Good app, sometimes bad calculations. Moovit works great in general, but for public transit in Israel it made bad calculations for multibus trips for me. For example, I am at A and trying to go to B by public transit. Moovit tells me to walk 9 minutes to a bus stop, take bus 1 to a different stop, then take bus 2 to my destination. The problem is, bus 1 leaves in 6 minutes, and the next one won’t get me to the stop for bus 2 until after bus 2 has left, leaving me stranded at the bus 2 stop, especially when bus 2 comes only once an hour. I have to check Moovit’s math anytime I want to use it to ensure that the timing works out, and it often doesn’t. I don’t how that happens and it is quite frustrating and I have missed meetings over it. EDIT: Update to four stars for high quality and prompt customer service to help fix the problem.

Great App, but still has issues. Moovit incorporated much more aggressive advertising this year that briefly delayed transit directions before re-designing ad popups to obstruct content less with banners near the bottom of the screen. I’m adding a star back for fixing that irritating issue, but there are still some bugs that the developer team must fix: 1. Bus routes are too optimistic for traffic conditions around Tel Aviv. For example, I missed two connecting busses because the first bus was a minute late to a scheduled stop—a regular occurrence for which the algorithm needs to account. 2. Sometimes the app seems to crash or lose track of your trip mid-travel. Related, if you calculate a trip, then leave 4-5 min later, then nothing is automatically recalculated to ensure you have sufficient time to reach the departure station. So you have to manually end the current trip, back out several screens, then re-enter the destination and re-calculate fresh transit options. 3. Notifications and/or GPS tracking continues to be a bit buggy. Busses often arrive multiple minutes early or late with little or no warning/notifications. And the GPS seems to lag behind your actual position with the compass (direction you are facing) also being inaccurate at times. This review is based upon the current app version in late June 2022 using an iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 Pro.

Started Off Strong, Now Aggressively Ad-Ridden and Unreliable. Moovit initially impressed me with its intuitive interface and accurate transportation information. However, my experience took a nosedive due to the app’s aggressive ad strategy. It has become incredibly intrusive, serving back-to-back ads just as you’re figuring out which train to catch. The timing of these ads is critical and has caused me to miss trains on multiple occasions. This isn’t just an annoyance; it fundamentally undermines the app’s purpose, which is to facilitate smooth public transportation. For a time-sensitive function like transit planning, the user interface should be as frictionless as possible. Moovit fails to deliver on this aspect, pushing me to uninstall the app. I’m switching to CityMapper, which, while not as good functionally, at least allows uninterrupted access to essential information when you need it the most.

Felt like a tourist !$$$. I haven’t had to use the local transportation system in a minute but I had to this time and a lot of miracles happen because I did !$$$ so for one I’m thankful to even have this kind of service available to the public !$$$ I met a wonderful woman who would then introduce me to my Soul Mate !$$$ guess I was wrong when I said “ it only happens in the movies “ !$$$ and I also took the wrong number bus with no money left and had to turn back so I got two returned passes !$$$ only took longer because I messed up !$$$ if you use the App “Moovit” it becomes impossible to get lost and is all practically free !$$$ also it was mostly empty after 6 pm so it was confortable Bus route !$$$ over all I give this experience a 5/5 !$$$ have a great rest of your time on earth !$$$

Costa Rica. I recently moved to Costa Rica and found that the public transportation system is amazing however trying to find out where each bus goes can and is a nightmare. The reason being is that there r multiple bus companies all with their own bus stations. So if u want to travel from San Jose to limón or from San Jose to Alajuela the bus stations can be miles apart even though they travel in the same direction. I have been using Moovit since march of last year and it’s NEVER steered me wrong. I recommend this app to everyone that asks about the bus system on all of my Costa Rica Facebook groups. Thank you so much for this very useful app! Maybe I could get some referral bonuses for all the referring I do ;)

Super necessary but with some setbacks. Moovit is an impressive app that is super necessary for me as a public transport user in Israel. However, there are a few improvements that need to be made. First of all, the ad pop ups are very disturbing, sometimes so much so that they make me reboot the app in order to follow the directions. The pop ups that don’t let you click away from them quickly and take up the whole screen cause me sometimes to miss a stop. Very frustrating. Another issue as well is sometime the app will not show me favorable options unless I prompt it to. It feels like you have to know the available routes to get the most accurate update. Would appreciate if the app would show as many routes as possible as opposed to just top 3 or 4 Thank you and hope you take this feedback into consideration

UX/UI needs updating. The user interface (UI) is pretty congested. In looking for something simple like what time a bus or train leaves from a specific stop, it’s pretty hard to find this information without having to look through a lot of other content/design. Something like transportation departure and arrival times should be pretty prominent/easy to find. Also, in the settings, it says Moovit’s language will mirror my phone settings. My phone is set to English and the language in the app is appearing in Spanish, which makes it impossible to understand when a train/bus schedule is modified. Please update the UX so that the language actually mirrors our phones as promised OR add a feature that allows users to manually change our language directly in the app.

Saved me so much time and effort.. I recently moved to a location where it would be a 20min walk to the subway. Siri maps transit option DOES NOT DO WHAT THIS APP DOES. WHICH IS SAVE YOU TIME FOR YOUR COMMUTE. Jeez I can finally sleep in a little longer. A friend recommended this app because I told her my struggle of my commute. I downloaded this app and it gave me so many options for my morning commute. I was able to find an express bus close by because of this app. So it cut my commute time in half! I love how it gives me two options of when my bus is coming. Just in case I miss the first one, I have some relief because I know when the next one is. I wish everyone had this app if you’re a morning commuter. You might just save your self some time!

Must have for The City. I frequently roam NYC and this app is absolutely amazing... No fuss, no worry, it’s extremely efficient, reliable and **thorough**. This is amazing for someone who is planning a trip to NYC. Whether you need help getting around, or use it as a back up like myself, it never fails and you will not get lost or overwhelmed within the concrete jungle. MOOVIT navigates you to the *exact* location of the desired subway entrance (even has the price listed for NYer newbies) and gives names of the exact line. It’ll never put you on an express when you need a local, you’re always in good hands. I’ve haven’t had an issue with this app to date, only positives. I have not used this app for bus transportation but will in the future and assume things will be just as seamless.

It’s Like Waze But For Public Transport. 1) You type your destination and it Moovit gives you several ways to get to your destination from fastest time to longest time frame! 2) I love that when you choose your preferred route, the Moovit app rides along with you from stop to stop and lets you know your stop to get off is coming so it tells you to get ready! It reads off each street stop as you’re riding along the bus or trains! 3) Moovit app lets you know how long it takes for each destination and even gives you time frame from one transfer to to the next. For ex: lf I have to go to North Beach District begin Outer Mission, Moovit will tell me how many minutes it takes from Bart Train ride (10min), then get off downtown to transfer to Muni bus 30 Stockton (15min) and each ride reads the street names so you won’t get lost! Thank you Moovit for being so precise! I never get lost!

Too busy; key info missing. I got a very high recommendation for this app from a fellow commuter. Plus it had ‘real time’ information on the conveyance I going to use. But unfortunately I find the app lacking or actually too bloated in many ways. First there are too many boisterous ads. I purchased the so-called ad free option but it never seemed to take I am still getting ads that are very annoying. I have more than one device tied to my Apple ID. Does this allow me to have the ad free versions on all those devices? Second why do I still see promotions for ad free version if I already purchased. Third I turned off ‘Ride Share’ in my preferences but I see Uber as my top option. I do not use and never will use Uber. Fourth and final why doesn’t the app have a link for schedules for a bus train etc? I should be able to hit a bus, train or trolley that is part of my proposed itinerary and see a schedule so I can plan alternative times.

Old Moovit. This app is great and super helpful in getting me around for my job I travel all around the city by bus and this really helps by typing in the address and getting shown different bus routes when to get on and what direction to go , this app is GREATT for getting you around no doubt about that and you can buy passes on it , I never did but it’s nice little feature as well BUT as with anything it has some faults it has too many ads , if your listening to music god it’s so annoying when you check on the app and a loud music pausing ad ear blast you, and they come every 5 minutes like clock work and sometimes I can’t see my scedhule because of these ads !! I don’t care about ads make your money fine but stop making it so much the app can’t be used or it’s slow down because of the ads and LEAVE MY MUSIC ALONE. The app tends to freeze a lot more then you like which is very annoying to have to close and reopen the app and sometimes on Sunday it get the scedhule mixed up because it doesn’t understand buses schedules on Sunday until it’s actually Sunday and that some buses don’t even come that day! Otherwise tho it’s a good app useful

I love this app, however…. This app is convenient for me as I usually travel by transit these days. I recommend this app to anyone hoping to check bus times quick and save your most used bus time schedules. However my only request is that you make this app more easier to understand. I feel like it is so confusing finding when a bus leaves and departs. I wish I could look up a bus and it shows me the day’s arrival and departure schedule. It requires too much looking around and searching to find what you are looking for. I want more specific information about busses and it to be easily and intuitively accessible. If this problem was addressed then to me this app would be 10/5 stars.

Good resource but cross reference with google maps. Some really unfortunate fails-WARNING it will sometimes tell you to get off a bus and wait for another one which is going to the same place. Hard to see that ever being a good idea, but certainly not in my city, MV Uruguay. Also there is no other obvious way to give feedback other than review, so they are asking for bad reviews. Ads where you have to wait 5 secs are annoying when you are figuring out if u should get on a certain bus or not... i guess i could upgrade. Still the app has a very good collection of hard to find bus schedule info and if you combine with google maps and figure out how to spot trash suggestions, it definitely a good app to have.

Move it Is a Must!. I live in Denver, CO & am currently sans automobile. After a summer of spending too much money on ride shares & rentals, my bank account necessitated a different strategy. Despite living in Denver for 10 years with increased public transportation options throughout the years, I had always been hesitant to give them a real opportunity. Having moved from Chicago & utilizing the El, Metro Train & truly great a bus system, I was a non-believer in Denver’s RTD. Fast-forward to a job opportunity requiring a commute. A quick search through the App store led me to Move it & I haven’t looked back since. It’s user-friendly (I’m Gen X) & most of all reliable. Now I just need to figure out how to download the bus pass to my phone!

Good and helpful app. Update: 6-5: most of the issues I described are from me not understanding how to use the app. GPS still lags, but have a little patients and the route always updates. Great app. I have been using this app for a week. I am visiting family in Hawaii(Oahu). I would be lost without the help of this app. The minor things I have experienced with the app is the gps seems to lag. When I set my destination, as I begin to walk I didn’t see the icon move in the app. Until a few minutes later, also when I begin my trip I read what it says, but at times it is not clear which way to go. Another thing I noticed, when the app tells you what bus to catch, it may give you multiple bus numbers. When I catch one of the bus, the bus number does not match. When the bus moves, the icon does not move, until a few moments later. Then the app seems to catch up and it begins to show the route and the location of where you at as you progress along your trip. It should give and option to select what bus you are on. I am still learning how to use this. I guess I said all that to stay this. When you set your destination, it should lock in your destination choice. I have of habit of planning other destination along my route, my original destination seems to get lost and I struggle to find my original route I planned. You can use Google maps to do the same as this app, but Moove it does it way better. If traveling, I highly recommend this app.

