The most inconsistent app ever. This app is better than nothing. It works sometimes and it at least shows me where bus stops are and what buses stop there (though this info is wrong a lot). The times are more or less close to the actual times give or take 15 minutes. However this app often screws up entirely. I currently am sitting in the freezing cold waiting for a bus that this app said has arrived and left 4 tunes despite it never having passed by. NO bus has passed by, not even going the other direction. This is a problem I have often with the app. Basically the app has a more or less a good approximation of bus times between 9-6. Before and after that it’s a free for all. I’d like to add that even when there’s NO TRAFFIC the times are still WILDLY inaccurate.

University of Delaware bus. Having the buses location shown is helpful but need to have time list of when the bid is supposed to arrive not just say it comes every 10-15 mins. Should also have a tutorial of how to use the app when it’s first downloaded because as a first time user it was very confusing.

Low quality. The app tracks buses and it’s OK at that, although sometimes there is considerable lag between the app and reality. If you leave the app for a second and then return to it (e.g, say you get a phone call or a text or want to check email), it often (maybe always) freezes and you have to restart it to get the bus position. It will look like all buses have stopped moving. The estimated time for a bus to arrive is nearly alway wrong. Overall this is a low quality app.

Horrible. The app consistently crashes, does not stay up to date with busses, and overall just works so poorly. Every time I click on the bus route information, the app crashes. Every time I click on the stop information, it crashes. Every time i do anything, it crashes. This isn’t even taking into consideration how inaccurate it always is. The app will say “5-8 minutes away” for about 15 minutes and then no bus ever shows. It just does not update. The entire software system needs to be updated so the app can do what it says it’s supposed to.

Saved me from freezing at a bus stop. I use this app in Rochester, MN. Like I saw in another review, they are sometimes horrible at keeping to their own schedule. This has saved me from having to stand at a stop for 15 minutes in sub-zero temperatures. As long as they remember to turn on their transponders, it works like a charm!

Not responsive enough. This app is not bad when compare to transloc which is really good. Sometimes the reaponse is very bad and the most annoying thing is the zoom out function which happens automatically when i zoom in and see the shuttle... i have to zoom in many times just to look at the real time position

Very useful!!!. This is an amazing app that helps me find the best routes in real time. I don’t know what I would do without this very helpful application. I do hope they even more Metro Systems get added to this awesome app! This app would most definitely be even more useful if they had the Metro Systems of Laredo/Corpus Christi/Wichita Falls, and many other great routes across Texas and other states. One app for a live feed and route... that’s a great app!!!

Invaluable but flawed. It is difficult to rate the app fairly because it is easy to try and depend on it. Most times the app gives a fairly accurate estimate of a buses arrival, but occasionally it over or under estimates - which can be frustrating. Latency in the app could be product of phone service or network connection, but it is uncertain. Overall a very useful tool.

Monroe Transit. This app is a wonderful help in locating the correct routes needed, and the current location of the bus for that specific route. Extremely helpful in planning your day and still getting to the right place at the right time!

Really loving this Beta App, hoping my City accepts it.. I hope my City of El Paso accepts this app because I find it very helpful & useful to use! Keep up the great work, its just a couple of minutes behind, from the actual Trolleys but once you know this, the preparation time is fluid with the Trolley time. Maybe this time difference can be stated on your app information? But it truly is a great app! Thanks a lot!

Complete Trash. Today marks the third time this week i've missed a bus because the "time to arrival" feature is bugged. Mine is a college bus system so a missed bus means i'm either late to class or risking parking on campus for $100 in towing. The old rider app worked fine but they've forced us to install this and it's garbage. I'm better off showing up to my bus stop an hour before class and just waiting instead of trying to be efficient using this program.

Pretty Good, but could be better. This app is pretty accurate at showing where the bus is and that is really helpful! One thing that drives me crazy is that it doesn't keep my preferences in between uses. I mostly only ride one route and somehow other routes get turned back on for viewing on the map when I haven't used the app in a while.

