This app is poopy. You will never get any rewards with this app!! It took me a couple years to earn enough points for a gas giftcard (~10 stays), but anytime I try to redeem my points it just asks for more and more of my personal info. If you give it and do every single thing it asks, you will just get the pinwheel of death when you try to redeem your points for a simple $25 gas card. Btw the points I earned from their promotion would have been a $50 gas card, but of course I got the pinwheel of death back then as well. Basically I have wasted about 7 hours of my life trying to redeem these useless points for a little bit of gas. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the hotels they have, save one… the “Clarion” about an hour north of Atlanta should be condemned. Also, I’m pretty sure you can’t use foul language on here as the first title I put for this review got it canceled immediately. I have never reviewed anything in my life, if that tells you how frustrated I am with this app.

Service. We were booked to stay in two Comfort Inns & Suites back to back. We stayed at the one in Daytona however the service was terrible. I have disabilities and cannot climb stairs or carry luggage. We asked about a luggage cart and was advised they had one for the entire hotel. 4 stories. They did not offer any help or try to locate it. When we left that afternoon and the next morning it was still no where in sight. Also their continental breakfast was a bag with a sausage biscuit and juice. No creamer for the coffee. We were told they ran out the day before and didn’t get any more. When we left and went to the Comfort Inns & Suites in Miami at the airport it started all over again. No luggage carts. We were not the only customers looking for a cart. When we went to check in the service was even worse. As a matter of fact she was too busy getting a bottle of water than helping us. I called Choice and was on hold for over 35 minutes before hanging up. We cancelled our reservation and booked in LaQuinta right down the road. They had carts, continental breakfast and furnished additional pillows and towels without being requested. We thoroughly enjoyed the check in. I hope all your customers will do the same. It’s sad when people in services do not realize that the customer is why they have employment and deserve some respect instead of being treated as a nuance. Jerome Poole

If I could leave “0” stars I would. What a sham! Unhelpful, and all you get is a run around. My honeymoon cruise has been canceled due to COVID, and while attempting cancel my hotel reservation because of this I am unable to have a refund issued when it clearly states that I can in my confirmation email. They’re telling me it’s up to the hotel to issue a refund and apparently they hotel will not issue a refund either that the “General Manager” of Comfort Inn and Suites needs to approve this but won’t be in until Monday and to call back then. So because this pandemic that is considered an “act of nature” and completely out of my control has caused my honeymoon cruise to be canceled (which by the way Carnival Cruise has offered a full 100% refund) but for my 1 night stay at this hotel I’m getting the run around and fingers pointed at the other as to why my refund can’t be issued.. That’s okay, keep my $125 but you will never get my business again and I will hope that I can detour anyone else who thinks they should use them, the only thing they’re good for is scamming you out of your money!

Terrible customer service. As an elite Diamnod member for years I am very familiar with how the app works. I made a reservation at the Cambria in DC for my family over the 4th of July holiday. I needed to adjust the dates and cancelled my reservation with the choice app and made a new reservation with the app. When I checked my credit card statement t the end of the month I had been charged for the day cancelled and called customer service to resolve the problem. I as told "the cancellation did not take" and the they would open an investigation to look into the incident and get back to me in a week. 2 months later the I have received no correspondence from choice hotels. Seriously considering taking my business elsewhere if this is how a loyal customer who spends thousands at choice hotel properties every year is treated.

Tigard Oregon quality inn scam. After 3 hours Megan called to say I needed to reg my guests. I told her they are not here yet. She then very rudely said she would kick me out if I have anyone up there. I hung up on her. She then came to my door pounding like she was breaking in and informed me I was to leave and in 15 min she will police. She said i was being kicked out for being rude. I left and have posted reviews on consumer affairs and elsewhere. I have stayed at choice. Hotels 38 times tho year alone and have never been treated with such disrespect. To make it worse the hotel is refusing a refund. I gave a 5 star review weeks ago and was invited back by owner and this is greeting I get. Stay away from this hotel or if you must stay clear of MEGAN she will kick you out for being rude in her opinion although being rude seems to be. A requirement to work there

Unsure of Quality so far. Not quite UNDERSTANDING why Choice would keep a particularly horrible property, (that has received single stars out of a possible 5 star review, for OVER a solid year!) Why would you continue to send your clients/customers to this property when the property owners are doing NOTHING to change their customer service or the conditions of the hotel/motel???? Your customer service representative tried to send us there! Nope! I had read their reviews prior to calling!! So I ended up calling a Choice hotel across the street and booked a room there! (after your representative tried to tell me everything else “Choice” in this town was booked solid!😡 No it wasn’t!!!) Talked to people that were also Choice customers at a diner that morning and they had stayed at the Roadway Inn in Santa Rosa, New Mexico and they said it was DISGUSTING and very dirty!!! Really?! Why Choice are you continuing to send us to gross places?! Makes me question where else you may send my husband and I!!!!!

Excellent. Was a little questionable at first from being in other econo lodges. Once I checked in I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been at the econo lodge now for work for about 3 months. Since I’ve been here they have done tons of improvements. They have gotten rid of the carpeted rooms. HUGE PLUS!!! I went home for a week and upon my return I noticed they had laid new carpet in the hallways. Very nicely done. While here one day while at work, they changed out my old curtains for new ones as well as put new bed frames around the bottom of the beds! Kara the lady that is head of house keeping was amazing the first time I met her. I had an issue with my fridge. She took the old one out and put the new one in. For the next week she checked with me as to how the new fridge was working. The house keeping staff as well as the front desk staff have all been very accommodating to myself and my crew. As long as I’m working here I’ll be staying at this hotel.

Worst hotel ever!!!!. I would give this hotel a 1 star rating. From the rude man who called me and instead of him saying hello, when I answered my phone he states “ what do you want “ I said you called me. He then said he was calling to make a reservation at the Econo Lodge in Overland Park, Kansas. He then proceeded to tell me I had to pay more because I asked for a handicapped accessible room, I asked and he said because it was a handicap room. I told him to just give me a regular room. I also told him he was very rude. When I got to the hotel the man behind the glass was just as rude. My room was very cold and I did not get any sleep. I have another reservation for another date but I am canceling that reservation and I will stay at the Holiday Inn because they are not rude and the rooms are very clean and warm. Another thing wrong with the room was the bathroom. There was no place to put my clothes. The only thing in that very small bathroom was a toilet and bathtub/shower. You have lost a very good customer because you have rude and uncaring people working for you. Your loss is my gain. I would rather pay a little more and get clean warm rooms and polite people. Please do not waste your time. I stayed at the Comfort Inn and suites Virginia Beach-Norfolk airports and had a horrible time. To make it short the floor had old carpets with stains on them, A dirty microwave, hair dryer that was about to blow out, bathtub had hair in it, and the main problem was the AC unit. I first complained to the front desk agents and I just wanted to speak to a manager but the manager was apparently not wanting to talk to anybody because he didn’t feel like it so I called the corporate office and I talk to one of the agents. She told me that I can Choose 2 options: one I can get 2000 points which will let me book a one night stay or take half of refund from a resort. I chose the 2000 points so I can book a stay at a different resort but come to find out I couldn’t even use the points because what they want is more than that. It takes like 8000 or more to even book a room through the resorts. At that point I was fed up I called again asking them for a little bit more points and then they said they no longer can help me because the case was closed but it was on the terms of if I could actually book a room with 2000 points. I wish I can give this whole experience a negative star and I advised you guys to not waste your time.

Terrible experience. I have used Choice Hotels on many occasions for business travel. I booked a Hotel with points and cash. The morning of my arrival I was called by the Hotel, Inn at Capital Park in Sacramento California, and told they were overbooked and they would not accommodate me. I was in my car driving and asked if they could book me into another Hotel. I was told no. I asked to be refunded and was told to call the Choice Hotel program. I called to get refunded and was told they could not refund my cash and only could refund me in points. I was then told they had to transfer me to another department to do this. I was transferred and the person told me he could not refund my money or points because the Hotel Manager was not available to verify my cancellation?!?! I now have to call back when the manager is on duty. This is ridiculous. I work full time and travel a lot. I do not have time to chase this down. When I explained my dissatisfaction with having to call back the person hung up on me. I was not rude or unpleasant. I simply stated that this was a lot of trouble to be refunded for my inconvenience. I did not even receive an apology? Poor customer service!

Two-Faced Advertising. I just made a reservation. I’ve been a Choice Hotels customer for many yeas and have qualified for gold and platinum levels many times. The reservation app said the room reservation I was making was abke to be changed or cancelled for free. AFTER I made the reservation, up popped the statement that the period for changing or cancelling the reservation had closed!!!!!! Talk about two-faced advertising! Now, I don’t need to change or cancel my reservation, I’m just VERY upset that your app tells me one thing and then after you get my reservation, you tell me something 180 degrees opposite. VERY CROOKED BUSINESS! You need to fix this. Just like you need to get rid of your stupid commercial saying that goes something like BADDA BOOM BADDA BING. If I didn’t already use Choice Hotels, that commercial would ensure that I would never use Choice Hotels!!! I turn the channel whenever I see ithat commercial come up — kinda bad for whatever program that I stoppedviewing. Choice Hotels needs to get its act together and its head out of you-know-where!!!

Beware. I used to have good dealings with them. I always enjoyed the hotel I stayed at. My problems started when I was trying to book a reservation to use part points and pay the rest. I kept getting an “error” message and it said that the reservation did not go through try again later. I tried 4 times. Then I noticed 4 charges on my credit cards for points I called to try to get it reversed after explaining what was going on when I was trying to make a reservation. Needless to say one guy told me they could reverse all charges. I got disconnected so I called back again and the second guy says they can’t do anything about it. So here I am now in November trying to redeem my points for gift cards. I make 3 different orders and the order I made for 4 AMC gift cards were never delivered. I received the other two orders which were placed later. I make 3 different calls because each person tells me to call back in a week or two to see if they arrive and then they can help me. What it comes down to is on the last call they tell me that they’re not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. So now they’ve screwed me over a second time. I paid for all those points due to a glitch in their system and now when I go to redeem them and I never got the them their answer is basically,”screw you we’re not responsible if you didn’t get them.” Needless to say they won’t be getting my business anymore.

Modest Price for modest accommodations. I stayed for 10 nights and it was mostly comfortable. The daytime desk staff is very good. At night the new desk clerk seemed overwhelmed and was unable to answer my questions or help me. He said he was waiting for help to come but that didn’t happen ( they were supposed to call to help me but never did). The room was adequate and the beds very comfortable, however housekeeping only comes every other day. The were some mechanical type problems as well- we had a flickering light in our room and after repeated reports, finally just left it off. It was over the vanity so it wasn’t convenient. The elevator was broken for part of the stay as well and we had to exchange keys many times (more than half) because they didn’t work when we got back to the hotel from the hospital (where my husband was critically ill). All in all, great place for a couple nights, the price is right and you do get breakfast.

