Feed Your C-R-A-V-E🤤🤤🤤. Since I was 5 yrs old, WHC has supplied my favorites during these previous six (6) decades. The aroma from the grill as the cooks are preparing the sandwiches for the lunch crowds forward, makes your stomach rumble with hunger for those burgers, fries or onion rings, and oh man, a nice large chocolate shake to top it off in just a measly 15 minutes, if that, of euphoria. Hands down, despite all the positive and negative reviews I’ve been seeing and hearing about how White Castle’s are “Cancer Killers” or not as good as another brand name, wake up and smell the grilled onions. Those naysayers and copycat’s were and still are jealous of the resilience of the O-R-I-G-I-N-A-L Sliders 🍔 the world 🌎 has come to love 💕 and C-R-A-V-E till the ends of time. White Castles welcomes you back home or enlightens your day with a delicious and sizable meal deal that’s comparable to other competitors, but I’m a living testimony from back in the day, I love WHC Sliders and those shakes. The Prodigal Eater left to perform my worldly duties but you know when you come home, there’s nothing like getting your Castles, IMO’s, Best Steak House and Chinese Food Cravings settled before departing from StL and returning later. You only live once and I am glad that WHC has been there for 60 years of good service.

First (and probably LAST) time app user :(. Happy to get a free combo coupon, but I lost it when my phone battery died. Never even got to use it! Clearly you can verify when looking at the order history that the coupon was never used. We live at least an hour from the nearest White Castle and decided to drive all the way here for fresh sliders instead of from the frozen food section. Not that we made the trip solely for the free coupon, but it sweetened the anticipation of picking up a crave case plus a few more free. Fix the coupon redemption!!

Great discounts but hard to find In app. White Castle has been a staple in my life and I love most of the items they offer. When the app came out I was hesitant but as the world has changed I have used it more and more and it’s pretty easy to navigate. The difficulty lies in locating the discounts that are sent in emails that say they are available in the app. I have sat and searched in the app for the email offers but have had very little luck. It’s also a bad sign that when you ask an employee to help you locate them that they can’t either. It’s almost as if you don’t want to give out the discount to all who use the app. If the offers were meant to be found they would make it a lot easier to locate in the app and quit with the wishy washy!

Works When Restaurant Is Operating Normally. 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼? 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘂: Yes 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿: Yes 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘆: Hasn't worked as of 2020. 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗼: Hasn't worked since the feature had been added. 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁/𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗽𝘂𝘁): 70% of the time. Payments decline on the app during morning hours before 08:30 AM local time but works fine when paying inside the store. 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲: Works 90% of the time. The screen may not change at all and, if that's the case, the restaurant has a 50% chance of actually receiving your order. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: Some restaurants are closing, temporarily or permanently, due to staffing shortages or the current employment climate. You may be ordering in advance, believing that the restaurant is operating as normal when the store data listed in the app displays normal operating hours when it is actually closed. In this case, the app will tell you that you are ordering outside of operating hours and, chances are, it really 𝙞𝙨 closed. Instead of complaining here, please call the restaurant or visit it if possible to confirm.

Let’s eat. Best fast food app. They let you take advantage of the discounts and stack them up. I don’t order to much maybe once or twice a month during football season but what keeps me coming is the promos no other fast food business dares to come close, and the White Castle in hasbrok heights in NJ they may not always be the happiest of people but they do continue to be respectful and professional so it’s pleasing to go there.

App has issues. The app is not user friendly. When u order it has a space for additional information well I always get a large hic orange. Evidently that information does not show up for the employees so instead of getting my hic that I wanted I got Fanta orange. Sections overlap each other. Up until just recently onion chips were not on the app to order. More often than not I am Stu k with pickle on my sandwich when I clearly ask for NO pickle. I’m going to stop using it and possibly going all together. The customer care is ridiculously under trained In how to speak to customers the tone, the vernacular, the unprofessional, the communication as a whole.

Can’t use Apple Pay. Every time I finish putting together an order with the app, it tells me that I can’t use Apple Pay. In fact, I can’t pay online at all. I still have to pay in person at the store. Every time I get to the store to pick up an order that I placed with the app, there is a ridiculous line. Instead of having people pull into the “waiting spots”, they leave everyone in line until the first order is done. By the time I get my food, it is well beyond the pick up time and it’s cold. It’s a waste of time and money. I think I’m done with this place. I’ve given it too many chances.

Online ordering. This is the way to go. I have used it twice. The first time I had a large order. It was ready right on time. I just went in and picked it up. The second time I went through the drive thru and again it was ready when Zi got up to the window to pick it up. It’s not like they make it a while before time to pick up and it sits and cools down. The food was hot.

One Of The Worst Apps Ever. I gave this app a 1 star because I was forced to. 99% of the Tim, the app does not work at White Castle locations and the employees are aware of this, therefore you’ll ever be able to use the app coupons in the drive thru. I was told by 2 employees (at 2 different locations) they believe White Castle interferes with the internet/connection to avoid you using the app/coupons. If you’re able to get the app up, you’re going to wait in the drive they for longer than 15 minutes, so again you can’t use the coupon because it’s not available for another 7 days, after it’s generated. I’m currently in the drive thru and one car is ahead of me at the window. My order is not taken u til the car at the window has ordered AND have received their food. This is why the coupon times out. I’m sitting for over 11 minutes now.

