Usage of My Doctor Online app. This has been an amazing app so easy to use to make appointments make doctor visits and things like that. It’s easy to navigate. I really appreciate being able to use it.

Almost great. Overall pretty good app with decent features. However, there is room for improvement with reliability (frequent snags, unavailability), speed (takes a long time to load content), simplify user interface (too much clutter, looks like it has been built in piecemeal over time and needs a new unified concept). Also inflationary use of notifications for non-urgent things and too many bureaucratic forms and questionnaires to fill for the customers (and associated flood of reminders).

Kaiser is the greatest. I’m just singing a few praises for the whole Kaiser experience. I’ve been a patient in all aspects of the word. I’ve had surgeries and regular care and even had an emergency for my heart attack. I’m here to tell you all, there is no place as efficient, knowledgeable, caring and full of cheerful people eager to help. Thanks ever so, keep doing what you do!

My doctor app is big help. This app has come a long away since it was first made available, it gets better and better all the time— very impressive. I would much rather use it than the computer interface, or make numerous phone calls—saves lots of time. Thanks.

Dr. Brar. He has been my family doctor for a few years now. I got my brother and sister-in-law with Dr. Brar, and he actually saved my brothers life because he had cancer and was told by his other doctor. It was only a bladder infection thank God for our doctor Brar,. he’s always so kind and helpful and always creates a plan for me and that works great. He checks in with me and I’m grateful to have him as my doctor.

I love Kaiser. I know a lot of folks who doesn’t like Kaiser but personally myself, I actually really like Kaiser I can get all my needs met in one place. It’s convenient very easy and usually hardly no wait time for prescriptions. I will never go to any other insurance company. Kaiser has my business

Referral for CT scan. Dr. Muzaffar, my internist, referred me for a CT scan after my chest x-ray revealed that something needing further investigated. My chest x-ray was taken late Friday afternoon and Monday afternoon I was contacted by the Imaging department with several appointment choices. That is excellent inter-departmental coordination between my physician and Imaging. I am most grateful to my physician to act so promptly. Marianne Nemeth

So convenient. So convenient. Doctor does referral and request to schedule shows up. Quickly schedule online. And then be able to automatically add to your calendar.

Review. Site does not work well on my phone - the questionnaire I am trying to complete won’t let me complete - even after trying 12 or 13 times - emails not coordinated well with “app” Messy - too busy a site.

Easy to use. This Kaiser app is so easy to maneuver through. But, I don’t feel that doctor appointments over video is a safe practice in most cases. I realize Covid made this necessary 3 years ago but it is time to treat illnesses in person now.

My doctor online is a marginal success. Still , after many many years and KP having laid off about 500 people in IT, the fact remains that my dictir online is just a fantastic goal and objective . Of course such objectives are not realized without the time and experts to make things work . Sadly, the self promotion process in media by KP perhaps drains too much money from the budget for them to finally finish this blending of computer and cell phone ( smart phone) technology . In the RARE instances that my Doc online actually works as intended and designed , it can be and sometimes is GREAT . Unfortunately this isn’t the case on a constant and miles or another half century away given the factual nature of the product as an “ app” . If you expect less , you could be safely prepared. If expect a great thing from first uses, you will surely be disappointed and annoyed . Dumbest of dumb errors they made was restricting or denying the patient ability to “ e mail my doctor”. That was never true e mail and the elimination of that ability is indicative of the fact that they have major issues to fix, repair, expedite, cure and resolve . Oh yes you can call but you will usually have 30 minutes listening to poorly selected Muzak or music I’ll take elevator music instead . You also will have to explain things four times to the Bozo ESL human types who answer their phones. Good luck , pal , you need it !

I don’t understand why this isn’t part of the main KP app. This app itself seems fine. But I don’t understand why this is not part of the normal, standard KP app. Why do I need two different apps for my Kaiser Permanente information? Now, if I want to check messages from my doctor, I apparently need to open up two different apps to look at them, and so on. This doesn’t make much sense. They also show different things: the main KP app correctly shows that I recently got a flu shot, but this app is recommending that I schedule one.

