I was receiving 30 days free, I would have at least had the ability to make a decision. In this case Apple decided to misinform me and then tell me after the fact that, “of course we charged you based upon a free trial for Paramount+ over 5 years before it existed.” Lame.

Good, but with a few problems.... So, Paramount+ is amazing and has a lot of good content. Probably my second favorite streaming service other then Peacock because well... Battlestar Galactica. But that doesn’t mean Paramount+ has problems, of course, and I believe I’d like to point out two (this may be outdated soon since they’re updating the app a lot) in which my first problem is probably the fact that their is no Squidward or basically more Spongebob characters that could be profile pictures. Squidward is my favorite character and I wish he was an available profile picture. If you also added more Spongebob profile pictures in general then it would probably be more enjoyable for Spongebob fans that don’t just want Spongebob and Patrick. My second reason is that they actually removed a Spongebob episode (we’re still on the topic of Spongebob xp) called Mid Life Crustacean. Of course, this isn’t a real problem since Prime still has the episode but I still find it a bit weird that you removed it. Honestly, this app is amazing and I give it a solid four until my second review comes in. Thank you for noticing!

Frustrating. This is ridiculous. When the app works it works fine. But it freezes a lot. Then the app needs to be closed to restart. The download should be a true download. Some episodes simply stop and there is not resetting that position. The only thing to do is remove the download and the re-download. Now if I had consistent WiFi, then why would I need to download? It is like the developers have never traveled nor used the other online apps like Prime or Netflix or ITunes. I paid for it. I should be able to download the episode, with error correction, see the episode and then delete it. Simple. But not on this app. When I am on a plane or train and wi-if is spotty, that should not even matter because the episodes are downloaded! And I am traveling overseas now and can’t watch because I am out of the country???? Ridiculous. I downloaded the episodes in the USA, I should be able to watch them overseas. Same as the other apps. CBS, if you want me to pay full price then make Season 2 of Star Trek Discovery on iTunes and I will pay it. But if you want me to use the CBS app and pay you directly at least give me an app that works and works for travel. Not every user is a 20 year old sitting on their mom’s couch. Some of us have jobs, money, choices and are aware of other apps and how this CBS app should function.

Truly Terrible. I really hate writing bad reviews, I work in customer service and bad reviews are the worst! However! Because you have to purchase the service to see Picard, and there is no other way, this makes having a terrible service even worse. To create an amazing show, to make it available only if you pay monthly for this service, and then have said service be incredibly slow and glitchy to the point of being practically inoperable is truly a way of showing you care little for your subscribers beyond their money. This is truly the most poorly functioning streaming service I have encountered and I struggle through Prime Tv often. Not only is it incredibly slow, when I watch shows it will get stuck on a commercial loop. It will go to commercial break, go back to the last two seconds before break, then back to a commercial break stopping to try to load for several seconds between each commercial. This will repeat endlessly until I restart completely. At that point, even if I check for updates, turn it of and on again, turn the entire system off and on again, all basic troubleshooting, if you attempt to resume the show it goes strait back into the loop. I am truly frustrated and disappointed and despite my absolute love of all things Picard and Patrick Stewart I will sadly chose to no longer toss money into something that does not work.

Bug city. I don’t know how you say you have 4.5 star rating. I just went & read a bunch to see if this was only me. It’s not. I thought maybe my wifi? It’s not! It’s this trash can of an app. How is cbs now paramount+ have such a garbage app? Netflix, hbo, Apple TV, even the free apps all work great. This app makes me thing somethings wrong with the tv the wifi my remote control every thing. It literally is the worst app I’ve ever used. Please hire someone to fix this. Get a Netflix guy to come in & make it at least navigable. Try to move around to find a show to watch you gotta click like ten times & maybe it will move over one spot. The app freezes every 2 seconds on the good shows that people actually wanna watch. Also why after a season is over it’s gone. Like ncis la you can’t watch any old seasons. Why? You own them! We pay for your shows. Could be the greatest app for streaming but no we got the dollar general guy that made the app. Pay somebody who knows what they are doing to come in for a week have it set up like netflix & done. Can’t be that hard considering every other app can do it! Stg the best shows & movies but they are useless because you can’t watch none of them! Dissatisfied disappointed disgraced embarrassed shameful everything you can tell someone that has greatness but let’s you & themselves down every single minute of the day! Horrible!

The worst app for a major streaming service. Are you interested in watching the NFL? Do you pay for cable? CBS doesn’t care! In order to stream professional football, you still have to pay for an online subscription. Price gouging aside, the app itself has a few issues. It has a tendency to crash during major sporting events (the Super Bowl. If I’m trying to cut the chord but have to deal with a faulty app throughout any program, it more than defeats the purpose). Take Star Trek: Discovery for an example. A show with a sturdy plot that is the heir to an amazing franchise, some of us look forward to watching the newest episode on Thursdays. However, it is quite difficult to watch an episode when the CBS app reads “fatal error...” and refuses to play the episode—whether it was downloaded or not. Is this an internet problem? Uhhh no. We checked that. Is this a streaming issue? Uhhh no. Did we delete the app and reinstall it? Was there still a fatal error? Yes. Did we have a problem streaming NCIS? No. There was literally only a problem streaming Discovery. I’ve disliked CBS for years bc of their garbage approach to NFL football, but this is unconscionable. I will be discontinuing my subscription. I will, however utilize a free subscription to watch Star Trek, as that is literally the only reason to spend any money on CBS’s trash can of an organization.

Awful UX. I have a hard time believing that most of the positive reviews of this app are real. It’s littered with so many bugs that you’d think it was made of a decomposing carcass. But alas, it’s 2023 and we still have an app that fails to sort episodes as 1,2,3…9,10,11 and still sorts them them as strings, the way a first semester CS student would like 1,10,2,3…. Episode expiration times show as comical dates, such as 24,534 days. More days than I can hope the world still exists if we’re pushing out apps this bad. You still can’t do background downloads! Episodes that appear downloaded randomly cut to black and are completely unplayable. Forget about downloading things to watch on a plane or you’ll end up having to read the flight safety manual, which like Yellowjackets has shown us wouldn’t even be useful. Sometimes the video turns into dank meme pixel art out of nowhere. And the best bug of them all, the cream of the crop… the audio and video get separated nonstop. You’ll just be watching and and next thing you know a conversation is happening 5 seconds after you saw it happen. And only way to fix it? Hard resetting the app every 2 to 3 minutes. It seems designing apps this bad would be impossible, so I am only led to believe it’s nefarious. As good as some of the shows are, the app makes the whole service infuriatingly bad, and I’m going to have to cancel.

Keeps Glitching on my TV possible Divorce. I only have 3 shows I watch on Paramount plus. When the commercials come on it freezes and eventually it will tell me “Something went wrong. Please try again later”. When I do try again later and maybe a couple weeks or months later it does the same thing. I haven’t been able to finish Season 4 of FBI and now Season 5 is coming out soon as well as a new season of Seal Team. However, I have found a way to override the glitch by accessing the Paramount + app through my husbands Play Station 5 . There has been a lot of compromise/arguments between who gets the PS5 this past year. I do not want to entertain that any longer especially when Paramount + is supposed to be entertaining me. We only have ONE PS5. Please fix this issue before this ends in a divorce… and I’m not talking about me and my husband.. I’ve tried and tried again so many times and I have exhausted all my trying with you. I hate to have to bring up the D word but I need the same amount of effort I have been putting into Paramount+ reciprocated. Not only have you exhausted my time and effort but also most importantly my money. Please reach out to your local geek squad to get this situation under control before the new seasons come out. 2 stars for good tv shows Minus 3 stars for for not being able to watch them in the family room, compromise/arguments for the PS5, all the trying and money.

Glitchy App and Too Many Commercials. I signed up for the Essential Plan because I figured I wouldn’t mind a few commercials. I was wrong. There are so many commercials, cartoon shorts are unwatchable. I’d stand for a commercial break in between the two shorts in one episode, but to break up each 9-11 minute short with 5 commercials as well as a commercial break in between both shorts making up each episode is insane. Not to mention, when AirPlaying, the commercials always make the app crash. Either the screen goes black, or when it comes back to the episode, it won’t play anymore and then you have to restart it, find where you were, and then it makes you watch the commercials again and then it does the same thing. I was also disappointed you couldn’t download videos for offline viewing on the Essential Plan as I fly a lot. So, I figured I have no choice but to upgrade to Premium. After purchasing, it wont let me actually use premium until my month is up with the Essential Plan so I’m stuck with an unusable app because it won’t even let me pay to upgrade until my month is up. Customer support is was completely unhelpful with this as well. Only a few more days to go until I can upgrade finally, but I’m not happy at all with this app. As soon as the Beavis and Butthead season is over, I’m unsubscribing and sticking with HBO Max.

