Great app! One usability issue in latest version. I have been having longstanding problems with back and neck pain, and have found Muscle Premium a really useful way to understand my body better, using the wonderful 3-D interactive touchscreen UI. One usability issue in the current release (5); the older version had a menu item called "full musculature" which showed you all the muscles of the entire body at once. That feature still exists in the current version, but is hard to find. The user has to select any specific muscle, then click on the ">" in the top left hand corner of the screen. This will open a drop-down menu, with the first item being "Muscular System". Click there, and you can see the whole body again.

Not worth it. Does show full action only pieces at a time. Useless if you want see what is involved, say when walking or climbing stairs. Not worth the money

Awesomeness. Great tool for NASM!!

skcaj. I have been really enjoying this app. It is very good for demonstrating to patients how various muscles are integrated together to perform actions and how a patient's activities can cause pain or irritation. There are a lot of good attributes in this app, but there is also some room for improvement. I am having trouble opening the "superficial wrist muscles" section under the "attachment and action" tab. Every time I click on it, the program shuts down and I tried everything listed in the trouble shooting section, none of which worked. One thing I would like to see is a pathology/gallery section similar to the one seen in the skeletal anatomy app by Visible Body. One that would demonstrate how poor body mechanics can lead to disability. I would also like to have the ability to add/remove/fade various parts during the action videos myself.

Best App for Self Discovery and Navigation. I have appreciated this app since day one. A perfect companion for those with heightened internal awareness. Certainly, movers and healers, but honestly, shouldn’t every human want to know what is inside their own meat suit?

Beautiful app!!. Amazing for being able to get a 3 dimensional and inside/outside view of the muscles. Highly recommended. The best I've found yet.

Massage Therapist. I’ve been using this app for 5 years now and can’t imagine working without this PDQ reference for my profession!

Muscles. Great study tool!

I got ripped off by purchasing this app. Nothing is labeled and there is nothing to read regarding an explanation of what you are viewing. Not a learning app. Just a bunch of 3-D pictures that can be manipulated into different viewing positions. Didn’t transfer onto my iPad. Total ripoff!

Not perfect but still great. The joint mechanics animations are not accurate but overall this is an amazing tool. I wish that there was a fair way to buy everything for a reasonable price rather than buying what you think is everything and finding more layers of things to buy. Feels like a bit of a cheat and greedy. Poor business model.

Used to be my go-to…now doesn’t work. This has been my go-to anatomy app for years and was crucial for getting me through PTA school, and I use it regularly in my career, but since updating my phone it will not launch, and I have the most recent version of the app downloaded. I have found no other way to report this, so hoping this will help get it resolved. I rely on this app and need it to work again.

Kinesiology help. This was a big help with my kinesiology class, including insertion and origin and which muscles are involved with each functional movement.

Good but.... Very good and amazing graphics! Great for learning about muscles. BUT! It lacks some pretty basic features, which makes the app far less useful than it could have been: 1) There is no way to save a view. It can take several minutes to get just the view you want and if you frequently need that view, it gets quite frustrating having to redo it every time! 2) When you click on an animation link, there is no back button, so whatever view you came from is lost and has to be re-done 3) When you exit the app and later come back in, it very frequently loses where you were, again making you start from scratch at the home screen. 4) With all the anatomy terminology, it would be very useful to be able to tap on a word get a definition as well as the option to Google it (or at least copy to clipboard, so that you can switch to the browser and paste it there) 5) Please include common plain-English terms in your keyword search. For example, if you search for "ham strings", you currently get no match. It would be great if it would match the corresponding muscle group, so you do not have to know the Latin name when trying to look up a muscle. Please address this and the app would be a 5-star app in my book!

Great for studying. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist in acute care and inpatient rehab settings and this program is great for studying head and neck muscles as it gives the origin and insertion, innervation by what cranial nerves, and the basic function of the muscles. I'm retaining much more studying with this program than I ever did in grad school and the 3D aspect makes visualizing and understanding muscle relationships between each other much clearer than I ever was able to get from a book or non-dynamic image. Thank you for making this program. I also love the quiz feature, and while basic, it helps in the retention process. You may want to allow users to customize quizzes such as not only being quizzed on muscle identification but also selecting what cranial nerves innervate it and also the basic functions of the muscles possibly in multiple choice format. That would make the quizzes even better! Being able to study by muscle groups or single muscles helps. Very good separation of muscle groups. Before this program trying to memorize all the muscles seemed confusing and insurmountable, with this program I study a group a day or few days until I am confident in it then move on to another group all the while using quizzes to help keep things fresh.

Wish they would make just 1 change.... This is a great app overall and I would recommend it HOWEVER there is one thing that I would LOVE to have seen them do. I bought this app specifically for the actions of the muscles... So here goes.... I wish they would have broken down each muscle and animated the action. Right now they show the actions of all the muscles responsible for that particular motion ie head flexion or shoulder elevation. But you can't see that isolated muscle doing the motion unless it is the most superficial muscle. There is no way to see muscles that are deeper. Usually you can hide structures in this app which I love but for some reason you can't when it's showing the motion. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE take this review into consideration, VISIBLE BODY!!!! Otherwise the app is wonderful! Definitely worth the money.

