Why?. I honestly did not like this whole video interview I would rather be interviewed in person. Talking to my phone is not necessarily something I would like doing I’m a people person. Not everyone wants to sit somewhere quiet starring at a screen I understand you can simply make the video recording not show yourself but you can still see yourself all they do is put a sheer setting over you. Honestly thought it would be like face time or something but no. It really gives us candidates a relatively bad first impression. I thought it’s just lazy and apathetic.

Great way to interview. I had heard about digital interviews, but never experienced it. This was a great experience to interview at a time that was convenient for me. It definitely takes the pressure out of interviewing. The how to instructions were clear and concise. The number of questions were appropriate as were the different response methods. Overall, this is an innovative and practical way to interview.

Not completely satisfied. I have done digital interviews in the past so this wasn’t my first run. But it was my first time using this app. I don’t like the fact that there wasn’t a way to record answers again or pause to give more time to think how you want your answers to be delivered. In my previous experience I was able to do that. I had an unlimited amount of times to re-record and to start over. If I didn’t like the way the answer was going I could easily delete and record again. I was even able to play and watch how I answered my questions to see how it was done and delete and start over if I needed to. This app didn’t offer any of those options except a practice run of questions that weren’t even questions that were asked in the interview. I gave it 4 stars because it still gave me access to do this on my device and record answers and submit my interview digitally. But such an overall disappointment because I don’t think it allows candidates to showcase who they really are.

Great Experience. I had never done a video interview before, but the process was simple and seamless. It was nice that I could do it in my own time. This I believe will be the interview process of the future. It's just a little akward doing, kind of like staring at yourself in the mirror and knowing others are seeing the same thing. Like when you record yourself singing or talking and then listening and thinking that doesn't sound like me at all. I think I look more confident in real life, but maybe I really don't and can work on it.

Very Quick and Easy to Learn. This has to be one of the best video interview programs out there right now. It was very simple and easy to follow. The quality in the camera and videos were very clear. I love the play back and re-record options. So you can always check your progress. Even if your phone dies or shuts off mid-interview everything is saved for you when you get back. Perfect just perfect !!

5 stars for the app, but.... I’m giving this app five stars because of its ease-of-use. I realize that different companies require different aspects of this app, but it worked great for me. I’m not a fan of video interviews. I prefer face-to-face, one on one to be able to connect to my interviewer. But I’m rating this app, not the process.

Great option for a busy Mom!. This is a great option for those with busy schedules or those that do not live close to large cities where many business headquarters are located. It's also a great way for a company to get to know a candidate and to be able to make choices quickly. It saves everyone time!

Great Interview Alternative. I thought this was an efficient way of conducting an interview. The learning video, preparation tips and practice interview session were very helpful in my preparation. Being able to practice as much as possible made me feel more ill at ease. The 30 second preparation time before each actual recording and viewing of your first recording really put you in the driver’s seat to know if your first time through was great or you needed one more chance. A video interview can put you on edge from what you’re used to but after you get going everything flows and before you know it, your done.

Videos don't always record.. The video interviews often don't record. The preview windows are fine and the countdown is fine but once it reaches 1 and removes the countdown and starts recording it just immediately freezes and nothing is recorded. The audio level bar also doesn't move. You have to force close the app. Sometimes force closing and starting it up again would get 1 question to work other times it needed 10+ force closes. Then I plugged my phone in to charge and it only needed 1 force close to start each question. Running an iPhone 6S 64GB so shouldn't have any problems just recording video.

Great and easy interview tool!!!. I thought it was such a great and efficient tool to help with interviews. I appreciate that they were thoughtful of your time frame to do the interview and answer the questions with the video, multiple choice, or essay responses. Such a cool and interesting way to do interviews and takes away the pressure of being face to face which I don’t mind because that doesn’t bother me!!!

Excellent way to interview.. I love the fact that you have preparation time and that you had an opportunity to retake your video before submission! Most of the time when I interview I get a bundle of nerves and anxiety because the process itself tends to be nerve-racking, but this process was the opposite! I was relaxed for the most part in my own home at my own convenient time and I got a chance to think about the questions before answer them and resubmit them if needed.