Takes the order and the money, even if the store isn’t open for pickup.. Used the app for the first time yesterday. I chose the option to pick up the food inside, because I don’t want to wait in a long drive through line when I’ve already ordered and paid. When I got there, the doors were locked, and there were cars backed up into the street in the drive through. I called the number three times, but no one answered so I left a message asking for a refund and went somewhere else. Exactly 44 minutes later they called me to ask when I was going to pick up the food. I politely explained that I tried, but had to go somewhere else and needed a refund. They said it was already paid, they couldn’t refund the money, and I should have called. I explained the app offered to let me pick it up inside, and I called three times. They said if it’s after 11am, the doors will be locked every day. I suggested they turn that option off on the app if it wasn’t an option they actually provide. They said they would reach out to “corporate” and try to get a refund.

Opening Time. The White Castle I ordered from doesn’t open until 7 a.m. I didn’t know that, the app let me order, and said it would be ready by 6:12 a.m. I pulled up to the drive thru widow and explained to one of the ladies my situation and that I had to be at work by seven. She was gracious enough to make the order for me. I feel that my next statement is not on her, per say, but because of the situation. I ordered two sausage egg and cheese and added bacon breakfast sliders, but received sausage egg and cheese, no bacon. So not a great experience.

this app is a good idea but doesn’t work.. i ordered on the app, got to the location at my pick up time and the location said they did not have my order after waiting 15 minutes in line. i then had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get my food. no one apologized or even acknowledged the inconvenience. If this app can’t make ordering then what’s the point? The general manager was even in the building and did not care, only to mention that i was the second customer this happened to as if that made it any better. use mcdonald’s app, it works and they always have your food.

Good but…. The past 2 times is have ordered have been bad experiences unlike other times in the past. The last time the store didn’t get my order through their system until about 30 minutes after I put in the order, so instead of being ready 15 minutes after I had put it in it was about 45 minutes. Then today the store was kind enough to call me to let me know they would not be able to prepare any of the breakfast food items ordered or my drink so they didn’t want me to make a wasted trip. Both times a I was getting done working a long 12 hour shift with a lower glucose level and had to eat my options in my vehicle (peanut butter crackers and glucose tablets) since nothing is really opened any more when I get off work in the middle of the night. Makes me not really want to use the app any more or go to that particular location any more.

App has stopped working!!. For the past 2 weeks I have been unable to login to my account which means that I can't use any deals or place any orders!! Every time I try to login it either won't let me or says "loyalty login error". Even clicking forgot password does absolutely nothing! I've been clicking forgot password for the past 2 weeks and haven't received a single email. There's no way to even contact someone about this issue so I'm left unable to use the app at all which just means I won't be going to White Castle any till it gets fixed. Was going 2-3 times a week but now I haven't been in the past 2 weeks

Too slow. Ordered online thinking it would/should save time. Order at 6:10 pm, app said pick up at 6:33 pm, drove 15 min to our nearest White Castle arriving at 6:25 pm, and sat waiting in parking lot. App then changed pick up to 6:40 pm. No cars parked in lot, only saw 4 customers drive through while waiting. Pulled up to drive through speaker at 6:42 pm and informed them of my online order. Two cars ahead of me. When I got to the window at 6:45 pm, they asked me to pull into waiting area. waited there for another 20 minutes until they finally brought my order out at 7:05 pm. NOT IMPRESSED with online app!! Woulda probably saved more time just ordering the normal way.

My experience ordering through the app. It’s great as far as order being ready at the window but still have to wait in long line vs having a order ready pickup option then your order still not to your specifications because workers are not reading the specific order request such as your app has Hi-C fruit punch but I asked for orange because there wasn’t an option to check orange only fruit punch then in comments I asked for orange but got fruit punch.....

Order time. The minimum 15 minute wait time on an app order seems to be very unrealistic. Take a look at Wendy’s app. It just ask that you let you know when you have arrived. If that doesn’t work for White Castle and at least give us an opportunity do you have the app use our location to determine how far away we are and how much time you should take for us to get there. But I’m never 15 minutes away when I’m making an order via the app and I am on the road.

Great App. I use this app very often as I am an avid slider smasher. Never had an issue, they have good coupons, they remember all your history from each store, they allow you to order without paying up front which is handy when you only have cash, and the app overall is pretty stable. Only had it crash a couple times in 3 yrs. so download if you are a White Castle fiend like me!!

Great for ordering, but still have to wait. This is great for ordering ahead, but there’s no way to pay using the app and every time I use it, the food is prepared after I get there rather than being ready for pickup when I get there. I’m not sure the point since you still have to wait in line and wait for order to be prepped. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, but the people at the counter said that’s just the way it works.

Buggy Trash app and Sucky “Deals”. It took me about 15 minutes to get signed up (because of the app, not me), then it kept giving me a “location error” and prompting me to enable location services which I had already done. After finding that I could manually select my location I eventually get to the deals section (which requires additional “signing up”) and the best deal they have is $5 off of a $33 crave case… Pro tip: If you’re going to go through the hassle of downloading this app and signing up, select the date it currently is as your birthday when you sign up for the crave nation part and you will get a $10 meal free, and it gives you 30 days to redeem it.

App doesn’t send everything you choose to the store. I asked for no pickles or onions or my online order. When I arrived my order was not even put I to the system until I walked Thru the door 20 minutes after I put the order in and paid for it. And the order never said no pickle. Just no onions. And I ordered ketchup and mustard on each burger. The store never saw that on the order. It just wasn’t there. They showed me the receipt. I wish they would get this together. Because when you get home you have stuff on the burger that you asked not to put on them. This is not good.

