Perfect. My rating is based off the word functionality. I have not tried the other parts for this "office" app.I was looking for a word file editor that could embed images and do other advanced formatting things like adding tables. This app does that and it also lets you save as a pdf too. If you are looking for a good word processor and considering between QuickOffice and Polaris get Polaris. I tried Quick Office first and it has only the most basic of editing capabilities with no images. Don't let their screen shot fool you. In addition Quick Office costs more then Polaris and it is not even a universal app like Polaris. Polaris is more functional and easily the better value.

One of a kind. I've used other office apps with similar features and this one is hands down the best office app out there. I used to use a laptop to do most of my work, now days, I mostly use my iPad to edit spread sheets, word documents and store and organize all files. It would be nice to be able to edit and save edited PDF files within the app and not having to transfer it to adobe but at least it allows you to transfer files to other applications very easily. The most recent updates just made this app even better. Keep it up the great work!

Do not use for anything important!!!!!. I just upgraded this app and was keeping a journal on it for an assignment in a class and I saved the document each time I closed the app. Randomly this last time I opened it to work on it (all in the same day BTW) it kept asking me to rate the app and my document was in the thumbnail view and I could see in the thumbnail only my first chapter was on the page so I hoped it was just wrong. The app kept freezing as I tried to choose the thumbnail to bring it to normal view then I eventually pressed my home button twice to close out some other apps thinking this would help and when it showed my Polaris app it showed my document open with all of my chapters. I was relieved thinking it had loaded and saved my work but then when I pressed on it to return to it my document was brought up with only my first chapter and I lost everything. This was a characteristic of the old version and why I hadn't been using it and now will be the reason I am going to go ahead and delete the app because it's not worth it to lose my work and this is about the 3rd time it's happened. The first two were with the older versions and I had hoped this update would correct it but I guess not. Sorry Polaris but you've failed me and wasted a ton of my time for the day as my work is all lost. Here is your review you so adamantly wanted that may actually have caused the work to be lost...

Very limited. I've tried other Office apps on my iPad and this is the only one that will let me see charts and drawings in Excel. However, it is very cumbersome to actually create and edit spreadsheets using this or any other Office type app. Unlike the rest of the Office apps this one does not screw up the formatting of existing documents. Two major issues I have with this however, is that you cannot open a document directly from Dropbox; the document must be downloaded first, then edited, and the only way I can figure out how to get the document back into Dropbox is to email it to myself. The second issue is that I have some Excel workbooks with locked worksheets, and even though there are cells within each sheet that are not locked and can be edited (for custom form data entry) when using Excel, this app won't let me edit those cells. So many custom forms are not accessible using this app.

A system error has occurred. the app will close in five seconds. It takes multiple retries before I do not get this error. “A system error has occurred. the app will close in five seconds.” I tried the support page and I get an answer in kanji.

No iCloud direct access in application. Very disappointed Has 100s files in iCloud but there is no access to them from the application.

Worthless to me due to not being able to check or uncheck check boxes in excel forms.. I was seriously hoping Polaris would be able to offer what Microsoft has thus far refused to...the ability to check or uncheck check boxes within an excel form. After spending the money on the download I Unfortunately see I was wrong.

Great. Made easy to use

App quit working. After you did the last update my app quit opening up.

Used to be pretty good, now it's pretty awful.. I bought this app and used it to write several long documents. I learned early on to save often because it does crash. However, as long as I saved, it wasn't a problem. It did have formatting issues that were near impossible to fix after opening documents in the newest version of Office. That became a pain more and more often. Now, while in the middle of writing a paper and hitting "save" after every other sentence, it crashed, and behold. . .nothing I have saved is there. I was 5 minutes from finishing a paper and the entire thing is gone. I tried restarting the iPad just hoping it was a minor glitch. Nope. I honestly just want my money back now because the problems started out minor back in October but they just continue to get worse. This program may be slick in some ways, such as Dropbox integration. However, it is completely unreliable. Spend your money elsewhere.

Using sheets in Excel a problem. As far as features are concerned, this program is great. The sort and filter features in sheets are terrific, as is integration with Dropbox. I am switching to it on my iPhone from Quickoffice which no longer supports Dropbox. However, there are some issues with formatting that makes it difficult to use sheets save in Polaris with Excel on my laptop. Using Polaris, I opened a worksheet that I created in Excel, and successfully edited etc. in Quickoffice. I added some data to the worksheet and saved it. When I then opened the worksheet in Excel, all of the $ signs were changed to a different symbol....a W with lines through it. Opening the same sheet again in Polaris displays the $ signs again, but not in Excel. My workaround as to just reformat all of the cells to number rather than currency, but a real pain. I also found a formatting issue. Formatting such as text color, cell fill, and borders seem to be carried over from Polaris to Excel. But if I copy an entire worksheet and paste it into a new Excel workbook, text color, cell fill, and borders are all changed....border line are gone, cell fills and text color are different. While I like Polaris for its feature set, these formatting issues are important to me. If there were corrected I would give Polaris Office 5 stars. Polaris....please work in these issues for a future release!

Outstanding Office App. This app does all it claims to do, and does it very well. Dropbox is supported through the storage tab, but it must be added manually. Easy enough to do, but it was a challenge to find this out. I have already downloaded several documents from Dropbox and edited them. Additionally, the document creation features are, in my opinion, better than every other app I have tried, including Pages. However, the program seems to be designed for those who are already proficient in the use of Office. Users unfamiliar with MS Word will probably be challenged by the many features of Polaris. MS Office users will be delighted.

Why only 3 stars?. I begin work on my iPad (Gen 6 fully updated) using this App, I start a new document. Next I bring up a different app (such as Google Chrome) so that I may work on gathering data to add to my new document. When I return to my new document, it closes the moment I try to switch back and I have to start over to bring it back up for access (and hope I remembered to save before I switched to Chrome for a moment). It helps to have the “Recent Files” tab as it negates some steps, but it taxes my patience constantly. It would be nothing to complain about if it only happened “once in a blue moon”, but it happens every time, which gets old real fast. Among others, one of the rubs that I find is when I use (…) Normally, when you see the … it looks just as you see it here. Since the last update this (…) is higher (in the middle in relationship to the letter next to it. It does so as soon as you add the 3rd dot. Is this a new thing in English literature? It bothers me. I hope this may be addressed in the next update.

What Happened?. I have always admired giant killers. Your application for the past 4 years has been my go-to for starting and presenting slides and word processing. Your new 2016 upgrade to iOS 9.0 really suffers and probably a mislabel. Not an improvement I was hoping to see from the 2015 version. FIrst and foremost, I can no longer import images into the app. The camera and the other insert bottoms work, If import images doesn't work, then my ability to stay completely off the PC radar and stay on my iPad is gone. Please fix. Second, if your attention and money is going to cloud-based services and forcing a user to pay a large annual price, then you are too late. Microsoft has this already, with apps that work, and at a lower cost. Your support for Dropbox has not been stellar, so that may be a clue of your future business plan. Third, your "contact us" button easier was not easy to find. Took me 10 minutes to find it. When I entered my text, it forced me to approve the use of personal information. Get your legal to change the wording. What this does is force users to give bad recommendations on the App Store. Speaking as a software refugee, don't follow the strategy that DataVis and Docs to Go did and lose sight of the mobile platform users. Thanks.

Fantastic office solution. I don't know what the the previous reviewer said about lack of integration. This app's integration of dropbox to allow dynamic downloading and uploading of content works flawlessly and already has been incredibly useful for me during class. I can just download a powerpoint and scroll along with the instructor. Document creation is great, especially if you have an external keyboard to speed along the process (let's face it, the ipad's keyboard isn't the best). Interface is inuitive and works well, and I have yet to encounter any bugs/exits or anything like that. Great app and totally recommended!