Split screen is not supported on iPad. Split screen is not supported on iPad

iPhone X support ?. Please add iPhone X support.

Massage Therapist. As a certified MT, this app is easy to use and helps my clients visually understand relationships between soft tissues and bone structures.

One Of The Best Apps. One of the best apps that I’ve purchased. I use it all the time and hope it continues to stay up to date with the constant changes to iOS.

Great app. I’m not in the medical field but I love this app. I originally got it because I had chronic pain in my hip that various doctors couldn’t seem to diagnose. So I took it upon myself to try to figure it out. This app helped me to communicate to my doctors a more precise location of the deep hip pain I had. I found though that I enjoyed learning about anatomy and the way the body works. 5 stars!!

Well worth the money. As a layperson myself trying to learn about my body to address several issues I have found this app to be invaluable.

NEW APRIL 2020 UPDATE IPAD. Great update finally added the utility of the Apple Pencil

Very frustrated. Each of the A&P/medical apps has very little videos you can play to learn. They do though have tons of videos that shows a lock sign on them. When you hit that lock, it shows the app you need to buy for another $20-$30 but when you do that, it’s just the same. Very little media library and more apps you need to buy. I’m done trying and I want a refund. Waste of my time. I hate manipulating companies.

Phenomenal app. 100% worth the money. I am currently in school for physical therapy and this app has been such a useful tool to study and learn on the go. The images are clear and it has a ton of useful information and easy to navigate through. They even have practice quizzes and you can take and you can pin point muscles or areas on the body and place a note there for added study help. The pathologies are also a bonus! You have the entire human body broken down by body part, bone, nerves, blood vessels, and muscles with detailed precise information. Best app I have seen for A&P! Gorgeous graphics

Just wonderful. Back in the 70s, I had to research so many books at different libraries investing so much time just to have an idea on how the human body moved and other topics. It was just impossible to imagine the ins and outs of the human body. But now...students have a myriad of choices to learn about the human body. This app is for me a treasure that I can share with my patients and help them understand about their condition. Being concious about it, they can take an informed decision on how to take care of themselves. Thank you for all the effort you put into developing this app. Blessings.

Good start, but limits soon apparent. The resources are amazing, but the limits soon become apparent. For all the technical accuracy, modeling, displays, the real utility comes in the areas which - despite purchasing the full bundle package - still require additional purchase. Additionally, the quiz sections seem to be at a basic level, with the same questions repeating, no additional levels available. This is a fascinating and informative app, but the limitations keep it from being a great app.

Fab!. I have been using this app for 8 years as part of my practice as a movement trainer and teacher. I love it and even my clients love it.

Worth every dime. Worth every dime

Excellent study tool. As a personal trainer it's helps tremendously to know movements and muscles that cause the movements. I'm more of a visual learner so actually being able to see the movement involved in 3D is an extra (you can rotate the view of the muscles while they are Moving). I'd suggest you watch their video of how it works to get a clearer understanding. Their quizzes are ok, but not the greatest, and the definitions of structures are in a plain format, so kind of boring which is why i gave 4 stars. Overall it's good if your trying to understand movement, muscle/tendon, skeleton, nerve structure etc, it does help and I would recommend it for people that want to understand anatomy and motion, if they found a way to make the definitions/explanations more interesting with a little more visuals I would definitely give 5 stars. I hope this helped

Sky. For the longest time I have had trouble remembering the Insertions and origins using flash cards and looking at charts. There were SO many muscles grouped together and when taking a test I had to remember all of them spelled correctly or I would miss the question 😵‍💫. Now that I have this app I have noticed the difference! This makes it fun and is always there for you, which is great when you are trying to recall the information halfway through the day to yourself. I have noticed Major differences when I take quizzes since I started using this app! Love it!👍👍👍💪 GET THIS!

Finally Apps Med. Students Can Use. When the "Atlas 2" came out I was impressed. It was the best anatomical app, but still not detailed enough for med or chiropractic students. I wrote a review begging for apps with this amount of detail, and stated that I would be happy to pay $100 for such an app since that is the price of a text book anyway... They are here!!! This app and the "Premium Skeletal" app have this level of detail and, in combination with its unrivaled interactive ability, these apps are a must have for students or for doctor's use as a reference. I am studying Neurology, and so I would like to now beg... PLEASE VISIBLE BODY MAKE AN APP FOR THE NERVOUS SYSTEM!!! I know the "Atlas" and the "Muscular P.A." apps have nerves in them, but I mean an app dedicated to neurology. This would obviously require by far the most amount of detail, so I state again... I WOULD GLADLY PAY $100 FOR IT, AND I KNOW PLENTY OF FELLOW STUDENTS THAT AGREE!!!

Much Deeper Than Just Muscles. This app is still awesome; making muscles faded and seeing how the system works with the skeleton makes learning so much easier, particularly in the 3D space. I am not sure there is anything out there that shows the spatial relationships as well or makes the origins and insertions so clear. ____This is an impressive program, particularly since it is such a deep dive into the muscular system. In college I learned the origins and insertions on static plates so it was a bit tough to correlate bony regions with their muscular partners. This app makes the connection so much easier to understand especially with the pins and color maps and ability to hide, show and fade structures. The textures look very realistic but still clearly delineate the line between muscle bellies and their tendons. I wish my old anatomy atlas could have spun around as smoothly as this and allowed me to dissect the muscles so easily. Great app!