No actual ad free version. I paid for the ad free version because I just don’t want to see ads. I like and respect that they have options for weather you care about ad free or not. I think that’s great. I’ve had the app for a few months now (I paid for ad free since day 1). If you get the ad free version, you won’t get ads for non-paramount shows or movies. Great, as it should be. What’s not immediately evident given the name “ad free” is that you will still have to sit through ads for in house tv shows they want you to watch, with no skip option every single time you go to watch something. It’s whatever at the end of the day, but if I’m specifically paying for ad free: why am I still getting ads for what paramount deems appropriate? I don’t care what you think I should watch…give me ads ONLY if I’m not paying for ad free. Ad free should be ad free, period. Paramount has absolutely wonderful shows that I love but every time I go to watch one I get annoyed at the un skippable ads that pop up. I wouldn’t even care if they still advertise for their own stuff if it was skip-able. This is not the case, and that’s just plain annoying. Why am I paying for ad free if it’s not ad free. Plain and simple. If this were not the case I would give it 5 stars hands down. Just be aware if you’re thinking of subscribing. May as we’ll get the version with ads and save some money because no matter what you get ads.

Buggy, doesn't cast well. I regret that I have to use this app to watch shows that I really like. Older chrome casts cause shows to hang. With a new chrome cast, shows hang on commercials, so your 90 second commercial break turns into a 120 second commercial. The commercials are much louder than the shows. For older shows, commercials get inserted at random places, mid-dialogue, rather than where the original show was clearly intending for a commercial (like a fade out). Edit: this app after over a year is still poor at best. It is still buggy, takes a long time to load anything. If I cast it, it sometimes forgets that it's playing/casting anything, so if I want to pause or stop I have to close and reload the app. Issue occur on both phone and iPad. It forgets what I've watched for some series, so the "continue watching" options are useless. It declares I must go to the app or platform where I created the account to change the account settings, which of course I don't know since it was so long ago. I would love to upgrade my account to get rid of the loud, poorly-inserted commercials, but alas I can't. Anyone who uses other apps like this (HBO Max, Netflix, Prime, Apple+) can see stark discrepancies between those and this apps. If I could watch Star Trek on anything else, I would, and pay more for it.

FIX yourselves, P+. This platform is worse than HBO Max… (if you know, you know). I’m able to load a show approximately 1 out of 4 tries. Then once it plays a 30 second ad for about 5 seconds; it cuts & goes right to my programming. Cool. It then plays the full episode, with no buffering. THEN… once the episode is over, literally 100% of the time, says connection error & wont play the next episode (auto-play is on), & freezes. Additionally. The FFW/RW features are very poor. Sometimes if you bump the remote/controller, it will crash the platform once you try to cancel the action. Everything is up to date on all devices, & things have yet to improve. I’ve used data, WiFi, hotspot, etc. Zero improvements. & don’t even get me started on trying this app on the Vizio smartTV… I almost destroyed my remote bc I thought it was my remote that wasn’t doing what it was supposed to. Was definitely not my remote. EDIT: OH. It’s latest trick: I have to manually log back in every single time I open the app again 👍🏼 Update after dev response: I’ve troubleshot it a hundred times with no relevant success. Not to mention, your trouble shooting just consists of “close the program, & open it again,” or, “clear your cache.” None of that works. Read the room, Paramount+. Read. The. Room.

Frustrating to use. I had hoped that with the conversion from CBS to Paramount Plus, we would get a redesigned app. I am disappointed that it didn’t turn out that way. I would recommend this service a lot more if there were a couple more features. First it needs a watchlist feature. I cannot stand having to browse for the show that I want to watch every single time instead of going to one place that has all the shows I have earmarked to watch. Also, downloads need to be fixed. And no it is not my device nor my internet connection. This is the only app where after 2 days, anything downloaded pops up with an error message when I try to play it. Supposed to be available for 30 days but really ends up being 2. I am aware that once you start to watch an episode you have a certain amount of time to finish watching before it expires. That is not what I’m referring to. Again, I do not have issues with any other streaming service’s app with downloading and watching episodes later. I live in an area where I don’t have access to at-home internet so this is a very important issue to me. I would use and recommend this app a lot more if these issues were fixed/ added

Crashing App. I was really excited to have this app when I first got paramount plus several months ago on my phone as it would give me a chance to watch movies and shows when I’m doing work without have to turn on my laptop to watch or plug my laptop into my TV with an HDMI cable if I wasn’t using the main TV that was logged into paramount plus. However, in the last 3 to 4 months, this app has done nothing but crash. I have done everything I can think of from updating the app when it needs to be updated, uninstalling it and reinstalling it, and turning my phone on and off. I have tried looking up solutions on the Internet, but they either weren’t very helpful or I wasn’t able to perform the solutions that other people have said might work. With all of the fixes that have been going on in the updates provided, the one thing that has not been fixedIs the crashing of the app on an iPhone. I can’t watch anything without the app crashing two seconds into a TV show or a movie. I then have to constantly re-open the app and find out where I left off in a TV show or movie because it doesn’t restart where I left off. Oh no it starts me from the very beginning and I have to find out where I left off. With all of the updates that are being done I hope that you take a look at the app crashing because that is the biggest issue I have with this and itd be nice to be able to watch something on my phone without it crashing on me every two seconds.

How can this app be rated so high?. This is the most frustrating app on my phone. Offline viewing is incredibly buggy. It’s the worst of any streaming service. It takes forever to download anything. Once it’s downloaded, maybe it’s playable, but it’s not. Sometimes the icon won’t change to downloaded, and there’s no play option. You can still delete it though! Other times you’ll go to start a video and it’ll say you can’t watch it because you’re out of region. But in reality you’re in a gym in California. Or a plane above North Dakota. There’s really no way of knowing until you go to start the video. Then, if you’re lucky enough for the video to actually play, it’s not going to play all the way through. You’ll reach different points of the show where the video scrambles. If it manages to unscramble itself, which sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t, the audio and video won’t sync up. Then you’ve got to close the app and start the video over again. Except, you can’t, because now you’re getting the out of region warning, because moving from the treadmill to the exercise bike in the same gym in California is apparently a different region. This app is an embarrassment. My 11 year old and his buddies could make a better app than this.

Doesn’t Have Basic Features. We can all pretty much agree Netflix is the standard to uphold with streaming platforms. CBS/Paramount is late to the game so why is it that they don’t even have the basic features you expect with streaming services? There are many other streaming platforms that have managed just fine. You literally had a blue print to follow. You know what is expected. How was this released without a “My List” option or “Favorites”? or how about the ability to click the show you were just watching and seeing an episode list option? You can’t do that. You have to search the show again to get to it. The whole point of streaming was to get away from cable and the commercials. This has more commercials than regular tv that you can’t even fast forward through and once you watch a commercial you can’t fast forward/rewind without it taking you back to the same exact commercials you had already sat through. Heaven forbid you forget and have to watch the same 20minutes again plus more commercials. Why are you putting Paramount commercials on here? We already pay you. You have our business. You don’t even have full seasons of your shows. Many people have complained about all of the above and nothing has been changed. I don’t see how this app was actually approved for release let alone getting complaints for over a year and doing nothing.

Live TV segments issues, can’t save shows, doesn’t remember where left off. I’m currently doing the commercial plan free preview. I will cancel very soon for three specific reasons. 1.) Going to live TV and selecting one of the segments glitch — Every single time a black screen flashes and it repeats the last 10 seconds before continuing to the next segment. This makes watching previous live TV segments unwatchable. 2.) The app does not remember where I left off, which means I have to start from the beginning of an episode upon coming back to the app. I’m lucky if I remember where I was, so this is another frustrating dealbreaker. 3.) There are a ton of shows, and some of them you can download, which are the only reasons I’ve ranked this two stars. Problem is, I have to scroll through hundreds of shows every time I want to see what I want to watch, because there is no way to “pin”, or otherwise mark a show as something I want to watch later. It is perplexing that there is no “list” or way to save a show to watch later. You really expect me to scroll for five whole minutes to try to find/remember the show that I wanted to watch last week? Biggest dealbreaker - I almost don’t even want to use for free without this feature. Lastly, there is a section called “Keep Watching”, but the shows don’t end up there if you don’t watch enough of them, so quickly opening a show to get it to save there as a hack doesn’t work.

Worst app. I’ve had this app/service over a year and I feel like it has not improved one bit. I don’t know how anyone can rate this app above 3 stars with all of its limitations and lack of offerings compared to its competitors. Casting is not good at all, it stops castings and makes you start over from the beginning of what your watching instead of picking up where it stopped. My other complaint is closed captions, I like to use that when watching tv and I have to turn it back on for every episodes, why can’t you remember my preferences. My biggest complaint is downloading, besides the fact that certain shows/movies are available for download and you aren’t allowed to leave the app while downloading and the fact that it takes almost 10 mins to download a episode 😒and the app can’t download more than one episode/movie at a time. It crashes/stops when you try to download more than one thing. SMH. Now to the reason I am writing the app, it took almost one pain staking hour to download shows/movies they were not there the next day when I went to watch them. Why I can’t see the movies I downloaded for offline viewing when I am offline. When I regained access to Wi-Fi I could see my offline shows. I would also like to point out the shows will leave if you don’t watch them, there is no renewing them, you have to complete the pain staking process of trying to download everything all over again.