Makes life with public transportation a dream!. When I got totally fed up with traffic and parking in Jerusalem I decided to try public transportation. After missing the bus several times because it arrived (and departed) earlier than scheduled, I decided to give moovit a try. At first I only used it to take the bus from my rural community to the city. On days I had to get around to several places in the city I still took my car. Sine realizing the convenience of knowing exactly how to take buses correctly and efficiently in the city, I never take my car anymore. I save aggravation and money and get to feel that I’m part of the solution instead of the problem. I use it now all over the world.

London - amazing, Newark DE - zero. This app was a total game changer for getting around London. Before this app, I only used the tube system, the buses were too confusing. The app changed all that! Loved being able to set preferences for transit type, finding handicap accessible stations for a friend, knowing live where buses were at so I would know when to run to the stop and clear directions for walking. It is a must-have and worth paying for ad-free. But it seems to be missing the entire city of Newark Delaware, home to 20,000 students. The app does not give error messages, it confidently sends you to locations 15 miles from where you want to go. So it is 5 stars in London, Zero stars in Delaware.

Great for the most part but not completely dependable. Twice now, once going to work, and once coming from work, the bus didn’t arrive. Had to use ride share service instead or else I’d have been late or have to wait one hour for next bus. Today schedule said arrival of 3:19, didn’t arrive until 3:27, but there was no warning of delay and the live showed no bus coming at all Thank you. Update: this is the third bus I’ve missed. This one was three minutes early! I ran to catch it and am now sweaty for no reason. Losing major faith in this app Update: 12/9 Los Angeles metro is updating bus service apparently, however the usual lines are still running. Moovit is not displaying any of the usual routes AT ALL and instead is giving me routes that include greyhound bus walking 30 minutes to a bus to be on the lines for two minutes. It is so terrible and not helpful at all. Thank God for Google Maps and other transportation apps because it would take me three hours to get to my destination, if I followed the Moovit app. Terrible

Intrusive pop up ads every second. Moovit worked fine for what it was before they decided to integrate pop-ups. Now I do understand the need to monetize your app and pay developers, and I have nothing against ads at all (Google and Waze have ads all over their maps). But these pop ups are obnoxious, intrusive and take up valuable time when you are quickly trying to check a route or bus. And it’s not just one per trip, it’s like every third thing you click triggers an ad. It’s a huge inconvenience when when you’re pressed for time. It’s gotten to the point where I’m using Google more than Moovit, even though Moovit’s times are better. At least Google doesn’t shove video ads in my face when I’m running late to the bus. Moovit, fix your profit model. Pop-up ads are not the solution. At the bare minimum, tweak the ads so they don’t interrupt user experience.

Great app if you can deal with ads. I’ve had this app for almost a year now and they just started putting ads into the app heavily. I mean nobody likes ads of course and they’re annoying to deal with but when you’re standing outside afraid to miss your bus trying to figure out where to go or if your phone is on 5% and you’re figuring out what bus comes next before it dies and then an ad pops up in your face. It’s extremely frustrating and sometimes stressful to deal with. I understand this app doesn’t really have a choice considering they aren’t earning money any other way that’s why I kept the app and tried dealing with it but I wish they did it in a better way or come up with a better way to show ads because this is honestly ridiculous and I’m starting to hate the app. I used to recommend this app constantly to all my friends and family because we all took public transportation for school or for work but now I want to delete it myself honestly.

My most used app as a NY/NJ college student. Moovit is the best and most reliable public transportation app I’ve ever used. I found lots of other apps to be confusing or not efficient for what I needed and honestly there’s too much good to write about to fit it all. They have directions for anything from buses to ferries, it’s all customizable for your needs such as less walking or best route or least transfers(my personal favorite). Also the live schedules where you can see how soon the bus or e.t.c. is arriving in real time is very useful. Despite this feature being available in many apps moovit is the most accurate I’ve found. I’ve used this app for about 3 years now and I can’t imagine using anything else. All that being said, just like any app there are occasional glitches and public transportation is always a learning experience no matter how good the app is. But all in all this app is very user friendly, efficient and a must have for any commuter anywhere.

Too many ads with the new update. I have been using this app for about two years and it has been working great (especially during the time when there were no ads). The update a few months ago added pop-up ads which was quite annoying at times but is tolerable. The latest update with video ads, however, was so inconvenient for users since you have to wait for a few seconds before closing the ads. This is not some game apps where people are willing to sit through the whole ads just to get some bonus. To developers, please remember that people only click on this app to get to somewhere they want to be. We only use this for a few minutes per day and would not worth our time looking at all the video ads in this app when there are other options that works similarly (some with even better ui) but without ads.

Commute Easily. MOOVIT gives a Lot More than just a route schedule to your next destination. It also gives a choice of “leave now”; “leave at your choice of time”; a choice of: “Arrive at your desired time”. MOOOVIT also shows on screen progression of your bus; alerts you when the bus gets close to your destination; keeps a location you have traveled to before so you don’t have to repeatedly enter the same information. Other features I ReallY like is the awe and speed of finding my route and bus route number, street names and road numbers and major highways//freeways are shown in the Carta MOOVIT app. To comprehend all the features and ease of and speed of access you need to download the Free app, use it and see for yourself what I mean. Perfect? No; but immensely better than the paper booklet. Try it; you’ll like it🤗

Impressive Moovit App. This app fills a much-needed niche that was lost when the APT (Association for Public Transportation) Car-Free Books quit being published. Bravo! This is a relatively thorough and comprehensive guide with most of the local transit authorities having coverage. Being able to pick out favorites is a good thing. Missing are local transit networks in western MA like the PVTA (Pioneer Valley Transit Authority) which serves greater Springfield and the Pioneer Valley near the Connecticutt River. There may be other such local transit authorities near Pittsfield MA or in the far western MA areas to get to summer arts and music events that might be included as well. It might also perform better in dark mode on iOS devices on the mapping. Map details disappear in dark mode at present. In the Lines domain, it might be helpful to indicate major places like Supermarkets, Malls, or Stadiums in parentheses next to the listed stops and cross streets. It might also be useful to make a link next to the transit stop icons that lights up the corresponding verbal listing and vice versa when selected on the map. These are minor set-backs which are easily fixed by the addition of pertinent information and a bit of tweaking by your webmaster/webmistress.

Ms always on the move. I travel every day every min. I go from NJ to NY to queens and back to Nj. I go from up town to down town to cross town to back to NJ . I always use this app. It’s helpful and it saves me a lot of time from waiting a long time for buses and trains. I get off extremely late and hate to be out side waiting and waiting for a bus that might not show up . ((Hint hint B24)) when this happened to me the first time and it was freezing , I decided to download this app. I hate to move with the future but if it helps me from freezing out there then I have to do what’s best for my body. It’s also a safe and faster way. Safer why? I don’t have to walk those 20 mins in a dark st and all alone and I get home a lot faster. TBIS app has helped me in so many ways . I get home a lot faster it tells you what to connect with what and when it’s coming. Tells u from when u start till u get home. I love it because. I have learned a lot of other ways to get to. Where I have to go . Thank u so much .

Best. I have honestly not tried any other apps like this. But I don’t believe I will need to. In my opinion, I believe New York is one of the busiest and most confusing places to ever travel and use transportation in. I’ve use this app my entire trip and it has helped me tremendously. I am more comfortable going out because I know that I can get to and from without getting lost. I would say if you have a hard time paying attention to detail this app may be confusing. In New York different subways are named the same but they are in fact not all the same so with this app you have to make sure you enter and exit the exact place that it tells you or you will end up not in the right spot. But once you’ve successfully use this App once you’ll be able toUse the subways and metro buses like a pro. even if you into the wrong subway entrance it gives you what stop to look for and in the subways it tells you what stops are coming up so you know that if it doesn’t match then you’re in the wrong spot. I definitely would recommend this app

It’s the “For Dummy’s “. App to travel -. This app is really a great way for me to get just about anywhere. I’m not so much an organized Person & I’m fairly easily overwhelmed with maps & apps ,I’d get frustrated & would take forever & I still wasn’t able to figure out which buses & what times & id bother my Kids to figure it out & put it in plain & easy this bus here & when & so on - thankfully my daughter downloaded this app for me & she as even surprised how fast I figured it out lol. It’s absolutely perfect, it’s easy to use & just fill in where yah wanna go ( it even knows where you are already !) & it navigates you thru all your options like trains & walking , buses & even Uber & puts them all in one spot . Now I just choose what’s best for me ( it tells you the estimated times of each option). & walks you thru the trip , step by step ,from beginning to end . It’s a lifesaver to me & I can travel now & go wherever I wanna go . Thanks ! Sorry for the essay !

Becomes useless with time. I really found this app useful during the first couple of months of use in several different cities (but not all because it's really useless in some cities). I read reviews that the ads were a problem but it didn't match my experience. Now however it does match my experience. Ads have now become so bad that I have missed connections and had to abandon trips. The problem is that they hired how to dismiss the ad in such a way that it becomes very hard to dismiss and then when you accidentally activate the ad you lose your trip. It forced me to stop using the app. This is really a shame because I feel it is a well-designed app. I considered subscribing but the price is just too high and amazingly the instructions for how to subscribe didn't work within the app!

Pretty helpful, after a rough start. I first came across the app and used it while traveling in Nice, France. Looking for directions to Monaco for a day trip, based on some bus line info provided in a guide book. I used Moovit to get the specifics for the connection from the tram to the bus, but Moovit’s map location of where to pick up the bus was WAY off. After wandering around for 15 mins, and missing one bus as it drove past Moovit’s location in the middle lane, I found the actual stop across 2 streets and around 2 corners - not even within sight of Moovit’s pickup location. Bus line #100 info needs to be updated. However, after that, when double checking what I now knew about Nice’s tram lines, other search results seemed to be accurate. I think I’ll keep the app as a double-check option in the US.

Could use improvement but overall pretty great. I really enjoy using this app. The only thing I would say is 1. HELLA ads , that’s annoying. Lol 2. It doesn’t update you on if the bus is running late like the Apple Maps would and that’s pretty essential being in a big city and all the changes happening at the last minute 3. Location tracking is kind of trash, I needed to track my location backwards at a point and it wasn’t much help. Other than that it’s really great, I enjoy that the app speaks when it’s time to get on or off the bus. I enjoy that it has many more route options available than Apple Maps would. I like that there’s a countdown timer for when bus routes are scheduled to pass stops.

Drop from Glory. This app used to be great. A few changes have occurred the last few months that have made it extremely frustrating. Before, I could load previous trips from the home screen. This meant not only the two locations I was traveling between, but the time at which I had searched for the trip. This was extremely useful because if the app closed, I could reload the trip at the push of a button, and know exactly where I was on the route and when I needed to get off. The second thing that changed is that the app crashes very frequently in the background. When I’m traveling and have to reload the route, I now have to wait until I get on a stop so that the app can show me the bus I’m currently on. This can get extremely frustrating when I’m traveling on routes I’m not used to. In addition, when I have Live Directions set, the app still crashes in the background! I just had it happen and that got me to write this review. It’s so frustrating that the app crashes a lot and I can’t reload entire trips from the home page. Just adding that one functionality back into the app would make a huge change in performance and usability of the app. Can the developers explain why they got rid of it?

