Disappointing. I e been playing bejeweled for over 10 years, the pc version. I love the game. I paid for the game happily. I was so excited to see the iPad version and iPhone version. I downloaded it and began to play right away. The side ade pause the game or slow it down. It freezes. It’s rebooted my machine several times or locked it up so I had to do a hard boot. How am I going to concur the world of match 3 when it runs slow.

Latest update added back ads to paid users. I’ve happily enjoyed this game for years. However, the latest update appears to have added ads back to previously paid users. On the iPhone version of this game, I went ahead and bought the no ads pack and then deleted the game to see if ads were back when reinstalled. Sure enough, ads are back and it looks like you have to re-buy the no ads option again in the Game Store to have them removed. As far as I can tell, there’s no option to restore your previous no ads purchases. If PopCap/EA doesn’t fix this for paid users, I’ll never again buy from them. Edit: Upping my initial rating because I did discover the option to restore the previously purchased no ads option. I still don’t like that I started seeing ads after the latest update when I had previously purchased this.

Love the game, HATE the long ads that drag you into the App Store. I have been playing this game for more years than I like to admit. I love the games, and paid for removal of the ads some version ago. But as the new versions of the game came out for new iOS versions, I lost the ability to pay and get rid of the ads. Now there are 30 sec ads that just throw me into the App Store, which I find beyond annoying. I find that I play the game less now, which may be good...

New Version Woes. After the new release 4 days ago, the game failed to launch on my iPad (seems to still work on my iPhone). I tried all the advice about this issue and none of them worked. So I uninstalled and redownloaded. Of course, all my game history is now gone and I had to go through setting up an account all over again. In addition, my paid version which eliminated all ads is gone and I can’t recover it. Plus, no matter what I do, another game runs full screen with no exit unless I play a few steps. The developer notes say that if you don’t want in-app purchases, set it at the device level, but there is no such thing for my iPad. At least, I can’t find it and there are no instructions from the app itself, nor any menu options to get me there. I am VERY disappointed; I have been playing Bejeweled Classic HD for years, and now it’s all gone, including my paid version.

UPDATE: 5 STARS INSTEAD OF ONE. After all these years, I was asked to view a video in order to get the extra chance in “Butterflies”. I soon discovered that after all these years, my purchase of “no ads” required me to restore my purchase in settings which I’d never had to do. This fantastic game is working as it should. My sincere apologies!

Enduring classic but some irritations. The game has a lot of different variations and is still entertaining even though it’s an oldie. My frustrations are that the game sometimes ‘forgets’ the user profile and settings and displays ads again even though I’ve paid for no ads. Restore purchases and turning off promotions in settings puts things back to the way they should be. Also, the app sometimes opens in a small that isn’t usable and has to be terminated and restarted.

Sound Effects Issues. The game works great, except when it doesn’t. For some reasons the sound effects just go away. This can happen in the middle of a game or just happen for no reason when you log in. The music works fine and it even says Welcome Back when I enter a game. But the sound effects just won’t work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, the app is up to date, I have re-booted my iPad Air 4 and none of this works. Then the sound effects just come back, works for days or weeks and then stops working again. I have googled the issue with the standard answers that ask if my sound is on, etc…

Your Latest Update Needs to be Fixed. Is anyone reading these most recent comments? I expect my team of app developers to review feedback for the first 2 weeks. Your latest fix needs to be de-bugged. It won’t launch, it only plays music, graphics are distorted, has glitches, people are being forced to pay for Ad-free after already paid for it before this last update. Obviously, you have a large following who are very frustrated. I’ve played Bejeweled for years and it is a great stress reliever. Very disappointed that the game is non-operational. Someone needs to work on all of these bugs. To my fellow players, don’t pay for anything else till this is resolved.

Too many ads. This is the same bejeweled game we all love minus the “special bonus gems etc”. Back to the basics without all the “glitz”. I approve. But every time you turn around there is another ad. Fortunately they are between games unless you are getting an “extra” like more time, even if you didn’t choose the option to watch an ad. And in these instances you often have to wade thru back to back ads which are often for the same other game.

Freezing. I’m allowed to watch ads but not play. I’ve been playing since it was a pc game. The game has crashed many times since then and I had to reinstall loosing everything and starting over. A few weeks ago there was some congratulations given to me by the devs but things changed so fast I failed to see what was going on. Last week the game started freezing. I am not happy. This is the game I play during those long waits in doctor’s offices which has become too much a part of my life. What is going on with the game?

Ads after paying premium???. PopCap what is going on? I paid for this app a couple years ago to get rid of the ads and now when I went to play after this latest update, all of a sudden ads are back?? If this bait and switch is how your business model works now then I want my money back. Your company used to be the best out there, even when Candy Crush stole your ideas. Now you’re just another EA money-grabbing soulless company that has lost its way. Do the right thing and get rid of the ads for paid customers, AS YOU AGREED TO.

The king is dead, long live the king. Bejeweled is a great game. I highly recommend it. Their latest update finally put an end to a single-game streak that has been lasted for years. I maxed out the high score, and then played just to increase levels despite a high score that never changed. A few months ago an update finally enabled my scores to climb again. And this update? It forced me to create a new user, and when I returned to my game, my score was set at zero. Oh well. Nothing lasts forever. They saved me from the tragic heartbreak of losing on my own. And for that, they have my thanks.

Great game, terrible company. I really love playing this game. I have had the paid version for years. However, ever since “Popcap” was purchased by another company the commercials for their other games are so so annoying that I wouldn’t suggest this game to a friend. But you paid the fee to avoid the commercials, you might say. Well, for some reason, on several occasions, the game seems to forget my purchase, my scores, and starts back with the commercials. Yes there is a Restore purchases button, but this can only be accessed after minutes of watching the commercials. Today, the restore button would not work until I deleted and reinstalled the game. You bet I believe they do this on purpose to force commercials at even those who pay. I am nor happy about this trickery. Great game, terrible company.

