Blah blah blah and poor save function. Fun game but the amount of dialog makes it a chore to get through it. The puzzle solving scenes are fun, but it takes forever to get to them. What makes it worse is that it is not clear when the game saved last. There have been several times I've stopped in the middle of a scene only to have to slog through the huge chunks of the same dialogue i went through the last time. Super frustrating.

Not my cup of tea.... The game is well written, has good graphics and a fun storyline but I just couldn’t get into it. I usually love games of “this type” but in all actuality, this game is in a category of its own. It has a weird concept that just didn’t pique my curiosity and give me that wonder and intrigue to wanna keep playing. But all because it’s not my kind of game doesn’t mean it deserves a bad rating. Maybe I’ll give it another try one day... but if you are looking for an odd adventure game with a good storyline, give it a whirl.

Would love to actually play the game.. This is a really interesting concept and I like the game play, but the text never ends. It felt like I was mostly just reading a story. The instructions could’ve been explained in half the time and a lot of the needless back and forth ultimately made me delete it. It would be better to cut back on the banter or give a skip option.

A must-own despite one major flaw. Great characters, enthralling story, fun puzzle solving. The port is fantastic. I played it for hours without much hit to my battery level. One of the best games on iOS. The major flaw is that you can’t share your purchase with family as it has to be done with an in-app purchase. So I need to dish out another $10 to share it. Lame.

Hidden Gem of a Game. Capcom is known for its Ace Attorney series as far as DS games go. This is another DS game they made, but sadly was released near the end of the console’s life cycle (sorta ironic.) Thankfully it was revived here on the App Store. This game is amazing. Fun puzzles and a wonderful plot intertwined in one package. Buy the whole thing if possible - this is one adventure you can’t miss.

When do I get to play?. This is so well done that it gets in the way of itself. I would give it 5 stars but I feel like there is so much to the story and less play time for me. All I want to do is the tricks but there is constant reading and more reading and even more reading. I’m constantly tapping the screen to read more. Get the idea? The dialog is quite good and I realize that they have to show you what to do and the game is quite genius but I need a game I can just play. I want to eliminate the story and just do the puzzles. I want to discover and uncover the story as I go and let it unfold naturally. I feel like I’m reading a well written novel instead of actually doing anything. I don’t like timed games either. It deserves 5 stars just for the complexity and depth and the programming involved. For me though, I’m going to put it on the back burner as I was getting frustrated waiting for my turn to “roll the dice.” I do like the game but after 45 minutes, the actual play time was 5 minutes each scene and I manipulated two scenes. It needs to move along.

Chapter Re-Purchase. I played through the entirety of Ghost Trick a few years ago, and I must say it’s a wonderful game; unfortunately there is no sequel to continue the series, which is disappointing. After having an urge to Re-play the game, I downloaded it again only to find that the chapters I had bought were not available. In essence, if I want to replay the game again, I will have to re-purchase the episodes. Even so, the game is wonderful enough that I can easily justify a second purchase of the game. However, I hope that the bug is fixed for those who are in the same situation as me, but cannot afford a second purchase.

Could be good, but insufferably bloated. I was intrigued, but every time you actually get to take some action, you then have to go through five minutes of the lamp telling you what you should do next, and explaining the situation in an extremely verbose manner. Then, when you finally get to make your next move, it is all over again five more minutes of incessant dialogue, tapping continue continue continue dozens of times. This game could be beautiful, if only it weren’t 90% being told what you need to do and how to do it.

A joy to play. Ghost Trick is a smart twist on the adventure game genre where you play as a ghost that can manipulate objects to move around the world and save people. Your objective is to find out who you are and how you died, no small feat in this 10-12 hr game. There's not much else to say apart from that, stay for the story, characters, music and graphics and enjoy one of the best games made by original trilogy Ace Attorney director, Shu Takumi and his team. It ran well on an iPod touch 3rd generation so if you own anything newer than that, you're golden (this is an an iPad Air 2). Definitely worth the 9.99.

One of the best DS games, now ported. The original game was one of the best games on the DS but unfortunately unpopular. This port is basically just as good. Also this game is not just a puzzle game, but rather the puzzle is only a small tool to push through a really really good story.

A highly underrepresented masterpiece. From the studio that brought Phoenix Wright (confirm before you believe me, that’s second hand knowledge) comes an amazing real-time puzzle game that has a breathtaking story from drama to romance and a whole lot of death. Originally released on the DS, the only thing I have to complain is the slight pause due to how touch screens work (which I’m not faulting them for). I’d recommend this game to anyone and everyone who says they enjoy good story driven games with puzzles!

Great title, but.... I played Ghost Trick all the way through a couple of years ago, and I wanted to return to it. However, when I try to go "back in time" during the prologue, I get stuck on a loading screen. I'm running an iPhone SE with iOS 13.1.3, so I'm not sure if it's my hardware or software, but I miss this game! If there is still a team updating it, please take a look...

Love this game but.... I absolutely love this game! I can’t put it down hardly, but my only issue is that there is some kind of glitch when I get to the scene at the Chicken Kitchen. I get to the 4 minutes before death sequence and it just keeps showing the last scene over and over. Really hope this gets fixed soon so I can keep playing :(

Stuck on rewind. (Fixed). I’ve played it before and it’s a great game, it just gets stuck on the rewind screen every single time I’m in the tutorial. So it’s basically a broken demo at this point. Edit: Fixed in recent update, it’s a great game.

If you like puzzles and story!. A little background on the games I like: they all have story and a mystery to solve. This is one of the best games ever from the graphics, to the difficult puzzles, to the whole thought and creativity process! 10/10 recommended to all my friends.