Sleep inn Oregon Toledo Ohio.. This is a party hotel marijuana was smelled all the way through the hotel the rooms were disgusting we tried to transfer to three other rooms and three other rooms were more disgusting than the one we were in when stripping the beds the next day before we left we found two Band-Aids that were not ours I felt bad because that night there was many other people in the hotel that night that were complaining because the smell was so bad both on the second and third floor those people should’ve been thrown out instead there was several people stay in one room with multiple people in the room multiple children the pool him over more than 40 to 50 kids and parents in there at one time there was no way I was letting my family go in there. My kids and I felt very unsafe as while I look to see if there’s other hotels that were available in the area at that time and there was not so unfortunately we had to stay the night there. The next morning there were some ladies there that were willing to help us in anyway they could one was names Laura but the manager of this facility is named Joe and he manages three other facilities and is not doing a very good job they don’t honor or follow their own policy you have to initial and sign documents when you come in . they themselves were not upholding to that! I will never stay there or recommend this place ever again shame on the manager joe.

PLEASE READ!!!!!. I am so fed up with having to argue with people that can’t speak English for points that I earned!!! I am a Diamond Elite member and I registered for their last “special promotion” that stated if you stay with them for 5 nights between Dec. 11 and Feb. 9 you will receive 10,000 bonus points. Well I checked in a Sleep Inn on Nov. 27 and checked out on Feb. 9th. I called them and first of all you won’t find out if you went through all of the hoops and traps they set for you until March 1st (that’s the date they will award the points) and apparently since I checked in on Nov. 27 and stayed for 94 nights instead of Dec 11 for 5 nights I don’t qualify for the bonus!!!! It’s never ending!!! Then he has the balls to ask me to sign up for their Visa card!! CHOICE PRIVILEGES CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS DISAPPEARED!!! I don’t know about y’all but I don’t have time to beg for something that is owed to me and I won’t do it anymore. I’m in a Wyndham Hotel as we speak and they are AWESOME!!!!!!!! If you choose to use Choice you just have more time and patience than the average man!!!!!!!

Very disappointed. I made reservations online due to weather conditions. I needed to stay close to my destination. I had to search to get someone to check me in. Got to my room it was very cold, the heat was not turned on. Went to wash my hands to eat my dinner. The towel had a black circular area on it. The blanket and sheets had a hole, which appeared to be a cigarette burn. In the morning I got up to shower and leave for work. I turned on the shower to hot. After 3 minutes it was still very cold. I let it run and turned the hot water on in the sink. The water got tepid. Checked the shower again and it was still ice cold. I was not able to shower and wash my hair. There was no blow dryer that I could have dried my hair either. I travel frequently for work and often stay between 1-4 days on a monthly basis. I will never book another room through Choice hotels. I know the cost was not that of a 4 star hotel, but I deserved a place that I could shower and be clean for the day. I WILL NEVER BOOK A ROOM THROGH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!!!!! I deserve at least half of my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed. I’ve stayed in this area many times. Usually at Cambria suites or Hampton Inn. Always great experiences ! I thought I’d give Comfort Inn a try. It was my daughters first time on vacation so i wanted to make a good memory. The room appeared to be clean until I went into the bathroom. There was tons of toilet paper in the toilet ! So how was the toilet cleaned if it wasn’t even flushed ?! The free breakfast was a big part of why I picked this hotel so my daughter could eat in the morning instead of going to a restaurant. She is 18 months old ,so seemed like it would be more convenient. We got to breakfast early and almost everything was gone! No milk , eggs were ice cold , no batter in the waffle station etc... I could go on and on! Didn’t even have water there to drink. They were understaffed and the one poor lady at the breakfast station was trying her best to keep up with the high demands of the many guests that were there to eat. Finally she tried filling the waffle batter , but machine broke & batter just all spilled out everywhere! So we’re leaving very hungry! I will never ever stay here again! Wasn’t even a bargain compared to the other hotels, so don’t waste your time here. Spend the extra $20 a night & get a way better hotel !

First Impression ok... down hill from there. Drive up, dust cars sitting in the parking lot... plus an unlicensed Mercedes!!! Than you walk into a nice lobby, but the greeting was cold and unpleasant by a young man. The first room we received on third floor was smoking! The hallway had a VERY strong smoke smell too. We went downstairs and asked a again for a NON- smoking room. The reply from the young man was” our whole” hotel is NON- smoking. We know, but we need a different room. We were placed in a handicap room. The room was clean, but for being newly remodeled... a lot of issues... for example holes still remind in the walls, carpet not tacked down, shower curtain rod pulled out from the wall, bathroom shower didn’t move... the list goes on and on. Plus it was missing all the flags. When inside the USA flag was only hanging on the wall 1/2 way. When brought to the manager attention... yes, we know. We don’t have a ladder tall enough to fix. Really??? Poor excuse! Will NEVER stay here again.

Fremont in Monterey. I’m giving them a four star and not a five, because the first time I stayed there they pretty much upgraded me to a suite a very beautiful very clean room. I had a wonderful stay I stayed by myself it was quiet it was just perfect. Two weeks later I stay there again, it was a nightmare. They gave me room 103, it’s a handicap room and it smelled like death. I immediately went back out and went and told the manager that the room had a bad odor in it. He then went with me to room 212 upstairs and the room smell like tobacco and I brought it to his attention. The room was a smoking room he said none of the rooms are smoking rooms and he couldn’t smell the tobacco in the room and he was short on rooms. From smelling death in room 103 to smelling tobacco to room 212 was an upgrade. I’d rather deal with Tabasco smell so I stayed then I find a cigarette burned on the curtain & the toilet seat and toilet cover burnt of a cigarette. Yes it was a smoking room. On the other hand, they do have coffee, juice and a few pastries for breakfast. The coffee is (great) especially now with this pandemic that most hotels don’t service anymore, they do. The staff over all is very kind and attentive. I am grateful for that.

New security for your accounts!. Joined almost two years ago and normally always enjoyed my stays and I do like to travel every now and then. Try to take advantage of their quarterly promotions they do but the big problem is my account kept getting hacked!!! Happened about 4-5 times in almost two years! They would Chang all my info besides my name. Email, address, phone number and password. They redeemed gift cards and free nights with my points I had accumulated. This last time they did that which has been close to a month ago, I called and thought I got it straightened out once again but found out the next day Choice hotels had terminated my account for fraud! Lost over 35,000 points and I called them numerous times but they tell me they can't do anything for me about it and if I want to open a new account I will need to give them a new email address, phone number, and mailing address. Good thing I never got a credit card through Choice if that's how they run their security for their online accounts! I will be staying through a different chain when at all possible!

Very Frustrating & Old Eye Unfriendly. I have been a Choice Hotels member for several years, accessing their website using computers. However, I downloaded this app because they are having a contest to win points that requires using the app. After successfully logging in, the app repeatedly asked me to choose pictures to verify that I wasn’t a robot. Given my age and “old” eyesight, it was a struggle, even giving up once, before I finally succeeded in proving I wasn’t a robot. I got to my account and it looked like everything was okay. However, even though the app said verification would be required only once, when I attempted to sign up for the contest, it again put me through the ringer to prove I wasn’t a robot. This time I repeatedly failed and gave up. I attempted it again the next day and finally again succeeded. Maybe they’ll send me points just for my trouble. Please make this app more senior and eye-friendly by changing your robot verification method. And please require it only once like the app says! Thanks!

Wonderful Stay at Comfort Inn. We just stayed at the Comfort Inn in Towson Maryland, the Baltimore area, this past Friday through Sunday. My family and I drove from southern Virginia and were really tired. This was our first time visiting Baltimore and it was the last weekend of our children’s Spring Break. We got there around 10 or 11 at night. We were offered an upgraded room with two beds, a microwave, and refrigerator in it, because our room didn’t have the thing we needed. The staff were very friendly and we also had a helpful demeanor. The hot breakfast in the morning was wonderful and delicious!!! They never ran out of food and it kept getting replenished by the staff from the time I got there and left. The housekeeping ladies kept our rooms clean and gave us extra things that we needed. They were also helpful with finding local restaurants in the area to eat. I will stay here again when I decide to visit the area. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back.

Priceline. We were traveling from Phoenix back to Toledo and were looking to book a room for our arrival. Went to choice hotels and had two choices to call front desk or book reservation. We went to book reservation quoted 91dollars. Upon checking out of hotel our bill was only 59 dollars. Called customer line they said we chose to go to Priceline to book room they got the extra money. You site directed us to Priceline when we choose make reservation. Our confirmation email and our charge made no mention of Priceline. Talked to two of your so called service reps and they said sorry nothing to be done here When my wife asked to talk to a supervisor She laughed and said she will tell you the same. So I guess choice needs my 30 dollars more than my future business. I am removing the choice app from phone and as we travel I will stay 20-25 nights with other hotel chains. I wonder if I will spend more than 30 dollars in the next five years on hotels. Your on line customer service is a zero but I had to give one star lowest allowed

Bloomsburg comfort inn. We recently have stayed at the Bloomsburg Comfort Inn many times over the last several months. Staying here has allowed us, extended family and friends to attend our daughters Bloomsburg women’s basketball games. The employees, Brandon in particular, have always went out of their way to make us comfortable, accommodating our needs without hesitation. They are caring, friendly and very professional. We chose this location because several years ago we had a similarly good experience. At that time, it was necessary for our daughter to have surgery. We came to Comfort inn for her recovery. The staff went out of their way to ensure she had what she needed and checked on us often. These experiences from truly caring staff goes a long way when you are away from home. I would, without hesitation recommend a stay at this location.

Best Hotel App on Earth!. Just wanted to say thanks for all the great service and wonderful stays my family and I have enjoyed across the country over the last 5 years. Being a traveling salesman and staying over 180 nights in hotels over just the last couple of years I can say with confidence that Choice Privileges App is by far the easiest and most enjoyable of all the Hotel apps by far! And wow that 5$ Starbucks gift card sure gets me going the next day Please keep up the great work and Seriously Your the Best. The couple of negative comments I read? Haha not even close to truth so its Obviously other hotel chains employees just trying to bring y’all down. I have used the others and Choice Privileges is in another world above the rest! Thanks Again and keep up the great job. Im a diamond member so you know how many stays that takes. I speak from experience with many many stays

Very very unhappy with issues July 11, 2018. On July 11, 2018. I and about 5 other people made reservations through the app. I got confirmation number to my email as verification that I had a room . I drove an extra 45 minutes to 1 hour to a hotel that had vacancies. When I got there We had no room. We called choice hotels customer service from the hotel phone. Once someone finically answered she and others repeatedly hung up on us and did not resolve our problems. One of the gentlemen was a diamond member with choice who will quit using choice. Needless to say we finally got rooms after waiting additional hours. The hotel owner came in and called all local hotels even other chains and finally got us a place to sleep through creative barging with long term residents. I think choice should fire the customer service department if the can’t help when multiple people call and they repeatedly hang up phone calls. Also, I think those of us that had issues need to be compensated for time and hassle. This is the why people leave choice hotels and never use them again. Needless to say I am still angry.

