Great app but could you add this feature. I use my burner lines for my business and set it up so the burner number appears to my phone, however it would be useful if I could keep my setup the way it is but the phone number of the caller is displayed in the description screen of the incoming call from burner as I need to be able to separate my incoming calls per burner number and the only way I can do that is by maintaining the incoming calls to display as the burner number but I’d like to see the incoming callers number displayed somewhere on the screen that displays my burner number as well..... My other feature request is I make 100 calls per day using my subscribed burner number and I’d like to be able to search my history of phone calls by the last 4 digits of the incomings phone number. That would allow me to easily search through my history of phone calls to find a call I may have made earlier.... Otherwise great app.... I wanted to add I realized I could search last 4 digits of a phone number in burner past calls using search of iPhone and it locates number in burner app and takes me right there. That allows me to do what I have to do :)

Great App except for ONE thing. So I needed a phone asap that works without subscription and on Wi-Fi. This app came to my rescue. It really does work great as a phone line and texting. The ONLY thing that makes it inconvenient is the notifications does not work to your phone. For example, if you get a text you have to open the app in order to have knowledge of the text. You will not receive a notification on your phone as you would for messages from your email or social media. The calls do go through, however. You will never miss a call but you may fall behind if texts if you are not mindful to open the app periodically throughout the day. It really is the o ly reason I could not give more then 3 stars. Hopefully they fix it soon or make it optional in their settings.

Burner app is not good at all. Great idea, especially for a business. But after gaining a real phone line I wanted to end my auto-renew subscription number but Burner App has made it nearly impossible to do so. There is no way to actually do it through the app. Then after having to Google how, you have to go on their website. After gaining access by entering your account information there is a link button to cancel subscription. But then a message pops up saying it’s not a web account and to further cancel the account it has to be done through the App Store or Google play store….. hmmm this being an app, I’m assuming that all accounts are not web accounts and how exactly would any account cancellations be done through the App Store? So heed my warning if you’re pondering upgrading to a subscription line number which will require auto pay. They don’t make it easy to cancel your account as I am still waiting for them to respond even to my emails let alone cancel my account

Horrible, Spam experience!. This has been the most horrible experience! I signed up for a burner number, & downloaded this app, to advertise a truck I have for sale. In the past 2-1/2 days, I have received over a dozen spam text messages & at least 73 spam phone calls! Day & night! All routed through the app & sent to my regular phone number. The service is calling random people & then calling my line, with those random people’s numbers showing up. When I answer, the confused people are asking me who I am, why I called them, etc. But, they “called” me! On some of the calls I don’t answer, I tried calling back to follow up & it was the same thing... They had never called me & had no clue what was going on, even though their numbers were showing up as missed calls. So, I said “forget this nonsense!” & I logged out of the account, then deleted the app. But, STILL, I kept receiving the automated spam calls! I finally had to just block the “burner” number that I was given so I wouldn’t keep having to deal with this nonsense! It’s been insane! This will be the last time I ever use this! How do I disconnect my line completely from this burner number???

Absolutely horrible customer support. My experience with this app has been horrible. Even after you’ve been a longtime subscriber, they don’t help you when you need issues fixed just to be able to login to their app. I’ve reached out now, 5 times over the past 3 weeks, and each time I reach out to them, both via email and through their contact link on their website, I initially get an response from customer service who seem willing to help. And each time, I respond to their requested information, I don’t hear any reply whatsoever. Then I have to reach back out to them again the next day. This has been such a horrible experience that seems to be easily corrected, and even preventable, but if you have any issues, don’t expect ANY kind of help from this developer. I will cancel my subscription and push all of my colleagues to do the same.

Jump through hoops “cancel subscription” method.. This site is a hardcore money grab. They offer a free trial yet immediately try to charge my card and the number didn’t even work. The very first time I tried to use it as a verification number on google I get an error telling me that the number isn’t even valid! Seriously? The whole point of your app is to provide phone numbers and you can’t even do that competently? Then when you want to cancel you have to jump through hoops to get it done. There’s no clear cut, cancel subscription option. You have to “email” them with details of your account (which is stupid because they obviously know enough to charge you right away) then you still have to go into the app and “delete” the account. Only scammers who want to take your money make it this difficult to cancel. STAY AWAY, THEIR NUMBERS DONT EVEN WORK ANYWAY.

Some bugs lately. I’ve used the app for quite a few years and it’s been very helpful. Overall, it’s been a dependable service that gets the job done. I’m glad to see group conversations were added as a feature and so far that’s worked well. I’m also so relieved that editing text has improved, especially when copying and pasting into Burner. Although the past few months there have been quite a few bugs that have surfaced in other areas for me. Firstly, hyperlinks are no longer touchable in my messages. I have to copy the whole message into the Notes app and then copy and paste just the URL into Safari. Secondly, I’m not getting notifications for all of my new messages. I do have a few conversations muted, so maybe that’s a factor. But as soon as I open the app, I suddenly have a notification badge appear. But only when opening the app first.

Infinitely easier than having multiple phones. If you know what a burner phone is, then you already understand the concept behind this app. Except, it's SO MUCH better because you only need a single phone to use multiple phone numbers. How it works: you pick a phone number, and give that number to people. They call the number, which then calls your own phone's number. The caller never learns your "real" number, so it stays completely safe. If you never want that person to contact you again, you can burn the number you gave them, and that's it. They can't get in touch anymore. The only challenge with using the app, which you quickly get use to, is you must press the "1" button to accept an incoming call. After you do it a few times it becomes a habit and is not a big deal. I highly recommend this app, I use it all the time and find it to be very reliable and convenient.

Caution: Disreputable Business Practices. Like others, I had my service terminated without notice for reportedly ‘Violating Terms of Service’. The phone number was used, as per the advertising and their own Terms of Service acceptable practices, to be forwarded to my phone. Couldn’t have been a more low key and compliant customer. A year paid in advance yielded about 6 months of utility. Cut off. No warning. No reason given by Support (quick to respond as they were, which gave them the star) when contacted other than ‘Terms of Service’ (not indicating to which one they are referring) and ‘contact legal’. To date no response has been received by legal despite multiple requests for justification. Not a business I would recommend supporting. It seems that any issue A: Is not brought to the attention of a customer to address, which, in the least is just good business practice by reputable firms, and B: Is met with the same rote answer, hiding behind some ‘catch all’ that, while on paper seems clear, is interpreted by them and therefore ambiguous at best. When asking for any clarification, you will receive no real response. But on the bright side, they’ve prohibited me from wasting more money as I’ve been banned from the App for bringing the matter to their attention with an inquiry. Buyer beware, it’s a crap shoot.

App is great, mostly for screen readers. I am a blind screen reader user using voiceover on an iPhone 11 Pro 64 GB. I have one favor update the apps please make sure that the buttons are labeled with words and as well as images. For example, one of the buttons says cigarette I don’t know what that button is and I’m afraid to push it. And I have encountered another issue. I don’t know if this is a screen, reader, issue, or the layout of the app, but when I am scrolling through Messages, it shows me an old message first, and then I have to scroll all the way up to the top left of the screen to see the new messages. All in all, I’m very satisfied with the app it helps me to stay engaged with my clients and be more productive. Thank you for making this app more accessible in the months to come.

Best Burner Phone Number App on the Appstore. These guys charge a fraction of the price for numbers that 95% of these other companies are charging exorbitant amounts for. I have had burner for 2 years now and I have not found any other app that even comes close to what Had Hoc Labs does. Burner is extremely efficient too and I almost never have a problem making or receiving calls from other clients. Best of all, the customer service is elite, the only time ever had an issue is recently and they responded to my email within 24 hours and immediately fixed my problem within their server. I usually do not leave reviews like this but I was compelled to make one after discovering how bad these other competitor phone number apps actually are.

Doesn’t cut the cake. Burner app Works for the most part You can make calls from your burner number Get texts and send them And get voicemails when the app wants to work The only problem is when the burner number rings for incoming calls it either goes straight to voicemail or doesn’t record the voicemail at all if the rings settings is turned off. When you do get incoming calls you get a notification saying missed call. If you tap the notification it calls out using your real number. Which defeats the purpose of having a second number. The app doesn’t ring for incoming calls Doesn’t matter if the settings are changed in the app or on my phone I was liking the app and paid for a month but won’t be using them going forward because the features don’t work as they say they should I never used the call forwarding feature on the app because I got a new number before using this app so I didn’t have any numbers to forward but since using the app I’ve accidentally call some people tapping on the notifications from the burner app It should of dialed out using the burner number but doesn’t That’s the biggest problem I have with the app but it’s been glitchy since downloading it

Works as intended. It does exactly what it’s supposed to. The only downside is not being able to set a different ringtone for the burner line, and still show the caller’s incoming phone number at the same time. Currently you have to set Burner to display YOUR own burner number as the incoming phone number when someone calls that line. You save your burner number into your phone’s contact list and set a separate ringtone for that phone number. However, since the caller ID shows your burner number, you can’t screen who’s calling you that way. It will display the caller’s phone number in your call history so you still have access to the number after the call. Overall good app though and I was even able to get a local area which I was unable to do through even google voice.

This app has so much potential but…. The app is good but can be great, however the developers seem to do the bare minimum 1. The developers got rid of Face ID unlock - this was much better than having to put a pin in each time you want to unlock 2. When you edit a contact and hit save the photo, notes, and the number the contact belongs to don’t always save 3. No capability of sending video MMS 4. An option to assign a different ringtone and test message tone is missing - If you want to distinguish between your burner texts vs other texts you can’t because there is no option to pick notification tones 5. The design looks like something from the 80’s - it would be great if the UI reflected the iOS standards - rounded corners etc. Looks like a 15 year old built the app and did nothing to make it aesthetically pleasing 6. Why would you have the option to pick colors for each number but limit the color choices to just a few colors. Provide a color selection tool rather than these pail boring colors 7. Also what is the point of changing the icon of it still says burner underneath the icon.