HORRIBLE TIMES INFINITY.. I have never written a review on here before but I felt that it would be a disservice to everyone if I didn’t write one on this app. I would have given this thing 0 stars if it would have let me but of course you can’t. I’m seriously considering calling my bank for fraudulent activity and having them refund me the money for this app because having to pay for this monstrosity of an app is definitely against the law. I tried this on my Apple TV, my iPhone, my iPad. Just a HORRIBLE app. I feel bad for the TV shows that have to rely on this app for ratings because I genuinely could not spend another minute of my life battling with this app to continue my show. Every 5 seconds the sound goes out. I have to press the 10 second back button to get it to work. Then it will go to a commercial in the middle of one of the most intense scenes and when it comes back it’s 5 minutes ahead of where it left off. Then when I try and rewind, I have to watch the ads again and then when I get back to the part I want to watch, it makes me watch the ads AGAIN. Then still will skip some of the scene again so basically I keep missing key parts of the show- on top of seeing some parts 17 times because I have to keep hitting the rewind button to get sound. I genuinely wish that I could get the time I spent messing around with this app back. For sanity reasons mainly. Hours were wasted and thanks to this app I now probably need therapy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS.

Hopeful that Paramount will fix it!!. I hate to write a bad review but I also hate the fact that I may have to cancel my account. I would have loved for this to be the 5 star review I dreamed it would be but it’s not. Here’s my story; I am a new customer to paramount+. I became a member because they are acquiring all of my favorite shows. I was excited to see the lists of shows they offer and also have the option to download. I use that a lot when I fly. Since getting my account set up, I have had nothing but buffering, fatal errors, and downloads that won’t play. I have sent in tickets through the customer support system in the app with no reply, except for the automated email that they are overwhelmed and will look at it when they can. I’m apparently not the only one having issues. Every issue that pops up says my issue is due to the WiFi or internet that I am using, but that shouldn’t be the case. All of my other streaming accounts work (and I have several). I have used many different devices and WiFi option but nothing helps. I guess my biggest frustration is if you’re going to take exclusive rights to top tv shows, YOU NEED TO HAVE AN APP THAT WORKS. I will end this rant/cry for help. I want this app to be everything I hoped for. Please get it working correctly, if you are reading this Paramount IT. From a hopeful but frustrated customer.

Terrible tech support and too many glitches. I used to love Paramount and recommended it to a number of people. In the last few months, a number of tech issues have cropped up, particularly with Star Trek episodes. At points it simply buffers and then when that issue was fixed, each episode starts half through. I’m not irked by a glitch. I’m irked by the horrible customer service and IT support. Even though my “ticket” was all in one thread, the next person to respond never seemed to be able to see the rest of it, or else they were bots, since they mainly ignored me. At one point they told me to be patient as they worked on the issue, so I waited…and then received notice that since I hadnt said anything in a few days, they closed my ticket! Two friends that I recommended this too have had similar problems. It may be inexpensive, but it isn’t worth it when you can’t use it most of the time and there is no reasonable response from tech/customer service. Edit: their response to me here is ironic. I dont need a link to troubleshooting as I did all of those things before ever contacting someone. If you are paying for paramount service and it has issues, that link is all you will get from them, and basically from a bot or someone who clear you didn’t read what you wrote.

One of the worst apps I have. I have many streaming apps, some free, some I pay for. Paramount + is a HUGE disappointment!! The Paramount Network streaming app isn’t any better either. Anyways, we were gifted a year of Paramount + and I have to say- if you pay for this service, you must be having a better experience than we are because this app is terrible. When you first open- on the iPhone, iPad Pro, Mac or Apple TV- the screen goes black and stays that way for at least a minute. During playing a show or movie, playback stops, starts, stops, starts, stops. It’s so frustrating. I had thought if this app turned out to be good that we would upgrade the subscription… that will NEVER happen until they fix these issues. So glad we aren’t paying for this crap!!! *My response* to the developers, you cannot be serious with that response… has to be some generic bull crap answer that everyone gets. If the app isn’t working across all the devices, it’s not a user or device issue- it’s an APP ISSUE!!! Y’all need to fix it because I don’t see how in the world you will keep customers this way. Btw, I DID go through all of the trouble shooting info on your web site, tried to contact someone because nothing advised 1. Worked or 2. Applied to my issues. I left a message to speak to someone, but that hasn’t happened and I’m still waiting.

Bring Back CBS All Access. I downloaded the Paramount+ app when CBS All Access disappeared because all my favorite shows were on CBS. Also, the ad-free streaming was one of the things I really liked about CBS. I can still get all my shows & no-ad streaming on your app, but am constantly getting “fatal error” messages & having to start over when the episodes or shows change. When I opened the app to send a review, I was amazed to see that complaints about the app crashing began 3 years ago. Really? In 3 years, the problem hasn’t been fixed? I have several ad-free streaming apps on my iPad that allow problem-free streaming &, even if it means losing my shows on Paramount+, I don’t intend to continue to pay for a faulty app. So, fix the problem soon or I’m gone! This is no way to run s streaming service & the fact that I don’t have problems like this with my other streaming apps tells me the problems can be solved, so what’s holding you back? Can’t believe you aren’t losing customers due to poor performance. One more thing: don’t tell me to turn off my iPad & reboot it or to reinstall the app; I’ve already done that & it doesn’t solve anything!

Coding is good….but…. The coding for the app is good on all of the platforms (iOS, ipad os and tvOS). The app is stable, video streams are stable, no buffering, and audio and video are always in sync. But when you pay for a service, I think it’s also important to comment on the purchased content. What frustrates me about Paramount (Viacom, CBS, or whatever it’s called these days) os that the company has a very fractured licensing, and distribution model across all of its brands. As an example, when CBS All Access merged into Paramount+ the news releases said the parent company (again, whatever name it goes by these days) was bringing all of the brands under one hood (i.e. Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, etc…) Then there is the Viacom brand VH1. Viacom puts some VH1 content only in the VH1 app and some content in the Paramount+ app. For example, Drag Race All Stars 6 was distributed only on the Paramount+ app but the regular Season 14 is only in the VH1 app. And just this week, Drag Race All Stars 7 was announced and with that announcement the press release said All Stars 7 would only be on Paramount+. This is frustrating for a consumer who is paying for the Paramount+ subscription to figure out between all of the Viacom companies which app has which content. Why does Viacom flip and flop on which app they will release content on?

Weak/Pithy Software. Update from developer: was told to contact their support for technical assistance. Funny how I have to pay for Paramount+ so I can spend my time trying to resolve an issue that I have never encountered with any other streaming service. Looking to watch YELLOWSTONE? Forget it in Paramount+. Not available. BUT, it is available on the regular Paramount app. Only caveat is that this regular app relies on old technology of one having to have a cable subscription. The more I see how Paramount works the more frustrated I get. I am going to unsubscribe as the whole service is very “loser” friendly, not user friendly. We are a family of four. Three Apple TV’s yet only one plays Paramount Plus. Even when the device playing is shut off, the other two just show wheel of death spinning. Also, if you start a movie before the audio preview starts, it plays over the regular movie causing stupid confusion. Oh, and we subscribed to watch Yellowstone season 4 and well, that is not on the Paramount Plus. It is only in the Paramount app. Thanks Paramount for making the whole process completely worthless. We unsubscribing after free trial period. Not worth the headache. Paramount, get your act together before you go on stage! Pathetic. Maybe you should look at some of the real streaming players before you try to play in the big leagues. One word for Paramount… useless.

The author should be ashamed. This app is pretty sad and CBS should be embarrassed. I can understand why they want to charge for vintage CBS programming but why should you have to pay to watch free programming from last month. Apparently the advertisers feel the same way as you can see they are few and far between. Every 10 minutes you get to see the same ads over again, some shows have only three different commercials which they show 2 and 3 times during one break. It’s no wonder they want to charge you to watch free tv, the advertising isn’t covering the cost. But besides that the app is flawed. It doesn’t keep track of the shows you watch, maybe you have to pay for that too. And it doesn’t have the ability to rewind 10 seconds back or forward during a show. Other video apps have this ability so the technology clearly exists. You can use the slider to move fore and aft, but that is not the least bit precise. Often it will bring you to a commercial break which you have to sit thru again. Which is hardly necessary as I’m sure you have the commercial memorized buy this time. So needless to say I rarely use this app and perhaps if others follow suit then maybe they will make an effort to improve the situation.

The Worst Streaming Experience of All Platforms. I’ve used every major streaming platform over the last few years, whether for Live streaming, TV shows, movies, news, etc. and I am wholeheartedly say Paramount+ is the worst streaming experience I’ve had. The app on IPhone and IPad constantly freezes and fails to load. Casting via Chromecast is impossible, particularly for live streamed events, and so far, many of the broadcasts for live events have been of poor quality/presentation when they do happen to work. Paramount+ customer service does a poor job of triaging, mitigating, and solving issues. Their main solution is to “escalate”, meaning that you will never hear back from them and your issue will not get resolved. Their solution is to offer a free month, but who wants to continue with a service that doesn’t allow you to stream what you want to (whether it’s paid or free)? I would highly recommend staying away from this streaming service. CBS Viacom has very obviously spent money to access streaming rights and to create new content, but they have not put much thought into technology, delivery of services, customer experience, and customer service. This service does not have any value to consumers given that most of the time they are not able to stream content in a similar way as other, much better streaming services allow.