APP IS GOOD SERVICE WAS AGGRAVATING. APP was easy to navigate. Was able to get my order in quickly. I did a pick up order and paid online so that I would NOT have to wait in the the drive thru and here I am waiting in the drive thru!!!!!!! There was an employee standing with the door open smoking and yelled “drive thru” at me as I was getting out of my car, and I said I’m just picking up an order, “go to the drive thru” is the response I got. Super AGGRAVATING!!!!!! I understand not all places are open right now, and it’s great they’re trying to keep everyone safe, BUT if I can’t pick up inside it shouldn’t be an option on the APP!!!!!!!!! I’ve been sitting in the drive thru, for 5 minutes and haven’t moved!!!! By the time I get to the window my food which was supposed to be ready 3minutes ago is going to be cold.

Great app, needs UI fixes. This app works excellent on the back end — very easy to search and find white castles, anywhere, and the ordering/payment is quick and simple. Menu and options are extensive and customizable. I’d ask the engineers to take a look at the UI when updating items or provide a special instructions. The special instructions box gets cut off at the bottom of the screen, and it’s nearly impossible to edit. At the same time, accessing that box can also accidentally cause the user to touch one of the other options near it, potentially leading to incorrect instructions for an order. Otherwise, ordering is fast and simple, far better than just about every other online ordering service I have ever used. Just double check your order before placing it!

App needs to update the locations preferences. I placed an online order to be ready to pick up in store for 12:30 am on 8/21. I pulled In and waited 10 minutes to go in with 5 minutes still to go, the doors were locked. They expected me to go through the drive thru when the drive thru at that point was backed up to edge of parking lot. Why doesn’t the app have accurate information about the locations? Had I known I would’ve went through drive thru period & not wasted time, with no food to show for that I pre-paid for. Hopefully I get refunded since I couldn’t wait another 15-20 minutes…

Change selection of pickup time!!!. OMG, overall the app is easy to use, but why in the world to you ask to select the pickup time when the first item is added to the cart. MOVE IT TO THE END OF THE ORDER! We selected pickup time on the way to the store that was 40 minutes out, it took us 12 minutes to place the order, then get a notification that the pickup time was less than 30 minutes. To top it off, we could NOT CHANGE THE PICKUP TIME, and found the only way to get around it was to cancel the order and restart the ENTIRE ORDER at a later time! Overall the app is easy to use but for God’s sake, change the pickup time to the end of the order NOT AT THE BEGINNING!

Ok when they’re not out of items. If it happened once or twice that’s no big deal. But it’s been at least half my orders when I get there they say they don’t have something I ordered. Today was the chicken rings and fries. I wouldn’t have bothered going if the entire ordered can’t be filled. Only reason I continue to use this is because you can choose pay at castle. I’ll never use a credit card if I have to wait and see if the entire order can be filled. The app needs an update that allows individual locations to turn off items they don’t have.

White Castle app. This is the most confusing and hard to use app of any restaurant I go to. I use the apps at all the restaurants and I eat out 7 days a week 2times a day and the is the worst. When I signed up I never got my free combo every time I try to use the deals they never work plus the employees are rude and not helpful at all. Seems like to me (other restaurants the employees know how to use their app) it should be part of the job. And unless you just trying to trick people into thinking they are gonna get a good deal to them to the store you should fix this. I came to White Castle Tonight for someone else, I have not and will not spend one penny at White Castle until I get my free combo for downloading the app!!

White Castle App. Would have been 5 stars however I am only giving 4 because in order to find out any pricing on all of the items you have to the checkout. Once you get the price of the item you then have to delete the item from your sack. In all honesty the app should total or at least provide a price once the customer selects the item. I cannot imagine that it would be terribly difficult for the IT department to provide this feature and enhance the customer experience and provide outstanding customer service to both their external and internal customers.

Super annoying app. They could really spend a little money to make this app easier to place orders and pay. You can’t see prices for their huge menu and many different offerings until after you’ve 1) added to your cart, and then 2) go into the cart to see what you’ve just added. It isn’t smart enough to use your location to find a store, frequently times out when you’re trying to pay in the app, can’t remember your payment method so you have to enter a million numbers each time, and is general it just cumbersome. Other restaurants treat their mobile app customers better than this, so only bother with the app if you’ve REALLY got a craving (or the app and make it easier to pick up without having to wait in the drive thru line like the other restaurants do).

Great again. For the last week or so I haven’t been able to access the app. When I open it it’s a blank screen. After waiting for an update I deleted it and reinstalled it. I thought I knew my password, but it won’t accept it. I chose the option to reset my password several times and they never send anything. I hope they work this out, because this app used to be great Update: It’s back! Rating changed

Useless for customers. I go to the WC in Frankfort, KY. I order the crave clutch and pay ahead with the app and expect to pick up my order when I go to the counter at the appointee time. The person in front of me in line orders a crave clutch and gets a ticket number for when his order is ready. I tell the person at the counter my order number for the order that is supposed to be ready 15 minutes after I’ve ordered it and paid on the app. Guess what? They give me a ticket number too. I get my app order after the guy who ordered for the first time when he was standing in front of me when I was in line to pick up my order. My order should have been ready and waiting for me. How does this app benefit me at all? Im not getting faster service. Im not getting discounts. It’s useless.

