Repeater Finder (RFinder) taps into The World Wide Repeater Directory, including IRLP and EchoLink information.
RFinder (Repeater Finder), the premier Ham Radio repeater locating tool for Amateur Radio operators, allows you to find repeaters all over the world based on your current location or a specified location. It allows sorting by distance or by Trustee callsign as well as filtering by band and radius in miles or kilometers.

NOW RFinder Routing is integrated with RT Systems radio programmers! Your subscription bought here by installing this app gives you access in RT...just make sure RT is updated to the latest version by pressing Help-Update. Click File-External Data->RFinder Web Search and click Route! Easy as pie to program your radio now for a trip you are taking with just a few easy clicks...check out the tutorial video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaeRzcnNNdQ

NOW INCLUDES SOCIAL FUNCTIONS!!!! In the repeater detail screen, click the Check In button. All users will see that you are on that machine! This can be used to find your friends or a machine with a user on it. In the settings bundle app/RFinder you can turn on APRS posting. This posts your current position with the repeater you are checked into. You can also let your friends on Facebook® know what repeater you are on as well as your Twitter® followers, when checking in.

NOW INTEGRATED WITH THE EchoLink APP!!
From the repeater detail screen, any repeater that has an Echolink node attached just touch the number and if you have the EchoLink app installed it will launch to that node automatically for you.

Our repeater locator database is growing daily.
Access to the Directory is included for one year then it will be an annual subscription for $9.99, and your subscription works for all platforms.... Each purchase of a new platform advances your annual to a year from that new purchase date. Sub

If we do not have your repeaters listed...please do not refund or give us a bad rating...add repeaters at http://add.rfinder.net or request an add or update from the app.. Don't forget LAT/LON (in decimal), use periods as decimals, please.

The application accesses our Worldwide Repeater Directory and scanner directory for Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) but only stores information for repeaters within approximately 80 miles (125 km) from your location on your handheld at any one time, saving you room on your device and allowing distance calculation and mapping features to operate smoothly. It uses geolocation either via cell tower triangulation, GPS or manual location entry (so you can look up the repeaters you will use on vacation or business trips, etc.).

If anyone has lists of Amateur Radio repeaters from their countries we would love to incorporate that into our database.

Worldwide IRLP and Echolink nodes.

Great service. While configuring my Chili Peppa my computer timed out and locked up my hotspot. I called for service and had great help. Bob the creator answered the phone himself. He took extra time with me and taught me the correct configuration. Best service I ever had from a company.

Excellent app and superb customer support. I recently purchased the app, which worked flawlessly. I couldn't get my login to work on the website. I decided that I would send an email to support and explain my trouble, this was on a Saturday. I fully expected to possibly have a reply the following week. I was very surprised and extremely impressed to have a reply a few hours later. I was given a few suggestions to try. When I got home on Sunday I logged into the website and everything worked perfect. I sent an email to RFinder support thanking Bob for his assistance and excellent customer service. Once again to my surprise, within minutes I had a reply from Bob. I am very impressed at the usefulness and ease of this app. I would most definitely recommend the RFinder app and company to everyone. Dave KB7RLN

Price Change. Just began using the app for cross-country drive as the passenger in April. Ordered it a year ago, so I am appreciative of the email allowing for $9.99 yearly for previous subscribers. However, it doesn't allow this price through iTunes. iTunes is my preferred method … please work something out for your users!

Inaccurate info, buggy app. I travel a lot, and I find a large number of the repeaters listed are non-functional. There’s much less info than in the ARRL-produced repeater directory. I’ve had several times where the program shows no repeaters at all that has required an un-install and reinstall to fix. Currently, the menu won’t open. All-in-all, a very poor substitute for the classic repeater directory.

World class app, out of this world support. The first time I tried to access the database using my programming software, it asked for a password, but it had not required a password when I registered it. I emailed tech support, and within minutes received a reply from the owner/author of the app with his phone number. I called, and he had the problem solved instantly. Not only was he helpful, he was great fun to talk with about HAM radio and other products he has developed.

An Essential Tool For Ham Repeater Users. I have been using Rfinder for several years. It has replaced all of the apps, websites, books, and lists that I had previously used for finding repeaters. The filtering, sorting, and mapping features have spoiled me. If you are a ham and use repeaters you should really give this app a try.

