Terrible “upgrade”. This app went from 5 stars to 1 star overnight. I LOVED this app and used it every time I went running and also in the car. Now, I can’t stand it. My playlists are now useless - it used to shuffle through songs on my playlist, now I have to select each song individually and when that songs ends, I have to manually select another one. It’s so annoying to have to pick up my phone every 3 minutes to select a new song (which simply isn’t an option while running) from a playlist that used to just play through automatically. Also, even when I do select a specific song from my playlist, I only get that song half the time - sometimes it shuffles through “similar” songs. What’s the point of the playlist? It has also limited the number of skips you can use. This used to be the perfect app for me, I didn’t even mind having a more limited library if it meant being able to listen to the song I wanted when I wanted it. I’m already paying for a prime membership, so I don’t see why I need to pay more for the “unlimited” music. At this point, I’m choosing to pay for a different music subscription service just out of spite. Feels very bait and switch-y.

So disappointing. It doesn’t play the song that you are trying to hear. I understand that they are trying to force people into paying them more money but that simply makes their service useless. Once again tonight I heard a song and thought that I knew who sang it. I made the mistake of using this app again and typed in what I thought that it was. I clicked play and it plays a different song than the one that I was trying to confirm. Try again and it plays something else. Over and over. This app is useless Before their money push I used to have a playlist that was all plain music and no voices that was relaxing. Now if I play it, their service mixes in people screeching something that seems to always be at a much louder volume and not relaxing at all. It says that it’s mixing in like songs but if it was really doing that then why are they not alike? It literally went from a song(that is I the playlist) which was based around a flute and violin to someone screaming at me in a foreign language(not in the playlist), and much much louder. One being acceptable to play at work to one that had all eyes on me. Why did amazons greed have to ruin a good thing?

Playlists & more. I would like more flexibility on how I add music to my playlists if I had them to add them to a specific list they are not in my general list. If I add everything to my general list my playlist gets bigger than I like so I end up just dumping music. Also I like hearing an entire album but if I download the whole thing it doesn't mean I want to keep the whole thing. Be nice to set tags or reminders when you downloaded so you could go back and review and evaluate. Also I hear songs on albums that aren't in the general mainstream that I really like. It would be fun to have maybe a WhatsApp community or some other type of group where you could share songs you liked with other people who like similar music where you could talk about what a song means to you or what you really like another artist. I could live a sheltered life and that already exists. But anyway. That's just a few things for my feedback. I generally think of a lot welcome to tag me up for additional feedback.

Great!... But One problem. Okay so don’t get me wrong it’s amazing and all but I have a problem that for some reason just happened so I was getting on music and I keep all my favorite music on my offline music playlist those who know this app know how to get to that ( by pressing those three dotes on the top right corner) so I tapped that and nothing happens I closed the app and everything and it won’t work I’m really confused and frustrated so until the decides to start working I can’t listen to my music and this is the only app I have for my music so until then no music for me this is a major bummer PLEASE FIX THIS! Update; okay I’m REALLY annoyed at this point I searched up offline music in the search bar and it popped up and it dark grey and won’t let me access it, seems to me offline music has stopped on the app and no longer exist I’m REALLY REALLY annoyed I had so much music on there and it’s all completely gone I lost everything this is very frustrating to me if this isn’t fixed I’m deleting the app and leaving a bad review😤😡

Listen every day. I think the hardest part is learning how to utilize the setup the best. I would click best of prime and expect to hear all the top hits, but that included others favorite songs as well (rock, jazz, country, metal, all the genres). So instead of skipping 10 songs to find one I liked I made my own playlist and added songs I liked to it. That worked for a while as I never get tired of my favorite songs, but I wanted to explore more music. So I went to stations that were different than "today's hits" and had major nostalgia! Beatles, Beach Boys, 80's, 90's, and the best of the recent decade were filled with songs we remember but haven't heard for a while. Now I have several stations and just listen to my favorite songs once in a while. I really do listen every day, well unless my wife plays it on her phone as we share an account and you can only have one device streaming at a time but that's another story.

Overrated. It’s really nice as far as no commercials and the look of the app/graphics itself but it’s not truly ideal as far as personalization. I’m not one that has time to constantly search songs or create playlists. I personally like to listen to the radio commercial free. However, there aren’t many radio options on this streaming service as far as mixes. Example, there’s no hip-hop and r&b mixed stations or stations that play r&b and hip hop hits, I guess unless you go to a particular artists station; that’s really a lot of constant work of constantly changing back and forth. I feel like this app caters more towards pop and indie as far as (hits). Also, when you do particularly find stations that you like you can’t save them to a certain section, it only allows for you to pull songs from the station to create a set playlist. You can like songs but, as far as I noticed you can only listen to your liked songs but it doesn’t create stations that are similar to the songs you’ve liked. I listen to a wide variety of music so if I’d listen to my liked songs it can go from classical, jazz, hip hop, oldies, etc., so extremely all over the place. I normally don’t write app reviews but I was extremely disappointed and frustrated to the point that I felt the need to share this. I should’ve did a trial before actually paying the subscription.

Mostly Doesn’t Work. I wish I could give this app a better rating but I just can’t. It barely works with CarPlay. I have a 2019 Honda and trying to use the interface through CarPlay is frustrating. I’ll try to queue up music I’ve listened to before using the interface and some songs play. Some don’t. I have to use the app to make the song play. Trying to find songs I want to play is frustrating. The only option on CarPlay is to scroll through every song or album on my songs until I find the one I want. Search feature? Apple Music gives me a way to at least get to the first letter. Recently played is hit or miss. Many times, songs I listened to in the car yesterday are missing from recently played. I’ll be listening to music and all of sudden the bass just disappears and I’m hearing the tweeters and possibly the midrange with no base. The only way I have found to fix this is to unplug it from CarPlay and then plug it back in. Most times that works but sometimes it doesn’t. It only resets after the car has been turned off and restarted. I tried reinstalling the app and reinstalling it but that hasn’t fixed the problems. Really not sure why this app is so bad. I think you can do better.

Settings. Overall, this application is very good and I only need I few little things here and there. For example, I would like the ability to have different fonts and, more importantly, a larger font size. The era of thin fonts should be over, as it is becoming increasingly hard to read the text on mobile devices. This especially makes sense when users want to read the lyrics. I would also love to see a way to better sort or exclude certain station genres. Finally, sometimes the lyrics do not properly display non-English characters, like accented letters. Update (January 2023): The application turned a sudden left turn. It became even worse than before. The user experience is so weird and overwhelming, that it's no longer fun using it. The annoying push for podcasts is just too much. When the application closes, there is no simple way to continue where you left off. It also just simply unloads if you briefly use a different app, such as Instagram or similar apps. Then you again have to opet the app and search for what you were listening and redo it all over again. Bad experience over all.

Good for music, bad for podcasts. Overall I think this app is very promising. The sound quality is good, the availability of artists is good. All the music related options are great. My issue with this app, is all on the podcast side. The selection and availability of podcasts are good. My issue is, they need to implement a way to mark all episodes as played, otherwise you need to individually mark an episode as played… wouldn’t really seem like a big deal, but to me it is. I’d like to transfer all my podcasts into one platform, but I listen to numerous podcasts and don’t feel like going through each one and marking the episodes as played as each podcast has like 300+ episodes… If they were to fix that and implement the mark all as played, I’d give it a 5* rating, but until then, I’m canceling my subscription and just going back to Apple Podcasts. Oh, and I would also like them to implement the auto delete downloads for played episodes of podcasts as well, otherwise I believe you manually have to delete each played podcast episode…

Needs Garlic. Not a bad music app. Selection is good could be better. I’m with the others about the songs/artists “disappearing” without notice, it’s frustrating and makes me switch to a different app. I am a touch OCD so when I add a song to a named playlist and it doesn’t add into the overall library of “my music” I get frustrated. I too listen to music for 8-12 hours a day while working and commuting. Sometimes I would like to have the ability to shuffle every song in my library from all playlists, that is impossible with the current setup on the app. “My music” should be the cumulative collection of every song that has been downloaded or added to a playlist. Lastly, I should never hear the same song repeat itself day after day when in shuffle mode. Most days I will start my drive by hitting shuffle and I hear the same songs as the day before. This shouldn’t happen when I have hundreds of songs in each playlist an my music. It’s a simple program of “each song should only play once until all others have done the same” no matter how many times the app has been closed. I use the app because I can’t stand Top 40 stations; it’s like being mule kicked by a rhino. The app needs playback help, music selection is decent not great. If I had to pay for this without my prime subscription I would look elsewhere, the value is currently not there.

Boo. This app was my favorite for years, then the update. Totally ruined it with the visuals, menus, looks like adverts everywhere you look, the clean easy-to-read menus of songs in library are all GONE! It’s horrible. Then, my app just stopped working, customer service said I had to log out and rest let password, fall by a whole litany of different tests that I’m supposed to do that would’ve taken hours across two computers and iPad and the phone. Not to mention all the time I wasted trying to talk to the person who didn’t understand me on the other side of the line from whatever country there in, not to be racist, or offensive to anybody, but when you need help helps to just understand the person who you’re talking to. I really hate the new set up and it’s horrible in my opinion, and I want the option to go back to the old menus in the old app the way it was before all this crappy stuff that they put it here. I think whoever came up with the design should be fired. If you can tell, I’m super mad I used to use this app every single day all day long and I had all of my stuff the way it was.

Good but can be better. Good app but has a few annoying problems. They allow you to view most of your favorite music but the problem is, the unlimited music thing. You have to pay a small amount of money for hundreds of good songs. Mostly any good song is in the unlimited music part. It’s really annoying. Anyway you pay a small amount but over time it becomes a lot of money. It’s really bothering wand I wish they would stop the unlimited music thingy. But even if they wanted to keep it maybe take off a chunk of songs so we can have good music.( Developers this might get you more customers!) but in truth is an okay app. I would say go ahead but be warned a lot of songs are restricted so it’s quite annoying. Me and my friends have been really bothered and have started to go to other apps. I can’t though because I have an awesome dad who is watching out for me and let’s me use this app but I’m starting to get to the point where I’d rather have no music than this app. It’s getting on my nerves. People! Be WARNED!!! It could bug you Badly. But it’s a good app and if you want go ahead. I just can’t express how annoying this can be.

Plenty of music, works well, could use a few more features. Th app works well. There is plenty of music selection with the paid subscription. I do like that I can pause and play the current song from anywhere in the app with the fixed play button at the bottom. Songs are easy to find. It makes good recommendations on new songs to listen to. I like that I can have multiple playlists for the family. It shows lyrics for many songs. There is a setting for disabling explicit songs which I haven’t tested well (maybe my kids). I don’t know how well the filter works. Here is what wish it did better. I would like to be able to not just pause and play the current song I am listening too but be able to easily navigate to the screen that has the forward/backward skip button. I like to restart a song over if I already stated it and I come back later and want to restart it WITHOUT losing my position in my current play list. That is the mai drawback.

Forced Shuffle. Even when this app offered a smaller overall library, what distinguished it from other music services was user CHOICE. Now in the name of simply being able to advertise “100 million songs” they’ve removed user choice and created a LESSER version of those competing music services. An additional X million songs is not a plus if they’re X million additional songs a user doesn’t want to hear. It just waters down the experience they actually want. The only people this is likely to please are those who want a generalized broadcast radio-like experience…and they’d likely find the free experience of services like Pandora superior in their execution. It’s incredibly frustrating to open an album in Prime Music, see the song one wants listed, click on it, and have the service go out of its way to play something else from the same album that wasn’t chosen. It’s like it’s going out of its way to punish its users. What is wrong with you that you won’t at least start a user’s experience with the selected song before forcing the unwanted shuffle on them?!?! Can’t imagine using this app much any longer in this current form and it’s making Prime membership a less valuable experience.

Navigation is useless!!. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to stay off the freakin home page! It's like every button opens a wormhole in space straight to the landing page; every other arrow - pointing back, up, down, doesn't matter - and i'm on the start page again... I assume you guys want me to buy albums, sure, but you gotta get your layer navigation act together or i'm gonna end up throwing my phone in a lake. EDIT: Just getting worse and worse with updates; about a year ago, the app forgot how to shuffle, or even that it was set on shuffle. After the last update, i get to watch the rainbowy logo fade to monochrome. Unfortunately, that’s all it does after that, just display a logo. A logo for an application that several years ago used to play music catalogued in a somewhat reasonable and readable fashion. Lately, not so much. Seems to have the same disease that a lot of things have these days - change purely for the sake of change. I understand that they have to get this app to work on many different form-factors and OS’s, a feat that grows daily, but it seems to be driving this app further and further from it’s original purpose. And if we can’t create a purely true random shuffle in binary yet - we need to assess our sciences and their validity. But if your algorithm can but just won’t - tsk, tsk.