Good but the “no service” ui is not user friendly. Much more reliable than google maps or anything else I know, but I REALLY wished that the ui for when busses are cancelled was more user friendly. Especially when a lot of busses are cancelled, it’s incredibly difficult (if even possible) for someone to know whether the bus that you’re planning to get on is cancelled or not. I’ve had it several times where the bus showed up on “potential routes” but it was cancelled. And its again, hard to know, because it will show the cancelled symbol if there was one cancelled bus on that route, not if THAT bus itself was cancelled. If you do your research im sure you can figure it out since the “no service” symbol comes with a list of busses and their times, but its hard to tell which ones specifically because of the fact those times arent in line with the arrival time the bus is supposed to come; and since the bus still pops up as a potential route anyway. So, its a very good app, but I cant tell of any good way of understanding which bus times will be cancelled for a specific route.

Best Transit App Ever. This app continues to astound me with its realtime updates and thorough coverage of my city. I downloaded it one day when I had walked a long ways from the bus stop I had gotten off at, and wondered if there were a better way home than walking back. The app used my location to detect a bus stop two blocks from where I was standing and told me the bus line number and that it was due to arrive in a few minutes and then every 17 minutes. It even showed me the current progress along its route of the bus arriving in a few minutes. Moovit is thorough, and well designed and integrated. I have nothing but positive for this terrific app. It even automatically switched to the Chicago maps and lines when I flew into Chicago O’Hare.

Use this app if you like getting screwed over. I live in Israel. This app has screwed me and my friends over too many times. It will tell you a bus is coming at a certain time and then it just never shows up. Then, you look for another route and it tells you that the exact same bus is coming in 10 minutes instead- which it doesn’t. Today I had to walk 2 km to get to another stop because it was the only available route after I wasted 15 minutes waiting for a bus that never came. After I got off that bus I had a connection bus to take me to my final destination, but surprisingly enough that bus also never came. I ended up getting to my destination a few hours late due to factors that were not even in my control. I do have to give this app some credit because it works most of the time, but I can’t even remember how many times it screwed me over.

What NYC and surrounding areas need. It does what it says: finds the fastest, easiest, or laziest route to your destination by cross-referencing differing forms of Public Transportation (which you can filter) and then synchronizing them to achieve an optimal route. It’s like Waze or Google Maps but for ALL forms of Public Transportation. Most detailed and informed app I’ve come across for PT riders. This is like Google Map’s PT options, but far superior in scope and function. COMPLAINT: One thing I can’t seem to figure out is how the step-by-step preview works. Like if I get a route that’s showing 1:20, 1:35; and 1:50 as viable boarding times for the 40-Bus line, and I choose the 1:50 time, will the train I’m taking the 40-Bus to still arrive around the same time it did for the 1:20 bus? I haven’t found a way to specify/edit certain time schedules to my own schedule. TL;DR the app is top of its class, but User Interface could be more intuitive and less bloated.

Arrival times are always wrong.. This app is wonderful for showing me how to get anywhere. I moved to Israel from the US and regardless of my horrible Hebrew skills, I can travel anywhere comfortably using this app. The huge drawback is arrival times of busses and the stated end-of-trip arrival times. When waiting for a bus, often a green real time indicator will show a bus is arriving in X minutes. But I find I need to add about 2 extra minutes to that number in the end. Or it will say the bus is arriving in 1 minute, but that displays for 4 minutes. I have been late to almost every single meeting I have planned using this app. To the point of where I now know I have to add 30-75 extra minutes to Moovit’s estimated arrival time. One time I was 2 hours late to a meeting 18 km away because Moovit gave me a trip plan where the buses never showed up! No holiday, no road construction, no Shabbat, just a regular day.

I love it… but the ads…. I’ve used this when it first came out years ago. I left it because it was clearly still developing and didn’t quite fit my needs but I saw it could be something. Fast forward a few years and I’m back and it everything I expected it to become. Until the ads hit. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against monetizing the app, it at the point where it’s worth it’s weight in coin. But the ads are aggressive - when you are deciding between two transit options and minutes count, a full length ad that won’t go away for nearly a minute is a liability. Give me the option to opt out of the ad, I’d gladly pay a few bucks for the app - it’s proven itself. But being forced to deal with these invasive pop ups was the beginning of the end for my former go-to app. I really like Moovit.. please don’t make me have to moov on…

Very helpful for a novice public transport user. A new friend and of mine in Turkey told me about this App and I’m grateful. I’m newer to using public transportation and I really like how I can use the Map feature to determine the name of the stops/stations near me. Putting in my route, saving places, and adding favorite lines is handy for quick searches again in the future. I also really appreciate the notifications I get after I “start” a route. The App tells me when I’m 2 stops and 1 stop away from where I need to get off. It’s definitely helped me gain confidence when traveling new cities. I’d like to remove the Ads for a flare rate. At this time they only offer monthly or annual options which I’m not interested in a reoccurring fee. I hope they consider a flat rate upgrade offer in the future.

Great app. I’ve always found this app pretty reliable. Sometimes the timing can be off by a few minutes, so even if you think you missed your bus, wait another 3-5 minutes if you have time to spare. Likewise if you’re trying to make a run for a bus that’s “arriving soon”, there a chance you might’ve missed it already. There has been days where service would be down because of maintenance or something else for buses/train lines. I wish there was an option for users to submit that in and have other users to confirm for a faster update on routes. I’m not sure if there has been an update on it, but the last time I looked through report options, I didn’t see a “down for maintenance” in the selection

Made LA Easy. I sold my car about 4 months ago and decided to give LA Public Transit a try. It took me a bit to get acquainted with the properly, but once I figured out how everything worked it was truly a life saver. So far, the app has been incredibly accurate with regard to their real-time bus arrivals. It also does well with connecting you to other types of public transportation and has been pretty accurate with real-time predictions of the Metro trains. Their customer service is also great. I have email them a few times with questions or suggestions and they’ve always gotten back to me within the day. My first wish is to be able to customize your route so that you don’t have to use the suggested ones or if there is an area you’d like to avoid when traveling. My second wish is that you could plan ahead. Once you hit play, it will begin navigating you. It would great to have a function where you could set the app to being navigating for a future date and it remind you to leave. Similar to what you can do with Waze.

Moving around with Moovit by your side.. I have been using moovit for this last year and found it to be a rather remarkable app, that replaced the best alternatives to it in the form of the Transit app. As in addition to the shortcomings off the app, in its offline modes, when connected it’s such a wonderful program for live travel info in one easy to use platform. I got stuck for what bus to catch, as the signage wasn’t clear and Google maps and Siri kept making bad suggestion, like take a bus going the wrong way and the journey will take 23 hours. But Moovit, showed me not only the local bust stops location, but in their search feature, it was very helpful to not only find a bus when I was struggling to walk and breath, as it transpired I had blood-clots in my chest, it wasn’t too far away and I not only got the correct train, but in time to catch the later train to get home :0) So yes I recommend it. The offline mode would be helpful if it had the ability to download a areas maps, so my data usage could go down, when traveling, but to get the correct info is ever so helpful, in tome sensitive situations, and Moovit is a good solution.

Why??. I love the app, it’s a lot of help, but only gave three stars because while I’m only asking for bus routes to my destination, which I know are available, the app is only giving me Subway routes (im in NYC, btw). Even though in my preferences, I have only the bus routes selected, & it USED to give me bus AND Subway options, even though back, then I still only have the bus route selected in the preferences. I REALLY Hope that you guys aren’t screwing with the free version of your app on purpose so people pay for the subscription. If not for this one problem, it’s definitely a five star app, imo. Thanks Trying to respond to developers. It was the M20 Bus that i was looking for, but as the developers you guys probably already have that info, or should be able to see/get it. Regardless, ANY bus route i ask for, wanting ONLY bus routes sometimes i dont get ANY. Just Subway routes. So, I’m not sure what difference WHICH bus i was asking for makes. I couldve been asking for any bus, & that could’ve happened. & my problem with asking for bus routes & getting SUBWAY routes, is that Im disabled & CANT take the Subwsy due to the stairs & going up & down them. Thanks forYour response, and for looking into this, and hopefully correcting it soon.

I’d recommend this to everyone!. I’m not lying, at first I got TheBus2 despite their review but then when I found the link to the app on their website by accident, I was honestly surprised how good the app was! It’s easy for me to navigate, I just found out that it will notify you when to get off, you can search up all the bus lines in your area, it tells you how long a walk to a stop is, and you can even call an Uber! It’s honestly amazing! I don’t see this app as social media or location revealing since at the beginning, the app does ask if you want the app to use locations all the time, sometimes, or never. But if you are a parent and are considering this app for you or your child, I would definitely get it! How would I know? This is my first year catching the bus as I am an incoming freshman!

Must have app!. This app is so incredibly helpful! I moved to Europe for a few years and cramming in as much traveling as possible. No matter where I go, moovit makes getting around the destination city a breeze. Especially bc you can pick a destination place (like a restaurant) and not have to know the nearest transportation stop name. My only annoyance is re the stations page...not all bus stops show unless you zoom in. I’d rather see them all piled up indication I should zoom then none at all. I really only use this doing advanced planning bc I like to walk a lot to explore cities. But this isn’t a big deal bc if you search a route from current location (once there), it’ll show you the nearest and fastest options.

What Happened?. I am not one to write bitter, scathing reviews, but I have used this app so often over the past three years, I felt the need to say something. First of all, the app’s accuracy and detail rivals anything else I have used, and I commute exclusively by transit and have for years and years. Moovit has been wrong on a handful of occasions, but no more than I have fingers in one hand, which is pretty dang good for something I’ve been using over several years. About a month ago, more and more ads started popping up - first an acceptable amount for a free app that has been essential to me, now an unbearable amount. Like, can’t press any single thing on the screen without getting an ad (half of which pause my music, which is a criminal offense imo), rendering the app all but unusable. I am telling you, developers, I would readily pay for this app monthly over this. It’s worth it. But when I’m rushing to see a transit schedule and have several ads pop up before I can even pull up the proper route, that’s defeating the purpose of the app.

Pocket Travel Guide. Moovit is a must have. We used it nonstop while on our NYC vacation. NYC is big and spread out but getting around is a snap with this app. Just punch in where you want to go (restaurant, hotel, attraction, address, etc...) and it tells you how long it will take to get there and (1) which subway station is closest, (2) gives you gps walking directions to get there, (3) tells you which line to get on, (4) lets you know how many minutes until the next 3 subways on that line will arrive at your station, (5) tells you how many stops until you need to get off, (6) shows you a list of all the stops until your departure, (7) updates that list as you ride, (8) alerts you before your last stop telling you to get off, and (9) gives you walking directions to wherever you are trying to get to. As a visitor I don’t know the terminal ends of the subway lines, and that is what the subways say on them and on the signs. It would give users more confidence if the app said “D toward Brighton Beach” so you feel better about getting on a train going towards a destination you don’t know. That said, the app was always right and the only time we got on the right line going the wrong direction was because we second guessed the app.