Very Convenient. I love being able to place a mobile order when I get off work late at night between 1a-3a because the food will be ready by the time I get there. I love how I can choose to pay by phone or if I have cash pay at the restaurant. The only 2 issues I have are 1) if the store is closed for whatever reason, there needs to be a notification of some sort when you try to order from that restaurant and 2) there needs to be a customization selection on the app. Basically I like to order their Bacon Ranch Cheese Fries without the Ranch and I leave that info under special instructions, but it always gets missed…. But overall I’m still satisfied with the app.

App order is easy/Location- Not so much. Ordering on the app was easy and convenient but when I arrived, 5 min after order was suppose to be ready, they had not started the order. They were “surprised” and had no clue there was an app order. They printed out the order and started it. It took an extra 17 min to get my order ready. I would understand if they were busy but there were no other customers at the restaurant, including drive thru, and no online orders were ready. This is highly disappointing!

Don’t waste your time. I downloaded the app so I could order ahead of time because you know White Castle has the worst lines. The app worked fine except it takes your money as soon as you order not when you get there like the McDonald’s app. When I get to the location there are no spots to pull in and have them bring you your food. The inside was closed even though there was a sign that said the inside was still open for carry out. So I had to pull into the long drive through line. It took forever and I couldn’t even leave and go somewhere else because the app took my money when I placed the order. Won’t be using again. Terrible customer experience.

Convenient. Great job accomplishing what a fast food app should do. I can place my order, pay and still go through the drive up window. The store actually starts my order and it is ready within the timeframe suggested! Another great feature is it keeps track of your order history. That way if you have a favorite lunch order or a large order for the entire family, it’s just a touch of the screen…keep up the good work!

So hard to navigate. Had to change locations as I was about to submit and saw it was a WC 15 miles away. this erased my order - except for the 1st selection of my 2 selection order (double American cheese combo + 2 more double sliders. Now I have 6 sliders - paid for - that I cannot eat. Next - this is my 3rd time using the app. I use Starbucks daily and McDonald’s twice a week, at least twice a week. Those apps so so much more intuitive. Yours is just hard to navigate. It has to much all over the app. Make it much more simple. And it should know what WC I’m at. If you made it look exactly like the drive up menu, that would be great! A lot less confusing. Your customers know that menu. Why try to make it something else online? Makes no sense and it frustrates me. Lastly, it doesn’t identify me so when I get to the window it’s just “mobile order”. Now I have to just hope the order is right and of course there’s no personalization. Have an opportunity to say my name and make me feel not like a number. That counts.

Maybe I’m just not used to it…. It’s ok…not too user friendly. I’m used to the McDonald’s app which is amazing and super easy to use. Also wish there were deals for app users like McDonald’s and a reward system for using the app. I had to click on each case to see what exactly it was. Would be better if I could read what is being offered without having to click on each one. Also wish there was a “sauce” option to choose your sauces. I just put it in the comments. In my experience they either never give you sauce even when asked or when asked they give you like 5 packets for 30 burgers…if White Castle would use the same format as McDonald’s app they’d probably have happier app users

Prices. Overall the app operates smoothly! The only request I’d make if any would be to list the prices of each item in the menu. As of now the only way to see the prices is to add the item to your cart then go to the cart or checkout page to see the price. I find myself a lot of times deleting items out of cart after seeing the price. Not a major issue it’s just a petty inconvenience that honestly a lot of customers would like to see the prices in the menu. Other than this it’s a great app!!!

Good discounts and helpful for special orders. I just started using this app in the past few months and wish I had started using it a couple years ago. I love having our order ready when I pull up instead of having to get in line, wait to ask for my order, and wait for it to be prepared. I mean that’s a first world problem, but this app really saves us a lot of time. We have a White Castle in our neighborhood that has the best employees of any chain drive through on the whole north side of our city, but I can only assume they are chronically understaffed. We often wait five to ten minutes to order food, and the another 5-10 (or longer) for it to be ready at the window. So being able to order in advance and then only have to wait at the pickup counter is really great. I said that this app is really helpful for special orders, but I have to reiterate that the staff at our neighborhood White Castle is really good. They have never once gotten our order wrong, and they are the friendliest, most competent, most positive drive-through staff I’ve ever encountered. No matter who’s at the window, even when they hire new employees, they are always wonderful. So I don’t need this app to get our orders correct. I use it for the speedier service, and appreciate the online ordering coupons we get every once in a while.

I love WHITEYS!!!. So seriously this app the best I’ve been a craver for 20 years, I even take people who are from out of state to white castles hoping they get the itch like I do. I’ve got the sweater, the mugs all the old toys (remember when they used to give those out??) i’ve won several white castle eating contests, and generally really really really just like this company. They’re not publicly traded, and it shows. This is mom and pop at the highest level. In regards to the app, there is some misgivings about it like accidentally deleting a coupon, but your customer service when you call and have a problem with the app is dynamite!! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to correct mistakes, and this was during the holiday season. When everyone’s kind of crabby with you. They were not. For that White Castle, I thank you. If you don’t have this app, and you enjoy eating their food, download it. I highly recommend it

Love the Castle, not the app. I’ve loved White Castle for almost 40 years and have probably consumed 50,000 sliders or more my entire lifetime. I’ll also go back, but my app experience was so bad it’s just not worth it. Coupons are great, but every time I order in the app the restaurant never had the order ready and usually struggles to locate it. That’s not the worst part of it, the app itself consumes your battery! I haven’t used the app in a week and yesterday I came to my phone to discover it was almost dead after 5 hours just sitting in my pocket and it was hot to touch. I looked at battery consumption and the White Castle app was 86% of my usage 🥳. I turned off background app refresh and it continued to dominate so I put it to bed and deleted it. I might revisit it down the road for the coupons, but the bugs need to be worked out.