ZERO STARS!!!!!!!. I am not one to write a bad review but I have to agree with the person who gave this app ZERO STARS. Before buying an app I read all the reviews posted on the first 3 pages then I make my decision, most apps you get what you paid for its a roll of the dice. In most cases if the app stinks I caulk it up to experience. In this case where you are paying $9.99 for the app ( I would not charge more if I were you ) I gotta say something. I just purchased the app and the first thing I did was create a company letter head to use on my iPad. I liked the fact that I could add images from my iPad ( like my logo) but once I finished my letter head and tried to save it the app shut down, just that alone was not a big deal. The next thing did, I was working on a letter and adding some photos when all of a sudden it crapped out and I lost my letter. There is also no spell check or the ability to switch between letter and header or footer. I'm not sure how I go about getting my money back but I'm sure going to try. The reviews on my iPhone were not has favorable has the ones on my iPad. I guess I'm going to have to buy Quick Office like Mr. Richard Booe did. Since we are all forced to give some kind of rating before leaving a comment I had to give it 1 star. I hope you will do the right thing and refund the money you received for a useless app. Thank You

Some Good Things But Needs More. Polaris Office 2019 Good all-in-one for very basic office use. Otherwise Word still the go-to. Not sure it was worth $20, some other free suites do just as much. I'm keeping it hoping for more, otherwise WPS may go back to my other fall back. Pros Good formatting of Word Documents Clean Interface Connects to online storage Snappy No ads Cons No Ruler (horizontal or vertical) Not saving Recent documents list, if loaded from OneDrive Does not use other loaded fonts No single place for Paragraph formatting Can't find a way to create or customize styles

Great App and Tech Support. UPDATE for new version (v5): Smoother than before, greater compatibility with Office, excellent features. Still testing out the plethora of features. Just need to have the company complete their on-line help guide, and this app would be complete! Older version (v4): Since iOS6, my old "office" app did not work properly and was also taken over by another company. The new app is worthless, so I switched. Found Polaris, and am glad I did! I like the features of each of the applications, and it has more features than my old office app. I had a problem when I first downloaded it. The arrow keys on my bluetooth keyboard wouldn't work. I identified it to Polaris tech support, and within 24 hours...24 hours!!!...they had a fix in place and submitted to Apple. Wow! So, I just downloaded it, and it works great! So, I was able to work with each part of the app to test it out, and it really is a nice app! Now, I can be productive again on my long train ride into work.

It’s Office On Your Phone. I love this app. It just works! Anything and everything I would want to do on a desktop, all in the palm of my hand. Just needs to enhance sorting functionality; doesn’t sort all information on a sheet at the same time.

Everyone Needs This App. I’ve written a longer review but I wanted to recommend this App again. No one needs Microsoft tools. This app can do what you need. No in app fees, no subscriptions, no logins, just great functionality. Everything you’d expect from Microsoft, without the ever increasing pressure Microsoft is using to force us to buy a 360 subscription by slowly “upgrading” MS Office Mobile to do less and less without their subscription. Microsoft’s updates are actually downgrades in functionality. Why deal with that when everything is here in Polaris Office? I’m almost at the point of deleting MS Office entirely. When I move the files made there, I will. Polaris is the way to go on mobile.

I think pretty full application functionality on the iphone of my office. I think pretty full application functionality on the iphone of my office, I can see thumbnails and quickly move throughout the document. can add and edit material shapes including arrows, stars, free line. I can edit and make it easier for the arrangement and provide tools to allow groups classified shapes and images. In general, many applications provide substitutes for popular programs from Microsoft. In general, the application provides a great use and it works fine. This is a great application and it works as it is advertised. I think you should buy it to discover the convenience that it brings

A huge multipurpose app. This is not your usual do one thing kind of app, this is a huge app with tons of great features integrated inside, it support a lots of document format, editing them, saving them, make things into pie charts, slideshows, pretty much what you expect in a full microsoft office and having them in one app in your phone which is pretty amazing feats to beat, on the downside if you're running with a iphone like me, you'll often find the screen is a little bit too small to handle such UI with all those features around them, I suspect things will look great on the ipad though, nonetheless it is a great app to own.

A very good app. A very usefull app. A lot of essencial functions like: sync the most of cloud services (I miss the SkyDrive, I hope the support come the next update), a very good documents editor and very fast app. I'm not a hard user of excel and word, only insert words, datas, images and some graphics, then I don't know if the biggest resources of them is present in the app. I don't give five stars because some points: the difficult to know how to upload or save new files on cloud (Dropbox, Box, etc), that I have to go to the folder on cloud and click on up arrow (it's perfect, but could be a UL and DL buttons and have this option on local folder too), and the miss of SkyDrive support (I use the office web app, then it would be perfect to environment, I put the dropbox folder into SkyDrive folder...). I use this app with iPad 3th gen and iPhone 4S.

Great app but. This is an incredible app but need some fixes. Please add more options to print settings; 1- Page orientation; portrait and landscape 2- Page headers 3- Paper size 4- Auto fit option. Thank you.

Best office suite for ios. How this has a lower user rating than quickoffice is beyond me. There has GOT to be something fishy going on... There is not one app out there than can import office docs as cleanly and with as few errors/changes. There is not one with more features. Quickoffice can't even put a picture in a document or pull off a subscript for chrissakes!! Other office suites are NOT scaled-down versions of office, but rather basic text editors that save in .doc format. In other words, useless for anyone who actually wants to work with Word, Excel, etc. This is the real deal. Spread the word.

No option to share a file to Polaris office?. This is quite unbelievable, why I can’t jus press a file in Files and share the file to Polaris? The only way is that I save the file in a cloud which Polaris can access, then open the Polaris, then to open the file???

No direct access to iCloud Drive. You can’t access existing files in iCloud drive the way you can in the free version. You have to save the files there first. I bought the 2019 version thinking it would work the same way, very disappointed.

Limps by. To be fair to any iPad software developer, the device cannot replace a laptop for a moderately advanced user. But you guys should divert all your resources to the word processor rather than micro improvements elsewhere. Not only is there no sell check, there is no auto complete from the native iOS, one of the critical features that makes/breaks typing on the virtual keyboard a win. A second best, but far below autocomplete is spell checking. The world app is utterly useless without it. The spreadsheet does handle many of the Excel functions, like VLOOKUP and many more. But you can't get very creative with cell referencing or vertical text alignment. Again, harsh reviews that try to make a tablet version of a very mature and sophisticated application like Excel is also useless. At best, however, the Polaris product allows for portable tweaking until you can get back to the real deal. It supports graphs and charts but you cannot alter what data a chart is using. Once you come to terms of the limits, it's still usable. The WP spelling and autocomplete, however, is a serious flaw. Better to remove it than get flamed by reviewers for it.

Numeric key pad missing now. Used to work fine. Key pad input removed. Should have been left in

this is the office application that I was looking for. this is the office application that I was looking for, it helps me be able to view, edit, add text, image files ... Word Excel, Set text layout can allow me to see exactly how my material can be considered as they are printed. interface is quite intuitive and eye-catching, but I can easily use in my opinion, this is a complete office suite that I have found, with this application, I can view and edit treat it right on my iphone does not need to use a laptop, especially it can read pdf file format, with the help of information for each one, allowing calculations to be inserted into the document your ease. thanks a lot

This App is junk.. My iPhone updated the app now it won’t open. I can not access my files. I tried contacting the company. They have not responded. Do I guess I lost everything. Do not use this app. It’s worthless.

Fails to keep your documents when it upgrades. The initial app I really enjoyed and it was very convenient but during the past two upgrades it has just randomly dropped/ failing to save or update crucial documents.

The new update is great!. Been using the app for 3~4 years, this is the best app so far. Thank you 👍

Don’t use!!!. My iPhone automatically upgraded this app to 2019 and all my 2018 files are gone!!! No explanation of how to retrieve them.

