It’s awesome always catching up on my cbs shows
We’ve paid for this app for a few years now. It’s worth the monthly fee for the content and to stream local news in the mornings without subscribing to cable. There are a ton of disappointments compared to other players. But you get over it. I do wish you could minimize the player to go to other apps and i wish clips auto played instead of manually having to hit play for each one.
App continues to give me a fatal error resulting in it closing. Also continual freezing. You have to subscribe to watch most shows which is BS.
I subscribed to the paid version of the CBS app for a time. After a while I felt really stupid for wasting time and money on this folly. No thanks CBS. With the advent of endless ‘Net toys and free apps galore on such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon stick, Android devices , ad nauseam, why on earth would ANYONE pay for OTA content with a few cheap movies sprinkled in? I agree with some of the other reviews, ill conceived is a very appropriate description with a heavy dose of corporate greed at work trying to siphon every dime out of the consumers so that the CBS execs can maintain their lifestyles, (and their side pieces), if you know what I mean? Shame be cast upon you all!
Really frustrated with this app. Cannot download and watch or ply episodes continuously. Have to reload multiple times
App is garbage. Refresh issues don’t use even though internet speed is more than fine and other apps work just fine. If you charge for something it should work. FIX IT!
Really enjoying this so far. Only thing holding it back from 5 stars is adding options to advance 10 seconds and to fit the picture to my entire phone screen. Seems like every other streaming service has those options.
It is wonderful to be able to watch shows on my cell phone any place.
This is a great app I have never had an issue with disruption. When my receiver for no reason at all doesn’t record I come here never miss a moment. I rate this app much higher than 5 stars.
Maybe this would be good if you didn’t already pay for cbs through a tv provider. You can sign in with your tv provider but get nothing. Tried to watch live game and was redirected to sign up for “free week”. No other tv app that I use and I use many due to work and travel is set up like this. I even called in (twice) and was given incorrect info each time. First rep stated I could use the website without paying (didn’t work), and then the second told me to first delete the app then try so it would not redirect to app (just sent me to App Store). So unless you are willing to pay the extra for “all access” don’t install.
There are two major things I like about the CBS All Access: 1. I would be able to watch any shows and episodes that I missed or want to see again. 2. As I have admired some of the Star Trek shows, I am glad that I am able to watch “Star Trek: Discovery”. I find that streaming with CBS All Access is helpful and enjoyable. What would I do without it?
Easy to use, commercials are limited
The app shrinks the credits with no way to turn it off. (iOS & Apple TV) The Apple TV app auto plays the next thing with no way to turn it off, thus adding things to the “shows you watch” that you can’t remove. Some seasons in a show are left->right ascending, some are descending. So going from one ep to the next is a pain. If you have downloaded an episode, it doesn’t seem to mark it as played until you delete the download. There’s no way to manually mark other episodes as watched. There’s a TINY skip back button but no skip forward button. Both of these should be BIG (like other streaming service apps) with optional gestures. Skip forward is useful to skip opening credit sequence. None of the subtitles seem to have apostrophes, ever. A GOOD thing is that the commercial free version currently goes straight into the show, no reminder of when it airs on broadcast.
This app is constantly freezing. I am currently waiting for the show to start back up as it loads. No other apps have any issues. I have fiber internet and can’t watch any show without it pausing. I am now going to cancel my subscription because of this. CBS please give up and join the other networks with with the big green app.
I tried to sign in with my tv provider to watch the college football national championship but some genius over at cbs thought it would be a good idea to not include the number one tv provider in the country yeah probably a pretty good idea
I didn’t get to finish installing the CBS App. How do I cancel? I’m not as sharp as I used to be. ...It was difficult starting the show I wanted to see but finally I did get it right. It was good being able to see a couple of my favorite shows that I missed last week. But I DO want to know how to cancel!
I don’t have cable, so any TV I watch is on my phone. I like to watch 60 Minutes. But before I can, I have to sit through many, many commercials. I guess that’s how they can offer the app for free.
Downloaded the App to watch 60 minutes. Quick simple download and excellent picture and sound quality on my iPhone 8 s plus. 👍👍
I like the CBS app because you can view your favorite shows the next day instead of waiting a week.
Why does an app that have to pay $5.99 per month stop and load for long periods of time. It is not my internet connection because this is the only app that has a problem. You really need to fix this piece of garbage app.