Check out July 5, 2021. My husband and I had an extended stay at the Comfort Inn in Mandeville, LA recently. Our son was dying of cancer and we were away from our home for nearly two months. This was understandably an extremely difficult time in our lives. We were immediately greeted by Fenil at our check in. He could not have been more accommodating and went out of his way to see that we were able to have the most reasonable rates and a quiet, comfortable room. After our normal checkout date, we were allowed to stay day by day, until after the memorial and we had arrangements made to fly home. During our last week’s stay, two of my husband’s sisters and their families came and it was arranged for them to have rooms next to us and across the hall. Every day, Fenil and Kaitlyn asked how things were going, how we were doing and if there was anything that they could do for us. They went above and beyond and there was genuine concern and caring for our family and situation. The entire staff was friendly and courteous and we felt totally comfortable and truly blessed to be at your hotel. Charlene and Robert Ware Sent from my iPhone

Comfort be on your expectations. I dislocated my shoulder and had to have my shoulder put back in place at a nearby hospital. Because of the medication I was not able to return to my original stay which was over an hour away. I chose the space for the budget and of course for the distance. When I walked into the space- I was pleasantly met with a kind gentleman at the desk 1-who already had all my information uploaded into the computer 2- already had my key ready to go and 3- had processed most of the information that I thought I would need to give him -he also asked me was I OK and if there was anything that he could do. I shared with him my story and he immediately made sure that I didn’t have to go far to my room. After that it just gets better. When I walked into the space not expecting much -because it is a budget friendly hotel and I’ve stayed at top hotels all over the world. . I was pleasantly met with space, comfort cleanliness, and functionality. To have a space to sit in and watch television and have a separate space to lay down without even realizing it was something that I needed. I didn’t use much of the space because of course I spent the entire night sleeping With my recently repaired dislocated shoulder-, but I wake up in such a space made me feel wonderful and acknowledged. Thank you comfort suites for what you’re doing it may be budget- but it is very very friendly.

Exception!. Traveling through, we stopped for the night. Although their reservation system was down, it was simple to make a reservation from their app. For our inconvenience of a 15 minute wait for our reservation to hit their system, we were given a beautiful room with a view. We ate dinner in their restaurant The Roasted Tomato. Service and food was wonderful. It appeared to be a small hotel diner, but the food and service was on the scale of a high end restaurant. We slept like babies! Had their free breakfast and it also was delicious. The wait staff was amazing; on their toes making sure everyone had fresh food. One woman even walked around with muffins fresh out of the oven and offered one to everyone saying “Pennsylvania love”. Would highly recommended and I’m a hotel manager! Kelli from Michigan!

Gave a three due to flood in bathroom from above.. Checked in for our handicapped room and they tried to change it to a second floor room. No explanations but as I am handicapped with legally blind we stuck with the handicapped option. After, another bit finally, we were given the room. About 8:30 pm there was a large flooding noise from the bathroom area. As we were tired and already in bed we got up to look and water was pouring out of the fan vent in the ceiling. We were moved to a non handicapped room next door. 3 am large boom and crash awoke us. Seemed to come from the room we had been in. Scary though. We still were able to shower in the morning too. Came out the door and in the hall outside that room, water, and ceiling tiles crumbling. Told the front desk and he didn’t even know about our previous night problem. He said they had a lot of rain ☔️, really?? There are rooms above that section. Have a video also of it. We were given a lunch bag for breakfast not continental option. We ate in restaurant the night before with no mask requirements. Pool closed also. They need to post that on their page.

Confront inn Miami springs garden. I’ve been a member with choice hotels now for over 3 years. Just recently I have had the worse service ever, me and my family reserved and paid for a room prior to staying there for 1 night only. When we got there they told us we had to pay a deposit of $165. on top of the $165 we’ve already paid. So we waited in the lobby for the manger over an hour just to tell us that there is nothing they can do. We then had to call the 1800 number. Which took 45 mins and finally they were able to remove the deposit. Because the representative said there is no DEPOSIT. So we were able to get the room that night. The following day we checked out. My family and I went on a 6 day cruise and when I can back confront inn charged me $185. for another room in which I never reserved or stayed in. They claim I reserved the room on Friday April 12 but that is impossible because my cruise started on a Monday and it was over on Saturday. So it is no way possible I would have reserved that and or stayed I wasn’t in the country. Ultimately they took my money and told me there’s nothing they could do about it. So now I’m out of$185. Please people take my experience into consideration before booking and or becoming a member. Because now I will never book with choice hotels EVER

CHOICE?? Becoming last choice!!. I have been an elite diamond member since 1999 so I have much experience with this brand. I have noticed many properties going down hill and the level of hospitality and customer service continues to get worse. I am continually getting locked out of my account and I always get the same excuses of " I am not sure why that happened and we are working on it." Always after 30/45 minutes on the phone, just to spend my money with these guys. It is very frustrating and you almost always have to speak with someone who doesn't speak English well and doesn't read it from their script well either. They do not listen to your problems, just trying to read from the script, and then to add insult to injury they tell you this lame lie that you have qualified for "an amazing complimentary vacation", which is actually an offer you pay for and stay in which ever hotel in the area is available so you can drive over to the " blue green property" for the time share sales pitch. This is a very insulting approach to sell something to your already loyal customers. We love having our time wasted, NOT!!!!! I hope Choice gets it together soon, but Marriott does not, as they are reaping the benefits of Choice's progressive short comings. I welcome any reply from Choice.

Wonderful Place to Stay. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Comfort Suites Albuquerque Airport. What a pleasant stay we had. We were greeted upon arrival by a lady whose name, unfortunately, I do not remember. She was very polite, friendly, and efficient. Then we went up to our room and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and modern. Everything was literally spotless! The room was very large with a very nice sitting area with a refrigerator and microwave. For the next three mornings we went down to breakfast and was greeted with a lovely smile from Jordan every single morning. He was very polite and friendly and was always busy. The breakfast was delicious! There was always eggs and sausage and sometimes an egg omelette with cheese which works really well with the bagels. I made a nice bagel sandwich every morning. Coffee was piping hot and strong. Just what we need in the morning. Housekeeping went in our room every day and made the bed and took out the trash and left us clean towels. This is one of the few hotels we have been to that still do that post Covid. My husband and I would definitely stay in this hotel again and we definitely recommend it to anyone reading this review. If you are uncertain as to whether or not to book, just book it! You won’t be sorry. Thank you to the management and team of Comfort suites in Albuquerque for a delightful stay. Will be back!

Poor customer service. When rate a 0 but thier is no option. The customer service employees do not have any respect for the customers. I made reservations online get to the place they can not even see that I made reservations. The hotel was good enough to accommodate me by giving me the same price which was wonderful. Speaking to an agent that charged my card for a reservation that I could not use he tells me I have no reason to be asking for a refund. Ok it is my money and I didn’t use the reservation because it disappeared. The hotel had to accommodate me not Choice. Choice is full of employees that lack the ability to work in the customer service field. This is pretty sad when that is your job to make the customer comfortable and not try and tell them they have no reason for a refund. It would of been a different story if I could of used my reservation but it was no where to be found until I asked to speak to a supervisor. Then when you clearly telling me I was charged twice one by cash and one by card should tell you something. I made reservations with my card online but when arriving the hotel could not even pull it up and they even called. So the hotel gave me the same price as I was charged and tried helping me get a refund from them. Choice is apparently scamming people out thier money. Beware of using Choice because if your reservation disappear you will be told you have no reason for a refund and spend time with your bank to get your money back.

Choice employee as well as guest. I have been a member/employee for almost 8 years. I enjoy my job and my stays when I travel and I tend to see complaints about pet friendly vs not Just wanted to give a tip... when you search for pet friendly hotels they show up at the top of the list. Usually 3 or 4. THEN there is an orange bar that reads OTHER hotels in the area...THIS is where my own hotel shows up and many would be guests get the wrong impression that we are hence pet friendly.... what has failed to happen though is they did not read the orange bar which clearly states that the following are OTHER choices to stay but are NOT pet friendly. It can be confusing and I agree it is a tad misleading and is definitely an opportunity to improve our website. Of course Certified Service Animals are always welcome. I hope this helps some one in their future searches for places that welcome our fur babies :)

Choice as a whole is a disappointment. Not only is the app always having issues, but as a company choice is horrible. Stayed at an econolodge in Stanley Wisconsin. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE!!! HE WILL DEFRAUD YOU!!! Booked for $57, checked in and they charged my card $89. Called them out on it, they said first that I was wrong until I showed them the confirmation email. He still argued it till I said we were checking out. Then miraculously he found the correct rate and claimed it was choices fault. He said he would refund. I signed for the refund. Now he rescinded the refund. He also demanded we paid for the second night because he refused to give up the commission on it. I contacted choice, they started an investigation. Now they tell me the investigation has been closed by that manager. HOW CAN THE MANAGER BEING INVESTIGATED, CLOSE THE INVESTIGATION INTO HIMSELF? They tell me they they have refunded me the $89, but that there is now three charges for the room on my card. I show no refunds and only two charges at $57. But if they show three charges, that means that he rescinded the $89 refund without authorization and made a third charge on my card without authorization which is credit card fraud and a felony. So don’t stay here if you value honest managers. That being said, his staff is amazing and the two of them should be promoted.

Free night promotion. Last summer there was a promotion if you stayed two separate nights you would receive a $100 gift card or 8000 points for a free room. You had to book through the web page. We were traveling in the mountains in Montana and I was unable to book on line I had to book directly with the hotel as I kept dropping the calls to the 800 number as well. The next week we stayed at a different comfort in. I made two separate calls to confirm that both my stays would count and make me eligible for the points/rebate. I was assured they checked and altered my reservation or whatever they had to do to make me eligible. I did not check till now when I am wanting to use my free room and no bonus 8000 points have been posted. I called and spoke to two managers and I was told I was eligible but because it had been more than 60 days they could not give me the credit. And he said I should have checked sooner. I seriously laughed out loud and said so because I did not log in and double check that what your employee told me to be true was or was not actually taken care of I am out of luck in getting my free room? He said that is correct. I gave this program one star simply because the promotion was offered. Epic fail on customer service. You don’t tell someone that they are completely right and it’s the company’s error but you can’t fix it. I will go out out of my way to not stay at choice hotels unless there is someone reading this that has the power to make this right.

Comfort Suites Willowbrook (Tx.). We had gone to the Houston area to play Basketball with our 4th-5th grade girls. I love Choice Hotels and got 2 other families to book here at this location as well. Rooms were wonderful and bed very comfortable. Staff was friendly as well. Breakfast served 6:30-10 was pretty good as well. I was very very disappointed in the pool area. We got there on Friday and the pool was gross. It looked like it had not been cleaned in days. The hot tub was disgusting as well. Our gurls really wanted to swim so I went and asked the guy at the desk if it had been kept up and was it safe to swim in. He assured me they cleaned it daily and it was safe but the filtration system wasn’t working properly. Next day after games were over, the pool still looked the same and nobody had attempted to try to clean the pool or the pool area. That disappointed me because we love that part of our hotel stay. So, if you do not use the pool area, you will like this hotel. Otherwise, find another place. Most Choice Brand Hotels are very nice!!