Stop the spider!. Another Update: Why do I bother🙄 You’ve rigged the game..made it incredibly stressful..not relaxing and enjoyable. I’ve given you time to change things and you choose not to so I want to warn others and let you know how unenjoyable you have made one of my favorite games. This bad review is on you. I don’t want to try anymore. UPDATE: I reloaded this game and I’m regretting it already. IF you would make it to where you can turn OFF the timer I could enjoy your games..please make it possible. Also. I would love to give this 5 stars except for the fact that I notice how you have “fixed” the game and you deliberately make it stressful and pretty much unwinable. Too many examples to cite here. I don’t want to delete it but I’m not enjoying the stress, especially when you change the board to make sure that I don’t have a match. I love the butterfly game....but it's not fair or fun to have the spider grab your butterfly if there is still a play going...xplosions all over the place..and your "stratigic" move is wasted when the spider takes a butterfly DURING a play. I am not a sore loser...I have scored many games near the 750,000- 2 million points. It would also be good to have something saved to help blast your way out when you are in real danger. I do love the game tho...and always hate spiders!

Paced bad. Broken “watch ad, get a return to lost game”. I’ve used this game for a very long time. Recently, with each loss a box comes up to watch an ad in order to continue to lost game and rescue it. The screen comes up Black with a white X in the upper right. When time passes you can tap screen and get the “GET” page at the App Store. Whatever you do, you go back to your ‘lost’ game, proceeding to the next game choice. Please either fix it or dump it. Also, the spider eats the butterflies before the turn has ended the lowering of the upper level. Please fix that devilish spider. It is not fair. Thank you

TERRIFIC WAY TO SPEND TIME. I love this game and believe it teaches good skills and keeps your brain active. It does not require deep strategic thinking but strategy is involved if you want to drive up your score on some of the games. Quick thinking is involved in some of the games and it is all great fun. Easy to do while talking or watching television. Highly recommend.

Dear PopCap. You are my childhood. The first game that I would play on my dads computer was the first bejeweled. An innovative game with good soundtrack. One payment, no ads. Now? The influence of EA is unbearable. It has become a complete cash grab. There are bugs everywhere. PopCap, you used to be the KING of puzzle games. You delivered only the best. My question is what happened? Your games are amazing but ever since your contract with EA, you just lost your dignity and my respect. However there is a chance of redemption for this app. I prefer this game more than Stars because it's not riddled with techniques from clones of your original masterpiece. I want you to restore it. This game has the potential to be a reminder of who is the REAL boss when it comes to puzzles. Bring back quest mode, don't make poker worth three bucks, rather the entire game, with a preferably revamped quest mode, the medal system, and most importantly, TRY TO ADD THE PUZZLE MODE FROM BEJEWELED TWO! The point is, you may have lost my respects, but you still have my hope. Please capitalize on your past. Restore this game to its former glory. I will pay a reasonable price for an outstanding game. A good five dollars I believe would be good.

Can’t play off-line. With the newest “improvement”You can no longer play off-line. The game crashes after two or three matches I have had this game for a long time and now it is requiring paying to avoid long ads. I don’t even know if I pay whether I would then be able to play off-line. This was not an improvement.

Game broken. I have played this game for several years and I used to love but, it hard to love something you can’t play. I uninstalled this game six months ago because it kept freezing up. I reinstalled it it still froze up ....I waited for a couple of months did some maintenance on my iPad ...got rid of quite a few apps ...reinstalled it and it froze up ...uninstalled it and just a little bit ago reinstall it again what is the very first thing it does the moment that I try to play the game ...freeze up!! Let me know if you ever get it fixed so I can play again please.

Bejeweled game. I have been playing bejeweled on my iPad for 6 years now. I started having some issues with zen cutting out and returning to a lower score. I had it up over 174,000,000 points. And last year the sound quit. By playing zen a few rounds at a time, I have been increasing my score again. I’m above level 6000. I downloaded it on my new iPad, but it wouldn’t let me access the game on the other iPad. I had to start a new game with a new user name. A few days ago I deleted and reinstalled it on the new iPad and played. But last night the game on on my old iPad quit opening at all. And suddenly the new version on my new iPad won’t open either!!! So now what????

PopCrap: App Is Broken Due to Bad Ad Integration. Just quickly, not a hater or a troll. In fact more sad than upset at this point. I understand fully ads at least for now are a necessary evil but the way ads have been integrated into this game is just a bit appalling. Believe others when they use words like “Money Grab” and “Used To Be The Best” about this title/app because those sentiments are very, very true. If the sheer frequency and awful timing doesn’t enrage, then the fact that the ads almost always crash the app will. I’m using a 2017 iPad Pro and this app is the only thing I’ve ever seen my iPad struggle to compute. Once you are disrupted in the middle of a game AND IF the ad does manage to successfully load, there is no way to X out once finished. You must tap and are subsequently carried out to a store front to make purchases for 3rd party crap you honestly don’t need. I considered the in-app purchases to remove ads but the reviews and the poor implementation and lack of thoughtful coding in this app does not inspire taping anymore “Get” buttons from these people. Avoid 30 sec. ad offers!. Initially this game was great, fun, a time killer. But lately the ads, which are kind of Covid19 recent, try to force you to add new app games. They offer extra 30 seconds to view an ad. It is nowhere worth it. I refused to “Get” the ad game and when I selected “x” to leave the ad, it would not let me. To really enjoy this and other game apps, play with airplane mode on to avoid interrupting ads that try to hijack you into get another in-purchase game.

Don’t bother with knockoffs, go for name brand. This is the match-3 experience you should be playing. The game’s greatest strength is that it doesn’t push IAPs. Instead, when you finally get a Game Over, it asks if you want to watch an ad to keep going or start another game. No frills like, “Here are 5 lives, give us your micro money.” (Certainly not like Bejeweled Blitz...😂) 10/10 would recommend (Bonus: there’s a zen mode!)