App doesn’t working perfectly with contacts access ON. Greetings, recently I am having a problem with the app, when I give access to my contacts and I enter the app it takes a long time to present me the list of conversations, however it freezes, do not load my chats and do not send or receive my messages either, it takes a long time to normalize and once the app is stable everything works fine and my contacts saved on my iphone appear but if I exit the app to another one or home screen when I return to burner the it happens the same thing but if I turn off the access of burner app to my contacts everything works perfect but without having any of my saved contacts just number show up. I think it's a bug that needs to be fixed but it's very annoying and the support doesn't help at all through mail. I NEED TO SEE ALL MY CONTACT AND THE APP WORK PERFECTLY WITH THE ACCESS TO MY CONTACTS “ON”

Oops - update & excellent customer service. I got this app instead of having to carry a 2nd phone for work. I paid for a year subscription, but kept getting notices that my number was going to “expire”. I double checked to make sure the subscription had gone through, which it had, so I didn’t think much of it. Well, my subscription is good… but the number I was using was “burned”. So then I had to pick a new number which meant I had to go back & update all my work info so I could be reached if needed. Update!! The Burner team was able to retrieve my original number so I could continue to use it for work. I really appreciate the excellent customer service!

Awesome App for Second or multiple phone numbers. Great app easy to use and fast. The only thing that bothers me is when I receive a phone call it always starts with this annoying automated message which says, “press 1 to accept phone call press 2 to decline” or something along those lines. If the developers can remove that and just make it seamless where whenever we pick up the phone it just answers it automatically would be nice. I’m driving sometimes and get a call from my second number and then I have to press the 1 on my phone which is really just annoying. Other then that small issue everything has worked great and I like this all better then all the others one!

Very useful application. I’ve been very pleased with this app. It works as advertised. I regularly use it so I don’t have to give out my real number on sites like craigslist. The service isn’t free, but I would not expect it to be. I like how it gives me the option to get rid of a temp number right after use, or keep it for as long as I may choose to. I can also have multiple lines active at once. The only issue I have had has nothing to do with the developers. Some of the numbers it activates receive an excessive amount of spam callers. This is annoying at times but that is a risk you will always run into when getting a new phone number, as it has most likely been used by someone else before.

Not a good choice - scam app. Update to whoever responded: The details speak to the “problem” you (burner) are having. Your support does nothing other than send a generic email that there is. I thing they can do and to contact legal. Email to legal bounces back. And I see you just charged me again, so this means you are a scam. I used this app for a long time. I launched it today and the app was reset. Tried to login and couldn’t. I got some message that the account is no longer active. I know they just billed me last week or so, so it’s not a payment issue. I emailed their support and after a long wait, they said there is nothing they can tell me. Um what? So all of the communication I have had from using this service for a year is gone. Did the account get hacked? That was my experience. I am a regular user who had regular texts and calls with regular people. What the heck? Clearly I won’t trust this app again. You should think about it before you subscribe. If you don’t care about your communication and it’s ok if it disappears, then go for it. Otherwise, if you do care, look for a different service. There are many.

They scam you for the first month. Before the end of my free trial I emailed to make SURE they knew I wanted to cancel. They wrote back: In regards to the subscription, that must be cancelled through your iTunes account. Keep in mind, deleting your Burner account will not automatically cancel your iTunes based subscription and you will be charged the renewal fees until it is manually cancelled. Let us know what we can do to help, and if you’d still like your account deleted, just confirm that for me and I’ll start the process. SERIOUSLY? Let them know??? What the heck do they think the email said?? That I was still considering keeping it????? They scam you for the first month and then let you go but they get $10 off of you before you leave. UPDATE: I got a second email AGAIN giving me instructions to let them know if I want to cancel. THREE TIMES I said I wanted to, how many times do they need? They said they’d send a confirmation text to ensure I’m the owner. No text ever came. They keep you hooked and won’t let you go!!

Almost as good as text messaging. This service works almost as well as the texting service provided by your cellular phone company. And it has much more compatibility than Google Voice; it works with most services that I've tried (though a few will still reject any VoIP number). And it can receive MMS/picture messages and send them too (for a fee). The app, on the other hand, has a few rough edges. Notably, trying to position the insert cursor, doesn't show you the text as you move, leaving you to guess where the cursor will land. Also, renewal reminders are hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get reminded that your burner is about to expire; sometimes you won't. And even when it works, it may only give you an hour or two advance warning. Too bad for you if you're busy when that happens. Expired Burners disappear and take your number and all your messages along with them. Also, this app drains your phone battery like nothing I've ever seen. Like streaming video. Like continuous GPS navigation. Even if you're idle waiting for texts to appear, your battery will die quickly. It makes me suspicious about what the app is doing behind the scenes. Other than that, the service is great for times that you don't want to use your permanent, identifiable cellular phone number. And it's reasonably priced.

Use to be awesome. Now it's got all sorts of changes from original program that are annoying especially for what I use it for and have for years collections. When you type in numbers it won't show previous texts so you have to send a message to see old text of find it in list which is nearly impossible. It use to function like regular phone land pull up previous messages when you text. This also causes issues if you fat finger a number I am constantly sending to wrong people because I can't tell or see if I sent them a message before. When you copy a message and then try to delete part of the message like name or another part of it then it takes you to the end of the paragraphs and you start typing over what's already there. They broke an awesome program now it's just annoying. Don't make changes if you can't keep what was working the same and just add upgrades. I reached out about fixing they haven't done anything it's horrible service.

Unbelievably broken. I’ve never written an app review but I have to write one for this new update of Burner. I’ve been using this app for 5 years and I am leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the previous 4 years. Ever since burner’s redesign my app is almost completely broken. This more closely resembles something in an alpha stage. The app is totally unresponsive every time I use it. It doesn’t register taps and when it does it’s 20 seconds late to respond. The bugs don’t allow me to type or to move my cursor through text. The app crashes or freezes and requires a force close and restart almost every time I use it (which is daily 10-20x a day) Notifications don’t show up with the contacts name ever. They show up with some phone number that as far as I can tell is totally random. I could list the problems here for days but I don’t want to spend any more time doing so. I would really appreciate if Burner reached out to me and helped me figure out how to make this app perform a little bit better.

Used to love it!. The app used to work well. Then in December I purchased a verified number. I’m fine to purchase the service but since then I’m no longer receiving messages. I can see the tagline on the Home Screen yet when I open the conversation, there are ONLY my messages. That’s it. I deleted and reinstalled the app since nothing would work. Now I don’t even see messages in the conversation that I JUST sent… what the fart??? For a paid service and two paid numbers, the app should work!!! I don’t think that this is an unrealistic expectation! I reached out to customer support yet based on the reviews here, I may never hear from them. Very disappointing and frustrating 🤬 I was able to connect with customer support. It took a couple of attempts yet in the end, they reset things on their end. I then deleted the app once more and now everything is working again so I changed my 1⭐️ review back to 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you for setting things straight!

PICTURE MESSAGING DOES NOT WORK!. I had a client pay nearly $500 USD to have my phone number. I chose this Burner app because it offered picture messages that I could send and receive. Once I paid for the best plan, I quickly realize none of my photos were going through. I couldn’t send them to myself or my client. It looked like they went through but we never received them. I messaged support and they told me it should work, and to uninstall the app and reinstall... so I did that, and when I logged back in it actually made me pay AGAIN, but tbh the money wasn’t the issue. I can afford a few bucks, but I NEEDED this to work as someone paid me hundreds for it. So reinstalling it didn’t work. I messaged support again and they said they could offer me another line for free, which I didn’t want bc my client already had “my number,” so it would be weird to change it so soon, but I said as long as it worked I’d figure it out. Setup that new line, tested it out, same exact issue. I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Taking the photos within the Burner app itself. Their latest email said the specs of my photos are correct and that it should work... (but it doesn’t). And then they said the only thing they can do is offer a refund, but since it was purchase in the App Store, they CANT process a refund... LOL they contradicted themselves in the same sentence. Ridiculous products. If you need picture messages. DONT USE THIS APP!

All my calls and texts?. It doesn’t seem to get ALL incoming texts and calls. I also understand there’s an option to display the burner number when incoming calls are coming in, OR the number that is calling you. Is there a way to do both? Can the app be designed to receive a call from someone and display their number, but also identify that they are actually calling the burner number that is coming through? Maybe a symbol or icon that represents flames or the app logo to let you know that a caller actually called the burner number and not your real number, even though it’s displaying the callers number? For example, my friend calls my burner number… and I have it set up to display caller ID… but I have no idea what number they dialed… it just shows “incoming call from…”, and it would be nice if it showed the caller ID, but ALSO displayed if the called your burner number or regular number. This makes a huge difference when actually answering calls.

Avoid this. Wasn't a bad app when I had it some time ago. Now it seems they're just money sharks. The interface is clunky and poorly designed, it's really just a headache-inducing carousel that continuously circles back to upselling for premium services. Most of the functionality of the app seems to be to get you to spend more money on the service rather than actually providing one. I remembered it as being advertised as $4.99 for a number with unlimited calls/texts. I would have done that. However all I could find was a tab trying to sell me premium accounts I don't need for hundreds of dollars uptick or "credits" for X number of calls per a given period. No thanks. Maybe you still can get the 4.99/ mo unlim for a single burner deal somehow. Dunno. You should have made it more apparent vs focusing on only upselling. Will try Hushed now. Maybe the same, we'll see.