Most Useful App I Own. Just took a trip to Italy, France and Portugal and used this in Rome, Venice, Paris and Lisbon. It automatically changes your metro city, tells you which bus/train/metro/vaporetto/traghetto to take, gives you time estimates for your whole trip as well as public transport schedules. You can pick your route based on what’s available right now, when you want to leave, or when you want to arrive, so it’s super handy when you’re trying to figure out when to leave your hotel the next morning to get to exhibit “x” by 8 am. You can also choose your departure location so you can start from your location now or pick where you’ll be in 2 hours so you can plan your day. They also alert you of closures and problems, track your progress in real time via gps, and alert you when your stop is coming up. This app allowed us to safely and effectively ride public transport in countries where we did not speak the language. SO effective and reduced the stress of figuring out cheap transportation. Really, this app is a 100 out of 5 stars, absolutely LOVED it!!!!

Might as well just use google maps. I had no problems with this app in the beginning, sure this app has really annoying ads but I didn’t consider it to be an issue. It gave me good routes and I followed them with no issues, I like the features where it alerts you when to get off and when to get on a bus, but it seems like sometimes those features are faulty. Yesterday, my actual time of arrival was 50 min later than the eta that moovit initially provided! I was waiting for a bus that moovit told me to get on (moovit did not give me another bus option, which it does do other times) and after the bus didn’t come in the time slot, I reloaded the app to find that it now was recommending me to take another bus, that had already left the stop I was at! This increased my eta by 20 min as well. Although I was frustrated, I had planned to come early and it was fine. In my many panics of using the app, the annoying ads will pop up, close, and then the app will constantly load until you restart it. Not a big issue, but immensely nerve racking. But after reloading it, my eta was increased by another 30 more min?? To close, I feel like the best strength of this app is to just the ability meticulously plan ahead, but at that point you may use a service like google maps that does not have any ads that completely restrict you from using it.

Excellent app for anybody who uses public transport. I started taking the bus to and from my college campus, and for someone who hadn’t used the bus before and had no idea when and where to go, this app saved me so much hassle. It’s overall pretty user friendly and the bus times are generally accurate (with a few exceptions). On a couple occasions it didn’t show the fastest route or it gave the wrong times but otherwise it was fine. The search function is a little bit odd. If you type in your desired location (a store or a bank or a park) it won’t show you the closest option to you. The first option on the list will be something that’s miles and miles away or in a different city when there’s definitely a closer option. Overall, a great app that just needs a couple of tweaks.

Very handy, but with intrusive ads lately. I’ve been a Moovit user since 2016. I’m Disabled, & use this app whenever I have to catch public transport in my city (which is a lot, since I’m unable to drive). It uses VoiceOver to tell me roughly 1-2 stops before the stop I need to use. The fact I can choose between multiple routes & have 3 options for the type of route I want - Best, Least Walking, Least Changes - has been a life saver. However, sometime within the past 6 months, there have been very intrusive ads that stop me from actually using the app - until I find & tap on a tiny X to close the ad that will appear after 2-5 seconds. I’ve missed stops multiple times during those 2-5 seconds. The X’s to close the ads are also never in the same spot. I’d be more than happy to pay a 1-time fee to get rid of the ads, as a thank you to the devs, but this isn’t even an option. I do understand that app development, especially this app, isn’t cheap, but temporarily stopping users from actually using the app - on a public transport app where the users have absolutely no say in where their vehicle goes - isn’t the way to go.

A fantastic app!. I haven't been able to drive for six weeks because of a busted shoulder. So I've discovered the fascinating world of public transport. And I wouldn't be able to negotiate going anywhere on public transport without this indispensable app – it makes moving around easy, pleasurable and successful. Full marks !

You know the way best. I have the Moovit app and google maps. I don’t know why but you manage to give better routes and more choices. For some reason google maps can’t do this as well as you. I love how I can start a new trip with you and you tell me how long until my bus arrives. It’s so good. Instead of waiting sometimes forever with you I can leave home and see the bus coming. It’s the best!!!

The most useful app I have. This app consistently outperforms the given public transport apps created by the government! I use it everyday in Brisbane to get from place to place, it always finds the fastest possible route no matter the time. Visited London on holiday, and worked just as well. Overall: An absolute essential if you ever have to use public transport!

Great app but the ads are annoying. I’ve enjoyed using Moovit for a couple of weeks now and it’s helped out a lot with navigating a new city. However, I can’t seem to find any way for me to opt out of seeing ads in-app. This gets mildly annoying when I’m in the middle of looking up directions and an ad pops up.

Disappointing. Moovit app won’t allow me to edit or delete favourite addresses & once you are in the city & accessing trains it gives you no real clue which way to get to the suggested stand?? very frustrating overall. thought i loved it until i had to use it in detail... having said that didn’t hit “live directions”... so not sure if that would have helped!

Not bad but not that accurate. Not as accurate as would be good real time is not very accurate on certain lines in Adelaide such as 506 and 560. Bus drivers here are notorious for either being early or late so accurate times are valuable . Last week I waited for e 560 at a stop and it told me it was 6 mins, and then I looked up to see it almost upon my stop lucky I was there. The 506 today said 1-06 but the bus arrived 1-02 and left same time. 4 mins might sound nothing but when you have to catch connecting buses it can be the difference between now and a half hour or worse Id it’s the last one. Plus these ads are annoying g popping up when you’re trying to quickly see the times. Foxtel and commercial tv have lost s lot of business to others due to wasting people’s time bombarding them with annoying ads so apps should be wary of this creeping problem.

Bus. Think the times need to be correct as I waited for 600 and it had next one was in 58min when it was due and I didn’t miss it as at bus stop 20mins before then I 5mins to run with a suitcase which isn’t easy and catch the 737 as had appointment then sitting at the 737 stop and the 600 comes and turn to way it was meant to be so I was late for my appointment.... Wasn’t happy at all..

Lots of useful services… that dont work well. This app is full of good ideas with horrible execution: Gives up to date bus times when you’re in a rush and you need to make a quick decision… if you just watch an add first for 30 seconds that sometimes will bug and never let you exit. Let’s you see the bus line’s entire route…. If you can figure out the exact name of your bus line’s terminals, and select it from a list of all of the busses with that number in the entire country. Let’s you pay when you get on a bus…. If you can navigate a complicated 10-choice process while trying to balance on a moving bus.

Driver who saved me untold amounts of stress. Many, many thanks to bus driver (600) Tony, who alerted me to the fact that my wallet was on the ground at my feet, at the Caloundra Bus Station today. Somehow it had fallen out of my pocket right there waiting for the bus. The thought of replacing all those cards etc. in my wallet is just such a horrifying thought. What a lifesaver. Tony thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏🙏🙏 Alex Headland

Why can’t I travel away from my city?. Moovit is a good app, however today when I went to find out how to travel from Brisbane to Byron Bay via public transport, Moovit tells me that it’s not possible due to being “Outside of my region”? I understand that there may be certain cities to configure, however the transport information and directions should not be restricted to a certain city? This then means that I cannot rely on Moovit to show me how to catch a train from one city to another area. Please fix this issue ASAP.

Accurate and well efficient. This app is amazing, very helpful and accurate! Spot on with times and places but only thing that needs to improve is when your riding the bus it should follow along even when you exit the app because when I go back into the app it loose the bus time/table I’m currently on and then shows other times that are next available that's not important when your already on the right bus but waiting for to next destination. It would be helpful if it stays on track when your on the bus and then you don’t loose your timetable and times for you destination. (Only had this problem once or twice but besides that everything is great so far!)

Accurate and reliable. I especially like the favourite feature; you can easily access locations you visit frequently from the home page, and you can favourite certain bus stops to see when the busses will arrive. The times for the busses aren’t just based off of the schedules, they are different each day as the busses will naturally lag behind/be a bit forward.

A Big Help for a little blind man. This app is good for a blind person. It works well with voice-over. It handles the complexities that many apps failed to. It’s simple to use. And automatically tells you where to get off thank god for that. Plus it works in many regions so you don’t need a new app each time you go to a new city hallelujah One app that works in many locations see you don’t need to learn a new app works b extremely well with voice-over thank God for this

Be carful of bus times. So this app is good for knowing when to get off the bus or train. But the thing is that the neither the bus or train time tables are up to date. But is is super handy to be notified a stop before. I got a new job and I can’t figure out how to change my “work” which is super frustrating, but overall if your looking for when to get off a bus or a train with visual and notification then this app is great!! But make sure you check Translink app before cuz of closures and time changes and such.

Better planner but needs no ads. This is a really good app. Use it I’ve the PT app but now there’s ads and no option for getting rid of them. Frustrating when your in a rush and each ad doesn’t show you the quickest or easiest way to exit. It’s like every ad now makes the smallest exit button. Please get rid of ads or make a one off payment to get rid of them.

Widget doesn’t work, interface is so crowded!. The widget for this app that is supposed to show your favourite stations at a glance constantly says “unable to load” forcing you to open the app which hammers you with ads and a very busy interface. It also shows the arriving busses in a weird way. My stop has three busses going to the city. The app lists only one time for a bus and then shows the next one. H20 H22 H24 When actually there are several H20 busses before the next H22. Why not list every bus in order of arrival at my stop? This app means you see far less busses than are actually coming.

Overwhelming ads, underwhelming performance. The sheer number of ads is crazy. Some banners here or there was fine but having timed screen covering ones is frustrating when you’re in a rush and need to know where to go. Other than ads, the app can be a little slow. I often get told that it isn’t supported in my region and have to reselect so the app works again. Generally fine though, good enough to use but if there is another option that does similar with less ads, I’d be trading up.

Average functionality. I like the idea of the platform where I could access the favourite locations. However, there are some issues: 1. I couldn’t change the favourites into other names than “work”. 2. Any routes that occur within 5 minutes will not display on the suggestions at all. So when I am very spontaneous, I will have to wait for the next bus or train. Sometimes, I have rely on the Transperth apps to confirm any transports that comes in 2 minutes. 3. There is no options to enter bus stop Numbers for the timetable. Again, I will have to use the other apps to conforms. The idea of this apps in good but lack of immediate travelling time is a let down. The constant double checking of the public transport app indicates that I am confident in the logistic the app suggests. The camera view, seriously I don’t see the point of using it. Not sure if I want to continue to use.

Great app for USA subway, online and offline. I used this app for NYC and found it to be he best app available despite using numerous apps. This was up to date, using real time and navigation was so easy. I was able to use this in the morning to plan my day and connect to WIFI throughout the day if needed to figure out where I was going (travelling from Australia, I didn’t have a working phone on data).

Currently stuck an hour away from home!. I'm a newbie to Melbourne, and I was told it was the easiest app to use to navigate around public transport. Yet, I somehow still keep getting lost every time. Instead of taking me the fastest route to the city which was an easy hour and 20 tram ride that I'm very used to taking, it decided that it would tell me I need to get off and get a train the rest of the way. I believed the app, have now lost my deposit on my appointment, been late for work multiple times because it suddenly decides the train it told me to get on is not the right train. Also I'm now constantly stuck in random suburbs with no easy way home. Thanks a heap! Download ptv and save yourself the trouble

An awesome app. Since downloading Movit I have been able to navigate my way around and more importantly able to pre organise and plan my trips It’s easy to use and anything else you need to know you get regular updates to assist with your traveling. I find it very useful as I rely on public transport for getting about

Simple is best. I prefer using this app over the PTV app I found it a bit complicated and confusing to use at times, either when I’m in a rush or planning my journey in the moment. With Moovit, the simple as well as clear layout makes it easier to navigate through and use the app. Even the cool handy features it has really helps during travel too.