Many issues resolved!. RF Finder was a great app working very well. I had a problem with how the app found its location. I contacted I contacted the vender and the support was wonderful. The error was my mistake and the app is the best way to find repeaters.

Exelent App. Sincerely is a great app that give you access to repeaters without search online, repeaters directories books etc. The special and amazing about this great app is that as a visually impaired ham is a plus because let me integrate the Voice Asistant so I can search and operate de app with only my fingers trough the screen and been guided by voice and be in the air with out problems. I recommend this app to everybody who want to be in touch with all repeaters worldwide and be updated. The most I like is the fast response from his creator Bob Greenberg (W2CYK) and his great tem with all the support when i have any question at the momment. Very intuitive design and easy tu use. Thanks Bob For this great app...From Abdiel Ortiz (WP4JMV) 73s.

Eh it’s Ok. I am new to HAM radio but have had an ARRL repeater directory since 2005. I like the old style book better in its 3”x5” format. The app doesn’t specify weather the frequencies are the “Input/Output” or “Uplink/Downlink” frequencies. Just slightly annoying for me...

No support, no renewal. Worked reasonably fine until time to renew. Paid for renewal, but the app wouldn’t recognize it. No support through the app; emailed the support address on their website and was referred to the (nonexistent) app support.

RFinder Aop. The most useful and versatile of its genre. What it may lack occasionally in accuracy it makes up for in comprehensiveness and timeliness. Worldwide it’s one of a kind.

Not quite as advertised. While this app can serve as a repeater reference, functionality is identical, and no better than some competing free apps. Search functionality does not work against current filter selection. Filtering cannot be sequentially applied to allow drilling down to a small list of repeaters. Call sign search does not apply to current repeater list, but external website. Distance filtering zeros out values when using offline database, even when using "last known position". Filter and search makes calls to external database & website even after continental database is downloaded. Constantly giving GPS error messages when using downloaded database. Why is this $13?

Does this app get any support?. There are a lot of old reviews here. For something that is the official online repeater directory of the ARRL and other organizations it seems pretty ignored. I cannot get it to let me override my location. It always says it can’t find the place I am searching on. I have signed out and back in with no improvement. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled with no improvement. Any suggestions to make this app more reliable?

Customer service is all but non existent. For the first few weeks the app worked great and I was actually very happy with it. However, it eventually stopped working all together. I open the app and nothing appears in the list. I’ve tried messing with settings to get results in the list and nothing works. I reached out to the developer and after a few emails I finally got a response. They asked for screenshots but didn’t say of what. I screenshot everything and emailed all of the images and haven’t heard anything since. I downloaded “RepeaterBook” for free and I get almost everything I need right from there. I barely ever right these things, but I can’t help but to warn any potential subscribers of what they’re getting themselves into.

No support. Paid a week ago but never got my account details. All I got is the PayPal payment confirmation. Tried numerous times to contact them via the given support contact email as well as the associated PayPal email - nothing. Just paid 13 bucks for nothing. If it is no longer supported it’s fine but I’d like my 13 bucks back, this app taken off App Store and the website closed please.

Fantastic App. I really like this app. Nothing like having the repeater book in your pocket. Quick turnaround from Bob when I had a support question. Just works!

As advertised with great support!. The program does what you would expect. I had an issue with the website interface and had excellent speedy support resolving my issue.

Highly functional and intuitive. This app and associated devices are revolutionary in that they are in a class all by themselves and yet the company also provides top of the line customer service that truly sets them apart rarely can you find a quality product and a creator that basically updates that product to feel like a brand new ever evolving project that truly keeps on giving…RFinder is making the Ham Radio experience quicker more intuitive and in a world looking for inclusivity ..more accessible than ever before so if you are looking to go from zero to hero in no time flat and be at the cutting edge of what’s new in ham radio RFinder is the route to go.

GPS errors. I’d like to know why this app, which costs money, can’t seem to update my location and constantly gives GPS error messages while a competing app, which is free, updates with no problem. Location services are turned on but still refuses to refresh when I’m at a new location.

Great app. Easy to use with the most complete list of repeaters I have found! They stand by their product with great support if needed!

Very unhappy. I purchased this app today and it doesn’t bring up the directory at all . I’ve looked through the entire menu and can’t make it appear !