I love the app. I use this app all of the time. I take more than a few medications, and ordering online and having them come by mail is great. The video visit option is handy for those follow ups or when I don’t need to drive in and park, etc. It’s nice to email with my doctor, too. Handy indeed.

easy to use. The e visit option is annoying- it’s clearly a bot going by an algorithm- which is annoying if you have any health literacy and something beyond a basic question. They are clearly trying to steer you away from speaking to an actual human. But I like that they bring most of kaisers app functions into one app

Good app, but lacks of basic features.... Yes the app is not bad, but could be so much better. It can also be very frustrating. Here a few examples: If you go to past appointments, you only see like 6 or 7 appointments, so tap on see more, several times to see the appointment you want to look at, tap see notes, find out it's not the one you want, tap x or refresh, and you go back to the BEGINING of the list, forcing you to go again with multiple taps to go back to your previous place. Why isn't there a search, for a doctor or a string etc.. Same for you doctor messages, why not being able to perform a search. You should also have an export function to download a full message. I have several examples like that and would gladly provide them to the developing team. Actually do they even do usability testing with real kaiser customers? I would also volunteer for this.

Convenient. The My Doctor app is so easy to use and is very convenient! I love having the ability to be anywhere anytime to use the app! All of my health needs for myself and my family puts my mind at ease! Thank you Kaiser Permanente for all the care and professionalism you have put into this ! Forever Grateful Tammy Vargas

Updated - keeps breaking - Can’t get past loading screen. Updated again - it’s been over a month since developer response and no one has gotten back to me since. Every few weeks I have to turn my phone completely off to get this to work. This app is essential for getting prescriptions filled and talking to doctors, yet every couple weeks I just can’t use it at all - FaceID works, then I’m stuck on a spinner indefinitely. The other Kaiser app is not working either, both have been down for a couple weeks.

App is glitchy. The interface is not very thorough. To just read one’s emails it’s not obvious how to get there. Very limited number of characters is allowed once the patient does write an email. App will ask to confirm phone and emergency contacts, address, etc., sometimes even when one just used it less than a day before. It was much worse before. The app has been improved somewhat in the last year or so. It is now better than Kaiser itself, which has many good doctors but some truly awful staff and policies as well. I wish I never had to deal with Kaiser anything again.

Great tool. It’s really great to be able to communicate, make appointments, renew prescriptions, have video visits digitally. I especially like the ability to communicate with providers for non-urgent concerns. I have been using this app for years and it has saved everyone’s time and in some cases travel. I wish I could access all of my data on this app but my medical record and visit notes are only available on the KP app. I would have given it five stars if it could.

Easy and convenient!. I love the My Doctor Online app! It is so easy to use, and there are no wait times. It’s easy to find my appointments, schedule them, reschedule them, etc.. It’s also very easy to order prescriptions, check my health records, I just about anything I need Kaiser related I need.

Works better than I do. Thanks to the multiple reminders by text and email. I am actually able to make it to my appointments. Despite the fact I’m taking enough drugs I can’t remember what was just said.

Hard to call for support. When the app has issues it’s hard to call for support for it. Tried resetting the password online. Though the the reset is successful, you can’t sign in on the app with the new password and will task you to call support and nobody is answering. I don’t think they have any at all hanging there 24/7. I tried day and night, within office hours…nada!

So convenient. I love that I Kaiser has made communicating with my physicians so easy! I’m able to book video appointments for those times when I don’t necessarily need to have in person contact with my doctors. This was amazingly helpful during the pandemic! I appreciate how easy the whole system is to operate even for an old lady such as myself! Thank you, Kaiser! Keep up the good work!

So User Friendly. I received an email informing me that my doctor has referred me to a specialist. All I had to do was click on the button in the email that redirected me to the MyDoctor Online App. On the homepage there was a message that took me directly to the landing page that allowed me to schedule my appointment. Everything was so easy and quick that I just had to stop and write a review.

Happy with My Doctor Online. Quick, convenient and reliable. I enjoy being able to email my doctors quickly and the interface is easy to use. Also, I really enjoy MY UPCOMING APPOINTMENTS at a glance, it is an excellent way of reminding me and keeping my dates/times organized. This app also masks the cancellation and rescheduling of appointment so delightfully easy. Thank you.