Love Moovit…however!. How do I stop seeing adds/games etc when I am trying to locate where I want to go. I get interrupted each time I put location in and then it won’t let me out. I love the Moovit app but this happening all the time is very annoying! This is also annoying…trying to send the review and needing a nickname which everyone I put in is already taken??!

Very Useful App!. I really like tasting this app for maps and public transport information. I’ve used it in many countries and cities within Australia, South East Asia, and South America. The only thing that I would like, would be a function to share journey routes with people, instead of sending them a general link to the app when you press ‘share’.

My Moovit Experience. I use Moovit for the most basic things. So, for bus trips, train rides and the more infrequent ferry, it works well. I do point out though, a fundamental knowledge of Sydney geography and using the public transport system makes Moovit a great aid. It is not 100% intuitive and that knowledge plus experience will save you time and being misinformed on the odd occasion when there’s multiple ways to travel.

Great app but inaccurate timetables. I really like the look and features of this app, but despite multiple bug reports, they can’t seem to get the timetable data working for express vs non-express trains, at least in Adelaide Australia. I’ve accidentally boarded express trains that don’t stop at my stop multiple times because of this app. And an express train that does not actually stop at your stop is not a good thing. Then you have to get off at the next stop, and wait for a train heading back to your stop. This app seems to assume that all trains stop at all stops which is not true. Until they fix that, I can’t trust it.

Intrusive ads. Intrusive ads have made the app impossible to use. Pop ups during searches means missed trips as you are forced to wait for the ad loop to allow you to exit before you can continue the search. Not to mention ads for products I would imagine have no relevance to a decent portion of users (an ad for a Peleton bike popped up just before the last bus of the night, causing me to miss it- I could hardly afford the Uber home let alone consider entertaining the idea of joining a fitness cult/ponzi scheme.

The best transport app. I’ve tried all the Sydney transport app and they all were either not live, not free, or didn’t save your trips. This app gives you live updates, as well as keeps all your trips. This app is so convenient for people who use public transport daily. I really would recommend this app to any public transport daily user! AMAZING APP!!!

Drami botanic. I have always drive my car to airport but since now that I understand the public transportation are better then my own car i have been using this transportation everytime i need to go to airport, definitely recommend for thoose who docents want to park the car lots of petrol expenses and so on tide the community public transportation is no1 option

Can’t find most locations I go to. Google maps does better in finding even the most accessible shopping centres in any neighbourhood. This app can’t even do that unfortunately. You can, however, use the alternative option to find the nearest spot to your desired destination, but it’s difficult to use on old phone models. It’s not supportive for older models.

Arrival times and route suggestions need improvement. I rely on Moovit for real time arrivals for the bus routes (primarily) and the trains. In the past year, I’ve noticed that the real time arrivals are a bit off. It’s doesn’t throw my commute into disarray but it does toy with my transfers sometimes. Also I have noticed that the route suggestions tend to pick routes that aren’t necessary shorter, would be great if this could be improved. Otherwise; I have no complaints, I enjoy the app, and use it daily!

WAY too many ads.. They went wayyy overboard with the amount of ads in the free version. I can’t use it. Maybe if the ads weren’t so intrusive I might buy it. But nope, I can’t even search for a station without an ad popping up. The ‘x’ for closing the ad doesn’t show up for ages. When it does, the ‘x’ is so small that it’s so hard to even hit it that the App Store for whatever game it’s advertising pops up over and over again. If the ads were less intrusive, I’d consider buying it. But as it stands, I’ve deleted this app. There’s better ones out there that don’t have ads and won’t violate my privacy. Deleted.

Advertising with the recent update. Have been using this app for several months. It is generally a good app, with fairly reliable bus times and route suggestions. My main complain is that with the most recent update there are now pop up adds that appear each time you bring up the app. No cool Moovit! If you want to make revenue then you can ask users to pay for the app, but introducing ads without warning that interfere with the usability of the app is annoying and frustrating.

Great App! One Caveat.. Love the app, it‘s very useful in Brisbane and I especially like the alert feature where it tells me when to get off! Only thing is that it doesnt show the platform for busses and trains so I always also need to check google maps for that. Anyway you could have it show the platform as well?

Straight Forward App. This app doesn’t muck around. Select the public transport type you want to use, starting location and destination and is shows you several routes to get there. You don’t need to know bus route numbers or even bus stops, it shows you how to get to those from your front door by foot. There are alerts you can activate to show you where to get off as you approach your destination. Easy, practical and direct! Great app!

Awesome app!. I use Moovit for a few years now. I like especially the feature where you choose the route and then it tells you when it’s your stop - very helpful if the bus doesn’t stop at every stop; you don’t need to constantly look at the route and count which stop is yours. I allow like that they are constantly improving the app and they have a good customer service, I felt heard every time I had an advice/query, they always answered my messages. Kudos Moovit!

Most useful app. Ever.. This is one of my most used apps because of how easy it is for me to plan trips on public transport that will include lots of connection changes. Timetables are usually spot on, but sometimes I’ll check the transport company’s times just in case. The only little issue with this app can sometimes be layover times. If I am transferring trains at a large main station, I likely won’t be able to make my train with only 2 minutes. It would be nice to have the option to extend layover times for yourself, and even see what train/bus to catch if you wanna grab a cup of coffee.

I'm grateful for this app. I have severe dyspraxia and dyslexia and trying to navigate my way to places I never been is not only frightening but frustrating I found this app the other day and it's great for finding my bus routes to and from home good work ! And kudos to the brains behind this awesome little app making it so much easier to get around when some bus drivers are not sympathetic to handicapped or disabled like myself bless you Debra in Queensland , au

Almost unusable due to ads. I’ve noticed recently that the app has become basically useless due to all the ads that require you to hit quit several times, trapping you in a loop of pressing quit, having the App Store page come up, clicking done, then having to rinse and repeat. It makes checking for updates while waiting or having to make quick decisions about how I am getting to work or to other events and being stuck for minutes sometimes as I get bombarded with game advertisements I can’t immediately exit. Completely ruined my experience when I’ve had previously glowing experiences.

Love the app but the ads have ruined it for me. I’ve been using Moovit for years and absolutely loved it but I’m completely over those ads! I’d much rather pay for the app and not see the ads because they get in the way of using the app. I’ve started using other public transport apps more now because of it. I completely understand that you need to be able to cover your costs but it would be fantastic if you gave us the option to pay for the app and not have ads pop up.

Mr Glen. Hi how awesome would it be if the platform number was next to or below the time it leaves I missed 2 trains this morning because I was mistakenly told the opposite platform.. being legally blind it’s hard to read all the lists If that was provided as soon as I’m off the train I know exactly where to go! Apart from that it’s a great app! I apologise if you have the platform number already I just can’t find it Kind regards Glen

Tram schedule. I do not want to go through several screens to see the schedule of trams from let’s say stop 10 to stop 4... I want to see a list of times of trams leaving stop 10 when I activate the app, as my primary (main) access. The way it is currently designed is ridiculous and not friendly for my needs. The old app (that I used about 1 to 2 years ago) was perfect. The one which came after was awful and this one (although an improvement) is NOT customer focused and its design is mediocre to say the least.

I’d pay for your app, reply when it’s possible. I’m sure the app got the high ratings when there were no intrusive ads. Just had one where I had to play a game to get back into the app. I’m sure you’re making lots of money, good on you. Tag me when it’s possible to remove the ads and I’ll come back to your app. Edit: such a trash generic response. I see many other recent reviews are saying the same. So, just deleted the app and will use something else. Edit2: just using Google and it’s been super easy. Happy I switched away from this horrible app that didn’t even care they had a good thing people would pay for. I’m sure there are plenty of people in your company saying the same thing.

Express or all stops clarity. I find the app really great but as many train stations and bus stations do not have electronic or printed timetables I’d like clearer definition of whether trains or buses are express or all stops. Last week I caught a train from Noarlunga Centre to city that was an express and I wanted to get off at Clarence Park. When I realised that at around Oaklands Park I could not seem to work out whether to get off and wait for one that would stop at Clarence Park so I had to backtrack. Cheers Amanda

Simply amazing!! Highly recommend!!. So simple to navigate around and use!! The live tracker is really something! Used it yesterday for the first time and works amazing! the notifications of bus arrival is a bit early before it gets to the stop but I guess you just have an early heads up! Thanks so much for this amazing app!

Ruined by ads. I liked Moovit and used it regularly. The stop notifications are perfect (no idea why Google Maps doesn’t have this feature) and the interface is easy to navigate. All of the app’s strong points were recently undermined by the app’s full page ads that pop up at the most inconvenient times. I’d happily pay a small subscription to get rid of the ads, but Moovit doesn’t have that option. So I’m looking at other apps and will probably delete this one.

Best Bus Transport App for Canberra. This is the perfect app to use especially if you’re new in town (Canberra) it has a map that leads you to the closest bus stop and also bus timetables. It warns you when to leave from your location so you don’t miss your desired bus. Highly highly recommend it, that’s why I had to personally take time out to rate this app for other people who always use the bus as public transport. It surely will not disappoint and still is a big help to me :)

Moovit. I am 63 and computers and apps are not my forte however I have found that this one is very user friendly and accurate. I can now plan my trip timeline prior to leaving the house. It even tells me how far I have to walk to catch the right bus and also displays Uber details ( very handy in the rain when waiting for a while) I really can’t fault it !!

Bad experience with credit card. We were tourists using the app for a while in Israel. We’ve entered our credit card details and upon leaving the country, we wanted to cancel the credit card and were surprised to discover that the app doesn’t allow a removal of the card. Instead, you have to contact support to request removing it. We only received a response several days after the request notifying us the account was closed. When back home, we saw another charge on the card we did not make and after the account was closed. Another email to their support was this time blocked, with no alternative way of contacting them and being over charged. Disappointing.

so slow. i will say i’ve been using this app for years now n have even recommended it to friends n family but it has gotten SO slow ever since they added ads that when i’m in a rush and i need to see whether i need to get off the bus or not it takes ages and it’s so inconvenient. someone please fix this i like this app

Nearly Tickety boo. I am happy with the app, except that recently my favourites have been vanishing and I had to add them again... ... twice. I am lucky that I remember them and I do not wish to create a profile with Facebook, or anything else. So, please do something about this for as long as the app is being used by myself or someone else. I have my favourites written down, both others may not wish to do that, in case of something like this. However, it doesn't mean that I and others should have to re-add favourites again and again and create another profile every time we have to redo our phones, dew to software bugs or something else. Again, this app is the greatest, except for that one little and important thing. I may have my favourites written down, but that doesn't mean everyone else will follow my lead. Otherwise, keep up the great work.