Great all in all, but a few glitches.. I love this app. I’ll say that first. It has all of my favorite artists, and such a large selection of songs/albums. I can download music, create playlists, all the things I need for a streaming service. However, this app isn’t without its flaws. Sometimes you can’t go back to a certain part without starting the song over. If you pause a song and start it again it might stop making sound but look like it’s still playing. (It’s not, pause it and it fixes itself.) The app crashes a lot, mostly if you’re not in the app at the moment. That’s the most frustrating of all of them, as it starts whatever song you were playing over. (But not the album, play queue or playlist. It will shut down radio stations, however.) I’d like to mention that I saw a review saying you couldn’t make play queues or play a single song on loop. This is not the case. I don’t know if that was a patch or something, but I’ve always been able to play one song on loop. Perhaps it’s a difference between phone models, but I’m on a 6 and it works just fine. I don’t see why it wouldn’t on later phones. All in all I really like the app, and it’s by far the best streaming service I’ve used. The issues I listed may look like a lot, but really they’re small and easy to deal with. I seriously recommend AM. I hope this helps!

Thought about the music unlimited.. I just wanted to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE music. I listen to music literally ever day. But there is one thing that really gets on my nerves. The music unlimited thing is a good idea but, some songs that I really like to listen to are music unlimited, and I LOVE to listen to Taylor Swift but, a few days ago when I tried to play it, it said that it was music unlimited. But maybe you could have like “pay 10$ for one week of music unlimited songs” or “Pay 20$ for a year” or something like that. You don’t have to that but it’s just a suggestion. 😊 Update: As I said before I love music and I like the music unlimited idea but it’s just kind of expensive and when I try to listen to certain songs sometimes the day after I listen to them they become music unlimited when we don’t pay for it in the first place. So I was thinking that the person wanting to listen to music but can’t because it is unlimited could pay, say, $20-$30 for a whole year or 1/2 a year of unlimited songs. I’m not trying to cut how much money you get I’m just throwing out some ideas that you could possibly look at and talk it over. I hope that these ideas come to be useful in the future.

DO NOT UPDATE!!!!! Read first. Went from imo a good music app. Good enough to pay for prime, now useless….unless of course you’d like to PAY MORE FOR UNLIMITED . Now you wont be able to listen to the album you want without paying more!!! Try and listen to one of your downloaded albums….nope they will now shuffle that with what they consider “other similar music”, and you can’t turn off the shuffle and you definitely cant just listen to just the music or songs you want. unless…..you’d like to PAY MORE FOR UNLIMITED. amazing how much they have screwed up the app all in one shot. Its infuriating to use now….I use it on my commute and for our daughter at bedtime or was anyway. Now, it’s impossible to get the music your looking for with out giving your full attention, don't hit the skip because you cant go back any more unless you would like to PAY FOR UNLIMITED . Liked that song….. your daughter wants to listen to is again…..to bad. You’ll have to close the app open it search the song and guess at what other song you should pick because it refuses to play the song you want unless of course you’d like to PAY FOR UNLIMITED. So now it’s basically a radio that shuts off every few songs until you stop riding or driving or what ever you were doing to grab your phone to tell it yes you’re still listening, but good news is you won’t have to do that if you would LIKE TO PAY FOR UNLIMITED.

Stopazon music. If you are able to get this platform to function properly , then congratulations and have fun, but my experience went something like this: “If you’re having issues check your internet connection”…ok, my my internet is working fine and not connected to any other device and it still doesn’t work….what should I try next? “Check your internet connection”. How bout I just cancel my subscription, and use a service that actually works…ok, check your internet connection. Oh, btw, my favorite part of this problem is how Alexa won’t play music through the very speakers she is speaking on….pretty hilarious. Also, Just so ya know, your service doesn’t work with or without Alexa being in the connection….just thought I’d make that clear before some tech goes on a mission to blame Alexa, or tells me to “unplug Alexa wait 10 seconds and plug it back in”, because we all know without a doubt that is EXACTLY what they’d tell ya. I gave ya almost 2 months to fix it….even upgraded my subscription thinking that’d help. Keep the 12 bucks in fees…trying to get reimbursed would likely be more frustrating than trying to play music

Maybe consider this. So, there is this one song that I love, but the artist isn’t putting it on. :( is there some way for me to put that song on their sccount or something? I am not going to search up how to hack because I don’t want to go to the “dark side” also, that would be plain disrespectfull. I’m just saying that I wish there was some way to add to artists albums and stuff, of corse it would have to be approved by the artsist of corse, and if they say no, they would be putting it into considerstion. Or, you could add a clean reviews pole. It would be a better way for artists to get feedback! Just please consider it. One last thing, it keeps delting songs from my playlist. Even though when i search it up on the app it shows up.. really annoying. And the reviews are being honest. It’s REALLLY glitchy. So ummmm, maybe just fix that as well! I’m not mad, promise, it’s just the fact that it is fairly glitchy. Also, i feel like maybe you should atleast have a variaty of wider songs, like Miss Wanna Die, the tiltle may sound bad but i want more than a music box version please. Thank you.

I like but let’s talk. I’m subscribed to the unlimited edition (as well as a prime obv) where I paid for the year upfront for all the music you got. I’ve been using your app for about a year so far. You’re UI is solid, but there is so much clutter and overlap in your content/songs it makes the overall experience when searching for specific versions of an artists recordings stressful. You will find the same song on 9 different versions of albums some of which are legit and should be “duplicates” but it’s just your orchestration and layout is sloppy. I think using release date of said album for example as an organization method would be a really simple way to manipulate the data so it’s not so messy looking. Take Frank Sinatra’s artist results for example. When scrolling through the albums available, it’s all over the place. One of his major albums is like 7 or 8 rows down in the search results, while other single song albums or various versions are scattered in between and all over. Organize the results on your UI and I think it might be 4.5 star material. You lose a half star because while content is there in some way the price point is high for already prime subs.

Annoying glitch when you delete songs. I love this app generally, but I recently deleted my downloaded songs and now it’s annoying and almost unusable. I now get this pop-up screen that tells me to “redownload missing songs”. It seemingly gives you two options: to redownload or to “start fresh.” Since I deleted the downloaded songs for a reason, I choose “start fresh”…whatever that means. It then goes to a processing screen that says it’s performing the necessary updates to my music library, which can take anywhere from 2 seconds to INFINITY. I have a range of times for this process because THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I START THE APP. So, instead of updating the library or “starting fresh” it seems to now be a new annoying startup glitch. Sometimes the glitch cycles for a super long time, so I have to restart the app and hope the next glitch is shorter. BUT WAIT THERES MORE: when I finally do get to play my music, there’s ANOTHER new glitch. If I try to stream one of the formerly downloaded songs, it shows an error screen: “song not found”, with the options to “redownload missing songs” or “start fresh”. At least it will stream the song that it can’t be found, even as it pressures me to redownload. I don’t want to redownload. I just want to stream music on my preferred music app. If this keeps up, it won’t be my preferred app for long….

I can’t believe I still pay for this service. This app is awful. They constantly update it and it never fixes things. The music gets super slow then speeds up at random. Songs are magically uninstalled from my phone. Sometimes I lose all my music and have to re-download everything. The Apple car play function is crap as well as you can never go through all your music and it only shows you the first few choices. Sometimes when you select music in Apple car play, it doesn’t even play it and you have to open the app on the phone to get it to play. Just awful. Will be cancelling my subscription soon. The most recent update makes the app almost unusable. I can’t even simply go to an artist and play all the songs under them. It stops after one and I have to select a new song. Can’t skip between them. It’s awful. Finally unsubscribing. Most recent update is awful. Why would you take away the ability to to sort each artist’s music by what you have saved/downloaded? Now we just have to sit there and listen to/skip all the songs we didn’t want from that artist? Start making improvements and not downgrades!

It’s pretty good. Hard to separate the app from the service...you are going to get both here. I have been an unlimited subscriber for more than year. I made the jump because I enjoyed the music, the sound quality is good and the library is enormous. Yes the better content requires you to pay and I’m surprised that people are surprised by that. Though, having artists leave the free version without any sort of warning was annoying. Again, part of the reason for the switch. If you like the service, pay to support it. Makes sense. The app has been buggy for me in past versions. It tended to just restart itself. I’d say maybe the device, but this was the only app that did it. The latest update seems to have corrected the issue. The UI is decent, not fantastic but decent. The auto play feature they added is annoying. I get why it would seem like a good idea...if you play one song it stops. That bothered me at first, but once you realize you told it to play one song and it did exactly what you told it to, the frustration fades. If you want continual play, start a station or playlist. Nothing like playing a song that you know is okay for your 4 year old to hear and then have auto play throw on another song from the genre that absolutely is not. Good thing you can turn that off. In short though, no ads, huge music selection, decent sound quality and a reasonable user interface. It is a good product...one worth paying for.

Post Punk Leaning Toward Ypslilanti. Terms of misunderstanding have lead me to believe that the promiscuous and, hence, tartish behavior of my musical choices have left my mate in an otherwise undesirable, yet, highly agitated mood. Obviously, I was “highly agitated” when most of the music was introduced to me, but on further inspection it has left me wonton and without sexual congress. Due to the nature of my audiophilic needs and the various oppositions displayed by my congenital needs, I feel torn. And not the good kind, mind you. Several people have engaged in conversation about my auditory pleasures and the amount of emphasis I place on hardcore musics from the 1980s. She, my wife this time, finds it “shouts” in her words, angry. I lust for the dramatic push and pull of life’s rigorous and salacious moments, when men against men and women pitted against them, enthralled us all and our deceits were left unchallenged only to be rebuked in a pit of fear, confusion and eventual, demise... Fated to no one except our needs, hopes and, yes, desires. How I wish this service fulfilled all that, but, yeh, it is my own memory that binds my kismet. I will challenge it, for tonight, I listen.

Possibly the most frustrating music app. I am currently subscribed to the unlimited and will be done with it for good after June is over. Short version; of you have prime then it’s included, great. Otherwise save your money. I like to listen to stations as it gives me a better variety; first off the variety of similar artists was soo off pace for the first few days I was pressing thumbs down more than I was anything else. These were stations I created and couldn’t believe there were algorithms out there saying they were similar artists, furthermore it would continually throw the same artists I thumbed down MULTIPLE Times in there with different songs that weren’t any better. Secondly and possibly even more frustrating is that when I paused a song and then would go to press play on that song 5-10 minutes later I would just get the “loading song” description and that’s it. I would then need to skip or push to the next song ,then press play again in order for it to start playing music. Lastly if I searched an artist and then created a station off of that artist I would notice that if paused that station and then resumed within 5-10 minutes it wouldn’t resume on the station it would resume on most previously searched artist.. free pandora is a better choice than the current state

Unreliable. I have been loyal to this music app for the last 6 years now and they do have great options like no adds ever even if you dont pay and the ability to easily make playlists with your favorite music but the main issue im now leaving this app is because they randomly delete your version of a song or album off the app making the song either completely unavailable anymore or making you have to find another version of it. There are many songs completely unavailable on this app and with them randomly replacing the songs or deleting them entirely in one day my 600 song playlist had roughly half of all its songs completely deleted from major bands too such as Metallica and Five Finger Death Punch. These issues have always been present but Ive never seen them get this bad before and for that reason I am leaving this review as well as the app entirely.

Lots of reliability issues. Super unreliable on mobile platforms. I’ll experience at least some sort of error or a complete program crash multiple times per day, sometimes multiple times during a brief listening session. Rarely is the issue due to a signal loss, especially since i’m almost always in an urban area with either good wifi or good cellular service. The UI is pretty good but for some reason they hid the dislike button. This makes no sense because it exists to help you sort through the songs you like and dont like, all while helping their algorithm find more music for you. Another feature that used to be enjoyable was the X-ray feature. I loved being able to see the lyrics in real time along side the music, but for some reason that feature was modified so that you cant see the lyrics along side the music. Overall the quality could best be described as cromulent. You have a ton of music at your fingertips but the delivery method is substandard. If it wasn’t for the fact that we already have a prime account, id be using a different streaming service.

New Update RUINED IT!!. This is a great app! I can’t deny that it is extremely useful and easy to use— and is ideal for anyone who likes to listen to music on the go— however, after updating to the most recent version of the app, I have found that after a mandatory refresh, all my music was GONE! I had downloaded well over 3,000 songs (as an Unlimited subscriber) and was very disappointed to find all that gone. Not only that, but every thirty seconds the app crashes and restarts— making it to where it would be virtually impossible to re-download all those missing songs unless I had god-speed wifi, which, I regret to inform you, I do not have. I hope this is not the case through every device using the app, but it is the case for me and it is very disheartening, as I do not have data on my device and cannot access wifi 24/7 to where I could simply use it without downloads. All I ask is that the crashing gets resolved. Restarting my device did not help, either, so I believe it is the app itself. But also, please do not remove all of one’s offline music in the next update please. 🙏

Can be buggy, but I still love it. I really love this app, I pay for a subscription and everything. Having the ability to download my playlists and shuffle songs from one artist is so nice, and I love my ad free podcasts. (I am obsessed with Radiolab and Morbid!!) Unfortunately, there are a few issues that I have with it. I don’t like that I can’t just ask Siri to play music when my phone is out of reach. (Which I understand might not ever change.) Sometimes it will randomly just close the app or won’t play a song that I click on and instead play something completely different. Also, I’m a huge Lana Del Rey fan, and she recently released Say Yes to Heaven in both a regular and sped up version. However, both versions are sped up, and this is the only app that it’s doing that on. The perks definitely outweigh any problems that I have with it, and I constantly recommend this app to my friends. If these problems get ironed out eventually, the app will be perfect. :)

User interface design by Flintstone. User interface was designed by Fred Flintstone.... it’s clumsy, byzantine, and poorly organized. Any “user friendly” interface is easy to discern to the point where it becomes almost intuitive. Suffers from glitchy behavior when the phone is performing other tasks and operations which is frustrating.... it interferes with a pleasurable listening experience. My phone is a brand new flagship from Samsung so we can’t blame these glitches on older equipment. On the plus side, when the music is playing the sound quality is amazing and has true fidelity I believe as to how the artist intended it to sound! The available selections are nothing short of phenomenal, widespread, and eclectic! Although I would like to see more selections offered from the big swing bands that flourished during and after WWII, like “Sing, Sing, Sing” from the BBC’s Big Band Orchestra for example. Not remastered originals but modern performances of that style & genre. In short, the entire user interface needs to be elegant and its design philosophy should be driven by “organized simplicity”…. But you guys are off to a really good start!