Update killed the app. Tried to order prescription. When trying to go to page to look up the drug, it takes you to a Consent Form for paperless items. At one point a tab popped up for website critiquing and when you click on it takes you to a blank page. Crash several times on me. So totally unable to order prescriptions anymore. It tells you to call the prescription in instead of ordering online. They’re going to be inundated.

Simple, quick and very effective. This is the easiest online/app medical info, scheduling, prescription refill, appointment setting features I’ve ever used! Thank goodness, too, bc I’m not very computer savvy at all! This also makes me fill that I’m in and have control of all my medical information and needs which is a nice change from the olden days!

Video volume. I love this app, but I have issues with the video volume when having a video doctor appointment. I have checked all the settings and finally had to purchase a speaker. The volume is still quiet, but I can hold the speaker close to my ears so I can hear. I only have this issue with this app.

Easy. I like being able to email and contact my doctor online, especially my primary. My new therapist doesn’t seem to be working out that well. She is very nice and friendly but each time I speak with her (twice). We only speak for about 10 or 15 minutes .. she doesn’t ask many questions. I feel like I have to talk on my own. .. maybe it’s the age gap. I’m 71 and she’s 30.

Issues with updating info and video calls. When answering questionnaires they don’t seem to update on the other end. I always seem have issues with video calls. The assistance can’t see when I’m logged in and the video camera doesn’t always work although I have mic and camera set to allow.

Right knee surgery and rehab. Just want to take a little time and put a thank you out there. I never had Kaiser coverage before and has been my second year. Until recently from last December and much needed surgery that was soon to take place. I want to give Dr. Jibodh a special thank you. From feeling a little timid in the beginning and then had the pleasure to meet Dr. Jibodh for the first time. I was very impressed with him and soon after I was at ease, and thank you. I also want to say and thank everyone that has helped me from appointment check ins, administrative personnel, doctors, nurses and complete Kaiser staff for my care a big thank you. Thank you, Edward

Better and Better. I really appreciate and enjoy the convenience of using this App. It is well designed and easy to navigate. Really like being able to communicate with my doctors when I have a question. Thank you Kaiser.

My Doctor Online- Kaiser:. The recent upgrade has issues that need to be resolved. The older version was working quite well, but this new version tends to shut down, with a message, “Try again later.” When you’re having medical issues and need to schedule appointments, reorder medication, send secure messages to your doctor, or look up lab reports, constant “try again later” messages delay the process of taking care of your health needs. Tech needs to get these issues fixed right away. On the other hand, when working well, the updated version seems to be headed in the right direction with ease of finding the correct category for information.

Problems with messaging dr. When I write a message to a doctor it will behave as if sent but when I next go to write a message it will bring up a draft of the sent message saying it was not delivered. If I send that one then there are duplicates. This has been happening for awhile now perhaps since the last update. Also the past appointments section does not load. The paperless option pops up and when I say “ask me later” it immediately pops up again. Generally the app helps facilitate what’s needed and I prefer it to having to get on the website. These glitches have been bothersome enough to come her to make a comment in the hope it will help promote a fix.

Update to fix app crashes is crashing my app. Hi all. This app has been great for years! Unfortunately, after last weeks update to fix app crashes, my app won’t open. It just stays on the blue KP opening page. Please fix. I use the app all the time I’d love to be able to get back into it. Thank you!

Appointments. I’m about to leave Kaiser. I’m having a big problem and I can’t get an appointment with my doctor until May 15. That’s why I don’t go to the doctor cause you never get an appointment when you’re sick by the time the appointment comes around you’re not sick anymore this is ridiculous. Something needs to be done about this.

This is unnecessary. I would like to take the time to say having to download a whole other app and sign in and give confirmation codes is pointless. Complete lack of understanding that no one would like to have to download a completely separate app just to cancel or reschedule. The link from the Kaiser Permanente app SHOULD in my opinion take you to their online services on their website. Instead of having to play games and have two apps on your phone you rarely use and when you do it is nothing but connection issues. Half the time I leave notes or messages to my doctor on the app and they have ZERO idea of what I’m talking about when I arrive.