Useless since doesn’t work offline. If you have internet then this works decent, but in a disaster situation this is useless. Instead of developing these features a good option would be to link up with the app Gaia and have a RFinder later in there

Junk. This app has a whole list of issues. The shift information is missing. The menu button randomly stops working and you have to force quit the app to fix it. GPS positioning doesn’t seem to work and you have to specify your location manually. The TPE export function does not produce a valid file. Finally, the UI is very amateurishly designed. Very disappointing, This should not have received ARRL approval.

Terrible, how could ARRL recommend this. No zero stars? Entered my location, it came up with my lat Lon and correct grid, FN12wb, then proceeded to tell me the closet repeater was an N7xxx in Casper Wyoming!! I fiddled with this for several days and have yet to get a correct repeater list for my area. Total waste of money!

WARNING: Password reset now dead link. Headless App.. Update: The password reset link is now dead. No response from email. Headless dead app. This worked great for a few days, now it won’t display anything from database. No receipt found issue. Real HAM. This app is produced by a company that produces food stamp apps. My subscription could feed a family for as many days as the app actually worked.

No repeaters found. Tried to pull up a list of repeaters nearby and app says there are none. The lat/lon and maidenhead are correct. Work around. Go to repeater list and drag window down/release.

Easy access to repeater info. I had downloaded this app because RFinder was endorsed by the ARRL (American Radio Relay League), the national organization for amateur radio operators. The app's default mode seems to display repeaters based on current GPS coordinates. The one snag I had was figuring out how to search for repeaters in other areas without having to input latitude and longitude coordinates (i.e., Washington, DC). There is a menu at the bottom of the display screen for repeater list but searching on location is not an option there. However, pressing "Menu" in the upper left corner of the screen opens tabbed menus in a column and selecting Override Location leads to a screen allowing for searching based on city and state or coordinates. This app is handy for locating nearby repeaters but also for distant repeaters so that data can be programmed ahead of time, anticipating travel to that area. Price is reasonable and consists of a yearly updated subscription. Oh, tech support is fantastic, as the author responded promptly (within an hour or so - I didn't actually time the response) to my question. A must-have app if you need repeater data at your fingertips and left your directory at home. Earl (Sandy) Stradtman, Jr. KM4SSS

Not worth the purchase price. I downloaded this app after seeing it was the official repeater directory of the ARRL. I was disappointed to see out of date information. I attempted to update some out of date repeaters and found there is no way to do so in the app. I attempted to add a new repeater that is not yet listed in the app and I got several different errors when trying to do so. Until the developer improves the app, don’t waste your money.

Excellent response from vendor. I have been an RFinder subscriber since 2015 and have enjoyed using it in my travels. I no longer carry a written Repeater Directory. Recently I had some difficulty in renewing my subscription from the RF Finder website due to my ignorance of how the App Store works. Bob was very attentive and responded immediately to my emails but I was traveling during that time and couldn't take care of the issue online. When I got home I called him on the phone and he easily corrected my problem. The issue was not with RFinder but this 72-year-old retired family doc just had some difficulties in paying for my subscription renewal. The App Store payment system was klutzy for me. I could have re-subscribed online since Bob says that that method is easier. A very happy user. Dave K8WPE

I LOVE IT!. This RFinder App is indispensible when traveling; no more pulling off the road to look up what repeaters are in the area! It does well all that I would expect it to do, and more. I'm so glad I heard about it.....support is quick and right on point. This is a great app! Ray N6HE

Can’t change Locations. App reports repeaters using GPS of current location. Can’t Override locations. Keeps saying location can’t be found.

New user, poor listings. Seems to work well, but it started out missing many or most local repeaters that are clearly listed in ARRL’s printed book. After a while, it did list correctly. It also maps the results - a significant plus. Overall, looks good!

Not sure it’s worth the money. I travel a bit and the repeater list here never seems to be accurate. It shows repeaters that aren’t operational any more and quite often is missing details like PL tones.

Great App and fast support. I am new to Ham radio so this app helps me discover what is around my home. I like to look up local repeaters when I travel. This App is great for keeping me informed on what is around me along my route and at my destination. Also, support is fast and accurate. 5 stars!

A waste.. If you want to play ridiculous "subscription' games, with "no receipt"errors and erroneous expiration dates for $13 this is the app for you!!! I wound up having to use google anyway, I should have saved the money.