Needs work for traveling viewers. I know Paramount is just getting started in streaming, but the experience using this app while traveling needs a lot of work. I downloaded shows the night before traveling and on my flight the next day, they had disappeared. I looked at app storage on my phone and saw that it was using 2.5 GB of space, so they were in there, the app just wasn’t showing them to me, even while I was authenticated and could view my profile. To solve, I had to pay for internet access on the flight and force quit the app a few times (all while authenticated in the app) until it reconnected and used internet service to show the list of downloads (even though they were in the app and taking up multiple GB of space). Even then, one of the 5 episodes was corrupt and would not play. For the flight back, I tried to apply what I had learned. I downloaded again the night before, and connected in the app to confirm that the download list would display before I boarded. This went better, but one episode had audio that kept cutting in and out. Needs work. I probably won’t use for travel again until they get a few more versions out. Will likely cancel my subscription for now and decide later if it is worth another try.

Annoying Issues. So I love the movies and TV shows that the streaming service offers. But there are three specific issues that really annoy me to the point where I almost can’t watch the app. The first is that when you watch a show and it is added to your “continue watching” queue, if you click on it from the “continue watching” queue it does not allow you to choose the episode you would like to watch. So if you are watching a show late at night and fall asleep and miss a few episodes, you can’t just click on it in your “continue watching” queue. You have to search for the show again and choose it from the search area, because that is the only way you can choose which episode to watch. The second is how often the streaming messes up during ads at the end of episodes. So a lot of times when an episode ends and it plays the ads, once the ads are over it won’t go to the next episode, and gets stuck on just a black screen to where you have to restart the app. Lastly, the subtitles for shows and movies are WAY off. They show about two frames too fast, and if the speaker is talking fast, then the subtitles move so quickly that it is sometimes impossible to read them fast enough to know what is being said.

Pathetic app. Where to begin? Repeatedly, I will download things, then be on a plane and not have the option to play them without an Internet connection. “Fatal error“. It seems to want an Internet connection most of the time. I suspect this has to do with tracking. Until I upgraded to the plus, ad free, version, ad blocking on my home network prevented anything from playing. Even so, often get “fatal errors “.. The latest is being prevented from playing things because of regional content restrictions. I’m in the US. Repeatedly, streaming movies, if paused and then returning to them later, the dialogue and video will be out of sync. The only way to correct this is to force quit the app and cross fingers until it eventually works. New iPad Pro, up-to-date iOS, etc. I only ever see this behavior with the Paramount app, not any other streaming apps. Unlike other streaming services, there does not seem to be a consistent way to skip past title sequences or recap of prior episodes. All in all, every other streaming service I subscribe to does a better job than this app. Sadly, I originally subscribed because of Picard season one which was reasonable. Picard season two is a rehash of old plot lines and just makes me sad. Meh.

Great content horrible software. This app, rather it be the mobile version or the version on my gaming system or fire stick, has many issues and is very behind the industry standards. If I want to rewind partially, I’m not given that option on my t.v. It automatically skips back by 3-8 minutes. Also when I do rewind it forces me to rewatch a commercial even if I hadn’t touched the commercial zone area. It freezes, some times it will just replay commercials over and over even after I’ve completed the commercial time limit. The app runs my phone hot. After commercial break the content picks back up at a random spot you previously seen. There have been multiple that I decided not to even complete the episode because the bugs are too irritating. There have also been occurrences that when I click on content from the main menu, nothing happens, or it’ll display an error. I’ve considered ending my subscription just because these bugs seem consistent and it appears that your organization is more focused on creating engaging content opposed to fixing app errors to create a more user friendly interface. I’d recommend you allocate more efforts there. People are paying for a convenient service. If it’s not convenient , they are sure to locate your content using other platforms for free.

Tons of commercials and growing.... When I first purchased this app to watch some of our family favorites, it was just ok. Love the shows but then we had to constantly restart the show because it would freeze up (it wasn’t an problem with our internet as our apps worked just fine at the same time). Then oh my goodness with the commercials... it started with three stops per episode at about 60 seconds to show about 2 commercials (I thought not too bad, there’s more on regular cable, part of the reason we got rid of it). Then with each season of the show the commercials increased in quantity (5-6 stops at 90 seconds to 2 minutes each stop) and length and we’re still having problems with the shows just stopping in the middle of an episode. This is getting as bad a cable if not worst because you can’t fast forward through them and your watching. More and more commercials instead of your show. I really would like to keep the app but this is becoming incredibly frustrating. If the commercials were cut back to 2 commercials stops an episode at 30-60 seconds it would be better and I would be more inclined to keep the app as I wouldn't constantly feel like I’m watching a constant stream of commercials instead of the show.

Love this app!!. Srsly the movies that are available on Paramount + are amaaaazing!!!! Some of them, a lot of them premier here and only here & theaters & w COVID etc we haven’t been for years but this app enables you to stay current and experience the new hits at the same time. it’s soooo worth it. This app is soooooo worth it. Taking the family to the movie theater is like 10x’s the price of Paramount +’s monthly cost. This app is so worth it. Has the best new releases and I love that I am able to see these new hit releases and stay in the comfort of our home & best part—- save a ton of $!!!! Aside from the amazing movie selection, and new releases Paramount+ has, their tv show selection is also awesome and makes it well well worth the price. I know it can get to be extremely expensive w paying for cable, and then each additional tv app as well, it adds up, but Paramount + is never an option to get rid of. Everything I need is on Paramount +!! Paramount + is one of the favorites by far!!! Awesome selection across the board. If u haven’t subscribed yet—- try it out!!!!! U will not regret it and it will not be one of the subscriptions that u pay for each month and rarely if ever watch anything on. At Paramount + you will find urself coming bck to watch their selection alllllll the time!!! Plus they are usually running a special for a free month or some deal so u can try it b4 paying the monthly fee n see for urself!!! U will agree, SO SO worth it!!

Horrible!. I’m beyond frustrated and angry! For several yrs., I’ve been paying to watch CBS shows and all I get is constantly frozen episodes! It takes 2 hrs SERIOUSLY to watch an hour long show. Every minute, the app freezes and I have to close it and start over. If I try to resume, I have to watch all the commercials and then it freezes again. I’ve been through the whole customer service thing and they just want to blame it on Verizon. I’ve had Verizon to my home. They’ve checked everything and are sure it’s on YOUR end! Why can’t you fix this problem that apparently a ton of other customers are having? You’re the only major network that charges to watch their shows and I can’t even watch them This is disgusting!!! **UPDATE EVEN MORE DISGUSTED I posted my review a week ago and you replied saying the app had been updated and as far as you were concerned, all problems fixed. You asked that I post a new review after I used the new updated app. Well here I am and more annoyed than the first time! You app freezes constantly! I have to close the app, reopen it and start my show over FROM THE BEGINNING including the million commercial! What am I paying for?????? ABC, NBC and FOX don’t charge and their apps work perfect! Please fix this app or I’m done paying. It looks like I’m not alone either so keep your eyes open for a ton of cancellations!!!

I AM IN MY GLORY.....!. Since yesterday, when I discovered this app...I have watched, back to back a TV SERIES that I had resigned myself to miss. It’s happened before; if I cannot afford it...it’s not for me. Dispute intense regret, I waved good bye to the ad on my ipad. When I saw the ad and went further into it, I was amazed. No kidding....at 67, I’m still a child of the universe and STAR TREK arriving in my life in 1966, was a “me’ changer. I literally covered the back of my bedroom door with photos from the TV GUIDE AND ANY I could con from Desilu..I attended the New York CONS! There is way more to this story, but that’s not for here. HERE, I will sing the praises of finding EVERY STAR TREK MOVIE, SHOW, TRAILERS and something called STAR TREK SHORTS. Short, wonderful pieces that bring you back to your (mine, too) first stunned, breathless moments when your realization that there COULD be something better for the Human race. If you are a TREKKIE, TREKKER, OR just watch for fun...you understand. The 100,000 of fans are not just good luck....we understand. If YOU DON’T understand; here is where you will! Oh, there are a ton of other shows I intend to ‘exploit’ when I need a break from the Federation....come and see!

It’s good, but improvements can be made.. Ok so, I really hate how when my phone can’t connect to the internet “fatal error” pops up. It makes me think that there’s something wrong with my phone. Then it’s annoying when I realize it just cant connect to the internet. It’d be much better for me if it just said “error”. I also don’t enjoy the adds. If there is something on this that I want to watch, I want to watch that. Not the adds. Also, if the thing the adds are showing was something I’d want to watch, I’ll find it. I don’t need and add taking up my time, because I only have so much untill I need to go to sleep. Also, my parents do this thing were they limit screen time. It puts a block on every app. There’s a password that they can put in it so I can do whatever on that app. Whenever my parents do that to this, it freezes on the blue screen. Then I have to exit, and go back in to the app. And finally, I really hate how there isn’t a search bar. It’s annoying to me, because then I have to scroll though A, then B, then C, when I want to find something new. I just think that if there was a search bar, things might be easier. This app isn’t great right now, but if you fix some of these things, I think it would be easier for everyone. Thank you for listening.

Pleasantly Surprised…. So we downloaded the app probably about two months ago for Yellowstone and 1883. Caught up on some others and then kind of forgot about it for a couple of weeks. Went back to watch 1883 and nothing would play. Had an error message saying couldn’t stream to our region. Now I live in Hawaii but we are still part of the good old US of A so I didn’t understand the issue. Thought maybe it was just a hiccup, but, nay, it continued. I looked up how to possibly reset and fix it but nothing worked from the FAQ page. I will admit we were a bit frustrated and after reading the reviews I thought we were done with the app. Now at this point you all are wondering why I gave 4 stars and how I was “pleasantly surprised“. I called their customer service and my rep went into the account and reset our account. She told me to wait a couple of hours before I try again and she would also submit a query to the tech department. She had me give her all the info that came up in my account settings page and even the model of my Apple TV. Now it didn’t come up after the two hours or even later that night, but next day, today, it is working beautifully. Mahalo (a proper Hawaiian thank you) Paramount+ for the great shows and the excellent customer service!