Excellent Service. Time is important! The options provided thru my Doc on line is visual, you see more than one option in seconds and can make a decision quicker! I love the email option too! Kaiser’s whole format is more efficient than other medical apps outside Kaiser. Kaiser will always be my provider! I sing your praises at every opportunity!

Sign in Issue. Since I changed my password it will only work on Kaiser’s Website and not on the app. I’ve checked my saved password to see if it was wrong, but it is correct. I even tried keying it in and checking at different times of the day and evening. Kaiser wants me to check in to my appointments using the app. The clerk working at the check in desk told me she had an IT issue with hers that took 2 Years to resolve. Ugh! Any suggestions to how to resolve the issue before my demise. New password was sent by IT through snail mail. Which was something I told them not to do, the new one I already had worked on the website. Once they issued a new one, I was cut off for a week. I received over 14 emails directing me to the website which was unavailable! I had appointments, messages from Drs., billing, an RX to order, and lab results. I was forced to call on the glitchy phone system. 8 calls later I got 2 things done. My RX didn’t come by mail, even though I talked to pharmacy. It required another call, and having someone else pick it up, because I became too sick to go. New password words online like the old one, but not on the new and updated app. Today the app doesn’t even load. More work needed.

Adding children to moms app.. I would just like to say that Kaiser and the world need to “get with it”!! Ideally, I would have loved to be married with two kids just like the whole world is right? WRONG!! I myself have two beautiful children with two separate and different fathers, who have both been ordered to provide health coverage for their children via the department of child support. One of my kids gets Medi-Cal and the other has Kaiser paid directly by her dad. He however, is not a Kaiser member and uses his free VA benefits instead. So the problem I have is, that Kaiser does not allow the custodial parent to add her children in the MyDr app because I’m not the account owner. This is very frustrating as a mother who has 100% physical custody and care of her kids and still can’t possibly get allowed ACCESS to her child's medical information and can’t utilize the “app” for BOTH CHILDREN! I have 50/50 legal custody of my children but I don’t have the ability to add my child to the app because I’m not the one who pays for the membership??????!!!!!!! Please fix this and allow the custodial parent to add her kids to the app. So maybe I can get her appointment reminders and prescription refills instead of the “dad” who doesn’t “do” anything except pay for the insurance!!! Ty.

Kaiser Lincoln CA. I like this facility and it’s placement close to where I live. It’s new and accommodates the number of people in area. It can be very busy with parking lot full but there is room inside. It is very clean. In general Kaiser has been very good for me and my family. I highly recommend it. One stop shop!

Why 2 apps?!. It works fine but why have your own app when there is also the main Kaiser app? NorCal dells like they need their own and be separate? I'm confused on what app to use and for what. Guess my point is that this app feels unnecessary when there's a main app.

Appreciation. I really appreciate being able to reschedule an appointment so easily on My Doctor Online. It’s so simple to just press ‘reschedule’ and set up another appointment after canceling one. I don’t have to wait to get the right person on the phone and the person from Kaiser can be used to help with more pressing needs of members.

Prescription feature is buggy. I don’t know if they removed the ability to order prescriptions through the phone app. Earlier I was able to order through the phone. But last 2 times I logged on (in a span of a month), I can not see list of medications. And when I click on Review and order your active medications, it doesn’t show any meds there! I have to get on my computer and do this!!! With a busy life it’s an annoyance!

Health Care. I would not be as Health as I am today if I didn’t have all the contacts I receive from Kaiser Permanente!! Dr Zhornitskiy , Dr Thompson, Cardiology. Instant appts when needed from Lab and all other appts. My Doctor online gives me access to all my Health Care needs with in 10 mins. Preventive care, Appointments, order meds to be mailed and summaries always of my health and care!! Thank You

Doctor online amazing. Love to be able to reach my doctors right away and know I will get a response from them in 24 hours!! I can view medical records, read articles about health and get answers to my questions.