RF Finder. Don’t buy it I can never get it to work, sorry peace of junk, it might work one time and the next time you try it nope it don’t work, and also never show the right expiration date, I went to my bank to see it I was changed and guess what I was but still don’t work, as far as I am concerned it a waste of money

The app is broken, DO NOT BUY. I purchased the app after seeing it had an ARRL endorsement. I installed on a new iPhone XR and and year old iPad. After the install, it halts all functionality. Menu button does not work. You have to close the app, open it again, the menu button works one time and then everything freezes. This app should not be in the iOS App Store and not be endorsed by the ARRL. I have contacted the pusher (developer) and no joy. Trying to get a refund seems to be an uphill battle even though I only purchased it 2 days ago. The concept is good but look at the vendors website. The latest updates are from 2012. I’ll dispute the payment and move on to another app or use RR. I have many iOS apps, this is the worst. It also reminded me that getting a refund from Apple is a chore.

App crashes when refreshing stations. App does not display local stations and crashes when attempting to refresh local listings. This pretty much renders the app useless. This has never been a stable product.

Pretty Weak. Overall it’s a pretty weak app, I’m deleting it. The map function is basically useless to me. It doesn’t show anything further than about 20 miles. I can see mountaintops from my QTH farther than that. Let alone for trip planning. If it could scroll around and then reload based on the screen center it would be an improvement.

In app charges not applied. Several times have paid for app and not received credit. Tried to submit a claim and app says never paid. I have invoice from Apple showing charges.

App appears broken for iOS. Purchased and installed. Worked for a few hours then quit. Acted as if it couldn’t reach the server. Deleted and reinstalled with no change. Tried messaging the company with no reply and no one listed in store. Link to company website doesn’t work either. Seems to be a waste of $12.

Will NOT renew and update. Had this app for years. Noticed in setting that the “subscription “ expired a fee years ago. I tap on renew and it acts like it is renewing my subscription and tries to charge my account. It then says renewal successful. BUT in reality, nothing is getting purchased, there are no receipts to restore the purchase and it still shows expired years ago. Tried multiple times to renew but it won’t work. Complained a year ago and no response. If the developer won’t take the time to fix this app, you shouldn’t waste your time, or money, installing it.

Amazing!. This app does everything it is supposed to do. Bob is a real asset to the Amateur Radio community. Works flawlessly on the RFinder M1 as well!

Good support response. The coming of IOS12 disabled their specify a location function. I notified the support address and they got right on it. They kept me up to date on their progress and it was soon fixed. Very good app!

Does not work. I purchased this app to be able to check repeaters as I traveled. The repeaters that it shows close to me, in MT, are in Belgium and Texas! I cannot change location to check, does not recognize town names. The map is about half a world off.

Does not work.. The program has my location correct, but sometimes it does show near by repeaters, other times it shows no repeater, and other time it shows repeaters that are a thousand miles away as 0.0 miles away. Bad investment is this app.

Confusing interface, inaccurate listings, bugs never fixed. The ARRL obviously never tested this app before choosing it as its official repeater directory. The database is inaccurate, with repeaters from states over a thousand miles away showing up as my “nearest repeaters”. The interface essentially doesn’t work right - searching for a location and then setting it as the current location for the list rarely works. Setting the selection switches for repeater type rarely works. This app needs to be removed from the app store until they get it right - that alone would save potential users literally hours of frustration....

Changed from Broken to fixed. I have to agree with recent reviews. The app works once then functions like menu are disabled until you close the app and reopen. Also, it’s not coming up with search results when I input a new location or even use my GPS location! I have the latest IOS for iPad and iPhone. If not fixed I will not be renewing. I loved having the app on my phone but not if it doesn’t work. I hope they read these comments or discover and fix this bug soon or they will lose many customers. UPDATE: I discovered the app was updated and fixed. I deleted it from my iPad and reinstalled it. First thing I noticed was my local repeaters appeared under the list where previously there was nothing. Then I entered a location using city/state and it gave me the Lat/Long. As soon as I selected ‘set location’ the app immediately closed. I reopened and the repeaters at the new location I entered appeared. It didn’t crash when I selected my GPS location and went to the repeater list. So it works but first closes after setting a new location. Disregard above comments. Seems to be working without crashing after entering a new location.

I can not recommend this app.. Dropped $12 on an app that according to "reviews" was great. Not my findings at all. One in six repeaters listed in my area were not accessible and some info was completely inaccurate compared to other resources. I can't count on this app at all. Wasted $12. One star for a pretty UI.

Filters. Unable to filter unwanted repeaters. When I use a filter the app won’t show any repeaters. I’ve tried several combinations from filtering one band to filtering 3-4.