Review. I am very disappointed with this app for the cost. It’s is very difficult to navigate it. The quality is very poor. Not good pictures. The levels of information is only entry level. One has to pay more to get additional information.

NOT A PREMIUM. This app does not have the pathological section. You have to pay for this which I think is very unfair because you advertise on this page through the pictures that it is open to be used! When I open the app, the pathology section is locked! I was skeptical and I was right to be so. It looks like you have all the features that are with it but you don’t. I have to pay $7.99 just to unlock this section which is severely wrong in my opinion. Do not advertise that picture that the pathology section is open and apart of this premium when it isn’t at all.

stopped working completely. for a paid app i do not expect it to stop working completely. unfortunately it’s been months and i have to download and pay for something else.

Beautiful detail but not basic enough for nonprofessionals. This app is amazing for visual quality and detail but it’s not user friendly enough for nonprofessionals. Every time I use it I feel lost on how to make the most of it

Waste your money!. I paid for the app and it worked for first several time using then it crashed. I can not use it anymore. The app just keeps loading forever....

Not what I expected. It function very poorly. Hard to use. It is not what I expected. I wish it shows the nerves and blood vessels. Ordered by mistake. I hope that I can get refund.

Loving it!. This is a great app! Very well worth it.. I’m from a time where we used encyclopedias for everything. Having this on my phone,Everywhere I go, the best.

Very valuable tool. Amazingly realistic and captivating illustrations of the anatomy. The instructions are clear and he app is easy to use. Rotate, zoom, and pan features are easy to perform and are very helpful. I love being able to watch the animations in 3D from any and all angles. As a medical device developer, this app is great for educating other engineers, collaborating with cross functional team members, and even serves as a nice tool to think creatively about new product ideas. On a side note, as a person who's undergone orthopedic surgeries, watching the joints move from various angles with different muscles highlighted was very cool to see and helped educate me on proper joint function and how my shoulder might be compromised from surgery.

Can’t play related content. I love this app. I bought iPad, iPhone and iMac version. However, I cannot play related content on my phone. It used to work but almost of content are not working.

Incredibly useful. I am a pilates teacher and I use this a lot- when I need to research or just pursue for fun. It makes learning the anatomy fun. Also useful tool for explaining things to clients.

Great App for LMTs. I have now referred to this app several times with clients and personally. This is a great App for Licensed Massage Therapist, PTs or Chiro! It would be a Great tool for Students as well!!

What I Was Looking For. As someone who is interested in deepening her understanding of the human body, I couldn't be happier with this app. I am not a med school student (although if you are, I cannot even begin to imagine how helpful this app would be to you), but anatomy has always been on my list of things to study. I have a body, so why shouldn't I try to understand what's up beneath the skin? This seems like an intuitive way to expand my study. The interface is idiot-proof and I cannot stop thinking how much a book that covers this much information would cost. Hundreds of dollars more, I bet. This is way cheaper and you get the added bonus of being able to manipulate the images. A very solid buy.

no cross platform support. So I hope you like studying on micro screens and always needing internet to use

Awesome app. So glad I have it to refer to

Excellent App for All Sorts of Users. A gorgeously constructed app that seriously delivers in terms of functionality: it's instructive for beginnings and for those looking to brush up alike, and it's accessible for users both inside and outside of the fields relevant to the subject matter. I personally preferred using it in conjunction with some of the other related apps to get both the overview and the specific approaches, particularly in gauging the use of the app across contexts and for various purposes (exam review, initial exposure, satisfying curiosity, self-edification, etc.), but it is also fully functional on its own, so long as the information required is that contained within this app as a standalone purchase. One note to keep in mind: the app is understandably (and necessarily) graphic intensive, takes up a lot of space, and requires some power to run with real efficiency--using it with older versions of iOS and/or on the iPad 2, tends to involve some consistent crashing--tend toward newer models for a smoother user experience.

Great app!. My chiropractor showed me this app on his iPad and I was amazed, so I bought it for me (professional singer and voice teacher) and my husband (who is in massage therapy school). It's great to be able to show my students what happens when they do something as common as taking a breath, and my husband appreciates being able to see all actions related to specific movements. The ability to take notes and send screen grabs to people is a nice little bonus. On a side note, a recent reviewer noted that they were having issues getting the app to run on 6.0.1 (which is what I am running). I called my chiro who confirmed that he is running 6.0.1 on his iPad. I also contacted customer service before I bought it and they reassured me that it was working. I bought it on Dec 23 and have had no issues. All features appear to be working fine, but I do know that if you have too many apps open (or didn't power down your device since upgrading the iOS) that apps can appear to be broken. This is well worth the price, especially if you are a student, teacher or professional user of your body (musician, athlete, etc).