Avoid it! New subscription model has changed everything!. I’ve used Burner for years at this point and loved it. I’ve recommended it to plenty of people. Like most people (I presume) I use it for things like Craigslist where I need to text or call but don’t want my real number out there. It was perfect. I don’t use it all the time, but every few months I’d log in and pick up a few lines as I went through selling stuff. Well I just logged back in and was disappointed to discover that Burner has joined the ranks of so many tech companies to completely misread their market and try to cash grab on subscriptions. It would be fine if I could just ignore the subscription option, but they’ve removed all but one option for the credit-based lines. Now you have to buy the 8 credit line with 100 texts and 50 minutes, there are no other choices. I used always prefer the 250 text line as it was much better for selling posts since you get a ton of texts. They’ve crippled their old business to push you towards a subscription you might not need. I’ll have to find a new app to use for selling. Really disappointed here…

Great with a few occasional texting glitches. I used this app for online dating and it really is the best! I love how I can send pictures and also create a contact for each caller. Luckily I never had to used the “ghost” feature because there was 1 great person I ended up giving my real number to. And the other guys never texted back after I told them I wasn’t interested, so we’re good on that too. Keep in mind— you cannot use Bluetooth while using the app. I tried it once in my car and it failed. You have to answer directly from your cellphone, there’s isn’t an option to answer from a wireless source. Second thing— glitches. Twice in 2 months (90% success rate) I worked through mis-communications because a text I sent never made it to the guy and a text he sent me I never received. If the text is too long, it won’t go through. Better to send many small texts, not a paragraph. Even better to talk over the phone. Just be aware of this so you don’t jump to conclusions and think the other person is a jerk for not replying or answering in a way that has nothing to do with your last response.

Crashes constantly , moves slow , needs to be fixed. I have had this app for over 3 years. I like the concept of the app . But it needs work on functionality. For this app to charge you monthly for the phone lines, you would think the app would operate better because they are making a ton of money. The app constantly freezes , closes , is delayed , crashes , has tons of spam blockers that prevent messages from being sent if you are sending the same type of message multiple times for business purposes. The app moves extremely slow . I’m constantly waiting on it to catch up and allow me to send a text . I hope they are able to fix these problems. I like being able to have other phone lines for my business . But I hate how slow it runs . There are a ton of free apps that do the same thing . They need to fix their application system.

Great way to protect your personal phone number from data mining. This app pays for itself in value. I got sick of getting robocalls constantly, so I purchased a burner subscription in the hopes of using it in lieu of my personal number on websites etc to keep my personal phone more private. I use the burner number for basically anything that wasn’t super important/personal— every time I’m prompted for a phone number on a website I purchase something from, every time I need to give an app my phone number to “verify” an account, etc, I use the burner number. I can already tell it’s working because I’ve begun getting spam texts and calls on the burner line, probably mined from the various apps and websites I’ve used it on. Once I get enough spams etc at that number, I can just burn it and get a new burner line. Kind of neat!

Great Concept - Unreliable. Love the idea for this app. I sell things on Craigslist and using my actual # was getting me added to massive SMS spam groups. Worked great the first month. Just renewed and notifications stopped working. Only other thing that changed was update the other day to 12.1.4. Sometimes I'll get notified of texts, sometimes I won't. Even when I do, upon opening the conversation, the app hasn't updated with the text (even if it was present in the notification)! The only way I can see it in those instances is to force-close and reopen the conversation. Other times, I never get a notification and when I go back to check, the other person texted me what seems like hours ago. It only shows me the last time I sent a message, so I'm not sure. This needs to be fixed. I won't be renewing this month if it's not. Also, there should be a time stamp on every message. Either via pulling to the side like in Messages or long/3d-touching a message.

Accessibility. Hello, could you please make this app more cleaner, a more accessible for people with disabilities who use screen reading software on their phone such as for the iPhone their screen reader is called voice over. For Google it’s called Google talk back. I don’t know if Windows has a screen reader for any windows related phones. The buttons on your app, and how they’re set up, and other options are not clearly defined and easily accessible when trying to create a voicemail message, or how to make sure that your account is active. Please make these adjustments. There is a federal law called the Americans with disabilities act of 1990 has been amended and in that act all companies need to make their websites and apps and other things accessible for people of all types of disability. This is a great app. You just need to make it more user-friendly. For everybody. Especially people with disabilities. We are important too. More companies need to pay attention to making things accessible. For people with disabilities. If companies do not. They can be sued. I encourage companies if you’re not sure how to make things accessible. Reach out to Apple. Reach out to Google. Find out what their best practices are for making their website an apps more accessible.

You read all these reviews and think it wont happen to you. But it will. Account terminated without any reason. Was a super low key customer. I only used burner for streaming services and it allowed me to keep my real number private. Only used it for well known subscriptions services and all for valid uses (no making dupe accounts or anything shady). They suspended my account and told me they “do not disclose suspension reasoning”. Ridiculous. Have been paying for this for a year. Would not recommend burner. I saw this in plenty reviews before I started using burner and figured it wont happen to me. It did. And it will happen to you too. I should also mention that there have been little to no feature updates in the past year apart from a very small color scheme change. I would not recommend this app one bit. There are plenty of other options to choose from as far as 2nd number services go.

“Account error”. Your support service is the worst have ever come across. I’ve been writing your support about my account being suspended for no reason and anytime I want to login it keep saying account error and I should contact your support for help but have done that since last week and there is no response back about reinstating my account back. I do have an active 3 line monthly subscription on it which you guys didn’t allow me to use because of your selfish interest, you also didn’t allow me to use another email to get another number since I have an active subscription for 3 lines which I find so absurd. All I want to say is that you people are a scam and a sham for ripping me off my money

Worst EVER ***SCAM APP***. Had the app for a couple of months, all of a sudden went to login and my account was inactive. A few days prior I started not being able to send text messages so I reached out to customer support who looked into the issue and said they were able to duplicate the issue on their end but I needed a new phone number, but would not say why or what happened. I said that would be ok but I needed client info, as their app doesn’t save “contacts” on your phone like other apps, they refused to give me any access or Information from any of my clients that were in the app. They said my account was made inactive due not following their terms and conditions. I have no idea what they’re talking about. Makes no sense and they would not give any details. I run a 501c3 non profit dog rescue and used it so I did not have to give out my personal cell phone number to adopters. This is s scam and will be reported for taking a year’s subscription fee from me and cancelling with no explanation or refund……

Not working as of last version (5.4.11). Similar to other reviews, it used to work - albeit with hiccups - before the last update (5.4.11). After that, messages/conversations show empty when opened. That is, a tagline is visible for text messages or voice mail notifications on the Home Screen / conversation list. When opening any conversation, however, no text messages or voice mails are visible, rendering the paid number useless as no messages in the history can be read nor voice mails listened to. Even more unacceptable is that contacting support via email - the only option they seem to allow - has been ignored and unanswered. Will see if a negative review is as incentivizing to garner a response as it has proven to be in the case of other poor reviews here. Edit 1: 3 x 3 = ZERO: 3 weeks since this app’s support email was contacted and 3 days since review was posted. ZERO responses, app still not functional while being paid for. Edit 2: Thank you for the developer standard response to contact you by email. I had contacted you by email only to be told in effect that this is a bug that cannot be resolved other than by a new version of the app. No time line for when such a release may be planned. Also declined to provide access to an earlier version of the app without this bug or provide a refund for the months the app has been not functional. Zero stars review stands for zero resolution over more than a month.

Horrible. I used to love burner! Truly! I used it as my second number for work calls and messages so I didn’t have to close off my whole phone when I’m off work. But omg, after they did the new upgrade it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE TO USE IT. I can’t find numbers, messages don’t get saved, it’s really hard to type if you want to add something and/or use space and/or edit anything at the beginning of the sentence after you wrote it, I can only type one letter and it gets me back to the end of the whole message so I have to delete and rewrite it, I can’t copy paste it. Disaster. If that wasn’t bad enough, burner became the slowest operating app I ever used. It freezes, slow down, gets me out of the app in the middle of messaging, I can’t talk on the phone and type simultaneously. Honestly, get the old version of it back for gods sake. The experience of using it became very very uncomfortable.

When it works, it's great. Have been using the app for a couple of months and in between subscription renewal time, it works great! Both times at monthly renewal, despite all going well with my payment (auto pay, Apple confirms active subscription), the number suddenly disappeared and I no longer had an account. Support has been very responsive (Thank you!) and both times this happened they fixed it, but also, both times I went an extended period of time without access to the number I paid for and without access to my old messages: this is a problem. I am waiting to see what happens for month 3: will you have fixed the problem at subscription renewal time, or will I lose access to my number and messages again? This is a potentially very useful app but not if it stops working temporarily every month requiring tech support intervention to reinstate service. Fingers crossed they have addressed the problems...

After reading another post.... You use a phone number that might have been used before. Which means you might get calls expecting someone or something else. What I do is wait and see the contact then return call/ text if it was someone I knew or expected. Best service, has saved me in ways you’d have to think about if you had a string of bad luck. Update to Dev(8:48, 13 June 2019): I love your service and I was just trying to explain to others. It’s not your number even if you get spam, the spam comes from previous owners/users of the number. Burn the number and use a different number. This service is such a useful and blessing. I’d rather give a number out that isn’t my personal number of 5-10+years to all the places that have “said they don’t sell your info” or potential crazy.