Used to be excellent. I am 2 days from being a diamond member. I tried to book at a quality inn to finish my stays, but the rates were $40+ more than another local hotel (Super 8). I asked if there was anything they could do to get closer in rate, NOT match but atleast get comparable. $10-$15 more I can handle but $40 is excessive. Room rate at quality inn was discounted to $93 the other hotel was $49. This is the 4th time I have run into this issue. I have even driven over 20 miles to stay at a choice hotel over others. After being a loyal customer of choice I am offended at this treatment. One desk clerk told me that choice offers hot breakfast, Although the continental breakfast offered is good, for $40 I can get a way better breakfast at a restaurant than what is offered at the hotel. Another clerk told me “if the rate is that good then I guess you’ll just have to stay there, there is nothing I can do”. I let the first 3 times go, hoping it was a crabby clerk or just a local hotel policy but it seems to be a trend with this chain. As of now I will no longer be staying with choice hotels, unless this issue can be resolved. Thanks for the previous years of great service, hope to stay again sometime, but only time will tell.

Worst customer service ever. Choice Hotels is beyond deceitful, rude, inconsiderate, and don’t care about their customers. I called to verify their promotion with the “stay 2 nights, get 1 night free” scam. I was booking a room each night for my boyfriend who is driving for a cross-country move. Because I was booking the rooms through my account, and wasn’t with him, the points were not being earned, even though I was told otherwise. I was told that my boyfriend needed to set up him own account, reserve his own rooms, and then the points would be added AFTER 72 HOURS from check out. Well, he won’t need the free night because he will be in town 2 days before the points will even be added. The customer service agent, and the supervisor, I spoke with were literally the rudest people I have ever spoken with. This unsettling experience was the worst thus far and most definitely the last. #baddabookbaddaboom means “[I] will give you an overpriced room to bend you over, make you grab your ankles, and screw you until [I] explode. (Oh, watch for the bed bugs and roaches.) Then [I] leave you feeling like [I] just made #1 on the greatest disappointment list.”

Inappropriate room. We have changed two times the room. The first room smelled smoke and dirty. In the second one, the flush didn't work and it turns the room inappropriate. Finally, in the third one, the air conditioner was off and the room smells like mold, the flush didn't work well, in the remote control there wasn't any batteries, how we can watch TV? The towels were nasty, smelled bad, had some dark spots, looks like they didn't wash with detergent and didn't leave enough towels for the room. The room was unclean and its dirty, the carpet is nasty. The mirror was blurried of how dirty it was. The receptionists said they couldnt do anything because the hotel is booked. How we can do now? When I booked, the app offered a good room, in perfect condition for use, comfortable and clean. My family and I had had a long trip, we stayed in a car for almost 8 hours and when we finally thought we could take a shower and rest, we start a kind of nightmare. We had to change room three times and we didn't have a good impression of your hotel. It was a deception for us.

Best customer service ever. While traveling, during the labeled pandemic, my vehicle took a dive in Cincinnati. With the uncertainty of what was to come and what it would entail price wise I had forgotten the obvious detail of where I would stay. I called the choice representative and Marvin went above and beyond to help ease my chaotic situation. He helped explain the program, which I needed badly, and booked my room for 3 more nights using minimal points from my account and using a minimal amount of money. I was greatly appreciative of this and the rewards program the choice family has to offer. Choice rewards just makes sense and other companies should learn from Choice and take notes because there customer service was above my expectations and beyond anything I had anticipated for being a member. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Free night promotion. We booked a night for the usual motel we stay at when we go to watch my son play baseball. We stayed the night and checked out the next morning with intentions of going home after the game. Due to weather games were delayed and over very late that night. I went on the app to book another room for the night. The promotion states if you stay 2 nights you get one free, so I knew I should have enough points for our next stay to be free. I looked after 73 hours and I did not receive any points for a free night. When I called to ask about it I was on the line for over an hour. The first guy I talked to said he needed to talk with his manager on how to transfer the points. I was then disconnected and had to talk to another representative who tells me that I cannot stay on the same property. I have been a member with choice rewards for about 8 years and they have always worked with me. I have stayed over 13 nights since January and have only received enough points for 1 free night. I am very disappointed with choice rewards.

Very disappointed. My family and I stay at a choice hotel for the stay 2 nights at a choice hotel and get ur 3 rd night stay so we check in on the 14th stay til the 17th we check out the 17th we came back in the 17th again then check out 18 th check back in on 18th then check then we ask about the free stay here the loop hole u have to wait 24 hours between each stay to supposedly get ur free stay now if I would of known this we could went dwn the street to this intown suites and paid 54$ a night and got a kitchen but bc we thought we would get a free stay after we stayed 2 separate nights we decided to stay at quality inn which his 100$ a night I will not waste my time making sure me or anyone in my family pick a choice hotel I think this is truly unfair they promote this great deal but don’t mention the 24 hour gab until u trying to get ur free night then it all these rules and terms smh

Horrible experience. DO NOT BOOK ANY CHOICE HOTEL PROPERTIES!!!I wish I could give a zero star review. I am extremely unsatisfied with the service I received this morning from The Quality Inn. I called to ask for a refund after the hotel we stayed in became part of a crime scene. I was scheduled to stay for six nights. I checked in in the early morning hours on June 17th. I was only there for two hours before we had to be escorted out by the police because of our neighbors in the next room. There were also several shady characters hanging around the hotel. I did not want to stay at the hotel because I did not feel safe. When I called to get a refund, they said that is not possible. That is not acceptable. We feared for our safely. I would have hoped Choice Hotels's customer service would stand behind their customers and make things right. Our safety was in jeopardy and they are doing nothing to compensate us. I will be writing a review on every social media out there advising everyone of the horrible services of The Quality Inn and Choice Hotels."

Quality Inn Huron. Our softball team just stayed at this hotel and it was less to be desired. It was very old and the rooms were so smelly that we had to go buy room fresheners. There was no elevator and the ice machine was on the first floor and of course we were on the second floor. The pool was cloudy with rust stains all along the edges dripping into the pool so our girls were unable to use it. Each family stayed two nights at 189 per night and I feel terrible for finding this hotel and booking it. Saturday night we ordered pizza to have a party at the hotel for recognition awards and we asked if we could use two tables from the breakfast area and the lady behind the desk said no. I asked if she had any recommendations since there wasn't a banquet area or anywhere for 30 people to go and she said no. She truly could care less about her job or helping anyone.... And again 11 rooms at 189 a night!! Breakfast was disgusting with wet runny fake eggs and grey sausage that I wouldn't give to my dog. The only positive thing was that we were 5 minutes from the softball fields. Do NOT stay there. The pictures are extremely altered on the website and I wish we could get a refund for this miserable stay.

Zero help at all zero. I reserve two poolside rooms at the Clarion Inn hotel I was currently staying at the Clarion Inn I was to check out of my room and check into the other two rooms. When I went to do that they told me that their rooms were already taken by a Choice member therefore if they wanted to extend their night they had every right to do so so they did not know if my rooms were available or not how pathetic is that and then I called customer service I called customer relations I got 2000 points on my card yay they did not help with the new reservationThey said they could not cancel the old one even though the room was not available I still had to pay for it the only way I can Splaine it is it’s disgusting how I was treated there open 365 days a year for customer service should be able to help you 365 days a year you should not have to wait till Monday because you have a problem and it’s the weekend anybody that can make a decision please call me back please

Do not ever stay here!!! Read below. This was the worst day I’ve ever had I arrived at 4 AM they could not find my reservation after booking with Choice for my points then they required me to pay which I paid cash and the front desk lady in the morning at 4 AM was very nice she put the cash aside and said I’ll give it back to you in the morning after a choice calls us and fixes this issue. So I wake up in the morning I call down to the front desk to verify my wake up and check out at 1 o’clock we’re still on she said yes I also asked her if I had gotten my room paid for by points. She immediately replied rudely saying no we’re taking your cash and we can’t give it back to you. So I called Choice and spend three hours on the phone and they tell me we can give you your 8000 points back and two free nights stay. I say I don’t want the points I want my money so the hotel lady grabs the money and hands it to me and says don’t ever stay with aria hotel or ever come back to my hotel again you’ve taking up too much of my time. As I asked to speak to the manager he told me hold on the manager walks out and says can you just leave so rude I would never stay here again the front desk manager is rude and deserves to be fired she discriminated because my boyfriend Aamir gay.

Decent app but lacking versatility. Choice is a great place to stay- and for those of us with longer work stays of 6+ months or so, Choice becomes a home. The app makes booking easy- though a little janky when paying with points, as most hotels are independently handled and have zero ability to check your points or book stays so the app is crucial- when it wants to work properly. Additionally, in longer term stay hotels like Suburban Suites, users should be able to extend their stay AND pay in the app- because there’s nothing worse than getting late from work and having to extend your stay by a day or two and the office is closed- requiring you to be up bright and early to go to the office as soon as they open to extend the stay before housekeeping comes at checkout time (which can be unusually early depending on the hotel) to clear you out. An actual Calendar view for the Your Stay feature would also be nice- showing how long you booked your stay in gray and how many nights you have paid for in green- because for longer stays you block out the room but can pay by day, week, month, or as many days at once as you wish. The Choice Priveleges points program for earning rewards by ordering out should also be available, and offer ordering, direct through Choice app (even if it has to take you to an external app like DoorDash) rather than logging on via browser, which can be an easy or impossible task depending on cellphone type, computer, or even Wi-Fi/cell service speed.

Comfort Inn and Suites. Hotel service was excellent, rooms were very clean. As for your welcome to stay they don’t allow that . I lost my apartment and needed to stay a little bit in the hotel until I found something or live in the street but the hotel policy is no extended stays . They refused my service I was declined my next stay they made me go elsewhere and on top of that I don’t even drive. I’m at the worse time of my life right now and that’s how a hotel wants to treat a paying customer just like anyone else. I didn’t ask for no special deals I pay whatever anyone else did no discounts but yet I was not allowed to stay . I will make sure I let everyone I know about any Choice Hotels that is all of their policies and it is the worst policy they could ever make. They surely lost my business I’d never stay here again even if it was for free . Make sure to let your friends know about this before you use them. They turn people away that are in need of their rooms . Thank you Susan Stengel

Comfort Inn Glenelg East. Comfort Inn 626 Anzac H/Way —- great clean accomodation close to Glenelg with great service—- stayed 7 nights and could not fault the place —meals fresher than a pub meal and delicious—- I would recommend to stay at this Motel —- parking in front of your room.Friendly owners.Review from Port Lincoln

The App. Much easier than website Simple to use with speed and efficiency

Does not work properly.. Constantly returns error “Unknown error has occurred”. Past stays do not show. Unable to change booked dates due to “Unknown error”

Choice hotels. Good little app that doesn't give any problems. NB: sometimes if the app shows no availability the actual hotel may have a couple of rooms still available! But this is good app for me!

Antiquated app. Managed to quickly find the country I was after, expected to see all the hotels highlighted on the map. Didn't happen , very good map of Japan but I had no idea where the hotels were , so it turned into a time consuming exercise. I gave up and went to another app that showed the location of their hotels. Found, booked, satisfied but not by Choice Hotels.