Excellent app!. It works very well all the time. I make use of it a lot.

Garbage. Times are never right and spams you with ads. Just use google maps

Ads. This app was fine even with ads maybe a year or so ago but over times it’s been wild, and hard to use as a result. Need to quickly check how fast you gotta catch your bus? Nope sorry, ad gonna pop up and cause delay. And it’s all the time. If I even for a sec just minimize the app, I get another ad. It’s too frustrating to deal with. But don’t worry! Just pay to see no ads… 🤷‍♀️

Best bus app for ANY city. I use this everywhere I travel. It's accurate, reliable and easy to use.

No live review. Tried the trial version but the live location doesn’t work. It says no line live location.

Doesn’t Work Apple Watch. I created an account on my Series 5 watch but Moovit displays “Open in IPhone”. No maps. Useless. Update: No improvement after reinstall/reboot I tried again next day maps are displaying.

Perfect. Can't fault the app, works brilliantly (better in some countries than others of course). My travel worry about getting lost has all but disappeared. Highly recommend everyone download this app

Really good. I really liked it

Worst app ever. Not accurate at all. Full of ads when you’re desperate to catch the bus. Super cheap management!

Bus 204 in Lisboa does not exist. Often this comes up as an option travelling from Lisbon to Ericeira and vice versa, I think it must be from an old system and not deleted Movit gets 5 stars everywhere else but this was a wild goose chase

Remerciements. Je pense que c’est l’une des meilleures applications, plus précises et facile à utiliser. Toutes mes félicitations!

Unuseable. Switched to google and sms notifications, this app is a huge ad banner with a bunch of irrelevant information and annoyingly poor UI.

Great app. I have been using this for about a year or so now it’s never failed me yet.

Very Handy.. New to the App. So far it’s been very handy.

Great. Great

Good idea, but not for Mazatlan Mexico. The route names and routes do not match the bus names and the actual routes they take. I instantly regretted paying for the ad free version. There is no help, no one to talk with. Don’t waste your money.

Nice. Perfectly . Asum

Not a good app.. This app sucks. It’s inaccurate 90% of the time. There are so many ads that I can’t see the bus times in a timely manor. They need to bring rocket man back because this one just isn’t it. 👎🏾

App Functionality. Favorites and locations set kept being deleted.

Too many Ads. Used it for many years but deleted as soon as they started putting ads in the app. It’s so bad. I really liked it.

good app until they started deleting the busses in favourites. this app is my holy grail, it is very useful. however, since i take busses very often i like to keep the bus lines that i use in my favourites. with the new update, every time i add them to my favourites they just end up disappearing again. it’s very annoying and makes figuring bus times inconvenient. PLEASE fix this.

Why so many ads?. This app used to be amazing. It used to be ad free, track the bus for you and show where on the map it is and provide super accurate information. It no longer does that. I have to close ads at least 3 times every time I open the app. It’s absurd. I’ll be trying to quickly find a route somewhere or figure which bus/ train to take and I have to block 30 ads before I can do that and sometimes end up missing my route.

Not working in Lanzarote. I don’t think the app is the problem, I think the information coming from the Lanzarote bus system is all wrong. We have spent the last 6 hours using the Moovit app trying to cover a distance that would be a 13 minute drive in a car. The stops don’t match the routes, the busses do t stop in schedule, and the buses shown in the app don’t go where the app says they do. Rather frustrating.

App review. This app is so helpful I use this to get around the city by public transit . Wonderful, wonderful! App.

Not recommended. Ads in this app make you crazy !! Never recommended!

Review. Great App !

Ad blocks app. Downloaded, tried free trial, first ad blocked entire app and no X to close out. Removed app

Très facile. Très facile

What’s going on?. The app worked perfect for a few months now it doesn’t give me anything and I paid for the damn thing and I can’t even use it now!! Like why?!? I used this religiously and then it stopped working ugh!! Not impressed please fix this app so it can be worth my money!! Other then that I feel ripped off if you choose not to fix it! ):

Adds. Severely damaging my telephone with annoying adds, that can’t be avoided Also can’t remove the app from my iPhone

Worst app worst so called improvements ever .. The worst new app ever . The old app was better .. and buses dont even run til like 10 am in my neighborhood .. used to get a bus at 5 am . And they only run every hour not every half hour like what is going on. I cant even get a job with that kind of bus schedule.

Not very useful. Looked up buses from Palermo to Monreale and the AST route from Palermo Centrale was not listed Relied on info from my hotel and people in the street rather than this app

Find another app, or anything else else.. The wait times on the app will tell you “15 minutes until next bus”, then not a minute later it will say the same bus is arriving *NOW*, so there’s honestly zero point in checking the app to begin with. The last three times I tried to use it the wait times were wildly incorrect and I had to wait full length for every bus. Not to mention that the ads make the app nearly unusable. While I’m using this app I’m normally in a rush and ads will continuously block my whole screen (with NO way to close them half the time, what a horrible, stupid design) and cause me to close the app and open it multiple times. I wish anyone who had anything to do with this app a horrible day and long bus times.

Comportamiento ilegal. Me obligan a permitir el rastreo de información personal y de acceso a información privada o de lo contrario no puedo usar la app, pues no tiene botón de rechazar o cerrar.

Very annoying recent technical problem. I can no longer exit and return to the home screen when I am finished reading the notifications you send. This was never a problem before but it has now happened 3 times. I actually have to power off my iPhone every time you send out a notification to get out of that and back to the home screen. My next move will be to delete the App.

Advertising. Everything is great as far as the schedules work, but there is one big But.. there is a lot of advertising that is absolutely not needed here.. Best Regards,

I use this all the time. Very useful and very helpful especially for new comers like me. It’s brilliant!

Stop showing me the option of home at 10 am. Why am I on my to work and Moovit is showing me the way home? I wish I could go home Moovit but I can’t because it’s 10 am and I have to support myself in this horrible economy so pls be mindful to my misfortune

Ads. I would give this app 4 stars because at the end of the day it is extremely helpful and I wouldn’t know how to navigate the city without it. However, it does have a pretty big issue. The issue is not only the sheer amount of ads but also the content of the ads. I have been in situations where i’ve been lost in the city trying to find my way home from school and not knowing what bus to take and the ads have caused me to miss the few possible buses I could get and be stranded in the city for upwards of 30 minutes before the next one came. I have also had ads so inappropriate I feel like I have to hide my phone screen every time I open this app. I understand that there is a subscription to moovit+ that removes the ads but affording that as a broke university student is not always easy. Overall it’s a pretty helpful app and I have recommended it to many of my friends who like it as well.

Amazing App. If you use the bus then you NEED this app. It helps me all the time and makes life 100x easier.

No pierdan su dinero. No se actualiza, el en vivo no siempre está , en mi casi la mayoría de veces . No tiene que estaciones estan cerrados por manteniendo o por otros motivos y sus horarios tampoco están actualizados. Pague por las puras

Best transit app for me :). Switched over from Transit when they started putting paywalls over previously free features (they even locked information on certain bus routes behind a paywall). App devs deserve to get paid, but their annual plan was twice as much as Moovit's ad-free plan, and I don't mind the ads at all here. Downloading transit system information for offline use is a plus. EDIT (Jan. 10th 2024): Bus arrival times have been more inaccurate lately, and some service alerts aren't shown in the app anymore, but this has been happening across other transit apps I have been using. However, I credit this more towards the Toronto Transit Commission getting funding cut, rather than placing the blame on the devs. Just something to be aware of if you're a fellow Torontonian using this app. It still can't be beat compared to the other transit apps available in Toronto though.

Ads. Never seen so many ads in an app, everywhere you click is somehow an ad and redirects you somewhere. Not helpful at all when in a rush.

Yes. Usually run on time

Very helpful app. Reliable and informative application so helpful.

So helpful. As a first time traveller this is amazingly helpful

15 NATHAN to Waterfront. I liked this app bc has a colours of all lanes of the City of Thunder Bay Transit

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

False. This app gave me false info on the bus times. I had to wait an extra hour for the actual bus to show up. And no, we didn’t miss the bus (I know this bc I got to the stop early), it just never came. Later I looked at my actual local Metro website and the time on the website didn’t sync up with the time on the app. Not to mention, these times were supposed to be for my local metro system. I also double checked that the destination on both sites. Basically it gave me false information about when “the bus” going to come. The GPS was also very confusing to use. Was hard to follow it didn’t correctly show where the bus was heading and the direction it was going. It stayed in the same place the whole time and didn’t move anywhere.

Still Not Dependable. Lots of new features, but takes too many steps and too much time to get basic info. For example, “Your Location” often defaults to somewhere you were previously, rather than where you are now — so you may have to enter this manually. Arrival time may say “now” when the bus actually left the stop a minute or two ago — so you may have to switch to the route map to see whether a bus is really coming. This app is better than nothing, I guess, but it can still leave you feeling stranded if you aren’t careful. Wish I could take the developers on some of my daily routes so they could get a better idea of the key info you need and how much time you really have to find it.

Be Careful Using This at Night. This app is okay, but last night, Moovit planned a trip for me using BART to an AC Transit bus which had already stopped running for the day. I was on the BART train, about 15 minutes from my station, as I watched my bus pull out of the station, with no further departure times for the evening. Went to AC Transit’s site for an update, but they confirmed that this line stops running at 10:00 p.m. Had I known this earlier, I could have taken a different train to another station, to connect to a different bus line that was still running. I had to Lyft home. From now on, any night time trips, I’ll use another app. Moovit is great, during daylight hours.

Amazing anxiety saver. Using the subway is NOT an intuitive process. I have not used the subway without someone telling where to go in over 10 years. Visiting NYC for business and taking the subway was very streamlined with this app. I would have been late and lost without ringing and using this app. Make sure to turn your location on so you know exactly when to get off because even with the app you can still doubt yourself. I made it to my location and back and felt safe.

Was fantastic until they introduced ads. I loved using this as my main app for transit, then one day ads, sometimes even ads for sexually explicit video games, would come up on my screen when I opened it. There was often no way to get out of the ads. No “x” button anywhere on the screen or “skip ads” or “you’re using a free version, if you’d like to pay x$ you can have an app without ads”. Nope, just a screen full of mystery box ads 80% of the time I needed it. This infuriation was only compounded by the fact that if I’m pulling up a public transit app, im probably looking to get on public transit in the next few minutes. Nothing like being pretty sure your bus is arriving, pulling out a formerly reliable app to check, and getting avatar boobs in the face instead.

Very Useful. Moovit has saved me a number of times. I needed to go from the suburbs of Massachusetts to Boston and Moovit laid out many great routes for me to take, showed what time I should arrive, showed the actual live location and time of when the commuter rail would come. I recently traveled to college and based on the actual schedule of the train I would have been 3 minutes late to catch it but Moovit said I would actually be 1 early because the train was running late, and I made the train! Instead of calculating all the nonsense of travel Moovit does it for you!

Essential if you live in NYC.. I live in NYC and working late nights and having to find a way to get home is almost impossible. This app, however, gives me a direction to go and also says when a bus/subway is going to arrive on realtime. It’s usually accurate and saves me the headache of having to find out when the train will ever arrive. The only issue is that sometimes the traintime will say that the train is coming “Now,” but then it won’t arrive for another 4 minutes. But other than that, it’s an essential tool for getting around the city on the unreliable transportation system.