New policy 👎🏼👎🏼. Months ago I would have given this app a five star review. it has been one of my go to apps for many years. anytime I am buying or selling online always set up a Burner it’s cheap and then when you’re done you just burn 🔥 it. The problem their new policy. you can no longer extend your burners. If you want to keep the number past the length of time or the amount of texts, phone calls that you are allotted, you can no longer just pay a little extra money and extend it. the only way you can keep the number is to subscribe and the cheapest subscription they have is $1499 per month and that’s just way too expensive. Come on burner lower the price to something reasonable like what it used to be. I think it was five dollars a month before, to subscribe ,you will get way more subscribers. As for now 👎🏼

Six hotdogs eight buns. In the same way that it doesn’t make sense how there’s different numbers of buns then there are hot dogs in the grocery store, the same here with the number of credits that they sell in packs versus how much the different services costing credits so you always end up like just one or two credits short with you change from the last purchase. On top of that the subscription system I’m not sure if this is an Apple thing or an app thing but There certainly problems when it will either tell you that the purchase was successful or tell you it was unsuccessful because you arty have a subscription but that I would never let me make a number from that credit and repeated out reach to customer service field in them Knowledge Ing in the problem at all

Spam calls?. I downloaded this app for a small purpose of not revealing my phone number if I have to verify something (which verification on some apps don’t even work). I used my real phone number to get the burner. I have not ever gotten random calls from number that I don’t even know of until I put my real number into this app. Take note that I didn’t send a single message or call using the burner number, as I had no use for it, so then I burned the number right after I download the app then deleted the app. The next morning, I received random calls from people in which I don’t even know who they are. I don’t know if they are spam callers or just people who got my number somehow and one even tried to FaceTime me. I have blocked a few of the numbers because one had repeatedly tried calling me and I texted them and asked them who they are. They said a name in which I didn’t know of and then I told them they had the wrong number. Please tell me how I can stop this and why this happens.

Used to be great, now not so much. Used to work for phone verification, no longer works for tinder, no longer works for okcupid, doesn’t work for google verification. It’s still good to use for stuff like craigslist when you dont want to give out your real number. This problem is not completely burner app’s fault, more to do with these dumb companies who want to data mine you and sell your number. I get constant spam calls on my real number and using burner numbers is a defense against that trash. The whole phone number system is broken and outdated. We need a better way to protect our numbers from these sites that sell them to spammers. I am tired of the car insurance bot calls i get every day. So yeah burner needs to find new numbers that pass verification or at least warn users that this app will not work on certain sites. Again it used to be great and I used it with tinder and a bunch of apps and it worked fine. It still works with Bumble for now but that’s likely due to bumble not checking whatever voip number lists that google and match group(owns tinder and okcupid) are now using. I’ll still use it for giving out my number to randos on craigslist etc but worthless now for sms verification for most sites.

Terrible customer service!. I have now been waiting almost 36 hours for a response from the Burner team, after sending at least 3 messages to their support email. I have had an auto-renewing line for more than six months. I recently changed the number (for the first time) and their system automatically burned it (deleting all the text messages at the same time???!!!) three days before it was set to renew? When I received an alert that my number was set to burn, I contacted support, expressing my confusion—after all, my subscription was paid. They eventually replied, asking for my number. I immediately answered. When I got another alert, I wrote again. And again. Nothing! No response! Then I received an alert that my number had been burned and all messages deleted! I wrote to Burner again, and that was Saturday afternoon. It is now after 11am on Monday and I have had no response from the company. That is not acceptable support and I am very displeased. Mind you, they still have my money and I fully expect to be changed again in two days. Use this service at your own risk and copy everything immediately. :(

Very confusing termination of account.. I went to send a text and the app said. “Every once in a while we have to confirm your phone number” , It doesn’t say if they want your burner, or actual number. I tried one, then the other. Both times it said they weren’t able to send the verification text because my phone needs me to update international call settings to an approved country? No info was given how to do this. I sent a really rude email to them. Very rude. Everything instantly makes me angry being locked at home. Anyway, I get a email saying activity on my account violates their terms of service and my account is cancelled and to email their legal Dept if I want more information? I sent replaced and asked, “what are you taking about??”. Rec reply that said legal handles all terminations and to email them. I guess if your curse at them via email they will cancel your service. On to the next app I guess. I was reading reviews and someone mentioned using their burner number for Craigslist or something. I’m not sure, but about 30 min before they cancelled my account, I used the burner number as contact for a online credit account application. I used it because I don’t want 500 calls from telemarketers. I’m not sure, but maybe they don’t allow that? But how would they know anything about me giving it to credit application?? It’s strange.

Potential to be the best…but. It’s been a year since I purchased the monthly subscription. So far, it’s been good. It does what it supposed to do. This app uses your phone line to make a call, which i like. It doesn’t show your real number. Also, it has do not disturb feature which is awesome and you are able to control it. Sometimes, it has some glitches, but very rare. You can receive and send calls and pictures. It even supports some GIFs. I would love this app to be able to have video capabilities and voice messages. At least short videos for like 1 to 3 mins or so. Hopefully this feature will be available this year. Besides that, it’s a great app. I would of give it a 5 star but, because it doesn’t have the video capabilities I’ll give it a 4.

Unsafe!!!! Bad idea to use with business purposes. I got a burner number to use in my card business as an hairdresser. At the beginning it was working well for calling, texting with my customers. One day, it stop working and I downloaded again the app and asked me to pay again and my phone number just disappeared; so I just stopped using the app and missed new clients which just can contact me through the burner number. Then, a few old customers asked me about why my my “telegram app” (which connect the contacts numbers automatically) have nude pictures of teenagers in the stories; when I checked and tried to contact, someone was responding me with txt messages with se;:al content. That was a terrible experience! The customers who know me, they can tell I’m not involved with this; but those who don’t know must being thinking the worse. I’m a mother of 3 kids and I share this number with several parents in the school of my kids. Definitely do not use this app!!

I cancelled. After using this app for over a year I have found the numbers accepted less often by systems but the final nail was related to the subscription system. For months as I try to create a new number it would ask me to change my subscription or pay with credits and I always have to find the right way in to finally get it to create a new number. Today when I tried to get a new number it showed that I was using 2/3 numbers available but wanted me to upgrade my subscription. I finally gave in and picked my existing subscription 3 numbers paid monthly $10, it was very clearly highlighted and hit subscribe. It took me to the App Store verification screen and showed 10 numbers paid annually $240. Thankfully I saw this and cancelled, tried it a few more times and then gave up and cancelled my subscription completely. This is either a major error or an attempted scam, either one is a very good reason to stop using the app.

Fraudulent, DO NOT USE. Phone numbers provided by this app are not functional, and are not accepted by any social media companies as valid. Contacted support for a refund, was told they cannot process refunds but to contact the App Store, and they would not oppose refund process. They lied and have opposed multiple attempts to have refund processed. UPDATE The developer responses are disingenuous and the app is a scam and fraudulent.

Can’t call non-US numbers. The user flow doesn’t show me that I can only get US and Canadian numbers, untili bought a subscription. Once I did get one, I could not call any international numbers with it. It was pointless for what I needed, and I only found that out after I’d paid 20-something dollars for a month subscription.

Subscriptions are ridiculous. I purchased a bunch of credits - and then they changed to a subscription model and I can no longer use the credits I paid for. As soon as I find an alternative app I’m cancelling this.

Used to work well, but now not sending texts. Update: In the newest update to the app, the text doesn't scroll downward as you get to the bottom of the visible text box. Really lame; I have to compose a text in my Notes app, then copy/paste it into the app. This used to be a good app for me, but seems "buggy" now. This app used to work really well, but in the last week or so has started to randomly not send multiple texts. I don't trust it anymore, and will need to look for something else more reliable.

Pointless for me. I need a phone number in order to make a phone number. The only reason I got this app is because I don’t have one. There’s no other way to make the number. You’d think an email would be enough, but apparently not 🙄

Extremely slow, requires reinstalling frequently. Works well for a short time. It takes 10 seconds for messages to load. Another delay to open a message. Go to type and what I write will appear 10 seconds later. Sending a message takes another 15 seconds. If I uninstall and reinstall the app works properly for a couple days then back to the slowest possible messaging experience ever. I have to keep my phone number so I stick with it but it is extremely frustrating.

Continues to get worse and worse. Do NOT download this app. Use TEXTNOW instead. I have been using Burner for about 5 years and the app just keeps getting worse. Takes FOREVER to load messages and the suppoet could care less.

Owner of this business of a criminal. I thought this was a safe app to use as a victim of human trafficking but it’s not. I received a call from my own number as a means of intimidation. Do not give your money to this business or trust them with your data.

Terrible After Update. I have been a Burner user for many many years, perhaps since it was launched…and I can say with enormous disappointment your latest update is terrible in many ways; UI, user experience, removal of features, app inconsistency, etc. Who designed the UI? The person should go back to industrial design school. The previous version was fantastic and worked very very well and much more user friendly. It seems you guys were bought by another, much lower-tiered company. I will start looking at another apps who can provide similar features as the previous Burner. Terrible update.

Garbage.. Just signed up for a free trial, it automatically charged my credit card $27, I’ll be lodging a complaint with Apple.

Don’t deliver what they sell. It’s supposed to be unlimited but there is a daily limit on the number of calls. They told me I did use Burner for business purpose even if it’s not the case. Hmmm…. They advertise Burner as an app to help managing your business!?! Rather than respecting the package advertised and sold, the tech support try to upsell an another call service on another app ( diaper) without being able to transfer my Burner number.

Notifications don’t work. The #1 thing that this app needs to do is notify me when I get a text or a call. It never asked me for notification permissions and I cant even enable it manually in settings. I lost an apartment I was going to get because I assumed the app was notifying me on new texts, and I checked it too late. For the record, I’m an app developer and it’s extremely easy to add notifications to an app, so I don’t understand how they could have screwed up this one basic task. Other than that, it does what it’s supposed to.