Convenient. Does all I need including bookings, history and future reservations. Great app

Clarion hotel. There used to be a clarion hotel, where is it now??

Cannot set up an online account. I am a member already but I needed to set up an online account to log in. It keeps saying unexpected error occurred!!

Great App. This App makes it so easy to check availability, make a reservation anywhere and as a member it gives you up to date information about basically everything you want to know. What more can you ask for.

Great App easy to use. Fabulous way of making bookings and storing all my Choice membership details and booking info. App is simple fast and straightforward it shows me where I am with my points and how to redeem them for my free nights accommodation.

Love QualityInn & Suites TGon. Great app, works perfectly! The girl at our local Choice hotel have our membership number stuck to the wall and always remember to add it when we check in!

Great app. This app is so much easier to use than booking online refresh rate is wicked thank you for creating this.

Easy to use. This website is well designed and easy to use

In correct location suck in. I’m trying to book into Coffs Harbour it gives the Hotel I book and it’s in Queensland, not good

Poor upgrades. This seems to be a USA based membership, no real value for Australian users, better off going a major hotel chain and get something out of your points and membership levels

Points not received. I always book through the App and never get points allocated. I even show my card on arrival and if I don’t chase them up I get nothing. Absolute Rort.

Biggest scam artists!. Booking with these individuals is legalized theft and nothing they tell you is true!! BEWARE OF THESE FRAUDS! Not to mention the roach motels in their booking list!!!

Horrible program. Just shredded my membership card. If you want to pay more become a member. Checked into a Joliet hotel tonight and spent the last hour getting my rate knocked down from about 40% more on other sites to 20% more. Oh and as a bonus no hot breakfast as advertised cause they just didn’t fell like doing it anymore

Fight for rewards. Over the last few months, every where I stay with choice rewards don't give me my rewards until I call the line and report them missing. then the agent always acts as if they're doing me a favour. I always give my rewards number when I check in and check out to ensure it's on my room, it shows in the app that I've stayed there with the confirmation number and after a few days the booking disappears so I take a picture every time because I know the agent is going to hassle me over it.

Could be better. As I use many app for hotels, yours missing an important feature, yours only provide information in english. All Accor app, Marriot Bonvoy app, those offers also others languages as French.

1515 1-40 Amarillo Texas location. Dirties place I have ever stayed at. Blood stain on the top blanket and a yellow stain on the comforter under it.

Apps. Fonctionne mal depuis une semaine

Delete last stays?. How can you delete last stays?

Never a choice member again. Been choice member for years, once elite now platinum. Booked a hotel with points but informed upon arrival it was cancelled. Customer service willing to move us to an econo lodge from a quality suites and unwilling to make to comp a second room to replace the 2 room suite that was originally confirmed. They even doctored the original confirmation in the system yet I still had original email. Not my first issue but is my last!

JMo. Best chain going for the money.A long time user.

Rewards are hard to get. hugley disappointed with with Choice and their customer support. i have had to call in several times in 2019 to get my flex rewards. My last two calls have resulted in absolutley zero results. i am owed at least 5 or 6 Starbucks flex rewards. why do I have to waste so much of my time to get these rewards. Figure it out people! Or don’t offer the Starbucks flex reward, because it obviously doesn’t work. would someone please get back to me and make this right?!

“Sold out”. I just downloaded this app since I get a discount through work, but for some reason it shows all hotels for any dates anywhere as sold out so I can’t use it! Back to the website I guess?

First choice in hotels!!. Excellent choice!!! You cannot go wrong with it. However, it is quite a hassle to recover the password if you forget.

Not credited. Booked a night at Roadway inn in Pocatello Idaho via the choice privilege, did not get credited with rewards? Friday October 13 stay, checked out Saturday October 14/2017!

French version of the App. It seems there is no way to switch the App on a french version… How can I do this ?? Is it available ??

Point Deleted. They are cheating on people as I got 81500 points and they deleted all my points and dropped down to 4600 and no one is able to help. This is so unacceptable. I will never visit your hotels now.

Worst hotel chain!. Booked a 3 night stay with Amsterdam inn recently and after I added a special request with this app, it changed my rate!!! Increased the total by over $100. Spent about an hour with CS over the phone with no explanation or help. Horrible! Will not be staying with an Choice hotel again.

A-one. Exceptionally easy to use app! Very much used in planning our road trip. Cheers!

No mask. I’ll never ware a mask .. so I’ll never stay again. Thx for taking my points for nothing!

Cheated. Unable to book with Choice Hotels by phone because of poor phone skills and knowledge by answering receptionist, I found it necessary to call another number to get the information I need before booking. Because I booked thru another more knowledgeable team Choice Hotels has refused to honour their promotion of 2 nights stay for a gift card even though I stayed at their hotel. Couldn’t book thru them, and had to phone 3 times to their rewards help line before I could even talk to someone who tried to help. Poor phone contact! Poor customer service start to finish! Best Western has the reward program I will use in future. Beverly Martin

App won’t save password. The newest update will not let me sign on mobile app! User name and password work fine on mobile browser. Figure this out!!!

Good sleep. Great comfy beds and nice linens at Blue Ash Comfort Inn and quietly accommodating staff. Perfectly suited to a one night stop on the drive to and from Florida from Ontario. Wish breakfast selection included hot oatmeal though. Nice bathroom in the third floor room too - looks like it’s been refurbished. Would definitely recommend.

Language. App seulement en amglais😡😡😡

No longer accept my Corp discount ID. After the most recent update, my corporate discount ID is not accepted in the app, but can still be used on the website. What’s the point of this broken app?

Doesn’t show the rate when I book.. I have the confirmation number of reservation but it doesn’t tell me how much the rate cost per night.

Mark F senior traveler. Always friendly and clean.

App failed to show me upcoming stays. For the first time ever this app failed to show me upcoming stays. I had no idea I was booked in two rooms on the same night. If the app had done its job I would have had ample time to cancel one of the rooms simply by opening the app and seeing two locations on the same date. I’m not happy with the customer service or the way the hotel handled it. Not sure at this point I will trust this app.

It works & is easy to use. What more can you say about a hotel booking app. Would be nice if it could filter for electric car plugins and NOT pet friendly (I have allergies) but then none of the others do either.

Rewards. Stayed at comfort inn for 2 nites to redeem current reward offer, when it came time to get points they would not reward my 3rd nite free with points... told me it was suppose to be 2 separate nites with 24 hrs in between... poor customer service for reward members, will try not and stay at any choice hotels😡

Best sleep. I always rest well in this chain

App ne reconnaît plus mot de passe. Depuis la dernière mise à jour de l’application, je ne suis plus capable de me connecter. Mon nom d’utilisateur est correct et mon mot de passe aussi (j’ai vérifié sur un choicehotel.com

App stopped working. App stopped working 10 months ago and hasn’t been fixed. Sent an email about it and no reply or fix. When I try to book a hotel it just keeps searching and then says “retry”. Have to go online to book

Search doesn’t work, past stays not showing!. Over all a good app, easy to use; however, the search for a hotel never works for me. Any search, for any date and any city returns with the “Error, try again” screen. Have to sign in to choice web to make a reservation every time. Reusing the previous stay information and changing the dates for the same hotel works. But lately can’t even see any past stays in app.

Gift Card Redemption Scam. Redeemed points for a $50 Best Buy gift card and when I tried to use it in store found out it wasn’t activated?!?

Application en anglais seulement. Nous sommes en 2022 et il n’y a pas d’options de langues ? L’application a autant besoin d’être revue comme l’état de plusieurs des hôtels de la chaîne !

Ads are untrue. I have not been given credits for staying at my last three Choice motels on this program, it says the stays are ineligible but doesn't say why not? Also, the ads state free stays from 8,000 points upward but all motels require 12,000 points or more, some as high as 24,000 points. So where are the savings? Not worth the effort. Go elsewhere.

Easy to use App. I love this App. It’s so easy to use and efficient to book on or review your points activity. Well done.

Application en français serait bien pour les gens du Québec. Application en français serait mieux

Great. Never had a problem with this app been awesome I wish they would add a pet option and tell us what hotels allow pets

Good but. Do you have a french app

First time booking for hotel. Great app!

Best. Bestie

App & Website are Both a Fail. Cannot log in. Customer service is useless with the usual clear your cache, etc. Just keep getting an error saying wrong username or password. Reset of password logs me in automatically on the website but once logged out, just keep getting the same error message so cannot even log into the app.

Staying at hotel...under another person’s choice. Cannot write review...woken by ither guest noise. Staying at hotel...under another person’s choice. Cannot write review...woken by ither guest noise 2:45 and 3:45 am. 335 Jarvis street

App changes dates on you. Went to book for a 1 night stay in London Ontario Canada, put my credentials in check in on Friday apr 27 out on April 28 search checked the dates before confirming my purchase it was right then purchased and all confirmations reverted back to checking in on Thursday April 26 out on April 27th. Then called hotel and they were willing to change the reservation ( but not cancel as it was pass the cancellation policy) and raised the rate from 73.00 to 112.00 for the night then I go back into the website and pretend to book and it’s 108.00 a night. Had the same thing happen 2 yrs ago in Quebec City. Not recommending this chain at all

Appréciation. Pas disponible en français

Poor functionality. When I book, I have to use the “share” function to get an email confirmation. Emails do not send automatically — and yes, I did check my junk mail. The feedback form also failed to function: an “error” message comes up even when all fields are filled. Not impressed with the “improved” app.

Poor Service. Of the 4 days we were there in February 2019, breakfast was almost out each day of our stay with no replenishment (even at 8am). Worst part of our stay was the poor customer service on the part of management and her front desk staff. Two mornings in a row we were awoken around 6am by loud music yelling and screaming from the guests in the neighboring room. Numerous complaints were made including knocking on their door at 6am. Manager advised guests were being moved to another hotel but we later discovered on our last night (again they were noisy) that management did nothing about these unruly guests. Even called corporate headquarters upon our return home and they did nothing. No information available in which to locate the franchise owner. Will be returning to the area later this year but will be staying at The Hampton Inn a little further up the road. Comfort Inn has always been a preferred for us but no more. Very unsatisfied guests here.