Hello 1970s TV - Simply the Worst Service. I specifically got Paramount+ so my wife can watch inside the NFL, she’s a fan of Julian Edelman. At this point we missed episode 2 while I was out of town. Now episode 2 is no longer available to watch or download. It seems as son as episode 3 became available episode 2 is no longer available. What other streaming service prevents you from watching previous episodes. Most promote that option so you can use the service you are paying for to watch the shows and episodes you want to watch, when you want to watch them. Now with episode 3, I downloaded episode 3 prior to episode 4 being released. I went to watch episode 3 this evening and ….. wait for it…… it was gone. Even though I downloaded the episode, as soon as episode 4 became available my download was gone and of course the episode was missing from the list of available episodes to watch. I appreciate Paramount+ reminding me of what TV was in 1970 prior to VCRs and then DVRs. You had to watch it when it was on or you didn’t see it. At this point the only option I have it watch the episode when it comes out or forget it. I would not recommend this app to anyone, and would actively tell people to avoid it. Although good content, it is not anywhere near the frustration of trying to use a poorly designed poorly executed service. Looking at all the negative responses, I am not alone in my assessment.

Would love some updates if possible.. To start out with, I am blind. Some of these suggestions I’m sure a large majority of your subscribers would appreciate as well though. Would be very useful if you were able to swipe up or down on the current position when you’re watching something and that would go forward or back a certain percentage instead of having to fast forward or rewind only 10 seconds at a time if you wanted to move forward or back several minutes. Especially when the end credits of some TV shows might take as long as a minute and a half to two minutes every episode and there’s no button to skip to the next episode that appears when the end credits show up. When a movie gets over, another movie starts. Is there a way to turn that off? Also can you make it so you can remove stuff from your continue watching? Maybe have someone thoroughly check out the app on an iPhone with voiceover on from start to finish with what it takes to download the app subscribe and set up a profile and go through the Home Screen and anything else a user would do in the app… to find things you could make more user friendly. Any consideration would be greatly appreciated, not only by me, but I’m sure some would be appreciated bye A Lot of your subscribers, and then also other Voiceover users as well. m

I made my decision based off of the reviews.. So I’m looking for a new streaming service and up until a month ago I had NetFlix which is pretty standard I’d say. But the selection never changes so I moved to HBOMAX. It worked great the first 2 weeks then started glitching and giving me error codes every time I would open the app. Needless to say I cancelled it as well. Now onto Paramount+. Before I wasted my money I read a bunch of reviews and saw tons of negative while only reading a few positive and even those weren’t very enthusiastic. So based on others reviews I’ll not be subscribing to Paramount+. Furthermore, the ones at Paramount+ who respond. To these reviews are probably not even human and huge a very standard robotic response and seen to not care about fixing any issue that the person describes. That had a lot to do with my decision as well. To the folks at Paramount+, I know you don’t care about your customers and why would you. But you do need to atleast act like you care about the quality of your product. It seems like you just pacify your subscribers by giving an empty apology. It’s not rocket science. Put out a product that justifies asking for a subscription and you’ll attract more subscribers. Hence you’ll make more money and control the vast majority of consumers when it comes to Streaming TV.

Somewhat useable, but lacking much accessibility support. It's useable, somewhat. But it is also lacks a lot of accessibility support. First, the Home tab does not scroll very well for devices using accessibility features such as VoiceOver. Whenever I flick back, I don't usually return to the previous spot. I land on a new movie or show. This presents an unexpected behavior. Next, the play/pause button is not mapped to the Magic Tap for accessibility. I am not able to pause playback to listen to VoiceOver. This also means I have to try to listen to VoiceOver, while my show is still playing, to try to find the Pause button. Third, if I selected audio description, it would be so nice if the app will continue the rest of the episodes of the same show with the same setting. Having to change it every episode is definitely not user friendly. These are just the top 3 issues. It seems so simple, but these can make an app a much less user friendly experience. Other streaming apps do not have these issues. I hope CBS will put some more resource into making this app better.

Can’t get on the app on our phones. So we got Paramount+ a couple weeks ago my husband did it through our TV and then we got the apps on our phones and neither one of us are able to get on Paramount+ through the app on our phones. We both have iPhones. We are both up-to-date on our phones and the app, we were able to get it on our TVs but when we go to sign in on the apps on our phones, it just immediately takes us right back to the sign in screen. It doesn’t say anything it just automatically goes right back to the sign and screen now I will say I do like Paramount+ I like to watch it on the TV but I also would like to be able to get on it through my phone like I do my other apps that I have getting a little annoyed I tried to find a customer service online and it sent me to something that I have to pay for. I am definitely not paying to try to contact customer service for an subscription that we already pay for Paramount+ I do like it it’s on our TV. I’m able to watch it but I would also like to watch it if I’m on the go somewhere and I wouldn’t want to watch the show that I was watching previously at home and right now I cannot do that so I’m very annoyed. I’m getting really upset.

Intuitive app and great content. Paramount+ is a streaming platform that offers a vast selection of shows and movies to watch. One of the best things about it is how easy it is to use. The interface is intuitive, and navigating through the various categories and menus is a breeze. It's also easy to search for specific shows or movies, and the results are displayed quickly. Another great feature of Paramount+ is the ability to stream and download shows. This is especially useful for those who want to watch something on the go or don't have a stable internet connection. The streaming quality is excellent, and the download speeds are fast. There are also options to adjust the streaming quality to fit your internet speed and device. Overall, I recommend Paramount+ for anyone looking for a streaming service that is easy to use and offers a wide range of shows and movies. The ability to stream and download content is a huge plus, and the quality of the service is top-notch.

Cable Subscriber & Frequent Traveler- Would Give a Zero If I Could. I know the subscriber demographic and viewing habits have changed but why are streaming vendor services going backwards in technological time. Why is Netflix is the only consistent and decent user experience app out there (despite lapse in content sometimes) Copy Netflix for goodness sake and you will be good. P+ App - UI is terrible, access for cable subscribers is garbage. I still can’t figure out how I get Showtime access without paying more money while they sort out stuff until January. I don’t want P+ I just want what I paying for with my cable subscription. I never thought I would say this but watching TV or I should say sitting down trying to figure out what I want to watch on TV is such a frustrating experience now. What show was I watching or want to watch? Oh I don’t have access to that show unless I pay $blah..99. What episode did I last watch, which streaming app? Oh this streaming app doesn’t save my place, I guess I have to start all over. Leave it to the conglomerates gobble everything up then muck everything up for the viewers to get on the streaming bandwagon. Ugh! I guess I should go back to reading more books. Less trouble these days. Don’t need a plug or router just the sun and some good ol DD batteries for a flash light!

Great App but Slight Accessibility Bug. I really enjoy using this app. However, in the previous few versions, I have encountered a bit of an accessibility bug. When a video is playing, I have noticed that I can't find the audio and subtitles button with VoiceOver. The only buttons that appear are the toggle for the player controls and the rewind button. This means that VoiceOver users cannot turn on audio description from their phone. I can turn it on when watching on a web browser but because your audio settings do not sync across devices on the same profile, the description track will not stay on if I switch from the computer to the phone. Paramount+ works well on the computer but because the audio selection button will not appear in the app, blind users do not have access to the audio description tracks on their phones. I would very much appreciate it if this bug could be investigated and fixed so that blind users can have full access to this app. Thank you for considering this feedback.

Crashes way too often. Just started using the app over the last 5-7 days and has crashed on me at least a dozen times (have only watched 3-4 episodes). Then it resets where I originally started watching and in order to get back where I was I have to sit through another round of commercials. Once I had to watch commercials three times to get back to where I originally was because of the crashes. Frustrating. It also doesn’t store my search history or when I click on a show that I’ve been watching “continue watching”…no readily available way to get to the other episodes of that show. Furthermore, I will sometimes go into a show I’m watching, and certain seasons there will be no thumbnails for episodes. Just completely blank. I switch to a different season and sometimes they’re there, sometimes not. I return to the original season I’m looking for and sometimes it’s still blank, other times it just has a “Play” icon (and nothing else but a black screen) and I have to count down to which episode I’m on to get it to play…but when I did that for S1E4, it actually played, S2E8. Good content. LOTS of bugs.

App Development Is Trash. I got paramount plus to watch Survivor and Drag Race which it is a great for, as it has most of the seasons. However, the terrible coding and development of the app makes it impossible to use. The app only works correctly once every 10 tries. Every time you open the app and click on something to watch, it loads for a considerable amount of time and then closes back to the show description. It does this over and over again - no matter what device you try to stream from. Updating the app and/or deleting and redownloading it does nothing. Not to mention it is $6 a month with ads that a 3 minutes long at least 5 times per episode. I’ve had this app for nearly a year, and kept trying to give it chances, but I’ve finally given up and canceled my subscription. Paramount team - you will end up running your own streaming platform into the ground if you do not spend the extra time/money to get an app that works consistently. You will continue to lose money (from people like me) moving to streaming services with apps that work. The extra money spent to revamp your app not only will keep your customer base, but it will also keep discourse on your brand positive. Do better.

