Not worth the download. The tutorial is a joke. There’s no seeming relationship between how much you sweep and the speed of the stone. Curvature of the stone’s path seems utterly random. Boring and a waste of time and money.

Leaves a lot to be desired. Vague instructions on how to curl, no instructions on how to start a one-player game vs. a two-player game. Who knows, I might enjoy the thing if they just told me how to set up a game.

Simple, yet very entertaining. You may think curling is boring on TV, but if you watch it live it is different. This game is simple, yet very entertaining. You will see yourself swiping and swiping until you get that rock to the right place. Played it solo, although it also has 2 player mode. After playing it on the iPhone, I am thinking of going to a real life curling club ! Just a suggestion for a future release : they should add multiplayer support over GameCenter

Terrible. I bought this game based on the good reviews. Sadly it's a terrible game. The speed and curve of your rock is completely random. It's a game of luck. I deleted after two days.

Easily the best curling game. I’ve downloaded and played most of the free curling games available and found them either unrealistic or too easy in AI mode. This game ticks all the boxes. No fancy graphics, but who needs them. Challenging in both medium and hard AI modes. Those of us who don’t need to win every time find this challenge enjoyable. Worth the money for sure.

Really good game. I’m an experienced curler in real life. This is the closest to actual stream eggy and shot making I’ve seen in a video game.

Fantastic!. Not flashy, but it's better that way! Realistic in the sense that "no handle" doesn't go straight, a major quirk in other games. Physics are pretty sound, and the hard AI is pretty solid. One easy thing to correct is that control of hammer should be retained after a blank end, currently it switches. Already my favorite sim, I'm looking forward to updates!

Updates. Yay!. Great game. Good physics and a great way to learn strategy as the shot making is fairly consistent. It would be cool if we could sweep opponents rocks and our own after they hit something. Thanks for finally adding some updates. Keep it going.

Computer controlled shots. You have no chance of defeating this game in the hard section because all there shots are perfectly made by the computer. You have a 10% chance on the easier ones. Good thing this game is free, not worth paying for.

If only I could get the rocks to curl more than a tiny bit. This is a great game with one exception. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the rocks to curl more than a couple feet from end to end. The AI seems to be able to put a huge curl on its rocks, but no matter how far over I tilt the phone, I get a very slow rotation and thus a tiny amount of curl. If there is a trick to it I don’t know because the instructions only tell you to tilt the phone - no indication is given other than the implication that a bigger angle gives a larger curl

Enjoying this game while curling is cancelled. Thanks for making this game! My teammates and I have been enjoying this while clubs are closed and bonspiels are cancelled. One question regarding mixed doubles—the rules that I know state that no rock can be removed from play until the fourth thrown rock, but the rules in the game here seem only to apply it to the FGZ? Any reason for this? Just curious!

About as real as it gets. Without a doubt the best curling game on the market, hands down. Having curled for quite a while, it does a good job of taking the weight of throws and integrating sweeps into it that are pretty consistent with reality. 3 things could make it better... 1. Allowing opponents to sweep stones beyond the tee line. I understand that it would be difficult to integrate that in multiplayer play, but it would be nice. 2. When stones collide, they do so with almost perfect transfer of energy and glide. In reality, there a lot of friction between rocks when they strike each other that scrub off energy. These things glide like they’re weightless in space. There’s no gear effect or rock “drag” in the direction of a carom. That’s why this game never gives you a true “freeze”. 3. There should be a random change in “pebble” or overall curl from game to game. No sheet is the same twice, and better curlers get a true handle on ice conditions than others. It would make two player games more interesting, and it could be integrated into the AI version as well, I think. It would make games between strangers more interesting as well. You’d have to learn more than one aim point, weight and sweep for each spot and angle. Overall, an excellent game, though.

Great until now. This game has been great for a long time. Simple and predictable ice. However, in the last week or so, the game fails to connect to multiplayer mode, which is all I play. Please fix this bug!