Very disappointed. I’ve been staying at the Monaca Comfort Inn and suites for years. My most recent stay was for three nights in a row. The air conditioner/heating unit in my room literally sounded like someone was banging on the wall as hard as They can. With that said I barely got any sleep because my three-year-old daughter would finally get to sleep and it would go off again. The first night I just shut it off and we all woke up freezing. They come and mess around with it but it didn’t even fix it. Honestly book the room to get away and relax and it was a waste of $300. The sad thing is the week before I stayed that Friday and Saturday in a different room and I was fine. They could’ve happily moved us into a different room but they didn’t . So now instead of me saying amazing things about what used to be my favorite hotel I will be explaining to them this situation

Bad news. My new wife and I were married on April 24th 2021 and had a reservation at the Comfort Suites in Lexington Sc. We arrived at 7:00pm and found the room that I reserved was next to the swimming pool, nursery and the exercise room. When we entered the hall was drenched with water. I went to the front desk after getting settled to ask where we could get some snacks and the lobby was drenched in water also. We layer in the room and a banging on the wall started and continued so I went back to the seat and the fellow at the desk said he would take care of the banging. After he visited the room next to ours the banging became louder a d more consistent so my wife was so upset that we picked up and left. We will never stay at a Comfort Suites again and it was a terrible experience for a wedding night. A 1 out of 10 i rate it a zero. Shame on them Ronald Burris

Staff concerns. 1) Check-In is 3:00pm. We arrived at 4:30. When we enter the room, the top security bar of the entry door stopped us from entering the room. There is a woman from housekeeping in the room. I thought she was a guest since it appeared that there was someone on the bed. She was extremely surprise to see us. We waited 30 minutes to get our room 2) when we checked in, the front desk person forgot to return my credit card. However, he was extremely nice to return it when I was in the pool area 3) Breakfast staff was not paying attention to the needs of the guests. a) there was a cooked waffle in the waffle machine. It was there for 15 minutes. I timed it. IT WAS FOR A STAFF MEMBER!! Not a guest. She was busy talking to the breakfast staff and others. b) there was NO waffle mixed available. It was EMPTY and we could not make a waffle. c). There was NO syrup for the waffle. d) the coffee container was empty for 15 minutes. That’s because she was too busy talking it’s the “waffle” staff. e) getting a little upset about the coffee, we approached her and mentioned that the coffee dispenser was empty. She said ok and bring some out. f). 8 minutes later she did. Thank you. BUT the coffee was WARM and diluted. It looked like tea We were extremely disappointed of the quality for a QUALITY INN. we recently stayed at a Quality Inn in Spokane for a week on Business and it was NOTHING like this place.

Card triple charged. *BE CAREFUL* If you get an error process failed please try again alert, do not attempt to do it again because choice will charge your card each time you do it and claimant you are purchasing points. I did this three times and it was failing so I just use points for a free night and in the end found out my card was charged! I called and the lady told me I was purchasing coins when I was trying to use 6000 points and additional cash to get a night which turned out to cost me more than I pay at the daily rate anyhow. She refused to give me my money back and said somebody would call me within 3 to 5 days which still hasn’t happened a week later! Plus they took my points... this has never happened with Wyndham hotels, so choose wisely and Forget about trying to deal with their customer service reps.

Very disappointed. We are traveling the US for two weeks with my in laws. We are traveling in an RV, but all camp sites were full or closed and we really wanted a good nights sleep and a good long hot shower. We always stay in Choice Hotels so I logged in and booked two king rooms in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the Quailty Inn and it is very disappointing. We booked online two king size rooms. Got here and they gave us one king room and one queen room. We paid the same for both rooms. When I ask I was told I rented one king and one queen. When I went to pull out my confirmation he then said oh the system probably changed it because we only had one king room. I told the young man that online it said there were two left he said there wasn’t. The shower curtain is stained and honestly I didn’t even want to touch it but needed to shower. My in laws room (queen) was nasty the floor and walls).

Wonderful staff. My children and I have been here for a while and while we were here there have been some changes, for the better. The rooms need upgrading, which they are in the process of doing now. But the staff here have been so wonderful to us. They always make sure we are taken care of and have everything we need. They recently got a new General manager, Mrs. Gina and she is WONDERFUL. They really made the right decision with that. Please don’t let the old rooms be a reason not to stay here bc I promise you, you will not find a better group of people to make you feel welcome. Oh and the breakfast is to die for. I’m not sure how much longer we will need to be here, but I know we are welcome and will be taken great care of.

Choice Hotels. This isn’t a review of the app. Honestly it’s fine and does the job. Avoid this chain of hotels though, customer service is non existent if you have any issues. I’ve been using this for work trips for the past 8 years, with over 1000+ stays in that time. One of their properties decided to charge me with a $200 smoking fee, which I did not do nor could the property (Quality Inn, Holbrook AZ. its a dump and I needed a quick place to sleep) provide any evidence for their claim. I made it absolutely apparent with the property owner and the choice hotels supervisor that I do not smoke or have any prior issues with any hotel in the past 8 years. Choice hotels stated they could do nothing about the situation and I’d have to contact my credit card provider, luckily they’ll be performing a charge back. I advice people to take their hotel needs to other chains like IHG, Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, or local establishments. Your commitment to Choice Hotels means nothing in the grand scheme, hope this is helpful.

Awful app/service. They will cancel your reservation before you arrive. Refresh your bookings all of the time often. Let’s say that you are at the end of your 12 hour drive, maybe you are arriving late @ 10pm. Your app will show your reservation as cancelled. Surprise!! Even if you got the email confirmation in your email…this will happen. Happened to me, I was at the end of my journey (I’m a senior choice member for 7 years), arriving at my hotel in 5 minutes. Refresh my bookings in the app, and surprise! Go sleep in your car. After speaking with the hotel manager, their explanation “we are overbooked, sorry”. So confirmed bookings for weeks, will be canceled in a minute w/o consulting with you. Surprise. Here are the hotels that cancel you, making you sleep in your car: Sleep Inn, Concord, NC and Quality Suites, Pineville, NC. Enjoy that car mattress.

Fleas. I arrived at the Sleep inn in Beaufort SC for a weeks stay for work. I was given a room on the ground floor that smelled damp and musty. I was told that a previous guest had broken a water line to a toilet and flooded a few rooms on the 1st level. Knowing this they had placed me on the 1st floor anyway. I was moved to room 301 on the 3rd floor. The refrigerator was missing in this room. After a call to the front desk a refrigerator was brought to the room in short order. All was good until I laid down in the bed and felt something hop on me. After looking around I found that the room had a descent population of fleas. I immediately packed up my gear. I put a few of the fleas in a clear bag and carried them to the front desk when I went to check out. When the manager ask why I was leaving early I told him the room had fleas. When he acted like he didn’t believe me I handed him the bag. We had another employee coming in to stay as well. When we tried to cancel the reservation, due to the hotels condition, we were told by the manager that he had the right to keep the 1st nights charge and refused the refund. Although he is correct ,considering the situation, I would have thought he may have made an exception. This is not my usual experience with choose hotels. Considering that this hotel is frequently used by families attending the Marine Corp graduation about 48 weeks out of the year I think they could and would do better.

Online gift card redemption also known as e giftcards. So very unhappy with Choice right now they taking their digital gift card we didn’t hit send off-line so the only way to get a gift card is to go on the website every (with points but then you have to wait my gear mailbox for to six weeks to get that I call Jim and ask him when they were going to have infection they could not give me an answer I asked them how they would be half in savings or diamond members for somebody like myself that I stayed 85 nights this year already They said they would not be compensating anybody. I told him usually when somebody doesn’t update they do the update and it takes one to two days so at this point I am done with Choice Hotels I will be getting my business the Wyndham hotels next year maybe they will treat me better than this sorry excuse of a place that out for us is called the different countries to people they can’t even understand you

Robot verification test is designed for you to fail. I have been a Comfort Inn customer for a number of years. Have qualified for free rooms. When the app was launched, I downloaded it on both my iPhone and iPad. Signed in as an account member. Question was posed whether I was a robot. Laughed because Comfort Inn had evidence that I was a human. Unless they allow robots to stay as a guest at their properties. Then they posed a test. The test is designed for you to fail. Pictures are small, especially on an iPhone. Terminology is European. Certainly not American. Example is "street sign." I view it as the name of a street. Do not know what their definition is. Bottom line: I am extremely irritated. Ball is in their court (American expression) as to whether they want to keep me as a client.

Drops and Can’t Book/Pay with Points. Choice member for a few years. Constant failures to log on. Log In attempts fail but do not inform you that your failed attempts ban you from logging on. Restoring requires calling customer service which ALWAYS requires dealing with the slow to respond robot assistant, which drives one insane as it interrupts in the midst of answering questions. IF you somehow navigate through her, you are permitted to wait an indeterminate amount of time for a human being (I waited over 20 minutes once). If you ARE blocked/banned and you DO get a human on the phone DO NOT hang up UNTIL you have successfully changed your password (or whatever is required) LOGGED ONTO THE SITE. Otherwise, you will do perform the same maddening routine again.

Lynchburg, VA. I am confident that any good review at this property was done by an employee, a friend of an employee or one of the shady characters that lurch around the property. The rooms are outdated, the complimentary breakfast is subpar and the locals that hover, occupy and lurch around the parking lot seem to be running the place. Its a smokers paradise outside as well. The shady characters that occupy this place and stare at you and do their best to make you feel unwanted and as uncomfortable as possible and its such a treat leaving or returning to the hotel to be greeted by these individuals hanging out on the sidewalks, balconies and parking spaces where they do business transactions. What a treat for the kids to witness i must say. I couldn’t swear but the hotel seems like it is a halfway house for previously incarcerated individuals trying to adjust back to society. Ok, i have to say at something nice, the water was hot, thats about it. Staff not so friendly at all as they just seem to not care about your comfort. It says alot that I’m writing this as my time is precious and for me to go out of my way to write the review says it all. Not sure you could pay me even to stay here again as it would be a very high number that they could not afford. Avoid this hotel at all costs and save the anguish and horrible memories

Nightmare stay with no recourse if you book through the app. I was made very sick from exposure to commercial spray paint paper repeatedly at the Quality Inn Mystic, a Groton, Connecticut, a Choice Hotel stay that I paid for in advance through this app as a platinum rewards member. If you book through the app, you have no help at all from corporate, and will have to deal with the individual hotel who has still not issued me a refund for poisoning me and my dog here and causing me long-term harm to my lungs. And iPhone was stolen out of the box in my room while I was walking my dog as well. A front desk manager named Mr. K walks around smoking cigarettes at the breakfast buffet, and in the lobby, which is against the law at the one I stayed at in Connecticut and disgusting. The place is filthy. Do not stay here it’s a Health and morale hazard as an insurance risk in my professional opinion.

Hotel staff went above and beyond. I recently went through a breakup and I have been staying her. The Ladies at the front desk have been there to help when I needed help. They were lenient and understanding when I would ask for a later checkout to procure the funds for another night. I am sure my ex hacked into my account and left a crappy review but I am unable to find it and delete it. I’ve only had one problem here and that was my laundry being stollen from the laundry room dryer. As far as the staff go, they have been nothing but kind and have gone above and beyond for me. They have made some rough days more tolerable and reminded me that it is okay to smile amidst my chaos.

Awesome personal service. This may be our first time at this hotel but it will NOT be the last. The personal attention is absolutely awesome. The text to check in with you is easy way to keep in touch. I am very sensitive to dust, I asked Amber if it was possible to have the a/c filter changed/cleaned. I was afraid to ask because my request is usually received rather negatively. But a sinus headache is not fun and usually my norm at hotels. This was no problem for the maintenance staff and it was taken care off within a few hours. This is HUGE for me and will earn my loyalty. I’m glad to have read similar reports of other facilities in other cities, this is definitely a win. Thank you for all you do.