READ PRIVACY POLICY BEFORE DOWNLOADING!. I hardly ever write a review about apps. But I’ve had this a year now so I think it’s a fair review. This apps claim is to be a private app, but at what cost to the user?! It really does work as described, very well actually. However… Please be mindful that when you install apps like this, you may be consenting to giving more information about yourself that you should/might be comfortable with. The only way to protect yourself with this service is to opt out of the major data brokers services as described in the policy. It would be highly recommended to use a VPN in conjunction if you actually did use this app. As for myself, I’m burning this app.

Perfect. This app has worked perfectly for me for over a year now. I enjoy the privacy settings that disable notifications and the unlimited texts and minutes options.

Deleted all my numbers after years. Burner just decided to update their app, and it deleted all my numbers which I’ve been using for years, all my credits are gone, all the services I use these numbers with are now inaccessible. Use this app at your own risk, you’ve been warned.

WARNING - FORCED TO BUY SUBSCRIPTION. I’ve had this app for a couple of years. It is/was? a prepaid service and generally worked well and I used it, but infrequently (which worked well on a prepaid basis). That all changed (for the worse) yesterday when I tried to top up my prepaid status (a month in advance). Despite my just having bought $20 worth of prepaid credits, the ONLY option I was offered was a subscription. When I wrote burner support they advised that my account had been put in a “test group” and the ONLY option I had was to subscribe for a month and then cancel the subscription. At that point I had $25 worth (some just purchased) of prepaid credits that I could not apply or use PLUS about a month and a half of applied prepaid credits that apparently were erased by the new unwanted subscription. Burner support advised there was no way to revert my account back, I had to cancel the subscription, wait for it to expire and then apply prepaid credits within 5 day’s of subscription expiry or lose the account and most importantly, the number I’ve paid to maintain for several years. This is borderline fraudulent behaviour in my view, motivated by greed. I’ve already cancelled the subscription and asked Apple for a refund of the subscription fee but I’m still out the $25 I paid for “prepaid credits” and to add insult to injury, I’ve now got to monitor and follow up to spend MORE credits to keep the account upon subscription expiry. I WAS a very satisfied user until the app developer decided to mess around with my account and force me to spend a LOT more time just to maintain it (and this at the very busy time less than a week before Christmas)

Stupid update. Was using this since a while. Line were paid in advance. They made an update and everything got erased including my contacts. I had to repay even if it was paid in advance. I also have to choose a new number. Would have been amazing if you guys could prevent your customer that would happen with an update.

Strongly suggest don’t buy it ,. I paid for the whole year and the app never could receive calls , useless app. I been trying to contact support and finally got a reply back saying they can’t do nothing about it , this is unacceptable.

Didn’t cancel subscription. I tried the free version which would expire April 30, I canceled I believe April 26. At the time it showed it was canceled, but I was just checking and apparently it’s still active till may 30 and now there is no option to unsubscribe????

Bad update. I used to love this app, but the most recent update has been more of a downgrade. I can no longer paste a copied phone number to send a text message. Texts don’t load; I have to go back to the main screen and refresh otherwise they don’t show up in the contact’s text area. If I start a new text message, start typing the contact, then select one, our previous texts don’t show up in the text area. The whole app layout isn’t as intuitive. I pay for a number so I wish I had the choice of reverting to the old version. It worked perfectly and that’s why I chose this app over others but now I’m disappointed.

Scam. Claims to be $19.99 but charged me $52.45

Paid for a verified number and they won't give me one. I paid for a verified number, a cost over an above their ridiculous subscription fee, and regardless of what area code I use, they say there are no numbers. Disgusting and predatory. They should offer to see if there are numbers available before accepting payment. I will be contacting my credit card for a charge back.

Got pricey and support tends to point blame. Been using the Burner app for years. All of a sudden, it got pricey. They’ll deactivate lines with 10 minute warning. What company does that? Once it’s reactivated, everything is erased. Tried to port the number. Got the run around. Your phone number is your account number. That is an extreme security concern. But it doesn’t work anyway. Can’t port the number out because support kept saying the account number is the phone number. Tried it to two different prominent carriers. Does not work. Then they try to blame the carrier for entering the wrong account number. How can they enter the account anymore wrong when it’s the same as the phone number. Been a happy customer until the company got greedy and their support got worst and incompetent. If you’re willing to spend $6/month. Just find a dominant carrier who’s in the business for years. Literally anyone else is better than Ad Hocs burner app.

DONT PURCHASE THIS APP IT DOESN'T WORK. So BURNER APP PROCESSED A REFUND IN SIX DAYS AND CHARGED ME AROUND 3$ IN PROCESSING FEES FOR PRORATED RETURN. Love the app in general. requirement to press 1 on accepting calls prevents hands free use.. So in general I love this app & have been using it for a few years now. What I love is that especially when trying to hire someone for a job or service on Kijiji or Craigslist. I do not have to give out my permanent phone number in case someone turns out to be spooky, crazy & or a stalker type & I have run into that. That I can also at the touch of a button change my phone number free of charge once a month with my subscription is invaluable. I love that it does text messaging as well & performs all the important functions of a cell phone. I also love, but have not yet used the VoIP feature . What I don’t understand & am not thrilled with is that to the best of my recollection when I first got this app and there was an inbound call ( and I do not use the app frequently so have no idea when this was initiated or even if it’s possibly always been this way as I’ve taken so few inbound calls., but I think that previously when there was an inbound call , it came through my cellphone identified as a burner call, but when I accepted the call or essentially answered the phone the call proceeded normally. What I’ve noticed the last two times I’ve placed ads for services and had inbound voice calls is that once I accept ( answer or pick up) the call on my phone, I now also in addition need to press the number 1 key on my dial pad. I normally use a Bluetooth headset to speak on the phone & the handset is programmed so that I can answer or accept the call hands free , but now that I need to manually press the 1 key, it means I have to take the phone off my belt, open the case, press 1 on the keypad and *then* begin the call. From my perspective this is not helpful . The app itself is quite clear when a call comes in that it’s coming in through Burner. I do not understand why I have to further hit the 1 key to proceed, it’s especially annoying when using the phone while driving or walking on the streets as if when driving in order to be safe I have to pull off the road, get my phone in my hands , press the 1 key and then talk, completely negating the hands free answering method in the vehicle & also requiring me to take the phone out of the bag I usually carry when I’m walking around and open the case and pressing the key. Changing that and possibly also offering email forwarding so I could create an anonymous one time email address & have anything sent to it forward to my actual email address would be the only significant things I would see added or changed. Also, it is not clear that if you enable the VoIP feature on your burner number if it will then *only* work when connected to wifi , or if I need to make an outbound or accept an inbound call when I am not connected to wifi if it will still work. Either way, I’m a happy subscriber & at this point see no reason I would terminate the service . It does exactly what it says it does and it does a bit more than that too.

Slow and Buggy. Some messages are not received by the recipient and the app becomes buggy and slow in using a 14 promax and it’s hang a lot especially during incoming messages the whole system freezes for a sec and it’s mad annoying.

Disappointing. It seems they farm out the phone numbers one uses to create the account as I have had my robocall and scammer calls increase tenfold since subscribing, and that’s not even counting the calls to my burner numbers. In addition to that, voicemails rarely play and blocking options seem to randomly become unavailable.

Good, but recently faulty.. I love this service/app, however as of 1 or 2 updates ago, when I go to answer the call I can’t get to the dial pad (to press 9 for the intercom/buzzer system). It used to go right to that screen upon answering. I can’t find any option to change this in app, and it worked without issues prior to that recent update. I hope they fix this soon cause it’s a big pain. The primary reason I pay for this service is to have a local number for the buzzer system. Almost useless now.

Great. Its a very nice app, nice design and works great. Just wish we were able to change number more often. I didnt realize you could only burn a couple times before you had to buy again.

New Version Sucks. The Latest Version of the Burner App honestly sucks. Many of the features are gone, and when I delete a conversation, it comes back when You refresh. As well, no more face id for unlocking, the app took a major downgrade from the previous version.

Subscription. It’s saying I can start the free trial for 7 days and then get charged 9.99/month but then when I'm about to purchase the subscription, it says I will be charged 12.99/month after the 7 day trial. Which is it? Seems fishy. I will not accept.

Forcing users to subscribe - lame!. This used to be my favorite burner app. But now they changed the way it works. You can nolonger extend your burner once your month is up. Instead they now force you to "subscribe" to a number. No more renewing a number using credits. This really sucks because I spent a ton of $ on burner credits but now I can't even use them.

Rip off… UNRELIABLE … ABSOLUTE CRAP ( MID 2023). the verification codes only showed up for two text messages then never again. Verification calls only go through once in a while. Verified number couldn't take any verification codes at all. Message would say, NOT A VALID NUMBER. THIS APP IS CRAP. Don't waste your money. I LOST 13 dollars to that stupid verification number.

You now are a subscription service???. I’ve been using this app for years. And now you decide to update the look and features but now I can’t use credits to buy occasionally when I need a burner. I don’t want a commitment of subscribing. Bring back the credit system!!!!!!

Terrible update. The looks and feel after the update is horrible. The previous version was clear and eye catching, the updated version is painful to look at. Having said that, I haven’t used the new version yet, hopefully it works better than it looks. The previous version was great and I had no issues. To the developers, if there’s any way to go back to the previous version, please do, this version is U-G-L-Y.

Overcharged and didn’t return the money. Ended paying $50 for 2 lines. They refused to return the money. Be careful with this app

Verified number does not work in Canada. I bought the verified number subscription, but when I enter any Canadian area code from Vancouver to Toronto, it can’t find any available number. Bad purchase!!!

Worst secondary phone number app. Paid 12.99$ to spend 25 minutes trying to get any verified number I could, finally it gave me a number with the same area code as the first 3 digits. I try to use it with anything and it doesn’t work. Waste of money; there’s better apps out there.