In my opinion a hidden gem in capcom’s line up. This game is honestly one of my favorite if not my favorite game of all time. The story line is extremely interesting and well written and characters are extremely memorable and great. The game despite originally being for the DS works incredibly well for a mobile phone game and you will find yourself investing hours into this game if you truly enjoy it. I loved this game so much I finished this 12+ hour adventure in less then a week it was that great! Well worth the 10 dollars. I’m assuming capcom fixed all the bugs as I’ve came across none. My only complaint of this game is 3 things. 1. There’s no sequel 2. You can solve mysteries in one way only making the adventure feel slightly linear however the writers and creators of this game are extremely creative 3. The game is extremely is text heavy wish some voice acting or something could’ve been added to this game.

Criminally Underrated!. this game is an absolute hidden gem! tons of little twists everywhere, tricky puzzles, unique game mechanics, tons of interesting memorable characters designs and fun dialogue, an engaging and unique story, a delightfully jazzy soundtrack, and nice stylized graphics to name a few of this game's virtues! the story can be a little confusing later on but it still manages to be suspenseful, mysterious, fun, intriguing, and immersive! an absolute must have game!!!

Hands up a Classic. Before it used to black out on me after the tutorial, then quite all together, but now after being fixed this great game has captured my heart and kept me guessing through the amazingly tied together story. One of the best games I've played with great puzzles and graphics, hope to see more!!

Tears. The game’s story got me so good just now that I couldn’t stop crying through the darn thing. And the game also has super fun gameplay to boot with interesting character design and visual style to round it out. I only wish I had gotten to play the original DS version when it first came out years ago because the game is to amazing to have wait this long. Hands down, don’t wait to buy the full chapters, it’s worth it, I promise!

Fantastic game, decent port. The game is fantastic. I’m a pretty avid gamer but rarely commit to iOS ports; however I do not own a DS anymore due to poor eyesight. The game is a satisfying, powerfully captivating narrative full of interesting plot twists, great character development, a stunning OST to accompany you every second of the way, and the unexplainable phenomenon where you just want to keep playing to find out what happens and say “5 more minutes” over and over again until it’s 6 AM and the sun has risen. The port sees some lag/memory issues in the later chapters but not significant enough to detract from the overall experience. A fantastic, memorable game that sticks with you days and weeks after finishing it.

Probably best game I've played. When I first opened the game I had high expectancies and... it did, this was probably the best game I've ever played on my phone, it has a solid/interesting story that keeps you playing, puzzles are somewhat difficult but it gives the game a special tune to it, the characters just keep you surprised... all of this game is worth your time viewer it will take you to the old times, definitely download. 5/5 stars for me. Why? -Solid Gameplay -Story that keeps you interested -Interesting characters -Old vibe which makes the game an old piece of art. -Much more which you will experience from gameplay!

THANK YOU SHU TAKUMI & CAPCOM. I can't stress to anyone reading this how amazing this game is. The gameplay, the story, the music, the graphics, the characters, everything is so perfect. This is easily my favorite game of all time and if Capcom hadn't so perfectly ported it to iPhone I probably never would've gotten around to playing it.

A plot twist no one sees coming. Criminally underrated.. This is my favorite Puzzle-story game, and one of the best games I ever played ever. That says a lot seeing as how I’ve played Half-Life 2, Portal 2, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Bloodborne, and Metal Gear Solid, and much more. Though this is on the more expensive side for a ported game on the AppStore, the experience justified the price. Just flat out amazing gameplay, amazing characters, amazing music, amazing story. Just 10/10, simple as that

Amazing game!!!!!. This game is absolutely amazing! I love the graphics, the gameplay is challenging, I seriously cannot express how much I enjoyed playing it! The one thing that could be improved is the save system but other then that it's perfection!! It is definitely worth it to buy all the chapters and I was kept on the edge of my seat and interested throughout! Good job CapCom!!

Lovingly crafted game, amazing quality. Amazing game, in craft and story. The 2d pixel animation captures life-like movements (using rotoscoping?), and has a lot of 2d/3d shading tricks. As a murder mystery, the Dev team shows their experience from their previous Ace Attorney games that will keep you on your toes and guessing. 5 stars are not enough. Definitely worth the $10 price.

Fantastic story!. This game has an incredibly engaging story, which is the main draw of the game. The gameplay mechanics are unique, but it’s the story that really sells it! I strongly recommend this game to anyone wanting to enjoy an immersive, exciting story. The user interface isn’t perfect, it looks like it’s a letterboxed form of a game ported from some other game system, but that doesn’t detract much from the enjoyment of the story for long. Definitely worth a try, especially with the 2 free chapters, even though it doesn’t look great at first. Just try it, you’ll be glad you did!

Broken. I’ve been looking for a new game to play and downloaded the tutorial to see if I wanted to buy the full version. I couldn’t even finish the tutorial! I got to the part of rewinding time and saving the woman’s life and the game froze. It just kept showing me the same graphic of a red clock rewinding, over and over again. I tried to reopen the game and I had to go through a bunch of dialogue to get back to where I was and the game still didn’t work. Now after reading other reviews, deleting it and not looking back. Too much dialogue and no way to speed it up, and inconsistent save points. Not worth the time.

Phenomenal. This is a phenomenal game created by the same people who made Ace Attorney. Some of the scenes were a bit tricky so I had to use walkthroughs to get through them, but otherwise, this is such an amazing game with a very convoluted and fantastic story. I can’t give it a higher rating.

Would completely recommend.. This amazing game had an amazing story while still keeping everything in plain sight, the game play was unique and great. Worth the money and worth the time. The great puzzles and just the feeling at the end when everything fit together and you understand the story. Played through it 3 times just for watching the story unravel again. It had a lot of work put into it, I’d love if they had a sequel because this game was amazing. The animations fit in well. Would recommend!