Nice to have app but it needs improvement. Navigating your way through this app isn’t intuitive whatsoever. It took me way longer to figure out how to place a dang mobile order than it has ever taken me to set up in any other fast food apps I’ve used. I nearly gave up a few different times as I became very frustrated in trying to use the app but an employee told me the last time I came to white castles that I’d get a sick coupon to use upon registering for the crave nation rewards program now being offered so that’s the only reason I kept up with it and it paid off cuz eventually I figured out how to place my order and apply that coupon. But I know my parents wouldn’t have been able to figure the dang thing out if it had been them struggling with it so I’d highly recommend you all get developers to work out all those kinks and make the app more user friendly for a wider range of customers! Just a suggestion!

Still works on my old iPhone 6 Plus!. Still works on my old iPhone 6 Plus! One of the few apps that does. I stop going to restaurants if they update their app and exclude old phones. Old phones like mine are considered “vintage“. They do not update the operating systems on them anymore. I have stopped going to McDonald’s, Burger King, and Sonic because they updated their app, excluding old phones. My old phone works fine, and I don’t feel the need to spend money on a new one.

Didn’t work. I joined the craver nation and there was a coupon for a free slider combo (4 original sliders, small fry, small drink) but it was only available via an in-app order. I tried to place the order but the app had some sort of communication error. It said to contact the store to place the order, so I went to the drive thru to tell them the issue I was having. After explaining the situation and giving them my phone to look at for like 10 minutes, they resolved to do nothing for me, and I left with no food. I’m just really disappointed to have wasted my time and gas for nothing like that. Seems pretty deceptive to have been offered free food but then not get any of it because the app decides not to work and the store won’t do anything to remedy the situation.

Never Again. Placed order thru app. Paid. Order to be ready at 1:35. I arrived with three people in line , at the counter. I thought it would be easier to grab and go rather than sit in the drive thru. There was one employee manning the grill, fryer, drink station , drive thru and walking. We could not see her mike and thought she was ignoring us as she would not answer us. One person left. So would I but my order was paid for. Two more came in but also left. By the time she acknowledged me she said the order did not show up on her computer. It’s now 2:00. Forty five min after the order was place and 30 min. After I arrived. I had to show the order confirmation. To which she responded “that don’t mean a thing” it’s not on my computer. Read me the order. And I’m being polite in my reiteration if the service. I understand the frustration but don’t dish it to your customers because employees didn’t show up. App is being removed. I’ll never eat a White Castle ever again.

Worst app & worst service EVER!!. The app is EXTREMELY Slow!! I ordered from the app pulled up to the dt only to be told by a girl with an attitude that they don’t have my order. I used to love really love White Castle, when I was a kid they didn’t have it near us so we’d get it while traveling & it was a great treat. I’m sorry to say that while I like White Castle the restaurant’s have lost my business. I don’t go to restaurants for poor customer service. I also won’t support a restaurant where the app doesn’t work as it should so Congratulations White Castle you lost a customer for life & I will tell others of my experience so they don’t have the same thing happen to them. If I could give a negative star I would.

You need to include. The app is decent. But you MUST add the ability to add ketchup and mustard. I only see being able to add it if you add it in the special instructions. Guess what happens in that area. People don’t read it. It’s an overnight. At least twice now I’ve added it to the instructions section and stupidly don’t ask before I leave, get it home and wouldn’t you know it, there’s no ketchup and mustard. Just like you ask if people want onions and pickles ask if you do or don’t want ketchup and mustard. I know you know people like your mustard because you sell bottles of it. So please add it to the list of ingredients to either add or not put on. And then if I forget to click “yes” then it’s my fault. Thank you for your time

Great app so far. The app is flawless but if the people working at the White Castle is not paying attention your order will sit there in the system just like right now I pulled up the drive-through and they didn’t know I had to order there until they had to check the cash register...that plan didn’t work out too well... so I sit at the drive-through like I didn’t want to do, waiting for my order to be made

Broken App, Overall System or Store Management. Placed order on the app, paid via Apple Pay and then set pickup time for the 15min+ minimum. Arrived just on time and was then told my order did not show up on their system. I had the order number and also verified Apple Pay had hit my credit card, I saw the pending charge. After several mins at the window, was told to come inside to wait for my order to show up. I asked if they could pull up the order somehow some way since I already have a order number. They said it’s not possible and had to wait for the system to pop up the order on their end. This seems like a very inefficient system. They said they had no way to pull up an order and must wait. After 30mins, still nothing and then that’s when they said there nothing they can do and have to call corporate to see what they can do but unfortunately they said corporate is closed. That seems rather inefficient... So White Castle seems to have a very legacy system and upper management doesn’t trust their stores to handle cases such as these on their own? All that or this store staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. After all this, I ended up just leaving the store, got food elsewhere and will be disputing the charge on my credit card.

Great app if location pays attention.. Love the White Castle app. Need to pick good location though. I have two castles near me. If I use the slightly closer one to order when I get there to pick up order they act like they dont know what app is and then make order. If I pick the slightly further location and choose drive thru pickup my food is ready and waiting. Good sales on app also to save a few bucks.