Not bad. I was very surprised this is a great app, you know you have those times when you experience something completely unique and recorded video interviews are definitely one of them there is still a little bit of being nervous when doing a video interview but I believe that’s normal to be a little nervous but you just have to stay focused and feel good about yourself and what you want to express based on the questions asked to you.

Excellent Process. This app is everything you need from an interview without the awkwardness it’s streamlined and efficient and it actually gives you a chance to sell yourself to the company rather than be caught off guard or put new situation where the interview has issues because of timing and location

Great job!. What a pleasant experience. It has been many years since I have even had to interview and only once, about 10 years ago, did I have to do a video interview for an airline which will remain anonymous. I did not get the call back so that tells ya how it went!!! This app is amazing!!! Completely prepared me to be my best!

Awesome! Here’s why.. This app is designed to get be short and straight to the point. Nobody likes to go to a building, told to wait in a lobby area, then walked through halls or to a back office/conference room and be asked questions that have nothing to do with the job. The questions are directly about the job and your experience and how it can help the company. There are people who get nervous during a face to face interview and that can mess up everything. With this app you are in a comfortable environment “professionally free” (yes that’s my new term) to be yourself. It gives the company a chance to see who you really are. We are supposed to research the company we are working for anyway to see if the environment is something we are going to be able to work in ourselves. This is no different from going on Glassdoor or googling reviews for various companies. The person you go meet in person for a interview may represent the company well, but does not speak on the environment that will be around you. Point blank period this app is the best interview process ever. It may not be what everybody likes because people do not like change, but this is genius.

Mirrors Reality; Shows Integrity. I liked the way that the online interview closely mirrored a real interview: you get one chance to answer a question and there are no do-overs. This makes the process clean and neat and keeps an interviewee from falling into an endless cycle of re-doing responses. It also gives the hiring committee a pretty accurate profile of what a candidate will do under pressure. I especially liked the (unlimited?)practice time—I only did 2 or 3 questions, but it was comforting to know there were more. I was able to quickly hone a process that worked for me—which includes taking note of the question do that I would make sure to answer it, and also to make quick notes so I would not freeze and forget once the camera “started rolling.” Great app. I’d highly recommend it as a hiring tool! *Also, for the company (school district)that used this hiring tool for my interview: It shows that they are dedicated to equity and fairness by using the HireVue process. Oftentimes candidates feel that the decisions are made before interviews are held. This process builds trust and respect for the district. It shows integrity and thereby raises the standards for surrounding districts.

It was an overall clever way of interviewing. I think this is a brilliant idea. However, it could’ve been due to my internet connection but the screen would freeze as I was talking and my mouth and words weren’t at the same speed. I loved the video I watched about the company prior to beginning the interview because it gave me really good insight on the company’s core values. I do think we should be able to review and re-record given the fact that it is an online interview.

Excellence in Execution. This app makes the video interviewing process understandable and valuable to employers and candidates alike. The directions for using the app and completing the process are clear and concise so you know what to expect. As if that weren't enough, you were given ample time to practice with in the platform before beginning your interview. This is an excellent tool. Use it!

Poor candidate experience. As a Human Resources leader, I signed a contract with HireVue in my last position in an effort to increase recruiter efficiency. Now that I’m in the job market, I’m finding that many employers are utilizing this technology. From a candidate’s perspective, recorded video interviews like HireVue are incredibly impersonal and awkward. The whole experience reflects poorly on the employer, as all of the burden, time investment and inconvenience falls on the applicant. In an effort to increase efficiency, the employer is effectively giving candidates a negative first impression. Employers who continue to utilize this technology are ultimately doing themselves a disservice. In their effort to increase efficiency, they will ultimately lose out on the strongest candidates, as they will no longer be willing to participate in this cold, mechanical experience. For this reason, as time goes on I believe employers will discontinue the use of recorded interviews. After being on the candidate side of this process I will strongly discourage any future employer from utilizing recorded video interviews such as this.

Pros and cons. I can see why many people wouldn’t like the video questions. I also would’ve rather do a face-to-face interview, however This was a particular day I couldn’t or wouldn’t have been able to go anywhere. I’m new to Austin and I live far from the bus stop and I share a vehicle. Today I appreciated being able to send in my interview so that I could tackle the work force soon.