Amazing but cost.... I love this game SO MUCH! It’s definitely my favorite game up to date AND retro! The only thing I would change would be the cost. I know that you developers need money for making these games and stuff, but if you could ever make a free version, like a different story and different scenes, but the same game, essentially. Like... a shorter version of this game, but a different storyline. I hope you get it. Other than the cost, this is my favorite game and it completely got me hooked the second I started playing it. Developers, even if you don’t take my above suggestion, please at least make a sequel to this game, or with the same controls. Amazing!

Rad. Definitely gonna buy the rest of the chapters in the future. The whole time I was playing I whispered to myself, “Ohhhhh, that’s so cool.” You can solve puzzles quickly IF you pay attention to the clues (which I didn’t realize at first). I also love the designs and personalities of each character.

annoyed. So i think i like the game but i really don't know because i've yet to get past the tutorial... i did that whole thing and saved my game and closed the app only to open it later and have to replay half the tutorial again. I wouldn't mind this if there was a way to fast forward or skip through dialogue but there isn't. So please fix your save feature and give a way to speed through the slow dialogues for fast readers like myself

Where’s the sequel???. I love this gave so much and ever since I played it the first time when I was around 10, I’ve been hoping for a game in the same style. Seriously this is one of my favorite IOS games (maybe of all games) and I want another game like this! Congrats and thank you to the makers, it’s a great game.

Dealing with losing saved state. When I’d save and come back, it started me in some random earlier chapter of the game. I “fixed” this by going to the main menu and using Continue or Chapter Select. This at least started me in the right chapter. As far as I could tell, it always started me in the beginning of the chapter, never at my actual save points, so I gave up on saving the game (apart from when the game would ask me if I wanted to save) and would pause my game play only as a new chapter started. If it weren’t for this pretty bad bug, it’d be a 4-5 star game. It has a cool premise and interesting story line, although I do find the characterizations kinda sexist.

CHAPTER 7 Crash. I had the game for a long time and erased all my data to play fresh so I don’t skip a chapter or anything. Got to chapter 7 and during the rewind death part it cuts to a certain part and then it crashes (no video just audio) I don’t want to spoil it. I hope it gets an update. I believe it might have been an iOS update that broke it but I hope it gets fixed. Some visuals like the intro doesn’t even show or the phone line transfer. It does stink but at least I can play it somewhat before it ends.

Fantastic. Unique gameplay with very interesting puzzles, great art style, and lovable characters. The soundtrack is an absolute banger and the story will rope you in. This game was made by Shu Takumi, who also created the Ace Attorney trilogy, so if you enjoyed those games you will surely love this one too. It’s worth every dollar, please do yourself a favor and play this game!

Very Good Game. Hands down this is one of the best games I’ve played in a while. Although it has minor setbacks, and the beginning isn’t as good as the end, it is still a very good game that I would recommend to anyone who likes puzzles games or games involving a rich storyline. While I wish a sequel was made, I don’t think that will happen anytime soon.

It’s good but I didn’t play it on this device.. It’s very good and all but I played it on the DS not my device but all I can say is it’s very good and I recommend it to you! It has amazing ost and amazing plot twists I kept freaking out every time there was a plot twist because of how unexpected the plot twists were my favourite characters were sissel , missile and yomiel. But I really enjoyed the game and recommend it to you!

This game has a good story. In my opinion I love the ghost trick part and the story I’m thinking of buying the full game because it is really good for the first two chapters and also has a lot of content for it too this is my first review on a game in the App Store and that shows that it is at least a good puzzle game and story. Stellar game, I loved every bit. TotalBiscuit kept recommending it on the Co-optional Podcast so I gave in and bought the game. This game is spectacular, it has a vivid and tragic story and its game mechanics are rather unique. All characters have their own distinct personalities and it is easy to tell them apart. The story broke my heart and I highly recommend this game. If you want to try it out, first 2 chapters are free. If you like those, you most likely will like the rest of the game. Also for those complaining it costs money, the DS game is around $25-$30. The iOS costs $10 to get all the chapters in one go. You are saving money so hush. It is worth far more than those numbers.

Game is broken on iOS 14, Wait for update. Ghost Trick is a great game, the puzzles are fun and unique, the plot is interesting and the characters and writing have charm. The only problem is, iOS 14 has broken this game and it is actually unfinishable, I got to chapter 14/18 and it just froze and I could not progress. I bought this game before iOS 14 happened but took my sweet time and I guess that was a mistake because now I cannot experience it to its fullest. Try the first two chapters for free if you want, but do not buy the whole thing for $10 until an update happens, if it ever does

I love this game!. This game is a gem. I love the challenge and the replay ability, but there are some flaws. You have to buy more chapters. Sure, they’re cheap, but I don’t want to spend money on more chapters. A pro to the problem is that you can purchase all chapters for about 9.99 or 10$. I find this game fascinating. A real classic. I honestly wish there were more games like this on IOS. Great story and the way it’s told, just fenomenal. The gameplay is fun and unique and full of interesting characters with many eccentricities. This is what I call a full fledge well developed game. Fully recommend it.

Can’t continue on the game, bug stop me.. I finished the game back then, I have a blast of a time, I felt the need to come back again to finish this awesome game, sadly there’s a bug that others have mentioned. Mostly, the bug freezes the “going back in time” animation making this app not updated for the newest phone, I feel that the developers won't come back to update this and fix the problem, so that means that my only option is to buy the 3ds version of the game. So please do me a favor and don't let this version of this game swept under the rug, I want to play this version badly, so please Capcom update this game.