Used to love it, but it is ruined. I have paid version. I used to like it a lot. Not anymore. Paid for it to get rid of those adds. But each time I need to update ipad or this game itself, it looses the whole progress and gives me status “novice” even thought I have reached millions in my progress. Also it became very stressful. For zen all those music choices does not matter anymore because they won’t play. Also after each restart I have to “restore purchases” several times to get rid of those adds. It was nice game till all this started to happen. Also it does not communicate between devices. I have a spare progress on iPhone and iPad and there is no way to link it. Even though I am using the same account.

Great time killer!. Used to love this game when it first came out in early ‘90’s. Then about ten years ago m discovered they had an app! Woo hoo! Been playing on n off since. I never had a need to pay for this. So, I can’t attest to other reviewers on the ad issues. But I don’t remember the game having ads until the last few years maybe. Now, they’re consistent! You go in the game, an ad. You pick your board, an ad. Go back to main menu, an ad. They have a remove ads for $2.99. But from reading reviews, I’m guessing that’s broken, so no way am I wasting my hard earned money on paying so I can watch ads! Then you have to click on said ads at least three times before they close out. Then sometimes another ad pops up right after you closed out the first one! So, sadly, this game is no longer addicting because of all the ad pop ups! Now, I only play it when I’m bored.

Ads are horrible. If you paid for ads to be removed you may have to restore the purchase every so often. Wish this was on the main page since the ads are horrendously long and there’s no way to restore before they pop-up and play for a long time. Otherwise the game is fun, they did a great job with the graphics refresh for a hi-res promotion screen like the iPad Pro. Wish a version was available for iPhone.

YAY it is back! 👍👏👏. Just discovered the update was made to Bejeweled Classic HD and am thrilled to find it working again. I play several of the games (esp. Lightning) all the time! So happy!!!!! Thank you for fixing the ‘’bugs” that interfered with the games on older iPads/iPhones. It is my set of favorite game and now I can play again! The developers responded right away, and followed through on updating it within days as promised. Very impressive! Thank you again so much!! You truly earned your 5* rating!

This version is awesome!. ***Hi, I am REALLY worried... I have played this game since forever. Now that level 100 is just around the corner (after years of playing) the game won’t open; I have restarted my iPad several times and it doesn’t work, do not tell me that I have to start from the beginning ‘cause I am going to get VERY sad!*** The previous one wasn't as cool as this one, it was sooo hard to win that got me tired sometimes. This new version is much playable and fun, I mean, it is just a game! Why it needed to be so difficult? Please keep it simple and cool. It is intended to relax you more than stress you, who wants more stress in life!

Bejeweled HD on iPad. I have the same issue as a lot of people. After the last update the game will not open . It freezes on the Pop Cap circle. Deleted the app and reloaded from the cloud. Game opened once and all previous scores are deleted. Please fix this update and restore my paid ads free version. I corrected my rating. Its a great game overall except the last update stopped it working. However by accident I found the game works if WiFi is switched off. Please fix this glitch.

Love this game since the first PC game, just still have minor issues on updates.. Just got a new iPad Air and had my data transferred. Now that when I play any game on bejeweled, I get the music, but no sound effects (no announcements, no jewel or explosion sounds). Still play all versions from poker to classic, I never get bored with it. Just it’s not as fun if all I here is background music playing. At least for me anyway. If there is an update in progress that rectify the said problem, I’ll keep an eye out for it. Thank you.

Bejeweled classic hd. Every time the developer (?) puts up a fullscreen trial ad for such things as Candy Crush for trial play it messes up Bejeweled Classic HD. It shifts the game into the lower left hand corner of the screen so you do not get the fullscreen version anymore, making the game impossible to play. I keep having to delete the game and reloading it if I want to play it. The game also starts hesitating after you have played the game for some time. If the game is still available for play, there are problems that need to be fixed. It would be nice if these problems were fixed so players can continue to enjoy the game

.... Playing classic Bejeweled in 2019 is like time traveling to an era when casual gaming was simple. Match 3 gem swapping didn’t need more than a board with shimmering images that made a satisfying “ching” sound when aligned with like images. Bejeweled existed before mobile devices as a PC game, but the touch screen of those early iPhones and iPod Touches made Bejeweled an instant classic casual time waster. Given modern match 3’s emphasis on quests, power ups, and collectibles, returning to basic gem swapping feels... quaint. And it’s hard as a long time App Store consumer to not feel a bit ripped off, having purchased one or two premium Bejeweled apps once upon a time, only for them to have been removed from the store and replaced with a free, ad-filled version. Sure, the free version lacks most of the frustrating money-squeezing tricks of its free-to-play brethren, but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that my previous Bejeweled purchases no longer count for anything. But for newcomers looking for a low key game, this is worth the download. Seven game modes offers a bit of variety—though not as much as you’d expect, splitting between modes without timers and those with timers—though one of those, dubbed “poker,” allows a few plays before requiring a purchase to fully unlock. Poker mode might be the most interesting, though poor instructions make it unintuitive and the free plays don’t give enough of a feel to spark the purchase.

Once was a favorite game. Last update does not load!. I have paid for this game twice over the years, and have enjoyed it on multiple phones and ipads. Latest update July 2021 has loaded correctly only once in all of the many (at least 15) times I have tried to open it. I either get stuck and it will not load at all, or I get sent to a page for a different game that I do not want, and I cannot figure out how to get past that. I have tried deleting and re-downloading, and also restarted the ipad twice. Popcap get it together!