A high 4 Star. Bodies are so freaking cool!. I wish I had access ten years ago to the technologies we have today. This app would have been an awesome learning tool as a Nursing student; and a fledgling, arm-chair evolutionary biologist. No need for stinky dead cats and a scalpel? Probably not, but this would have been an extra, highly useful tool. Now, as someone greatly interested in evolutionary biology and as an older dude trying to become an athlete, this app is just cool! Want to see how the neck muscles turn our heads, and locate where your crick is? Pull up the app and check out why there is an impingement and where it is and how turning your head is affecting it. Running got your foot in shambles? Well, look at the structure! There's a lot to go wrong...and right there is what's aching. Twist it, turn it, zoom it, flex it, remove it. This app is also great for those who want to see what an exercise may put your muscular structure through. Valuable for planning a full body workout that isn't based on a simple curl, bench or squat. My only complaints are: 1. Can't seem to find a way to center what I want to look at. 2. Navigation is a little blunt. Otherwise, the depth of info is fantastic, as are the graphics. A high 4 star!

SO GRATEFUL!!!. This app is the best thing around in years easily since 2016 I run a PT business and his has changed the way I do my work with soft tissue on my fitness clients and athletes

Wow I no paw want all their products. Wow

Great study tool. This app is breathtaking to look at, and has been groundbreaking for me in my studies. The 3D models really help to visualise the various layers of muscles and their actions. A couple of minor inaccuracies though... In strict anatomical terms: - The scapulae protract & retract, not abduct and adduct - Muscle actions relate to a segment, not a joint (e.g. flexion of the humerus, not the shoulder) Also, it'd be great to be able to nominate a custom view / model that the app opens with (rather than the arbitrary view of the head)

Awesome. Super helpful for uni

Great. Rest learning material, excellent....

Seems to have gone backwards. with the latest version. While it looks slick the ability to search is now only in the “Action’s” tab. Why? Browsing for muscles finds me trying to second guess which picture group the developers chose to show the muscle. Not always clear and less clear than before. And search does not work when the action control is visible. The control seems to disable other functions and must be exited. Search will bring up a muscle (for example) isolated from other body parts unless you have selected to see other body parts which sounds logical until you get sick of ‘rebuilding’ the body each time. It just seems less intuitive than previous versions. Still ‘good’ but was ‘great'

Ms. Great app. Showed it to my doctor and he got one too!

Great app. Really good app helping me with my massage diploma. Just wish they added more animations of movements as well as describe movements and also added synergists and antagonist of muscles

Your app would improve greatly with the following minor user experience additions. Please add the quick menu of show, fade and hide to your active movement and please add a 4th option in the quick menu of "go back" so that when I'm in either the active movement or frozen movement screen I can deconstruct the group or structure piece by piece and then click the "go back" option to effectively reconstruct the structure without leaving the image screen. If your app has this ability in the active movement screen then it would be 5stars, at the moment I have to leave the image screen to restore or restart the whole structure at the start of the process with no reconstruction. The fade option is not sufficient.

Halfway perfect. Great app for anyone wanting help with their anatomy studies. However, I am concerned that some major structures are omitted, such as the flexor retinaculum of the tarsal tunnel, and some descriptions are inaccurate, such as the origin/insertion of some pelvic ligaments. Extra options for the quizzes, such as pick the correct muscle from an origin/insertion description, would be very useful in helping memorisation.

Muscle. Fantastic, love it, the most helpful, most useful App that I have com across

Sort of expected more... I have the Visible Body - Atlas which is fantastic, and I bought this Muscle Premium because of the muscles in action function. But am disappointed as the muscle actions appear quite limited. Feel like I wasted $25 AUD, because it doesn't seem to offer much more than the Atlas one. I will explore about more to try to change my opinion..

be careful - retraction. This could be an expensive money trap. It continually crashes on my ipad mini 2 during initialising of the 3D model. Potentially an amazing app, I just wish it would work!!!! I retract my earlier criticism. Prompt tech support helped me sort the problem. I had too many background apps running. This programme requires a lot of RAM. But is highly worthwhile. I am very satisfied now. Excellent product.

Worth it!. Awesome Video's on how the muscles carry out their function , will help with study

What happened to this app?. I agree with Tigre. This app seems to have gone backwards. The previous version format which clearly divided, and showed specific muscle groups by function was far superior for my purposes. May we please have an option to download previous version? Update. The support team for these apps are brilliant. My feedback brought a prompt response and undertaking to address my issues with the next update. In the meantime they have provided me with access to the earlier version. Impressive.....

Dr. This is quite good. It shows movement but its confusing which muscles are doing the contracting. A colour variation coordinated with muscle contraction tone would be helpful

Full body view removed. I was previously a very frequent user of this app, and found it quite complete and easy to use both for review and patient education purposes. However, with recent updates, the developers have removed the option to view the full body at once and instead have broken it up into regions. In theory this seems like it would make navigation easier, but instead it leaves incomplete muscle regions and makes review very difficult and cumbersome. For example, if you want to demonstrate the relationship between the glutes and lower limb mechanics (which I do often as a physiotherapist), the glutes are not included in the "lower limb region" and this forces you to go into the pelvic section, where the lower limb musculature is excluded. The same goes for the exclusion of the rhomboids, trapezius, and levator scapulae muscles in the shoulder region view, all of which have important implications on shoulder mechanics and the benefit of being able to review these muscles as a unit/region is lost with this new division. Overall, while I was a big proponent of this app, these disappointing new updates have made it very cumbersome and unintuitive to use - almost more trouble than it is worth. It would be an easy fix, all they would need to do is return the full body view option to the main menu (which they had in previous versions). Unfortunately, unless these issues are addressed, I would recommend purchasing a different app with a full body view (as I will also sadly be forced to do).