One of my favorite games. I bought this game maybe 10 years ago and have re-downloaded and re-played it many times. You start out having died but have no memory of who you are. You have the ability to go back in time and manipulate objects. The storyline is intriguing and keeps you involved till the very end. The gameplay is a lot of fun figuring what object does what and the timing of when to do it. The writing is witty and funny. It's paid to unlock all chapters but definitely worth it. I keep coming back to this game when I forget the details to enjoy it all over again.

Difficult but extremely engaging and fun. I don’t recall exactly how I came across this game, but I pretty much exclusively play puzzler type games and I must say that this is one of the best ones out there. Yes, it’s a finite game and storyline, which some might balk at due to the price, but it’s still worth it in my opinion. The mechanics and ingenuity of this game are incredible and it really makes your brain work outside of the box in strange and delightful ways. Plus the story is good. It’s hard for a game to tick all the boxes—game play, story, mechanics, etc.—but Ghost Trick meets and surpasses these in extraordinary ways. If they ever made another game like this, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

Still my favourite puzzle thriller on IOS. I’d never felt urgency, empathy, and actual investment because of an Iphone game before this one. The characters are greatly well-written and he mystery actually surprises you in ways you didn’t expect. The touch controls are intuitive and ultimately makes the game a great one. Perhaps the best moment in the game is one where you’re rushing to complete the puzzle or to move your character faster. The reason you rush is because you know a character you like is going to die or fall into a trap or something of the sort. I’ve never felt that way about characters in an Iphone game before. But of course this was originally released on DS.

Retro style. Game flow, sound/music, & dialogue has a Super Nintendo game vibe—almost RPG in nature in how you can examine lots of objects & talk to lots of characters—-a game style I really enjoy. If you don’t like lots of plot, character development & detail, then you will not like this game. The puzzles are delightful, wether easy or hard, they are pretty intuitive if you’re right brained & creatively minded. I had no real major difficulty with any; it was just hard enough to be fun. Very clever game structure, plot, unique non-cookie cutter characters—good enough to be made into a comic or cute show. They just don’t make unique games like this like they used to—really worth every penny. Hope they make more!

10 years later ... Where's the Sequel?!. Just got into this randomly this Saturday morning and wow, I spent my whole day playing. The story really does pull you in. It has the hallmark of those truly classic mystery games from the DS era - a simple mechanic, that get repeated, doubled, layered, and subverted. The plot was really engaging and the characters are complicated, the stakes serious, but it never lacks in goofy moments and silly jokes. Played on a iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 16, no problems with the port!

Amazing, engaging, touching. This game is beautiful - and worth well over the $10 asking price. Despite usually not liking in-game purchases, it's actually quite neat the way they've implemented the try-before-you-buy thing. Not your usual pick-up-for-two-minutes iPhone game, it mixes puzzles with a story brilliantly and is challenging yet solveable. By the time you get used to the mechanics the mystery and story line has you hooked, and only keeps building momentum to a gripping and touching finale. The soundtrack is effective too. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Awesome action puzzle game. Replayed the game and it still stands to be my favourite iOS original game. A must play :) First review: First iPhone game purchase and don't regret it one bit - stayed up playing from 2.30am til 12pm the next day. Amazing. I've already written a review expressing how expensive this game was but tht was before I decided to just fork over $10 and get the game. But let me just say, this game is INCREDIBLE. The idea is so creative and the storyline is so mysterious that you'd want to keep playing on and on (just spent 2 hours on 5 chapters, really worn out but happy ^_^). The animation is really cool and as serious as this game may sound, there are some rly hilarious parts in this game (recliner seat, that left me cracking, dw if yu make that mistake in the game you'll understand ;)) I've rly gotta be honest, this was TOTALLY worth $10 and considering the gameplay I was given that would be considered quite cheap for how much I was given. I couldn't exactly say this ended too quickly too, I just played too quickly xD I just LOVED the storyline, it was just breathtaking, capcom's my favourite game developers, they make AMAZING games. I would be SO happy if a sequel came out (like idk, different characters, different storyline, you know =3) GET THIS, PROMISE YOU YOU WON'T REGRET BUYING IT. P.S. what is WITH all those people complaining about too much reading, are you so ridiculously incompetent you can't freaking READ just a bit? Go back to playing angry birds >=(

Love this game so much!. Wonderful writing and the art has so much style. This is probably my favourite mobile game of all time.

Amazing Game but keeps crashing.. I played this game a few months ago on my iPod and bought all the chapters. In my opinion it's the best game on the App Store. I just love the twist ending which I only figured out just before it was revealed. However, I recently downloaded it onto my iPhone 4S and tried to restore the chapters I had purchased but it crashed. Now every time I open Ghost Trick it crashes. Please fix so I can play it again.

Buy this game!!. A fantastic port to mobile and a game that makes sense on the phone due to the accurate touch controls. The games has great music, animations and a truely unique style!

Smart. I love this game, creating it was smart, the execution of it is smart, the dialogue is smart and the way they make you purchase it is smart!! I love how Ghost Trick just gives a massive "F*** you" to all you jailbroken creeps. The way they made it an in-app purchase prevents cheapskates from getting it for free and ANYONE who wanted this game for free, shame on you. This game is beautiful. The characters tug at you emotionally, their development is wonderfully executed. It takes 3 seconds before each character has you intrigued and how everything is connected... Omg I love you Ghost Trick. It makes you think, it hands you a bone and then smacks you in the face with it, spinning you around and then hands you a smaller bone, which at first looks worse, but when you bite it you realise it's tastier... Idk what i'm saying, but this game is worth it's long play-time. It's worth the money, it's worth the time and it's worth your heart. If you haven't realised yet, i'm reccomending this game heavily.