Almost Great. This app is pretty decent as a second line. My biggest complaint (I pay for the better version of this app) is that there is no video messaging capabilities. I can send .gif to friends by using the gif app i have on the keyboard, but that’s the only way a moving message can be sent or received and only the ones loaded on the gif app. Everything else works fine but honestly only three star worthy. It’s 2019 and for this to be four or five star you need to be able to provide everything people want/need with messaging: calls, text, pictures, videos, AND video calls. Especially for the people who pay for the unlimited minutes.

Use for craigslist. Was creating a Craigslist ad and wanted to use a phone number. CL asked if I wanted to use this app and I was a little hesitant but decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! Within 10 minutes I had already been contacted by scammers 3 times!!! Without the app they would have had my real number and I would have had to spend TONS of time protecting my privacy. With the app I can just ignore them, delete the message, or delete the whole number and start fresh! Now that I have Burner, I’m already thinking of a few other uses.

Total Ripoff. I obtained the service 3 weeks ago and paid an annual subscription fee of about $140 for 3 lines. Within two weeks of obtaining their service they terminated my service via text(using a burner number-the irony)for violating their terms. Since then I have contacted them via email, on numerous occasion to obtain an explanation regarding the termination, as I do not believe I have violated their terms. I have yet to receive a response to my inquiry. Support will send you to “legal” legal will never answer. It almost seems like the email for legal is unmonitored. Overall my opinion of this company is as follows: -they accept your money and terminate your service when they decide regardless of there being a valid reason or not (maybe they recycle their phone numbers, and terminate for that reason, idk). - they are disingenuous, unprofessional, and unresponsive. -they don’t have an active phone number for the customer to have the opportunity to speak with someone. -they hide behind an email address and respond when they choose to. -they terminate your service via text using a burner number which again does not give you the opportunity to speak with anyone.

Mostly good. I’m an assistant principal and I am using this as a second line now that I have to call students and parents from home during Covid-19. One year I made the mistake of calling from my cell phone and parents would call and text me all the time. Even though I could block my number I often get voice mail and needed a number to call back. The only downside is that parents have hung up before I can get to the call because a voice says “your call will start in one minute”. Not sure if there is a solution to that but I had better luck texting the parent. I paid for the one line subscription but I’m not sure I’ll keep it past the month.

Share numbers. So I got the 3 number subscription. One number started getting calls immediately. One guy said is this the bank. Uhmm sure, give me you account number (kidding). I look up the number I got and it’s listed as an ”Personal Loan Scam” on Nomorobo (Whom they partner with). What give Burner? This is unacceptable. -update. I guess they cannot tell who had the number last. I just went in and burned the old number and requested another and seeing the choices, googled the one I was interested in, made sure it was clean, and created it. We’ll see how it works. However, how do you delete a background? You can select a background, but once created, how to remove it...?

Quick resolution with technical service request. Initially I wasn’t sure if this App was a product that I would enjoy. I decided to use the app on a trial basis and I had a conflict with my Hardware upon installation and the burner app was not working on my device as described. I reached out to the technical team and they were able to quickly isolate my iPhone X hardware issues and resolve the problem. they Unlocked the premium features of the app so that I may get the full experience during my trial. The customer service I received and ease-of-use inspired me to subscribe to a Annual subscription. Looking forward to seeing this app evolve as improvements and updates are released. Thanks Burner App!

Was great but got ruined. The new update completely ruined the app. I have literally never left a bad review for an app until now. I loved the app since I got it three years ago; the newest update is amazingly frustrating. I had an “old theme” color apparently and I couldn’t ready anything. I switch my phone to light mode to see how to navigate to the right menu to fix it. Fine, I get it, but there are many other ways this could have been addressed without me figuring it out. The new colors are annoying bright pastels, it’s like someone told a colorblind fourth grader to choose colors from an Easter book. The contrast of the text to the colors is awful. Now using the app is painful to the eyes and the app interface has become mildly annoying.

Regret updating. I participated in the customer feedback meeting and hated all of the updates. The person I spoke to was very receptive to the feedback. Ultimately the changes were made. I liked having a main line and paying for credits to maintain a text only burner. Now if the credits run out on a line it’s pretty useless. You can’t renew the credits. You’re pretty much forced to have subscription lines or just buy credits and continuously make new burners when a line ends. I’ve used this app since it launched and these changes do not make me enjoy this app anymore.

Not reliable. I’ve had the same Burner number for about 2 years. I use it mainly for Craigslist purchases & other telephone corespondents where I didn’t want the other party to have my real number. App worked well at first. Eventually it got to the point where my phone would only ring on occasions. However... since I had the same number and had it memorized for about two years... I chose to overlook some of the bugs. From day 1, I had my account set up with auto renewal. All of a sudden I was getting messages to renew my account. At first I ignored it simply because my account was set up to do it automatically. Eventually , I started getting concerned so I went into the app and manually renewed the account. There was no issues with my credit card, number or card expiration date. It was the card that I use on every iTunes linked app purchase. I woke up one morning and had a notification that my account had expired and my number was ‘Burned’. Keep in mind... the sole reason I tolerated the bugs was simply to keep the original number that I had been assigned. With that said... I am pursuing a spare line with app developer.

Hey Burner Legal, and Apple, get ready for a big class action!. Yes, it is illegal for a business to interrupt another business by failing to deliver services that were paid for. The cause of action would be breach of contract. The business that paid for the services can sue for damages, which may include lost profits and other costs incurred as a result of the breach. They may also seek specific performance, which would require the business that failed to deliver the services to complete the work as promised. I am notifying the Attorney Generals in each state, the FCC and Consumer Affairs. Also complained to Apple and will name them as a willful participant since they refused to facilitate refunds. You screwed with the wrong person and refused to make things right. You brought this on yourselves.

Was a great app until two weeks ago. I’ve been using this app for well over a year. It was great. I’ve paid for three lines and would burn them monthly. This month I’ll be canceling it and looking for alternatives. My favorite thing about this app was how user friendly it was. It was quick. I could switch from one number to another seamlessly. Now it’s a hassle and the whole app feels clunky. The most annoying thing and the main reason I can’t use this app anymore is they took away the ability to copy and paste numbers. I have to manually type every single persons number that’s not in my contact list. I can’t emphasize enough how annoying this is. My productivity has declined massively with this update. Furthermore, it is extremely slow now. I’ll get a notification of a text. Go to check it and have to wait a minute or longer for the text to come up in the thread. I have yet to find anything positive about the update. There’s no reason to fix something that isn’t broken. For the love of god..get rid of this update and bring back the old one. The one we all loved..

Voicemail via Bluetooth issue…. They claim it’s the host phone / service’s issue when I reached out to them. Here’s the problem. Calls work just fine, both incoming and outgoing. But when someone leaves me a voicemail and I click on it to play it, it will LOT play it through my AirPods. I can still click it to play on speaker and back to the phone. But on phone it only goes through the phones speaker. Everything else I use connects to the the Bluetooth. Only THIS app doesn’t play its voicemails through the AirPods. It’s an inconvenient pain. I also wish I could get a different ringtone from calls coming “through the app” even while letting caller ID show me the callers number instead of the burner number - so that’s another 1/2 point deduction. All in all it’s not a bad app - but their “support” just replies with nonsense that doesn’t even answer the questions you ask or offer any solutions either. So 4 stars it is. Maybe only 3.5.

LOVE IT. This is a great app! I can burn any number I create and make a new one very quickly without any problems at all. I like being able to have three numbers at a time to use let alone if I want 10 I can have 10 if I subscribed that particular plan. It functions perfectly. I haven’t had any problems at all with any glitches or anything. I can’t say enough good things about this particular app when it comes to burning and creating numbers quickly without having to re-purchase, over and over and over again. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! I

Rip Off!. The app just updated their app they provide and some updates actually are a down grade rather than an improvement, and this is the perfect example of a company making updates to their app and it is a worse product. The crazy thing is, is that they are still charging the same amount for this app than the previous version! This is crazy how they took away certain features and then still have the nerve to charge the same amount. Be ware of this app, very limited and given how they operate I would imagine the next change to the app will be even more features removed while still taking your money for the same amount as previous versions! Shameful!

They sell your info. After requesting to cancel this service, I was immediately inundated with junk-texts (to my main phone line) like I’ve never experienced before, from random numbers...constant “hello?” And “how are you”, etc. Reminds me of back in the day when we purchased anti-virus software that detected nothing until the day before having to renew it. I’ve never received (constant) texts like this prior - from random area codes. They likely sell your info if you request to cancel. In fact, they make you request cancellation via e-mail (days go by and new spam appears), then they keep charging you. Apparently they expected me to confirm I wanted to cancel, after sending the request to cancel. Scammers.

Horrifying app. I really wanted this to work.. as I’ve been looking for a good burner app but this app sadly has turned out to be a scam. They offer a “free 7 day trial” but when you open the option to accept this offer, it then attempts to charge you “$9.99”. They can’t even be trusted to describe their offers correctly, I don’t even want to imagine how their service must be. I happened to look up their company name on trustpilot as I wanted to see if anyone else had this experience.. I read most of the reviews which turned out to be negative reviews that go on about how their service is horrible, customers said they got their account deactivated for no reason just so the company can take their $ and deliver no service.. others were overcharged or the app crashed completely. I really hope no one else falls for this scam.. I don’t know how this app is even still in business considering its all a big grift.