Gameplay is great...multiplayer could improve. First, the gameplay is really fun, and the curling physics seem more accurate than any of the other curling games I’ve tried. The graphics are very basic, which is fine for this game. I’ve seen other games that have fancy 3D graphics, but the gameplay basically amounts to shuffleboard. In this game, there’s only one handle turning speed and one sweeping intensity...i.e. you can’t sweep harder, just longer. I don’t know enough about real curling to know how much of a limitation that is. It seems you can manage quite a bit of control just by varying the initial throw speed and how much sweeping you do. The multiplayer is pretty clunky though. There’s no flow...Every turn boots you back to the main menu. There’s no real interface to start a new game. It seems to use Apple Game Center, but to start a multiplayer game it seems your only choices are to send a text message or play with somebody random. What if I want to play with somebody through Game Center but don’t have their phone contact info? Speaking of text messages...there doesn’t seem to be any in-game chat, which further limits the fun of playing random players...they might as well be a computer opponent. One more nit to pick re multiplayer: the game makes a full turn out of non-game moves... e.g. when starting the game: pick a color, end of turn. Other player picks a color, end of turn. Each turn takes you back to the main menu. Same thing at the end (of each End.) If I throw the last rock and score, I go first in the next End, but instead of going right away, my turn ends. Then the other player watches my replay, and their turn ends. Despite all my nitpicking, the game is a lot of fun. I’m mostly just listing these complaints in the hope that the developer sees them and takes it as constructive criticism. Please continue to develop and improve the best curling game out there! 😃 👏👏👏

Seriously not worth downloading. I don't know how many bots were used to leave all these positive reviews but this game is a joke. There is not much of a relationship between how hard or lite you stroke to get the stone sliding. The curl is totally random regardless how much you tilt the phone. The sweeping action does nothing at all. I even went as far as to rest the phone flat on a table and swipe left and right...the rock still goes wherever.

Replay. Please add a replay option. I am using this as a way to learn how to skip and I need to see a replay of some shots to learn how to defend against or better place the broom.

Don’t bother with AI hard mode. I like this game, but playing the hard AI is an exercise in futility. Not only is the AI suddenly beyond Olympic level skill, but the player’s stones and ice become painfully inconsistent. Shots you’ve made a hundred times just won’t work. Stones barely curl, or curl way too much. Really frustrating.

Best option we’ve got. While I wish there would be fixes to make the physics better, I have found nothing as good as this game for curling on iOS

Best Curling App. This is really good, good physics. Would like to be able to sweep rocks after they make contact in the house. Also games should start with a coin flip. I would like to see my overall win loss record. Extra ends would also be good if tied. Great job tho.

Needs updated rules. With the Coronavirus, this is the best curling in town. I’d love a chat feature. Also, Add the 5 rock rule and games will be more interesting.

This could be better if. This game has real possibilities. However, I would like to be able to ask some questions even after going through the tutorial more than once. For example. What does, “no handle “ mean”? My problem is that there is no way to get to the developers. None. Trying to get on the website gives no place to simply ask something, although I can subscribe to a blog. There is no link for the developers themselves, so I’m left in the dark. If this is corrected, I can raise the rating. One more thought. Pressing a ? button opens a set of instructions different from the tutorial. It refers to buttons in the upper right corner which do not exist, for example.

Curling Novice but Still Fun. - So, I don’t know much about curling, but the basic walk through in the beginning got me going. - From what I’ve played so far, its been very fun - One aspect I find annoying is the graph that shows where your stone is headed and what’s in the way is on the right side, but I’m right handed and it makes it very difficult to see the graph as I’m brushing. Please, add the ability to move it around!

Great curling game!. This is a very enjoyable curling simulation and is totally worth more than a dollar. Some reviews mention the lack of instructions, which is a fair criticism. But if you visit the developer's web site you will find instructions and tutorials. Checking those out will help with the initial process of getting used to the controls which does take some practice. Here are some hints to expedite your enjoyment: 1. Swipe up from your rock to throw it, and it's the speed of your swipe that determines the speed of the rock. 2. Learn to read the "speedometer" on the screen. You can't make a good shot without it. It tells you how far your rock is going to go. Practice with different throw speeds and how they read on the speedometer and where the rock ends up. 3. To continually sweep you just need to hold your finger down in front of the rock. No need to repeatedly tap or rub. If you sweep the whole way you can greatly increase the speed (and thus distance) of your stone, and you'll see this represented on the speedometer as well. 4. The only way to control the amount of curl is to control the weight (speed) either with your initial throw or by sweeping. Learn to do it! With those three tips you can quickly learn to control your rocks. Some reviews complain that's it's not a good game and all of us who love it must be bots. Those people haven't taken the time to learn about the controls or perhaps even basic curling concepts. Trust me I am not a bot!

Nice but not all there. The shot making is realistic, but it misses some added aspects of the game. Being able to sweep stones after hits would be nice. And sweeping opposing stones out of the house would be good too. Also, a different perspective on the rock as it comes down the ice would be important. To see it from the skips perspective would be more authentic

Bonspiel!!!. You need to add a tournament / bonspiel feature to invite friends to a round robin tournament and track some statistics.