Take this game off the app store.. Capcom hasnt updated this game in two years for a bug fix. Keeping a dysfunctional app on the store is beyond a joke, and shows a lot of laziness from one of the biggest game companies in the world if they cant be bothered updating their game to current ios models. Seeing as my phone updated itself and I bought the episodes pretty much just before it updated to ios 8, I just wasted money on something that crashes at the first sign of interaction. The ios update isnt new, so Capcom has zero excuses as to why they havent bothered to fix this. It's disgusting, really. If I could get a refund I'd be asking for my money back.

Best game ever!!!!!. This is the best game ever it is totally worth the money! This game kept me guessing the whole way through, I can not believe who he turned out to be(I will not spoil)! I really felt connected to this game as if it were really happening, I was practically "sucked in"! There were great graphics and the journal was very detailed which was helpful when I was stuck. Best Game I Just Finished It!. THIS GAME IS SO GOOD. I RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE. So so worth the money you won't be disappointed. I finished this game within a month. I had just finished the game and am now getting post game feels and will not be over this game for a while. Play this game you won't be disappointed!

Brilliant,Amazing and totally engaging. This is by far the best game I've ever played on a mobile device and its in my top ten games ever played. Definitely worth every cent. There needs to be a sequel or another game made by the same team ASAP!! The story line is absolutely amazing, full of on the edge of your seat type stuff. The game mechanics are integrated perfectly and are both fun and challenging. If you have played the first 3 chapters and are even slightly interested I highly recommend getting the full version, you will not be disappointed!!

Awesome. This is probably the best game I've come across. I definitely recommend it. The story was great and I was surprised at how emotional I felt about a dog. I did stop playing partway through but when I started again I couldn't stop. I hope for a sequel and the only adjustment would be to skip dialogue especially when you need to repeat scenes.

Amazing game!. One of my favourite DS games, I tried the trial chapters on iOS and it has only improved! The resolution is higher, and the gameplay works just as well on a touch screen. This is a puzzle game with an intense thriller storyline. The previous games from these guys are the Phoenix Wright series, if you played and enjoyed those stories you will love this story too. Lots of twists and turns, tricky puzzles where you try to avert various deaths, and an engaging story. If I wasn't already halfway through a replay on DS I would have already bought this version. The price is high for iOS, but this is a looong game, and was much pricier on ds.

Truly a modern classic. This is more than just a great game. It's truly a modern classic, and does not suffer in comparison to existing classics (Monkey Island, Chrono Trigger, Another World, Ico, etc.) A lot of that is in its story, which is a sort of heartwarming noir-ish detective story of betrayal and murder that's suitable for all ages. While slightly bizarre and surreal, the plot, twists, and world rules are brilliant, and the characters are both likeable and memorable. Writing is excellent thanks largely to probably one of the best game translations out there. Most jokes are genuinely funny and the drama is often emotionally affecting. Presentation is also amazing, though, with a unique and well handled art style, top-quality animation and an overall incredible level of polish. The actual gameplay is closely integrated with the overall experience, and puzzle design is both clever and unique. Not too hard but still taxing at times. I've played far too many games over the course of my life, and you don't come across one like this too often. One of the few I would praise like this. A hugely unique and enjoyable experience. Well worth the price, but don't buy it expecting an action game as some apparently have.

Tricky little ghost. I’m a fan of the Ace Attorney series and I was expecting this game to be in the same vein. If you don’t like AA I can assure it’s very different. The graphics are smoother then they have ever been and the gameplay is intuitive. Without spoiling anything, the storyline is definitely its strongest point. It has a great learning curve as the puzzles get tougher and makes want to play that little bit longer. Even if it only mildly interests you, do yourself a favour and at least play the free chapters. You don’t get anything for replaying but it’s still worth the price for sure.

Very good. I really liked Phoneix Wright and this game feels a lot like it but a little bit more bizarre and fun. Next time I top up on iTunes credit I'm gonna buy all the episodes and to everyone complaining about the price of the episode, this game cost around $20-$30 on the DS so quite complaining.

Wow.. As the title says, wow. I have never rated an iOS game because I have never felt any were amazingly good, but this game is an exception. The gameplay is original and interesting, but the main thing which hooked me was the storyline. Anybody who likes to play games with an awesome story and you enjoy a great mystery that will keep you hooked, this is the one for you. No complaint about the price, about $40 cheaper than the DS version. Sequel please??

Excellent game. Played this through on the ds, and it was one of my favourite games that year! I cannot recommend it highly enough. This isn't an angry birds/fruit ninja $1 snack game - it's a full game experience with a great story, and worth your $11. And it gets better and better after chapter 2 😃 The only gripes I have with this version is the chuggy frame rate (even on an iPhone 4gs) and the occasional audio glitch

Great Game!. This game is great! So fun and really gets me thinking. It also has a very interesting sense of humour. I like the amount of thought and sometimes trial and error I have to apply to solve some of the puzzles. I've had some issues with saving my game properly, and often I've had to sit through the same dialogue and in some cases even repeat a large portion of a chapter when returning to my game. No big deal, but a bit annoying. Apart from that no other complaints!

Trying go back in time and it gets stuck at the animation. Going thru the games intro. I got excited until it just hung on my iPhone X during the first time travel. It just hung??? What happened?

Fantastic production values. A unique and new take on the adventure game. Rather than manage an inventory you interact with the environment to influence the story. Speaking of story, be prepared for plenty of dialogue but it is really very well written for an all-ages game. The production values in the quality of the animation and overall story are unseen on iOS, so I really hope this is a success and encourages further development along these lines.