Strong start. This app is mostly okay. There are a few major things that are annoying though. 1. No Picture in Picture, you cannot watch your show or movie and send a quick text or set an alarm or anything without pausing/quitting the whole thing. 2. On the home page there is no way to select a series and go to the “series page” to see all the episodes and such. If you select the show it automatically continues watching, and then from there you can only go back to the home and page and it’s a vicious cycle. You have to search the show and select it from that page to be able to look at different episodes. Super inconvenient and didn’t realize the appreciate I had for that with other apps lol. 3. The few times I’ve tried to download shows for an airplane flight, they are 100% downloaded and good to go. You get on the plane you open it up and the app says “no downloads” and then crashes. This happens on repeat. When you land you can see the downloaded episodes again? Ugh. I’ll use it for certain shows but definitely far behind from other steaming apps.

Clunky for streaming. The content and material is great for the paramount+ and showtime package. The showtime app runs flawlessly. The paramount+ for appletv is clunky though. For example: when I sift thru movies the preview of the movie happens (like in Netflix) but when I click the movie to play I still get the audio of the preview which drowns out the beginning parts of the movie. Another example on my appletv is the app will let you slide over to the left where the hyperlinks are to various subcategories but you cannot slide off the ribbon without pressing the link (even if it’s the same link because I went to far over) causing the page to reload. Other then these grievances all around good app. The most annoying is the movie glitch because I have to start the movie->fast forward->exit the app->reload the app->select the movie from my continuing watch section on the home page->rewind->finally enjoy the content. If I know the movie is somewhere else (another app/iMovie purchase) I’ll watch the movie there. Maybe it’s only an appletv glitch??? Not sure but that’s the reason for 3 stars.

This App is TRASH!. I like many others, love the content on this app, but the app itself is trash! I don’t often have problems loading the app on my Apple TV’s or my iPhone 11 Pro, but recently I’ve had tons of problems getting it to load on my iPhone 6s (I use this as my video player on my desk while working from home). I never had issues until a couple weeks ago. Now no matter what I try, it won’t load. I have made sure my phone software is up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and also turned my phone off and back on. It never loads past either a black screen or the blue paramount+ screen. I can’t even get to where I click on my profile or anything. It’s so maddening! Also I have similar issues with shows freezing or buffering on other devices, the app taking forever to load things, and shows not adding to my list even after I click add and it pretends to add it. Then I go back into the show and it says “add to list” again like I hadn’t already selected it.. this app has been trash since day one. I have hoped they would fix it, but so far.. nothing 😡 I spend a lot of money for this service every year, I expect it to work!!

Meh.

Three tiers of service: ad punishment, ad punishment lite, and give me all your money. This app is garbage. You can’t fast forward faster then x3 speed(which based on how slow it goes is just a lie), it won’t show you a picture when you’re using the time bar at the bottom so you have no idea what it’s about to stop at, but who can remember after the 4 commercial they will make you watch for daring to fast forward. Speaking of commercials Paramount uses them as a weapon! Fast forward, 4 commercial, rewind, 4 commercials, app crashes, 4 commercials, accidentally stop what you’re watching, 4 commercials, dare to watch more then one episode of something, 12 COMMERCIALS BEFORE THE SECOND EPISODE EVEN STARTS! 4 before the credits so you can’t just go to the next episode, 4 when the episodes change and 4 right after the theme! Update: I went to cancel my subscription and found out they are IN FACT using commercials as weapons to make you pay for the higher subscription: they have made a third tier subscription in between punishment and the premium and it’s whole point is so they can spam the lowest tier with adds. The only other streaming services that do this have the decency to make their punishment tier payment free. This service is garbage.

Not worth it at all. First of all, why would I pay for a streaming service that still makes me watch commercials? The whole point of streaming is to not have to watch commercials. Secondly, the app itself is absolute garbage. Any time you leave the app, you end up having to restart the episode from the beginning. Third, the commercials are ridiculous. If you leave the episode and immediately come back to it, you still end up having to watch almost 3 minutes worth of commercials. Fourth, the continuity of episodes is not just an issue within the app. Watching from TV and then trying to switch to watching on the app, the episode won’t pick up where you left off. Finally, the audio sync is absolutely horrible. At first I thought maybe it was due to the fact I was watching on my firestick, but I don’t have that issue with any other app on my firestick and the audio not syncing is still an issue on my phone. The only redeeming thing coming from Paramount+ is the fact that they offer a free trial period so I didn’t have to waste my money on this hot garbage. From the experience I’ve had, I will never be coming back to this service after the trial period is over.

The shows are great, but the app could be better. I like some shows and movies on this app. I’m happy that CBS stepped their game up. The unfortunate side is that, the loading of shows and pages seem to require a lot of bandwidth. This means the show has I’m watching has to do frequent buffering while watching the show. The funny thing is the many commercials shown throughout watching have never needed to buffer. There are some other streaming services that I could recommend to Paramount+ to compare with. Of course, here is not the place to mention them. If they get around to fixing the threshold of bandwidth needed, I’ll change this rating to 5 stars. Also for any future customers, if you can afford the premium service, then do yourself a favor and pay for it. There are a lot of commercial breaks per video and there are a lot of somewhat long commercials. The commercials are repetitive. Paramount+ do not fret, I’m going to continue using the app and watch the shows I like. I recommend fixing how much buffering is needed. Thank you for providing this streaming service. I hope you all are well.

App does not work on Samsung smart tv. UPDATE: look at the careless developers response. They are clearly a bot that does not read the reviews, confirming this app is a SCAM. I already did all the troubleshooting and was on the phone for FOUR HOURS with your support. There is NO troubleshoot that fixes this as your team TOLD me this is a known issue on PARAMOUNTS end. Stop lying to customers. This subscription and app is a total scam. Not compatible with Samsung Smart TVs even though they claim it is. The app downloads but doesn’t open. I called support and they said it was a known issue but there’s nothing they can do but comp me next month and email me if there’s an update. Well it’s been about two months since I received the email confirming my support phone call about the app not working, yet the app still does not open on Samsung smart TVs. Really disappointed because I was under the impression I could watch shows that are exclusively on this app and this app only on my TV, paid $9.99 just to be told “next month is comped but we can’t help you fix this issue. Use another device” is so pointless. Please care about your customers. Sure I could use my phone but my niece can’t use my phone to watch Clifford, she watches the tv. Disappointing.

Paying to watch advertisements. Paramount + premium I subscribed and paid the $ 99 fee for a year. It does state limited commercials so I assumed a quick blurb at the beginning of a show- no it’s multiple times during the show and I counted TEN- 10 yes Ten commercials during each break. Not short either, full commercials. Paying $100 to watch commercials is outrageous. Paramount is making money on the front end and the back end and you as the consumer are paying them to see commercials that they are getting paid to play. So that alone is a deal killer for me then add in the functionality of the app. It will start playing the audio of the show you are watching in the background of the commercials so you have to stop it and restart and guess what restarts yep it restarts the commercials. Also the screen will go black in the beginning after the first commercial once you exit go back in it will make you watch that commercial again before finally playing it. I never leave negative reviews but this deserves one. If they get paid by each commercial then they are making lots of money with the glitches that conveniently force the viewer to rewatch ads. I want a refund.

Paramount+ is the worst player I’ve ever used. I don’t even know where to start describing all the issues with Paramount and I barely ever had an issue when it was just CBS. I’ve had a CBS All Access subscription for several years now but after just a couple days of trying to watch a single show through Paramount, I’m going to cancel because there is no point in paying a monthly subscription for something that doesn’t work where i can’t watch my show unless I want to fight with the app for a minimum of an hour and a half each show (closing and reopening the app, completely unplugging and and restarting my FireTV to COMPLETELY reset the app because it won’t respond, etc, etc, etc) to watch a single 45 minute show. And I’m not even going to go into all the details about how shi**y it operates, plays the show, how poorly the navigation is on the Home Screen, how it practically never brings you back to the current spot you were in, in the episode you were watching even if you just close out of the app normally. It often brings you back to some arbitrary point in the middle of the episode prior to where you currently are. It often doesn’t respond to your command/clicks. I could go on and on and on. This is absolutely the worst app/media player I’ve ever used!!!!

I'm fed up. Honestly this whole app is trash. You pay for ad free and still get ads. Idk how many times I've had to call, wait on hold with someone many times just to get them to help temporarily fix whatever ad glitch they've had for YEARS now on my tv. I've just stopped calling them about it and accepted that I'll get no ads whenever the app WANTS to give me none. Some days there no ads, some days there are. Then one day randomly the app itself just stops working. I try to reinstall and I kid you not it has been installing on my firestick for MONTHS now. Never had a problem with a single other app downloading. So I decide to use my phone to cast it to my tv. It worked for a while but I've just moved and gotten everything set up and now it won't even cast from my phone. It won't even recognize my tv. I tried to cast from different apps to see if it was just user error. Nope. They work just fine. Had my boyfriend log in on his phone and same exact thing. I really feel like this is just a waste of money at this point. The only reason I'm here is cuz I found a work around by plugging my boyfriends laptop into the tv with an hdmi cable and there's a lot of good shows on this service but come on. Just do better. It's really not that hard.