Great product but missing one thing... I actually didn’t know what to expect with his product, as there wasn’t much about it online outside of their own website. Went ahead and purchased it and I’m actually pretty surprised by how good it is. Would recommend as an Microsoft Office for iPad. JUST ONE THING I WISH WAS DIFFERENT.. how do I change the default font to what I want? If I can figure this out, definitely a 5 star app!

No support for Dropbox and problem with foreign accents. The app looks good. I use the iPad for writing and there is no app really good for that. They all lack something or other. Polaris Office looks promising. But I see two problems right now. One, there is no support for Dropbox, what is very strange. Two, it is impossible to use foreign accents (im my case, Portuguese) with an external bluetooth keyboard. The app applies the accent ok and it even shows the accented letter correctly, but then the affected letter remain highlighted and when you type the following letter it goes over the accented one which, thus, is suppressed. That is, there is no way of keeping the accented letter. As such, the app is uselles for people who use any language which have accents or diacritics. Also, I am wrting this review in the hope the developers see it because there is no way to leave a feedback in their site, which is another negative point of this app.

Absolutely the best out there!. Flawless sync with Dropbox, Box, Drive, etc. I can open any file, edit it and upload back to the cloud so it syncs across all my devices. The format plays well with my MacBook Air at home and my Desktop PC at work; I can edit from any of the three devices without running into formatting issues. It keeps my files available in the iPad mini for quick access without wifi and also in the cloud. I have tried all other "office" APPS I have come across and this one has been unequivocally the best. I use this APP for work to keep my daily schedule spreadsheet, to write letters, and forms on the fly, to print documents in my car "office" environment. I can't say enough about this APP.

Great program. The program is very good but takes some time to get use to it on an I-pad

Almost. Can’t add text to pdf documents which is a major deal breaker.

Simple. This app works so well with my phone and then I can grab files and move them to my MacBook with ease!

Organizing is all chaotic. All my files are all construed and all random

Buggy dynamic menus, lag that mangles documents. 10 minutes to properly delete a single decimal point in a table. No joke. Interface likes to pop up random boxes covering things you need, and not pop them up when you need it, causing frequent misclicks, undesired pastes, and the inability to properly place a cursor when using tables. Copy and Paste broken, no longer properly copies mixed formatting with your selection. Must reformat everything you copy if you have a mix of bold, underlined, different font sizes, lists, etc. (previous versions this worked fine) Their internal 'File Transfer' over wifi is completely broken in this version. Used to be a great feature, now just shows a splash page and no files. Lag Lag Lag. Start to type or scroll to a different page and literally watch the keys depress on the keyboard seconds to minutes after you actually finished typing. Often times hits undesired menu options that have magically appeared between the time you tapped, and the time it decides to register your input. Pdf output is still bugged. Inserts a 'page frame' into the pdf, leaving a big rectangle box over your output. Works fine for simple text documents, anything else is a long exercise in near futility due to inaccurate cursor placement, and delayed lag clicks. Better than nothing, but expect to spend up to an hour longer to make simple edits.

Great but maybe going backwards?. Really great app to most of the simple straightforward tasks one would otherwise have to start-up the laptop to do. PDF conversion - swift and more accurate representation of original than other apps has been the rule, however new version released 3-14 now FALLS SHORT. Margin rule box on .doc / .docx items, NOW appears on the PDF and font conversion is No Longer the crisp conversion it has been - quite Fuzzy :( . I've told many to buy this ( and they have ) and it is worth twice the price - Or more. This is no longer the case and my rating now falls to the rating here. Can you fix the issue?

Numeric input CORRECTED with latest update..BUT... Great app and NUMERIC keyboard now totally useful. Thank you Polaris office mobile. BUT now when inserting a photo in a word document you can’t easily move the the photo as once was possible…..BUT in a spreadsheet document moving a photo works perfectly. Please correct

thank, a great office applications. Polaris Office is an office application is quite interesting, it can help me save a lot of time, Polaris Office is a mobile office solution wonderful, Polaris Office allows me to view and edit Word, PowerPoint , Excel, PDF and text on my mobile device! For better rendering quality, especially processing speed is quite fast, not worse when I work on my laptop quite impressed with this application visibility exact text file initially, I was saved in special computer processing power is pretty fast on my device, it has replaced the bulky laptop to my view and process documents, excel ... thanks!

Going off this app. Developers not providing updates and it is buggy to the point of getting in the way. I expect bug fixes on a paid app. 1 weird capitalization is wildly annoying. Any time you move the cursor, eg tap in a word to fix a typo, the first letter you type will be a capital. Doc ends up full of random capitals 2. Auto text spell check is not the same as all other text editors on iOS, it makes even worse suggestions, and you HAVE TO accept the suggestion. The x you can use usually with the apple auto correct to reject the correction doesn't work in Polaris, after about 5 times trying trying to type a word you can eventually force it. A huge problem. 3. I've had it crash when switching away from the app, and also it sometimes thinks my doc needs recovering when I switch between apps. 4. The filing system is totally incomprehensible, I managed to put a file in a folder once but now can't repeat it. Filing is a terrible unintuitivr UI. No drag drop, no rename, can't see how to move things around, if you get into delete mode, even forcing app closed and open again doesn't clear it. Are the developers actually using this app day to day? Aren't they having these issues? I'm using it reluctantly, but would have more faith if I saw the occasional bug fix

Nearly perfect Microsoft Office replacement for IOS. I use this exclusively on my iPad. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint work without any problems when I email and download them. And Office has no problems reading these documents and spreadsheets. This has been a awesome benefit for me countless times. No brained purchase.

Good but lacking.. All around, this is a good app. I’ve been using Polaris Office since 2014, but now this app doesn’t seem to have any access to the “My Polaris Drive”, and after initially setting it up, it doesn’t seem like you can go back and link it to a computer. What’s up with that? If you’re not near your computer when you 1st set up the app, you’re out of luck? And you’re My Polaris Drive is unavailable on the 2019.

Files are gone. 2019 Polaris updated & now ALL my files gone What happened to them .. Please tell me how to get them back

All my Polaris Office dissapeared. On April 24th, all (20+) my Polaris Office files disappeared. I dont use the cloud. My IPhone is updated with the latest released. I have tried for days to get a response on from Polaris and still no response. There is no ‘old’ directory. I had been using Polaris for several years, Im familiar with the app. For two days the phone was sitting around with no activity. Every else on the phone works fine. Im desperate. What happened? Im computer savvy and it appears the app auto loaded and is no longer pointing to the right directory or they put my files in sone cloud, that I never approved. I need those files.

Useful business tools. Comparing the spreadsheet of Polaris to Numbers it has a lot of good standard PC spreadsheet features but lacks the drop down Menu feature of Numbers. Looking forward to them upgrading and adding the drop menu selection features. Always been a fan of OpenOffice and Polaris is bringing these features to the iPad. Easy to move your files into a cloud service like SkyDrive. Has a good file management process that is hard to come by on any Mac iPad program's. In time this will be a good business package and cross system compatibility. Enjoy.

Half-baked at best. Half-baked. Sort of works. Not exactly WYSIWYG presentation of Word documents - sort of half way between MS word and no formatting at all. Quite difficult to navigate around the functions, especially saving. Bought because it promised to integrate fully with cloud services, but although I can access documents already on my cloud accounts, after a couple of frustrating hours, still can't save to anything but the program's own on iPad folder, so have resorted to emailing documents to myself (which does work). (Since discovered that you 'save' to cloud by opening the document in that ap - but no clear pathway to do so, adn no mention in 5 page 'manual'). Creates 'split words at end of lines' problem, which can only be fixed when you later open it in Word by copying adn pasting into Wordpad and then back again. Shows spelling errors, but doesn't offer any replacements. Suggested a discount price in the body of the blurb, but no way to access it doing the actual purchase. Would go for a refund if it was possible.

No SkyDrive support. Lucky I only paid $0.99 as I wanted skydrive support, show me where the skydrive support is that you list in your app description... Don't say you can do something unless you can.