Stuck at Rewind Screen. I've heard a lot of good things about this game and I'd been itching to try it out. However, right off the bat I experienced a problem where I'd get stuck at the rewinding time animation when I'm first introduced to saving the girl's life. I did everything I could to try and get out of it from restarting the game, redownloading the game and even bought chapters just to see if it would do anything but I'm stuck at the same animation every time I get to it. Looking at other playthrough videos, I'm confident that this was not meant to be an issue not was it supposed to be an existing bug at all. If the developers are still maintaining this game, I implore you to help me out with this problem since it really does seem to be quite fun. I'm out of ideas on how to fix the game, and I do not want the money I spent on the game to go to waste. Please help!

Ghost Trick Review. This is quite simply the single best game on the App store. Im watching the credits roll on my iPod right now, and upon thinking back, i realise that this was simply one of the best puzzle games i have ever, ever, EVER played. Great character, Great Music, Great Puzzles, Greap Length, Great Price, and - Above all-Amazing story. If you call yourself any sort of games, and are looking for a amazing game, GET THIS NOW. I cant reccomend it any higher. Do it.

Glitch!. I get to the second ‘Ghost Trick’ to go back in time and it gets stuck on a loop of the clock going backwards. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. Then tried to contact the maker and got no response. Very disappointed! Only one star because it started good.

I love the try before you buy concept. It is a sensational game with excellent graphics and controls perfectly optimized for iPhone! It plays really well, moves fluently, and the concept is one of the most creative I have seen on the app store!!! Sadly I won't be buying the expansions until they lower the prices, but none the less, it's awesome!

Awsome Game. This game is the best game i've ever played.I just wanted the game to keep going but there has to be an end. Yeah you have to pay $10 to get the rest of the levels but once you've played the first two chapters you wont care. All ou will want it to find out what happened.

Main reason is because there's less chance of the game going on special & it tries to charge you more if you choose to pay in separate payments to gradually unlock the full game It's from the creator of Phoenix Wright which means its quite humorous & has a good story, my only complaint is the trial & error approach which takes ages to reset & rewatch the same event

Super great support!!. I absolutely adore all the updates and support they give to this legendary game ❤️ I got it quite some time back and have replayed it so many times, last time there was a period where the game wasn’t supported by the latest OS but I’ve literally never had a problem ever since. Ghost trick has such amazing replayability and even though I’ve done the puzzles before I don’t get sick of revisiting the story and playing again and again! Just gotta give yourself time to “forget” 😉

One of those games. This is one of those games that you just can't put down. Each new chapter brings a new twist. The play is interesting and tests your memory as well as tactical thinking. The story line is better and more in depth than most movies and I easily rate it the best story on the app store. I do not regret spending over $15 on this game. The best $15 I've spent on a game. You won't be disappointed.

I mean sure, they probably had good intentions when deciding to us the system, but too many things have gone wrong before that just don't make me trust it. I don't know why people are complaining about the massive amounts of dialogue, I read all the texts as it relates to the plot. Besides, you can always skip by holding your finger to the screen. Great game. Awesome game and storyline. Even though it's $10, it's still cheaper than getting the DS game. The dialogue and cutscenes are long because, unlike most games, it actually has a plot. People who are giving it low ratings because of this need to learn how to read. Edit: You do realize that you can fast-forward cutscenes, right? :) The only problem is that you can't turn the music off or adjust the volume; even on silent mode. Fix it and it's 5 stars. :)

The ending is very touching, a very unique storyline with lots of twists and turns its probably the best, well thought game I've played ever! If I could, I'd give it more than 5 stars, it deserves a round of applause :D What you should consider is the pricing for the next few chapters seem a tad overpriced! Either way it's a great game! I recommend this game to everyone who loves detective, crime, mystery, adventure, action, fiction - A must buy for everyone!!!

Best game on IOS, 11/10. This is, by far, one of the best games that has ever been released for iOS. The gameplay is original and incredibly executed, the characters are all unique and interesting, and the storyline is so encapsulatingly beautiful that it had me crying at the end. If you haven’t experienced this game then you’re missing out.

Absolutely excellent. Finally! Another game with a good story :D No surprise it's by the guys behind the Ace Attorney series (another fantastic DS series! Except maybe the investigations one....) For those complaining about price - People who make original concepts and integrate it into plot deserve more money than the rest of the rubbish in the App Store (I can't believe people think infinity blade is good... the graphics must have blinded them). For those complaining about dialogue - go cultivate more patience! It's a worthwhile romp. The most memorable games are the ones that let you invest in the characters. If you can't, I guess good stories are not for you. You'll have to go back to button mashing or frantic flicking or whatever else is to be done.

A new style of Adventure. A storyline with twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end. Controlling people and objects as a ghost is a new original style of gameplay. Good graphics with wallpapers unlockable as well. Some chapters need very quick reactions which is frustrating at times (such as chapters nine and ten). The main protagonist is not that likeable. This game deserves 4 stars though you will need to justify the high price.

Touching story. Love the concept and unique story! For those people who complains bout theres too much dialogue its not really the games problem you guys are too impatient to wait! And I can assure you after finishing the game its all worth it! The story will keep you playing for hours!If youre after a unique gameplay this is for you otherwise if you aint much of a puzzle gamer, look elsewhere.

Ghost Trick- A DS classic brought back to life for iphone. I was unable to find this gem at an affordable price for DS and was thrilled when I discovered Capcom made an iOS version. The story and characters were stronger than I expected and I had a blast figuring out all the puzzles along the way. It was rarely overwhelming for my average puzzle solving brain and was consistently rewarding. Interacting with all the objects was a joy and I was consistently able to get where I needed to be within the time limits. I was sold on the concept of solving environmental puzzles to prevent deaths, but the story and characters were so much more brilliant than I expected. I won’t spoil any of the surprises, but the main mystery is great and there are so many funny and dramatic characters to go on the journey with. It was so unusually good that I found myself wanting to share my phone with other people so that they could also enjoy the brilliance. This version strengthens the reputation of the game as an all-time classic. Thank you Capcom.