When it works, it’s awesome. Exactly how it’s supposed to sound; this app does exactly what it’s supposed to do, AND the UX design through the platform is great. It’s easy to use, and yeah… it’s great. My problem, is that when I type in a number too fast (I use the app for marketing outreach/cold calling), the whole app crashes. If I scroll down the call log too fast, it crashes. If I navigate through, what seems to be, ANY functionality … it crashes. It’s causing an inefficiency issue for me and my job, so I’m going back to the other app I had been using without issue - Webex. To the developers: you did a fantastic job with Burner and I’m sorry to go - but the bugs are too much for me. Running an iPhone 13pro, and this shouldn’t be happening. 🙏🏽

I rounded up. I have a 3-line subscription. It was a real nuisance to change my real number and keep the app but support helped. Obviously, identity must be confirmed. There are glitches when you insert text and can’t see what you pasted until you do more. It can’t accept video messages. One number started getting spam calls nearly immediately but the beauty is that this could happen with any new number and I just burned it and chose another. Also, Google the specific number when choosing it. I once got a number that was still being advertised online by an escort. I thought it was funny but I understand that others may not be amused. Grade: A-

Disappointed. I’ve used the app well over a year. The service was deliverable. Even assisted with individual customer review questionnaires. Was having issues with the app, so I reinstalled. Unable to get my number and now requires new sign up. In reading the reviews since the upgrade it is concerning. I use this number for my parent’s doctors and clinical team. Which calls and messages are frequent daily. I did message support. But I’m very concerned in reading the reviews and issues appear similar to mine. It seems likely now I am burdened with notifications of every single clinician and clinic updating numbers with another burner app. I will give 24 -48 hours a chance for assistance and if not…..well then please “burn” number assigned. You will have the ability as you do obtain individual phone identifying information.

People can steal your burner number and use it for spam accounts. I’ve been using this app for several months now and had no problems until these past couple of weeks. Apparently people can steal your burner number to make outbound calls with spam accounts. A lot of people started calling me on my burner saying that I called them and left a voicemail even though I hadn’t. This is a MAJOR SECURITY ISSUE. When I reached out to customer service, they acknowledged the apps vulnerability but said the only thing they could do was change my number. Terrible solution because all my clients that have this number can no longer reach me. Stay away and go with free apps. Dealing with customer service was also a nightmare because they had no solutions to this issue.

Burner offers your real number to recipient—BEWARE. Burner’s misrepresenting how they work. You are not completely anonymous, so watch out. The person to whom you send a message/call from the Burner number is also sent an invitation to discover your actual number for .95¢. So you are exposed and liable to get into a heap of trouble if you think Burner makes you completely anonymous. When raising this to Burner, here is the salient portion from their response: “If someone looks up your Burner number through any online databases or reverse lookup services, they will not be able to find your main phone number or trace it back to you. However, we are a company operating legally in the US, and so in the case of a court order we have to work with law enforcement within reasonable means.” But in my case, there was no court order involved. I found this revealing that Burner offers to the call recipient after sending a joke test message to my housemate, who almost immediately afterward received the link from Burner to reveal me for .95¢. So Burner’s response to me is significant for what it leaves out and therefore is not quite honest. BEWARE: YOU ARE NOT SAFELY ANONYMOUS USING BURNER. If I could give this app ZERO STARS, I would.

Do not rely on Burner for anything critical. Burner unilaterally closed my account. No warning or explanation. I asked for support to get back into my account, they instead replied that it has come to their attention that I violated their terms of service, and they quoted their TOS saying they can unilaterally suspend anyone lol. No explanation as to which TOS. I guess that’s the easier way to resolve support tickets lol. Click, suspended. What kind of person writes to support anyway xD Can’t imagine what TOS violation could be but who knows, could be a term hidden on page two of 5000 banning text messages with emoji overuse for all I know. I rarely use it, mostly for tfas and to put down as a public number on things like domain registrations etc so I don’t get spammed. Anyway - lesson learned, can’t trust these rando apps for anything critical

Bad issue with incoming calls not ringing. If I could it would be no stars. They have done something with their system. I used it several times but, this time, the service was, lacking a better word, horrible. Ive been dancing with tech people and they dont listen and I guess figure Im full of crap. Anyway, their very own “test call” would call me but give no ring, so I missed calls. Then when they called it didn’t ring. They claim to hear it ring. It would hang up before I could even get to it. Other callers same deal. Then had my sis call and it came thru. I almost didnt talk to her because even tho I picked up on very first ring, she said she was ready to hang up because it rang 7 times on her end. After that, I hopped thru more hoops and their call didn’t ring although it told tgdm it did and it hung up. Think I’ll give them my 5 credits and use another provider.

A great burner for long term use! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I have used several burner phone apps, and none of them can compare to this burner phone app. I like the many features and being able to set up custom voicemails and being able to pick and choose the ID or phone number is displayed on the screen. I have not had a missed or dropped call yet; the only real complaint is I am still at the mercy of Robo callers, but this app does have a suggested Robo caller blocker - I haven't utilized it yet. I have the 3 line plan, but I might be upgrading to a plan with other lines because it's a great price and cost-effective.

My reason for 5-star. My girl block me because I didn’t do my promises to her. She doesn’t give me the reason why she keep telling me to leave then finally block me. I have no other way of communicating but I know her number so I used this app. After I used this app, I text her and told her who I am. I apologize to her and I keep asking why she block me. She told me later why. Then when I said what I need to say in last free text to her, I forgot to say to unblock me , but then she said she calm down and decide to unblock me to my real number. A lot of things going on so you won’t understand everything but I really thank you for this app.

Rip off doesn’t work. I currently have an active subscription for a monthly line that I have paid five dollars for and I have no number the app does not recognize that I have a subscription except for when I click to buy another one and it tells me that I have an active subscription but I cannot create a number, I have contacted customer service and all they told me is that they can’t give me a refund because it’s through the Apple App Store and they offered zero help to try and actually fix the problem on their app so do not waste your money on this product because as of right now it’s a complete scam and I would like to add that I used this product previously a few years ago and it worked fine but now it does not work

UNRELIABLE. Signed up for this service 24 hours ago and already having problems receiving text messages! When I visited the support site all it suggested was restarting/reinstalling the app or emailing them. I closed the app and reinstalled it but the texts that people had sent me still failed to appear and I now I have no idea how many texts I have missed and from who. This is completely unacceptable. Charging for a defective product and offering such little support is also unacceptable. With no phone number to call for support, how am I supposed to get this fixed quickly? The fact is that even if they did fix it, there is no way I would continue to use this service since it has proven to be so unreliable and I was using this number for something important. After spending the day updating my contact information across multiple platforms I am extremely disappointed.

Absolute Trash!!. What started out as a good experience quickly went down hill. The app makes it difficult to initiate the process and once completed you assume all is well. Apparently not because then after you’ve paid and set up, one naturally wants to get familiar. Instead, you continually get kicked out of the app and when you inquire, you’ve been deleted without warning. And the kicker - customer service can do nothing because it’s been sent to legal department without further explanation. If you expect to get and sustain users then perhaps you may want to vastly improve customer service skills because it’s some kind of lacking. You may have started out great in the beginning but my experience was anything but.

The app itself. As a service, Burner seems to do what it says on the tin. I used it for car shopping and it worked well - didn’t get dogged by sales folks on my main line. It’s also interesting to see the wild patchwork of texts you get from prior users of your number. My main criticism is the app, not the service. It’s achingly slow to interact with. Just tapping into a single text conversation takes several seconds to load, and scrolling takes ages. This on an iPhone 12 Pro Max - not a slow or old phone. There’s also no way to export data, should you want to do that. In short, def worth the price for short term uses but I wouldn’t want to rely on it as a primary communications tool.

Appealing Customer Service. At our business, we use Burner for our main line. We also have 14 others we pay for to have their own line. We need to be able to toggle the main number between our admins and you used to be able to use this feature as “call forwarding”. This was taken away months ago, and I was told if I wanted this feature, Burner would switch our number to their business app Dialed. We said yes and I have written to them weekly since FEBRUARY (it is now May) to have this switched. I’ve had a few replies in there that they are “looking into it” but my emails go completely unanswered. Complete crap chute and have to keep using them if I don’t want to lose my number. Horrible experience.

Glitches regularly and now is COMPLETELY UNUSABLE.. You cannot send texts longer than a certain length, and if you break up longer texts into shorter texts only some of them will go through. On longer text threads there are often a lot more errors. I’ve dealt with all this because the cost of Burner is pretty reasonable. Lately I’ve had more errors with Burner and occasionally cycling my phone in and out of airplane mode or turning the wifi on and off has helped, but today that has done nothing. I’ve reset my phone multiple times and finally deleted the app so I could reinstall it. Now the app will not let me login whatsoever, so I’m a few months into an annual plan with multiple lines that I’m completely unable to use. So not okay!!

User for 3 years but not anymore.. i had the same burner number for over a year with clients and business attached to it, and have never had any issues other than missing texts the following day when my notifications were turned back on. yesterday morning i went to use my WORK number and i was prompted to verify my phone number again out of nowhere. when i verified my number, i open the app to FIND THAT MY NUMBER HAD BEEN ERASED AND IT DIDNT EXIST. not only was i unable to do my job yesterday, but all of my saved numbers and previous conversations are now gone and my clientele has no way of reaching me. Customer service was a joke and said they “couldn’t find” the number. you’re better off getting a second phone if you’re looking for a stable service.

Lagging, delayed message and keypad display. Not sure when the problem started but today if I open my Burner to answer messages, there is a period of logging anywhere between 10 to 15 seconds. It’s very frustrating especially when you are trying to respond to something time sensitive. My app is up-to-date as well so I’m not sure where the problem is. I also don’t have an older phone or multiple apps open. Another thing that’s very frustrating is when you are voice dictating, you want to go to a particular part of the paragraph for correction, the word cursor always defaults to the end of the sentence.