Flawless!. Does everything Apple Music does, but a little bit better. Especially like the “offline mode” and this enables me to use my old iPhone to download and Bluetooth my music when driving, and I can use my main phone for GPS. The quality of the music while streaming can be selected to use less data if need be. This service is WELL worth the money spent. I have several gigs downloaded, and the downloads on the device can be deleted and new songs added within seconds while on WiFi. The only drawback? Only one device can be used at a time unless you pay extra. Not an issue in my situation. There’s the benefit of Alexa; she can shuffle from your downloaded music or you can create a station and stream whatever you are in the mood to hear. Having the larger file size going through two Exos-9 speakers is the definition of “immersive”.

New update is terrible. there is only one good thing about the new update, and that is that all of the songs are available to listen to. But there are millions and trillions of terrible things wrong with this. One, is shuffles related songs. What’s that about? I wanted to play a specific song for my little cousin so I searched up baby shark and clicked on it and it said we are suggesting other music for you. And it started playing really inappropriate songs in front of her. Like I was just looking for baby shark. Another thing wrong is you can’t download your playlists anymore? Like seriously? I go on big road trips a lot and I need to download my playlist for when I don’t have Internet. And it just cut off the downloading availability and says that you have to pay for it. really? And you’re not able to rewind in your song or skip ahead in your song. This is one of the biggest issues. I am listening to a song and I missed my favorite part. I will normally rewind and go back and listen to it but now you have to pay to rewind your songs. Seriously. You need to cut back on the updates. And if there’s a part in the song that I don’t like I would normally skip it. But I can’t skip it. This is terrible. If you haven’t already got the app and haven’t already paid for it, I would not get it and I would not pay for it. It’s not worth your money and it’s not worth your time. thank you for reading this and I hope it helps.

Why? Just stop it with the unlimited extreme now. I love this app, great music but the new update is not cool, I can barely play any of the songs now that I like because it requires music unlimited. And now I have a limit in skipping songs really? It won’t even let me play a song I’m clicking on, for example I’m trying to click on a song but it changes it up to a to totally different one. And it says: this music is unlimited so we shuffled one close to it. This happened to almost every song. I know you are trying to make money, but this is just going to lower your rating. Hi I know what I said before but now it’s really on my nerves, I can’t play any song I like anymore twice. I add to my song list when it’s unlimited and I can’t even listen to it there. I really need you to change this up, just a few weeks ago I could play most of my favorite songs over an over again but now I can’t even get to them. Please just consider changing it you need unlimited stuff now for pretty much EVERYTHING and stupid stuff for like scrolling through songs. Just change it please. All of my favorite songs I can’t play anymore. This is seriously killing me I can’t do anything I get that there was a few unlimited songs but this is to much just stop it! Please what’s the point of the app if none of the fun songs are available.

Bugs. After a song finishes it will not move on to the next song and just pause while on shuffle. I have to constantly remember to take the app off of repeat one song while on shuffle. If I unplug my phone from my truck to say go into the grocery or something even though the app hasn’t been closed and I get back to my truck and plug it into my phone it will automatically go on repeat. Fixable by taking it off repeat but it does it every time and it’s odd that the app thinks repeating the same song is a default. There has been 40 updates while experiencing these bugs. I honestly don’t think the updates do anything. And referring back to the top after a few minutes the app will pause after the end of a music and if I plug my phone back in it will default to repeat one. And also without fail after 5 songs exactly the song/artist will not match up with what’s being displayed on my phone screen. So there’s some things the need to work on. It’s quite irritating compounded by the fact there’s been at the minimum 40 or more updates in the years time these bugs have not been addressed. Music is my therapy and it’s starting to become a cause for therapy if they don’t get it together. They give you false hope with updates every week. I keep thinking this will be the one but no nada.

Not that great. This app is frustrating. If I put an album an my music and download it then it will still stream it unless I make a playlist and put those tracks in a playlist. So: add album to my music, effectively a playlist. But then I have to make a playlist, name it after the album, add the tracks from my music to match the album in the playlist, then download them. That’s redundant and such a waste of time. Also, the app constantly freezes on several different devices. When driving I have to fight with it for 5 minutes to get it to play music. Some great updates because it never used to be like this. Edit: It seems since switching to iOS 15 that it has not been working. Constantly CarPlay with the Music app says cannot connect, try again. When data was turned on for my app it chewed through all my data because it played ‘online’ playlists and streamed the music despite it being downloaded to my device. I have to enable offline mode to get anything to play (still starting the songs from my phone) and certain playlists don’t show up even though I downloaded them all. I have closed my account and switched to Apple Music. No problems there.

Good, but could be (way) better.. Okay look, this app is very good. I love to to listen to music wherever and whenever I can. It even has some of my favorite songs. But, unlimited is a good idea. It’s just that when your subscription ends, you’re no longer allowed to play your already downloaded songs? Like at least let us play our already downloaded songs without needing the subscription. They’re already downloaded. I was shocked and heartbroken when I found out that I couldn’t play/download my favorite songs ever like Fire Drill and a few other Melanie Martinez songs, H A L L S, Strangest thing, Mommy’s Here and a few other songs by CG5, This comes from the inside, Cut the cord and a few others from The Living Tombstone, almost all of LDShadowlady’s songs and a few others. Please fix this or change it. Let us play our songs that we already downloaded. I can not express how sad, angry, and messed up it is. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great app I just think in my personal opinion it’s just wrong to not let us play some of ours songs. And I’m so so so sorry if my device or app is just glitching and it’s not an actual thing. All and all, it’s a very good app to listen to your favorite songs. Just messed up that you can’t play your songs that you already downloaded. Thanks for listening and understanding, please fix this. I’m kind of begging you. Once again, thank you for understanding.

Plz fix the repeat button. This is a great app for music but during the last few updates I have a few problems with. One main problem I have with is the repeat button not really doing it’s job much anymore because when I put repeat on a song it would repeat but when I tap on a new song I want to repeat it won’t repeat and I find it annoying. Before the updates I could easily repeat any song without pressing the repeat button every time I click on a new song and now i have to press the button over every time and it annoys me. My second problem is the repeat button is not where it used to be. The repeat button used to be near the play/pause button and now it’s not there anymore. It is now in the options section and I really don’t like that spot where I have to press like so many buttons just to repeat a song. If you fix the repeat and put it where it used to be and do what’s it supposed to do I will be so happy to listen to any song on repeat and press buttons all the time trying to repeat a song. Again great app but plz fix the repeat button.

Starts out good. Lots of music choices. Easy to do basics. Many choices in the pull down menus. No instructions whatsoever so not sure what some of the choices do. So you experiment with the and do things that you have no idea how to undo. Example: selected the microphone from list and now whenever I play that playlist it starts playing similar genres not on playlist ( even after you choose to NOT have it play similar songs after playlist is over) The worst thing is the App. It does not ever match what is actually playing. Cannot stop the song playing cuz the app shows the previous song. Have to turn off everything and start from scratch. The echo will not stay paired so have to manually choose echo. Airplay does not work. Have to manually go to settings on device to choose external speaker. Shuffle all song plays the same 10-15 songs over and over. Can only shuffle individual playlists. We’re done

This is the best for me..... This is by far the best music app I have ever used. Easy to use. Easy to search and find songs. Super simple to create or add to a playlist... I have a playlist for my 3 yo son, one for our dog during thunderstorms...((It may not reeeally help her but it makes 𝘮𝘦 feel like I am helping soothe her)). I really can’t think of a downside to this app. Love it. We have the unlimited so any song is instantly there and available to download. Amazing. We did have just the reg FREE version for years bc I refused to buy the unlimited bc . . . It may be a few dollars but I just felt like WHY?! Tho, now having it the unlimited, I feel it is 𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙔 worth it. I am a music person so I wld have music playing 𝗅𝗈𝗎𝖽𝗅𝗒 in the house at alllll times if it didn’t drive the hubby nuts. My son is more like me so more n more we have music going and r having the best random dance parties! Still wish it was free/part of the Prime subscription but....maybe one day they will include it at the level of the unlimited!!

What happened ??. Really liked the app when I first got it, but for the past month or so it has been VERY unreliable. I listen to it in offline mode most of the time and it’ll have issues when I try to play/skip/prev music from my watch (won’t do the action or it’ll take 15-40 seconds to actually do the action), it’ll just force close randomly (really annoying cuz it’s basically a playlist for while I’m working, and I don’t want to have to open the app 4-9 times while I’m at work), and if I skip 4 or 5 songs in a row the app just freezes and it seems like it force closes 30-40% of the time (keep in mind this is while it’s in offline mode so the music is supposed to be “downloaded”). There are some little things about the app I don’t like, and the biggest thing aside from the issues I’m having with it right now is that they make music unavailable (I assume for licensing/contractual issues), but I was always willing to put up with it, but this is driving me nuts right now and I’m not going to keep paying money for an app that I constantly have to mess with just to get it to work sometimes.

Buggy before but now Absolute Garbage. As with many of the other current reviews the new update has only made this game worse. Before there would be songs that would disappear from an artist's album list but show up if you searched for it. Other songs would switch part way to a different song entirely or just sound garbled like the file was corrupted. Then the Alexa integration would partially work. Now it's even worse as you have a permanent shuffle feature on so that even if you ah e a song I. Your library you can't always just play it unless you upgrade to unlimited. Same goes for any playlist that you create. This even happens with songs I've purchased! I've even been unable to play or download certain purchases songs. Then, songs that were free to stream one day become Unlimited access the next or even later the same day without warning. And it's not just new songs or albums this happens with, but even older ones. This change is a prime example of what NOT to do. I'm switching music apps immediately & will probably just stick to the old way of buying cds/digital content directly from the artists.

Pretty much worthless, unless you pay for unlimited. I used to use this app a lot, then in November they made an update to add their entire music library, but they also added extremely frustrating controls. I was trying to play an album that I had heard about, contemplating if I wanted to purchase it. Nope. You can’t do that unless you pay for unlimited… They played similar artists to what I had requested. What good is that!? They have added all these songs now… But now, instead of unlimited skips, you only have six skips an hour. So they’ve added all of the songs that potentially you are not going to like, but you can only skip six of them until next hour… fairly dumb ideas from whoever the rocket scientists were that came up with these ideas. I know they’re trying to make money, but since they have instigated these changes, I just downloaded all of my favorite songs that I already own on CD and play them off of my iPhone. I haven’t even gotten into this app since maybe end of November or early December. Until they make this app into something that’s actually usable without having to pay yet more money for unlimited, I don’t see myself utilizing it ever again.

Improve shuffle!. Overall the app is decent. I have been able to discover a lot of new artists and songs that I enjoy from the artist radios and suggestions. Here are my cons: Artist radios.. I have avoided thumbs-upping any songs that I like. I have found that when I do, it will play those songs that I thumbs-upped first every single time I play that particular radio. I guess that’s the point but I end up hating the song because it becomes way overplayed. Which is kind of how Pandora’s radio is. It’s just annoying. So don’t thumbs up anything unless you want to eventually hate it. Shuffle on My Music.. needs some improvement. It seems like the algorithm needs work or something because it will shuffle and play THE SAME SONGS and then there are songs that I will never ever hear. I end up removing songs from My Music just because the shuffle seems to love playing it. I end up letting it play alphabetically just so I can hear my other songs. That’s terrible! Also, I have noticed that the shuffle will turn off by itself if I am connecting Bluetooth. That might be unavoidable but I thought I would mention that.

Great, but not always. I love this app. For the most part. The available selection of music is HUGE, although there are some artists and/or albums I wish were available with out paying for Music Unlimited (I’m looking at you, Led Zeppelin!). I was EXTREMELY excited to see the new update, which added volume normalizing, which was easily my biggest complaint, since shuffling music meant constantly adjusting my phone/car’s volume from song to song. What I didn’t realize, however, was that I was going to have to re-download EVERY SINGLE SONG on my phone. I have about 7000 songs downloaded. I’m in the middle of my second day of re-downloading. It’s excruciatingly slow, even with a very fast connection, and, unless you leave the app open, constantly gets hung up or frozen, meaning you have to restart the downloads (you don’t lose what you’ve already done, thank god!). Overall, a pretty good app for music lovers, and it would probably be great if I just started using it, but there are definitely some issues, some of which could have been solved, or at least forgiven, simply by letting people know what was going on.