First Time Video Interview. I was very impressed with how user- friendly this app is. I much prefer “in person” interviews as I like interaction, but in today’s evolving world, this is a great and convenient way to approach the hiring process. I was very happy for the practice option as it gave me the opportunity to get my camera and background set properly, and get familiar with the process. Thanks!

Revolutionary. This is going to change the world of interviewing. This was so simple to use. Questions where you select the correct answer, a couple where you write out the answer in essay form. A couple questions you can explain thru a video question which was cool to see. The one I used had a time limit on each one, and I thought that was good too. Keep up the great work :)

Excellent Experience. I think the app was excellent. It’s allowed you to read the question, gave you plenty of time to think of a response, and then to give a solid answer. It even allowed you to re-record if you didn’t like your first answer which is way better than a interview at a job site because you can’t do that there. You have to think on your feet and your first mishap turns into confusion, and confidence issues because you made a simple mistake or are nervous. Therefore 5 stars!

Excellent experience with the HireVue app. I am a candidate interviewing for airline positions and have now used the app provided through the employer for two remote video interviews. The app is very user-friendly, non-threatening, offers many helpful suggestions for video interviewing and allows candidates to practice interviewing by responding to sample questions prior to the actual video interview. And candidates are even allowed to re-record video responses that didn’t come out well during the actual interview.

Great way to conduct an Interview. Although my own camera shyness detracted from my performance, I thought it was an unique method of conducting an interview for a Tutor Position. The only drawback I cited was the fact that until the final question, I was unsure of the amount of time I had for each question and; therefore, was not as thorough as I had wished. However, I was pleased with the overall experience.

My first video interview was easier than I expected.. The Air Canada App does a good job of prescreening candidates based on their customer experience and history. The instructions were clear. Having time to practice before recording was valuable for me. I may not get hired but I enjoyed the experience.

Pretty cool. Well this app makes it for you to do things on your own time and sometimes that’s what people just don’t have but also don’t want to miss the opportunity for a certain job. This pretty much takes care of that problem. I rate it a 4 just because, beware that you are timed and on camera so still be prepared to look your best and if you’re like me and just look awkward on camera all the time that can be a problem and especially under time sensitive questions. I Still Hate Interviews!!. This was an awesome experience. The app worked smoothly. If I was the type that liked in-person interviews, I would have loved this process & given it a 10* rating. I cannot see my face in a face2face interview & I am glad I cannot. I looked totally insane during an interview according to the video playback during practice. All in all, the HireVue video interviewing process is great & I still hate interviews!!

Great Interview Process. This was so easy. No stress involved! There was practice questions you could take as many times as you wanted. The interview itself gave you plenty of time to read the question and think about for a few and answer. It was so fast and efficient. 15 minutes or less, whenever you can fit it into your schedule. Really a painless process.

Just like real life, only virtual.. I really enjoyed the video interview. Like being there in person. You have adequate time once the questions are asked to give and explain your answer. Video is a great way to show who you are, how you respond and articulate to their questions. Just what type of person you are. A nice mix of video, audio and typing made for a comfortable interview.

Sonic Automotive Interview. I thought this way of conducting a preliminary interview was an excellent way for me to introduce myself by answering questions that are important to my potential employer. I’m very adaptable to new technology and I found it easy to do, overall. Being given unlimited opportunities to record my responses until I was happy was a big plus for me. It gave me time to jot down some notes and practice recording before hitting the submit button. This guaranteed I was submitting my best responses to the questions asked and I appreciated that. This app is great for the purpose it was designed for.

Cerner interview process. Super easy to use, love that I could do it all from my phone, and that I didn’t have to leave my house to do a job interview. How awesome is that? The questions were very general, but it’s also the initial interview, so I understand why they didn’t go into specific questions about my job as a tech.

Great app imitating the feel of a real interview. This app is great and definitely gave me enough time to practice, enough time to prepare for questions in the real interview and enough time to answer the question. Very easy to use making it user friendly even for those that lack technological use.