Absolutely amazing and worth every dollar!!!. Absolutely amazing and worth every dollar!!!

Very impressive and useful apps but crashes very 10min or so. I use an iPad 2 with iOS 4.35 and installed the latest April 2013 version of this app. This apps is very useful in my study of functional anatomy but it crashes very 10 minutes of usage. Please resolve this with an update as soon as possible since it is very unproductive to have to re-boot the iPad every 10 minutes in the course of my study. Thank you so much in advance.

Videos close app. The Static visuals of the app is great but when I try to watch the videos it crashes the app......every time. I was quite excited to purchase the premium app because of the videos. Disappointed

Excellent app w/ a few things to improve on.. It is an amazing app that I have seen so far for MSK review. The only comparable one on PC IS Multifit but unfortunately no ipad version. It would be nicer though if a few things can be improved on: 1) muscles can be deselected. 2) transparency can be adjusted. 3) screen shot function can be available on all sections. 4) muscle name next to the pronunciation can be linked to the muscle page. However, overall this is the best muscle app I have seen.

Just perfect!. This application is perfect for learning the muscular groups required for all movement in every body articulations. Now that the learning is over I use it to show to my clients why they hurt where it hurts, as a registered massage therapist I recommend this application to everyone doing any type of physical therapy.

Muscle Premium from Visible Body. This app has proven invaluable to me for explaining how joints and muscles are used to apply joint locks and techniques to safely restrain our partners in the practice of martial arts.

Doesn't work. Won't launch. Crashes on initializing every time I open. Refund my $20 please!!

Awesome app. I'm a physiotherapy student and this app has helped me / will help me in a lot in my anatomy courses. I use it on my ipad mini when studying or showing patients images. Over all I would give it 4.25/5. I would like to see blood supply and the vascular system added. Also when getting the information for muscles, I would like the ability to add custom pins along with being able to attach notes to the custom pins for studying reasons. All in all it is a great app and I would recommend it to anyone in the medical field. For an average person, this may be too intensive.

Med Student. A great muscle anatomy app. Visualizing the muscles in three dimensions is very helpful in determining the function and position. You are able to hide muscles to reveal deeper compartments and read descriptions about selected items. I was worried that the app wouldn't have the bones labelled (as it is a muscle app and they could have another app for bones) but I was happy to find it did.

Excellent resource for artists. I'm studying drawing and painting with the live model and this app is great. Being able to turn the 3d model to the same view as the model helps to understand exactly what is going on under the skin. In a future update it would be great to be able to pose the 3d model in different realistic poses. I've had the app a coup,e of days and already feel that my knowledge of a smooth has grown extensively.

10stars. Can't recommend this enough. Simply, intuitive and makes the human body easier to understand. Can't imagine learning anatomy any other way. Thanks for making this available!!!

not sure why the apps disassemble to three parts apps. ,. not sure why the apps disassemble to three apps. ,

Good product!. I've been using this in my residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. It's been quite useful for origins and insertions of muscles. Also good for the relationships between muscles!

student. Great help to study from

Unparalled. An exquisite, immersive tool whereby the (remarkable) technology recedes into background noise as you open upon a field of learning. Visually, it's stunning. The highest recommendation.

Visible Body -- muscle premium. Mind blowing !! Works fantastic !! I sprained my rotator cuff. -- right shoulder --wanted to know more about it. Showed it to doctor, physiotherapist, and chiropractor -- they loved it, and intend to buy it! My chiropractor said he paid $1500. For a British program that is not nearly as good!

Amazing.. I honestly don't understand any gripes some people may have, I initially bought it for my personal training course but has also proven to be useful when my associates in the medical field reference different portions of the human body and how they may alter from illnesses; if you can afford it it is definitely worth it.

Even better than before!!. I am continually wowed by the team at Visible Body, this app looks amazing on the new ipad. Interms of look and feel, nothing compares. It's nice to know as technology continues to get better these guys are continuing to make their apps better and better. I am anxious to see what next on their list of medical apps to be released. Oh, yeh its also a exceptional learning tool. Again, great job. Thanks!!.

AMAZING!!!. I am training to be a fitness trainer and needed an app that would help me learn the muscles, attachments, and be able to watch the movements so I know what they are actually doing when I am working with my clients. This app gives me all of that and more. It is so detailed it is practically hands-on, and has made it so incredibly easy to learn the muscles. The best thing about it is that even when I am done with my education and am certified and ready to attack the real world, I can use this app to show my clients what their body is doing so they have a better understanding of the muscles we are working and why. Thanks so much for this amazing app!!