Payment issues. The app is perfectly fine but the payment screen is always malfunctioning. Every time I use the app I have to pay at store because multiple tender options always error out. Update: they’ve fixed it. Apple Pay works every time now. Thank the pregnancy cravings goddess

Poor efficiency and app. The app isn’t set up that well. It’s laggy and looks dated. It makes you set your pickup time 15 minutes ahead. Instead of not letting you set it 15 minutes ahead, you have to calculate it yourself and type in the time. It will say it’s too early if it is 15 minutes so you have to do 16 minutes ahead really. Once you get there, they will be drive through only and you’ll have to sit in line for about 40 minutes to even tell them you’re here. They’re not very efficient. I almost always hate having to deal with White Castle but I love their food.

Much improved app. App has improved with much easier user friendly ordering and ability to navigate between menus. Checkout is quick and easy. A little bit slow on pickup time however.

Glitches. Screen froze on me for about 5 min when I selected my payment method. When my order was finally complete part of my order changed. I selected no cheese for all of my meals and it still showed cheese on two of my sandwiches. I had to call my selected store location to tell them no cheese on any of my sandwiches.

Ok, BUT….. App says they come with mustard ketchup sauce, you will NEVER get that. WHY? Should not have to ask or check a box (guess what, not able to even check a box as it does not exist, come on really?) How about ask for everything in the notes? That too does not work as they don’t even read the notes. Only way to get it right is order in person and not app or make sure the COO is getting this to all the stores via training .

Worst food app.. Have only used the app a few times now, and each time I’ve had to wait 30+ min longer for each order. This last time I pulled into Online Pickup parking, sign says to pick up inside, but all doors are locked. Line of 12-15 cars… I ask guy working window if I can just grab from him. He says “yes your order is ready, but you have to wait in the drive through line.” Last time they didn’t even start to make my order until I got to the drive through window. Useless app.

Overall simple… some glitches. Nice layout. Pretty easy to use. Had some issues adding items to order once viewed “my sack”. I found it a little challenging to make out which item was associated to the Delete resulting in my choosing the wrong one. Otherwise good job to the UI team that designed as it has a very simplistic flow. Try it today!

Love this app!. It is so user-friendly...everything is designed and setup purposefully for ease of use. You can quickly make your choices from the menu options, customize your order and make any necessary changes without any confusion or frustration. Definitely recommend to everyone!!!

Experience. App works great if the order pops up at the location. I showed up 2 mins early and was informed that they didn’t have my order. I showed my confirmation and the order was completed but of course I had to wait as I ordered a crave case. This is the reason I ordered ahead of time as the last time I came to this location it took 20 mins to complete my order

Apparently mobile ordering is harder to understand?. I’m a pretty simple guy. Just burger,cheese, and bun for my order but all of a sudden if I’m not saying this order to a person and I mobile order it it’s hard to understand? Drive up ( because my order is for drive through) and the ticket is lost when I’m asking for it like okay??? I have to go look for the amount the order is to find my order AND THEN YOU DON’T EVEN GET IT RIGHT WHEN I PICK UP MY ORDER. It’s kinda pathetic but I guess I’ll just waste time not ordering it ahead of time if it saves the disappointment and get it at the window.

The app is pretty clunky. The app looks a little disorganized. And I’m not a huge fan of mobile orders being at least 30 minutes in the future. So if I’m here already and want to use a mobile order coupon I have to sit around for 30 minutes doing nothing waiting on them to start making it. And Apple Pay just doesn’t seem to work. Keeps giving me a gateway error.

IT PAYS TO CRAVE WITH THE WHITE CASTLE APP!!. The ease of use of the app is excellent. I enjoy the special deals from being in the Craver crew and using the app together. It makes ordering on my mobile phone very easy to do. I love that I can order in advance and stroll in to pick up my food. So far, so good. The hardest part is limiting my visits to the Castle! 😂😂😂 White Castle Craver since 1977

Battery Vampire!. Didn’t have a problem till the most recent update. A little background usage is fine, but suddenly this thing has gone nuts. In the last 24 hours, without ever being opened, its run almost 7 hours in the background and accounted for over 50% of my battery use. Just removed it’s background update privileges, so we’ll see if that helps. As far as the actual functionality of the app, it’s not bad, and the coupons are nice, but I would honestly look at McDonald’s and Wendy’s apps for ideas on how to enhance. Better customization would be a good start.

Could be better. Pretty good but it can be a little offputting and confusing when you are selecting your items like when you are selecting different cheeses for your sliders and I didn’t want any ketchup on any of them but it only said I did not want ketchup on the ones with the American cheese so I had to go back and say that I didn’t want ketchup on the other three that had the different type of cheese

Very easy to use. Very easy to use the app. Love the free items when you sign up. I love that you can do a mobile order. Not just coupons at the restaurant. Haven’t actually picked up my order yet but is supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. Just enough time for me to get there!

Mobile Special Offers. For downloading the app, it said I would get a free 4 original slider meal, but when I went to remove it from the cart, and then re-add it with something different it no longer appeared as the free special offer. I didn’t log out, I was simply changing the order because it was for my husband and he doesn’t eat cheese. I thought I was ordering some cheese sliders for myself after placing the offer order for my husband, but it showed the cheese sliders as the offer which is why I deleted it! First time using your app and I’m really annoyed.

