Keeps my notified if I forget to put in my food intake. I have seen result because I am more conscious calories. It can be alittle annoying when I keep getting notification but in a good way that makes me want to put in the info so it can stop. I have found more of my food just by scanning the barcode. Super easy to use.
I love this app! I've been using it for years. I love it's clean and simple look, and it's easy to use. I just wish it could sync with my Fitbit stuff!
I have been using MyPlate since before it was obtained by LiveStrong. It has some wonderful features: the fact that it syncs with my Apple Watch and the calories that I burned get automatically imported is fantastic. I really like the ability to scan a barcode to find foods that are hard to find. I like that it shows me in any given day what percentage of my calories are coming from fat, carbs, or protein. The app is a little bit limited in that you can only choose certain fractions of a serving (1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4). For things like recipes it's helpful to be able to use decimals (like when the cookie I'm eating has 8% of an egg in it), but I found that if I need to do that I can do it on the website, and it's rare that I find it necessary. I also really like that I can track my body measurements and stats going back to when I very first started, which for me was nine years ago. One of the drawbacks is that I can't put in a calorie goal less than 1200 calories a day, even if it's a net calorie goal (after exercise I mean). I'm right on the cusp of that now so it will get more annoying as I lose more weight I think. I think 1200 is an unrealistically high number for those of us who have dieted our entire lives and have (unfortunately) very efficient bodies. I can always do the math myself, but then what's the point of having an app, right? Overall, though, the MyPlate app is a crucial tool and the foundation of my weight loss efforts. Granted I haven't tried many others, but this is effective and would definitely recommend it to other people.
Love the barcode feature!
I would suggest an alarm for snack as well or make it so we can add more alarms to be reminded to eat. I have to eat 5 times a day to gain the weight I want. Other than that I LOVE THE APP! Downloaded it about an hour ago.

I like that I am able to scan items in and then to my daily calorie intake.

Efficient and accurate
I like this app because of the clean interface, large food database and customizable macros. Other apps link to exercise apps (this eliminating the need for manual input) however I don't mind manually entering exercise. I leave the exercise apps for what they are good at - recording exercise- and leave this app to what it does well - calories, macros and nutrition.
Just started using this app and I already love it. I really like that I can scan the barcode's of the food products I'm consuming.
Easy to use
I have used this app for at least two years. It is an easy and accurate way to keep track of calories. I have another year using this app. I have tried several others but this was the best.
It is easy to use and connects to all my stuff
I prefer this app over the others because it gives me a graph of the overall view of my day. Calories, carbs, protein, and fat whereas most other apps only give you the calorie intake. This app is linked to other apps on my phone to show calories burned vs calorie intake. This makes it much easier for people like me who are trying to limit my carb intake. And it has a lot of foods in its data base to give a more accurate calorie count.

After using this app for two years it is suddenly asking me to log in. Why? It is aggravating
I am extremely unhappy that after 3+ years of using this app I suddenly have to input my birthdate and information and a username to create yet another account just to use the app. I am more than capable of determining my own dietary needs and just want this app to track calories and exercise. I don't need your help to tell me what to eat. Especially since you're taking money from food companies--I'm sure that doesn't factor into anything. I was perfectly happy with this app until I had to go thru and create an account and profile just to use an app I was happily using for the last 3 years. The only reason I went through the process was to leave this review. I'll be finding something else.
I just installed this app today, so far I'm loving it. Will come back to update after further use.