They won’t cancel my subscription and keep charging me. WARNING: You can turn it on BUT YOU CANNOT TURN IT OFF! I started trying to cancel my subscription in September. I contacted them via email on their website and asked to cancel. No luck. I went to the Burner app on my phone and said cancel. No luck. I went through iTunes and asked to cancel. Nothing. In the meantime, I have been continuously charged every month. The last was November 23. They say “be patient”, “we’re a small company”. Sure…be patient while we continue to charge you. Now I will challenge the charges with my credit card company. I hope that works. Nothing else does. I only wanted this for a month to sell an RV. Beware: They will slow roll any request for cancellation until they can charge you several months more, asking you to BE PATIENT. You are warned. They want your money and they don’t play fair.

Not fully accessible for those who suffer with blindness.. The Burner App is unfortunately not fully accessible to those who suffer with blindness and use the built-in screen-reader Voiceover on iOS devices such as IPhone or iPad. Specifically, when attempting to delete the call or text messaging logs, the screen-reading software will announce that the action of deleting call or text logs has been performed. However, the logs of the calls and messages are still there. I simply am not interested in using an app that is not fully accessible to me even though I enjoy the app for the most part. It is unfortunate that this app has not been designed with the idea of inclusiveness in mind. I will be canceling my account.

Don’t use for a business, trash support, can’t port number out. We used this app for a business number for a couple small businesses and in the past it worked fine. This year, it drops calls right in the middle of the call with frequency, at least 10x per day. Not cool if you’re using it for business. Their support is garbage. They offer no phone support and their response time via their web support is way to slow. You might get a response within a day. Also, they’ve been unable to resolve or even be remotely helpful about our dropping calls issue. That should give any business owner pause. We decided to port out number out, only to find that you can’t! So the business number we have must be changed, as well as all our marketing materials, graphics, web res presentation, etc... So burner says they’re a great solution for business, but they are anything but. You’ll get frequent dropped calls, garbage support, and then if you want to port your number to a service that works, you can’t. DON’T use if you’re a business owner or need a number for anything important. Also read their terms of service. Specifically Section H. Number Ownership. I’d never use their service if I read that ahead of time. Pony up the extra $ and go with google fi or something reliable that has good support.

Poor Quality. I am very frustrated with this app right now!!! I’ve waited for 2 weeks for my subscription to renew today and allow me to create a new burner. It has not shown that its renewed and I needed a number so I had to pay an additional $5 to get a new line. Now that I’ve paid for the new line it’s telling me that it can’t confirm my number that I need to check my international settings. Makes no sense because I selected United States!!! On top of that, because of the error, it’s now telling me that I’ve attempted to confirm the account to many times and it won’t allow me to try any longer. That I now have to wait and ty back later!! This is extremely infuriating & I can’t seem to find any way other than email and a 48 hour waiting period to get assistance to fix the problem!!

Would give it a five star rating buddy legs too much. Been using this app for quite a while now very useful. If you need multiple numbers for multiple different reasons, love how it has its own contact preference so any number that contacts you on this app stays logged into this app contact list not your phones hate that it’s been lagging lately I pay way too much for the app to be acting slow. Never had these problems before but most likely the app might need to update, and I also miss how the old app gave me more options to organize it. Better to update definitely is a little weird. But it works.

Doesn’t work with iPhone IOS14. This won’t work on iPhone. The first week it worked for couple calls but the sound quality of calls and caller voice was just off, after that nothing, no calls whatsoever would go through at all! Customer cares responses were robot reply with a list of “suggestions” to fix the problem of calls not working?. One was to turn off VPN for WiFi. This did not work either. Calls did not go through all went to voicemail no call ring at all! After several email exchanges to customer care requesting my account closed and deletion I finally got a reply this would be done in another 30 days. Complete waste of money for a year subscription when it doesn’t work!

Just started sending pester texts.. seriously??. It was a fine app! Starting a few days ago though burner started sending those notifications like “we noticed you haven’t been using our app lately, wanna use our app??” No. I don’t want to randomly open my text app. And I don’t want to have another app making me check my phone daily expecting something important just to find the ios version of junk mail So yeah. I don’t have emotional room in my life for another pester-app, and this app in particular is kinda pointless with notifications disabled completely (at least with how I use it), so I’m deleting it and finding another. It’s sad though, it was a really nice little app.

Caller ID. UPDATE: there is also a huge delay in calls so there’s always an awkward silence or talking over someone. This app is great for my second number for work so I don’t have to give my personal number out. I however have one major complain that really bothers me, the caller ID doesn’t pop up when receiving a call. It will briefly pop up if you so happen to be staring at your phone at that very money but the. It disappears and you just see the actual number so it’s confusing if it’s coming from your personal line or the burner. Can you guys please fix this, let the contact that you saved it under pop up instead of their number or your burner number. PLEASEEEE IF THAT WAS GIXED I COULD GIVE THIS APP 5 starts because I really like it!

Latest Update Is BAD (Updated). The new update: I can no longer delete messages; hyperlinks in messages no longer connect; the new update keeps asking me to sign in to the app every time. This app worked great— flawlessly even. The update is a major misstep. If I can’t delete messages, I’ll be canceling my annual subscription PDQ. UPDATE: I spent an evening going back and forth via email with the app’s customer support trying to isolate, identify, and address the problems with this problematic update. Nothing was resolved, the problems still exist, but I have to give a grudging second star for the quick responses and efforts of the developers. Having said that: the app update is still a hot mess. Here’s hoping an update is pending that addresses the crippling flaws of the current app version.

Horrible experience. At first everything seemed to work when I downloaded it 2 days ago. I tried to log back in today and pay for a subscription when I noticed I couldn’t. When ever I tried to log in with my Apple ID, it keeps saying “error” I tried many times but the same thing kept popping up. I decided to delete and reinstall it, but that didn’t fix the problem. This time when I try to log in with either Apple ID or google ID, it acts like it’s working then I am back to square one, where it asks me to log in. I honestly don’t know why the same problem keeps happening, when the app was just working fine two days ago, anyways. I am not sure I will be recommending anyone to use this app, because if you pay and then you can’t log back in, that’s the end of it and you’ve just lost your money.

All the wrong choices. This app used to have one of the best UIs of any. This new update is absolutely surprising in how awful it is. Almost every choice is wrong, every “improvement” to the interface is three steps backwards in usability. Before, I could log on with Face ID, or have a few minutes before I needed to log in again. I could copy/paste a number into the app. If I received harassing messages or spam I could block the number. If I wanted to delete a number the app would let me know if I had a new number available. This update does none of those things. Even blocking spam is now a multi-step process of needing to create a contact to block first. No copy/paste, a PIN every time you switch to the app, no number updates, nothing is easy. Using this app is a complete chore compared to how perfect the earlier iteration was.

Minus 2 stars for changed after last upgrade. I used to love Burner and it served its purpose but after the last round of updates, now you can’t easily block junk callers/texters by just clicking the block button after opening the individual message. Apparently, according to the on-screen error, you have to create a contact for the junker you are just going to block. This doesn’t even make any sense for users, much less can’t figure out why developers would think this is a good idea, so hoping this is a “bug”. Please fix this and I’ll adjust my rating, but until then, Burner is losing its spunk as an alternative to robo-blocker apps and such.

Burner is just an amazing app. Been using this since they came out and they just keep on getting better and better. So many great features plus pricing is very fare with the different plans they have. Looking at these other apps that have 500k but you look at the most recent reviews and they all say how bad the app is but you look at these reviews and you see the opposite. The support is on top on things plus they kill the bugs very quickly or disable a feature if it's acting up and won't bring it back out until fixed.

Must READ TO WHY THE STARS. The reason why I’m giving this app that many stars is because it is pretty pricing and your limited to doing certain things be nice if you be able to do other things, but you can do it just have different numbers and pay a lot for them every month other than the other problem is that if they called me on one of those numbers, I do not get an alert until I remember to check for it or anything other than that you won’t get no notification and I’ve had this thing for going on two years so that’s why this app is getting that much but it’s cool

Great potential with some annoyances. I've been using the app for about two weeks, and overall, it stands out with its unlimited calls and texts feature. However, there are a couple of aspects that could be improved. Copy and paste functionality is somewhat frustrating, as it tends to shoot the cursor to the end of the text, making editing a bit cumbersome. Additionally, there's an annoying ticking sound during calls, despite testing it in various locations with a recent iPhone model. Fixing these issues would elevate the app to almost amazing status. Also, including verified phone numbers in the same subscription would be a valuable addition.

Horrible customer service and bad phone service. After almost 3 years of having this app on a automatic renewal I contacted customer service which is only available by email not by phone and takes a minimum of 24 hours to answer in reference to my account after telling me that everything was OK this canceled my account a few weeks later. I emailed asking about reviving my account because it was for business and 48 hours later they responded saying that yes they can but never did. Now 24 hours from then they just told me that FT are able to do it they will try so I told them to cancel it. Bad enough you will see that the app loses its speed and efficiency and drops calls or makes it so you’re unable to make calls if you use it frequently throughout the day. Don’t waste your time Google voice is free.

Gone downhill ever since the redesign. The app has a couple of pretty glaring issues. The chief of which being you cannot have multi-sign in supported. Wanted to be logged in on your iPad and your iPhone? Too bad, you’re going to get a nasty message that locks your account out. Want to do all the calling in-app? Too bad, your phone is going to ring nonstop for 10+ hours unless you go in and physically hang up on the person. No automatically sending them to voicemail. The design is not user friendly. It was much better when the logo was a picture of a phone on fire. I’m sure they were going for a more “professional rebrand,” but at what cost? The usability is out the window. All these straight lines and edged and pastel colors and BURIED features makes it harder to use this as a secondary number. I just use it for account verification and to give out a number for buying things online. It doesn’t even work for account verification any more. Really gone down hill… I’m locked out of my account and keep messaging support but I just get a robot auto-emailing me back pretending to be a person saying the SAME STOCK MESSAGE over and over. I’ll just use another app. Thanks.