Use points to get a free night. I went onto the app to use the promotion that would allow me to use 6,000 of my earned points + $75 to reserve a room. When I arrived at the hotel I did not have a reservation, but Choice had charged my card a separate fee of $75 four times. Not only did I not have a room but I was out $300. I stayed on the phone with customer service to correct this situation for 4 hrs. and never reached a resolution. They told me that they would email my claim to their IT dept and unfortunately it might take 7-10 business days for them to look into it and get back to me. I have yet to hear back from any to tell me the outcome of how I will be refunded. The worse part is that the one, out of the several customer reps that I spoke to told me that this has happened to other customers in the past. I would not advice anyone to use the Choice app no matter how tempting the promotions may sound!!!

Addison-Lombard, Illinois. This location has lost any form of customer service. I am a platinum member for many years and used to stay at Choice properties exclusive. I have stayed at this location many times. Today I start the check in process and insert my card and the new credit card system asks for my PIN number. The card is my corporate Citi Visa so I do not have one. In the past and at other locations they swipe the card behind the counter and we move on. Today I am told they will not accept my card if I do not have a PIN. Desk clerk calls the GM and he confirms what she stated. She asked if I had another card and if not I needed to get the PIN for this card. She cancelled my reservation and I called customer service who informed me it is the GM discretion on accepting payments. We are talking a Citi Visa, seriously!!!! I am now checking into a Hampton Inn around the corner with the same card!!!! I am here for 3 nights.

Very good app!. Let me start by saying I’m not one who leaves app reviews (at all) but here it goes. Just signed up recently not knowing I would soon have to take the take the family away on an unplanned getaway (due to bad weather) to another state. It took seconds to find the right hotel within the city we were traveling to. Once booked, I was sent a confirmation text and email message about the upcoming trip. While on the road reopened the app and found everything I would need in one place such as the forecast for my stay, one tap directions to the hotel, attractions around the area, etc.. I really can’t say enough about this app. Will definitely use for all of my hotel booking needs.

Comment On My Stay. i recently stayed at the Comfort Inn in Clearfield, PA on Wednesday, July 11th. I’ve been a Choice Rewards member for many years as well as a lot if my family members and this is the first property that I’ve stay at that was not the standard that you promise to provide. First when I book the room I was not made aware of the current renovations going in at the hotel. I would have never considered staying there. To pay the regular rate for this is totally unacceptable. Secondly the internet was out as well. At this point I was willing to overlook the renovations if i was able to get some work done and my paper done for my doctrine studies. Needless to say I chose to leave the hotel. I did make a call to the front desk wirhout any help being offered. After this i really dont think I will be booking again at any of your properties. Im just disappointed at the subpar service I received.

Bad business. I stay with Choice EVERY NIGHT due to my job. I'm a Dimond member and spend hundreds every week on your hotels. I TRAVEL FOR A LIVING..... So sometimes things happen. I booked a room in Birmingham Alabama and due to weather I was not able to make it there last minute. I called the hotel, and they refused to cancel......I called choice immediately and they informed me they would "try" but I was past my deadline.....I never made it there......I was charged for the room......because I only have so much money for per deim, and they charged me......I had to use my points to get a room where I was!!!!! Choice, you've permanently lost my business! I've just signed up with another hotel chain and I'm done with you. You have very crappy business ethics.......

Reward points taken when the room was supposed to be compensated.. I stayed in one of the hotels you offer with your program and incident occurred at check-in and I called the main office of your company and they put me in another room in another hotel and said it would be comped Instead and then took 20,000 points that I have been building up was this a quick fix to shut me up knowing I wouldn’t noticed until after three days Or was this a mistake? I’ll be calling about that today. I also like the fact that when I booked through my retirement fund It puts 4% of what I spent back into my retirement it’s an app called Acorns check it out!

Problem with Refer a friend program. Tried on two separate occasions to sign up the same friend to take advantage of the Refer a Friend Program, but no invite was sent on either occasion. So, I called to try to get the problem corrected and the invite sent therefore allowing myself and the friend to qualify for the 500 points given to each after the friend completes the invitation and a stay. I was shuffled to three different people during my 40 minutes on the phone. I was told that my email must have a problem, although CHOICE sends email to me on a very regular basis to that exact same email. Bottom line, nothing was solved and the person on the phone said that I can tell my friend to sign up themselves (without either one of us getting the referral/invite sign up points as promised). Shame on CHOICE for not doing better to make good on their offer/program. I was very pleased until this problem and how poorly the problem was handled.

Honestly worst stay ever. Complete abuse of power. WORST STAY EVER. Employee abusing power! Our key wasn’t working twice in a row. My bf went to get a new key but they needed to talk to me since it was under my name. Before I could begin speaking, she said before you open your mouth and give me attitude know i can kick you out. I said don’t make assumptions, nothing came out of my mouth. She kept threatening to kick us out, told me I cussed at her. I was raised right I don’t cuss. I said fricken at the very end. My bf went back up to Mary Jane to say that it wasn’t right for her to make assumptions of me and accuse me of cussing which she agreed too and we have on video. She said my body language said I was upset. She called the cops and kicked us out. We have our conversation on video of us acting calm and her taking her mask down to yell at us and saying we were acting unruly. The cops showed up and calmly talked to us. I have quite a bit of points saved up but will never stay here again. Mary Jane should not be in customer service. Clearly she likes power and knows how to Abuse it. It’s sad because this is an example of disregarding customer service and apparently this is a comfort inn policy. Also, not covid safe as the manager Mary Jane took down her mask to yell at us.

Charles Rohrbaugh. I have found out through experience that if the app is wrong about a reservation that was made with a confirmation number and you go to the hotel to check in and the app was wrong they keep the points that where used to book the room clearly there mistake but the customer gets the shaft for there mistake very upsetting. There reply is sir we apologize we where wrong but we still charging you for our mistake. The hotel was located in Southport NC yes a Comfort Suites the app said it was 8.9 miles from 100 Atlantic ave Kure beach NC after riding for 5 hrs to find out the app was wrong customer service did apologize but we still going to charge you for

My Choice. I have been traveling for the last decade with my job, personal business, and vacations. I’ve stayed in every hotel chain I’m aware of and 80% of the time I’m pleased with Choice Hotels. When I find a hotel I’m unpleased with I make a mental note. Fortunately this is the exception. Choice offers the best rewards program as long as you understand that two separate stays means two separate hotels. Choice has made a fair effort to be clear how their promotions work. Ten years of pavement and air behind me, with promises left to keep, Choice Hotels remains my 1st choice. The rooms are clean, service is great and the powdered eggs are almost as good as Hyatt’s version of the same. Rambling Man

Quality Inn Suites in Pineville NC Got it going on🥰. Upon Arrival the first thing I noticed as I stepped into the lounge was the smell of clean 🧼. Then I was greeted by a friendly man named Jamil was was very polite and he throughly explained the rules and regulations. This was professional to me , because most hotels don’t greet you and tell you there is no smoking, Cleaniness routine and Just the basics , but necessary hotel rules especially during this pandemic 😷. Thank You Quality Inn Suites for your hospitality and the cleanliness of your hotel. My room was clean as a pin. Smelled so fresh and everything was in place as needed to be. Your name speaks for itself (Quality)⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great prices helpless service. The prices and quotes that Choice gets you is awesome. On another hand, trying to cancel, change, or get refunded is impossible. I accidentally selected the wrong week for check in and check out and when I noticed and try to change the dates the hotel I chose was booked up so I tried to cancel it. What the app/website does not make clear is that you cannot cancel your reservation nor can you change your reservation date after you have already prepaid online. Calling customer service is absolutely pointless. The guy I talked to over the phone knew less about the company then I did and could not help me in any type of way. The only thing he could tell me was that he can’t cancel my reservation and that he couldn’t help me any further then he “already has”. Not only could he not help me but he was mumbling and talking really low. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Awesome sauce. My mom has used choice for years we drive across country a lot (ny to California) now that I’m older I been taking trips from ny to Arizona as I got a place there. Driving is an adventure to me as I can stop anywhere whenever I would like. Choice hotels has made it easier on my wallet and stress that come along with these long road trips. I would recommend choice to anyone due to the fact that it is free and makes booking rooms near you as fast as 3 clicks of a button you can add on your credit card and AAA card (if you have one) for discounts. App shows you your past stays and let’s you collect points to receive free rooms. Most choice hotels include free continental breakfast. And very rarely have I had a problem with staff or cleanliness of rooms.

Choice frequent user. For the most part the app works ‘ but the system is broke sometimes for ordering redemption if gift cards . To me That’s the biggest perk for me not free nights. Another problem I have is when I want to cancel nights at front desk they say I need to contact and cancel threw the choice privileges app . Wich you can not so you have to argue with hotel management to check out early or not check in at all to refund. I wish they offered better privileges to frequent hotel stays annual users . Choice although is better than Wyndham rewards by far the employees actually redeem an get you what you order and dont try to scam but it problem I’m having is getting able to order redeem on app .i don’t want to call and sit on phone .

Choice Hotels Sleep Inn - Pearland. How do you get an actual membership card, the digital version is simply not good enough? The first time I stayed at this hotel, it was a better experience than the Ritz Carlton, and I’m not making this up. I first met the staff they helped me with my bags, asked me which floor I preferred, offered a shower or tub, or a suite. I recognize these high priced hotels have certain amenities, but bottom line, you want a great place to stay, friendly service, and a safe environment, with plenty of local amenities. Shopping food etc. And while I will admit, the place isn’t the most beautiful hotel there is, service and customer care more than makes up for it for me. My company loves to spend money on high priced hotel in the cities we travel to, but I’m am more than happy with Choice Hotels.

Disappointed with Choice Hotels. I have been a loyalty customer for years and am a gold member with just a few stays away from an upgraded tier. I have been on the road for quite a few hours and have been trying to use my points at a Comfort Inn or Comfort Suite for the past 100 miles. Every town had one or several available for cash, but were “sold out” when I tried to book with points. The Roadways, Econolodges, and Quality Inns in the same towns all honored the points. I have never had that happen even when booking the last room in a hotel. This has happened to me three times on my two week vacation. I have stayed at Comfort Inns that once I paid for the room and checked in, I found that not only were they not Comfort Inn standards, but not even Quality Inn standards. Definitely second thinking staying with the Choice hotels as my go to chain.

False advertising. False advertising! They provide such lying advertising as they say stay 2 separate nights, get one free! What they dont tell you is, the maximum amount of points they will give you is between 5,000 and 8,000 points to claim for your free night. Um, unless you want to stay at rodeway inn or econo lodge you will not get a free night stay ANYWHERE. Icing of the cake? It depends how much money you spent determines how many points you will get. I spent over $100 for each of the 2 separate nights and guess how many points I got? Yup, the low ball 5,000 points! Grow some sense Choice Hotels! I don’t blame the hotels themselves as they have absolutely nothing to do with it, but they sure make the hotels look bad since they are being represented by choice hotels! Should just provided a free night voucher instead of this 1/2 amount of points needed to book a regular room to begin with which averages at 12,000 points a night! Good grief! 1 star to Choice Rewards!