Unable to install on an iPhone 6s. I’ve spent 2 hours texting back and forth with tech support and was unable to get the app to initialize on my personal iPhone 6s. The error screen insisted that the app had determined that I did not have sufficient access to grant it permission to use my phone’s camera and microphone. It suggested I contact my phone’s administrator. Checking under “settings” further showed that the app had access to my camera but had not requested (nor did I have the option to grant) access to my phone’s microphone. Tech support ran me through all the usual steps - restart the phone, reinstall the app, switch from WiFi to data, etc. but in the end they told me I need to try the app on another device. Is my 6s (with up to date iOS) really so old that it is no longer supported?

I Understand Why Employers Use This. I thought this is a good application of today’s available technology. I can see why a perspective employer would use this as a step in the candidate screening process. It save times and could expedite the process. The app was easy to install and use. I had no issues. I will remove it now that the interview is complete. Hopefully this recorded interview gets me to an on-site live interview.

Gets the job done, but impersonal.. I suppose we will all be interviewing in this format so we should get used to it. The app does the basics without any extras that don’t need to be there. That being said, things like this are impersonal and make the interview process more nerve-wracking than something in person- “practice” questions, countdown timers and the ability to review your answers are only there to irritate and frazzle. Scheduled phone interviews and video calls where you speak and meet someone in or hired by the company don’t give you so much time to wonder if that job on the other end of this impersonal app is actually worth it. Anyone not recognizing this fact are on the other end watching their applicants squirm and whine as they sit and chuckle.

Finally!. HireVue is an extraordinary product. First Timer. I had not had any experience prior to this with video interviewing. I realize in a fast paced technology world we live in today this is a great way to utilize technology to enhance a process. However, I hope that they realize that they have cut out the personal touch and human interaction which this role so desperately needs. A customer service advocate needs to be able to interact with a human as well as technology.

Quick and to the point. Quick to download and install. I love the way it lets you know how much data will be transferred for practice interviews and such. Time allotments were accurate also. Practice questions were great for warm up before interview and connectivity wasn't an issue even with only a couple bars on iPAD. This saved me having to buy a web cam and I think I might incorporate Hirevue into my husband's interviewing process for his business! This was painless. Thanks Hirevue!

Authentic Format. While I agree with the assessment that it would be nice to be able to pause the practice questions, the reality is that the actual video interview does not have that option. I appreciated the fact that the practice format was in direct correlation to the video interview itself. While the questions were not the same, they followed the same process - set time to read the question & a set time to answer the question. The entire experience was about as authentic as a live interview. There’s no option to unsay what you’ve said. And in reality you don’t generally have 30secs to answer a question when you’re sitting in front of a panel of interviewers. However, since you have to read the question, it gives time to read it and begin formulating a response. The last thing I will mention is that the practice questions come back around, so you’ll have the opportunity to start fresh on them, but you can’t unscramble eggs.

Love love love!. Love this app! It was easy and idiot proof... if any mistakes were made it was just me trying to get my answer across correctly. All companies need to use this before a real interview. Then they can really see how much the person loves what they do, and why they feel they should work for the company. Excellent app!

Becky. This actually was my first time on this or any interviewing app. I thought it was pretty cool that I was able to do a practice run. Yet true~ I wasn’t able to improve my practice run. I just took notes though and made a mental note what *not to do while on camera. I was nervous at first but actually thought over-all a good experience for a first time video interview. Thank you~ Hope I’m able to get this position if it’s to be, that is, for me! Looking forward to being called for an in person interview next! 🙂

Hmm I see you 21st century🔥. Well this is my first time doing an interview on this app and it was on point. I don't think I've reviewed apps in years.. for most of us it has to be something really bad (ask yelp and google maps😂) but this was just the opposite.👌🏾streamlined no frills.. clean and takes proper advantage of the available hardware. Digital Video. I had my experience today and it was awesome. I could do the interview in one of my favorite places; a park. The questions were relevant to the job and the time given for each question was adequate. And you could fail because you are able to take the practice test as many times as you need. New Technology can be so Amazing!!!

