You get a couple days of free meditations and other videos, but after that you have to pay if you want to keep using everything. As much as $98 a year! Was awesome for a day but I’m not paying that much.
The app was wonderful, and it really helped me to relax. I just wish that you could do more without a subscription. I had enough to keep me on new stuff for about a month though, so I would definitely recommend this app!!
I used to love this app it helped me learn and practice meditation and it even helped me get to sleep which I sometimes struggle with but know you must be subscribed and pay money to use this ability not thrilled wish they would realize that they would reach a much higher demographic if they would be free all they way through
I like the app a lot!!
I love how you word things and try to make it very relaxing. I love this app because you can use it anywhere, anytime.
I can’t say enough good things about this app. It changed my life.
I’ve been using Headspace for a year now and have seen an improvement in many aspects of my life. I’m calmer, I have time/ability to pause before I respond to something and most of all I have tools and skills for when emotions/feelings overwhelm me. Andy has taught me how to observe these feelings, take them into context and allow the mind to feel them. He’s also taught me to find a sense of center/calm to come back to. To know they are just feelings and will come and go but who I am at my core will always be me. I am not the feelings that come and go like leaves on the wind. I love the guided packs and they have moved my meditation to new levels and learnings. I also like the sleep sounds when I can’t fall asleep at night. Highly recommend this app for anyone wanting to learn more about meditation, whether you are a beginner or more experienced.
At first I thought meditation was a bit woo woo, but had been hearing good things about it, so decided to give it a try. I didn’t quite get how just “breathing” was going to do anything! Well, how wrong I was! It’s been a couple of years now, and the skills I’m learning have made a profound difference in my life. I used to be at mercy to every passing thought...grasping after the positive and running away from distressing thoughts. The idea of being mindful was completely foreign to me. Then slowly I began working with the Headspace App...in private and in my own timing...and slowly I began to learn very simple, but powerful techniques that have been profound in my life. Noting, neutral thinking, visualization, body scans, acknowledging feelings while not identifying with them...useful techniques I’ve learned that have led to mental strength and toughness. The more I practice the stronger I become. I liken it to the exercises we do with our bodies to build physical strength and toughness. We all know that by doing specific techniques such as jumping jacks, push ups, burpees and squats we build physical strength. So it is with the Headspace App, it has specific meditations that instruct and has the meditator practice skills that build mental and emotional strength. It doesn’t hurt that Andy has such a kind, supportive voice and lovely English accent, either! 😊 No pressure...ever. Kind of like a really good friend.
— and i’m loving this 10-day basic introduction series. just wanted to let you know. if i stick with it, i’ll come back and write more. or i may be so chill that i’ll think my opinion shouldn’t matter because everyone has their own experience, and i won’t write more. either way — the intro meditations have been wonderful.
great app. recommended by my dbt therapist. it’s wonderful for the whole family even! i highly suggest everyone give it a try.
Headspace is a great way to start your meditation experience. Today is the first time I’ve join Headspace/ tried meditating, and Headspace has helped so much. Although it cost to upgrade it also makes sure you have a go for free.
I have never meditated and didn’t know where to start. This app, the voice, the little cartoon characters all make this fun and easy. It took until session 7 of the basic before I started to feel like i understood this. My only advice is to hang in there. It’s worth it.
The thing is this app should work for helping with meditation. The other more important thing is you shouldn’t be paying the ridiculous subscription prices they are demanding for you to listen to them. The meditation sessions are not rocket science and they are all based on the same fundamentals no matter which session you choose. There are cheaper and even free apps that will provide you the exact same results. For example Simple Minds is totally free for any sessions or programmes you choose so why let this app take advantage of you?
Yes it’s good but I get exactly what works for me with my YouTube app and a relax playlist I made on there. And doesn’t cost me anything each month. For those that can afford to spend more than Netflix costs me each month then maybe this will suit. But YouTube has heaps of brilliant creators and it’s all FREE
The best meditation app by far. I’ve just finished the three basics courses and have done a few extra sessions. I think the real winner is in the narrator’s voice. Most meditation apps are distracting due to the tone of the speaker and flow of the spoken word, you can tell a lot of thought and planning has been put into this. Worth every cent.
Upon being introduced to Headspace with the aim to rewiring the way that I view the world, I was sceptical. Within completing the basic sessions on headspace, my world has changed by allowing me to view the way I look at things, interpret and process thoughts. I am hooked. I look forward to my 10 minutes of headspace each day to reset my mind and approach each day with gusto, mindfulness and happiness. I have introduced Headspace to my partner who cannot believe how rewarding the process of meditation has been to her life. A wonderful app which I would recommend to everyone. Awesome Headspace
This app is amazing. It is relaxing and easy, it's good for stress and it's easy. You do not have to have the device on to play the tracks they still play. Overall it is just great
Love this guys voice! Tried a few and it’s the only one I can tolerate! It’s easy to use, helpful and gives good advice.
Headspace is an essential tool for today’s busy lifestyle. I love it.
Worst app I’ve seen in my whole life
I used the basics in this while studying for my final exams when I got overwhelmed, I'm very fidgety and restless as a person so being able to take even 10 minutes to be still and quiet was amazing and calming. Even long after the exams I'm still using it for day to day calm
Personally it really has helped me sleep.. unfortunately not much consideration put into the price of the app as it is very overpriced and I think it would be a lot more popular if it was more affordable. I believe there is a lot of people who need this and would love to have it but simply cant afford it! Disappointing that an app designed for insomniacs, people suffering from anxiety, stress, depression etc anyone who is having trouble putting their minds asleep, is put at such an inconsiderate price when aimed at vulnerable people..
Having to pay for further training is annoying but those available are very good
It’s €13 per month... Why list as free? It’s massively overpriced compared to what’s available.... Needs removing from the free apps section and added to the paid section. Free to download ?... yes Free to use ?...... absolutely not. Grossly misleading on the App Store, Shane on you.
I would not recommend this app as it says that it is free, when in reality it is not! I have to pay to listen to 99% of there meditation and the other 1% doesn’t even help me sleep which is the only reason I downloaded this app. I am unhappy with this app and would not recommend.
At first I thought that meditation was crappy. But now I mainly realize how stupid that was of me, I quite enjoy the feeling of relaxation and letting thoughts pass by and then returning you focus. In my opinion best thing I’ve ever spent time on.
Very good at helping with calmness
Headspace is good for you and I really love it if u are going to use headspace make sure you do one everyday because I feel much better now I would definitely recommend it
Best meditation ever