The ‘system’ does that, not me. Stayed at facility in CT for 4 nights. Stayed here in 2017 and judged it to be a marginal property, but clean, safe and convenient. On my anticipated arrival date, I received a call from the property inquiring about my upcoming stay and the credit card I intended to use. WHAT?!?!? I’ve NEVER had such a call!!! Not sure what the purpose was, but it shows total inexperience with basic hotel management skills. I had secured the room with the credit card my business travel department uses to handle all my arrangements and would use a different card at checkin that has my name on it. So what?!?!? I do this many times a year and have not had to respond to any such inquiry EVER!?!? At checkin, I noticed a lobby ‘refacing’. I hoped the same was true for the rooms— sadly it was not. The rooms remain untouched. At check out, I noticed my credit card had been processed 2 separate times for my 4 night stay. When I inquired, I was told that ‘the system’ processed my first night stay and then the remainder. ‘It does that.’ As a business traveler for over 20 years, I spend about 200 nights a year in various hotels at various locations and under various brands and I have NEVER experienced this!!! I recommend that ‘the system’ be changed as this is now going to be problematic for my business accounting system.

Disappointed stay. We are staying in a Comfort Inn on West Mifflin Pittsburgh Pa. stayed at numerous Comfort Inns over the years. This 1 was most disappointing. No HDTV in room which is hard for the visually impaired. Breakfast was very poor. No hard boiled eggs, no Greek yogurt, coffee tepid, no fresh fruit. This hotels has a lot of construction workers who live here during the course of their contract. They wipe out breakfast supplies yet no accommodations for the rest of the customers have been made. If you are going to accommodate these workers then increase their breakfast supplies. The personnel are the one shining star here. They are pleasant, courteous and as accommodating as they can be. The hotel is very clean and kept up. Another problem is there is no automatic opener at the main door. Very inconvenient for handicap and carts etc. we use to recommend this hotel to family but if you dont fix this stuff we will be staying at the Hampton Inn 2 doors down. It may cost a little more$$ but they have point rewards too.

CHOICE has changed!!. Platinum member for the past 3 years. This year the customer service has really taken a dive. In past years I was welcomed for being a Platinum member...being I travel a lot, I have repeatedly noticed the front desk help overall is severely lacking in being hospitable, which is odd because it appears to be across the board. No more "thanks for being a member with us", no offers for upgrades if a room was not satisfactory (or in a noisy location) as has been offered in the past, rather the help is abrubt and more interested in being on their cell phones than servicing their customers. Sadly, I will begin using my Best Western and Wyndham rewards as the overall feeling of being welcomed and appreciated is no more!!!!

Very easy to navigate. I have used a number of booking sites and always found choice to be easy. This is why I give it 5 stars. So the site is easy to use but Choice itself and the support when something goes wrong is pretty desperate to say the least. They are wholly unprepared and completely useless. It went down about a week ago and I was unable to log on. Support told me they know that they have a problem but no idea when it will be solved try back tomorrow! Guys you have to practice and prepare for this sort of catastrophe. Have a backup plan and solution ready to go at a moment’s notice. Saying try back later maybe tomorrow is not acceptable.

Disappointing. tonight’s stay has been interesting to say the least. computers down when we got here...i was patient with the lengthy check in process. We decided to eat at the restaurant. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side. Brought the salad with the dressing on it and they assumed i would just eat it. I turned it away and said i wouldn’t. New salad brought...dressing on the side WITH THE SAME CHICKEN FROM THE FIRST SALAD WITH DRESSING STILL ON IT. I don’t know if they attempted to wipe it off or lick it off in the kitchen but i took it back to the counter and asked them to take it off the bill. Manager came by twice awkwardly and merely offered free dessert. I had to go back to my room to grab a protein bar while my family ate their dinner. Also, the pool is in poor shape. Railings can be pulled out of the ground and the hot tub jets only sometimes work. Pool room is what I would describe as crusty. Would not recommend this place.

Tech savvy Boomer. This is a five star app because it works very well and it’s easy to use. I wish people would pay more attention to what they’re doing. This is where you rate and review the app, not your staying experience! Please rate and review your staying experience on your providers main website where it belongs. With that out of the way, this app works very well. I have been using it for a long time and it is easy to use. I have not had any problems with it. It keeps record of my stays, my points, my rewards, my reservations and my preferred payment method. And it makes reserving future stays very easy. I highly recommend this app.

Bad customer service. Stay Away From This Hotel Chain unless you want a headache trying to get anything done Tried to file a complaint with customer service I was on hold 2.5hrs on hold and got to talk to no one on sat April 3rd . Had the worst experience ever at a choice hotel on Friday April 2nd I booked a hotel room on the app and used my points got to the hotel and the lady sold my room I was locked into to a cash customer that was a walk in . So she didn’t care that I was a diamond member with a lot of stays under my account. She basically told me that it was already done and she was sold out and I would have to call customer service to get a refund. I called and the customer service lady was somewhat nice she refunded my points and the made me use double the points I had used to stay at a different hotel. When asked to file a complaint I was told that department was closed Friday night so Saturday afternoon I tryed again got booted off at 2.5 hrs of holding. Then tonight I was making a complaint using the app and it is showing a server problem so I can’t file my complaint. This has been the worst customer service I have ever had in my life dealing with a hotel company of this size . I have had same with smaller company’s . In my opinion until they take care of there customers they have had for the long haul They don’t need my business or money . .

broken app. We saved our points plus for a 4,000 mile, 14 day trip. (It’s a tough season to be a nurse and was looking forward to a much needed break.) The app did not show that reservations were made, error windows popped up, although the reservation went through. This resulted in two rooms reserved for one night and double reservations in two different states, two more nights. I discovered this immediately and after multiple calls with 30” holds got a rep who was not very helpful. I have spent four hours on separate calls with customer service and countless emails. They said it was my phone, although the app suddenly began working correctly by the end of our trip. Choice owes us 18,000 points and $72. They offered 10,000 points. No where close to what was lost. No one seems to care. Changing companies. Goodbye Choice hotels, you lost a long-standing customer.

The best. The hotel had a nice relaxing feel to it. During my stay I felt comfortable as if I hadn’t even left home. The pool and the gym were kept up extremely well. I never had a problem with my room. It was always kept in high standards thanks to the cleaning staff. Daylin, Veronica, Jesse, and Sandra were really good at their jobs I never had an issue. They were always nice to me. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would give them a 20 I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel with the. I would definitely recommend the Burlington Washington comfort suites to any and everyone coming this way. I will make another trip soon and to all the other staff they deserve 20’s too 😁😁😁

Metairie Sleep Inn. I don’t know where to start. Cindy was the best Manager to work with to make some reservations for my daughter’s graduation. Several times I had to call her about changes or just for information and she was always right on top of it and kind to work with. Our stay was a good one and none of my family had any complaints. There was a little issue with some missing change we had left on the dresser for several days. It just disappeared. Not a big deal but frustrating as there were also some receipts with it. Cindy made me feel like we were “family” and the rest of the staff were just wonderful. Those hot cookies around 5 also hit the spot. Will definitely stay there again if we head that way again.

Outstanding customer service. I had to cancel a prepaid, no refunds, no changes reservation I made when everything shut down during the Coronavirus outbreak. Although I had to wait nearly an hour on hold, when the customer service representative, Edwin, came on the line he was calm, professional, kind, and VERY understanding. Although I was not able to rebook this reservation immediately (I don’t know when we will be able to make this trip happen due to closures) I will definitely rebook with Choice Hotels! I was so grateful to be able to cancel with a full refund! Your hotel brand is always a first choice for me when traveling!

Go elsewhere!. The hotels and majority of stays I’ve had were for the most part terrible. All the management I’ve ever brought a concern to all act like I was privileged to stay in their crap hole rooms. I only stayed with my family at their locations as means of emergency like Covid and the fires we had in California. Then when I challenge the way management handled a situation I get banned from ever getting a room their again like the Burbank location. Then when I asked if I could change a room because the room either smelled like marijuana, or there was no functioning lock on a room door I’m met with hostility this was at the 818 hotel and pool, and not even compensated a nights stay. Trust me don’t use choice unless they get their act together and are under new management. Vegas would have competed me multiple nights without question, and at least have the descent mind to apologize for the actions taken.

Horrible customer service. Never had to write a bad review before .. but after reserving a hotel room 2 months ahead and calling to double check a few days before ..only to find out 600 miles later your room wasn’t available. Payed more for a room, step down from what I reserved. Customer service was horrendous on top of it. All were rude and flustered they had to work and figure out what was going on .. I stayed 7 days and house keeping came to change towels once after I complained. Didn't do anything else. Glad I didn’t have a third person with me cause they give you 2 rolls of toilet paper and two towels to shower and your forced to deal with it. There was no parking at night and I’d have to park in the other hotel down the street because I couldn’t leave the car out front the lobby. ...don’t book with this company bottom line is customer service isn’t what they are about. They just want to take your money and treat you like crap .. will never stay at these hotels again

supervisor MARKY and customer service are the WORSE!!!. IF I COILD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!!! When calling to ask about my bonus points earned during the spring 2018 promotion I was treated very rudely by the call center representative as well as the supervisor. The supervisor named Marky continuously lied to me and told me that there was no possible way for him to research the reference number for any of our stays. He also hung up the phone on me after I waited almost 30 minutes to get someone on the phone. After Marky hung up on me and I was forced to have to call the customer service number again. This time a representative answered the phone and was able to research the exact reference numbers that the previous supervisor, Marky swore couldn’t be researched. Proving the previous supervisor to be a lazy liar. Choice hotels has left a permanent bitter taste in my mouth. I urge anyone NOT to spend your money with a company who treats their paying customers like trash!!!

Not bad but.... I have been using this app for about a year and it’s usually quite handy, but on a recent booking they put me down as a prepay when I didn’t intend this. Either online or customer error, I’m still not sure which. I was not able (yet) to get a requested refund as a result, and when I arrived I found the hotel in which I had booked a 3-night stay was in the midst of a major renovation and conditions were terrible! I stayed only the first night and requested a refund for the remaining 2 nights. I’m very suspicious about this booking because this particular hotel, Comfort Inn in Kingman Az, had the worst customer service and hotel condition of my 10 years as a Choice Privileges member. But you couldn’t tell from the app. I lost almost $200 as a result of this. Be advised and careful when booking on the app. Know what you’re paying for before you submit.

Christmas Vacation. My husband and I stayed at Comfort Inn on Maiden Lane in White House Tennessee on December 24-28, 2020. Harry and Dimple are wonderful hosts! They are very accommodating and always friendly! They make sure the property is in tiptop shape!! We never worry about the place being clean as it would pass the white glove test every time we stay! When we are in the area there is no place else we would stay! Our family is about 30 minutes away but it is worth the drive! They had added handicap railings to the showers since we had been there and that was a nice addition. No problem giving them a Five Star rating! Thank you for a comfortable place to stay when we cannot be home!! Ken & Marcia Reed