Great content, frustrating on Apple TV. I love the Star Trek content and I can live with the commercials. But the interface with Apple TV is very frustrating. It always requires trial and error to get the menu I want to appear. Sometimes I get the list of genres sometimes I can’t. Thank goodness you added my list. If I select my show from what I’ve been watching, it goes directly to the most recent episode (I think) and starts playing instead of to the episode list. I have no idea if it’s playing what I expected and I’m not willing to wait through commercials to find out. When I select from my list I can pull up episodes but can’t view all text of the episode description (might be an Apple issue - Netflix has the same problem). Then I often have menus not load, an unusable search screen at times, or shows hang up and not load until I back out a screen or sometimes out of the app entirely. I thought the settings menu might help but it only instructs me to update my subscriptions on a different device. Just a super glitchy interface with pain points that I don’t experience on Netflix or other free apps.

This app is so bad they should be paying ME for having to use it.. Having to pay for this crummy app is insult to injury, because it is garbage. It feels like creating it was rushed, then totally neglected after being launched. Trying to navigate it is anything but simple. (Hey CBS! The public already knows how these apps are supposed to feel, how they’re supposed to work; this one is counterintuitive and anything but smooth.) That’s only where problems begin with this app. It continues to forget that I’m a subscriber, and it actually locked me out more than once. (I don’t share my password.) The commercial traffic system the app uses seems constantly confused. It will misfire, break into shows at the wrong time, and often the viewer will have to watch shows as the PAUSE symbol displays over the action for reasons only a meth-fueled A.I. could understand. I could put up with this nonsense a little easier if I weren’t paying for this dumpster fire of an app. The developers should be embarrassed and CBS should set a higher bar. Come on, CBS. This is your face going forward, you’re capable of better, and sadly it’s a stain on your reputation. To the viewer, Hope you don’t care much about the viewing experience, or you’re going to be disappointed.

Skip Intro. It would be nice if when you hit this button, that actually happens. Been watching NCIS, sometimes it works, sometimes it skips part, sometimes it skips a little and ONLY sometimes does it skip it all. Your streaming the series, it works for a while, then it’s back to maybe. VERY frustrating. Now, I am getting SAP. Have NEVER used it or had it. I have to change Dolby settings to get it to stop. AND, while binging NCIS, the language turns to German. I have NEVER had anything like this happen in the 10 years I’ve had my TV. The only thing new is Paramount Plus. Now I’m getting skip intro after the intro and during the beginning of the new episode. I unplugged my tv AND still getting messed up episodes. I’m on season 16. Been binging for weeks. You would think they would have it all together by season 16. Now, I don’t get skip intro at the beginning, now I get it when the new episode starts. Yes, I’m on season 17 and have been watching this show for weeks, but I HAVE never had this many issues watching a series. Maybe they should talk to Netflix to see how to have numerous episodes.

Soooooo Slow on Firestick. I had to download the app before Apple would even let me review the app which is ridiculous. I use this on my fire stick. The app is constantly freezing. It constantly shuts off. It runs super slow. I constantly clear out the cache and force stop the app. I am boots out relentlessly and taken back to the home screen when I’m just trying to move the cursor forward. In order for me to create a profile I had to pick three shows or movie so that they could curate my selections. Then when I got into my profile, it just went. I had an added those shows into my list as if I wanted to watch them, just trying to delete those from my list took about it 15 minutes of me trying to even get the cursor to move because the app kept freezing. This has been an issue ever since Showtime and Paramount combined when we canceled our Showtime and got rid of that app and then only use the Paramount+ app we have had nothing but issues trying just to watch anything I am about ready just to cancel the whole thing because I spend more time being frustrated trying to just search for something and not being able to do anything because the app is frozen.

Good app and content but downloading stinks. Downloading takes extremely too long to complete. 10-15 minutes to download a 43 minute episode is too long, especially when other apps download much quicker. Not being able to leave the app while downloading also is a detractor since other video apps don’t require this step to stay on the app and keep the screen from locking. If the screen does lock while downloading, the download will error or never finish downloading. Most of the time when able to actually download something on this app, the download will randomly have a “Fatal Error” while playing, rendering the download useless. Too many resources also appear to be used while downloading since the app freezes and jitters during those times. If the downloading option was actually worth using, this app would be much better. I download when I will not be in an area with coverage and since Paramount+ always seems to fail with downloads, I end up on another video app that does work as expected. Fix the downloading feature and it will be much better.

Paramount plus. I will start by saying “ good job” . Then I would like to know why the shows are missing episodes, many of them, so that you really can’t say you watched it all because so much has been omitted. Jag for instance has 10 seasons but you only provide 4 episodes per season and that’s just very annoying to some. Also why can’t you start with season 1 when offering a show. FBI for one and the other FBI show both with no season 1. If they are lost or something oh well but I can’t imagine that’s the case so a reason would be appreciated, or better yet just show them. Il appreciate the programming without commercials and overall your doing great. I also had a problem with another business and had to cancel my debit card. According to my bank statement I was billed for a month of service on the 24 of September but paramount stopped service to me a week ago when I cancelled the card. Why was I not allowed my month of already paid for service? Not a good way to keep customers. stopped service to me

Champions League and Europa League. Just wanted to provide some details about the terrific CBS All Access coverage of both Champions League and Europa League football. In particular, I greatly value 1) access to all matches on replay, 2) landing pages that do NOT provide match scores (no spoilers), 3) no score updates displayed from other matches while watching replays, 4) ability to advance or go back in time to manage my viewing as I see fit, and 5) match feeds with British announcers that longtime fans have come to know and like best; there is no need to replace the British feeds with "Americanized" broadcasts that include overly talkative play by play announcers and/or poor commentary, or analysts that are compelled to develop story lines for the sake of creating drama; we've seen this done from other networks [ever watch an MLS match?]. And so in summary, I am most appreciative that the critical aspects of football broadcasts listed above are part of the CBS All Access coverage. You should be very proud of the offered service, and I for one am a very satisfied subscriber. Keep up the great work!

Great App. I am enjoying this app immensely. My one-week trial is now over and subscribing to CBS All Access has been a great investment for enjoying the content offered. I am internet-only through my cable company—no TV (and loving it). You get many TV shows with this app—current, new, and old—special presentations, news, and the livestream of CBS broadcasts; including affiliate news casts for your local area. If you cannot catch regularly scheduled CBS shows on the livestream, you can alway watch CBS shows on YOUR time. Very convenient. Picture quality is good to excellent on the TV shows I’ve seen. Audio quality is also good to excellent. I have no buffering issues on my end or their end—I have 100 Mbps internet. The variety of content is excellent. Only a few movies are available for streaming; this is mainly an app for TV shows, news, and CBS special presentations more so than for movies. Anyway, I am very satisfied. The subscription price is reasonable and the content is highly enjoyable! I use this app on my 12.9” iPad Pro, iPhone, and AppleTV-4!

Ill Conceived. I signed up for the 1-week trial because I've been a Star Trek fan for 17 years and I wanted to watch Discovery in quality and also to support everyone's efforts (after all, they're using Trek as the flagship of this new streaming service and to heavily promote it). Unfortunately, the service has some serious issues. Even for the $6.99 a month, there are still commercial breaks set up as they would be on TV. That's one thing, and maybe it wouldn't bother everyone -- I understand that. But I have also had a very frustrating time getting Discovery, as well as other shows, to play without issue. Often, an episode won't start (the commercial beforehand plays flawlessly, however...) and instead hangs on a black or green screen. Other times, I get an error message saying CBS servers are unavailable. I understand this service is relatively new compared to the other streaming options out there, but since its launch, there has been plenty of time to work out the kinks, and it boggles the mind how CBS, considering the size and experience of this company, cannot successfully implement what several other companies have been doing for years. It just goes to show how far behind the times the people in charge are.

As good as can be expected. The content is absolutely phenomenal. The original series of 1883, 1923 and Lawmen: Bass Reaves has made me fall in love with an incredible genre. Tulsa King is another incredible series. 1923 looked like an absolute GEM on my IPad Pro. The quality is out of this world. The app can use a tad bit of work. The next episode feature is horrible. Takes forever for it to pop up. Downloading is a big part of the streaming experience. Especially for those of us who are constantly away from home. It’s kept me up on most of my shows without taking a massive bite out of my iPad data. But Paramount+ is one of bad choices when it comes to downloading. It either doesn’t work or it’ll take a lifetime. I have Fiber optic internet at home. 940mbps. It’s unfortunate. A quick patch before the end of the year would put a smile on my face. Ps. To my fellow reviewers, we won’t all have the same issues. We’re not all on the same devices. Paramount+ on AppleTv won’t be the same on an IPad. Netflix is the only one consistent across all platforms because of their longevity. Paramount will get there be patient.

Everything’s good, all except for the live streaming tab.. I love paramount plus, good movies, good quality, good price, and everything else except for the live streaming tab. I had so much confusion with it finding out how to stream the Nfl. I had gotten paramount plus because of its good price and movies but overall it was because of the Nfl on Cbs. I had trouble finding out how to watch the Bengals game. I saw it on an ad for paramount plus and wanted to see it but I couldn’t find it anywhere. It took me around an hour to find out that I could only watch my local game and couldn’t see the game I wanted to see. I can understand how you can only stream your local game but I had a hard time finding that out. I suggest maybe a heads up in the app to tell other users that you are only able to watch your local game so they don’t go all over the web like I did and take forever finding that out. The live tab was also glitchy and kept on putting things on I didn’t click on. Overall I think this is a great app and think this streaming service has a lot of potential.