Crowded screen. Please make the related content videos collapsible. They take up about 1/3 of my iPhone screen and makes it hard to educate my patients. Otherwise really appreciate it. Future update: it would be awesome be able to manipulate the individual bones to see how poor posture stresses the neuromuscular system for my patients. For example: how an anterior tilt affects the muscles. Rather than videos. Just a freestanding person and I can add scapular depression while keeping the nerves viewable, etc. Just a poorly articulated thought. Utmost, please make the related content collapsible!!

Beautifully rendered and thorough. This is a hugely valuable tool for people in the medical community, and beautiful for the interested layman as well. It’s best used on more up-to-date iPhones and iPads, as my old iPod touch finds it a bit hard to handle at times, but that machine is ancient, so it’s no real reflection on this app’s quality. All around, this edition is fantastically made, and well worth the money.

Best Muscle App hands down. Getting any angle on any muscle, and being able to look at all muscle actions from any angle make this App truly special. Also learning origins, insertions this App is the amazing. I'm a huge fan of this company know that this is a universal app, it is a bargain!

Fantastic app. As an artist interested in learning anatomy, I was always frustrated by anatomy books because the range of views were limited to anterior, posterior, lateral and medial. With this app, I am better able to conceptualize the bones and muscles from any position. This is better than having a skeleton in many ways. Thank you for solving a problem that many artists can commiserate with. I believe I am finally in a position to learn and understand artistic anatomy, thanks to this app!

Fantastic!. This is the best muscle anatomy app! Finally I get to control the angles at which I view muscles, as well as which ones I can fade, etc. It's truly amazing and has helped me tremendously. I paid more for other apps, but this one is off the charts better. And with the update it now has animations, too. So happy to have this!

Definitely Recommend. As a third year orthopedic surgery resident, I interact with real-world anatomy on a daily basis. While the images in Visible Body 3D Muscle Premium 2 are admittedly simplistic, I think the functionality, especially the ease with which one can zoom, rotate, delete/fade and flip the images provides a great starting point to begin a more thorough understanding of an anatomical region. In planning surgical approaches and dissections, its helpful to have such a resource to add to my armamentarium. I would have no problem highly recommending the program. At $20, I believe that this app is definitely money well spent for anyone looking to further their understanding of human musculoskeletal anatomy.

Stellar. It couldn't be done much better than this. Buy it! Practicing geriatric PT for 15 years. This app rocks, especially for explaining issues to patients. Taking them inside the body for a lesson and movement demos. User Interface is a great balance of intuitive logic, power and ease. K

Great App - Scapula is way too small. Also, it would be great if there were different versions of the same figure but in different postures (for example, with the arm raised so we can better see the musculature of the armpit). Just a suggestion. Otherwise the app is fantastic.

Psy Student. I love this app. It's easy to read and view all of the different muscles and bones, each is labeled clearly. I love that you can just tap on a section and it allows you to zoom in or out. As well the video that plays once you select a certain are of the body. My favorite is how it's categorized, it makes it easy to find what your looking for. Wish it was available during undergrad. Im a graduate student and when I speak to clients about their body I look forward to using this a visual aid.

Great app. Recent update added lots of good functionality. Super easy to use and is generally better graphics/accuracy than other apps I have seen. Highly recommend for physical therapy students.

Wonderful in so many ways. I originally bought this app just out of sheer curiosity for the human muscular system and I was impressed even then, despite to my lack of terminology in the subject. Now I am currently studying for the ACE Personal Trainer exam which involves much anatomy so this is wonderful. I love being able to tap on any muscle or bone, then have to option to read more about it. It also moves the muscle so you get a visual as I'm learning of what it actually does, something no textbook could do. I am really impressed and I think this will benefit my goals and education massively. Thanks for providing it! I will be buying more apps from you guys! Keep up the good work!

Good for price!. I'm going to school for massage therapy and need to learn the muscles, origins/insertions, actions, etc. This app is making what was a frustrating and laborious process easy and fun. I'm giving it 4/5 instead of full marks because origin and insertion is difficult to understand in this app, and also because it's not 100% user-friendly. But still, I recommend it. It's s great tool for studying!

Great app. I use this app on a daily basis in conjunction with the visible body atlas to view other systems of the body. This app has everything you need. My personal fav is the ability to fade tissues so you can see through them and observe how movements are made. Best app purchase made thus far for anatomy. It beats pocket body hands down.

Great graphics. The graphics on this app are great and it runs very smoothly. It is really user friendly, the way it's organized. I love that I can manipulate and interact with the anatomy to get the angle I'm looking for and draw on it then capture a screen shot to email myself as a study guide. It's definitely worth the money!

Tremendously helpful. I've had this app for years, and I use it on my iPhone and iPad. It has always worked perfectly, I've never had a problem with it. I have a few anatomy apps, this is my favorite and most useful.

Cluttered Screen. The new features are nice but now the screen is to cluttered and busy. You can remedy this by using full screen, but then you have to toggle back and forth to use all of the options. To me this is a big step backwards in the UI. Please figure out a way to collapse "related content". It takes up a big portion of the screen and ruins the experience. I was pretty happy with this app for a long time but this seems like subtle in-app advertising.