Some missing feature. Now I can copy files from file sharing in iTunes but Paid $22 for app that has no insert-table feature. PLEASE FIX!!

Couldn't do with out it!. Well, despite those negative comments from those who obviously expect more, for less, I recon it's brilliant! Used in conjunction with Dropbox, you now have a complete office on the go!! I can open email attachments, edit, save a word doc or Excel spreadsheet as a PDF, and email back. Now you can't do that in apple email. I recon it's brilliant, and if your serious about using your IPad or iPhone as a real productivity tool, download it. You won't regret it!

It Works.....But response could be improved. After using documents to go premium for over a year I've always been disappointed that I've been unable to filter spreadsheet cells to only display data I want to see. Polaris office does everything I need to on the to and more. the only downside I've come across is the fact it can have slow response when scrolling through the spreadsheet. if the response was improved to be faster I would rate 5 stars.

Polaris office 5. This is one of the best apps I have on my Ipad So convenient and easy to use.

Accurate formatting. I've installed a lot of these type of apps, generally because they all have their different strengths and weaknesses. This is the only app that precisely replicates PowerPoint Slides that I've created at work using various corporate templates. Only negative is that it is a little laggy.

Good alternative to MS Office. If you have a iPad Pro or need more features than the free version of Microsoft Office try Polaris. It has a familiar interface and works with many cloud services.

Great app but issues with Dropbox. Looks well, works well, just dropbox req tuneup

AMAZING. Does everything needed and so much more

Pretty cool. Pretty cool

Buggy. I bought this because it works with Dropbox, which it does do. But there are many shortcomings. If you make a new document, you cannot save it directly to Dropbox; it needs an awkward workaround to avoid this. Editing a Word document shows some strange behaviours with (among other things) randomly switching to capital letters, no autocorrect on typing, and buggy behaviour on auto-numbered paragraphs. I haven't used it much, but confidently expect that if I use it a lot more, I'll find a host of other problems. Too bad.

Well worth the effort.. There's very little, if anything, not to like about this program, it does just what is needed without the expense of others like it.

Frozen App, Screen. Since I have updated to Iso9 I haven't been able to access this app. It is frozen. Please fix as I urgently need access to files.

Not wORTH IT. Texts look poor on Retina Display. Horrible usability with external keyboard..can't scroll through texts using arrows on the keyboard and cannot select words using SHIFT+arrows. Don't bother if you need to edit documents with an external keyboard

very bad. The speed is too slow, Not worth buying, Need improved.

Great office app. overall a great office app to use. Spell check has finally been added to check all those incorrect spelling mistakes but the app can not correct the spelling.

Execellent. Long time user, very efficient software for making basic or extensive changes to documents.

Was great but new 2019 version horrible. I have used polaris office for years now and foolishly updated to the 2019 version, what a mistake. Its a huge step back as far as the layout goes and is nothing like what polaris users are use to . No more file shots to click to open its more like using note for ipad . Another good app down the drain . 👎

Buyer's remorse. Zoom is too slow, It's easy to get stuck. The use is not convenient.

Not worth it. Been waiting for this but sorely disappointed. 1. Too slow in scrolling up and down as to be unusable 2. Word files compatibility is very bad. Useful for basic text editing only 3. Charting and other function in spreadsheet unintuitive and not functional 4. PowerPoint equivalent too slow scrolling pages. 5. Lack of support for Dropbox although support website shows this, 6. Etc. In short this is an alpha version suitable only as an in house testing. They should pay users for testing the app not the other way around. A complete waste of $11. Can I get a refund? I gave one star only because you need to give something in order to submit this review. Otherwise I would have given a big fat zero.

I love it!!!. Thank you, I love the use of simplicity!!

Hectic. It is so good I sold my laptop!!

Mixed experience. It does allow one to view or even create files in word etc, which is excellent. The user interface is very poor, not intuitive at all, nonsensical necessity to go to "edit" to do anything with the files. Why not just keep one's finger on the document for a few seconds? By biggest complaint is that one cannot upload a document to cloud from this application. It does allow you to connect to Box.net and others and you can edit documents that you downloaded from there, but if you created a document using Polaris you are doomed! Well, you could email it to your PC and then upload it to box if you can be bothered. Guys out yourselves in the shoes of the consumer and try the application in a range of situations before you release it, mkay? Ta

No Dropbox save?. Have emailed several times. These guys aren't interested in getting back to me. I cannot create a file in Dropbox. Great to use but useless while no cloud enabled file creation. I have commented below in the past but the comments don't show up??? Love how it works. Especially with my Bluetooth keyboard but I cannot find any way to save to Dropbox which renders it 100% useless. Would love a refund if this is the case. I have emailed them but days later no response. Not happy guys. The app costs money and I cannot use it. The advert said Dropbox integration. Best I can tell this is rubbish.

Finally an application that nearly speaks MS office fluently. Finally an application that actually work can create and display graphics, seems to understand ranges , hide column, good sorting, Would be nice to have more options on the ribbon menu ability to create an modify name ranges and pivot table. Overall So far I am very happy with it.... Finally an application that nearly speaks MS office fluently thank you for creating such a good apps lets hope vs 5 arrives soon

Spreadsheet can't even display correct value in fields. Have a simple enough spreadsheet that has a column for year, qty etc. this app can't display the values, just shows that same amount in all the rows. When selecting one of ten cells, the correct value shows in the edit pane, but not on the sheet itself. Same spreadsheet works fine in two other iPad office apps I use. And the app has crashed on iPad 3 twice in in first couple of minutes of usage. Had high hopes with claimed ability to sort and filter columns. No point trying that given the massive fail in basic capability. Money back please!

User Guide needs updating. For some reason I could not justify text. The user guide only showed screen shots from the previous version. I would give 5 stars otherwise.

It's ok. Could really use spell check, otherwise it's solid.

No working with ios9. Hi guys. Couldn't find any other way to contact you. My Polaris 5 app won't open now since I installed the latest software. Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't work with Google Drive. Sounds great but it doesn't sync with Google Drive. I sent an email and got a reply saying that it will be fixed in the next update and to be patient. Maybe if they were honest about it not working I'd be happy to wait but It's not Kickstarter and I didn't pay for the app in the hope that it would one day work. Until it actually works I've wasted my $ and got a useless app in return. Cheers guys!

Good apps. It could better if support power point embedded sound.

Google drive support. Despite an update I still can't access google drive. Will take a long time to think about it and then times out... Not happy.

IPad and Polaris FREEZE. I have been using Polaris Office for years. Every time I update the iPad, the latest being to iOS 9.0 - things freeze. I can't open Polaris Office at all! This is very upsetting. My iPad is freezing before I can get onto the Internet. Please fix for me. CAE

Do you even use it?. Hello my friend Mr. Ducati. I was expecting an answer here from the makers of this app but instead I saw your advertising-like message. I think it was just a coincidence that you wanted to send it after my message right on the same day. I am not trying to underrate this app here and really wish it worked, but it is not working. I like this app and this is why I paid money to buy it. What I am experiencing with this app is really annoying and I need at least an answer. Is that too much?

A cut above. I've tried several of the Office suites and none are perfect. Polaris has so far risen to the top for compatibility in reading and writing modes. Integrates well with Dropbox, I'd recommend an external keyboard for heavy use.

Polaris Office. Great app . 1st one I've found that handles complex finance formulas from Microsoft excel

Not all Formulas work. Imported a file and some of the formulas were not working ie bringing information into a graph.

Well laid out Program. Some programs are vast and have so many options it’s bewildering to the casual user. Anytime I return to Polaris I find I can take it up where I left off. If you have limited time and want to get the job done then Polaris is well laid out and easy to start using straight away. Polaris is a joy to use.