Absolutely wonderful relaxed feeling!. For a first time video interview, it was truly a blast. I felt that I could actually let go and be myself more than sitting in an actual interview with sweaty palms trying to make and keep eye contact on the interviewer. 5 stars all around and two thumbs up. Definitely the interview app of the future.

New to interview technology. As a person who remembers using rotary phones and who hasn’t had an interview in a decade, this app was surprisingly easy to use. I liked being able to re record myself until I felt comfortable. I would not have that opportunity in an in person setting. As I practice, I am getting more comfortable interviewing again and watching myself during the recording helps me see how I present myself. The app helps this old dinosaur from the pre-computer age.

Works as advertised, but.... In my opinion, this is a terrible way to screen candidates for a job (I work in healthcare, and healthcare is nothing if not face-to-face interaction between caregiver and patient). This app strips away all the non-verbal human interactions between job candidate and employer, leaving the candidate to wonder what is on the other side of the camera (this is not a videoconferencing app, you are simply recording your interview to a camera). In a face-to-face interview, the interviewer represents the company to which you are applying, and you can glean some idea of the corporate culture by your interactions. With this app, you are left to flounder about with no eye contact or non-verbal cues to gauge their interest during the interview process. Both employer and candidate could lose out on a good working relationship because an otherwise great candidate is someone who is not a natural in front of a camera. Four stars for an app that works as advertised, but a misapplication of technology.

Great Way to Interview. These developers have done a superb job in developing a great service for both the person being interviewed as well as the company hiring!! You are given enough information on how the process works and even can take breaks between interview questions to grab a drink of water or such to feel refreshed for each and every question! Highly recommend.

This Artificial Intelligence has its own agenda. I met with the hiring manager of a large retail chain, he said I was what they were looking for and he would hire me right now but I had to be interviewed by this artificial intelligence app. I had good lighting, no background noise, I practiced, I got all dressed up as if it were a real human interviewing me and it came back "unqualified". The hiring manager called me and told me and said to take it again. I did it all over and got the same result. I have never been fired, held my jobs for years, received many merit raises and now I just wanted a part time job to supplement social security and this bot says I'm unqualified to put shoes on a shelf! I am not impressed with this mindless and inhuman technology.

Great Innovative app. This app has brought the future to this very time and age. It is a straight forward way of conducting interviews. Yes the anxiety of being in a real face to face interview is minimized a bit because you will be doing the interview in your own space. You are not intimidated by any faces or some other mannerisms by interview panelists. It is just you and your device, once you submit your interview you leave the rest for the recruiter to make a decision. I recommend this method, I think it saves time and resources as well.

Terrible. If any job requires me to use this app for the next part of a job process I immediately just accept that I’m not getting that job. This app is extremely bugged. The only time I used it it kept stopping and starting the recording, and I’m pretty sure the company heard my profanity from the utter frustration. It was a one time experience that told me that this app isn’t ready and shouldn’t be accessible to anyone

Nearly missed an opportunity. Used the app to try and do an interview, but when it came to trying to record the video kept on saying something interrupted the video. No support, just some useless information on their website. It was lucky I was able to use a friends computer to complete the interview. I hope I don’t have to ever use this stupid non functional app again

John. Excellent app, easy to use, plenty of time to practice and also plenty of time to think of your answers and to record your responses. No problems highly recommended, was just a bit strange recording answers to questions and then sending the answers away but all good once you got used to it.

Terrible. I hated trying to use this app. It just threw me into it & I was supposed to immediately know what to do. No pause button, no go-back button. I have no idea how it has so many good reviews. They must all be from millennials or younger! Ended up having a panic attack and completely going blank, just staring at the screen not understanding the questions & looking like a complete nut-job.

Missed an opportunity.... Absolutely so upset with this app...I was given an opportunity to work with Optus and I completed all the video applications then began uploading my responses. It has glitched and is stuck on “uploaded 5 of 6 responses” meaning I cannot finish my application! I have emailed 3 different emails to try and fix the problem and it’s now been 3 days and the problem is still persisting...and I haven’t gotten any responses. I have MISSED an opportunity at an amazing job and am more than disappointed and absolutely devastated that I missed such an amazing opportunity at a job I was so passionate about.

zero stars. for an app that is supposed to be able to be used on a mobile device I was disappointed when my device received a call and my interview was terminated by the app, without a feature to resume the interview. when I don't get the job, the finger will be firmly pointed at this useless app.