Good music, not a fan of the shuffling/unlimited feature. The music is amazing, especially since you get access to tons and tons of songs. However, with the unlimited update, you can’t click on a specific song that you want to play without it shuffling it to similar songs and not the one you picked. Also, when I turn on my playlist and try to shuffle it, every time I do so it plays the same few songs in the same exact over and over again so I hardly get to hear some of the other songs I have added onto my playlist. Something that I’m also not a fan of is that I have limited song skips per day. This makes it even harder to listen to the rest of the songs on my playlist instead of the ones that keep repetitively playing. So even though the unlimited music is partly a good idea, these other features in a way contradicts its purpose if the consumer can listen to what they’d like. Again the app is very good but I feel that if these little problems were changed, it could become better as a whole.

Music review.. The music quality is great, and the price excellent. Though don’t go escalating it over time as you have done with the price of kindle books. Once, all below $2 now they are almost the same price as the hard copy book... There are a some things that would make the listening experience better for me. First of all videos, if available, related to the music... Then some way to see the history of what I’ve recently been listening to, and also a way of ‘saving’, whilst browsing, what I would like to listen to in the future. I sometimes leave the window open on what I would like to listen to next, but on re-opening that window, say the next day, it’s lost as I’m sent to the ‘home’ window (or ‘Home Page’ is it called ?)... And lastly why is an ebook now about the same price as the hard copy ? In life, as in business, quality is often more rewarding to pursue than monetary profit... but such subtleties, to the detriment of success, are lost if the focus is solely on the bottom line. m

Latest 2022 Update is awful. This used to be my favorite app by far. I play music all during my golf rounds to the enjoyment of everyone in the group. However, the latest update doesn’t work quite as well. And you can try to play a preview of a song and it will play a different song, or perhaps another artist altogether. This is so frustrating. Also, I have my own playlist and they’ve made them difficult to find. Then all of a sudden it kept saying I couldn’t skip through my own playlist songs. This is different from before. Said I maxed out on my allowed skips. That didn’t happen before. I don’t understand why something is working beautifully and you’re familiar with it then they go to change its’ functionality. Why fix something that’s not broken. Add positive features but don’t keep changing things. Update. Forgot to mention that on a recent update it also kept repeating a song over and over, and was still stuck on that song when I closed the app and reopened it. I attempted to play my list on shuffle like I always do. Somehow the functionality had changed. Not as happy as I used to be.

This app is fine?. This app mostly does its job but every few months, the “my soundtrack” section goes completely off the rails and comes up with a genre you’ve never asked for that it will play over and over and over no matter how many times you dislike the songs of that genre. Never listened to Spanish free form jazz? Neither had I until one day that’s ALL it would give me in my “curated playlist based on songs I’ve liked”. Idk what this bug is but now it’s only giving me classic rock… which is better, but still not what I want. I’m not sure what to do to fix it cause I keep pressing the “don’t play songs like this on this station” button only to get MORE songs like that. Sometimes it has no idea what to choose so it defaults to the top songs on the charts but I REALLY don’t wanna hear the same 3 tiktok songs over and over and over. I’ve never once seeked out a Justin Bieber or dua lipa song but after the Spanish jazz was done that’s all it gave me for a week. 95% of the time it works fine but every so often “my soundtrack” is clearly not mine.

Frequent crashes and slow opening. Used this app for a couple years now. Has a lot of features that are intuitive and the sound quality can be quite good for streaming. It's flaw is that it crashes on iOS all the time. It's also super duper slow upon opening. It seems to crash a lot when you go from wifi to cellular ( like waking out of your house, crash, get into car, cash). It's really annoying how slow it is to open. It can take up to minute and then sometimes it just crashes anyway. Its flaws out-way it's positives. Another gripe is it seems to play the same songs on shuffle a lot. I've got about 10k songs and it only plays a small portion. It also is terrible at recommending music and many times will recommend things I already have. The recommendations are also obvious without any catalog depth. It does have a lot of music. Many podcasts are commercial free. Why it crashed constantly makes it frustrating and useless especially when you're rocking out at it drops and has to restart and they can take up to a minute.

Love love. Easy to use, fantastic range of talent and great when I have downloaded my favourites for the many times I am out of reception. Just have to plan ahead and make sure I have music downloaded.

No longer select “Downloaded” songs by Artist. Why can we no longer filter downloaded songs by artist or album and only play those ones? I am disappointed to now only be confined to select an artist or album and have to listen to the whole catalogue or album and keep skipping. The whole point of downloading songs is that we want to be able to just listen to them by artist or album. NOT IMPRESSED!!!

Music goes loud when you type. For some reason the music goes loud when you type in any other program or app. Quite annoying. Might be to do with iOS 14 but they really need to fix it!

Flawed Repeat Album Function. Whilst the app is fine, a really, really annoying aspect relates to the repeat album function. Essentially once selected, after an hour or so music stops playing and a message pops up with “You’ve been a way from the app for a while. Would you like to continue playing music?” The option provided is to select either “No” or “Keep Listening”. As there is no option to stop this, it renders the concept of continuous play useless!

Almost perfect. When I say almost perfect I mean the selection is usually there but sometimes I have my heart set on that special song and I can only find a cover version. Thank you for the wonderful variety and the ease of assess. Great app.

Awesome, definitely recommend!. This app is good because you can kind of have unlimited skips by pressing the bad button and you can kind of choose what you hear by pressing what you don’t like and stuff. This is the free version. You can also play radio stations, which is probably the best thing. My only issue is that most of the time you can’t listen to one particular song, you can only play similar ones. Overall really good. Also if you just got it you can get 3 months free.

NOT REALLY A FAN but don’t take it Seriously💋💋. It ok I guess but cuties you need a bit more improvement on a lot of stuff and make things easier to understand just make a little things just a bit easier for stuff to understand because it’s not it’s getting there but it’s not there so I gave it a little writing. I don’t really like it but I do you like at the same time it’s not good but it’s not bad for you and it really stinks so don’t know about that but overall it’s pretty good just lots of editing and more things that need to be fixed and make it easier to understand. Some people aren’t as smart as everything as you as you basically so arm it’s just not as good as I expected it isn’t what I thought it was so yeah girly pop goodbye good ratings tell everybody that is a good app but I’ll say stuff to edit. bye-bye

Almost there. Really like the app but this feature would make this 5 star. We need a left/right swipe controls on podcast episodes in the list - by default left swipe marks as played and right swipe adds to playlist. This change alone is not only time saving but really quite useful for podcast lovers. The music I listen to here I find is music cleaner and clearer than other streaming services so a big thumbs up for that.

Good App But Could Be Great. Love the app, song selection and Dolby atmos feature for downloads. My biggest complaint is it consistently shuts down my app every time there is an update. I can’t get through a song (Online or Offline Mode) once that happens. It definitely gets old but otherwise it’s a great app.

Songs been moved. Some songs are released without the album and once they are moved the link becomes inaccessible and have to remove it from the library and re-add them again. Library is outdated, most of the old songs I cannot find. Please improve the search bar, from having an exact match to close match and showing similar results and obvious search.

No content filtering in AU. The range of music is great and I have enjoyed using this music streaming service. What I don’t enjoy is my children listening to explicit lyrics and sadly their are many songs with explicit lyrics and no content filtering available to Australian customers. This is a deal breaker for our family and we will be moving to a different music streaming service that allows us to filter explicit songs.

Good but bad. When I want to listen to a song then pause it and go to another app when I come back I miss the song. Really frustrating but a great app to listen to music.

I love it but there is a problem. I love this app so much and I use it every single day! I do not have experience with any other music app and so I cannot say anything about that but I do know that this one has a small issue. It was time to renew my subscription recently and once I did, we bought the unlimited feature. Unfortunately, we still cannot listen to the unlimited songs. The thing that bugs me most is that it’s gotten rid of listening to songs from old playlists and auto playlists as well as songs in other languages. If this is fixed, five stars! Otherwise, I definitely recommend this app to everyone.

Major update thumbs down. Loved the app and loved the service until the November 2022 update. Now I’m lucky if it plays the song I want to listen to. My baby used to love listening to the Wiggles album, now she gets confused and upset when it swaps to ‘similar music’ as they’re not ‘her’ songs. I could upgrade to the unlimited subscription to get them but why should I when I used to have access, just a ploy to get you to upgrade.

2nd class act. Pro - ad free Con - limited song range; popular songs only available via premium fee Unlimited tier: made to feel 2nd class despite paying for Prime Substandard - Apple Watch app is a stillborn, doesn’t launch at all; had to rely on Watch’s Now Playing function to remote-control playback.

Great app bar one thing. Great app. But very annoying as the music constantly stops and asks if you’re still listening. Really stupid because if I didn’t want to listen anymore I have smarts to turn it off myself. And not rely on an annoying tech to make that decision for me.

Turned a good app bad. What used to be a half decent music app has taken a turn for the worse since it’s update. Playlists no longer work without subscribing to a premium subscription so you’re stuck listening to ‘similar’ songs. Annoying, but can live with that. What is really bad is that it glitches and will randomly just continuously repeat the same song over and over, you can’t skip the song anymore or reshuffle the playlist. Why bother anymore.

Just when I start loving it.... Just when I start loving this app, it crashes. It’s the only app on my iPhone that crashes. Really annoying. Also, you can’t save your favourite stations like you can save playlists, which I think is odd. Especially when, when it crashes, I have to start it up again, and then I have to search up the station I want.

Not Great. So I had this app installed and it was good. There was some extra money to spend for more features that’s ok not a problem, but then something happened and it will play similar songs to the song you actually want to listen to, or go unlimited to here the song you select. Imagine opening up Prime Video and selecting a show and it playing the wrong season or episode and the only way to fix it is to pay extra. It is ok if you don’t care what song is being played like a radio but then again you could just listen to the radio.

Unbeatable Collection!. Unbeatable collection of music but the app needs a lot more work or complete revamp. Compared to the other big industry players, the app is slower in terms of loading time and functionality. And this is not specific to my device or network. Would love to see a much faster app or a complete redesign ground up! :)

Excellent App. I’m using this app in my iPhone 6s from almost an year. I liked the quality of the music and I liked the offline music concept.. but I have noticed when I’m using this app my mobile charging getting down very quickly.. other than that it’s perfect music app.. Hope you guys will resolve this battery consumption issue. Thanks.

Great service. Early days for me, but so far it blows a certain service that supports a certain podcaster out of the water with audio quality, size and content of the music library, Apple Watch support and overall value for money

Fantastic music app. I have used a few apps over the years and this one is just better tn all I have used. The layout is easy to navigate and the controls are easy to use. Streaming quality is excellent, when most other apps would pause on low network zones this one just continues to stream.

Great, just not awesome. Great, but compared against Apple Music, it obviously won’t have the same variety and extra shows. Audio quality is also worse but seems to consume the same data. That said, does the music stuff you need pretty well in a much more cost efficient way, so not a bad choice if you’re looking for music, not a full suit of entertainment.

Not the best music app. I find the app overall isn’t too bad.. I have found that a t drops out not long after opening it (1-2 songs in) don’t know if this is because I hadn’t closed the app right down from previous use..either way haven’t had this issue with other music providers.. Search tool needs to be broader I find you have to be fairly specific when searching a new track

Good but need improvements. It works really well on my mobile, when the reception is perfect, once the signal strength drops a bit, it starts to not work well. Now regarding work well with Apple Car, this needs a lot improvements. Like it get stop work when the signal is weak, black screen, no cache (if it does cache, must be very small and pass unnoticed). If I don’t select off line prior to get in a bad spot, it will not work. It starts playing but it doesn’t direct the app in the car play to show the music being played. It definitively needs improvements. I pay for the family membership. But if it continues being hard to use while driving, I will have to go to another music service. I did use Apple music for years without any of those issues.

I want to be able to download and listen offline. Never works in offline mode. Always comes up with an error message. It means I can only listen to music if I have the internet. Not great for long trips when driving and no reception. I really dislike that it now has turned off the ability to download and listen to your own music offline. Considering whether I’ll renew my subscription because of this.

Search option. When looking for a song name or artist. They title must be perfect. Otherwise, it won’t show it. I’d like it to show other option and suggestions. We must of the time writing can be misplaced. Overall great app

Almost Love It. I really like this app. It’s not too expensive and has a great catalogue of artists/music. Some of the negatives include the playlists. They are very repetitive with the same songs appearing in different lists. Also some lists have music which aren’t the original artists which kinda throw me. If I wanna listen to Madonna’s Vogue I expect it to be Madonna not some random unheard of belting out a poor imitation. Also, you can create your own list which is great but after a while songs start being removed for reasons unknown? All in all I really do like the app but fall just short of loving it 😁

No song preview. Searching for the intended song is next to impossible without the paid version as there is no song preview option. Once you click on the song, it plays a random song from the selected album/playlist that the song is in. App stops the music after a couple of hours - need to open the app and confirm to continue listening.