Gotta LOVE White Castle…. Not only is White Castle the bomb as is but they’re the ONLY food app that has given me a free meal just for downloading the app! I already come here every chance I get when I come to the city but NOW that I know that.. they’ll be getting even more of my business! Thank you White Castle!

Can’t cancel an order. I’ve had two bad experiences where two different locations have been closed during normal business hours. You are unable to cancel an order, so White Castle just steals your money. I’ve paid well over $30 for each order and never received any food, NOR a refund. There needs to be a more in your face, user friendly method of cancelling an order. Not to mention, the employees need to LET YOU KNOW at the window if they’re out of something instead of trying to short your order.

Mobile Ordering with Coupons difficult. Ordering with my phone via mobile coupons is clumsy and rather difficult to navigate. You add your coupon and it never shows until the end. Then farting back to the home page is not instinctive. Just kind of clumsy and confusing. Without coupons and using the in stor coupons is great.

Confirmation. The confirmation from the online order doesn’t state the dollar amount but when you pick up your order they need the dollar amount in order for you to get your order. I had to go online to my bank and get the amount….makes no sense…if it’s needed why wouldn’t it be on the confirmation that comes up after your order?

Nice layout and easy to use. One of the better online ordering apps out there. Never any problems and very easy to change things up and good confirmation of changes before adding to the cart (or sack). Always use before heading to the Castle.

20% off Discount disappeared. Hey the mobile app is a convenient way to pay and pick up food saving me time and stress. How ever this is my first time using the app and a 20% off the first mobile order appeared. I clicked it, filled out the crave nation signup. Made my order and the 20% coupon disappeared. I could’ve really used that on a $50 order. 3 instead of 5 stars for playing with my emotions and money! Better luck next time.

Horrible app. How is it this is the second time I order for pickup through the app and I come in and my order apparently never showed up on there system. So now I have to wait an extra 20 mins for them to make my food. I thought the purpose of the app was so I could pick up at the pick up time and leave, not wait in the store. What’s worse is there are people coming in the store to order and they are getting their food before me. Either step up your app, or your employees.

Order problems. They never see my online orders. I have places important to be this is why I order online because it says that the order is supposed to be ready by a certain time. But they start making the order when I get there AND THEN THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! Someone has to get this branch in order. Please!

App good. Communication with the store bad. I am a Castle nut. Love it. But I have used the app a lot. But every time. 100% of the time I show up to get my food at the pick up time and once I say I am there for my online order, that is when they start making it. I always leave with my order 1/2 hour after I walk in to pick it up at the set time. So why use the app if they are going to start the order when you get there?

Food dissatisfaction. My food said it would be ready at 1:01AM.... I’m here at 1:20AM and it’s still not ready... the stAff has an attitude that they have to cook my food like it’s an inconvenience.... I eat White Castle breakfast all the time but I will not be going back here for lunch or breakfast... not only have I sat in the drive thru for 18 minutes when my food said it was going to be ready , they put cheese on all my regular sliders. They also did not give me a honey mustard, which I selected in the app. Super disappointed in the service, quality and quantity of the food.

Pretty Buggy. Clicked on a deal and selected “use now” before creating my order. Put together the order and the deal wasn’t applied at checkout. Tried to start over and the deal is now locked. Tried to create a new order after giving up on applying the original meal deal and the app wouldn’t load the checkout screen. Had to close and reopen the app 7 times. Each time it asked to continue the order but each time the slider option would change. It keeps defaulting to smoked cheddar cheese for some reason. Kind of sucked overall.

Coupons Dissapear. I have applied a coupon to an order only to have it disappear when I review the order to pay for it. This has happened more than a few times. To make this issue worse, once a coupon has been added to an order, you can no longer reapply it to the same order once it has magically disappeared from it. On another issue, I have arrived at the restaurant after the stated pickup time, more than once, and the staff had not checked for new incoming orders. Thus, they hadn’t even started to prepare it.

What’s the point?. Have used the app for an entire year and literally EVERY SINGLE TIME when I get there I get told, ‘uhhh, oh, um we just saw your order, so it’s gonna be a little bit’. I specifically use the app because the Impossible takes a long time for them to make, and the workers always grumble when they find out they have to make them. So I try to give them a heads up both for my time and their convenience... but there’s literally NO POINT! So I give up, just never going back, deleting the app right now!

App stinks. This app is very messed up. The timeout is way too long to change and harder and you can’t even change the time to pick up the order unless you completely delete the order wait the entire time and then log out and then log back in and then do the new order absolutely the worst app ever seen in my life. Why don’t you look at five guys and see how big their app and I’ll easy it is to fill out the information, credit card information and everything. None of your stuff on the app is auto fill. Have to enter at all now as very horrible app.

Not worth it. Even with the save 20% and picking the order up myself cost more then if I would of ordered it when I got there. What a scam make you think you are saving. The order was messed up. When I mentioned that I had a pop with it and also it would of been cheaper not to use the online. The cashier just said that’s an online order and she doesn’t use online so she doesn’t know. I paid extra to get onion chips and I got fries and no onion chips. The hamburgers had mustard and tons of pickles on them. Not what I ordered.

Not easy to use. Needs some work - if you customize an item (for example, select no pickles) it’ll add double pickles. You always have to edit the item twice to get what you want. Another problem, if you edit an item to change a selection (for example, change from cheddar to jalapeño cheese after you’ve added the item) it’ll remove all your changes and apply the defaults (ie add your pickles back that you removed in the first step). The app is slow and clumsy - definitely needs more work!