Handy Reference Tool.... App provides useful information for my local area, service integrates well with my radio software for easy uploading to my transceiver. Developer is responsive to customer requests. Highly recommended.

A Great Effort Team.... An excellent presentation. Easy to use. A big pat on the back to the team for the great effort in making this App a pleasure to use. Many Thanks...

RF Finder. This was a great find! Very well laid out and has everything a ham radio enthusiast looks for in a great repeater reference guide. Worth every penny and has worldwide coverage! I travel a lot and like the auto locate feature...very handy.

Rfinder is a great tool. Most useful and stable on iPad especially when traveling.

Review update. After some concerns and posting a negative review, I got a pleasant email from Bob who made this app. He has been helping solve a couple of issues and hopefully I will have it up and running properly soon. A number of factors could be behind it...my location, etc

Expensive for a non functional s/w. I bought this app with the intention of using it in another country. However all I seem to be getting at the moment is a major issue associated with a non functioning GPS. If you have GPS on your device and it is switched off, this app will keep attempting to access the device without even allowing registration. $9.99 for this useless package. I am very unhappy.

LD

Rfinder APP. Excellent product and customer and technical service.

App working on both iPhone & iPad. App working well on both units. Logging in was a tiny bit confusing since I did not see anything about using my RAC password to set up account. As for the iPhone I deleted the program and reinstalled and everything worked the 2nd time. I would recommend being selective as to what frequencies you are looking for, if all are active you will get information overload. I’m trying bands one at a time. The other functions are useful (looking up call signs), getting to know what the program can do. App support is excellent and for me it was immediate. I would recommend making the company website a favourite to keep up-to-date on what is happening. de VE3CQU

Great app and great suppprt too!. I can see why clubs are making this App their standard! There was a problem with the renewal and Bob emailed me proactively to let me know and how the fix it so I didn't get stuck. Thanks again for writing such dependable apps for the HAM community!

App not up to date like desktop version. This app clearly has potential, but it doesn't have the repeater info that the desktop version has. There are two longstanding repeaters close to me that are not shown in the app, yet they are on the desktop version. Both repeaters are represented in the free RepeaterBook app. When I'm traveling I would like to be able to rely on accurate information on the go and not having to double check info on a desktop computer.

RFinder Web. Love the program. Have used it to program several radios using the RT System. I also have forgotten my passwords. I've contacted via email and phone. Bob has been much help in getting my access back. Thank You Bob/W2CYK for your help. DON VA7DGP

Better than ARRL directiry. Been using this app for over a year, find it a better reference than the ARRL repeater directory. The ability to access both from the iOS app and a desktop is a big plus, especially as one can export the data to your favourite programming software. Can't wait to see coverage maps in the iOS app

Excellent App. I'm very impressed with this app. It gives me everything I was looking for in terms of a location based repeater directory and I'm sure there are other functions that I just haven't discovered yet! I have only had one question that I needed to ask about subscription renewal but Bob was very quick to answer that by email. I highly recommend this app all around.

Poor support. Purchased on recommendation of ARRL. Downloaded and registered. Error says incorrect password. Emailed help - W2CYK - no response in past 3days and still does not work. Poor App with poor support.

Does not work at all. Does not work at all. Going to try to get my money back. Buyer beware.

Incredible service & a great program. On Sunday I was unable to save or edit my work on my rts program. I called rfinder to see if they could help me. First, I couldn't believe they answered the phone on a Sunday @ 1600. Second, he figured out it wasn't the rfinder program but the rts software. He took the time to mirror my computer, showed me how to fix the issue and fixed it!!! Now I know how to do it myself. Specifically the rfinder app is awesome. I'm planning a trip and it now can get all the frequencies for your route and show a map which you can adjust or add waypoints!!! Incredible and thank you :)

Scotland Works!!. There are events in our lives, over which we have no control. My most recent occurred in September. Our children gave us an all expenses paid trip to Scotland in observance of our 40th Wedding anniversary. So...like any ham would do, I charged my HT and headed for Scotland (with my wife). What a pleasure it was to have the RFinder WW Repeater Directory on my IPad. From Edinburgh to Perth, Glasgow, and Inverness, there was full access to all of the repeater data I needed. Thank you, Bob, for a terrific program and at a very reasonable price.