The App is Great, just has some small issues.. I really like this app. There’s a lot of content and the functionality of the app is great. But the offline mode has some major flaws, which is why I don’t like the app as much. My biggest issue is if I have an online playlist and have downloaded that playlist to my phone, then add a song(s) to the online playlist. The app will create a new playlist in offline mode called, “[Playlist Name] (1).” It’s a really annoying feature and means that at one point I had 56 versions of the same playlist on my phone. It would be great if the app would recognise added content and just incorporate into the existing playlist. Another issue is the app wiping songs after 14 days if you don’t connect to the internet. I leave the app in offline mode most of the time and this means the app never connects to confirm I still have a subscription. This means after 14 days I have to re-download a playlist. It would be better if the app just locked you out of offline music until you connected to the internet and then enabled it again. And even better, would be if the app would connect to the internet to check, even in offline mode, if you connect to wifi.

Good, but can be better. Very good range of music, although some of the songs on albums are missing for some reason. The player generally works well from windows, does crash now and then. Unfortunately there is no Siri integration. The app needs to include band bio information.

No value for money. The app doesn’t provide value for money. Has few bugs like you can not change songs, of stops in the middle of playing- special when connected to car. Not user friendly as well.

Great sound but clunky interface. The streams sound great but the interface is clunky and the controls are so small they are sometimes hard to use. There’s no way to send a playlist to an Alexa device like an Echo or Echo Dot, and neither Alexa or Siri offer voice control in the App so it’s pretty useless whilst driving. But it sounds good!

No EQ setting on IOS. Surprised to see no EQ setting on iOS. Would be a great if it could add in the coming update. Add animated album covers to make it interesting when the phone is locked. Overall kinda okay okay app

Terrible app. This is the worst podcast app. If it weren’t for the fact that the playback is adfree then I wouldn’t use it at all. It’s hard to find podcasts, had to navigate through episodes and mark off what you have listened to. It doesn’t work well with carplay, it often crashes when connecting to my car and when skipping forward it skips to the next ep instead of fast forwarding. Terrible terrible app

Ok but not wow.... Disappointing due to the limitations on music selection. A bit of rip-off compared to similar services on the market. Why is there an unlimited option when other services offer much more for same price?

Great collection. Most of the songs I search for are available. It would be really great if there are more relevant suggestions of playlists and songs according to ones preference. UI can be improved like adding songs to playlists can be made easier. As compared to last year it was a drastic improvement and kudos to that!

Quality. I have only recently joined I haven’t watched any movies as yet but I have been listening too and making playlists. Just wanted to comment on the quality, very impressed, with that and finding hidden gems from 70s

Okay - keep tweaking the app. Great to now have an All Access playlist and the addition of much more material. Not great with an Apple Watch as there is no support for Siri. There’s also this really annoying timed listening with a “keep listening” that you have to keep hitting. Maybe there’s a setting I’ve missed to get rid of it but it stops playing until you set it off again.

Good catalog marred by search and bugs. It’s a music app. It plays, it has a great depth of music, but good luck finding it. The search is atrocious requiring exact matches, failing to allow searching of your music vs the catalog, and results with awful sorting. Recommendations and ordering for popular songs or albums are laughable and a burden when searching outside the top of the charts as they almost appear random yet preclude you from even basic sorting. If you mix purchases and downloads you end up with missing tracks on albums or songs appearing out of place. The catalog is pretty darn good, but it does suffer from lack of search options and with mislabeling or blending of results, especially on the more obscure content. Overall, it does work, the catalog is good, offline play works, and it does the job so it gets the 3rd star. It could be so much better, though.

Great!. This has made my experience with music much easier and cheaper. Laying down $20 or so for a couple of songs on iTunes really isn’t viable when you have bills coming out your ears! Go to love Amazon’s services, they are just great!

Great music but the stop function doesn’t work every week or so.. I’m using iPhone, it works perfectly until it wont stop… the toggle is unresponsive the only way to stop it is to delete the app and reinstall. It would be great if this could be fixed. Otherwise great app!

Anything I like. It has any music I like. I made a few playlists for different moods when driving and anything I wanted I could play on shuffle or repeat the usual standard you should expect from an app such this one. Decent app and at affordable cost hardly noticeable

Venkat. A wonderfull app which has all the songs around the world. Playlists available and suggestions around playlists is a superb feature which is making my life easy while driving.

Issues with car play. Works fine and good music . However does not work properly on my bmw Apple car play . Most of the time hangs or shows an error saying unable to connect to (null) Perhaps the null pointer exception was not handled by the coder 😃 fix it please as it’s frustrating when you are driving and trying to listen to music but have to force to listen to radio instead

New annoying bug. I’ve used this app for a long time and been generally happy. It suggests great music that is similar to music I like and has introduced me to new music I love. I’ve always felt the CarPlay app is too locked down and needs a search function. Sadly, with the latest update every time I leave my car and unplug from CarPlay, the music keeps playing on my phone and I have to force quit the app to stop it (simply pressing pause does not stop the music)

Not a fan. So far, after 2 days of use, I find this a Poor app, slow to load, annoying to use, drops out easily, compared to the regular apple podcasts app anyhow. I will give it a bit longer to get used to, I listen to podcasts for many hours day and night so if it’s going to happen it shouldn’t take too long… So far though, I am frustrated enough to be inspired to write a negative review. (I usually hate leaving negative reviews, it’s taken me 3 times of contemplating/writing it to actually go through with the review, I’m that frustrated!)

Need more in-app editing. I love the sound quality and the lyrics being available. The only thing I miss from other services is the ability to edit order of tracks in my playlist within my phone app. My friend in the USA can do it but maybe because I am in Australia it’s not an option other than on computer. Other than that I like it.

Updates made. I used to be able to choose my songs with my membership and play them in whatever order I want. Now it just shuffled them after 4 songs and won’t let me choose my songs. Even when I have a playlist it shuffles out of the playlist to completely random songs. No point in me paying for a membership when I can’t even choose my own songs.

Pretty good.. Would still like to see more selection. But it’s good and I like the features.

Great perk for Prime members. The App works really good so far. No issues to report with the UI. Content is sufficient. Not exceptional, but as a perk with Prime I can’t complain. I think Amazon has the right idea with their Prime ecosystem. I especially like the student discount. I think more companies should learn from Amazons student memberships.

It used to be included with my Prime membership. Now they don't!

Awful move. I am so disappointed in what Amazon did with the music. Now what they are really telling me is that there is no more free music because they are dictating how I should listen. Why not just be honest and scrap free altogether and I can either buy or go elsewhere. I plan to go to iTunes after that deceptive change. This was not the way to reward faithful customers.

Really disappointed. App was ok until they hijacked my playlist and are trying to make me pay $11/month to listen to it.

Reset the 4.6 star rating. Since the update late last year, this is a completely different product. Most of the “most helpful” reviews advertise functions that are no longer available. Reset the rating, or better yet, bring back the original app!! (Wishful thinking)

Used to be great. This app was great before you decided to be money hungry. I have more than 500 songs liked, yet you only start my shuffle play with the same 5 songs (every. Single. Time.), and I can’t skip songs after I skip those 5, so this app is now useless. If I ever decide to pay for a music app, you’ve ensured it won’t be this one. And I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know not to bother.

Great music at a cheap price. This is great for music because with your amazon prime you can listen to music at on and off line. Due to the cheap membership and just how new it is lacking some songs and surprisingly sometimes songs are removed but it has most stuff. And you get 2 day shipping and all those other services from amazon so it’s hard to go wrong

New Changes Sucks. Can’t skip, doesn’t play the song you select. Always prompting to use unlimited. Was great before now I can’t deal with this.

#tagthedevs. Hey devs! If so many songs weren’t in unlimited you would make a ton more money. Like come on legends never die is in unlimited! LEGENDS NEVER DIE IS MY FAVORITE SONG IM GOING BACK TO YOUTUBE FOR ONLINE LISTENING!!!!

Last update ruined the app. The shift to shuffle and limited skips is garbage. I’m deleting the app just like I did to YouTube music when they did the same thing. If I have to pay more, ill switch to Spotify because it has a better music selection. Up yours Amazon.

Meh. Spotify is so much better! I’d you play a song, Spotify will continue to play music that is similar. Prime just loops the same song over and over. Also I already pay for Amazon prime so why does it cost more for unlimited? Also I will have a song in a playlist that I listen too often then all of a sudden it’s an unlimited song and I can’t play it anymore! So I guess since it comes “free” with a prime subscription it ok because I have the benefits of buying stuff with no shipping fee as next day delivery etc. Hence the 3 stars. If you’re a just looking for a steaming service tho, don’t waste your money

It was great until they changed the configuration. It was an amazing service until the change to always shuffle and have limited times to skip. I’m already paying for prime. Paying extra for the music is ridiculous

Prime music. Because I don’t have ‘unlimited’ I have a hard time listening to music on my playlists. So frustrating!!

Why have a library 🤷‍♀️. Why have a library of your own songs when Amazon takes over and plays whatever they want! I will never buy into this!

Amazon Prime is worthless. I paid for Amazon Prime and I was getting as a benefit free Kindle and Amazon music. Now you no longer get these and you get to pay for them as a money grab. They changed a contract that I agreed to pay an amount for prime membership and perks and now the perks are gone!

Do not like automatic shuffle!!!. I will not renew my subscription to Amazon music as I can not play what I want since you have put my music in shuffle mode ( unless I upgrade to unlimited)…. This is not acceptable! I pay for a subscription and I can’t listen to the song I want!!!!! Spotify here I come!!!

Should include unlimited. Not all the songs are there and paying unlimited would be more expensive than Spotify.

New changes. This app doesn’t let me play the music I want anymore unless I pay a ridiculous monthly fee 👎🏻👎🏻

Sucks. Was good until they changed it. Now amazon thinks they know what songs I want to listen to. Don’t bother.

Used to be great.. This used to be my go to music app at work. I updated and now it’s useless. Can only listen to shuffled music. You select an album to listen to and it only plays three songs then it’s plays a “suggestion”. Sometimes you select a song and it plays something else. Useless. It’s just a demo to try to get you to upgrade. Well that backfired. I dropped Amazon Prime altogether.

Scam. Sneaky word play to imply that Prime subscribers get free music. That is a lie. Only unlimited subscribers get the music. Whatever. I’ll delete the app - but why trick me? I was sucker enough to buy your Prime membership, how much more must I give?

Already pay for prime. If I want to hear a song I have to pay. No thank you. I’ll go back to Apple Music. I already pay for prime. Now nothing I signed up for is included.

App is going backwards. You can not listen to a particular artist. In a recent change they play “ playing xxxxx and similar artists.” I won’t subscribe to a service that pushes what they want. Once again Amazon forces control on the consumer. One star because I have to.

Changes killed this app. I’m going to cut to the chase, this was awesome and had all the music I wanted and then, boom. No more music from apple and amazon unlimited for an extra subscription to listen to any good music. Don’t waste time and money on here and go spend it on Apple Music or Spotify. Also, Spotify is 99 cents for 3 months right now so get on that.

Amazon Music Scam!. I wish I could give it a ZERO rating. I pay a monthly fee for Amazon Prime thinking that I have access to the music... Well... Need to PAY EXTRA for the unlimited version... with this one, you can never listen to the songs you really want and so the app will shuffle up "similar" songs for you... NOT WORTH THE ANNOYANCE! Save yourself the frustration and do not bother with it.

Wont let me skip. I have Amazon music and I went to a song then when the song was over it replayed and when I went to skip it it wouldn’t work then after tapping the button a couple time is said skip limit reached

It’s like a waiter who never gets the order right. If you go to a restaurant and order a soup and salad, and the waiter comes back with a bowl of oatmeal and squirrel meat, you’d be confused and upset. This is what this app has become: An incompetent waiter who gets the order wrong every time. After getting it wrong the fourth time, the waiter promptly tells you that you will need to pay double the price if you want him to get the order right. The big difference is that this waiter is greedily staring at your wallet, and couldn’t care less about your contentment because he is bloated and overflowing with cash. The latest changes to this app has made it extremely restrictive. As a member of the lower class prime persons no do longer have the privilege of selecting the song we like. This app shuffles the songs for the entire album. Select a specific song, and I am told I have to upgrade for that privilege. If the company was losing money, I would be more understanding. However, this is not the case. They have added a skip limit, meaning you can only skip 4 songs before you are stuck with a song you don’t want to hear. If I create a playlist, they “shuffle “ my list and add “similar “ songs from artists I don’t even like. I think they are using an algorithm to irritate people into either moving over to another music app or upgrade. I’ll be canceling my Prime membership. Very disappointing. Not worth the frustration.

All other providers are better. This came free with prime and I still want to cancel it. Their created playlists keep skipping songs saying that that selection is no longer available. Music is limited as well.

Update is terrible. The new update removes repeat, skip, and even specific song selection. May as well just listen to the radio.

I hate that they shuffle music. I hate that they shuffle music that I have not choose to listen to, most of the shuffled music is awful and I’d never listen to it. I pay for my subscription, I shouldn’t have to upgrade just to listen to the music I want to..

$$. I pay for Amazon prime and now I have to pay extra to get the music I want

Unless you upgrade the replay the same songs. I wish I never spent all that time making playlists on this app!