Not working with io9. Hi guys, like other comments I can't open this app with io9, I need this to be fixed ASAP as I use it every day for work, and I can't access my docs. Otherwise a great app

Poor file system. The file system is not documented and there is no support for saving or moving files to the selected cloud service even while the cloud app is already present on the Ipad. Not very useful when WiFi is not avalable!

Sad. I have this on my IPad and love it - wanted to be able to work on the documents on my phone while out but no real easy sync 😞

Very useful. Very useful especially since it reads any file. a must have for every ipad user.

Don't want Office cloud. Then this app is what you are after in lieue

This suite is a great choice for me!. I like this quality app, was on my wish list for some time. I recommend it.

Website says Dropbox support, but the app says otherwise. I purchased this app to compare it with other office suite offers since it is said to support Dropbox and Box.net on the official website and since Dropbox is where all my active working documents are put. I was terribly disappointed to see that the app actually has no support for Dropbox at all. I've tried writing to the company to get support only to end up on a dead end with an ASP error when trying to submit my support ticket. This is not what I consider good support. Until I can get some news back from the company and possibly a solution to the problem, my rating has to remain low. There seems to be some good ideas behind this app, but in a poor execution in its current state.

Can't copy words from doc. Plz add the feature

Polaris 2016. Your latest update of Polaris 2016 is terrible . . . my spreadsheets often do not open and when they do, my current input is never saved! What can you do to solve this problem ?

Great - When It Works. I've had two significant crashes now. On the first I lost all my data for several months of work. On the second I think I will only lose one letter. I am more carefully saving work product now. Generally I like the program (until the crash!). It certainly does not have all the functions of a full word processing program but it does have the basics and makes the iPad a much more versatile work tool.

Great app. I use this application suite for all my office and personal needs. Excellent office suite for iOS devices.

Best Office suite on iPad. Currently I believe this to be the best Office Suite available on the iPad. It seems to get constant technical support and improvement and support staff are quick to be attentive to clients needs. It is the only Excel app on the iPad that supports comments for individual cells, and even the Microsoft Excel iOS app does not currently do this. (There still seems to be a small bug that keeps a comment appearing on the sheet like a billboard sign, if reopened in a new session after having viewed a comment and closing in a previous session...but I think they are still working to fix that too!) This is a must have app for the serious iPAd user! Well done Polaris Office!

Lots of features. Tons of features here, and they all work pretty well. A good set of office abilities here.

Almost the Best. Polaris is a good word processing app for any student on the go. The only upset is there isn't a spell or grammar check, very useful tools when editing a paper. I look forward to the update.

Wow. Extremely pleased with the app so far!! The possibility to add charts on excel is exactly what I was looking for! Syncing with Dropbox works like a charm! Scrolling is a big lagging but it's not much of a big deal! I hope the devs are going to keep working on this app to make it even better! Worth every penny. I can finally leave the laptop and home and only work with the iPad.

Great app. Works as advertised.. Ignore reviews claiming no Dropbox support. Some users apparently haven't taken a minute to learn how to navigate the app properly before writing a review. It is simple to set up all the major cloud services. Great app.

Are you kidding. In spite of all the little glitches that ad up to giving me something to do when I go to compose words... writing 2nd drafts for a month on several important matters. When I cracked open my iPad to get busy all my writings were simply gone, forever. What's the word I'm looking for... Bogus.

fast, efficient, robust!. Finally something that just works without to much need for setting adjustment. This office suite is new on the market and finally it has most of the features you need for on the road mobile office computing. The only thing that it is missing to me is web browser integration. Connected to Dropbox, box. And other seamlessly. And is very fast compared to cloud on, other office suites. I was using this in LTE. And wow big complex files come over fact and without loss of features and design. The interface is also cleaner then some of the other office suites. It uses space on iPad well and doesn't feel the need to fill white space with menus and buttons. Options and deaths are rich enough for mobile computing. Handles multiple formats like .doc, .docx, xls, xlsx, txt etc. As for .pdf. No editing yet but can read quickly without loss if design. I am happy with the introductory price too. Keep up the good work and I await any smart tweak and improvements.

unstable. crashed immediately in opening a simple .doc Documents to Go is not the fastest or flashiest, but its the most stable, and I have tried most.

For one buck it is a must have. It is a really good app, but it needs few updates to get things right. It has the Dropbox support together with box and google. Don't let other reviews to mislead you. My power point made on desktop, looks just funny in this app. MS word documents, even complex, look brilliant though. Exact copies of what I made on desktop. It is still made in iOS 6 style, so we are waiting for the update.

Does not support dropbox. It does not support dropbox...

Sorting with header column. Please add option to specify first line of the worksheet as a header line, so sort will start from line 2, or add a text box to specify a line number to start sorting from.

Useless. I bought this app to plot charts in spreadsheet. It is useless and can not even select which column of data is my x axis.

A good alternative to Docs to Go and Quickoffice. This app seems to run pretty well with all of the Word files I have tried to edit or create. It seems to have a few glitches though that are annoying. Every time I am editing docx files it capitalizes the first word I enter. This needs to be addressed. When docx files are eventually opened in Word on my laptop, the words at the end of every sentence are split down to the next sentence. The app has also crashed a few times when opening it ...usually when the app was left in the storage window prior to closing. With a bit more polish, it could be a leader. Luckily, I paid a heavily discounted price at purchase and would not pay the regular price. Pages is still the best bet for working with Word files.

No app support email, copy paste doesn't work xls. There is no email address for app support? Website fails to provide support, but does provide a manual. Spreadsheets copy paste function into new spreadsheet useless, only 18 rows copy?! How can you allow an app with no email contact? His app looks good, but does not work fully as it should, requires feedback, which does not exist .

Interesting. The application has some great features, but Dropbox integration needs improvement. It would be great to have a french translation.

Version 7. I like that you can now insert page breaks and use newspaper-style columns. Version 7 also has an excellent speller.

Great editing.. I really like how easy it is to edit and make new documents. You can also add pictures, change color fonts, pretty much just like the same as ms word! Really good job!

Since the last updates..... Since the last updates, I cannot even save the files I work with... It's useless now, I'm so angry and sad... Even mad... Please do something!

Great app. Awesome, easy to use..

Not ready for Prime Time!. I made a mistake by downloading this app and now I'm out $12.99 I only used the Word document viewer/editor. But there are a number of major issues discovered in 5 minutes of use. 1. Jerky scrolling of document. 2. Numbering on document not formatted correctly. Numbers and letters displayed to large. 3. Trying to add a paragraph (by pressing return at end of a paragraph) totally threw all the numbering out of wack. What should have appeared as "III." displayed as "III. III. III.", and also added extra numbers to each numbered line. 4. Selecting words was not as fluid as in all other apps. I wish I had my money back and I am surprised Apple let's this stuff in its App Store - what's the point in the approval process?

Best office suite. This is the best office suite I have used that actually works with docx, xslx, pptx and other Microsoft proprietary formats. This is the only app I use for complicated word docs and spreadsheets, and use this for PowerPoint presentations. My only wish would be a better file system for integrating with WebDAV servers, but it works and is simple to use. This is the best app if you do not want the expensive Microsoft subscription and don't want to deal with proprietary apple formats.

Stay Away. I asked for my money back. Constant crashes. Files don't open properly. Nothing but problems. It took me less than 2 minutes to regret this purchase.

No Spell Check???. Either I can't find the spell check or I just spent $10 for a program that can't check spelling like every other program does???

One of the most useful Office suite.... I discovered yesterday Polaris Office and use it both on my iPhone and my iPad mini. Until now, it is absolutely flawless and it works fine with documents (.doc and .docx, .xls and .xlsx, .ppt and .pptx) I create or I import and export by mail or with my Dropbox account. VERY useful !

Does not work with PPTX files. This product is the most expensive of the available list and it does not work. I got this App just so I could view a PowerPoint file, and it simply does not work. Leo

More support!!!. This is a great app and would love it if it had Dropbox and box.net support pls update. Thanks!!!