HATE THIS APP. It has diagonal light movement across the screen (this happens even in Zen Mode. Since I have ADHD it is extremely distracting and affects my ability to concentrate. When the diagonal light movement happens, I just quit the app. I know this "feature" is in Poker mode as well. Also, another major distraction is in timed modes (eg diamond mind) when the time is about over, something very distracting occurs (perhaps flashing of gems?) at this point I quit. I also don’t like when hints are given. When I don’t make a move, because am figuring out what the best move is (I get a hint, and it’s usu. not the best move). I ONLY want a hint if/when I request a hint. Perhaps the dev's never consider that some people like to see different possibilities (including possible future movements) before a move is made. This is very different than the dev assumption that no available move(s) are noticed. Hints with white arrows are another distraction I wish I could eliminate, as well as light moving diagonally (from upper left to lower right) across the board). Zen. I have been playing this game for years and as I remember, zen never had a game over. It used to go on and on without any level completed. The update certainly changed that. I liked the old version better, if I wanted to finish levels and lose a game, I could always play classic. Now they are both the same.

It doesn’t shuffle Poker! Why Adds?. I have had this app a long time! “Shuffle and Continue” on the Poker game just continues. Boooooo! Also, I PAID for this, went to download it on my iPhone and I’m getting ADS and cannot see any place to “restore purchase” I tried to contact EA games directly but I got tired of clicking and clicking and selecting only to be told I have to create an account. Boooo and hisssssss! Y’all can do MUCH better than this! You’re not a sketchy new company. Games are fun! Especially when they work!

Game is addictive, or was. ***Updated review: Game has stopped responding smoothly. It is jerky and slow on my updated IOS. Can't even play it anymore. I checked here looking for an update, but no luck.**** I am a long-time fan of Bejeweled 2, and frankly I like that game MUCH better. The gems and backgrounds are prettier, the music is better, the sounds are soothing rather than annoying, and since I paid for it there were no ads. But they apparently are not going to update it for the next IOS version (I guess we don't buy apps anymore, just rent them for an unspecified amount of time), so I downloaded this. Complaints aside, at least I can still play, but it's not nearly as relaxing an experience, so I'm not sure how much I will. If I could at least turn off the sounds it makes when gems disappear without turning off all the sounds, I would be much happier. Already turned off the annoying music. Give us back the control we had, and more of the old experience, please.

Lengthy Ads galore and sound errors. I had this app on my first generation iPad mini and when I loaded it onto my latest iPad mini I find the ads that last on average 30 seconds each, to be very annoying and cause me to really not want to play the game. There also seems to be a glitch in the sound because especially in the butterflies game the background music will play but the sound effects will not. This happens quite frequently and is quite annoying. There is no rhyme or reason or pattern to it. This happens even though the settings indicate the background music and sound effects to be at full volume. One last point with regard to the ads, I do understand that ads play a crucial role in the revenue stream of app developers however the type of ads that are in this game do not need to be so intrusive and lengthy.

Used to be great, now it’s not even playable. I’ve loved this game for a couple years now and had no problems with the iPhone non-HD version that was on my iPad, then suddenly last night it started crashing and basically forced me into downloading this app. This one worked just fine last night and now today it’s doing the same thing as the other app where it’ll load then when I start to play it freezes and then crashes. Please fix this because this is the only jewel type game I enjoyed due to the zen mode, which has been hard to find elsewhere.

Good except sound shuts off in 5 seconds every time.. I love this game but lately, no matter how often I correct the problem in the settings, the sound shuts off within 5 seconds of starting a new game. Getting very tired of trying to fix it. I’ll probably have to delete it and play something else. Too bad, I really enjoyed playing this but it’s no fun without sound. I’ve reinstalled it several times.

Back to novice?. I have been playing zen mode for weeks. Picked up my iPad today to continue and there was a message to say I had been given something or other for being a “loyal player”. Then the game behaved like I have never played before. I was asked to choose a player name, shown a screen on how to play. Select zen mode, score is zero instead of millions, and I am back to novice! I am so annoyed I am on the edge of deleting the game. I see another one star from last month with the same issue. What is the point of a game that wipes your score and throws you back to novice at random?

Doesn’t remember me. Every update on this app means it forgets that I have over 9 million points and I’m on level 327 so I probably don’t need a tutorial on sparkle gems or whatever. It used to forget me completely and reset me to 0 in all aspects, so at least the points and longer time to complete levels are now retained. I use this app to relax after work, I just want to match gems in zen mode, I don’t want to lose every badge I have and rewatch tutorials for every feature over again every few weeks. Yeah, I’m still playing it, that’s the most frustrating part, I really enjoy the game when it doesn’t get in my way. If I could download it and play without updates that would be so much better. Whatever was updated today reset the clock again and I’m just so irritated.

Update to Yesterday’s Review. Yesterday, I submitted a review protesting the updates made for Bejeweled. I was unhappy not only because I lost all the scores and progress I had made in the past, but the game itself wasn’t working correctly with no sound effects and loss of items purchased in the past in spite of trying to restore them. I am still not happy about my lost progress, but the game itself is now working correctly and the boosts and removal of commercials purchased in the past were restored. Thank you!!

Keeping the mind sharp. This game is good for people who want to keep brain and eye co ordination sharp. As people get older, reactive time slows down but by using games that use multiple senses helps the brain neurons active. Strategy and how fast you react or see how the puzzle ( pieces) fit help people stay sharp as they get older. I have played it one of my nurses showed me it. Over time learning strategies I have scored over 1,500,000 At least 6 times this last year. I wonder if there is an end to the levels Dr D

Bugs galore. I play this app on an iPad. What is up with this app randomly deleting the entire player and my score? Why must I constantly have to name myself and start at a score of zero???? Also, it used to be, up until a week ago, that I could make a match before the time ran out in Diamond Mine, and with the cascade clear the line, thereby being rewarded with 28 seconds of additional time. Now, it gives me the extra time while simultaneously ending the game! The time is given in the background along with the Game Over message. I deleted this app. Too frustrating. I installed the mobile app on my iPad to see if the bug was fixed there. It’s not. Also as a side note, the screen won’t rotate to landscape on the mobile app if played on my iPad. This app that I’m reviewing will rotate into landscape, but the bugs are giving me lice ——fix it, plz...