Once you play it a bit…. …you’ll really start to dig it. Not the flashiest graphics or realism, but honest-to-goodness fun. As a relative newbie to curling, I feel like it’s helped me understand and appreciate the game even more.

Cool game. Good game play to keep my brain working on strategy. Suggestions: perhaps you should allow turn selection before swiping the rock to throw. Also, I found myself playing the back half of the house aka: sweep opponent’s rock alas that feature wasn’t supported. Thank you for a great time filler.

Realistic and Fun. Bottom Line at the Top: Buy this curling game first. It is the one you will keep anyway, so don’t waste your time or money on others as I did. Why do I say that, keep reading. After watching curling on the Olympics, I had to try it in person. I took an introductory lesson at the Evergreen Curling Club, and wow, it’s about 1000 times harder than it looks. Complete new respect for curlers of all levels. After realizing that I was not curling material, but still loving the sport, I thought I would see if it was available digitally. Of course there is, isn’t everything available digitally these days 😉, and many different ones too. This game was not my first pick, but it is the only one left on my devices. The realism of the physics is amazing. Speed, friction, rotation, react just as it does on the ice. Even better actually, because I am still vertical after throwing a rock. I always saw my rocks from down on the ice level view. Dang that slider strapped to one shoe is slippery. I spent more time on the ice in one lesson than I did in all 10+ years of ice hockey. Don’t let the price of this game fool you, it is worth 5 times it’s cost. Yes I would like a better way to rotate the rock as that is the one thing I don’t feel I have real control of. But since I can’t offer any better solution, I will live with it. Otherwise I wouldn’t change anything. Oh sure, the author could use 3D rocks, digitized brooms and ice, and then charge the $5 that this version is worth. But I doubt the digital curling market is large enough to ever recover that investment. So just spend 1/2 your coffee tip and go digital curling. You will have just as much fun without the cold ice, purple bruises and embarrassment of thinking you are in shape and can certainly do something as “easy” as curling. You aren’t. Respect curlers!

Good Curling. Probably the best game I have ever played on a cell phone. No bells and whistles, just good curling.

Awesome Game. Very true to the sport and fun to play. AI is a little wonky sometimes with which shots it chooses, especially in Mixed Doubles but still a very good job. For those who gave this one star reviews for having a bad tutorial go read an article or watch a real match it’s not that difficult.

Best rocks out there. My buddy and I pick up this app every 4 years during the Winter Olympics and this time around we’re still going. It does a great job at teaching the rules and the gameplay is extremely simple. He’s colorblind and struggles sometimes but finally laid it down on me for a 7-6 win the other day; he really got his rocks off. For anyone hesitant to spend the dollar: Do it. It’s better spent on this app than sitting in your bank account losing value every day. Find your curling buddy and one day you too can make the Olympics

Predictable. The game is kind of fun in that it is something different. Don't get too excited though because the computer always knocks out any winning rocks you might have. There is no point trying to get a good rock in due to this aspect of the game. Very monotonous.

What a great game!!!!!. Totally addictive. Can’t stop playing. What would be great; having scores and ends on active game screen. Also, when you hit pause, you could have the boxscore instead of only at the end of the end. Absolutely need extra ends. No ties in curling.

App is good! But can’t see the score of the game. It is hard to see the score of the game because the writing is white and the background is mostly white. The app used to have black writing so it was easier to see it. The white score board happens when you are in a vs game and against the computer and also in the competition shots. I have tried to restart the game but it didn’t do anything.

I’d rather buy a coffee. Brutal game. Better than most curling games out there which just shows how bad most of these games are. This game is close to being an alright game but is way more about the “handling” of throwing a shot and applying turns than it is about curling. Good attempt but I think it drastically misses the mark

Great game but online play needs fixed!. Been playing this for a few years and love it! Been playing long enough that I can consistently beat all levels against the AI My only negative comments are in regards to online play. I’ve played too many opponents who will close the app during their shots if they see that it’s less than ideal. The game allows player to quit the app mid shot and get another chance. I’ve played opponents who always have the perfect shot and take long times to take a turn. I’ve tested it myself and it does work. If the developer can fix this then it’s 5 stars for sure.

Fun but needs work. This is a fun game and very realistic. Future improvements should create a third level of difficulty between easy and hard. At easy the computer is beatable most of the time. At hard it suddenly becomes super curler with perfect shot selection and throw weights. It can even regularly create ridiculous triple raises that you rarely see in real-life curling. Call the third level experienced and give the human a chance.