Phoenix Wright + Majora's Mask + puzzles. = a pretty fun game!

Still pretty fun!!. So I have the original version of this game and I wanted to see how this version worked so I could tell my friends about it. I’m using an IPhone 7 and despite the comments saying there is a glitch in the tutorial where it won’t stop loading, I didn’t have any issues while playing and managed to beat the first two chapters. This could have been fixed or I was lucky. Some comments talk about lag and personally I did not have an issue with lag but this could depend on your phone or maybe it’s an issue in later chapters. Yes, you have to buy the rest of the chapters but 13.99 for them is a lot cheaper then trying to buy the original version which might cost you 40$ or more. To note, I also saw a comment about someone struggling to renew their purchase? I haven’t bought all the chapters so I cannot comment on this. In terms of gameplay, it still works as well as it does on the ds. You still can move quickly from object to object, slide the screen around and interact with the environment with ease. Overall, I’m happy this game got a port to Apple devices and that you will enjoy one of my favourite games!

BUG. There was a bug or overload or crash or something. I think it overloaded because the game started to get laggy. It was close to the ending. Then I had to restart way behind again.

Masterpiece. Story, Visuals, Character design and Gameplay are incredible. This game is a hidden gem. The story will blow your mind and keep you on the edge of your seat during the whole game.

Amazing, underrated game. Ghost Trick is originally a DS title, ported to iOS last year on the Japanese iTunes store. Now that it has wider language support, everyone should give this creative, gorgeous, puzzle/adventure game a try. You don't even have to pay upfront, so you have no excuse not to play. The iPad version really shows off the wonderful animation.

Small problem, but this is amazing. I’ve played this game a lot, and I cannot recommend it enough. I took a break from it for a while though since I memorized the answers to all the puzzles and now it says I have to pay again? And when I try to restore my purchase it doesn’t do anything?

Decient. Although $9.99 for all the chapters seems a bit pricy, not to mention the strange ability to buy them in chunks ($4.99 per chapter set, 3 sets to buy) sorry capcom, your business acumen is making me want to vomit with rage. I'll just play it on the ole DS. One final issue is lack of any replay ability. Once you pass it, you know the whole game, unless you forget the solutions a few months later lol.

Great potential.... I think there is great potential here...I didn’t make it through the tutorial though because when it comes time to rewind to 4 minutes before her death, there’s just an endless loop of a clock hand spinning...if it could be played it would be a lot of fun.

Perfect for any Ace Attorney Fans. I can not recommend this enough to fans of the Ace Attorney series, or even visual novel/ puzzle fans in general. Ace Attorney is one of my favourite series by far, and this game is like a very long “last case” from one of those games. Great mystery and puzzles. Totally worth the money.

Very fun!. This game really took me for a ride, the puzzles really stumped me a few times. The characters were very entertaining. My only complaints is that there's not a proper pause button (but it will pause if you switch to another app) and you have to buy the rest of the game after buying the app. You only get the first few missions and then have to buy more from the start menu.

IAP are porked. In good news, the app no longer crashes at start up. In bad news, the IAP I paid for will not unlock. A shame you don't test your work.

The game itself is great but I was playing this on iOS13+ and iPhone X until I got hit by a game breaking bug 60% into the game that simply prevented me from completed the game. Crazy.. This is ridiculous. I bought the whole game and I’ve had to repeat the first chapter about 8 times now. I really enjoy where this game is going, otherwise I wouldn’t have had the patience. Every single time, when it’s time to rewind the clock for the first time, the game stops. Well, it doesn’t stop, it just keeps rewinding the clock back, never going to the next scene. I want my money back.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. This was originally on DS, and it is completely worth the $10 for the entire game! It is intriguing, amazing, and incredible, I have nothing else to say!

Capcom please let this game thrive. It was such a shame this game got kicked to the side, from what I’ve heard this game was a great creative outlet for the Ace Attorney crew. And everything about this game is so good. So Capcom god dammit get this game at least on PC and Switch.

Expected a bit more content.. While it’s a nice port, I’m a little frustrated at how little game we actually get. Sure, you get a couple sections for free, but after that, you have to pay for the rest of the game! Sure, I guess it’s to be expected, but it would be just a little bit better if we got, like, two more chapters.

My new fav puzzle game. Don’t research it, just download it and buy all the chapters and play it. I easily had 30 hours in this game. It’s well worth it. And the price on the DS version has skyrocketed.

Re download problems. I bought all of the chapters to this game a few years ago and it quickly became one of my favorite app games. However, when I am not able to re download the game (same issue other users have expressed). It’s been about 5 years, if any of the devs see this please fix the issue.

Broken on iOS 13. If you have a device on iOS 13 DO NOT PURCHASE. THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE, YOU CANNOT PROGRESS PAST THE FIRST AREA. It has a glitch that makes it so the loading animations loops indefinitely and the game never actually loads. Support cannot offer a fix so it’s unlikely one is on the way. It’s a great game but find another way to play it for now

In-pp purchases not recognized. I liked this game back on my old iphone and purchased all the chapters in 2013. Now I’ve moved back to iphone after many years and my purchases are not recognized. I have confirmation emails from iTunes on my purchases. It’s a great game other than that.

Why isnt family sharing working. My husband bought the full chapters yesterday and im unable to download any of them. We have family sharing enabled so it should not be a problem. I have tried reinstalling the game and hitting the redownload button in game, still nothing. Tried going to the support for the app webpage and surprise, its in japanese. Whats up?