It's not MS office but pretty good - with exception Doc editor. Update: Even with Microsoft releasing Office for iPad, this app still has a few things doing way better. ---- It's not MS office but pretty good - with exception Doc editor. Sheets and presentations editor are excellent but the document editor (although many great functions) it lacks behind Office2 HD - by miles. For 1 dollar you should grab this. I paid 20 bucks, bad I didn't wait for a few days. It's worth it though. DocsToGo goes to trash, in case you still use it, Polaris can hide and unhinde columns. But as I said, doesn't replace Office2 HD. UPDATE: The integration with Dropbox and other services is very complicated and doesn't make any sense. It's absolutely complicated to copy anything from Polaris Office desktop and save it to Dropbox. Forget it. It's all nice design work and the 2 pane view is good, but it should take so many steps to get there. It should be more intuitive.

IOS9 screwed up Polaris. Updated IOS and now my Polaris freezes. Cannot access my files!! Need a fix quick, please.

Nice, but corrupts documents. I downloaded Polaris Office as part of the introductory offer. Pros: - Nice UI - Fast loading of documents - Word documents seems to be rendered nicely --- on the iPad. - Seems to be hinting at comments/revision support, which is rare in iPad apps (from what I've seen) + the UI showed where my comments (revisions) should be, but I couldn't actually view them Cons: - Of the few documents I tried, one "round tripped" nicely - I made a change in iPad after importing and was able to open in Word on the PC. However, the other one would not open on the PC after editing in PolarisOffice. I repeated the procedure a few times, but got the same result. MS Word (on the PC) complained of a security alert. Once I dismissed that dialog (by clicking Open), a second dialog saying Word was unable to open the document and that it might be corrupt. - Support is seemingly non-existent (or at least not responsive). The developer website has a link to a Q&A (under Support), but after typing my question and clicking submit, an error is returned. I sent an email to an address I found on their Facebook page, but did not get a response. (In that email, I also reported the broken Q&A link on their website). Posted a question to Facebook but also didn't get a response. - DropBox support appears to be one way; easy enough to get documents out of DropBox and copy to local iPad storage, but unclear (at least to me) how to sync documents back to DropBox after making changes to the local copy. (I ended up emailing the changed document back to myself). - Scrolling through pages in large documents is slightly sluggish, but not bad (better than remote access type solutions)

What happened???. I used to like Polaris office but recently updated and lost ALL my files!!! What is going on? I had tonnes of files and now I don't know how to recover them. I should have used iBooks for my PDFs

Worst purchase. Basic docs function like moving and dragging pictures will not work at all. Found impossible to delete document. Pressing the edit function does not bring up the delete button as the tutorial say it would??? There is no way to easily contact support as with most app unless you create a log in and password. I never said that about any app before but this app is useless and downright not working. Ripoff.

Reasonably impressed so far. Compared to most of the other "suite" applications I have bought and tried this one works (especially for PowerPoint slide decks). Still could use some polishing and better documentation - tabs for example. Still a solid app and they are adding features and upgrading it.

Best thing I've used for an iOS Microsoft Office replacement so far.. Originally purchased and downloaded this solely because I like the way it displayed charts. But I also liked the way that you could generate charts and not just load them after you already made them in Excel on a desktop. I do use the word processing occasionally, but use other text manipulation apps for formatting, etc. Mostly just because I'm already used to using them. I think it is by far the best offering for Microsoft Office compatible apps on iOS.

The Best Word Processor. This truly is a marvelous app. The ease with which documents can be imported and edited is rivaled by no other. The only bugs are small and relatively insignificant compared to the power and ease with which one can process and create documents. That being said, there are a few bugs: sometimes, bullets and numbering are listed incorrectly. Instead of putting four bullets where four bullets need to go, the app might convert the file so that the bullets are Greek letters like alpha, beta, and delta. Another small bug is that, when using voice dictation, the app will put a tab sized space between where you originally put the insertion point and where the beginning of the text ends up after dictating. So instead of: 1) deoxyribonucleic acid It would be: 1) deoxyribonucleic acid The only other complaint I have is that certain tools such as bold, italics, and underline could be laid out a bit more intuitively so they could be accessed more quickly, as they are used frequently.

This app is awesome!!!. I originally started using this app three years ago. I used it for about a year, and then I deleted it since I no longer needed it. I recently had a project to do and needed to edit a few office files. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the developer of this app has continued provide updates over the last two years. After using this new 2016 update app is quite apparent to me that Polaris Office has come a long way from where it began. It is both highly functional, and very well polished. I have no complaints.

Good App - But Crash Prone. Generally, this is a good, feature rich word processor. I use my iPad for work in place of a laptop, and have several word processing apps installed, including Pages and Quick Office. This app has the best feature set, and is a good substitute for MS Word for iPad use. However, the app is very unstable and is crash prone. I'm using a iPad Air, with the latest IOS installed, so it is definitely not a "compatibility issue. The app does not auto-save frequently enough, so when it crashes you can lose a lot of work. The crashes are so frequent, I'll be using Pages until the problem is fixed. But for the crash problems, I would give this app 4 stars. As is, I'll give it 2.

Not worth it. Polaris is not worth the money I paid for it (which was 13$). When you bring up what you have written on word (on a computer) to print, the formatting is all messed up. Words are cut halfway though and the rest is on the next line. Also, when you are typing it randomly does capitals, replaces real words with nonsense, for example I was trying to type going and it replaced it like 8 time with stuff like gotoe, it also does not recognize misspelled words. It's not worth it unless you are desperate!

great application and you should try!. I do not know how about this application but I need to integrate this application Dropbox to allow downloading and uploading dynamic content works perfectly and has been extremely helpful to me in classes. Create a document very well, especially if I have an external keyboard to speed along the process. I can only download a powerpoint and move along with the instructor. The interface is quite nice, and I have not encountered any errors, great application and you should try!

Do not buy!!!!!. This app is terrible. It crashes when overloaded and is hard to operate correctly. If it worked right, it would have a nice format, but it doesn't. The margins are hard to set to a specific length and I lost points on an important project because I was incapable of creating 1 inch margins. The setting is in centimeters, and I even took the time to figure out that 2.6 centimeters is equal to one inch, and it was a half inch off on paper. My advice: don't buy this app because it is a waste of money. Try out kingsoft office. It is much better.

This is just what I want on my iPad!. I have tried many similar apps, just for opening and editing Microsoft office files, however no one can satisfy my demands. Now Polaris office give me this choice. Now I can use it on my iPad with full compatibility with ms office. Very suitable for mobile office people. I highly recommend this app.

Purchased without a question. I have followed this app for about half a year, and finally it is on sale! I have to say that every office document viewer or editor is different, and sometimes we have to switch the apps to view different files, because the iOS device apps have to remove some certain sort of data we stored in the files. And this is one of my favorites! I am an addicted app-collecting person!

The application is really very beautiful. The application is really very beautiful, it seemed to work well with the post office format which is a nice plus missing from many other office applications on ios, but I find it does not support dropbox. As such, management ios files between the device and my computer is too troublesome and time-consuming, that makes me reach for Quickoffice when I just want to get the job done and deal with clunky file manager. Now I have to decide if I should pursue a refund, or wait and hope for a future version includes support for Dropbox.

this is an Office application is great.. This is an Office application is great. It supports most Microsoft files but the user interface should get better. It is not too useful for editing files faster than download documents, excellent compatibility with MS Office documents its good! The updated graphics are nice, decent and I found this application really useful. using Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese! Polaris Office is a mobile office solution that makes me be able to view / edit MS Office documents on my iPhone / iPad.