Instrumental in teaching my daughter public transit. This app has been the main reason my daughter (who has Asperger's) has been successful in learning to ride the bus to community college 20 miles away from home. It is easy to navigate, it's accurate (as far as bus and train schedules), and gives so many detailed directions how to get from point A to point B it's quite unbelievable. It even helps navigate how to walk to the nearest bus stop even if it's just across the street. This will be our most used app, without a doubt, unti my daughter learns how to drive!

Awesome app ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Moovit app is great! Easy to use and you can also tell whether or not your bus will be coming in the app by the go’s system they use for that particular bus. I use moovit to plan my trips to work and back. Without it I would be lost and probably standing on the wrong side and getting on the wrong bus.. moovit even lets you know when to get off if you don’t know and when you get off, it shows you where to walk and which way to go to reach your destination. Whoever invented this app is a god send

Now I LOVE it!!. Riding the bus is now a joy. I used to hate riding the bus - the schedule. the transfers, time tables, how do I get back again, missing a timely bus, ALL the calculus needed to simply go and come home. NOW!! Now Moovit made it all soooo much easier. In many cases, I now love the bus option. You put the destination in, enter an arrival time, and your given options and what to expect pop up - even that walking time to the nearest bus stops. Brilliant! AND the ride home/back-to is a simple click and you get the round trip data to help manage your life into the optimal commute. Love it!

Great tool, interface a bit fiddly. It's great that Moovit is available in my city (Christchurch NZ) and it's pretty accurate, but not down-to-the minute exact--not that I would hold a 3rd party app to that standard. Best feature: live ride/get off alerts. It is worth having the app solely for this feature. Now I don't have to stare out the window on my whole bus commute; the app tells me when my stop is coming up. The next most useful features for me are the trip planner, and being able to see which transit stops/lines are nearby. Helps me quickly figure out how to get somewhere. I have been able to use it in every urban area I've traveled to so far. Very handy how it switches automatically to a new transit area while keeping all my favorites/saved places for each area separately. Excellent tool for people who travel to different cities. When I used it in NYC, I was very glad not to have to read all the confusing subway schedules at the stations! Thanks Moovit Small quibbles: -Sometimes it isn't clear when I'm currently in "trip" mode. -It isn't super clear how to add favorite locations, stops, and lines.

Phenomenal! Add fares?. The app works nearly flawlessly and does exactly what I need it to. I use it for buses, but besides telling me accurately when the buses should be arriving (where I live it’s accurate to within a minute), it also gives me good walking directions for the part of my route that doesn’t have a bus. It’s amazing and I use it frequently. Two recommendations: add fares for buses and trains. It would be great to know how much to expect to spend on a trip before I leave so I can bring exact change. The other recommendation is to be aware of unavailable routes, like paths through private property. Fully deserving of 5 stars though.

Review. OK, here goes #1) Both at my current address and my previous address, this shows my “location” at a building that does not exist - it WOULD, if there was not currently a large apartment building that includes that former street address - it does not work for my building. It influences cab requests and sends them around the corner from where I am. #2) I have printed out the exact routes of buses I may wish to use, so that I can enter “from” and “to” locations as they are called on the MTA bus - because - this app will send me over the river and through the woods - all over the place, numerous changes - what should be a 5 minute walk and single 20 minute bus ride becomes a bus/a subway/another bus and an hour trip.

Missing labels on alert, preview screen when using voiceover. The agency alert screen is not fully accessible with voiceover go to the menu, go to agency alerts and view the existing alerts on the preview screen. The alert title is not visible on the screen to voice users. The message says double tap for more information, but you have no idea what you’re tapping on. When you enter the alert itself it tells you, but this is a cumbersome waste of time when you have several alerts from several different transit agencies to scroll through to figure out which one is important to you please fix

American in Europe. I come from a large city in the US that has very little public transportation, so I’m not very accustomed to using it. I got lost trying to navigate the multiple options for public transportation on my first night in Budapest and found this app by chance. It absolutely saved me and my elderly mother who was traveling with me. It helped me though Budapest and Prague, and we have a Christmas market trip through Germany and Austria coming up this year for which I’m sure it’ll save me again. I’ve recommended it to everyone I know who travels, and to everyone I know that wants to.

This app is absolutely awesome!. Amazing because this app fully plans trips to which ever address you search for. This has helped me save so much time and has given me such wonderful information for public transportation so that I am not lost or stranded. My car wasn’t working and it was in the shop! This fantastic app helped me to figure out how I was going to get to and from work. From walking to the nearest bus stop and then taking buses to the train and from the train station to my job. They even provide you with Uber information. They also provide you with cost information. Thank you!

Bad ETA’s and Ads. I do not have the ability to remove the ads like the app says I do. It also tells me to a “here” that looks hyperlinked, but doesn’t work. I also can’t click the thumbs up or down button for whether or not that “tip was helpful”. This app also constantly gives me incredibly wrong ETA’s. I will be 1 minute away from a stop, but if I just started the virtual trip on the app it will say something like 20 minutes until that stop. When I’m actually starting my virtual trip at the beginning of my physical trip it’s incredibly optimistic on my arrival eta. I do not think this app is linked to any sort of GPS that can track traffic, so it’s just shots in the dark. I’m so over it. No idea how the app’s rating is so high. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating.

Better now than ever!. I’ve been using this app around the time that I had an iPhone 5s! Back then it wasn’t so great but now I use this app every single day. Granted there are times it doesn’t calculate the arrival appropriately but 98% of the time this app is accurate! Thank you, I don’t know that there are any other great apps, I love the layout and ease of use! I also have changed jobs a few times and have used this app to discover new ways to get to work and around the city of boston! Please don’t change! Keep doing what you’re doing as I recommend to everyone I know!

Great and useful app. This is a great and very useful app to the riders and much as the drivers!!! I want to push your guy from the monotony of being a useful app to be THE app that every rider and driver will depend on! First, that red line that shows the trajectory always hide the name of the street. Find a way to solve that issue. Next, make it a spoken app and allows the app to announce left/right turn. That will help the drivers tremendously. It will get rid of the countless hours that the transit companies spend on training their drivers on routes. Thus saving them a lot of money!!! Last step, SELL it to the transit companies! Time to make money!!!!

Does all the math for you!. Overall this is a great app to get around my city (Houston) or any city in fact. You can save routes, tells you when the bus rides, how long it takes, maps, uses gps, how long you have to walk/ride the bike. You can even order an Uber in-app. The only thing that was kind of inaccurate was the bus usually comes a few minutes earlier than anticipated by the app which can be problematic. Overall, I highly recommend this app, you can use it all over the world!

MOOVIT TOPS!!!. I have been searching for an app that would give me EVERYTHING in one from bus routes, directions, driving routes, Para-Transit Taxi Services, Taxi, Uber, traffic, accidents, etc etc etc all in REAL-TIME! REAL-TIME Is so important when traveling, especially when riding the bus. They give you options right then, no second guessing. THANK YOU!!! My family (grandson) seems to think that I know EVERYTHING! Like I know ALL the bus routes and schedules. So I had him download this app so he could use it and stop asking me. So THANK YOU Developers for creating an app that is easy to use and multi functional!!!! PS: It also has the 👮🏽‍♀️ alerts added in for all you speeders!

Unreliable but some useful features. I have primarily used Moovit with AC Transit in Berkeley and Oakland, and the app has been very unreliable regardless of the line, time of day, or day of the week. It usually doesn’t get the arrival times right. I made the mistake of not checking nextbus today, and now I will be standing at a bus stop for the next half hour because Moovit didn’t take into full account tracked buses and the unreliability of bus schedules. I downloaded the app with the hopes of having an alternative to nextbus, but unfortunately was disappointed. The only redeeming quality of the app is the fact that the app provides you with notifications as to when you should prepare to get on or off your bus. However, even this is flawed, as arrival notifications are usually given after the bus has already departed. I can only hope that the developers improve the most fundamental aspects of their app.

Worthless app. It used to be the best app I told all of my friends about it totally free. Now obtrusive pop-up ads like back in the 90s pop up every time you open the app or do something on the app. to be expected Apple allows every app and its market to do this now. It’s all about the money. They also allow any app on the market but I digress. what makes this app worthless is the live location does not update every second now. It updates every 2 to 3 minutes so you never know where the bus is or when it’s coming. Really disappointed I used to tell all my friends and people I met at the bus stop to download it now I tell them to stay away from it. Word of mouth advertising google it. The most powerful advertising ever.

Issue with the Train timetable. I really do like the app and all it has to offer, it’s just one little thing which is that the NYC area when you go to click on a train line headed in any direction it won’t give you the list of times the train comes to specific stop like how it use to when you would click on the train lines direction your headed in it will just pull up a list of all the stations stops for that trains line/that train lines stops and not the list times for the trains that run and operate in, out of, and from that one specific train station your picking/choosing the train line you need. If I’m not mistake the app also does this for the bus lines as well.

Great App!. I had a trip to Rome Italy, but did not want to pay Taxi or Uber fees to get around the city. I wanted to use the public transportation (bus, tram, metro, etc) to get around Rome. Looked at maps but they were very confusing. During an internet search I came across this app (a few days after arriving Rome). Brilliant app, showed me how to get from one point to another in Rome using buses, metro, trams, local trains, even showing the stops in between, real time tracking at what point of the route you are, etc. And the same is possible in most parts and major cities of the world. Love this app, saved me so much taxi fare already.

Unreliable. I’ve resorted to using multiple transit app because none of them are reliable. This app is no better as it’s reliable maybe 30% of the time. For example, I rushed out of my house every day in the past two work weeks to get to a bus that would get me to work in time only to find out that even though Moovit said it was coming, it never showed up. I did the math and it was about 7 out of 10 times that this happened. I only recommend this app as a back up to another transit app, although they’re all pretty awful so it’s a gamble no matter what. I thought this one would be different. Oh and it asks you to rate your arrival times but ONLY when your transit actually shows up when the app says it will. Boo. Dislike.

Best transportation app ever. If you need to know how your route is going at the very exact moment, this is the app for you. Super easy to use. It gives you an option for drop off alerts so you don’t miss your stop which is very useful because I’m a zone-out reader. If there’s updates in city regulations on the public transportation, this app will let you know in no time frame, so you are always updated. You can also schedule trips, and know the exact moment when the metro is arriving. I love this app, it’s impossible to get lost using this. You get to be everywhere you want with just one touch.

My only source for transportation, THE BUS. Amazing App, notifications settings for snow days, cancellations, and route updates and exactly where your bus is at anytime, late or right on time, very grateful for this app, using the call centers or dispatch I've had lots of troubles with customer service and help with bus schedules, times, and reservations it no reservations through this pandemic we’ve all had to face, one terminal will awmd you to the other one says you have to make a reservation the next will say you don't or you don't on saturdays totally contradicting what the other says in regards to your schedule and departures! Awesome amazing app here and no confusion

Better than Fasttrak.. I was recommended to download this from Suffolk fast trak. It is better in lots of ways than that App, but still has some downsides. If you’d improved it by adding certain items to make it more user friendly, it would be great!! You can’t navigate from one page to the other easily. There are no back arrows!! In some cases you must delete every bus selected to just delete one!! Alternatives should be offered on near by bus stops. (If they exist of course). And transfers marked with a T at the stops. Makes life easier. Knowing at a glance instead of having to read a long route to find it!! I do like the app so far. I haven’t bought passes yet, but will soon. Hope that is easy to do!!