Best curling game out there. I love this game. My wish list for this game is as follows: 1) Correct the mixed doubles rules (no rock in or out of the house should be able to be removed from play until after the 3 delivered stone each end). 2) Remove the ability of players to cheat (you can shut down the app mid shot if you are going to miss and then play the shot again). 3) Have a randomized ice surface that can change over the course of the game, so players have to figure out which spots curl more, or which tracks are slower. 4) Bonspiel or tour feature

Love the game but……. Curling games don’t end in tie. Need option for extra ends All games with the computer start with the computer having last rock. There should be an option to decide who has last rock, or a coin flip or alternate. Should be able to sweep an opponents rock after the T line. Should have some sort of gameplay which includes tournaments, Bon spiel’s and your standings in a round robin tournament for example after each game against the computer something to make this a little more interesting other than just a game with the computer.

Solid game, would like 2 minor updates. Great game, really enjoy it. Would love 2 minor changes: 1. Add an extra end if the game ends in a tie. 2. Ability to change the underglow of the broom used for aim to a colour other than white. When not in the house it blends in with the white with the ice and makes it harder to be accurate.

Good but need ability to disable sound effects. It would be so nice if you could disable the sound effects so that you could listen to only music while playing (no sweeping or delivery noises). Please add it as an option. I haven’t seen it in settings. Oh my gosh the option to mute it is there. So sorry, upping the review

Need to update rules. The App needs to be updated to include correct rules for doubles play. The starting rocks are not placed I the correct positions and it does not appear to disallow removing stones in the house before 5 rocks are in play. Otherwise the game is the best curling game I’ve played . But the they to get the real game rules up to date.

Your game cheats!. I have been playing your game for several years now and I am finally giving it up altogether! Your game cheats. It cheats badly! Anyone who has either curled for real, like I have for 59 years, and anyone who knows how to curl and okays your game will agree with me. You know exactly what I am talking about!

Layout changes not appreciated.. Love this game. I while away countless hours on it. Changes this week have the turn feature closer to the bottom of an iPhone screen rather than the top. After sliding your finger up to throw the rock you must quickly move back to the bottom of the screen. This is different, inefficient and bothersome to an experienced player. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK OR GIVE AN OPTION TO!

Great. This game is amazing but the computer at times makes impractical shots that do not benefit it. The “hard” difficulty on the computer setting could be more difficult

Curling. I love this curling game, but it would be nice if there was a way to play over wifi or Bluetooth, but not through Gamecentre and being able to watch the game as it's happening and not just leave the ice after your shot. And in the new multiplayer mode, if you could scrub over the sheet to see the shot unfold as your opponent is throwing. It might be asking for a lot, but it would be a lot of fun. And one more thing. If you could see instant replays in this multiplayer mode and in local multiplayer mode, that would be awesome!

Hard to rate. One player using a cheating app and playing every human vs human game has killed interest for everybody. Wish the creator would address this, because the game is terrible now as a result. Forfeit 90% of games before they start because you’re playing against a cheat. The hard computer mode is a bit off and not worth playing after a short while as it’s not very competitive. Game arrow covers just inside the hog line which hides long guards, and graphics cover the wings making aim a problem. The mechanics of the game itself aren’t bad, but not at all managed or improved in any sense by the creator. Many improvements would be so simple. Avid curler and moving on, never any maintenance.

best ios curling. a+ game. physics of the game are fairly close to 100% accurate. would love to have 8 and 12 foot lines to help call line out wide!

The Last Rock Curling. Fun game once you get the hang of it. One thing missing is sweeping in the house. Especially sweeping opponents rocks out. One sweeper is allowed to sweep opponents rock pad the t-line.

Great fun!. Just couldn’t figure out the login to play with friends easily. Otherwise pretty accurate. Made 4 out of 5 of my first shots.

Great game. I’ve written several reviews on this game with concerns only to delete them when the dev team fixes them. So my review this time is to just mention that this game was made by one of the best, most responsive development teams I’ve encountered. I do have one question though. When I play against another player, it seems to match me with the same player every time. Is there only one other real person out there to play against, is that player a bot? Seems weird that it matches me with them even when I’m currently in a game with them. Regardless, great game and great dev team.

Out of play. Once a rock passes the back line, it is out of play. It can be annoying having to wait for rocks to come to a complete stop for the turn to end, even though they’re already out of play.

It’s a fun curling app, what do you want?. It’s a great little game to pass the time, and it’s excellent for teaching some of the basics of strategy. I plan on using it to teach my girlfriend how curling works!