Very buggy doesn’t refresh properly. I’ve missed the bus several times because even if I have the app open, it does not refresh the bus locations consistently. Super buggy, stops often don’t load when I click on them. Hard to see the direction of the routes so I have no idea which way the bus goes after it leaves the stop if it overlaps with the return route for the same bus

you will miss class bc of this app**. Besides the fact that it has a live bus tracker, that is usually not accurate, none of the bus schedule times ever match up with when the buses are actually getting you. It could say a bus is supposed to pick you up at noon and you won’t see a bus even parked waiting to leave until 12:30. there’s gonna come a point where they actually have to make a change and update the app regularly because it is ridiculous how inaccurate this app is for the amount of users on it.

Good app, but bad details.. I find this app so helpful and essential to getting around my college campus. But there are a few things that make this app a little inconvenient. There isn’t a real-time ETA. meaning when a shuttle stops to take a break, or is waiting for the seats to fill up, it’ll stay say 5/6 minutes until it reaches the next stop, when in reality it may take 20 minutes. I find this to be the biggest issue, and it can really make or break my day, especially in the after hours. The app also doesn’t list if the shuttle is going to its last stop either , so when you’re waiting for a shuttle, it might suddenly shut down. Alerts for certain shuttle stops would also be helpful.

Meh. Bus will be here in 0-1 minute. Suddenly, bus will be here in 12-14 minutes. THEN it changes to 23-25 minutes. Eventually the bus appears at my stop without warning. I run to catch it, only to watch it drive away. I was already extremely late. This crap didn't happen before this update. Update: bumped up a star. Seems like they fixed this problem, which I really appreciate! But times are still inaccurate. It'll tell me 10-12 minutes. Check the app three minutes later... and the bus is leaving my stop. This has happened multiple times. This review is for CityBus of Lafayette.

Great concept, Poor execution. DoubleMap is a very helpful app. I use it many times a day. However, the user interface is atrocious. For example, when zooming in on specific locations of the map, the app will automatically zoom out as soon as you take your hands off the screen and re-center the map to show all the routes. I have spent minutes zooming in on the same location over and over to monitor a bus’s route because DoubleMap implemented what seems to me to be a useless feature. There are other examples of things like this on the app, but for me this is the most annoying. Also, heads up, the route times within the app are based on a schedule, not the actual buses, so if a bus is running early or late the times are useless. I never use them. In summary, I really like DoubleMap (great concept), but it is extremely frustrating (poor execution).

Inaccurate often. Not all of the buses in my city have their location on so it’s difficult to know where they’re at and if they’re close to my stop. The buses also do not update always for stops, which, in conjunction to their locations being turned off, does not help. Sometimes I will be waiting for a bus and not see it on the map but it’ll show up right in front of the stop.

Needs a couple improvements. There are a couple features I would add to this app. The first is notifications that alert us when the bus is within a certain distance of a selected stop. Second, make bus routes always visible, even when the buses aren’t running.

Great app for tracking the bus. I use this app almost every day and I love it. I can plan when to leave my house and get to the bus stop within 1-2 minutes of when the bus arrives, every time. Obviously traffic, weather and driving styles will affect the exact time that the bus arrives at any stop (as anyone who has ever driven a car will know), but the GPS tracker helps make up for any discrepancies in the scheduled and actual arrival times. Occasionally, the GPS tracking data is unavailable, which is disappointing if you have become dependent on the app, but this is pretty rare, and you can just revert to using the time schedule in those cases.

“STOP DETAILS NOT AVAILABLE” yet uninstalling fixed it. I don’t know why this app isn’t displaying the times for the routes in Bloomington transit, my previous phone had no problems from day 1 w DoubleMap. If this issue is fixed I will gladly rate 5 stars!! Please fix this issue w iPhone compatibility or whatever the car my be!

Mixed performance. Handy app when it works. But it has a tendency to add routes I had not selected after some time away from app. Deleting and redownloading hasn't helped. Dev shd also consider making path from route selection to map a quick and simple process, like with a dbl-tap or swipe or something. Feels a bit inefficient having to go back into the menu to then select map (not to mention a touch slow).