Somewhat Disappointed. Polaris on my iPad and MSOffice at work just isn't cutting it anymore. I take meeting minutes on the iPad and use bulleted lists extensively, then port over to MS Word. Yet Polaris can't handle list formatting. I thought this was a fairly standard thing in word processing. If you're just typing paragraphs you should be fine. But don't expect Polaris to handle special formatting unless you never work outside it's suite. The format button and functionality is a nice idea for handling the three document types, but it really slows down the creation process. I'd prefer individual format buttons along the top of the screen where I'm used to seeing them.

Doesn't work after ios9 update. Was working great until latest update. Won't even load....u might want to make sure ur apps work with the beta version before the iOS update comes out. 10.6...no cloud support. If u want cloud supported access it looks like u have to re-purchase the "new version" of Polaris office. It's unfortunate that it takes so long to update their software to work with the new iOS system (I think it's happened with ios8 & 7 releases as well). It says it will offer cloud support as soon as possible...I hope they do. I certainly won't upgrade to their yearly fee version and will search for other app options.

The best just got better.... I started using this app last year. Simple. Intuitive. Straight forward. Good cloud connectivity. Lots of features that stay out of your way when you don't need them. With the last update, it just got better. More features, but still a clean interface. Great job guys!

This is a great program office. This is a great program office. The graphics are beautiful, well run, open the document also very fast, this is what I expect from an office application on the iPhone. I landed two starts because I can not move the cursor with the arrow on the keyboard. This, to me, is an annoyance that I am using another program to type and secondly to support cloud computing. Hopefully this will be fixed in the near future. Thank you!

Polaris. This is a really good app, covers enough of the document edit features to be very useful. I've tried several and this by far is quite good. I do have one issue that I hope gets addressed. Please add support for me to be able to edit password protected spreadsheets. I am only able to "view only" my password protected spreadsheets. This needs to be supported. Also please add a password entry option to the app. Great app otherwise.

Works great for me! Best $10 are spent so far!!. I am not sure if all the problems that previous people mentioned were fixed or not, but I was able to get on Google Docs and I also saw the other cloud services that other people complained wasn't there. It even worked on my iPhone! I read several reviews of similar programs and this one seemed to have the most features for the same price or for more money! After getting burned recently with other apps and after reading the reviews from this one, it was a pleasant surprise to see that this program worked as advertised. So far so good, although I just purchased it. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering buying a serious office program. I have MS Office 2010 on one of my computers and was able to transfer and open documents flawlessly. Just buy it!!

Slow typing response renders app unusable. The last major update has rendered this word processing app completely useless for writing long documents. The delay between typing just one letter and when it displays in the document is so extremely slow. This is both with a Bluetooth keyboard and with the digital keyboard on the iPad. As a result, my workflow has suffered as I'm forced to wait for the text to display in my documents. The former versions? They were fluid, fast, and I didn't have any delays. I don't know what the deal is with developers... First OpenOffice, now Polaris! Quit messing up your products! If this issue isn't resolved, I have no desire to continue supporting Polaris and will find and use a competitors app instead.

Great app/features, but kinda useless without dropbox. Really beautiful app, seems to work well with the latest office formats which is a nice plus missing from a lot of other office apps on ios. But....no dropbox support. As such, file management between ios devices and my computers is too clunky and time consuming, which makes me reach for quickoffice when I just want to get work done and not deal with clunky file management. That means, it goes unused and is therefore ultimately useless. Kind of a bummer.

awesome !. Polaris Office is a mobile office solution which makes you to view/edit MS Office documents on your iphone/iPad. In the addition to that, it also supports to view/edit text file as well as reading pdf and hwp. Polaris Office supports convenient functions such as email attachments direct open in, cloud service, file manager and etc. for mobile environment.

Problematic. This app ostensibly has more edit features than other document apps, but it also has aggravating problems that make it not worth using. The program automatically capitalizes all inserted words, and sometimes random words while I'm typing, all of which I then have to go back and correct. Also, it does not select a word or part of a text; the only option it has is Select All, which makes cutting and pasting portions of the document impossible. So much for any serious editing. I was better off with Savy Soda Documents or A Novel Idea for my writing, but neither they nor this one are good for editing. The search for a functional word processing app goes on.

Best office software. This is the best office software I have found. It's hard to do much work ok an iPhone, but this software renders Word documents much more accurately than anything else I've used, allows the user to add charts in Excel, etc. Others are limited in these ways and more. It has much more functionality than competitors.

I'm pretty excited for this App, Thank !. I tried many office applications, such as professional office quickly ... but I'm not really satisfied until I found this application, I am very pleased, especially very intuitive interface, easy text editor, thanks! Polaris Office has made me quite happy, it helps me be able to work with Excel all the time that I wanted, but it has a point less than Quick Office Pro is that it can not transfer files from my computer with Wi-Fi on the iPhone, I hope that in later versions, it can share documents with my PC via Wifi

Get the free app. So you pay 13 dollars for a lot more "features" but I have used both versions and both are exactly the same in bugs and glitches. On the unpaid app you can hook it up to a Polaris account which automatically stores it and saves It so you can access anywhere. Think this would still be in the outrageously priced full version? Nope, there is no spot to put these on the cloud and you cannot even transfer from one account to the other?oh and btw if you wanted to use Skype or any other keyboard, good luck. Not only will this app shut down while midway through class, but it will also lock up the file so you cannot open it again. Yeah pretty intense for just trying to get spelling suggestions or a better keyboard.

has potential but needs improvement.. I'm happy if this application supports dropbox, but unfortunately it does not support cloud computing, this application has nice user interface, MS Office file formats is also great support. designing the user interface very fantasitc. However, the fonts are too small. I'm looking forward to the new version can use this application. Upgrade some file gets messed up when you open them on my computer after working on them Minverse ipad did not work but other than that great app, decently priced alternative but others like said, has potential but needs improvement.

Confused. I only gave this four stars because of one thing. Word count. Why isn't there a word count on this? Am I missing it or is there any? I love how it works seamlessly with my DropBox account and it super easy to use. Just make sure you follow the tutorial. I really like this except for the fact that it doesn't have word count on it. :( Completely useless for school unless I get word count. Because as of right now I have to copy and paste it into a completely different app to see how many words I have. That is going to get super old, super fast.

Good for writing, doesn't do track changes. Writing: Excellent formatting options, much better than in Quickoffice HD, DocsToGo Premium, or maybe even Pages (haven't spent as much time in Pages due to lack of cloud support). In particular, I almost didn't purchase because of the issues with spacing mentioned in another review, and there is full control over spacing within the app. Track Changes: A lot of what I do is collaborative, so track changes is a must for me (hence 2 stars). Existing track changes are shown in the document, but when you type the new text does not show as a change. Furthermore, you can't accept/decline changes or even add comments! That makes this nearly useless for me.

Best app ever. I love this app it's one of the simplest ways to edit office word on my iPod. I go to college so this helps me create simple paragraphs when needed and if I have to do a sideshow this really comes in handy. All the features are easy to understand you can add images and send your finish work to yourself by email or other means overall a great app.

Great representation of Powerpoint files. Powerpoint files are never accurately portrayed in iOS's default viewer, and many other "office" programs I have tried in iOS cannot do them, either, forcing me to work on PDF version of the Powerpoint files for any meaningful work. On the other hand, Polaris Office's handling of Powerpoint files is the most accurate one that I've seen, especially when working with files from Asian versions of Powerpoint (e.g., Korean). Certainly it isn't perfect, and it won't replace actual MS Office but at least as a viewer and occasional light editing, it is the best solution available yet.

very usefull app. Aoo is a mobile office solution which makes you to edit office documents on your iphone. In the addition to that, you can also supports to view/edit text file as well as reading pdf and hwp. this app is supports convenient functions such as email attachments direct open in, cloud service, file manager and etc. for mobile environment. just love it high recommend

Finally-an app with PowerPoint notes visible. I looked for days and spent more money than I should have on document apps only to find out that had ppt capabilities did not let you also see the notes. Well, I am a doctoral student who does nothing but take notes from ppt slides. In order to study on my iPad, I needed to be able to see the notes section, not just a rolling list of the slides. This app does that and I was thrilled to find it. Plus, the easy swipe makes it a clean, easy to use app.