I'd really love this game if it would quit freezing. The graphics are great and I love the visual effects BUT the game freezes up & I lose my high score. It has happened on both my iPod Touch (latest version) & my iPad Air 2 both updated to iOS 11.3 If this gets fixed I’ll upgrade my star rating but for now I’m being generous giving it a 3 star rating.

downgrading my 5star to a 1star. I can’t believe after all these years playing this game you have put CONSUMER ADS IN YOUR GAME AND YOU ARE NOW CHARGING TO REMOVE THE ADS! What the heck are you doing! I’ve already paid for the game that was preciously ad free! You guys are cheap dudes and don’t deserve even a one star rating! Gamesters, revolt against such devious greediness ! Of all the game apps available for the iPad, this by far is the best gaming experience available. Top notch graphics in all section but especially in Diamond Mine. The graphics, game challenge and design are the best. This is truly the best game app available today and well worth the money. I can't say enough good things about this game. Buy it, you will not be disappointed. No other game app matches this experience of gaming.

Very good update love this game!. I would have given this App 5 stars but when I downloaded the new version adds popped up very annoying. So I paid the $2.99 to get rid of the adds I don't think it is fair since I already had the old version.I love this game and I recommend it to everyone but it is very addictive. I am very glad that you are not affiliated with Facebook because I don't like the fact that games you play on there don't work for me when I get to a certain point in the game. I don't like that I need friends to help me that didn't work either after a certain point I stopped playing. I like games like yours because you can keep going and you know that you you will have loads of fun! I still like the game!

VIOLATION: ads despite paid removal. Paid for ad removal in this app years ago, which worked fine until most recent app update around June 2019. Now I’m getting full screen ads that can’t be closed for at least five seconds, every day, either at app launch or on starting a game. Game itself is still excellent, but getting ads when I’ve paid not to is jarring, and a violation of our legal agreement. Tried deleting app, reinstalling, and restoring purchases, but that had no effect. Happens in both iPhone and iPad (HD) versions of Bejeweled Classic app. Hoping developer makes this right.

Game keeps freezing. Classic is my go-to game, but too frequently lately the game has been hanging/freezing either on opening or during game play. iPad 6 is running the current version of iOS and all updates are done. Please fix it! Update - I’ve installed the update. There's an improvement, so the game doesn’t hang completely, but it pauses for a moment much too often.

No “get out crosses” on your awful ads.. If I don’t want to watch an awful ad (and many are awful) I can escape, unless I log out. Not good enough.

Sound keeps dropping out. I play for a few seconds and the sound stops working, happens consistently, you force close the app and reopen and it happens again, come on guys, fix this up please…

Update Crash and Rip Off unlock features. I have had this game downloaded for my Grandma for some time now and she started to get into the poker feature, I purchased an unlock feature on this today for $4.49 so she was able to play the poker feature without waiting for the time clock, then realised the game needed an update after the purchase was made and now it's just continuously crashing before it even loads the game! Have uninstalled and tried reinstalling with no success. Not a happy customer when I've just paid for an unlock feature and now can't even play the game... Please assist!!!!!

Playable ad display platform. There are so many match-3 games available now. Why would I bother playing the one that devotes quarter of the screen to a permanent ad window?

It’s dying, stop kicking it.. Been playing this game for years, just started on this iPad about a year ago. I play on my other one more and I’m about level 120ish. This just updated today, this iPads progress is all gone. My leaderboards are still there but all my stats and badges and everything is wiped. Stop messing with this game already, when everyone got hundreds of thousands of upgrades it took weeks for you to notice because it’s basically a dead game. Crashing. Been playing this for a few years, but lately it crashes, usually just as one is getting a better than average score, which is a pain. Game just disappears and sometimes an ad popping up freezes it too.

Fan since ‘08. I have loved your games for years and years now; I have loved Zuma, Bejeweled, and Plants vs. Zombies. There are two things I want you to do. 1. Please bring back Zuma. It was my childhood game that I played every single day. I played it on the computer and on here as well, but then iOS 11 came around. 2. Add OP Zen mode. Zen mode is ok, but in the completely overpowered version of it, it could be that you get thousands of points for anything you do. There could be explosions for every move, more power gems, less colours, or maybe even match-4. I would absolutely love this gamemode and I think everyone else would too. It would mean so much to me if you could do this, PopCap. From an absolutely, astonishingly huge fan, Cam.

Latest update broke the game. Game freezes on popcap loading screen. Disappointing, hopefully gets fixed soon as I’ve been playing for years and have the paid version.

NOT HAPPY. I have been playing Bejewelled Classic HD for years. Last night when I went into play, the app disappeared from my screen when I started to play. I have tried re installing it many times and it does the same thing. What is going on here?

Now I can barely manage half an hour as there are ads after every game and sometimes more than one!!! Keeps crash'n. I started playing this game without any problems & now in kicks me out of the game, back to home screen. I reload game, start playing, same thing, kicks me out.. I have now deleted the app, waste of time as you lost current game play when it kicks you out.. I always played this game up to a couple of years ago..the game was better then.. Disgraceful and disturbing…. Loved the original version, but now, this game, even after purchasing ‘unlocked’ version, continuously bombards you with ads. Perhaps the single most disturbing thing about the ads is they promote gambling via online poker machines…great to train kids to become addicted to poker machines/gambling..

I just want the original. With the original version you stuck to the one screen and you kept playing until you run out of matches, this allowed you to set up future moves and I don’t remember the game having any ads but with all the current versions I’ve tried, just when you have setup moves, it either decides to remove a large portion of the jewels, stuffing up your selection or the game finishes saying level complete. I would much rather pay a reasonable amount to outright purchase the game so I don’t have interfering ads and super short “levels” spoiling any planning of moves. So disappointing.

That amount of ads is insane!. With an ad before I had even started playing, I sensed this was going to be a poor experience. You can expect constant ads, especially when reaching game overs often while new. I also experienced bugs that appear related to the ads.