Needs a notification system. I think this app would be better if there was some way to be notified when the bus is heading towards the stop where you wish to be picked up. What would be ideal is the ability to pin a location so you would then be notified when the bus passes the designated pin. It is frustrating to have to constantly watch the map to know when to start heading towards the pickup location. Otherwise, I think the app is very useful.

Pleasantly surprised. App installed and works with no glitches or issues. Very accurate. I can use it to predict when the bus will come around the corner and into view within seconds. Let’s me know if I need to rush to get to the stop or not.

I use both DoubleMap & TransLoc to meet my needs. Each of the above apps does something better than the other & I need to switch off between them both to get the full picture of what’s going on with the buses. TransLoc is more accurate about where the bus REALLY is instead of merely reflecting where it’s SCHEDULED to be. But I think there was a function in DoubleMap that lists exact intersections for bus stops. So I use them both.

Best App for SMART Bus in Starkville. This is the best thing the parking services invested in. I love the live time of where the buses are. I love the accuracy. It’s helpful, because on the days you don’t feel like taking 15 minute walks across campus, the bus will be there for you. The map is easy to read and I appreciate the label of each bus route.

Downloading the app doesn't help terrible bus service. Many busses on campus don't show up on the app. Drivers nor customer service carewhen you report it. Also - the driver's don't follow citibus spacing rules or timelines (they WILL stop running early with NO warning) - even when they show up on the map, all you will see is clumps of busses no where near where they should be based on the schedule. Myself and others have complained directly to TTU and citibus - neither made any notable improvements. Just park in tech terrace and walk.

Works Great, Accuracy OK. The application is easy to use and works great for tracking private Northwestern & Lurie Children’s shuttles. Only issue preventing this app from getting 5 stars is the location accuracy which is typically off by 1-2 blocks. This is a bit less than I would expect with a modern GPS system. App sill works more than good enough for me even with the accuracy limitations. Thanks.

Please fix the bug of cannot display buses. Location: West Lafayette Problem: unable to see the bus’s real location and the exact position of each stop, besides, some bus lines disappear from the route list

Works extremely well. A lot of people have problems with the times being off for the estimates, but are forgetting that the given times are just that: estimates. The app can't know if the bus is going to hit traffic or hit all green lights either. I always press on my stop, see what the estimated arrival is, and show up a few minutes early. Works beautifully

There should be an Apple Watch app. This app has improved greatly from a year ago. It was almost unusable at times but now it runs much smoother. My one comment is that I would strongly recommend that an Apple Watch app was made! Please! This would be very convenient and save much time on my way to class

This IS a great app BUT. I’m very thankful that this app is available and I know this app has nothing to do with the buses time of stops and so on but I would love it if this app could save my favorite places and the app doesn’t offer notifications with any announcements or closings or even delays. But I love the gps tracker for it.

One Flaw but a big one. I would give this app five stars, but it is missing overall route times. I need to know what times a bus gets to a location ahead of time. I also need to know what the last time a bus will run or be at a location. I should be able to press a route and see its schedule for the day.

Exactly the bus tracker that’s needed. The only negative is that it doesn’t always work when the bus has no cell signal due to passing through mountainous/rural areas, so it would be good if the app could extrapolate based on last known position and speed.

Never miss the bus again. The only thing that would make this app better is if you could have it ping you when your boss is turning a certain corner or getting to a certain spot. The only negative thing I can say it’s not about the app it’s self. It just works better when the bus drivers remember to put on their GPS!

Needs to be accessible for the blind. I have a friend who is blind and has a service dog and relies on the buses to get around. He uses the voiceover on his iPhone which tells him what we see. He is very frustrated with trying to use the app because he feels it should have the voice option since he can’t see where the buses are on the app. Would be great if the developers could work on that!