Innovative. I really enjoyed using this app. Very innovative and had not used an app like this for an interview before

App review. I think this is an amazing app. It's easy to use and has an informative tutorial I like how one can fix ones mistakes by retrying the response. It's not as personal as a person to person interview but it's convenience and enables the interviewee to feel more comfortable because they can chose their environment. It's great to have some time to not feel uncomfortable thinking of a response in front of the interviewer and is great if the interviewee is has to travel a long distance. Every interviewee answers the same questions so the interviewer can compare apples to apples.

Dave. App was easy to use I originally thought it would be hard nerve racking but was really happy with it

HireVue ease of use. Great tool for video interviews. Has a practice function that allows you to monitor and review your setup prior to undertaking. Only issue l experienced what the inability to upload the files for submission. Not sure if this is a technical problem within the app but eventually uploaded after several restarts and switching between wifi and 4G. Simple and easy to use but technical difficulties can make a great tool seem unworthy of recommendation.

Very easy. Great app very innovative, easy to use and a great way for company’s to scene candidates from any where in the world. Although a little sad, this app may make face to face in person interviews something we did ‘back in the old days’. 🧐

Misleading content. I was supposed to play some games before my interview. There was button on the screen saying “practice now” I thought it actually let you practice the game so you get familiar with the games, but, it actually submitted the results to my interviewer immediately after the last game. That’s quite cheeky. I’m very much unsatisfied with my experience.

At the beginning there is a step by step guide with images making it extremely easy to understand what is expected! (Great to know when you're nervous for an interview!) Only for companies that not care about people If you want someone to give excellent customer Service face to face don’t use this interview technique it cold and in human If you want to find out if your can interact like a computer answer chat it might work. Great! Better then desktop.. The desktop version differs from practice to actual interview. It was confusing as I was used to the practice screen. The mobile app does not change and is easy to navigate.

Pros and cons.. Awesome interface - very clean and... attempts.... to do what it is designed to. The app crashed while I was recording the interview. When uploading my videos it displayed error messages. At completion I was told - "Interview complete" but "Upload unsuccessful" I'm guessing it cost me the job unfortunately. :(

DO NOT USE—COST ME THE JOB. I decided to use this app to do my interview. I decided to practice first and after 1 question it asked if I wanted to keep keep practicing or proceed to the interview. I made sure to click keep practicing but it took me to the actual interview without my consent or knowledge. Now all my mistakes and outtakes which shouldn’t even have been recorded are now sent to the company. Thanks a lot HireVue for screwing me out of a job I really wanted.

FIX YOUR APP. If you’re recording a answer and you receive a phone call in the middle of it that attempt. That attempt is lost and if it’s your last attempt it submits nothing. Terrible.

Annoying. I completed my interview but was not ready to upload it.. Later when I tried it gave me a hard time.. It told me my Internet connection was holding up the data from being uploaded.. And doesn't give you an option to do the interview again to try the process again!

Does what it’s supposed to do. It’s easy to install and use. Like the sample interview and all the tips it gives prior the real interview. I did experience a bit of difficulty when I was overseas. The video would not DOWNLOAD, but it is more to do with the regional registration rather than the app itself. Once I returned to Canada, the video downloaded just fine.

App behaves rudely. As far as I can tell, this app messes with the audio and video. I did all the recommended set-up and testing and still had to re-boot my device in after the interview started in order to be seen and heard. After using this app, one seems to have to re-boot in order for FaceTime to work properly.

It’s like a live interview. The process is a lot like live interviewing. Have a list of personal situations ready, and draw from them as you are answering questions. Sometimes interviews are not perfect, and sometimes they are great. Both could happen here.

Interview. Well not everyone is comfortable in front of a video camera looking at theirselves, this is just an easy thing to do with this app. Although I was still a little shaken by doing a video I think it went pretty smoothly so I think this is a great way to do interviews.

Outstanding. This was my first time ever doing a video interview. It was simple to use. I liked the way it gives you ample tile to read the question, think about them, and then answer. I wish more companies used video interviews.