INCREDIBLY GREAT!!. I ADORE it. I'm a massage therapist. I learned muscles from 2D books. This shows 3D so I have a clearer vision of thickness & shape. The fade & hide feature allows better learning of relationships to other muscles. But the #1 feature is movement. I can isolate the muscle & rotate the view as it moves. I spent a fortune on books to get multiple views. This program was inexpensive. VERY HAPPY!! Has never crashed for me either & it gets high use.

Awesome. As a student studying physical therapy this app was what helped me to understand muscle movement much more clear than the text books. Could be a tad more user-friendly but with a little bit of playing around, I was able to figure it out!

Extremely useful. I purchased this, and I am very contend with detail information. An each family must own this in their iPhone or iPad. I thank you very much for providing this fine art of pictorial information.

Strange organization. Muscles Premium has a clunky interface that may hide features I think it should have. It may be the iPad Pro port. It may be that Apple forces vendors to cripple apps. I don't know if the way Muscles Premium is how the medical community organizes the anatomy/muscles but if they do, no wonder there are so many bad diagnoses. The app does not organize muscles by location. Muscles located in the thigh cannot be isolated by compartment, only joint movement. I have the same problems with the Atlas and Skeleton Premium. My biggest complaint is the confusing numbers of apps we buy that overlap each other. Tech support mainly answers with yes or no to Help questions.

Incredible package. This type of program would normally cost hundreds of dollars but now I have this information at my fingertips wherever I go. I use it to show people actions and what muscles are involved as well as for my own personal study. Highly recommended.

Anatomy study/knowledge MUST HAVE. Absolutely amazing app! The ability to rotate, scale, hide (or dim) muscle groups to look beneath them, take and share images... well, read the description - it delivers!!! As a massage therapist it is amazingly easy to quickly identify muscles and bony landmarks with the help of this app - the 3-D makes ALL the difference - anatomy specifics can be tough to remember if you're not working in a clinical environment - not to mention all the gaps in knowledge this app fills in. Anyone who is needing to work (or study) the bony and muscular anatomy should have this app - it is easily worth its cost. You can't get this out of a book... and I challenge you to find any printed material with this much information cheaper! If you are still reading this... just buy the app already :) you won't regret it!

Very helpful. I have had major back surgery and have been very please with how the software has made it possible for me to be much more informed about the specifics of my surgery. I actually made screen grabs to aid in discussions with my doctor and he was very impressed with the use of the simple illustrations that aided in our discussion. I now have a much better understanding of what is going on with my body. I would recommend buying the basic "visible body" instead of this program for a good but more basic overall view of the internal workings of the human body. Both programs have been an aid to me in discussions with my doctors. No, I don't work for the creators of the applications but in my case I am glad that I own them.

Must have for kinesiology!. I am currently taking kinesiology, and I was not understanding what muscles did what motion, and trying to memorize it all was difficult. This app breaks it all down for you, making it really nice. It would also be nice if it could say who the antagonists are to each motion. And it would be nice to have some gravity eliminated positions, showing concentric v. Eccentric. But I still highly recommend this app to anybody in the health field, taking kinesiology especially.

Nerves at last! The best app out there hands down.. I use many different ways to educate my patients but this is the best one I have found. Thank you for adding the nerves and ligaments to this app there were the missing link!

Great resource. Fantastic program. Runs smooth on ipad 4. Very helpful to see these systems in 3d. I very highly recommend this. Only problems are absence of a recently viewed tab on the main screen. The app resets itself when you switch between concurrently running programs on ipad and it would be great to have a way to get right back to the body region I was working on. One more item this program needs to truly be muscle "premium" is the vascular system that supplies the muscles we are examining. Please please add in blood vessels. Thanks.

Worth the price if you are struggling to learn muscles.. I am in week 6 of a kinesiology class and have been struggling very hard to see the big picture. This app has been a great resource and really brings the muscles and movements to life with realistic 3D animation. Watching the muscles interact and seeing exactly how the fibers move as they contract is finally helping me see things clearly. I definitely recommend this app... It could be improved by showing more full body musculature movements, but overall I really like it.

Amazing Tool!. This is an amazing tool. Not just for my own reference. I have used this app many times to show my massage clients why they are having issues. I have also used it when teaching massage students. Needless to say I waived my no cell phones in class rule while they downloaded the app.

Great for dry needling practitioners. I am a physical therapist and i perform a technique called dry needling. It is a precise technique involving placing needles in certain muscles to reduce pain. This app is wonderful for me to see the surrounding anatomy of where I need to place my needle. Not only is this great for me to utilize for my own reference but also as a way of showing my patients the anatomy surrounding their dysfunctions.

Buy it now!. I use this almost every day in my PT clinic for reference and for teaching my patients. It is amazing! Patients are very impressed especially with the muscle actions. Extremely helpful and more realistic than simply looking at a picture. It makes more sense to them to see what and why we are working on specific areas.

Great help studying and for reference!. I am currently finishing my second quarter of school becoming a massage therapist. This app has been a great help to visualize certain attachment and origin sites, and see the muscles together or separately as needed. The only thing I would ask for is when you touch the blue or red for bony landmarks, it would tell you which one you're on, but a minor thing really! Thanks for this great app!