Another broken update.. You can’t get your doctors appointment added to your local calendar anymore. It use to be obvious, then it was hidden in a link to to time/date displayed on the appointment card… now that’s broken and the only option is to launch a new email with the appointment details filled in. But Kaiser’s top-notch IT team wasn’t done yet, oh no, they found a way to break the filter that detects date/time information in apple mail somehow so you have to fill in half the details yourself, like some kind of peasant.

Rediculous. I had a rash break out on my face 2weeks ago. After trying a few days to deal with it myself (and it spreading and causing my under eye to swell) I made an appt-for 3 days later-earliest I could get in) with a primary care dr—NOT my dr just a random dr who had an available time. I went directly from work so I had on full face makeup to cover the rash. This dr stood 5 feet away from me and leaned a bit toward me and diagnosed rosacea (?). I’ve been to a dermatologist enough to know they remove any makeup over the area, use a very bright light and a magnifying lens to check the rash out before they prescribe some medication that can have side effects. When I requested to see a dermatologist she prescribed a an oral medication and told me if it wasn’t gone in 10-14 more days call back. When I requested AGAIN to see a dermatologist because IT IS NOT ROSACEA, she referred me to an online derm appt. First off, if my car breaks down, I do not call a refrigerator repair person. I call a car repair person. And I don’t send them photographs of what the problem is. THIS IS AWFUL MEDICAL PRACTICE! Thank god it was a rash and not cancer!!! I healed the rash with Allegra and vaseline. Now That it’s all but gone, 2 1/2 weeks later, I have an appt scheduled with an online dermatologist for a week from now…great =\

Review. I appreciate being able to do so much online instead of having to wait on hold for ages waiting to speak to the right person.

User friendliness /limitations. 1) App choices are not user friendly even though I have some knowledge in web technology (but not a tech savvy) and I work at Kaiser, meaning I know where to find things. For my elderly patients who are not that familiar with technology, it’s hard for them. 2) phots can’t be attached more than 3 attachments at a time. 3) cannot email to multiple providers at once for the same message. I had to copy/paste my message to send to another provider. Extra work for me! 4) “Reply” to a provider function has a limited time frame. If I don’t keep the email thread going, I cannot “reply” to the provider after (I’m guessing) a week? I have to start a new email.

So easy to use. Thank you Kaiser for letting me perform so many tasks myself without having to call you for assistance.

So convenient. Love this app everything at the top of your thumb.

Kp is great. In addition to outstanding healthcare kp has great technology that makes my life easy.

Great service I’m glad I can talk to my doctor with out making a trip to his office.. Gram

Easy to use. This app is easy to use and has all the info I need in one handy place.

Review. User friendly, informative.

Love it. This makes scheduling or rescheduling so easy. Thanks so much Kaiser IT team. You folks rock.

Much Improved!. Happy to say Kaiser has greatly improved @ I am now happy w/ their services !

Easy to change an appointment. Easy to use

Dr info online. Dr. Emberton is very thorough & prompt in sending valuable & helpful info to me about any questions or problems I have. Thank you for that.

App is recently buggy won’t allow keyboard to pop up to sign in properly. Please fix this bug!

Restored confidence in Kaiser Permenente. Thanks to doctors like Dr. Ozoa in the Martinez Spine Clinic and my new primary care doctor Kevin Chen I feel I matter and their response to my recent episode with severe pain has been of great comfort.

Website. Somewhat easy to navigate, even for a non-techs like me. Some times have issues with the website but it’s getting better.

Broken finger:. These doctors will take care of you IF you let them!

Always crashes. 99% of the time when I open the app it crashes. The longest I’ve been able to stay on there is 30 seconds.

Needs to be Deleted and Reinstalled Many Times. I can never count on this app to work. Most of the time when I try to use it, the login screen is grayed out and just sits there spinning forever until I delete the app and reinstall it. Not worth the effort. Total waste.

Easy. Convenient and easy way to address making appointments.

Rescheduling. The Kaiser Permanente app is amazing. I love the ability to schedule or reschedule my medical appointments. Thanks for all you do for us.

Rescheduling. I’m finding that rescheduling my appointments is convenient and easy using this app.