Lost with out you!!!. I recently moved to a suburb with words I was not familiar (and still M not). “Move It” has helped me get to where I needed to go in there times for the buses and trains are spot on; if a bus or train is going to be late they make sure the customer knows that. I would literally be lost were it not for this app and I’m truly appreciative for it. I tried to put “10” in the rating as “10” was highest & “1” lowest but as soon as I hit the “1” unfortunately that’s what they answered. Thus, I am writing this to make sure to try and correct that error. Thank you so very much to “Move It,” by far the very best app to get around Chicago!

Is there a way you can include more routes. Seems like it works during the day but at night for example.... I’m about to board a train home and the app said 9:22 and it’s 9:03. Adopt user interaction maybe like waze and maybe can fine tune arrival times ... based on user input and you can apply that to the algorithm you use for different cities. For example I use #16 and #60 bus to get to and from work but the app only has #16. I’m not one to judge a app because as a software developer time has been put in this.... maybe improvement on where you gather your data to spit our arrival and departure times. Totally support this app. As a Charlotte resident #KEEPPOUNDING

Love the app. Hate the changes!. I really do like this app! It’s very helpful! However, they recently added advertisements with no option to pay to remove them and they are making using the app very difficult. Each ad has the close option somewhere else and sometimes they pop up in another language and I don’t know how to close out of them. Plus the ads pop up when you click on things you actually need to see in a hurry sometimes rather than during down time of using the app. I don’t know why they don’t offer an option to pay to remove ads like other apps or at least make the ads consistent. I hope they fix this!

Best for the daily commuter!. I live in the Bay Area and I drive, take a train, and then a bus to get to work everyday. I don’t think I could do my commute without Moovit. The times are accurate, I check the live updates often during my commute and know if I have to run to make it or I have time to get a coffee. The only part I don’t like is you cannot manually update your route, for instance I prefer to take the bus from one stop further down than it suggests and there’s no way to update it so I have to leave my directions and look at that individual bus stops live updates.

Unfriendly when it about payment or cancellation. No option to fix any mistake or cancel your credit card . I was checking the price of my possible trip . When some how “bought the ticket to the train “ and it wasn’t the idea at all. I looked for an option to cancel- but nothing . I received Qr that obviously I never marked it because I never went to the train station . When The next day I receive receive, I was charged maximum fare becaus I never “finished “my trip . Hello, I never finished because I never went on that trip . I sent 3 emails, called to Mooveit . And all Answers I received that they will check it and will considerate my complain and if everything is ok as Insay , my money will be returned within 2 weeks . Well , they charged me . Although I never marked Qr , and without ir I couldn’t enter or exit to the train station in Israel.

Total waste of time. Schedules and stops are great on WiFi in my house but I can’t use the ticketing option. I’ve followed all the steps, added my details, registered, added a card and I still don’t have the option to buy a ticket. Even if I could, you can’t buy it until you’re ready to board… my bus stop has ZERO data. I can’t use the app at all with no data. There should be an option to pre buy your ticket for this reason and download offline maps. I’m new to my town and need a reliable app. I could be stranded if I didn’t have cash (which I rarely do). I’ve tried to buy it further from my stop where I have one bar of data but the option to buy button is not there, neither is the “my tickets” section they talk about on the FAQ. I don’t understand how this app is even still around.

TIME is literally time consuming. The company needs to update allll their avenues of information, to include information on the web, apps, and EVEN THEIR BROCHURE. This past week alone (4 days) I’ve stood at stations for a collective of 5.4 hours because the either the online information was off, the app, and even the brochure I was given when I brought this issue up to a transit member. Then when I ask other transit members of a scheduled bus that isn’t showing up, they all seem to know when the next bus will get there, and sometimes they do. . However my issue lies in the fact that we are not disseminated the correct information and are left with the feeling of the city doesn’t really care about us. Which is displayed through the carelessness in which this transit system treats our time.

Good / bad news to MANY ads but good function. This app is a good news. Bad news type of thing. I first started using it years ago and they have definitely been adding and improving most of the functionality. But the downside is they have way too many ads built into it. Stay on the screen too long, switch to a different screen, and you have to go through another forced time ad. Useful if you’re trying to plan out your trip before you leave and you have time to work with. Not so good if you want to take a quick look and see if your bus is coming or where the other stops might be. The function works. It’s just the time delay going through one maybe two or three ads before you get to the data you asked for I’d love to be able to use it during my trip but with all these ads it’s just not worth it. Yes, I understand They have to show some ads to make some money and I had no problem with dealing with that in the beginning, but now they just show so many ads the frustration level blocks me.

Inaccurate times versus accuracy is subpar!. Update - I bought the full version because it was on sale No ads but still GYST and sync with the schedules. “Bus arriving now , no 3 min, no 7 minutes , no 10” Looking for a better app Update - what happened to this app? It’s like it has the equivalent of a brain infarct. Times do not adjust. The app directs me to get off on stops that make no sense and the schedule is so dysfunctional. I have the schedules of three buses with the connection. The app says the trip will take 15 minute when the trip in normal traffic takes 30 minutes. And what is the problem with these annoying ads Inc Google ads are annoying and sometimes difficult to close. It’s worse than the internet.

Best App ESP if you’re New to a town !!!. It doesn’t matter which apps you use or which forms of transportation, this app will help you get to where you need to be by whatever time you need to be there, using all rideshare applications that are out there! Meaning: if you need to grab a BIRD, LIME, or a LYFT scooter 🛴 or a WHEELS BOLY It doesn’t matter which apps you use or which forms of transportation, this app will help you get to where you need to be by whatever time you need to be there, using all rideshare applications that are out there! I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED & REFERRED THIS APP TO OVER 20 of my Friends (+20!!!!!)

Good for travel, but also if you just want a tram/bus manager.. The ui can be a bit cluttered at times, but the app works great and is a fantastic aid to people who need to take the bus, train, etc. It’s also great for people planning trips who will need public transport. The variety of transport methods, and the fact that they automatically use whatever ones are most efficient to get you to your destination - even mixing and matching transport methods such as a bus ride then a walk -, means you’ll have a super optimized route.

Bus. It’s unpredictable. Why is bus #16 is always off schedule? I leave my house 20 minutes early to get to the bus stop so I can wait till the bus gets here on schedule time. For example if bus is scheduled to be at 12:20 I leave my home at 11:30. My walk to bus is 10 minutes. And is still gets here late. Or the bus is not running due to road work or such. App should alert us if bus is not available. I take bus to go to work. Many times I had to walk to baychester ave and Pittman to catch bus because if it wasn’t for a person walking by my bus stop telling me that the bus won’t be stopping on nereid ave/ mundylane. Many times I had to call a taxi from the bus stop. Why the #16 is mostly a lot more late than being on time. I have three different bus app. And they all show the same time. I take the bus to go to work. What the heck is going on????

Ads Impact User Experience. I’ve been using Moovit for a while now and it's been a lifesaver for navigating around town. It's super easy to use and has helped me get to my destinations on time without fail. However, I did take off one star because of the ads that pop up every now and then. While I understand the need for ads to keep the app free, they can be a bit annoying. It would be great if there were fewer of them or an option to remove them altogether without having to upgrade. Despite this, Moovit is still my go-to app for getting around, and I'd recommend it to anyone needing transit help.

Great until all the pop ups. I’ve been using this app in multiple cities since 2016. It was once my favorite app for getting to and from anywhere. It’s the most accurate transit app I’ve used by far. I understand that they have to keep the lights on somehow but the amount of pop up ads that are on the app now make it nearly impossible to use. After trying to get over it for months, I had to delete this morning. I couldn’t even get to the Notification Center without being stopped by an ad. Again, I get that ad revenue is important but ad revenue at the sale of user experience is what has turned an awesome app into something not worth the trouble.

One of the best apps on my phone!. This app is so useful. If you are going anywhere just put the address or place in and it will tell you everything. How long it takes how much it costs and what transportation is available. It gives you the times for the train and buses also the ferry’s. When I came across this I thought it was such a good idea but honestly it’s brilliant. I use this almost every day and you can even order lift or u we through this app too. Love this app. 10 stars. You should download it, you’ll be happy that you did.

Good App. The App is good I would say it helps you get where your going only thing I don’t like is it gives u unnecessary stops for example … ( I’m new to the town I’m in ) it told me to get off on a stop across the street(street has Heavy traffic) from the next bus stop I needed to go to later I learned there’s a stop before my stop on the same side of the street . And another example is it told me to get off the bus I was on to go to a bus stop n wait for what I found out was the same bus I just off of when I could’ve just stayed on that bus but once u figure out the kinks of that it’s kind of helpful with the help of google maps and the people around u .

Long Time User - Now Too Many Ads. I’ve used Moovit for years and it has been my go to for commuting throughout college, travel, and various jobs. Unfortunately the app has incorporated more and more ads in recent months to the point of hindering the function of the app. So many 5 second full-screen ads that inevitably open into a separate browser trying to click out of them when the ad is done. It’s tedious to use especially when in a rush because simply opening the app is often delayed by re-rerouting ads. I used to love this app but it’s become so hard to even just stay on top of my commute without facing ad after ad that my time with moovit as my travel companion is coming to an end. I hope to return someday to a better user interface.

Great app only when on-site. The app works great and have used it many times but only works when on location. Will not allow me to open metro areas or download maps for locations/cities I am planning on going to but while I am still at home in a different city. Need to be able to look at routes and plan for transit tickets prior to leaving my home city for another city/country. Now they are spamming users with adds trying to force us to buy a premium subscription. These ads interfere with the functionality and ability to use the app causing missed bus/train stops or missing the intended line then having to wait until the next time that line comes around which could be a considerable amount of time depending on the line or time of day.

Best Transit app. I was waiting for the bus when a guy told me about the app! Wow, LETS SAY “GAME CHANGER”! I have use other apps before and didn’t get a good understanding on how to navigate and see schedules for buses! With MOVEIT™️I am able to navigate and find almost any transit company I need in real time! I have learned so much from using this app and it has helped me to get to appointments and events throughout LA County! Thank you for providing a tool to help my daily commute! My “only” concern is staying updated with METRO TRANSIT SCHEDULE. Sometimes the buses are late (maybe the drivers). But that is my only concern other that this app is AMAMZZZZZZING 😀

The Google Maps killer. Moovit excels at getting you from point A to B efficiently. It provides accurate directions, alternative routes, customization, public transport, bike routes, even the price of the ride on anything paid. Thanks to this app I could finally ditch Google maps for good. Plus, it’s business model is much more transparent and privacy oriented, unlike Google’s offering. This app just need to be available in more cities around the globe. When it does, I’m sure it will be the most compelling urban mobility app for many people. If it’s available on your city, I highly recommend you give it a shot.