Terrible UI. Difficult to use. Gives poor results. Can't believe these guys were given the monopoly on repeater data. Waist of money. Back to looking up in a book

Best repeater app. Have emailed customer support a few times. The filters do not work correctly I try to search for dstar and get DMR all the time I can't turn that filter off. Wish the arrl would go with RepeaterBook instead

Essential tool for all Hams!!!. By far the best and most user friendly app made by a ham for hams!!!! Awesome tool!!!

Great App with Great Support!. I've been using this app and its' web interface for several years and am very happy with it. It does what it says it does and is well worth the price. The only time I had a problem (which was user error), I received a phone call from one of their top people within minutes of sending them an email. Not only did he quickly solve my problem, he also pointed out other features that are useful to me. Ron N8IKG

Wonderful resource. This is a great app. I travel a lot, so having a complete repeater directory on my iPhone and iPad is a great tool to have. I can easily find a list of repeaters in the location I'm in. Even better, I can make updates or corrections to repeater information right from the app if need be. Contrast that with a print edition that can't be corrected and won't be updated until the next publish date. Well worth it!

Great app and outstanding support!!. I love this app. So much easier to use than having to search the web for a current list of repeaters. Plus, the developers noticed I had purchased on the web before buying the app, and they contacted me and said they were extending my subscription by a year, since I couldn't get the iOS app without paying a second time. Awesome people to deal with!

Very satisfied!. Overall, this app has been an incredibly effective update to the old method of scouring the repeater book. The fact that a subscription also provides access online makes my life a LOT easier as well. I liked it before the ARRL partnership, but out of all the similar options I tried, this is really the most complete and deserving of the endorsement. Great job!

You Need This - Really!. Highly impressed with the clarity and functionality of this app on my iPhone, perfect companion when traveling, or even just discovering what is on air in your area. Install on the iPhone or use with the RT Systems software to program your Icom, Yaesu or other rig. Tech support is excellent, and the owner is very friendly, helpful, and more than willing to help with any questions! Run, don’t walk to buy this app.

Useless. This is as bad as the other reviews say. I wasted money on it. RepeaterBook has better search tools. The fact that he arrl endorses this is sad and make me question their decisions.

No repeaters found. Same issue as others. No repeaters found.

Rarely displays repeaters. I downloaded this app because it was endorsed by ARRL but am very dissatisfied. It rarely displays any repeaters.

Worse every year. RFinder/ARRL no longer get official updates from the state repeater councils. The data in this app will only get more stale. Many of the repeater councils are now working with RepeaterBook. Go get your fresh data over there.

This is slick!. I was a little hesitant to try this on the iPhone, but after talking to the developer I decided to take the plunge. It's nice. You can either use the GPS or enter coordinates to search. On thing to be aware of though is that you must update the list before you do your first search or the search will be blank. Makes lot's of sense in hindsight. I had subscribed to the web so I could use the service with CHIRP. I had a question and got a call from the developer! Talk about service. I highly recommend this app for anyone who travels with a rig

Awesome App!!. I have been using this app since May of this year. It works beautifully. Not only do I use it on my iPhone5, but also the web app and the app that is linked to the RT Systems Software. For the 9.99 price tag you have access to all three (3). If I don't have may laptop to program my radio I can use my iPad to get access. If I don't have my iPad with me and use the app on my phone. It is far more consistent then the internet to find the frequencies your are searching for and if you don't know the cities around you, you just tell the app how many miles to dearch for around you and it finds all of the repeaters you need. I am a customer for life. Keep up the great job Bob!

Worth The Money!. I have a LOT of applications for amateur radio, including satellite working, EME, Packet, etc. I like this program. I have been using a different application for callsign and repeater lookup. I like not having to find my ARRL pocket-book for searching-out all the neat little things that can become burdensome for we "Ham radio guys", and this includes girls of course. I was on an HF net this evening and wanted to lookup a callsign in Arizona and was surprised at how quickly the information popped-up. It has everything I look for and then some. Just for giggles I popped-out of this screen and went back to the application and found a six-meter IRLP node nearby. Really? Trust me, it's worth the money. If only it could remove the nearby garage band that pounds on drums around this time each week!