Amazon music. I am a member of “Amazon” I shop a lot on Amazon. My Amazon account that I pay for monthly shows that I have access to “Prime TV/Movies” along with “Amazon Music” and a few other options. It makes absolutely no sense that I pay for Amazon monthly. I have full access to “Amazon” (shopping) also “Amazon Prime” I recently downloaded “Amazon Music” and it shows me that I only have access to some music and I have to pay $10.99 per month in order to download all songs. You can make your own “Playlist” but when you’re on “Off-line Mode” (no data/wifi) you don’t have access to your playlist, You only have access to “Recently Downloaded” Your personal playlist you cannot access unless you are hooked up to Wi-Fi or data. I was a big fan of Amazon for the shopping and then I seen all the different options that come with Amazon. I downloaded “Amazon Prime” and I use that all the time as well. (I don’t have cable, I use Prime and Netflix) I recently downloaded “Amazon Music” and now I’m very disappointed with Amazon. It’s false advertisement. Considering shutting my Amazon account down. It’s false advertisement.

Crap service unless you pay $$$. As a premium account subscriber I used to have full service on Amazon Music. Now the service is crap unless I pay additional $$. Not a chance! My money will go to other service providers for music and not to Amazon. I am left with the feeling that Amazon does not care about me as a customer subscriber!

Why?. It may be good if you're into pop and top 40 but if you're into decent music your searches end up with no matches! Sorry

Not happy. Was on the monthly plan but can no longer afford it. The free version is horrible or broken. When I try to play my existing play lists it will only do random play. I can not pick a song to play. It will not let me skip songs either, really stupid especially on a song I don’t really like or am in the mood for. I understand the number of song would be limited for free but let me skip or change them at Least sheesh. Will have to find an alternate free source.

Worst Music App. It makes no sense that I have amazon prime and this app asks me to make separate payment for unlimited music. If you don’t want to pay, it plays random music for you and never the exact song you choose to listen to. That’s the deal breaker for me. I had to delete the App. Very useless and frustrating.

Very poor and worst music app ever. Even though having prime subscription we need to Pay more for unlimited music ? For real are you crazy will never use it and songs which are there are like old and super old looks like the app or music is created in leisure time for a name sake thing and offer it to people like a favour

Latest update is garbage. Used to be a good app but the latest update is garbage. I want to listen to the song I have in my library not a similar song. Why did they take away downloaded content. Now I have no use for this app. Getting Apple Music instead.

Not very much music. App works nicely. Very limited song selection...

There is no all music available. That’s why I give 4 stars.

Shuffle feature is the worst. The new shuffle feature is the worst thing ever. I want to listen to my playlist as I saved it but now with this feature I can’t. It might play one or two from my list then randomly plays whatever it wants to, songs not even on my playlist. I am removing the app and will be using spotify. Such a shame as this used to be my goto app for music.

Doesn’t work on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I installed this app but it didn’t work. After launching the app I see a dark screen with amazon music logo in the top left corner and i observed this message which is difficult to find as the font colour and background are dark in colour. Below is the message: Looking for Something? We're sorry. The Web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site.

App is Radio Stations You have No Control Over. Without paying for unlimited tier, this is just a glorified radio app. You can only forward or shuffle and can't replay or go back. What's the point of Liked Song? Playlist? Deleted.

I’m sorry… what?. Is Amazon Music not included with my Prime membership? It has an “upgrade” option to get unlimited ad-free listening but I have Amazon Prime. Do I for some reason have to pay extra for the music services? If so then I’m definitely sticking with Spotify.

Super annoyed. I have the prime subscription so why should I have to pay monthly more than 10$ to get premium? If you don’t have premium you only have around 6 skips and after that it will just play random songs. It used to work where you could skip as many songs as you want and actually listen to the songs you want to without premium but a few months ago it wouldn’t let me anymore. Even better they made the price higher each monthly for premium. The other thing is that I often can’t find the clean version of songs which is really annoying. It’s not worth it just get Spotify it’s so much cheaper for more things.

Used To Be Awesome - Now $$$$$$. Like everything else now a days, how can we get your money!!! I pay for Prime which includes Amazon Music… Well, pay $12 a month or we will restrict any music you search up, we will only let you skip 4 songs per 24 hr period. The algorithms are set so anything you like will put you to pay option… I’m so done with being a Corporate Wallet and a battery in the matrix therefore Amazon Music gets a huge 👎🏼 from me!!!

Fraud and greed. I can’t even listen my favorite playlist cause it’s mandatory in shuffle mode now…… even I’m already the Amazon prime membership and it’s not enough unless I upgrade to unlimited music membership…..

Stick it. Jeff B can stick this app where it's smelly and dark. Recently made it necessary to pay for millions of songs that used to be included with Prime. Now it's Amazon Music Unlimited. Share the wealth you greedy monger.

Spinning Wheel of Death, Network Errors, and Refreshing Fail. I want to love this so much but for what feels like years, I can never get my music to just play consistently without some kind of network error or random refresh or for it to just spin while loading until I close and open the app several times. Also, none of my other apps give me network errors or connection issues like this. I understand sometimes the signal is bad, but this happens even while I’m standing next to my wife router with full signal. I also get notifications while playing music that a song is unable to load, but I don’t know which song - how do I know which song if I’m on shuffle and you don’t tell me a title? Also, how do import my own music? I used to have the option but that seems to be gone after I really don’t want to change to another music streaming service because I do love the variety and catalogs of music.

Was great for a bit, now…. This was great for a bit. It had all the music I wanted and worked flawlessly. Now they charge for quite a bit of the music they didn’t before. Annoying, but I get it. What I don’t get is why the app crashes every other time I open it. I have to open the app, wait and see if it froze, or wait till it closes itself. Then I have to restart the app to use it. So far it’s only a two-try process, but it’s still annoying. Another new issue is the music stops whenever I get a notification or call. It doesn’t just pause the music. It completely closes the app. When I open it back up, it’s on a new random song. So if I’m not listening to one of my playlists, I have to search to find the song that was playing. Again annoying. Each issue separately wouldn’t bother me that much. All three together make me want to go back to Pandora. It has ads, but at least it doesn’t crash constantly.

Really really hope this app improves! And soon!. Recently upgraded to Music Unlimited, so the little issues with this app bother me more since I’m now a paying subscriber! Overall it’s fairly good but could be so much better with some improvements. First of all it’s buggy on both my iPhone and iPad, or works but not consistently all the time. Most irritating is when I’m listening at home and the leave the house the app loses my WiFi and even though I have a signal on my phone it just keeps searching, maybe for the WiFi… not sure, but it just gets stuck and I have to quit the app and start over, often losing the stream I was enjoying because it won’t let you jump back into what/where you were listening to. I LOVE the HD and Ultra HD streaming options in the paid app and that’s why I put up with the other issues that bug me. I seriously hope improvements can make this app one I love!

A simple issues needs to be fixed!. I’ve used this app several years and in many ways it’s the best. There’s one issue - occasionally a song is erased. This appears as a shaded entry in the playlist. It’s great the erased entry is at least indicated so I’ll know what’s gone - some apps just remove it. I understand licensing issues but I’ve never, not once found the erased entry completely unavailable - I just search and copy the other entry into my list. The question is WHY WAS IT ERASED / MOVED IN THE FIRST PLACE? It’s further a problem because you don’t know it’s gone until you actually view the playlist and see the shaded song title. It has to be at most a programming 101 exercise to when for whatever reason a title is removed just copy the remaining copy back into the playlist it was removed from and/text the member. Thanks in advance...

This app is becoming $ hungry.. I have had this app for what feels like forever. With the introduction of prime unlimited, features and music from my existing playlists have slowly been disappearing. It is to the point, that I can only play my playlists in shuffle mode. I can not repeat a song or move the toggle during a song to repeat it. Most of the music from my playlists are no longer accessible with out getting the unlimited package. I am going to start over with Apple Music, since our family already has that (I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of starting over). But this app is just stupid at this point. I already pay the prime fee, I’m not paying an additional $4.99 a month. It doesn’t have anything to do with the money, but everything to do with the principal. It’s only a matter of time before I won’t have access to any of the playlists. I’m going to just cut the cord. I no longer recommend this app to friends. It’s sad, because it used to be good.

Good music with a lot of choices. I really like Prime Music. They have lots of choices including many full albums. However, there are 2 downfalls: 1. The music stops if more than one device is playing. It didn’t do this before and it’s very frustrating. 2. They are obnoxiously persistent in trying to push their more expensive unlimited version. Often they will obstruct the ability to go directly to Prime Music—instead, making you opt out of the higher cost unlimited version. Several times, when I opted out of the unlimited, instead of directing me to Prime Music it would just take me back to the previous screen. I’ve been a Prime member for several years and it started doing this a few months ago. Prime Music is not a free service. There is a monthly fee. For that reason alone, they should make it easy to use and not try to force you to use the more expensive version.

Latest update. This app was great. I could listen to the music I liked and create my own playlist for my daughters for our car ride to school. I knew not all the songs I wanted would be included and I was fine with that. Now, with this last update, I can’t even listen to the music I want. I select a song from my own playlist and it plays what ever it wants. If you want to listen to the song again or start it over in the middle… nope. You have to have the unlimited plan now. Want to listen to a band you actually like, go ahead and search it. Try selecting a song you want to hear. You would expect it to play that song right….. well you would be wrong. You would think they would at least play a song by that band… again you would be wrong. Now I will tell you I like a variety of types of music, but if I am trying to listen to Linkin Park, I don’t believe that death metal is anywhere close to them. My wife has been trying to get me to switch music apps for a while now and this has been the final nail in the coffin for me.

App keeps locking, and inactive time too short. I wish I had chosen a different app to pay for all the music I own. The app constantly locks, and at some point, they changed the time limit for when the app stops and asks you if you’re still listening to something like 45 minutes to an hour. Since I work from home and try to listen to music all day during, this is really inconvenient. Especially since I’m paying the Prime fee to use it. Yet, they keep trying to get me to upgrade to Unlimited, and I doubt these inconveniences improve with the added fee either. I understand they have to pay for each play, but they could at least make you set a time limit yourself before playing rather than asking you so frequently. So many people work from home now, I can’t be the only person experiencing this issue. I’m sure it’s no less irritating if you’re trying to throw a party. I’ll take a commercial on Pandora and have the music continue without me doing anything over this crap.

Frustrating. As long as you are in a good service area it’s fine. However, the second it has a network connection issue it just gives up and stops playing music. Even if the song is already fully buffered! This is really annoying when driving through rural areas. It will randomly quit playing and pop up a modal window saying there was a network connection issue and to retry again later with a stronger connection. It does this when I have service and I can even watch the buffer continue to load in the background. Pressing play does not resume playing at this point, instead you have to skip the song to get it going again. When I’m working on a project in my shop I’m at the limit of my home WiFi. My phone will bounce around between LTE and WiFi. It seems to cause this app to just randomly stop playing. It doesn’t display a message saying why, it just stops playing. It’s always right after I get my hands dirty and don’t want to touch my phone. I mean, come on... 😕

How is this not better. I’ve been using the free version for some time and adjusted to the lack of good songs because I had a variety still. I mad my favorites playlist and shuffle that daily. Over 7hrs current. Now I obviously like these songs and have little to no reason to skip a song. The “Are you listening” prompt gets quite irritating every hour when I don’t want to take actions within this playlist. Extend the time frame or do away with it. Add a 10 sec commercial if it helps. Just upgraded to the free trial, mostly because I was bombarded with offers all day every day for the last year...Finally gave in. But on a side note, if I say not interested, could you give it a break til next month? I’m already hating the upgrade. My 7hr playlist will suddenly stop playing, currently playing disappears and I have to select shuffle again. Shouldn’t I have unlimited play? I know it hasn’t played through as I’ve restarted 3 times today in a short time. At this rate I’ll go back to free or another service for less fee.

pretty good but could use improvement. i love how most of the songs are available for me to use without paying for unlimited (i am both unwilling and unable to) but i have a few complaints. 1) moving songs in a playlist is hard. whenever you add a new song it goes all the way to the bottom and the only way you can rearrange things is remove them and add them back in the order you want 2) one song i had on the playlist (let’s call it A and the artist is B) when i searched for A, i could see it was by B and even when i saw it in the album i could see B’s name. but when i put that specific song (A) in my playlist, i could not see that the song was by B. it said “unknown artist” but it’s clearly known because it shows it elsewhere 3) sometimes the audio goes out, but it might be due to other reasons (my headphones, my family screaming in the background, or my internet connection). i think it’s mostly due to those reasons and not the app. however, when i leave the app for too long, the song that hadn’t finished starts over. 4) some songs on one album have lyrics shown, and others on the same album don’t?? why is that, why can’t y’all be consistent? not that big of a deal though otherwise it’s a pretty great app and i love listening to my favorite artists there without having to pay for everything

I like the app, but….. First, I like the app and the music access. Two issues: Please address the issue of the app crashing every 15 seconds when there is no WiFi or cell service. It is very annoying. It’s bad enough when there is no WiFi or cell service, but then add that my music app won’t work is just compounding it. And, yes, believe it or not, there are places on the planet that don’t have WiFi or cell service. And, yes, it does it in offline mode too. Plus, it’s not hardware related because I just got an upgraded phone and it continues to occur. Also, it continues to occur after the app updated. Second, I suspect it may not be Amazon’s choice, but if it is, please stop replacing the radio versions of songs, the ones that are so well known, with obscure live versions or recording variations that don’t have the same tempo/cadence as the one heard most, be it live or recorded. Thank you.