We have used it a few times now. The app has been very good. It does default to the closest location which isn’t necessarily in our state since we’re here in Kentucky. It’ll pull location over in Ohio because it’s geographically closer but it’s not where we’re going. Also would be nice to be able to cancel orders through the app when something like that happens. We really appreciate the discount.

White Castle. I eat White Castle 5x a week and the workers are tremendous; however, the online service - on multiple occasions - has brought me to my knees. Why are we making something so simple, so difficult? I love White Castle, and I’ll never stop eating at White Castle; but the online app has humbled me. An experience that makes me, even the tech-savvy, feel foolish. I’ll engage with this online service because if I don’t get my chicken nipplers every night at 3:00 a.m., my heart will stop - BUT, every time I engage with the online client, I am filled with doubt (about my own intelligence) and concern. Order ahead but also call. The app itself is fine. Would like for navigation to not be on the edges of the screen. With the new iphones its an awkward place to click. The real problem is the store has no notification that you have placed an order. So if you order and call the location you will have your order prepared. After a year of not eating at white castle because my order was never ready, i finally discovered how to get the order process to work. You have to call the location and tell them you are coming for the order. It was a lot of Hangry days and anxiety built, trying to order or lunch or in a time crunch. You might as well order there but also skip the mobile deals. 😔

Wonderfully Amazing. This app was so professionally done that, I seriously thought about how simplified they made it for there customers. It was so amazing that they have coupons on the app for customers to use with there order. I was more than happy with everything this app offered Thank You White Castle 🍔

Online ordering. I give the app 5 stars, but it was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. Of course I didn’t go in to pick it up, I waited in line and that took another 25 minutes and it still wasn’t ready! How is that any faster if I still had to wait for my order.

Couple items. 1) Store hours reject should highlight the reason better. 2) after providing payment, there is a lag and appears as though the payment was not processed. The screen after we enter payment info should say “processing” or something. I almost made payment a second time.

Charged extra at restaurant. I’ve used the app many times and had no issues for the most part. However when I place an order in the app to be picked up at the restaurant I am most always asked to pay more when I pick up my order. This gets irritating sometimes. I’ve already paid why pay more?!?!?

The app and locations are always great.. Just keep in mind white castles always have that vibe of a drunk nights stop. But i always love the food weather drunk or sober lol. Also if your making a review during post covid and all you need to keep in mind things are messed up everywhere for every food establishment.

Way to easy. Just take my money and fatten me up like the king I am treated as in this ivory oasis for consumption. intricately depicted menu items and accurately described ingredients like an artisan of the renaissance built each image on a custom pallet. Payment! What a glory to the royalty that has made it connect through Apple Pay so that your road tax may be managed before your carriage pulls through! HAZAA!

A little annoyed. Can’t customize sliders like other fast food apps. You have to put in special instructions and hope someone is paying attention to it. Also why do we have to wait 15 minutes after we order to pick up our food? I should be able to order in the parking lot and get it just as if I were in the drive through line.

Can’t order, no point. Can’t even order what you want, so why bother? Why have an app at all?! When I could add what I wanted from the menu, I would always get payment errors when I went to complete the transaction. ALWAYS (at least since somewhere in iOS 15). Now, I can’t even get that far. The entire menu isn’t even available! No meals except for a few (“impossible”, panko fish, etc. that aren’t at the top of anyone’s list. So… if I “crave” WC, I have to sit in an absurd drive thru line… or, like most other people, I skip it and let them suffer the consequences of poor service.

Store not open for pick up at the grab n go. What is the purpose of ordering ahead for pickup when you still have to sit in the drive thru line? This store STILL does not have their doors open for pickup orders. Love the app when you can use it appropriately, but when I still have to wait in line for an hour to pick up the order I placed that said it would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes, it is completely ridiculous.

Login issues. Thought the latest change would solve problem. Can’t login in and can’t set new account because email already in use. Still waiting in tech support to reset password or fix problem. 2nd time for this issue

Trash. That app hardly works and wants to know every bit of information about you to set up an account, which you need to order. Inputting correct email will tell you invalid format, although it’s not. Messages saying you can’t order because your account hasn’t been set up with mobile ordering, despite having used it for mobile ordering, having to put in a time for pickup which is 15 minutes past when you order, and just a buggy app

Food. Honestly so disappointed. This was my first time eating here and ewww never again. My food was completely wrong and I went in and told them and they gave me a new batch. That order was also wrong I don’t get it. My last time going in there the girl on the grill gave me a nasty attitude. It’s not my fault you kept getting it wrong. Such a bad first impression. Fries were stale. I was so excited to try this for the first time and customer service & food was awful. Wish I can get a refund for what I spent on this. Don’t even deserve 1¢.

Errors. Easy enough to use but some little things take the shine off of it. Overlapping text over the logo at the top sometimes, had a couple exceptions during the payment process, the payment went they but it threw the good old “not set to instance of an object” error (but that may not have been you guys but maybe account for the possibility of that happening with a more graceful fail)

Could be better. It would be nice to know how many hamburgers is in each crave case instead of them being named so therefore you have to click on it and then it’ll tell you in there and if it’s not what you want I couldn’t delete them. I had to delete the whole app and then reinstall the app some peoples, not smart enough and technology, inclined for whatever you guys have going on other apps are a lot easier. Steak ‘n Shake is probably the best sorry you guys ain’t up-to-date with the odor people.