Best repeater directory app I have found. Responsive developer.. After trying several repeater directory apps, which ranged from pretty good to pretty terrible, I discovered the best so far - RFinder. I mostly wanted an app that provided repeater information well (which this does) but I was intrigued when I discovered the novel social networking aspects of this app - for example the ability to "check-in" to a repeater, or automatically announce your presence on a repeater to Twitter or Facebook. I have contacted the developer a couple of times and both times received a helpful email response answering my question in one instance and solving my problem in the other - both times within a couple of hours. I only had one beef with the previous version of the app - you needed an Internet connection every time you moved a few miles. That concern was addressed in this update. Now you can download an entire continent at a time. Not free, but in my opinion definitely worth the $9.99 annual subscription.

The Best Repeater Directory. It's time to throw out that old paper repeater directory and get RFinder. I've been using the app for a number of years and it just keeps evolving. You can find a repeater no matter where you are. I'm just starting to experiment with the route function for an upcoming trip. I use RT Systems to program my radio so it looks like it will be a snap to get the repeaters programmed into my mobile. To say this was a tedious hit-or-miss process in the past is an understatement. Short version of this review. I highly recommend RFinder!

Incomplete info and too expensive. This app is competing with free sources of information - and sadly isn't as accurate or complete as those other sources. Save your money and use the well-known free sources of info.

1,000,000 Thumbs up👍. Finally a repeater directory worth downloading. Listing are up to date. Since I travel a lot I like the search along the route feature. Web only available. Cannot wait to use this with rt systems. And all for only $9.99. Best ten bucks I have spent so far. I was reluctant at first. But I am glad I did. And yes they even answer the phone when you call. I was surprise when bob pick up. Unheard of these days. Answer all my questions that I ask. You will not regret the purchase. KJ4MSP 73, Luis

Crashes. While the web site works, the App crashes and does not provide search results.

Great repeater directory app with great support!. I really appreciate having an app that uses my location to help me find local repeaters. This is easy to use, and the fact that the ARRL recommends it is even better. Plus, I've gotten great support: I had a subscription renewal issue (my fault, not the developer's fault), and when I asked for I help I actually received a phone call in person to work it out. The problem was resolved to my great satisfaction and I enjoyed having the personal level of support. Help support this great program!!!!

A MUST HAVE For the Frequent Traveler. My job requires a lot of travel - by both auto and air. At a minimum, I always have an HT, but how to find the repeaters in a strange area? The ARRL Repeater Directory lists repeaters by towns you never heard of - and locations like "Buzzard Mountain" are no help to the traveler. Enter RFinder - it KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE and lists the nearby repeaters in order of increasing distance. You will be on the air with the "locals" in no time, making new friends and learning about the area. Plus, it's cheaper than buying a Repeater Directory! The customer service is great, too. Highly Recommended!

Resubscribed but not acknowledged. App says expired after a week. Query to support fell on deaf ears. Silence.

Poor customer service. I paid to renew but the renewal didn't occur. Since I still had a repeater list, I didn't notice for six months. The seller would not restore the six months I didn't use.

Needs updated graphics for iPhone X. The data is fine, but the letterboxed display looks bad on the iPhone X. Update your graphics!

Well done! An app for on the go hams.. Been looking for a convenient way of carrying up to date repeater data on my trips. I never have the listings with me and the booklets are out of date as soon as they are published. The map function showing where the repeaters are is great. I read the forum posts before buying into the yearly cost of $9.95 and found the developer to be sincere as to updating the data and helping the users. He gets my full backing for his efforts as he has come up with a great product and intends on supporting it.

Where are you?. Subscription renewed... but can’t reset the subscription nor contact the server. And the Help link here in the App Store gets the same error!!! Fix it!!!!!

Great App!. I had this app last year, but didn't renew. I came back this year when the route search function was implemented and I'm glad I did. The repeater resource is the best I've found now that they've added the search along a route feature. I use the repeater search mostly for traveling, so it suits my needs ALMOST to a T. The ONLY reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because of a lack of filters for simplex stations. If you don't want all the simplex stations, most of which are echolink and irlp nodes, you have to go in and manually delete them. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have a filter in a later update. I will also say the developer is SUPER responsive if you have issues. I emailed and received an immediate response. That definitely makes up for the small nitpick of a lack of filters.

A really handy Ham tool. Shortly after downloading this App I left for Italy. I spent time with Ham friends who live on the island of Capri, and try out the App entered their calls and got the full names and addresses instantly. I checked for Repeaters and found the only one on Capri as well as others across on the mainland. I returned 2 days ago from New Mexico where it worked equally well. To have all that info in my iPhone is well worth the few dollars.