Why did I ever stray from you, O Polaris Office... My kid has to have MS Word to do school assignments. Apparently the only way to get Word now is via subscription, so.. I ditched Polaris after using it for a year, in favor of the 'Real Deal'. Big mistake. Huge. Polaris does everything Office 360 does with one major plus: it directly supports other cloud data sources. MS did something on or about September 6 that broke my other apps' access to MS OneDrive. So I guess this review was more about reasons not to rely on Microsoft. Polaris Office does a better friendlier job with the MS Office suite on iOS than Microsoft.

Decent. Edits files saved from MS Office just fine, and it retains nearly all their formatting. It supports multiple column layouts, highlighting, spell checking, and most other fuctions I use on a regular basis. It will not support .doc or .docx files generated using Libre Office or Open Office, unfortunately. They must be saved using MS Office or they cause a crash. It seems very polished so far. Hopefully its compatibility and functionality will keep improving with future updates.

Their website shows support for Dropbox and SugarSync -- but neither are supported. This may fall under the category of false advertising. They do not spell out "Dropbox" anywhere in the App Store product description, but the product description on their website clearly shows Dropbox support for the iOS app. As the previous reviewer pointed out, this app does not actually support Dropbox in its current form, which makes it virtually useless to me. Now I have to decide if I should pursue a refund, or wait and hope for a future revision to include Dropbox support. It is also true that there is no way to contact the developer with these questions.

Can’t handle my Excel file. An attractive app for iPhone, and not hard to get started using. But after I’d made a few trial edits to the primary .xlsx file I need it to be able to work with, I opened the file in Excel on my computer and found that Polaris had saved strange changes to data that I never even touched while editing. So I won’t be using Polaris, I’m afraid. I wish I could get my $13 back now. But maybe I’ll try it again when it’s been updated to a new version.

Worked until last update. The App met our needs until the last update. We use the app to access files on our WebDAV cloud storage. Since the last update we've not been able to save files to our cloud storage. This is a big issue for us. Tried to contact tech support and their contact us page doesn't work. So we're dead in the water. If you don't need this feature, you're probably ok. Run into issues and you may be in the same spot we're in - no where to go for assistance.

FAULTY. I transferred approximately 35 documents to Polaris, from another app, because I liked the way Polaris looked and was organized (along with it's features)... only to find out that there were major features that did not work. One major function was, if you had a single locked cell in an Excel document, the Polaris app would "LOCK" the entire document and there's no way to unlock it unless you go back to the original document and unprotect the file and then open it in the Polaris app. The "LOCK" feature on the Polaris app is a joke. The app in its completeness would be great otherwise. At this point, I don't know what other functions do not work and I'm afraid to trust that it's ok to commit to the app at all.

Love this app - But will not save in Dropbox. I loved this app since the day a friend showed it to me. It is awesome and it does everything like if you were using MS office. Only draw back is when you open a file (document) from Dropbox, it will not allow you to save it back to Dropbox. It stays spinning and eventually I have to force close the app. The only work around it is to save the file locally and then find a way to email it to then place the updated file back in Dropbox. Also, I would love for it to have connectivity with "one drive" old skybox. It would make it the best if it had that ability!!!

Intriguing, but not quite there yet. Polaris Office is an interesting program. It allows you to create powerpoint, excel, and word documents all in one application. Even more striking is the app’s functions not found on apple’s suite including the ability to add videos into powerpoints and hyperlinks in word documents. Despite these nice add-ons, Polaris Office surprisingly lacks simple features such as bold, italicize, and underling. There are also very few templates (only six for each document type). I like Polaris Office’s intentions, but there doesn’t seem to be enough content to be a pages, keynote, or numbers killer. For now, I would suggest using apple’s document applications or the Microsoft suite.

Needs Auto Save + couple other features. This app is pretty good, I even went to my school and they are strongly considering putting this application on all the schools iPads. Only thing is it needs a lot more functions. With the add button you should be able to add another page and you should be able to have more page layouts. I think it would useful to have word art as well. But overall does pretty much what it says. Pretty good for 99¢

Failed to properly render my .docx file. Purchased this to specifically open a 1 page .docx file and some verbiage/formatting is missing. All of my other iOS office programs also fail. CloudOn will render it splitting the 1 page into 2 page sections, but editing/maneuvering is slow. SignOn will open and display it 100% but it's converted to a PDF. At least I get to see the doc 100% to make sure I'm viewing everything. In my case it doesn't matter what else Polaris can do, if it can't open my specific file. Maybe iOS is the crippling factor?? Guess I can't leave my Mac at home.

this is a complete office suite that I have found. in my opinion, this is a complete office suite that I have found, with this application I can see and repair it right on my iphone that no need to use a laptop, especially it can read pdf file format, with the help of information for each one, allowing calculations to be inserted into your document easily.

An amazing office 360 alternative. This app is amazing. I use it for most of my college assignments. My only problem with this app though is that either it doesn't have a spelling check suggestions feature or I still couldn't figure out how to use it. I hope for the developers to add suggestions to misspelled words or to make its use more clear if it already exists.

Good Business app for Excel. I use an Excel page to keep a recap of my commercial vehicle inspections in my job. It's so much easier to take my iPad in to a restaurant to do my recap at breakfast then having to undock my laptop. Although the Bluetooth keyboard doesn't 'tab' to the next cell, it is still a good useful app. Using Dropbox I can see all my updated recaps from my laptop also. Thanks

Not enough cloud integration for me. I was looking for an app that integrates with all the cloud services. I cannot create a new doc and save it to the supported cloud services (google, dropbox, etc). App only saves to IPAD. I can view my docs in other cloud services but when I edit i have to save to IPAD. is this how the app is suppose to work or am I doing something wrong. The description of the app indicates integrating with other cloud services which is why I purchase.... if this is not the case you should give a full description of its limitations. I want a refund.

very good. This is enough of an annoyance that I'm using another program to type and a second for cloud support. Hopefully this will be fixed in the near future. Also, the cloud support is a bit clunky, as you have to download a file then upload it when done, rather than simply having a synced folder like dropbox on your compute

Good but needs more. I have been searching for a good MS Office tool. So far this is one of the easiest and best, but it still needs more to make it fully functional to me. I agree with some of the other reviewers, it needs more word editing options. This said its still the best I found and I've spent way to much money looking for the perfect solution. Another issue I have is I can't link to SkyDrive or SugarSync dispute what the add says. Very disappointed in this false advertising.

this is a great office tool!. This is a great office applications with full-featured, with all the bells and whistles! it can be faster than the speed load materials, excellent compatibility with MS Office documents, I can open my documents from Polaris to work with other applications. This application is ok for basic stuff like creating a document and a document viewer. Polaris Office really easy to use

Great UI, Still No Integration. As a user of Quickoffice and Documents To Go since 2010, Then later Polaris. QuickOffice used to be perfect until Google bought it, then as time went got to where it wouldn't render complex Excel docs properly, Now today, Polaris renders Excel docs perfectly, but the only issue with Polaris is fairly big, it's choppy and not smooth when moving around within a document, Docs To Go is smooth. Otherwise Good Job

Great Program, Would Recommend. I have a few of the other popular office apps and this is now my go to app. It looks nice, runs well, and opens documents as expected. The updated graphics look nice and they just added arrow key support for keyboards, though it's still a little limited. The cloud support is a bit clunky, as you have to download a file then upload it when done, rather than simply having a synced folder like dropbox on your computer. But there's nothing which should prevent you from buying this. It's the best office app I've found for iPad. Pros: Nice interface Good compatibility Retina Support Regular updates Cons: No spell check Doesn't move cursor when holding down the arrow key on a physical keyboard and no shift + arrow word jump *yet*. Cloud support is a little messy