Not Dependable. For Ann Arbor, Michigan, this app consistently displays buses that are out of service without mentioning that fact, leading myself and others to depend on a bus that was never going to pick us up. Additionally, it displays seemingly random times for when buses will be at stops that jump around significantly without warning. Over all, while it's useful to use this app to find out what routes are running, it is not reliable.

Best App for City Bus. Friends, this app is truly the best app for the City Bus of Lafayette, Indiana because of the live bus tracker. Unfortunately, due to the complete disregard to their own time table, the city bus will arrive at your bus stop at its own free will. Friends, Double Maps shows you where the bus really is so you don't have to feed into the lies that are scheduled daily. My only comment is the time estimator on Double Maps is equally as corrupt as the bus schedule itself. "0-6 minutes" it says, just wait five more minutes to see, in fact, that there is no change and the bus will still be arriving in "0-6 minutes"... So friends, This isn't about the supposed functionality of this app, but rather the deception and corruption that we are subjected to by our local transit system.

Good app, but I like the old version better. After updated to the latest version, I realized that choosing a route and going back to map now takes more steps than before. I would love the feature of "choose - go back to map with the chosen route". Other than that, this helps a lot with catching buses and going to classes.

Use it daily. I use it daily to check the bus schedule to campus and back home, it’s super helpful when determining whether I should wait for the next bus or just keep walking to be on time to class. Usually fairly accurate, I’ve had little to no problems with the app itself or interacting with it.

Bus routes not shown In off hours!. It is very important to me to plan out my bus travel routes the night before I’m going to go on a bus trip. However this app displays absolutely nothing when the buses aren’t running! It doesn’t display the path they take, and it doesn’t display the stops that I need to see to plan my route. No information at all is shown for the routes outside of the hours that the buses run. Hugely Disappointing 😿 But I do like the GPS, and the list of stops for each route. I can’t speak to the accuracy yet, since I haven’t tried out the app yet while the buses are running.

Pretty reliable. Shows the exact location of the bus most of the time however certain busses for my campus are not on the map which can be frustrating and it is hard to tell what direction the bus is heading when it is stopped. Overall a good app.

Allows tracking of family member.. We live on the south side and receive visits from a family member who lives on the north side. We can follow the bus our loved one is on and plan accordingly in rain or sunshine whether to provide a support ride or not when getting off the bus. Great app!

Best Thing Ever. Never Get Rid Of.. I am eternally grateful that Rochester, MN, participate in this app and that this app even exists. I have crippling anxiety and never thought I’d ever be able to ride a bus. Or even hold down a job again. I can barely read a bus schedule. I suffer a panic attack trying. THIS APP makes riding a bus, makes me having a job possible. Thank you. Thank you so much. Keep up the great work!!!

Time Saving App. I would love to give this app a five. But there is a problem with it. Every so often the app will add all available routes to my list. It just takes a few clicks to revert it. But it’s still a bit of a pain. But other than that this is a FANTASTIC app! It saves me time everyday. I’m always on time to catch bus without running and I’m never out too early. Perfect for bad weather days!

Works when the Bus drivers activate the GPS. This app can be very helpful for knowing how close your bus is to your location. But that is only when the bus drivers put their GPS on! It is the afternoon on a week day and I currently see no buses on their routes. So I have no idea if my bus is on its way to my stop. This is a common occurrence and why I’m rating the app three stars.

Sort of does what it's supposed to do. The app is good for checking out routes and getting an estimate on your time, but random routes will reopen themselves without your input, buses will disappear completely from the map, and arrival times for stops don't take into account any other bus schedules, so if a bus stops somewhere for an extended period of time, there will be no correction on the app. It would be really great if this app could include bus schedules. This app is useful but very inconsistent.

Awesome app. This is a fantastic app! No longer do you need to worry about missing the bus. You can see exactly where it is in the map. Living in a cold weather area, this is a fantastic feature. I will say that if the bus is not showing it does cause a little anxiety, but those times are minimal. I would highly recommend and often do!