Game Play. I have had this app for over two years and had reached a level over 200. Early last year for some unknown reason my game play on “ZEN” was restored level zero. I worked my way back up to over level one hundred. In the last two weeks whenever I go into the game it greets me like a new player ands sets me back to level zero. Please fix this problem.

Aggressive Ads. Used to enjoy playing the game, but now the game loads ads upon launch and several times during play. What?. I’ve been playing this on and off since it was a desktop game, so nearly 20 years. Opening it for the first time in a few weeks, it asks for date of birth to play. Big nope from me. There is NOTHING in that game that is age sensitive, so there is no reason whatsoever. Revert that change or I’ll delete the game.

Crap.. After many years away from playing this game, I decided to give another chance. Big mistake. I no sooner download the game and I’m staring at a commercial before I even get to start my first game. Picked my first game, commercial. Start first game and an ad shows up and goes across my entire game board so I can’t even play this round right. Ad disappears, game time runs out and back we go to another ad. Total crap. For every 6 seconds an ad pops up. It’s a joke. I had to give one star but only to make this review.

They cheat on the no-ads purchase.. I paid the purchase price to get the ad-free experience. It regularly - every one or two or three weeks - resets so that when I open the game I’m presented with one of their ads, which won’t go away until it’s finished. I have to wait until it’s over, go to settings, and hit “restore purchases” to go back to the no-ad state I paid for. I consider that to be a fraud.

Good game but….. I enjoy Bejewelled, but would enjoy it more if there were more detailed instructions. For instance in the Poker version, how does a player obtain the needed hands? Is it all chance or is there some skill or strategy involved? Same question for the other versions…

Updates wipe out points. PopCap automatically installs new versions, deleting Zen points, levels and badges so you start at the bottom. I should control updates in my games.

Too many adds. I am fine with a quick add here or there, but this version just keeps them on the screen and forces you to watch long ones between every game. Simply not worth the time.

Advertisement. Disgusting. Stated before there’d be no advertisements but word was broken. Even opening the app brings up an advertisement. And between games there’s advertisements(sometimes up to three). Deleted the game. Too frustrating to play. Even when asked if you want to see the advertisement and you state no, it still comes up. I used to enjoy the game and I was up millions of points. One the game included advertising, I lost all the points I had accumulated. 😡

Game doesn't load. Since the iOS update to 14.7 the game won't open. I really like the game but is frustrating when it won't work. I even tried deleting and downloading again and it still doesn't work. Update: If I turn WIFI off the game will open and I can play.

Won’t load progress.. This game was my second favourite puzzle game behind Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. It recently started deleting all my progress at random intervals. Great. I really like Diamond Mine. Update decembe 2022: I bought this game from the app store a long time ago and have been enjoying it overall. However, one major issue I have encountered is that I constantly have to restore my purchases. It seems like almost every time I close the app and reopen it, I have to go through the process of restoring my purchases, which is frustrating and time consuming as a ton of ads are then displayed. I hope that the developers can fix this issue in a future update, as it really detracts from the overall enjoyment of the game.

What the heck!!. I've been playing this game, in Zen mode, for over five years. Today, I find that I've lost my million-plus points in Zen mode AND every time I open the app, it asks me to create a profile. The only good thing is that is still recognizes my purchase that removes the ads. This is extremely annoying. Classic game, bad implementation. As other reviewers have noted, the game no longer respects the “no ads” purchase. Once a day or so, the game will force you to watch a minimum of one long ad before allowing you to Restore Purchases. If you do anything other than immediately switch to the Settings and Restore Purchase, it will force you to watch multiple ads in a row. This might be a bug or a product manager’s decision to further monetize longtime users, but either way it’s a violation of agreements and obnoxious. Bejeweled is a classic game but this version is nearly unusable.

Has-Been. This game is great, its colorful, its got nice music, and is really great for puzzle-hungry people like me. This game is great, at least it was. fun classic, but the buggiest app. Who doesn't love Bejeweled? So much fun, and the modern graphics are a nice touch! But this is THE buggiest app I have. It crashes frequently. It sometimes gets stuck on the loading screen. It doesn't always play audio. For a couple of weeks, it randomly gave me 16 million shuffles before also randomly taking them away. So very buggy.

RIGGED. This game is addicting, but we play it. As rigged as it is, once you start, you can not stop. Many players have been under the impression that the programmers determine who is the weekly’s winner, they stop you in your tracks even with a chronograph in your hands, times changed suddenly and you can not beat the f…awl or the time, although unfair. We continue to play.

Ad Removal. I paid to get the ads removed. The ads are back and I've had a problem with the game freezing. I will give you 3 stars because I like the game. Also, you were not easily to access because I was just going to write you in private. I read some of the other reviews and I can see that other gamers are having the same problem.

A Classic. This game is a classic. I’ve spent many hours playing this game on all sorts of devices. My only real gripe is the animations in between levels is to intense on my eyes. I have to look away when I complete a level. If they could tone that component down a bit I’d continue playing. After studying the gem boards to complete the levels it’s a bit to intense. Not as great. This game used to be one of my favorite time killers and with new variations it got more challenging. I haven’t played in some time and recently started up again and have been thoroughly irritated with the ads. Not the ads themselves but how they impede fluid gameplay. It even frequently freezes my tablet unless it tap the ad or just stop then restart it. Very frustrating. Not sure I’ll keep playing if it keeps up. I understand the reasoning for ads but not in such an intrusive an overbearing manner.

Thinking about purchasing this?. The people who say this app is a grab for money are wrong. The in app purchases are completely optional and are not needed to move on in the game. Though the game can lag occasionally, it's really fun and a perfect time killer. The classic mode is beautiful as is the zen mode. All the other modes are simply fast paced fun.