Solid music app. Could use a more extensive selection of songs; a few soundtracks I would love to be able to put in playlists are missing, although they are fairly obscure. The soundtracks to Holloknight and GATTACA, for example, can only be found as piano covers. The algorithms in the radio stations run the same few songs over and over again. And the app quits, oftentimes, with a direct connection in the car. The music stops, and a check of the phone shows that the app has closed itself out. The car is as likely to blame as the app, in these situations. But, all that being said, there is more than enough music on the app to satisfy an audience of even the most eclectic tastes. I have been able to find new music I love on here, and have very much been enjoying using it for the past couple of months.

Buggy. First of all I want to be clear that I’m reviewing the app not the service, the subscription, or even specifically the overall song selection which on a sidenote I’m quite happy with. Overall the app is pretty solid and allows you to explore different music and now you can do podcast and videos which is a nice ad on but I primarily use it for the music. The search function could be a little more comprehensive and user-friendly but it’s not bad. The main reason I only gave it three stars was because it’s so buggy! Almost every other time I open the app and start playing music and lock my phone and walk away from it to either go work out or if it’s in my car, the music suddenly stops because the app just closes randomly. This gets super frustrating because it happens so often. This happened on my iPhone 11 and is still happening on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. This is not a new problem that I have encountered and I’m surprised it hasn’t been fixed yet.

It’s Great, But..... I love the app and I’m so happy to finally have an app to get all my music, my only complaint is that they don’t have every song I want. Like some of my songs I understand why they don’t have, they’re not from a super famous artists, but then there’s others. One example is the song Tonight (I’m Loving You) by Enrique Iglesias, I cant find it, and I do understand it’s not the original version of what I understand but I don’t get why it’s not there. Like with Enrique there’s some other artist that the one song I wanted from them isn’t there (ex. Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing, by Set it off). And the worst of it isn’t that the song just isn’t their. It’s that there’s always some weird parody of the song that doesn’t sound good, this is my one complaint, so if they’re could be a way to possibly request songs to add to the carts library of music it would be perfect.

One star. I believe that you guys can send better music you send one or two hit songs of an artist but the rest are songs that nobody real has really ever heard of I’ve tried different artist and this happens with all of them also to the way the screen looks and how to navigate is not very user-friendly at least not to me I think Apple is much better only they are more expensive that’s why I don’t use them and I also see that you are raising your prices so I probably will not continue past my free three months thank you again sorry you asked me for a review and that is it while it may be really good for others for me it is not I am 58 years old so maybe that may be a factor due to my age but if you wanna reach a bigger audience you may want to make it more user-friendly background is too dark I don’t know what it is with these dark black colors dark purple colors simple is the easiest way to go and play more hit songs not just a few and then give us a bunch of songs that nobody even really knows or remembers

They should be able to get it right!. For one of the largest companies in the world they really should be able to figure this out and have the best working product; but they haven’t. The app easily gets confused, disconnects from or won’t disconnect from my Alexa powered speaker. It then says that you have multiple connections to the app and won’t disconnect properly. I have to do a series of steps to straighten it out. Just like Apple; I really don’t think real people test out their own product enough. I don’t use Apple Music so I don’t really have that to compare the two and that’s why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. When I’m on my WiFi at home (even after I deleted and reinstalled the app like they told me to do) the music sometimes speeds up like chipmunks or slows way down (usually at a really good part of the song). From my point of view; the technology is there enough for the music to pre-buffer if you will; so that it is guaranteed to not change speeds like that. It’s okay but I don’t think I’ll keep it much longer.

Previously great, currently not so much. Love this app and use it regularly with my bluetooth in my car since i drive alot. Since the last update, it seems they have limited the number of suggested songs for you. Before, i could open that section and keep hitting the show more button and then play through the list of 200+ songs and find new songs i like. Now, it shows maybe 50 songs and doesnt allow you to show more. Another major gripe for me is when someone calls me while connected to bluetooth while the music is playing, the sound changes until i exit out of the app and restart. If i do not do this then the music sounds like i am listening to it through a phone call. Similar to music playing in the background of a phone call when you are placed on hold. Happens everytime and it gets old having to clear the app out of my background and restart it after every phonecall. This didnt occur until the latest update so I hope its fixed. Would have gave 5 stars prior to this

Badly needed feature. I like to shuffle all of my more than four thousand songs so that I always get a really varied listening experience, and I do listen a lot. It would be really cool to be able to play two or more album tracks together regardless of circumstance. That is, these tracks from an album are always played together in one particular order regardless of whether the rest of the music is shuffled or not. Examples: The Beatles” Sgt. Pepper... is always followed by “With a little help from my friends”. Also, from the first Allman Brothers’ album, “Don’t wantcha no more” is always followed by “Cross to bear”. XTC’s “Summer’s cauldron” should always be followed by “Grass”. Pure Prairie League’s “Falling in and out of love” should be followed by “Amy”. That would be a really cool feature and would make my listening experience perfect. As it is I had to make a Connected Songs playlist in order to listen to these sequences the way I prefer.

New User Interface is horrid. Ive never felt compelled to leave a bad review but this new update is so bad. I wish they would tell you what you’re updating other than just “bug fixes”. I don’t think changing the entire way the app looks counts as a bug fix. Up until about 6 months ago I had no complaints with the app, and then they changed the UI the first time. I didn’t like it but I learned to live with it. They randomly this morning the way the whole album section is designed changed. You can press a filter to change the album layout back to whats close to the old version, but it doesn’t save when you leave albums and have to press it again when you come back. Also now when I click on an album it shows me the whole thing and not just the songs I have downloaded. Again, you can filter it to just show you downloaded music, and again it resets as soon as you leave that album to go to another one. Please for the love of everything revert this update and tell us when you’re changing the app for things no one asked for.

Like it. So far it’s working out well, I do like the Alexa feature, but it doesn’t work when my iPad isn't active so you still have to push buttons. LOL. So far I’ve been able to find all the music I have been looking for, time will tell, can’t give them five stars because there’s always room for improvement in the structure of the app. For example if you go to play Lady Gaga, it will only play the same four songs over and over until you actually go and open it up and make them play the full playlist, that seems like a waste of time, who would ask to play Lady Gaga and only want the same four songs? Should just give u the full list right off. Some of the other controls and features take a while to hunt and peck to find as well, some work on the user-friendly interface wouldn’t hurt. Overall for the music that I listen to, I don’t find the monthly subscription fee overly excessive. I will continue to enjoy your product. Thank you

Great selection, not so great app. I have unlimited and recently songs have begun to stop playing midstream or won’t play at all till I restart the app. I also can’t find anywhere in the app that shows all new music for a given genre that was released that week. The “new “ section shows a dozen albums that update every few weeks. Go to Apple Music and you see front and center Released this Week. I also find it useless to have my most recent albums buried under the top podcasts of the week. I have never listened to a podcast on this app I just want to get to the music, but I have to sift through marketing on an app I pay for. You have to go into a new menu to dislike a song so it doesn’t play on a station again, since the station algorithm plays the same songs over and over you need to be able to mark songs you don’t like easily. Lastly when I play an album I was recently listening to it will shuffle the order of the tracks even though it’s not on shuffle. I have to search and restart the album to play from beginning.

Omg I love this app. This is probably one of the best music apps I’ve ever bought! It connects with my Alexa’s, my family loves it. We all use it, this app is so worth it! I use it most of my time, when I work out and when my and my family go on trips. The podcast that we’re added are great. I love being able to use this app, but I always worried about downloading songs. I love listening to music 24/7, so if some reason the internet is down or we’re going on a long trip through where no service is, or on plane flights, this is awesome to use. There is stations that play off the songs you like and give you more stuff like this, the more music I find the happier I am. Through sometimes the app struggles trying to find the music and artists, it’s still and amazing app and I totally recommend 👍🏽👌🏽

Unlimited too expensive. I have had this app for a couple years now and I use it almost everyday. It has the songs I love and the layout of the entire thing is simple and easy to use. But the music unlimited is driving me crazy, I get it you want more of us to pay even more money to listen to more music I got the message. But it is really messed up when you take away our songs. What I mean by that is one time I was listening to Get free by Major Lazor for a couple months and one day it wouldn’t let me play it anymore, it’s been moved to unlimited. This wouldn’t be huge except for how expensive unlimited is ON TOP of my $130 Prime membership. Last I checked, it was all or nothing, only two people in my family use prime music so I don’t need any more than 2 users but it’s nothing or whole family for almost $20/mo with taxes. I’m just not having it. I’ve cancelled my auto renewal for prime and I just refuse to give them another $1 at this point.

Great app - Minor improvements still needed. Overall, the app functions well and the music selection is fantastic. I have yet to search for a song that I could not find. A couple of small improvements that could make this app 5 Star for me would be: Ability to sort the song orders on the playlists I create. Always having the first song I put on the playlist is not ideal. I would prefer to have the last song added on the top and the first song added on the bottom, that way I hear the newest music first. Other sort filters could include sort by number of times played, release date, and of course date added. Another needed improvement is that when a song is removed, rather than just sitting grayed out on my playlist, the song should be replaced with a working version of the same title and artist (ie replace the removed Everything I Need by Skylar Gray with a working version of Everything I Need by Skylar Gray).

I miss the previous version...a lot.. This latest revamp doesn't feel like an improvement. Shuffle is broken - it only shuffles the songs after the one selected in the list order, not the entire playlist, unless you start with the first song. So you better set the first song to one you like! And shuffle no longer stays on once I turn it on. EVERY time I choose a new song I have to reset shuffle back on. That needs to be fixed ASAP, as it just started behaving like this after latest major version update. I also don't like that the recently played list no longer has a way to "view playlist" or see any options related to the recents. You can only play again. Dumb. Why'd you get rid of so many good features with this version? I'm sad. Please fix it.

The “New Coke” of music apps. A change made in Fall of 2022 resulted in making what was a fantastic music service for Prime customers into a marketing ploy to drive the Unlimited service. On the old platform, music from a selection of artists was available for listening and download with no restrictions on the order and manner in which or the number of which tracks could be played. With the change, you may select a track for an artist but the app, in shuffle mode, may choose to play that song or a completely different one. Also, instead of being able to listen to available selections for a single artist, the app shuffles songs from the same or maybe even a different genre, at random, all while displaying the marketing promo for Unlimited. Even music that I have purchased cannot be played in the app without falling into the “if you only pay us more” shuffle algorithm. I guess Bezos needs more revenue for his yacht or his space enterprise. Unfortunately, customer delight has suffered and value for the money that I pay to participate in Prime, reduced.

Daily app for my daily jams. Better than other streaming services.. Downloaded anything I wanted with no issues. Being able to download music makes it great for not using data when out and about. Ive downloaded over 12 GBs of music on my phone and the sound quality is great, and in many cases, much better than streaming services. The UI could use a little work and I wish my offline playlists could be copied to an online playlist. That way I could use the playlists I normally use easier with our fire stick or Alexa. Occasionally, licensing expires for music and it can become unavailable. It doesn’t matter how popular of a song it is, it can happen. Maybe a warning could help this be less of a surprise or maybe it could let you know when or if that music becomes available again...

Just a bug fest. The app was fine but after the most recent update using this app is the most frustrating thing you’ll do all day. If you’re music pauses to load it either will just stop playing and you can only play the same song on repeat or you have to change the playlist or station completely. Or if it plays the same song and you try to skip it, it will just pause whatever song you’re on. It is the worst when you are driving to the point that it is almost unusable. Also, it will continue to suggest the same music or podcasts no matter how many times you ignore podcasts or don’t click on a playlist. They used to have community playlists which I enjoyed listening to but now those aren’t available and anytime I try to listen to any I have saved it returns the most annoying error message that you have to close about 15 times before you can do anything else. This app was fine before the update but now is actually trash so I just wish they would take it back.

LOVE THIS!. I’ve been skeptical about all the different ways to spend my money online and through social media. I’ve had more negative experiences than positive ones. Negative: my grandchildren moved 250 miles away from me. Positive: last weekend was the most enjoyable trip I’ve ever had to Oklahoma City because I was able to choose the songs, CDs, and or artists of my preference. Albert Einstein‘s time space continuum went out the window and I traveled from Fort Worth to Oklahoma City in about 30 minutes. I really can’t tell you how any other music platform compares because this is the first one I’ve tried but I sure do like it. Update: One year later & Im canceling satellite radio... This is all I need... Bummer, driving through he mountains caused lost signal with AT&T; one point for sat radio, but not Amazon’s fault. Have since learned off line mode... 5 Stars.