Great source of bus information when it works. We use it everyday to find out real-time bus location before it gets to our stop. The latest version however seemed to have broken the select route option. I am unable to select a single route option and am forced to select all routes.

Half time it works. This app seams to only work in the AM in Fort McMurray. It never works in the afternoon, no busses show up on it.

Awesome. This map works great because then I don’t have to sit outside forever to wait for the bus

Live image. Seeing the bus in real time, heavy cloud cover not withstanding, is such a great way to catch a bus. Like showing the kids that the app knows where the bus is!

Deceptive take on location permissions. It will take “when using” as “when installed on the device” and always track your location.

Focus on Map, not Timetable. App is fine, wish the timetables were more accurate for SF shuttles. But at least you can use the map and see where it is.

Eh, it can be helpful *if it’s working*. This app is helpful in knowing when the bus you need is coming but I often find that it doesn’t load right or it takes a long time to load and it makes me miss my bus thinking it won’t be there yet

Can’t See All Routes!! 😡. I need one specific route and it never appears active or driving and I miss my bus frequently because it comes & passes too early. I hate waiting outside for a bus that never comes, and then I’m late. I delete and reinstall the app and same result. Thanks for nothing DoubleMap. Un-downloading. 👎🏽

Great, when it works. I use this app during the week. It allows me to see when my bus is coming to a stop near me. But every once in a while it won’t show me the bus loop I’m interested in or it won’t show me the ETA of my bus. This is frustrating as i’ve missed my bus before.

Does not show all routes with stops.... Love the concept but wish it showed all the routes with stops and had updated notifications if a bus was going to be late as they often are.

Lag. Fantastic for keeping track of buses for when they are off schedule. Problem is, DoubleMap is down frequently and has a serious lag between the location the map and the actual location of the bus in the street or it freezes.

App Keeps Crashing. Every time I try to open the app to see what all the stops are for a particular route, it crashes. That’s not helpful, especially since the bus routes have changed. Please fix this problem.

Love this app!. This app is great to track the school bus, but also there’s a bug where it thinks I’m in Africa and will keep autofixing to it instead of letting me see where the bus actually is on the map

Busses?. They have a mind of their own, I tell you. They come and go as they please, and legend has it if you track them, they all begin to come for you.

Needs an update!. This app gets me all the basics. But it’s missing so much more. It lags in updating the location of the bus! It would be highly useful to give an ETA of the incoming bus or even anticipated times period!

Works great for Bloomington Transit. Always displays bus locations accurately and stays up-to-date well. Works like a charm! Now, if only the same could be said of the buses themselves...

Life saver. This app is a life saver, the bus system was so intimidating to me before I found out about this app. The fact I can track the bus on the map is the best part!

Unreliable. The bus tracking gets stuck or simply doesn’t show the bus. I give it two stars because I want it to work and I’ve seen it work on occasion but it’s not something you can depend on. Also, the preferences are not very flexible and I end up seeing routes I don’t care about even though I never selected them and actively switched them off.

Keep crashing. I don’t know why but when I tap on a bus it then crashes the application. It’s never been an issue before, and this is a brand new phone. Please fix this and 5/5 stars.

Love this app!!!. The app works great. Very real time. Really helps me know when I need to leave my house or building. It takes the mental uncertainty out of commuting. Love this app. Will continue to use it!

UH Commuting Student must have. This app is simple and has worked very efficiently since I downloaded it. Takes the guessing out of bus stop times for sure.

Not accurate on Saturday. This is very useful on weekdays - but the Saturday schedule was 20 minutes off. Almost missed my bus and would have had to wait an hour for the next one.

Useful, but broken. Can’t check bus times without the app crashing, also crashes by itself often.

Gets me to work on time. This is a wonderful app that helps me every day. Especially living in a coldest climate where standing at the bus stop in mid-winter is not a fun thing. The app is stable and accurate. Only drawback is when driver forgets to set the route

Fantastic and easy. This app was just released for Oxford, Ohio. I use the bus multiple times a day and this is an absolute lifesaver. Highly recommended by me!