Very easy to use. They have improved this app to make it super easy to use. I can get in and out very quickly. I like it!!

Poor communication. I asked for a vaccination appointment. I never received a message about checking the KP app for appointment options. A couple of days after no response I went on the KP app and found a number of appointment options but no explanation what the appointment options were for. I just presumed they were probably for a time to get the vaccination I requested.

On-line Doctor/ Patient Communication. Very convenient and helpful way to have consultation with doctor. Saves time for doctor and patient

Apt comment. Convenient and very easy to use.

Got the Tech Right. Your tech gurus are doing a great job giving us greater access to great health care. Ease of appointments and information is much appreciated

So convenient. This app gets better day by day

LOVE Kaiser online app!. My Doctor Online is very convenient and sooo user friendly. Awesome!

I used to be able to use the face unlock. I used to be able to use the face recognition unlock but since I updated the latest version it wants me to put a user I d and password every time I miss the old quicker access

Online doctors. It is very convenient to use this service I really enjoy it

Easy to schedule referral specialty appointments. I appreciate that I am able to schedule appointments for different appointments online. It’s very convenient.

My Doctor on Line. What a great app. So user friendly. Thank you.

My doctor online app. Referencing date Dr or topic in the header of notification email would help to keep all these messages straight

Glitchy.. This is the most unreliable app I have. I’d delete it except Kaiser refuses to use email. It doesn’t open reliably. Or it opens and then immediately closes. Video call works maybe 1 out of 10 tries. Same experience on my iPad and on my wife’s phone, so it’s not just me. When it works, it’s helpful. But so unreliable!!

KP App review. It’s always so easy to use the KP App to send messages to my Dr and care team. Booking appointments, using the Pharmacy and reviewing test results. Love it! 5 stars ⭐️

My doctor. My doctor is very sincere and shows that she really cares which gives me confidence in whatever advice she would give me.

Convenient. I really like the Kaiser Permanente app It’s convenient and it has everything thing I need in one place.

Utilizing Mykaiser Mobile. Doesn’t kick you off if you take too long to enter something.

Unnecessary upgrades?. I’m suddenly unable to use the my doctor online app. When I try to sign in I’m told that “this version of the app is no longer supported”. But I can’t upgrade. Endless loop, can’t access the app. Don’t feel like spending $500 for a newer phone just to use the app!

Useless if you are a transfer. It’s absolutely useless if you have already had a plan with South Cal. It doesn’t open the app and prompt you to login through the web page. On the web page it prompt you to use the app.

Easy to use. I like the ease of using the app. Quite a time saver.

This version (7.3.1) of the app crashes after login. This app is not stable. It is preventing me from accessing medical service today, and after 24 hours of support calls, they are having me reinstall and try other devices. The app crashes after login. Every time.

New version terrible. Old version I used regularly. This latest update is so bad I can’t even get logged in. No keyboard pops up when try to sign in. Before that started it shut down multiple times when I was trying to use it when my 91; year old father in ER. Last thing I needed. Just went back to using browser

The best!. So appreciate the My Doctor app! Really put together well, easy to use, much simpler to get things done than going online. Thanks

Unusable because of display issues. Unfortunately this app is unusable for me because it doesn’t display things like the dates and times when scheduling an appointment. If they fix this, I’m happy to up my rating.

Love this app. It is so easy to see exactly where to go for May appointments! And today I had to reschedule an appointment, so easy!

Schedule. Convenient and user friendly!!!

Scheduling lab test. This platform is very easy to use and there is always a spot available. Thanks for placing this very helpful appt. Menu for us to use!

Ear wax removal. My Doctor Edwards is an amazing, old fashion, with your best interest in mind kind of Doctor! Thank you Dr Edwards for your continued treatment of any issue that arises with me. May God’s blessings be yours in all you do!

Very customer friendly.. Very customer friendly. Easy to navigate

Always locks me out. The functions are useful but this app cannot authenticate me consistently. I always have to reset my password and when I do it says it can’t do it right now. Terrible reliability for an app that is about people’s medical needs! Get it together!