Can’t restore my purchases.. Sadly broken. I played this game in the past and it was one of my favorites...but it has not been updated to work with modern iOS devices. It seemed to work at first, but during the tutorial, a time travel animation played, and the game got stuck in a loop, playing this animation over and over again. Until this is fixed the glitch renders the game unplayable.

very fun but.... Why do you have to pay to further the game? I have always hated games that are free and need you to buy the rest of the game. So please make it fre but for now I will be playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy until you fix this problem

DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE. Tried to give this game another go and NOPE! My original review stands. If you want to read a novel and fall asleep, download this game. 5 star reviews are all BS. Original: Good grief, after 20 minutes of playing I deleted this game straight away. 20 minutes of nothing but text and reading. No gameplay at all except for a few possession of objects. I want to play a game not read a novel.

Gameplay preventing glitch. I was really excited to play this game. I was ready to shell out some money for the extra chapters but there is a glitch stopping you from continuing your game. When you press the “Rewind Time” button the cutscene that plays after will loop and there is no known way to fix it. I can’t give this game 5 stars if I can’t finish the tutorial due to a glitch.

My favorite game among all.. It’s been many years and I still want to play the 3rd time! Please have new season or new game like this!

Does not save your game, very frustrating!. I love the animation, concept and puzzles. But you can’t stop midway through the chapter! You can save your place but I always start over at the beginning of the chapter. Very frustrating because the gameplay is slow even if you know exactly what to do. Not acceptable for a mobile game where phone interruptions are constant.

Please fix. There’s no way to get passed the tutorial when you rewind time for the first time. The clock animation keeps playing over and over again without continuing on after that. I was recommended this game by a friend who played this a year or two ago and it seems like the older versions worked better for her. Please fix the problem soon, I’d love to see the rest of the game.

Stuck in an endless loop. As soon as I hit the rewind button in the tutorial, I’m stuck on the loading screen. Leaving the game and going back to it only resumes right before this moment where I have to keep sitting through all the dialogue. And if I refuse to resume, it deletes the save and I have to sit through even more dialogue than before. Is this the trick?

Broken port. Have been unable to play this on iPhone X. I have to go through the tutorial chapter and as soon as it tried to rewind time, it will load indefinitely. I’d ask for a refund since I payed for all the chapter but I don’t think the developers read these reviews. I’d rather the game get fixed though.

Good game. Honestly I love this game but the cutscenes kinda just drag on too long kinda eliminating any gameplay time. But beside the waiting time 9.5/10 I love this game

Incompetent iOS port by Capcon. This game is a testament to capcom’s lazy, terrible iOS development. I purchased the game and paid in full for the in-app downloads. As soon as I changed devices and redone loaded the game onto a new phone, the game refuses to credit me for my past purchase. Have never had this problem on many other iOS games. Don’t download this game unless you want to be robbed by Capcom

This review is a placeholder. I require a response from the admin. Hello, I love this game, but at the first time travel section, my screen got stuck on constant "time travel". It keeps rerunning the animation, so I can't actually play the game after that point. Please help! There's only about fifteen minutes, more or less, of gameplay here, and most of it is talking.

Great game. It's a great game, but there's an annoying bug: it won't save the wallpapers I earned by completing the slide puzzles. The app just crashes whenever I try to save one of the wallpapers on my 4th gen iPad. It worked just fine on an iPhone 5s though.

Amazing, captivating. Whatever I'm supposed to be doing, I don't want to put down this game! :) The story really keeps me wanting to check out the next chapter. And the game mechanics are novel and work well, and the artwork and the whole atmosphere/setting/lore of the game create a great atmosphere.

Update please. It’s such a good game, it’s a shame they haven’t updated it in two years. I genuinely love this, but as it is now the game becomes unplayable the first time you go back in time.

Perfect game. I thought there was a bug at first in chapter 14 but I was really just an idiot and forgot that I could spin the globe climber again.

Is there a game here somewhere?. BRUTAL amounts of exposition. This game feels like clicking through an iTunes agreement if it never ended and you HAD to read the text. I’m going to keep giving it a try because I love adventure games and I paid money for it. If it didn’t save my progress however, I’m not sure I could go through the tutorial again.

I love this but my friends are haters. I just need to say that this game is amazing from the actions to the thrilling story but my friends were not so impressed and now they make fun of me for it but I don’t mind them I love this game and I want more of this Capcom!

Stuck at rewind. I love this game and have played through multiple times. I wanted to make sure to support the developers and bought the game again as it was first on my father’s ipad and i loved it. Super unhappy to find out that the game just does not work on the most recent ios. Hopefully they just make the game playable!

Nya. This game is just great really. One of my favorites from all times I just love it. Haven't found a game as good as this one yet. But really sad I can't continue playing and get to know how it all ends.

Best game ever!. This game is worth every penny you pay, it is fun, challenging, and has an unusual plot I have never seen before which is awesome because that is what makes it different from any other game. I recommend this to everyone who wants a game to love. AMAZING!!!!!

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH IOS 13. This is a great game! I would rate it higher except the developers have not updated it in over a year and show no signs of updating for iOS 13 compatibility, or even just updating the game’s listing to let potential buyers know it will not work on their device. Be warned!

Amazing game by amazing people. This game was originally on the Nintendo DS, and it was one of the most fun on their. Being ported to mobile didn’t hurt it a bit. It’s an amazing game that I wholeheartedly recommend for anybody who enjoys playing games.

The app crashes/freezes at the same place every time.. I can’t get past the tutorial because the app continues to get stuck in the clock loop after i try to save the woman the first time. Other people are having this same issue. The game is unplayable and the dialogue is trash and cumbersome.

Can’t play until bug fixed. The game gets stuck on the first “rewind time” option, where after you click the button it freezes and loops the animation. I downloaded this when I was a kid and never got past the free chapters, and I wanted to play this again, but now I probably can’t (unless I buy the DS version??)