Amazing. This is the first app review I've ever written but I felt it necessary to spread the word on how great this program is. Well worth the money even before the update but now that we have animations it's unbeatable. Simply amazing for anyone in an anatomy centric field or study.

Excellent App. As a massage therapist and massage instructor, I am amazed as to how great this App is. It shows movement clearly and accurately. The added features just make it even better. I am hoping it adds the fascia. Movement involves tissues and not just muscles. But I highly recommend this App.

Really awesome!. The only complaint I have is that when I'd go to put an image on saved, it would close. There should be an easier way to save for flashcards and have those flashcards for quizzes. Hence the four instead of five stars. Just something to consider when updating. If you're able to do that, I'll revise my stars to five. This is an awesome anatomy app!

Super sleek and informative. This app is the best I've seen in the anatomy space. Everything seemed to work flawlessly, and it looks beautiful on an iPad. I would highly recommend this app to anyone learning about anatomy. Very helpful and easy to navigate.

Great But,. This is app is really incredible, and I would've given it 5 stars but it needs to be able to zoom and rotate on anything; not just the center of the picture. If your trying to learn it all; then you need to be able to easily zoom up on everything. Otherwise well worth $20.

Fantastic!. Update for version 2.0: first shipment of animated muscle actions arrived. Beautiful. Thank you. Please, add the motor nerves. And one star down for omitted innervation - we are studying and demonstrating neuro-muscoloskeletal system. Still, despite the lack of the innervations, the app is mind-blowing. A dream come true to anybody interested in musculoskeletal anatomy. When the nervous system is included, the app is a perfect five stars and a moon for the awe effect. I hope the next step in the evolution of this superb tool is to make the body movable and see the nerves and muscles involved in flexing, extending, abducting, adducting, and rotating around joints. Can't wait!

Ok but need improving. It's a pretty good app however the origins and insertions while demarcated are not defined... This is a big draw back. The other while seeing the action of the muscle is a great cudos for this app the difficulty in navigating makes one want to give up. There should be a button right from the muscle screen that animates. As it is now one has to do a many step process to get to it and once there can't get back with out navigating the whole app again. Frustrating. Fix these and you'll get five stars

Good app. Good app accurate for studying. Wish the origin insertion were easier accessed, when u click on the muscle it should give u an option to see origin and insertion. Also u can't center what your looking, only can zoom in and out, 360 in all directions, however if u zoom in to look at a muscle what's the point if the picture won't fit on the page and can't be centered

Informative and worth the $$. This app allows you to visualize exactly what is going on under your skin with every movement. It also allows you to easily focus in on particular points of interest in each activity clip. Very impressive!

Pleased. The thing I like most about the app are the quizzes. This is the way I learn best. To read the material and test my knowledge with questions. I would Like the app to have more quizzes and I way to - after answering, easily click on the reason why your answer is right or wrong - while remaining in the quiz.

Awesome Anatomy App. Having a truly 3-d model viewable from ANY angle makes this a great app for artists and those who need to know not only only a muscle's name and function but it's form! What a great value! Please add the following and I'll love you forever: ability to quiz on origin/insertion points, neutral grey/untextured model to see form with no distractions. Also some mild anti-aliasing that you can turn on or off would be cool for us iPad 2 users. Thanks for creating such an amazing and competitive app!

Best Musculosketal app ever!!!. I love this app so much I can't even explain. I'm taking a graduate musculoskeletal anatomy cadaver class and was having a very difficult time understanding origins, insertions, and actions. This app is exactly what I needed to help me visualize the movements if the muscles and see everything in 3D. It's a little pricey... But I would spend $100 to have it, honestly. This app has saved me hours of frustration and time in the cadaver lab!!!! THANK YOU

Rating. I have a few anatomy apps on my iPad that I use and Visible Body is one of my two, if not the favorite. The navigation is just bit difficult. However, the presentation and information are well worth the effort.

This app is everything!! Buy the bundle.. This app is everything!!! I love it and because of it I have an A+ in my class, my professor loved the app so much when she found it a few years ago, talked the Dean of my college into incorporating it in the Biology and Health Department for regular use and making it available on the iPad that the students can rent out on campus! From there I added it to my personal iPad and I see myself using it for forever. Buy the bundle and learn it all. :)

Gets the job done...and then some!. If there is a reason for losing sleep, this app is responsible. This is the real deal! As a physician, I have practiced medicine for thirty years, and am still amazed at the grandeur of the human body. This app vindicates my appreciation. The graphics, ease of use, and flexibility of interfaces take what separate drawings would have required a textbook to illustrate, and reduce it to one on-screen image. I could say that it aids me in explaining medical issues to patients (and it does). But to be honest, the constant learning that this app stimulates is the real joy for its use. The user directs the speed and versatility of learning, unhampered by programmed recordings whose pace can be dolefully slow. It is obvious that this app was designed by a team of professionals whose expertise in each arena has been carefully crafted to provide the information you need, when you need it, in a manner and speed you direct. Awesome!!