Totally useless. Lacks intuitive input

New to ham radio. I'm fairly new to ham and recently purchased my new HT (Yaesu VX-7R) and picked up their USB cable and programming application (ADMS) which has the ability to tie onto an online database of repeaters and RFinder is one of the service providers listed. After exchanging a few emails with Bob (thanks!!) was able to purchase the app which comes with a year access to the online DB. I was able to easily find all the repeaters in my area and program my radio quickly. I am planning on a trip soon and wanted to know what repeaters are going to be available where I'm going and looked it up with the RFinder app. When I'm on the road I'll be looking up repeaters and try to make as many contacts as I can while traveling nearly 1100 miles. I've been very happy with RFinder and the accuracy of the information provided. Will renew when my subscription runs out and looking forward to any improvements to the app along the way!

Fantastic App/ Great support. I have been using RFinder for a year and it has been very helpful in programing my hand held and mobile radios through RT Systems. It has also been great in finding and linking to repeaters throughout California. I am looking forward to using the App on my vacation this summer, and anticipate using the new repeater coverage maps when they come out this year. When seeking support Bob was very helpful and responded within minutes of sending an email. His help and understanding was greatly appreciated. Keep the updates coming.

Good stuff. I was amazed its well worth the money. It saved me so much time from to having to type in everything by hand. You simply import the file in and it's all filled out. It's also nice you can choose how many miles out you want, and what bands you want to include. It also found a bunch of repeaters I didn't even have listed so it gave me much more to listen and talk on that I didn't have in the past. I had some issues getting a password but that was my fault. The owner quickly responded and helped solve any problems I might have had.

Nice when it works.. Rarely works when I seek to find local repeater frequencies.

It used to work great.. App closes spontaneously. On an iPad with iOS 13. Crashes on Subscription Info. App is up to date.

reat product. help mefind repeaters on my last cruise great resourse

Wonderful App for Amateur Radio. We travel across the US and Canada about 10 months of the year. So finding local repeaters and keeping up with Dstar and other changes is very challenging. Rfinder is our equalizer because it has a data base that is updated at real time. When someone enters a change to their repeater the next Rfinder client lookup is already up to date. This is much better than buying a paper or cd directory. N1AEW

Fast customer support. Fast support for a great app.

Unable to lookup using location. This was a great tool, and I have subscribed to it for many years. My IPhone did an update to the newest version. I am no longer able to see results using override location. I use this application while traveling, and updating frequency’s throughout Nevada for events and exercises. I hope the problem is corrected very soon. Thank you John Abrott KD7NHC Nevada ARRL SEC

Best Directory I've seen!. I saw this app on a podcast then in my RT Systems programmer. WOW! This app is great! Never been so easy to program my radio. Don't believe the nay sayers. This database is great and can be even better. If you find errors, submit correct info thru the app and they can fix it. If we all work together on this we can have the ultimate directory. I'n your pocket, gps enabled. I really love to be able to see whats on the towers i'm near and locate broadcast points for repeaters. The app also looks up call signs! What more could you want? Get the app you won't be sorry.

One Word…AWESOME!!. This APP does everything as claimed! I’ve been using in since 2012 and I’m still amazed with it. Probably the most important part is that you actually get a reply from the developers!! Can you believe a response on a Sunday within 1/2 hour on sending an email? When I look back on my emails, maybe they weren’t the greatest, BUT, it might be in my wording, but I’m still here. In the end, still using the app and renewing again for the next 18+ months. Again AWESOME!!! To Bob and his team, job well done!!

Save you money … unsupported software.. I am ARRL member … it is hard to believe they recommend this application. Worked in the past … now is totally inoperable.

Too expensive.. Disrespectful to customers to make them pay 25 dollars for an annual subscription. I’d like a refund because the app is not useful without the subscription

Worthless. I won’t be renewing subscription

Wonderful App and Superb Tech Support. This is an absolute wonderful App. I works - period. I am using it on my iPhone, on the website as well as with all programing software from rtsystems.. It works and integrates seamlessly every time. Using this program is a million times better than sourcing the info from different sites and try to type it in. And nowadays its working on Echolink too. I called into their support to ask about a password reset and Bob answered the phone in ten seconds. He answered my question and got my issue resolved in less than a minute.. Great App and superb tech support. Thank you Bob for putting this together and enhancing it all the time. 73s N5JN