Useful as a College Student. This app is very useful if you're a college student and you need to figure out where the bus is located or how far it is away from the nearest bus stop.

It’s better than nothing. The app serves its purpose 95% of the time. Some mornings my bus doesn’t show on my route. And there’s always that annoying bug. You never know what routes will be selected the next time you go into the app.

So glitchy. App is super glitchy and always times out when I need it to work. Sometimes busses will disappear other times routs won’t show on the map. App lags out as well.

Not accurate. Location and bus often do not match. Almost daily ... example ... app shows bus will arrive 3-5 minutes when at that stop while very next stop (1 block away) the app shows arrival 72-75 minutes yet the stop just after that arrival 1-2 minutes. Contacted this app and told contact bus service. Bus service says contact app. At this point I have given up!!!

Driver with bad attitude. The system is great and the prices are fair, but your driver Robert Montgomery always treats my friends bad when we ride the bus, he has a really bad attitude towards anybody that asks questions or gets enfuriated if you fold your money when you pay to ride the bus. Everything else is great

Poor time & route predictor. I use the app for a university bus service and it incorrectly shows routes and time estimates roughly a third of the time. It does do a good job of tracking bus location and showing routes at peak hours, but it’s unreliable during in-between hours.

Good tool!. I've been using it for about of month and it gives me a pretty good way of knowing when I need to head out to the stop.

VERY GOOD APP. Love the app lug I miss my bus to get to school I'll rae the city bus and this app lets me get ready and i know when I have to b there but one thing I want is ark b notify if the bus is like 5 minutes away it would help out a lot more

Very helpful. Takes away the worry. Provides visibility to my commute, and really helps on a rainy or snowy day when waiting outside can be minimized, or better planned !!

I've use it for quite a long time. Every time it reminds me to rate it, I just click on "Remind me later". Last time I clicked "Don't bother me again" by mistake. Then I heard someone saying this in my brain: Oh... ;(, sorry I didn't notice, I'm so sorry about bothering you. I'll never do this again. I promise. Yeah...I know you won't remember rating me anymore but...yeah...just...bye. ;) Imagination filled me with guilt and impels me here. LOL what an idiot.

Works very well. For my bus system, the app works perfectly. I can watch as my bus gets closer and know exactly when to head out into the cold. Once I used the app in a strange neighborhood to find a bus I normally wouldn't use.

METS Bus System. This is a great map for tracking the METS buses in Evansville , IN. One can see where the bus and it will give one an idea when they need to be at the bus stop. It also shows the bus stops.

Very useful. Even when it's a little off, as it sometimes is, this app makes riding the bus much more convenient.

Good when it works. Half the time the route shows up but no buses do. Not sure if that’s a system glitch or an issue with the actual buses though

Works but not easy at first. Having to deselect the other routes every time I login is a pain. And it wasn't very user friendly at first.

Very Frustrated. It would be nice if the app would work the way it’s supposed to instead of constantly being kicked off after you click to view the actual street the bus is on.

My opinion. This app helps withkeeping you informed on exactly where your bus is. It keeps you from freezing to death or heat stroke while waiting needlessly long at tge stop

Unreliable?. This app used to be great, but now recently DoubleMap has pulled it out from under our feet because they are working on some update and is no longer in use at our school. This was something I relied on all the time for waiting for the bus last semester. Now sometimes I'm stuck waiting well over 25-30 mins for it.

Don’t Leave Home Without It. Perfect app if you ride the bus regularly. Intuitive. Toggle on a few favorites and it’s everything you need without being buried in a bunch of stuff you don’t need.

It has gotten a lot better. Great app overall. It has gotten much better at staying up to date w construction and route changes.

Terrible. This app worked for a little bit but then it’s just completely useless. it doesn’t spite the buses anymore. There was a few month period where the app would just crash and blow half the buses are missing and gives inaccurate times for arrival. and fortune busses that are still on the app, they don’t even show up on the map anymore