Nick. So I really enjoy paramount because it has all the old Nickelodeon shows but it’s not just that I love it because I use to watch old Nickelodeon shows on Netflix like icarly or Sam and cat but the problem was Netflix didn’t have all the seasons and zoey 101 recently came on Netflix and I really enjoy that show so I was like yay it’s on Netflix now but I realized that again Netflix don’t have all the seasons so i search up where can I watch all the seasons of zoey 101 they said paramount+ and I downloaded it not only did they had all the seasons but they had all the other old Nickelodeon shows too so I was really excited about that too like they had some of the shows that Netflix didn’t have too like drake and josh and the had all the seasons of the other Nickelodeon shows too so if u want too watch an old Nickelodeon show and Netflix don’t got all the seasons try paramount+ but if u guys are reading this try it but don’t put Netflix outta business because my favorite show on there stranger things

App usually opens as a black screen.. UPDATE: I just attempted to access the link given in the developer’s copied-and-pasted response to this review, but right now that link redirects to the main Paramount page, even when signed in. I can only guess that this empty developer response is their attempt to convince review-readers that the black-screen issue is user error with an easy fix. It is not. Truly terrible customer service response. The only fix is for Paramount to make a better app. They’re really leaving viewers no choice but to cancel. This app rarely works anymore on my iPad. It will routinely open up and show just a black screen. My iPad is fully updated and so is the app. When I get the black screen of death, I try force-quitting the app multiple times, restarting the iPad, turning Wi-Fi off and on, removing and reinstalling the app, messing with settings, everything. Nothing works, the app will just start randomly working again hours later, or 10-20 minutes later, if I’m lucky. This issue started about a month or so ago, the app used to work just fine before. I don’t have time to waste contacting technical support, who will tell me to do everything I’ve already done, when I know the issue is on their end. I’ll probably just get rid of the Paramount+ if it continues.

Prepare for extreme disappointment. iPadOS app is garbage. Samsung TV app for Paramount+ is bad, but the iPadOS app is truly awful. It’s bad enough trying to stream, but the download process (to watch when traveling without an internet connection) was extremely buggy and tedious, and then it went from not letting me watch downloaded content (screen would stay black and videos would NOT load, EVER), to saying that I had no downloaded content. Other than the 20+ things I downloaded before I left for my trip, I guess. I had other problems with both the Samsung TV app and the iPadOS app, but once it refused to let me play downloaded content and THEN subsequently claimed I had no downloaded content, I was done with this app. Unless you have an extreme shortage of frustration in your life, stay away from this app. The absolute best provider of content while traveling, especially for watching downloaded content, is APPLE. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Watching material purchases from Apple on my Samsung TV always provides an excellent experience, and nothing compares to it when traveling. It is King of the hill. And if you’re wondering just how much I hate the Paramount+ apps, I think this is the first time I have EVER bothered posting a review about an app.

Would be 5 stars BUT….. I would rate 5 stars because the selection of movies and shows is great. However, my biggest issue is that there is no start over button and the app won’t seem to register that since the movie has played before, to start over automatically when you push play once more. My child wants to watch the same movie 50 times (not all at once obviously, but any time he is allowed to watch a movie he picks the same one). I’m in a constant fight with the app to catch the time slider before it thinks the movie is over and closes. I just fought with it 10 times and it never would play the movie. I had to play something else, which is super frustrating! My other issue isn’t that big of a deal, but still annoying. On other streaming services, if you create a child profile, it only shows children movie and shows. Unfortunately, this app still shows all of the adult movie and shows even with the kids profile (example crime shows). My child never gets to be on the app alone, so I can closely monitor and it isn’t much of an issue for us specifically other than annoying. If the developers could add in a start over button, I’d be SO grateful!! 😅

Honest. They have a great selection, in my opinion! I use a lot of services and this one trumps a lot of them! The only major issue is the apps!! It glitches no matter what I use (phone, laptop, ps4) it’s the worst on my ps4 which is unfortunate. Its been a long time of this same problem and I’m not confident they will fix it anytime soon. I barley keep subscription because I refuse to keep paying for a service that can’t even maintain servers to work properly. It’s honestly a shame seeing they’re not a small business but a large corporation that can afford better programs/ers. If they fixed this then the service would be so much better than other ones!! One more thing is that they still give me ads even though I payed for no ads! I know they’re advertising shows/movies that are on the service that I could go to watch but having to sit through that when I intentionally pay to make sure I’m not interrupted while watching (YES even when I first start it!) sometimes there’s a skip button but again non of the small things even matters that much compared to their apps glitching out all of the time.

Terrible app and ads are ridiculous. Regarding the LG tv app bc there’s no where on that store to leave a review: I understand that there are ads in the cheaper subscription but having to watch ads as the first thing when I so much as click on something to see the first few seconds is awful. I have to sit through minutes of ads before I can even see the beginning of an episode to check if it’s one that I’ve already watched without having to sit through them, because it doesn’t tell you what episodes you’ve already seen. Additionally, the app is incredibly laggy. If I click down while browsing through titles, it won’t move for a solid 5 seconds. Any normal person will try to click it again at first, only for it to catch up and scroll down way too far. Making it a whole mission to go back up. Additionally, if you ever leave what you’re watching on accident, you are forced to watch ads again when you open it up. More often than not, it won’t open up to the place that you left off on either, so you have to skip through and watch the ads again. Absolutely the most painful user interface ever. It’s like the creators of app have never tried using it

Free 7 day trial. It's so weird reading through positive comments on here. I got the free 7 days and there is nooooo way I'm paying for this. It's terrible, there's tons of glitching, times where the show will play really fast or get stuck on one screen while playing audio. A lot of times I open a show and it will just continuously load so I'll close and open it 5 or more times to get it to play. The ten seconds forward and backward are very glitchy and have horrible loading times for just move tens seconds. It almost never saves the show where I left off at. When I'm scrolling looking for new shows there's no remembering where you left off if you go back you have to start all the way over at the top. And I do not want any response telling me to call customer service. Yeah right like I'm going to do that 1:00am while watching survivor reruns because I can't sleep. No way. I'll stick to Netflix and find another way to watch these shows and tv. Even if they offered me a free subscription I think I would still be looking on other platforms like prime video or Netflix because this app is sooooo annoying! Anyways the only thing I say is I'd take it for free but I'll never pay for this quality.

Great but can improve. I’m giving it a 5 stars because for the majority I am loving the experience, I have all the other popular streaming services but none of them offer all the great reality tv shows that I enjoy as well as full seasons from shows like iCarly and drake and josh, etc. The only thing I’ve noticed is the app has no watch list tab where I can add a bunch of shows/movies and watch them later, this comes in handy for days I cross a movie(s) that I’d want to watch later and make sure I don’t forget about them. Another thing I’ve noticed was when I try and watch something from my device and cast the audio to my HomePod so it can sound louder and have higher quality audio, it thinks I’m AirPlaying it to a tv or something because the “AirPlay now casting” stays in the middle of the screen with bold writing and doesn’t seem to disappear at anytime. Hopefully these issues can be fixed in future updates, but as of now I’m loving the large library of entertainment that I can’t find anywhere else.

Still a middling experience. Mid-2021 Update: It boggles my mind that the Paramount+ version of this app still stinks. The UI remains unpredictable and clunky, and load times for shows are very long compared to literally every other streaming app. Also, Paramount+ is so in love with itself that it plays a P+ logo video before every show, which just adds to the overall slowness. For shame. Previously—The All Access app continues to disappoint. While it no longer crashes or gives errors when loading videos, and the UI is a bit improved, it lacks an intuitive element. Indeed, a recent update now makes the experience worse: playing an episode with Bluetooth headphones causes the app to display “Now playing on Airplay” in giant letters across the screen. Multiple attempts to make customer service aware have gone unanswered. The main page doesn’t easily serve up a place to “Keep Watching,” and within episodes, the app lacks basic amenities like “skip recap,” “skip credits,” or starting the next episode when the prior one is over. Given that three new major streaming services and apps have come out since the true launch of All Access (Star Trek: Discovery), I remain confused how this app remains in last place.

Paramount+ is the worst streaming service.. Whoever is marking this app 5 stars is literally lying to you. The only reason I occasionally use Paramount+ is because it is included in my Walmart+ subscription. And I’m about to be done with it for good. For starters, every problem has been an ongoing issue for years and if you Google it hundreds of people have complained and Paramount is fully aware - absolutely nothing is done to fix it because all Paramount cares about is forcing ads on you. The smartphone app is the worst of it. When you try to resume where you left off it often doesn’t save your place at all, forcing you to watch ads and when you try to fast forward or rewind it EVER!!! you have to watch ads. Every other streaming service knows to put ad breaks in the appropriate places and how frustrating it is for users to not be able to use functions without watching 4+ ads every. Single. Time. Like let me BREATHE and figure out what place I was at before sitting through all these ads, oh my god. Such a simple ask! Maybe people would consider purchasing ad-free if Paramount cared at all about making the streaming experience seamless in the first place but they don’t, so why are we expected to throw more money at them? It’s such a silly business practice going on here.