Please expand on this app. This is my favourite app. Is there any chance to improve it to add bonspeils and more challenging games. I win every time and could use a challenge.

Best curling game for mobile. Easily the most realistic curling game for mobile, maybe on any platform since Granite. Thanks for updating and adding extra ends! One suggestion would be to add the “no tick” rule in on a future update. Seems like it is here to stay. Amazing game!

So authentic you can practically taste the beer!. Excellent integration with iPhone controls. It captures the feel of the ice. The single player mode provides great training for the local versus mode. Good for solo play, or playing with friends over a pint!

Cannot play a game.. Get error message all the time. After every shot. No leader boards. Can not make a new game.

Poggie. I curl A LOT ; this game needs a medium level as hard level is unrealistic... Easy level is more real than hard level.... Otherwise a very enjoyable game.

Rock On. Excellent simulation of the game. Educational and fun!

Blanking. Good game. One major problem they should fix is if you decide to blank an end and the computer was last to score, the computer goes first. That's the whole point of blanking an end. I will try to blank an end if I feel I can't get two points with the hammer. Otherwise it's a pretty good game.

Very realistic. Over a year now and I still play it. Have not become bored with it, always a challenge.

Awesome. I really like this app because it replicates the game of curling to a tee. I also like the levels of play.

Good but needs couple fixes. Good game that is most enjoyable when playing against another human. One major logic/rules fix required: When blanking an end (ie. no points are scored), the player with the hammer should retain it for the next end. This is a key piece of strategy, especially late in games. This is the number one thing that should be fixed in my opinion. Also it’s a shame that there are no extra ends to break ties at the end of a game. The game just ends in a tie.

Great game!. It takes a little practice to get the throw strength, but once you get that, it’s fun. You retain the hammer after blanking an end and that’s fun. I’m no Sandra Schmurler but it’s fun pretending, and this is nowhere near as cold as a rink.

Great game. I really enjoy this curling game. The challenges are really good practice, and the games against the AI are good practice as well, although an experienced curler should have little trouble beating the AI after some practice. I really enjoy and appreciate that, like real curling, weight of shots can still be tricky to make perfect, which keeps it tricky. My only wish-list item would be a chat feature within the game: if the thrower could write a little comment / chirp / trash / talk after their shot and would push to the other player, that’d add a level of fun (currently I just text who ever I am playing). No Handle!. Does this even work for iPhone 6? No matter what I do, no handle. It doesn't matter how I turn the phone - slow, fast, always no handle. Frustrating. Can't GNR handle just be a finger turn? That would be more realistic.

Oddly addicting. I am not a curling expert, but this is a fun game that makes me want to find out more about the history and strategies of the game. In fact, I wish that mode was built in. Solid fun though.

Really fun, but needs refinement.. Having a lot of fun with it. However there are a few small annoyances. 1. You can't sweep opponents stones 2. You can't control the spin precisely enough, it's all or nothing. Overall a great start, would be great to see a little more work put into it. P.S. - love the fast forwarding!!!

Good but could be better. Likes: Physics seem good What could be better: - I want to be able sweep opponents throws - I want to be able to set how much to spin the rock - a live updated velocity meter would be very helpful to judge how throw is doing going down the ice - the team who scored the end should not get the hammer I guess overall I wish that I could throw more reliably so that I could have more fun with the strategy side of it. With some practice I have gotten better, but still seems that the interface is not giving all the tools I need

Easy opponent mode ?. I’m trying to learn game but easy opponent mode does not make any mistakes. I’m not that good but easy al kicks my butt all the time very frustrating. Have easy al make a mistake once in a while.

Terrible game. Unable to spin and limited control of this game. Needs updating ASAP.

Poor interface. The game is great it works fine and I love to play it. Interface is terrible trying to get the game is not intuitive, doesn't update properly. Once you figure out idiosyncrasies it is usable.

Playing online doesn't seem to work. I just downloaded this because of the ability to play with people on-line (which "Age of Curling" does not support for some reason). But i have not been able to get the on-line play to work. All it does is say I am an unauthenticated user, and does not allow me to do anything or change any settings. If they fix this I will give it 5 stars as the rest of the game is pretty solid.

Great app!!. Can't put it down. Took a few rounds to learn draw weight. Very realistic physics. Worth the money.

Texas. This app makes me not wish Home so much. Simply a great app I only wish I could sweep the competitor stones behind the tee line.

I'm in love with this game!. Always loved watching Curling in the Olympics. This game gives you a great feel, and appreciation for the game of Curling. Oh bye the way it's also a heck of a lot of fun to play.