Great, helpful, and convenient interview app!!!. I just got done with an interview for a job I am applying for at my school. The practice interviews were super helpful and gave great tips to be professionally presentable. I would only suggest more practice questions. Very sleek, convenient, and new!

Digital interviews are not good. I don’t think this is anything like a real interview. It’s nice when a company takes the time for a real interview where you can look a people in the face and have a true interview experience. Who cares if you are in the comfort of your own home if you care about a job interview then do it face to face and be somebody. I would never use a digital interview like this in my company.

I actually had fun. This was my first time ever doing an interview in this manner and it might have been the most enjoyable I’ve ever had. I honestly had fun doing it and it think it’s now my preferred method.

Beverage Industry. what a great way to do an initial video interview ! at the end you were allowed to add your own comments and the whole process took less than 20 minutes !

Interview using HireVue, Inc.. This was my first experience using this technique. I felt very comfortable using the App, and believe the interview went well. The majority of the interview consisted of multiple choice responses to questions, with a few video responses as to “what would I do if” questions. Nothing intimidating!

FANTASTIC & UNIQUE!!!. This was one of the best interviews I have ever had to date. I love how the setup was and my interview with Delta Airlines was very interesting. I like how convenient and respectable they were to allow me to do the interview on my own time and that was definitely a plus. Excellent app no doubt about it.

Great for first time interviewers. It helped me practice my self confident to actually do it. I have never done this type of interview before, so it was different. I felt great doing it after a couple practices.

Easy and convenient. This was such an convenient tool! I was able to complete the interview in the comfort of my home, which is so great for a mom of toddlers! I loved the experience, and the process was so quick and easy to maneuver.

Great work.. It could give more tries to do video, but if you follow instructions and just tell them about you, then you're good to go. It's a way for them to also get to know you and not just be a name on a page.

From the initial email invitation, and throughout the digital interview process, HireVue has anticipated candidates questions and configured their application to be very user friendly. Digital Interview. I had never done a digital video interview before and wasn't sure it was a good way to do an interview. However after completion of my interview using HireVue, this is an awesome way for any company to start their interview process. It truly is a time savor for the employer.

No stress!. Easy, straightforward, and convenient. The ability to complete the interview process anywhere is amazing. I was on holiday trip when the request for the interview came and I was able to complete right on my phone.

Awesome app!. I absolutely love this form of interviewing! It takes away the stress of getting to an actual location, but you still are able to show your face and give personality! And you’re able to practice! I love it!

Ran smoothly. First time doing a video interview, and I used my iPad because I do not currently have a webcam set up on my desktop. I was very pleased with how smoothly it ran for me. I get nervous enough with the interview itself without the additional worry of technology malfunctioning.

Great App. I loved the fact that it gives you the option of practice. As we all normally get Nervous about face to face interviews this app, cuts the stress in half, especially when done on your own time and comfort zone.

Retired public servant. I had never taken an interview on video. It was a different experience. I liked it although I have enjoyed the personal touch. I hope it was acceptable. It was quick and it had its difficulties due to handling the device and positioning at the same time.

Excellent interviewing process!. I was very pleased with this app. It was a gave just enough time to prepare and enough time to answer. I definitely could’ve used a little more time but that’s because I’m an English Teacher and we like to talk! 😄Great app!

Glitchy. The interview started out ok but then the video would start recording an answer, randomly stop, then say there was an error. One of the answers it summited, without me clicking on the submit button, or it just went to the next question. I miss the days where your future wasn’t determined by a stupid app.

Internship. First time experiencing this type of interview style. Practice questions help to prepare for what would be expected once I started the interview. Very easy to use the app and complete the interview process.

Speechless. This is definitely making a change in the world. Interviews like this should be the base that every company starts off to get a better understanding on who and how is this person that the company could be hiring.

Great Idea However... This could be perfect for someone who doesn’t have time to attend a one on one interview. Although I feel like this version of an Interview isn’t for everyone, at least not for me. It was a very nerve recking experience with me. Literally my heart was pounding while my time was ticking away to give my answer. I like the idea but it might not be for everyone.