Used to love this game but not so much now. The actual game is fine,its the ads every time you dio anything. Move on to a new game and so on. Forced ads after everything. Haven’t played in years. Just opened it to play again and after every screen selection, before even starting to play, it forces a long ad with no way to exit, even after a period of watching the ad. Twice after the ad was finished, it didn’t go back to the main menu, it forced the and game onto the screen. What was once a great relaxing game looks to have been ruined by a no-man’s-land of ads. Latest Update App No Longer Works. With the latest update 3.1.3 the game no longer works on iPadOS version 14.6. iPad6th gen. I love playing this game, but unfortunately now I can’t please fix.. I have removed the game restarted the iPad, downloaded the game from the store again to no avail app/game just crashes on loading screen.

Loved it until. I loved this game and I’ve had it for years. I put this on my first iPad and had to put it on my new one. Now years later, like any other game on the App Store it starts timing me and limiting my time even though I purchased the full version. Great job another way for these app developers to get more money. So now this has gone from one of my favorites to a two star at the best. I’m tired of games I pay for to keep right on charging me at every chance they get.

Welcome back? From yesterday?. My big welcome back (from yesterday?) came with ads before I could even start playing. I don’t know what happened overnight, but after playing Bejeweled Classic for a few years, and enjoying every moment, I’m deleting and moving on. Absolutely Love This Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This is truly one of the best games I have ever played. A must have game to put with the classics on all your devices. Update: It’s very annoying when playing the game, you loose, the watch ad comes up, you say no thanks, and when you hit play again, the ad comes up anyway. I’m taking off 3 stars. 1 star for the ad annoyance and 2 stars, because about a year, year and a half ago, I bought the option to not see the ads. The game is not near as fun now.

No Title. Game is reminiscent of the original Bejeweled. Gameplay is fast enough for me. Its nice to play this again. The problems I’m having with this game are 1) the levels don’t last nearly long enough. And, 2) there is NO undo button, which I miss EVERY TIME I see a better move right after making a move. So, aside from those 2 things, I like this game.

Pisspoor now. Use to love playing this game, but now it freezes up so much it’s ridiculous. It’s not my iPad either as it’s up to date. I keep checking to see if there is an update for the game but there isn’t any. Guess I’ll be deleting this game now. Maybe in a week or two I’ll redownload it to see if it’s been fixed. Hate to do it, but tired of having to shut it down then open it back up just to have it freeze again.

Sad and Disappointed,. I once had old version of app. Worked great and gave 5 stars. I could play it for hours. Newer version….HD is disappointing. First of all you have to watch 2-3 advertisements in order to start new game. And second…the game either freezes a lot or the jewels move but won’t pop. I tried resetting and even watched quite a few adds. No luck. I had to completely delete app and reinstall. I’m sad, because at one time this truly was my favorite game.

My Favorite Game. This is my favorite game. I have played for years and even enjoyed with my grandchildren. It’s entertaining, easy to play, and is a relaxing activity. The only issue I’ve has as of late is the app not loading since the last update. I hope we get a fix soon, I miss playing my favorite game!

Latest version is buggy. Have played this great game for years but the latest version has problems. Have had trouble getting it to load and start. Sometimes there is no sound, sometimes only partial sound.

My favorite game EVER. Don’t get it.. I’ve been playing this game since it first came out in the ‘90s, and the iPad app since IT came out. I bought the app when it first came out as a paid app. Now I’ve deleted it because it’s become so riddled with ads that I can no longer enjoy playing it. Ads now hijack you from the game periodically, flash constantly from the left of your screen, and otherwise kill all enjoyment of the game. Enjoy your ad cash cow, you’ve really offended a loyal customer.

Elusive. Update... tried again after deleting months ago. It hasn't changed. They continue to rope us in... little sheeple that we are. Deleting for good now. BuhBye Butterfly,which I greatly enjoy. To save the butterflies and continue with the game, they give you the option to watch a video which then will save the elusive butterfly that is about to be taken by the spider. So, watch the video/add and when it's done... The spider gets the butterfly anyway. That seems a bit deceitful, don't you think. Would love to rate higher, but can't... Like it matters. SMDH.

Dear Pop Please Fix. I play this game for my neurological condition for brain stimulation and I love the game! All of a sudden today when I opened the app to continue to play my zen game before I could play it would freeze and the app would automatically close. I deleted the app and downloaded the app again and it still continued to freeze within seconds of opening the game and the app would just close before I could play! I hope you will fix this as soon as possible for I love to play the game and my doctors want me to play!

Ready to start a boycott of companies that .... I have purchased games from ... only to have them riddled with in-app purchases down the road! I have spent more money on this Popcap game already than necessary... Soon, it will be added to the trash heap, with the rest of my Electronic Arts, G5, and every other company that has this bait and switch con game! The greed of Devs is out of hand! If Apple or Google play don't step up to put some kind of cap on this, their devices along with the games will also be relegated to the trash. I didn't buy an ATM for developers!

Good Game needs a couple fixes. I love this game. I’ve played since I was a kid and this captures the Bejeweled experience well. The only thing I hate about it (The free version) is that it only goes up to 3 levels and say game over. I also think the poker game add is great. More action in the game play and a lot like poker itself. The poker game should have 3 plays add free then watch an add again not watch an add every time you want to play it.

Hooked. I have been playing Bejeweled Blitz for several years now and I still enjoy the game. The only problem I am having with the game is that it stalls in the middle of the game or it will shut down completely.

Keeps reset game state for ‘bonuses’. I am so irritated. I had over 25 million points and for at least the THIRD time I open it and it offers me (with no way to prevent it!) bonuses. But to do that it resets EVERYTHING even the name. There are a few ways to anger players and this is one of them. As a developer of an old type of computer game I would be absolutelyEMBARRASSED if I did this even once let alone several times! What is the point of playing if you keep having to start over ? There arguably is no point. This is not a feature. It’s a ridiculous bug masked as a feature. I even see I am not the only one experiencing this problem. There’s no excuse. There is no reason for this. But if you’re going to do this at least do not lie about it being beneficial. It’s shameful.

Bejeweled. I play butterflies all the time and love the game. It is very challenging. I have played this classic game for many years and enjoy. Now it will no longer open. I deleted it and reloaded it and it still does not open. I have always played on my I-pad. Why won’t it open any longer?