Playlist Problem. It deleted my playlist. It took me so long to make that playlist and find all those songs. Me and my mother are looking for a way to recover it but I am extremely unpleased with the fact that yall just decided "Hey, let's ruin this persons day and delete their playlist". Well actually it deleted two playlists. One being eight hours and the other being four. I was in tears because that music is what made me happy. That music is what made my day even a little good. The only thing that I could go to when in a bad mood. But it just got deleted. Wow guys... I really hope there is a way to recover it or a way you guys can. But I am very unhappy that you guys did this. Please don't do this to anyone else. Because honestly, it's almost 2024, people hate life, and they need music. So please don't do this to anyone else. Any age, doesn't matter, they could be 12, or they could be 40, just don't do this...

Almost great. I like having music whether I'm on WIF or offline. Tons of songs, artists, etc. My issue is after I've created a playlist - I can't change location where the song is in the playlist. I now have favorite songs I'd like to slide up higher in the list but since they were added last....I can't. I have to create a new play list :( There are times where I want to hear certain songs but the only choice is shuffle. Why can't I press a song & slide it up or down? It would be nice to also copy & paste same song in same playlist to hear it twice. Can't do that either. *Note - after having an awesome offline playlist for almost a year, I went I to the app and got a message that my playlist had expired! Had to start all over downloading my online music (playlists were not the same). Both my iPad and phone had the same issue a couple months apart. SO, make sure your online playlist has the same music you want offline.

Overall pretty decent. I like it so far. I kind of think it’s wack that there’s an additional fee on top of the prime membership fee- but the app has most every song I’ve looked up so far. I would say- I think that I don’t care for the mixes they produce. Maybe it’s me, but I find the platform a little challenging to use to narrow down recommendations based on my specific tastes. I really liked how pandora does that. However- one of the main selling points for prime music was we could hook it to our echo dot and basically just ask Alexa to play us any song at any time. It’s great! I also love it because when I’m in the car using my Bluetooth, I can just leave the app open on my phone, set the phone down, and just ask Alexa to play me whatever song I wanted to hear. Much less annoying than random stations or pre making playlists. So that’s the main reason I stay- Alexa is far superior and I gotta be safe while I’m driving 🤷🏼‍♀️. Hope this helps!

Need to fix this no-audio bug ASAP. For over a month now, when listening to music on any Bluetooth device the app stops playing the audio when switching between artist’s, albums, or playlists. It still shows the audio timer as if it’s playing but with no audio. I’ve updated the app, disconnected and reconnected to the Bluetooth device, restarted my iphone, nothing else I can think of to troubleshoot this. It is clearly a bug within the app that was introduced recently(has been working for years without this issue). Other than that, the app is fine, other than the fact that it sometimes doesn’t seem to work very well when playing my downloaded music in offline mode-also a very bug issue I have with this app as my music is not accessible after taking the time to download it.

Problems keep it from being great. I like to download music; this is because I’m not always on wi-fi, and still use an iPod Touch. The problem is there doesn’t seem to be a clear way to delete downloaded songs from the device. This causes bloat as songs that I no longer want downloaded are seemingly stuck. Another issue I have, that honestly isn’t as major, is that if I try to update a downloaded playlist instead of overwriting the existing downloaded version it makes a new numerical numbered playlist (so it creates a “playlist 1” instead of overwriting the playlist there) Not as big of an issue since playlists can easily be deleted, it’s just annoying. I’m also strangely getting different suggestions in the web version than I am in the app; I do like both kinds, I just can’t figure out why these are different and why I can’t get the suggestions I’m getting on the website in the app. This is because the ONLY suggestions I’ve been getting in app are alternative, which is okay, but is far from the only bands I listen to.

Good but needs a few tweaks. In general, I like the app. I agree with a lot of people that complain about the music you have to pay for. It is annoying. But I don’t find too many songs that I’m looking to play fall in that category. What does annoying me is… When I am playing a playlist that is random play, I can’t see what songs are coming up. Even though it’s one of my playlist, I want to see the sequence from the random. I would like to be able to do that and maybe rearrange them a little. There is no sorting of songs that you put in playlists. The only way you can view the songs in a playlist is sequentially in the order you put them in there. There needs to be a way of rearranging them by artist or album or something. After I put a couple hundred songs in a playlist I want to see what’s missing and it’s hard to do when there’s no sorting available.

Mediocre. This app, generally has done a good job in allowing me to organize my music, and find new music based on the genres I downloaded though lately it’s been pushing modern edgy and cringe content like Justin Bieber or Young Thug. Their are constant updates and reformats, you have to reorganize such music over and over again. In the last update I could not configure my music to where I wanted it to in my playlists. Also, and this is a mild inconvenience, it constantly barrages you with questions every few times you open the app. They say this app is an easy to use app, which is mostly true, but every update changes the face of the app and almost breaks it. It does have a easy and quick music download, which enables you to hear it all offline, after you switch it to offline mode; offline mode is one of those pointless reformats that weren’t there when I got the app. It is very mediocre for having to pay a monthly fee to get the good music.

Great, except one big problem.. Update: Now I can’t listen to music I like, because it plays similar songs instead of the album I choose. What is the benefit of that? If I want to listen to radio, I will select that. Wow. Big disappointment in the update. Took away my ability to choose the music I like. Not a service I really like any more. Glorified radio with no adds, not a music selection service without paying even more than I already do. Every time I start listening to music, I know in the first song the music will suddenly stop. Sometimes it kicks me out of the app entirely, sometimes it just wants me to see the pop up with the unlimited purchase option, and sometimes it asks for a rating. Unfortunately, that caused my rating to drop to 3 stars instead of 5. So frustrating to have to restart EVERY time! Maybe putting this review in will help?

Music quality A++ but a few fixes would make it 5 stars. The good: pretty broad selection, lots of ultra-HD, and the sound is great. The medium: some of the ultra-HD of old classic rock has been remixed. In some cases this is good when some bass has been added back in that wasn’t possible in the original due to the dynamic range limitations of vinyl. In some cases the bass is a little over done, but still probably a little better than the original. In other mixes, it just doesn’t sound quite right, since the original art was the product of the musicians and the mixers at the time. When this happens, the feel is similar to watching a colorized veesion of a classic black-and-white film. Needs work: The user interface is clunky; search often misses songs you’re looking for,so you have to try different ways of getting to what you want, and when listening in the car, the iPhone app hangs when you lose service and often doesn’t resume playing once you have service again.

Getting worse each update. I’ve been using this app for several years and I appreciated the free music since there are quite a few music apps that are very expensive to use and I hate the radio. However over the last six months the app has started to constantly have a static in the middle of the songs that borderline blow out my speaker or my eardrum. I never know when I’m unexpectedly going to have to shift over to a new song because the current one will no longer play. This started out to be extremely rare but has now become more and more frequent. I also really do not like the new CarPlay mode being the default mode when you start the app and having to exit in order to have actual control of what I want to listen to. I just did the most recent update hoping it would’ve fixed at least the static issue but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it has so I will be forced to find a different music app.

Switching songs. It’s a good app I get to listen to all kinds of music from Lori hip hop to five nights at freddy’s songs but I’ve noticed when I’m listening to music I’ll be a few seconds to a minute in and it will randomly switch songs when the one I was listening to didn’t end the weirdest part is I’ll be listening while on a different app and this happens I’ll go into the app and it says I’m still on the song I started with when I clearly have been switched to another it quite annoying but overall good app for a lot of occasions like editing a video, swimming in the pool, drawing, car rides, and all kinds of things I would’ve given five star if that glitch didn’t exist I would be happy if the glitch could be looked at and possibly fixed…if you read this far thank you for taking time out of your day to read this review😊

Area To Improve. Offline playlist setup not as user friendly. Please improve your service because internet connection is sometimes unreliable. Also, it would help a lot when I am on airplane mode. Thanks. You need to add better dialogue with your user when he accesses different pages. I am left guessing because many of the subsequent steps are hidden. Keep testing your system and analyze the clicks of your new users and trace the ways by which you could make your app friendlier. Please. September 1, 2019: I noticed improvements. Thanks. Invite communities of testers. From teenagers to parents to seniors, let them navigate your dialogues when selecting songs to downloading them while on offline mode. You need to learn from their mistakes thus allowing you to design your improvements where it is needed. More needs to be done. You are not there yet. Good luck.

What’s going on with this app??. For the past few months now, I have been experiencing an issue where songs that I added to a playlist suddenly are no longer found. I have autoplay enabled so when a song that is not found is next, the app just stops and then I get a message that I can download the song again or start fresh but neither option works. It is not just one or two songs either. What is wrong and when will you fix this?? It is very frustrating and I think I have been more than patient waiting for months now before complaining via this bad review. I am paying good money for this app, so I expect it to work properly. This app would be awesome again but I cannot give you 5 stars until you get this fixed or tell me what I can do to fix it myself! PLEASE HELP!!

Changes. I was very content when I first downloaded prime music, now… I’m pulling my hair out half the time I’m trying to listen to anything! Sometimes it will play three songs and repeat the third one over and over forever unless I stop it and actually select another playlist then go back to the original one. Next is why oh why can I not deselect shuffle unless I pay extra for it? That is just utterly ridiculous!! If I’d have known I couldn’t stop that when the format changed I wouldn’t have done it. Next is the ability to skip songs… again I can but only a certain number of times… unless I want to pay extra for that small privilege. Lastly why is it that I select an album that I’ve downloaded or a playlist I have created, listened to and few songs and then BAM, here is 30 minutes of music that I’ve not ever listened to much less downloaded and there it is coming through my speakers. I really hate to say it but who ever is responsible for this mess has screwed up a great thing!

Awful money grubbing crap as always. This app is absolutely awful. I have been using it for years. First, every other time you open the app it tries to trick you into extending your plan, which it will then auto charge you for whether or not you accidentally hit the button that they make magically appear beneath your finger. Every other time you open the app. The radio or channels or whatever you want to call it will play only the same handful of song over and over. And surprise it’s the ones they make money from. They force it on people. They tell children what to buy so it helps them make their company more money and controls the future interests of the next generation. Their playlists will delete songs you add randomly. They only care about programming that makes them money. Nothing else is done right. And now they have deleted the songs WHICH I HAVE SPECIFICALLY PAID FOR. I guess the more they act like this the more they feel in control.

Still a few basic features missing.. Playlists that auto switch to offline content when connectivity fails to meet streaming needs. Generated playlists of content based on listening preferences and played tracks (hint if I listen longer, I like the music). Simpler switching between Alexa devices, Bluetooth, airplay etc , right now I have to push the disconnect button to get the Apple contextual menu to change BT devices. And lastly, better discoverability of the music I’ve added to my account based on my premium account. It’s difficult to find all the tracks I’ve added to my account in the past 6 months etc. Also some sort of iconography to let me know when an interrupt of audio will happen. When u tap on a station it immediately switches, but when you tap on a playlist you get a contextual menu. This means that whilst DJ’ing with the app, you have to know where the stations are vs the playlists to avoid gaps in music.

Bittersweet. I like that this comes with Prime, but I don’t like that the algorithms need more improvement. I end up listening to songs that have very little musical similarity to the song or type of music I choose. Also, at the Home Screen, I am bombarded with a bunch of stations and lists that are piled on top of what I really want, and that’s my recents first. “Stations You Might Like” and such, change every time I listen to a different genre, which makes it hard to explore. I’ll listen to Christmas music one day, and Christian or classical or EDM another day. Every time I change it, all I see suggested is music from the last genre I listened to. It’s like the app thinks I only want to hear what I last chose, instead of seeing that I like ALL kinds of music. I do like the Soundtracks and Discovery Mixes, except that I have never liked pop music, save for a song or artist every once in a great while, and yet it always seems to infiltrate my listening. If I don’t search or listen to Billie Eilish or Post Malone, please stop pushing it on me.

Getting Greedier. This used to be my favorite music app. I’ve been using it for 6 or 7 years. Some songs were blacked out unless you had unlimited. But fine. You started sneaking in changed with “updates”. Then within the last year it changed to you had 6 skips only and most songs were blacked out. You could listen to a playlist based on the song when you clicked it but not the song. Well with the most recent update ALL SONGS are like that. And skips are limited in every single playlist including your “songs” playlist they didn’t have a skip limit before. I get it. You want people to pay for Unlimited. But what about us prime members? Who’ve already paid for prime and I won’t get started on the perks that went away there. And this is the most expensive unlimited subscription for music out there. You’re not going to get more people to pay like this… you’ll just run more people away.

3 star app Begs for a 5 star review. Overall, the app is okay. I can find most music I want. But it is hard work to use. You can't add songs from one playlist to another. if you have it in offline mode and no internet connection, it still has a pop up that tells you to go into your WiFi settings and turn it on, which is annoying. It's difficult to delete music from your phone, you have to delete each individual song, there isn't select option to delete multiple songs. It's tricky to understand exactly what is offline and online. And even if a song is offline and down a loaded, if it is on a playlist that isn't flagged as "offline" it won't play. If you download a pre organized playlist, you can't edit or add new music, you have to add the playlist to the queue, add songs, save it as a new playlist which can crash the app. So while it's functional, it's not the most convenient.