Great Interview Experience. This is one of the best interviews I have ever had. I felt comfortable in my questions because I had time to actually think of what I wanted to say without being stared down, and had time to practice what I actually wanted to say with out stumbling over my words.

Well Done. As far as the app goes it’s a 5 star experience for sure. If I could rate it higher for the use of Veridian Dynamics I would. It’s a great reference. “Veridian Dynamics. We make things better. Sometimes.”

Convenient and Time Efficient. I love taking the virtual interview from the comfort of home. This saves time, gas, and the hassle that you have to endure to commute to an interview. I like the way it’s setup and compatible with my iPad Pro. Great and second time using it

Was great for a intro!. I think the app is great for pre-interviewing. I'm a face to face person and like them in person. I think there should of been a few more questions to determined the skill level. This doesn't cover skills and situations that I like to let the interviewer know when I'm in person.

Anxiety. As much as this may be convenient to hiring managers, this contradicts actually seeing someone in person and having an actual interview. This is actually really hard to do for most youth, such as myself, considering that I have anxiety looking at myself in a video talking or even hearing my voice. It isn’t fair, I want the face to face, not talking to a virtual screen.

First experience. Never even heard of this process before yesterday . . . I can’t imagine another video interview app more user friendly and/or any higher quality. Very impressed . . .

Great!. This was a great piece of software I use it on a recent interview there was a lot of time for questions they were practice questions and they were written questions and there were no glitches or bugs in the software thank you

Interview Preparation 👍🏼. I like opportunity to review materials online in your preparation area prior to your interview. I like that the interview provide you with the ability to read do that portion of your interview. This tape is very helpful in terms of developing interviewing skills.

Accidental submission.. During the written questions, you click submit and then it asks “are you sure?”. During the video questions there is not an “are you sure?” pop-up. A simple finger slip on my part submitted an incomplete jumble of a video response. But, they made sure I meant to submit that I was available on nights and weekends.

First time using a video interview. The is my first experience doing a video interview. I like that I was able to complete the interview on my time. The app was easy to use and He practice questions were helpful.

So awkward. I truly hate HireVue. It is such an impersonal, lazy, and detached way to have an interview. Obviously it’s just more convenient for the companies. I would rather meet person to person to have an interview. I found it so uncomfortable. If I could give it less than a star I would. Companies want people to work for them then they should make an effort to make a genuine connection. Clearly laziness and greed override that. I truly hope this online interview does not become a trend.

Bestest and easiest to Date. I just used another one of these about a month ago and this one was by FAR Superior. A 10 on the user friendly scale!

The Next Step in Interviewing. I just used this app for an interview. The set up process was quick and easy. This was my first experience interviewing using this method and this app. If the job your applying for is interviewing candidates via this method/app; don't be intimidated, go for it! The whole process was easy and fun!

New Experience. I really enjoyed the whole experience of going through this. It was fast it was simple and overall I feel companies should definitely gear towards this route of doing interviews.

HireView interview. My interview experience with HireView was great!! This is an excellent idea for an employer. The questions were very clear and easy to read. Before answering any questions, HireView gave me enough time to think and answer properly. Thank you for this experience!

Interesting experience. First time ever using this type of app and I found it very interesting. Straight forward, somewhat flustering when it became stuck though. Although it never lost its place when it came back up.

Interview by Video. I appreciated the actual process of the interview by video however, I think the practice questions should be the same for the actual interview.

Poorly designed. The implementation was decent enough (some things still felt sloppy). The design and management is where I had an issue. First of all if anyone calls you during the interview, or any shift from the app to another app, will immediately end your response to the interview question. Additionally, they use illogical pseudoscience based algorithms to decide if someone is a fit for the job. There is absolutely no credible research to back up their claims about their algorithm.

Better than driving to an interview. This was so much more used in the job interview process than driving in metro Atlanta traffic to get to an interview. Plenty of customer support, lots of opportunity to practice, easy to install, uninstalling when finished.

Virtual interview!. This is the new way of doing things for sure. As technology progresses in all aspects of our lives and business, this is a great way of conducting interviews! Completed in the comfort of my own home and was able to practice before the real deal! It was great!