Just started crashing. Worked up until yesterday. Now it freezes and then crashes every time I try to play, after I choose which version to play (classic, zen, etc). The same thing is happening on my non-HD version I have on my iPhone. Please fix!

Too many ads. The game is okay with one huge exception. It will constantly bother you with ads after each team regardless whether you turn the ad setting off. In addition it will constantly encourage you to spend real money just to continue playing the game with more benefits. I strongly recommend that everyone try to avoid this game and give it a poor rating so that these companies who create these things will get the idea or we don't want ads on the games we purchase.

Impossible to move up a level. Since your last update, no matter how many games you play or well you score, you cannot progress to the next level. Very disappointing. And since your recent tweaks last week, Ice Storm has no sound. Sound is important to know which columns are in trouble. And, no, I don’t have sound muted. Also, the game doesn’t start up properly. You have to open the app, then close it down again , then restart it once more to get the main menu. Why do want to ruin a fun game?

Waste of time App will not open. You updated the user agreement now fix the crashes. Can no longer open the app but maybe 1 out of 5 tries! I have to uninstall and reinstall because after last update the app crashes. Third request: I purchased ad free some time ago. Since the app will not open since last update it really is a waste of time. Do developers not read user reviews? Or do they even care how their product works!

Used to love it. I paid for the game and have been playing for years. Suddenly they changed something so that the sound stops as soon as you start a game. Have to open another game with sound to get this one’s effects going. Even more annoying is the last update made the game no load. Trying to find out how get in touch with the developer is useless. I finally found someone’s post that said to turn off wi-if until the game loads. Wish they’d do a better job of beta testing their updates.

LOVE this game. When I play it relaxes me and helps me to focused when I return to work. After the update the program will not open on my iPad. I paid the $2.99 sometime ago to remove the ads I hope that is not whats affecting my update.

Bejeweled Classic HD. I love the game, have been playing it for years, but lately it doesn’t load properly. It comes on screen in the lower left corner and only uses approximately 1/4 of the screen. Very frustrating & I can’t get it to correct.

Love the game, HATE the long ads that drag you into the App Store. I have been playing this game for more years than I like to admit. I love the games, and paid for removal of the ads some version ago. But as the new versions of the game came out for new iOS versions, I lost the ability to pay and get rid of the ads. Now there are 30 sec ads that just throw me into the App Store, which I find beyond annoying. I find that I play the game less now, which may be good...

Ads. When I went to play BejeweledHD this morning, I was told to click on restore previous purchases, where I had paid to have no ads many years ago. It will not restore, and I’m getting ads again. What can I do to get rid of them?

Ads. I’m in love with this game, it relaxes me when I’m stressed and I’ve played this game since my early childhood. But whenever I get another level higher I see the beautiful background scenery and then it just disappears because an add is blocking it. For people who like to see the background you should make it so you can buy no adds because they are really annoying.

Unbelievable. This game was my go to game when I wanted to kill some time however it has become so frustrating to play, I’ll play something else from now on. I get that advertising is needed for support, however, the game is now freezing when a advert appears in the corner of the game and freezes during the play of the game.

Changes to the screen during gameplay. With the most recent update, during gameplay, the screen goes completely black or completely white. I have to restart the game to resume play and it never did that before the latest version

High score only. This game is great. You choose to play or not. I must be the only fool playing this game no one can get close to me. I bet they would love it if I just leave. Why leave I hold all the top scores. Finally a game I can win at. It’s not adding all the scores now. Anyone can play it! Well Can you Suckers?

Frustrating. Game freezes up all the time. You have to sign out then back in to keep playing. Than it changes the screen and you loss some the one you had. Now it’s on pause again, and you have to uninstall then reinstall and loose all you stats. Game it self is the best one out there but has lots of issues

I used to love this app more. To me, this is a relaxing, even meditative game I’ve enjoyed for about as long as it’s been available. And I haven’t minded the ads because they were always short and the app’s makers earned a little money. But now I get half-minute ads, usually the same ones over and over, disrupting the flow this game offers. I’ll be sorry to delete this app if this problem continues but I’m sure I’ll survive.

Paid… but adds block the game anyway… sad impression.. Though I had a paid previous version, I paid again -as requested- to avoid adds. This was Ok at the begging but, suddenly, adds appeared again and games were terminated unexpectedly, offering to play again in exchange of my consent on watching more adds. I wouldn’t mind to pay a bit more for a good game… but I can’t agree with this regrettable adds “strategy”, which gives a very poor impression of you company.

Good game except.... This is a fun game and I do enjoy playing it occasionally. The only problem I have with it is the scoring method. It is a deep secret. There are times when I think it must be about over but it just keeps playing; then there are the times when I think it is going well and I should end with a great score and then it says game over. There just is no rhyme or reason to their scoring method.

Good game wish it had Game Center Sync. Over all I have enjoyed playing Bejeweled, but unfortunately today when I updated Bejeweled I was given a bunch of free power-ups and my save data was re-set. If the game was properly synced to Apples Game Center even deleting the game should have saved the data. So I’m hoping in the future that sorta thing could be added.

Ads pop up even in the paid version now. This would have been a 5-star review because it is a very enjoyable game. I opted to pay for the app because the ads in the free version were annoying to me. Now after a few months of playing the game there is now a full screen ad that pops up when starting the game. At first I thought it was a weird flook but it has happened the last 5 times running the app so I have now deleted it. I can accept ads in a free app but absolutely not in a paid version. Oh well, guess it was fun while it lasted...

Problems since update. Like other users, I am having issues since the latest update. Wish I’d read the reviews first! The app does load now. However, ads are popping up in between games when they were not before. I assume that means I had paid for no ads. But when I go into the setting to restore purchases, it does nothing when I hit the button. This is annoying! I don’t want to spend my time sitting through the ads. Please fix!
